Not Good At All!. It’s impossible resize images without maintaining the original aspect ratio. Words and images were automatically enlarged after exporting the document in PDF. It got so frustrating that I stopped using this app. I want my refund!

SHOULD BE ZERO STARS. Now a SCAM? Why does this app tell me I have reached the document limit and now must pay to upgrade? And I cannot even access the docs that are on there? PLEASE RESTORE THE DOCUMENTS ON MY IPAD AND ALLOW ME TO MOVE THE ONES ON THE ICLOUD TO ANOTHER APP INSTEAD OF GIVING ME THE STUPID MESSAGE “OOPS you’ve reached the limit as a free user.” I AM NOT A FREE USER. Awesome App. I’ve always been a “techie” but not when it came my notes when I preach. This app allow me to export in pdf to flip through my notes like pages in a book. Now, I don’t use anything else. I’m happy.

Best app ever. I’m able to write anything and can get access to insert any image. That is cool, using this app is very amazing

So far so good.. Got this app to start writing my first novel, once I got used to the setup I’ve had no issues while using the app. Currently I use it on my iPad Pro and it works fluently.

After two paid upgrades, TP doesn't work. After paying twice to upgrade, Textilus Pro is disabled on my ipad. I wrote three times to the developer and received no response. Notice comes up saying I'm a Free User. It tries to collect a third fee. I am a twice-paid user and want a working App! On the second upgrade, instead of integrating my documents, a separate app appeared, with none of my documents. Now neither version works. The developers apparently don't know what they are doing. No spell check or grammar check feature. Why is there no spell check or grammar check on this app?

Epic formatting features! MLS, etc. Honestly...I haven't used the app yet. But I have to give huge accolades for any app that does the formatting this does for papers! Just to find an app with page numbering was difficult, even for MacOS - this has exactly what I want but never expected to find. Incredible!! I'm about to go to grad school, I need the formatting!!! Headers, page numbers, etc. Yay! I lived on my iPad since the iPad 1 but I graduated from college decades ago, long before iPhones, iPads, and internet usage. I wasn't sure what I'd use now. I'm thrilled! Any chance for a MacOS app? 😍 I've used their apps for many years and read latest reviews. So I'm okay with rating it at the top. I hope this one is maintained for a long time to come. I've had others that they haven't maintained. Thank you for not using the subscription model!! And for creating such an incredibly useful app. Kudos.

Great Ap. I love this program! I purchased it so I could meet the guidelines in a short story I was writing for a contest. It did most of the things I wanted it to do. I loved the link to have my story read to me. Hearing someone else's voice, helped me edit better. Will be using it again for my next story!

Love it. I've used textilus for a long time. I try other writing, editing apps but I come back to textilus because it has features other apps don't. Lots of fonts, you can change the line spacing, margined, create bulleted lists, easily edit 1 word or the whole document. Find & replace text, import photos. It lets me edit more aspects of a document than any other app I've found.

No Cursor after IOS 13!. Please fix this immediately! I can’t work blind. Don’t you even try your app after a new major update?

Used this app for 7 years. I have been using Textilus for so many years now. It has been great, it does all I need. I even paid for the new $5.99 charge. But I have been locked out of my ipad and bought a new one. When changing over. It lost all my data. I backed up to the “icloud” that textilus offers and it doesn’t work! It is only a localized backup. I.e. if the ipad that has the info us no longer functioning. It is gone! I almost lost all of my 14 years of writing twice now. If I wasn’t a compulsive saver I would have! They used to offer on itunes a way to directly take the documents off of Textilus but that is gone. Now you have to send 1 folder at a time as a zip via email. And it only saved as a .RTF which can not be transferred to any other app on the iPhone or iPad. The work I put into figuring out how to back up my writing was costly. Now I feel I have to pay the $5.99 a month with Office 365 just to know my work is saved and able to be accessed from any device. Sad really, I loved this app.

Textilus Pro. Great App for organizing files. I have used this App for a few years, and it has worked well for me! I use it for keeping notes on books I’ve read, recipes, personal, and much more. Textilus Pro is easy to use, and I like how you are able to copy and paste from books I have on Kindle! Another feature I use is customizing file covers, making it easy to access a particular file. I have an iPhone, which makes this App easy to maneuver in and out of my many documents.

After trying to reach out to anybody, i gave up and purchased it again a 3rd time. I do like this app obviously! I wonder if there is scam involved . Please help if you can .

