Useful. Good practice for auditory discrimination and sound to letter correspondence.

Not intuitive. I read some great reviews on this, either the version is outdated or this is not remotely intuitive on how to get started! Spent an hour trying to get it functional and have no idea how to “add the required label to at least one item in the secret word list”to get started...

Great App!. This looks like a great app for my little guy who is just starting to learn words.

Try it you'll like it. Interesting use of picture cues for cognitive thinkers. Love it.

Doesn’t work. Can’t get it to work

Great for Dibels K-1st FSF and NWF!!!. We're all looking for that perfect sight word or red word reading app, right? Well, this one should be added to the list! It's a sight word app, plus more.... The student must use first sound fluency of an object and then go the next step to match it to the correct letter. Great for K and 1st Dibels users. (Don't worry, if your student cannot name the object, all they need to do is touch it and it will name the object aloud.) Once the letters are arranged, they spell a sight word. It reads the sight word twice. What would be perfect is to perhaps use the sight word in a simple sentence. This is a very user friendly, instructional app!!!

Sight Words. Great way to learn and practice sight words. I love that you can customize the words!

Engaging way to practice sight words and letter-sound correspondence. I really like the game-like format of this app that encourages students to think about the beginning sounds and the corresponding letters. Then, students have to blend the sounds together to make the secret word. My favorite apps are those that practice multiple skills just like this app! I can't wait to use it in the fall.

Error. Works on my phone, but on my iPad, I get the error: “you need at least one item with a label in the selected board to play SecretWords.”

No directions. How do you add words? When working with children we don’t have hours to set things up.

Interesting. It seems like a good app. It's taking some getting used to. I'm not able to access all twelve games like it says. Not sure how to do that.

Good idea. I like that students learn more than one skill. They can review picture identification skills, improve letter sound association and learn new words.

Great for Therapy. This is easy, visually fun and has great customizing and data tracking features. Wish I could change the font, because students are confused by certain letter formations.

Exciting way to practice sight words. Another awesome game! I am looking forward to using this! Great way to keep track of individual children's progress. I like how it practices beginning sounds as well as sight words. The game is self correcting and encourages the child to read (form words) left to right. Being able to tap on each picture to hear its name is a great way to help those who have limited picture vocabulary. Having the sight word read to the child after they complete it is a great way to reinforce each word. I particularly like being able to add your own sight words!! GREAT JOB!

Not user friendly. Don’t waste your money. I tried to play the game and it said I needed one label on the board to play. I can’t figure out what that even means. There are tutorials but they don’t make sense. If you are looking for a quick start game this is not it!

Secret Sight Words. I wrote a review but I was charged for this app. Not sure why. I do like this app! More than 1 skill is being taught. It makes learning sight words fun! Love that I can track progress!

Nice app for students who are starting to read.. When guessing the spelling of a word students usually can correctly guess the first letter, and by adding first letters the students discover a secret word. This is a nice idea. It could be used with customs boards with secret words to spell out a secret message!

Secret Sight Words. I really like this app as a phonics review for 3rd graders. It allows for a number of users so perfect for a work station. Great!

Cultural differences. Although cultural differences make some words a little mysterious to begin with, the basic method is great for learning spelling and word formation

I wish you could change narration voice.. I think this is a superb app for the younger learner. It could be a great app for people of all ages if a more adult-sounding voice could be selected. Also, when you tap the word pix, it would be nice to have an option that isolates the initial sound. I tutor all ages and abilities, and could make good use of your app with these changes:)
