Dumbify Comments & Reviews 2026
Needs custom wallpapers. As much as I like the functionality of the widgets, I also don’t want my phone to be ugly. Undistracting, yes. But I like to surround myself with beautiful things to remind myself of my values, and my home screen is one way I like to do that. It would be nice to have custom wallpapers to go with the minimal launcher.
Too small. The widget is too small. It doesn't seem scaled properly. I see another review citing this issue with a response from the author back in April. Multiple shortcuts are needed because the text is too small when you have many apps listed.
Minimalist Goodness. This is a fantastic app that makes your home screen look just like a Light Phone. There are no special permissions required and it works great, even on iOS 18! Just some minor nits. The iOS 18 setting for Accessibility -> Per App Home Screen & App Library -> Reduce Motion is not being detected in the app, although it appears to be working. Additionally, the app icon does not change for iOS 18 dark mode.
A Fantastic Start. This app feels a lot like Blankspaces, but with some nice improvements and a reasonable price. My only request would be to add the ability to have multiple pages of items. The small text items for larger lists can get annoying. Overall, great work!
Great Concept but Clumsy to Use. Well thought out only issue is I can’t get rid of the bottom bar despite following the directions a few times. In the end, without Apple support it makes the phone harder to use which is too bad.
I like the app. Good app. If it had all the major apps and let people decide what they want to use. Phone should be an option. I really dislike that the app pops up in the background every time you use the widget. The shortcut is a bit difficult to use.
Fine Currently, Great Potential. So far, I enjoy this a lot. Seems like a good compromise between the Light Phone interface with the functionality of the iPhone. I don’t mind it jumping to shortcuts, but of course I would love if it didn’t (thanks apple). Here is an improvement I would love to see that does not seem like it would be difficult to implement: Various widget sizes. It would be nice to have the big square on top with the medium size rectangle on the bottom to have 2 widgets on one screen (iPhone 12 mini if that helps) I do have one actual issue, the supplied background is slightly different than the dark mode widget and dock. It is just so slightly off that I can see the border of the widget and dock. I have made sure blur is off and no ‘reduce transparency mode is enabled’
Highly recommend!. Love the idea - I’ve already been enjoying the benefits of using Dumbify to minimize the everyday “noise” from the seemingly nonstop stream of notifications.
Solid minimalist launcher. Dumbify is off to a good start. I prefer it to the alternatives (not least because it's a sane one-time purchase instead of a many-times-more-expensive subscription), and the author is quite responsive and steadily improving it.
Consistently fails. This app consistently fails by showing only black blocks on my Home Screen instead of my app list, to the point of not being able to use my phone if I want to only use the widgets. I definitely regret paying for it. You can’t make a home launcher that consistently blacks out.
Solid app that does what it says perfectly. Great app. Does what it says, straight forward and easy to set up. I have one suggestion which is to allow more color options for the background. I understand it would make the dock background look visible but a workaround would be maybe adding text/art to the dock area as part of the wallpaper or adding some kind of styling that makes it look like it’s not a dock. Even without the suggestion this is a 5 star app because it works exactly how it’s described and helps achieve the goal of minimizing distractions
The app is way too buggy for this price. After buying the app to test I have came to a conclusion it is a very good idea, but there are too many bugs on the app plus for its simplicity of an app I would feel as if the concept should have been complete before the launch of this application. The short cuts don’t work with full ui of apple , a lot of the shortcuts take you to random places in the application you want to go to.
Works well today and has huge promise. As you set up Dumbify, which does take 20 minutes or so, you have the chance to really marvel at how creative the developer has been in coopting features Apple has created to make the phone busier and more engrossing to instead simplify it and clean it. It’s creative, a little transgressive, and it works. The use of Shortcuts is less hacky than many of these reviews make it seem. The experience is good, and very supportive of reduced distraction in one’s smartphone use. I combine it with OneSec to support mindful use of key apps. I hope to see Dumbify continue to grow, and want to support anything that helps Apple understand how much many of us wish our phones could be inert tools waiting patiently to serve rather than black holes of engrossing distraction.
Exactly what I wanted. I came across this app in a post about how to reduce phone usage. It’s awesome, basically exactly like I would hope this type of app would work. I’ve only had it for a day or so, but I think the main value is just changing the default experience you have when you open your phone. By reducing your home screen to a plain list, you interact with your phone with a much more intentional way. Thanks to the developer for making such an awesome app.
