Love the game it just needs a little improvement. I have played quite a bit of the ff games and I figured I’d buy this one I love it except for the frame rate . That’s my only issue with it, if you’re offline it loads perfectly and runs perfectly but the moment you get back online it automatically runs slow and loads everything slower. If this could get fixed in an update soon that’d be great

Works great. Hope they add an option to mute music in future update, then will increase review to 5 stars. Otherwise this a great port, bit expensive though lol but still happy to pay for it, brings back some good memories.

Excellent, but desperately needs controller support. This game is an excellent port of a classic RPG game from the 1990s. The character models look excellent. Understandably, the assets in the backgrounds still retain the old PS1 graphics. However, what is truly a hindrance to this game is the lack of console controller support. The on-screen controls are decent, however it hinders many aspects of the game (especially in mini-games, or when you need precise control of the characters, and especially when in battle). I’ll be willing to give this game another look if controller support was added.

You can only play it offline…. To everyone having a problem playing this title — the issue appears to be with the cloud save server. The game tries to connect to it and then fails. And it doesn’t take failing to connect to the server gracefully. You do not need to enable airplane mode to play this game, unlike what other reviewers have said. Instead you just need to disable Internet access. So you can still use bluetooth controllers if you want! More than likely it is a server certificate or network protocol issue that cropped up with the 17.2 update. I am certain that all Sony needs to do is push a small update for the app, or possibly even just upgrade the server.

Works Again, Distorted Sound. Great news that this was updated to work again with recent iOS released. Bad news is the sound seems to have some sort of delayed distortions so it sounds horrible.

Finally!. I’ve been looking for updates on FFVIII for years and it finally happened! I hear there’s no controller support but I don’t care. It’s finally here so I’m giving it 5 stars for effort.

Great game with solid support. The controls are solid. I really appreciate the MFI support. The game itself is great. It’s not my favorite Final Fantasy but it is in my top three. My only ask from the developer is to please allow me to change the image around the screen overlay to something else or even nothing.

Love it. I won’t say my play through will be like yours but this games port gave me no issues , it was a trip down memory lane and is it perfect no port ever will be in my opinion but trust me it’s worth the buy, no ads or in app purchases and you get the full game , so enjoy

I love this game and I am glad it is on ios BUT. I love this game with all my heart, but I can tell the screen size is smaller than most final fantasy games on ios. If they made an update where the screen size was longer to fit larger iphones like how Final Fantasy 3 did or even make it the same length as final fantasy 9, then it would be amazing!

Still needs work.. I love FF8. It’s good that I can finally play it on my tablet. Game still definitely needs work, especially with control and cloud support. Really wish they’d finish the game as a whole then release it. Also they need to add support for button mapping or any kind of config. Despite playing on an iPad Pro, I still would do lots of miss touch (that’s why we need controller support). Square, please allow us to move the buttons a round.

Good job on the update. I’m glad to see that the app received a relatively quick update after it stopped working with iOS 17.2 and above. It now works great. If you have a controller, this is (to me) a five-star game, but the touch controls are just a bit awkward to me. FFVIII is a great game - one of the best in the series in my opinion, and being available for mobile is amazing to me. Thanks for the update, so I can keep playing.

Please add full cheats.... I have 7, 8, and 9... They run perfect, but please add full level, monetary, etc. cheats to FF8... I’m older now, and lack the patience to grind out the levels... If you could add this to your other FF games, as well as other Square Soft RPG’s, that’d be great. And I’d buy them all... But like I said, I’m older now, and I lack the patience for playing fair... No one has to use these cheats, but it’s always nice to have that option...

Love the FF franchise.. This seems like a good port. The graphics are good and game mechanics are ok. Been playing for several hours and keep encountering screen freeze. This completely locks the screen, no input or feedback. If you close the phone and reopen the game screen it shuts the game down. This can be an annoyance or very frustrating if you have not been saving at every opportunity. I like the game and nostalgia will keep me playing, I am just a little disappointed. The phone is an iPhone 12pro max, so I doubt it is the cause.

