Good incentive for tracking. First time that I’ve paid for an app. Yes I can do this myself and use a spreadsheet but there is more engagement with buildings related to recorded expenses and acquisition of citizens and rewards. I don’t know if this is deliberate but the characters do not fit their “genders”. Feminine looking characters have boy names and vice versa. Boys have boyfriends and girls have girlfriends. I guess it is truly a gender free/fluid if that is your thing. I’ve tracked more expenses with this than other means and it’s been eye opening how much money I spend on food.

10/10 Reccomend. I found this app after downloading "plant nanny" which basically is an app where you can track how much water you need to drink specifically for you. I think this is such a cute app, the only thing is I'm only 16 and so I don't spend money every single day so growing my city takes a long time. I like how simple the design of this is and also how you can merge little islands. The thing is this makes me want to spend my money so I can track it. Take that last part with a grain of salt, again I'm a teenager and I don't have a job so I enjoy buying things. If i had to buy my own grocercies, gas, bills, etc I don't think this app would make me want to spend, it would just be a cute and creative way to track my spending.

Fun Budgeting. I find this app to be both fun and useful. As I make purchases throughout my day I will log them into the game and have been able to categorize each one to my specifications. There are major categories and subcategories in order to track your purchases. It does incur you to spend more IRL just to gain new building types, but it’s not necessary, because those will come with time. The free version itself offers a good range of capabilities, but for a few bucks a month you can also use more extensive graphing features, which is quite helpful for long-term budgeting. The game interface on top of that is quite easy to maneuver and play around with. Even when not doing anything with your city for a day, you workers will build additional parks to liven things up. Overall, I absolutely enjoy this app, and would also recommend some of the partner apps as well, Walkr and Plant Nanny. Those encourage positive and healthy daily routines, like exercise and drinking more water. Thank you dev. team! Well done!

Very cute and helpful. Making myself have to input everything I buy myself in makes me feel more accountable and aware of the things I am spending rather than other budgeting apps like hellowallet where it just pulls from my bank account. Also it’s very cute and I love growing my little town. However, I wish leftover funds from the previous month would transfer over to the next month since I don’t get paid on the first of every month and it makes it look like I’m in the negative on the monthly pie chart when I’m not

Making expense recording fun. I have always had trouble consistantly recording my expenses. I tried photographing all my receipts and storing them on icloud. But now that I use fortune city, I never forget to record expenses because I am very competitive and want to grow my city quickly. To devs: can there please be a wayfor friends to play together like multiplayer and help each other further grow their cities such as tourism? The ambassador program was nice but I initially got this game in hopes to play with my friend.

I have never been so on top of my finances. I LOVE THIS APP. It has really helped illuminate my finances and where I’m spending - all in a fun and somewhat addictive way. Sometimes I open the app just to marvel at the city I’ve built with my (sometimes) reckless spending. I’ve downloaded other budgeting apps like Level Money and Mint, but it doesn’t give me enough control over how I categorize my spend, Venmo transactions mess up their reporting, and their attempts to automatically scrape my bank and credit card statements make it too easy to set-and-forget, which means I’m not staying on top of my finances, which defeats the purpose of the app. My only complaint is that once you’ve created a spending or income category, you can’t delete or edit them. Seems like an obvious oversight.

Nice graphics but pushes you to spend money. I like the cute graphics and that this app rewards you for tracking money however, if you want the city building aspect to progress faster you might spend more money. This is because a building only pops up if you log a new activity ( new income or a purchase). Since I can’t change how often I get paid, I would have to spend money more often to make my city grow faster. To fix this problem in the next version/ update , add a category for saving money that would take the amount entered out of income. That way this game can encourage its users to save money as well.

Great Habit Gamification Experience. Really enjoy working with this app to track my daily expenditures. It makes tracking expenses fun, while also keeping my spending right there in front of me. Only thing about the app that I am not as keen on is that beyond the first five expenditures I make in a day, there isn’t much content for additional usage throughout the day. The city builds very slowly with occasional gem options by watching a video or helping a visitor find an item. The builders take 500 gems to expand by one additional builder. I have been playing for a couple days and have accumulated 150 gems. It is going to take a long while to get an additional builder and grow the city...

Helping me get invested in budgeting. Money terrifies me. I struggle to understand it, and I have always had a really hard time tracking my expenses and budgeting makes me really nervous. I’ve only been using this app for a few days, but already it’s done a really great job at keeping me interested in tracking my expenses. That alone is worth it. I’m hoping to keep this tracking up, and hopefully there will be tools for creating an actual budget.

Optimistic. Just started using the app and I’m starting to understand the logic and functionality behind it a bit more. At first, it seemed like the app encouraged you to make daily purchases and for different categories of things (like shopping, food, transportation, etc.) Basically, the idea is the more you write down your purchases, the more aware you become of how you’re spending your money. As you grow your city, you can see which categories you tend to spend your money on based on how tall certain buildings get. The app doesn’t set out and explain a lot so you kind of learn as you go but so far I’m enjoying the experience and optimistic that it will help me reach my budgeting goals.

Puts the “fun” in “functional”. This app is great. I’ve only been using it for a few days now, but I’ve enjoyed it immensely. The design has a good mixture of whimsy and minimalism, and the colours are very aesthetically pleasing. It's easy enough to figure out (even without the quick tutorial) and the “game” is compelling enough that you keep coming back to add you expenditures. As a person who has been diagnosed with ADHD, this aspect is very appealing, as I start many “money/exercise/food tracking” apps with great intentions, only to lose interest or forget to log events. So far I have only tried the free version, but I will update this review if I decide to purchase the full version.

Awesome game, some updates needed. I have only been using this app for a week and it already is helping me track expenses more than any money app before. The gamified experience really keeps me hooked. But some updates would be nice. I wish I could look at all my citizens at once - the way I can with potential citizens - so that I could easily compare and find the best job for each of them. I also would like to see subcategories for income. What’s the point of showing a pie graph of income when it always shows 100% income? I get money from several places - two jobs, tips, birthday money, side hustles - and would like to be able to analyze that. Lastly could we have a category for donations? The buildings could be things like a soup kitchen, a thrift store, a church. I want to track donations for tax purposes! Also.. can the garden upgrades please have paths that actually intersect? That way I can actually plan a park with pathways.

Nice app, interesting graphics. Pretty animations and easy ways to track your expenses. Had to sit down and actually go through each of the icons and menus because it wasn’t intuitive at first, but it’s easy to get the hang of. Essentially, the first 5 expenses you track each day allow you to build a new building, which you can then fill with “citizens” who work and make money for your town. It’s nice in that it encourages me to track my expenses each day with the only repercussions coming from not tracking anything in a given day, which is nice because it doesn’t make me feel like it’s an unmanageable chore. The game functions don’t get in the way of the original objective, which is to improve your book keeping habits. Once started, I feel like it’s easy to get into the groove of how it works. I’m only on day 2 now, but we’ll see how it goes.

I love it!. First of all, this game isn’t that great for people trying to save. It’s helpful for keeping track of what stuff you spend your money on. It has a pie chart showing where all of your money goes, if you want to use that to decide what to cut back on - but otherwise, the point of the game is to build up your city every time you make a purchase or earn money. Contrary to what other reviews may say, it does not “punish” you for saving. For money you don’t spend, it gives you little parks that you can build up in place of buildings. My only suggestion is to add more categories to account for things like savings, educational fees/tuition, and charity donations :)

Simple, cute, does its job. Love this app, great job devs making it so adorable and having all the functions I need! Have used this for nearly 2 years so far and haven't missed a day. Appreciate the most: it doesn't need wifi so I can track while on the go + automatic currency exchange/easy switching between currencies and expense accounts. Also, love the art. Small wish: wish we could filter citizens list to easily find citizens with an unfulfilled dream job~

A Fun Thing to Help Stay Conscious. I’m a person who can get really forgetful even if I write everything down. This app has really let me be a bit more conscious in the way I’m spending while also making it a bit fun. All the graphics and the characters are so cute, I’m encouraged to check on it constantly because of the aesthetics alone. Now if you get a little too invested with mobile games this might be to your detriment since there are in app purchases to help your status in the game, but if you’re like me who likes the casualness of it and the aesthetics I don’t think you’ll have a problem. The notifications are really good too. Aside from the regular ingame push notifications, the app reminds you to write down your spendings for that day. I only started using the budgeting and analytics feature, so I’m not sure how beneficial it will be—but I will try to update this as much as I can.

