Bad bad bad. I'm an IT professional and deal with CCTV applications all day figured I would give this a try for a budget friendly option... you get what you pay for. Returned all items and deleted app... will not buy again.

Useless. Bought a smart outlet and the app refuses to add it. It was on clearance so I’m guessing no one else could get anything added with this app either. Throwing it in the trash now

Stay away from this company. Worths service the app close it self when you are trying to install a new monitor

Do not believe "customer service". Though the app seems to be very well thought out and may work for some it has been a terrible headache for me and has not worked. I have followed all directions on videos etc. have contacted "customer service 4 times and their automated promises of contacting me have never been fulfilled, do not believe what the say. Too bad as it seems on paper to be what I wanted.

Crappy program and camera. Terrible! App won’t work. Called and emailed company several times and they do not respond DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

update needed. I have the Security Camera. They need to update the app to keep up with the IPhone updates. It worked perfectly for me before the iPhone updates. It no longer works. UPDATE THE APP!!!!!

Never worked once. I had the smart plug and it never worked. Apple should take this app off the store or retest it themselves!

Why, oh why?. Why have you not made any updates in over a year? Clearly this is long over due. There is much potential in this product yet since I purchased my macro some time ago, there has been a steady decline in its stability to now it does not even have a recognizable WiFi signal transmitting from itself so as to re-establish a new setup. If your company is out of business, just say so, so that we may move on.

Poor app. The app always crashes and doesn’t give you proper notifications. Also, it doesn’t work with the new apple IOS and I can’t add cameras.

Don’t bother!!. The app doesn’t even work. You can’t add any devices because the QR reader doesn’t work.

Trash. All mine do is say Wi-Fi connecting please wait and it never connect.

Would not recommend. I am a rather tech savvy person and must warn you not to purchase these products. I have a camera from them and when trying to add to the app, so I can actually use the camera, the qr screen shows nothing. The application has all necessary permissions and still does not work. It will not let you add a device whatsoever. If updates are released that make this product usable it would be a good bang for the buck. Otherwise do not buy.

Don’t buy. WASTE OF MONEY

No updates on the app. Light bulbs arent connecting for a few months now. The app is worse no way to reset them like on the Alexa app. Phillips bulbs easy connect to Echo this junk is useful for 3 months then its just a regular bulbs. $50 down the drain

Can’t add devices on my I phone screen is blank .. Please fix this ?!!!! It’s worked okay for a long time . Not good but okay . If I can’t use the devices any longer I would expect a refund ASAP, it’s crazy these people have not gotten sued yet.

I think the company forgot they have customers.. Got the switched outlet as a gift a few years ago. It worked great. For a few years. Then we got a new router, a modern router. I spent hours trying to get the switched outlet working on the new router. No luck. Hooked up the old router and tried the install again, success! In the end, it all appears to work as long as I stay with a 2008 vintage router. Avoid this company, their software and their products.

Junk. The concept is great but it doesn’t work and the support says that it is fixed but it still does not work. It has been 6 weeks and I still have not been able to use it. Total waste of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does not work. App does not send verification email so login account cannot be activated.

Decent but needs work. Kinda a big problem no iPad version, many setting that can be changed from the camera web page are not available in the app. Crashes quite often.. but gets the job done.

Connection issues. Also I have just recently purchased the camera it look like a pretty cool camera but when I got home it never connected to the app then I returned it got a new one and it did the same.. there’s definitely a miscommunication between whoever makes these apps and the people that make the cameras... smh don’t waste your money people........

Plug doesn’t work with scheduling. I bought the Simplehome plug last year. It was difficult to get connected to my router. I had to try it from the beginning at least 6 times. Problem may have been that my phone was connected to the router at 5Ghz and the plug only works at 2.4Ghz. Shouldn’t have been a problem but I got it to work when I switched my iPhone to 2.4Ghz. The schedule program will turn on the plug at the correct time but it doesn’t turn off when it should. It turns off early or not at all. It can shut off many hours early not just by a few minutes. It also won’t allow a time period to span midnight it gives an error. It works okay if turned on/off manually. You have to press login twice then select a few more buttons and wait for it to connect before being able to turn on/off. You can leave the iPhone program running, it will crash making you login again if you later try to run the program. I wish I had never purchased this device. There has not been any updates or bug fixes in more than a year so they don’t seem to want customers to be happy.

