Very Glitchy. Not going to focus on sounds if app is glitchy. Touching upper right “All Presets”, by sorting option, IMMEDIATELY crashes app. Loading sounds makes app struggle.

I can’t do without this instrument!. This is the most perfect portable instrument to take to any session! The sounds are incredible, the textures are enormously grand…almost vocal in how they use the formant feature…. It is truly an investment in your musical future… And it’s an investment that is definitely affordable by most people! I hope it never goes away!

OMG, The GeoTenorSax is to die for!. It’s out of this world how expressive the sax is! On my iPhone I can press into the screen to make it growl.

Incredibly expressive. GeoShred is a lot of fun, and with its sounds and features a serious instrument in its own right. As primarily a keyboard player I enjoy the expressiveness of sliding to adjacent notes and controlling vibrato with my fingers. With limited skill on this surface it is still easy to play engaging riffs and melodies — and it sounds great. The MIDI has been erratic for me but I think this may be more of an issue with Apple/Ableton. For instance, I have projects in which I have recorded and played back MIDI, but then I go back to a track and the MIDI no longer plays. Perhaps I have not worked with this enough to understand why this might happen. Nonetheless, I intend to continue to build my facility with GeoShred and incorporate it into my music production workflow. Thanks!

Great sounds and nice interface.. Almost perfect. If it had iFretless’s true velocity sensitivity on iPad it would be perfect. Sax and clarinet add on are first class. They seem to have changed the ECHO problem, thanks.

Fantastic. Incredible expressive and very easy to learn, especially as someone very familiar with piano and guitar. After playing this I really wish guitar had the same white and black note indication. I’ll be trying it as a controller sometime soon

It's more than a real instrument. Buy with your eyes closed. The things you can do with this app are endless and hi quality. There is absolutely no excuse not to have good sounds at your fingertips now that it's low cost and available to all. I was going to buy an actual saxophone and spend years learning it. This app coupled with swam geotenor sax sounds realistic enough to replace the whole instrument. I would say it's 90% there. I'm playing on an iPhone but I'm going to buy an iPad just to play this app on a bigger surface area. The app is worth twice or more what it goes for. Get the play version and upgrade to pro if you like it. I have no doubt you will be impressed. Puts all other ios music apps to shame.

The most fun music app on iOS. I have lots of fantastic music apps on my iPad but this is the one I pick up most often when I just want to relax and play some music. The interface feels fantastic. It replicates a lot of the expressiveness of a stringed instrument both directly on the strings and through extra controls at the top. It also gives you the option to only show notes in a scale so you don’t even have to know anything to play it. It sounds really good too. It has a ton of presets, although I almost always play the first one called “Shred Lead”. If you upgrade, you have a bunch of options to customize the sounds but it’s definitely not necessary. GeoShred is basically a souped up Bebot. If that sounds interesting to you, you should definitely get it. If you want a virtual guitar on your iPad, you should definitely get it. If you’ve been considering an MPE controller and want something inexpensive to see if you like it, GeoShred is a great option.

Incredible sound!. I’m no musician but love music:) Growing up I always imagine how awesome it would be to actually start learning and now that I’m over the 50 mark, I’m going to do what I can to learn and I believe this App will definitely be my Motivator. The ultimate iOS instrument. It’s an instrument in your pocket - if even better on an iPad than an iPhone. It’s an extremely versatile lead guitar made accessible to a keyboardist. It’s a new challenge for mastery, too - capable of delivering on whatever effort you’re willing to invest. Start with GeoShred Play, then go Pro. ROI is there even before mastery. As a heads up and wish list, most patches are only good entertainment, not playable without adjustment, though plenty to choose from. It’d be nice to have them prearranged better to sort the playable guitar-like sounds from the preset arpeggiated sounds, but you can arrange them yourself. I’d like to see the pure acoustic sounds library expanded a bit further - e.g. more focus on some nylon string guitar derived sounds. Deficiencies aside, GeoShred delivers an instrument to a screen, and in a way one could hardly conceive of. There’s no going back to being without it.

GeoShred is totally accurate. The sax and flute patch are both realistic and easy to play. Expressive and accurate on every level.

Must-have app for any music enthusiast!. I am a keyboardist in a band. I was skeptical of purchasing Geoshred unaware of its capabilities and whether or not I can use it in my live performances. After purchasing the basic Geoshred Play app, I was extremely impressed by how accurate it was. I made several in-app-purchases (GeoSWAM and Naada collections) and I could not be happier. These instruments sound so real and authentic. I use Geoshred for playing lead solos in my performances with my band. There is no delay when performing live with this app. It allows me to be extremely expressive since it allows me to "flow" from one note to the other and has a host of effects that I could use. To top it all, the support staff have been amazing. They readily respond to email queries. I strongly recommend this app for all music enthusiasts.

