I’m super into plants. As the title implies, so having an app like this actually does encourage me to hydrate myself. Because I don’t want my plant to wilt! I used to use the first version of Plant Nanny, which your plant would actually die if you don’t water it. I prefer this version because the previous one made me a bit anxious. But if you think it’ll be better for you to have that motivation, I would go for version 1. The app itself has a very cute design and it’s all very easy to use. I like how interactive it is, so that it helps you WANT to drink water. I’m on day three of this app so hopefully, my nine glasses of water a day will continue to stick. I’m also more aware now of how much water I DON’T drink... like, I used to drink only just 1 glass a day. My bladder is working on overdrive right now! I’ve been reassured that’ll wear off once my body gets used to the hydration though, haha. Weirdly enough, I’ve also been thirstier. Which is great, because I’m the kind of person that prefers tea or coffee over water, so it’s nice that my body is finally craving something healthy. Another thing! I’ve been eating better because water helps keep my tummy full. I remember reading once that the feeling of hunger might actually be your body needing to be hydrated. That’s certainly true, I drink a glass before a meal, then during a meal, and I don’t need to get up for seconds anymore. It’s almost ridiculous, my portion sizes have been reduced by half!

MONEY HUNGRY UPDATE !!!. This update is a sham !!!!! I used like this app, I even had it downloaded years ago and it helped a lot. Now it seems that everything is about money. Why did they take away the acorns?! And replaced them with the fluff or cotton ?!?!? Makes no sense, right? Wrong, they did this because they want you to subscribe to the subscription. Now there are constant ads when you click on anything promoting the subscription. It’s very annoying and makes me want to exit the app every time!!! They don’t give you many cotton like they used to with acorns. And the worst part that has made me delete this app, they limited the plants you can grow!!! Now, there are only a few free options, when before there were plenty of options if you had enough acorns. This app used to be helpful but now it’s frustrating to even just click around due to constant ads, id rather keep a water log in a notebook than use this app again. Changed the app for the worst.

Love it! <3. I’ve been using this app for a while maybe in like mid 2023 and my experience has been good I’ve been drink much more water with this cute app, well even more water ever since I got a cirkul water bottle for Christmas which is flavored water with NO SUGAR! But anyways so far this app actually helped me the thing is u have to pay to make ur lil plant have different personalities which is not much of a problem but I would like for at least one more personality to be available for people that can’t pay in apps or games ,and also I would like if you could have different times to drink water in different days of the week cause in this app you can get notifications to remind u to drink water but I have school and well I have a different schedule on school day rather then on weekends so I would love if I can put different times to drink water then on weekends and school days. If ur still reading this mind checking my Wattpad I’m making a story called tea in a bowl my dream is to be a writer so I would very much appreciate it! <3

Truly Helping Me Drink More Water. As someone with likely lifelong undiagnosed ADHD, or as I like to call it “DAVE”, gamifying things like this helps give me the external motivation I need to accomplish my goals. I love making my plant happy and feeling like something else besides my own health is dependent upon me drinking enough water. I need more games like this in my life! Life hack tip for people in their forties who think they have “DAVE”, don’t write off childish seeming things like fidget toys, or games like this. Our brains are different and we need to look outside the box for answers. It’s not about trying harder. It’s about trying different things, until we find what works for us and rewards our brains in a way that lets us “do the things”. You are NOT lazy. You just don’t have the dopamine already available in your brain that the majority has. You can’t manifest it by just trying harder. Find ways to make it “fun/novel” instead. Gamifying chores has been a good strategy for me, and now I’ve found a good one for water drinking. Good luck fellow neurodivergent brains! And drink your water! :D

The old version was better.. I'm genuinely saddened by the new update. I recently had to update my app because it was glitching and wouldn't load animations so I re-installed it. No problem, right? Except because I reinstalled it, I had to lose all my data. I had 2.2k acorns that I painstakingly saved up over the course of a year and a half as well as several hundred clovers to spend on leveling up enclosures that are now all gone. Not only that, I cannot even save up easily anymore to get them back. They took away the ads that allowed you to double acorns in the greenhouse and/or get daily acorns from ads, and I am deeply saddened by this. I was preparing to get some of the super cool flowers and now that progress is gone. Losing a whole year and a half of progress is not worth it. I'm giving 3 stars because the new version is smoothly updated (although I don't know why they swapped the book and the stats page, it's hard to get used to now) and it looks more modern, but I don't think I'll continue using this app.

I Love My Garden!. Honestly, as a neurodivergent person, I have to say I've been using this app for so long now and it's probably one of the only ones that not only keeps me on track with my water intake but also makes me excited for it! I love watching my cute little virtual garden expand with all sorts of plants! The app is so easy to use, visually stimulating, very fine tuned to you/your schedule and isn't constantly pushing ads or "get the paid version" down your throat. I think the app creators did a wonderful job balancing free users getting to log water and grow their garden vs what paid users are able to do, such as customize their garden more and etc. I honestly recommend this app to anyone who wants to start keeping better track of their water intake for whatever reason as well as continue to use it for many years to come! ❤️

Cute AND Helpful. I have used the original Plant Nanny app for a while and really loved it! I was happy to see a newer app come out, and I really enjoy it as well; however I do hope to see the glass size options come back in the new app as well as possibly some customization options. I liked that I could change the background of the window sill in the original app - not a big deal, but something that could make it a little more personal and uplifting. I would also love to see an update that could allow one to add a cup from an Apple Watch. I get the notifications there and it would just be a petty and convenient touch to be able to press a button right then and there since I often finish my current cup when the notification pops up. Overall, would recommend, thank you Plant Nanny team! :)

Love this app!! Must-have for fellow athletes. But.... I love this app!! I use all the time so that I can stay healthy. I’m a gymnast, and runner, and a mountain-biker, so this is sooo helpful!! The plants are really cute and this really motivates me to drink more water daily. I used to drink 16 ounces of water a day, and now I drink 40! Working up to my goal of 55. But I’m on level one, and my friends hav ethics app and they’re on level three. They say that the plant dies really quickly, and I’ve seen their plants. The plant dies in about two hours. I don’t know if this is on purpose, but if it’s not please fix this. Also, I have this app on my iPad, not a phone, and it’s really hard for me to plug in now much water I’ve had if I can’t carry my iPad around. I’ve come up with a solution, but please fix this: If I try at the end of the day to plug in all the water I’ve had that day, it reminds me to not drink a ton of water at one time. What if I’m not and I’m just plugging it in at one time? I have limits on my iPad and can’t be one it every hour of everyday. Can you just have the reminder pop up and have their be an option to not show it again? That would be really helpful! I don’t know if there’s a way I can do this on my own. Please fix this but overall really great app!! Must-have for fellow athletes.

Fun!. Definitely fun and has helped me (and the kids) drink more. Less one star for a couple of annoyances - if I want to log a couple of cups at a time cuz I was busy earlier it tells me I’m drinking too fast. My day often goes well beyond midnight so I’d like to set my own time for my days. It would also be nice to customize the goal water intake - some people have different medical needs so that would be good to let them adjust. I suppose I could “trick” the app by saying you’re more active but certainly couldn’t have less volume. Overall tho a great concept and app and I love the slow buildup with more prizes like sunshine and acorns that do different things. It was frustrating at first not to know what u could do with them until u built up enough but that keep me engaged as well to be persistent and I think the rate of prizes is just right to do exactly what it was meant to do - help u drink enough water today and every day.

Edit: the app works again (:. I wrote a review earlier because the app kept crashing and I wasn’t able to even use it. It seems the issue has been fixed, and likely had something to do with Apple ID login. Anyways, still missing a few stars because I can’t retroactively add water intake. Sometimes I don’t have the time to log my water, or I don’t have my phone on me, but still have a measurable bottle or cup so I know how much I drank, but then when I log it the plant tells me to “slow down.” A feature that allows timed water tracking where I can input past water (as well as other drinks, such as tea & dehydrators like alcohol or coffee) would go a long way, even if it didn’t include the other drinks. Another feature I’d really like is variable water needs, as my water needs aren’t exactly the same each day: activity level, outdoor temperature, stress level, what I’m eating, and even weight are not always consistent, especially when I’m trying to lose weight. I’d like the water goal to be slightly changeable at least on a weekly basis, but preferably daily based on some of these factors. Will update this as I use the app more and see what new features might be available.

This app probably saved my health not to be dramatic. Honestly I have the worst time keeping up with my water intake so much so I would accidentally go a whole days (that’s right plural) not drinking actual water but instead drinking other beverages as a substitute (my poison was iced tea) I realized it was a problem when my kidneys started to hurt- Signs of a urinary tract infection from lack of water. After that I realized I have to start drinking water regularly and low and behold this app popped up on my recommended I’ve been using it for a month and I don’t go a day without watering my plant baby its 8 cups!!! I mean who knew water could help you that much! My skin is clearer than before and my bones aren’t sore everyday anymore! Anyways this app is a life changer for those trying to get that much needed hydration you won’t regret it!! My kidneys say thank you to the app developers!

Awesome. It is awesome to help keep up with how much water you drink and to make sure you drink enough water I also love that you can customize the flower pots! Right now I am on the sunflower. So adorable. But I would take a drink and I would do it again and it says I’m drinking too much water, I guess I maybe am though. Idk if it’s supposed to be like that or if it’s not. Overall, this app is pretty good! So,I am back, I deleted this app, because when I was saving up for a new flower pot, and I upgraded, I bought it before I was upgrading it was a 150 clover thing, and it was gonna when I leveled up. BUT I was here for the water. But I mean I am a kid!! This is all cute animations too. But most importantly, It helps you, and reminds you to keep drinking water, and staying healthy!! Just be careful if you wanna save up maybe stick with a 50 clover item. But anyways, This helps amazingly and a lot with keeping hydrated because I play a lot of sports too! So thank you so much plant nanny!!😁👍💖

Falls short of the original Plant Nanny. I hope the creators will still be updating the original Plant Nanny, because this new version falls short on the following points, for me: (1) no more options for different glasses of water - a feature I thought distinguished the original app from other health tracking apps. We don’t drink the same quantity of water every time we go for a glass of fluid! In the new version, I have to go change the custom glass size in the settings for each drink - that’s pretty inconvenient. (2) This is a personal preference, but I think the new aesthetics are too cutesy, and focused on the character rather than the plant! I want a plant, not a tamagotchi. I also like the window sill and the options for backgrounds.. Sure, the graphics could use an update, but the concept was nice - I found comfort and familiarity with having a houseplant by the window. The new background is not as relatable. (3) User interface is, yes, not as primitive as the original, but that also makes it a tad less simple and friendly. (4) This is so minor, but I thought the golden clovers was popcorn. Hehe (5) Finally, the advent of a new version seems to signal to the fact that the original will no longer be updated, and will slowly get phased out via incompatibility with newer software updates (ie. we will lose all of our precious plants and an app that works better than its successor). PLEASE KEEP UPDATING THE ORIGINAL PLANT NANNY 🙏!

Could be better. This app has helped me drink more water which is very helpful but I think it could still improve. The multiple currency systems are confusing, the scrolling with the plants’ displays is difficult to use and the plants are limited, since there are only seven different ones with four growth stages per plant and they get boring quickly. There is also no motivation to use the clover currency to buy pots because it is such a limited way to customize your plants so for me at least the clovers just sit around. I would suggest combining clover and acorn currencies for the future, as well as adding more plants and possibly different paths for the plants to grow so there are more possibilities for unique plants. I also think the app should fix some of its technical issues like the scrolling and some of the writing in the English version, which is sometimes confusing or repetitive. I wish there were more options for arranging plants as well because the current system has them out of sight, out of mind in underground displays that I only look at to collect seeds. Something like what Viridi does might be a good idea, since Viridi’s options for customization are very good and I love their art style. I still really like this app and use it every day!

