Getting worse. This app and the cameras get worse and worse with each update. They have an ever increasing hard time connecting and giving video. Even when they do connect they have a good connection for a few minutes and then it suddenly goes bad. From over 100kb/s to 37kb/s or less. Also the sound only lasts for a short time and then goes silent even though I didn’t mute it. These problems occur even with the camera only two feet from the router. I can’t constantly watch the feed, I have to keep going back to the home page and select the camera I want to watch again and again just to keep a good connection and be able to hear the sound.

False advertising. If you do not pay for the monthly recording service and click “unlock full clip” you are prompted to subscribe for $20 a month. Once you do that it starts recording from that moment. So if you wanted to see what happened before and or after the clip, you cannot... Even though you are led to believe that is what will be available. There was a recorded clip that we needed to see what happened just after the clip around 9:45am. Once we noticed and paid for the subscription clicking “unlock full clip” and paying $20 it was just after 10:10am and that was when it started recording. We cannot go back before we made payment. So clicking “unlock full clip” is a scam to get you to pay $20 in a hurry to find you can’t get what was advertised and paid for...

Endless Ads and Fairly Certain I’m Being Watched. Bought this camera in 2020. Was told the app was free, which it is, but the service for constant recording is a monthly fee. It does take a card, so I thought that I would use the app for long-distance live monitoring. Since fall of last year, I receive ads for the monthly fee EVERY SINGLE DAY. I can’t turn off notifications since this has motion sensor detection - not that is has every notified me of my building’s maintenance being in my apartment. It DOES notify me every time a tiny fruit fly floats in front of the lens. Super helpful, right? Most concerning is that this “randomly” scans my room when I’m home at night. I always point the camera at my front door to get a better look at whoever comes into my apartment. Why have I noticed it pointed back at me on my couch on the opposite side of the room on more than one occasion? I don’t know for certain that I’m being surveilled by people running this app. One time is maybe understandable? After the 5th time of me noticing, absolutely not. All this is far too coincidental for me. Will unplug this device and find a less creepy option.

Sound won’t stay on since app update.. I loved this camera for the most part until some recent updates to the app. It has worked great for months and then all of a sudden after an update where the look of things changed, the sound would no longer stay on. After a couple of minutes the sound on the video feed stops and I have to toggle the sound off and back on to get it on again. This is seriously inconvenient as a baby monitor without sound, especially at night. There was an update where the app seemed to revert visually to what is was before and it worked again. But now it’s back to not working. If this gets fixed I’ll give this camera 4 stars because honestly the only drawbacks of the camera otherwise are the clicking sound when going between day and night vision and the sound it makes when the camera randomly reboots.

Camera review. Both myself and my wife love the cameras we have. They are clear and mobile and convenient. Everything we could have asked for from a camera. One of two issues I have is that the cameras reset every so often while viewing. What makes this particularly annoying is that both cameras were purchased for our child while they are sleeping. When the camera resets however, it lags from view and rings and rotates waking up our child almost always. Is there a fix to this?! Secondly, the app is very easy to use. We love the alerts and the control aspect for the camera. My second and last complaint is that with the new update game ads....like really....it’s a camera. Not a game. I don’t think ads are necessary. Otherwise, great product. We’ve talked about buying another for other parts of our home.

Camera itself is great.... Though for whatever reason at times it has a hard time staying connected to the WiFi and every so often the camera has to reset... in the middle of the night. When it does this it makes a loud ring sound which wakes everyone up. Second, not a fan of the new update. Before we were able to do a playback while on the live feed. Now, we have to go out of the live feed and maneuver around into alerts to sometimes be able to get playback. But, overall very much enjoy that I can use my phone as a monitor and the versatility of motion detection, baby crying, and panning is great.

Scary cameras. I bought this because of 5G capabilities and the idea of a hidden camera is good. For the first couple of months I am impressed it works as advertised. I can see my house easily and fast, check what’s going on. After 6 months the trouble started. The app is very slow to none to respond . The most scary part is it scans the surroundings as if it is looking for something. It will focus on us and then move around and we are not moving at all. It’s seem like someone is controlling the device. My wife even said maybe they are watching and listening to us.I checked the recordings on the sd cards and I saw nothing. I disconnected and reset it, checked the updated firmware. It still the same, the bad part is it keeps me asking to sign up for cloud services which I don’t want to. I erased the app and reloaded it and nothing. Can’t return it. Planning of buying a branded one. Buy this if you want someone is checking on you, lol .

Premium Cloud Garbage!!. This app was forced upon me to run a camera I purchased. It works okay, automatic tracking with this software for the camera is a joke. When it senses motion it turns itself towards the wall. Yes that’s annoying but NOT as annoying as the constant barrage of this stupid $100 a year cloud storage that I am never going to purchase, NOR do I want!!! There is no way to shut this annoying notification it down and when I go to view an event I can’t view it because of this “cloud storage “ notification! Enough already!! If I wanted it I would buy it. Time to let users deny this storage option and not have to see that junk again!

Not having problems. I wonder if I have the one camera that works? No issues to get it working and I regularly move it around the house plug it in a open the app and it seams to reconnect without issues. I’m thinking everyone having problems probably needs to look at the security settings on Wi-Fi modem/ routers and have a strong signal so the camera can communicate and make sure your using 2.4GHz setting up. It’s cloud service is not something I’m interested in as it seems full of privacy issues. It is a low level budget system that surprisingly works great but I probably jinxed myself and tomorrow will crap out lol….

Automated response.. Every complaint has been the same overpriced can’t do anything unless you buy a subscription subscription is overpriced so many people have said don’t buy it not worth the price and all we get is automated responses to be honest. If that’s the best you guys have your company will go under. and my recommendation to anybody that has a subscription to this cancel it. Because it is way over price for what you’re getting. Automated apologies and go to a website that’s probably going to hack your system anyways nothing but a scam should be brought up on charges for this garbage. May be a lawyer should be getting involved and do a class action.

Excellent. I got this cámara on my baby Registry And to be honest I was a little skeptic with the price but I was reading the reviews and I saw a lot of good reviews and let me tell you I don’t regret one bit on putting this on my registry. camera Quality is pretty good easy to install easy to download on your phone the view is very clear, and it has all the features I need and more,I really don’t know what other expensive cameras offers But I believe this have everything I need. so only if the expensive cameras can cook ,clean and ironed clothes then that make will make a deal. Update: cámara was working good for a few months About ( 3 months). Now It’s on night vision all day, it resets a lot, and for a few weeks i had “ the cámara is offline issue “ I’ve send them the issue about not having day time vision but I had no respond. I was hoping when I saw the update i will get it but NO!.

Superb value!. Researched tons of cameras, ended up buying a permanent wall mounted system for about $120 that I’m satisfied with. But recently we needed a portable version for a family vacation, and purchased this one. WOW! Should’ve bought this from the beginning! Picture quality is “good enough” for the price, and the ability to move the camera lens remotely & zoom is AWESOME! Don’t be like me and keep thinking about it. Don’t waste any more time. Alert issues. Before the most recent update I would get alerts when my baby would cry or if there was loud sounds. Since the update it won’t allow me to turn on the sound alert. Every time I go to turn it on it just switches back off. Also I usually leave the live video on at night Incase my baby cries to feed but since the last meet update after about 10-15 minutes the sound stops playing. It’s not muted or anything it just stops. Used to love this camera so much I would have given it a 5/5 but since the update it really isn’t as good as it used to be. If the bugs get fixed I would gladly change my rating a review.

