Issue with the fields on the application. the fields don’t work after scan my passport. for examples, i can’t select the country issuing field as a dropdown, the menu doesn’t work

It doesn’t work the camera. Can’t scan passport because it don’t open the camera to do it. There is no option to grant access to the camera. Useless app.

Drop down doesn’t work. Someone had mentioned in August that the drop down doesn’t work. I confirm that. Why haven’t you guys fixed it yet?

Doesn’t capture the picture. Scans the data, but the NFC is unable to capture the passport picture “unexpected error, please go to esta website” What a failure

Drop downs. Many fields are required to fill in before proceeding, but either the field is pre-populated with the information from the picture and the app doesn’t register that the field is already populated or there is no keyboard and only a drop down menu with limited choices. For example, the app requires you to input your nationality, but only 10-15 countries pop up. I cannot choose the correct country because it is not on the drop down menu therefore I cannot proceed with the application process.

Dropdown menus. App needs fixed. There are required fields with drop down menus that don’t open and can’t move forward. Please fix. I think it’s step 3 when putting in our nationaltyq.

Frustrated. I tried several times to scan the passport after I did the initial scan of the front page and it wouldn’t work

Doesn’t work. Drop downs don’t work but it won’t let me proceed without them. Save & exit also doesn’t work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still had issues.

Dump the App. It’s slow, too much scrolling, you’re faster doing it online

Doesn’t work for babies. Don’t bother using this if you’re trying to apply for an esta for your baby, it’ll never accept any of the pictures

Doesn’t work. It doesn’t give me the option to choose my country of origin (United States) but says I can’t proceed until I pick a country. So I’m stuck and can’t progress.

So many Questions.. A lot of work, just to get a connecting flight. Needs to be more mobile user friendly.

Fields missing. Missing information but won’t let me fill in. Nothing populates after face scanning.

RFID from Passport is Awesome. Super easy, safe and reads passport RFID using NFC reader from iPhone 11 is awesome!!

Glitching and won’t let me save. It was fletching not letting me add the issuing country and wouldn’t let me save. When I went to do it online, USA was not even an option for issuing country.

Really great. Good app for ESTA. Easy to use and quickly able to fill out the form.

Bug report. Submission from the US is blocked during the information confirmation screen. After the passport MRZ, liveness, and tap, the information is confirmed before sending. The country of issue is not a selectable drop down and isn’t pre populated. Since it’s a mandatory field, saving or submitting is blocked.

iPhone complications. It’s complicated on my iPhone

Doesn’t work!. Two fields on the second screen are required but no selection can be made. Issuing Country and Country of Citizenship cannot be selected.

Love the app. Think iets very clear and it makes me happy to get my esta in order

can’t even do basic functionality. drop downs don’t work to fill out the forms. the camera scan took MANY attempts. never was able to complete the process and i tried 3 times.

Pretty Redundant. It doesn’t do anything that web page doesn’t. I was hoping it would at least allow people to add their ESTA to their wallet so they didn’t have to print it to show at customs.

Too tough on app with kids. This is far too complicated now. My daughter is a British citizen and shouldn’t have to go through this in transit to the Uk with a direct return flight.

Kind of ok.. App works ok. Trouble with scanning chip in passport . Had to try over and over. Trouble changing the O that the scan read into a small o that is actually on the passport. Not sure if this difference will bring problems at the border check…

Cannot fill in information or save page. My apple phone is up to date and I can scan the passport but it doesn’t fill in all the information and it won’t let me fill it in either! I cannot save the page. Totally worthless!

App doesn’t work. I have tried multiple times to use this app and I cannot move beyond step two because the dropdown menu for issuing country doesn’t work on that screen, at least not on my phone.

Only English. There is no apparent way to change the language from English from where the app opens up. How do you expect people to use it? There is a lot of advanced English here, even somebody with some proficiency is not going to be able to use the app. But as a taxpayer, I’ve come to expect nothing more than mediocrity from our government.

Similar issue!. I can’t access the drop down menu nor can I type in the empty field requesting country! It is already clear on my passport so I am frustrated. Now I am told only non US citizens are required to complete. So why did I receive a text???

Too Many Bugs. Will not allow me to select country of origin or other fields, does not populate nations. Can’t move forward at all.

Omg terrible. Don’t read the exacts information from your passport and the procedure it’s confusing and terrible. I made it online in 10 minutes. So don’t waist your time with this app please

Straight forward. Easy to do and very clear instructions

Simplicity at last!. Great working and easy to use app much better than the site!

Scan face. Very hard to scan a 1 year olds face when they don’t sit still. Then when u think I have finally got it the app says you need to do it again. Fix this asap it’s very annoying haven’t been able to get a visa because the face doesn’t scan on my child. And calling the help line is useless

?. The app works but the instructions are lacking (eg use of passport scanner and face scanner functions) and autofill is deactivated so it is a cumbersome app to negotiate and pay on. But as I said it does work!

Miss. Worst app ever! The app doesn’t work on baby as they need to scan your face in a selfie mode. I have a 4 months old and it kept asking us to scan her face but how do you expect baby to sit still and look straight at the camera!!! Unbelievable!

Feedback about selfie. Overall quality is very good and quite easy to use except for the selfie video because it is hard to follow instructions when you have to remove your reading glasses.

Terrible. This is a terrible app and I can’t imagine trying to use it if I was a bit older. This sort of technology has enormous accessibility issues.