Kind of boring. I missed the old version of this game. I had played for maybe 3 years and had so many plants and acorns. I had named all the plants and chose coordinating pots too which I found to be really fun. I lost all my progress when I got a new phone because the app did did not sync my current game to the cloud, instead downloading the newly installed fresh game to my new phone. Every time I tried to open the app in a new device to try to save my progress, there was no way to actually get the current progress uploaded, just download the current. Really stupid and frustrating. Plant Nanny 2 is just OK. It’s petty boring, even more so than Plant Nanny but is made worse by the fact that the app always happens to freeze when you try to watch an add to double your acorns upon opening the app. It plays fine for sunlight and the popcorn thing, but half the time freezes for the acorns. Also super annoying. I’d stop playing if it wasn’t for the cute graphics and desire to actually be reminded to drink water regularly. Besides that, I don’t care to spend much time in the app.

Even the free version is great!. I love this app, the plants are so cute and I have been drinking so much more water since downloading it. One thing that I wish was available in the free app was the ability to set a custom goal instead of it being based on your weight and exercise level... I am currently pregnant and need a much higher intake than would be true if I were not, so I had to adjust my weight up until it fell to the goal I wanted. That being said about the free version, I also am trialing the premium version right now. I think the subscription price is way too high for my budget so I likely will not be keeping it, but regardless, I wish there was a way to turn off the plant speech bubbles. Before my plants could talk they were way cuter, now they are irritating me! This review seems kind of negative but I couldn't find another way to give feedback without posting it publicly. I do love the app and will be keeping it, likely on the free version.

Needs Some Tweaking. The game itself is fun and does encourage me to drink more water, but it would be great if there was a way to enter in the time I drank each glass of water because I often don’t get a chance to log my water at the time I finish it, I enter it hours later which means I regularly enter two or three glasses of water at one time and the app yells at me for drinking so much at once, even though that’s not what I did. The app also won’t allow me to enter in the amount of water that my doctor wants me to drink, so I have to lie about my weight in the app until I get to the amount my doctor wants me to consume. Lastly, the app yells at me when I drink more water than my goal—my doctor’s water goal for me is a minimum amount so it’s safe for me to drink more, but there’s no way to explain that in the app. At the end of the day I do still like the app with its cute little plants. But with the tweaks I mentioned above I would go from like to LOVE.

Fantastic. It’s adorable! It sends you notifications (if you want it to) when your plant needs more water and when you haven’t drunk water in a long time then it starts to act all tired and out of breath and then eventually it turns all shriveled and brown and you get to choose witch plant you grow and you level up your plant by drinking enough water and when one plant is fully grown then you get to pick a new one and you can costomize the pot and take pictures of your plant to send to people and it’s an adorable and fun way to drink enough daily water. I personally was stinging about two cups of water daily before I got the app but now that I’ve been using it I’ve drunk 12 daily consistently. I highly recommend this. It is a great way to use screen time and storage and (again) its adorable and fun! GET IT! It’s so worth it and it’s free to download!

G00d. gratE. @₩some. It’s good. At first I didn’t use it as much but then I got really sad that my plant was dying so I drank more. I really like the design and all of the plants and animals are so cute. I got my brother to use it and I think he likes it. I don’t really know. The reason I switched from the og plant nanny to this one was was because I don’t think there’s a way to change how big the cup is so I set for how big my water bottle at the time was (800ml) but then that one got a hole in it and my new one wasn’t the same size. (950ml) and that was kinda annoying but on plant nanny two your able to switch how much each cup is, and you can even set extra cups. Anyways I hope this wasn’t to long of a review, this is my first one but all in all I think that this is a great app you should definitely try it and even if you don’t like it just undownload it 🤷🏽‍♀️

Breastfeeding Mama must have app!. This app has really helped to make drinking water more often fun! As a breastfeeding mother drinking lots of water is key to build and maintain a good milk supply so this app is amazing at reminding you to drink every 2-4-6 hours with alerts! Not to mention it’s super cute I love watering my sunflower as I drink myself. I double up the use for the water alerts as a reminder to pump as well! Definitely recommend this app to all the breastfeeding mamas out there! For developers I would recommend making the subscription cheaper I personally feel it’s extremely expensive $70 for a year sorry way to much for this mama and I think most mamas! Also wish the app would have an automatic day and night background setting for the plants. It would be so cute to see our plants with a moon - star lit background when night hits!

Hate Hate Hate the update.. I subscribed last December after using the free version for a number of months. Both free and subscribed still require you to watch multiple minutes of ads each day to collect your rewards, but I got my 6yr old into it, and we really looked forward to watering the plant (and ourselves) regularly. We had collected over 28,000 seeds, 1.500 clovers, and 1,300 sunshines. It was fun to collect the seeds from the greenhouse (a great noise, and you checked out your previous plant creations). You used the sunshine to upgrade your greenhouse and collect more seeds, etc etc. The update removed all of that, and you’re just left with your clover balance (the lowest balance) which you now use to update/purchase everything. (Pots will run you 500 clovers for the fancy seasonal ones). This is Total crap. I have subscribed for $70/year and still have to watch 4/5 minutes a day for 8 clover rewards, and now I’m not even collecting enough rewards to use in the app!! Im assuming they created the update to force you to purchase additional clovers (which are expensive in real world money) to buy new plants, or pots or upgrade your greenhouse. Absolutely not. I will also not be renewing my subscription.

Ruined by version update :(. I loved Plant Nanny—I’m on day 1254 of my streak!—but it was ruined for me when even more of the content was paywalled by fourdesire rebranding to Sparkful and the content redesign that came with it. The in-game currency of “seeds” are no more, and so the plants that you could previously buy with seeds are either free or locked behind the subscription paywall. I had been trying to collect all of the animals (and i was only missing about four of them!), which meant that I had been saving up seeds to get the plants that were missing, but now of course the plants that I hadn’t gotten to in time aren’t available unless I subscribe. I know the app needs to make money, but the need to pay just to do the basic motivational things in the app has really tanked my enthusiasm for it. I no longer recommend it to my friends, and if it weren’t for that streak, I would have ditched the app by now. It is such a cute and simple concept, and it was SO motivating to fill out the collection of greenhouse animals and plant all of the plants for free!! But that’s not possible anymore. +2 stars for nostalgia and cute plant designs :(

I TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO GET THIS APP. If I had a dollar for every person I got to download this app I could buy so many more clovers. This is by far the cutest and most successful app I have ever used to track water intake and form the healthy habit of trying to reach my goal everyday. Nothing is better than randomly saying “oh, I need to water my plant!” while at school, the office, dinner table, etc. and having people look at you with funny faces of curiosity before you pull up THE CUTEST APP EVER, Plant Nanny, and explain that every time you drink a glass of water, you get to water a virtual plant, name it, love it, and watch it grow, while you build an adorable collection. Plant Nanny Forever. 💙 P.S. (Plant Nanny 2 is far better than the original app, however, I have been a fan/ user since the very original version.) In the first version, your plant would die if you hadn’t “watered it” often enough, and then you would have to start all over. Very sad and discouraging.. Now, in Plant Nanny 2, the plant will never “die” the animation will instead look as though your plant has “wilted” since the last time you opened your app. Now if that happens, no worries, just drink a glass of water, and your plant perks up and returns to its lively animation! This update encourages you to get back into the habit of drinking water & growing your plant, even if you forgot for a few days. Instead of starting all over. Overall, Best. App. Ever.

I love it!. Plant Nanny is very helpful in keeping me drinking the amount of water I should everyday. It doesn’t even feel much like a chore because I’m keeping this cute little plant alive!😜 I do wish I could take a glass of water through my Apple Watch... this would be way more convenient because I see the notification pop up but am usually talking to someone or in other words, too busy to bring out my phone at the moment and I forget later. And the other thing I would like to see is more ways to get more involved in the game... My son likes to play the game just for the plant and it does encourage him to drink more water, however, when water isn’t available (or he’s too lazy to get it) he likes to douce the plant in tons of water he isn’t actually drinking because there isn’t much else to do... I know that is very specific and more my problem than yours, but I think if you were to take care of it more like play games or more customizations, like of the background, people might have a better time visiting the game... Again, more my problem than yours so this is only a tiny suggestion if you want..

Years of Hydration. I started with the original plant nanny app a couple of years ago when I wanted to start drinking 3 liters of water a day instead of basically 0. It helped so much with my habit by making tracking water cute and fun. I updated to this new version and totally love it. The premium is honestly excellent because of more plant options and the plant personalities. I think the challenges/achievements in both free and premium are probably really inspiring to people starting out trying to make a habit. There are a few things I would change, even though I can swear by the app and tell everyone about it. I really don’t like how there is no way to change the background, which was something I really loved about the old app. The only other thing I dislike is the lack of variety in the chosen personalities. I would like to see more of them and more differences between them since they all honestly feel too similar. The app offers both a free version and a premium subscription. I’ve used both. The free version is great and includes the fun basics, and right now, mostly due to some money issues, I use it because ever since using the original app, I have barely missed a day of 3 liters because making the habit tracking fun made me stick to it until it was second nature, and now I just like to check off the water and don’t need the premium features. It’s a great app and a great sequel to the original plant nanny that I give major credit to For changing my hydration habits.

Cute, but missing v1 concenience. Pros: The new modern interface is nice and it's a definite plus that I'm able to link to Apple's Health app. If you're like me and you dislike seeing a red notification bubble on your home screen, you'll like that this version doesn't utilize that as a countdown feature. Cons: There is only one quick cup size. While you can customize how many oz or ml in your "default," I don't always use the same cup size all day and need to manually adjust it every time. I liked the feature in v1 that allowed you to preset multiple cups you might drink from in a given day. I hope a future update will make this available. Also, the notification is not dynamic. I just recorded drinking a glass of water, and two minutes later was reminded to drink more just because it was on the hour. I know going in to record more already will give me a warning to slow down, so I would like to see a notification pop up an hour from my last cup rather than prompted by the world clock.

Ok so far. Initial impression- This app is ok so far but there are already things I’d improve. For instance it will only let you add full cups of water (whatever your smallest is set at) not individual ounces. So I can’t just add a few ounces here and there. I like that there is a game aspect to the app but I already feel like I’m basically getting nothing in the free version. I’ll come back and re rate again after I’ve used it for a bit. Right now I just want the free flower pot you get for a rating. And that’s another thing I don’t like the bribe to rate. It would be better to give you the free flower pot after watching a certain amount of videos. The developers are basically lo key paying you to rate only doing it in a very cheap way hence my 2 stars. Updated not even 5 seconds later- I went back to get my free flower pot for leaving a review and I can’t have it because I didn’t leave a 5 star review! So you get something free in the app only if you leave a 5 star review. Any review won’t cut it. It has to be 5 stars! So don’t believe the reviews. I can’t imagine so many people decided they love this app and didn’t realize they would get something free out of it. Shady.

Works well, just have a few minor suggestions. This really works well to help me track my water intake and remind me to actually DRINK, but I don’t keep the same hours as other people: I’m chronically ill, so I don’t have set hours and schedules. I don’t have a set “wake” and “sleep” time, so scheduling reminders for water is difficult. In a perfect world, letting it always send reminders — if someone sets it up for that — so long as the phone isn’t on Silent would be better for me, but this one is negligible. What isn’t as much is the timers. I need to be reminded more than every two hours. I have custom reminders for every hour, but it only allows up to 10 custom reminders. I would love to either have more customs OR have an hourly expansion. This is where other apps are still beating this one. This app has a better interface overall, but every other app I have used has offered one hour reminders. This one starts at two. Outside of these two issues, this app is amazing. I pay for the full version and I have no issues continuing to support it. I do love it and I’ve found myself drinking more water since using it — and so has my husband, who is obsessed with keeping his plant alive. My husband, who I couldn’t get to drink a GLASS of water before. So this app does SOMETHING right, I gotta say!

Helped me get more motivated to drink more water!. First of all, the visual design work is so cute and aesthetic! As a design student, I appreciated the balanced color scheme and the overall concept of watering plants by drinking more water! Overall, I enjoyed it, but I just wished the logging system could have been improved by not making us restart the log when logging water intake between after midnight to daytime. Pros - Cute variety of plants to choose from - Customizable default cups - Still useful even if the user is not subscribed - 7 day trial before getting charged for the subscription Cons - When logging the water intake after midnight and also logging in the morning, the app tends to restart the logs (because of the pop up saying “First cup of the day”). I found it odd because if I have logged water intake after midnight, it’s basically the next day. But when I log again during daytime, it looks like the app didn’t apply the one I logged during midnight time. - Less unlocked plants to buy if not subscribed - it’s not a big deal, but sometimes if I’m drinking from a cup, I don’t know exactly the oz. I would have liked it if there was a feature where we can take a picture of our cups so that the app can estimate the oz based on the cup size.