It works.. It does the job. But what people mean by clunky is that the way it relies on shortcuts it either opens shortcuts then the app or dumbify, shortcuts, and then the selected app. You can make this a little more seamless in the accessibility settings but it does kinda make the rest of the phone clunky as a trade off.
Works great!. This is a great app to help reduce my phones addictive nature. It was very easy to setup and works as promised. The developer seems very active in rolling out updates which is always a plus.
Amazing. Love it. Does exactly what it says. Massive points for 1x payment. Thanks. Looking forward to improvements. Would love to tip if you have the option.
Does as advertised.. First app I’ve actually taken the time to right a review. If you’re looking to Dumbify your phone this does exactly that. The premise here is you match the background with the widget color, which the app provides and then declutter your Home Screen. It takes a minute to get used to as you’re adjusting yourself to how you’ve always used your phone. You can still access all of your apps and the smart part of your device. This just adds points of friction so you aren’t on autopilot to do those mindless scrolls. How the app functions does mean there is a bit of lag every time you do something so that snappy feel that Apple has gotten you accustomed too will go away. I’ll keep testing but as for the first night I’m very pleased and not bothered. I’ve seen some comments that already offer some great ideas so I’m hoping overtime there is still some support to keep my phone from controlling my life, but also being useful.
Love it!. Dumbify has a great asset on my phone, I love it! It has helped minimize the distractions that can often come from a smartphone. I’m hoping that there are plans to tweak the background color settings a bit to accommodate for the iOS 18 customization updates that have pushed out (Light vs. Dark mode).
So close to perfection. Tried this alongside two other apps that accomplish essentially the same thing. None of the apps have every feature I’m looking for, but this one comes the closest, and also looks the best. The only personally necessary feature that’s missing (which the other apps have) is setting a custom background for the widgets, i.e. making them appear transparent on any wallpaper. I already bought this app so I’ll continue to use it, in the hopes that this feature is added in the future. Lots of potential here and an overall enjoyable UI/UX.
Works great. I bought this and I been using it for about like a month and it works great, I don’t use Instagram and social media apps as much and the app works great, I recommend this app to anyone looking to make there phone a dumb phone
Best yet. I’ve been trying to dumbify my phone in fits and starts for a while now. I was in another fit and start a couple days ago. I tried one app I had read about but it was clunky to use and couldn’t find/link to simple apps that come with the iPhone. Found another and tried it and the process was convoluted and confusing. While trying to find out how to work it, I discovered Dumbify. It is heads and tails over anything else I’ve seen or tried. Simple, elegant user interface. In just two days, my phone use has already gone down. I asked a question on the Reddit post where I discovered the app, and the developer was quick to respond, which was awesome. A few (not all) of the iPhone native apps require going though Shortcuts (this is an Apple thing, not a Dumbify thing), and seeing that burst of color interrupt my calm minimalist phone drives me bonkers. It’s very quick and temporary, but come on, Apple!
great start, great potential. Its a simple app and doesn’t really change the whole functionality of the iphone although I wish it did. it can just change of page of your phone to a more simple look. i’m just starting it but i hope the app gains more functionality in the coming days and weeks and months and years
Shortcuts doesn’t work. I’m trying to get this set up. I’ve been working on it all morning. Some of the apps on iPhone need to go through shortcuts and it’s not opening on my phone like in the tutorial video. I’ve tried everything and I’m frustrated and there’s no contact info so that I can get help.
It works fine.. In a sea of clone apps with subscriptions and upsells, it’s refreshing to see a simple app that does what it says from the start.
Love it!. Great app for money compared to competitors, the dev is very active and I’m looking forward to having multiple widgets!
Functional but a little clunky. I appreciate how clean this looks, bit launching an app is not a very smooth experience. The app supports a handful of potential apps out of the box, but if you want to add an app that isn’t on there it can get somewhat technical (either url schemes or you make a shortcut). My biggest gripe is likely a limitation of iOS itself, but the widget doesn’t launch your desired app directly. It launches the app which then redirects you to the app (or sometimes it redirects you to a shortcut that redirects you to the app for another layer). You’re definitely choosing style over seamlessness with this compared to using a shortcut widget. I set this up so that it shows the home screen and wallpaper using a focus mode so I can quickly toggle between this and my unrestricted phone access. I highly recommend that for those who are on the fence, but I do seem to be stuck with the same app dock on my home screen (again, this is an iOS issue more than anything but i’m mentioning it since this app aims to essentially reskin iOS) Definitely worth the money and it seems to do everything it can but it does have its limitations. edit: I just realized that enabling “Reduce Motion” in accessibility gets rid of the animations when launching an app which makes the experience much smoother and also removes more distracting eyecandy on your phone!
