So refreshing. As briefly stated above, it is just refreshing to download an app that works the way it says will work, and does so efficiently, not to mention is priced fairly.

Adds EXIF to Photos app. This app adds an EXIF option right into the IOS Photos app. No need to go to the separate app! Just click Share option and go down the list to EXIF. Very helpful.

Simple and fast. As a conscientious parent, I am reluctant to share photos of my children on-line. This app clears any personal data and eases my concerns. Plus it is very straight forward and easy to use.

Great app. I don’t do reviews often but this is a great app, and the pro version is very cheap. Another thing is that the free version doesn’t really limit anything, the only things you get with pro is no ads and multiple photos at once, so there’s no actual limiting of features.

Confused. Like the idea and premise. Only used a few days but ... once data is set and original replaced, new data is not holding. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Disappointed. Hopefully it’s a glitch and will work itself out. If not, I just wasted $9.99 for pro version.

Good app for basic info from pics in the Camera app, missing some key features. I would like to know Focus mode, preview size and type, white balance and other information not found here. Most importantly, I am unable to access images that are not in the camera app. I would also like to access pictures on the file system and I keep many of my pictures in a folder on a OneDrive. I’d probably upgrade if it were a bit more complete.

Mostly Good.... I like most everything. Though I would like to be able to access the app directly from the the photos via activities (the way I would if to copy, print or edit with another app like photoshop express etc...) Also being able to add a free text addition to the address would also be nice. As I was updating old photos and some the location businesses have closed so I was not able to put in an exact place.

Doesn’t transfer photo with metadata.. We need to transfer the iPhone photos to PC with their metadata. This has an option to transfer with metadata but the data does not transfer. Otherwise test this is a great app to see the metadata.

Erases Metadata AND converts HEIC’s into jpeg’s !. How awesome is that? 1) it allowed me to easily use the free version first After using it, I purchased the pro version. 2) lets you keep the original photo w/ the metadata and you can easily add metadata to either photo. (I never review apps)

No HEIC & Fails to Remove Date/Time. This app used work. But now it’s nowhere near as useful and you should NOT get it. First, when load in a photo, it tells you that it CANNOT read heic format photos, which is what ALL photos on iPhones are now, and instead converts them to a poor quality jpeg. This is already a major flaw and tells you the app is not worth the money. Second, if you used the “remove all metadata” option on a photo, it does not do that and keeps the time and date. But that’s part of the metadata! It should also be removed. Basically, the app needs to correct these flaws before anyone should consider getting it, so don’t get it until, or if ever, then.

Does what it was advertised to do.. I’m going to sell some high-buck snow tires and I don’t want the entire universe on CraigsList to know my street address, latitude and longitude, elevation above sea-level. This app removes all that with one click. (The free version does have a lot of adds, but they only show After you finish editing.)

Should Be 5 Stars. I have used nearly every EXIF app for iOS. They ALL seem to be missing something another app has. Even all the paid ones. This one is no different. This one is the most complete however. It shows things others don’t (like HDR rendering for example), and it allows you to edit almost all data, which is fantastic. But the problem is, it only works for photos, not videos. This is very disappointing, as it’s incomplete for this reason. Please add videos, and I will revisit my review. Thanks for an otherwise fantastic photo metadata app!

Almost Perfect. Would give it 5 stars if there was an option to just add the location without having to replace the existing image. I have captions on my photos, and they get wiped out because it replaces the image.

It’s been a great use…. This was a great app, I purchase the pro version and it was okay! But now iOS 15 added their own metadata feature on their photos app, so thank you, I will not be needing this app anymore.

Used to work on iPad. I’ve use this app on the iPad for a couple years now but for some reason once you’ve selected pictures and removed meta-data they “appear” to be in the folders and within the app ( it will list the number of photos) but once you click on the folder such as “All Photos” they all disappear. I also have this app on my iPhone and it appears to work as it should.