Terrible change with update!!. We loved this camera for use as a baby monitor until this most recent update. Previously the app would stay running on your phone with live picture and volume. But now it times out and the screen goes blank after about two minutes. I tried changing the setting on my phone so that the screen never shuts off which fixes the picture portion, but after about 5 minutes the sound mutes. I was primarily using this so I could hear when my toddle was getting out of bed in the middle of the night. Now this app and camera is Completely useless to me. Is there anyway to go back to the previous version ???

Not built for iPAD. The app works okay but I don’t use it on a phone, but rather on my iPAD. It is annoying that I can’t get the camera display to display full screen in horizontal mode. It just enlarges the display somewhat and rotates it so it is sideways. If I rotate my iPAD it rotates the display. I would like to be able to enlarge the display in whatever mode I am in on the iPAD (Landscape or portrait). I also agree with another reviewer that two of my cameras will beep then rotate 360 degrees at odd hours any time during the day for no apparent reason. Very annoying and the camera does NOT return to it’s previous position so I have to constantly reset it.

Used to be Great. I always appreciated that I could use my Sd cards for storage without needing a cloud subscription, view 30 second recordings, and manage Sd cards from the app when they needed to be wiped. All that changed with one of the most recent updates. I can no longer do any of those things and now I can’t get the app to connect so I can view. Even if I have just looked at it moments prior it, will suddenly want me to check camera connection. They are pushing cloud storage so hard now, I can no longer view 30 second recordings or do anything with my Sd cards. What’s the point of even having that feature if I can no longer do anything with it. Very frustrated with these, money hungry, changes.

Overly sensitive yet not at the same time. Annoying. This system has some great features like the alarm, automatic flood light, talk through, and motion alerts. To be fair there are tons of other options out there with these same features at a similar price. You will receive 40+ minimum notifications in a 24 hr span of recordings of the trees swaying, bugs flying around, birds, etc (things that I don’t care about). But it WONT record people coming in and out of the house 80% of the time which is the whole point of this (my neighbor broke into our house). Even with the highest sensitivity it would miss most entrance and exit occasions but would be happy to send me a recording of the trees swaying. The alarm sound is a great idea but it will turn on if bugs fly in front of it. Same with the flood light. It’s not very “smart” as the name implies. Very very annoying and needs a software overhaul.

Does not record actual activity. I just installed the camera. About every 10 minutes the camera gets active and transmits a short video. In between the 10 minutes interval it appears that the camera does not film. Even when I am going direct I front of the camera it doesn’t film. It appears it is programmed to film every 10 minutes and doesn’t in between even with activity. This renders the camera useless because if something happens in between the 10 minutes I would miss it. That means that the recording is not motion activated. It could still act as a deterrent just having it there but that’s about all it does.

Support issues without refund. Worked with online customer service for the 1st 40 days of setting up camera. Couldn’t get the camera and app to fine tune motion to not pick up on sunshine shadows. Rep told me to return the camera to supplier. I did and requested to cancel subscription which was 1 week passed the 30 day trial. Rep advised no refunds after 30 days even though I’d been working with several reps to get camera/app working without success. They then suggested their camera and more months of monitoring. I’ve already prepaid for yearly subscription with no satisfaction and no camera connected with no help from reps. With each request for help there was always days of delay between help which didn’t allow for fixing issues within the first 30 days. Seems like a business ploy to delay service response so no one will get a refund if app doesn’t work with camera. And then they push their cameras. Very disappointed with experience and lack of refund for the remaining months of unusable service. Please be advised… do not prepay for subscription because the service might not truly be compatible with your camera even though it’s the suggested app.

App almost useless. We bought these about 8 months ago. They worked perfectly for about 5 months then they started to randomly go offline or freeze up. Now they won’t catch anything at all. People pull up at our shop and home and nothing is detected. Woke up this morning and found the app had updated to where I can select person/vehicle/animal detection but only the animal detection works. The other two will not “turn on” it keeps saying “setting failed, please try again later”. I’ve been trying for 4 hours. I’m paying $15 a month for nothing. Should have paid more for better cameras & service.

Good Quality images but.... After multiple car break-ins our neighborhood we installed the pan cam outside our garage. While It has good quality images - there are major issues with the app. I get regular alerts for bugs flying around or shadows from the sun but not people in our driveway trying to break into cars. One morning a neighbor’s car alarm went off so I happened to glance at the clock. Then another neighbor let us know their car had been broken into. I had no alerts (other than bugs) so I checked the playback around the time I heard the car alarm (had I not known the approx time I would have likely never found the footage due to no alert and the lack of functionality in the app). Sure enough we had people in our driveway checking several of our cars...but no alerts even though at times the person was dead center in the image and not trying to hide. My spouse also leaves the house early each morning and maybe 10% of the time the camera gives me an alert from his movement including a car pulling out of our driveway. Another negative is that to review any playback there is NO fast forward or pause functionality. So if you want a good camera and app just to check in on live feed and aren’t worried about alerts - this will do the job. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend.

Need an update ( loops recording). The camera is cool and does a decent job of recording. However, it has a lot of flaws. For one it’s doesn’t have a fast forward button or a way to watch the video fast. You have to sit there and watch the video slow. Second, the motion detector is subpar at best. It always shows bugs flying into the camera but it doesn't show when something major happens(Unless you have the camera rolling all the time) Overall the camera is good but few updates here and there would make this app even better. Is it possible to have loop recording for prowl using a memory card? That would go a long way.

Confuse instructions, not clear. Call one the camera needs a charge cord at all times customer needs to run a stitching cord from one end to the other before the camera will actually turn on but I like the camera I just don’t like to set up. I had it up it wouldn’t work. I took it down plug the card into the wall camel beats but my house can’t have a car running around it just for the two cameras that I brought. I’m very sorry that I can’t get it connected to my phone without the card being connected to the camera so I suggest y’all advertise the instructions more clearly cause it does not see in these to have the wire to it, and please send the instruction sheets, more clearer, to specify the set up. Thank you.

The. Worst.. I am so frustrated at this camera and app. First of all, it’s supposed to be a baby monitor, yet the camera restarts in its own and has a very loud chime sound that it plays when it does. Why?!?! Secondly, if you have a slight amount of light coming into the room, it’ll switch between the normal camera and night vision, which is a very loud click each time. Back and forth, back and forth. You can hear it in the room AND over the app. So annoying. And lastly, the recent app update is the worst. Most of my issues were with the camera and not the app, until a few days ago. Now, the app removed the time stamp on the live feed, which was very helpful to see at a glance, both for the obvious reason and because sometimes the feed freezes. But now I don’t know when it’s done that. It also changed in that I had to actually change my lock screen settings to “never lock,” when before I could just open the live feed and it would stay on. And my last grievance with the app is that now after a short period of time, the sound goes silent as if it’s muted, but it’s not. So I’m now I’m relying on hearing my child cry through closed doors instead of through the monitor app open right next to me. Don’t get the camera. And don’t get the app. I’m ready to ditch both.

