Remote for Tesla App Description & Overview
What is remote for tesla app? Add Apple Watch & Siri/Shortcut support to your Tesla vehicle
- Very reliable Siri & Shortcuts support that works even if the car is asleep. Control and get your car stats on the watch or phone without opening the app. You can combine/schedule/automate commands based on triggers/conditions such as when you're driving, if your charging cable isn't plugged in, when you're sleeping, when you're about to go to work, when you're connected to certain Bluetooth or WiFi connections, when you tap a NFC tag, when your alarm goes off, or a certain time each day. Add Shortcuts as icons on your home screen or widgets for quick access to your car's stats or to control it.
- Fully functional Apple Watch app with vehicle stats complications
- Opens, connects, and issues commands faster than other Tesla apps
- Queued commands. You can close the app after issuing a few commands even if your car is asleep and it'll still do them.
- View your battery stats such as the current/total usable kWh of your car compared to the stated capacity, how much phantom drain your car currently has, and a history of your car's range vs its odometer/time.
- Display battery/power usage even when not charging
- No phantom drain or background usage. This app doesn't use your car's batteries when the app isn't in use.
- See the total miles/kWh added from the last charge session
- Estimated range is displayed (this estimates your battery range based on your past 30 miles of usage)
- Consolidated stats and commands into one screen for quicker access to information. View all three ranges (estimated, rated, ideal/typical, odometer) at the same time and up to the nearest 1/100th mi/km
- See and copy the raw vehicle data returned by Tesla's API servers
- 3D Touch menu for quick commands from the Home Screen
- Use HomeLink or Summon your car when not near it and without continuous press needed (autopilot required). Activate keyless start prior to Summon to avoid needing a keyfob nearby.
- Avoid idle fees from Tesla by setting an in-app alarm that alerts you when charging reaches a certain kW or % level
- Camp/Dog Mode allows you to keep the HVAC on in the car even though there is no activity. Normally, the car will turn off HVAC after 30 minutes.
- View how many range miles are being used per hour
- Use the remotes:// URL schema with parameters to issues commands
- Max cool and Max heat buttons to quickly send multiple commands to your car to optimize cooling and heating
- No-Commands Mode lets you log in the app for your family/friends to monitor your Tesla's location without allowing them to control to your car
- Breadcrumb tracking allows you to see the path that the car has recently taken
- Trip statistics shows your current MPGe, kWh used, miles traveled, kWh per 100 miles, cost savings vs. an internal combustion engine car, cost savings over the car's lifetime, and many more fun stats
- Save trip routes to different save slots and compare the distance, kWh used, cost, and more for each route
- In-app browser can detect commands from javascript so that you can create scheduled, queued or repeated commands
- Ability to change passenger and driver temperature separately

Remote for Tesla Comments & Reviews 2026
Remote S Rocks !!!. The functionality of this app is incredible, and is constantly improving. Just the other day, I had the wrong house key in my pocket and was locked out. I simply tapped the HomeLink button, and while my car was in the garage, it opened the garage door for me. To be able to summon my tesla or even adjust the battery charge level from my Watch is remarkable. I love it!
Force touch fixed!!. Had a problem with my apple watch series 6 where the force touch feature stopped working and nothing I tried would work. I reached out to the developer who walked me through a couple of fixes that finally got it working again. Developer had great communication and returned my emails in a very timely manner. Would recommend this app for many reasons particularly for the watch’s readily availability. Thanks again for helping me!!
Lock unlock w apple watch series 3 LTE does not function. I got this app specifically for the lock/unlock feature using the apple watch series 3 with LTE to use when the watch is untethered to mi iphone. In spite of reading developer notes on this issue the feature simply will not function reliably on my untethered apple watch. Frustrated. Spent $10 for nothing. Apple watch appears unable to remain connected to app/car and is intermittent in function. When it does connect untethered it is very very slow to respond to commands. I want to like this. Hoping for better Apple watch series 3 untethered capability.
Used to work but doesn’t support next-gen Tesla authentication. Tesla recently changed access to their API and that’s rolling out to everyone in the next little while. Now to login you need to use OIDC or something similar, and to access your car’s remote controls and such you need to install a software key on the car so communications are end to end encrypted, otherwise no remote commands. Tessie figured this out and that app works for me, but this app quit working altogether and most likely it will quit for everyone soon enough.
Apple Watch functionality.. I was disappointed to see Apple Watch screens shots is the samples before you are asked to buy the App and once you spend the money have of the screens are on the actual App that you paid for...bait and switch? Example...shows a picture of a Start car icon. Not on the App I bought!
Apple Watch. Overall, I like this app. Only frustration is that the Apple Watch app seems to always be lagging on updating and I can’t find a way to force the Apple Watch app to refresh. Sometimes when I open watch app it will update and other times it will be yesterday’s date/time and won’t update. Wish there was a swipe or something to force a refresh.
Wish it would work on untethered Apple Watch Series 3 LTE. This app may not have the best user interface, but it functions well on my Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE, and on my iPhone X. However, the app does not work on my Apple Watch when the watch is using LTE, without the iPhone nearby. It would be nice if the app would work on the Apple Watch using LTE for the times when I don’t have my iPhone with me (e.g. at the gym). Presently, if I launch the app on my Apple Watch while on LTE, the app UI looks like it is connected to my car because it shows charge percentage, HVAC settings, etc. But it really isn’t connected and any attempts to perform a function (e.g. turn on HVAC, honk horn, etc) are not carried out by the app. It would be better if the app displayed a message that it is not connected rather than appear that it is connected. I hope in the future the developer will add the ability to use the Apple Watch LTE when untethered from an iPhone, but for now it is a solid app on the Apple Watch if your iPhone is close by.
