Colossal waist of time.. why??. After reading all the poor reviews of this app I went ahead and decided to give it a try. Why did I do this? Well, quite simply because we just paid over one thousand dollars each for a washer and dryer set and I wanted to make sure we were getting all that we paid for. After I down loaded the app and went through the clunky process of registration then pairing (a lot of UI improvements needed here) I finally got to where I was supposed to connect to my home wireless, this is where I was presented with the “free trial” screen.. what a rip off!! After paying over a thousand bucks each for the washer and dryer I have to pay a monthly subscription to connect to mobile device! No way am I subscribing to this tactic to get more money out of me and you shouldn’t either. These models are presented as top of the line but require a subscription to access all its features.. NOPE!!

Huh?. ... why would I turn on the washer, press remote enable and turn set the washer from my phone? I should just stay at the washer and do everything from the machine itself because it’s a waste of time dealing with the glitchy app. The app losing contact with the machine constantly. I won’t be paying for this at all when the free trial is up. It’s not worth the hassle at all. Maybe they will improve the app - by first making it to where you can truly control the washer using the app without the need to first turn the machine on and then press enable ON THE MACHINE! 👀. I can control my thermost via the “FREE” app without being at the thermostat to turn it on and then press another button. Same goes for everything else in my house with an app!

Needs to work with Apple Watch. Like the app. Let’s me know how much time is left in before finishing. The “assign tasks” should send the message when the task actually needs to be done. If I assign the transfer clothes to the dryer task, it sends the task when I assign it and not at the end of the cycle. But my biggest request would be that it would work with my Apple Watch. I don’t carry my phone around the house but do wear my watch. Overall, like the app and my washer!

Why do you make it so hard to operate this thing?. I’ve only had this washer for four days now and I had a one blanket in there not a heavy blanket. I had it on bulky and the thing stopped saying that I had to re-distribute the load. I’ve never had that happen before I didn’t know what to do. I don’t need this. I don’t need this extra technology. Plus the thing said something about I was gonna teach me how to do it. I don’t have time for that. I just wanted to do a load of wash that’s all. I guess I’m gonna have to hire a trainer from your company to come out and teach me how to use this thing. Plus I keep getting codes on the app all day error codes I had to go look at myself on the Internet to find out what they mean you offer nothing nothing education wise nothing at all.

Garbage. I can’t believe a company like whirlpool can put together such a piece of garbage for an app to control an important appliance used in nearly every household in the United States. I just purchased this washing machine, and there was no instructions that came with the washing machine at all to tell me that I needed to connect the washing machine to the app first before trying to operate the machine. The only instructions was to call and register the washing machine. That was the first hurdle. Trying to connect the washer to the Wi-Fi was nearly impossible when setting up this washer because it needed an update to its firmware. The instructions inside the app give little help as to next steps that need to be taken. There’s too many sub menus and no cues on what needs to be touched to proceed. I still haven’t been able to remote enable this washing machine to use a custom cycle. As I said before garbage.

User guide????. We spent a ridiculous amount on a new whirlpool washer and I can’t even figure out how to use it because it does not come with a manual - just an installation guide. So I downloaded the app and …. Same installation guide. I don’t need this app. It is busy and had too many pop ups. It is basically a sales app until i create login credentials. I don’t want to register and create a user id, I just want to do my laundry! Previously we had a Whirlpool that lasted many years, but I won’t be buying this brand again.

Very difficult to connect. Can’t share with family. Even a tec savvy person such as myself had difficulty connecting the appliance to Wi-Fi, adding it to the app, and sharing the appliance with family members. Tried a few times over the last two years . Today, after about an hour, I was finally successful in adding and controlling my appliance with the app. But I still cannot share the appliance with family members. The app will send family member an email invitation but once they click that invitation and the app opens, there is no way to accept or reject the invitation. I can connect anything in about two seconds but not the whirlpool app or the whirlpool appliances, more than a little disappointed.

Awful.. We bought whirlpool appliances because of its reputation for reliability, and you could get parts for it. We have had the repairman out on this range several times already. Most recently, the touch screen will not operate and so we can’t turn the oven on manually. When we try it from the remote, the remote device tells us to “press start on the appliance,“ and it won’t turn on. That means that we, essentially, have no oven. We are having to use the $70 (not whirlpool) air fryer to bail out our multi-thousand dollar appliance investment. We are just through the warranty period but don’t want to give them the business of an extended warranty. Parts are on back order for several weeks, so we are without an oven. We also bought a refrigerator that we are equally unhappy with. It seems strange to me that in what should be a mature appliance, you can’t even get them to work and the repairman knows you by first name. I will say that we are pleased with the over – the – range microwave because it has not caused us any trouble. Yet.

This app is a scam. This app is a scam. The clock on our oven never works reliably. So I thought if I connected it to the oven it could sync its clock time from the internet. To connect the oven to our WiFi it says you have to download the Whirlpool app. The app makes you give them all of your personal information before you can use it: email, address, phone number, everything. Then the app just tells you to manually connect the oven to your WiFi network typing in the password on the little oven screen. And that didn’t work. So i downloaded their crappy app and gave them all of my personal information for nothing.

App not working. I loved this app but after the recent update only my washer works correctly on the app. My dryer shows it’s connected to the Wi-Fi and the remote is on but the start button is grey and won’t allow you to do anything. Hopefully the next update corrects this. I removed the dryer, factory reset it, added it unplugged it the whole 9 yards to no avail. Would give 5 star if it gets fixed.

