Flaky. The camera’s setup button gets bumped too easily and then it HAS to go through all the setup again before you can reconnect. Even outside of that problem it’s hard to keep a stable wifi connection and it gets stuck often and you have to manually reconnect.

Don't waste your time. Impossible to get to work with an iPhone.

Camera permanently bricked in 25 minutes. Evidently Wyze is good at fixing issues but this is sad. Camera won’t even go into setup mode. Was fun while it worked though.

No longer works with new iPhone update.. Developer haven’t updated app and no longer works with new iPhone update. Still selling the car saying that it’s compatible but it is not. Don’t purchase this car unless you have an android or an old version of Apple iOS.

App doesn’t load properly and crashes. I have been trying to use my Wyze car with the app for some time now even deleting the app now I can’t even get the app to respond to get the car connected again. Travel mode crashes the app.

DOES NOT WORK Anymore in 2023. The app has not been updated for a year now! With recen iOS updates It fails to even display a usable login screen. It makes the car utterly useless.

Crummy at Best. I have used this for a year and can confidently say it’s glitchy and most of the time not functional. Wyze is not a brand I would recommend on many levels… this app and the car it is supposed to control are junk.

What happened??. I’m severely disappointed in the Wyze brand as of late. They can’t even support the car app making it completely useless to use the Wyze car now. And this isn’t a new issue. It’s been broken at least 6 + months now. They have just completely disregarded the funds their customers have put into the product. What a waist.

App sign in is broken.. It’s practically impossible to sign in to the app. When opening it, the sign in for email, password are in portrait mode, but turn to landscape mode. When making the turn to landscape, the password field and the sign in button are not accessible, making it impossible to sign in. If you can manage to get in this is a fun diversion for a short while.

One of the worst. The UI for this app is horrible.. unable to sign up because the app starts in wrong orientation.

When making the turn to landscape, the password field and the sign in button are not accessible, making it impossible to sign in.” This is the same for me. I’m using iPhone 14 Pro Max. Frustrated.

Crap. At least fix the layout issue so that we can login properly.

App user interface is the worst. This app gets stuck in landscape orientation and during set up and log in it makes the process nearly impossible….extremely frustrated As for the camera, that’s also very difficult to get it set up. Overall not a good experience

App crashes immediately. As of September 2021, the app no longer works for me. It crashes immediately when I try to open it

Garbage product. After hours of resetting my modem and formatting everything again nothing works abs the car is useless. They Should give everyone a refund!

Support the app?. Super annoying how you guys have basically bricked this thing by not supporting the app. When I open it I can’t even sign in because the box where I type my password is not on the screen due to some formatting issue. Very janky and flaky thing to do, makes me not want to waste more money on Wyze products. I’m done recommending them to friends or family.

Car unusable after getting new dual band router. My new router has a combined 2.4ghz and 5ghz under a single SSID. This is the only router offered by optimum in Brooklyn. Additionally the app acts super weird and is sometimes unusable when rotating the phone and causes all the menus to get lost off screen. What a waste of money.

Typical. App doesn’t login anymore , no updates.

Broken travel mode. The app is pretty glitchy. It briked the camera on the first try (had to manually reflash the firmware) and travel mode does not work at all. When I switch to travel mode the camera feed is live but none of the controls work, making it pretty useless

Car won’t move. Not sure if it’s the app or the car itself. I get a camera feed but the car will not move when using the on screen virtual joystick.

Broken App. The app worked when I first got this car and I used it a handful of times. I booted up the app for the first time in a while and it no longer works. The login screen gets cut off so it’s hard to log in. If you do get logged in, the app immediately closes. I assume this is a compatibility issue with IOS 16.1 since the app hasn’t had an update over a year.

Cannot log into app due to screen rotation. The screen is rotated on the login screen and will not work.

Needs Update. 6-1-2023 Update: The devs finally updated the app and it’s now totally useable on iOS 16. Thank you so much for fixing the UI! Can you please update this app to support iOS 16? It’s so much fun to drive around and check on my pets 🐾 while I’m at work. It’s so sad I can’t use it even though it’s still being sold from your website 😔

Never worked. Never could get the app to work. I work in technology innovation so unlikely user error. The battery also only works sometimes, as the voltage must varying or something. It’s not enough to power the camera sometimes.

Does not work. Should be hidden in the Wyze app. Doesn’t work.

