Never Jenn-Air again. I thought I was treating myself to a special stove. The top burners turn on if you lean against the front briefly. The broiler is feeble. The 3 oven racks are best used one at a time, or the fit is too tight. Setting the oven temp is touch and go for it to start , usually requires turning off and on several times, but you never know. Now we have a flashing amber light and noise— which means service is required, the oven won’t work. It’s Sunday evening, no help from Jenn-Air or the usual repair shops. Noise all night long, or shut down electric on the circuit breaker. Man of the house says junk it.
Frustratingly Bad. My jennair range has no electronic controls, only the temp/mode knobs. So to do anything with timers, multi step temperatures, or using the temp probe to auto cook I am forced to use this buggy app. It regularly lesions out of probe mode, changes temp target, and otherwise disconnects. I am so sorry I got this range. It’s barely two years old and I ca not wait to get rid of it. If you are going to insist on having minima controls in the stove, then the app has to work! I didn’t choose the appliances for our house, it was all Jenn air. What a disaster. We already got rid of the fridge thank god. Stove and dishwasher are next
Better but still meh. With version 6, I can finally see the status of my microwave. But the assisted cooking still doesn’t work. It prompts me to add an appliance and then can’t find the microwave that is already visible elsewhere in the app. Please get what was advertised as a key feature of this appliance to work!
Great update. I am the owner of a oven and a dish and this new update helps me a lot. Adding recipes was a great ideea. My wife had a shock yesterday evening when she came from work and the dinner was ready. You just put the ingredients in the oven. tap a button and the wife will be shocked. Keep the good work. finally the app quality matches the appliance quality!
Half baked. Successfully connected appliance to our home network but have never been able to connect the appliance to the JennAir server. We are not alone with this issue. It is just not possible to do so, every other smart device in our home that is non-JennAir branded connects to 3rd party networks without issue. Remote start capabilities of the appliance must be re-enabled manually every time you complete use (remotely or not) of the appliance: which makes no sense at all. If I end up needing to pre-heat my oven and I’m not at home, how am I supposed to manually re-enable remote start from the oven control panel? The point of this feature is to not need to think ahead and plan before you leave the house. Epic failure.
Really Good!. We chose Jenn Air in 2000 for a kitchen renovation. When we renovated again in 2025, it was an easy choice. Even better now. We use the oven like an industrial kitchen. It is amazing. Was in 2000. Even better now in 2025.
Too many glitches in this App!!. I bake bread 3 times a week and have to preheat my oven to 500 degrees, after preheating, I put the bread into the oven and turn it down to 450 degrees. After baking 25 minutes, I need to turn the oven down to 400 degrees and use the timer again for another 20 minutes. This is an impossible process as the oven turns off after the first 25 minutes and after you turn it back on and reset the timer it never works. You have shut everything down and restart it all over. It is annoying!
Doesn’t update. App is ok, but needs improvement. Doesn’t seem to keep proper records of account appliances when you logout or login to your account, for example, didn’t display any of our appliances when I logged in using my new cell phone. Also, it used to give us the ability to turn on/off the oven light from our mobile devices, seems that feature was removed(?).
Love My Jenn. I’m so pleased with this range. I’ve been using it now about a month and its performance has been great. The burners and duel burners and give you just the right temperature. Cooks very evenly. It’s a beast. Four separate grates look indestructible. And they are high so it’s easy to see your flame size. It’s definitely professional, very easy to keep clean and you’ll want to keep this baby clean. It’s too beautiful to let it get built on crud. The oven is spectacular. The sliding racks are a dream—what I always wanted. They make baking, roasting, broiling so much fun and I’ve noticed it’s staying clean and not splattering much. Finally the app, you may have to contact JennAir to get it connected unless you’re advanced in setting up complicated wifi connections. I saved the directions in My Notes on my phone. The app itself could use some improvements but it works for the most part. I’ve had some issues with cook time and it does take some getting use to but now I’m a pro at it. Remember cook time will turn off the oven after it times out. But Kitchen timer works like a regular timer. Gotta go now, the app just let me know the oven is finished preheating. Love this beautiful gem. You will too.