Interesting approach to tracking spending. So far, I’m really liking this app and I’m hoping that this will help me track my spending. I do also like that there is a (paid for $3.99 a month) feature that allows you to budget in addition to viewing trends in your spending. These couples together could help individuals better understand where there money is really going. Some features are missing though: there’s not a good way to track credit card payments (though I suppose you could file it under daily necessities), bill payments, nor what you’re putting in your savings. It is my feeling that because these are missing, the app isn’t giving a full picture of your spending which is why I’m giving this app a four out of five stars.

Fun to track spending. I think this app is really fun. Every time you spend money and track it, you get a cute little building. It’s not very interactive like a video game. But it has good qualities that make it interesting when you track your spending. I especially like how keeping track of the spending is very simple. The categories are playing and you can pick which categories they are, and even write a simple description for them. It helps keep track of what you’re spending and how much. And then it gives you a nice little pie graph as well.

Makes Tracking Finances Bearable. As a young adult who wasn’t taught how to manage money when I was younger, this app really makes it easy to remember and honestly pretty fun to do. I like being able to see when and where I can change my habits to make better spending choices. I plan to get their membership, which starts at less than 3$ a month. I love how they’ve really started to flesh out the financial advisor characters and adding more tools to visualize and track spending habits. Wish there were a few improvements to the gameplay aspects of it, but overall would absolutely recommend

Builds Habit of Expenses-Tracking, But Game Gets Distracting. Fortune City really makes you want to track every single one of your expenses. But, the game is too well-done and you could easily spend too much time playing the game instead of tracking your expenses. Perfect for people who want to develop a habit of expenses-tracking, and have great self-restraint with games. If you have impulsive tendencies, this is not for you. Certain features of the game really help me remember to record my expenses throughout the day (e.g. clocking in, earning characters and achievements). But, I get annoyed by the frequency of little tasks to earn diamonds, and the diamond-related components of the game seem like pointless distractions. I would much rather pay for a version without the distractions that efficiently makes you build the habit of tracking expenses.

super fun app for tracking expenses. Everything about this app is so cute and fun. I stumbled upon this app thru Plant Nanny. I find myself looking forward to everyday so I can build more buildings and collect more diamonds to decorate and get a new theme layout. Accessibility is user friendly. Tracking expenses is also straightforward. The only thing I would like to change is to ability to change my user name or profile picture instead of linking to a different social media account.

Best on the AppStore. This app was exactly what I was looking for: 1. Customizable Expense tracker 2. Flexible analytics (can separate by cash vs credit card expenses, income vs expense, net gain/loss for adjustable timeframe etc.) 3. Adorable and aesthetic UI 4. Cute animal crossing like theme and charaters. Each with their own traits and stories. 5. Interactive game mechanics like city building, hiring citizens based on skill sets, and I absolutely love how each building is created by their corresponding expense category. Overtime your city will look like a birds eye view of what/how you spend. The only suggestion I have, is to have the analytics page (pie chart), save your filters automatically for accounts (ie. all accounts, credit card, and cash), or give the option somewhere, since I mostly want to see credit card expenses normally, and all accounts over a monthly/yearly view. The application already saves my selected timeframe which is very nice.

moneybunny. Honestly, the cute icons and game play initially are nice but it quickly changes as you level up into higher levels. It becomes near impossible to save up diamonds unless you watch a bunch of ads to compensate which hardly gets you anywhere. As an app that promotes saving and healthy budget tracking, it’s ironic when the app itself encourages you to SPEND money to improve your city. Is the point not to help track and not add to expenses? What I find equally frustrating is the streak system to login everyday. I don’t make a purchase every single day of the week, so I don’t understand why I’m encouraged to check in daily. While daily logins help to upgrade my city or check on buildings, this isn’t a very productive use of time if I am only wanting to track expenses in a cute way. I would also love if I could edit the basic categories they already have set. Some of these categories I would love to change out because they don’t exist for me as an expense but they do take up category space. Overall, great idea but paywalled at a certain point which defeats the purpose.

Surprisingly fun. Who knew being responsible and aware could be so much fun?! 😂 I wondered for a moment today if the app was somehow working against my initial goals as I found myself wanting to spend more so I could update and get more buildings. 😅 The user experience is pretty smooth and so far the free features are sufficient for me. Already considering upgrading to support the developers, but I’ll give it another week or so to see how it pans out. If you’re looking for a cute and families way to track your expenses, check this one out.

Needs to track reoccurring upcoming expenses. I bought this app because I was hoping it would help me to keep track of upcoming expenses so I could better anticipate how much to set aside for them, but it doesn’t—at least not well. It won’t let me input expenses “the normal way” past the present day of the week. The only way I can track upcoming expenses is to set “reminders” and to that I had to tool around under settings on another page (the reminders feature wasn’t even highlighted in the tutorial), but it doesn’t even add them into my budget analytics ahead of time. Would be more useful if it could take my calculations and tell me how much to set aside for reoccurring charges! I’d like to see this in a future update! Otherwise the app is pretty much useless! I already have online banking through my bank, and my expenses are listed there as they hit my account.

Great way to track.... But not so great for encouraging saving. I use it for recording how much I earn and spend, which it is absolutely perfect for. Great interface, great statistics to help you understand why you’re loosing so much money all the time, and a really easy way to log expenses. However, somehow I feel like I’m trying to save money, but the game rewards spending more by letting you grow your city as you log more expenses which I found kind of strange. Maybe a way to better encourage saving by allowing yourself to set daily limits and making you lose in-game money every time you go over that limit will help stop me from going on regular shopping splurges.

Still can’t back up my data even with instruction. I have used this app for more than 3 yrs. since I am switching to a new phone now, I would really like to back up my records and continue using this app on my new phone. However, I followed the instructions including switching to use other WiFi, use VPN and stuff, still, it shows “backup error” when I try logging in. I am very disappointed and frustrated. If this issue can’t be fixed, I will no longer use this app any more since it can only work locally. Please, engineers, could you fix the Backup Error issue in the next few releases or so?

Cute way to keep track of spending. I have a low-key huge problem with overspending, and have tried many ways to keep track of my spending over the years. This app is really special in that it’s very interactive and interesting, and so it always motivates me to actually note down what I spend. The stats they give you on what percent of your spending goes towards food/shopping/entertainment etc. is also helpful to me. Only improvement I would suggest is to require less additional buildings to accommodate new citizens!

Very motivating!. This app is awesome and very motivating. It is one of the few apps that I think is worth a subscription. There are only 3 features that I wish it had or errors that I wish were fixed: 1) the ability to add extra, uncategorized notes to purchases (the existing notes are also used to categorize purchases and track trends so I don’t want to provide too much detail, but that keeps me from being able to remember the specifics of a purchase). 2) I wish that the app incentivized positive financial behaviors like saving, rather than giving the biggest rewards (new buildings) for adding a new expense. I find that I almost TRY to spend more of my money so that I can get new buildings. Nothing good happens if I just save my money. 3) Category tracking needs to be more accurate. I add income every month using the “income” category, but my budget never counts my income as income. This means that—on the budget summary charts— it looks like I’m deep in a financial hole every month. Nevertheless, the gamified nature of this app has me paying more attention to my finances than I have in years, so thanks! I really look forward to tracking my expenses in a way that I never thought I would, and that makes it a great app in spite of any issues that still need to be worked out.