Must-have for Tesla owners. Incredibly easy to use and powerful app. So much better and more useful than the native Tesla app. The best part is all the IOS Automations this app provides. I can easily now tell Siri to preheat or precool my car, open or close the trunk/frunk, and send the address of my next calendar event to the Tesla so it automatically starts routing me when I get in the car. There are so many possibilities thanks to this app! Lastly the Apple Watch integration is fantastic as well. I hardly ever pull my phone out!
A must-have!. Works on iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. With the watch, you can turn on the climate control system while you're taking your morning shower. With remote unlock, you can get into your car that fateful day you can't find your key. And, also with your watch, you can start the car.
Works great and gets better. Keep in mind this app can only do what Tesla and Apple allow. That said, I’d does a lot. Shortcuts has made it even better. You’ll need a good cell connection for your car, so don’t expect it to work any better than the Tesla app in that regard. I see the developer responding to questions almost daily online, showing great patience as a lot of the inquiries are the same questions getting repeated. I have also seen updates that improve functionality regularly. There is something pretty slick about saying ‘get ready’ into my watch and having my car respond as I want through a shortcut I created using this app!
Nice Tesla Watch App.. Had few problems! 1st I could not get the watch app. On my watch face. Because it was called Remote. But Apple also has a remote. Which defaulted to Apple Remote app. After Apple’s 18 and 11 updates. The app finally showed up as Tesla Remote. Then I was able to get it on the watch face. Next everything seen to work but the Start Climate, Keyless Start, Unlock, and Lock! Please help with this! Then it would be 5 Stars!
Has issues with Model 3. Bought this app for my Model S. Works well. Happy with the app on the Model S. However I have issues on the Model 3. The speed indicator is all over the place, indicating the speed of the Model 3 is going from -14mph one second to 144mph another second, when the vehicle is actually going 50mph. The estimated range shows as 0 while the rated range and ideal range indicate the same value (for example, 255 miles of range). I tried to find an email address for the developer to write to him directly but couldn't find one, so posting this here in hopes he sees this.
Great app for Tesla owners who want maximum detail about their vehicles. This app provides extensive detail about your tesla all on a single screen. It is not quite as intuitive as the official app but provides all of that data and more. I particularly like that it shows the expected range based on your last 30 miles of driving, which is a much more accurate predictor of the range you are likely to see. The Apple Watch app also works well and is your only real option if you want to control your vehicle from your watch.
Slower than using the Tesla app. I bought this app in hopes that it would save me a bunch of button tapping and menus to just open my front trunk, which I do all the time. I chose this app since it was well reviewed and offered Apple watch capabilities. The design of the app and usage is great when it works, but often times I find the connection slow and laggy to the point that I'm better off just pulling out my phone and opening the Tesla app. When trying to use the watch functions there's almost always a tremendous delay from the instruction from my watch until the actual function of the car. For example, I press open front trunk on my watch. Nothing happens. I wait a minute, nothing happens. I pull out my phone, open the front trunk with my Tesla app, put my stuff in and close it, get into my car start to drive and then my front trunk opens. Now I have to get out of my car, close my front trunk and get back in and start driving again. And God forbid I multi tap the button while it's not opening the first time, those instructions will all go through later so I have to stand there and wait for the 3 times it'll unlock my front trunk. Overall I wanted to like the app and have given it a bunch of tries, but really I just wish I returned the app soon enough to get my money back.
Tesla should buy this - slick interface.. Slick app for Tesla which duplicates and adds to the function of the official Tesla App, including Apple Watch integration which is really cool. Also works with Apple Shortcuts Functions include: start car, unlock car, start HVAC, open charge port, change charge limit, adjust temperature, open/close pano roof (not tested), honk horn and flash lights. Can geo-locate vehicle and gives info on inside temperature, outside temperature, charge status, estimated, rated and ideal miles. Looks like you can also enter more than one vehicle (I only have one Tesla!) Click ‘Remotes’ on the main page to get to the web browser where you can apparently add some additional commands with a custom webpage.
Good app. Well written app and has useful features. Would be nice to have model 3 specific layout (don’t need roof controls). I also have a little beef with some of the controls being long presses on random parts of the screen, and I can’t figure out how the trip mode works (getting to the different display mode). I basically got this for the extra details on charging and the iwatch app (with iwatch3 its possible to unlock car with the watch and no phone!).
Great app! However, not working with Apple Watch yet. I’m guessing this is because Apple Watch recently had an update.. shortcuts work fine on iPhone (iOS 14), but not on Watch (version 4) with software version 7.0.1 - when I run a shortcut from watch I get a message, “The operation took too long to complete. Please try again.” This is for every shortcut I try. I’m sure you guys are on it, but wanted to mention in case you weren’t aware. Works great on my phone !
Liking the app. I got the app so I could use my iwatch as a backup. Works great. There is a delay but I expected that. What I didn’t expect was how often I use my watch to remotely unlock or start the HVAC. I wish there was a little more feedback. I don’t know if the watch accepted the command and sent it to the car. If I use the watch to pop the trunk, I usually sit waiting a minute just wondering if I should hit the button again. The watch using cellular seems to work fine, just takes a minute or two.
Nice app for tesla drivers. I use a combo of this and the manufacturer app but most of the time I use this one to monitor the car, turn on or off climate control, etc. The interface is a little clunky and it’s mildly annoying how the charge limit prompt seems to pop up almost always when opening app but these are not a big deal. That’s what kept it from 5 stars. The functionality is good. It’s definitely worth the money.
Open your car from your watch!. The watch feature of opening your car from your wrist is such a wonderful feature (my watch goes everywhere). But it is missing one thing: direct Bluetooth connection to my car (like my phone) so that my watch automatically will open the car when I pull the door lever. Instead I have to open the app on my watch and open the car before opening the door.
Waste of money and false advertising!. Update: Developer responded which I appreciated. However I had figured out the resolution on my own after using a competitor app. The competitor app also had the same issues. Fortunately it had trouble shooting instructions that were more helpful. I troubleshooted the remote Tesla app using the competitors instructions, and fixed the problem. I do like the interface of the remote Tesla app best so I came back. Wasted $10 on this and couldn’t get it to do what I bought it for which is Apple Watch integration. I have the 5 series Watch and since I installed the app it’s been saying Connecting please use the phone app. Will be removing and getting a refund.
