Microsoft Solitaire Collection Game Reviews

So I LOVED this game then ADS ruined it. So this game WAS amazing. With minimum ads either at the bottom of the screen or a short AD... Now the ads are more frequent and one lasted a minute. This last time was the last straw. I was trying to do one of the daily challenges and when I clicked it an Ad popped up. When the X came up I clicked and got a warning saying I won’t receive my award if I end it early I continued and it went back to the daily challenge menu. So I clicked the challenge again and it played another ad, this time I let it complete and when it ended I clicked the X and it came up with the error. So I chose the option to let it keep going. It just stayed on the “download now” screen not changing so finally I quit the ad and it went back to the challenge menu ad. I am sick of games over doing ads. I get they need ads for money but overdoing it is another thing. Sacrificing user experience for money, loses you both users and eventually money.

yes. i'm addicted to this game. I love their new daily rewards it gives you a card and you play three games of whatever game and then you get a bonus game. Every time he comes up and he says like oh so you seem to have some like download stuff do you want to download that and then you have to push no don't download that what why would you want me to do that and love you Siri it's me all so if you're reading this please please please please please please why is someone else user name my name like my name like my first and last name and I'm like I just want to put in my first and last name I won't let me because it's so annoying I think I'm going to target. I think I'm also going off topic.

Review of Microsoft Solitaire. Microsoft Solitaire is very addictive but also very fun. I have been playing it for about eight years. I try to find ways to solve the puzzles quicker so I can consistently be in the top 25. I believe some people must have two accounts so they can practice each puzzle on a trash account and score big on the second account. I like to improve my times but I wish there was a way to see how I compare with the group for each of the five games and even by difficulty level. Overall the games are great and I enjoy the challenges almost every day. I know you have to make some money along the way but the long commercials are boring to watch after the 20th or 30th time! Thanks for making the games so fun though.

Very well developed.. I have played a lot of different solitaire games and I think Microsoft has run the bell as it were on this game. The graphics are nice, but more importantly the gameplay is good. Oh, I suppose you can find a problem with any game, but as far as gameplay and the variety of solitaire games, I haven’t seen anything to beat this. I have one GIGANTIC complaint, though. To eliminate the ads you have to subscribe to a weekly fee. It’s not even so much that the fee is outrageous, although I think it is, it’s this model. I’ve started to see other software do the same thing. Rather than just pay a one time fee, you end up getting locked in. It’s like the difference between buying a house and renting a house, with this game, you never have, anything. The day you choose to not pay, you are in exactly the same place as the day you chose to start paying. Absent this awful pay model, this game would receive five stars.

inappropriate ads. I feel I need to post this comment and warn others who might be playing with young people or could be triggered. I very much enjoy this app and was a new player. I've seen in other comments from developers that they have no control over the ads or content. An ad showed a graphic design game with a beautiful, innocent young woman dressed somewhat like a princess. the burly arm of a male appears wearing armor and defensive adornments. he was given choices about interacting with the princess--take a bath/have dinner, etc. of course he chose "take a bath." the next directive was " take off her underwear" and she recoiled and looked scared when the arm reached out and started to remove her veil. at that point the ad went to title and i dont remember the name. I was horrified at this insinuation of rape.I had to close the game. when i play now, every time an ad appears i fear it is that one. very stressful for me when i play this game for enjoyment.

Addictive fun, but could be better.. I love this app and play it every day, but it has some issues that are a huge drawback for me. The daily Events are ranked by play time, but there’s no option to pause. So if I’m in the middle of a game and have to answer the phone or something, the timer just keeps going, even if you leave the app. The only way to stop the timer is to back out and quit the game and start over later. Not only do you lose any progress toward solving it, but the failure also counts against you. This issue is huge for me, I’ve frequently had something come up where I forgot to quit the game and ended up with a play time of several hours, completely tanking my place on the Leaderboard. With a pause feature or an automatic timer pause when leaving the app, this would absolutely be a five star game. There’s also been an issue with lag recently that’s super annoying, I’m hoping there will be an update to fix that soon. Lastly, and this is minor but still worth mentioning, you earn coins by playing the Daily Challenges, but I can’t figure out what you can spend them on, or what purpose they serve. One of the selling points of the premium subscription is earning more coins, but if they serve no purpose, what’s the point? Anyway, it’s a great game, and I recommend it, but the timer issue is huge.

Update on the Update. Thank you thank you thank you for removing the page where we had to select what level we wanted after every single game! But now you’ve added another annoying thing: the three dots that pop up the menu are in the bottom right corner which is where the back arrow used to be. Anyone who plays solitaire on a regular basis knows that they are always using the back key as part of their strategy to win games. Now I’m constantly hitting the three dots where are the back arrow used to be, and I’m constantly getting the menu popping up. Is there anyway you could move the 3 dots to the left corner or up top on the screen, and leave the back arrow in the bottom right corner? It’s just so annoying. The frustrating thing out of all of these changes you’ve made is that you don’t do things that are very intuitive or logical. Think it through as if you were a daily user, please!!

Solitaire time out. Love playing solitaire only problem I have is with the timed games. I can’t tell you how many times that the service can’t connect after I finish a game. It’ll take an extra minute or two and this extra time becomes part of your total time. Example you finish a game in say 2 minutes and it takes 2 minutes to finally connect so your total time is 4 minutes so this is totally not fair. Apparently Microsoft’s developers haven’t figured out how to eliminated this extra time due to there servers being overwhelmed by users. Sometimes after waiting for more than 5 minutes I quit out of the game and become frustrated so then give up playing for a while and go about my day. I then return later in the day and when I finish the game I had quit out of discover that even though I haven’t been using the app my total time ends up being the 2 or 3 hours I was doing other things. I even had it be over 8 hours for a game. I’m using an IPad an obvious competitor to the Microsoft surface tablet, funny bet those connect all the time. Otherwise I give them a 5 star review. I’m imagining that their developers will never read this but oh well.

For the love of god do something about the buttons.. I’d give this game a five but it most comfortable to hold the phone in landscape mode when playing. However in order to hold the phone securely you have to do so in a way that causes you to touch the buttons and interrupt your game countless times when you inevitability bum the wrong one. One of the developers should hold the phone in landscape mode and play for 10-20 minutes and see how often they hit the wrong button. I have small hands and I do it with an annoying frequency. I can’t imagine what it would be like for someone with big ones. Also move the hide the buttons slider up and away from the iPhone slide (bottom of screen) they’re far to close and you often can’t pull up the game buttons because it’s not registering that that’s what you’re trying to do.

Aggravated. I have been playing this game for several years and have build up my wins. I play it every single day sometimes twice a day three times once in a while and now all of a sudden I can’t get on. I’m having all kinds of problems. I’ve got it on my iPad and I’ve got it on my iPhone right now my iPhone isn’t working the game that I have on my iPad which is not the same name I use on my iPhone. I’m really getting frustrated. I really miss playing this game. Any ideas? Any advice? Please help. I did get it working (so far) on my iPad but lost all my data and badges I had. The same on my phone. My name is green gem on my iPad and I have no clue how I got that name. On my iPhone I had Naynay2all and cannot get it at all. Green gem comes up on my home and I play one game and then it quits working. Please help. Any chance I can get all my gaming info and badges back too. Thank you. Will wait for a reply.

This is getting annoying. Once again I am forced to shut down the app after finishing a challenge and potentially having to replay it if the data is lost. Plus the timer will add the time spent waiting for the app to reload plus the time spent replaying the challenge so that it will look like I spent half an hour trying to finish the challenge instead of having done it in under three minutes. I get that you probably have thousands of people logging in at the same time and it’s a drag on the system but this is getting ridiculous. Please fix this issue, as the app is great otherwise. (Still wondering about being able to pause challenges and request hints during a game.)

Amazing Game, But Newest Update for Bonus Game. I think this is an amazing app platform to play solitaire on, as I have been playing on it for years now. Though, with the newest update that allows you to play a bonus game after achieving a certain level, I have been running into the issue of the game crashing and the app closing as soon as I've completed the bonus game. Then as soon as I open the app again, it says I have to resume the game and puts me back a few turns. After the first two times it happened, I thought it was maybe just an issue with my device and tried to restart it, but then it continued to crash, even after switching to another mobile device and even my desktop computer. This needs to be fixed. I've been a loyal player on this app for nearly six years now and I've never been so disappointed with the app before until this newest update. Please fix the bug that crashes the game and app so more players can enjoy it to its fullest extent. Thank you for your time and thank you for an amazing solitaire platform!

Excellent Game, Could Use a Few Tweaks. I play this game almost every day. I love it, I love the daily challenges, and I love Spider most of all. Some things I would change: 1) When an impasse is reached in Spider, there’s no way to restart the game. In fact, there’s no way to restart any game in regular play. You can only start a new deck. What’s even weirder is that the warning sign says “quitting or restarting this game will count in your statistics” when you do it, so I feel like I’m missing a key option. 2) I have no option of playing a solvable deck if I choose Pyramid in regular mode. It’s always random, and that’s an option I’d like to change if I feel like it, just like all the other Solitaire games. 3) This is picky, but I liked the previous version of the “select game” window when beginning a new deck in regular play. The list is more straightforward, but somehow less classy-looking to me.

Not Really a Fan Anymore. So I have been playing this game for many years, ever since I got my first laptop which was over a decade ago. I was very happy to play this game on the go, whether I had connection or not. Then as the game modernized, it started requiring Internet play as well as showing ads. I kept playing the game because I love the fact that all the card games were in one app, and keeps up with what levels I’m on in the different games. However the app seems a bit outdated at this point. With other games, when they show ads(for those of us who don’t want to pay for ad free play), it normally runs for about five to ten seconds before having a “fast forward” button to let us skip the rest of the ad. After 3-5 more seconds and we can ex it out and play the game we want. With Microsoft Solitaire, you have to stay for the whole 45 seconds to a minute along with waiting for the X to pop up too proceed to the game. And the ads are always about the same thing now. “Royal Match,” the game with no ads. Having to watch these between every game I play gets very annoying, especially since I have to sit through this terrible actors demonstrating the game or either the game itself trying to force me to swipe the screen. I always get fed up and go play some other game. I have dedicated so much time and energy to this game though and would hate to have to start over somewhere else, but it looks like that’s what I’ll have to do.

Great timed events. I really like the daily events, you can replay the same game till you get it (and in the other sections as well) whereas most solitaire games if you give up, you simply move on to the next game. Liking competition, the events give you incentive to go as fast as you can, BUT the biggest downside is there is no pause. Sometimes when you thought you finished a game, put your phone down and come back, your time may be 5 hours… I also wish there were more events so you can pick a long or short one sometimes on a Sunday I sit to play and there are 5 easy ones finished in 10 minutes then on Monday when I have a hectic there’s 30 games in the event. Maybe put a long and short per day? Finally why are there gaps between starting and stopping different times each day?? Make each open for 24 hours, or 23 and one hour pause… Game is great but these things are irritating!