Pretty Good - Needs More Categories. So all in all, have to say, I like this app. I mean I keep track of my expenses at home by myself (outside of this) in an excel sheet, but I do not always look at it every day, or I don’t open up each card and organize things, and I do not always want to type up what category things are in and pull numbers to make a graph... Essentially what this game does is make all of that instant and simple. The second I buy something I log it in the game and it does both a daily bar chart as well as a pie. This is helpful. Now you get more tools for paying... but for free, this is a helpful simple way of keeping track of things. On top of that, it is just fun to mess with your city some. Now the only reason I dropped it one star is because, well there are not enough categories in the free mode... example, there is “food” and “drinks” but no eating out etc. I really want to differentiate some costs so I can budget better, but I can’t. In summation, pretty solid app though it could be improved.

Actually works to encourage mindful spending. First of all, the icon for this app really sets up what the app is going to be about. It’s fun-looking, like a game, but it also has a serious name and a pencil in the design to indicate that the app does involve tracking and budgeting. The App Store description does a good job, and the app itself is so user friendly and cute. I would say this app is for anyone needing motivation or just starting out trying to budget. It makes it fun to pay attention to how money is spent, and the collection aspect is very addicting. The app is free and very professionally done. The main focus of the app is motivating people to engage in mindful spending by having users track their expenses. By being aware of what you are spending, you can build a better budget plan. The design is absolutely adorable, and it uses a lot of game mechanics to create a motivating experience. The content, however, can be a little complicated to understand. I found that it throws you right into the game. Some scaffolded learning may benefit users. That being said, it was easy to navigate and use, the cost was perfect, and many people love this app, myself included.

Great way to gamify expense tracking. I first discovered this app several years ago, when I was younger and didn’t really need it. Now, as I’m older and trying to be more conscious of how I’m spending and be better prepared for the future, this app was the first to come to mind. I’m very happy to report that this app does a great job incentivizing keeping track of your expenses, and since I’ve been gradually entering in my older expenses, it’s already helped me get a better picture of how much I’m spending each month and what I’m spending the most on. I can see this app continuing to be a useful tool for me for a long time.

please add a “bank” feature!. One of the huge pieces of the pie chart that is missing is SAVINGS and CREDIT/DEBT PAYMENTS. Honestly, more than half of my total income goes to those places, and I don’t see a way to track that at all. You could make it a main building in the town like the city hall, since everyone should be saving & building credit. Also, rent is paid on one day, but is technically a DAILY expense. In the graphs, it then looks like you drop a huge amount of money on one day, when the rent should really be spread over the entire month. I’ve only been playing this game for 1 day, but it seems you can rack up about 25 free gems a day, which I think is pretty generous. Another commenter asked if a link to your bank account could be established and purchases automatically uploaded. Please DO NOT do this. When I first downloaded this app, I was actually afraid that might be the case, but thankfully no. I don’t think I need to reiterate how dangerous it is to leave your bank info with a third party company...

punishes you for saving money. tried this out for a few months, hoping it would help me budget. i did find it fun and useful for that, although the game has bizarre mechanisms that punish you for not spending money at least 5 times a day. they must really not know their audience... people installing budgeting apps are obviously seeking programs that teach them to save. this game does the opposite. i managed to stick with the game despite that fault. but now i have really hit a wall i did not see coming. once you play the game long enough to level up your buildings a few times, it stops being free to play. i CANNOT upgrade the buildings in my city unless i pay irl money for “diamonds” (the games pay-to-play currency). it’s pretty sneaky not to even give me the option to level up in other ways. the game doesn’t have functions that give you diamonds for free either, unlike some other games with p2p options. i cannot move any further without giving them money. i’ll be uninstalling this now, since the gamemakers so clearly misunderstood that anyone who would play this game is trying not to spend money.

Enjoyable and Creative. This app is helpful to me as a grad student trying to budget myself. The app creatively is a budget tracker and a watch-your-collection-grow type game. This app simplifies budgeting by giving summaries and a pie chart of expenses. It isn't a "game" you "play" so to speak, you collect a city of buildings and citizens based on the input of your real world spending habits. I think its creative and helpful, and the citizen's bios are hilarious!! This app is great now and I think there is a lot of potential for this app to develop further.

great app, some bugs in recent update. i love the aesthetic and design of this app and i look forward to clicking in my pay and purchases through the week! each design for a building is so unique and creative, it makes me excited thinking where my city will be in the future! it also motivates me to save money after seeing the pie chart of my expense percentages lol. overall, a wonderful & fun way to keep track of your money! the new update always glitches & freezes the app when I tap on the “new arrival” category for city themes. it’d be also nice to just have a category of all the themes instead of new arrivals, seven wonders, & ranked, just so I can compare the theme options.

Download It! Game Changer!. I’ve never written a review for an app much less spend money on one. I was lucky to stumble across this because now I track my money every single day. Before this app, I always guessed how much I spent or I just didn’t care. This app has proven to me how important it is to track your money...every single penny! I even upgraded and subscribed to the extra $4 a month because this app is that important to me. I just started month 2. Use month 1 as a good gauge of where your money is going. Just track it every day. Then month 2 you can upgrade the app and really drill in on your budget. I spent over $500 on food last month! Rich boy life! I’m eating enough for a family lol. I never would’ve known this if it wasn’t for this app. I always kind of guessed or I literally just didn’t care. That’s a lot of money on junk food. A lot. It’s not gonna happen any more no sir! It feels good knowing where your money is going and how you can cut back and save more! Thank you guys! Great app!

I look forward to checking my finances every day. This is a really smart little app - it encourages you to stay entrenched in your bank accounts - which is great if you get anxiety checking your accounts, like me. Research consistently shows that just recording your finances cause you to spend less money. and spend in better places. It also doesn’t encourage cutting back - it just asks you if what your spending money on is something that invests in *you*. I’ve watched my debt go slowly down - it feels great.

Finance... made fun?. I saw my friend “playing” this game, and really liked the visuals! When I realized it was an expense tracker, I immediately downloaded it just to take a look. I never considered tracking my expenses, but suddenly found myself logging expenses just to get more buildings, especially when I was logging something uncommon! It made me aware of just how much of my money goes toward Food—which helped me change some of my habits of eating out so much! Very great for those of us who struggle to budget!

How about a reward for NOT spending?. Just got the game and while playing around, it feels like you’re being encouraged to spend money so that you could track spending and grow your city. The way it’s set up now, the decision to go spend $5 on a coffee has more a reward than choosing to make coffee at home and stay under budget. Good concept, beautifully made into an adorable game, but doesn’t actually build better financial habits, but instead encourages bad ones. One way to possibly counter this would be to offer a “no money spent today!” option that has a better reward than logging a bunch of frivolous spending would. Just a thought.

Amazing App. I’m a high school student trying to save up my money, and this app has helped me to start financial habits that I think will be very beneficial for the future. I love that these app developers found a way to make financial tracking something I enjoy doing. Their other apps are amazing too, I highly recommend checking them out. The only thing about this app that I would criticize is that I don’t think it’ll be something I’ll be able to use long term when I start having to make much larger and more frequent payments because I can’t connect it to my bank account. But for now, this is exactly what I need.

Fun but hard to get the hang of. It’s a really adorable interface and fun to use. I personally have not really utilized the actual tracking features because I just wanted to level up my buildings and get a variety of buildings, which Is hard to do if using it as intended. The different challenges in it (finding stuff around your city and more) are honestly difficult to understand and I still haven’t been able to do any of them. The characters that you come into contact with are well formed, but still hard to really get the gist of. There are VIP citizens, which I don’t understand either. I really like the concept of what they are trying to do, but I’m just winging it honestly. But that’s why they got 3 stars for a game that I honestly don’t know how to use to its full potential.

Fun, cute, guilt-free. Really Cute app that I find myself actually checking in with everyday- if not to do the cute little tasks, or just to see how things are doing with my citizens. Budget apps before have tried to make tracking fun but nothing comes close to this. Easy, guilt-free and actually attention grabbing. I might actually pay to see more features if there were more categories of course. It would be amazing to see ones for a pet, and school things. Other just doesn’t catch it!