Just use the tesla app. The promise of an Apple Watch app for opening the doors on the model 3 convinced me to give the app a try. So far both the phone and the watch apps have been very unreliable in opening the doors. The app advertises faster startup times than the Tesla app but I don’t see that in practice. The apps UI is frankly terrible. Nothing is obvious about where the functions are. Many features are buried in a sea of tiny buttons. Many other features are also in the Tesla app such as notifications when supercharging is complete. The camping mode for the climate system might be useful. Don’t think I will ever use this app.
Helpful app. It is a useful app. Compared to the design of the official Tesla app, which has several pages, this app puts everything on a single page. There are pros and cons to this (while things are readily accessible information end up quite small and a bit cluttered). But there is one feature alone that justifies this app in my view. This app calculates energy usage over the last 30 miles in order to predict range on current charge. My ‘real world’ prediction is only 72% of the Tesla default estimate. Whether this is due to very cold weather or due to the majority of my travel being at highway speeds, or to something else, this is incredibly valuable information to have for planning.
Works fast and reliably!. Got the shortcuts, Siri and Apple Watch working well together. I can summon my car with just my voice on my Apple Watch. I don’t even need to bring my iPhone or car key with me, because my Apple Watch can unlock and start the car by itself. This is the only app where the shortcuts work perfectly all the time.
Great app, even greater support. Being new to shortcuts, I’d bollocksed it up without realizing it. Alan did a great job helping verify his app was not at fault and then going the extra mile to point out my shortcut flaws. (Turning on seat warming first fails, since climate was not turned on first. Duh!) I’d like a web page with app instructions and a FAQ, but pressing the words “Remote” at the top of the screen leads to some instructions
Does NOT work with Apple Watch anymore! Fix PLEASE!!. The app used to work great on my Apple Watch six it was a little slow to respond but it did work. It was great I could unlock my car if I did not have my phone with me. Then it got to where it would take longer and longer to open. Eventually to not working at all. It would only say connecting….. but never connects to the car it is completely useless I am completely frustrated with it please please please fix it put it back the way it was!
On the Road. As a travel nurse, I am always on the move. I travel across country or across the state from north to south or east to west. I have recently had a move from one area of Florida to North Florida. 560 miles I think. I left my computer in my car inside my car in satellite Beach. I had to drive to North Florida in a U-Haul. And leave my car in satellite Beach at my friends house. I checked the car temperature and it was too high. I turned on climate control and had my friend go out to the car, which I opened remotely, and she was able to remove my computer from the backseat. Thank you tesla, Brigitte Bestoso, RN
Not intuitive but unique features. I keep having to resort to the manual (web page) to locate info on where to find what because the hot spots to items are in odd places on the screen which are not necessarily related to the items desired. For example: Tapping the Inside Vehicle Temp indication pulls up the roof vent controls (not the cabin temp controls- those are elsewhere) Tapping on the Charge Rate indication pulls up the Charge Limit Slider (logical) but also the Driver Temp Zone Slider & Passenger Temp Zone Slider. Of course the cabin temp controls are located in a completely different section which control the same thing as the Driver Temp Zone Slider. There is a multiple trip calc/tracker available. I end up fiddling with the menus in or off to get that to finally open but can’t remember how to show/hide/on/off/delete/save any of that without another trip to the manual so just forget it. The watch app is the most useful for me. Much more intuitive (no manual needed however not as robust. I turn on the hvac with a long press and a tap. Done. Use it quite often in the winter.
Useless with apple watch. The main reason I got this app is too open frunk/trunk via hey siri command on my apple watch with my phone in my pocket (hands free trunk and frunk opening?) ... but all I get is "use the app"... through phone it has no issues and it opens closes whatever I want, which I could do using free tesla app, but through apple watch it just keep asking me to use the app instead.. useless.. oh and that UI.. nightmare, really confusing UI and complicated and small even on my iphone xs max buttons are small and a bit hard to press with big fingers... should've read reviews before wasting $10.. ..I just need to get my money back and I'll be happy again.. unless developer is willing to make changes and make apple watch app useful so people don't get frustrated and overreact :) I'm a QA and Tesla fan, own two Model S's. If developer needs my service I'll be happy to QA the app for free
Need button for unlocking charging port. Unlocking charging port button seems to only show up when charging is complete. This is not typical use case for me. I typically cannot charge to the set limit at work or on the road due to time constraint. After I stop charging, I need to see button unlock port and use it. Now I only see start charge button. I appreciate having all controls and useful map info in one screen. But this deficiency actually kills the purpose of this app to me as I need to go back to use the official app. Please fix it.
Great with Apple Shortcuts app. This app does what you would expect from the official Tesla app. It provides support for the Apple Watch, which may not sound that exciting, however this combined with support for the Apple Shortcuts app means that you can write some useful shortcuts and then run them with Siri. For example, you can write shortcuts like: “Hey Siri, open my trunk”. Think of having your hands full in the parking lot and trying to open the trunk. Or… “Hey Siri, set charge limit to 80 percent”. Or to 100 percent for that big trip later. Better tell Siri now while you’re thinking about it. “Hey Siri, is my car locked”? “Hey Siri, lock my car” For the shortcuts to run, you will need to wait for the Tesla to wake up, if it isn’t already, so don’t expect to get to your car and ask Siri to open trunk and it will immediately occur. Instead do it as you are walking to the car. Or just run another shortcut to wake up your Tesla a short time before. Like “Hey Siri, what’s the temperature in my car”. These shortcuts are not included with this app, but writing your own is not that difficult if you’re into this kind of thing. If you had problems with this in the past, get Version 4.7.4 and try again.