Remote actions have done issues. Even though the app stated that the dryer had remote start enabled, and I had turned it on on the dryer,There was an issue with having to go back and turn the remote enable back on again, and I finally got my first remote start to work. The app does not say if the dryer of in use. I have already created a Whirlpool account and when I click on a link in the app to look at product information and manuals on Whirlpool‘s website it does not recognize my login. I think that there should be a help area of the app that explains each feature or at least have a working link to your webpage with all of the features laid out.I have not tried the washer yet but I’m already not seeing any options to have the washer control the dryer in terms of the settings needed based on the settings used to wash the clothes.

7/10. I initially thought the app was sleek. At first I could not find where to add a new device. I also had trouble inputting my address. I know my address was correct, it only worked when I disabled wifi & allowed location tracking (annoying/alarming). Why does my washing machine want my location ? After setup I enjoyed using the app. I recommend disabling the requirement to register address in order to use washer & dryers. Overall 7/10.

Can’t create an account. The sign up form doesn’t work. When on the last page to accept the terms, the button has no effect. (Yes I checked the boxes) I even tried to create an account on the website. It worked but in the app, when I enter my email, it doesn’t know that I have an account. And I don’t know how it could work since the restrictions for creating a new password are different on the app and the website (special characters). What’s funny is that if you want to report a bug in the app, you need to be logged in! How ironic! 😀

Useless. Brand new appliances, can’t connect them to the app. It insists on trying to connect the appliance’s WiFi to setup by using the wrong ssid. So it tells me to go look for the ssid in the settings app and it should look like “wp_mac_address_here”. Hey, that exists, so connect to it. Nope… the app tries to connect to MICRW_mac_address_here and lists that as the only option available. Ok, let’s do this manually. Connect to the ssid on my phone or laptop, it works but doesn’t get any dhcp information. Ok, I’ll assign my own network info and visit the webpage to finish setup manually. Nope. Get no response from the page. I give up. Must have some bad firmware, which now that it can’t connect will never be fixed. Probably better off being a manual appliance reading the other horror stories in here.

Convenient. I really like the app. Reminds me when loads are done. I can set more time without multiple trips to basement. I can also remind others to help. The only thing I dislike is I have to quit the app to continue a new task. Inconvenient but not as inconvenient as multiple trips up and down stairs.

Software version 15.0.0 broke my smart oven. After software version 15.0.0 auto installed, my smart oven touch screen became incredibly laggy and takes at least a minute to register a tap. It’s incredibly frustrating. I tried cycling power multiple times and was able to do a factory setting restore. It’s still on 15.0.0 and having the same issue. Customer service says they can’t help and says it needs a technician. It’s a software issue and I suspect they won’t be able to do anything. How can I roll back? Please help.

Less than 6 mos old & not working. Our new washer was purchased because our old one was becoming unreliable... and it has been unreliable and now does not work at all. The cycle starts, then “finishes” happily announcing “cycle complete” within 2-3 minutes. Without having washed a thing. Whirlpools solution was to unplug it then plug it back in again. Which worked the first 15 times this problem occurred. But now doesn’t work. After an hour on the phone with customer service ... again. We have to wait almost 10 days for a service person to be sent out. That appointment window is 8 hours long. To say we are disappointed not only with our purchase, but the customer service too, is an understatement.

Could work a bit better. I’ve been using the app for about a week. I think I like the app, but it could be better. Con: In order to set a remote wash I have to go to the machine, turn it on, and enable remote access…. Is that not the point of the app? The app should allow me to do all of those things REMOTELY! I was excited about this option until I realize had to turn it on every time. Whirlpool, are you all going to fix this? If not, the app is kinda pointless. If I’m already at the machine I can just start it while I’m there. Pro: The notification of a finished cycle is very nice. And the option to send task messages to remind people to empty the washer. Simple to use.

Not Happy. I don’t normally write reviews, but I’m so frustrated with this app, I decided to write one. The washer and dryer work great. It’s the app I’m not liking at all. I just purchased these to replace my GE washer and dryer. I had gotten use to my previous app alerting me to when my laundry starts, time remaining and ending ( smartHQ app). This app only lets you know when the cycle is complete. Also , on this app you have to manually enable the remote feature on your machine each use. I never had to do on my previous app. I’m seriously considering going back to GE. Hopefully, I will adjust.

Washer. This is one of the best washer I have ever had. Nice and roomy. I can remove the agitator when I have delicate and bedding. My favorite feature is when I can control from my phone give me a time how long before the cycle is done. I also have matching dryer. Will most definitely stay with this model. Don’t even look anymore just buy.

But... I really do love this app because it came with my washer and dryer set and it’s pretty decent but I don’t understand how they can say is Wi-Fi controlled when I have to physically touch my dryer when I started from my phone so even if I’m not home. My clothes still won’t start when the physical touch is not available . And sometimes for extra comfort, I usually put my comforters or a big blanket in the dryer and then take it out when it’s hot but sometimes it be taking a long time like these dryer loads literally be longer than an hour like that’s also one thing but I’ll be wishing that it could tell me like if the clothes or the blanket or pillows if they all the way damp or if they dry , they halfway dry before I take them out early so I can use them and I wait a long time! And also add notifications!!!!!!

Cant use App unless updated. Absolutely sick to death of this!! every single time I try to use my oven remotely, it will not allow me to use it unless I update the app. Fine if you want an update but to stop in the app from working unless it is updated every time, is just plain ridiculous.. The point of being able to use it remotely is completely void if every time you go to use it you have to do an update and I’m not on unlimited data, so now I can’t turn my oven on until im home and have WiFi to update the app. So fed up.