NOT FREE - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. We have had this camera for almost 3 years and have never had to purchase a “cloud” to view the short 6 second clips. Now, after an unfortunate event that took place outside our home we are being forced to BUY a “cloud” in order to view ANY alerts (6 seconds). What a waste of a perfectly great business that I will no longer use or recommend. I get you need to make money , but really? There’s plenty of people that pay that stupid amount but unfortunate for us that use it for real time protection and are NOT notified of any changes being made until AFTER the fact. What a SICK way of running a “business”. I’ll keep scrolling to look for other recommendations!

Could be better. I have this at my front door and it’s protected under an overhang. I have to have the sensor set to low because otherwise I get recordings if the sunlight changes or even a shadow appears. I don’t like that in order to view the entire clip recording that you have to purchase a subscription, otherwise all you can view even with having the memory card inserted is a 6 second clip. 6 seconds doesn’t show anything! To top it off with the subscription you have the option of 1 or 5 cameras nothing in between and it’s pricey. If I had known of this prior to ordering 2 cameras I would not have ordered them at all. There’s no option to view the entire clip recordings without buying the subscription and it will only go back so many days so if you need to look over something that happened over a month ago your out of luck. Not thrilled with the amount of money I’m still paying out after buying the cameras. Thank goodness not everything I buy is like this.

Trash. I just received the camera. The only good thing I can say is it shows a clear picture if you can view it. I had to try 4 times to connect to Wi-Fi then when the motion detector is turned on, it turns the wrong way and never sets back in place. I can’t even view what’s going on because the app constantly crashes when I try to view the video it freezes my entire phone and closes out. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and also reset the camera several times. It also send me several alerts throughout the day of it sensing something and it’s nothing there so I’m guessing it’s just the spirits in my house playing with the camera lol. You can’t view the playback unless you purchase a subscription which is very pricey. It’s just not worth it get you some real security cameras that you can trust.

Do not buy. Very frustrating!!!. I have had this camera for about 8 months now bc I don’t live in the greatest neighborhood and my fiancés window got busted out nothing was stolen tho thank god but I purchased this bc I wanted to surveillance our cars. Chunks of footage are missing from the play back and it’s very frustrating. No fuse has been blown electric didn’t go out and then this morning at 3:19 am it was rotated towards the ground and never repositioned!!! So good for having footage or proof if something was to happen to our vehicles!!! Very unhappy with this service the camera is clear nigh vision is good but the function of it is terrible. Take my advice and put your money towards one that is not junk!!!

Beware, Not as Advertised. I declined the premium cloud subscription and when the app asked why I declined the premium Cloud service, I chose from the list of reasons the option to only use my SD Card which I purchased New and worked great but the app keeps bombarding me with SD Card Corrupted, it’s Not. So because I won’t purchase the Extremely High Priced Cloud Subscription the app will Not Allow me to See My Alerts because, You Guessed it I won’t Purchase the expensive Cloud Service. I Do Not Keep hundreds of surveillance Videos Nor Do I Ever intend to Keep. I delete them as they come up. Yeah sure there’s a Free Trial and a temporary Special Offer but after the Price goes up. I pulled my Cameras and I asked for a Refund, Im deleting This app

Needs Landscape Mode for iPad….. App is generally good, but please make a version that landscape mode actually works in for IPad or MacBooks. Landscape only works on an iPhone. Would also be nice to be able to easily change WIFI networks, as you can’t do this currently, and some of us have multiple WIFI networks. The 1080p FHD mode is also nice, but it has to manually be turned on, constantly. If there was a setting to constantly keep it on, and upload in this mode to the cloud, that would be nice. Final request…if the app could be used side-by-side (on one screen) with other apps on iPad, as this is not currently available.

Works good without direct wire. I bought because of a sell price. Kept having connections and the manufacture sent a replacement real fast. I have been using for over a year. It has same issue as much more expensive Night Owl cameras I have. It does not catch very slow or very fast movement. Don’t like only six seconds even using SD card on my phone app. The nice thing is on my computer I can view everything on the SD card.

Camera motions. I got the camera a few weeks ago it was working perfectly fine, now the camera won’t move or dictate any kind of motions or movements that goes on it just stares at the ceiling all day it won’t look down for some reason it says that it can’t go down, I have to manually move it to look down so I can see what’s going when I’m in another room, I use it for my dogs to watch them when I’m not around or close by, but if it just stares at the ceiling all day and won’t look down or sideways then what’s the point of having the camera, I’ve reset it already and still everything is updated so I don’t understand.

Decent camera. The camera was working fine, it had great quality and very useful features, until it went offline for NO REASON AT ALL! The internet was fine, a fuse never blew, and we don’t think the cats could’ve done anything to it. We unplugged it and plugged it back in, we emailed the contact number and haven’t gotten a response yet, and the only reason I didn’t rate it 1 star is because I’m willing to wait and see if we will be able to fix it. The people that wrote the good reviews I call the lucky ones, because I don’t think they had to deal with this. If we end up being able to fix it, than I will come back rate this a 4 stars because other than this very annoying feature, it’s actually really good. Edit: we found out how to fix it, the USB port in the cord we used to plug it in was bad. I hope you reading this don’t experience this problem, too, cuz it’s incredibly annoying.

New update HORRIBLE. After the two most recent updates that are basically trying to force you to buy their cloud service for $150 a year, these cameras are useless now! They freeze up after about 15-30 seconds!! There is no point in having a camera running all night if it doesn’t work! I had no problems before these updates!! And now I can’t find anywhere to email support like I used to be able to. Even from here it takes you to their website to purchase items. The update eliminated some great features that I’m sure I would get back if I paid for their subscription which I will not do. I will just invest in some better cameras because this used to be an amazing little gadget until they decided to start charging for everything.

Good Some days. Bad most.. I was enjoying this cameras I bought. Then out of nowhere I noticed they would stop randomly stop working, they would both take extremely long to open the app to begin with, Then when on automatic motion tracking it would turn to face the wall and just be recording the wall and never return to its normal place. I even had an incident happen in my home where it never even picked up any of the incident happening. The fact you can’t really watch your replays without it crashing is a huge problem especially when I pay for the subscription... I am trying to hold off but I plan on buying better cameras without these issues... I also noticed lagging sometimes and it stops recording sound. BIGG problems for this homeowner. Update : APP NOT LETTING ME LOG IN. App saying Invalid Data Format when I try to log in with my information. This is HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE. There is noone you can even call at this time of night and phones not working because of CoVid-19. This is a bunch of crap. I will be ordering new cameras right now! I am done and I don’t recommend these pieces of crap to anyone. Screw yi iot.