Needs that controller update. I thought I could deal with the touch controls but that controller update cannot come soon enough. I also don’t understand why this doesn’t have cloud saves as they are present in VII an in IX. Kind of a lazy port but this is the only way Bushell to play this again since I don’t have a PC and my PS1 is long gone

Favorite Final Fantasy, but underwhelmed.. This is by far my favorite final fantasy out of all of them. It also happens to be the first I have ever played. As stoked as I was to be playing it again on my phone, it is seriously under developed as a remake. Upgraded graphics, and playing it on my phone as opposed to an old console is great, but emulators have been allowing that for years, and with much better playability due to game hacking within the emulators. It wasn’t until i moved to IPhone that i lost the ability to play it on the phone. Adding a new game plus feature seems like it would be an easy feature to add to stand out above and beyond emulators. I don’t normally hack games, but I have spent 100’s of hours playing this game to have all cards, weapons, level stats, gf and abilities, and rare items. New game plus would make it so I don’t have to do that every time I want to play through again.

This isn’t for me. The only reason I have this game on my phone is for my 4.5 year old son. He LOVES the intro and the music and will see it and listen to it over and over. Initially, we would play it on the PS when he was 1.5 to get him to calm down so that we could change his clothes, diapers, or feed him since he’s autistic. But we soon realized that that prevented us from watching anything else since he really liked and wanted it to be playing constantly. Now we got smart and we have the game downloaded on our phones and switches. A huge shout out and thank you to the game developer and composer since my son is big fan! Y’all didn’t know it but y’all are lifesavers!!!

Meh. This was my favorite installment of the series but this app needs work. The music just constantly skips, to the point where I have to keep the sound turned off, and if I close my phone for 15 minutes to do anything else, the game closes itself out and I have to pick up from my last save point.

Relieved. I was worried that I was gonna just be throwing away $20 because of some of these reviews here and just looking online. Although it seems all complaints were about a year old. I just got to Timber and so far I’m not encountering a single issue. Iphone 11, no overheating, or freezing or automatic shut down. I also have this game on my PS4 but couldn’t push myself to actually play it. Having it on my phone is a different story, I’m outside a lot so it’s become my main game. Very happy with it, thanks 😊

Great game, bad controls. I loved this game when it came out in PS1 - until my memory card died. The one thing that would make this game even better would be to add gamepad support. I have a back Backbone controller and would love to use it with this game.

Mediocre at best. The only reason I’m still forcing myself to play this is the premium price I had to pay for it. If it was a free app I would uninstall and forget it. The controls are so clunky and the only thing that makes it bearable is the sped up option and no random battles for traveling. I’m okay with the junction system it seems interesting but the story is meh and the gameplay/controls are garbage. I’ve loved every other final fantasy I’ve ever played and thought I’d give this one a try but that was clearly a mistake

Yay finally. Love this version of the game. I would love it if you back up and download iCloud data for it. Comes in handing when I’m playing at home on my iPad and then if I want to take it with me on the go on my iphone

A million times, thank you!. Wow, what a trip down memory lane! I’ve been wanting to have this game in my pocket for years now. I never got to finish it as a kid, because I scratched my fourth disc. And I don’t own any other consoles, so for me this is a dream come true. Playing on an XR with the latest version of iOS, and everything is running smoothly. The soundtrack is beautiful as always, I’m not having any issues with cutscenes, and it works great on airplane mode. Just a heads up, it’s not updated to be widescreen, so maybe that will bother some people, but for someone who played this in 1999, it’s the only version I know. Looking forward to controller support and cloud saves in the future, but for now it’s not an issue. So far, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! Thanks, devs!

Finally!. So glad to see this game finally added to iOS. Controller support is here! Could you also use machine learning to update the pre-rendered backgrounds into 4K? Plenty of people have shown it’s possible and it would be great to have an official version rather than resorting to patches. Time to start my no level up playthrough on mobile.

Simply will not launch. I have multiple devices - and the game will not launch on any of them. Tried contacting support, but they are worse than useless. They ask a question….i answer. They ask another….i answer. They ask another (all over messaging, so days go by between communications)…… Extra sad given that I play several games from these folks without issues. This one - and the team working on it - absolutely the worst.

Update Final Fantasy 9. Writing this review to urge the developers to update FF 9 IOS 14.5 I’m not sure what happened, but the game is gone from the store. I’m aware this is for FF8, I wanted to directly contact hoping they will respond with a positive assurance. Also I wanted to show my support to the developers. I was saving all my final fantasy games until I really needed it. Also please bring back parasite Eve! I would love to play it on my IOS Device. Please respond to inquiry…. This is the most expensive review I have ever dropped on ios.

