Great practice app. This app is just right for many of my first graders who need extra practice with CVC words. It would be even better if I could add my own words.

Hi. Yaaah!!. Wow, what fun to learn appropriate iPad finger movement as you are entertained by learning to read!! Once again, this teacher of the visually impaired loves the contrast between the background and letters presented, the letter thickness, size & color, and that it is customizable for speed & the number of words presented simultaneously. The lowercase (small) letter j is not curved at the bottom, & this could cause some confusion. Thank you for combining accessible learning with appropriate swiping fun---all in one.:-)

Wonderful. Great for children just learning to read. Only reason it doesn't get a fifth star is my children tire of it after a short time, since it is a little repetitive.

Great for my son with dyslexia. I enjoyed this app for my son who is 8 with dyslexia. It helped his auditory processing and then to speed up his automatic reading. He enjoyed the slicing of the words like a ninja. I liked under parent controls that I could chose the words for him to concentrate on and the levels.

Expecting great things!. I've downloaded all of the other reading ninja apps and they are fantastic! Hoping for more of the same. :)

Better than Fruit Ninja. My son loves this game. It's great to see how many words he actually can read. I like that there is a timer, and that you can set the difficulty of the game. It would be nice to customize the words though.

Good that needs a few little improvement. It is definitely fun. My son loves the other ABC Ninja and Numbers Ninja apps. This app would be wonderful if you could add your own words. My son is learning to read 3 letter words, but some of the ones he is working on are not included. We would use it daily as part of our homeschool if i could customize it. The last thing is, I really don't like the 3 finger parental control feature. It always takes me multiple tries to get into it. Very frustrating most of the time.

Fun and fast. This app is a fun and fast approach to sight word recognition. My son enjoys slicing the words he recognizes. The app is cute and the words are clear. It's a good app for sight word practice.

Ninja words. I like the ability to control the timing and level but I do not understand why when I chose short a words short e words are mixed in. I cannot wait to try it with my students.

Love the prompt/correction procedure!. I love that when you get the answer wrong it gives you a second chance and if you still get it wrong it plays the same word with only the correct response. This is great for kids that need a more structured activity and reinforcement! Love all the apps by this developer!

Not that impressed. My kids love the slicing action but the words move so fast until the word they are saying is not the word they are currently slicing. I would love to slow it down but there is not an option.

No instructions?. There’s no sound or instructions on how to play. My kid is just touching every word without reading. Is this just an update problem?

Frustrating for kids when words overlap. When the words fly across the screen, often times the words overlap ever so slightly and even when tapping the correct word, the game also thinks they tapped the incorrect word as well. Would be better if the words bounced off each other rather than overlapping and avoiding the confusion

Almost perfect. This would have been PERFECT if it were customizable. If it had the capability of adding longer words, it would be useful for a much longer period of time. It is a GREAT app, as is.

Reading Ninja. Good for hand eye coordination, super fun ninja slicing. Not great with keeping not pace with words and recognition-would pop words many up and still be saying just one word that had been missed.

DH. Fun, and the price is right. This app helps kids learn to read three letter CVC words and can be set to three different speeds to adjust difficulty. You can also select which short vowels to practice from the word lists. Good for Kindergartners and early first graders. Next--please make a Ninja for sight words. I'd buy it in a hot second!

Good for struggling readers. App gives extra help for those with tracking issues and offers chance to get in those needed repetitions. I really like that I can control which words he needs to focus on.

Great for early readers!. I love this app. I downloaded it for my nephew who is obsessed with fruit ninja. My only critique would be to make it customizable for longer words and to change the font to make the words clearer. Sadly the lower case "J" is missing the curve at the bottom, so words like "jam" look like "lam". Thank you!!!

Great word recognition app. This is a fun and interactive way to practice word recognition skills.

Kids like right away. My kids liked this app immediately and have been defaulting to it as a learning app. I would like to see a wider variety of more difficult words or even versions for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts.

Fun game. This is a fun game. I would like to add my own words though. I like how the words spin and the swiping sounds. The incorrect sound is also just the right level. Many of my students enjoy the wrong sound more so than the correct sounds and try to get items wrong on purpose.

What is there not to like?. Fun, educational and even a good soundtrack. I am looking forward to being able to add our own words, especially if I could direct import my word sets from Bitsboard :-)

Great with good options. My son really enjoyed this game and he improved in only a few minutes. The speed at which he was able to identify the words increased very quickly! He struggled to understand some of the words with the strong accent but I have now recorded my own voice saying the words and I think he will find it much easier now. Love the ability to record my own voice and the many options available. As noted by someone else, the J looks like an i which is confusing when just learning to read - if not for this would have given 5 stars

Cute. Kids enjoy. This is a cute app and the kids enjoy it. My grandchildren have just turned 3 so are not ready for spelling. However it will be a good tool for future use.

Sight words. A great alternative than flash cards to help teach their sight words. Just needs more words to be introduced.

Reading Ninja. Finally an educational app my son enjoys. His reading scores have jumped and he finally likes reading.

Love it!. This opens fine on my iPad 2 with the latest OS. It is fantastic for helping my 6 yr old with his spelling words. I would like to see the ability to customize it a bit more. Right now he is working on -an & -it words. I am able to turn off most of the other words, but have to keep at least one turned on in the other categories. I would also like to see some basic sight words added and the ability to add your own words. If I could type in my own words I would give this 5 stars.
