Oh Yeah!!!. This is the synth I've been looking for....super easy to program...big full sound... nice effects unit......midi works great....and even velocity sensitivity for filter and amp. I've been making cool lead sounds and fat pads. Really worth it.

Great sounds, easy to tweak. I didn't think I needed yet another subtractive synth, but this one won me over. Lots of great presets, and the ability to run them as embedded Audio Units are worth the price of admission alone. What appears to be a simple subtractive synth interface hides a lot of power under the hood. A lot of variety and unique sounds are possible, with twin oscillators, twin filters (each with their own dedicated envelopes) that can run in parallel or in sequence, and twin amplifier envelopes. Throw in dual LFOs and nice-sounding onboard effects, easy MIDI setup, and, well you get the idea. Put this on your short list.

Great synth. Seriously great sounds. Works great. Love the new sounds 5 stars if you ever decide to put the settings into AU, because i cant access things i need to when im in AU mode. Thats the cleanest way to produce music, but no settings for key, scales, arpeggios or any of that. Truthfully..i would love to see you take all that out of menus and make it a button on the main page. Going to settings for changing those are kinda daunting. Thats all i ask for 5 stars.

Like a real synth. Ya this baby isn't deep but the sound is insane . It would be great to have more routings and mods but it's so killer it doesn't matter . Buy it.

Fantastic update. Punchy sound and plays well with others, now.. Another update... haQ!!!!!!!! O. M. G. Update: YESSSS!!!!!!! MIDI learn. Thank You! I rarely rate five stars, but this one gets it. Suh- WEET! Nice cutting sound. Easily stands out in a dense mix. Almost no latency with MIDI. Works super well even with older hardware (I write this on an iPad2 in a first gen Alesis iO Dock). The whole app uses very little storage space. A very capable synth.

Get this!! Now!!. Visually inspiring, very easy to use. This is not just yet another iOS synth. It's one of those synths you will keep coming back to over and over. Everything about this synth has been well thought about making it very easy to navigate an produce really great sounds, and being now an Audio Unit makes it very flexible for creating music in your favorite daw. One critique which would make this perfect. add a Noise Waveform as aposed to just a noise effect. Probably even including a 3rd Osc would make this synth complete, Otherwise a great synth that one should have in their music arsenal.

a REAL synth for ios. this thing is amazong, especially for the price, and I've owned a few. nice work on this one.

Thanks. Thanks for fixing the iPad Air 4 bug. Now this Synth is rocking big time. Love it.

Wow! How did I miss this synth for so long?. As a dedicated iOS musician I have a literal collection of roughly all of the best synth apps out there and a lot of the mediocre ones as well. The presets on this synth are perhaps the best sounding I've encountered on iOS. Do yourself a favor and get Poison, for the 10 bucks I think you will be very happy with the value!

Jacob Haq was right. This is a great synth for uk styles and is light on the cpu... And reasonably deep too! Very pleased with it, is in my go to rack. Don't miss it!

No Fair!!. How am I supposed to do anything else when this app is so freaking great? So now what do I do with 200 other apps that don'tsound this good? My wife is going to go, "see, I told you to wait!!". I bought this and LayR in the last two days, my lord things are good for me right now!! Does anyone know how to rename patches that I've edited, I've done everything I know and can't seem to figure it out. This app like LayR is a killer! If I had to choose between the two I think right now I'd choose Poison just because it sounds so great and is so intutive for an old synther like me. So worth the money!!

Great Bang for the Buck. Because the price was reasonable, I was willing to try this app. Poison-202 is a fantastic value for the money. I bought it for me and I bought another copy for my son. That says it all for me. Highly recommended!!

Not quite what I was expecting.. I don’t remember what I payed for this app, but I was hoping the sounds would be a little better. Doesn’t seem to have the options of manipulation that I’d want. Also the arpeggiator leaves a lot to be desired. A sequencer would be nice. In comparison to the other synth apps I have, this is merely taking up space. If I could get my money back, I would. I’m sure there are people who like it, but I only half-like it.

Great Audio Units!. It might look expensive, but it’ll give you plenty of synth power, and works well if your collection isn’t as big yet. Also try the different effects and more, you’ll be in for hours of supersaw monsters.

New favorite!. The interface is super smooth and easy to use. Nice amount of presets and sounds great. Poison 202 and beatmaker 3 is a match made in heaven for me.

