Subscription service. I’ve been waiting for this game/one like it for a while. Looks amazing, great mechanic, was fun to play but....subscription service!!?? Especially one like playond that has forced people that have already purchased games to then go back and buy a subscription to play what they already purchased? That’s predatory and lame. I would have happily payed full price for a polished fun game like this but not as a subscription...

Really great with time flaws. The game has a very flexible concept that can be applied to many levels and challenges. It can get very frustrating however, that to get good time on a level you must practically ignore the fairy and only be able to get some treasures. If you are aiming for the loot, it is extremely hard to get good time. There needs to be a happy medium which there isn’t.

Great game some problems. Ok so I love this game , it’s fun and kind of addictive but I can’t deal with the 10 minutes of game time each day. AND DON’T TELL ME TO GET THE SUBSCRIPTION... Just please make this game free it would be so much better if you did , you have a bunch of other games that already do this so please... make this free

Good game for those who like a challenge. Super fun game to play. It’s difficult throughout the levels but definitely doable. I’ve played through to the first boss. The boss was extra hard. If you like a challenge this is a good game for you. No ads or needs to play to get rewards, just hop on and play whenever you like.

Boo. The game is really cool everything is cool but the part I don’t like is that it’s a battery you can only play for a certain amount of time and if you want to play a lot you have to buy it that’s what is wack

Must-Buy Platformer. What a great game! The mechanics are smooth and predictable. Level design is great. The only complaint I can levy is that the last level of the game won’t log your 3-stars (clear time) in the level overview. (I have a screen recording if needed devs)

Pay to play. This is a darling game with excellent controls. The art style is charming, but it’s a shame it’s been bought up by a knock off to the Apple Arcade system. I don’t want to pay a monthly fee for this, I want to support the developer directly and just buy this one game.

Won’t let me play. From what I’ve gathered on the first two levels it might be a fun game, but it won’t let me get past the “pay 2 dollars a week to continue!!” Screen. Like even if I exit out of the app and go back in it will just bring me to that page. 0/10 would not recommend :/

Can’t catch a fairy & can’t restart level easily. I caught a fairy in the first level, now every time I touch one, or get close to one, or make noise below one it poofs away. Also have to hit the restart button on a level like 3-4 times before it will actually restart from the beginning. Otherwise an amazing, and pretty well thought out, game!

Great retro-style platformer. Great game if you enjoy plat-former style game. Levels have nice skill progression with levels that are hard but not annoyingly difficult that make you want to quit. Excited for more of these style games from this creator. One suggestion might be to have a way to navigate to the level selection screen from the pause menu. Often I found myself wanting to play a different level but had to navigate all the way back to the start menu to do so. Also might be nice to have a mini-maps of the level you can view before you play.

Great game with one suggestion. Daggerhood is a great game, with unique mechanics and play styles. I am one of the people who does not pay for the subscription and I use my free 10 minutes almost every day. The issue is that when i first got it I played it at around 4:00 pm. Now when I try to play it in the morning the 24 hours is still running. I suggest using a 12 or 16 hour timer instead so people can play whatever time they want.

Won’t Let me Restore my Purchases. Ok, so I bought this game when it came out in the summer and played through most of it. I deleted it after a couple weeks, and hadn’t come back to it until now. I downloaded it, clicked “restore purchases”, but it did absolutely nothing and just said that it couldn’t find any previous purchases. Sure, it’s nice to have a “restore purchases” button, but there’s no point in having it if it doesn’t work in the first place. Please fix this.

It would be five stars but I don’t know. I’m trying to play this game and I’ve deleted about three times trying to reset the game and I just deleted it I’ll give you five stars just to support it because the ad but if I were to play I would give it five stars and please developer I respect you but you need to allow me to play I have an iPod touch a 10 G7 if that information helps let me know

Used to be a good game. This used to be a very good game but now that this team up has occurred ads pop up all the time and it completely ruined the experience. Honestly, usually this wouldn’t be that bad but since it used to not have ads and now it does it just feels so wrong, like something has been taken from me

Great Throwback. An excellent old school style game. The music throws it over the top. It took some time but I finished the whole game and it’s great all the way through. The difficulty of levels increased evenly with my increased skill as I played. It has great challenges that took many attempts in some cases to beat. Levels are tough but not annoying as with each try you get better. Only improvement for a future game would be a bit more storyline in the middle of the game.

it’s amazing!!!. i love this game and including the fact you can play it on controller. i feel like the double jump and finding all the collectibles are a real nice touch. although some times levels get super repetitive. and it would be nice if you were to get a reward or something like that when you finish finding all collectives. on that note this game is really worth the download.

