Phone Cleaner for Media Files App Reviews

Works okay, but.... I like that this app is free. It did show me my duplicate photos and allow me to mark the ones I was to remove. If I have a few selected photos, then the “delete selected” button will remove the photos. But, I found that if I select more than 15 photos to delete, the “delete selected” button doesn’t work. The screen will just flash and stay on the same “remove photos” screen. This is a nuisance. It would take a long time to clean up my photos by removing a few photos at a time.

Hi. It’s extremely helpful to delete everything so you don’t have to scroll through everything in your camera roll. 10/10would recommend

Grouped. Photos similar are grouped so that you can select your favorites and delete the other.

Nurse Durkin. Fast and they don’t try to force you into a subscription. Who needs duplicates removed every week o even a month ?

It’s free and don’t charge money. I’d say this app is good cause it ain’t charging me money to cleanse unneeded data like other apps

Wasted 1-1/2 hrs....... I read the reviews but thought I’d try it anyway..... PROS: 1. It’s free as far as I could tell. 2. There are ads but they are very small line items, after a few minutes of using the app I barely noticed them. 3. There was no pressure to upgrade to a paid version. I’m not certain there is one as there was never an ad or other indication one was available. 4. It’s easy to use once you get the hang of it. I didn’t see a tutorial but as I said it’s simple. CONS: 1. I believe it somehow picks up and shows shows photos I thought I’d already deleted such as pre-edit copies. 2. I selected several hundred photos to delete and when I pressed the remove button it turned red as another reviewer said, with the same results: nothing happens. 3. When photos remained on the page I went to my photo albums and looked for the photos I’d marked for deletion, they were all still there. If there were instructions as to how to use the app maybe they would tell you how to delete photos but as it is I’ll just go to my photo albums and delete them there, it’s pretty much the same process.

This app is Amazing !!. This app is the only app I have left a review for. Truth is I have never been impressed with any app of any kind. I am, however, extremely impressed with Phone Cleaner for Media Files. It does exactly what it says it will do. A rarity for today. If you’re debating trying this app - stop debating and get it !!

Too easy!!. I finally found an app that does what I want it to do!

Slick & mostly accurate. I appreciated being able to compare each photo it selected as a duplicate. My only difficulty is it seemed to include all the individual frames of a gif. It seems like deleting any of them would make the gif not run or not run smoothly, so I ended up hiding all those that I thought were from gifs — and yet I didn't see a way to tell for sure from within the app.

Great app. This is a great app to help get rid of similar, duplicates and large videos. The best part it’s free! I haven’t had any issues so far. Thank you for making this great app free!

Simple but effective.. I've been looking for a simple way to clean out large screenshots, screen recordings, etc from iCloud Photos and I've finally found a workable solution with this app. While it starts off with reading your photos databse, on a modern Apple Silicon device that does not take a lot of time. Once that's done you can go over to Biggest and start cleaning files from there. I appreciate Nektony LLC for making this app! I hope they update it and add some features such as being able to sort items by largest & smallest with the file siizes listed and sort by most recent or oldest with time stamps.

So far so good. Deleted 20 of the largest photos and videos easy. For comparison the only possible problem is that if I have more than one of a photo I’ll want to keep the one most in focus and I haven’t yet found a way.

Clean up app. I just downloaded this app!! It sent all my photos in front of me and I chose the ones I deleted!! It was fast to delete the double pictures!!!! Way cool!!

Fast and clean biggest files. I’m shook. It’s actually good no random Ads and cleaned space in no time.

A True Cleanup App. I’m used to waiting until I have so many defected or just not capable photos or videos that it just takes me forever to get it done. With this app it literally took a minute and after 12 videos the phone was cleaned up 14.9 GB and that includes the removal of the video and data. Some AI needs to be embraced thoroughly.

Easy. Downloaded app in seconds Easy to use and it cleaned up my duplicates in a few clicks. So far I’m happy with the results. Would give 5 stars but I’ve only had the app for maybe 5 minutes.

Deleted photos. It was very easy and much quicker and organized to delete photos in this app. I would highly recommend this app.

Exactly what I needed!. The app quickly finds photos that look almost identical and you just select the ones you want to delete and voila! So easy.. and free!

Fix that slider!. Hi this is a AMAZING app but this dang slider/scroller is super buggy, like for instance, every time I try to scroll and tap through my photos it keeps resetting my place in the photos! Fix your slider and I will give the 5th star!

Too many double pics. For some reason I have so duplicate pictures and this app really helps clean that up.

The best ever. I got to decide what I wanted to keep and where I wanted to get rid of then if I made a mistake, it didn’t delete instantly. It just cycled through all of it and told me if I wanted to keep it or not or if I should or not, and I made the final decision, the phone didn’t make it for me.

Works Great! Love the UI. This app works just as advertised. Awesome UI with no ads, not to mention it doesn’t collect your data and works completely offline. The only issue I have with this app is the fact that it can’t filter out similar videos or similar screenshots. I took two completely identical screenshots and videos, only for the system to not detect them. Photos work fine, although I wish the scanning was a bit less strict. Despite needing a few more improvements on its features, it’s an amazing app and I definitely recommend it over its competitors.

Eh. It’s alright i guess. It does what it says it would but nothing special. You can just as easily do it in the photos app.

It doesn't work. Found 5.4 meg of duplicates, when I can see there are at least a few gb worth of video and photo duplicates .

Great for free. This kind of app is a good one for an ad supported version. I am not interested in paying a subscription for this kind of software but am glad the developer can support their work with ads in this case.

I’m not to sure?. Idk if it took all the photos bc I only deleted the doubles and it ended up deleting all of the doubles and it’s kinda like I have nothing left I’m not to sure if I’m too happy about that so um.. I dint really like that :(

Don't use it!. The app is totally useless is only accessing your pictures folder and deletes the selected pictures or video. A fake and useless application as is using the functions that iPhones already have. Waste of time

Simple Effective. I use this app religiously I have their clean phone reminder on and I usually get anywhere from 400MB to 2GB back. If you just like me aren’t phone savvy and just want to be able to push a button and have someone else go through your phone and get rid of the hidden junk this is the app.

Just delete your own photos. I don't really need an app that just shows me the photos I have on my phone. I can just go in the photo folder and delete them from there. Waste of time. Also lots of grammar errors.

Remove Selected Does not work. I select the photos/videos I want to delete. Click Remove Selected and nothing happens. Hold down on button, button turns red . Release and nothing happens. Must have to upgrade to Pro to actually delete photos.
