Don't waste your money. It used to be a very user friendly and reliable app to calculate my pool Chems when it was version 1.5. Now that they have updated it to version 2.x it just lags, hangs up and gui is not user friendly. So don't waste your time and money.

App crashes on iPhone 12. Bought the app and it will not open without crashing. I deleted the app and reinstalled it a few times. Turned off and on phone a few times as well. The app will not open without immediately closing. Refund has been requested.

Ridiculously inaccurate suggestions. I have both the iPhone and iPad versions, and with exactly the same settings, ph test results and ph goal, one tells me to add 0.9 oz. of acid, while the other tells me to add 1.4 oz. I can do a better job by tracking changes on a spreadsheet.

No longer Works. The app is not compatible with the latest iOS. It will not open. Off loading and reloading does not help, neither does a full uninstall and reinstall. DO NOT BUY until you can confirm it’s been updated and works as promised.

Sad Trombone. As I recall this app used to be da bomb. But now it doesn’t work well on iPad or iPhone. Same failure scenario, can’t do a test without it crashing, or can set a parameter and then not be able to change it. Using the back button brings you to a blank page and have to force quit if you have any suggestions I’d be happy to try it, but I’ve had to resort to one of those other offerings that are simply not as user friendly (well, crashing is not user friendly but I remember when it used to work. I think it was a web app at the time )

Lifesaver. Moved to the country and built a pool. No one wants to come out and service it because the round trip is too long. This has been an incredible tool. First time pool owner. I have a sparkling blue pool all summer long!! Highly recommend!!!

Chemical tracking. When I bought this app I was hoping to track the daily chem levels, and what was added to water that day. Then I would have the ability to see over time the chemistry levels and added chemical and results Additional fields to track pool temp, air temp , rainfall , etc would add to the value of this app. I’m a homeowner and this is interesting to me but I think that pool service companies might also be interested, particularly if they could create and send a report to their customer on what they did Tracking filter cleaning and change would be an additional nice feature.

Cannot get app to open. This app worked wonderfully for awhile. Now, I cannot get it to open. I click the icon and it goes back to my phone’s home screen. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, turning the phone off and restarting. Nothing has worked. I am disappointed since I paid for this app. It is not the free version.

It make life easier. My pool is 15,000 gallons. All of the tables do not have a column for that size pool. This just allows me to avoid a stupid simple math mistake.

Don’t have the chemicals I use.. Bummer. I really loved this app at first, but now I’m confused and cannot find a way to contact the company to ask for help. Doesn’t feel good to pay for an app and then not be able to get support. When using the calculator, it has certain options in a drop down menu to choose from so you know what amounts to add. But my chemicals aren’t in the list and there’s no help I can see to convert. One example: my ph up is liquid potassium carbonate. But what is on the list for raising ph is washing soda, soda ash, and borax. I google and can’t find any link between what I have and what they’re listing. So I’m stuck. Not cool.

Does no longer work under iOS 14 disappointing!. This app now self closes as soon as i open it. I’m assuming it’s not compatible with iOS 14 so the developer needs to look into it.

Covers All Bases. The App is great. It also me to use alternative chemistry in my pool. I don’t have to buy chemicals from a “pool” store. I mostly shop the grocery store and the local big box stores.

Fair but lots of room for improvement. I am not sure how this app beats a piece of paper. I use an Excel spreadsheet to track my testing results and chemicals to be added to the pool. My objective is to develop charts to show the apparent interaction over time between chemical changes Ph, Cl, ALK etc. This app doesn’t appear to keep any records to compare one week vs the next. So I ask, why not us s piece of paper. This is junk.

Doesn’t work. Paid $5 for something that doesn’t work. I change the gallons in setting but the amount of chems stays the same no matter what you do. Need to fix this ASAP

Data entry. After entering data for FC I select done; it reveal a ; it takes me to the main data screen then show no data has been entered. Unless you enter 1-5 it doesn’t save the information you entered it instead shows invalid number entered error. I wish my free Chlorine was between 1 to 5 ppm but it’s not.

Great app - Recently updated for iPhone X and newer. So I gave it two stars last review I did of it. But it has since been updated. Works great. Glad to be able to support the same people that have the great web based calculator.

Keeps crashing. I’ve been using this app for awhile and have found it to be great, but now it keeps crashing. I’ve tried reinstalling it, restarting my phone, but nothing works. ☹️

Update Bleach Percentage. The only gripe I have is that it doesn’t have the new 7.5% Clorox Disinfecting Bleach as an option in the “Effects” tab. If this gets updated it’s an easy 5 Star App.