Good camera. I have two dome cams in house and I just bought a third one on its way. The cams are quite good and up until now haven’t had any issues at all. Lately one of my cams has been beeping and then turning 360 degrees every time it beeps. This beeping happens often and I am not sure what the problem is. I do not have the same issue with the other cam. I have reset the camera and still the issue persists. I have researched the issue online and in app with no solution. The company is really hard to get in touch with and their customer care is not at all the best. They have a good product but it isn’t followed by a good support team and thus I give it a four star, tempered with a three star but I like the cams very much. How do I resolve the issue? Why does it beep all the time? There is no specific time in which it does it. Sometimes it beeps more often than others and other times it doesn’t beep that much. The beeping is annoying as it does it at all hours of day and night. Help!

This app NO longer supports the bulb camera. I bought a bulb camera on Sept 9, 2022 and it worked great. However, about a week ago, I lost the ability to look back and see the 6 sec Alert clips. The ad to purchase the cloud from them takes over the screen and you can’t view anything. I emailed Kami Vision YI Support and they claim it’s the manufacturer of my camera that decided to opt out of their app service contract. Well, thanks loads! I have a 3 mth old camera that is useless now. Oh, and it’s no longer available, or I’d do a verified review. Unusable can’t add camera “Failed to get camera info”. I had a Camera from this company and it was decent for the price I paid, but I recently just bought a newer model to add an additional camera and it won’t add to their app. I don’t know if they broke something in the newest app or what, but I tried adding the camera on three different phones & two completely different networks, and every time I get to the last step to name the camera, I get an error that is “unable to get Camera info” so the Camera never shows up in my list of pair devices and it’s not usable. i’ve searched Google and other people had the same issue but it appears in the past it was fixed with a new app update, but I am already on the latest app. I will be returning this hardware and switching to a different company unless something changes.

Needs to add features offered by others. 1. Where is human filter? I need to reduce so many false alarms with the wind moving tree limbs. Notes. By turning on the human alarm in the intelligent detection alarm, the camera can only alarm when a person appears in the picture, filtering out unnecessary wind and grass movements. You can also customize the alarm area to make the alarm more targeted 2. Need speed X setting to fast forward 3. Need to turn off lights as I put my bulb in a glass light fixture and the light just reflect and blurs the view

Don’t update app. Zero stars. Now you took away the previews unless you pay for a service ?!?!? I will not be buying any more of your cameras unless you change that option. I use my own SD cards and don’t want your service and don’t want my cameras to be on the cloud with my personal info. Sneaky sneaky. I updated my app and now I have ads in my app that randomly play while I try to look at my cameras. They are trying to push you toward the premium cloud service. It’s not enough for them that you bought the cameras. I would look into another camera product. They nickel and dime you for the cloud service. First time I subscribed it was $89 for the year for 7 day recording. Now the same service is $189.

TERRIBLE APP. I never leave reviews but I felt this could save someone the headache. The cameras themselves are actually decent so far 3 days in, but the app is ridiculous. I’ve opted to buy the cloud space and it has never actually accepted my purchase, yet I can see I’ve paid for it multiple times on my Apple subscriptions. So basically the cameras are only available for real time monitoring which is useless for the most part. The app has no customer service numbers, no email addresses, no way to contact someone for these types of issues. Also the fact that I’ve paid for cloud services and it won’t even show in my apps order history is frustrating. So I’m conclusion I wish I would have bought something with a better app, besides it’s bad operating it’s not the greatest layout.

MY CAMREA GOT HACKED!!!!!. I bought this camera a while back and it seemed pretty descent. So I put it out on my window facing outside. A few month passes and I keep hearing the camera sound go off in the middle of the night. I pay no attention to it because I thought the sound means they detected people moving. But one day I woke to the sound and looked at the camera the camera was facing us and the camera kept moving looking around the room. I immediately unplugged the camera and my husband told me the same day that the sound means that someone was on the camera. I have 2 little kids that sleep in the same room with me and it just haunts me that a stranger was watching me and my family for months as well as listening into our conversations day and night. Please be aware of this big issue and consider the problem of buying this product. Stay safe everyone.

Live view but have to pay to see alert clips. Seriously stupid, I got the 64gb memory card and I have to subscribe to use it are you kidding me? I don’t want to just see the live, I want to be able to use what I already paid for. If I needed cloud I would buy it but just to use a function that it already comes and is advertised with and now they want more money? That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen and false advertisement. Otherwise it only screws in so far and if it’s facing a wall that’s where it stays as default unless something goes between it and the wall. Setup was easy. Wifi change you change your own then go back to the app and it changed there too.

“Activity” option needs direct access from “Alert”. My camera already records 24x7. Please make the alert have a direct link to my full “activity” so I can see the full clip directly from my SD card. Currently, i have to leave the alert… note the date and time … than go to Activity and find the clip again. It’s inconvenient. Wyze camera does this better by linking the full clip directly from the alert for FREE. Again, the data is already there, so please make it accessible from the alert itself so I don’t have to search for it. Thank you.

Good video cam, easy to use. I really like the camera, the clarity of the picture is very nice and the app works pretty well. One thing the app really needs is a way to swipe the alert clips to delete them instead of having to view the clip and only then get a trashcan to delete one clip at a time. this can be really annoying and time-consuming if you have the sensitivity set too high and you’re getting a lot of clips. I realize the answer to that is to reduce the sensitivity but if there’s a moment that you need sensitivity hi, you’re going to get a lot of clips that need to be deleted - one at a time. That’s my only real complaint. Good product!

Great camera. Not so great software. The camera works great. The software only shows a small clip and you have to watch that before you can watch the entire recording. Even if you are recording to your SD card, when you press the option to view the entire clip, it sometimes takes you to a page to purchase their cloud service. Other links also take you to the purchase cloud service page and it’s annoying. There is not date & time with seconds showing on the video when you watch it so you only get an approximate time on their scale. If I could use different software with this camera I might buy it again. Right know, I would not recommend it.

Cameras are useless with recent update. Have this cameras for 3 years, seems like I will have to buy something else. Cameras itself are great, good night mode, option to use SD card as local storage, good quality footage. Was easy to install. What I am upset about is software, sometimes application would not send any push notifications, it happened maybe 5 times in 3 years to me and resolved on its own in about a day or two. The most frustrating part is that with recent update, there is no ability to look 6 seconds videos anymore. It will instead show an ad for a cloud feature. Before the update, you could watch 6 seconds video and check the footage through SD storage. I don’t know if it’s a bug or it was done intentionally. My short term solution is simply to not update this app until I find a proper replacement for this cameras and luckily I didn’t updated it on my main phone. Since this feature is still working on older versions of the app, I suspecting either a bug in recent update or it was done intentionally. Either way, software is garbage and unfortunately I will have to throw this cameras away. Do not even try to buy their cloud services, because even if you do, it will still not work properly, as advertised, because app is laggy and garbage.

App needs work! Perhaps a privacy scam!. On the iPad this app rotates image 90 degrees off. Cameras seem to disconnect from wifi frequently. Out of two cameras purchased, one is total garbage. Color is way off and symptomatic of other problems listed here by others. When ordering, help was good. However, now that I need a replacement for a defective product, NO RESPONSE. I would like to warn people that this company may or may not be legit. Cloud storage could be cheaper. I will never use it. In fact after writing this, I believe I will toss both cameras in the trash as I view this whole ordeal as a scam. I actually believe this is a privacy hack by entities unnamed. Please beware!