Wow what can I say. This is the neatest program I have found in the apps. I have looked for a year, as I refuse to pay Microsoft monthly to use their program. Surprisingly enough this little program is packed full of power and outshines and outdoes Microsoft word by leaps and bounds. The features are outstanding and there are many, many outstanding features.I was nervous but the reviews were good so I took a chance and spent the six bucks and it was the best thing I did. I have beginning stages Parkinson’s and the fact I can use the microphone is absolutely super fantastic for me. I find very few mistakes that I need to correct. I copied over, exported and whatever, all my other documents from pages which I hate, and from docs in Google Docs, and then I deleted them off my iPad, and oh what a relief. Kudos for designing such a fantastic little program for iPad Sincerely, Pamela Myers

Could be better. I love writing with this app, but there is a glitch whenever you start a new paragraph. While you’re typing the first line of the paragraph, at the very end, there appears to be some sort of static on screen, and you are unable to see what you are typing. Fortunately, this goes away when you go to your next line, but it would be nice if it could not happen at all!

Was NEVER a good app, then GREED took over. Paid for it once years ago and now its telling me “I have resched my document limit as a free user” B.S.! I already paid for this app years ago, and I am not doing it, falling for it again… I am not paying for it again and after this review am DELETING IT FOREVER FROM MY IPHONE, and which in the first place was never was a good app to begin with, and which never truly saved anything properly or wher I felt confident in doing so. Bye bye, greedy scammers!, never was a pro level app to begin with (just look at the “toy-like interface”) Find your luck ELSEWHERE, people…

Textilus. I certainly love this app. In my honest opinion it needs more font choices, like Old English and Gothic, just to name a few.

continued good relationship. Have been using this app for about 6 years now. Have compared it to others, and they come up wanting. I like the handling of the files and documents. It’s easy for organizing/reorganizing when necessary. Plus, I have some files in the cloud, and some I retain on my iPad. I use this application multiple times daily. There is enough flexibility, plus enough power to perform all the functions I’ve needed over the years.

Love it to pieces. The perfect, understandable way to write the old-fashioned way. Bravo. Content over form. Just the way we octogenarians like I , uhh uh, uhh uh.

Love it, despite glitches. This is the best writing app out there for the iPad. Though far from the inclusive editing capacity of Windows Word, it is still as good as it gets for the iPad, with many great features. I give it a four star and half stars because it often becomes slow as you type, and you have to wait for it to catch up to catch up, and ditto with the editing. There are other quirks, like I can only use an older document to start a new document, even if I am up to date with IOS lasted version, and have the most recent version of Textilus. If I begin a new document, it remains blank when I try to write. Then there is the picture addition problem. After I’ve used a document for awhile, four times or so, I have to hunt back in my files for one I’ve used less, because the pictures stop printing out. Fortunately I have been using it for several years, and have lots of old documents to reuse. Their Tech support has never been able to solve these for me. I use it daily to write out my spiritual journal entries. Using the computer is constricting, noisy and not conducive to a quiet writing solitary space. I use also use it for writing out teachings to share, recipes, and other general information. It is invaluable to me, and I’ve found nothing else available out there has come close. Between textilus and the iPad, I am rarely on the computer anymore.

No Good, Should Be a Zero. ALL OF MY DOCUMENTS ARE GONE ALONG WITH THE APP! I searched to open Textilus and it had disappeared off my iPad and I KNOW I didn’t delete it. The App Store told me to “Get” Textilus Pro, but it was just a new install and NONE OF MY DOCUMENTS WERE THERE. I often go really long periods of time not opening Textilus until I need it. I had quite a few documents stored there, and ONLY there, and they are all gone. GONE, IRREPLACEABLE! I have used Textilus for YEARS and used to like it, but I will never, ever use it again, and I will be telling everyone I know to run from it and find a reliable app to use!

I used to love this app!. I found this when I received my first iPad2 and needed a word processor. It did what I needed. It needed expansion and and I offered suggestions, which they responded to with a thank you, and mostly they incorporated them. Each update added capability and made the experience better while I went through 4 more iPad versions to the 10.5 Pro I use now. The latest version of OSx from apple and update from Textilus has “Devolved” the app to an unusable state. There are so many problems now that I can not use it. I write short stories, a lot of short stories for contests and magazines. I’ve sent several emails describing the problems and have not received a single acknowledgement for them. A MAJOR problem that’s forcing me to look at other options is when I’m editing and click on the suggested word listed it shuts down Textilus, dumps me to OSx and I lose my work. As a user of several years I recommend NOT using Textilus until they fix the problems. Paul 🐸

Love This App!. It’s very easy to use. I like being able to create folders by topic, which makes it easy to find documents, and I love that it syncs with all of your devices! Great App!!!