Thanks to Geo. The world of music was a mysterious black box to me that I had put off from opening for a long time until I discovered GeoShred. With its ease of use, helpful online community, and wealth of free learning materials, I think now anyone can get a chance to become a sought-after musician. &

I have a small issue with font size in your app. I love this app a lot you guys are so great. Even on an iPhone it works very good BUT I HAVE A SMALL GRIPE My gripe has to do with a font size issue. The print is very small The reason why I use apple products is due to there accessibility options. I have low vision and the text in the app is very small and does not respond to larger fonts for big print users through accessibility options In IOS And does not have an option to increase the font size in the app itself Thanks for looking in to this. A couple of suggestions 1. Make it so that the software will respond to larger fonts from the IOS device through accessibility options Or 2. In the GeoShredPlay app in settings put a font size tab There is all ready a font tab in settings Either way it would fix the problem And make this app much easier to use for those like me with less then perfect vision Pleas consider this in future updates and do this with all of your apps Thanks for creating this app it is the boss Thank you for reading my review

Deep, Amazing App. This is my go to app for midi controller. Coming from the guitar world, I love the layout. The learning curve is pretty easy, because it is so addictive to play. But don’t be fooled, it is really deep. I call it my guitar music theory in a box. And it has handled every midi interface that I have thrown at it.

Inspirational App. Was surfing FB when I came across Jordan’s add about GeoShredPlay being free during this Covid deal. I decided to download and a check it out. It’s actually an amazing instrument!! I will most likely be upgrading to the full version. Can’t put it down.

Great app!. I use this app to figure out practice pattern and exercises that I can transfer to bass when my instrument isn’t handy. I also like running it through AUM and loopy as a controller. Very cool instrument!

Great app. I am new to this app, have installed since last 10 months ago, but no idea how to play. I am not a musician and not much basic knowledge for any musical instruments or musical app. But recently one day, I tried to play something with GeoShredPlay for 2-3 days, amazingly, I made some notes like “SA RE GA MA”, and form that day, about 15 to 18 days till today, I am trying to learn music through this app. Don’t know what can I will do. Incredible app!. This thing is absolutely amazing! Options are limitless. Some presets also have backing tracks which is great for practice. Best part is that you’ll hit a wrong note.

Become The Wizard. This is easily the best multi-instrument app I have ever seen. Easy to use, great sounds, and allows for limitless expression.

Wonderful app and a very responsive tech support. [Updated] amazing app! Works really well and very intuitive to use. What makes it even better for me is that the developers responded to my issue very quickly and helped me resolve it and I really appreciate that! Cheers! I love the app and have been using it for at least 2years but I recently switched to iPad Pro 2020 and the app drains so much of the battery even in background. I have a feeling that it runs on full power even in background that’s why it’s doing this. If devs could look into it that would be really great.

Got me hooked. The SWAM instruments are truly amazing. Especially the GeoViolin gives the real feel of playing a violin. Totally worth the IAP This is by far the best audio modeling app that I have used. The amount of customization that it allows is beyond words. Note name font, world notes (Indian ragas), midi compatibility, performance settings etc can get you almost infinite levels on control. Really appreciate the great work and effort put into this app.

Really fun!. I see this app being really helpful to a session musician, and good to a jam artist. The backing tracks built into the presets are really fun, and good if you want to make music on the go. 5/5!

Great sound, really bad store. Half an hour trying to buy an IAP. I think it worked because now I get the message that I have already purchased asking if I want to download again. Not that I have ever downloaded this IAP. After I say yes to downloading there is an error at the top of the screen. "Transaction failed, try later. So which is it? Have I bought it or has the transaction failed. I bought the SWAM Flute days ago and it was the same. If you want people to buy this stuff you have to make it a pleasant process. This is crazy. Each purchase is a process driving me to the edge of insanity. I have rebooted several times, closed the app over and over. Same ridiculous outcome. So, what now?

Magical!!!. Yesterday I was complaining that I could no longer use Morphwiz and Tachyon in Audiobus. This morning I watched a test run of Geoshred on The Soundtestroom on Youtube. After, I decided to give it a try with the ‘Play’ version. If I was not convince before I am totally sold to the concept now! I will certainly upgrade to the Pro version. This app is AMAZING!!!!

Free for a bit yay. I love how this, bebot, and Animoog all have good layouts for playing synth stuff for mobile/iPod Touch devices. I don't like the touch keys on Garageband as much as some other synth apps like this one and some others. I like how this is free fpr a bit. Get it while you can, I would totally use this in recordings for sure. 🤘🏻

The Best of Apps. Very user-friendly. The basic functions are pretty intuitive and it’s all eight kinds of fun to play. Precise melodies are easy, even on an iPod. I would imagine GeoShred on an iPad would be even better.