Minimalist, simple and easy to use. Once I got the app settup it made my iPhone use so much easier. It’s like reading a book. I dont have to navigate the chaos that is my apps or app folder. I have 3 pages. 1 organized with the productivity tools I use in a daily basis. Another page I use for all my communication and messaging apps. And a third I use for the more recreational apps like camera or a metronome for music, as well as my gdrive. It would be great if the app could create 2 or 3 more pages for additional organization and spacing. Makes my tech addiction that much more easier to control. Thanks!
Almost perfect. Overall works very well with one small gripe. I’d like the widget to either be full screen or half screen to allow placing two widgets on my iPhone SE. I added too many apps, and the names are now overflowing outside of the widget. Currently I can only place 10 apps and I wanted 11! It also looks like the Settings app doesn’t launch to the main page.
Works as Described. Needed an app to clean up my Home Screen a bit and so far this fits the bill. Only used it for an hour so far so we’ll see how it goes.
Best App on the App Store. This works so well that it blows my mind away. The workaround using Shortcuts is a little jank but worth it considering the decreased noise on the home screen. A feature idea I have is for a weather widget in the same style. A text only weather widget would look great. Thanks for this amazing app fr <3
Good Way to Stop Pickups. This app has helped tremendously in cutting down on my screen time. Not seeing those red bubbles on my apps reduces the need for useless pickups. Only issue I have is when I go to my settings using this app it goes into the settings for the dumbify app instead of going to the main settings screen which is slightly annoying.
I want the light phone so I’m trying this. I’ve never wrote a review before, but this app has been pretty cool to use. I’d trade my 13 mini for a Light Phone, but I don’t wanna be the green text guy and true dumb phones aren’t really practical. This app gets me most of the way there. Very simple and straightforward to use. I use focus modes, so I can switch back to my regular set up quickly. The only annoying thing is whenever I open Settings, it opens the Dumbify settings. Very strange so if there’s a fix please let me know.
Love it but…. I have been enjoying using this app to remove clutter from my Home Screen but there’s a bug with the settings launcher. Instead of launching the main settings it launches the dumbing settings. There are also a couple other stock apps that don’t open smoothly like the phone app and the camera.
This will save you time and money. Yes you can pay a few hundred dollars to buy a dumb-smartphone. Or you could pay for this, and achieve the same effect. Thank you for making a one time purchase app that is functional and useful. Three widgets is enough to contain every useful app I need to access, no less and no more.
Exactly As Described. It actually did exactly what I was hoping, understanding the native limitations of the iPhone ecosystem. Only one without subscription!
Customer support. I reached out for help to set up my layout and Anthony fixed it right up. Thank you!
Surprisingly good. For just a one time payment of $4.99 this app works really well. The documentation is great for troubleshooting and they make setting up third party apps super simple. There are some iOS confines around placement that are annoying but all things considered great app for simplifying your phone.
(I am) Functionally Useless. Adding custom apps does not function, and what the launcher features by default is EXTREMELY limited. [IGNORE THIS/Do not give this dev a penny, this product barely functions in it’s current state/IGNORE THIS] Edit: I have brain damage, apparently. App is fine. Ignore me
Best Decision I Ever Made. Right up front, I am shocked at all the negative reviews. This app is PERFECTION. For years I have struggled with phone addiction and screentime. This app does exactly what it says it will do, give you a minimalist screensaver. This happened to dramatically benefit my life. Also, if you are annoyed with it bringing you to shortcuts during the initial setup for the app, just set your phone to monochrome. The fact that so many people are making a big deal out of that is quite honestly ludicrous. Anyways, thank you developers for the fantastic app
Shorcut. Jumping with shortcuts is a pretty unenjoyable experience. App is well designed and i understand the constrains the developer is working with are Apple related but fair warning to those before you buy for $5 to know every click will be a shortcut
Really promising. This app is really great considering it’s still in an early version. The creator is really reactive on the feedback and I’m sure it will soon be better than Blank Spaces App for a fifth of the price !