Review. I like the game but it does not cater for working population. The events should be at the regular 10 or 5 games. The 27 or 30 game event should either be weekends or like the daily challenge you should be able to go back during the month and finish the incomplete. Picture this up in the morning ready for work, may get a few daily challenges at the breakfast table. Get home, dinner, the kids homework, clean up, hit the sack, may get go after the events, because I know the daily challenges that I do not get done that day I can catch on later. Go after the events and 10 is the max before I fall asleep. If it is a 27 or 30 by next morning it is closed. There is no retrieving later like the daily challenge.

Need a bug fix bad!. I’ve been playing this collection for years & all of a sudden an ad will play & you can’t X out of it. It blocks the game play. It only started doing this in the last week to ten days. Please fix this issue, I play solitaire before bed to relax, now I can’t. This really is the best solitaire game out there. HELP! I’m still having an issue with the game being blocked by not being able to x out of an ad! It’s extremely annoying! Come on! Get this fixed! I hate to think that after years of play I’ll have to ditch this game! At the very least acknowledge that you’re working on this problem or let me know that it’s not something you can fix . I have looked into this problem myself since y’all don’t seem to care! It’s Liftoff advertising! It doesn’t allow you to x out of the current ad by blocking the game your trying to play. This has happened to me with Microsoft Word as well so I’m assuming(and I know full well what that word means) that Microsoft is having issues with Liftoff. Settle what ever it is so your user can continue playing!!!

Favorite Solitaire App. I’ve tried multiple solitaire apps and this one is the best. I love the 5 different types of solitaire so that you have some variety. My favorite part of the app is the daily challenges they have (5 per day) and there are other challenges like the daily events. There’s a good range in difficulty so you can be challenged (expert/master) or just play for fun (easy). They’ve definitely figured out how to get people hooked on their app with all their challenges, badges and awards! My only problem with the app is that there is often a glitch in the daily events. You are timed on how long it takes you to complete all events and ranked based on your time. However sometimes the game times out and you have to do the puzzle over and sometimes it will count time you are not playing (for example, I did half the challenges, came back and it added the 5 1/2 hours break to my time). It’s not the biggest deal but if you’re being ranked based on your time it would be nice if the time was accurate. It would also be nice to be able to pause while you’re playing.

Like the game...timing for challenges is wrong and frustrating. UPDATE: I just started the Pyramid Adventure challenge and decided to check my time after each game in the challenge. I just completed the first challenge without stopping at easy level within 3 minutes at most...I checked the time and it said 55 min 42 seconds. This is most discouraging & disappointing...especially as a premium player paying the annual subscription fee! PREVIOUS: Usually when you are interrupted in the middle of a game, you close it and pick up where you left off. This is also true of me solitaire, except that when doing a challenge...the timer still keeps going. For example, It may show I played for 8 hrs, when I only had an hour or minutes of actual playtime, so it affects my score. They need to stop the time when you have to interrupt a game and continue it once you open the game again.

UTTERLY PATHETIC!!. All these years of having solitaire on regular PC and now these lazy morons can’t even get a simple reproduction of the same game to work properly on a phone. This update is even worse than the last one. Now, at least it can keep up to the speed of the player— but now when you’re playing and you get to the end of the deck, you can sit and tap the spot (where the deck was sourced from) to restart the deck from the beginning... over and over and over indefinitely and it will keep registering your tap on the position to the left, on the final card displayed. In other words, they literally programmed it wrong to where it registers a tap - not where your finger is - but on the adjacent card. IDIOTS!!!! On the last update, it did this sometimes. Now, it does it every single game. I wish all these lazy complacent morons at Microsoft would just pack it in and go home and let somebody else do the job the right way.

This is a card game, why does it drain the battery so badly?. So, I like this game a lot on the surface. Probably the best solitaire game out there in general look and play. The ads are super annoying and half of them look like scams, but that’s not even why I am giving the app a one-star rating (by themselves, they might cause me to knock it down to three stars). I know that Microsoft puts this app out to make money, but they could at least vet the ads to make sure they’re legitimate. I’m giving the app a one star-rating, though, because this app is a heat-causing, battery-draining monster. My phone gets very hot when I play it (and this isn’t new to the iOS 17 heat woes, it’s been happening all along), and it tears through my battery charge faster than pretty much any other app that I have. This isn’t some super-advanced, high-powered, amazing-looking action game, it’s a freaking card game. What on earth is it *doing*? And this from one of the largest companies in the world as well, who could surely afford to hire some competent developers. Come on Microsoft, get your act together.

MS Solitaire. This is indeed a faithful reproduction of the old Microsoft solitaire games that used to come free with Windows. But now it’s either $10 a year to subscribe or ads - long 30 to 60 second ads that have to be cleared 2 or 3 times before you get to the game. Also, only the most basic level can be played without Wi-Fi. If you’re planning on taking this on a trip to kill time, you’re going to need high speed internet access. The ad I dislike the most is the “update the application” ad that looks like an app update, but it’s really an attempt to get the user to install… something. It looks exactly like the things your antivirus tells you not to do. Update: right after I wrote this review, the game launched an ad that transitioned to the App Store installation page. Every time I checked “done” it relaunched the installation page and refused to let me go on to the solitaire game. It’s now uninstalled.

One of the best. This is one of my favorite games that I never miss playing. There’s so much variety and the game is very well done. I have been a premium subscriber for years and it’s well worth the money. The game has lots of features and the daily tournaments are great. The only issue I have with the game is that the tournaments don’t seem to allow you to pause your overall time, which is what prompted me to write this review. The other day I was in the middle of a tournament game when an important phone call came in. I switched my phone from the game to the call and the time kept running like I was actively playing. Yeah, a total first-world problem, but an issue nonetheless. Still it’s a favorite and part of my morning routine every day.

I love this game and the daily challenge, but.... Never fails, almost every other day (some times several days in a row), I finish a challenge in the daily event and I don’t know if it’s because of the ads constantly trying to load and/or refresh or if there’s a server issue, but the connection somehow gets lost. I sit and wait while the thing twirls but nothing happens even though I am on wifi and have full bars. So, I wait, then get annoyed, close out app and come back. Then I have to repeat level again. Okay, fine.. whatever. But to make matters worse, when I finally complete it the second time, I am given a grand total time of the first round plus the second and the timeframe it sat there twirling all because of your software issues... messes up my time on the daily event and it’s frustrating! I want to get a good time to hopefully be in the top 10 but it is a rarity since your app isn’t functioning properly. Please fix this! I am not sure if it’s the ads messing it up or what but if so, I shouldn’t have to pay for no ads to get your app to work as it should. Smh...

Why is this app always phoning home?. I play this game on a device that’s usually offline. I don’t have a Microsoft account because (a) I care about privacy and (b) I’m usually offline, anyway. Just about every other day, the game insists on redownloading themes, etc., or claims that there’s new stuff to download. If I take a pass, either my existing themes disappear until I get online again, or the game tries to download material anyway, and generates an error message when it can’t reach the Microsoft servers. Also, thedata doesn’t get backed up to my laptop when I back up the rest of my data - so when I replace my devices, my achievements all disappear. This has been going on for months, if not years. If these are bugs, then they need to be fixed already. If it’s just Microsoft trying to ping me, then please stop already! It makes an otherwise fun game very frustrating.

Excellent game, one weird issue. I like this app very much, and have been using it a few days now. There’s way too many frills and unnecessary features (tournaments, rewards, and so on) but I’ve just been ignoring all that stuff and enjoying the very well-made game. Now the ads… they are infrequent and not too annoying, but I’ve run into a problem. I like to listen to stuff in the background on my phone while I play solitaire but every time an ad pops up, whatever I’m listening to pauses. I mute the ad, which on other apps would cause the audio to continue where it left off, but in this case I actually have to exit the app and manually hit play on the audio. This is quickly becoming the most irritating thing on the game for me. I don’t know who reads these reviews (hi there, whoever you are!) but this would be a very much appreciated improvement. Thank you!

Used to be fun, now it’s just annoying. Ever since a recent update, the music and sound effects from a specific ad never go away unless I delete the game and reinstall. As soon as that particular ad shows up, it’s the same problem all over again. And every ad is always THAT ad. It’s that dumb match three to save the king game. Turning off the music and sound effects in game has no effect. Force quitting the app, or even restarting my iPad (brand new m1) doesn’t fix it. If this is an attempt to make me buy premium, it’s not going to happen. I already give Microsoft plenty of money for Xbox game pass. And I’m definitely not going to be downloading that match three king game since they can’t even make a simple ad that doesn’t break the game your already playing. It’s been two months and it hasn’t been fixed. They have a support link, tho there is no way to report an issue, so I have to resort to writing a bad review that they probably won’t even read.

Tournament Timekeeping. I wish there was a way to track the play time correctly. Sometimes during a tournament, I have to stop playing. When I return and replay the game, it counts the time that I was out of the app against my total time. For example, I played a game for 2 minutes, but I get a phone call and EXIT the game and the app completely, I come back 2 hours later and replay the game finish in 2 minutes and 40 seconds. My total time should be 4:40, but it shows as 2:04:40. Today, I was playing during my lunch break. I went back to work and went home and took a nap. I finished the last game of the tournament in around 4 minutes. My total time should have been around 35 minutes. However, it showed more than 7 hours!!! It should only show the time actually playing, not time when we are not in the game at all. One more thing, it would be nice if there was a “pause “ button, so if you are interrupted, you can pause the game.

Great game. I play Klondike solitaire frequently, over 2,200 times. I play it different the most people. I like to use easy settings and just try to beat my time. My best time is 1:06. 3 things I’d really like to see in a future version: 1) I really wish the bar at the bottom at least had an option to always stay visible. A lot of times I’m reaching for a button on the bottom and accidentally close it. That can be annoying when I’m trying to play as fast as I can. 2) it would be a really interesting feature if you could re-play a deck at then end of the game... or even save a deck so it can be played again at a later date (possibly multiple times). 3) it would be fun to be able to see more stats, average game time, etc. ideally it would be awesome to see a graph with game time on the y axis and date played on the x axis (plots points would be red or green for win or loss). Then I could see how I’m doing over time.

5* for the game itself/2* for the online experience. The games are fine, the graphics are good, the art is decent, there’s a good breadth of art. The problem is that I like to play competitions and too often I’ll be in the middle of playing and the game will dump me out or freeze. Case in point the anniversary games. I got not quite a third of the way through the whole thing, finished a klondike game and the screen froze as I was waiting for my score to be counted and the next game to show up. This has happened too damned many times, and it’s super frustrating, especially when I’m doing well and bam! I’m locked out. My choices are wait and wait to see if somehow the glitch fixes itself (almost never happens), close the game, reopen it and then have to replay the game I just finished, or just give up. Lately I’ve been choosing just give up on it completely. What’s the point? By the time I get back in and replay my last game it doesn’t matter how well I’ve been doing, the time lost gives me an insurmountable handicap. It’s especially painful when it’s a very long match with a lot of points like the anniversary game play was. I am beginning to think there’s no reason for me to keep my premium membership on the site when I get shafted by it so often. It’s too bad because this is the game I play the most. I really enjoy it—when it works.