Feature Request - Multiple Select. I would really like the ability to easily select multiple photos by simply dragging my finger down like photos selects, or at the very least a select entire album button.

Updates. I like the updates to this app because they actually do something. Not like those fast food apps I have that apparently fix bugs. They probably do, but at least these updates do something new.

Photos app integration is FANTASTIC. I used the EXIF action from the photos app, and it just slides up with all the information I need. It does it in a beautiful and unobtrusive way. It’s such a delight to use, and I am always impressed with how easy it is to use with the Photos app.

Simple, clean, and intuitive!. This is a great app if you are a novice, a pro, or somewhere in between. This app has several features available I cannot find in any other similar apps. (Talking to you serious photographers) I really appreciate having a one time purchase option as well.

Exif not saving. I’ve reviewed a lot of pictures I had without location and date and now when I go back to it, it shows that the location did save but the date is forgotten 😩. I will need to review each picture again to reset the date but I’m hesitant to do it with this app again... it would be useful if we could also save the pictures under another name so I can put the date there as well.

Won’t Work with Correcting Copyright Info. I paid for the Pro Version but I’m sorry I bothered. I want to make a slight change to my copyright info but the changes won’t save. The app tells me the photo has been modified but It hasn’t. There is no in app help and I have a lot of questions about saving the photo as a copy as opposed to modifying the original file. The last thing I need are more duplicates. This should be simple but apparently it isn’t. The concept, features and interface are all great. Sadly it just doesn’t work for me.

Can't select file by folder or date. You are stuck with selecting the pics organized by type. Not very useful when you want to look at most recent pics or for a specific date or in a specific folder. Paid Pro version doesn't solve this.

Can edit titles but still not searchable in iOS. I am disappointed in this app. I want to add titles to my photos in the same way I do on my Mac. This app apparently allows the adding of titles yet when I try to search in the photos app the newly titled photo doesn’t show up. What is the point of editing Metadata if I can’t use it outside the app. Perhaps if this is ever fixed I will give a better review. I was willing to pay for the app if this has worked. Please, can this be fixed ?

First free meta data changer. I’m trying to hide something and this helped me change the date

Great functionality but ads too intrusive. I’d give this a 5 based in functionality, but it has the most intrusive ads I’ve ever seen in an app; they are literally the equivalent of web pop-ups, which are the scourge of web browsing. Knocking it down to three stars due to the intrusive ads.

It’s functional (-:. Free version can edit EXIF data, e.g. dates, on iPhone photos, only one file at a time. The interface is clear and well-designed. Ad viewing takes a few seconds after each edit in the free version. Files are saved as JPGs after editing, not in the native iPhone photo format. I am not sure if that’s a shortcoming that can be fixed, or an iOS limitation. Four stars, because it’s a solid app overall despite those minor quirks.

No longer usable after feature update. The only reason I chose to use this app is because I could open a picture from my camera roll directly into this app. Apparently that has changed? Now when I go to open a photo in the app, it just takes me to the home page. I have hundreds of thousands of photos… I have so many photos that this app doesn’t load my library. And because I can’t load the library, I can’t select a photo, which means that this app is literally functionally useless for me now… I hope this change was a mistake. If not, it was a nice app while I could still use it.

Stopped working a few weeks ago. I’ve used this app for years without issue. About 3-4 weeks ago it stopped working as usual. After I select a photo and “remove all metadata” option, it now keeps all Exif data. 2 months ago, all of that would be deleted. So, if I re-select the same photo and use the “remove Exif” option, it will not remove the Exif. 2-3 months ago, I’d select a photo and all, & I mean all data was removed except for the photo itself. The photo metadata/Exif page was just blank. Not anymore. Now it looks like a CVS receipt after “remove all metadata” or “remove Exif” operations. This was a once great and simple app. It’s not working even after deleting and reinstalling it.