Epic fail on app and support. Opened up app just now and it won’t adjust the login screen to make any of the password fields visible and can’t progress forward with keyboard. Opened up supports case through regular wyze app and it bricked the app while I was mostly through typing out the open ticket fields to start email ticket. So incredibly frustrating when all I’m trying to do is drive a stupid remote car.

Do not buy. Seriously I’m starting to wonder if Wyze has forgotten about this app. Like other reviewers it “bricked” my camera in travel mode. Trying to reinstall again, the sign on screen is only partially visible on the page making signing in impossible.

Colossal Fail. The fact that first customer ship date was April 1st is telling. Like so many others have reviewed here, this is a complete total waste of time and money. When you finally get it going sort of, you’ll find the control flaky, laggy and annoying unresponsive. Steering is hard left or hard right, no digital proportional. And when it’s left or right, the steering servo is constantly chattering hard left or right sucking as much power as it can trying to turn even harder. This means there’s not enough power left to move forward or backwards. A major design failure. If you start moving first and then try steering, it almost sorta kinda works, but a real poor experience. Then, try out the travel mode to see if it’s any better? No, don’t. Once you do, try as you might repeatedly, it won’t connect. And, it won’t let you just reconnect back in normal mode. Follow the directions, delete the camera, even delete the whole app and reinstall, it’s forever now stuck in trying to connect in travel mode which doesn’t work, so now it’s a totally bricked useless pile of crap. With this, a died pan cam, three of my other six cameras with such crappy audio quality as to be useless, finding my newest Pan Cam v3 isn’t eligible for video clips on my plan, I think I’m done with Wyze.

Bought the car and it never worked!. Could ever get it to work. Tried tech support but wasn’t any help. Thought Wyze was better than that.

cant login. orientation is all borked. get it together

Pretty good!. But sometimes if your device is too far away from your car when it’s on travel mode it might freeze or lose connection although i do recommend using travel mode instead of cellular dada or internet

Terrible app. It is good that I have android phone b caus ethis app is unusable. Problem with control alignment, distorted qr code which cannot be scan by the camera. It looks like app made by the student without any qa control.

Complete and utter garbage. I’m a tech guy so I do networking all day. I’ve written app code and designed interfaces. The app design goes against every best practice out there. It’s buggy, completely unreliable and is not compatible with IOS 15 or 16… from what I can tell. After a week trying to get this to work I am returning the car (actually the second one cause I thought the first one was just defective) don’t waste your time with this or the car. Wyze is anything but for allowing this garbage app on the market ans shame in Apple fro allowing it to stay.

Broken. This is really disappointing. The app is completely broken. It locks into landscape mode when you have to type something in. It doesn’t support 5g wifi networks. I can’t even connect the wyze cam to the app because the QR code is stretched and other app components cover it. Really surprised this came from Wyze.

Non functional. This app clearly has not been updated to support the latest versions of iOS. The set up is extremely glitchy and does not properly display the QR code for linking the camera.

Not able to set up. Trying to set up app first time and goes on loops keep asking for verification code please fix the app

Remote Spy rover?. Ok, I preordered as soon as I saw it, the concept is really cool. I love the WYZE cam v3 as it is the best do more camera with an ease of use that is crazy simple. The WYZE car is also very easy however I would like to see a charger base for this car, if you read this WYZE I am going to build and test one myself just so you know. (Can you tell me the power draw while it is just sitting?) There is a few hiccups when starting it for the first time, if it does not find the car after you complete set up just unplug it’s battery wait about 30 seconds and plug back in. This will restart the system and you should be fine if not go through the setup agian or check your home WiFi signal strength. I have multiple access points (ap’s) as our farm house is large and the car has no problem as yet jumping between them, even when outside. I do with it had a proportional steering as what it has is nothing short of a toy grade RC car. As a first product it does however prove concept and I hope they make a more capable version to use with say the v3 camera. I am using the WYZE cam black on my rover as it was the only one in stock and the v1 is not a great quality camera. I have yet to test away from the house under cellular signal and I have not done travel mode where it directly connects to the rover. I will say however that this little guy showed a lot of promise even for things like running it in your crawl space to check for damage of any kind. It’s head lights work quite well. Hope this helps you decide, but I will add this this is not a kids toy. It will not take large punishment. I did test it on a free fall of 3 feet and it did fine but, I do not know how many it will take as it is all plastic. I will be doing a lot of upgrades to this little car even thinking of planing it onto a true rock crawler frame.