Interface Still Glitchy. Washer and Dryer user. Two biggest problems: 1) When a cycle is complete you are forced to follow their workflow (tasks to fold, etc.) but can’t restart a fresh cycle for a little more drying or an extra rinse. 2) Only one person per household can connect or the app crashes BAD. I’ve been using various iterations for a year. Little changes but no big improvements. I’d also make sure the start button isn’t hidden from view while choosing program.

Abuses iOS notifications to advertise. When my dishwasher cycle completes I like to get a notification from the app, because of this I have notifications enabled for the Whirlpool app however Whirlpool abuses this by sending push notifications for deals on products such as “Affresh”. Furthermore they do not offer the ability to opt out of those marketing push notifications. I could disable notifications altogether but then I’d be missing out on the cycle complete notification which is pretty much the only thing that makes it worth it to have the connected appliance in the first place.

Not worth it. Bought machine not even 2 years ago and I have had it serviced 3 times. Good thing I bought the extended warranty!!! 1st it was the water inlet valve needed replaced and also the laundry detergent and fabric softener dispenser wasn’t dispensing fabric softener and dispenser needed replaced. 2nd the machine wasn’t dispensing fabric softener again and the line was clogged and the line needed cleaned. 3rd the dryer fan malfunctioning needed to replace the whole dryer unit the cause was partly from fabric softener clogged up the fan....so was advised for the convenience of using dispenser need to clean dispenser after every use or use 2 in 1 pods.... uhg I disabled the dispenser and now using pods. Very disappointed in this machine.

Impressive washer and dryer. I can’t say enough good things about my new Whirlpool washer and dryer. There’s so many features on both units I really enjoy doing laundry. From the Load & Go feature on the washer to the sanitizing steam feature on the dryer, just to name a few, your laundry is so fresh and clean. In my opinion, Whirlpool has provided the consumer with an excellent product without question. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Wish I could use it with my Apple Watch. I like this app. I just wish that the app was compatible with the Apple Watch. I would rather look at my watch to see that the timer is done then to run to my phone. Plus on the app I wish it would make like a repeating sound because if I don’t look at my phone I won’t see the the notifications… otherwise I do like this app overall.

Awful awful software. Software division of whirlpool needs help. The software is useless in every way. Let’s just give the example to turn on the oven remotely : open app, set to desired function (bake etc) then click start.. should start right??? Oh no !!! Now it tells you You Have To GO to the oven and turn on! I’m sorry what’s the point of having an app on your phone??? Also wifi for other appliances are just as useless! Stop outsourcing your it department. Hire qualified people to take care of the one good name of whirlpool.

Nice app - work on functionality rather than selling appliances.. In Jan I purchased an entire kitchen of appliances. All Whirlpool. At first I did not think I’d use the app but a trip to the store and the realization I could preheat the oven and pop a pizza in- saving many minutes was a great moment. I love the barcode cooking and make good use of it but it’s still limited. I love the air fryer update. I love being in the other room and getting a message that dinner is ready. What I don’t live is the space on the app used for selling another appliance to me. I figure I have what 10 years before replacing any now. If you could take that space and expand on what the appliance features do and how to utilize them I’d love it. The instruction booklet (and online) spend a lot of time on installation and not so much on how to raise the volume of the timer or what all the Melt eye can do.

Awesome!. Well, I just started using it but man it has been helpful and useful to my laundry days. Not losing time on getting laundry out of the way for the next person if you have roommates. I really like how there is other appliances that can connect as well. Having kids I think is so much more beneficial. ☺️💟🙏🏽

Helpful. I first thought an app for appliances seems a bit outlandish. However, now that I have it, I love it! My washer and dryer are not on the main level of my home, so it is helpful to determine when my laundry is done. I also use the load and go feature on my washer. It notifies me when my soap is low, so I can reload it.

App works most of the time lags on time remaining. My wife wanted to upgrade from our lady kenmore series washer and dryer. After about 4 years the control board went out and soap dispenser sensor causing a short to board on the washer followed by main bearings went out, doesn’t really clean clothes well or completely submerge them in water. Now Dryer making a racket now believe it’s on it way out with bearings or idler. Should have kept what we had. Nothing was wrong with them just wanted a new refresh. They don’t make things to last anymore.

Best use of technology!. As someone who easily distracted and end up with a dryer full of wrinkled clothing I absolutely love getting a text when drying is complete! My only negative (and this is a tiny thing) but it would be helpful to get a 5 minute “heads up” but other than that I give this a 10 out of 10.

It’s ok. It’s convenient but the app leaves a lot to be desired. The layout is a mess and very confusing. For some reason my remote enabled option randomly turns off on a regular basis. The oven itself makes the quietest noise to notify when it’s preheated so having the app is a must as it will also notify you on your phone. Ultimately this app is good enough but could use an overhaul to improve the simplicity. Also, the oven clock is far too fast and I’m constantly having to update it in the app to be tied to my phone. That setting randomly changes as well. Just feels like someone overdid the app rather than keeping it straightforward and simple.

App Issues. I like the app because it allows me to do everything from one place, EXCEPT for when I attempt to make a purchase. The darn thing keeps telling me I need to reset my password before using it. I can go in and remote start my oven, etc but I try again to make a purchase and here is the darn message again! Please fix it! If I miss out of the sale on filters and cleaning supplies for my stove I’m going to be a little upset!