Fine, Needs (a lot) More. I’ll change my review if the developer fixed any of the problems I talk about here. This is an extremely simple app that basically acts as a stylish launcher for Apple Shortcuts. Shortcuts, which comes included with any recent Apple device, is free & amazing (through no effort of the creator of this app.) Dumbify isn’t different from any of the other free apps that provide minimalist Launcher Widgets, and actually offers less customizability in some cases. That’s why it’s so disappointing how *little* this app does. There are two types of Widgets that Dumbify provides: one that can show links to (Shortcuts that open) apps of your choice, and an empty one that acts as a “spacer” for your home screen. There is only ONE size of Launcher Widget offered, which takes up an entire screen of an iPhone. There is ZERO customization beyond this, which is where I’m frustrated. I’d really really like to see more than one size of Launcher widget offered, or the ability to re-size the Launcher Widget on iOS 18 (running the beta in my iPad, Dumbify *does not* include this super simple functionality.) The lack of Launcher Widget customization beyond font size/weight is super disappointing too - I’d expect a few options for alternative fonts to the default. Dumbify is a product to make your home screen look *exactly* how those in the App Store page’s demo pictures show. If you want anything beyond that (and you likely will after a few hours) go somewhere else.
One suggestion to elevate it.. My only suggestion would be a clear widget to show a picture on the background. I mainly have my cats in the background and would love to keep it. But besides that is good.
Works, but apps don’t launch smoothly. This app essentially does what it says, but the way apps launch is so clunky that it detracts from the user experience. There is a quick launch option to try to mitigate this, but it still doesn’t feel right. This isn’t the developer’s fault as it seems like they’re doing the best they can within the confines of iOS, but it’s just not what I was hoping for when I purchased the app.
Stacking widgets is not working. Just downloaded it and I’m on setting it up. But unlike the tutorial video, stacking widgets is not working. Fix it please
Waste of money. It’s not changing our iOS - it’s just a “full page” widget on your Home Screen and they give you a background color so it looks “good”. HOWEVER, app integration and user experience are atrocious and some of your app can not integrate with their widget. TBH - It’s not that this app is terrible, it’s that they sale you “the moon” in marketing and then give you a cardboard box and tell you to color it like a spaceship.
Great App, Does as Advertised. I saw ads for a lot of similar apps on Instagram but they were all early access or subscription nonsense. Then I stumbled across this app and was quite delighted! There's not a whole lot to say; the app does exactly what it says, and does it well. It's gotten my screen time down, which is what I was hoping to see. Waiting for multi-page support, but I've stop-gapped that with a few Shortcuts for now. If you're looking to spend less time on your phone, give this a try!
Best app for the price. 5$ gets you what every other app is selling for 20$+. Great app that does the job. One gripe is the litte “search” text at the bottom of the home page, hoping to remove that somehow. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
So-so app. Turning your phone to grey scale and removing apps you don’t use/want does the same thing. You can swipe away from this launcher to your other apps so it’s not really making your phone a “dumb phone lite” or giving much friction to getting to the rest of your phone.

Colour grading is significantly off. For an app that cost nearly $8, they can’t even make sure the widget and the background are the same shade
5 Stars. Not sure why this app isn’t 5 stars. I am guessing some people complained due to user error or not having a recent IOS update but this app is exactly what I needed and is the best value app for setting up your dumb phone.
Total waste on money. This app will not change your home screen but only add a text widget. Dont waste your money on it.
Great for the ADHD folks out there. Really clever idea, to kind of turn your phone into a 'dumb phone' facade. I recommend doing this and also putting your phone into greyscale mode. Also great its not some extortionate subscription scheme.
Absolutely incredible.. Recently changed my settings to display grayscale however I still wasn’t satisfied with how busy the screen can feel. Saw a couple of people use the app recently, and as soon as I found out what it was called, I downloaded the app 20 minutes ago, and have come back to review. Absolutely amazing, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. The app is so well thought out, so well designed and the inclusion of video tutorials wasn’t needed, but nonetheless appreciated. Best $8 I’ve spent on the App Store. The idea of making the menu items widgets is such a clever idea. Suggestion: it would be amazing to integrate with Apple Reminders api so i could use my Apple reminders, but through your awesome, clean lense. Even without this addition, i still love what you’ve done here.