Games will not load. This has been my favorite game for many years. I look forward to the Daily Challenges and Events. As of yesterday April 29, 2022 the games will no longer load. When I click to open a game to play it appears to try to play an ad but gets stuck on a black screen with the white swirling dots. I have 2 different iPads. The same thing happens on both. I can play on my Samsung phone without issue. The phone is much smaller and not as enjoyable as the larger iPads. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but I get the same black screen. I do not see anyway to report this to support for assistance. I have searched for resolution online and found many complaints of this occurring on iPad. None of the suggested fixes have worked. Please help get this fixed ASAP.

Game memory. I love this application with the exception that when finishing a challenge, if you are disconnected from internet, the only way you can get back to the game is by closing the application and starting the challenge once again. You will be in a loop hole if playing the same game you finished but the sad story is that the challenge is timed and the clock does not stop till you finally get your score and can move on to the next challenge. Even after you close the application, the clock continues. Developers should develop a memory bank where the application can acknowledge it disconnected, save your progress and stop the clock. This is critical because every challenge is timed! It is weird that you never find out when it disconnects till you finish the challenge and are waiting for the score to appear so you can move on. Other than this, this application is the best I have ever played. Wish someone could look into making a patch to fix this. I don’t know if it just happens to me because I am using an iPad or it happens to any one on any other platform.

Latest version ruined game. I rarely review apps and up until the latest version released near the end of September 2018 I would have rated this 5 stars. But the latest version introduced ads in the middle of gameplay. I thought to myself “I play this game a lot, I’d be willing to pay $5 to get rid of ads.” I clicked the “premium” button in game and saw it was $10. Ouch - that’s a lot to pay for a solitaire game - but I do play it a lot so maybe it is worth it? But then I saw it was $10 ANNUALLY!!!!!! You want me to pay and keep paying EVERY YEAR for a game of solitaire? With all due respect: what are you smoking? Actually do not tell me what you are smoking because getting me to smoke the same stuff is the only way you will ever get me to pay for a subscription for a game of solitaire. You took a great thing and ruined it with greed. I hope for the sake of the players that your greed ruins this game and you fade into an occasional memory. I’m sure there are other solitaire games out there - time to start looking for one that is not greedy. Even if they charge a one-time fee I’ll gladly pay it over your greedy subscription.

SUGGESTION - NEEDS UNDO ALL OPTION. *** My suggestion — I would like to see an undo/restart feature on FreeCell, Klondike, and Spider. The TriPeaks and Pyramid games already have a similar “undo all” feature that is really helpful. I would like to see a similar restart/undo all therwise I find myself having to click undo dozens of times when I get stuck during a game. Also maybe an option where it shows/teaches you how you could have solved the game so you can learn. And an option for hints during the events/daily challenges.*** Love this app! Great that there are 5 games in one, and the daily challenges and daily event games are really fun and encourage me to play all 5. Could be improved with an “undo all” feature on all games.

Ads are a deal killer. Too bad. I love the games, which should be a sure bet for this app getting 5 stars. But the ads ruin it. I was almost fine with the ads before. I understand it’s part of the deal for a free version. But constantly (or so it seemed) rerunning the same LONG ad for a crappie game you’d never buy & can’t skip after a few seconds brought me close to the edge. Then they started giving you the option to skip ads you weren’t interested in and that pulled me back. But now, with their latest ads, they’ve pushed me over the edge. Now ads play UNMUTED as a default. How obnoxious to have an ad start blaring out for everyone around you to hear. Couple that with making the mute button on the screen hard to see/find and you get the point that they have no respect for users. ADVERTISERS! Please note you are making more people PO’d than you could possibly be winning over. You should boycott this, too. Microsoft, you can really do better.

😳. Well I guess you didn’t like my review because while I was writing it it disappeared sounds very much like Microsoft. It’s pretty much why I went to Apple with everything but I chose to download some of your games because they seem to be helpful for my mind since my stroke. Although, I paid for the ads to be gone for one of the games you would think that you would just do that across-the-board for those two or three different games. I’ve got the solitaire and the word game but you would think that you would just do that across-the-board ——because that’s just crappy ——you want somebody to pay something to remove ads for each individual one—— it’s either gonna be 10 bucks for a year or two bucks a month FOR EACH GAME and that’s just seriously WRONG. Y’ALL just wanna make a buck every way you can but I’m definitely canceling the other one and I’ll just live with the ads or quit playing.

Great game but glitchy tournaments. I love the game since first playing it on my pc years ago. I also participate in the tournaments. However, my main gross with this game is that whenever an ad comes up “before” I start a tournament game, it counts towards the time I actually do spend while playing. Last night I put the phone down during an ad and got up watching tv. 3 hours later, I take the phone up to close the ad and start the game. Lo and behold, when I finished playing the “easy” game in less than 2 minutes, I see the total time for a little over 3 hours!!!!! And God forbid I should have some internet issues “after” I’ve completed a game because the clock is still ticking away until the connection returns!!!! This is extremely frustrating and a huge turn off to play the tournaments anymore until last night but now I’m back to sticking to the daily challenges only unless this “glitch” is fixed.

Greed has ruined this game.. I, like many others here, don’t ever write reviews, but this latest update from Microsoft is the epitome of corporate greed. It was a free game, so as much as I loathed the addition of ads I somewhat understood. I put up with it for a bit, but then they just got too annoying, and so I thought “I really do enjoy playing this game from time to time, so I’ll just buy the premium version for whatever they want”. Come to find out, I can’t BUY it. I can only rent it for an annual fee. For solitaire. It is a card game that has been around for as long as cards have been around, and they want me to pay every year?!?! They have lost their minds!!!!! It is a digital deck of cards. The greed represented with this move is abhorrent. I’m done.

Does it make you smarter to use AI to play?. Lately there are people earning in less than a third of the time it would take to win in good shape. And that’s what happens these weeks, when the AI has come in to make many things easier for you on your devices. But what purpose does the machine have to play for you? Does it make you smarter? It’s ridiculous. Those who play with AI don’t even exercise their brains. And it also makes the game unfair. It was enough with players with more than three accounts and different names, won games after they have lost 3 or 4 games with their other accounts, from those losses they learn how to solve the game. I don’t know what satisfaction it is to win like this. But the use of AI is absurd. They should regulate it.

Microsoft missed the boat with the opportunity for cross platform capability.. Whoopi! Microsoft allows me to log into my Xbox live account. Bit Whoop! Doesn’t mean a dang thing. There is ZERO cross over to remember games from my iPad to my iPhone using the SAME Xbox Live account AND my SAME iCloud account. Oh yeah, it asks to recover from Xbox cloud, it it recovers NOTHING. Just as bad, there is no cross platform capability for, IOS to my XBox and Windows 10. REALLY? If I am logged into my Live account, you should be able to store my game information!!! Worse still, I have the Premium Subscription on my Windows10/Xbox side, but Microsoft doesn’t allow that to carry over to IOS. And visa versa. I was trying to switch to something that would sync. I wanted to pay ONCE for a subscription. Since I can’t sync, I’ll just go back to the competitor’s product that doesn’t barrage me with ads. You screwed up Microsoft.

Classic Game with Flawed Mechanics. I love solitaire, and I’ve played this game on different platforms. I recently started playing it again and doing the events, but sometimes the connection to the server drops and I’m forced to cancel sending my completed challenge, and start over. The time that I’ve already logged on that challenge somehow gets saved but not my completion status? And to top it off even if you cancel sending the score, it counts all the time in between when you cancelled to when you try and complete it again. My latest challenge marked me down as taking 9 hours to complete when even the app hasn’t been open that long. I find the challenges to be some of the more interesting features this app has to offer so I’m disappointed that some of these flaws are here. Should be simple enough to locally store a variable that says the challenge was completed so that when there is server connectivity, the game can send the score.

Great gameplay, buggy infrastructure. This is the best gameplay, most attractive and satisfying graphics and interaction of any solitaire game out there by far. That’s why I keep playing it. I just wish the Microsoft underneath didn’t cause so much suckage. The game is obsessed with your internet connection, even though it really shouldn’t need it to play a card game!! It takes forever uploading and downloading... nothing, before you can play it, and after each game, and if your connection has changed, like from WiFi to cell, or to a different WiFi, it doesn’t cache the data and try on the new connection - no, it freaks out and won’t save your score and won’t let you continue playing. It also downloads some unnamed “new content’ constantly, then forgets it the next time you open the app, and downloads it again! And the themes- apparently what it’s supposed to have downloaded (you get to dismiss two messages every time it tries!!) are still screwed up every time you play, and when you fix them (which usually only lasts 1 session) it wants to download then yet again! Wow. So after writing all this down it’s clear I need to play a less visually slick solitaire game that isn’t so annoying. Again, the gameplay is the best, but the annoying bugs ruin it.

Generally great app, only issue is that quite a few star club games are glitchy. EDIT: I’m an idiot and these games are 4 suit. I wasn’t paying attention and the games didn’t label them as 4 suit so I didn’t realize. Disregard. A weird number of Spider Solitaire games in the star club packs are consistently glitchy in a very specific way I haven’t seen in any daily challenge, event, or regular games. The cards just don’t act right—random cards will not act like they belong to any suit, so while you have a red 3 on a red 4, for example, the game won’t let you move these cards together. But putting that same red 3 on a black 4 will also not let you move it. This glitch makes probably 20 games or so completely unplayable, which is unfortunate, because I like to complete challenges and packs and seeing these star club packs unfinished leaves me a bit unsatisfied. That being said, this is by and large the best solitaire app in the app store. Lots of ways to play, and lots of incentives to keep it interesting. It does seem that they changed some things about the daily challenges to make it easier to earn the monthly badges, which I’m not a huge fan of. Just seems weird to be able to get a diamond badge after completing less than half of the month. Doesn’t affect gameplay at all though, just a small thing.

Love the games, hate the timer. I’ve been using this app for years and I love the games and simplicity of the interface. The ads are expected, the required internet connection is bearable, and the subscription offer pop ups only happen every so often. My only complaint is that when you’re competing in an event and you don’t finish the challenge.. the timer keeps going! For example, yesterday I was waiting for a friend in my car, playing the Solitaire Celebrities event. I was halfway through a Spider game when I had to leave, so I hit the back arrow to exit the challenge, came back before bed to finish it and the timer literally said it took 12 ***HOURS*** for me to finish it. I went from 3rd place down to 19th. I probably shouldn’t care so much about this but it’s really annoying that there’s not a way to stop the timer even if you exit the challenge.