WiFi oven?. Great in manual mode, WiFi only works up to 30 feet from the modem/ gateway! I had to buy a range extender, spent hours trying to get it to connect. Spent hours on4 phone calls to Whirlpool. No luck. Called the warrant guys (Solar), they were able to get it working. I’m pretty tech savvy, but not with WiFi extenders. No the all talk to each other! The app is straight forward, and works!

Odd App. I foresee this app causing a few divorces in the future. It seems like it was designed by a disgruntled employee upset with their spouse for always forgetting to do their chores. The fact it gives you the ability to send a list of them via text is crazy. Also, I get a notification when the dryer is completed asking me if I would like to turn on wrinkleguard. But, when I click the notification, it doesn’t give me the option to turn it on. The app needs more functionality. Very barebones.

OK functionality, intrusive ads. This took forever to setup but it is finally working. The load time is really slow but otherwise it does work as intended However the in-app ads are horribly intrusive. When trying to preheat my oven, 25% of my screen is filled with an ad for meat thermometers - and there’s no way to get rid of it. I shouldn’t have to deal with that for appliances I paid for.

Meh. I bought these machines loving the fact that I could schedule loads to be done when I got home…well, not so much any more. I’m no longer given the option of “end time” and when I could it was always off by an hour, because for some reason it doesn’t seem to think central time is well, central time. I wish yall would get rid of the scroll hour nonsense and just let us type in what time we want the load to start OR end! It’s 12:47am my time right now and I can only select up to 11:47 am tomorrow as the start time. No help to me when I get off work at 6pm. So now I have to wait and remember to turn the washer on in the morning before I leave for work and schedule it before it turns off. Yall have added unnecessary difficulties for literally no reason. If these options don’t change, I won’t be sticking with whirlpool appliances in the future. That’s just me

Not accessible to the blind. I recently purchased a home that has the Whirlpool, smart appliance ovens, both upper and lower wall units. I finally got around to linking the ovens to the Whirlpool app and discover that I could not use the app to set oven temperatures and easily turn it off. Plus on the More tab, buttons are not labeled, so I have no idea of what I’m clicking on. In this day & age, it is 2024, all of your apps are supposed to be accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act. as it stands currently, I have to get my teenage daughter to work the ovens so I can cook, which is unacceptable. I am a Voiceover user and I’m currently running iOS 17. review WCAG 2.2 standards to learn how developers can provide equal access to apps and websites so that everyone, including people with disabilities, can have the same basic uses of the products you bring to market. Thanks!

Mid. I'm going to be blunt. All I wanted was for this app to tell me when my washer and dryer were complete and double bonus points if they could set it up so that my Alexa could announce the same thing accordingly. But apparently it's not able to do that. I don't want a system to order more detergent because the detergent I buy isn't available online. I want an announcement to let me know when the dryer in my basement is done because the musical tones that the washer and dryer have aren't loud enough for me to hear and I'm not gonna be able to remember to check.

Fairly useless. Well, it does text me when the dryer is done, so there’s that. But when it does, it asks if I would like to turn on “wrinkle guard”. Why, yes! Clicking the notification opens the app which has not only logged me out, but has forgotten my credentials. When I AM logged in, it’s nice to be able set it up and start/ restart the dryer, but how often do you think someone needs to do that? I mean: I can’t load the washer or dryer when I’m not there. So… The display on the washer frequently tells me remote control is disabled. I press the button on the washer to reenable it, and it tells me I just disabled it…. But it DOES try to he me to buy supplies often. I think that is the main purpose for this gimmicky feature, anyway. If it were simply to notify me of cycle completion, it would have gotten five stars as it does that well. But all the other stuff plus making me log in every time I open the app ? Useless…

Doesnt work on iPhone 12 Pro *update*. **I am updating this review and increasing number of stars because I deleted the app and reinstalled it from the cloud and it works fine now.** I used to like this app but now it immediately shuts down when I try to open it on my new phone. It previously worked fine on my iPhone 8 Plus.

App login update. I don’t mind too much having to log in once a week to start my laundry through the app. But, I do mind when I get a message, washing complete. The app is not clearing out the time so that I can start a new load ( washer or dryer). I have to completely clear out the app and relogin for each load. This is ridiculous! Get it fixed NOW!!!

The worst. when you sign up for the app I’m surprised they don’t ask for your Social Security number, it asks so much unnecessary information. It’s like they saw a news article about data collection and They decided to make their data collection to the max. so unnecessary and such a turn off, I signed up yesterday and received an email today and does not even give me an option to opt out. What a bunch a holes. Also, I enabled remote control from my oven yesterday and figured this would be set for good. I’m now sitting in my bathtub with my food sitting in my oven, ready to cook, and as I go to hit turn on, and it tells me I need to re enable the remote control. What a waste of time.. so, do I like the app? No

Unreliable. For one the OS on the washers and dryers touchscreens are slow as molasses and then all the connectivity issues can take longer getting things reconnected and it’s SSOOOOOO dumb that you need to press a button physically on the machine to be able to remote control. As well it should totally be my option to make the machine just start a cycle again even though it just finished one without needing me to go press the remote control button again it’s all so silly and then the app just constantly signs out of the account it’s soooo frustrating makes me want to create another startup to take on big appliances you’re too rich from these expensive machines to be making such poor quality machines in this modern time.