Doesn’t work. This app doesn’t work, I cannot add the widget despite working through the solution suggested and changing the language. I’d like my money back
My phone is not engaging. This app is simple. And thats what i want my phone to be. 1) delete all your apps from the home screen 2) limit all your widgets from your home screen 3) choose a theme... black or white 4) list and link your main apps 5) enjoy the wprld arohnd you, youll stop engaging with your phone. Hint. Want black and white weather widget get 'boring weather' fits with the theme.
Great app but wish you could customise background colour. I really like the app and how simple it is to set up, but the only problem I have is the grey background lol. It would nice if a full black option was added or just a fully custom colour picker. Otherwise, this app has greatly helped control my screen time.
Simple and Very Effective. I have been on a journey of Technological Minimalism for some time, now, and have landed on the idea that the minimalist dumb/smart phones on the market are (albeit beautiful) a little under equipped for what I need. I need a smart phone with the tools available to an iPhone but without the addictive motions, animations, colours and access to infinite feeds. For me, my iPhone SE with this app has answered that prayer! A clean, text based, interface but access to Banks, Study tools and WhatsApp! (Also, I had one little issue with the Grey app section at the bottom and the creator directly responded with the solution. That’s customer service!) Well worth the small one off cost!
Lovely and clean homescreen. Great idea and execution. Easy to setup. Turns the home screen into a nice quiet place. Hopefully Apple allows for larger widgets soon, and makes the URL scheme work for every app. Thank you.

Waste of money. Hard to use - rubbish app- need money back
Simple, effective. The app is good for what it is. It’s a design app to make your home screen dumb af. Anytime you open an app within the homepage it triggers a shortcut and open the app in question. Effective and makes it harder to spend time in phone. I’ve lowered my usage by more than 50% since I downloaded this 3 months ago.
Bad app. This app doesn't really work on its own. Also it is clunky and terrible to setup. You can't get a refund either. Definitely not worth the purchase.
good but need amoled dark mode. that's it
Please Add True Black Mode. Please add a true dark mode for OLED devices! App is easy to use otherwise.
Love the look. Well worth the money and the boring installation steps. thanks for not forcing us to a subscription plan.
Need more apps. Not integrated with enough apps to make this practical. Would like to see email apps, messaging apps included
Don’t bother. This app doesn’t deliver as promised. You’ll still see all your apps when you unlock your phone, you’ll have to then swipe right to get to the ‘clean minimalist list’ as a widget on the widget page. The app description shows the list as being readily available on the Home Screen, but nope. So what’s the point of having to bypass the apps to get to the widget? Am I missing something? Want a refund.
Too janky. Love the promise, but it just doesn’t work right. Launching apps through shortcuts make the OS flip through several screens before landing on the correct app. And I don’t know the URL schemes of my apps; it’s a lot of work to set up!
Love the idea… Apple just won’t let this work. I really like the idea of this launcher and what it promises, but there are just too many workarounds and compromises needed to make this (kind of) work. Not this developer’s fault, but it just means this app doesn’t work as well as we wish it would.
Best minimalist launcher for iOS. Out of all the options for minimalist launchers, this one is by far my favourite. No subscription or in app purchase paywalls, just a one time purchase at a reasonable price. The launcher works well, and the developer was very quick to add any apps that are not yet supported. I look forward to seeing more features get added to Dumbify over time.
Impractical. The interface looks clean but in practice it’s very annoying to use. Nice idea but poor execution due to iPhone limitations.
Really sick app BUT no OLED black option.. I know that the app needs to have this monochrome grey in order to hide the dock but at least having the option and notifying users would be good.
Not ready. A glorified widget but has very limited integration to common apps (ie missing slack), which means constantly working around widget. For $7, I would expect much more.
Great app for those looking to streamline cellphone usage. Loving this app! I’m able to streamline and simplify my home screen so I can spend more time doing things that are meaningful to me and stop spending hours scrolling. I love that custom apps can be added and the dark mode feature makes things even more simple / minimalist.
Wow. Wow……….amazing app. Just see for yourselves 🫠
Not functioning iphone 12 mini. Recently purchased. Have tried trouble shooting via the suggestions within the app and by checking out different blogs. Widget will not appear in the widget finder on IOS. Too bad, looks like a really cool app.
Meh. I like the idea, and will probably stick with it. But the UX leaves a lot to be desired and the whole thing feels janky, given the premium app price. The launching is slow and uses hacky workarounds where you still need to do a lot of work to set up shortcuts, the functionality is limited, and it all feels very poorly executed.