Horrible. I cannot get the device to connect to my WiFi. I’ve tried and tried. I have followed all of the directions but I cannot get it to work. Waste of time and money. No wonder it has horrible reviews.

Very poor. I have 5 Simple Home plugs. They do NOT follow the schedule, & can be difficult to reconnect if they ever go offline. Do NOT buy!

Can’t get the app to work. I am having the worse time connecting the camera to the app.

Good thing the camera was free.. Got the camera for free, spent 15 minutes trying to install using the app. It will not add the device. Don’t even bother even unboxing the unit. From the reviews it looks like there hasn’t been a positive experience using this in at least two years.

HORRIBLE. I had quite a few of their products and recommended them to friends, who also purchased them. Then, my pan and tilt cameras suddenly stopped working. I reset them; I tried everything many times, but nothing worked. Finally, I contacted customer service, leaving multiple voice messages and emails for over 6 MONTHS, and got NO RESPONSE. I bought a new router modem, hoping that would help. It didn’t. Then I bought 2 new cameras, and they wouldn’t connect either. The products worked very well initially, for probably over a year, and then only the cameras stopped. I will throw out the other products. I’m done with this company. DO NOT BUY FROM SIMPLE HOME OR XTREME!!!

Garbage. I can’t get the app to work , it won’t even turn on my phone camera to scan the barcode on the WiFi cam , I’ve tried 3 phones ..junk , do not buy !!

Just hate it.. I got two of this products about two years ago. Worked good for the first year then it stoped working on and off know they don’t even work any more I just hate this dam product never again will I buy it.. you guys are not getting any money from me... and too fill out the support papers it’s like going to a doctor office they want to know where how what time and what company just hate it...

Loading problem. This app has been loading for around 20 minutes. No matter what I do, it keeps loading.

Unable to crate account. Just download the app and trying to create an account and it is stuck on buffering. I am trying all the fixings and nothing works. Waste of money

Not all that great. It worked for awhile and I could connect elsewhere, which is the whole reason I got it. But, then it stopped connecting anywhere but at my home.

I give up!. I don’t quit easily but I give up trying to add devices. The app has not been updated in 3 years and I think that’s where the problem lies. Years ago, it was simple but it seems to be abandoned at this time.

Sell for cheap because.... There is no way to set your time zone for the scheduling and the default is set to Greenwich Mean Time. A five hour difference for me. Central Time Zone. I figured it out when I woke up at 3am and the light was on. It was scheduled to come on at 10 for an hour or so. I kept playing with times until I hit on the 5 hour difference. So now it works great! Just add 5 hours to any schedule. I am using the plug and light. For the price I paid it is a bargain.

Having problems due to new Apple OS. Tilt pan camera won’t connect to internet.

App is terrible. Bulbs are worse.. I wish I could write my own app for the smart plugs that I bought. Schedule does not work right at all. I need google home connectivity , but forced to rely on an app with a user experience of zero.

Not good at all!!!. This app/camera is horrible and is not worth it!! I can’t connect it at all. I followed every step and double checked everything and I could not add new device. I hope this company flops!!👎

Scam product!!. First it wants your email address.. Then it wants your wifi password.. THEN IT PUTS YOU ON AN UNSECURED NETWORK!!! Baaaaad!!!!!!👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Devices don’t install. Simple - the motion sensor and ePlug devices do not register nor install. Can’t use them. Out of the box this does not work.

App doesn’t work, devices don’t work. No support for app after ios11 and all devices are no longer compatible, I’m forced to get rid of these devices in less than 6 months after purchase. Thanks...