Just went from 5 to 1. I’ve been using this app for a while. So far it does everything a word processing app should without a bunch of filler and junk to wade through. Every time I’ve found an app even marginally good for saving written materials, it either goes away or they change it and my stuff is lost. Please leave this one alone Apple! It works , it’s simple and there is no where else to save this stuff. Why downgrade to 1? I just found out it lost a book I was writing! I accidentally found some other files but can’t get back to them. It says 25 files but most are their junk, I can’t find except the one I just put on and now I’m glad I printed it cause my book is gone The improvements rated an increase in stars. I still don’t trust it, so I back up to a real computer if it’s important, or print. I can’t do that with a book, and Apple still makes if hard to use this as a real word processing program . If they did, it’d be great. The problem is Apple seems to think these are game machines and no one would use it for serious work. But if you are disabled, and weight matters, you need this thing to function as a computer. The other reason the stars are only 3 is because Apple has known for years the I pad and I pad pro have touch screen problems and have never seen fit to fix them . Instead of cute and often pain in the rear updates, why not actually fix the device ?

No Customer Service. No instructions on how to use the app. It contains customer service link but they do not respond to messages

Love it the best.. Some folks like minimalist writing apps. I like bells and whistles. So I love Textilus. Loads of great features. Great support Nd regular updates.

Textilus. I find Textilus much easier to us than Pages. When I copy and paste to Textilus it pastes beautifully. Guess I don’t understand Pages because when I paste there it shows up in blue lines and I have tried every way to get rid of the lines but can’t. Textilus gives me no problems whatsoever, and I am an Apple person.

Unable to do simple cut and paste from web pages. For me, the inability of a word processor to do cut and paste from a web page is a deal breaker. Now I just need to fathom out how to I get my money back. Should be simple but isn’t. Evidently the iPad is not ready for business applications. Just a toy.

This is the best app for iPad And iPhone Ever.. I love this app. It does every thing I need. Creative file maker. Documents can be made with amazing fonts. Storage is easy and dependable. I’ve written presentations, scripts, novels and t-shirt designs on this app with ease. And can start working on any Apple product I own and pick up on another with no problem. It’s amazing.

Who is the hidden dev behind this?. Knowtilus, Kairoos, Studio5apps? These three have their hands in these apps: Textilus, Scrivio, and NotesWriter Pro. These three apps have very little to differentiate them from each other. They all look the same. Where is a feature comparison chart? Where do you go to get support? I see reviews for all three that mention a decided lack of response when contacting "support."

Really great, until I purchased ⚠️⚠️. I had used the free version for sometime. Really great app found no other app that compares. So on March 25, 2020 I purchased the Pro version and now I open the app to a blank white screen, keyboard showing. I’m unable to exit the keyboard and have no ability to use it either. I uninstalled the app, shut down my device (iPad) started my device again after 10 minutes only to have the same problems. Should have kept the free version at least I was able to use it. Paid $4.99 plus tax for a product I can’t use. In order to post my review I had to rate the app, so one star was given only so my review would post and reach other consumers interested in purchasing. ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌

Generally excellent; a few weaknesses and bugs. I’m using the app in a fairly superficial way, as not much more than a text editor. Still, I find several shortcomings: - Occasionally, the app runs very slowly for no apparent reason; I have to close it and re-start it. - I use the Find shortcut (Command + F) a lot on iPad; this does not work in the app. - Highlighting large chunks of text sometimes results in the screen showing the highlight elsewhere than it actually is, which does not affect the accuracy of the highlighting, just its appearance. - Sometimes the line spacing between paragraphs compresses when I close and then open a file. - When I go to the beginning of a file using the keyboard shortcut the entire screen goes blank. (But if I press space it reappears.) - When I first try to name a folder, it always exits naming mode before I can name it. (But it works on the next try.) - In other apps, when I search a term or phrase, clicking the Return button takes me from one instance to the next. That doesn’t work in this app. I’m probably forgetting some other weaknesses and bugs. None of them are important enough to cause me to stop using the app, but I do hope the programmers can fix them. On the other hand, I’m grateful for the ability to create layers of folders; this is not available in Pages.

Textilus. I had the first textilus before the textilus pro came out. I had quite a few documents on the textilus. Is there any way I can restore this information?