Handy. I find this app handy as it does the math for me. However, the effects tab shows soda ash as lowering pH when it should state it raises pH. I also wish it would state how to reduce TA separate from pH for when someone has normal pH and super high TA. Instead it just says to lower pH to 7.0-7.2, which is not enough.

Finally crystal clear water!!. Love this app! This app coupled with the HTH 6-way test kit (liquid set - not the paper strips which expire) tells me exactly how much of what chemical to add to get my pool balanced. I struggled for months with info from the Internet until I found the pool calculator website and downloaded the app. Just plug in the results from the test kit and follow the advice from the app. Works perfectly for us. This is the best $5 I have spent all year! Thank you for helping me make our pool beautiful to swim in!

Update Broke the Calculator. After the recent update, it seems impossible to update the volume calculation. The keyboard hides any of the other tabs at the bottom and there’s no way to dismiss the keyboard.

DO NOT BUY!. Waste of money. Company is in Nigeria. Wonder how much experience they have with pools - and with pools in our latitude. Paid $5 for this app. - It does not allow addition of a second pool or spa even though the one added is called “first pool.” If you have two units, the size must be reentered for each one if a different one is tested next. - And there is no tracking of history. Each test is entered separately with treatment suggestions given for that one instance. No way to know what I did last week or last month. -Have two stars because it does calculate pool size and gives suggestions based on the chemicals you buy (assuming “washing soda” is the same as sodium bicarbonate or baking soda).

Soda Ash. Very useful app for estimating amounts of additive chemicals to use while balancing your pool. HOWEVER, in estimating amounts of Soda Ash to add it is completely wrong. It says that Soda Ash will decrease pH and decrease total alkalinity when the exact opposite is true. Be careful

For the price should be much better. Ever since this app came out it doesn’t have 7.5% bleach listed in the menu. It just so happens that WalMart brand bleach is 7.5%. Probably the MOST COMMON bleach their users are purchasing. And that bleach comes in 81 oz bottles. Not there. So my calculations are always off because they don’t let the user enter the exact parameters their bleach uses Little annoyances like that make it not worth the money. Just barely more convenient than a clipboard with paper.

App suggestion. App is great but I have a suggestion. Can you put a page in that allows us to change our tested amounts all at once without having to back in and out of each item? When I’m testing I do all my tests and then go back to read results so it’s a pain to have to constantly switch pages Otherwise the app is great!

Accuracy Cocern. I love this tool, but recently went to do the effects of soda ash (washing ash) as I needed to bring my pH up. Everything you read online soda ash (sodium carbonate) raises pH. The ratio is for every 6oz of soda ash in 10,000gals of water pH should increase by 0.2. When I popped 9oz into the calculator it told me both my pH and TA would lower. This is the first time the calculator didn’t make sense. Unfortunately now I’m questioning and double checking every effect it provides. Hope they can address this.

Not worth the money. This app only provides the amount of chemical you need. There are many free apps that provide this information by just taking a picture of your test strip instead of entering everything in. They also keep track of your test history. This app doesn’t do any of those things. It’s a waste of money!!

The App works as advertised. My mistake. The app is fine.

The app used to be a 5 star app. Since the recent updates the app has become harder to use, and they have taken away from the app the most important reading for pool pros - the “Borate” testing option is no longer available on the app.. but is on the website? Does not make sense. There is also no contact form on the website, and app support takes you to the same website where there is no contact option. New look is not appealing or helpful in any way. Revert the app back to the way it was.

Water temperature missing. Are use this for a few years now, and I’d give it five stars however, this new version has deleted water temperature setting which affects balancing of chemicals.

Can’t save tests. One enhancement would be the ability to save test so I can more easily track and adjust my chemicals. Also would be nice to be able to add additional “pools”, so I can also track my spa tests.

4 level test. It will help if the ap could be switched to 4 levels test such ph, fc, ta and stabilizer only to see the suggestions without taking on account the other parameters Or suggest what number to add to the parameters not used. Also a small glossary for parameters Overall seems to be ok

Need to fix Soda Ash effect info. (Otherwise good app). Soda Ash Effect says it “lowers pH and TA” but it actually raises. I’ve been using the online app for a while and decided to buy the app for ease of use. I’m happy with it, and like the “effects” function for more details, but the soda ash effect is wrong. It makes me question the accuracy of the rest of the chemicals and calculators. I cannot find a feedback or contact function on the app or online, so I figured leaving a review might make it back to the developer. All of the effects should be double checked. Other than those two issues, I’m very happy with the ease of use and clarity of info.