Slow. App says it allows controlling washer away from home but it actually requires you to physically touch buttons in the washer to start it via app. Defeats the whole purpose of the app. App is also very slow to load and doesn’t update time left properly. Have to quit the app and reopen. Finally trying to set delayed timer is useless as the minutes-wheel doesn’t actually move so you can only set hours. Reported this a year ago go with zero fixes. Next washer won’t be Whirlpool.

Improvements Needed. This app would be great if you could stay connected to your appliance for good. If I don’t act quick enough to add more time the app says it is no longer remote enabled. Then you have to physically go to the machine and do it manually. I also don’t think it’s necessary to send me a notification that it is enabled or not enabled every time the washer/dryer is turned on or off. I have to have notifications on so I can be efficient at getting large amounts of laundry done in a day. Otherwise I would just shut off notifications. I’ll try to see if I can change that again. But seriously, why not just keep connected? What’s the point if you can’t turn your dryer on remotely if you forgot to do it before you came back upstairs?

Absolutely garbage. If I could give it zero stars, I would! At first I didn’t see a need for a washer/dryer app but after trying it out I see it can be rather handy. Unfortunately this app and the actually products are garbage. The washer and dryer are by far the worst designed and poorly executed pieces of junk I own. Waste of money for sure! The app is no different. It is just as unreliable and poorly designed as the junk machines! It’s most basic and simple functions are annoying and overly complicated to use. It crashes every time I use it. You can’t simply just push a button and start a load of clothes. So terribly disappointed!

App has improved greatly. We got a stove several years ago because I liked the idea of being able to preheat the oven remotely. At the time the app was very poorly designed. For example, you had to remotely enable it in advance every time you wanted to use that feature, and the temps were only in Celsius though all my recipes are in Fahrenheit. I just tried it again after giving up on it for several years, and I think this may be a great help in the conundrum of needing to cook dinner and facilitate after school activities (aka, be in two places at once) that we parents know so well. Yay Whirlpool!

Doesn’t work anymore. We switched internet providers and ever since the appliances no longer connect. No matter how many times I try to re set it up

Requires too many permissions for basic tasks. I’m not sure why the app requires constant precise location permission to set up an oven.

Common Whirlpool!. Can’t even make a new account, just tells you to “Sign In” after pressing “Sign Up.” Too bad I need this app to connect my oven to wifi.

New version not working. I locked the range control so my cat doesn’t accidentally presses the screen, but that also means I can’t control the range via the app. This design is dumb.

Unreliable. Sometimes I get push notifications, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I eventually get them, hours later. Sometimes I open the app and it won’t connect to the range. 1/5 experience, cannot count on it, unfortunately.

App never works. Can never use the mode to turn on the oven with the app. It used to work and then quit working a a bit ago and hasn’t worked since.

What?. All-in-one… I do wash cycle only to pull stuff out before running dry cycle. Start dry cycle and an hour or so later get a notification my wash is done. A check shows still going through the cycle, so what the heck was it doing for that hour? We know it certainly wouldn’t be dry, drying always takes hours!

Sometimes works. Not sure what the point to having an app start the oven if you have to go to the oven and press start .... works about 70% of the time. Messes up everything if you have dinner in the oven and are not home... kind of defeats the purpose to the remote access / starting 🤷‍♀️

App crashes. The app worked great for 3 weeks, after I was prompted to run an update the app crashes and will not load in my iPhone. Going to try deleting then reinstalling. Frustrating. Was happy with it until the ‘update’.

Worst excuse for an app imaginable. This horrible app is for convenience, yeah? So I have to press 3 buttons on my washer just to allow the app to work every time the door opens? Apparently you also need to know exactly where it was installed? And as a nice bonus there’s no API or way of accessing the appliance without using this garbage. Don’t get me wrong, I love the washer and dryer. But this awful halfway connected solution is sure as anything not a selling feature.

Software malfunction. Those All-in-one have a lot problems. Sometimes they keep running loop and won’t finish the process. This App help a bit, but nothing more, the hardware & software of the washer is the main problem. Hope Whirlpool can look into their products.

Updated app removed features. The updated app no longer shows you the timer on it like the old version did, the app has always been garbage though, now it’s just a much more smelly gross pile of garbage. Now I can’t start the oven or the microwave from the updated app, it will send the instruction to the appliance, but I have to go to the appliance to start the process, what is even the point of having the app?!?!

Horrible. Won’t allow address to accept therefore cannot add an appliance. Cheap and very crappy app. Don’t waste your time

Pretty good but. The touch screen freezes occasionally on both washer and dryer, which requires a restart and reconnect which is a pain. Very good washing performance but my LG used to be better. Inside of the washer tends to need cleaning more often than my LG used to. Dog hair and fuzz stick to the rubber components a lot more.

Can’t connecy. Can’t connect my brand new microwave even if the microwave “tell me” to use that app… so frustrating!

Good. Why does it stop music when opening it ? When will we have the Alexa Skills in Canada ? Good overall. Could be faster.

Doesn’t stay logged in.. Every time I open the app, I have to login. Once so get in it doesn’t keep my appliances registered.. I have 2 appliances and neither appear automatically. I need to close the app completely, reopen and hope that by restarting it my appliances will be there. 1 out of 3 times it works.

WDT975SAHZ0 adding appliance problems. I have tried many times to add my brand new dishwasher model WDT975SAHZ0 to this application and I succeeded a couple of time. The appliance got and IP address on my local network via the dhcp of the router, but even It succeeds up naming the appliance, it never appear on the application. I was able to register my oven without any problems the first time. That is the reason I gave only 2 stars. Compare to the LG application this one is really poor and bad design.

