What Haapened?. Last storm season this app worked great. Now it doesn't do a thing. What happened??? Update: Bugs issues fixed. Back to the best app ever!! Works better than ever.

I’m on iOS 11 - it tells me to “upgrade” to iOS 10. I’m on iOS 11 - it tells me to “upgrade” to iOS 10. To overlook that when last updating it seems like poor development to me.

What happened?!?!. This app was once amazing, not so much. I have had some awesome lightning pics using this app, but not anymore. Last night I seen some amazing streaks of lightning across the sky and all of my photos were just big white blobs. Please make this the greatest app, again!!!

White bar. This used to be great, suddenly a white bar is showing up.

Horrible. New to iPhone and this app alone makes me regret making the switch. Not sure why this is the only option. Misses a lot of strikes. The ones it does catch are out of focus.

Used to be good. When I bought this app in 2015 it worked great but this year it has been sorry on my iPhone 5. All I get is lots of cloud pictures and very rarely anything in the form of lightning in spite of some very close clear strikes in front of me. I going to the settings and it tells me I need to upgrade to IOS 10.8. I have the latest 10.9. Please fix this.

Not catching it. I have had this app for years. It used to work good and I have some great older lightning pics that are in focus and really beautiful. I’m in the south so the lightning is usually awesome. I don’t know what happened to this app but I used it this year and can no longer use the ‘manual’ setting. Auto setting is not getting lightning, only brightness and a bit out of focus. ‘Large’ lightning setting gets nothing. I did update last year I believe and used it once. But this summer I started using it again a month ago and was surprised I got nothing. Used it tonight and got over 200 photos of no lightning, just bright sky shots. I don’t know what is wrong? Help me out here. I ‘lol check for an update or maybe there is a subscription? All I know is this is now a disappointment.

Question. I have taken some awesome lightning shots with this app. However, lately, what would have been good shots end up with a white band of light obliterating the lightning bolt. It has happened repeatedly. Any solutions?

App No Longer Works Well. I used this app and the previous version for several years and captured stunning photos, but now the app either captures nothing or everything is overexposed.

Wow. I used it a couple of time and caught beautiful pictures. People I showed couldn't believe I used an iPhone to take the images.

Not so good on iPhone 12. This app worked great on my iPhone 8+, but every photo is out of focus and doesn’t take as many photos on iPhone 12. I’ve tried recalibrating focus, but never works.

Designguychris. I'm really impressed with the thought that was put into this app. I left my phone at a window and came back 15 minutes later to five really good photos of lighting in the sky and/or striking. Automatic lightning capture is so much better than me trying to nab a strike with my phone. Nice work!

Great app!. I have been using this app for a while now and it has been very helpful for catching lightning strikes! One main issue is that if i put it on auto, it catches the street lights instead of lightning sometimes. Other than that, it’s a great app and I would recommend this app to anyone!

Way too sensitive to movement. The latest update has the app so sensitive to the slightest movement that even when my truck is not moving and I have my phone in a windshield mount, the vibration from my Diesel engine is enough to make it turn detection off. It really needs to be not be so sensitive to movement. I have also noticed it having artifacts a lot more often compared to older versions. I've gotten some great pics with this app the last few years, but this latest version has left me aggravated much more often than happy with the pictures I have gotten.

Constantly out of focus on 13 pro max. Very frustrating to set it up during a killer lightning storm, have it take 1200 pix and every one is out of focus. App worked great on older phones. They need to optimize for the better cameras.

This app is garbage. I regret paying for this app. I have tried to use it 1000 times and I don’t get any photos. I have tried all the different setting and even auto won’t work. It is garbage. Not even worth one star.

Great. The app is wonderful. Just make sure you have the right settings for the right storm if u don’t pics won’t come out right. Plus phones with better camera fps and quality is a must for this app.

Best app ever. This is far and away, without any doubt the greatest app ever. I have gotten so many great photos of lightning bolts. Many of my photos are so awesome and amazing, and I have several that are just mind blowing. Trust me when I tell you, you will never purchase a better app than the ILIGHTNINGCAM2 APP, it is simply amazing.

Does not work. Afternoon storm. iPhone 7 on tripod . Multiple bright streaks. Just got a couple of shots with bright band across the screen. Very disappointed. Was really looking forward to getting good photos. Glad I only paid 2 bucks.

Nice addition to the "cool apps". This is clearly one of the best apps if you enjoy lightning storms. Start the app, aim and let the magic take place. I have taken lots of great pictures that always impress.

DOES WHAT IT SAYS!. Worth the money... A perfect marriage between the iPhone's camera and it's processing power! Works like magic to get impressive exposures! No hidden snags or shortcomings! Great work on this!

Fantastic App. I used it for the first time at my window and it got three great lightning strikes. I put the phone on a tripod and went out to do my usual lightning videos a few blocks away and came home to find the three pictures. This will enable me to always get lightning pictures when I’m not at home. I highly recommend it!