Great synth but design flaws. This synth is a great little package. It has very analog sounding filters that perform excellently. However, the “old school” UI has a few flaws, number one being unison. The synth engine is capable of unison, but there is only one oscillator mode that allows you to use it. For EDM, unison is essential and I strongly believe each oscillator should have fully controllable unison with voice number, mix, and detune. Another mild inconvenience is the lack of a controllable noise oscillator. While the synth has noise there is no envelope or filter. Overall, this little synth has amazing bones, great sound, and a solid start.

Great subtractive synthesis!. I am really enjoying this synth and have to tip my hat to the developer. Programming it is very straight forward and the UI is exactly what I have come to expect from a traditional subtractive synthesizer. The addition of the pitch envelope is indeed a plus. The one thing that I cannot figure out how to do is change the keyboard Octave Range. I see that it changes when I browse through patches so there must be a way to set and save this parameter. I have looked and looked but this function still eludes me. Help! Dmitrij Pavlov responded to your review of Poison-202 Vintage Synthesizer Dmitrij Pavlov "Hello! You can easily change the Octave Range. Tap near the top edge of keyboard, and you will see an octave selector. Scroll it with one finger to move range, or pinch with two fingers to change keys size (zoom)."

Everything is excellent about this synth!!. Excellent sound--very Roland'esque! Excellent connectivity (AB3, IAA, AU, etc.)! Excellent user interface (great layout and easy to use)! Excellent build quality (very stable, no crashes or bugs)! Excellent patches (lots and lots of them and great variation)! Excellent support (this synth keeps getting better and better)!!!

Amazing, from vintage to most modern.. Amazing, from vintage to most modern. This synth sounds great. It is going to be top of the list for apps I use at live shows. Very easy to program. This thing checks all the boxes. Great sound design, a great deal of time must have gone into programming all those instantly recognizable patches. I'm in a classic dance rock cover band and these patches gave me some great ideas for songs to add to our set list. If your into programming your own sounds and have experience with analog synths you will be right at home with the controls. The multi-effects and arpeggiator really round out this great new synth app. Well worth the money. You will not be disappointed, I sure wasn't. Can't wait for your next synth or cool updates you might come up with for the 202.

Just what I wanted. Just the synth I was looking for and at a very attractive price. Definitely will be using this one.

Like it, but would love if it had recording capabilities. The sound sets are awesome, I’ve already created some custom ones from the presets and this app does not disappoint, I was initially worried about the price, but it turned out to be well worth it. The only thing I feel is left is to add a recording feature, which also allows exports (multi track recorder would be preferable). Once again this app is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who is new to synths and wants to create some cool music. Thank you!

Amazing!. Sweet and powerful synth! Works very well with Garage Band. Very thick and rich textures, lots of control, tons of presets and room to save your own creations. Better on an iPad but still great on iPhone 8. Thanks to the devs for a great app!

Great app, light on resources. This is probably my most-used plug-in. It's very capable and stable, and it's not a resource hog like some other synths on the app store. Useful for just about any type of electronic music.

A cut WAY above. I have so many IOS synths, that it really takes one like this to inspire a review from me. It just plain sounds great and with all the tweak-ability that one could ever want, without being overwhelming or too gimmicky in its UI design. It just keeps getting better with each update, great connectivity, and with a whole boatload of quality presets added frequently only add to its greatness. Highly recommended!

New Favorite. *possible bug*. Keys stick in some patches when playing from external midi (Akai EWI5000). More frequently when used as AU in BM3. I have most of the top tier synths on iOS and this is my favorite. I was excited to learn that Poison is plug and play with my EWI 5000 windstrument. Tons of expressive patches. I’m not sure if I can map additional parameters yet as I’ve been having too much fun testing all of the factory goods. Please add more wind patcHes!

Outstanding!. Excellent in every way ... I have a ton of music apps and this one is among the top choice. The interface design is right on ... the sounds are great ... the programming is superb ... the price was right ... well worth it ... I highly recommend it to any musician.

Excellent Synth. This thing sounds great - nice layout. It works like a great analog synthesizer. I use it a lot. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Too confusing and left out some stuff. When I got it I couldn’t find the record button and I’m not sure if this has all of the noise affects and sounds there are so developers plz fix this

One of the best!. I'm being fair! This is by far one of the best if not the best old school synth apps out there! The sounds are incredible and in some cases out of this world! The interface is very user friendly and easy to tweak sounds to create your own custom sounds. I went ahead and committed to 5 stars! Update to my initial review...Poison is compatible with Audiobus!!!

What a great surprise!. I am a professional musician with 7 albums released globally. My equipment includes the KORG Kronos 2, which sure makes a great controller for a small little pocket synth. Two words sum up my feelings about Poison-202. HUGE & FUN! I am enjoying its incredible amount of presets. All, great! I certainly give this 5 stars and even more if available. Great job, & thank you! Filmless Soundtracks

SUPERB! very nice synth!. This is a masterpiece synth. Especially when you turn on the waveform visual effect! I always use this for my Trap style beats!