Great water reminder but could be better. This is a great way for you to get set reminders (you can choose when) to drink water every day. It’s fun and cute. Nevertheless, they could improve the app by the following few things. They let you name the plant (the plants are already named by the type of flower or plant it is, but you can change it) yet on the main watering page and even after it’s planted into it’s Flower Box in the tree hole, the names of the plants are never shown anywhere. It would be nice if they would put the names at the bottom of the planter of each plant. I played the original Plant Nanny for a couple years and it had more plants to choose from (and the names were displayed). Plant Nanny 2 only has seven plants to choose from. They really need to add more plants, not to mention more pot options (colors, shapes, designs) as well. Other than that, I can’t think of anything else that would make the game better but will update my review later. All in all, it is a great app and you should give it a shot!

I like the original version better.. Maybe I don’t know how to navigate this one as good, but the og version was easier to use. I’m going to keep using it for now but I am a little disappointed. I don’t like how you can’t choose what size water you are drinking. I don’t drink the same amount of water each time so it’s hard for me to log the amount of water if I’m not drinking the same amount. Other than me not knowing how to navigate this properly, it’s just as cute as the og and I’m happy to still be able to have this app. UPDATE💥 I figured out how to use this app now, lol. I love this app because it reminds me of the old one. My only thing now is how the ounces don’t go up higher. I have a water bottle that is 36+ ounces and I don’t want to constantly track little ounces, I would like to just track my whole water intake at that time. Other than that, this app is great.

Good Game. I had the game a couple of times before to remind me to drink water it didn’t work bc I would just forget about the plant entirely, a couple years later and here I am got the app again. Now I do actually take care of my plant and am reminded to also drink water myself which I’m happy for. I like taking care of my plant but idk I wish my plant could do a bit more. The plant has eyes so I don’t think you’re trying to be realistic with this app so maybe adding in each plant has a different message to say to you and not just one thing for each plant. I want the plants to in a way give me some kind of motivation with their words. Could even add in jokes just something that makes want to come back to my plant more than just having to water it. I don’t spend a whole lot on the app so yah something like that would make me stay a bit longer on there.

Get this app if you want a fun way to stay motivated!!. I love this app! I am in my journey of weight loss and it has not been easy. I always forget to stay hydrated and I honestly lose motivation really quick. This app is very helpful! It tracks how much water you drink everyday and you have to take care of different flowers, they’re now my babies who I wanna keep healthy. You also get points which you can spend on getting cute different pots for your flower. It also asks where you’re at (weight) and your activity level to customize it to your own body. You can also set alarms. Overall, this app is a fun way to keep you motivated because of the now responsibility you have of taking care of a plant. They’re so cute and bubbly which melts your heart and motivates you. I’d definitely recommend this unique and helpful app for anyone who’s trying to stay hydrated and lose weight! GOODLUCK!! YOU GOT THIS 💖

Love this App!. I was having a real problem with drinking water on a daily basis. It became so bad in fact that I developed kidney stones along with salivary stones and I was told I was depleting myself of water and with this I was allowing my body to build waste in my kidneys and drying up my salivary glands at the same time, leaving me an absolute painful mess. Soooooo...I went through a lot of water intake apps and hated all of them, until I found THIS adorable app. I am better at taking care of others than I am taking care of myself, so I drink water because I want my plants to grow and not dehydrate like I’ve often left myself. I love these cute animations, their helpful tips, the fact that the app gauges how much water you should be drinking, and how it rewards you for meeting your daily goals and checking in every day. I have stayed with this app for a little over a month now and I no longer have my salivary stones, passed my kidney stones, my skin had never felt or looked more radiant, and I actually lost a little weight because I’m not drinking so many sodas anymore (🌱💙there isn’t much room for other drinks when you have to feed your plant water💙🌱) A huge thank you to this app and its developers for helping me find something to maintain my health through my water intake💙

It actually is working for me!!!. So, I'm TERRIBLE at reminding myself to drink water throughout the day. Other apps I'd feel pushed to reach my goal and sometimes I drink too fast then end up feeling sick after. I stopped using those apps because of that issue. With this app, I like that it reminds me of when I'm drinking too much and it'll advise me to slow down. Which is fantastic, because it would actually notify me to right at that point where if I kept drinking the water at that pace, I'd instantly start feeling sick. So, I like that it tells me exactly before I start feeling sick to slow down. And I love the music!!!! The plants are adorable!! (Even the affordable ones!) If you can't decide on a plant at first, try going to google and searching it. That's what I did. 😋 Now, I don't normally one-star rate apps like these, but this one I feel really deserves the whole five stars! Great job, guys!!!! 💖

Love it! But.... I adore using plant nanny two to track my hydration! To me, staying hydrated is just as important to keeping up my mental health alongside my physical health. Plus, the cute plants just make me want to take care of them!! My only only only issue at this point is when the app day-in and day-out tells me to SLOW DOWN! While I appreciate the importance of this lesson (I have overdone it myself a few times) I wish there was a way to turn this notification off. Much of the time, I’m at work and can’t look at my phone (someone’s always around the corner at just the wring time to catch you) so I log most of my water after my shift, when I know that I drank two or three fills of my reusable bottle. But logging it and getting the repetitive shout that I shouldn’t drink to fast just takes away a smidgen of the joy there is in watering these cute little babies. I hope y’all keep it up with the awesome apps and updates!

great app but really really annoying. i absolutely love this app and it definitely helps me stay on top of my water intake (though it would be nice to be able to change our water goal since not everyone is the same, or edit the clock because my day ends at 1am, not midnight), but the way the ad for subscription pops up EVERY SINGLE TIME you water your plant after opening the app gets me closer and closer to deleting it. i would be more inclined to subscribe if it didn’t shove it in my face so incessantly, as the limited edition plants definitely call to me, but i tire very quickly of being reminded about the subscription service literally every time i open the app to track a drink. im reminded plenty whenever i see all the plants unavailable to me. its overkill how often it pops up. i now tend to water my plant then exit the app as soon as possible to avoid the irritating reminder. please consider slowing the ad rate down.

Amazing! I still have a problem, though.. So usually, i don’t write reviews, but i love this app. i actually find myself kind of excited to drink water in order to see my lil plants grow. if it’s noon and i haven’t drank any water yet, i make sure to plan it out in a way that i will reach my limit before midnight. everything, from the soundtrack to the graphics are amazing. my one and only complaint (hence the 4 stars) is that i WISH there were an easier/more convienient way to change cup size. right now, everytime my cup size differs, i have to go to settings, change the size, etc. i wish that there were a much easier way to do that. so instead of 16>8>16, there might be a 1/2 serving option, so it’d go 16>.5>etc. an easier and quicker way to change the cup size without going to settings is ideal, but it’s a small deal, so i am still leaving a good review.

Just short of perfection. I love this app, it has helped me to monitor my water intake and at times forced me to drink water when I would rather be drinking something else, all in an effort to keep my little planties happy. I have 3 issues that I hope would be addressed in the near future. Firstly I would like to change the amount of water I drink, I don’t always drink 240ml. Secondly, I would like to be able to use my watch to log when I drink, its way easier to do and a lot more convenient. This ties into my final issue, when I’m driving, or otherwise engaged, I drink water, but I’m unable to log it(the watch can assist with this). When I do get a chance, it’s a bit annoying to get a warning message about drinking too much water every time. I hope the developer can find a workaround for this. That being said, I love this app, it’s my favorite water tracker and I have no intention of switching to any other. Highly recommended

Best Water Tracker. I have a very hard time drinking water and used many apps but this app has really helped like no other. I don’t really think about myself not having water but when I see my poor little plant without water it makes me so sad and then that makes me think about how I myself am a dehydrated plant. It turns drinking water almost into a game. Maybe it is because the plants are so cute, maybe it’s because the app is so user friendly or maybe it’s because my ADHD brain just needs that ding when I finish a bottle of water and log it but regardless I have used it for over a year now and I will continue to do so. I even paid for the premium subscription after about six months and I don’t usually subscribe to things like this. Let me be clear though a subscription is not at all necessary. You still get access to a lot of cute plants and the ability to set your daily goal even if you don’t. I love it. You’ll love it. Get it. Stay hydrated.

Great app for motivation to drink water!. I really enjoy this app because it helps motivate me to drink water. If I go too long without water, my poor little plant can become all dry and sad looking! I’m glad though that this doesn’t kill the plant. All you need to do to fix it to drink a bit of water, and it perks right back up. You can make it remind you to drink at certain intervals, which is nice, but I think the most motivating part is taking care of your cute plant. The only thing I don’t like is that a HUGE part of the game/app can only be accessed when you subscribe to their services. But I understand, of course, that the developers have to make money. I kind of wish though that either the subscription was a little cheaper or that they used more one-time purchases instead of subscriptions. But the free features work just fine for what I need. Also, I genuinely enjoy this app enough to give it 5-stars, but be aware that you can get an in-app reward for giving 5 stars, so there will probably be more perfect reviews than not. But it really is a great app, so don’t let that deter you!

Great app. Cute app everytime you drink a glass your plant stays healthy and when you dont it starts to wilt. Kinda like a gigapet (90s reference) its a bit difficult for people just starting to drink water but it can get you to drink more than you would without it. Takes a full day or two without any water for your plant to die so just make sure you have notifications on so you dont accidentally forget to log your water intake. Also dont feel rushed into drinking entire amount each day it says I should drink 8 glasses everyday and I usually have 6 and my plants are still thriving and growing just maybe not as quickly as if I were to drink all 8. It takes like zero water for it to die so no pressure. Premium does not make a difference just gets you cooler plants and personalized notifications but not really worth the $70 in my opinion free version works perfectly fine and serves its purpose. Super cute flower creatures for a cute little dance just give it a little boop

I really love this app but cant just give it 5 stars yet!. I have suggestions that can improve this app while looking at this as an advertising design major. I see some pain points. There should be an option for people to change their drink log from the day previous if they forgot to log their drink intake. I had drank water the previous day but forgot due to assignments and cant log it in because it’s the next day. The app should also allow the ability for people to track an unconventional amount that is less than a cup, so like 3 ounces for example. Then that way they can see how much they actually drank in total and how much they need to make up a cup. If possible people should be able to track things other than water, such as tea. I know this is a water tracking app, but other ways of hydration exist. It would also be nice for people to see a whole chart of their water intake in a year and allow them to celebrate goals or encourage them to keep drinking water for the next year. Keeping a calendar system for people to check in on the year and months individually like the Apple calendar would be nice. The app itself is easy to use and I love the music, characters, and aesthetic. The app really does get me to drink water. These pain points however makes me want to keep looking for other habit apps that fulfill these things. Otherwise it’s great and I will continue using it. It is after all, the app that had me drinking the most compared to others! :)

So Motivating!!. This app has actually really helped me not only keep track of my water intake but also has greatly motivated me to drink even more water than I usually would. Normally I am so bad with drinking water throughout the day, but with this app I find myself drinking the right amount that my body needs almost every day. With the different quests you can complete and all the different plants you can unlock as you go on, this app does a great job of not only keeping you healthy but also letting you have fun as you discover new environments and new creatures in the process!!! I highly recommended it for the entire family (once I started using the app my family saw me using it and now literally everyone - from my parents of 40 years of age to my littlest sister of 8 - uses it as well!) It truly is an amazing app!

Useful and cute. I never used to be hydrated and rarely used to drink water. I would go days not drinking water and only drinking tea or coffee. This would lead to really bad dehydration headaches that would last all day. Finally, I decided to download PlantNanny. Thanks to PlantNanny, I always remember to drink at least one cup of water a day, and most days I drink six or more. I always have water with me now as I work. I also find the little plants that are offered to be very cute, and I like how each type of plant has a personality. I’m even considering paying for it, since I’ve been using PlantNanny religiously for four years. Anyway, whenever I recommend a water tracking app, this is the one I suggest. If you’re like me and need extra motivation to stay healthy, this is the app for you. This developer also makes a lot of other useful apps, too, and both PlantNanny and TDA have honestly improved my life.