Since iOS 13, Textilus is unstable!. It is possible to send an email to Textilus, but it is not possible to get a response. "Feedback? Email us!" does not mean "if you have a question or a massive problem, we will answer you." Is this a good app? Not since iOS 13! Twice, I tapped “select all” and attempted to change the pitch of a document, and twice it deleted the files. They were unrecoverable from iCloud! If the powers that be at Textilus would answer their mail, or put some acTual TEXTILUS HELP on their website, it would be an improvement, but I’m done waiting!

So far, so good.. I did a lot of research about which app to get and I chose this one. All I need now is the right case and the right keyboard. I’m writing this with the on-screen keyboard, but I can only imagine what’ll be like with a regular keyboard. Then (hopefully) I’ll be really happy!

One Issue. I do like this app. Its good for typing stories. The one thing I would want to do is make the pictures bigger. On my ipad, I'm not able to adjust the pictures, and I want to be able to see it.

Love this app!. I’ve tried many different text processing apps and this is the best one I’ve found. One feature is how well it handles copying and pasting the text from a web page into a new or existing document - it is simple, easy, and pastes the text without inserting line breaks or concatenating all of the text into one giant jumble that requires lots of editing. It also handles inserting and resizing jpg images. And it has many more features and functions than most other similar apps. Only thing that I think could be improved is the user interface navigation and menu structure - some of the apps features are a bit tricky to find until you become familiar using the app.

Upgrade to Textilus Pro. I don’t understand why I keep receiving a text whenever I’m using the app to upgrade to Txt Pro when I already did I have the latest version on my iPad. Please fix this annoying issue.

Great writing app. Does just what I need it to, which is sync with Dropbox. No complaints at all.

app crashed. I have been using textilus for around 2 years, i upgraded to this version and now have just a greyed out icon. Unable to open and access my documents.

Absolutely NO support. I’ve been using the paid app for a couple of years without too much drama. Now, with the last couple of updates, I cannot import pictures, photos etc in-line when I copy a document into the app. I’ve tried multiple times to get some assistance using all the advertised contacts but still no answer, no support and no response. This feedback is a last resort. As it stands, I’m in the process of deleting the paid app and will be happy to pay for an app that has an interested developer on the other end.

Major problem has started showing up.. Editing an existing text document a (.) all of a sudden started showing up at the beginning of each last line in a paragraph. When I touch the return key to move to next paragraph it places the cursor in the last line of the same paragraph right after the (.) which was never typed into the document. Very weird. Could it be a virus in my tablet? Using an iPad Air II. Never had this happen using Textilus before.

Numerous continuing problems. I actually loved this in the free version. It's only after paying for it that I have numerous problems. Currently it is as if the program is corrupted or reached data capacity. Im afraid to delete and reinstall Incase I lose all my files which I am legally required to keep ( in my profession). After loading and starting a doc, the response to typing is s----l-----o-------w. Everything freezes up for about 20 seconds. This happens multiple times. This makes the application for which I bought this app (clinical note taking) impossible and results in inaccuracies which just are not acceptable in an app that was not inexpensive. As with the other problems I've had, customer service will respond to my first contact and then leaves me high and dry with no further response.

Avoid at all costs. They promise all kinds of things in the product description. I had no trouble at all with the free version, which I quite like, so I purchased the 'pro' version, based on the product description. Once I paid and downloaded it, I discovered that you can't even annotate pdf documents at all, which you can in the free version! I sent 2 messages through the 'feedback' option, and they replied to neither one of them. They seem to have the 'well, I've got your money, so why should I do anything about the fact that the app doesn't work,' philosophy.

Textilus. I really like Textilus as the upgraded version of $6.99 as it seems to do everything I need it to do for now. Thank you Textilus.

Excellent Word Processor. This is my “GOTO” for producing a professional document. Notes taken elsewhere can be copied in and finalized! Good job!

J'avais textilus français qui fonctionnait même si j'avais beaucoup de difficultés à trouver comment utiliser les fonctionnalités par manque de table des matières ou de mode d'emploi. Mais la version pro s'interrompt sans arrêt: dès que j'écris pendant dix minutes, les lettres ralentissent puis ne s'inscrivent plus et l'app saute carrément. Même si je sauvegarde aussitôt, tout saute. Je suis écoeurée, j'abandonne Textilus!

Tous mes fichiers effacés !. Je donnerais 5 étoiles, je ne sais pas ce qui se passe, j’ai perdu tous mes fichiers textes qui étaient dans mon iPad !