Great game now with controller support. Its one of my favorite final fantasy games, very under rated in my opinion. Now the update has put in controller support so its a no brainer to buy this if you like RPGs. Game is just as fun as i remember. Worth buying now

Huge Final Fantasy Fan. I am a huge Square Enix and Final Fantasy fan. I have FF VIII Remastered both on my PS4 Pro and now on iOS. I am more than happy to financially support Square Enix by purchasing both versions of the game. My one ask is that when a cloud save feature is implemented, that it be a cross platform cloud save feature. For example, it would be nice to start a game on my iPhone or iPad on the go, and pick it up on my PS4 Pro or PS5.

Problem with loading!. Hello this is my first time writing a review I love this game and been wanting to replay it again but I’ve been having problems with the game. I press the screen and it’s like freezing in the logo of square enix and going on the dotemu part it’s loading a frame per 10 seconds. I deleted it and downloaded again I don’t know what’s the problem. I’ve tried on my iPad, my iPhone 12 Pro Max and 14 pro max. And still same problem is there any way for this to be fixed?

Works great. One minor quibble. Game runs and works as expected. Haven’t had any issues. Works well with XBOX One controller. One minor quibble I wish the dev’s would fix is to get rid of the white home screen bar at the bottom of the screen (when on iPad Pro 5th gen).

Didn’t hesitate. I play this game at least once a year since I was six years old. It is literally my favorite game. I didn’t hesitate when I saw this in the App Store. It’s literally just the same game that I’ve played over and over again except now it’s in my pocket.

Brilliant ! But the target !. I loved this game when I was younger , I can safely say I’m loving it all over again ! Although, the fact that you can’t turn off that annoying “target” icon above the enemies and players is beyond annoying . Perhaps they’ll have a option to remove this in a update .

What the heck. I have never had any issues with this and all of a sudden the sound got quirky and I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times and it won’t even load past the squareenix screen. It just freezes. Is this going to be fixed soon??? I was just about to board the train and head to Timber.

Great Port, with One Flaw. I have been waiting for this to come out for iOS for quite some time, so I’m more than excited to finally play this. With that being said, I have one large complaint. I play this on an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it gets incredibly warm while playing. Has anyone else noticed this issue? If so, is it being addressed? Other than that, I’m so glad to have this game on my phone.

Love the game. This is the best video game the ever made. There is a bug in this version, though. The final boss theme “The Extreme” cuts off the first 20 or so seconds of the song. I wish this could be fixed so that this were the clear definitive version of the game. That song is so good and it’s sad to see it broken in the game

Legendary classic game. Always wanted to play this since it’s famous as a giant step in RPGs. And it works! About 1.5 hours in, controls are fine and no glitches. I appreciate the honest “pay once and don’t bother me again” pricing too.

Awesomeness and controller support. I have nothing else to say except ignore those who have given reviews about lack of controller support as they are brining the rating of this game down. It has full controller support. I use the backbone one controller which is amazing and I recommend you get it to have a better experience with this game as well.

An “OK” port but could use more work. Known bugs aside, the graphics and frame rates have not been enhanced from what I can tell and the new features are missing a very important one for mobiles; save anywhere. That being said, it’s still FF8 on mobile. Honestly, I can live with everything except the “save anywhere” feature prevalent in most mobile ports of console games. This is a must and is a glaring gap, especially for a premium priced mobile game.

Game is Glitchy. Game is amazing! Love playing it when I was younger and still love playing it now. Only problem with this version is that it’s glitchy. The sounds don’t work and it sounds like they’re trying to catch up with the game. It’s really annoying so if you guys could fix that, that would be awesome!

Game is no longer working!. EDIT FOR OTHERS AFFECTED BY THIS: Apparently putting your device in airplane mode makes the game actually function again without any issues… besides the obvious one of not being able to get achievements. OBVIOUSLY NOT IDEAL, A FIX IS STILL NEEDED. This game was working fine several months ago. Took a break from it and came back only to find that it does not work anymore, I’m assuming because of an iOS system update. This has apparently been an ongoing issue for a little while, based on other reviews. If this is not addressed I will be compelled to ask for a full refund.

Amazing!. Just completed the game and, I can report NO CRASHES, NO GLITCHES! Yes, my phone got hot (but I was also live streaming on Twitch). It still didn’t drain my battery (I was using iPhone 12 Pro Max). The game looked great! Was worth the purchase price!