Upset. Door sensor product came broken out of package. The English instructions are poorly translated with major spelling errors, making the instructions misleading at times. Customer support have not answered the phones after multiple attempts to open a dialog regarding these avoidable circumstances.

Cameras. This app does not work with IOS 11. They say they are working on an update. They aren’t too speedy with that. Not very pleased.

Very nice products!. I never had a group of devices that works in a app made to be simple and reliable. This is the one. Great work Simple Home team!! Yes the app crashes sometimes but no big deal. I have a indoor camera and it operates perfectly and the sensor sends a notification to my phone even if the app is closed! Peace of mind for me. The multicolour led light also works great. I would like to access my account with Touch ID if possible... when do you guy give us a smoke/carbon monoxide detector?

Smart plug. There is a bug with the schedule.... You can’t set time from 7:00pm to 1:00 am. It says that end time should be greater...

Unbelievable. Would give it less than 1 stars if I could. Was looking to add some devices but can’t even use what I have because app doesn’t even connect anymore. Was a great device I had but turned out to be an expensive lightbulb. Good thing I only had the lightbulb. Dissatisfied beyond words!

Worthless. Was up all night trying to link this to my internet. And then his morning it worked. Still don’t understand how it really works yet. Not happy that there’s no customer service. No off-company YouTube videos to help troubleshoot nor was there any q&a for my particular issues. I’m exhausted and now have to wait another full day just to use it on my back deck at night. Very frustrated and may still return it.

Piece of junk. This is the worse piece of electronic garbage I have ever bought!!!!! Spent countless hours downloading app, trying to get it to connect to I phone, video tutorial that I found is in Spanish!! This thing is nothing but junk! Also makes wi if unsecured , not a good move!! This company needs to hire some tech people that know what they are doing to straighten out this piece of junk! I'm taking it back where I bought it and getting something that's less confusing and easier to set up!

Very disappointed. The light bulb won't connect to the Internet and the app kicks me out every time I try to set up an automatic timer for the wall outlet. Very disappointed.

New Update is Excellent!. I got notified this morning that there was an update of this app and it automatically downloaded over night. All I can tell y’all is that its wonderful. First of all, I’d been have a heck of a time to connect my camera to the app and now after the update it adds flawlessly. All my other items connect much quicker too and it seems like its running faster/better overall. Now that everything is dandy, I am glad I got these items. I woke up this morning and had the outlet turn on the coffee machine when the motion detector went off—neat trick.

Not working. When I want to add a camera the capture QR screen goes all black and camera can’t scan the code!!

Awful product. I got the wall plug which should be extremely simple- a timed on/off switch was all I needed. After a complicated setup, I got it connected, but its BASIC FUNCTION, the on/off scheduled switch... does not work! Frustrating piece of junk- if a "Simple" plug doesn't work, I can't imagine the rest of their product line!

Amazing Security System. Awesome!!! I got some cameras and lights makes my life a lot simpler!

For the price home automation is nice. I will preface my review by saying that I paid a very inexpensive price for 2 wall plugs from TJ Maxx. I was skeptical for the price but am happy with them. No hub is required! I love this because it means 1 less thing to setup in my complicated network. 1 of the plugs had been registered to another account (probably a return) and I had to send an email to support for deregistering of the plug. Support replied quickly. One person complained about having to login each time they use the app. ADT requires this too as does my Chamberlain garage opener. Do you really want a home automation device easily accessible if someone steals your phone? The login process is as simple as you can get compared to other apps. I paid more for the ADT home automation devices they offer so I am please with the inexpensive investment. 1 star for easy of pairing using QR code. 1 star for a ease of use 1 star for quick support response 1 star for price How can this app get 5 stars? 1. Add Touch ID login 2. Improve faster connection to devices upon app launch 3. Show favorite devices on home screen after app launch

Disappointing. I bought the color changing light in hopes that I could make my room different colors, but I got stuck on trying to connect the light to WiFi. I watched the video and read what few instructions came with the light (it mostly just said to watch the YouTube video) and I believe that the light was supposed to light up when you screwed it into a power source, but that didn’t work. I originally thought nothing of it, but in hindsight that was probably a red flag. It was heavily marked down, so I would recommend investing in something high quality if you want a color changing led light.