Amazing game with a few problems. Daggerhood is a great game with amazing graphics and game mechanics. I never thought there could be a game like this on mobile so I doubted it when I first installed it then I got onto the first level after opening the menu. There was this gap and I didn’t know how to pass it and I spammed b and of course the sword came out and I fell into the gap and died. Then I realized that when your dagger is out and you press b you teleport to the dagger. Which is great game design allowing the player to figure it out without telling you. Although the whole pay to play system is pretty garbage if this was a steam game I would pay 5 dollars for it but a mobile game is just not worth it. Even still it is a great game with amazing animation, graphics, gameplay, and game feel. Good job on the game I will be looking forward to getting to play more levels!

Amazing!. Extremely addictive and entertaining. Kudos to the team for making such a great game. Love the mechanics and graphics. Too bad there are only five stars to rate it. Eagerly waiting for a sequel!

Why do I have to pay to play?. The 2 levels I played were fun, but then was told to play anymore, I would have to either A:play 1 a dollar a month to play, or B: wait till tomorrow. I shouldn’t need to pay every month for a mobile game. If the app was 1 dollar, it’d be more logical than a monthly subscription.

Eh. The game is pretty fun just wish some of the ui worked better. Buttons don’t seem to like to register. There’s delays in them a lot of the time when they do. Also the difficulty on some of the beginner modes to get 3 stars and everything is ridiculous. Wouldn’t really suggest spending money on this 😕

Love this game. First game ive been able to play for weeks straight and not get bored of. Feels amazing progressing to the end of each area. Some of the hit boxes give me aneurisms but they make the feeling of beating a level that much better when you finally do.

Pay to win? More like pay to play.... This game looks and feels like a high-end mobile plat-former. But now that I’ve experienced the game, I realize how much of a money-grabbing company this is. The fact that I have to pay a monthly fee for a “free game” just outright disgusts me. Instead or making the game a monthly fee, you could’ve charged people to purchase the app instead of going “Yeah, the game is free, but you still have to pay...but hey, cool game right?” Fix your marketing decisions and maybe you’ll be put a 5 and I’ll change my review.

Great gameplay, no Quality of Life considerations. The game is great. The gameplay mechanics are unique and fun, the graphics and soundtrack equally great. My biggest complaints come from the lack of quality of life implementations in the game. For example, if you are someone who likes to 100% every level (especially in games like this where it doesn’t take too long) but forgot what task you need to complete in that level, not only can you not see that from the pause menu in the level, you also have no choice to go to the stage select screen where it shows the level completion status. Instead, you will need to go back to the main page load up again and then check the stage select screen. Rinse wash repeat for every level. Obviously a screenshot of the level select is an easy work around, but still. Additionally, the only way to go to the “next” level is from the “Next Stage” button that appears from the previous level’s completion screen. What I mean is that if you complete Level 1 of a stage, and instead of hitting “next stage” from level 1’s “completion screen” you choose to close the app or go to the main menu to change some settings, and then go back to the level select screen, level 2 will still be locked, and you’ll have to replay level 1 and then hit “next stage” to actually be able to play level 2.

It’s a really good game. Only promblem is that people like me who don’t want to spend money on mobile games have to use the ten minutes a day timer. Recently that has been broken and won’t reload my ten minutes. It’s been a couple of weeks with this and I’m not sure what to do. I’ve already reinstalled the app in desperate measures.

Great game just.... I love playing this game I have a lot of fun with it I just have one complaint and it’s that some of the levels are a bit unfair I mean that how am I supposed to know I was gonna teleport there while falling and not getting a chance to wall jump it’s fine if this was in a few level but it’s in a lot of them besides that amazing game

Awesome game!. This game is the perfect amount of challenging without being frustrating and I had a great time and put hours into this game whenever I could.