Good but..... The app doesn't stay running in the background as expected. I always leave it running and open in the background, but half the time when I click on it to check it, I get nothing but a grey screen and I have to manually close the app and relaunch it. When it works, the phone app is great, and great when used via voice through Siri. Needs big improvement on the watch part of the app though. Doesn't work most of the time and takes too long to refresh to make it a practical use. Siri is a no go on the watch to use the app. Exact opposite of when you use the phone.
Tesla Remote App. Overall a very good app. It has a much better UI than Tesla’s app. It also allows assigning voice commands to most of the controls which is really cool. I do have one complaint which should be an easy fix. The cancel button is adjacent to the stop summon button which is an issue. It’s easy to accidentally press the cancel button instead of the stop summon button. When this happens, the menu closes but your car continues to move. You then have to quickly re-open the menu (and avoid panicking) and press stop summon to stop the car. The cancel button needs to be moved.
Good app - use it daily. This program seems to connect to my car more reliably than the native Tesla app. I primarily use it to turn on the a/c to cool the car before driving. Buttons need to be considerably larger. (Difficult to use as they are if you have fat fingers.). Also, they type could be pumped up 2 to 4 points to enhance readability. I would rather have the options/commands spread over a couple of screens and be more easily accessed.
Apple Watch app is buggy. This app is pretty good, second only to Stats, and has a lot of cool capabilities that makes me suggest that you purchase both it and Stats. However, the Apple Watch app is buggy and hangs. I have an iPhone XS and an Apple Watch 5, and even when the iPhone app is freely communicating with the car, the Watch app will freeze up solid between screens. Given I am using the largest, most powerful Watch Apple sells as of this writing, I don’t think this is an issue with resources. I have tried force quits and restarts, and always get the hang eventually. I hope this gets fixed soon, as a good complication for controlling and checking on my car would be fantastic.
Works on Watch, iPhone, iPad, Desktop!. The Bad - The UI is a bit stuffed full and takes a minute to figure out. The Good - So much to say. I use it almost every day on my watch though the iPhone app from Tesla is easier on the iPhone. However, I just discovered the at the iPad version works perfectly on M1 Apple Silicon Macs so it's pinned to my dock! Thanks for putting in the effort to make a better Tesla App!
Great but conflicts. This app’s shortcuts are fun and useful, especially if you don’t program your own. The only issue I’m having is a conflict with certain Siri commands (eg, “Lock my car”, “Unlock my car”) which prompts Siri to ask me “Which app do you want to use?” creating an extra step. Seems like Tesla’s app comes with certain shortcuts that you can’t edit and this causes confusion. Would be great if the developer found a workaround for those conflicting shortcuts. Otherwise, it’s great.
Working again!. I’m updating my review because the app is now working again after being broken for some weeks. I’m glad for it, since it’s a great app. Has some features and controls the Tesla app doesn’t have, including watch functionality.
All the extra stuff you could want. I mean, just look at the list of things you can do in the description. I’ve been using Tesla Remote for only a couple days and it’s been flawless. I especially like the Shortcuts integration. I made one called “wacky waving inflatable arm tube man“ that’s pops open my trunk, frunk, and charge port at the same time. Can’t do that with other apps!
Good app. Great when it works properly. Think iOS shortcuts have some shortcomings and the Car itself now takes WAY too long to wake up. This app does a good job of doing what it can considering the limitations. When I kept sentry on and didn’t have to worry about waking the car it was flawless. Still pretty cool to be able to set climate control based on interior temp and open trunk and trunk from watch.
Happy with it [apple watch app] and I’m hyper critical. Happy with app overall [specifically purchased for apple watch app] and I’m hyper critical so thats saying something. It’s worth it for the Apple Watch functionality alone. If you have any issues with the app connecting to your car or if there is a delay check your energy conserving settings on the car itself to make sure it is remaining connected to cellular or Wi-Fi always.
Like it but needs to improve. I love that I can bring my Apple Watch and I can drive my car however the lock unlock and start feature or not smooth enough it needs to be improved a lot more so please fix that part because the response on the watch sending the signal is so slow it can be confusing because of the delay and it’s confusing to find where to start the car as well not super confusing but in general this app needs to improve
Update: User error. The app is actually great. Update: I stand corrected. I was simply wrong. After playing more with the Apple Watch app it does do everything I was hoping it would do. It is indispensable now and perfect. I can control nearly every function of my tesla from my watch so it saves a lot of time. No complaints. Previous update: Developer responded. Unfortunately upon pressing on the screen I am still not able to see more than 4 options per screen on my watch and of those only the first 4 options in the first screen are related to controls for things like charging. This makes it hard to add value as I need to pull my phone for nearly everything. Putting 2 stars. Also requested access to the developer forum so that I can bring concerns but still have not been granted access. If I get it and can get this resolved I will be happy to upgrade the stars. Want more features for your phone then great. Want more features for your Apple Watch then forget it. You get fewer than almost any other app. I purchased one for 2.99 that I have defaulted back to as this one does not even open up the charging port. Essentially it only has 4 controls.
Worked well for a while… then it wouldn’t start the car. Got the app so that I could operate my Tesla using only my Apple Watch. For a while it worked very well such that I no longer had to bring my phone or car key with me. That is, until recently. The operation of the app started to get MUCH slower, so slow that I would need to wait 3-5min for the car to unlock after I gave the instruction (via iPhone shortcuts). The biggest problem is that now the app completely fails to start the car. So no more keyless driving using this app, which renders it almost useless for my intent and purposes.
Good app, it’s worth it. I find this app to be useful esp the Apple Watch features and I thinks it’s worth the price. I use it a lot when I go surfing or for hikes and I can just leave my phone in the car with Bluetooth off and I can lock and unlock the car from the Apple Watch. I do find it works better if the Tesla app is open as well.