App is OK, free website does same thing. After using the free website for a year I decided to buy the app. Wish I had stuck with the free website. The app does not offer much that the website already did. I would love to see the app add a summary of recommended changes after putting in your test numbers. That way you could see everything that is needed all in one place.

Paid for app that won’t open. Had to pay to download this, which I normally don’t mind. However, having paid for it, it won’t open. I see it hasn’t been updated in quite a while; maybe iOS 14 breaks it.

Best Available but Desperately Meeds Multi Pool Support!. I love this app and use it daily but it needs two things to be perfect: 1: multi spa and/or pool support. I have a pool and hot tub and in order to change between the two I have to re-enter the volume settings each time 2: there’s a strange bug to where if you enter an invalid character in the amount box you get an “NaN” error and you have to restart Besides these two gripes I highly recommend this app to any pool or hot tub owner!

Very short of features. Very disappointed with the lack of features. You cant delete chemicals that arent important to you, you have to navigate around them. You can inly monitor ONE pool and there isnt even a section for total chlorine, only free chlorine. Also, no way to contact support

App seems to be a scam?. They have an online calculator but I want to have something on my phone and was happy to support them. I was excited about having two bodies of water and report history. I was less excited about not being able to hide tests I didn’t care about. The version history and Developor review responses seem to indicate a major upgrade happened to 3.0 last year, but the app that I downloaded has none of the feature it described. It doesn’t have two bodies of water, there is no report history, or even a version number. Obviously I missing something very big but I can’t see how.

Website is better. Want a refund.. I paid for this app and they haven’t kept it up to date. It won’t open now. The website is more functional and faster. I’d take a refund since I never use this and wanted to support the company but that was a mistake. They made money on a pretty junky app. Again the website is awesome. The app is junky and clunky. Pass on the app.

Not consistent with browser version. Not consistent with browser version. This app doesn’t have the ability to save readings. Wasted 5.00. You can pay 9.99 a year for this ability on web version which is a lot. Web version links to app. Assumed they would have same functionality and this was a one time purchase. Save your money.

Good app but could be better. I like the app and use it everyday. It really helps keep track of my chems. The only thing I can think of to make it better would be a box to add notes for the test. E.g. I like to check my total chlorine and my phosphates. There are no fields for those. I'm sure if you put every test possible the app would not be reasonable to use but if there was a field to add a quick note, that would make it easier to keep track of other values. But it's a great app!👍

Annoying. I paid $5 for this app. For that it asks me every time I open the app if I like the app and then asks me to rate it even though I gave it a 4 star rating. It even asks in the middle of using the app to rate it. If you can’t even check if we have already rated the app stop asking the question. That is why I gave the app a 1 star rating.

Temp should be part of test section. Pool temps fluctuate and have an impact on test results so it should be easily entered in the results section. Going to the settings section to update temp is not friendly. The settings section should all you to choose what items appear in the test section so non SWG pools can remove unnecessary items. Decent calc but could be much better.

Good, but not great. I like the fact that you can calculate your pool volume, add each test result, and it tells you what you need to add. But it’s a bit awkward that you have to go into each test line to see how much of a particular chemical to add to balance *that* individual level. It would be nice if you could input all of your test results, and it would tell you *all in one place* how much of each chemical to add to balance every level in your pool.

Latest upgrade broke everything. I e used this app for a few years now and it was great at calculating chemical additions to keep everything in balance. I never used an online account and have no need to track multiple pools- I’m a homeowner not a pool maintenance company. Today after the latest upgrade my pool is gone and my chemistry is gone and it will not let me re-enter my pool volume without creating an online account.

Can’t link to my account. I thought this would be a good addition to my online account, maybe more usable than going to the website. But his doesn’t even give me a place to login. This may be good for someone who just wants a calculator, but I want the test results added to my history so that I can watch for trends. This was a waste of money for me. Edit: now the app crashes with the latest iOS version. This should be removed from the App Store.

Amazing App!. Makes balance in pool chemistry look easy

Crashed every single time. After buying it I was unable to open it due to immediate crashing. I was unable to open it not even a single time. Unable to get technical support due to early crashing

Not great. This app isn’t great. It’s nice to have an app to help calculate things for pool management. But it’s buggy. It sticks when you try to scroll screen. Meh. It works about one step better than my paper charts.