Just 1 Request. Looks like a good app! I think it’s neat that we can now change our goal. Honestly, I never changed to this app till now because I didn’t wanna take the time to learn a whole new app interface, but y’all did a good job making it clean and new, yet give us users an experience that reminds use of the old app. I have only one request, that is, dark mode. If you could bring dark mode to the app, it would be incredibly helpful to me! I am visually impaired, meaning I have a hard time seeing stuff, especially text that isn’t white on black (dark mode) or inverted. If you could please make this change, it would allow me to use your app without having to use VoiceOver! Thank you for sharing your talent of app development with us through helping us be motivated to drink more water! Edit: I am also noticing VoiceOver doesn’t even work, if you added the ability to use your app with voice over, you could reach out to the visual impaired.

New system ruins the game. I’ve been using this app for years now, ever since the first app has been around, and I loved it. But recently they rolled out a new update that got rid of the currency to buy plants with (plants are “free” now, making them kinda boring to collect…) and the solar power to power up your plants. There’s very little reason to check out the greenhouse now except for the occasional pitiful amount of clovers your grown plants can give you. After this update, they REALLY want you to buy their subscription. Every time you log a glass of water, it needs to remind you to buy their sub (something that wasn’t a thing before). And also, a lot of the plants that used to be free (ie without subscription) are now locked behind a paywall, like the dandelion (my fav) and the rose. This whole thing has honestly made me disable auto updates for apps because I’m sick of companies making their apps worse for the sake of money… Very unfortunate that it had to end like this, but I don’t think I’m going to be using this app anymore…

Love it & Need it. I used to have the original version and it was super helpful. This one is a lot more comprehensive! I’ve recommended it to so many people because hydration is sooo important for our health but we tend to ignore it!! This app makes it hard to ignore between the reminders and your own personal drive to keep your little plant babies alive. I have a few things that I’d like to be changed, they’re just simple settings that could be easily adjusted and don’t put me off of the app at all. I try to drink at least 80oz of water a day even though it recommends 50oz; I’m a small person who is relatively sedentary, but I’m chronically ill so I need more water than other people my size. The only way I can increase my daily water goal on the app is to increase my weight and activity level in the settings, which is totally fine, but it would be ideal if it could calculate the minimum amount of water for your weight & activity level and then allow you the option to increase the OZ goal. Another ideal scenario would be the ability to record sips/gulps taken from a bottle/cup and then the plant actually gets watered when you finish the bottle/cup. I rarely chug 8oz of water at a time. The last thing is changing the profile picture, which currently isn’t an option. Overall though it’s really cute and well thought-out, and helps me reach my goals every day :)

(ง'̀-'́)ง(ง'̀-'́)ง(ง'̀-'́)ง. This app is amazing and I give it five stars because it helps remind me that I need to drink water and because the plants are so cute! The idea of this app is to help keep you hydrated and learn new things about your body like if you workout often you might need to drink more water than others. This app gives me good reminders and before I started this app I was dehydrated and I kept getting sick but with the reminder of drinking water, I can tell you I’m getting less sick and this app is helping me improve and when I work out it’s very helpful on telling me to stop and get some water. Now the plants, lord are they cute. I first started with the sunflower I believe and after I grew it to the max I was just so excited to keep getting more flowers and updating their little stump environments. This app is definitely helpful and useful when needing to know when you need to drink water, and it keeps imagination alive for kids and even adults. -byeee

So it actually helps & I love it😳. I love this app, & it’s helped a lot with motivation to hydrate. I have to drink a lot of water, but before I got this app I wasn’t doing it; I just didnt care. And i had been trying different solutions. I found this app a while back and put it on a list. I finally downloaded it a month-ish ago while thinking “its stupid to need an app to hydrate like im supposed to; this wont work.” but I was wrong. Not only has it helped, i look forward to updating my plant’s watering with how many bottles ive drank. The designs are adorable; I have a routine where I tap the plant 4x when I water it, and the sound melts my heart and it puts a smile on my face. It’s affordable too, like I’m not inhibited by the free version. I was kinda worried that thered be only 1 plant available with all these pro versions taunting me, but it’s balanced enough that this isnt the case. I also like that the plant grows like levels up so I look forward to seeing how the plant turns out. Thanks to all who make this app possible.

LOvE. I absolutely LOVE this app I never drink like any water but this may seem weird at first when you look at the app but when you get it it’s so exiting. It is like a full on game and it allows you to customise your plant and have different achievements for when you reach goals.

incredibly motivating!. As an individual who struggles with water intake this app has been a huge game changer for me. The gamification of the basic task, once found challenging by myself, has made such a positive impact in my life. From an amazing sound track/effects to saving up clovers for decorating, plant nanny has started a history for positive decision making for myself and many others.

Love it but can’t change pot. I love this app for motivation to drink my water. The plants are cute and I really enjoy using the app I’m sad at the moment that I can’t change the plant pots. I have tried tapping the pot, swiping, and I just can’t change it even though I have plenty of pots. Can this please be fixed? Also moving the plant to the tree holes when it’s finished is hard, the bubble with the spade doesn’t work properly and I have to click many times in different places of the bubble to be able to move it Edit: I just figured out how to change the pot once you’ve already planted the plant but not put it in the greenhouse, but I’d still like to be able to choose the pot as I plant it

Love everything about this ap!. Such a fun way to get your daily water intake. I’ve downloaded it on my kids’ devices too so the whole family are using it and staying healthy. Would love to see a study ap made by this company so that writers like myself can grow plants as we reach our goals and our children can do the same when it comes to studying.

Cute. It is cute and really help me to drink. Silly me, I need reminder to drink because I tend to forget the body needs of water. Thank you for creating such a useful apps. Besides, it has cute style too. I have a suggestion for you to add more expression that is when the seed receives water to express it with smile. Now the seed does not show it happy even when we give water to it. So please! Thank you!

Really good! This app helps me stay invested in drinking water. Thanks to this app I can remember to drink water! I have attention problems (I haven’t yet gotten diagnosed with ADHD yet but I will soon in on August 17th! Hopefully) but due to my attention that and my brain struggling with sustaining dopamine I lose interest in many thing! But this app fuels my dopamine coz it’s like tamagotchi!! That and pokemon.. (kind of) coz all of the pot creatures have 3 stages of maturity and I love it!! It keeps me invested!!

Plant nanny review. Hello!! This is absolutely the best body care app! Why? Because , it’s all about staying healthy and drinking water. But you get to tell the game what you goal is and it will say how many cups a day you will need to get your water goal. Also, you can unlock different plants and different pots!! Witch is also really fun! You can set a widget to see how much your body’s is full of water😀. One last thing about this amazing game is it tells you what’s good for your body and tips of different ways to drink water! Now I forgot to say, you can also name the plants WHATEVER you want . Like I could name mine flowers! And it will show up that the plant is named “flowers”😀. Thank you for reading this and have a wonderful day drinking water!! Bye 🚰😄

I love it!. Recently got it and am in love. This app is so cute, giving motivation and many different features. It is informative and reminds me to drink which I really need. I would love to see more of these types of apps for different fitness necessities. So glad I found it, high recommend!

Great App. I wish it didn’t cost so much, but even so it’s worth it as it improves my health and that is priceless! I had thought I was drinking enough water until I started tracking it, then I realised that some of the symptoms I had been experiencing were actually due to dehydration! Tracking the water helps me make it a priority. I do also count other healthy drinks such as smoothies/tea/soups as I can’t possibly drink enough water otherwise. Thank you for helping me improve my health!

Plant nanny. I love this game it helps me so much when I forget to drink my water it’s also very cute and lovely I love all the features u can buy for your plant like I just bought an electric face pot for my plant. I also like how you can add a widget to remind you, me personally I’ve got a widget on all of my screens so not matter what I’m looking for I remember to stay hydrated. Would recommend.

i love it tbh. i’ve been using Plant Nanny (the original) since 2018 and i love the app so much. i’ve finally saved up a bunch of seeds but the store wouldn’t open. after a week or so i went onto the app store and found out that it had been shut down! i downloaded Plant Nanny 2 and it is absolutely adorable. however, i would love some of the original plants to come back :}

Creative way to make people drink. This app gives me the incentive to drink enough everyday I’ve kept up for a whole month cause if you don’t drink regularly, your plants will be dehydrated too There are different glass sizes so I can adjust no matter how small the amount i’m drinking. The water goal is adjustable according to your weight, you approximately know how much water you should be drinking If there’s anything i didn’t like, it’s 1) the lag and crash sometimes, 2) it takes time to push the button to drink, making the intake not counted Being dehydrated was my normal before, now it’s a habit to grab a glass while poking my plants! The other app from 4desire, walkr is also a health game, 4desire really knows how to make pursuing healthy habits easy! - - - Small tip, you should try to grow 3 of same plants to fill one tree hole, 3 of a kind will give you a special combo room for that species, and more seed income than a room with different plants combination!

pre good. It’s pretty good! It works veryyyy well and especially with my ADHD it helps me remember to drink water because I have to feed my plant other wise it’ll die! :O it’s very entertaining and cute! And a simple way to get on a better mood and drink water :P thank you to the people who made this! RECOMMEND: I recommend making a feature (that’s free) so you can change the look of you plant. Like add blush or eyelashes or a cap or whatever..just an idea that you might consider!! QUESTION: how do I know when I can buy new plants? I have one plant ‘devils plant’ but I’m not sure how to get new ones.

It’s helping me get the water I need!. I have always struggled to drink water, and would maybe have 1 cup a week, if that. Although Plant Nanny isn’t the only reason I’ve improved my water intake, it has been a huge step! I’m now getting a bottle a day, and plan to slowly increase the amount I need until I am drinking what I should be every day! Also the plants are adorable and make me happy.

Cute but….. I really like the idea of promoting healthy habits using a game, however too much of it is locked behind a subscription wall. It still works, but some of the more tailored options are locked. I would rather pay for the game as a one off payment rather than have to use a subscription.

The App Was Good Until The Newest Update. I’ve been using this app for many years now, and it’s been an absolute awesome tool to help my hydration. I have a streak of over 700 days. I used to organise my gardens in an organised pattern, because it soothes me and kept me engaged with the app. Now they’ve hidden all the plants behind a paywall? It was fine when they added new plants that you had to pay for from the beginning, but taking the features I already had away from the users is completely distressing and alarming to me (I am neurodivergent, and need apps like this to adhere to a structure to help me healthy). In the past I would rate this app 5 out of 5, but because of that awful decision to grab more money out of users I’m rating it a 1 out 5. However, the new achievements are good. Just give us back our plants please :(

Quick question. I’ve been using the plant nanny app for a while now and didn’t know there was a second. I love the app and it as a great unique concept, only thing is I’ve just got the second app and now I’m back to square one. Is there any chance or way I could resume my progress from plant nanny to plant nanny 2? If this isn’t possible yet, consider this a suggestion, otherwise, great game, awesome concept. I love it

Free version has good features!. I first downloaded and was expecting constant pestering to upgrade to subscription. Pleasantly surprised to find a good range of features, good functionality and a cute free app that effectively encourages you to drink water. I like the long-term level building and greenhouse to keep the fun and sense of achievement once the initial novelty wears off. My skin has improved immeasurably from drinking so much water (even had people comment on it!). I also like that it doesn’t “fail” you if you don’t meet the days water goal - after all, any water is better than none! My only critique would be that it would be good to be able to input workouts - sometimes it tells you not to drink water too quickly even when exercising as there’s no way to log this. All up, a functional, effective, motivational and cute little app that truly encourages you to drink water. 🌻

So much fun. This app has been so much fun, ever since I got it I try to stay hydrated more, the notifications really help and I’ve been feeling a lot more active. As the plant would grow it was so much fun to send her pictures each time the would evolve

Great Game. Really great, but simple game that ensures you keep up with your daily water intake.. tbh I’ve been drinking more water than I was before! It’s very simple and cute with what seems to be some decent progression throughout the game with different seeds to buy and plant, quests & incentives, accessories for said plant (e.g. pots), daily rewards, and more! Personally, I don’t think the subscription is worth it but that’s my personal opinion. I just can’t see myself paying over $11 dollars a month (or $98 a year) on this game for things like extra in game currency, decorations, buddies and unique plants. The game provides enough to keep you busy without the need of buying/spending real, hard earned money. At the end of the day it works exactly how it’s designed and it’s fun!!! It really had made me go out of my way to drink more water and I had a good time doing it.