Having trouble starting. It's difficult to give this a fair review particularly because I've reinstalled the app twice so far and it will not play. - iPhone 11 Pro Max - ver 14.4.2 When opening the app you're greeted with the FF8 logo on a white background with the words "tap to play." Once you tap the screen fades to black for about 30 seconds. In 4 out of 20 attempts the app then crashed. In 3 a logo would start to roll on screen but would freeze before finishing the word and then stay locked up until the app was forced close. 10 tries the screen just stayed black. 1 try got to the second Square Enix logo on black background before feezing, 2 times the app made it to the "New Game, Continue, Credits" screen then when selecting New Game the app crashes. I hope this somehow helps with diagnosing a potential bug with the app. FF8 is one of my favorite in the series and it's one of the only games I can think of that ends in the beginning (though poor localization in the original release makes these dots difficult to connect). I'm looking forward to being able to replay.

Needs some improvement. First off, this is my favorite game of all time. I know, I’m the minority. I’ve waited a long time for this. Just a couple of gripes. Firstly, I’m trying to figure out how my phone (11 pro max) overheats from playing a game from 1999 for 15 minutes. Optimizations I supposed. Second, the white home bar at the bottom of the screen is always present. Small issue but noticeable. Otherwise, it plays wonderfully and it’s a nice touch bringing over the boosts from the remaster on other consoles.

CONTROLLER SUPPORT? My Favorite FF Game. This is bar none my favorite Final Fantasy game. I would buy it on a Toaster if Square Released it. If I could have this and Chrono Cross on my phone I’d die happy. That’s said... why is there no controller support for a game... made for a controller? I feel like this was a HUGE oversight. And yet another example of a trimmed development in FFVIII. If it would get added at some point I think that would be amazing. Beyond that the port is solid. The FMVs are a bit choppy. But the soft controls work well and the ability to speed up combat to get through drawing to max faster is appreciated.

Requires Gamepad Support. Very simply: this is a 5 star game. No, it is. The one star rating is because you NEED gamepad support to fully enjoy it. You need to hit R1 to trigger the Gunblade. You need to be able to click a d-pad to activate Zell’s limit break. I realize that adding support and cloud saves are “coming.” And when they arrive, I’ll change my review. But until then, it’s absolutely flawless. It’s my favorite FF game and a fantastic romance. It’s a five star port of a wildly under appreciated 5-star entry in the series. I can’t give it the score it deserves until such time as gamepad support is added. Fix it, so I can fix my rating.

Controller support?. Hi ! Thank you for this port- it’s pretty great but I’m too scared to invest time in it and fear I lose the save once cloud saving is enabled. And having the backbone controller for iPhone, it’s very frustrating there is no support. When will you release these critical features??

Problems with iCloud. It doesn’t synchronise well with iCloud and I lost my saved games!!

Only works on phone. Awesome game. Doesn’t work properly on iPad. Freezes, lags in sound and then won’t load. Works great on iPhone. Fix the iPad problem and I’ll change to 5 stars.

Favorite Final Fantasy. 10/10. I’ve got the original and remaster on literally every console and this is my favorite version thus far. It performs incredibly well. Would recommend to anyone who loved the original!

Finally!. I have been waiting for this game to come to iOS for so long! My favourite FF of all time and the first one I played which also inspired me to play all the other FF games since! (Except FF13, I couldn’t really stomach the gameplay on that one lol) Anyway, I haven’t played it yet but I’m so happy this is finally here and I can’t wait to replay this on my phone/iPad, as I have already done so in all the other platforms possible. Absolutely amazing on the iPad. I bought this game on the xbox and switch and hated how it was 4:3 screen aspect ratio. It looked weird on the other platforms It’s perfect on the iPad as it uses the whole screen. You can’t get this on any other platform and when I stumbled upon this I abandoned the other platforms for this version. This game is great but remember they lost the original game files so there is only so much they can do to make it even remotely a remaster Definitely worth the money on this wacky final fantasy adventure

Save Does not work. I was excited to play this game, I have tried multiple times to save my progress both on IPad and Mobile, neither saves to the platform or the cloud. Every time i select “continue” in the menu, it says there are no saves. How frustrating.

It stopped working.. I tried using this on an iPad 8th gen and it stops working after it says square enix. Sometimes it will go to new game and then completely freeze. I tried it on my 13 pro max and it does the same thing. I don’t know why it stopped working and it hasn’t had an update in 2 years. I’m on the latest iOS. Please update so this wasn’t a waste of money. I bought this on release day

Nostalgic!. Can’t believe I can play my favorite childhood game 20 years later on my phone. Run very smoothly and the battery efficiency is great on iPhone 12. Played for like 30 min and lost only 2% of battery. Also the no random combat option is very good to go for long distance and skip battle.