What the hell?. I’ve been using this app and everything was fine till this change came in. I did put in my own characters but every time I open the app the row with the letters and the delete button is all messed up. Sometimes I manage to remove the madness by mistake, but not today. I feel like deleting it. Could someone please enlighten me as to what the point is with driving me mad!

great use it with scrivener. I like this app, I use it with scrivener, it permits me to write sections of my story on my iPad air and send to dropbox and then to scrivener. I am not the most computer savvy individual but I find it easy to work with. I would recommend it to others.

Misleading. Last pic in the write up shows ePub but the program doesn't want to open ePub.want the money back.

This is rather buggy, but okay if... You don't mind constantly fixing the font, or the specific document formatting that you've set 10 times already. Even if you save a formatting style to open for new documents it doesn't stick, and you're stuck with using Helvetica font even after you've changed it to Times New Roman. The formatting features are just very buggy, so avoid if that's what you need. I just got fed up trying to write a novel and having it format all wrong. Hope they fix it, I like the notebook folder function!

Good handy program. For writing on an iPad this is an excellent program. I'd like auto save, and the ability to enter a title without switching screens, or to set a default font, but those are minor kvetches. I went through everything from Pages (a pain) to iWrite (good, but too few options) before settling on Textilus.

Go To App. This is my go to app for most notes and especially for recipes. I keep all my best recipes there.

Handy for some things. This is a good place to organize and access PDFs on my iPad. But when I went to the trouble of taking photos/scanning in an entire chapter, it shut down and lost it while trying to save.

Not for Scrivener Users. I read all the assorted literature and how users should update to the Pro ~ so I did, but this app does not allow its users to open Scrivener documents-in-progress on the iPad, so it is effectively useless. Hoping it wouldn’t be a complete waste, I opened a PDF form to see what it could do. It opened the document but did not allow for any parts of the form to be filled in. In order to create a working iPad Pro, I had to download two different apps: Storyist and Adobe Fill & Sign. Very misleading about what it can actually do.

Easy 2 Use-Serious Bug. The program is fairly fast to learn and easy to use. It has adequate functions and features for an iPhone or an iPad. The limitation appears to be a recently developed bug which will not allow me to paste text. A word processor that cannot paste information has very limited use. I hope the bug is corrected soon.

Extremely disappointing. I was a faithful user of Textilus 5 which had PDF annotation and full formatting for notes... I was forced to upgrade to Pro and now have lost PDF annotation functionality! Shouldn't the paid, Pro version be better? I can't understand it. I'm hoping this issue is resolved soon. Otherwise I recommend finding a different app.

love it!. I love this app! I'd like to put a request in, to put it in the play store, you know, google play store as well. Otherwise we can only use it if we have apple devices, and since apple cost more, not every one can do apple. Keep up the good work!

Lost documents. I app has been very frustrating. I bought it several years ago, then bought the newer version because I thought the "Pro" release could help. No. I can write things with it but it simply gets rid of my documents. There are a few that have survived being sent to Dropbox but they will only open in Dropbox, not in Textilus. Very disappointing - I had hoped to have a word processor in iOS, but this isn't going to be it. There has been no support - emails written to knowtilus have been completely ignored.

Was good...now terrible....wipes data. For years it was great over past few months (new update.) I started losing all data in a document ...it’s blank and says “null”. Lost a lot of documents...will not use again...if you use it have backups in other apps...

Finally an app I can use to work on scrivener files!. I can work on my thesis on my phone, which is awesome considering Scrivener doesn't have an iOS app released yet. Some of the pictures I put in scrivener files make it impossible to scroll down on documents once it's imported though. I also wish there could be a way to import a whole scrivener project without having to import single text files one by one within that project. But so far it's a great app, nice sync features I'm counting on using pretty often.

Terrible.. The updates are horrible and the customer service is even worse. The app is totally useless from what it used to be and how I used it and no one will return any emails or tweets at all. I want my money back. I paid for this app twice and still can't use it. The forced update to restore purchases was murderous to functionality.

Owner. I upgraded my pro version and now there is no colors in the app, font colors, highlight colors and page colors are all gone. Do not know what to do at this time. I just tried to open the app and it rendered for 15 minutes and never opened. These guys have truly screwed up a descent app and it has nothing to do with iOS 9 as I was using 9 for some time until the app updated. Terrible product.