App won’t let me register. Tried multiple devices and once I get to the last screen to register, it try’s to load and nothing happens. Spent hour on phone trying to talk to support and they transferred me to the wrong person and hung up on me.

No Siri/HomeKit integration. Works decently enough. Missing Siri and HomeKit integration.

No notification sounds. No sounds despite being enabled. Machines have issues connecting to wifi, only devices in the house with issues.

Disconnects all the time horrible app. Deleted and reinstalled now will not let me sign back in i have to recreate my account. Garbage.

Love. Bought my washer and dryer at the brick and in love with them. Love that I can set to wash and dry well I’m at work or even start dryer when leaving work and come home to them still warm to fold and put away :)

Use less. Trie to setup a account and does nothing. Even read all the xtra large attachments and the next button never activated. Troed this severel timeseven with different email accounts. Returning washer to store today

App is Crap. Can’t connect, nothing seems to work. Everyone In my strata has one of these ovens, out of 50 units, no one can get the app to work. Not as easy as they say. Oven is crap too. Can’t keep time, keeps glitching out. Maybe if I could get it connected to the wifi, it could be updated. Too bad that doesn’t seem to be an option,

Whirlpool wall oven. Just bought the wall oven and it’s beautiful. Also cooks really well it’s an amazing oven.

Useful alerts. Great for alerting you when laundry is finished. Have to close/swipe off the app between loads.

Pointless. This app is pointless. Every time I want to use it I have to push “remote enable” on my gas range. It stays enabled for a very short time and then is disabled. What’s the point of a remote app if you have to push a button on the appliance to use it? May as well just turn it on from there.

App is very glitchy. This app is by far the worst amongst all other appliance apps that provide smart features. The app keeps signing out randomly and after every time I have to re sign In the appliances don’t show up so i have to close and re open it for them to show up. Many feature buttons are non responsive and the worst part is it only integrates with Google so i can’t integrate with Apple or other smart ecosystem to use the smart features. Very disappointed with Whirlpool.

Needs more features. Pretty good app, but I only schedule washer and not the dryer. Seems pretty odd to me. Please implement scheduling function for dryers as well. Thank you

Country and language not supported issue. I am getting a country and language not supported issue when I launch the app

TERRIBLE. In Canada here. I have tried everything to connect my smart oven. I have a dedicated 2.4Ghz wifi, tried to turn off everything, rebooted. Oven is connecting to wifi but after the final step of name the appliance, i get back to the home screen. No appliance added. I disconnected and tried more than 10 times. Thinking of returning my smart oven that is not smart. Its not like i am a tech dumb person. Seriously this is an awful first experience with whirlpool.

VERY unreliable!!. After the 5.1.1 update the app doesn’t even load!!! What’s going on at Whirpool? The app and smart whirpool appliances have become VERY unreliable due to all the bugs/glitches! Please fix and/or outsource the development.

Press start on the appliance. Makes 0 sense to have to press a button to start cooking. How are you supposed to pre heat when you’re not near the appliance.

Bad since update. I used to love this app, but since the latest update it won’t work most of the time. It says my oven is not enabled for remote when it is, and my husband and I both used to be able to use it, but it seems now only one phone can. Such a bummer because we were so excited about it. Disappointing.

Yes you can control your washer/dryer BUT….. …. It comes with a price. They’ll try to sell you the moon before you can use the features on the App. It also logs you out ALL THE TIME, so… get past the splash ads….log in to your account…use the app to set your machine, and you realize it took longer than walking over and starting the machine. It’s literally a waste of time.

Never works. In theory, his would be a great feature. Have had it for two years and may have been able to use a handful of times. The connection and remote features are constantly disconnecting. The Alexa abilities rarely work. Too bad. When it does work, it is great. Can never rely on it so we stopped using.

What is the point!. I downloaded the app so I could be notified when the washer/dryer cycles were done. Even on the loudest setting I cannot hear the end of cycle notification. This is one of the many things I hate about this new set. The app seems to track the time of the cycle, and not when the drying cycle actually ends. I see a lot of bad reviews on the app, but the developers do nothing to improve it.

Whirlpool. Good overall performance. One minor complaint: sometimes when you push a button, it doesn’t always respond very quickly.

Washer & Dryer. Well we moved into our and needed appliances so we got a package deal on LG so we went with it. What a Big Mistake!! I’ve only used them a year and have had so many issues. I went out and bought whirlpool was the best decision I could have made. IM IN LOVE!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Data mining. Not everyone wants all of their personal information data mined by companies. It would have been nice to be able to use the app without whirlpool tracking my laundry usage, frequency, load type, water temp, etc.. a simple remote control without tracking would have been a feature. In this case, it was a waste of technology and money.

Connection often drops. So far the remote start has only worked 50% of the time. The machine is all set and connected to my WiFi when I leave home and then will be offline when I go to start it. I’m going to start using the time delay and hopefully have more consistent connection to use remotely

Works fine, but some major annoyances. The app works fine, and I’m able to control my smart oven remotely, which is really nice. But, why does the app stop my currently playing music or podcast whenever I open it? It seems like a very unnecessary problem that should be able to be fixed very easily or at least a setting to turn that off.

Makes life easy. It’s always nice to have a app which takes care of pre heating the appliance to set it ready for cook. And guides cooking many common recipes. What we can expect more.

Problems after only a year. Oven was less than a year old and light feature only works through the app now, tried resetting this feature manually then Through the app to no avail.