I love it. There is room for improvement.. This is everything you love about solitaire. The card action and sounds are great; the graphics look good; it’s a good solitaire experience. But— If I have just one stack of cards that’s unturned (everything is else is Kings or is turned) the app should just complete the rest for me—do I have to go through the motions of making every single card in the deck move into its correct place before “Solve” appears? I know I’m done! Just finish it for me! And when there are no remaining moves possible, the app should know that, and not make me ask for hint after hint just to verify that fact. I know that I can’t make any more moves—why would the app not just work that out and tell me right away? This point is definitely the one that needs the most attention, as it’s a pain to have to not just cycle through every card in the remaining deck, but also have to request a hint on each occasion to provoke the app to report that no further moves are possible. I appreciate the work that goes into app-making. Sorting out these two points would improve things considerably. Thanks for the work you’ve put into the app.

Sad excuse. Was fine till I got up into Bronze level 6 or 7 can’t remember because it has completely stopped loading! I’m NOT gonna start over from scratch just because their program stopped working. Checked the usual suspects, but everything else works just fine. It was fun and I’ve played thousands of games. Started from level 1 and months later it’s decided to stop loading. Either shows the start up page, or goes straight to a black screen and acts like it’s loading. After almost 10 min, it’s still trying to load. I’d dump it but I spent plenty of hours getting as far as I have. Really don’t want to reload it and have to start all over again. I have looked around ( before it started this) to see if I could contact Microsoft directly. Didn’t see a thing. So it’s up to them. Suffer with a bad review over something that’s wrong, or me just dump it and never play their games again! Not setting up a cloud account with them so they can mine my information for even more stuff than I already get. Over 2000+ games and it just quits. Hum!!!!

Microsoft once again swings…and misses. By an ENORMOUS margin with this predatory trash game.. Tried to sign in with my Microsoft account. Got the password wrong one time. Barred from logging in via this game to my Microsoft account for “too many incorrect password attempts.” Waited several days, same error. Logged into my Microsoft account on the computer….what do you know, no issues, and no repeat log in attempts detected. Right now, I’m at 2 hours and 48 minutes of hold time with Microsoft customer service trying to figure it out. I have to ask myself, is it really this important that I give Microsoft money and time? Probably not. Go figure, Microsoft, a company synonymous with “complicated” and “trash” and “ineffective” have made a game where you can’t even log in…with a Microsoft account. And these jokers think I’m going to upgrade to Windows 11. You guys can’t even make a mobile game (something children are doing in school now, developing apps that work better than this) and I’ve used Vista and Windows 8….this trash is par for the course from Microsuck.

Issues. #####Don't know who did this review under my Apple password but it's time to stop. My review: For weeks now I have been knocked off the server during game and, like today get error 101, which seems to be ongoing. When I went to Microsoft sight to see how to correct this issue, found the solution instructions were for Xbox. iPad not Xbox. I have played this game for years and would like to do so for many more. Get this fixed NOW!!!!!##### I have playedIn the last couple of weeks the game has started to stall and close in the middle of a game, dailies and daily tournament. The worst thing lately are the new full page ads for auto litter box, auto pet feeder and Facebook. I have to physically close the game as the close function and even the access site button do not work. I sometimes wait hours for the ad to disappear so I can't play. Additionally since the last update after only playing one or two games the system crashes. I literally have to restart the game. My connection is just fine so unless you are intentionally making my device obsolete with your upgrades, I suggest find a fix soon. I have been playing your game for a couple of years and is the best solitaire game, but the frustration is getting to me. Time to find a replacement app. I don't have issues with any of my other apps. Have never liked Microsoft and now I never will. Thanks for nothing.

Ads have gotten more obnoxious. I've been using this app nearly daily for the last 3 years. It works well and there are a lot of options for game types. But I'm finally uninstalling this app because the ads have gotten worse and worse. Before, there was an ad right when you start your first match, and then another ad every few games no matter which game type. Also the ads were maybe 5 - 15 seconds long. That's how it was the last several years and I never had a problem with it. Recently every time you start a new game type (a solitaire game, or a free cell game for example) the worst and longest ad I've ever been subjected to plays. It's always a royal match ad and I kid you not I timed the ad and it was a minute and a half long! It plays as soon as you open the app, and every time you switch to a new game type so I see it at least twice every time I play. It would be one thing if these were the only ads playing but in addition to these long ads are the usual average length ads. It's just... Solitaire. Microsoft's app isn't better than other solitaire apps enough to justifying staying. There are so many other solitaire apps to choose from

Frustrated. I’ve been playing regularly for almost two years with no issues. However, this latest update with 30+ seconds of ads you can’t skip have forced me to delete the app. I was just about to reach level 900 in the Spider Solitaire, and had to wipe all of that progress, because of this ad. This is unfortunate, as there are no comparable apps. I did consider paying for a subscription but I cannot justify spending that amount of money for one card game. If it was a one time purchase, I would be more inclined, but a whole subscription? Not a chance. I’ve been reduced to downloading the app, playing until I reach that ad, then deleting, and redoing the cycle. I sincerely hope you rectify the situation, by at least getting rid of the 30+ second unskippable ad. This is Microsoft, though, so I’m not holding my breath. I’d rather keep redownloading the app than pay for the subscription.

Enjoyable but maybe a bit buggy. I regularly play play the games in this collection but lately it will often just shut down without warning. Fortunately it remembers where I was up to when I get past several shut downs but the frustration is real!

App won’t download game data. I downloaded the App & was about to give it a whirl only to discover an error message informing me the game data couldn’t be downloaded. I was instructed to visit the troubleshooting website. Don’t know about you guys BUT if I’m expected to resolve issues for the App, it’s already in the deepest of doo doo 💩! Seriously, if I am expected to do a whole lot of mucking around just to get the App to function, the developers need to seriously rethink its design!!?? Needless to say the App has been trashed...

Stop freezing the game. Game will freeze and not let you progress unless you start a new game which impacts your stats. It’s frustrating as it appears to be set in the programming to lock you. I don’t understand what point the developers are doing with this feature. Remove it and let people play the game.

Cool game bro 😎. I love solitaire it is fun and I like having different kinds to choose from but my fave has to be the spider. It won’t save my card customisation choices. I absolutely love this game but lately I’ve been getting frustrated by the fact that it doesn’t save my card customisation choices and that it makes me reselect everytime I open/refresh the app, it’s really frustrating because I got used to my card back being what I selected and it’s a pain to have to constantly fix it

Frustrated. I have enjoyed playing this game for years. The adds seem to have become more excessive and repetitive but I endure them. The recent addition of the in game in app purchase bar across the bottom of the screen eliminates the ability to use the features of the game located at the bottom of the screen. You have finally lost me as a player.

Contact. Why is it so hard to contact support? I’m using iPad Pro. I have downloaded and paid for premium and have been playing it for a couple of weeks. Three days ago it wouldn’t sign in I’ve uninstalled it reinstalled it gone to Xbox live logged in ok changed password logged in again ok on Xbox live. Went back to app and again couldn’t sign into premium. What do I have to do? I’ve read the fault finding but they tell me nothing.

Internet connection!!. I pay for premium and expect that to be what I'm getting. Instead I'm getting constant internet connection issues and it takes 5+ minutes to log on, even more when you are having "connection issues"... (And no its not on my side as I'm using wifi on my iPad as I write this)

Great program!!. Very good and convenient way to play many different types of games all in the same spot. I love how it is available on laptop and mobile devices, and when I signed into my account on a different device, it had automatically saved all of my progress. The only thing is that it didn’t save the images on my cards, the background, and other personalisation. I also wish that clock solitaire and bagel solitaire were both one of the options to play, but the games available are very fun and great to take my mind off things. It is completely free and the only ads are small in-the-corner ads that do not stop you from playing and are easily ignored. I have recommended this to some of my friends, and they all love it as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love it!!. I think this may be the best app. They also resolve the issue I had in a timely manner. (Was actually impressed) You won’t be able to put your phone down after playing a little... it’s addictive!

Game stopped working. I’ve been playing for almost three years on my phone and had little to no complaints but for no reason one day it just stopped working for seemingly no reason whatsoever it lets me into the app and can change the settings log in and out but when I press on one of the tiles to actually play the games themselves it just sits on the loading screen I have tried everything and it is still not working I can’t even play when I am logged out or into a new/different account I’m very disappointed.

Random decks always unsolvable. The random decks in pyramid are unsolvable. The card at the top is always blocked by the card it needs to pair with. I think I’ve only ever solved two boards before. Makes it impossible to rank up unless you play the set difficulty boards.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection. I’ve been solving the problems in the above named collection for more than 3 years now. I’ve only come across one Tri Peaks from the daily challenges of September 2018 which if I could solve would give me a perfect score for 41 months. I’ve found taking a Premium subscription is worth every cent. Regards NSW358, Monday 1st March 2021.

iPad Microsoft Solitaire Better than iMac version. Just relIiieased, the iPad version absolutely TRUMPS the desktop version iiiiiiiiiWindows 10. The desktop version is clunky, needs restarting a lot, and there are problems upgrading to the Premium version. On the iPad everything is much faster and smoother. Furthermore, we are given a 1-month free trial of the Premium version, and it in turn it is so good, I will probably pay for a subscription.

Please make the dark theme standard. I love love this game I play it just about every night But I prefer the dark theme and every time there’s new content it resets to standard theme I was wondering if you could please make it so it stays on the downloaded theme chosen? 🙏🏼

Game not loading. Hi there, love your games and play them every day, I’m now trying again to renown load it as it gets to a point where once I’m selected which game I want to play the screen goes black and I just see a half circle turning over and over, it’s been like this for 2 days now so I uninstalled it and now I’m trying to see what will happen, this is the second time I’m doing this in the last 2 weeks, hope it’s sorted out soon, regards Vera .

Game modes. The different game modes and gameplay is absolutely brilliant in this. A few minor details doesn’t change a thing. Music would be great to see for the upcoming future but also the STAR CLUB! Great game to get Xbox points as well. It would be nice to see a few more celebrations for when you complete a deck but all from that the game is addictive!

No retry at end of solvable spider deck. When at the end of a solvable spider deck (grandmaster) and there are still moves possible like endless moves from a row to another row and back and there is no way to advance the game, why isn’t there a retry button coming up? This way you can never replay the deck. Retries only possible if indeed no moves are left, but often you end up with useless possibilities.

Too many adds. Adds used to be okay, 1 every 2-3 games. However, now they are after each game and they are the same repeated adds. They take forever to get through and can’t exit the app while it’s going. Why keep showing the same adds? If I were interested I would download the games you’re advertising the first time, not after 100 times. Better off finding another solitaire app.