Frustrated - Oven Still Not Working. I have been having oven problems for a few months. Service tech replaced a board($500+). Oven worked two months and then I began getting the same error. Now they want to replace another part at a cost of $1,500, and that MIGHT fix things-no guarantees. They also told me to update software, but neither tech or customer service could get oven connected with the app. I get a firewall error, which they blamed on my mesh router after I confirmed the firewall was off. I have switched out the router (single router, no mesh), confirmed that the firewall is turned off and I am still getting that firewall error. Customer service has now said MAYBE I need to replace the wireless board. Oven shuts down multiple times a day. When it locks up the only solution is to turn the circuit breaker off and on. I have had my Jenn-Air cooktop for 25 years with no problems, but this oven is just 3 years old and Jenn-Air has been no help.
Missing two features. 1. Why can’t I set the probe higher than 185??? I need 205 or 210 for many slow and low meat recipes. 2. Once you turn on the remote control feature, why do I have to keep turning it back on??? Drives me crazy because it’s always off when I actually need the feature.
No Remote Start. The main purpose of buying a WiFi enabled oven for me was that I wanted to turn on the oven remotely to preheat so that the oven is ready when I got home. With this app, apparently you have to plan when you want the remote feature and set it up before you leave the house. If I’m planning my dinner, then I don’t need this feature. The whole point of remote preheating is a last minute change of plans or last minute frozen pizza for dinner and you want the oven ready when you get home. It is very disappointing that it lacks this basic feature. I wish that it had that feature without setting it up on the oven first.
Horrible App. I have a suite of Jenn-Air appliances and none of them will connect to my home wifi on this app. Hours spent on the phone trying to fix it and it still doesn’t work, and I have a state of the art Fios router. That they haven’t improved their app so that the devices can connect LIKE DOZENS OF OTHER DEVICES I use is a complete mystery. These problems began 2 years ago when I bought the house and in that time there has been zero improvement in the app to address these issues
Terrible product...seem behind on IT tech. App is terrible. Bought a brand new range with double oven that most features can only be controlled by app. App only works sporadically and has even blocked me from using the control knobs on the oven! Tried support from Jenn-Air. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes just to be told I would be called back by a different department, then spending an hour on the phone with the next tech to then be told a ‘specialist’ would call me back who never did. App also only has a few recipes and even those are not right. Cooking instructions for two recipes were mixed together. It also doesn’t show you the cooking instructions (how long, etc) in the recipe so you never know how long it will have to bake! Overall terrible product.
Wish the products were as great as the people. I have had JennAir appliances for 1 1/2 years. The products have been a nightmare (several boards and even entire ovens and cooktops replaced) and I invision the day I will enjoy them as they are advertised to be. However, through ALL the mess, the customer service people on the other end of the phone ARE AWESOME. ALWAYS polite, professional and sympathetic. I just spent quite a bit of time with John in WIFI networking (?) and he not only solved my problem but was a delight to talk with. And this is the norm. If the products were as good as the people I would be doing a happy dance in my new kitchen!
Unable to manage devices anymore!. One of the recent updates seems to have removed some devices from being managed anymore and now the app is totally useless to me!! I have a few JennAir appliances which are just 5 yrs old, so surprised/frustrated that they are no longer manageable! Looking for a way to rollback to a prior version to see if I can restore management that way. Very poor technology roadmap!
Shell game. I will never purchase another Jen air product!! I was upsold to this oven at what I used to consider a reputable appliance store. Never again. I’ve had a new computer put in only 1 month after installation. Still doesn’t work, when I get service from the store they say it’s a Jen air issue when I call the customer service at JennAir they first trouble shoot over the phone then send someone out (2 times) and tell my it’s not a JennAir problem. The thing freezes up daily...only way to get it to work is go to the breaker box flip the switch and restart ovens. The remote wi fi has never worked!!! What a scam. Do not purchase this junk even though it looks really cool in the show room. Miserable oven choice
Very intrusive. Not user friendly. Recently bought a new JennAir oven. Tried to link to the app. After handing out way more personal information than needed, (phone#, address, precise location) app still won’t function correctly. I can’t access any of the info without linking my device. The app freezes when I try to add. This was after repeated unnamed errors while trying to register. JennAir wants your money and personal data. They give you a bunch of crap in return.
Nothing functions correctly. We went with top of the line Jenn-Air and bought everything you can think of. It has been a nightmare. 1 year in and not one item connects to the internet for starters. Jenn-air has been zero help. We bought the extra 5 year warranty (thank god) appliance repair has been to our house at least 7 times in the last year.
Can’t find any info!. Bought a house that has several JennAir appliances. I want to find the manuals, especially since I’ve never used a convection over before. The website says to download the app. In the app, my oven/range isn’t listed as an option. Completely frustrating, especially for a high-end brand. I really expected better and was so excited about these appliances.