Opens .rtf files. The only program I have on the iPad that reliably opens .rtf files created by Nisus Writer Pro on my Mac, easily accessing Dropbox, iCloud, and Google Drive. Plus, it's a full-featured text editor. Indispensable for me.

Great for Writers. Works great with Dropbox to work on all your Scrivener projects. It's increased my workflow at least two fold now that I can actually go somewhere else and work now.

More improvements needed. Some improvements! But the non-pro version is what I will be using. But not for long - found a better substitute. Now the Save / Save As feature works correctly, and also the Undo / Redo. Dropbox connection works always on the 2nd import doc try. My Word documents with tables don't display correctly at all. Grabbed this iPhone / Pro version while it was on sale - decent value today, but no way is it worth the normal $10 price. : still can't recommend : The Pro app for iPhone needs to be compatible with the normal method of formatting text with select and then choose B/I/U. This app also needs a smaller, vertical list of documents and not the inefficient, big notebook cover list.

Won't download update. This app was working great, but when it tried to download the latest update it became stuck in limbo. The app isn't working, and the update isn't downloading.

They do not help you. Ive emailed them several times for an answer and they don't answer. I had Textilus and upgraded to the pro version. I didnt get a chance to transfer my files to the pro version and now the app has disappeared along with the files. I wish i never updated to the pro. Ive lost all my documents and the new ones in pro are not being saved to the cloud. No help menu.

No longer works!!. I'm so mad at the developers. The update took away everything like highlighting and notes. I paid extra and it reverted the app to just a PDF reader. I am complaining to my credit card company for fraud

Textilus Pro. Before upgrading from your last version of regular Textilus, you had an outstanding document creator!!! BUT, this latest version/upgrade to Pro forces even the least sophisticated user wonder how the heck you feel or believe your user base could continue to use your app when you have continuously REFUSED to provide a User's Manual (within both the app itself AND offer us a professional manual in .pdf format)!!!!! Please save you status immediately and notify your registered users when you have completed your responsibility!!!!! Thank you.

Buyer Beware. Textilus comes in a very confusing (at least to me) array of versions. I tried the Basic (Free) version 5.x which has many of the more useful functions disabled (export to Evernote, Dropbox, Google and iCloud). I decided the app had promise, but was unsure which version best served my needs. So, I consulted with the Textilus Team. Through email they advised that the pro version would best suit my needs since it offered all the features in Textilus Basic plus the export functions were enabled. Wow. What a mistake. While the Pro version 6.3 has the export functions enabled, i cannot figure out how to access files sent to any of the drives from within the app. Also, the Textilus folks removed the PDF markup functions. Their explanation is that they decided to drop the PDF markup features when they transitioned from version 5 to version 6. What??? The app works well, but the confusing array of features, the confusion about which features are included with which version, and the deletion of PDF markup capability have left me unable to recommend much other than BUYER BEWARE.

Word-like formatting, excellent search, fine Dropbox sync. I have only had this for a short time, but i am very impressed. Most text editors for iOS are based on markdown, with limited formatting ability. MS word for iOS is very limited, can't read its own rtf, can't search text, etc. Pages cannot read from Dropbox. This editor has excellent formatting, saves as rtf which can be read on my mac with word our other stuff, syncs with Dropbox (pro version, the free version makes you copy back to Dropbox from local and from Dropbox to local), has a superb search and search/replace capability. Just what i was looking for. And it is cheaper than most markdown editors.

Am I missing something . . .. Had the old Texilus free . . . After the recent iOS update I got a message telling me I should upgrade to Textilu Pro. The old version was not responding other than to tell me I should upgrade to the Pro version. So I did . . . Then I can't access my files . . . the Pro app said I could have my files e-mailed . . . so I requested an e-mail and was informed that the file was too big !! I deleted both versions of the app . . . Fortunately all the lost files had been saved as e-mails to myself. GFY!!

GREAT app!. I use this gem all the time to save to PDF and then use the option to save in Kindle's app. I started out with the free version and have not been sorry I paid for Pro. It has never crashed or lost anything I was working on. The templates are cool even though I mostly use the document option. It would be great if I could change the color of the folder so I could separate them. Thanks for a great app that has so many options it is a bargain!

Burned by Textilus. I just had to buy this Pro app to get back *some* of the functionality textilus took away from me when they replaced my previous PURCHASED copy with the useless Textilus Free. But even after this second purchase, I've lost some functions. Crucially, the PDF markup tools are entirely gone. Why? Was it really more important to have typewriter clicks and the like? Wrote to company twice & got no response, despite their claims of "great customer support." Months later: no reply...