Loading………. Have downloaded this app 3 times in a week or so. Great for a while and then gets stuck on loading… have to uninstall and reinstall. Which means all stats lost. And no, not internet problem. Am sticking with it because the best of a large solitaire group.

Great game but slow to load. I love this daily game.. it’s a great way to fill in time or to wind down at the end of the day. However.. Since ads started to appear between games, I’ve noticed it takes a ridiculous amount of time for the app to sync/load. It often freezes and forces me to close it down and start again. Perhaps the developers could make an option to turn off the big game events? Seems like there are far more issues when these are taking place (and I’ve given up participating because the app is so slow during timed events). I also suggest incorporating a way to upgrade your profile, etc with all the coins you accumulate. Nothing more deflating than to finish a perfect month with nothing really to show for it (just start over at the beginning of the next month).

Love the app but.... I really like this app and am quite addicted. One annoying thing is that the events often freeze and then you have to re-play the game. Also if you close the app and don’t replay the game straight away it counts the entire time you are away from the game, which affects your place on the leaderboard. If you could fix that it would be great.

Pretty good solitaire experience. It’s a bit of a battery hog and constantly loads from the ‘nets. The events are okay but the winners complete the games averaging less an minute a game (ie. cheat)! I got addicted to the daily game. Although the adverts are irrelevant and annoying I just mute them and let them play. The games themselves are pretty good and the tap AI is predictable and the play levels are usually very well thought out. I would and paid a one off payment for another solitaire game that after more than ten years I still get updates for but I refuse to pay more than a few dollars a year for a subscription.

Enjoyable game play but “mini” events too “mini”. As a long term player I’ve enjoyed the improvements over the years. Now the game play is usually bugfree and enjoyable. My only complaint is that there are too many “mini” games (c’mon 5 is too few and now with the 2 game minimini games there are only 3 of each suit, 6 in total) so the slightest stuff up gives you no chance of getting back into the contest. Please make the events a minimum of 10 games - some of us are less than perfect but still enjoy a contest, the shortest events don’t really provide that. MS did a survey some years ago to determine what format players preferred, maybe do another and weight it towards whingey old buggers like me? 😘

Game not loading. I’ve been playing for a few years now & this is the first time I’ve had any problems. When you select which game to play, the screen goes black & the circle just keeps going around. I’ve closed, reopened, closed, reopened, restarted iPad. I tried again, nope, not happening. I’ve seen a LOT of the same comments….can you please fix it.

Great game, but ads are a little broken. I really enjoy this game, especially the range and the daily missions, however the close button on some of the ads are hidden behind the actual ad and seem to never turn up (or I am impatient, but surely over a minute is too long?). This is not always the case, but is very annoying since I have to close and open the game again, and there is a high chance that it will be the same ad. Very happy with the game and appreciate that it’s free, but please fix the overlay of the ads, I would like to not have to close and reload the app multiple times. I will update to 5 stars after that is fixed.

Great app - suggestion. I love playing this app, mostly the daily challenges and events. I love to meet the set challenges but I feet slightly cheated because I don’t get to actually finish the actual game. I’d like the opportunity to finish even once the challenge is met to give players a sense of accomplishment . Maybe give an extra bonus in completing the game

So addictive but challenging!. Many games can cost you money but Microsoft Solitaire is free and you have the opportunity to play 5 different versions at your experience level. Plenty of challenges if you want to close a different level of difficulty. You could use it as mindfulness activity. But I warn you that without a limit of some sort you can easily become addicted!! Enjoy!!

Love the daily event competitions. The daily event competition is a part of my morning ritual with a cup of coffee. It sharpens my mind and enhances my reactive and responsive skills. It’s very exiting when I’m racing 99 others to the finish line. A few seconds can make all the difference. 🤗

"loading" after completing challenge. can barely get through the events now as when you finish a challenge sometimes it hangs in Loading screen, the only way to fix is to restart the app and then do the challenge again (which also adds the time of your first attempt) and then theres no point in finishing the rest of the challenges as its already taken too much time. i have screenshots of what im talking about. it happens almost every event now. it literally makes me want to throw my phone especially when i complete a challenge in good time.

Enjoyed playing until I was forced to watch ads. This was a good game, until recently I am forced to watch ads to play the daily challenge. The only way to stop the ads is to pay for a subscription service. I have been playing this game for years for free. I didn’t mind when you added ads that you could choose to close before the end of the ad and continue to play. If you added an option for a once off payment, I might have paid it, obviously depending on the price. I won’t pay $14/year or $3/month for this game, and that’s assuming that’s in AUD. If it’s USD, definitely not.

Frustrating. The latest stupid adverts are ruining the game. Today I suffered the Candy Crush advertisement which then locked up the screen. When you restarted the App you had to put up with the advertisement starting againand then locking the screen. When i finally got past the advertisement and completed the first puzzle the time showed 4 plus hours even though the puzzle had never got onto the screen. I won’t play this again!

Love this game!. I absolutely love this game, and it introduced me to the wonderful world of solitaire. Who knew it was so addictive! Something I wish though was a video tutorial on how to play the different modes, such as FreeCell (I find it very confusing). Unless there is already, then this game is perfect, and is still easy to play on a small screen!

Solitaire. I enjoy these games but am not interested in enticements to go on line and/ or to compete or get more involved. I would love a simple method of keeping my own scores and “round robin” scores so I could “ beat myself” when playing all games. All the above is true though it was not written by me. I though am extremely disappointed with recent changes to Spider . No longer will you let me move a column of consecutive cards. I will not play now it is changed but it used to be a great game here.

Solitaire great - shame about the ads!. I know the ads allow the app owner to provide the games free of charge to subscribers, and if I wasn’t a cheapskate I would pay extra to avoid them. However, I’m convinced that the ads have become more intrusive in both sound and flashing gaudy colour lately. I don’t actually watch them, t.b.h., just turn off the volume, put the tablet down and do something else ‘til the flickering stops. Anyway, the addition of the star games is good.

Microsoft Solitaire. I really enjoy playing Microsoft Solitaire. I would love to give a five star rating but sometimes I only have time to play five or six games and, because everything that has fifteen games or less is called ‘Mini’ I can’t tell if it’s five or six or ten or fifteen games. As soon as I click on ‘Event’ to see how many games are included, the timer starts. Could you, perhaps, call the five and six ‘Micro’, the ten ‘Minute’ and the fifteen ‘Mini’?

Needs Work. For a subscription model app this is let down by bugs and missing features. The auto tap play needs work, as does the sound setting. I play all the time with no sound as the music fanfare is way too loud and can't be turned down. It is obvious after half a years daily playing that no one from Microsoft is playing or monitoring the app as it is buggy with poor auto play and could be a lot better; with no updates in my half a year’s play. The games best feature is the gameplay, which is the best out there and keeps me coming back. There are many games and the challenges are spot on to their rating. But I wish the developer, Microsoft, would tidy up the app.

Pure Nostalgia and perfect game play. I have been looking for a good solitaire app since iOS 2 on my iPhone 3G. This game is absolutely perfect. I put up with the ads for a little while, but now have no problem paying $3 a month for what this retro-gamer has called “the best solitaire app on the App Store”. A personal highlight for me is the ‘Retro’ theme in which the cards and background emulate that 90s PC vibe. Definitely get amongst this app!

Great game but ads are too long.. I’ve been playing this game for years and enjoy it very much......but the ads are repetitive, they take a long time to play, and when the ‘x’ appears to leave the ad and you press it, it takes you to the store to purchase the advertised game etc. Way too expensive to ‘rent’ solitaire on a monthly basis, I would be quite happy to pay a one off price to purchase and be done away with the pathetic ads. I’m never going to pay for a monthly subscription.

help. Please someone help me, I am trapped. I can’t stop playing solitaire. My wife has left, my kids are sick and my dog hasn’t eaten in days. I can NOT stop, I am not ok, why did they make this game? Great game but missing features.. Seriously how long have you had the “Themes coming soon”. It’s a simple feature but it has never been delivered. It may sound petty but that the only reason I have other solitaire apps on my phone is so I can play with custom themes and cards. Be far this has is best card app but the lack of options is truly frustrating. Please do something!

No able to access daily challenges. Most disappointed since your update can't access daily challenges, it gets stuck on garden scapes,

Ads. I have been playing this for years. I sucked it up when the ads became unskippable and played every ~5 mins. I tolerate that the downtime between events is almost exactly the time I play this game and only ever moves by an hour, meaning I miss most of them. I even grit my teeth through the ads that go for 30s and you press X, then endure a forced pop up of the App Store, then play another 5-10s before a second X comes up, sometimes in a different corner than before. Not to mention that you have made the decision to ignore muted phone settings on some ads but not all?? But now…. we have a black screen with spinning loading circle that never goes away, and no way to get past it. Rendering the game entirely unplayable. I have never left an app review before but this is just insane. I’m not paying for a SUBSCRIPTION TO SOLITAIRE are you kidding me???

Don’t bother. Used to love this game. But now it’s is basically impossible to play. All you get is spinning dots that you can’t get past instead of adds meaning you can’t play. the only option is to close and reopen the game in the hopes that you can watch an add and play a game or 2 if you are fast before it’s back to the dots. I have done this for the last 20 mins and still can’t play a game. I Have also submitted several reports about this to their “support” page over the last few weeks. No response at all not even an email to say we received your big report. Makes me wonder if it’s not a deliberate ploy to try and force people to pay to remove the ads. Not worth the download I’d say try another solitaire game. Whatever you try at least you have a chance it will be good.

Crashes. Playing on an iPad. Love the challenges BUT SO SICK of it crashing in the middle of the games. So many times getting close to winning an expert game and it crashes sooooo annoying. Please fix it. Would give it a five if it worked ok. Now it keeps advertising to sign in and get rewards but it won't let me sign in. Although I love the card games ...so sick of the glitches.

Great daily fun. I do really enjoy this app, I play it everyday. However, I don’t really enjoy the easy and medium games as they are not a challenge, I especially dislike when the easy games are long, e.g. having to score 4000 on Pyramid, I only play to complete the monthly challenge. Given the choice, I’d only play hard and expert challenges.

No longer trusted.. Today the game would not let me continue without hitting an icon “tap to play”. I waited for it to time out, eventually restarted the iPhone and tried again - same thing. Not even the courtesy of telling me what I would play if I tapped. I will not tap under such circumstances; it is too much like signing a blank cheque. If it doesn’t come good I would rather delete the app and find a different way to pass away hours.

Support.... very hard to get help...... I have been playing this game for a while now and love it ! Good job guys ! So I went to subscribed to the premium solitaire and now for some reason it still have adds... it says I am already subscribed but why do I still have adds....?