Great App!. Love this app. I have taken some stunning photos with this app. My only wish is that there were updates for RAW and the UI could use some updates. But I will never delete this app. Hope the team is still out there! Love this app.

Unbelievable app!!. I’m currently on a storm chasing tour. This app is incredible. Amazing lightning shots so easy. Wow!!!

Good at first ... issues now.. I’ve gotten some great lightning pics with this app but it is very glitchy and getting worse. Often I have to delete it, reinstall and restart my phone for it to work. I’ll have a lighting strike clearly within the frame and the app will take 4 pics but capture zippo. Or it will have a weird pink light but no lightning strike which I clearly saw. Again, I’ve gotten some really amazing pics but in 2020 it’s mostly has malfunctioned. Just sat through a major cell with lots of strikes and lots of pics taken and zero lightning.

Downloaded mid storm. Most of the Lightning was above the clouds so many shots were of lit up clouds. However, when the Lightning came down I got some really cool shots. I didn't adjust any settings except to make sure the focus was good, put it on a tripod on my porch and it did great.

App does it all. If you are like me and used to clicking a button to get the lightning shot, this app does it better and faster. I agree with others do not have it in night mode. Once I got the feel for the app, wow the lightning shots are AMAZING!

Great for lightning...not so for fireworks. I use this all the time for lightning photos and minus the rolling shutter which they cannot control, it gets great lightning photos. Can also work for fireworks but getting the settings correct is harder as it triggers on the flash of the payload detonating but it is set to take pictures in quick succession for lightning flashes, but fireworks are slower. The old lightning cam was better at that. Needs an adjustment for the longer time a firework lasts to get more shots of it...maybe instead of 2-4 as fast as possible do 4-8 with quarter to half second intervals.

Fantastic app. Easy to use. Has multiple settings automatic and manual mods. With this app I have been able to take some absolutely fantastic lightning photos, and might I add a couple have been used on the local news station. After years and years of role after role of wasted film with very little success this app truly amazes me Thanks lightning cam

Wow. Works great! Best lightning camera app so far!. This app works great on my iPhone 6. It's quick and easy. Saves at full resolution to my camera roll. And it's full auto which makes this an easy choice if I don't have my DSLR camera handy. Some pics do come out over exposed time to time but that's why it takes bursts photos to cover you on that. This app will snap the pic in milliseconds. So you will get a few pics from one bolt of lightning. I love the option of manual mode also if you need to make your own lighting changes. Beats paying $200+ for those fancy lightning triggers to attach to your DSLRs. So far I like this app and will continue to use it. Works even better with a tripod and smart phone tripod adapter. To keep it from getting blurry from hand held use. Great app! Worth the money!

I absolutely love this app! I've captured amazing lightning pics with this app!. It's incredible how this app makes it possible to capture beautiful, clear shots of lightning! One of my lighting photos was actually shown on a local news channel as their "amazing pic of the day"! Everyone thought that I had used an expensive professional DSLR camera and couldn't believe that I used my iPhone to take the pic. I highly recommend this app, it's the best!

Does a great job!. I get absolutely astonishing pictures with this app, and I haven't even needed to try tweaking anything from the default settings. I set my phone up on a tripod with a camera mount, leave it pointed in the right direction, and the app does the rest.

Sweet. Takes great pictures and in triplicate so you can choose the best one or two you like. Only con is when there are flashes in the clouds, you're getting just a lighted cloud. Other than that it's an amazing app!

Not Perfect, But Cool!. The interface needs a little help, but I can’t believe how good the photos came out on my first try. Amazing.

Does what I could never do but still..... Look I love that this app captures what I never could. I only have one COMPLAINT: why do my pics have a dark gray band across the top????? All captures have it and it ruins what would otherwise be a pristine shot...🤔😕 Fix that or tell me how to and I will change my rating to 5 stars....I am using it on iPhone 6s Plus and it continuously has the gray banding😕😕😕😕😕😕😕

Complete Trash. Had a beautiful lightning storm, tonight. Set this app up on my phone, on a tripod. It missed everything; huge sheets of lightning, multiple strikes, it missed it all.

This thing works!. Downloaded this app mid-storm. The app looks a little funky, but works like a charm! Snaps the Lightning pics automatically and saves them to the camera roll. Exactly what I wanted.

So much fun. This is an amazing app! It's making our southwest monsoon even more enjoyable!

How do I tag the app in social media?. I love this app! I have an iPhone 11 Pro and it works great. This app has worked great for years, since my iPhone 6s. Wish I could support it further by knowing what to tag my photos on social media to bring awareness. SUCH A GOOD APP! I’ve gotten SICK photos with it!