Tempted to Give 5 stars but.... Why did I have to buy Pro and the regular Textilus? Pro works sweet and I can't see why I'd use the other. I read everything I could find but it looked like I HAD to buy the $10 combo. It works great, I've transferred files from my iPad to my PC into Scrivener using both Google Drive and wifi. Transferring is not 1-2-3 but certainly seems easy to an above average tech geezer like me. It's way better than Pages or the other Arrogant Apple approaches and is as good or better as a word processor than Scrivener. Wireless keyboard and an iPad are very productive writing tools now.

Piece of ... crashes EVERY time 'scan a document' selected. This is a piece of ... don't waste your money. The app crashes on its most important and useful feature: scanning a document!! Its a glorified note take at this point.

Needs Work. Textilus Pro is a good word processor for iPad, however, it feels like a beta version. It doesn't want to open older Textilus docs, and has crashed more than once. Joshua is right -- it really, really needs Save As and Don't Save. One more gripe: I wrote to them asking about opening older docs and never received an answer. Customer service seems poor.

Formatting Fails Are An Issue. I just bought and downloaded your Pro App, intending to use it to format a text that I want to upload as a Kindle book. After trying to specify various heading styles, I gave up and removed all styles, since they wouldn't consistently maintain the settings I'd specified. Then I tried to keep a global Arial font, but every time I cut and pasted a copied segment of text, it reverted to plain 6 point Helvetica! Maddening! I'm using the latest iPad Air 2 and latest iOS to date, 9.1. Your App has many good features and I was happy to pay only $6 for it. I also know that it's hard to keep current with Apple's ongoing changes! Please try to address and correct the mercurial formatting behavior. Thanks!

Textilus Pro Rocks The House. I own all the major writing apps for IOS -- including the "Biggies" from Giant Software and Hardware Companies. If you are looking for a; powerful, robust, bug free, word processor and AREN'T locked in to some companies bloated ecosystem, than of all the text apps on IOS -- give Textilus Pro a chance... I think you'll never regret it.

APA. How does one get to the APA template ?

Still on the fence. I have used the free version of this app for a couple of years without issues, but upgraded so I could have more storage and also use some of the other capabilities not available in the free app. Sadly, I've had issues, even after installing the latest two upgrades. Parts of my docs "disappear" on screen and I have to use the typewriter mode and editing to find them. I think it's a cut & paste issue, as I use that feature a lot, but it's very frustrating. Aside from that, it's a decent word processing app. Hoping they can fix my particular issue soon.

Just keeps getting better!. I think I've tried every writing/note taker-keeper app out there and this is the best one in all areas. It's constantly being improved and the support is fantastic.

A complete waste of money!. I can't believe that I wasted $9.99 on this app! The rare time that I didn't check the reviews first, I buy a ten dollar clunker! Poorly designed. Actually, terribly designed. Instead of focussing on writing I spend all my time navigating in the app to do just about anything. Go here to do this, go there to change that, etc. Terrible design layout! For all of the supposed features, I can find very few of them! On top of it, all the documentation there is are several FAQs and the promise of a manual. I am beside myself for blowing ten (TEN!) dollars on Textilus Pro...it's anything but what a Pro would want.

Fix bug!. This app would be perfect but there's one small glitch: when I hit the enter key to space out my paragraphs, it'll look fine... But after I save my progress and then return to the document all I see is around 14 PAGES of emptiness between one paragraph and the other. It's so annoying plz fix

Richard Luczak. Fantastic program! I'm 77, handicap. I've used several programs in the past. This program is easy to use, surpasses my expectations!

Improvements needed. The previous version of Textilus, prior to Pro, is still better for writing. The interface was easier to use and more intuitive, but I suppose it is just a matter of getting used to the new controls. This biggest problem with using this for writing, its intended purpose, is that the screen is cluttered and crowded with formatting bars, the iPad clock, and you still can't write on a full, blank screen. It allows you to view a blank screen, but not to type on one. Without that simple functionality I just don't see how this ap is any more useful or better than a host of others.

Textilus Pro. Still haven't heard from you. I HATE THIS APP I have not heard from you on these issues. I have used the free version of Textilus for a couple of years and am very pleased. I wanted to be able to see my documents on my phone so I bought Textilus Pro. It is full of bugs. 1. I often can't move my cursor where I want within the document. 2. The program will randomly capitalize a word. 3. I can't go back to rename a document. 4. It is ridiculous difficult to move documents from the free version to the paid one. 5. When I try to send a document in rthd format, the app sends the document to Documents app. If I'd wanted to do do that, I would have used that app to start with. I am not happy with the paid version. Please fix these issues. Thank you.