Ads. Whenever you try to close the Temu Ad by hitting the X it takes you to the Temu site. Forcing players to a website they don’t want to go to should be illegal and I’m very disappointed in Microsoft for allowing this. I will no longer use any Microsoft apps.

What happened to offline play?. I don’t know if it was because a full year was purchased or if it was the ‘update’ but every time I am offline, the theme goes back to the basic theme. The colours are jarring and it’s annoying! When you try and go to themes offline, it says an internet connection is needed to download content! I have had this app for years and never had this problem playing offline. Won’t be renewing this app and I suggest you don’t purchase it if you want to use it offline.

Swipe up is annoying. If you want to switch apps you have to swipe up twice, right where their “install more apps links” are. So fkng shady

Lots of fun BUT. The game is a ton of fun. But to me there is only one major problem. Ads, though videos at different times between games. Cost to much and or major hassle to get rid of them. Would be great if a low one time fee to get rid of them.

Ads too long!. Good game, but the ads are incessant and looooooong! Especially the long Royal Match ads that even cover the player options half the time. I wouldn’t get Royal Match if it was the last game on earth. Grrrr!

Solitaire. Good game but too much advertising

The ads are killing me. I have enjoyed these games for years, now the ads take you to other sites, the x in the corner never works, so you have to reboot to try and get out of the ad. And sometimes, like this morning, you just can’t. If it doesn’t improve soon I’m quitting forever.

Ads. I really enjoy playing the games but the ads are getting worse! Even when you sit and wait for the X to appear to close the ad…when you tap the X, it still takes you to the website instead of closing the ad. It takes, on average, three attempts before you can actually close the ad. Too frustrating! I am deleting the app and will find something else to do with my time.

Keeps forgetting my custom theme. This hasn’t been an issue in the past, but is now. It’ll last a bit but if I’m not playing and it refreshes and goes to Home after I close it, the theme will reset back to default and my custom one won’t be available. I have to reupload my custom one everytime I play…

Microsoft Solitaire Collection. Good game. Well designed. Helps to relax.

Too many ads. Good assortment of challenges, but play is frustrating because the ads are too long and there are too many of them. I complained about the ads and now they're even worse, now they go to the download page making you wait even longer before you can play. More time spent watching ads than playing the game.

Problems with advertisements. The game is okay. The problem is that I regularly get ads completely in Chinese which I cannot read to be able to close the ad. The final straw was an ad (in English) that had a disabled close button. It appeared that the only way to close the ad was to install some app. I removed Solitaire from my phone .

Too many long ads, game crashes. I enjoyed this app, having five different versions of solitaire in one app and the daily challenges. Recently the ads have become much longer and more frequent, and worse - the game fails to start after the long ad finishes. What a waste of time. Fix it!

Beware. Using iPhone, almost every ad is Temu, which is sad. The worst part is that is almost impossible to close the ad to continue playing without involuntarily opening the Temu website. Temu is allied with the Chinese government and collects data for the Chinese Communists. Microsoft allowing this website to open without any deliberate action from the player is unforgivable and ridiculous to reap money this way for a games that has been around since that 80’s. Surely they aren’t that desperate for revenue. Shame on Microsoft.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection. I was so surprised when I saw there was a mobile version of the : “Microsoft Solitaire Collection”, because I was always so used to play these games on my laptop! I love it!

Does NOT disclose oppressive in-app purchases. This app looks attractive because it does not diclose its in-app purchases. HOWEVER, it has oppressive adverts lasting 30 seconds and requires a monthly subscription to remove them. It is a nice app and a modest payment to remove adverts would be reasonable but over $20 a year is out of line and, worse, is not disclosed in the app store.

UPDATE..Black screen issue fixed. Glad to have you back to a 5 star rating. Thanks for your response and fixing the problem. I have been playing this daily for years until last week. After the ad it went to black screen. Back on approx 12 hours later. After ad 2 days ago went black and game has not returned. No other app does this. What happened? Game back after few days. Great for a week. Back to the same problem again today. After an ad screen goes black.

Sound. The game is perfect, but the publicities are getting more and more frequent and even with the game sound options off, or the phone on mute, the publicity sound is on… disruptive on public

The advertisements ruin this app. Unfortunately the experience is ruined by the lousy ads and how long they are.

Gone again. The game has no problem loading the ads but stalls when trying to load the game - games Wii not load. This has been an ongoing problem with this app and needs to be fixed once and fore all!

Too many long ads. Not all decks in Expert and Master are solvable. I’ve played some decks for hours (yes…too much time on my hands) assuming all decks other then Random were solvable, only to never find a solution. Even using Hint for each move rendered an unsolvable deck. For sake of saving me time in the future, could a Dev comment on whether each deck dealt can be solved, and if so why can’t the games Hint function render a solution? Thanks.

Me. The adds are too long and they won’t close you have to close out of the game to get rid of them. And then there they are as soon as you reopen. Too much work to play a game. Otherwise it is really well done. Too bad about the adds.

Does it make you smarter to use AI to play?. Lately there are people earning in less than a third of the time it would take to win in good shape. And that’s what happens these weeks, when the AI has come in to make many things easier for you on your devices. But what purpose does the machine have to play for you? Does it make you smarter? It’s ridiculous. Those who play with AI don’t even exercise their brains. And it also makes the game unfair. It was enough with players with more than three accounts and different names, won games after they have lost 3 or 4 games with their other accounts, from those losses they learn how to solve the game. I don’t know what satisfaction it is to win like this. But the use of AI is absurd. They should regulate it.

Ads??. This game is fun there is lots to do but do I really need to see a 30-40 second ad just to play a challenge and then a few games in see another one?? It doesn’t give you the option to skip 5 secs in like most other games like this. I would be fine if I watched the ad and I could receive something for it to use on some of the harder levels to help out but instead you have to sit there and wait for it to finish when I just need to kill a little time of my day playing not watching ads. And for some reason they have a download everyday and then when I go into some of the challenges I have to download them everyday. It does save you progress so I’m not sure why you have to download them again and again.

“Put” the Soli’ in “Solitaire”. I have a history of having been made fun of a lot. But, I have no one to play much with, so I play Solitaire. Okay, does anyone else love this? I know people do, but as much as I do? No, that’s not actually possible, is it? No. That’d be stupid to think that. This game is solid all the way around. People love it, but not as much as me. I think that Solitaire is classic any way you put it. The joy of playing a classic card game on the iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone, Mac OS, or Microsoft Windows Operating System is more than you’d think. It’s amazing. No matter how you put it. No matter how much change you make. It’s always great. I love it. It sure does put the Soli’ in Solitaire.

Great Games Annoying Execution. I really enjoy playing multiple solitaire games and if could would give this 5stars. However there is bug when playing the tournament games. Lately after winning a game I get the chasing white balls from hell and a error message that the internet is not on. Mind you I can go the the daily challenges and play without an issue. It’s the same app! Why can’t the tournament portion of the app not recognize the internet connection? Of course this means that my winning game is lost (and must be replayed) and the game time longer than it should be (faster finish time higher ranking). I’m seriously considering tossing this app.

Keeps freezing, how is this a Microsoft product!?!. This used to be my favorite solitaire app, but in the past few months it has been freezing up one game at a time and the only fix seems to be deleting and reinstalling the app. Specifically, when I open the app and select a game, like Klondike, the empty game board appears as it looks when a hand has been completed but you can't select a new game nor do any of the control options function. You can go back to home and select a different game, like Spider, but eventually it freezes too. One by one they all do this until you can't play anything. When you delete the app completely it resets all of the games. In my opinion this is a huge bug and shameful that a big company like Microsoft can't provide a functioning app.

Microsoft on Apple Products. Overall the game is enjoyable as it is challenging. However, Microsoft does nothing about charging the player for the time the application take to sync up with Microsoft servers. Additionally, the timer constantly runs although not actively playing a stage within a timed match with other players. Ultimately, dumbfounded on how any player can actually win when the game is rigged like our recent Presidential Election! Planning to stop paying premium since Microsoft doesn’t seem to care about customers on Apple products, since after multiple complaints nothing is yet to be corrected after multiple updates.

Show “Time”. I do like this app much more than any other. I appreciate the updates, when we get them, I also feel the designers are interested in providing a great game to provide contentment for the users (players). I would so love it if, no matter how I play, tournaments, daily challenges, or just out there on my own, etc., I could ALWAYS see my time for each game. When I play, I frequently personally challenge myself. It would be so convenient if the time for each game showed up as it does in the tournaments. At this time, that is really the only concern I have with this app. I really love to play.

Great!! BUT…... I have been playing this game for years now and I am logged in through my Xbox gamer tag account as I have the Ultimate Game Pass Subscription that I pay monthly for. I never had ads or anything unless my signal wasn’t strong enough to connect to my Xbox account when trying to open the game initially. BUT that all changed this morning when all of a sudden I am getting ads and it’s asking me to either pay $1 a month or $10 a year and while the $10 a year isn’t bad I don’t think I should have to when I pay around $15 a month for Xbox ultimate and never had this issue in the last 3-4 years I have been playing this game.

Needs one fix. I really love the app and went premium as a treat, but the ads are not too annoying if you don’t want to pay. However, there is one bug I would LOVE to see fixed. Every now and then the app freezes, says “Loading,” just after finishing a game. When that happens you lose credit for the game BUT IT STILL COUNTS YOUR TIME. So you have to play that round again, but it counts your time double. Could you please have the game stop timing as soon as it says, “Completed?” I think the problem is space, and I need to close apps before playing - if so, could you program in a warning so I could make space before the app crashes? Thanks.

Loading during competition. Unfortunately sometimes the game server is unable to load your game that you just finished during a timed competition so you are given a choice to cancel or retry. Or sometimes it will just give you the cancel and spin as it tries to load your data. The outcome is that your time for the competition event is much more than the actual time you spent playing because it is adding all the time trying to access the server. It is extremely disappointing and frustrating to play the games and then discover your time is 7 hours more than it should be!!!

Love the game. Best solitaire game I’ve tried. Been playing for quite a few years. Love the challenges, and being able to see how I rated the next day. Also love the new bonus section where you can repeat n a few days of double bonuses. I only wish you would update the star challenges. I have finished a few of them, and have gotten as far as I can go on most of the other ones. Have been the same ones there for several years. Please add some new ones, or once you have finished one to let you delete it for a new one.

Was Fun…. I’ve been playing Microsoft Solitaire for about 5 or 6 years now. Once iOS 14.5 came out, it seems as if Solitaire hasn’t adapted to the change. I can not login to my account, I’ve read and tried the troubleshooting article, but it doesn’t work. Looking at other reviews, it’s not just me! The only response other people get are just something like: “Sorry to hear that! Here’s a link to an article you’ve already read!” It doesn’t help…please recommend something actually useful for me so that I can get back to playing the game. Update: Still having problems with signing in. Newest update should have done something but hasn’t. Kinda annoyed now. Please fix this!