Just Sad. I’ve had 3 cameras set up with this for years, they each have their own SD cards so they could record and I could review footage with but somehow all at the same time even though each camera was bought at a separate time they all suddenly gained a 4-6 hour delay. Basically I couldn’t review footage until 4-6 hours later and then again all at the same time a new thing happened where I couldn’t review my alerts or anything without signing up and paying for their premium plan, I’ll get notifications my motion detection has gone off which where I live is very important for me to see but now I can’t even see what triggered it. It is sad that such a cheap and easy to use application became greedy and now something I’ve relied on for years to make sure my household is safe has to be replaced.

Camera & App are OK. The camera and app are both decent for the price. I have them set up without any of the alert features turned on and I record via a SD card instead of using the web, I have a large piece of property and use them to monitor a gate and the inside of a barn. The one improvement would be if the app allowed you to set up a “home” viewing preference so after you get done panning other views the unit would just return to it’s “home” view, just like it does if you hit the panoramic button, it runs the panoramic then returns to its starting point.

Performance above expectations. This clever little app has been performing above my expectations for three months now. Initially I encountered set-up problems but that was most likely due to operator error. Conclusion: If someone as tech challenged as me can it set-up it would be easy for most people to with limited expertise

Alerts disabled. Latest update has placed a subscription button, preventing you from seeing alert video. I can’t recommend this product unless you’re willing to pay money for their service as it’s part of a camera that’s purchased. It really is a rip off. I would avoid this company completely.

Don’t bother with this app. Footage recorded on the SD card is unavailable unless you pay a subscription. This used to work, now it doesn’t, obviously a change implemented by the developer. The point of recording on the SD card is to avoid the subscription.

Great camera pity about the app.. Can’t watch more than 6 seconds and continually asking to subscribe to the cloud. I don’t want to pay a subscription. App has problems. The app was working ok to start with after updating several times the app’s is no longer working properly and keeps on coming with ads from iCloud which I don’t want to purchase I I would like to record on my sd card and 3 cameras out of 4 would not record and the 1 which records will not play as it’s blocked by iCloud advertising and will not play I am very disappointed with this app and the fact they haven’t done anything about it So I would like this app to be updated and should work appropriately with out interference from ic Thanks I hope to hear from this app makers soon …

Ads Ads Ads Ads. Camera works well if you can get thru all the ads first. Used to be bearable but now its ridiculess, some ads the skip buttons dont even work! Id rather pay a few bucks to get rid of them!

Playback sd card not working. The new UX has so many more clicks just to view playback. Worse of all, it can’t play playback until it passes a few hours after it’s last recording! I’ve written complains and there is no replies from support or customer service!

Zero star rating is too high.. There is no mention on the product of any mandatory subscriptions to enable the use of the camera. I will be taking it back. Not worth the time and money.

Yi lot & IC 360. Technically the installation setup for both hardware and software app is reasonably user friendly. You need the camera set in a table lamp first to make it easy to take pic the QR code from the camera while installing. The software defaults one to take the subscription but allows one to have a one week free cloud access, to try and cancel later. W/O taking the subscription one can used a sd card instead hence can dismiss subscription outright by closing the app then on again, then manually activate the program by registering. 2nd day of use no issues so far.. Cheers!

Save your money. Even with an SD card, the software will not allow you to see recorded videos, it pastes a pop up message over the image prompting you to create a cloud account. Just a cash grab. The “light” that comes on is infrequent and not bright at all.

Good camera but sound turns off after a minute. The camera I got with this app is great for its price. The only issue is the volume. After about a minute, the sound automatically turns off and you have to manually press the sound button to turn it back on. So this app is not good if you actually want to hear what’s going on. The app would be great if they fixed this issue, but they still haven’t.

Largely worthless. This used to give you six seconds of free video, so we’ve got an alert you could see what the cause was. You had to pay for cloud support in order to see the rest of it however you could see the alert. Now they’ve changed it so you can’t see anything unless you pay for it. I would not pay for this if my life depended on it. Debating recycling the camera and getting something good

Scam. The camera is useless. If you don’t unsubscribe the cloud service you cannot virw the recording videos. They are blocked by their ad pushing to pay for the subscription!

Network issue. After using this for months it now suddenly keeps coming up with network issue despite the camera being connected. More so, the camera randomly chimes a couple times a day and in the night, waking our little one up!

Useless. App doesn’t allow any more viewing of alerts unless you subscribe to premium. SD card can’t be utilized for event recording. The camera becomes totally useless. Don’t buy the device unless you want to pay the expensive subscription.

Removing functionality with updates. Turn off your automatic app updates. So far they removed; Multicam view, noise detection, and local playback from the sd card.

Many problems getting it to work. Took two days to get the camera to even connect. Very frustrating. Software kept going around in an artificial stupidity loop saying to keep resetting camera.If camera has to be constantly reset and it doesn’t work, resetting isn’t the problem. Does not connect to 5G wifi. Use a slower wifi. Finally when I got it working the camera started rebooting every minute. Eventually camera died so I had to use second camera. Memory card slot is open. Water entry possible and perhaps that is why it went bezerk and died. Software is buggy. Connecting to camera can be an issue. Rebooting app sometimes works. Tracking only works left and right. Does not track up and down. This is another device that tries to deny services unless paid subscription is on. We cannot get a refund for the defective camera because seller and company are arguing about who should refund. Now I can’t gey video from camera. I can only turn the camera. Installed update. Still only shows old frame. Doesn’t show live video anymore. Obviously a substandard product. Too many problems with it. Customer service sucks.

Garbage. This app was sub par two years ago, now for whatever reason it’s un useable. We just bought a second baby monitor too for our growing family, but we can’t get both our phones to link to the cameras. I just read a lengthy forum of people all over the world having the same issue. Unresolved.

Wont stop advertising. Kind of annoying I spent the money to get a baby camera just for the app to constantly try to get me to upgrade to premium. It harasses me all the time with notifications in the app and outside of the app. Would never recommend this camera. Its slow to load and either is over sensitive with its alerts or doesn’t alert at all.

Needs Support and Updates. The camera and the app are good, but there are just some glitches that make it very hard for me to use. Specifically, I want to share our baby cam with my wife, but neither the “QR Code” or “YI IOT Account” options work. Now I can’t share it with my wife, and that’s the whole point why we bought the camera. And there is no customer support available. 2 stars until a fix is in place.

False advertising. I purchase about this camera because it stated it allows you to use an SD card. You’ll never convince me that every SD card I purchased for this camera is corrupt as you just want people to buy your iCloud service I am not interested in iCloud service, all the annoying messages Fix it I see I should have read these reviews first.

If not cloud subscription, total history view block. After a year, the cameras will be useless without the cloud subscription because the view window will be blocked by their Ad. And local view from the memory card is also not possible. This is very rude way of doing business.

Ridiculous. What a complete waste of money. Can no longer access alerts unless subscription is purchased. Talk about holding my camera hostage. Wish I’d’ve purchased a competitors hardware as YI subscriptions are ridiculously expensive comparatively and competitors still allow access to alerts.