Terrible app after update. I can’t even get this application to open camera so I can take a picture of the QR code how am I supposed to scan the camera to get it up and going

Does it really still exist???. I’ve been using an app called simple home on my android phone and it has been completely reliable. Recently I bought an iPhone and expected the same. Unfortunately I can’t even get an account confirmation email sent to me. How disappointing to find this sort of an app is shown in the AppStore! I thought Apple was better than that.

Worthless piece of junk. This is literally impossible to setup. I login and click to add a device and nothing happens. Go to settings and it just allows you to change your password. I even went to my phones main settings and opened up the camera options still the app will not show the camera screen to scan the QR code. You can not set this up without being able to scan the code. I hate the thought of adding this piece of junk to the landfill but that is my only option.

Excellent products. This app works great with my new wifi camera.

App not working right. I installed the app, made an account, when I went to scan the QR code, the camera wouldn't open in the app.

Simple Home. I have 5 devices set up in my home including a motion sensor in my garage. Everything works better than I expected. The quality of the cameras is excellent and the motion sensor alerts me whenever anyone walks near the garage. I couldn't be more pleased with the system

Unable to connect. Took over an hour to try connecting my device, until I just said forget it. It would go through the whole process, only to say it was unsuccessful. Returning the camera and deleting the app and my account!

Waste of time. After trying for an hour to get it to connect to the internet, I gave up. I followed all instructions and troubleshooting procedures and still nothing worked. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy.

App Doesn't Work. I also bought this from TJ Maxx. It took me a while to hook it up but I got it working. Every time you close the app it logs you out. Once I logged out I could not log back in no matter what I did. You cannot use the app or the device if you cannot log in. I have WeMo and Nest products in my house. They are much better. Skip this one

Amazing. Update: I'm starting to voice automate my life via the Amazon Echo and IFTT. SIMPLEHOME really needs to add IFTT capability. Update: had an issue where one device (motion sensor) stopped triggering another Simple Home device (alarm). Tech support (actual people answer the phone!) replicated the problem, found the issue was at their end and quickly make everything work again. Great company!!! I'm off to Amazon now too find more things to add to my Simple Home network. Old review: ------------ Exactly what I was looking for. $30 for a motion sensor and now I know if anyone breaks into my house while I'm away. Great job!!!!! Feature request: Please have an option to turn on red notification circle on the icon if a push notification is received? That way if I'm away from the phone when a push notification is received I know it happened. I often leave the phone with the home screen on and plugged in for hours when I'm at work, so I rarely see the lock screen. Edit: nevermind, I just went to settings and changed notification to alert instead of banner, which serves the same function. AWESOMENESS

The app works as well as you'd expect. This is one of those companies you never see in any real stores, but you'll find droves of their products in the impulse checkout sections of TJ Maxx and the like. Their products are functional, though the boxes and plastics always look and feel a bit cheap so you're left wondering what you're getting yourself into. Or perhaps I'm projecting. With thy said I went out on a limb and got their smart wall plug on clearance at the aforementioned store and I've just got to say, I'm really impressed with the product and this app! It works smoothly, boots very quickly (which is important for this type of application) and allows for many different functions including time scheduling, power monitoring, and obviously remote power settings. The app could possibly use a little polishing: there are occasional kerning issues and the app crashes if you resume from the app tray, but it opens back up just as quickly as before and causes no real issue. I am so impressed, I ordered another online and plan to get the in-home camera shortly. Xtreme, in case you read this review I apologize for writing your products off due to poor packaging design, stupid company name, and seemingly inferior products. I will never again see your obviously Chinese sweatshop-made plastic phone cases, aluminum foil headphones, or your horribly colored charging cables as fodder for the financially irresponsible, but instead see them as viable options to add a bit of flair into my dull, boring life.