Good gameplay, BUT..... I have had this app for years and play it for maybe 10 or 15 minutes almost every day just to take a break. It relaxes me and I like that. So why the three stars? Because of the misleading ads. I don't mind that the game HAS ads—it's a free app, after all, so that doesn't bother me. What DOES bother me is the absolutely INCESSANT, 100% misleading ads from apps like Homescapes or Gardenscapes, where the ads don't even show actual gameplay. The ads look like these are fun pull-the-pin type puzzle games, when in fact these apps are just stupid match 3 Bejewelled style knockoffs. Super annoying. C'mon, Microsoft. You own this Solitaire app. It's a good app. You have more money than God. You can afford to police the advertising you allow. Do it.

Best Solitaire App But Key Features Still Missing. This is probably the best solitaire app available yet in the App Store. I play almost every day and try to complete every event. I love that we get all five of the traditional solitaire games in one. It’s easy to lose time playing. The one thing that is disappointing is that we are missing key features even after the app has been around for a couple years now. Even though the Windows PC app has them, the mobile app is still missing the “star club” and themes features. I have been waiting for months, hoping we’d get a new update with this feature but it has yet to come. Hopefully we can get it before the end of the year but we’ll see. That’s the only issue I’ve faced with the app.

Solitaire Collection. I love playing the Solitaire Collection, it keeps my mind active, however I can’t understand if I start one of the Events & can’t complete it for whatever reason, I get interrupted or whatever & when I go back to finish the game, it shows I’ve been playing it for 3 hours or however long has lapsed between starting a game & ending. If I begin & play for 10 minutes & don’t finish immediately, I should be able to log back in like I used to & pick up from where I left off. For example, I was in the Dr.s office & started my game, but then they called me back, so I couldn’t finish it right then & when I did it said it took me 6hours & 45 minutes. 🙄So, for that reason I gave it 4 Stars.

My favorite game!! But.... I love this game! It’s my favorite version of solitaire out there (and I’ve tried MANY different apps). I play this game just about every single day, and I love the daily challenges. HOWEVER, you really must upgrade to a paid version to make it worth playing, otherwise the ads are just too much. I wish there was a set fee of like $5 because even though the monthly fee is only a couple dollars, it’s really a lot of money for what you are getting. Also, EVERY MONTH, on the day that my account renews, it reverts back to an unpaid account and I have to deal with ads again all day until the account renews. This has happened EVERY MONTH since I’ve had the app (about 6 months I think). This is a bug that NEEDS to be fixed.

Great App, Varied and Challenging. I love that there are multiple Solitaire games in one app and that each game has several difficulty levels. It’s really easy to play a simple or challenging game in one place. The daily and special challenges add another level of fun and competition. If I could ask for one improvement it would be....Give the option to clear the board when doing the challenges. Sometimes I get really into the game, am doing really well when suddenly I meet the score or play the card needed and the game closes. How about a message like “Challenge achieved. Finish board?” and let the player decide. Other than that this free app is great and keeps me playing sometimes for hours

Great Game, Almost. First off, this is absolutely the classic solitaire game you’re looking for. It brings back memories of computer class in high school where we wasted all our time playing solitaire and minesweeper. That said, the ads here, though not terribly intrusive, are still annoying. And to remove them, Microsoft has apparently had a stroke in deciding what to charge. Rather than a simple “remove ads” option for a few dollars (like most other apps), you need to pay a subscription. A subscription? Seriously? You want me to pay monthly or annually for a game that was free on every Windows computer two decades ago? Nope. So if you can put up with the ads, or don’t mind overpaying for a game to get rid of those ads, go for it. Great solitaire experience.

Ads Are a Problem. The game is good and I enjoy playing it. Also, I do understand that a free game will come with ads. But most of the ads are from the Scapes games and they run a full 30 seconds of absolutely nothing happening. They are a serious, annoying interruption. Shorter ads are acceptable, especially if they actually have some actual action and not just proof that the company doesn’t even bother to pay decent artists. I will NEVER download or play any Scapes game. Please pass it on, Microsoft. UPDATE 1/27: The stupid ads are running even LONGER. I’m giving up and going to a different game company. The quality isn’t as good but spending so much time with badly made ads that can’t be cut short is just too much. Screw greedy idiots at Microsoft. I can remember when this was one of the games that came free with your computer.

Fix internet connection required issue. There is an ongoing issue, several years, that needs to be addressed by Microsoft. For some unknown reason I cannot access the events section of solitaire. There is an error message that says an internet connection is required, this issue crops up periodically, usually for just a short period of time but is currently been going on for 2 days. I have this issue on my iPad, iPhone and Windows 10 PC. I obviously have an internet connection because I am leaving this review. I have cancelled my annual subscription due to this issue. Usually enjoy. I’ve always enjoyed the game and found it relaxing after a hard day. Even the adds didn’t bother me. But here lately trying to play a game takes 4-10 minutes just to pull up then you have to watch an add, then play 1 game and start all over again. It’s like they are trying to force you to buy a subscription. I already pay 100 a year for office I’m not about to pay to play a game. There’s too many free games out there to have to deal with this. Microsoft has done gone and act like they to good for the little man

Great for passing the time.. I love solitaire and I've been playing these card games since I was young. Being able to sign into my xbox account and earn achievements is a nice touch too. However I've been trying for multiple months now to complete the Marathon achievement (which is to complete at least one daily challenge a day, for a month) and I've been doing this for the entire month of January (2021) until the 16th. My game apparently experienced a bug that would crash after completing a daily challenge, and (unknown to me until today) it wasn't syncing to my xbox account. I decided to uninstall the app and reinstall it, which fixed the bug. Then I noticed that three days worth of daily challenges haven't been logged. Meaning now I must wait until February to attempt the achievement again. These little bugs occur far too often and mess with progress when you delete and reinstall the app the fix said bugs. Really frustrating when paired with this type of "waiting game" achievement. Playing for fun: great, highly recommend. Trying to 100% a game I've had for a few years: not as high of a recommendation.

Used to be the best. Annoying ads keep getting longer and longer. Sometimes I just want to play a quick game of solitaire. But I have to sit through 2 and sometimes 3 very annoying ads, like watching someone play a game of building blocks. In order for me to continue, I have to watch the whole game! Hey, I get it. I see how the game works after a few seconds, but NO! I must watch the whole game! Eventually the little X is shown to close the ad, but if you click it, you are taken to the app store to purchase the invasive building blocks game (has anyone read the privacy policy of these games?) When you go back to Solitaire, you have to watch another annoying game (ad) before playing Solitaire. By then, I am out of time to a actually play a “quick” game. I WILL BE SEARCHING FOR A NEW SOLITAIRE! One with shorter commercials.

Great game. This is my favorite app to play solitaire on. My one suggestion would be an option to complete the game after a challenge objective was met. For example: in the Klondike daily challenges, there could be a challenge to clear the 5 of clubs or to reach 350 points. Once you reach the objective, the game ends. I think an option to continue the game until it is solved would be nice. Maybe have a choice to either return to the main screen or to play to the end. I like playing the games all the way through and sometimes a goal can be reached so soon in the game but I want to keep playing it to the end. Other than that, it’s my favorite app for solitaire.

Great Game!. This is a great time killing game. Doing the daily challenges as well as the events is fun and competitive. It also is a great brain booster. Using different strategies and noticing patterns helps improve brain problem solving abilities. Only complaint is the aggressive advertising. I don’t mind an ad or two very few levels, but the ads are frequently the same two ads and they are relentless and unable to be skipped. If the ad generation could include a larger variety of games, it would make the ad waiting much less tedious. Overall, the ads don’t take away from the gameplay nearly as much as other mobile games. Would highly recommend!

Timer glitched. Need to fix timer in events. Timer doesn’t stop at game finish, constantly adds time while system is acknowledging that it has an issue. A problem that never occurs when I’m doing daily challenges or just playing. Why when the amount of time is crucial for ranking won’t the timer stop. Sometimes I even have to close the app and replay the level while the timer is still running, usually after watching an ad. Today I didn’t even start the level because I needed to get off game for a bit & when I finished next level at least 30 minutes was added to my time. Please fix this as it ruins my enjoyment of the events which is my favorite part of your app. TIMER SHOULD STOP WHEN THE CHALLENGE IS ACHIEVED!

A very “playable” game for cell phone.. I like the legible icons that are easy to touch, without hitting their neighbors. This is great for the speed competitions, against others players! (The “Sud_ko” games penalize you for touching a neighboring key, making them better suited to Tablet play.) Although interesting, I am not interested in the variety of card backs. I do like being able to return to an interrupted game and month-long challenges. After years of playing, I recently discovered the Four Game Challenge, where you pick three games (at any level) and are then presented with a random fourth game, for a “virtual trophy”. It gives you a “warm feeling that nobody notices”, but it’s good fun.

Good, Bad, and the Competition. Love the graphics and daily challenges. Not a fan of the BOTS who ruin regular players chances of winning or achieving high scores. I would love to see your game determine BOTS players and those of us who do our best to play hard and fast. We never have a chance against false players nor a sense of how well we did against “real people.” We just completed a two-day 30-game challenge and the first place winner did it in under 2 minutes, which is impossible. Most levels were hard or expert. This is unfair. I would personally love to see more of the side games added as I completed all months ago.

Best app. Enjoy playing the solitaire games. I turn the TV off at 10 pm and I play the games until ? Morning also. I am physically challenged and my iPad stays on my bed. I do play some other games but Microsoft solitaire is my favorite. For a long time I played for hours and never had ads. After an update that changed. But the ads are short and not that often. Just enough for me to close my eyes and rest them for a minute and at 74 yrs. old it helps. I like all the solitaire games. No favorite. Hope this app never changes for the worse. So many games disappoint and are deleted after a while. Microsoft Solitaire has been great for years.

The latest update is not good. I’ve been playing these solitaire games for quite awhile but with this latest update, promotions for other games are a hinderance to my playing pleasure. The promos pop up at the beginning of various games and also in the Daily Challenge and the other challenges. It’s irritating to me and I hope they’ll change it back. Two stars but that may change. It depends on Microsoft. Microsoft could have just asked for a one time upgrade fee but instead decided to charge a HIGH monthly fee to bypass those irritating game ads that pop up and make this game less enjoyable. I’m sure a lot of people including myself are going to be playing it less now. Dropping stars to one now.

Microsoft solitaire collection. The app was fine until last update. They added an annoying banner that runs across the bottom of the screen that pops up whenever you accidentally touch the screen telling you how to play the game. Totally unnecessary and highly aggravating. I have played this game since it first came out. It was a fun game but now they have changed how the ads appear. It used to be 5 to 15 second ads spaced a reasonable distance apart however, they have recently changed to 30 second ads that come up constantly. You have the option of removing ads for 0.99 cents a month. Ridiculous! Sorry to say, I will not recommend this game anymore and am seriously contemplating deleting the game. As usual a fun game gets ruined by annoying ads.