Everything I've ever wanted. Seamless and syncs with all in incoming mail. Love the ability to create colorful and interesting folders.

Works great with Scrivener or by itself. This is turning out to be an excellent word processor for the iPhone and iPad. Pros: Full featured with plenty of options for manipulating text. It has everything you'd expect in a word processor that handles rich text. I especially like the new quicklinks feature that allows me to edit a synced Dropbox folder created on the desktop from Scrivener. Of course, this would work equally well with any folder created in Dropbox. Cons: The interface can be a little counterintuitive--for example, the way to rename a folder is different from the way to rename a document. I haven't located a help file or documentation yet. Overall: This is a great buy, especially at the sale price if you need to work on rich text files on your iOS device and you can be patient through a bit of a learning curve. Also, the app is constantly improving. Since I purchased it not long ago, I've seen the developers add some great features.

Good RTF word processor. I've never understood why the "big" iOS word processors like Pages and Word don't edit RTF files, when this is such a useful format that can be read and edited by just about any Mac/PC word processor. Fortunately, Textilus Pro does this well. Formatting works smoothly, and it integrates well with Dropbox.

I love the app, but it hasn't worked right since the last update. Please fix! I use this app for medical logs I send to my doctor. Please, fix it ASAP

Where does this app disappear to?. Although I purchased a replacement Word Processor app I wanted to warn others of an issue with this one. I paid another $6 just to warn others. It performs well and for nearly two years met all my needs. Then suddenly this app disappears from both my iPhone and iPad without notice. All of my files saved with this product also disappeared! It was not in my icloud and was removed from my App Store purchase completely; both iPhone and iPad (I wish other apps I have and do not need would disappear like this; sure would clean my app box). My annoyance came when numerous attempts to contact this provider fail, it was if these guys did not exist! Good app but buy with caution!!

Does not accept dictation in iOS 13. One or two words at a time with dictation in ios 13. Problem did not exist before.

Do not buy. This app is a nightmare. It could be great if it would work. WiFi file transfer doesn't work. I connected to iTunes to transfer files. It transferred files but the app will not stay open for more than 11 seconds. Crash city. Stay away - iPad Pro

Fine App. Fine app, doing exactly what it's supposed to do. I'm a writer. It makes a light writing package with my Apple keyboard and iPhone 6. Very happy with it.

I feel duped. I purchased this app for the sole purpose that they claimed to support RTF and Microsoft RTF file formats. They don't unless you consider read only access to be supporting a file format. Every one of my RTF files opens in Textilus Pro with the error message "Read Only Document. Oops! Sorry, this document cannot be edited because tables are not supported yet. We will fix it very soon! Thanks!" Thanks? How about giving me my money back until you support RTF files like you claim.

A Good Writing Tool That Lost Some of Its Polish. (Updated for version 7.0.0) Finally. The development team have made good on their promises. While not perfect, this is the mobile writing tool I've been waiting for. Copy/cut/paste now work as I expect. Dropbox sync is seamless, especially for Scrivener, with one annoying exception. Occasionally, things get out of sync. The app forgets to update my Scrivener data on Dropbox so that when I open my files on my laptop, I sometimes lose things. I've found a work-around, but it's kludgey. Fortunately, this hasn't happened in the last few weeks. Maybe it's fixed. Smart quotes and spelling help are a big plus. If you write fiction, be patient, Textilus doesn't always like some of the words you want and will repeatedly 'fix' theme for you. Overall, it's the best mobile app that fits my approach to writing. I think I'll keep it.

STILL have no fixed quotation mark bug. They've had a million updates and yet they still haven't fixed the annoying quotation mark bug, where every single time you use quote marks, it puts an extra copy of them down in a different font right next to the first set and you have to go back and erase them manually at the begging and end of every quote! This is so tedious and actually really time consuming when you're writing a dialogue heavy novel. Ugh. Avoid this app like the plague. Their customer service is also the worst. They have never once replied to any questions I've ever sent them about app usage. Buy something else like notability. Not as many features but way way less buggy.

Awesome word processor, but support?. Textilus Pro is an awesome word processor. The first and best to support RTF documents. But if you ever need support, in my experience anyway, your emails get ignored.