One of the best well rounded synths I’ve played. Straight forward, simple yet deep, fun, smooth look. Love this thing use it a lot

Must have synth.. Absolutely fantastic. You need to own this one if your halfway series about iOS music production.

Scarred veteran. I’ve spent a bunch of $ on music apps. I’d rate this synth in my top 5% in music apps, and probably my top 2% in synths. This, Animoog and Moog Model 15 are all iPad must-haves. Great useful presets. I feel like instead of a bunch of random ‘here’s what you can do’ presets, they are a lot of really good starting points for things that you need. Kudos for including presets from some well known internet music personalities. I’ve spent hours exploring and creating. Stable and functional with daws as well.

I'm an old guy... I played synths in the 80's and.... Dimitrij Pavlov is envied. He is also on top of the game here.... and right from the gate... Where has he been? This app is like combing a Prophet 5, SH-101, OBx-a and a Rhodes Chroma... Yes the Chroma! It does exactly what I be been looking for since I've started on iOS... That bass scraping alien spine crushing sound. I've owned just about all analog synthesizers, including the CS80, and this one is easily placed in my top 5 apps. If you don't buy, you will find your future boring and useless.

A seriously ‘sick’ synthesizer. You can create real audio pandemonium with Poison-202 (Apple, again, does what they do best...lose app reviews and fail to put them, like they USED to do, in chronological order.) Only thing that’s done poorly is the note hold feature. It fails to highlight the held keys. For the life of me I fail to understand why a decent note hold feature is so hard for many developers to make. Everything else is well designed and has some awesome presets and well matched components to create some insane sounds!

Cool beans!. I write my own music. This little gem has exactly what I was looking for to create some modern sounds. Loads '0' fun!

Very good patches!. There are a huge selection of very good sounds, so much to choose from. My only complaints are the lack of sensitivity. When you hit a key there is no distinction between a hard press and soft. Also, the effects for real instruments like flute or sax are not sampled. Other than that, for the price, there are hours of entertainment and creativity built in.

Low CPU great dirty sounds!!. What rich synth! I love this app and use it on most of my tracks. It's really versatile and sounds beautiful! You can use several of these and barely soak any of the CPU up!

Favorite Synth !. This is an amazing synth! The only app I use for my music projects! Keep up the great work!

The most iOS synth for the money ever!!. So many options for such a small price. Love this app for real. Making real music with it. Thx.

This could be the perfect vintage synth app, but it doesn’t receive after touch!. This app is the perfect combination of great vintage synth emulation and ease of use, BUT, it does not receive after touch. Please add this in an update please, and you’ll have perfection! 4 out of 5 stars Aftertouch would make it 5 out of 5

Excellent update!. The new presets are fantastic and we now have AudioBus state saving. The best keeps getting better!

Accidentally bought. Hi I bought this by accident can you please give money back. Plsss

I really like it, especially the Haq patches. The Haq patches are very useful when I'm using this in GarageBand.

Because AU... and tempo sync. The new free patches sound great. The interface is logical and intuitive. Regular updates. And it plays well with others.

Saved me a lot of money!. I always come back to using this as my main synthesizer on stage. The simplicity and durability of the iPad combined with the great sounds and flexibility have made poison a true go-to for my synth needs. This app has scratched my itch for new gear many times as i often look for gear that does what I am already doing with this. I guess happiness is wanting what you have. Thank you!

Love it!!!. Great app. Lots of sounds to play with. Sure to please anyone’s ears just from the bank, even before tweaking sounds. No lag on iPad Pro. Well done developers.

This is a great synth. I love the ease of use and programming. It's also an audio unit extending its capabilities in host apps! This is a hard act to follow. The developer listens to his users!

Fantastic!. I held off on getting this synth because I heard that it was just aimed at the EDM crowd. I'm sure it's very useful for EDM but I'm a blues based rock guitarist. I bought it just to try something different. I'm sorry I waited. This is an amazing synthesizer that is useful across the board. Blues, rock, jazz, all kinds of electronica... it'll work great. I can't imagine where the synth could not fit in. Got a 120 piece orchestra and you need a little synthesizer mixed in? This will do it! The best part about it is that it's pretty straightforward. It's like having a synthesizer with all the knobs presented before you with no digital menus to dive into. Start tweaking sounds and have fun. That's it. I didn't even have to download a manual. If you never used the synthesizer in your life then this is a good starting point. Just start turning the knobs to see what they do and you'll learn pretty much everything you need to know about how synthesizers work because it's all here. Once you've learned it there are more complex "advanced classes" elsewhere on the App Store.