Why the limit. When I first started playing it told me I only had 10 minutes to play. Unless you just wanna make people mad and get a quick buck then there is no reason for this >:(. But now I’m honestly noticing I’m wasting my time writing this. ._. Stupid game developers trying to make people pay for stupid things

Incredible game. My favorite iPad game yet. It seems like after beating all levels with all stars, fairies and treasures obtained, you unlock a health bar giving you three lives. There are many different ways to maneuver around each level, giving you a lot of freedom and choices while playing. I hope to see more games like this in the future. An option to increase the size of your movement buttons would be nice.

You Have to Pay to Play. I was completely unaware that you had to pay to join a subscription service in order to play this game, otherwise I wouldn’t have even downloaded it in the first place. It’s an amazing game, just a shame that instead of letting someone play the whole thing with ads, and offering the services as a way to get rid of ads, they block the whole game altogether unless you pay, which explains why barely anyone is buying this app. Overall beautiful game with great mechanics, just bad business practices from the company..

I love this game!. This game was really fun to play. Really challenging. To me it feels like a combination of mega man, super mario bros, zelda. It took me back to re-living my childhood (Nintendo) games. Thank you so much for making this awesome game :)

Daggerhood. Honestly a fun game. Thank you for removing playond... I think that that was the only thing holding it back from being a great game. Fun overall I just hate the glitch that you can get where u jump on the edge of a block and the game thinks you’re in mid-air. This is my only complaint. Otherwise, great game.

Make it free for all levels. I’m rating 3 because I literally HAVE TO PAY to continue it’s not like were all grown ups ok I’m 10 and I don’t have money so i hope u can fix this or else probably no one will want to play it plz it’s urgent!

Money. Why not just make a version of the game with adds and a non add version for the people who pay also of the games gonna cost money then don’t get us exited by making the download free and if you do this cause you wanna make a demo make a separate app for the demo that only gives first level

5 stars. The game is super fun and has intuitive gameplay, but the whole playond subscription wall thing is frustrating. I’m just gonna keep playing it for free and utilizing that healthy 10 minute time limit

Super Cool And Different!. Dagger hood is an awesome game. The game is made even cooler because you can teleport to wherever your dagger is, which adds a whole other aspect to the game. Also, there are really cool levels, and epic enemies and lots of fun stuff. Totally worth the 3 bucks. I could play this game forever! Thanks!

SUBSCRIPTION. I knew this game was too good to be true you have to pay a dumb subscription Incase you want to get any new games, but what if you don’t and just want to play Daggerhood, right after you finish the first level you have to pay monthly or get a 7 day free trial the game would have been better if you didn’t have to pay a monthly subscription for other games I just wanted to play Daggerhood

Need a little bit of improvement.. 1. The buttons placement is horrible “playing on iPad” it was painful to play for 3 minutes, a settings to adjust them would be great. 2. Does the airborne jump have a time limit? A lot of times the character just fall ignoring me smashing the jump button. 3. The wall jump get confusing very often, if the character is on a ledge of a wall and you try jumping while holding a direction it’ll just go into a loop of going back and forth from the wall.

Favorite game of 2020. I love platform games. This one is my favorite because of the teleporting function. I love the different challenging levels. Must download👌🏻

Cost and play. It a good game with the first level, but after the first cause you to sign up and try out your other games. I just only want THAT game than any other because I want to try and feels what it like. From the subscription, it won't allow me to keep on playing... After the first level - register, subscription, and allowing you to play. I HATE IT so can you plz tell me why?

This game is awesome. It’s A good game but not good enough do a update on it for like eight update where there’s a girl with a born arrow has blue hair same clothes as the boy or the girl clothes do that update and put up a thing and you get to choose if you’re a girl or a boy that will make more people come but please don’t hobby other games

Please make it free. I’m ten and I don’t have money to pay 9.99 a month and I love this game but I have to wait so long for just like 15 minutes. And it looks like a lot of people have the same problem

Great game, no cloud save. Fantastic game, unfortunately there is no option for cloud saves. I bought a new phone and can’t move my old file. Would be happy to up to five stars but this seems like an easy fix. Thank you for what is otherwise a fantastic game. I hope you implement cloud saves. Thanks

Decent platform with. After having played through the game and gathering all the collectibles, it seems like a decent game overall. There were some UI issues that got annoying after having so many levels. Having to exit all the way out in order to replay a certain level got repetitive. After landing from a jump there is a slight delay before a double jump can be done again, which delays some movement. I also got no reward for gathering all the collectibles, which was extremely disappointing. The controls can be quite fun at times, jumping to the dagger is very satisfying. This is a fun game to play a bit casually, but is definitely not worth the time for a full play through.