Missing features?. The app has been fine when I want to change dates and locations, but I can't edit the more detailed info like Orientation, Shutter Speed Value, Subject Area, and other detailed values. Exif Pro doesn't state if you can edit these when you subscribe,and I'm not willing to check it out!😕

One Issue. I like this app however occasionally when editing location data an error occurs that says, “Failed to edit location data.” This doesn’t happen on all photos so I’m not sure what the issue is.

Great App!!. I downloaded this on a whim wondering how to find out quickly how to save some favorite site locations for a gps map for customers. I love it. It takes your photo and provides the exact gps location it was taken from!!! Now if it could gather all your fave coordinates and create a map....heaven!!!

crashing. the app loads, i find the album i want, i select the photos i want to edit, i put the info in, then the app crashes right before the app has time to edit the info. i even turned my phone off then on to see if this will help with the crashing . . . nope, no go as it still kept crashing. i would love if i could change the oder of the albums, instead of it being based entirely upon when the folder was made = where it appears on the list.

Mapping is limited. The geolocation is shown in a small map within the app. It sure would be nice to expand or contract the map to see better there the location actually is. Better yet, have an option that passes the geotag to Apple Maps so I can use that. For example, to get directions to where the photo was taken.

Does not work properly selecting more than pic at a time. When selecting more than a pic, you receive a message that adding a location was successfuly done, and you select to delete the original ones. It only added location to 2 pics out of 10, but deleted the 10. So I lost 8 pics. Be careful and don’t upgrade. I will look for a better app. Don’t waste your time

Very Informative App. This application helps you remove personal information from photos. The application also allows you to + descriptions and memories to treasured photos.

Ads?. As of August 2023 they’ve added advertisements that autoplay every time you go to edit the metadata of a photo. And that’s even after I’ve already paid a subscription to use the app! It used to be a good tool, but having to watch FREQUENT ads each time you save a photo is totally impractical. I’d now recommend looking elsewhere for your metadata editing needs 🫤

All photos selec. Sure gives you an amazing amount of data on every pic your phone take.

Fantastic. Absolutely the best app I’ve found for identifying metadata on my iPhone photos. The developer has done a wonderful job in making this application user friendly.

There is NO consumer protection from these types of predatory APPS being posted to APPLE STORE by unscrupulous developers who trap the public in recycling subscription fees by making the unsubscribe process cryptic or as in the case of this APP flagrantly impossible! The only option is to remove your payment information from APPLE STORE which is patently RIDICULOUS Class Action needs to be brought against these developers and APPLE for this egregious violation of public trust and outright theft. The response from this deceitful developer posted below is typical “who me” B.S. blaming their corruption on someone else instead of taking responsibility for their own actions. To developer: You want to do right by customers? Then revoke this APP and suspend all recurring subscriptions until YOU fix the alleged issue with APPLE.

Great for handling old photos. Can easily change location and date to match original photos that I have preserved by taking pictures of them. Would be 5 stars but there doesn't appear to be paid option to delete the ads.

So far so good!. Only 10 minutes in, but it clearly lays out the metadata present and the work flow is smooth. I’ll update if anything changes

Half Baked App, Taking Peoples Money Anyway. It will initially show all the EXIF data, but when I click edit, it will then not show all the exit data. When you edit what EXIT data it does show, it will not always save the changes. Absolute waste of money. It’s apps like this that should be removed from the App Store.

Exif …. No instructions provided. No data came to screen, after I selected a single photo to test the app. A HELP file would be nice, because after I provided negative feedback I was sent the answer: if screen is blank after I test a photo, it means the photo HAS NO EXIF DATA.

Cool app. I would love to have a feature where I can search images by whether or not they have metadata in them. I changed the date or a ton of photos but when I do that I leave leftover Exif. I learned about this pretty late and have a ton of images with uncleared Exif that I can’t locate. A feature from the app where I can search every edited photo or every photo that has uncleared Exif would be great.

Bought the pro version. I knew right away I would need this. It is easy to use, just tap and get your pix, choose from the menu at the bottom and push to erase the metadata. You can also rewrite. Just simple.