Playback needs improvement. The update messed the playback option. You cant view the times you want to see properly

When you opt out…. When you opt out of the subscription, get rid of the perpetual banner and attempts to get you to subscribe by nagging on the alerts screen. Annoying and isn’t going to work. If this is the app that needs to be used with the hardware, it’s already been paid for. Do the decent thing already.

Not for security. Camera work but App is too commercial ( too much advertising ) can’t be used seriously as a security. Ex. If alarm is turn off and you upgrade the App. it will turn-back on the Alarm notifications. The look of the App. is more commercial oriented than user commodity. The sized of this App. 237 meg is about five time bigger than comparable camera managing App.

Camera freezes. I really love this little camera but I wish it would work longer than an hour. I set it up correctly but it still keeps freezing up. I keep getting a message that the camera has jammed please try again later. Is anyone else having the same problem? Does anyone else know how to fix this problem? Goes off line at the same time every day for at least 10 hours. Why does my camera go off every day at 6:30am and comes back in at 6:30pm? I love the camera but this is ridiculous! I’ve done everything it says to do to correct and nothing so far has resolved the issue. Contacting customer service is also a joke because they are no help at all. Please get this issue resolved or supply better solutions

9/28. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED. 9/7 They’ve now went from 4.6 to 4.4 stars since the originally update about 3 weeks ago. Every comment says to change it back and they’ve done now 5 updates and still haven’t fixed it. Hopefully they will soon. 9/28. You guys had it fixed! And then you go and update it AGAIN 2 days later and take it all back again?? Seriously. You really need to fire whoever works on the app. You guys legit had it all fixed. The time stamp was back and the sound stayed on all night. Now here we are again with no time stamp and the sound cutting off. This is so so so frustrating.

Not a Happy Camper. Just got my camera and during the set up process I entered my email incorrectly. I never entered a password although a password was saved that was very lengthy. Longer than the password to be used by the camera. Now I can’t use the password saved and I can’t correct the email error. You don’t let anyone change the email. I would delete the account and start over but you need to provide a password. So after going to the customer service area where no help is provided I have two choices. (1) I get some type of response from the company or (2) return the camera and buy from a company that has customer service you can reach.

Not worth it so far. I don’t think I’ve wasted so much time on something so silly before now. There needs to be better instructions including a how to camera reset IMHO. This camera may work fine but it shouldn’t be this hard to get it connected nor to get ahold of the app or instructions. The bot helper is not a help and the community support topics scare me considering I’m just trying to get mine going and there isn’t an entry for resetting, I can only look to the other topics to predict how many more may be ahead. If I don’t fiber this out soon I’ll just return it.

Ads? Really!?. Seriously, get rid of the ads that you just added in the most recent update. I use this as a video baby monitor. If my daughter starts making noise, I want to immediately be able to see her on the camera when I open this app, not have to wait until I can close out the ad that pops up EVERY SINGLE TIME I OPEN THE APP! 1 star rating until these ads are gone. Absolutely ridiculous that I paid $30 for something and ads are STILL shoved in my face! I don’t want the cloud service. I don’t want ads.

Three the hard way. I have three cameras in my house to monitor my dogs and initially I loved them. Pictures were clear, it tracked Thor movement and sounds. All was well in my house...until it wasn’t. The cameras take forever to load, lots of important movements and missed, the cameras no longer spin to track movements nor sounds. It’s a horrible shell of what it once was. Very disappointed because I have not even had them for long.

Don’t scan the app, don’t use the Free cloud trial.. My camera wouldn’t take the sd card. It wouldn’t go in, so I mistakenly used the cloud free trial, then decided on the one camera cloud option instead, then 10 days later my account was hit for $140 for 5 cameras and another $60 for the 1 camera. I’m still trying to get a refund. The camera squeaks really loud every time it moves. Why I never activated the second camera I bought.

Annoying Company. They spam you with a bunch of deals each holiday. The prices are expensive. Every time you disable the notifications in the app, they still come on and spam you with false motion alerts. You have to pay to see what trigger the alert. The app doesn’t rotate correctly. Turning off the camera lights don’t work half the time. After 1 week, the camera doesn’t even fully rotate and it likes to face the wall or ground so you can’t see anything. The signal delay can be very significant sometimes. To be fair you can use an SD card but they still spam you with all their deals and what not.

Great product. I purchased one for my son and I liked it so much, I had to buy one for me. I’m going to have to get another one now to put in other parts of the house. I was initially skeptical due to the size but then I realized it doesn’t matter if it’s as small as a pencil tip or as large as a house, the result will be the same (as far as viewing on my phone). I’m very impressed with the quality of the photos too. All in all, you can’t go wrong here 👍🏼

Hate the update. I purchased this camera because I had the option to record 24/7 with my SD card. Was working perfectly fine, until The newest update, which only allows you to view 6 seconds of recording time. Oh, not to mention the alerts you can't view anymore because it says the notifications are turned off, which they aren't. You have to actually rewind the recorded alerts to actually see them. The price of subscriptions are INCREDIBLY overpriced and will never get an account, SD card was working perfectly fine. Y'all just lost me. I'll find another camera and throw this in the trash.

Getting worse. This app and the cameras get worse and worse with each update. They have an ever increasing hard time connecting and giving video. Even when they do connect they have a good connection for a few minutes and then it suddenly goes bad. From over 100kb/s to 37kb/s or less. Also the sound only lasts for a short time and then goes silent even though I didn’t mute it. These problems occur even with the camera only two feet from the router. I can’t constantly watch the feed, I have to keep going back to the home page and select the camera I want to watch again and again just to keep a good connection and be able to hear the sound.

Good Camera, but nothing great. We like the camera, but if you are planning to use it for baby monitoring then it might not work out. We bought it for monitoring our baby and every time the light in the room changes...the camera makes a clicking sound, like its trying to adjust the brightness. So its almost impossible to use it in afternoon as our baby is very sensitive to noise. Also the connectivity drops a lot of times and sometimes it takes a lot of time to bring up the video when you launch the app.

App almost useless. We bought these about 8 months ago. They worked perfectly for about 5 months then they started to randomly go offline or freeze up. Now they won’t catch anything at all. People pull up at our shop and home and nothing is detected. Woke up this morning and found the app had updated to where I can select person/vehicle/animal detection but only the animal detection works. The other two will not “turn on” it keeps saying “setting failed, please try again later”. I’ve been trying for 4 hours. I’m paying $15 a month for nothing. Should have paid more for better cameras & service.

Free Month Testing Worked, Paid didn’t work an. When I had the free trial the camera worked perfectly and I was very content with the results therefore decided to start paying after the trial, however, after paying the trial and setting the camera up it suddenly stopped working. I tried getting in contact with someone but all I would get were automated responses, very much felt like a scam and that my money was not being put to good use therefore leading me to cancel the subscription because it felt more like a robbery paying for something that wasn’t serving of use.