Almost works. Well, to start with I have to say that the UX is probably among the worst of apps I’ve ever used. This app needs a serious and thorough makeover. What I bought this app mainly to get the Siri shortcuts support. Unfortunately I’ve found them to be practically useless. To make them work I first have to launch the regular Tesla app, wait for my car to wake up and then use the siri shortcuts. If I try to use the shortcuts before the car has been woken up it just errors out and tells me to try again or try from the app. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong. I have a Model 3 if that matters.
Worth it! Buy it! Open your frunk with Siri!. I pretty much bought this app for the quick controls on my Apple Watch and for Siri integration. That being said, the app does offer some additional functions you don’t currently get with the native Tesla app. I think it’s well worth the price and you’ll get a kick out of everything you can do with Siri controlling your car!
Almost there. I like the app. It’s much easier to use in a lot of ways then Tesla‘s application. But there’s one problem. Using on with this app, you can’t just sit down in your car and drive away. I find myself having to hit the “keyless entry “button on the iPhone app. That is, I have to pull out the iPhone app and switch to thr “Remote for Tesla” app in order to drive the car. The primary use case for having an app at all is to be able to sit in the car and drive away without having to do anything extra. So, I ask the developers to change this app so that we can just drive away with it running and not need to run Tesla’s app too.
Control from just my watch LTE. This app is amazing and I was able to use it yesterday without my iPhone from the new Apple Watch with LTE. Is it possible that the app can keep working if I restart the watch while away from my phone? Currently seems like it’s coded where I need to start the Watch app while connected to my phone
Great apps but updates are few and far between.. I'll say it doesn't have the best interface, but once you know it, it has a ton of information at your fingertips. The problem is app updates are often VERY far apart. The late April 2023 update was the first one in almost a year. So when it works, the app is top notch, but if there is an issue don't expect a fix anytime soon. For example, something broke the app and it was useless for a few days before the April 2023 update finally pushed out fixing the problem.

Tesla. Great app, no problems here.
Works great but. Main issue is the messy interface. But works great otherwise
Fab!. Love this app! It is so handy! I don’t have to fumble for my phone or fob anymore to control my car! All from the wrist baby! Love it!
Useful. Not as pretty as Tesla's own app but gives a little more access to car features. For example you can fully open the sunroof, rather than just vent it like with the Tesla app.
Awesome. Great
Solid App. It's a solid app, perhaps not the flashiest looking but very functional. I especially like the watch integration and find that an easy and convenient way to open the charge port or the car if I don't have the key.
Cannot use with Siri. I cannot figure out how to speak to Siri to get the Siri commands to work and it is not documented. Need an example like “Hey Siri honk horn in Tesla Remote” but that exact examples does not work.
Remote S. Good app. Adds a few more options to the Tesla what's available on the app.
Contains Ads. I just purchased this app for $15. Nowhere does it state that there are ads included. I tapped on the Remotes button at the top and there are ads in the app! At the top, constantly flashing at me, and at the bottom of the page! Please remove these! A purchased app should NEVER have ads in it, that is super greedy! I get that they are in a website that is external to the app but it’s a website owned by yourself, and the ads are designed to be shown in your app, you’ve clearly thought about this before you implemented it! Extremely unimpressed with that attitude of making money, it’s super cheeky!
Good product. The app is a little 'busy' but aside from that it's great to have the option of being able to control the car from the Apple Watch
Great App. I love the detailed information you can get from this app. The apple watch app is fantastic and it looks great! The developer is responsive and open for discussion which is a big positive.
Great App,. much more detailed and helpful information, easy to use.
The best companion to the official app. The best companion app out there for your Tesla, especially on Apple Watch, with simple icon based gestures and a minimalist UI. Far more powerful than it first appears with lots of built it scripting abilities, but still very simple to use if you don’t need any of that. You can also turn off background updates for both the phone and watch so it has zero impact on battery life when you aren’t using it.
Absolutely Awesome. Works flawlessly, looks gorgeous and has very good Apple Watch integration.
Superb. Congratulations on a fantastic app. Works flawlessly. It would be nice if the directions function from the T app could be added. Also the ability to plan a route on the phone and transfer it to the car would be awesome.
Amazing!. Works just as advertised.
Useless for me. I bought it so I can automate summon which doesn’t work. Without it, the original TESLA app is even better.
Fails to open car. Wanted to open car with watch after surfing but most times won’t work
Crashes on Startup. The app is useless, after paying $14.99 I expect it to work, but no, once I try to sign in it crashes without warning. I tried multiple times, delete, reinstall the app etc, but get the same result. Waste of money
Ahhhh. Great companion with tesla app, it would be greater if it can control the Windows
Almost perfect. Really good design both mobile and watch. Just wished it could show units based on car settings. I use metric system not English.
Great!. Great app. Thanks for building it!
Great app for my Model S. This is a great app for finer control of your Tesla. It has a lot more features compared to the Tesla app and I find it quite informative.
Life Saver. My fob started to fail and I was locked out of my car. Had to get the spare fob as my handbag with the fob...and my phone...were locked inside. Not only does it mean that I have backup when I am away from home, I can now go the the garage without having to take my handbag with the fob inside as I can use the app on my Apple Watch! Just love it!
Force Touch. Please fix Force Touch on Apple Watch. Force touch not working.
Top Customer Service. Great, multi-function / purpose app. By far the best / powerful watch implementation. FANTASTIC Customer support. Watch complication issue sorted via 4 email thread within 15minutes!!
Watch and learn. Steps ahead of the official app including Apple watch integration. Developer listens to users comments and improves the app over time. Keep up the good work!
Like it. Only had a few days but works well

Sync with apple device. I am not able to sync this app with my Apple Watch. Any suggestions?
Not to be missed. This is my everyday go to app for my car. There are a lot of similar apps of course but I like the interface. It’s the perfect supplement to the Tesla app and I like the shortcuts and the ease of use with presets. I’ve had it more than a year without issues.