To Remove Private Meta Data, User Have To Give Private Data To This App !!. This app collects private data, not good practice at all , but does not require subscription/payment for removing meta data , but in free mode there are excessive ads and it appears to not function !! so its kind of useless, unless you pay . Whats the point, that, to remove private meta data, user have to give/share private data !!? dangerous policy by developers . no one beside God can protect private data safely.

Correct the meta data. EXIF is useful to correct the meta data in a photo that was scanned and has the date of the scan not the date of the original photo. Only disadvantage is that just year alone can not be selected. Day, month, and time must be entered too. With photos, used for genealogy software, scanned from early 1900’s photo albums, only year is known.

Keeps crashing. While editing the dates on batches of photos the app will crash and shutdown. I’ve tried only editing 10 then 9 then eight and so on but it just crashes randomly. I was really hoping this app would help me fix my 70k plus photos. I do like the feature that it will delete the original after saving the new dated photos but the constant crashing is a real nuisance and leaves me looking for a different app.

Useless for editing photos not on the camera roll. It gave me some weird subset of pics to choose from from my photo library. No access to albums or Dropbox or other sources of photos on my phone. Oh well.

Does what it says. One full screen add after each metadata removal is worth it being free

Nice app. Great support.. This app does what it says it does. I had a question which was answered by support in five minutes. Fabulous.

No video metadata removal. Works well, but for some reason doesn’t do videos! I bought the subscription basically assuming this functionality. It seemed to basic and obvious as to not even think about, does this app do videos. It was only when I wanted to use the app on videos that I realised. Will remove when implemented.

Ads in trial put me off. App seems to work well but the so called “free to try” involves being forced to watch full screen ads, with sound, then being asked to review and rate app every time you edit a pic. I get that after a while - as the developer needs to make income - but how about a less intrusive approach for the first try. I won’t now buy as a result.

So buggy. Constantly crashes and needs to be restarted. So so buggy. Not sure how apps this unstable make it to the App Store. I paid for the Professional version - but want a refund.

Great app for the privacy conscious. I was so surprised to find an app like this in the apple ecosystem but what a great find it is. So simple to operate. Normally you’d have to do this kind of thing on Linux. Nicely done!

Doesn’t work on video files?. This inky works on photos as far as I can see there is no support for video files.

No instruction can’t figure it out. Won’t let me add photos. Not easy to use at all. Confusing and no instruction. They want you to buy the pro version.

Crashes when opening a folder. Which for large quantities of pictures is a must functionality. That alone would stop me buying the ‘pro’ version. Having to watch an advert for each pic change in the free version - a no no.

Great for Film Scans. An excellent, light weight tool to add data to film scans for an iPad photography workflow. I like to keep my film stock and ASA rating tied to my images and Exif makes this a snap. It would be great if this could be done to all 36 frames at once but currently the app suggests only batch editing 20 at a time as it can cause the app to crash if you select many more than that. I feel like the developers will solve this in time though as they have been quick to solve issues that arise when new iPadOS updates cause bugs.

Easy to use. I have been using this app for months now and found it works great for my purpose. I have some pics that were not dated because the camera date stamp was disabled for a series of pictures and scanned photos I wanted to archive didn’t have any exif info since they were originally analog. Works like a charm! The extension works perfectly too to view exif data just using the share button when in Photos on iOS. Love it!

Can’t save edits. I tried over and over, but couldn’t get the app to work. I remove some EXIF data, then press save, iOS asks if I allow the app to modify the photo. But the photo still has the data I removed. I’m using iOS 13.1.2 on an iPhone 11 Pro. Would love to give 5 stars!

Not worth it. It does a copy of the original photo on each edit/save 🤦🏻‍♂️ also riddle with ads.

Doesn’t show any of my Shared Albums. It lists the ‘local’ albums that are on the iPhone, but doesn’t show any of my Shared Albums. Useless to me, so I’ve deleted it.