Everyone should know. The devs did a really slimy thing. Several of the FF titles were initially released- which I paid for - then removed from the store and the enhanced versions took their place. I will never support your company again

Yes!!. The remaster is great! Love the x3 speed for getting around garden and towns. Only issue I’ve been having is 20mins of play killed 40% of my battery. Hopefully something that gets fixed as I really love having an rpg to work on during my breaks (nowhere to plug phone in at work).

Problem with iPadOS 17.2. Updated to iPadOS 17.2 and the game stops loading on a black screen after the Square Enix screen

No Regrets!. I have been waiting for this game on iOS for years! Im happy to see that it seems like a much better remaster that the pc steam version as well. runs great on iPad air 4th gen. Also we now have remodeled npcs and not just main characters! The upscaled cut scenes are looking great. controls are working well, save for difficulty in using trigger on gun blade, but that will be solved when controller comes in. My feed back, rather my request, would be to the sharpen environments. a lot of blur was used to cover up the old lower environment resolution and thus its blurry. SE, please sharpen environments and make better textures of the environments in battle. then i feel like this game will truly been be complete.

Terrible. Recently purchased the game for my iPhone XR, game doesn’t load, it freezes right after “new game” is selected, the screen for my controls shows up, I close it to continue, game freezes. Waste of money. Fix the issue and I’ll fix my review.

Won’t load. Game goes to a black screen after the square enix screen and refuses to load even after sitting for an hour waiting on iPhone 15 pro.

Game does not work. I just purchased the game, installed, and went to play but unfortunately the screen goes black and doesn’t load anything after the Square Enix logo fades. Is there any fix to this? I’d be happy to change my review if so.

They don’t update their games. Be careful. They just delisted FF9 on the App Store. Who knows when this game and others will follow. I can not support a company who insists on taking people’s money but won’t update their content for loyal customers.

PLEASE FIX!!. I have an IPhone 15 Pro Max and the app doesn’t work anymore. It has a hard time loading and when it does, it lags a lot! (Like less than a frame per second) It worked fine on the IPhone 12 Pro Max, but haven’t been able to play it since.

Game lags and stutters at iOS 17. I have a iPhone 14 pro, updated to iOS 17, and the game is so laggy and stutters. I tried to start a new game and accept button takes 5 seconds to finish. I thought this worked on my phone pre iOS 17. Update, if you put in airplane mode, it works. Please fix.

i absolutely love this game but it is unplayable and lost my save :(((. I seriously enjoyed this game but for some reason the game itself won’t load- it’s making me depressed because i relied on this game to keep my mental health in check- PLEASE PLEASE fix this i want to play it again

IOS 17.2 NOT WORKING. Using an iPhone 15 pro max at iOS 17.2 the game freezes and is unplayable. So I downloaded the game on my 2018 iPad Pro running iOS 17.0 and it was working fairly perfectly until I updated my IPad Pro to 17.2 right after and the game became completely unplayable as it was on my iPhone.

My childhood. I grew up with FINAL FANTASY VIII it was my very first RPG I own it on my Xbox and to see it on here made me so happy. My childhood in my pocket ready to be go anytime I want. I’m so happy.

Fix the icon please. The icon, name and characters, not being in the middle, is driving me nuts.

Backgrounds worse than ps1 version. The blurry backgrounds completely break the game for me. It’s called AI upscaling. Since you guys are too incompetent or lazy to figure it out just pay a 14 year old modder to do it for you. Should have just ported the 2013 steam version over to mobile.

Love the game when it actually works.. iPhone 15 IOS 17.3 The game was working but now it won’t load beyond the initial loading screen. When you tap to start it goes straight to black.

FFVIII remastered but not controller friendly. How you can charge 21 dollars (US) for a remastered game and not have it work with controllers, specifically the Razer kishi is beyond me. Till support for controllers is updated this review will remain a one star for a game that should have earned five. Such laziness.

No quick save option. While I love to see Final fantasy 8 on the iPhone. Opening my camera will cause the game to close and lose any progress made since my last save. Not worth playing on my phone if it doesn’t support quick saves.

Please Add Cloud Saves & MiFi Controller Support. 4 Stars due to loving this game. It would be 5 stars if it had Cloud Saves and MiFi Controller support features.

No sound. Good game but the port on my IPhone X does not have sound what so ever. I have tried uninstalling and re downloading a few times but haven’t had sound once

Coolness. Would be amazing with controller support. It’s not the same just tapping. Would give it a 5 if it did have controller support. It really made the game back in the day, the battles anyway, with Squall’s attack and LB and the gf boost. Still great game!