All apps in one. You get 5 different type of card games to play with levels to them. Get bored of one game just play a different type of game. I don't have to download different apps to play different types of games because this app has them all. You get 5 daily challenge for the day. All different levels as well to earn coins. The app does crash after an add, the screen goes black when the add ends. Just press the home button to exit the screen, Go back into the app again and you'll be back to the game you choice to play, ready to play without the add again.

Overall works well and is fun to play. It would get five stars except for two things: 1) when I get to the end of a game and it doesn’t appear like there are any moves left I will use the hint button. It will then show a meaningless move of one card to another place and then do the reverse back and forth. This indicates the athe game is over but I have to end it manually. 2) sometimes when I am at a tight point in a game and make a move knowing I will then be able to make another move (once that card is out of the way) the program comes up and says the game is over even though I know of at least one move left. Arrrrrrgggghhhh!!!!

Best solitaire app. The first time I played solitaire was the Microsoft Windows XP game. And now Microsoft has this app. I love the classic winning animation I wish you could turn off the new ones so I see the nostalgia inducing one only. Also the old fireworks from Spider Solitaire would be awesome the didn’t have a shine or glow they were just a blast of circles with a black outline and the color would fade to another color. I love the use of Xbox live gamerscore and I’m using this app to get mine higher. I really want to see star club. I hate that there are those achievements for it and you guys haven’t added it yet. I hope it will come eventually thanks for making the app

Issues with ads during events. When you select one of the games to play for an event, it acts like it’s going to load or give you and ad. Instead you just get the loading wheel going around and around. Meanwhile, the timer on the game starts, so if you’re in the lead, you slowly fall behind. Closing and restarting the app sometimes used to work but doesn’t any more. I even tried restarting my whole device and it doesn’t work. And there’s no easy way to report issues in the app, or ask for someone to give you your time on games back. You can be taken to an external site, but that requires multiple steps and isn’t easily streamlined. The game itself is great…but it has to work to be able to play!

My thoughts. I have been playing for a yr or so and decided to write my first review about the app. While there are some ads in the game I find that it doesn’t takes away from playing. I have tried many free game over the years and only found a hand full of games with ads that don’t take away form the game play this being number 2 for being the beast ad base game that I have tried. However as of the update on April 26, 2024 there is a App Store(IOS) ad bar that the bottom of the screen which blocks the toolbar with the reset undo options on it.

Great game for over a year until yesterday.. The Spider Solitaire is my go to. I love it!!! Until the black screen with the white dots showed up yesterday. I was on my way to level 2000. I can’t get the game to even open today. I’ve tried to sign in and out. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it over 50 times today. So, I thought I’ll just start over. Created a new account. It worked about 6 times and the black screen with the circulation dots is BACK? Since you can’t call Microsoft nor XBox what do I do? So maybe someone sees this and has an idea of what to do. I play on my IPad Air 2 which is fully undated. I’m just MAD now.

Microsoft Solitaire isn’t what it used to be.. After the tiny card face fiasco of a few weeks ago, now the theme button is useless. You can’t change the background, the card faces, the card backs or the effects on the background. I press the theme button and it just shuts down. I couldn’t change anything even if I wanted to. So, I am I stuck with the ugly green background and blue card backs? Only if I want to play on my phone, which is when I’m away from home. I used to have a nice background and card backs that I liked. I do have them on my laptop and computer. Please fix the theme button for the phone and star rating will go up. Otherwise I will be happy to keep the 1 star rating, I do like the game and have been playing it daily for years. So please fix this problem.

Almost perfect. I play daily and they offer enough choices and levels of difficulty plus challenges to make it worth paying the yearly premium to skip the ads. My only frustration is that the premium payment is PER DEVICE! Had I known that, I would have waited before paying. I started playing on my laptop but now find it easier and more convenient to play on my tablet. Unfortunately my premium payment was on my laptop. I suffer thru relentless ads while my premium payment goes to waste. Seems to me, as I can play on only one device at a time, the premium mode should sync across devices. Disgruntled user ...

Latest 4.18 version a bust😔. It appears the card size issue has Ben corrected, so I’m re-rating. Several additional comments: - Really need to allow gameplay without internet connection. - Some of the ads are excessive in length and/or deceptive. They disrupt the game flow and some make it look like it is an MSGames “update’. - Would really like more of the Klondike progressive challenges. I plateaued at Diamond Grandmaster and would like more levels. - I have a major issue with “Random” difficulty being the lowest XP @ 600, when it’s one (or should be) of the more difficult. Example, I switched to “Expert” level and my win rate went from 10% to 20%.. I have used this game for 5+ years with satisfaction (except for the intrusive ads). It has worked well on my IP 11+ as far as game ergnomics. The latest 4.18 version has changed that. Changes to the card size/ font now makes it very difficult to read the cards, taking my rating from a 4+ down to a 2- . Unfortunately, if this isn’t addressed, I am likely to abandon the game. 😔😔😔😔😔

Very Good, but Not Perfect. It’s solitaire! It has a lot of different ways to play, extremely satisfying animations and customization options, and leaderboards. It lacks detailed statistics. It has statistics, but I don’t think they’re enough. I want to see my statistics divided up based on BOTH difficulty and type of game. I’m not interested in my best time for solving an easy deck. But I can almost guarantee that is what the game is showing me, because it clumps all of the statistics together based on game without regard for which difficulty you chose. That means my win statistics may be skewed if I play too many easy or grandmaster decks, and my best time is only representative of my performance on an easy deck (probably). It should be divided up based on type of deck and game.

MNS Solitaire & Free Cell. I’m learning to play Free Cell & it’s a challenge to take the time to learn a new game. I’ve played Solitaire for years so I get to play on the Masters level. While playing Free Cell I’m playing at the medium level. I took my time playing at the Easy level for a long time so I understood how to best play it. Next I’m going to learn Spider. This suite of games is so much more fun than the other way I was playing Solitaire. The daily challenge is so awesome! I recommend these card games that MSN offers with as much enthusiasm as possible! You will find yourself becoming eager to get back to playing these card games all the time! It’s creative & challenging!!

Help MEEE 😔. I love this app!! It is realllyyyy goood and if it wasn’t for my current issue I’d rate it 5 stars but I can’t fix the problem! I had previously downloaded the app and created an Xbox account through my gmail a long time ago and have recently re-downloaded it. When I tried signing back into my account, I put in my email and misspelled it 🤦🏽‍♀️ There is an option that says, “Typo in your email? Fix it here” but every time I try to click on it, it turns darker and gets a underline but it doesn’t take me anywhere!! No matter how long I wait it stays on the same page. I’ve tried deleting the app and re-downloading it but it doesn’t help it stays the same!! I just want my old progress 😖 Can someone help mee?

Games won’t load. I’ve been playing solitaire on my phone on your app for the last few weeks since I had to stop using my surface Pro tablet, and suddenly tonight the app will not open a game. I click on a game and I get an ad for monopoly go and then I get nothing but little circle of cards going round and round and round saying “loading.” I have opened and closed the app. I have forced closed the app. I have turned off my phone and turned it back on again. I have completely deleted the app from my phone and reloaded it from the App Store. Nothing works. All I’m getting is an ad from monopoly go and a little circle of cards going round and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and it’s getting really irksome. Please fix.

Ads are evasive and take over. The game is enjoyable however the ads have become more and more evasive by taking over the audio of your phone even if you turn off the audio on the phone. If you turn off the sound within the ad and restart whatever you’re listening to, the ad we’ll take over the audio and shut off whatever else you were listening to. This has been an ever growing issue. I can’t find any tech support to raise an issue. I don’t want to pay for the ad-free subscription. I don’t mind WATCHING the ads I’d don’t want to LISTEN to them. I even have all the audio options within the game settings shut off and the ads override this setting. I now use the ads as an indicator to put the game away for a while.

Good game with app glitch. I really enjoy playing the games! As for the games I give them 5 stars. But the app is another story. recently I have experienced frustration. I use the app with the ‘commercial breaks’ (aka: advertisements)between games. I’m OK with that. What I’m not OK with is that one of those advertisements won’t allow me to exit when they are done playing the advertisement. I can’t even get logged into the advertised game to play it! Several times I have had to delete the solitaire app and reload it. Thus the two-star rating. It must be a glitch because I have played this app for over ten years with out this problem. OK, maybe they should have more than two stars but this review is based on this moment in time and not necessarily the game itself.

Oppressive Ads or Annual Fee? No thanks.. I loved this version of solitaire so much that I wanted to spend money to get rid of the ads. The only option is a subscription, though. Subscriptions are great for a group of products, but not for one single game. No problem, though; the ads were mostly short and only appeared every few games. Then it updated. Now the ads are long, repetitive, and are before every single game. It’s no longer fun. I hope they either fix the issues or give a purchase option, but since it’s a corporation (and especially because it’s Microsoft) instead of a small developer, I doubt they will. There are other, equally excellent solitaire programs out there. Spend your money with them.

Ehhh. This would be the best solitaire game I’ve ever played, but there’s definitely some things that puts me off that I wish they would fix. First off is that you can’t start a new game. Once you start a game, the only way to restart it is either to press the undo button dozens of times until you’re back to the beginning-which eats up time as well- or finish playing until it says you are out of moves- which counts as a loss. It puts me off that there’s no way to actually restart the game. Also, the hint button can sometimes loop back and fourth between two moves not actually helping when you’re stuck, even though it’s not unsolvable and there’s a move you could do. If it weren’t for these things I would stick with this app.

Annoying ads. The ads in the past were tolerable. Used to have to sit through about a minute of them every so many games, then click the X to exit the ad. Now after the ads are done it sits there, doesn’t give you the close X, but gives you a next arrow that takes you to the App Store to purchase the game being advertised (no choice.) After getting to the App Store you must click Done, then you get back to the ad where you can now close it. Very annoying. Also, when playing in silent mode (game sounds off and phone in silent mode) you still get the ad music. Although I’ve played this game for 22,000+ games, I can no longer recommend it.

Ads crash the app and add time to event play. I turn off sound effects and music and there is still some annoying drum beat playing whenever I open the app. Come on! Let us play solitaire in peace and QUIET! More frequent ads than what it used to be it seems, fast flashing color and sound... I have to look away so as not to get a headache. They used to at least run muted, not anymore... It’s no longer my go to relaxing game. I don’t mind some ads, but they are quite obnoxious. What’s more frustrating is that the ads tend to make the app crash on my old iPad mini... and when I’m playing an event, the timer starts when the app crashes (or when the ad starts?) and I haven’t even started the game. I come back later in the day after I’ve restarted the iPad and my 1 minute game shows a “total time” of several hours.