Superb value!. Researched tons of cameras, ended up buying a permanent wall mounted system for about $120 that I’m satisfied with. But recently we needed a portable version for a family vacation, and purchased this one. WOW! Should’ve bought this from the beginning! Picture quality is “good enough” for the price, and the ability to move the camera lens remotely & zoom is AWESOME! Don’t be like me and keep thinking about it. Don’t waste any more time. Nursery Camera. I looove this camera and the app until the app updated and now it doesn’t say when the camera is “live” and also for some reason, when I go on the app to see how my baby is sleeping, all my devices automatically lock now. Before the update, my devices would stay on as if watching a video. I just wish it could go back to how the app used to work previously. Thumbs down for the app. The camera is perfect, thumbs up for that.

Automated response.. Every complaint has been the same overpriced can’t do anything unless you buy a subscription subscription is overpriced so many people have said don’t buy it not worth the price and all we get is automated responses to be honest. If that’s the best you guys have your company will go under. and my recommendation to anybody that has a subscription to this cancel it. Because it is way over price for what you’re getting. Automated apologies and go to a website that’s probably going to hack your system anyways nothing but a scam should be brought up on charges for this garbage. May be a lawyer should be getting involved and do a class action.

Purchased premium access and did not get it. I purchased the monthly premium access which I still have not gotten even though they took the money from my account. I have emailed them and got a response to send a copy of my receipt which I sent several times showing I paid and now they will no longer respond to my emails and I still don’t have premium access. Only after stating that if I don’t hear back from customer service in 24 hours I would go to my bank and dispute the charges then all of a sudden I had the premium access I paid for..

The camera’s work great but….. I have been extremely happy with these little units for the past few years (I would have easily rated these 5 stars), but with the most recent update you are no longer able to view the 6 second clips for the alerts (the whole point of me buying these was because I could use a SD card). What’s the point in the alerts if you can’t click on them to view?!?!? I am praying this is a oversite and will be corrected! So unbelievably frustrating!

Poor quality camera and horrible app. The camera is of low quality. Images at night are useless. The app is constantly detecting movement even though the sensitivity level is on the low setting. Trees moving and birds will trigger a notification. The movement notifications are often 1-2 minutes delayed. The app has several messages which try to upsell you the data plan. The worst part of the app is that if it detects movement there is no way to go back and review the footage. To review footage you have to purchase the data plan. Other such systems provide you with limited reviewing capabilities.

Terrible service. Three weeks and I had to figure out on my own that my VPN was blocking it from working on the app, only to find that they only record six seconds of video and force you to use their cloud service if you want the entire footage. I already have a cloud service so I don’t need there is but apparently it won’t work with it, so the cameras are useless without their service which is bull crap. for the money I spent on six cameras just about $200 or more, this is a rip off and I could get our normal security system that I won’t have to pay a monthly or annual fee. Sending these back.

Instructions lacking. The camera has a good picture and this meets my needs. But the app and instructions are not in synch. Beeps, dididi, etc have lost something in the translation, or the camera had old (new?) instructions in the box. I. haven’t yet gotten the sound to work, but I’ll muddle through. Will buy more cameras as this seems to work well at a good price.

Amazed...at first. Seemed too good to be true! I paid around $30 for my camera and kind of expected it to work like a $30 camera. Worked great at first, a little delay but did what I needed it to do so that I could feel safe doing chores downstairs while my little one napped. Then, it stopped working after a few months. I couldn’t and still cannot get the dang thing to connect to my internet, even when it is sitting beside my modem! Very frustrating and disappointing. From reading other reviews, I am glad to see it isn’t just mine, but sure wish I had read these reviews before buying☹️

They have changed my viewing ability. I have had three of their cameras for a couple years now and could always watch playback on my phone without needing their cloud service. I have memory cards in them and all of the sudden they are blocking me from viewing playback and trying to force me to join their cloud service. I am EXTREMELY angry and disappointed. We are now gone for six months and I can’t change out the cameras for a different brand. One of my cameras has also malfunctioned and will not turn.

App needs work! Perhaps a privacy scam!. On the iPad this app rotates image 90 degrees off. Cameras seem to disconnect from wifi frequently. Out of two cameras purchased, one is total garbage. Color is way off and symptomatic of other problems listed here by others. When ordering, help was good. However, now that I need a replacement for a defective product, NO RESPONSE. I would like to warn people that this company may or may not be legit. Cloud storage could be cheaper. I will never use it. In fact after writing this, I believe I will toss both cameras in the trash as I view this whole ordeal as a scam. I actually believe this is a privacy hack by entities unnamed. Please beware!

Best baby camera and app. We previously had a wall mount camera and I hated it. Took forever to set up and the controls were weird and the app would glitch all the time. This price of this camera is amazing and works just like a high end one. I love that it’s portable for vacations and I can watch my baby if Im not home and she’s sleeping. This app is on point it’s never glitched and very user friendly.

TOO MANY ADS. I don’t understand why the app itself has so many ads or any at all. I PURCHASED the equipment and camera. It’s for a nursery so I don’t need any extra cloud storage than what it comes with initially. But in order to not have obnoxious ads coming up when I’m trying to check on my child, I have to pay an ADDITIONAL MONTHLY FEE. I find this ridiculous. With allowing so many junky ads through, I’m concerned with one of them being a virus that allows outsiders access to the camera. Had I known I had to pay an additional monthly fee for being able to utilize the camera as intended, I would’ve gone with a different company.

Doesn't work!. I tried & still trying to get it to work. It locks my phone. I keep getting notifications of videos with no one in the camera. If I try to move it with the app, it turns to face the wall. It goes off for bugs not people walking up to my door. I thought it might be a defective camera. But the next 2 proved me wrong. I already purchased the one year subscription, so I'm kind of stuck at this point. i'm gonna try to get my money back and send everything back. my recommendation is look for a different brand.

Used to be okay, now almost useless/invasive ads. Used to be okay, now full of very invasive ads and sneaky/confusing tactics to get you a subscription. Getting emails, full screen ads. More adds to clear when trying to get to the camera urgently. Also takes 2-3 retries to get the video stream working. No integration with Alexa. Why torture yourself? For the same price get a better camera, from a more reputable/less shady company, that has better smart home integration. I have two other cameras (tapos) that have been quite stable and reliable. I will be dumping this camera.

So glad to have it. I am so happy to have got this together with a annual cloud subscription. Someone broke into our house and stole the camera along. Lucky the cloud service detected and recorded. Like that police work and insurance claim was super! They were also happy to have footage. We bought a new camera and upgraded to CVR service. It’s amazing to know to have backup after something horrible like that happened to us.

Worked great until it stopped working at all. This camera/app setup was awesome and I loved it, for the whole day that it worked. Now when I open the app it just freezes and closes out of the app completely. I looked for app updates and other possible solutions, turned my device on and off multiple times, nothing has helped. It’s actually getting worse as now it shuts down as soon as I open the app rather than before it wouldn’t shut down until I clicked on the camera. I’m extremely discouraged and will likely return the camera.