Awesome synth great interface. Well worth the money

Amazing I use this #BrucesPlanet. Totally the best Synth I’ve used in a long time. Fantastic to play live with my Keytar. #Bruce

Genuinely good.. The sound quality is right up there, along with all the usual synth features. It sounds amazing. Definitely recommend. 5/5

Excellent. Fantastic sounds. Once the Audiobus patch comes along, this will be my fav by far

Top quality. Need some cutting leads look no further. Indeed this is up there with the top class of iOS synth apps. A lot of fun and reminds me of the piercing and driving patches you could get out of Sylenth and other similar apps on the desktop.

Incredible synth, worth the price. The sounds on this thing are amazing, tons of faithful recreations of The Prodigy patches and more!

This is how it should be done!. It is hard to believe that this small synth can produce such amazing palette of sounds. Only 11 MB and at the same time light on iPad processor. Mr. Pavlov shows us that he is one very talented designer/engineer.

Free Sounds On Latest Update.... But even before the latest cool update this Synth is a Killah! I love the power of this synthi beast. Every synthhead needs Poison in their app arsenal. Keep up the superb work. Thank you for this latest update bonus too!

My go to synth when wanting to experiment. Multiple instances of thing will give you the fattest sounds you'll ever need.

One of Best Synths for IOS. It sounds really good and has plenty of control to help get the sound that you want.

Most Valuable tool. WOW , hard to put down , this is very good. A most valuable tool

Nice sound. Nice fat tone

Absolutely amazing enough said. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Good app. Good app.

Awesome synth. Great app! Thank you!

Sounds great!. The included sounds are awesome and they are so easy to tweak.

This is a really nice App!. A really cool app for the price with great sounds. Go get it!

Great Synth!. Superb Sounds

EXCELLENT!. Best $10.00 I’ve ever spent on a Synth, Very Easy to navigate and has several Great Sounding Presets, Works Great With Midi Controller, Great App.

Another great iOS synth. Poison-202 may not do anything revolutionary now that it's 2016 and we have dozens of great iOS synths. But I really like some of the interface choices they made, including use of larger text and buttons, and virtual keys that are almost useable on an iPad screen! Comes with about 150 presets, many of which may be recognizable from famous songs or signature synth lines. It sounds great and I find it very easy to edit. Does need AudioBus, and I would love to have this synth as an AU instrument within a DAW, but those are still relatively rare things among competing apps. Definitely worth a look!

It doesn't work with garage band…. The title says it all. It won't load.

Great Sound, Presets, and Design. The app is well designed and sounds great. You can create a wide range of sounds or choose among the many great presets. One of the best sounding iOS synths. Standalone, IAA, and AU support are there so you can use it in a wide variety of setups.

Worth 5x what I paid any day of the week. I bought this on a whim and it was an excellent choice. All the sounds are fantastic and they can easily be refined with all the controls. Very intuitive and fun to play. Can wait for whatever is next! I'll be watching this company!

PLEASE FIX!!. There’s been a bug ever since iOS 14 has been released where it always resets to the init sound after saving (specially Beatmaker 3) This needs to be fixed ASAP

its ok for the cost. I downloaded based on a review of a friend of mine but it's ok so far

Cool synth and great price. Having a blast with this synth. Connect it with my Samson Carbon 49, makes it great for live performance.

A fantastic Synth!. In a nutshell: sounds *really* good! Fun to program - a winner!

Great sounds, great plugin. Sounds great, works as an AU, plays nice with GarageBand and Cubasis. This takes iPad production to a world class level.

Fat Sounding Synth. Liam Howlett would love this beast!

One of the best on iPad.. I have enjoyed using this synth. With midi learn and a good controller it becomes almost as good as a hardware instrument. It's very fat and easy to tweak.

Delectable. Chunky. Fresh. Oh so fine.

Uh really?. App didn’t work and I would greatly appreciate a refund. Thank you.

NEEDS HOLD/LATCH BUTTON. But I'm giving it 5 stars anyway, because it sounds and looks GREAT, and I'm sure a HOLD button will show up in an upgrade. The presets are thick and lush. I already have lots of synths but still glad I added this one!!

Awesome. Thumbs up!!!!

It sounds great!. A good diversity of patches, a good interface, but most importantly, it sounds great!