Doesn’t do much. The app is so “designed” it’s hard to use. The app focuses on smart recipes placing remote appliance management on the third tab. When you get there, there isn’t much to do. For instance, the microwave says “ready to cook. Start on appliance” with no other settings to change. The oven has a bunch of different cooking approaches available but the number entry for cooking time is cumbersome and hard to use. And I would expect the app to manage the settings/tools of the appliance like clock, keypad and personalization but the don’t seem available.
Terrible experience: slow, clunky, not remotely intuitive. - the temp I’ve set my oven to is rarely the temp that displays on the app. - god help you if you have to change the oven temp mid-cycle; the app will self-implode from confusion. - app will show “preheat complete” and then the next time I go to the screen, it’ll say “preheating” and show temp at, say, 185. - even entering the time is confusing. You’d think you’d just type “30” — maybe “3000” — to show 30:00 min of cook time, but you’d be wrong. It shows hh:mm:ss, but you don’t have the option to add seconds — not that you’d need to, but ????? - I just went into the app again. I should be baking at 400; app shows the appliance is “ready to cook.” What the heck? Is my food cooking? Are you serious?? This is literally one of the worst apps I’ve ever seen. Get it together, Jenn-Air. My oven cost $10k. You can get an solid app built for less than that.
Wow they actually listen!. I love this app but the one thing they didn’t have was changing it from Celsius to Fahrenheit for us Americans when choosing the temp. :-) So I emailed the App Support for the suggestion and sure enough a month later it was added! Although I did get better at Celsius conversion. Not sure if it was my email in particular, but I’m glad someone added that feature and I appreciate it. Thank you!!!
New Appliances. Absolutely in love with my new Jenn Air appliances. The sleekness and style made my kitchen a discussion topic for all my guest who continue to ask me about them. The usability of the app for monitoring or starting the appliances has been great so far! Looking forward to many years of great meals!
Provides useful information but is NOT AppleHome system compatible.. Provides useful information but is NOT an AppleHome system compatible machine; only works with Alexa system. Therefore, if you are an Apple system’s owner like me, you won’t find any real use for this app; except for the service contact info. This app really rates only 2-1/2 stars.
Unchanged. The stupid JennAir oven range that came with my spec house purchase, doesn’t have a visible temperature display so I need to use this app. The problem is, this stupid app will not allow the oven range to be visible with other members of my family like my wife. We can see we each have access to the account but the app will not allow discovery outside of one user. Worthless.
Terrible. Terrible app. The only reason I wanted it is so I can remote start the oven when I’m leaving the store so it’s ready for cooking when I get home. However, ANY time you open the oven door it automatically turns OFF the remote start feature. So unless you remember to turn the remote feature on directly on the oven before you leave your house, you can never use this feature. I cannot fathom any reason why they would set it up this way. I just turned the remote start “on” on the unit. But now I need to cook in the oven so I’m opening the door and that’s going to turn it back off again. Absolutely ridiculous!
Basically useless. Of all smart appliance apps I have, this one is probably the most useless. It gives me a little beep on my phone when the oven is done preheating, but all I’ve found helpful. If I want to get up in the morning and preheat the oven for those cinnamon rolls I have rising in the fridge, I have to trek downstairs to push a button on the oven first. Theoretically, you can set it the night before so you can use the phone, but any one using the microwave (like kids) will remove the setting. There is also no option to see the timer or know if it’s gone off. I think they have an app for the sake of having one, but they have no idea what to do with it.
Rise refrigerator keeps defaulting to lock controls in app. Wanted to link to wifi via app. Linked successfully but the app keeps “locking controls” so I can’t adjust on the refrigerator or in app. I toggle to try urn it off but it toggles back on repeatedly. Won’t make ice or dispense water at all when control lock is turned on but it turns on repeatedly through app even when I turn it off. Had to remove my appliance from the app just so fridge would function. So annoying.
Jennair. There is absolutely no reason that you can only control the temp on your Jennair range with an app. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I would not have bought this range had I known that. Not only is it completely unnecessary but when you try to connect your appliance it doesn’t work so you have to call. I’m f course I did this on the weekend when I had time to deal with this and there is no one to talk to. An absolute waste of time and energy for nothing.