Indoor vs outdoor camera. I purchased 3 indoor cameras along with 3 outside cameras. Two of the outside cameras stopped working within 3 months. cameras are Extremely sensitive and goes off to the slightest move of a bug. The indoor cameras work just fine. Just has a tendency of resetting itself and making a complete circle. I sometimes think someone else is watching me. Lil scary. Cameras capture beautiful and clear pictures/videos. Audio works well. But I won’t be buying anymore. Guess it’s worth the price.

Alert Issue. For The most part the camera has worked good! It drives me crazy sending me notifications all the time for the wind blows the line outside! And I have to turned to the lowest detection setting! But recently I have not been able to play back the alerts on my phone! I can see them and when I click it to play it just blank!

Quality Camera. I bought this for the most unusual reason. My Acurite weather station stopped broadcasting thru WIFI to my phone. Seems they changed the hardware and we as consumers should shell out a $100 + bucks to keep streaming. I bought this camera and it watches my small screen weather info. I can now see whats happening anywhere. Crazy huh!

Seems to get worse with every update. I have had multiple cameras of this in my home for quite some time. it seems the user is limited with each update and it’s extremely frustrating. All of my cameras have SD cards in them and I used to be able to view the activity but now it seems the developer is forcing us to pay for their cloud in order to view previous activity despite my SD cards in the cameras. Very frustrating.

UPDATES SCREWING UP THE APP!!. The app was updated and they REMOVED the date/ time that showed during video playback on the SD card which makes it WORTHLESS! The date/time is VERY IMPORTANT, especially if you need the video for evidence. Also, when playing video on the SD card it plays for a few seconds and then jumps to the END of the recording so you have to keep rewinding back. EVERY time they update the app they seem to mess up the SD card playback, perhaps so people will buy the expensive cloud storage! My advice is to buy a camera with a functional stable app. I sure am, but I’m going to make sure I research the App BEFORE I spend money on the camera. Lesson learned!

Ads block content making app useless and dangerous. This was a great app most of the time, but now when I open it to check on my invalid mother who requires constant monitoring (like eyes on her 24/7) a Google ad pops up without an x to exit it. I had to delete and reinstall app to get rid of ad. It has happened multiple times and is a great risk when I can't see her. I will find another app or buy baby monitors. This is useless now that it can't be relyed on. There is no reason for an ad to block app content, nor for it to lack an exit button. Would like a response

Disappointed with this purchase.. The only thing I wanted with an outside camera was to see who is at my door. The reason why I purchased from Opti-Guard was because it stated that no cloud subscription service is required. The following is from the website “With no installation costs, no maintenance costs and no monthly cloud storage fees - you will save a bundle this year.” This is a false statement. I’m okay with the camera after just one day of use. The push to buy the premium service for cloud storage is disturbing. I do not recommend this product.

Don’t even bother with this camera save up and get something else. This camera “works” but not good. You can set it on motion detection and it will detect anything but motion. You will get hundreds of alerts every day but rarely when motion is actually active. You can literally walk past the camera and it won’t detect anything, but you leave the camera setting with nothing around it and it will detect motion and alert you. If you need a camera to just record, then this might be for you, but other than that, don’t even bother using it for a security camera. Also, setting it up was a pain, but I was able to figure it out.

Horrible. This application will allow you purchase their cloud service but it will then tell you payment failed and the order didn’t complete, so you try again and again. Low and behold despite it saying that it didn’t complete you will very much get receipts for such and see the charges pulled from your account. I’m now well over $120 in charges and have never had the cloud service and it’s still telling me to sign up . I’ve tried to communicate with customer service and get the run around and directed elsewhere. Horrible experience!

Subscribers Beware. When trying to subscribe to a plan the app will say processing and “never go through”, yet I was charged for the subscription through Apple. For two days now I have not had access to the subscription I paid for, the app keeps trying to get me to purchase again. Contacted their customer service MULTIPLE times through email and they REFUSE to respond AND CORRECT the issue. So now I’m out of my money AND going on DAY THREE without access to what I have paid for. Do yourselves a favor and run far from this company.

Terrible change with update!!. We loved this camera for use as a baby monitor until this most recent update. Previously the app would stay running on your phone with live picture and volume. But now it times out and the screen goes blank after about two minutes. I tried changing the setting on my phone so that the screen never shuts off which fixes the picture portion, but after about 5 minutes the sound mutes. I was primarily using this so I could hear when my toddle was getting out of bed in the middle of the night. Now this app and camera is Completely useless to me. Is there anyway to go back to the previous version ???

Hope you’re not in any rush to look at your camera. When the app lets you know that there’s motion at the door and when you try to open the app to see the footage real quick, it says “failure to download”. It also takes 5 minutes for the camera to load live footage and when it finally does you get around 3 frames per minute and by the time it’s done loading there’s nothing there. In other words, if you’re willing to get a picture of a blurry figure then this is perfect for you!

Annoying And pestering. This WebCam has some great features and it’s pretty seamless when integrated. However you have to really buy the cloud feature to get the storage. This is the case even if you buy an SD ram card and put it in there. Right now I can’t watch any clips that are recorded because the app keeps hounding me annoying me and pestering me to buy the cloud feature. I’ll be looking at other cameras in the future unless this is fixed!

Poor device. I purchased 3 and with a week 2 of them fell apart. Customer service was excellent and immediately sent 2 more. 2 weeks later the 3rd camera keeps disconnecting and will not connect to my phone . Very disappointed. Tried Chatting but they are”off line” and will email me “later”. Hoping to return them and get a refund. But sorta on the plus side: *Picture is great (but it tracks bugs and cars way out on the road and ignores most people who come to the door right by it) *Great customer service via phone with faster replacement than original order.

Hacked. Our camera was hacked and a female was talking over the microphone to my toddler multiple times throughout the night. When it woke him up the first time he told us it was his sister (a baby) talking. The next time a noise alert happened to be sent to my phone and when I watched the clip and I could hear the female voice over the speaker. That morning I went to show my spouse and the video clip and all alerts from overnight had been deleted in the app! Not only is it vulnerable to hacking, it constantly resets itself and makes a loud chime which will wake anyone in the room up. Terrible and unsafe product. Do not buy!!

Beeping at all hours. I read in the manual that if the camera loses connectivity, it will reset and do a little beeping jingle. Well there needs to be a way to mute this because it’s in my daughters bedroom and often wakes her up. I like the picture quality and the alerts are accurate, but customer service is crap. I googled it and there are apparently other cameras from this company that have the ability to mute the beeping, but not this one. I have been through every setting.

Not satisfied. I bought two cameras an indoor and outdoor camera they both paired fine with my iPhone se but I updated my phone to a iPhone XR and not I can not get either camera to pair to my new phone. I have been trying since the end of November and still not even close smh I was a little flustered before because I was getting a lot of notifications for bugs but not when myself or other cars or even when the mailman would be in frame but I was still ok with the camera but now they are useless so I’ll have to buy new ones from a different brand so now it’s like money down the drain

In total awe. I had been doing countless research on multiple baby monitors and I was a little skeptical when it came to the price of this one...but I’m super happy with everything about this camera! It has great resolution, the features on the app, the sharing so me and the daddy can both be looking at the baby monitor at the same time. There’s just so much that I’m thrilled with about this camera. Can’t wait to use it for our first baby!