App login. App is buggier than all get out. When my washer or dryer finish operating, the stupid app still thinks, no matter how long I wait, that there’s one minute left on the cycle and will not go to a status that reflects my machines finished/ complete mode. I’ve gone through everything - reestablishing - restarting - even clearing out the memories on my machines and establishing new connections. I’m running this current app 6.4.0 yet. It’s still insists that I log out of the app and log back in. Why bother? I’ll just use the manual controls on the machine and not a feature that makes me NOT want to buy other whirlpool machines. Very discouraging.

Range Timer No longer Shows. I’m not sure if deleting an reinstall the app will fix the issue. It’s a pain to do if it won’t work. I thought it was a temporary issue. It seems permanent. Let’s hope the text function works. I deleted and reinstalled the app. Still no timer from stove input to app. If I set the timer on the app, it does show on the app and the range.

Mostly great. I love being able to control the oven remotely and the phone notifications for preheating, timers, etc. But sometimes the oven doesn’t update when I make a change in the app. Also, the app interface seems overly complicated. It could use some UX optimization.

App options. Using the delay start and options through the app on your phone is excellent!

Subscription Services For A Washing Machine?!. I downloaded the app because I thought it would be cool to have the app since the washer we purchased had the option. After I found it required a subscription I deleted the app (yes I know about the free trial). It’s ridiculous. I bought a 2k grill with WiFi and that has no subscription for their app. What can I do on the app that requires a subscription? Order more soap? Change the settings of the washing machine? I guess I’ll be like a caveman and press the buttons on the control instead...

Useless App. All I wanted to do was preheated my oven remotely. Ha! First I’m logged out of my app. Then it takes 4 tries to log in. Will I succeed in preheating my oven? Not with this app. You only ever get 2 preheats. Use them wisely. I know because remote preheating was now disabled. I tried enabling remote in preferences but it always switches to off when I leave. Thanks for nothing Whirlpool. Shame you declined in quality these days.

Apple Watch. I like the app it always works. However, now that I have an Apple Watch I would like to see it available on my watch. Thanks!

Still unreliable. App constantly loses connection to my washer. My prior review on this issue was deleted, so adding again. At least once a month I have to crawl behind my washer, unplug/replug, in order to keep it connected. This is surprisingly faster than deleting and re-adding my Wi-Fi details via front panel on the washer. Power cycling my router does nothing, as the issue is with the washer. Expected better from a brand like Whirlpool, but guess not. I’m off to craw behind my washer AGAIN to power cycle….

Delightful to work with. This oven has been a delight. I love being able to set it from my phone. Headed home from store it can be heating up. Cleans easy. Support has responded when I had a WiFi issue and helped me resolve it quickly.

My whirlpool oven. The app only works 5% of the time. The resume feature after opening the oven to check temp..add ingredients..things of that nature is the most inconvenient..frustrating feature on this oven. I am not impressed with this oven at all. Unfortunately it came with my new build and I am not into spending unnecessary money to replace it, or I would do it in a heart beat!!!!!!!! Do better Whirlpool.

Still bug’ed up after 5 years. Still Missing functionality after 5 years of using it! Looses connection to network monthly and have to delete and restart. Can’t schedule a was more than 5 hours out and can’t schedule at all for favorites/presets. Fan Fresh can’t be set as a default. App not functional updated in 5 years. Looks like Whirlpool outsourced app development on this and now doesn’t know how to maintain and enhance.

Good App - But how about some IOS Widgets. Overall a good app, but like everything there is some rooms for improvement. Recommend iOS widget support for quicker access to equipment status such as washer and Dryer.

Finicky App. I enjoyed the app for the first two weeks I had it with my new dryer. After about two weeks the dryer no longer connects to the app and is an unrecognized device. I don’t get it. Nothing changed. I have spent close to an hour trying to get it reconnected. It’s more frustration than it should be for what it is. So poorly designed. I am not sure if it’s the app or my dryer. Either way they should work together. Just skip the app and go the old fashioned way. This isn’t a smart dryer

Used to be good, now pointless. This app is utterly useless now. It was nice to be able to get notifications and help for my washer, but now I'm just stuck in an endless loop of signing in, then getting prompted to sign in again. No error messages. No emails. No sign of any problem. But as soon as I sign in I'm taken right back to the sign in screen. And the worst part? Submitting a problem report in the app requires you to sign in!!!! Would not recommend to anyone, and will not buy whirlpool again.

Mobile app to tell you your clothes are done. 4/8/25- Still an issue with music. Old- Opening the app silences music. No reason for that. Double or triple notifications for each cycle ending. A lot of “ads” suggesting to buy cleaning or laundry products. I liked it since I always have headphones in but it’s a pain to use. Not sure how this app has 4.7 rating. I’ve contacted help on the app multiple times as well.

Remote enable. Every time you attempt to utilize the app for washing/drying you are directed to go to your machines and enable remote access. What is the point of remote usage if you have to go to your unit to enable it?! Flawed system and thoroughly disappointed!!!

Double push but better than the on-oven screen. The touchscreen on my oven never works when steam hits it. Really an oversight lol. I use the app to do all the functionality. I wish it would only send 1 push notification per event, I always receive two about 1 second apart.

This app stinks, constantly not working…. I’m tired of this app and losing interest in whirlpool overall bc the app stinks so badly. On my phone, it’s always asking me to sign back in before I can do anything, it’s usually easier to just walk to the kitchen and preheat the oven with the buttons. Yet the stupid app still sends me notifications… Minutes after the oven has burnt the food.

Need intermittent notifications for oven on. Can we have an option in the app to set notification alert in case oven is on by mistake? Otherwise it’s great app.