Hot garbage - do not buy. A total pain to set up, won’t recognize basic apps like Outlook (or even Camera), and contrary to its purpose, launches several programs every time you try to open something (I.e.: makes everything more complex and crowded). Background colour on app does not match shortcut background, making it look pretty bad. Don’t waste your $ on this - I can’t believe I spent $7 on this garbage - completely disappointing
Use the free alternatives.. Do not buy this. Just use the free ones available on the store. The experience on this isn’t any better than the free apps available. This product is ineligible for refund.
Good concept, poor execution. I like the concept of the app and am even okay with its workarounds with shortcuts and whatnot. However, the baseline UX is so poor (especially given that it's not free) that I have to give this a low rating. For example: - Clicking on the + button to add apps to widgets is inconsistent, sometimes it requires multiple clicks or straight up doesn't work and I'm required to restart the app - Sometimes "edit" mode randomly enables and disables in the widget screen and I have to wait for the ⛔️ icons to chill out before doing anything - Overall navigating the app feels clunky and frustrating (I just want my buttons to work!) I hope the devs can address these issues as I would easily give this a higher rating if the UX was at an acceptable level. Right now it's not.
Wow!. I rarely leave reviews, but this app really stands out. It managed to accomplish what it set out to do through some clever UI tweaks that work seamlessly with iOS. I recommend it.
Simple and exactly what’s needed. This app is perfect if you are trying to work on digital wellbeing. The interface is simple, and boring (and dumb) which is exactly what I need. I find myself less likely to be accidentally scrolling on my phone. The interface makes it much easier to be purposeful about each phone use. Thanks for building this app and for making it a one time purchase.
Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!
iOS 18 issues. I tried the language hack to fix, but this app still does not let me add widgets to my Lock Screen.
Love the app. Please add more features, I wish no integration with shortcuts and I wish the (OLED)black was true for my device screen.
thank u dev 🤍. the irony of downloading a minimalist launcher app and then complaining that its essentially too minimal... lol. personally - this app has been a godsend. i bought it within days of release and have been using it since. minimal launcher + greyscale = diy dumbphone. its everything i wanted and nothing i dont! thanks you :))
Customer support. I reached out for help to set up my layout and Anthony fixed it right up. Thank you!
Exactly As Described. It actually did exactly what I was hoping, understanding the native limitations of the iPhone ecosystem. Only one without subscription!
Confusing. I had a lot of trouble setting this app up. Eventually I gave up.
Dumb app - doesn’t help at all. No way to actually block most apps or App Library. Waste of time . I want my money back
Bad function, 90% of short cuts don’t works. Needs update. I’m not one to leave 1 stars but don’t do it
Dumbify is so dumb. Not user friendly, doesn’t show what advertises in the picture. I was trying to have a blank screen with my top five apps that’s needed for work and communication. This doesnt help with that at all. Don’t listen to any other reviews. DONT BUY THIS! Scamming people to the maximum extent.
OK. You’re paying for widgets and shortcuts. The rest is wallpaper and dark mode. Nothing special.
Do not use with iOS 26. Unfortunately, this app doesn’t pair well with iOS 26. The Liquid Glass completely ruins the minimalism, creating weird outlines, mismatched colors and other issues with app mapping. This isn’t necessarily on the app developers shoulders alone, but has made it not the app it should be with the new OS.
Stacking widgets is not working. Just downloaded it and I’m on setting it up. But unlike the tutorial video, stacking widgets is not working. Fix it please
Great, could add some quality of life. I love the present features. I would request that you please add more widget panels than just three and the option to change fonts.
Too small. The widget is too small. It doesn't seem scaled properly. I see another review citing this issue with a response from the author back in April. Multiple shortcuts are needed because the text is too small when you have many apps listed.
Broken app, don’t get this. Unfortunately a new iOS update has broken this app. Developer is does not maintain it. Avoid
Does not allow apps. This app does not allow you to input apps like Notion, Motion and plenty of other apps into their widget. This is a warning to others that if you do not use the most basic apps and have note apps and tasks apps to not waste your $$
Worst waste of my time ever. Saw a video of a dad that claimed this app helped him simplify his phone and become more productive and a better example to his kids. This app does not work at all, your phone is NOT dumbified. Waste of money, and apple wont give me a refund.
fix the shortcut issue please. when tapping the name of certain apps in the widget it opens the shortcut app brielfy before opening the actual app. turning reduced motion on doesnt fix this issue only makes the jumping between the widget, the shortcuts app, and the desired app faster. will improve my rating when this is fixed.