Tracking with Fun!. Usually when using a tracker, you might be under the impression that you are being forced to do something. However this app makes it’s fun and exciting to tracking your daily water intake! Definitely recommend this app to people that want their chore of drinking more water to be turned into a daily reward that they look forward too.

Don’t kill your plants!. I’ve tried other water trackers but I find this one the most motivating as I hate seeing my plants sad! The only improvement I would like to see is the notifications. Quite often I will just have a drink and then get a notification that the plant is thirsty because it is based on time, not the amount of water consumed. Plus, when you go to drink more than one cup at a time, the plant then complains that you are overwatering it! So make sure you update regularly throughout the day rather than all at the end like I used to.

Great motivation. The motivation this app gives you by growing and raising your own plant is very open to those who are into gaming. The concept of trying to level up or improve the health of your chosen plant can really affect your perception on how much water you should drink. This app has changed my entire view on consuming water and I really recommend this app to those who do not drink a lot of water and are into games.

Great!. This app is amazing! It makes it fun and easy to drink enough water each day. It is very accurate and helped me hydrate. On top of all of that, my plant is adorable and really convinces you to drink more water. though I have only had this app for a short time, it is proving to help.

Really great!. This is a very good app for all ages but I would be best for kids as it is very encouraging for them to drink lots of water. The app doesn’t require a subscription of any kind, though you will need to have premium to grow all the plants you want, but other than that is is a wonderful app and I really love it! ❤️

Cutest way to stay hydrated. I regularly forget to drink water so I wanted to find an app that could remind me to drink water throughout the day. I have been using this app, I love how the plant acts sad when you haven’t drunk any water, the more water you drink the more your plant grows and you can earn upgrades, I want to drink water to see my little guy grow. I definitely recommend

Pretty good. Plant nanny is actually pretty good, it does everything it says it will, you can grow your little plant and look after it, all while being reminded to drink water too. The only problem is that sometimes it doesn’t switch over to the next day, so you will drink your first glass of water and then it will say you are drinking too much. But other than that, it’s great

Plant nanny review. I rate plant nanny 5/5 because I have been getting less headaches and getting dehydrated all because my main goal is to grow my plant and finish up my cups of water goal. It’s such a reward seeing my plant grow and thrive even if it’s a virtual plant. I would recommend this app to anyone who is interested in getting healthier and happier. To the creator/s, I would like to suggest and update of any kind.

5 stars to receive an item in the app. The honest part: Its a good app and has helped improved my water intake, kind of gets in my head that i need to water my plant Notifications are a bit repetitive and say the same things

New Version is not user friendly. The animations are very slow. When you pick up clovers there’s two animations and they stay on screen until you tap them to go away. They should automatically disappear after a quick delay. The pop-up to subscribe after logging the first water of the day is taking away the mindfulness of the app from the users. I lost my daily streak because I didn’t feel like using the app to only be bombarded with subscriptions ads and slow animations.

great app :). It’s a great app, I like it a lot because it motivates me to drink more water. But sometimes I get the notification while I’m doing something and I can’t take a break from it, therefore I can’t drink then and I usually forget afterwards. A cool feature would be if there was a remind me later button, that reminds you again in 10 minutes or so, kind of like a snooze button. But overall I love this app and it’s helped me become a healthier person 💗

Cuteness overload. I honestly think this app is amazing. It’s easy to use, and efficient. It has goals and tasks to complete which makes you want to level up your plant, and to do so you need to drink water. Basically you get rewarded with not only an adorable plant but with little achievements and badges too. It’s adorable and I can’t wait to have all of the plants because I wanna see their fully grown forms!

Amazing water tracker. 🌱💧I just started using it two days ago but I feel so much more active and healthy because I’m drinking a great amount of water. 💧🌱 🌿💦 Love how it’s a game to grow your plant as big as you can as well as reminding you to drink water! I love how doesn’t let you remind you during 10pm till 8am 🌿💦

Fun way to lock in hydration habit. Well designed app and free version gets the job done when it comes to building a better habit of drinking water. Subscription is way too expensive to temp me though. Offering a paid app version rather than a monthly subscription would be much more likely to get a purchase from me.

Amazing app. I love this app so much it helps me so much and I’m not the type of person who drinks water regularly so this is so helpful for me it’s just a little bit of fun but one thing which keeps bothering me is that every time it only give notifications after a long period of time like 2 hours or something and I personally think we should be able to pick what time period it should notify us to drink water, for a short period of time such as 10 minutes to one hour but overall this is a great app! I recommend it.

Love this app!. This isn’t the first time I’ve downloaded Plant Nanny, each time I get a new phone it’s one of the first things I download. It helps remind me to stay hydrated which is good because I struggle with executive dysfunction from ADHD and autism, but is more than just a reminder app. The fact it gives you a chance to help and watch a little seedlings grow into various plants makes it even better.

I mean, nice! I was also kind of forced to do this for a plant pot. If you like cute plants and can actually remember to go back into your phone to record your water drinking amount - then this is hashtag a good game for you. On the other hand, it’s more ..... ‘I just want to grow a cute plant’. But, I am keeping up, so I guess it deserved a five star (aka from only nice people like me who want a free but you have to review it a five star plant pot). I would actually rate it a 3. Reasoning? Nothing much than recording how much water you’ve drunk. um.... your welcome? Oh, and add some cooler things to it. Makes the game more pleasing for younger kids to have a go at drinking lots of water but also playing with the plant and really connecting to it. A bye-bye!

Amazing. Plant nanny has encouraged me to drink way more. I found that it cleared my skin up really easily after using it for a few weeks. Definitely the right way to go if you are having trouble with acne. The only problem I have with it is verifying my email for foreshire play. My email verification notification on mail expired, so I need to know how to verify my email. Other than that plant nanny if by far my favourite app.

Amazing app. I love this app so much it is so helpful and cute!! I downloaded this gam was a reminder to drink more water but it turned out to be better than I thought it tracks how well you have done over weeks and also rewards you with clovers with these clovers you can customise the pot of your plant. Not only that but there is a wide range of different plants that you can choose from such as cactus, rose, sunflower and a lot more but my personal favourite is the devils ivy great app recommend

Plant Nanny - A very useful hydration app.. Initially I was using the older plant nanny app, and in comparison this app is much better as it has nice animations for the plants and takes notice of the water much more effectively. While this app doesn’t have as large of a range of plants in my opinion, it has a more interesting garden and is a more interactive (for example, how you can “level up” your garden and make animals appear. Additionally, the tips that the plants give on how to stay hydrated are very useful. The only thing I would prefer is if the app would have a better system of notification for when you need to drink water, as it only notifies you within time frames (like every 4 hours), while I think it would be more useful to notify you when you should actually drink some water - like when you first wake up you could have a notification on your phone that would remind you, then one between then and lunch time, then one roughly an hour after an assume lunch time (as the app does say that you should drink a glass 30 mins after lunch to aid digestion) and so on and so forth. Overall, a very useful app that has helped me stay hydrated.

Helping with Dehydration. I’ve been really dehydrated recently, and I had this app a few years ago and it really helped, but got a new phone and never re-downloaded it (until a few days ago) and it has really helped! Thank you!!!

Super cute, nice motivator, relatively flexible.. Have already told all my workmates about it and got them to download the app (bar one but I am working on them 😜). It’s cute, I don’t feel the urge to pay money but will with time to support the app devs. I appreciate the flexability of altering the size of the default cup to the size of my water bottle so I can just note when I have finished it (less interactions through the day that I don’t need to have). I do sometimes wonder about the amount of water it recommends drinking though, it can sometimes seem like a lot? I don’t know if I have a very inaccurate notion of how much water I should be drinking in a day, but I wonder if there is maybe space for assumption of water content in foods and so maybe a slight reduction in recommended water consumption through the day (maybe a max min range?) cause when I have shown it to others that’s the biggest hurdle they find in terms of wanting to download and keep using the app.

Apple Watch etc features too basic. You can only view your plant on the Apple Watch app, you can't enter that you have consumed water or how much etc, which makes it pretty useless. Even an iPhone widget for quickly recording consumption would be an improvement, or via pop up Force-Press on screen... something... Uninstalled it in favour of WaterMinder which has better features. If you can be bothered opening the app everytime you record a drink, Plant Nanny is a pretty cute / decent app on iPhone.

Fun and useful for me. I am honestly loving this app and have recently subscribed. I tend to forget to adequately meet my basic needs when I just have a busy day or something on my mind. This app keeps me motivated with reminders to drink some water, which in turn feeds my cute plants! Any gardening/plant enthusiasts (or anybody else, really) who struggle to stay well hydrated should definitely give this a go.

Cute but not very modifiable. Cute concept but requires you to set a glass size and that’s it. You can’t add 250ml here and 400ml later in the day etc. it’s glass by set glass if whatever size you’ve set the glass at and if you modify the glass size it changes all the glass sizes for the day. Likewise you can’t edit your water goal for the day from the recommended intake (at least I can’t find where to), meaning you have to either not meet the goal, or drink to that goal. And my goal is calculated at like 3.5L which seems excessive.

Luv this. This is a very useful app, however there are a few things I would find useful if they were added. One of these is being able to add a custom water volume on the main screen without going and changing one of the cup sizes. Also if the cup icons were customisable, it would make them easier to recognise at a glance.

Plant Nanny2. I have been enjoying using Plant Nanny for years, and when I saw Plant Nanny 2, I had to try it out. Plant Nanny 2 is cute but I prefer the original Plant Nanny. The original Plant Nanny has a better variety of plants, pots & backgrounds. And once you get a pot or background, it is always available to use. Unfortunately Plant Nanny 2, does not have a big variety of plants to choose from. You can’t pick your background, the game picks it for you. You only get one use out of a purchased pot, instead of it always being available to use like the original Plant Nanny. As for the creatures, so far it keeps giving the same creature over and over again, how are you supposed to collect each creature if the game won’t give you the next creature for that garden??? I’ve used Plant Nanny 2 for a few months now, hoping I would start enjoying it, but the more I use it, the more I get disappointed with it. I wish that Fourdesire would continue to upgrade and maintain the original Plant Nanny because it is a much better program, and it is the game I prefer.

Cool. I think I should be able to access it from a watch but very encouraging at first it’s a bit hard to drink so much water but this is a life changing app. The plant doesn’t really grow even though I’ve had it for like 2 days so if that could show phenomenal growth more people will be hooked. Overall a great app

Made a big difference to my H2O intake. At first I thought that this app would be just like all the other water apps that I’ve used, constant and pressing, always nagging you to drink and keep on drinking, but I didn’t see even an ounce of something like that in this app. It inspired me to even make a log in my journal to keep track of my water Intake. Great app!

Highly Recommend. I absolutely love this app as it gives me a friendly reminder to drink water and it motivates me to keep my water intake up by having my own little plants to grow and if I don’t drink water then my plants don’t grow or they die. If you want to get into habit of drinking more water than I highly recommend this app!!

Plant Nanny 2. I’ve been using the original Plant Nanny for years, and have many plants and quests in progress that I don’t want to give up- is there a way we can merge our original PN with this new app? I also agree with other reviewers- please bring back the ability to log multiple different cup volumes! I have my original PN set up so I can easily track glasses that I use regularly. I think this could be a great app with some tweaks, and I’m loving the new plant selection so far!

Not sure about this. How can you expect people to rate an app in the first 5 mins of downloading?

So far not a fan. The only thing the old app needed was more plants and pots. This update seems to have less?!? Not as user friendly, too many taps to change cup size, etc. Also have almost 80 plants in the old version and don’t want to start over! Edited: this app has been glitchy from the start. Still prefer the original over a year later.

It’s fun. It’s fun but you can’t forget to log a day. Also, they removed the rewards for people who pay so I don’t see a point in paying for this app anymore.