Budgeting via a game, no CC payment offset. Doesn’t feel like work that way, good idea! The only real complaint is that while it gives you the choice in how you pay for things (CC or Cash) it doesn’t give you an option to log your credit card payments. Sure you can add a new category for that but then you’re, in essence, logging that same amount of money twice. For example if I buy groceries on my cc, I log that into my app and denote it as used a cc. Then if I want to log that I made a cc payment it adds that total amount to the graph. It’s still the same amount of money but no way to track the cc payments separate from the spending. Even though that’s when the actual money is leaving the account.

Suggestions. Could we maybe have it so the pie chart actually includes everything you log in each category? Like if I log for a past day it doesn’t show up in the monthly totals. And maybe let the category names be customizable? Just the names so it can actually represent what my spending categories are. Wouldn’t need to change the achievements or buildings or anything. Just let me change the name, it gets confusing trying to remember that you’re categorizing something under a different name.

Helpful, but.... I’m still trying to figure out how to make this app work for me. Multiple accounts, adding income... I’ll figure it out I’m sure, but it’s a little clunky to start. UPDATE - I had to abandon this as an actual useful tool because it’s just too basic at the free level and too expensive for something supposedly about saving money. When I started using it there were many opportunities to “earn” diamonds by “helping the salesman” watching videos and the like, but I haven’t seen the salesman in months and only rarely are there videos - maybe once every week or two. As a budgeting tool this is less than useless as a game... It’s OK but has a lot of issues as well. I don’t understand all of the five star reviews or how this can be a featured app. There are some other great apps for this purpose but this isn’t one of them.

Gamification for income and expenses is a fun way to understand habits. I have tried finance tracking apps, but there was no fun and lots of work involved. This app uses Gamification for income and expenses and it is a fun way to understand habits and not make the experience of tracking seem boring and time consuming because you get to feel like you are building something and seeing your town look successful as you use the app daily.

I’ve told everyone I know about it. It’s a fun and light way to confront your financial spendings! I’m a little bit of an impulsive buyer, and to make it a habit of logging what I spend and what my income is, I’ve learned to be more frugal and smart with my money. No matter what day, you can log in what you spend/receive in either cash or card, and a building will be made to represent that money spent/received. It’s genius! I’ve learned how I spent in a month over the past 4 months I’ve had it. Honestly I should be getting paid for how many people I’be advertised this to because I haven’t had any problems with this app. Thanks for making this app, it’s done nothing but help me be smarter with my money.

Enjoy it’s functionality but I’m stuck. I’m stuck in a catch 22 because to upgrade to the next level, I have to “merge two more buildings”, and when I try to do so, it tells me after a certain level that I still need to merge two more. I just spent 8k in coins on merging and I still need two more. And also, there’s a section with rooms and cutouts and I can’t figure out what that’s about and don’t see mention of it in the help guide, unless I’m overlooking it, which is possible. Those things are besides the point though. This app makes tracking your finances fun and something to look forward to. I’ll definitely continue to use it.

Great but could use a few adjustments. This has been amazing for helping me with my finances. Very easy to submit and edit a transaction. Just wish it had an option to carry over the final balance from one month to the next when beginning the next month. Also could use a couple more category options but still has a wide selection that makes it easy to sort expenses. Desperately need a school/student category since some of the expenses are hard to categorize and I’d like to group all of my school spending together

Excellent. I would highly recommend. I have a condition where I can hardly care for myself and this really helps me be mindful of my spending. The only thing it could use is with store content they could add some cute monuments or maybe some special clothing or decoration to make it more unique and for something else to spend my hard earned diamonds on.

Honestly love it. I really love this game I’m not too great at keeping track of my finances but now I actually want to keep track of them. I would recommend this game to anyone and everyone.

Great app, but theres something that I would like to mention. Not sure if its just me, but at the start the app makes you feel the need to spend more money so you can track it down and get more buildings - its especially persuasive since right after it asked you to track your spending 2 weeks in a row. I really like the concept of the game, and Im sure some people focuses on the actual “game” more than the purpose of the app (tracking money) so at the start, some people might find the urge to spend more money just so they could jog it down and advance further in the app.

Fun way to keep track of spending. I love the idea of this app. This helps me to keep track of what I spend - according to this app, I spend a lot on food. So simple to use and it’s been making rethink where I spend my money.

Great tracker. This is a game I have been using for 3.5 years and the ability to track my money has been so easy and handy. The ability to look at your spendings from the start of your journey in a clump is very rewarding after so long being able to see where your flow of money is going. My reason for the 4 star and not the 5 is purely the long term functionality of the game. With so many buildings it becomes so difficult to organise your mini world in addition to this it would be nice if there was a larger zoom capacity as scrolling all the way over to an area can be really annoying or just being able to view it all from a large zoomed out perspective. Otherwise thanks for the amazing game and will continue to recommend however my key critiques are reasons my friends family stop playing the game.

Makes me keep better track of my money. This game definitely makes me take more notice of where my money is going. The game aspect definitely makes it more worthwhile to track my daily spending

Encourage saving. The game is an incentive to encourage users to keep track and record spendings, but the goal is to save for most people so the reward for not spending should be more attractive than the buildings built for each spending.

Great way to engage people with this mundane task of everyday life. I can never stick with a game for more than a week, nor can I keep a habit of recording expenses everyday. This game has got me with both :)

Fun and cute!. The only thing which bugs me is the inconsistencies with the gender and look of the characters: many girl characters are referred to as ‘he’ and there doesn’t seem to be enough of ‘she’ word usage. Also an update on series of monuments or other finance-related features would be great! Still using it and love it so far!

建議相關功能 Advice for function of Task. It is a good entertainment function for the NPC to give the task diamond every day. It is recommended that the NPC can increase the goodwill of the player, affect the employee's benefit income or ability value, etc., and improve the function of the training. In addition, it is recommended to add some accidents such as car accidents, fires, or water shortages on the map. You can avoid these disasters when you have unlocked the vehicle...etc. I really enjoy this game, thank you team.

Simple, fun way to start tracking finances. This may not be the most comprehensive money tracker, but it was a good app to get me started and helped me to become more aware of where my money was going. Have now got a more in depth app to further analysis my financial situation, but this little app kept it interesting and fun for me to be consistent with it.

Amazing!. I saw this once advertised on Pinterest but when I tried to look it up on the App Store I couldn’t find it anywhere. I eventually found it and it’s one of favourite apps now. It’s really useful and sooo cute! I love it!

Great app but still so much potential. I love this app as it has helped me so much but a few features I wish to see... - the ability to zoom out further!! It’s seriously hard to see my whole island - the ability to sell multiple buildings/plots at once with the multi-selection mode - better iPad compatibility please! I sync my account across my phone and iPad but the app isn’t that great on the iPad - a clear way of knowing a citizens dream job, I don’t understand how to tell if they’re in their dream job or not

“Game” Changer (Punk intended). Brilliant idea, combining the addictive nature of mobile city builder with a mundane tedium like budget tracking! The app is well executed in both style and gameplay. I look forward to seeing this app more polished, and I would gladly recommend the app to friends.

Useless. I’ve been using this app for about a month now and it hasn’t helped me budget, track my spending or curb my spending. It encourages spending as that’s the only way to get buildings, it asks you to buy diamonds to progress faster in the “game” and the spending is only tracked week by week, so I’ve no idea how much of my fortnightly pay is left every second week as nothing is carried over. There’s no reward for not spending anything in a day and no long term goal setting at all. Am disappointed.

Ability to add future Income/Expenses. Would give it 5/5 if the app was able to record future income/expenses instead of having it locked to today and past. I know that this will affect the buildings part of the game but I don’t mind it if I can efficiently add all known future transactions in one go instead of coming back daily. Please make this a feature!