Drains the battery and very few features. Very limited features especially for the SR+ model3 Since I have used it I have noticed a rise in phantom drainage Lost almost 10 Km overnight yesterday I will monitor for few days before hitting the delete button The 4 Siri commands available for the SR+ are not worth keeping it.. this if they work Regret buying it:(
Great app!. Very useful app!
Keeps getting better. Developer continues to enhance the app in response to user feedback. Watch app is getting better by the day. Phone app continues to improve!
Very useful - please add front and rear defrost. Great app and useful watch app. In winter turning on climate is good, but the primary need is to defrost front and rear windows. Controls in app for this would be very Useful Keep on improving ! Thanks
Best Tesla App, period!. Been using this app for almost 1 year now. No bugs, no hiccups. If there are any negative reviews, to each their own. Deserves 20 ⭐️
Worth EVERY PENNY!!!!!!. This app is what the Tesla App shoulda have been!! I love how the developer always promptly adds new functionality as it becomes available! (Like Siri shortcuts etc). This app is a must have for every Tesla owner!!
Doesn’t work for heated seats. Gives an error when using Siri Shortcuts via this app to turn on my model 3 heated seats. Literally the reason I bought this app.
Not bad. Not a bad app. It crashes and when you come back too it from a lock screen it has a blank screen some of the time. I do enjoy the bread crumbs it leave for tracking. It gives speed and data. Might be useful if the laser radar is saying something different.
Needs updates - no new features. Needs updates, completely outdated both in UI and features.
Remote S. This app does everything and some that the actual tesla app does. The difference being, that the app actually works on iWatch. The Tesla servers have a lot of information about your car and various travel visits. I would love to see that additional information being incorporated in this app.
How to setup Preheat. Hello i just bought your software. Can you tell me how I can setup pre-heat so that when I am ready to goto work the car is starting to heat up 30mins or an hour before ?
A very good product. Works well , better than the Tesla program
Best app I've purchased. The developer is incredibly fast at responding back to you if you have any questions. Regarding the tesla app itself, tesla should be copying this app. It's all I use now.
Remote S is excellent!. Really compliments the Tesla app, adding more information and control. The Apple Watch app is also quite useful.
Excellent app for any Tesla owner. Works very well. Apple Watch functionality is great. Lots of neat information. Look forward to future updates!
I love the app. Great app but duets recently updated iOS, my summon feature doesn't work from the phone or my watch.
Love it!. Works well. Works with shortcuts! I would like to be able to turn on front and rear defroster thru app or shortcuts.
Ads?????. I paid $14 for this app and I still see ads? The app is really good but I’m still thinking there’s something that can get better on the UI
Great for Shortcuts. One of the more reliable and robust apps for integrating with Shortcuts to create automations and Siri commands. Offers watch functionality. However from a design standpoint it is easily the least usable and cosmetically least appealing Tesla app.
Don’t waste your money. No worth $14 for this app
Rip off. I feel totally ripped off. The app is expensive, eats your battery, and offers nothing over the Tesla app.
Excellent. Superior in almost all ways to the Tesla app and has Watch support.
Good idea... but multiple car?. How about having 2 Tesla? Every time I execute command, it’s always going to the model 3. How do I change this to specific car?
More responsive than Tesla app. This app is faster than the Tesla app and has a number of added features, but what I like best about it is that I can monitor a charge in km and percent at the same time.
Great functionality with Siri, but really needs UX update. I got this app so I could use Siri, Siri shortcuts and automation with my model 3. It’s worked great for most functions, like when my hands are full, I ask Siri to open the trunk, or in a parking lot you can ask Siri to honk the horn to locate the vehicle. I’m sure Tesla will allow Siri shortcuts eventually, but this is great until they do. Only complaint is the UI is horribly designed. Buttons are too small (even on my iPhone SX MAX) and a useless map of your cars location takes up 95% of the screen.
Great app. Love the fast launch times and all the additional info presented that is absent from the official app
Thank you!. Nice job on this, the most complete app for Tesla, thank you!
Poor UX very little new features. This app desperately needs a user experience update as it’s a very cluttered view and I accidentally hit commands all the time. Also it doesn’t add much if any new functionality over the free Tesla app.
A must have.... Quick and very useful..
Great but.... Doesnt work with watch os 2.1
Nice and fast!!. Could easily be better. Can I have a configurable set of big buttons to access the features I use most and hide info and commands that I don’t have interest in?
Essential Model S app. Excellent app. No complaints.
Vert good. Très bon apps Super efficace et rapide
Excellent app, and outstanding support from developer. Provides more functionality than the official Tesla app to monitor and control your Model S or X, including a useful Apple Watch app. The developer is extremely responsive to questions and bug reports. Well worth the price.
Great App. I haven't had it for too long but I am enjoying its ease of use and the many features it has.
Super !!. Super application surtout avec la watch de Apple !!
S remote. Well done!
Fast. Faster than Tesla app and more features
Iwatch doesn’t work well.. The functions do not respond to the car. Not reliable.
Great functionality, poor layout.. I use this all the time. It has more functions then the Tesla app. It could use a refresh, and maybe a clearer layout. But I still love it. You just have to play around by pressing the screen all over to figure out what it can do... then try to remember how you got it to do that. Still 5 stars in my opinion.
Ok. Was able to get the Apple Watch to work - thanks for support from developer.
Who needs keys?. Watch functionality has come in handy on more than one occasion!
Very happy. Great app keeps improving and getting more useful. Many thanks.
Did not work. I used Shortcuts app and Siri to implement start climate control. When tested I get an error from Remote S!
Faster and more responsive. Better version of the native app.
Great app. I am not a big fan of the app’s interface. The real value Is all of the options available for the shortcuts app that it provides.
Excellent. Fast and accurate.
Excellent app. Fast and has additional functions not available on the tesla app
Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!