Plant🪴. My little plant told me im drinking too fast im offended

It’s okay. I thought the free version got three personalities but no. Apparently you have to pay through the nose to get any of them. It doesn’t really work for me, I’m not chugging the amount of water it pushes at me. I changed it to 150 ml but the most reminders I can get is every two hours. A reminder an hour might be more useful for me. Anyways I just give the plant water and don’t bother drinking. Also it’s annoying how long to have to push the button to water the damn thing.

my opinion. plant nanny is a great game! just maybe the things could be a bit cheaper….

Ok. I can’t figure out how to play on Apple Watch and also half the features need a premium version and of course it cost money for the premium

Cute. I wish more things were available without subscription tho

Cute!. It’s generally a cute app, their subscription unlocks a bunch of fun and quirky features that make everything so much more fun and engaging. But definitely not features I would pay for 🤦‍♀️ (E.G.adding a widget to your phone, giving your plant, a personality) it’s not even like you get a full nutrition and exercise plan. When you get the subscription, you just get the fun features lol. Also, they have an app for the Apple Watch but all it will do is show you how much water you drink so far, it doesn’t let you log water intake so it just sits on your watch doing some thing you could see on your phone or otherwise know off the top of your head

It helps track in a cute way. I’m still looking for something I enjoy more I fall on and off with this one

Cute. Cute tracker. Would be better if money wasn’t involved

V 4.6.3 issue. Cannot get bonus clovers or sunshine, ads won’t load

Nice. Is there a free option in the app where you dont have to pay to play?

Best water reminder app out there. A great app with an incredible UI design while offering Apple Watch app. Might be better with an integration of watchface complication.

Hellishly Expensive. Free version of the app is great. Does it’s job well. I like it enough that I’d be willing to pay for the premium version to support the developers, but $90 for a year or $10 monthly??? For what is essentially a tally chart? In what world does this app have better value than Netflix? Not worth it.

YES. This is already so helpful and ive had it for 4 hours

Watch support. Great app. You should be able to log consumption from your Apple Watch. Only staying with it for the cute plants

Lost interest. I used to live this app. Even as the free version user I still had plants to look up to. Now the free version has nothing and I lost my progress of plants that used to be free before the update. :( I would pay but the price is really high for what this is: a fancy tracker. Other free options are out there. No more interest since so few plants and no point in paying so much

A lot to pay for not much for free. The concept of the app is nice but as usual these days you have to pay for almost everything

Money money money. You need to subscribe to get anything.

Love but the subscription too high. Love the app but the subscription price is way to high for what you get out of it. It’s not worth it. But the concept of the app is so cute and great for people like me with ADHD

So bad. You have to pay for everything

No app watch interaction?. Hey. It could be perfect if it let my Apple Watch submits a log too

It’s helpful. It’s helpful, but also a lot of adds and prices are ludicrous for what it offers

Great app but premium is way too expensive. The app is wonderful and has many great options but I find that the price is set too high for the premium subscription.

Very helpful, however... This app has been very helpful for reminding me when to stay hydrated. It’s fun and helps keep me motivated by giving me different plants to take care of, however recently with the new updates I have been losing different features of the app that were provided before. For example there are many different plants to choose from even if you are not subscribed but with the recent update there are way less to choose from and plants that I could choose before like the dandelion I now have to be subscribed to get. It’s a little annoying and frustrating. It just seems a little unfair.

Slow app with too many pop ups to subscribe. App takes a while to open/load. Don’t like their new update where there are frequent pop ups to ask you to subscribe. They really try hard to push the premium features and it’s annoying for a free user like me.

I don’t like drinking water. It made me drink water

Really helps me stay on top of my water consumption. I drink almost my daily amount everyday because I’m so concerned about my plant 🥹… This was my review before the update, I’m honestly ready to delete the app. They changed everything, every time you drink water and water your plant you get an alert to subscribe it’s awful. My friend has already deleted her app. Make some changes, because this sucks

Great app. Really good for tracking water intake can we bring getting acorns from the tree hole back to buy plants it feels like I don’t have to work to get the good ones anymore 🩷🩵✨🌴🌅🌸

Love it but. It should also have a button for when ur sick, to remind u to drink more water than ur daily dose to help ur body heal

Was good…. This app was fantastic before the update. I loved it and used it every day for months. However, they updated it, and now half the plants that were previously available without subscription are now paid, and getting adds every time I water my plant. Frustrating.

No collect all seeds. I need that feature even if its a premium option as long as its a 1 time payment

Make iWatch compatible. It would be nice to be able to actually water the plants from the iWatch app.

It looks great. Exactly as it says it is…. Just wish I didn’t have to spend $10 a month for the plant to have personality and be that fun app it’s supposed to be. So far a turn off, but see how the next week goes

it’s not free. the old app was 100% free and now they’ve added a bullcrap subscription service. very annoying.

Cute. Cute but I don’t understand why people want to spend money on that kind of app.

It is okay.. I would enjoy this app more if it wasn’t so expensive to subscribe. It seems pretty steep for what it is but that is just my opinion.

Don’t bother. Requires a subscription plan. Only tracks cups of water rather than a more precise amount or other drinks.

Great help. I never drink water but I don’t wanna kill my plants

Non- subscriber review. Less available without payment… could be a much better app otherwise

Enjoy it but expensive. I like the app but it’s expansive for what you get

Don't want to subscribe. It's annoying to always see the cool plants you could have if you subscribe. Love tracking my water but if I can't have the cool plants keep 'em to yourself!

The original was better. Please make it so you can track previous days! I sometimes forget to track my water (when im at school and can’t track for example). Also the limited cup choices can be annoying…

Stop. Stop messing with my app. Loved it for years. I don’t want to subscribe to it . Leave it alone

Good at reminding me to drink…. But not a fan of the most recent update. I hate how now every time I log water, it automatically pops up a screen full of ads or pressures me to subscribe. I’m supposed to pay $10 per month for this?? Absolutely not.

Price too high. Too expensive to subscribe.

Was better before. Used it in the past with way more free options available. Now its all adds and extra purchases which make it not as fun.

Really cute. I just got this app yesterday but I didn’t have the time to use it till today and it’s probably one of the cutest apps I’ve ever seen. I don’t really need it as much as other ppl because I drink a moderately good amount of water, but I got anyways just for the cute plants. So far, I don’t think getting clovers (the currency in the game) is as hard as most games. There’s an option to watch adds for them (which doesn’t bother me cuz it’s a cute app) and you can earn them from rewards. There’s also nice calm music and a cute click sound when you press buttons too. I didn’t really understand how much water was in a cup and I got confused when I was trying to water my plant lol. I kept tapping and holding the water button when I took a sip but then I’d reset my watering to 0 because I didn’t hold it long enough. Anyways, you’re supposed to press and hold after you’ve drunken 240 ml and if you don’t know how much that is, sorry I can’t help you cuz I don’t know either 🤡. Luckily my water bottle has the little numbers, so I know when I’ve drunken that much. So I recommend learning how much that is if you want your watering to be more accurate. Overall, it’s a cute app and not too complicated, so I’d recommend.

Cute and effective!. I’ve always had a habit of forgetting to drink enough water and this app has really helped. The only thing that made it hard for me was trying to jump right into drinking 100 oz of water every day after drinking maybe a quarter of that most days for years. I don’t think my body was actually absorbing most of it. I ended up changing the settings to the lowest weight/activity level and slowly brought the settings closer to my actual weight and activity level. It made it a lot easier to both ease into the habit and make sure my body was getting the most out of it. Plus the art is super cute and I’m enjoying having a virtual garden since I’m in an apartment with a cat that gets into everything and can’t have a garden in real life right now.

Thx for the fun way to remember to drink water!. This app was used as a suggestion from my assistant coach to help track a drinking water challenge our volleyball team was going to collectively participate in. It worked! Players were excited to send pics of their plants, and had everyone name their plants. It’s several weeks later and after our competition is done, and half of the team is still using the app, including myself. I would love if there was a setting to swap out the “drinking too fast” warning. Sometimes I drink water through the day and I’d like a chance to catch up after work. Another amazing positive about the app, is that the suggestion of other health apps got me going on Walkr to track my steps. I’m addicted to that app as well. Thx for helping promote healthy living with some fun games!

A bit over complicated now. I remember downloading this app a few years back and it was the best decision of my life! I ended up getting all the plants and then I didn’t have much of a goal anymore so I deleted the app. I’ve been having trouble meeting my water goal as of lately, so I remembered this app and downloaded it again, but in my honest opinion there are far too many things going on inside the app with the acorns and the clovers and the doubling points and the ladybug with the gifts, and I would prefer to just have it simple like before. But I know a lot of people still enjoy this version. I haven’t been successful at all in reaching my goals because I don’t care about these plants as much 😅 oh well though, it is what it is

A fabulous app!. This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed an app on the App Store and by gosh is this app worth it! It’s fun, the graphics are adorable, it’s educational and has helped me so much with my water intake! After a little while it becomes second nature to use and keep updated throughout the day. There are so many ways to customize and you don’t even have to pay anything, unless you want special perks! I don’t have a subscription and I’ve had the app I think for a year and a half or so and I’m grateful every day! If you’re doubtful, just go ahead and get it! It’s so worth it! I promise this review was not paid for etc 😅 I’m just an excited user!

Great!!!. Plant Nanny is amazing and helps me keep track of how much water I need to drink. I've been needing to drink more water and Plant Nanny helps me and motivates me. You can choose a plant and it starts out as a seed and as you continue to water it, it grows! You put your weight into the app and it tells you how much water you need to drink each day! It will give you a certain amount of cups of water you need to drink a day. Once you have drank a cup of water, you hold down a button with a water droplet and it waters your plant! You continue to do this as the day goes on and your plant will start to grow. If you don't water you'r plant frequently, it will slowly due. So, the app makes sure you drink enough water.

Plant Nanny is a great app!. Plant Nanny helps you keep track of how much water you drink in a day. Every human being is supposed to get 8 glasses of water a day. Your body is 70% made of water. You put in your weight and how active you are to get your personal recommended water intake. Once you know how much water you have to drink per day you choose a plant and a pot. Throughout the day you drink your cups of water after each cup you add it to your plant. Eventually the plant will grow. As your plant grows you get coins to buy more plants and pots. This app has helped me a lot I would recommend it to everyone. One thing I don’t like about this app is that when you turn your notifications on they send way too much. Another thing I don’t like about this app is that at the start not all plants are free. But over all I love this app! Please consider getting Plant Nanny!

AMAZEBALLS. i got this app because i needed to keep track of the amount of water i’m drinking. i was super dehydrated to the point where i had frequent headaches and more dry skin than usual. this app keeps me motivated mainly because it’s about taking care of a plant, which in a way makes me want to drink water as well. i have a 32 oz bottle that i carry around with me and have a set goal of how much to drink a day. now i can say i’ve been drinking the correct amount of water for almost 14 days!!! it may not seem like much but it’s a big achievement for me considering that i usually stop drinking water after like 2 days of drinking water consistently. i now have almost no headaches and most of my dry skin is becoming more moisturized. i’m so proud of myself and so is the rest of my family. I LOVE YOU PLANT NANNY!

Highly recommend!. If you have trouble remembering to drink enough water in a day, then plant nanny should be very helpful. This app helps me to drink more water than I ever would have otherwise, and it makes it a little more fun, too. One thing I wish it had was the ability to retroactively add water to previous days (since sometimes I forget to record it on the day). I also wish that you could see exactly how much water you drank in previous days by clicking the day in addition to the bar graph instead of just estimating from it, but I’m only nitpicking here. Overall, it’s a great app that rewards you for drinking the water you need by letting you earn cool new plants, new pots, etc. along the way

Great way to stay motivated. This app is so cute and the interface is simple and easy to use. I had Plant Nanny when it was still in its most basic form and years later I decided to redownload it and try the premium version with the free trial. I will be keeping the paid version because since I’ve had it I’ve been drinking more water than I need everyday and it’s great. Staying hydrated is especially important in the record temperatures our world has been experiencing and it has a huge impact on your daily health and wellbeing. This app does wonders for helping to drink an appropriate amount and is great for tracking progress for how much water you have in a week, plus the little plants are adorable :)

Very cute game, a bit confusing at first. I love this little water tracker. There are some things I would suggest to make it better, like a more in depth tutorial at the beginning. It was really difficult for me to figure out where everything was, like the flower pot store and how to change the cup size you drank. I want to add another plant but im not sure how or if I even can. I also still have no idea how to use that room you find when you go lower on the tree, no matter where I tap it tells me nothing. I also think you should add something for different drink types, like coffee, tea, milk, and juice because those also contribute to your daily water intake(but please don’t make this a premium feature, premium is also a bit pricey in my opinion). I love the animations and it has definitely encouraged me to drink more water!