Cool MPE Capable Program. I’m still figuring out how to best use the app, and am still struggling to best map my linnstrument to the Naada physical modeling instruments. The creators are very responsive, and I am confident that I will eventually sort out my issues (MPE is a bit of a difficult beast to optimize, as there are many different options, and ways of handling it). It does seem that all of the desired options are there (which often other software/hardware lacks), but there is a bit of a learning curve. 5 Stars for the great support, and the value of being able to get the SWAM and Naada instruments at a price point within my budget (The SWAM desktop/ipad standalone/vst plugins are quite a bit more expensive than with the in app purchase from GEOSHRED.

Difference between pro vs play. I recently upgraded my geoshred play to pro version by paying the extra $14.99. But I still see the same blue icon. How would I know that it got upgraded?

GeoKing is KING.. My mates here at MoForte, the creators of GeoShred are simply on another level; so where do I even begin to convince you that this is THE app to purchase when it comes to mobile music production? I’ve been using GeoShred for a bit now, since it launched actually - I’ve owned all versions - and my review is a general one so do take into account that there’s three apps and they each have their own place (PLAY is pretty much stand-alone - so it’s the instrument without connectivity with other apps, while CONTROL is an amazing MPE controller to control “external” sounds and finally, PRO is both in one package). MoForte seriously created one if not THE MOST amazing app for iPhone for Music Production. Many would argue this category belongs to HOSTS, like AUM, ApeMatrix, Loopy Pro… etc. While to a certain extent this is true, I would still have to say that when it comes to IPHONE, the king will always be “the Shredder”: trust me, you will have a hard time finding a better tool for Music Production in 2022 than an iPhone XS Max paired with GeoShred - this setup offers this one thing NO new iPhones WILL EVER GIVE YOU —> 3D Touch. 3D Touch + GeoShred = MPE that is pressure sensitive and polyphonic, on your phone (BRO… WOOT?!?)! Seriously, if you care about expressive playing, this is THE TIME to buy a refurbished XS Max, before they simply disappear from the used / refurbished market - I know I will be getting a second one now that the price has gone down drastically, simply to use it as a GEOSHRED CONTROLLER (for real, this is just how good GeoShred is). With an iPhone XS Max on your pocket and GeoShred, you’ve pretty much got one of the most versatile and also the most pocketable MPE controllers out there: How can I explain I sometimes even ditch MY ROLIS for the iPhone? —> YES, that is just how good GeoShred is for MPE, especially on an iPhone WITH 3D Touch. It is so good I have not upgraded my phone in years - as a musician and game developer - I seriously, by far, prefer what the iPhone XS Max has to offer when paired with amazing apps such as GeoShred than the new iPhones “PRO” will ever be able to do; they’re a joke in comparison, nothing pro about them other than the camera (and the chip upgrade, this is undeniable but it’s also obvious and therefore irrelevant under this context), and apps like GeoShred precisely serve to PROVE this. One must also consider all the incredible sound packs available both through GeoShred directly and through other apps such as the magnificent SWAM suite (which honestly plays so much better when controlled via GeoShred than when played via their native SWAM controller, so I would most likely not even use these SWAM apps on my phone at all if I didn’t have the ability to use my phone as both the MPE controller and the “sound box” - I’d just go for the iPad and either “the Phone Shredder” to send midi to it, or an MPE controller). The NAADA collection is amazing, simply brutal… and the SWAM ports that are native to GeoShred are about as amazing as the actual SWAM apps - they do not miss much - some might even prefer them as they are far less cumbersome to control when they are controlled via GeoShred. Seriously, if you own a 3D Touch device you will get out of GeoShred so much more than what you can already see in most videos on YouTube (it’s an amazing controller EVEN without pressure sensitivity; but most users simply do not take advantage of this feature, which to me is THE MOST important feature in the whole app so I gotta make sure to point it out here REPEATEDLY). GeoShred is the most amazing midi controllers if you’re a “string instrument player” - this is NOT an easy category to fill, ask any string player. You simply cannot really emulate the dynamics of such instruments without MPE, and GeoShred is king at this. This, by the way, applies equally as well for wind instruments. It really is a shame Apple removed 3D Touch, as paired with this beauty of an app, it simply was an incredibly revolutionary technology that we will be missing out in the future for sure. So in conclusion…: just get it - you won’t regret it AT ALL. Pat, thank you so much for the amazing app and support - you guys are amazing and are literally game changers to me and many others.