Terrible. The app definitely needs work. It’s convienient…when it works. My washer and dryer are constantly disconnecting and take weeks to reconnect. I like having my favorites set, or to be able to restart the dryer when I’m not near it, etc but half the time even if they are still online, remote enable is off even if I just turned it on. Drives me crazy and I’m about to give up and forget an app for them even exists. I’m just getting a speed queen next time!

Really like it. This was easy to connect and it’s a great way to track what I’m doing. I like the reminders and being able the washer as I’m leaving work so I’m ready to dry when I get home rather than having the clothes sitting in a wet washer all day.

App useless after update. I was really enjoying using the app and getting notifications from my washing machine. But since the update it doesn’t work at all. No notifications, open the app and it says “machine error” but if you click on it it says” no appliance errors at this time” I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it. Same thing. No place to remove the washer and reconnect it that I can find and absolutely no app help to be found anywhere. So disappointed, it was so useful before!

Junk!. Half the functions in the app either don’t work correctly, report incorrect status or settings change back on their own to defaults. The only thing I could get working is my Oven light. Everything else said I needed to enable remote access which was already enabled. Not to mention the issues with the time randomly resetting to Jan 1 12:00 AM. After I connect my wall oven to WiFi it seems to reboot and reset itself.

Kind of works. I can use remote access but there are definitely bugs. It will not connect to Google home even though it says it does. Also the time will not update after daylight savings. No place in the app to manually update time.

What a Time to Be Alive. What? I get notifications when the load is done so I don’t forget about wet clothes?! And I’m able to ensure Wrinkle Shield is turned on even if I’m not home to take the clothes out of the dryer? Doesn’t get any better than this!

Basically useless. The washer can’t be used remotely with the app without physically engaging the washer and it’s not clear how to do this. When I contacted the company for help, they said delete and reload the app. That was the only solution offered - it didn’t work. The app says the washer is dirty when it was cleaned with afresh and with the cycle being sent from my phone to the washer. It’s clear corporate doesn’t put the adequate funds into app development or supporting customer service people. Disappointing.

They broke it …. Signing into this app every single time is absolutely the worst idea ever… it wasn’t like this before… please update the app the keep logging in a singular time.

Whirlpool Washer Dryer need an Update. Good for the most part, however there needs to be a schedule added to operations. If I want to throw my close in the dryer the night before and have a scheduled steam refresh started at 630 so it’s ready for me when I get out of the shower, that would be so helpful.

Double Oven. I love my double ovens! It’s so convenient to start via my mobile devices. Cooking hamburgers in the upper oven and chocolate cookies in the lower is as easy as 1-2-3!!! Thank you Whirlpools for assisting my family each day.

Useless. I was able to connect the appliance to my wifi and app. The app is able to see the device online but continuous to say remote enable is disabled even though it’s clearly enabled. Can’t send any remote commands. Also, I have a microwave and oven combination but the app only shows remote commands to the oven. The microwave doesn’t seem to have any remote commands. Waste of time and money, buy something better like a Samsung.

Trash. The app forgot my oven twice and I had to start from the beginning, I set the temperature and I still had to walk to the oven and push the oven to start. Setting the timer is useless on the app because you still have to put the food in first (since it was preheating) and the oven asks you questions before you put the food in, I don’t want to be questioned I want to make my food. Better done manually.

Washer/Dryer tasks useless. When I assign a task using the app to fold clothes after the dryer is finished drying, I’m invited to enter a phone number to send the message to, and after I enter that phone number, the app sends the message “Dryer is done. Please fold clothes” immediately. The app does not wait until the clothes are dry to send the message. This does not seem to be correct. If this is by design, this feature is beyond completely useless.

Convenience for a working family!. I absolutely love the option to start my oven when I’m close to home, that saves me cooking time for a hungry family after a long day at work and school.

Scan to cook. The app is very successful when it works! It is somewhat clunky and reports errors when they don’t actually happen. It is unclear where the scan function is in a rather confusing display when accessing app. Maybe future generations will be more advanced, and user-friendly.

Worthless app. This app needs all your personal information. First sign in with Google, share your email, type in your address, type in your phone number. Can’t skip any of them. All of it is just fishing for data. After all that and getting the oven itself connected to WiFi, the only thing the remote could do was turn the oven light on and off. It says that you need to enable the remote on the oven controls to control oven temps from the app, so I do, but the app claims that they aren’t enabled. Tried it at the settings menu, Home Screen and power off screen of the oven and at no point would it allow the app to do anything but turn the light on and off. Completely worthless waste of time. Fill out a survey to operate a light switch the hard way.

Inconsistent, slow performance. Very cool features, in particular I like having my oven timer & temperature info accessible on my phone & Apple Watch. Plus it seems easier to browse some of the many pre-set cooking options. Unfortunately connectivity is spotty and often times when I open the app, it just ‘spins’ forever without actually loading a home page.

Continuous Appliance Problems. We received Whirlpool appliances when we bought a new-build home. In the 2 years of since we bought the house, we have replaced the control panel on our wall double oven 3 times and are currently waiting on replacement part #4. It keeps failing. Prior to this, our microwave was replaced 4 times before Whirlpool bought it back. We used to the refund to buy a Frigidaire microwave. Not happy with Whirlpool.

So convenient!. Love using the whirlpool app to preheat my oven before going downstairs or getting home. The app always works well! I also like using the scan barcode feature to have the oven cook frozen foods perfectly and skip the preheating.