Cute and Easy. I love the fact that it has a widget and I can easily log my progress. Also love the cute plants, their ability to sing and the nursery. Not big on the whole subscription thing. I am willing to pay a one time fee for app but I am really put off by subscriptions. However, love the fact that it is still usable as a free app and I have the option to purchase items if I wish. The only thing I would recommend to creator is maybe being able to change the way the widget looks. Like instead of an outline of a body, using a cute hart, cat, bunny, car, Batman or whatever to make it more customizable on your Home Screen widget. So far, loving the app.

Really cute!!. This is a really cute game! I remember the original. I have to say it definitely helps me stay hydrated and remember to drink water. The visual of the plant being dehydrated when you yourself are is very motivating and illustrative. The only thing I would change is the amount of things to do for free versions. Yes, the subscription comes with more and a lot of fun things to collect! But giving a little bit of that to the free users will definitely make them realize the worth of the subscription and can draw more users to using the game! Overall though I’m satisfied with what the game is currently at, it’s definitely achieving its purpose! Thank you creators!

I love my little plant..a little too much. I downloaded this app Bc I had a teacher in highschool who talked about it a lot. Well now that I’m in my mid-30s and my water intake is close to that of anything living in a desert I thought you know what I’ll try it. (also my husband threatened to divorce me again if I didn’t drink more water) Now that I have it I CANT STOP DRINKING WATER. Yesterday I drank 5 and a half 16oz bottles of water which is way more than I even drink in a month! I mean I go through at least that many bottles of Jack a week! Needless to say that virtual plant is wicked. I can’t tell if it’s my motherly emotions kicking in or if it’s just a thing I’ll do for two days and get bored. Either way it’s getting me to drink more water and my husband loves me again! Thanks plant nanny!

Saved me in college!!!. I love Plant Nanny SO MUCH!!! I’ve recommended it to all my friends. When I first started college, I was so overwhelmed by all the deadlines and new responsibilities that I almost completely stopped drinking water. I ended up with really bad headaches from dehydration. Plant Nanny is perfect because I still forget to take care of myself sometimes, but I will ABSOLUTELY take care of an adorable little animated plant. They smile! They make cute music! They even grow!! My plant has only wilted one time, and I got so disappointed in myself that I stopped what I was doing to fill up my waterbottle and drink. Prioritizing hydration is completely new for me! I love it!! TLDR: If you’re too stressed to deal with self-care, maybe you can care for a cute plant!!

So close to being great. I really like this ideas. BUT, there are a few things. I need more flexibility in the reminders. It only gives you every 2, 4, or 6 hours. And doesn't let you adjust the times. It will remind you from 8am-10pm. I start my day at 5 and go to be well before 10. It lets you make custom times so I figured I’d take the time and set up one hour intervals only to find out it only lets you had a few and that’s it. I’d like to be able to set my own time intervals and my own time parameters. Another thing is...it only allows me to drink 2 cups of water at a time. So if I forgot to log it an hour ago, I can’t log a few extra to make up for it. It tells me it’s not safe to drink too much water at one time and won’t let me log it. That’s really annoying. But the visual of the plant is definitely a great motivator. I just hope they tweak it.

Bring back the original!. All water tracker apps pale in comparison to the original Plant Nanny. The new graphics in this version are not as cute, the app itself is not as intuitive—it doesn’t need more game interface technicalities. It just needs to work, and work intuitively. (Why are there only three extra cup options when the old one could customize so many?) I liked the simplicity of the old one and the windowside context the plant was in. I don’t want to switch to any other water tracker alternative, but the fact that the shop does not load on the old app and the app won’t receive anymore updates and patches makes it really hard to use the app the way it was intended. Please consider incorporating more familiar elements from the first version or updating the old app for those who appreciated the simplicity of the first version better.

I miss the old plant nanny. I really miss the old version of plant nanny. The graphics were better (trying to make the plants cuter actually made them look weirder…) it was easier to use different cup sizes, and I liked the “garden area” of the original better as well. Maybe I just don’t know how, but I liked being able to move my plants around in the garden to change up the aesthetic. And I know that having a subscription allows for profit, but I feel like as a free member, we miss out on a lot of plants and pots! You don’t have to give free members access to every plant and pot that a subscriber has access to, but at least being able to win them in the monthly challenges would be nice. There are still many things I like about Plant Nanny 2, but I definitely don’t like it as much as the original plant nanny :(

I like it almost as much as the original. The graphics are cute and more refined and animation is slicker but I’d like to be able to see the number of cups to drink without having to open the app. I’d also rather not have music play when I open the app to water the plant but don’t see a way to change that setting. The English translation is off which is not a big deal but is noticeable and seems would be an easy fix. Other than that, it’s fine. I’m actually running the old and this version in tandem because I’m not sure I don’t like the old version better. If the settings, plants, pots and the rest that I’d accrued on the older had carried forward with my last phone upgrade, I’d have likely just stayed with that one.

Love it. I have been using Plant Nanny since when I had a Samsung phone way back than, and let me tell you how happy I was too find out that I was able to get it on my iPhone also….. now if you are like me always on the go working hard and taking care of everyone besides yourself ( not eating or drinking) than this app great for you. Not only does it remind you too take care of you little cute plant but it reminds you that you need taking care of also. Since I have redownload this app to my phone I have been drinking more water throughout the day and running a marathon to the bathroom lol due to my body isn’t used to yet to all this water. I am happy that this app is helping me adding back water to my routine.

Super cute water app!. I’ve tried other water apps before and ended up ignoring them after awhile. Not this one! The cute plants in this app keep me engaged. I’ve been using it daily for almost 2 months now and will continue to do so. Love it! 2 cons: I had to more than double my real weight in the app to get the desired cups of water I wanted per day (why not just let me select the number of cups?) and the warning that I’m drinking too fast if I put in more than 1 cup of water at a time is *really* annoying. I have a 3-cup water bottle and put the water amounts in the app every time I finish it getting that warning messages over and over. Please consider changing that feature to a daily or better yet one-time sign and understand feature.

Only one thing I can complain about. I love everything about this app but one thing. That is I tend to add all my water in time periods thru the day. So instead of glass by glass it’s like 3-4 times thru the day. I’m so over being told told I’m drinking water to fast. I wish there was a way to turn it off or just get rid of it. Make it an option. All it does is slow down me adding in my water intake and eye roll every time. Like I know not to drink 64 ounces in one sitting. But not everyone has time to enter every glass as they enter it. Before it gets suggested to change the amount entered at once I have it set to a certain one because I don’t know which water bottle I’ll be using day to day and having it set where it is is easier to do the calculations.

Love it. Personally, I really like the new look, looks much more polished and friendly than the first Plant Nanny. I don’t really think the interface is all that confusing, if anything I think it looks better. The only feedback I have is that the first had more options like pots, plants, the choice of backgrounds, etc. It isn’t much of a bother since the real goal is just trying to drink more water and backgrounds may not help that much, but it was a nice detail I appreciated. I hope there is more plants being worked on, currently there is not that many and one of my biggest motivators to stay on track was the excitement of unlocking new plants. Overall VERY cute and helpful app, looking forward to more updates! P.S love the music as well.

It’s pretty good but the update is frustrating. I don’t really like the new update they’ve done if I’m being honest. They constantly want you to subscribe but I’m completely fine with the free version. Every time I water my plant I get a pop up to subscribe to premium and it’s extremely annoying and frustrating. One of my plants in my greenhouse has also just disappeared so it just looks weird now and I have no clue how to fix it. I also liked the acorn and clover ways of buying things rather than having a very small selection of plants to choose from if you have the free version. But other than all of that I do really like the app. The plants are really cute and their designs are amazing. I love all the little pots you can pick from too.

Good concept, but I'm a little worried.... I downloaded this app as a cute little incentive to stay hydrated. I love the concept of the plants. However, the app told me right at the start that I need to drink 96 oz of water a day. Now I understand that experts disagree on how much water is healthy to drink, but I talked to numerous people about it and everyone told me that 96 oz was way too much. I trusted the app though because I really wanted to stay hydrated. Meeting my daily goal became a miserable task, and daily functioning became difficult because of the amount of times I had to use the bathroom. Sometimes I'd chug 48 oz in the evenings just to meet my daily goal (which can actually cause liver damage or worse) and on top of that the app around send constant reminders to drink more water even after I met my goal. A lot of this is due to my own ignorance, but I don't think an app should be recommending 96 oz to begin with. I think it could be dangerous without the proper education.

Definitely a good way to hydrate!. Plant Nanny is over all great! It has totally helped me stay hydrated in a cute fun way :) Some things that I would have a problem with are lil minor things, that might not be a problem for other people; I’m still in school, and phones aren’t aloud, so I end up putting all the water i drank that day at once, and it always says I’m drinking too much at once. Another thing is when it’s time to get a new plant, I would have to buy a new one immediately. Sometimes when I had fully grown up a plant, I just wouldn’t have enough money for a new different plant or the one I wanted. Once again, great app! A lil recommendation to the creators, more types of plants! I like the ones on there now, just a few more would be great!

Just get the app!. Free version is pretty decent, but I love this app so much I actually pay for the subscription (and I am CHEAP). I budget for this simply because of the huge impact it’s made on my life. I struggle with depression and just the usual ADHD forgetfulness, this has helped me so much actually drink the water my body needs. My acne is even clearing besides the monthly breakouts. I’ve been using this app for almost a full year now religiously. My only complaint is the clover distribution is a bit stingy, even paying for the app you don’t get much more than what they give for the free version. Guess there’s a reason to that— to keep you using the app since it should take you awhile to unlock everything! Create and maintain the habit of drinking the water you need! Take care of yourselves🫶🏻

This app is amazing!!!. I have never really drank that much water before. I would drink like somewhere between a cup and a couple sips a day. It has never been very healthy for me and I have always had dark circles. Plant nanny has helped remind me to drink water and to stay healthy. I love how I also get to grow my plant on my journey. Not only that but I have gotten to where I drink two cups and I’m currently working forward four. My dark circles are getting so much better and I feel so great after drinking. Now enough about me, this is truly a wonderful app and it’s such a blessing. I recommend this app to anyone who’s struggling with drinking enough water or just likes a fun thing to do as you drink water. Have a nice day! :)

Sadly prefer the original Plant Nanny. I was excited to see a new version of Plant Nanny, because while it’s been my favorite water tracking app for years, I thought it could use some improvements, mostly around reminders. (My “day” doesn’t necessarily end at midnight, and even if I logged water at 7:58AM, I’d get a reminder to drink water at 8AM, which seemed silly.) With all that was advertised with this new app, I thought some of those flaws would be addressed. NOPE. And now you also can’t easily toggle between cup sizes. Sure, I have my trusty 24 oz bottle, but if I just have a glass or use a different bottle I either have to a) go into settings to switch the cup size each time, which is inconvenient, or b) try to remember the difference on my own and only log it when I reach the default cup size, which defeats the purpose of a tracker. Sadly I’m going back to the original for now and just hope it’ll remain compatible.

Updated review. They made the graphics cuter!! Overall, it’s a joy to use and I appreciate the developer’s efforts to make and maintain this app. One thing I miss is in this app is the option for the plant to die when you’re not drinking enough. The old plant nanny 1 did this, and I felt like the concept was good but the levels needed adjusting. The new plant nanny 2 does a better job with the levels, which is great! However, the plant now stays alive no matter how long it’s been since you last logged (e.g. weeks ago? Still alive) which makes it feel less challenging and less urgent to attend to. I imagine some people will prefer this change while others, like me, would prefer for it to work slightly more like a Tamagotchi. Sometimes I forget I have this app, but it’s cute and overall well done

Cute, a nice update. This is a cute app that does what it’s supposed to and feels like a nice update from the older version. Considering it’s a free app, no complaints. The one thing that gets a little annoying is that it kinda scolds you when you enter more than one drink back-to-back, saying “drinking too fast isn’t good for you” or whatever. Considering you can’t always enter every portion of water in real time (say, if you’re driving or in a meeting), I’d think that entering a couple of servings at a time would be pretty standard for most people. It’s not like they don’t allow you to do it or anything, but the warning gets old and it would be nice if you could disable it after the first time. But all in all it’s a nice, useful and entertaining app.