Can’t manage basic functions and timers. It’s unfortunate that we did not read the reviews here prior to purchasing an entire suite of JennAire appliances for our kitchen. Nevermind that the back order on our fridge has been pushed month over month, the controls for our range, dishwasher, and convection microwave could not be clunkier. I’ve never had appliances where an instruction manual was required to operate basic functions. Without a simple timer on the range, the app becomes an important component in a basic cook. The app is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. To say it’s confusing wouldn’t do it justice. Trying to set a simple two step cook was not possible due to bugs. The time and temperature options kept resetting to defaults. After giving up on programming a multi-step cook, we reverted back to physical controls on the range, where the start button flashed continuously without starting the oven. Back to the app... we finally managed to start the oven from the app, but there is no clear way to tell what the current temperature setting are. These appliances look great, but are literally the least functional we’ve ever owned or used. Incredible that the could be so bad at these price points!!
Zero stars, do not recommend. Was pretty excited about the possibilities of this app, but it is a complete let down. I regularly have issues where temperatures set on the oven are not reflected and synced to the app. There is no timer function within the app, so you have to bounce out into a separate app to setup any cook times. I have yet to understand the recipes in the app. They don’t display the full recipe nor do they setup the appropriate cook times for you. Overall the UIX is clunky. At times you have to scroll to find buttons. Navigation is not intuitive.
Barely functional. For a smart appliance that doesn’t display a temperature, the app and appliance WiFi and smart capabilities are a big fat zero! Power goes out, get ready to have to setup WiFi again - if you remember how. If your the only one in your house that knows how to even try, good luck if your out of town. And sure you can preheat it to a general but not “specific” temperature using your oven, but if you don’t hear the beep when it’s done preheatong - you’ll never know if it’s preheated or not without changing the temperature and then changing back. The app doesn’t integrate with Alexa or Google - no matter what they tell you…The apps can’t even do a temp check if you do get the skill to work. Most regretful appliance purchase in my life
Most recent version is poor. App gets stuck in a loop and says my appliances are not connected. They connect successfully to WiFi but the app doesn’t recognize them as being connected. App keeps saying they are disconnected. Now I cannot use any functionality through the app since I’m stuck in endless cycle of thinking the appliances are disconnected when they’re not.
Big Disappointment. The double wall oven I have is great, but the remote connectivity, app and Alexa integration are a huge disappointment. You have to constantly re-enable remote/mobile controls. By constantly, I mean every single time you open an oven door. So unless you hit re-enable each and every time the door opens you can’t use the smart WiFi integration. It’s truly a waste of a feature and added expense.
App not integrated. My click on my appliance and it shows me to request service and I click on that window. It does not automatically generate my model or serial number from the page which I just click off of so it’s not integrated with the unit so I have to memorize or write down my unit number and my all the other information model number serial number, because I can’t even copy and paste from your app to the service request
App doesn’t connect! Basic features only in App!. A really expensive appliance which has most of the oven’s basic features like exact temperature, preheat settings, and cooking timers only accessible in the app. I have followed all of the directions to connect the app, including contacting customer service that sent me directions for a workaround that also did not work and was complicated. If you’re going to make an appliance that has basic features only accessible in your app, your app has to be a lot better!!! Unacceptable for such an expensive appliance!
Total junk. This is why I hate smart appliances. There is no way to use the oven timer or control the oven probe except through the app. Well, the timer on the app is a piece of junk. Half the time it won’t engage at all, and the other half it starts but stops counting down as soon as the phone screen times out or when you use any other app on your phone. Also, there is no way to cancel the timer and start over; you have to turn the oven off and start again. Even then, the timer doesn’t really reset; it’s still in the background somewhere running (or not running— just suspended in time). I deeply regret buying this range and would not have done so had I realized I would need a smart app to actually use it.
Outstanding product, too modern approach. I have a range oven model w220 it’s magnificent. You have absolutely no material to reference it’s use or function. I have to scour the internet now and expose myself to others for help. Which can leave me open to trolls or worse. I love Jenn Air. I despise this modern age of dispensable living.
No instructions. First in the instruction manual you’re only instruction for getting an app is “get the app. Not the name of the app. Not where to find it. Then it has no instruction of how to do anything and I suppose to young people figure it out, but it would be nice for them to give a little heads up. Turn this touch that. I don’t know how to see what temperature my oven is at. I don’t know what the shimmering circle means. I wish I hadn’t bought the stove.