Pretty slow. Feel like I’m missing something, this app is slow to work, quickly apparent that this won’t work for me
Great destressor. My phone works FOR me again!
Save your money. None of the shortcuts worked, I lit 5$ on fire. I could program them manually but this defeats the purpose for the developers.
Half of widgets don’t work. I followed the instructions exactly and most of them worked at first and then stopped working. A couple apps never worked at all.
It works fine.. In a sea of clone apps with subscriptions and upsells, it’s refreshing to see a simple app that does what it says from the start.
Don’t waste your money on this. It’s not a seamless experience because it depends on the shortcuts app to function. It’s half baked at best.
Sorry not sorry. Genuine biggest waste of money ever so useless needs more features to be worth money can i please get a refund
Good but…. I enjoy the app It does it purpose Would love a minimalist weather widget if possible! The Blank app has that feature and I really like it.
It's not good. You can get the other free app, I forget the name that is basically like this one for free and has better design. The design of this one is bad, you can only add so many apps before it cuts off and there's nothing you can do about it. This should be free, I'm requesting a refund.
No Updates. Great app but unfortunately no updates for over a year. If you use iOS 26 I don’t recommend this app as the UI looks bad.
Worked well until iOS 26. With the advent of iOS 26 and Liquid Glass, this app has become completely unusable from a UI/UX perspective. It is now distracting to look at anything on the home screen, which defeats the point of using it. Until this app is fixed, I cannot give it anything more than 1 star.
Stacking Widgets Bugging Out. I’m using iOS 17.5.1. If I stack the widgets like shown in the video, when I swipe from one to the other nothing shows up.
Amazing App, But Doesn’t work on 26+. This app works amazing on iOS 18 but once I updated became useless/unusable :(
One suggestion to elevate it.. My only suggestion would be a clear widget to show a picture on the background. I mainly have my cats in the background and would love to keep it. But besides that is good.
Nice app. It’s like On Point but better
Needs a blank spacer and better fonts. If they added a spacer and better fonts it would be perfect.
love it — needs update. love the app so far. would appreciate an update for the new iOS26 it has ugly borders now
It’s just a widget. I watched a video that recommended this, but I’m sorely disappointed. This is literally just a widget that you can add app names onto to open them. And it needs to open up dumbify before opening those apps. It is useless. Don’t get it.
DO NOT BUY - App doesn’t work. I downloaded the app to help spend less time on my phone. Trying to get this app to actually perform how it said it would has caused me more time on my phone. Deleted immediately and asked Apple for a refund. It said it was not eligible for refund. TOTAL SCAM!
Highly recommend!. Love the idea - I’ve already been enjoying the benefits of using Dumbify to minimize the everyday “noise” from the seemingly nonstop stream of notifications.
Consistently fails. This app consistently fails by showing only black blocks on my Home Screen instead of my app list, to the point of not being able to use my phone if I want to only use the widgets. I definitely regret paying for it. You can’t make a home launcher that consistently blacks out.
Best $$ I’ve spent on an app. Seriously amazing. This makes my phone so much cleaner and makes me so happy
5 Stars. Love it so far. Excited to see what’s else is in store!
My apps are not in the list. Thought this would be a list of my apps. Seems like a bug.
Amoled background option would be nice!. works as intended but is a little clunky
Worst one. If I could ask for a refund I would. Even premium is laggy and opens the launcher and THEIR APP before the apps you need launched. Worst one I’ve downloaded and paid for.
Doesn’t work as advertised. Doesn’t work. The widget can never be added, even after following the FAQ. The app is effectiveness useless to me and I can’t get a refund so it feels like I got scammed :(
Needs dumbification. Not simple to set up. Tutorials don’t match current iOS. Conflicts with iOS 18. Hasn’t been updated in 11 months? Too bad. Looked really cool.
Love it!. Great app for money compared to competitors, the dev is very active and I’m looking forward to having multiple widgets!
Amazing. Love it. Does exactly what it says. Massive points for 1x payment. Thanks. Looking forward to improvements. Would love to tip if you have the option.
You’re throwing away your chance, dev. You are not updating the all. Other competitors are going to eat your lunch… don’t abandon this potential cash cow…