Money grab app. As I read the comments that were made a year to 2 years ago they all seem good so once downloaded it was fun onto the updates came in n made me not really use the app everything or most of what u do I’m the game request a plan that must be paired for in IN app purchases which is crazy are u really going to pay someone to remind u to drink water that’s pretty much a humans right like I never ever once seen a app trying to charge someone to allow them to enable notifications like every app I know asked u as soon as u run the app if u want notifications basic off that this app is not longer enjoyable as hardly water my plants since u only go on the app to press one button then get off the app the app is wasted space on ur phone use that space for music or movies rather then this app which pretty much tries to get u to pay for the one of many plans they have to offer u

Best daily water goal app ever!. I’ve used this app for years. Didn’t have it for a year. And just recently redownloaded it. I really enjoy the newer version of it. It’s a lot more modernized(the og version was good too though) and it’s still just as cute. My fiancé and I are trying to get healthier and I just remembered this app and told him to get it. We don’t have the space to have any real plants right now so He gets just as excited as I do every time we get the notifications to “water our plants”. It’s a sweet bonding thing in our relationship and we get physically healthier doing it. I will forever recommend this app to everyone who struggles to drink enough water and enjoys gardening or plants.

A great app, but I don’t love the newest update. Found this app years ago and loved it then fell of the wagon. Remembered it in the pst year, after getting pregnant and being a lot more intentional about drinking enough water, and it really has made a difference. I recommend it to anyone and everyone who has a hard time staying motivated about drinking water. That being said, there are some things in the newest update that I haven’t enjoyed. As a free user, the pop-up adds to upgrade my subscription after every time I log water don’t make me want to subscribe and just annoy me. Also, I miss harvesting acorns from the grown plants in the greenhouse - taking that feature away makes the greenhouse feel disconnected and without purpose.

Absolutely amazing. I have a really bad problem with drinking water and have even gone on the edge of passing out because I hadn’t drunken enough water. When I almost fainted bc of it I made the decision to start drinking more water. But I couldn’t do it by myself, I forgot, I drank to much, or I would just not do it. Then I decided to look up apps to drink more water and first got the original one and then decided to change to the newer one. This app has helped amazingly, I have gotten so much healthier bc of it, I haven’t almost passed out or even gotten that dizzy, my skin is healthier and it is all bc of this app. Sometimes I wouldn’t drink much water and would ignore the app and then when I remembered that my little plant starts dying if I don’t drink water I immediately grabbed a cup and drank some.

Handy Little Guy :). I got this app to help me remember + incentivize drinking fluids (be it water or tea etc) and I believe it’s helping! I don’t strictly follow their recommended volumes based on height or weight since it not related to my goals. I haven’t had a plant die yet, but it has been wilted a few times after I have a long lab course or go to bed. It seems to have a 6+ hour buffer between drinks (just drinks, volume of water you record doesn’t seem to matter) and doesn’t wilt until after, which seems forgiving if you forget to drink or log on. I haven’t found an in-game mechanic for a “pause” if you know you won’t have your phone or something, which may be a down side if you work in labs like I do.

Needs better graph system. This app is both cute and functional, however I think it could use some improvements. First of all, the water amounts suggested seem way too high for someone who struggles to drink water on a daily basis, it’d be better if we could choose our own goal to work towards and improve on as our bodies get used to drinking more. This apps whole purpose is supposed to be a way to track your water intake and log your progress with a cute touch of growing a garden with your water... but I find it very difficult to see my progress because the data graph bars only show an estimate of what you drank in previous days. I wish there was a feature that showed you exactly how much water you logged each day. In the app Walkr we are allowed to scroll through each day and see exactly how many steps we took, I wish it was the same for this app.

Love it! ❤️. I’ve been using this app for about a month and I love it. 😂 Its really fun to have a little plant baby to take care of. I do genuinely feel like it encourages me to hydrate myself more often, and I’m happy I found this app. I’ve gotten a lot of people to download it. Now for the cons, it is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive, if you want to get ANY special features. If I’m going to spend 70 dollars on something, I would rather spend it on a pair of shoes or some makeup. I’m my personal opinion, it’s not worth it to pay that much just to take care of a virtual plant. I also feel like there is a lot of things they could do to spice it up. They could include mini games, a chat for all the users, naming your plants etc. But over all I think this is a great app, I highly recommend!!

Really great! But one critique. It’s a great app, totally recommend...but I wish but I didn’t tell you you’re drinking water too fast or you’re drinking too much water. Sometimes I’ll drink one or two glasses of water and then when I end up watering my plant it will tell me I’m drinking too fast even though I’m not. And now that I’ve gotten into a habit of drinking water sometimes I drink more than the recommended amount and it tells me I should stop which I don’t like. I don’t want to have to limit how much water I drink in a day or have to space out the water so I don’t go above the threshold. But other than that it’s amazing, I now drink water all the time, it’s really fun and the plants are really cute. Whenever me and my friends plants level up I’ll send a picture to each other which is fun. ❤️

Just a great concept in general. I love apps that gameify real life progress because not only does it keep track of things obviously, but for some reason I actually feel a desire to keep making progress in the game. My only slight grievance is unlike other water trackers that calculate the water from multiple drinks, this only tracks water so I have to sort of mentally accommodate for any tea or coffee I drink as those are mostly water. It makes sense since it’s based on plants and you wouldn’t water a plant with tea or coffee but still, it’d be a good addition I think. Regardless, it’s hard to find free high quality apps like this that don’t require a monthly fee to fully enjoy it so I can’t complain. Highly recommended if you enjoy staying healthy and cute cartoon plants.

Good for hydration tracking. I’d give this 5 stars in total if there was a bit more of a tutorial when starting the app. I was very confused on how to plant a new plant buddy, or gather things, etc. but eventually I understood after doing a little exploring. The app is fun and simple. Maybe in the future the developers could introduce adding friends. My coworkers and family members all use this app (since I introduced it to them) and it’s fun to compare the growth of our little plants to one another. It helps keep me motivated personally- well, that and not killing Mushu my Mushroom plant. It’s very good for what it is as an app and doesn’t disappoint- but maybe some more features in the future could make it even more fun and immersive!

Grown with love - a wonderful and irreplaceable app. I was in middle school when I first downloaded the original plant nanny. I thought it was adorable and charming! From then on id constantly forget about the app, delete it, remember the app, and redownload it. It’s been almost a decade and I’m still here, active for almost a year on the current plant nanny app. It’s simple, it’s sweet, it’s encouraging, and the music is absolutely beautiful. It doesn’t cost anything to keep track of how much water you drink and to grow the plants, and once you’ve gotten the hang of updating your water intake daily, then you won’t be able to stop! It’s wonderfully simply and I’m glad that the devs made this game every day.

'Subscription' service ruined it :(. I've used Plant Nanny for a while, and actually used it back before this sequel came out. I didn't have a problem with microtransactions being in the app, but since the subscription service has been added, I feel locked out of the game aspects of it, it really lowers the incentive for me to log my water intake, which defeats the purpose of using a tracker. I have autism so turning things like this into a game is really helpful for me, but if the 'game' isn't fun anymore because half of it is locked behind a paywall, it's not nearly as effective. Was really disappointed to see that the Halloween event advertised in the new update was fully locked behind a paywall. Prior to the addition of the sub service, Plant Nanny 2 was absolutely a solid 5 star app, but now, it really is not worth over 2 stars unless you're a paid user.

Like the original better. I have collected enough seeds with the original so I thought I’d move to plant nanny 2. Yes some of the art is better than the original but I simply don’t like #2. The original had a nice simple home page— the plant and a background (that you could change). I personally liked looking at the tropical background or the window and seeing it change from daylight to night. Nanny 2 is a cartoon of a tree and I keep waiting for Disney’s Chip and Dale to come out. I guess I prefer the more realist garden approach. I don’t get my grown plant moved to the inside of a tree truck instead of a garden setting. Plus, the first week I’ve been compelled to watch a zillion ads to earn clovers because I figured I needed to gather for some purpose later on. I guess the whole point is to remind me to drink water— so I’ll probably revert to the original and stop collecting seeds and just drink the water.

Free version should have custom goals. The app has some good things about it, and it does help me remember to drink water. However, they calculate your needed water intake based on weight and activity level, and if you’re plus sized, it’s an absolutely ridiculous amount. For me, it’s recommending 137 oz per day! My doctor just wants me to be working on getting 64oz per day, so the app is putting me at more than twice my doctor’s recommendation. It’s possible to set your own goal…. but only if you pay the subscription. That doesn’t seem like it should be a paywalled feature. It seems like a pretty basic function, especially since some people may want to use this to help follow medical recommendations. I ended up dropping the weight down so I could get it to the 64oz, so I guess I can never sync it to my Health app.

Cute Way To Encourage Drinking Water!. I, like everyone else, need to hydrate myself more each day. Goal is 7 glasses a day (10 even better), and the adorable plants in this app make me want to drink more in real life so my plants can grow faster! Only complaint I have though is in the previous (first) Plant Nanny app, I got a spring onion plant from some kind of award. I LOVE onions, so it would be nice if it could move over to this version of the app. The only reason I have the old plant nanny app is for that one plant only. Hopefully, if it gets added here, I can choose it as my next plant (if that’s how it works)!! Lovely app besides that!! I use no other water tracker, as this is perfect and should last me a while ☺️ Let’s see if they listen/read my review...hehe

Fan of Original; 2 Seems to Be Listening Now. Thought I’d give the second one a go again after a hiatus from both. It looks like 2 is finally taking action. Thank you for adding cup size. Took me a bit to figure out how to hold the water button and slide it to the cup size you want and then let go, but once learned it’s actually kind of nice. Could be a little more comfortable though (right above water button as opposed to the right side? Bigger?) also maybe a small guided tutorial on how to use it and Cup Volumes. Improvement when it comes to turning urine into golden clovers, but yes, they looked like popcorn to me at first glance as well ^^* Very charming otherwise, new, more cohesive design sense and addition of creatures is cool!

I never drink water. I have never drank water the way you’re supposed to I have a serious problem with it and it’s made one of my diseases a lot worse than it should be. I have vasovagal syncope and I had to increase my drinking a lot more than I was ever used to (mostly because I was dehydrating myself my whole life). This being said I really needed a water tracking app and my Doctor Who knows me very well suggested this because they know I would get upset if I let my plant die. that being said I’m on a nine day streak which is the longest I’ve ever gone drinking my necessary amounts of water just because I saw him sad once and I will never let it happen again. The plants guilt trip you into drinking and it’s that fear tactic that will keep me healthy. Thanks!

Super cute game, just one major issue. I love the look of this game! Such an amazing way to motivate me to drink! I love everything about what the game provides and stands for. There just one issue that I cannot over look and will ultimate led to me deleting the game, the water intake. I am 116 lbs and classified as “Moderately Active” (exercises 2 to 5 hours a week) which by the games calculations puts me at needing 9 8oz cups of water a day! Firstly, the recommendation by doctors is only 8 8oz cups a day. Additionally, every human body is different and requires different levels of water intake. The player should be given the option to take the recommendation for their goal OR create a custom goal. I can’t stand to watch my little plant buddy dying of thirst, but I’m also not able to drink so much water each day! Please please please put the option for players to create their own drinking goals. I’d love to be able to fully enjoy this game!

Great App. We live in Arizona where water is essential. I also coach cross country and we run all summer long....even when it is 115 degrees out...so water intake is very important. I like this app because it really makes you aware of how much water you need based on your activity level, height, and weight. My athletes thought they were consuming enough water but after using the app (mandatory to have the app for summer training) they realized they were not drinking enough water. They admit they do feel better after the workouts and do not have the dry mouth during runs since they have been using the app. I would agree. The plants and pots and other animations just make it fun. I also like the reminders.