Decent incentivised expense tracker. Not a bad expense tracker, gamifies it so I have a reason to keep adding my expenses and income in. I do wish I could modify the expense types to my own custom text, and maybe an option to export my monthly expense reports. But to be fair I guess this app is aimed for entry level budgeting.

Still using after 3 years. There are things I would change about this app. I mainly use it to encourage good habits.

Interactive and Easy to use.. Alongside tracking my outflow of money, is a really great and interactive game that lets me build a city. It makes you want to track your expenses more often so that you can grow a bigger city! Not only that, but the tracking process is pretty straightforward. You just select in what form you paid, cash or card, and type in the amount you paid followed by selecting what the payment was for... for example, shopping. Then you can title it with say ‘Target’ so you know where exactly your money went.

Fun Personal Financing. I never write a review for an app, but this one really blows my mind. Such a creative way to make tracking our spending fun. I don’t have to worry of forgetting, I’m even keen to open the app and input my spending

Fun way to track your spending. This is a fun way to track your spending, there's just something satisfying about seeing a city being built however for some people it might feel like there's a need to spend to build a city - who knows? It's definitely has my interest, I like logging in my spendings just to see the new things I can get.

Needs a fortnightly recurrent option. Love the tracking and is one of the few apps that I’ve managed to persist with for any length of time. Gathered enough data to set a realistic budget and goals and am now refining. BUT regular income and payments can only be added weekly or monthly - as a salary earner my whole financial life is set to a fortnightly routine and surely I’m not the only one.

Great app, needs a few tweaks. Good incentive to keep track of spending. I find the various menus a bit unintuitive, and could not figure out how to change the opening balance (to reflect what I had in my bank account when I downloaded the app).. also the categories provided are a bit restrictive - where is the grocery category?! However, I am enjoying using it, and think with a few tweaks regarding usability it could be an excellent app.

Pretty fun way to engage with expense tracking. This app is definitely a more interesting way to engage with expense tracking, but there could be some further improvements made such as: 1. Making your bank balance more visible on the city screen. I can only seem to view this from the analytics page, which doesn’t roll over the balance from the previous month? 2. If it doesn’t let you roll over the balance, you should be able to customise when it resets e.g in line with your monthly pay I really enjoy the little missions in the game, helping the citizens!

Very powerful but yet still needs more stability. I have been using Fortune City for over a year and I enjoyed it for the most of the time. It’s easy to set goals and reviews my spending behaviors so as to form a better spending way. However, recently I lost my data since Oct 21. And help center was able to recover my data due to a technical issue. I feel very sad about it as I have been tracking my expenses with great efforts. I hope the system can be stabler. Otherwise, it really wasted my efforts greatly.

Just Started Using. Enjoying the app so far - just wish that it’d logs from a couple of days ago when building shops. My payday was the 16/6 and while it is letting me log it (thanks!) none of those previous purchases go towards the game 😔 At least I have a record of everything 😘

Really Good Idea. Very handy for keeping track of expenses and income. Perfect for helping to remind me when to take a step back and stop spending, as a lot of purchases, even small ones, can really add up after a few days if they are left unchecked. Of course I adore the city building aspect, it motivates me to want to keep an eye on my finances because I may get a cute new building in return! App is really user friendly and makes recording money really simple. Best decision to download it!

A tracker I actually love using. I’ve used a few trackers in the past but never stuck with it, this one is different. The gamification of expense tracking is done really well and there is still a lot you can have fun with even if you don’t have a lot of expenses to add.

Easiest way to budget. I’m absolutely terrible at keeping track of my spendings but it’s so easy with this app, it feels like I’m playing a game and it’s so easy to use, yet it lays out so clearly what you spend and where.

Not a fan 👎🏽. Sorry guys, while the graphics are very cute and the idea is good in theory, I just don't see it as practical app. It rewards you for spending IRL ie you get to build more of your cute little city, which trains your brain to associate "spending = positive action". This is not something I personally want ahaha! It's not much of a game either, nor is it a practical budget tracker. While others may enjoy it, I have to admit it's not for me. ✌🏽

Back to tracking my moneys. Excellent app. I used to use this ages before. Lost track of my money for yrs, and now I come back. Hope I can manage my financial situation again with this app!

Cash Grabbing. I accidentally pressed the button to spend gems to replace the coins I lacked to merge two buildings. There was no message asking whether I wanted to confirm. I spent money on those gems and it’s absolutely ridiculous that not only is the app designed in a way which intentionally makes people accidentally buy gems, but it cost me 200+ gems to merge two level 1 buildings. I sent a message to the app’s support system and received an automated response with terrible grammar, telling me there is no way for me to get my gems back. This has obviously happened to many other people and is a tactic used by other apps to get people to spend the currency they’ve bought with real money.

Good gamification, but not the most useful. The gamification has really helped me to consistently keep track of my spending, which is awesome. But the categories aren’t granular enough for me - how are there no groceries or bills categories?! I’m also not a fan of the subscription model for advanced functionality AND separate diamond purchases either. In short, if you don’t need to be too precise with tracking your spending and you enjoy games, this is for you.

Good so far. I’ve only just started tracking with this app but already I like it, I love the animation style of this tracking game it is very cute. I don’t really know much and I’ll have to keep using it to get used to it but I like it so far

Fun but feels sad when you don’t spend money. I like it but I’ve been recording fake purchases so I can get particular types of buildings and stuff, which runs counter to the purpose of the app

Cool enough. I love the idea behind fortune city, and I adore the other apps such as plant nanny, but I found starting off that everything was a bit unclear. I feel encouraged to spend money in order to gain more buildings and to employ citizens. I’m spending all my gems to merge buildings because I never seem to earn many coins and don’t have enough people to hire to not merge. There’s no real clear instructions on how to utilise the app and I really only play it as a game now.

Fortune City. Fun app that allows you to track your spending for those who are interested in see what they mostly spend their money on. Concept of merging buildings is great. Though I have a large space I don’t know what to do with because I merge all my buildings.

Great game!. Love the game, been using it for several years now. It seems to lag as I continue to play - I assume that’s probably because I haven’t combined or deleted any buildings? Is there any way to bulk delete in multi select mode?

Good app, one suggestion. Overall it’s a good app and makes expense tracking enjoyable. However, one suggestion is to be able to put in ‘income’ for the separate categories - e.g. when a refund is received, instead of only having the option to put it through the income category. This way, actual spendings are indicated

Good but can be improved. Love the idea of it but the game is ironic in the way that to progress, you have to spend every day and track it! Would be better if there was some kind of system that rewards not spending, which is the whole point of the game

Helps a lot with my saving help. This app is great in the way that users are more active in recording their expenses in a form of game. The game is interesting, simply like a trophies collection game connecting to our every tiniest achievements in real life.

Makes me conscious of spending. 2 weeks in, so far I’ve seen a reduction in spending because you’re constantly reminded of how much outgoings you actually have. To all the people saying it encourages spending to progress are looking at it the wrong way, think if it as a way to be more conscious of how often you spend money and a good way to track your budgetand don’t try to min mag the game so much.

Good. A little confusing to begin with but once you move around the app a little more it’s easy. Good incentive to keep track of your money. I started using in the middle of the month so I backtracked to the start and put everything in so I could get a better idea of my spending. I think this will help a lot because I’m more aware of what I’m spending extra money on. Each time I go to make a purchase I think “oh do I really need this? I’l have to put it in the app”.

Fun & cute. Ok so yes, it keeps track of spending. And you only get so many buildings in a day so you’re not adding more, and if you go below that you get free bonus parks. So that discourages you from spending. Not sure how much help it will be long term spending tracking. But I do enjoy it so will keep at it.

Recurrent payment or income setting. At this state, it only allows me to choose every weekday or date of every month. I hope there is an update that allows me to set it like every 2 weeks or every year etc, be more options and can make the date more specific.

Great financial tracker for no spreadsheet users. This app it’s really great for people who can’t look at a spreadsheet or create one to see where all their money is going. I do also like that while yes it has incentives to track everyday there is a no expenses button. I also like the pie charts and how you get rewarded for looking at them. I would like a better zoom but I do love the app.