Dope. I was just randomly browsing for a good synth app and came across it on YouTube. So far so good. It was worth the $10. Easy to use. Great thick sounds. I already use Synthmaster and Thor for iPad and I needed something different with vintage sounds. I love both of those apps hand down. I wish it had more presets, hold button. I know this is the first version so hopefully an upgrade is in the work these ideas. Dope app.

One of the greatest Synth. Poison is one of the greatest Synth app, It’s very intuitive and sounds awesomely

The best. Best synth on iOS

Fantastic !. Other than the physical hardware knobs/sliders one might want, I can’t imagine needing more of a capable analog synth than this. This synth truly covers all the bases and then some ; it’s truly incredible what this app allows an iPhone or iPad to become - sonically, a truly authentic sounding and programmable analog polyphonic synthesizer that can more than hold its own with the Prophets, Moogs and Rolands our there. I used to have gear-lust for a Prophet-6 or an OB-6. Not anymore once I got this app ! Sure, the hardware has more mod routings and boutique features, but I think most people would be hard-pressed to hear the difference between this app and the hardware hotshots in a blind sound test. I’d play this with a Bluetooth controller in a live setting instead of a real analog any day, and save myself $3-4000 in the process. Nothing more in an analog synth is needed now that I have this app ! Bravo !

Very good friends but still not in love. This is a wonderful app with considerable potential for best-in-class. Badly needs a hold button. Also having issue with recognition of my ConnectMidi4 Interface while it recognizes older Tascam iU2 and iRig Pro. Other apps recognize the CM4 w/o problem. Would really like to see this working properly. Problem appears to be with the app unfortunately. Love the arp implementation but quickly begs for additional development.

So Far. So, I have a lot of synths. I am an iPad synth addict. It becomes harder to justify my purchase every time, when I've already got the "classics" and so many others are just average, possessing no real innovation or unique qualities. It was with this in mind that I reluctantly purchased POISON. I was sure I was just compulsively buying another average synth and mindlessly shaving another 10 dollars off my bank balance to feed my addiction. I am happy to report that this synth is actually worth the money. The layout it absolutely ingenious in its simplicity - and while it's not some avant-garde musical instrument, it is a solid synth that packs a whole lot into a UI that just works. It's easy to navigate, it sounds awesome, AND it can be used as an AU synth (a feature not nearly enough synths can boast). Enjoy!

Great live synth!!!!!. I play live everywhere I gig & this SYNTH is unbelievable!!!!!!! Guys ask me how is that coming from your iphone & they simply just don't believe me!!!! Can't ask for better sound quality!!

Would be nice without crashes. Keeps crashing in AUM

Synth is great. Best synth for the price !!!!!!!!

Awesome. Very nice synth

Awesome Synth!!!. One of my go to for leads. Amazing the sound you get out of this. 🔥🔥🔥

my favorite synth tool.. love this app!! thank you for this amazing tool!!

Good au low CPU usage. Multiple instances AU AUM Audiobus Cubase 2 thumbs up good time nice dirty bass hecka wow

Honest review. Poison-202 is by far one of the best synths in the App Store.Job well done!

Great Synth. I honestly thought I had enough synths. Then this thing came along. This thing really nails that classic 80s/90s dance sound. If you want a rave hoover, super saw, or Prodigy, or Daft Punk sound - this thing delivers. What's more is it comes with presets to mimic those sounds (even if you're into designing your own sounds, you can learn a lot from the presets). What's more, it has a great interface, has an enthusiastic and responsive developer and plays well with others.

Very Nice. I'm really happy with this synth! It's easy to get good sounds wit it and when I read it was sort of based on the Roland Gaia I was sold! I can't find a manual but other than that I'm happy!

Fantastic synth!. Great sounding synthesizer, very flexible with a classic sound. Love the layout too. Very easy to program. Thanks!

Best price performance. Thank you Jim!I think your app is the best sounding stand alone synth on the App Store for the money. You take 2nd place after Moog($$)I do agree with some of the reviewers that a record function would be awesome for some applications.Other than that it is solid and does what it needs to do well with great sound quality.Hope you do well selling the desktop version as well.Your groove box is fantastic as well.Keep up the good work and keep the bugs out and the improvements coming. All the best!

User Manual please. Cool app. Please provide user manual

good. lol

Outstanding!. Great synth with lots of accurate patches of famous sounds. Audio Unit supported as well. Would love the see a three oscillator version with more modulation in the future. Love the app as it works well with GarageBand Cubasis and Modstep!

Vicious and character rich with everything were it should be!. As advertised this is yet another amazing SYNTH look how well lade out the interface is ...how harsh or creamy it can sound! Great sounding and worth the money for sure!peace Christo✌🏻️😃