Easy. Wasn’t able to upload passport image on to the Gov. website on laptop , but this phone App scan made it easy

Review App. E-mail addresses were only able to be typed in capitals. Some addresses are case-sensitive. The explanation for how to scan the chip in the passport wasn’t clear at all. The app did not say what it wanted the phone to do or achieve (l thought it was trying to see the name of the country). It also didn’t explain to hold the phone still as soon as a connection was made. Took me MANY tries to realise l should google what was going wrong; only then did l realise what was trying to be achieved and how to do it. The credit card details asked for the country first, then the state, rather than the other way around.

From Mr dale Turner. In the parents must be filled in denoted by the red star, both my parents have passed away. However I have placed their names in to move forward. I haven’t booked my accommodation as yet until I get the visa approval to travel. Cheers

Crashes often. App crashes often, especially when you need to jump to email or another app to get information required to fill out the actual form - ie can't be avoided

Scan fails. By the time you get to scan front cover the scan fails continuously, then sends you around the web to start a new application, doesn’t recognise you’ve already started, no link to find if your scan fails. Time waster.

The ESTA PROCESS. It’s a very long process maybe because my previous passport needed replacement because of a hack incident

Quite Easy to Apply. It was step by step and easier to do on the app!

Faulty features. Scanning the front of my passport was very complicated and took several attempts before the chip could be read. It was on probably the 50th attempt that it finally went through. This system doesn’t recognise addresses and phone numbers. Very frustrating to complete.

Reusing or updating app. Wish it can store the applicant number data and don’t need to fill up the passport number and applicant number all the time .. Also I was applying for group , I was wondering why it wasn’t asking for other individuals who are part of the group .. Thanks , but all in all it was good to have the app Also with scanning , if it can be more specific where to put the phone .. I realised it wanted to identify the chip .. if took awhile before I realised that But the technology is awesome !

Simple easy and straight forward. This app for when completing the ESTA agreement was simple and straight forward. I have completed several ESTA application over the past few decades with out issue and with the app this is simple and easy to follow but does take some time to complete.

Easy to use forms. The app made applying for a visa to the US very easy. The questions are clear and straightforward. The whole process took about twenty five minutes.

User friendly. Very easy to complete and navigate.

So easy. The phone was so easy. Just have all the information needed at hand before starting

Payment. After all the informations was put in, it just say that my application is on unpaid status but won’t take me to a payment page. So I don’t know how to go to a pay page. Pls let me know how i can pay.

Funding the correct website. Is hard but in the correct site it’s super easy

iPhone mini 12. App does not scale correctly for the phone. This made a very difficult experience for submitting information. Also had wait 2 days to submit payment information as app crashed while entering.

Repetitive. Wanted the same information imputed multiple times, allow 15-20 minutes to complete, desktop would be easier.

Finished it at last. So much data to enter! Getting the photo capture to work took such a long time, but finally I got the clear image required. The site is well designed, intuitive and easy enough to use. I liked the red asterisk indicating essential fields

Great app. Really easy to use!

Terrible. Server was down for a week and the app couldn’t connect, then when it was back up I am unable to upload anything to it as it just freezes.

Terrible for children’s applications. Trying to get a child to sit still for the video capture is an absolute nightmare! That function needs to be removed if applying for a child!

Payment failed, please help resolve this issue. I need the ESTA urgently.. I’ve been trying to solve this issue for the past couple of days, when i try paying with credit card it says payment failed even tho there is $300 dollars inside the card. I’ve tried switching from purchasing the ESTA fees on App Store instead of the website and the issue still hasn’t been resolved. Please help me fix this issue. I need to visit my grandma that has been diagnosed with cancer in the US, I haven’t seen her in 4 years due to being busy with work. I need to go see her ASAP. Can someone please help me fix this issue. It’s getting on my nerves and I’m worried because my grandma could die any minute now. Thank you for your help.

Wry easy to use app. Easy to use app and can get ESTA done within 15 to 20 mins. Hopefully easy now when I get to the US immigration.

Rubbish App, not for kids, STAY AWAY!!. Very poorly designed App. No notifications to direct to alternative way such as webpage for young kids as fail thousands of times trying the selfie. They try to add a lot of fancy functions / techs to it, but cannot even do a basic humanized notification. Time wasting. Stay away.

ESTA for a Baby. We are travelling as a family and trying to apply for a visa for a 5 month old baby. The 3D face scan section is proven to be most difficult and impossible for me to get my baby to keep his head straight and look at the camera. You should allow some flexibility for baby photos

Great App. Love the app, so much better than using the website. Great to see forward thinking initiative from a government department and I hope other countries follow.

Could be better. No Apple Pay, not easy to resume applications, app crashes when entering payment.

It’s ok if you have all details with you…. Surely after finding your ESTA you should be able to save it within the app so you don’t need to keep submitting all relevant details to find it. Seems pointless?

Just a wrapper of the website. What’s the point? Should at least be able save your ESTA so you don’t have to log in each time

I can’t enter my country and citizenship. After scanning my passport and all, at the section for my citizenship I can’t enter anything and can’t continue.

I wish it would tell me I didn’t need an esta. I live in a country that doesn’t need an esta. I did not know this. Got stuck when it wouldn’t allow me to pick a country of citizenship. The first thing should be to ask for country of origin.

App doesn’t work. After scanning my passport, the app disabled the drop down menu to select my citizenship, preventing me from continuing.