The app crashes. It freezes, very slow to update the new photos. It crashes. No use. I uninstalled it

Exit. I finally got a program that is well built.

RAW Support?. Disappointed in the lack of support to edit Exif data for RAW images. The only reason I wanted this app was to adjust the time and add location for images taken with my Sony a6000 bit this app just throws an error each time I try to save. Otherwise seems nicely designed and intuitive, I just wish I could save my changes.

App that actually works. I’m always very skeptical about free apps and always read the reviews. Most seldomly live up to the claims of the developers so I was very pleasantly surprised that this app met my expectations. I was able to add or change the location data and the dates with no issues. In the free version you can only edit one pic at a time but that works for me. Little heavy on the advertising but hey, it’s free. I have no problem recommending this app if you need a quick edit of the Exif data. Well done! Used on IPad.

Spyware. This app should not collect location information but does missleading spyware

Fails to see some shared albums. While some shared albums are visible, others are simply not there?

GPS not read. Looks great in many ways, but does nor appear to be able to read GPS data from exif as embedded by camera. This for me was the whole point, as Lightroom Mobile doesn’t either.

Disappointing. I just got the app and expected ads. I did one action - remove location data, and then bam - save and ad. No, I could not explore the features to understand how it works and examine the result… immediate distraction. I guess it is how they make the money. Not impressed.

Show all without location. Needs reverse option. I'd give it 5 stars and buy if you can reverse that feature. I would like to see all that has location and remove it

Keeps crashing. When opening a folder or any folder within photo app on ipad. On iPhone it works well..........why pls fix this on ipad. Even tried deleting the app and re-installing it

No ability to fix Exif panorama data. Facebook no longer recognizing panorama photos from iOS devices and was hoping this app would allow me access to all of the exif data to edit. Only a subset of the data is available…

Great customer service. Within a day of me suggesting that the App should display altitude in feet, Ben upgraded the App.

Amazing app with equally impressive support!. EXIF Metadata does exactly what it says it will do. It’s extremely easy to use and the customer support is great. The inexpensive lifetime Pro version is worth every penny.

Rename File. If I understand correctly, this EXIF tool cannot edit the actual file name? Kind of makes it useless on iPhone since it’s very difficult to rename an image on iOS.

Unreliable. I'm a developer and was using this app to confirm my own writing out of EXIF data. I struggled for hours to understand why my metadata didn't attach to the image, until finally I tried another EXIF data viewer and it was there all along! I don't know what this app is reading, but it's not necessarily all of the image metadata.

Slow and bloated. Can only edit data for one picture at a time, and then watch a 15 second advertisement that plays out loud with no warning. Terrible app, use something else.

Did not work. While the saved copy of the photo was no longer a live photo, it still retained the metadata - it saved the copy of the photo next to the original in my camera roll (despite newer photos having been taken after) and still showed the original photo time.

Editing multiples crashes. I like the idea, but I’d like to also add images from iCloud files. Also, editing multiple with only 2 images crashes on save. Every time. iPadOS 16 then 17.

Exif Location doesn’t work properly. If I take add location data to a photo using the app, it will still label it as having no GPS data in the gallery. If I open with iOS photos it still doesn’t show the location

Too expensive for one time use. Bought Pro version which only allowed meta change once. I only selected one picture to try it out and that was the only one I could change. If you are doing many changes you need to select all changes at once.

Doesn’t work. Tried using the app. Within the app everything seemed to work. But when I uploaded the image to test it on an online EXIF viewer all the original data was still there. So I don’t think this app works and seems to be a prank or something.

Can’t edit exif ORIENTATION. Paid $9.99 for the full featured version. Does not offer SELECT ALL…must pick every pic in a group. Does not allow editing ORIENTATION field needed for setting up for photo frame.

such a lifesaver. this app was legit the only app that allowed me to edit metadata for free. i’ve been looking for so long to change the time on my photos and th is was the only app that actually does it for free with no charge. there’s just an ad every time you change it, but that’s fine with me.