Worse unusable app. This App does nothing -no idea the purpose other than customer identity gathering Doesn’t update recipes, doesn’t adjust to seasonal time changes, doesn’t keep time accurately or even update digital tools pic options-which of course is not my highest priority I’ve never even had an app update in 4 1/2 years What is the purpose of the app? If starting your oven remotely good luck-wouldn’t trust it
NEW RELEASE DOSENT ALLOW CUSTOM TEMP. I’ve been using this app for a year and generally the functionality is pretty terrible, but at least I could manually specify what temperature I want my oven at as bread baking requires specific temperatures, now with this new app update I am stuck at what is on the dials as opposed to sending a custom temperature to the oven. Totally disappointed in this update. Please allow the functionality to manually input temperature back.
Potential but Very Buggy. App routinely fails to detect the probe which should be one of the most useful features to monitor cooking status. Have reported it a few times but still persists. App is a great idea and is laid out nice but has routine connectivity issues with the probe even though it is on our network. We’ve tried everything, even deleting and re-adding the oven to the app. Hoping this can be fixed, app has great potential.
Buggy and counterintuitive to use.. There’s some basic functionally that works, such as setting the temp on the appliances, lights on and off, etc. but the app is such a chore to use because of bugs and terrible navigation that I don’t bother First the temperature probes don’t update. You need to force close the app and reload it to get food temperature. Navigation is also a bit clunky and options that would intuitively take you back to a previous screen or menu turn off your appliances (why would cancel in a menu turn off my oven?!). The labeling just doesn’t make sense and the usability just isn’t there. EDIT: so wanted to update my review and say it’s actually even worse to use than I previously thought. The black typing on a 90% gray background was the most ignorant UI design ever made. When the app loses connection to an appliance it just keeps looping a screen to “check firewall” and the try again or call support buttons just kick you back to the Home Screen. Do the idiot developers who made this app even know what a firewall is because not only do my other Jenn air appliances still work but the ones that don’t can clearly talk to the internet when they do firmware checks and auto update the clock. Way to go guys, you managed to make a one star app even worse!
Frustrated with application update/new issues. After the Jenn-air application update 2 weeks ago I have been having several issues. Images for some appliances were gone and all appliances were offline/not connected. After powering off and restarting iPhone, was able to get some appliances back online, connected and operating property but not all. Then with latest application update to fix bugs, i now have to re-logon every day despite selecting “stay logged in”. I also still have a constant spinning dial when I select ovens and there still is no image of my ovens.
No JennAir cooking Guidance. I just purchased FOUR new JennAir appliances and am at a loss to find cooking help, guides, recipes….anything outside of their very high level and not much help generic User Manual. I downloaded this app only to find out that my microwave model is not supported by it. Models apparently must be WiFi compatible which mine is not. I have been unable to find anything from JennAir with any reasonable support information to help learn how to use this built in microwave and convection oven with speed cook that is supposed to broil, bake, roast, etc. Is there ANYWHERE to get Jenn Air help??? What is the point of having all this functionality if it takes me forever just to figure out how to use it? So disappointed.
8k oven won’t connect to WiFi or app. Oven and app worked fine for 10 months and just stopped working. For troubleshooting the app was deleted, deleted the oven from the app, unplugged the range/oven, attempted to reinstall the oven to the app….. Nothing, reported the bug, followed troubleshooting guide. If I wanted an oven without this feature, I could have paid 6k less. $8,000 and work for less than a year
Most expensive junk ever. The app is just the icing on top of the most frustrating appliances I’ve ever owned. The oven chimes randomly when nobody is using it, shuts off randomly when someone is, the app asks me to sign in over and over even when I ask to remember me. Sure it’s a first world problem, but after dropping $15,000 on a range, I kinda expected it to actually work. The fridge chimes every single time you open the door, with no option to turn it off. Yet there is an option to turn the chime off for the control pad buttons that are basically never used. Completely pointless and designed by people who have no business designing consumer products.
Don’t buy a JennAir 27 inch oven - no support. JennAir doesn’t support its 27 inch ovens and when you call to see if they can at least provide you with a PDF or any guidance about the recipes on the app for your model they tell you that the 27 inch oven is cheaper than the 30 inch and therefore they don’t give you any recipes or guidance. So spending $5k on an appliance doesn’t entitle you to the ability to access recipes on their app or any workaround to help you know how to use the oven and the different cooking functions. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and ridiculous that viewing their app recipes isn’t available on all ovens. They should make it clear before purchase that your $5k purchase is not enough for them to want to provide any service or guidance to you before you spend money with their company. We cannot use the app, have zero guidance, and will not be buying other JennAir appliances.