This is LIFE CHANGING!. So happy with this app, combining fun with something I really needed to do in my life. I have already started to make huge changes to how I do everything just because I could see more clearly where all the dollars were leaking.

Great app to track expenses. I thought I was keeping in track of my expenses, however, after downloading the app and using it, it shows visually where it goes. Amazing app!

Pretty good. Could be better with more adjustable time period setter, and I think it needs to tell people that if they want parks they can't use up all their buildings for that day! That way it discourages spending a little bit more. It's definitely dangerous incentivising spending at the start, but I can see it working quite well for me in the long term when I care less about getting more buildings, but enough that I'm still tracking my spending. I also wish the food category was a bit more split! And maybe a fitness category?

Intriguing app!. I’m a bookkeeper. I also have 3 daughters, who do NOT understand money and the benefits of tracking spending/saving. I think these two things mould our children’s minds.... for the better. How better to make them aware than to turn it into a game? Nice one!

Cute game and idea. It seems more to reward spending though because to get buildings and progress you have to add spending records - up to five per day. I don’t spend five times per day though lol

Great idea, lots of room for improvement. I've waited to write this review because I was hoping they'd fix some nonsense in the game. They haven't... I understand it's not a game to make you save money, but if you're keeping track of your expenses I'm assuming you don't want to spend too much money. The game makes you wanna spend money because you can only have buildings (=jobs for your citizens) if you spend. If they want to gamefy the experience, they should make it make sense. For example, every time you level up your building, you lose jobs and you're not making that much more money. It's not worth it. Parks don't have a lot of variety and are useless. You should get a better reward for not spending money. Anyway, I hope the game improves cause I really enjoy the premise.

fun. so fun

Nice app for expenditure and income balance. 支持推介

Give it a Try!!. This game is great because it makes you record your expenses and be more careful about money while combining a game element!

Cute and efficient. Really fun way to keep track of expenses!

I like the app. Very useful! Had a lot of fun in building the city

Quite enjoyable. Helps me be aware of my spending while scratching that city organization itch. Love it.

Good but I wish it had savings. I really like the city aspect, but because you have to record an entry to get the streak bonuses or more buildings, it kinda encourages me to spend money. I wish there was an option for “No Spend” or “savings”. I did see another user records “$0.01 = No Spend” which is brilliant, but I wish it was built into the app.

Nice App. A very fun way to record all expenses

A fun way to track your finances. Writing down my daily spending has been something that has always been boring but due to the gameplay format of this spending tracker it’s easy and fun too how much you spend!

Cute app. A fun and cute way to keep track of your spending

Might have some problems if you want to use it for a long time. Lovely little app which will make expense tracking quite fun. However, be aware that there will be toooo many buildings after using it for a while, which makes the app glitchy, slow and battery-draining. I also hope that they have some sort of data exporting option, otherwise you will lose all your transactions once you decided not to use the app anymore. So what they need is to make this still as fun after a year, otherwise people are gonna leave and probably leave with a bitter taste in their mouth losing all the data. Hope the developer listens to me.

Very useful and interesting. Like this kind of way to record expenses very much, have been used for a several months. Expecting the higher level of the park and new categories of expenses.👍👍

Really addictive. makes me want to spend more money to get more buildings 😅

Love it. Great way to track expenses

Would love if there was a widget for more convenience. I’m loving it so far and I feel I will be using this app for a very long time but I would love it if there could be a widget option added at some point like there is with plant nanny and to do adventure. I tend to keep all of “journaling” stuff on the very left tab of my phone so I can keep more organized and I’m a little disappointed that this app doesn’t have that option so I can keep it with all of my other stuff like this. Otherwise it’s an awesome app!

Nice & chill. Really love this app

👍🏻. This game is super helpful and fun to play but, I wish that we could invite more than one person every time we get buildings. It’s a little annoying that I have a bunch of empty buildings and I can have workers in them. Otherwise thumbs-up!

Love this app. I’ve been using the app on and off for like two years, and I love it. I don’t think the subscription is necessary, but I would like to support the creators in a way. I love this way of visualizing my spendings and I love the fact I can use the app without being attacked by loads of ads.

Option for no spending?. I’m so happy I came across this tracker (and the rest of the fourdesire apps!) but as someone that’s trying to spend *less* while still wanting to track everything, it would be nice to have an option for “didn’t spend”! That way it would still count as tracking expenses even though you didn’t buy anything. (For now, I’m just using a category as ‘no buy’ and putting it at $0.01. But an actual button would be lovely!!)

城市很好用,但寬度沒有符合所有介面. 我使用12.9吋的螢幕,記帳時所有快捷按鈕全部看不見。主畫面也太大無法縮小,能看到的內容超級少。使用體驗比手機的差了非常多。

Simple yet amazing. Great and simple way to keep track of your money, easy to understand and use, plus you get to have a little bit of fun growing your city!

Ads. So many ads!. More game than budget device but it’s cute. The ads really make the game chug though and I hope they fix that soon

Cute and helpful. Cute themes and this app helped me track my expenses

Not worth it. Had this years ago and it was nice till it stopped working. I’ve missed it so came back to it to find out that what use to be free is now in the paid part. Sorry for a basic budget of how much in and how much out is not worth it. If I’m going to pay for an app it should have no permissions. As a fun building app it’s ok.

Great concept...?. This game makes me look at my financials more than I normally would, making me make better budget decision but also means less buildings... but it’s fun nonetheless

Glitchy. I like the app but recently the more buildings I acquire the more slow it is to run. Sometimes I can barely move across the city because it’s so glitchy.

牛逼. 牛逼

Budgeting can be fun. Love building my city while keeping track of my finances.

Nice app. Great tips

loved it but too many ads. I have been using this app for the last couple of months, have been loving it so far. But after the recent update, many ads starts popping up.

Cute!. But always felt like I’m gonna spend more

Cute and fun. Useful app to remind how much I spend each day

Very useful app!. Very helpful! Like it!

Fun app. It’s a really fun app, it has lots of cute little things to keep you entertained and come ing back, you don’t have to pay to enjoy it but there are better options when you pay. It’s really cute and I personally really like it!

😕. Was great until you got rid of like half the categories. I re-downloaded the app on another device and now they’re gone. I have to make my own and reorganize everything. Please fix

什么时候可以多人记账或共享账本. 用了3年多了非常喜欢,可惜不可以多人记账,或者共享账本,什么时候可以开发出这个功能啊,其他app都有

K3r9e. Awesome!!!

Very useful. I really love this app, functionality and all. However, I wish you can move the cursor with the space button when typing. And I hope you can actually zoom out all the way. Other than these two annoying bits I love using this app to keep track of my expenses!

Good start. It is a good starting point for me to start keeping track of my expenses, because it is cute and is more than just numbers. I like the idea of building my city like this, but don’t really like how it leaves a lot or empty buildings because I can’t invite enough people. Also, it was a bit hard to understand all the features at first.

Super cute. Love the art. I look forward to logging all my expenses because the city is just so cute!

Fun and useful. the game concept makes it very easy to track my spendings

Love this app. It is just such a solid money tracker love the different icons and categories and most importantly the pie chart, along with being able to set any timeframe you want and see you spending/earning during that time also love the simple city building, the art design is very cute and the buildings can be merged quite alot

Great tracker. Great for tracking how much money you spend and also makes it fun

Division and multiplication function. We need a new functionality for dividing and multiplying when entering bills! Much more efficient when doing bookkeeping

Great app. Addicting. It grabs attention well and makes it easy to see if I have money to spend, if I’m spending too much, etc.

A Novel Way to Track Expenses. I've used a few gamified tracking apps for various things in my life, but this is the only one that is unobtrusive enough to use. It doesn't make any demands about your budget. In fact, sending money is always a good thing, so long as you write it down. This app isn't about limiting you to a budget so much as it is about helping you remember to keep track of it.