Free version doesn’t do anything.. I’m all for paying for an app that works but if you’re going to offer a free version that does literally nothing but show ads and claim “meta data isn’t available” how is anyone supposed to have feel secure in actually buying the app?

Doesn’t remove all metadata (time/date). I was hoping I could mass remove the date and time pictures were take but it can’t… it removes Everything else BUT the time and date. You can change it manually for each one though. Absolute waste of money.

Very concise and easy to edit. The app is free and worth it but I recommend upgrading to the ad free version mainly to support their great app

Serves ads very well!. Don’t waste ur time or data on this app!! Only thing this app does well without paying is to serve ads! Also, the small grey font on the white background the real purpose of the app is to... with use, make users need glasses... ok... that’s a bit harsh but really... the app writer needs to find another vocation...

Unreliable. Some files it will edit the date but not location. It’s slow and clunky.

Incessant pop-ups. Every function causes an annoying ad to pop up. Easy enough to use but what an irritating disappointment.

Doesn't actually work. Good for organizing your photos, but it doesn't actually remove the data. If someone has the right software it's all still imbedded in the photo file.

Easy to use. Very easy to use and does exactly what I want (removes location data).

Please remove the annoying ads. I don’t like the ads. Also, the AP does not keep track of photo selection locations.

Buggy once you buy the Pro upgrade. Tried it a couple times under free mode and was impressed so I paid the Pro upgrade price and found it to be buggy (i.e. multi select starts to work then times out). Hopefully this gets addressed in an app update.

I wish I could give NO stars!. Just downloaded this at $9.99 thinking I could remove the metadata from a photo for a social media post! It DIDN’T happen and I want a refund! Why advertise what the app should do when it does nothing!!! Such a scam!

Works, but the ads. Ads are too intrusive and ruin the customer experience for an otherwise fine app.

iOS 10: doesn't show updated EXIF data. Although I can successfully write EXIF data, the app never shows any EXIF data on any image, even when I set it using this app. This means that I can't update data without re-writing all of the fields that I want to preserve.

Does what it says. Great app. Does what it says. Pro version is $2.99, well worth it.

Just purchased and it doesn’t remove photos,,this is why I purchased it.. Doesn’t work for me on my IPAD pro, got billed but I can not figure how this “Best App” can remove my multiple photos?

Nope. Appears developer spent more time larding on advertisements than making a functional app. Fails to find/read/show all metadata. Example: no Canon body serial number. Preview on macOS shows more fields than this dedicated app that has one job.

Read the Privacy Policy. This app unnecessarily collects a large amount of personal info and has no self-imposed restrictions re: what they can do with your data. This also includes 3rd party analytics. There are competing products that respect your privacy and commit to not collecting your personal info and selling it.

Exif ad unusable, time consuming and cumbersome. unusable, have to watch ad every single time I edit the date to the correct date for every picture, also have to do every picture separately unless you pay for an upgrade.

Terrific, especially with iOS 13. This integrates all well with the new photo gallery that it should be a native feature.. really useful tool

Does not work. Switched to PRO to edit multiple photos, limits you to 20 at a time. I have done multiple batches of 10-15 at a time and they all still show the old dates. Doing one at a time is in the free version, I paid for PRO and PRO does not appear to work as advertised.

So Far, So Good.... The app is so far, so good...yet, I don't see the EXIF video data removal option. Is it an option, or am I mistaken?

Doesn’t let me open the app from the Photos App. The option isn’t there anymore.

Great app for privacy. Great for protecting your online privacy when uploading to social media etc……

Ehh awful. This app is pretty much worthless. I find it doesn’t Really have a lot of good use, is slow and Just another app that want to spend money to get upgrade to Actually get something that works.

Missing agile Support. I can edit metadata of files in Photos in that app itself. I wanted to rename files based on metadata, add tags, and comment field in EXIF. This didn’t fit my use case.