One more thing: Siri w/o unlocking phone. I bought Remote S so I could use Siri to open my Model 3 frunk, but to do this I first have to unlock my phone. It’d be a major improvement if the app could process Siri commands while our phones are still locked.
Model S. The Remote app works better than my Tesla app. I love it! It is so much quicker loading than the Tesla app also. My son has also taught me how to do shortcuts with it where I can speak to my Apple Watch and give it commands. I give it 10 stars!
Pretty darn good. Definitely worth the money. I love the fact that all controls as re on the main page. My only feedback to double size of the buttons. Offer a hide button to show the entire map if needed. I sometimes have to squint to see which button to press.
Best app for Tesla. I’ve been a Tesla owner since early 2013 and have tried just about every app out there. Remote S is still the best. The developer owns a Tesla and is very receptive to feature suggestions and feedback. Rumor is Tesla tried to hire him to develop their app and he declined.
Seems to be good. Wish Siri could close the windows. Everything seems great. Hopefully soon we can say something to Siri like “close the windows” instead of having to open the app.
Wish they supported dog mode.. I bought this app because I wanted to add a shortcut to enable dog mode via Siri. The description in the App Store mentions camp mode and dog mode however the camp mode setting is hidden deep within the in-app browser and there is absolutely no mention of dog mode throughout the app. THERE IS NO SUPPORT FOR DOG MODE VIA SHORTCUTS/AUTOMATIONS. The other features and automations probably work as expected but I feel like this was a waste of $30 especially when they mentioned dog mode in the App Store. To the devs, would it be possible to add this feature? I feel like this would help many pet owners. The reason just turning on the climate is not enough is because with dog mode the big screen in the car displays the temperature so other people don’t break your windows trying to save your pup.
Very functional and gives options not a available in Official app. Lots of different functions and the developer is super responsive. He emailed me back within 15 minutes to answer a question I had. Frequent updates and lots of customization options.
Worked intermittently. I bought the app only for the Apple Watch function. It worked most but not all the time. Now it is not showing any of my teslas and signing in doesn’t do anything. I don’t know how to reconnect the app to see both of my cars.
Apple Watch app is excellent. I’ve used this app for several years. Siri Shortcuts for Remote are amazing and work well. I have used the Apple Watch up without key fob and phone as stand alone key. The phone app has so many features as well and more developed than the native Tesla app. You still need the Tesla App for scheduling repairs, smart summon, etc.
Great app!. Bought this app to specifically use on Apple Watch with my Model 3...at first couldn’t get any SIRI commands to work, but after reaching out to developer was able to get it working! Not very clear that you need to first set up Siri shortcuts within the app settings. Once I figured this out with developer assistance it worked like a charm!
Good but slow. I’ve had this app for over 4 years. It’s great however the watch side of it is slow and has made the power frunk in my new Y buggy due to its delay. I have wait wait over a minute for the watch to update and display “remote@ before it takes a command. On the other hand, the tesla app is nearly instant. The speed difference has made it so I don’t want to use this app anymore.
Now Functional. It took five months (at least) for the dev to fix some colossal bugs making the app utterly broken and completely worthless. But they did finally fix it. Now that it’s functional, 5/5 stars. Does what it says and what you expect it to. Works on my 6+ and Apple Watch 4.
App not working with Apple Watch. The iPhone app is helpful but on the Apple Watch it does not work most of the time. I just upgraded to a new watch and the app simply does not work. It says I need to open on phone first, which I have done multiple times but app is still unresponsive. Have removed the app from watch and reinstalled and still no go. Very frustrating for an expensive app.
Works well and easy to use. Have used it for a couple of months without a problem. It’s more robust than other apps that I have tried.
You want this if you own a Tesla. Thanks to the developer for making this iPhone and Apple Watch app available. It is easier to use, does more, and is more precise than the official Tesla app, and Tesla doesn’t even support the Watch. I use it all the time, and it works well.
Doesn’t work. I got this to pair with my watch when I don’t have my phone and it doesn’t work. Commands don’t work from my watch and they don’t even work from the app either. I was just trying to vent the windows from the app before I wrote this. It’s also impossible to get ahold of these clowns for help. There’s no refund option either. I reported them to Apple.
Great functionality- poor UI. The app provides excellent functionality but the user interface needs help. Specially, having the map visible in the background is distracting and the icons are too small. I suggest moving the map to a separate screen and use a solid dark background with the controls larger. There is simply too much happening on a single screen and the usability suffers.
Stop Charge and Start Charge Vanished. The start charge and stop charge options on the main info screen disappeared. Also the graphic showing the car being plugged-in is no longer visible when the vehicle is charging.
Great app but could use history info. Glad I found this app, but I wish either this or the Tesla app has vehicle they'll history. My Volvo app gives me a 100 day travel log for Everytime the car moves and shows info like from to, distance, fuel economy, as well as the ability to mark each trip for business or pleasure to later download.
Great, always room to improve. I sometimes find it works faster to open the official Tesla app first, but that’s maybe incorrect cause and effect. Works as advertised and I can’t wait to see if better Apple Watch support is added later. Specifically complications showing range, temperatures, and charging rates would be fantastic.
Updated for ios12. This was not my go to app since the Tesla app is more user friendly. However, with a day 1 update to support Siri shortcuts, this app is now worth the price tag. I can easily turn on the AC with just talking to Siri! I’m glad this app exists so I don’t have to wait a while for Tesla to update the official app.
Does what it Says on the Tin. Great app, worth the price of admission. UI hasn’t been updated in some time, but the app works perfectly and supports all the features your car currently does, and more features then the native app from Tesla.
Doesn’t work at all. I’ve been using this app for a few months now after seeing how beautifully it worked for a friend of mine. I’m sad to report that the app, and most importantly the watch app, seldom work. They take ages to refresh. You can forget about sending the car commands. It doesn’t ever work fast enough to bother using. I’ve even tried using it after first opening up the Tesla app to wake the car up and make sure the car is connected to WiFi. Still, no dice. I’ve tried using this on an iPhone XR and an iPhone 12 Mini as well as an Apple Watch Series 4. Upgrading iPhones made no difference. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Still no dice. I’d like my money back.