Probably Data Mining. Also has monthly subscription. But it’s cute and makes visual aid charts for you

Good way to start managing finances. Easy way to get into budgeting. Cute design.

Cashy bug?. Casey permanently has the gold star bubble over him. Originally I thought this was to tell you that the app had an update available, but I have the most updated version. So now ever time I poke him to talk, I'm sent immediately to the app store page for this app, but there's no update. Considering how I have both the Cashy statue and the monument park which has a smaller Cashy statue, it's a bit jarring that I can't talk to him anymore. Please fix. Sometimes I accidentally tap him as well, and being sent to the app store every time is very annoying—especially when it's not even for a good reason.

Kinda confusing. Not really sure how to use the budgeting statistics after purchasing the annual pass. Also once you reach the civic center level, you are required to invite friends in order to have events like farmers markets. I don’t really like this for a number of reasons. One being, I’ve already paid for my subscription, why do I HAVE to invite people I order to play every part of a game I already paid for? No one likes getting invited to use apps, or being the loser inviting people to use apps… I also have no friends no friends to invite, am I the loser?

It’s been 3 days. Can’t load this app on iOS with Facebook SSO. I’m starting to regret how much I rely on this app to track expenses and now I have absolutely no access to my own records. I’ve left message on Facebook and now I’m here to leave this review in hopes of better user support/ service. Updated a day after this review is public: thanks for responding my message on Facebook and informing update via email. This app works now.

Great tool. Actually really helpful. I am still using the free version but I plan to upgrade once I can afford it because I have always struggled at managing my finances but this has been helpful in keeping track of what I’m spending and I make my husband report to me so everything stays straight.

So cute! I just wish it also had a more advanced financial side. Lol I wish it made me want to save money more than spend it to record my expenses and get new buildings. I haven’t recorded my income yet tho so I will see what happens. I wish there was a way we could input our bank account total along with monthly payments and stuff. I wish it was more accounting based.

Great for spending, not so much saving. It’s a super fun app that keeps me wanting to come back. It’s easy to keep track of my finances. It took me a bit to get used to the controls, but it was easy to remember after learning. I wish there was a bigger incentive to save money rather than simply inputting expenditures. It’s nice that parks are generated with any leftover slots that weren’t used for transactions, but parks don’t really contribute a lot to the city. Love the app, just wish they rewarded for not spending money.

Functional and Entertaining. I use to keep all my spendings in an excel file, which worked perfectly fine. But simply having an intuitive interface readily available on a device I have with me at all times makes it that much more convenient to record purchase information. Ads are kept to a minimal, design is great, and data is presented well. Highly recommended.

A great way to budget. I find myself opening the app daily just to check on the town. The graphics are nice the animations are splendid. I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about this service. Though I do wish parks could be built without the need to skip recording expenses. It incentivizes me to be dishonest about my spending for a few days so that parks can be built. But other than that overall a good app.

Great for teens!. I love this tracker it’s a lot of fun to interact with and also keeps me mindful of my purchases so I can understand how much of my money is going to needs and wants. It helps me budget wisely and consider if a purchase is really necessary. Would 100% recommend. There’s also very few ads in the free version which I enjoy.

Best App so far for helping track my spending. This game really makes it fun to track my spending. I was able to see how much and how frequently I was spending on take out and buying lunch! It really helped curb my spending and it’s fun to see new buildings pop up and merge buildings to get bigger ones. So fun, I check this multiple times a day!

Love it so far!. Ive only had it for 2 days but I already find myself jumping to note down all my expenses as they happen... and realizing how they add up! Super helpful and super fun. The rules are a little confusing in the beginning but once you get the hang of it, the game is cute, fun, and addictive! I love how creative the notifications are and I appreciate the diversity of the characters.

Good tracker, Odd game. It only lets me build for only so many expenditures per day or you have to buy large amounts of diamonds to get more builders. Also you have to build too many buildings per citizen. Never get enough citizens to fill jobs already got. Great tracker IF you ignore the weird hoops you have to jump through to play the game. For instance, keep track of spending despite not being able to build. Should get more diamonds if you download advertised app instead of wasting so much money “buying” builders.

Cute and Fun, but limited. My primary goal in budgeting is to understand how I can best optimize my spending to save, to invest, and to grow my income. For this reason, I would like to request that the game developers add an investment or savings category, so that when I am saving money, I still get a new building. For now, I log my investments as a miscellaneous expense, but it would be nice to have the game recognize my good habits, as well as providing incentive to track my expenses.

So cute!. I’ve just started using this and I think it is a really cute and fun way to track finances; couple of things I wish you could back log finances if you forget to put them in Needs more categories I think it’s a tiny bit confusing to operate sometimes and could use a bit more of a tutorial

Really Cute and Helpful. I'm a student who just recently got her first job, and this app has been a lifesaver for tracking my income and spendings. It's really adorable and motivates me to keep up with tracking. I also like to keep track of the money my parents spend on me so I can calculate my general life expenses. Gamefied enough so you remember to open the app and log your daily spendings, but not so much it doesn't actually help productivity.

Excellent money tracking app. Apart of the nice user interface and game, this is a very excellent and effective expenses tracking app, I find it better than many of they other applications I have tried before, you can easily have log different currencies, very useful when I travel, multiple accounts Beside the fun part of the game is interesting

Problems with subscription plan.. I really like this app, but i bought the monthly subscription plan, to delete the ads and even know I am paying every month for the subscriptions the app will still show ads and say I need to subscribe. Is there anyway you can fix this if not I will probably unsubscribe because it’s acting like I’m not subscribed anyways?

Cute app that does what I need it to 👍🏻. The app and the concept of the app are really cute. I found myself excited to put in expenses everyday to get new buildings and grow my city. I became more mindful of purchases because I began asking myself if I “need” this thing before checking out. The free version does everything I need, so that’s nice. The only downfall is on no spend days I don’t get any new buildings haha

Simple but pleasing. This is basically the only expense tracking app I've managed to use for longer than a week mostly because it's easy, fun, quick to do and it only reminds me to login once a day instead of every 5 seconds. That being said, it could use a couple of options for more customizablility. More or customizable categories, for example. Overall a pretty great and functional app

Very cute, and very intriguing. I have only been playing this game/using this service for a day, but it has already started to make me think more about my daily expenses and how I'm keeping track of them. This is the most in-depth real-world-based game I've ever played. I came here from Plant Nanny! This is another quality product from FourDesire.

Omg!!. I just started the app and man I love it! It’s adorable! And pretty nice tbh, only reason I gave it a 4 star is because it lumps my debit and credit balances together so it looks like I have way more than I actually do. I want to be able to switch between both accounts and see I have $5,000 credit and $500 debit. It would be amazing if it had that option and just make the buildings separate too.

Relaxed way to view spending habits. I love this app with a lot of budgeting apps I feel bad if I buy anything that’s not a necessity like shamed by the app lol but this app makes everything cute and fun idk if it really helps me budget but it’s nice being able to have an honest view of how I’m spending my money without feeling like I need to lie to the app. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is I wish there were more icons. Like it’s 2019 everyone smokes weed there needs to be an icon for that 😂

Way cooler than other expense tracking apps. Every other finance app is Boring with a capital B. This app is fun, simple, not too cluttered, relatively easy to navigate once you get the hang of it. Most importantly, it’s something I actually want to check throughout the day instead of being terrified to see what my bank account looks like, or overwhelmed by big red letters telling me that I eat at bojangles more than necessary.

Great app but could be better. This is probably one of the best apps I’ve found to track my spending the way it does. I like the charts it has to show me where all my money is going. My only complaints like the majority, is the it kinda pushes for you to spend money rather than save. It also doesn’t carry over your income balance from one month to the next, which makes it kinda difficult to track my balance as a whole.

Great expense tracker. It does a great job of keeping track of your expenses. It makes it seem like a game where the more often you buy stuff the better your city, but it also limits how many times a day you can build a building which helps limit down the amount of times you spend money each day. Overall I find it to be very helpful.