Great app for lightning photos!. Absolutely love this app, been using it for years. Easy to use, takes high quality photos, really cool app! Constantly being updated if there are any small bugs. 10/10

Awesome app. This app is great for capturing lightning. Just used it again tonight and got some great shots. Even made it on the local news.

Great app, freezes though.. After being open for about a minute the app freezes on my iPhone 6s and needs to quit and re-open to work again.

Great App! Nothing like it.. I love this app, it does take a lot of shots that are not lightning and maybe just "flash lightning" but you get a lot of really good lightning shots out of it. Does way better than trying to capture the shots by yourself. I use it on a camera tripod, just point out a window and let the phone do the rest.

iPhone 11 not compatible. This app needs to be adjusted for use on an iPhone 11 pro

This is the best app EVER!. I love this app so much. I’m 12 now and had this app since 2022. I have got great photos and shots. I want more ILightningCam apps in the future. I use a tripod and it works so good. I have the lite version on my iPad and it is not as good, but I like it.😁

The app is perfect!. Very good app design simple and functions well Just grab tripod mount the phone in it and just let app do its job. Simple! Love when the app captures such vivid lightning I don’t know why it is hard for others to use the app

Been using this app since 2012. My ok’ reliable, I have gotten hundreds of amazing shots with this app and I trust it every time to capture incredible shots. Nothing I can complain about in this release, just hope there is an update soon to take advantage of all the higher resolution camera the new iPhones have. Definitely worth the price!

Omg eat dicks. This was great. !!!! A very good app but .!.!.!.! My partner used it for a lot of lighting photos and has the evidence to support it, I just downloaded it and we saw the most amazing storm lighting up the night sky!! And thought oh wow we will be getting this awesome storm..:. Fork lightning and all sorts of lightning WE DIDNT GET ONE LIGHTNING BOLT OF 50 sprays of lightning… we thought oh wow amazing we just got a photo of that Yet we got nothing very sad !!! We are disappointed and disgusted in your APP !!!! 1200 photos on auto pilot and 1 photo of lightning… absolutely disgusting!!!!

Brilliant. I almost feel bad using this app because I get such brilliant results with such little effort. Well worth the money, and very high quality images.

Whaaaaaattt???. Amazing! So easy! I could now pass as a professional photographer! My only problem now is I’m not sure if I can take credit for the photos, like, did I take the photo? Ir was it “Siri”? All I did was point my phone at the storm and sit back! Lol, if technology AI turns on us, it’s because we stole all its credit!!! (P.S: kudos to the app developers!!!)

Absolute rubbish!. Been trying this app out for about a month. We get awesome storms here in QLD but It won't take pictures of lighting bolts if it does I can't see them at all. It comes out like sheet lightning. I've tried different settings nothing helps! I want my money back please!!!

The best I've found so far. Downloaded the lite version first as I was sceptical of what it was claiming once I got my first shots I was convinced. Brought the full version and they are the best photos I've ever captured. Highly recommended this app

Use to be great. Review Update I can officially day I HATE!! this app with a passion. It was once my go to app in storms but now 2 days in a row you’re stupid app screwed me over. Only 2x zoom works the other 2 cameras are blurry meaning the photos are useless just like this app has become. So instead of standing in the middle of a massive storm and getting some awesome images I’m just standing there like a moron using your crappy app. Fix it or refund everyone

This actually works! But need another overhaul.. As far as functionality of this app, it's fantastic! It works exactly as you would expect! My only gripe is that the interface is quite lacking. What I'll love to see an update cleaning this up! Thanks again for this app, love it! 5 stars if you improve the UI.

I miss lightning cam 1. The first version of this app was better in my opinion. I had some amazing captures with it... This one unfortunately has not yield any good pictures yet.

Wow! Fantastic app!. I bought this app about a year ago when we had a storm going past and I was happy with the result I had back then. Now with the latest update it is even better. We recently had a huge lightning storm and The app took over 250 images and close to 30-40 had lightning in them, from small little streaks to one that overexposed. Many very good one. Rest of the pictures were also neat with lit up clouds. I am very happy with the app and recommend it to everyone I know.

Update. Have issue with upgraded (newest) version. Not triggering camera. Checked several different modes, including auto, but camera will not trigger. Previous version worked great.

I got dramatic lightning photos. Worked the settings, used a tripod and got dramatic lightning photos.

oh well. Doesn’t work…tried to email, but no answer. Said I needed to upgrade. Been there, done that. Oh well.

Works great!. When it starts lightning, I fire up this app and I always end up with some very interesting shots. A must have app for a Kansan like myself. Thanks!

Garbage. The original app took great pictures, all I get with this one is bright horizontal lines.

Perfect timing!. The app update popped up during a thunderstorm! Great app anyways, with 5 stars for perfect timing!

Doesn't work. It takes good pictures of everything for me but lightning. I'm using a 6 Plus with ios9.