Why can’t I play it?. Game opens, but the screen just stays black. Tried reinstalling several times, also tried running in “airplane mode” nothing has worked. Please fix.

Awesome. Lovi it love it love it I give it a 4.8 stars. One question though is if I wanted to start over from scratch how do I erase the saves from memory

Won’t work. I was excited to play this game with my Backbone controller but it won’t load past the start up screen. I submitted a report to Apple a couple of months ago but it still doesn’t work. Please fix this game so I can get my $20 worth from it!

Phone over heats during battle. I love Final Fantasy 8 along with many others but it’s not fun when you can’t play it without worrying if your phone is going to over heat. Hope this issue can be fixed iPhone 11 Pro Max

Games still good, store not so much.. This game was always one of my favorites. The only issue is the store itself charging me full price when it’s suppose to be discounted through this time. But yeah, game itself is still as memory serves.

Don’t waste your money. This game is only playable for the first hour and then when you get to the train puzzle the button mapping will cause a game over every time because it isn’t accurate enough.

Won’t load. Just purchased this game on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and it won’t start up. Loading screen takes awhile to come on after that it’s a black screen. Tried restarting already. Anyone else having that problem?

Game doesn’t bootup. I’ve been having issues getting this game to work on my iphone xr. Once i get past the main menu, the game doesn’t start. It’s just stuck in a black screen. Wish the developers would send out an update to fix this problem.

Bought this to support Square Enix. Looking forward to playing this game for the first time. Please release FFX and FFXII as well, I will purchase it with no hesitation.

This is amazing!!. Final fantasy 8 was one of my favorite games growing up! I can’t believe it is available in the app store_ WOW!! I can’t wait to play it again, thank you! :)

Terrible iPhone implementation. In the first 15 minutes of the game there was no way to access the [command]Buttons, and other times the game would require pressing an X button that was nowhere to be found. I’m amazed they would release this.

Doesn’t launch. It worked well enough last summer. But this isn’t launching either my iPad or my iPhone with the latest iOS version.

Doesn’t allow personal music/podcast to be played in the background. Looks and runs great on my XS Max but you can’t listen to your own music/podcasts while playing the game.

Trip down to memory lane!. This is my childhood and what a nostalgic feeling for me to be able to play it again..

5 *if* they added the PC game cheats. Great port and it’s almost perfect, but only three cheats are offered. Please add the card game cheats and others that the PC version got. Thanks!

It’s not remastered as the title says. The graphics are no where near the remastered version. It’s still the pixelated graphics from the PS1 era, but at least it’s FFVIII on mobile. Let’s hope Square Enix will update the graphics to reflect the game that we thought we were actually purchasing.

Refine the controls. The onscreen controls are fine most of the time, but they could use refining.

Broken. The game does not work properly on my iPad Pro. Everything is substantially slower (like it's in slow motion), sound doesn't work, controller support no longer works. I really hoped to keep playing until the end, I hope it gets resolved.

Lag. One frame takes longer than a mgs4 cutscenes I've only made it to the title screen with "load" and without skipping freezes the game

Won’t load. Downloaded the game and played it just fine. The next day it won’t load or the fps is so bad the game is unplayable. I submitted a message to square, I’m hoping for a fix soon.

Yes!!. I have been waiting for this game for a long time now! I am a long time Final Fantasy fan and can’t wait to see more come out! Keep up the good work!

Great Port; but Save feature does not work on iPad.. I have iCloud Drive enabled on my device and I just lost two hours of gameplay after exiting the game to recover an Ifrit I lost in a card game. 😅

Does not take advantage of max pro screen.. has two horrible borders on the side. outside of that… excellent game. they could had spruced up the environment with more graphics.

Painfully Slow. The game itself, is one of my all time favorites from the series. This particular iteration is a complete let down as it only plays at half speed on my phone, even with the 3x speed activated. Save your money and get the game on PC, or on console.

UNPLAYABLE. Please please update this app or fix the bugs. Can’t get past the start title screen. As soon as it opens I get a black screen. This happens regardless if I’m connected to WiFi or have background apps on. Guessing that iOS updates just broke this game. Extremely sad, because I love this game. Very unhappy with this……

bruh. When your FF games get bricked by iOS updates, it would be tight if you could update them to be playable w/out forcing a million 1 star reviews like w/ff9, which is finally playable again, but now ff8 is not, and that's just a totally avoidable bummer and I gotta say I resent yall for that.