So far so good!. So far I’ve really enjoyed this money tracking game. I’ll even ask my husband “what did you buy today” and it’s not longer a judgement question but a quest to fill up my little town and get my buildings to the next level. For me it’s been a slow paced game because I don’t spend that much, but still enjoying earning the rewards and building up my little city!

Amazing!. I super like this game! I started using it as a way to make tracking my expenses a habit and this is a great way to do that. I was a little concerned that this game would make me want to spend more money just to build it up, but it hasn’t yet. I am perfectly satisfied with just track the stuff I already spend. You should definitely try this!

Trendy and Spendy. The system itself is really easy to use and easy to understand. The categories have easy to understand and memorable visuals/symbols. Furthermore, the art style is really cute and boxy. The colors are more pastel and thus almost have a calming effect. The notifications are really unobtrusive, so I don’t mind receiving them. However, the one thing is that the system/game itself almost urges me to spend more to get more buildings. 😂

Fun way to keep track of your money!. I always wondered where my money was going every week. Fortune City has helped a ton in seeing what things I buy that I don’t need, along with a really fun city building mechanic. You’ll almost look forward to logging your daily spending habits.

Good for tracking. Fun game that helps me make a habit of tracking my expenses. It rewards you for tracking which ends up rewarding by you for spending, which is strange, but it’s not a big deal. If you need help budgeting, the free version doesn’t seem to be great for that, mostly just tracking. Apparently the paid version has budgeting options though.

Great way to track expenses. My aunt introduced me to this app. The interface is cute and easy to use. I like that in the free mode, I can create my own categories to better organize and track my expenses. This app helped to see where I spent most of my money (on food and coffee ...hahaha). If you are a visual person like me, you will enjoy using this colorful and cute app.

Expense tracking made fun!. I have literally never been able to track my expenses for more than two days at a time - or I end up doing it all at once at the end of a month which is a huge pain. This game is so cute and fun, it’s made me into the type of person who immediately tracks everything I spend. Love it!! Fun and functional!

I use it everyday!!. My favorite!! I love the mechanics and spending info it provides. Definitely makes me more mindful of my spending without explicitly making me feel guilty. Allows me to make changes for myself. Only suggestion is maybe give diamonds to subscribers? Or some more perks? Not sure exactly but still love this app

So much fun!. This game helps me keep track of finances without it being remotely boring. There’s always little things you can do in the app. The characters are cute and finance tracking system has been perfect so far. Has really helped force me to be aware of what I’m spending every day.

Inaccurate visual representation. Inaccurate visual representation of where your money actually goes. The building mechanics is based on the frequency of spending instead of the amount. Example: I eat out 20 times. $10 each. I spend $200 on food category. I buy an iPad Pro $1200. Now I spend $1200 on digital category. I spent on digital 6 more times than food this month I built only one digital store, compared to 20 restaurants. Now visually you know what’s more prominent in my city. It’s very misleading telling me I has spent more on food and that’s not true. I downloaded this game and thought that it would help me visualize my spending accurately + the fun of building the city. This game only deliver half of my expectation.

So Far.... I’ve only had this for a week, but I’m really liking it. The game part keeps me coming back to put in my purchases and the best benefit is knowing what my TRUE bank balance is. Because my bank is kinda slow at updating my totals, I’ve had some trouble with overspending because I forget about what hasn’t yet deducted. This app has taken away that stress for me. 👍 I haven’t given full stars because it’s so new to me right now.

Cool!. This app is a fun way to keep track of expenses. It’s nice that I can customize each category to tailor it for my needs. As for the actual interface, it’s very clean and cute. However, I feel like some of the features are a bit small or confusing. For example, the button to confirm the actual record is a small checkmark that kind of blends into the rest of the interface.

Cute Budgeting App!. I didn’t think I’d find another program after Microsoft Money fizzled out. Slowly logging receipts to maximize entries seems to be the way to go, being able to see income and expenses visually as well as over time, making categories is pretty simple and fun! Now I have a lot less paper around the house! The only downside I’ve really run into is trying to add friends, it just seems pretty confusing and not sure if it’s just a wording issue.

Beautifully designed, but.... It does neither thing very well. It is not a good game, and it is not a good expense tracking app. In the game department, you are severely limited in the number of things you can do to grow your city. You can only build a certain number of buildings a day, and the amount of things you can do is very limited. In the expense tracking department, it doesn’t offer any advanced expense tracking features. It just does a simple grouping and provides monthly summary in the form of a pie chart. The combination works well, and I must say the game element does incentivize me to track my expenses. The app’s art direction is great. But I think if it did either thing better, it would be deserving of five stars.

Excellent App. This is a very enjoyable app to track purchases. I went on vacation and wanted to make sure I didn’t go over budget, and this app was very helpful in doing that. I actually was disappointed in myself when I forgot to log in for a day and lost my login bonus. It is a fun way to budget, and it is definitely an app that will be staying on my phone.

Cute simple and functional. If you’re bad at keeping a habit, this is great for you. There’s addicting game concepts that draw you in to regularly reporting your expenses. Customizing your little city is such a joy, tbh. It’s free and simple and it’s easy to get the paid content if you’re down to see some ads! Can’t speak to the paid content, because I am cheap, but I am totally in love with the game and am considering paying for it

Cute, but Flawed. This app is a cute idea of rewarding you with towns members and buildings for tracking your expenses, but it is inherently flawed. If the point is to save money, this isn’t the best way to do it. If I have a day where I spend no money at all, I get dinged for not tracking that day. You can also buy upgrades within the app with real money (in-app purchases) which is definitely counterintuitive. Cute idea if you just want to track, but not great for those trying to save money (if you’re really invested in your little town)!

Wonderful Visualization Tool!. This app really helps me track and visualize my budget. I am very much a person that learns through looking at something and this app is wonderful for that. It helps me really quantify how much I’m spending. On top of that the game aspects are just plain fun. It encourages me to come back and track everything! All in all, this is a really great app!

Really cute game!. I have been keeping track of my spending just so I can continue to expand my city! Not that it’s keeping me from spending money or helping me figure anything out, but I just like to see my city expand. My only suggestion would be to add a credit option. It’s hard to pick a category for paying towards credit cards, and I would love to see how that adds up.

Pretty neat. I’ve tried a lot of expense trackers, but it would be nice if there were more options like groceries. To me, food is what I track as my going out to eat. Definitely feel like this will encourage me to track my spending. Edit: I really wish that there was some type of reward for days that you either spend nothing or spend under a certain threshold. Currently it’s almost encouraging me to spend more because I want to get more buildings.

Best app to track finances. I never was able to track my finances because it was always too tedious or I would forget too. This app makes it really easy to keep track of everything because it’s very interactive and it makes you want to record your expenses. This app almost makes me want to spend more money just so I can get more buildings. Love the concept of this app and the execution of it is great!

Better than my previous budgeting app. I had a different app that I used regularly but not only are the graphics more incentive to use this one but the ad placement is not as disruptive. The only downside is I’m not sure it’s designed for missing a day; but an easy fix would be to math out how much per day one spends on subscriptions to overcome that; and perhaps get a better idea for themselves how much they are paying.

Fun and engaging. Clever concept to help you track your expenses. Only complaint is that is doesn’t really encourage you to save money. It rewards you for the number of expenses you have, so you have to spend real world money if you want to build more edifices. And it’s free reporting/analytics are really rudimentary without a paid subscription. Why don’t they just sell the app for a one-time $5 fee? I believe a lot more people would purchase it that way.

Highly Recommend. Managing income and expenses is always something I've wanted to do, but finding the right way to do so was a major challenge that I faced. This app makes management a breeze, as well as something that I feel compelled to do every day. I would recommend this app to anyone, even those lacking in motivation to keep track of their monetary income and outcome.

Amazing way to keep track of your expenses!. First of all when you download the app it immediately tells how to use it and how you can benefit from using the app then once your actually using it it makes “ balancing your checkbook “ so much fun and all the characters are so cute!