Quick calculations. Had the older app and loved it but this one is amazing. We have a service company and I have it on all of the iPads that the guys use. If they had a Spanish option that really would take it to 20 stars. The drop down lists of chemicals is also very useful. Big thumbs up.

This is a good app. With the flood in Qld Australia, and a shortage of salt I have had to get a bit more involved in managing the pool - this app is really good - it explains each parameter and calculates the doses of chemical. I like it. One suggestion - could yopu add a section on the order in which to add different chemicals and which parameters to attempt to correct in what order = as there is a fair bit of interaction eg ph and alkalinity, calcium and type of chlorine, ph and chlorine - but overall I really like it. Well done. Another suggestion is to have a log system to record dipstix results that then create a chemical action plan - that would be really cool. Overall thanks a lot.

Works Well and now saves settings. The app did the job for me. Pool type volume etc are saved and loaded each time I restart the app. Would be good to be able to enable/display and disable/hide the chemical settings that are not of interest. Also name them at full name rather than the abbreviation I.e Total Alkalinity rather than TA. It works well and now saves the settings from one session to the next even across devices if you create an account. Thanks for a very useful app.

Does not save settings - very frustrating. Every time you use this app you have to re-enter every detail of your pools required levels. This is extremely frustrating. If it saved your settings it would be a 5 star app but this really lets it down. Besides this all the other features are great. Mat.

IPhone bug or App bug?. The app continuously force quits itself as soon as I tap to get into the app. I have an IPhone 11 but even with restarting my phone and uninstalling and reinstalling the app it continues to force quit itself. Was so looking forward to using the app because I love the youtube channel but I’m disappointed that I can’t actually even use the app.

Doesn’t work on my iPhone 10, downloads but won’t open! Not good for a paid app.. I’ve downloaded the app paid for it, but it won’t open. As soon as I click on the app icon it goes back to my home screen. How do I get my refund.

Save settings please!!!. Good app, could be great if you could save your settings. Turns a 2 min job to a 15 min. Perfect chemical dosing and instructions otherwise. Please update.

Setting not saved on close. Conceptually a great app, but a recent update has rendered it useless. On ios4 devices, the users setup details are lost and need to be input again each time. Easier to just use the free web based version. This bug has been reported by many users on popular pool websites for 7 months, but no acknowledgment has been forthcoming from the developer. Save your money!!

Difficult to use. It is a great concept but I find it is very hard to use and despite placing settings at metric I would get answers (when it would work) in imperial measurements. Paid good money for an app I can’t even use. Don’t waste your money on this app if you want something easy to use that works consistently

Pretty basic but barely usable. Doesn't remember your values (e.g. pool size) between app launches. Clumsy interface. Not really an improvement on the website version and way overpriced at $4.99!

Great App. Highly recommended. New Version Buggy. Use the app almost everyday for the maintenance of my hot tub. Latest version has introduced some bugs. Effects does not work and test not blocks goals above a certain range (like FC over 12) Please fix.

Great app. A great app for managing hot tub water using off the shelf products. It would be nice to add total bromine in addition to FC.

Doesn’t work. Enter required info, FC is at zero in pool and apps provides no suggestion and doesn’t allow input for what type of chlorine being utilized

pH. I just asked what adding soda ash would do. And it said it LOWERS pH. Which is the exact opposite of what it does. So this app stinks .

Crashes on start up with iOS 14. Also be warned it does not allow you to save the tests over time, so no way to see any trends via the app.

It stopped working with recent update.. I’ve been using this calculator for a couple years to quickly determine how much chemicals to add to my hot tub. Since the recent update it’s just a blank screen that says “pool ready”. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess I’ll go find another app.

Update is not good. All my old data got erased and the new app update simply does not work. I’m super disappointed.

TA & PH IS WRONG !!! DO NOT ISE THIS APP!!. I followed the instructions to lower TA and PH by adding washing soda but it raised my TA BY over 50 points!! DumbA$$ App!!! Now I have to drain the 20,000 gal of water!! DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!

Only does a single pool. Was led to believe I could track my pool and spa on same app. Based on 3.0 revision comments. Developer has no email support. Would not buy again.

Bromine. I did not research this app enough before I paid for it. We have an indoor heated pool and we use Bromine to sanitize. I won’t be able to use the app