Would not change a thing if I could. Holy crap this is a great game. Game makers tool kit needs to do an episode on this game it is so good. I actually feel like a speed runner when I play this game. Good for new or experienced players Seems like a rip off of mineto (boruto’s grandpa), but it is what it is.

Absolutely scummy business practices. Don’t download this game! They have taken the “freemium” model to a new low, and it should not be encouraged. They pretend you are downloading the game, when in fact you are just getting the chance to pay $12/year for a mediocre game. Don’t waste your time with this garbage. Support ethical developers who don’t try to take advantage of users by outright lying to them.

Great game marred by Subscription model. I’ve seen this happen with so many great older games as of late. Previously, an app would be free with an ad here or there, or one could purchase the app for a couple of bucks. With this model, the cream could rise to the top. After these games were out for a while, they would get pushed down in the page views by newer and more robust games and apps. What’s a developer to do? All of a sudden, here come these subscription model jackholes who buy up well reviewed games and place them under the umbrella of SAS’s, (subscription as service). The parent company is happy, the developer is happy that new life has been breathed into their game .... but the end user, US, we are the ones who get screwed. This is predatory and reprehensible to do this.

Please fix. I couldn't even play the game it was just stuck on the crescent moon games and the woblyware and it didn't move even when it said it was done.

Great game, impossible expectations.. This game is great. The mechanics are pretty cool, and the controls handle okay, but it is definitely not a leisurely platformer. It literally feels like you have to time each jump just right or you’ll fall into spikes and die, and even if you don’t die from missing a jump it will set you way back, meaning there are collectibles you won’t be able to get, and forget about getting the time bonus. Even if you complete the level as fast and efficiently as is actually possible, there’s no way you can ever finish quick enough to get even a single star. I would recommend doubling the time constraints if you want most people to actually enjoy your game.

Ripoff. This game is obviously a ripoff of a game called Celeste. Honestly why would I pay a subscription for over $100 for a few mobile games when I can pay for $20 on a PC with better graphics and mechanics. They should honestly just have a optional cheaper subscription. Not to mention they never warned us their was a subscription.

I want my money back! (Even though it wasn’t much). This is not a review for the game it is a review for decisions made. I’ll start off by saying this..... I loved this game before they decided to make a terribly unprofessional, unethical decision. In fact I shared how much I loved this game with quite a few people and now I really regret doing that. I already paid for this game. Why cant I just play it. When I purchased the game it was a product, deciding to turn it into a service is was quite a lowbrow move. I hope the business model bombs for the chance of things going back the way they were. Play with a controller!. This game is really well designed and works perfectly with my ps4 controller! As there aren't many apps out yet with this kind of support it's really nice to finally try it out! Unfortunately you still need to tap the screen for some UI options. This prevents smooth gameplay causing me to adjust my position every time after reaching out my hand.

Daggerhood completion. I have played all the way through Daggerhood, it’s fun. The challenges are a good way to test your skills without being completely necessary. The only complaint that breaks my little completionist heart is that I can’t 3 star the last level. I have beaten it under the required time, but it still doesn’t give me the last star. Highly recommend if you like platformers and time trials

TERRIBLE CONTROLS. I made it through the first level with control issues. They continued so I gave up on level two and deleted the app. The controls are really bad, almost unplayable. Sorry Dev Team.

Subscription Trial Disguised As Free Game. It’s a great game as far as I can tell (which is only from the first two real levels, as much as the game let’s you play without buying a subscription service) but it’s a trial of the game disguised as a free game on the App Store.

Such a good and pure game. I love the game and how it plays. It is simple and retro like. This is unlike most of the game in the store and I love it.