Home automation freak. Finally a app without a hub for all home automation products! Works great, easy to setup and love the products. Must have for every modern home

App not stable and not "Simple"... One of the worst apps for smart home technology out there!!! Anytime you lose internet or power to one of the Simple products, you have to reinstall the device all over again on the app. There is nothing "simple" about it, just very time consuming. Their tech support is terrible, they never answer their phone nor the multiple emails I sent. I am returning my Simple Home Outdoor Camera and going with Ring! Stay away from these products unless you want to spend hours trying to troubleshoot and reinstall!!!

Absolute garbage. This app is garbage. I have the latest iOS and a 6s. The app hasn't been updated since April and scheduling doesn't work (won't save schedules once you close) The app crashes all the time and won't allow you to gang the lights together so that they can be turned on and off with a single switch. Tech support has yet to email me back, so I've returned the lights to the vendor. Avoid this worthless product.

Buggy. Great concept, but needs lots of work. Thought it would be great to have notifications sent to iPhone, but it doesnt work. Even tried with Android. Still no notifications. Please fix this!!! Also crashes constantly. Spend a little time fixing the bugs and you may have a winner.

Piece of junk. This is worst camera ever. Not only you have to go through difficult time to set up, but also connect through this piece of junk software. Always tell me the camera is offline, but why I keep getting motion detection messages? Live stream seems never working even if it said online. I should read reviews first but I buy this crap.

Stay away. It will not work have tried 4 for hour followed the YouTube instructions and nothing. The hard ware my work but there is not software will not run!

Absolutely Terrible. I got one of their multicolor light bulbs, and they just don’t work. I did everything right. I got the app, scanned the QR code, connected to it on my WiFi, and yet it still doesn’t connect. It doesn’t help that you have to sign back in and start all over if you leave the app for more than 10 seconds. I never was able to get it connected. I really hope no one else falls for this sham.

Simple is right. I have the camera and outlet and they work amazing. The app itself is very easy to use and functions as it should. I love that I can watch over my home in real time while I am away. Can't wait to see what they will come out with next.

Need iPad app. Works good on iPhone but settings are limited also works on android tablets but does not work on iPad do iPad app please

Amazingly Simple. Had no issues connecting my simple home products to my app. It worked great over my home wifi and I set up my camera in five minutes. Very happy with my app and products.

Unreliable. Waste of time/money. To start, I read the manual and watched the step by step instructional YouTube video on how to install. Long story short, I spent a significant amount of time trying to connect the security camera without success. There is nothing SIMPLE about this device. The few times I did nearly connect, the CAM wifi network appeared, but it was nonsecure which makes me uncomfortable regarding my internet safety. It's possible that would been resolved had the connection been successful but, IT NEVER CONNECTED. Any POSITIVE review of this product and app is likely from someone who has some kind of stock in this product line.

Lightbulb. Great Products and great for your home

Great app ! simple to use. Just like the name says. It is Simple home. Easy to set up devices . Easy to program schedules and easy to set up interaction between devices.

Disappointing, deleting this app. I purchased this outlet from TJ Maxx for $20. Decided to try it out as a way to turn on and off the light in my bedroom from my iPhone. When you download the app it makes you register with the company and give your email and create a username and password. In addition, you have to verify the email you give them. I tried to add the outlet but the app was having problems. I wasn't able to connect the outlet to the app and after pressing the "+" sign on the app the camera automatically turns on but It didn't have the button to take a picture. The outlet itself is not designed correctly. When you plug something in, you have to use a great force. I wasn't able to fit the plug from my floor lamp. But I was barely able to push in an iPhone usb plug. Needless to say, I'm going to have to return this item. And hope for the best that I don't get spam in my email from this products company.

Great products. These products from simple home are amazing. So easy to set up. Pretty sure that's why it's called "simple" home. I would recommend it to all my friends and family.

So easy!. Made things so easy to set up and control! I use the wall plug to turn off the sound machine in my kids room after they fall asleep. Now I don't have to walk in their room at night and wake them up. Can't wait to add more items to my home.