Watch functionality makes this app great. The user interface on the app itself is a bit overwhelming. It’s cluttered and not the easiest to navigate. That said, it offers features (like compatibility with the watch) that are you wonderful to use.
Help….. First, it would be nice if there was a simple user guide. I see a comment that the app has 6 screens, but mine only has 4. More importantly, my sole purpose for buying the app was to use it as a key to drive the car without my iphone having to be with me. I can see how to do this from the iphone (which is unnecessary) but not from the watch.
Disappointed. I got this for two reasons. First to unlock the car with my watch when the car is in my garage and I don't have my phone on me. The app takes a couple minutes to update when it's opened and isn't functional during that time so it's faster to go get my phone. The other reason is Siri voice control but that doesn't work most of the time (could be a Siri or an app issue). I wouldn't buy it if I'd known about these limitations.
Stopped working. Have had it for several years but last week it stopped working. Deleting the app and reinstalling didn’t help. After logging in you can’t see any of our two teslas. Then it eventually logs you out. Hope an update come out soon to fix it.
Could be much better. Some nice additional functionality compared to Tesla app. The font size is too small, some of the hot keys are not intuitive. They should probably have more of a menu selection, or several pages, rather than trying to jam it all on one page.
Model 3 still needs keycard to drive. This app would be perfect except that my model 3 still require me to tap my keycard under the center console in order to drive. It unlocks the car but when I put my foot on the brake the model 3 requires the keycard. Not too useful unless someone has found a way around this. I’m using the watch app only because there are many instances where I don’t want to carry my phone or keycard.
Apple Watch app is great. I love that I can start and operate my Model S with just my Apple Watch. Along with all of the other remote options to turn on climate control etc. it als does seem faster than the actual Tesla app
Bust for old Apple Watch. I literally got this so I could be awesome talking to my watch and having the car respond, only to find my watch isn’t supported. “Shortcuts is currently unavailable on Apple Watch Series 2.” Not the app’s fault, maybe I missed some fine print in the app, but wish I had of known what Watch series were supported because this is the only reason I got this app.
Neat little app. Features work very well and the author is receptive if you have issues. Call it cringey but I totally feel like James Bond when I control my car from my watch
A Must-Have Tesla App. I’ve used this app ever since I bought my Tesla. It allows me to do more with my car than the standard app from Tesla. One example is the ability to adjust your charge level by percentage rather than a less precise slider. Also the Apple Watch features are getting better with every update.
I use this iPhone app with my 2018 Tesla X 75D. Seems to work fine… Haven’t tried the Siri commands yet but I’m sure I’ll have the same issues with Siri as I do using it with just the phone... Hence the reason why it took me 10 minutes just to get out this short blurb ;)
Near perfect. I use this app on my Apple Watch S4 to lock/unlock my Model 3 when I go running. Only sucky part is it doesn’t sync great sometimes and I have to force close the app a couple times before it syncs. But hey, another minute just screwing with it is still worth not taking my key/phone with me, but YMMV
Review Comment. Hi, enjoying the app, if you could have the option to manipulate the icons so you could put our most used ones on the home screen, that would be great.
Great addition for Apple Watch!. I just bought an Apple Watch 5 and this app creates a great tool to use with the watch. I love the shortcuts feature and the ability to use my watch instead of my iPhone key. Love it!
Great App/Works Well. No issues with the app. All functions work flawlessly on my 2016 Model X. One of the reasons I purchased this app was for the Apple Watch controls. I have the series 3 with cellular, now I can leave my keys and my phone! If you’re on the fence....buy it...it’s totally worth 10 bucks!
Great when it works!. Updating a previous review. This app is great when it works. The problem is Tesla changing the api all the time and the developer is slow to update this app when that happens. Thankfully that’s few and far between. So when it works it’s a terrific app.
Enjoying the App. I am really enjoying this App. It is very informative and easy to use. There are one or two things that I don’t like I haven’t quite put my finger on yet. This is keeping me from rating a five. Overall the developers did a great job!
Great app, but needs Apple Watch Infographics. App works as intended and the integration with Siri is perfect. The design of the app is also very nice and doesn’t feel like an 6yr old with crayons drew it out. I do wish there was some Apple Watch infographics options available though. Mainly for battery.
Love it!. Great app from a great developer! Faster than the tesla app and takes advantage of every feature tesla allows developers to a access. Frequently updated for new iOS releases and as tesla adds capabilities. Thanks for updating for the iPhone X!
Great app. Works well with Siri.. Awesome to be able to say “hey siri max cool” and get the ac to come on, or to open the frunk. Would love to see the ability to use the watch as the key without the phone. That’s really the only trying that’s missing.
Excellent App. This app has really aged well. I got it when it launched and now 5+ years later, it still performs its intended tasks flawlessly. The Apple Watch app is super useful and the ability to use the app with shortcuts in iOS allows the automation of so much more than I would have ever thought. Thank you so much for a great app!
Watch app does not connect to car. I got this for the Apple Watch app component. But 99 times out of 100 it will not actually connect sufficiently to use any of the controls. I might as well walk back into the house and get my iPhone. Also - I went to their website to see it I could get a solution - but was referred to an ‘expert’ chat site that costs a buck to join in order to ‘chat’. Sorry - I’m deleting the app, changing my password etc. don’t buy it!
Model S. Works great with my 2012 Model S except for the close windows option isn’t available for my year model. Not the apps fault though, just the software my car has.
Great App to enable Siri commands and Apple Watch. I like the app to start climate control, open the frunk, and unlock my Model 3, all using Siri commands. It’s great for Apple Watch, I have a Tesla remote complication on my main watch face. It takes a minute to learn how to navigate the Watch app, but it’s worth it.