Add Live Activities Support! Works well for the most part. Barring a few connection issues with our oven from time to time, the app works well. Would be great to add support for live activities so we could track our preheat progress, or check in on other status updates.

Absolute Useless. Unable to pair range after multiple attempts over multiple days. Was finally able to pair fridge after the hours of attempts. Only to find that changes made in the app rarely find their way to the fridge. And Jenn Air support hours are limited to weekdays, business hours. Would expect better performance and customer service from the appliances and supporting software given the investment I have made. Frustrating to say the least.
So many bugs. Hard to use
Probe Cook Doesn’t Work. Whenever I try to use the probe cook the meat probe temperature never updates. Only way to see what the meat temperature is at is to cancel and restart the oven.
Such a capricious app.. Not impressed at all with its connectivity. Actually embarrassing. Technically 0 stars.

Buggy App. Update Oct 11th 2018 Looks like the latest update has addressed the light issue. The unit is working fine now Update June 18 2018 My comment #1 is still happening. My post below is from Dec. Customer service says they are aware of the issue and that engineers are working on it. The last time the oven light was on for a week! The recommendation is to unscrew the lamp until a fix is available. Wall oven combo speed oven/ microwave - 10k sweet! I have the double oven with speed oven micro combo on the top. This app seems to have many bugs when trying to operate it. 1. I’ve arrived home to find my oven light on yet I have not turned it on 2. The earlier version of this app didn’t show the speed oven/ micro combo, only the regular oven 3. The updated app now shows the micro wave as running but it is not. Also you can’t control it either it just shows the flames on the screen indicating the micro is running. 4. The timer function setting on the regular oven adds 5hrs to the time you set. For example, if you want 12min for cookies you get 5hrs and 12min. Trying to edit the timer doesn’t work, after choosing 0hrs & 12min and selecting done, the app again shows 5hrs & 12min
Not user friendly. Trying to sign up, app won’t accept info entered and won’t tell me why it won’t let me submit info.
Data entry buggy.. Trying to enter in information to the app and I can’t enter a phone number. So much for having a communication access……
Not a very intuitive app... Make great appliances but bad when it comes creating a user friendly app..
Connection. Doesn’t connect at all
This app used to be good. This app used to be good, one of my favorites. Now it is constantly logging me out and disconnecting my stove so I cannot operate it from the app. I have tried many attempts to reconnect it and I cannot for the life of me get it to work. I don’t know what changed with this app, but please fix it!!!!
I hate this. Worst buy ever
Will not let me register. I’ve gotten the “System Alert! Something went wrong, please try again later” error every freaking time I’ve used this app. It is hot garbage and not even close to “Perfection”. All I want to do is make the fridge reset the “Replace Water Filter” warning and change from Fahrenheit to Celsius. Apparently you can’t do it directly on the fridge. I would not buy or recommend this brand of fridge because of that, and the impossibility of using the app to do so!
Do your research. Terrible app. Won’t connect to server. JennAir can’t keep up with the updates (iOS). Terrible company to deal with. I’m on my third dishwasher in 4 months (the final one being a Bosch) and my oven has never connected. These are NOT high end appliances. I wish I knew 6 months ago what I know now. Do your research because JennAir won’t take responsibility for any issue. They are constantly blaming internet connection/wifi or power problems to be the underlying issue.
Terrible. I cannot connect to my appliance since having service on it. Waiting on hold with service for 45 min and still no resolve. Terrible customer service

Doesn't work. What's the point of having a remote start when you have to go to the oven to press start?!? Too bad nothing from Jenn-air works the way it's supposed to.
John W. Wow new double wall oven. Paid more for wifi access. App does not work. Even with remote start “turned on” it will not let me start the oven through the app. It sets the temp and time but then asks me to press the start button on the oven. What’s the point in that? Lots of other little bugs too many to mention. For a “high end” expensive appliance this is very frustrating and does not reflect well in the brand.
Terrible Privacy. I just spent a lot of money on a high end Jennair Stove and now the company needs my full name, address and precise location. In my mind this is completely unacceptable. Name and address I can spoof but not location. Devs, explain why you need location services to be enabled for this app to work. I am extremely disappointed in Jennair. I’m losing oven functionality in order to protect my privacy.
Infringing on personal data. It is unacceptable that your app is willing to put your users private data at risk for no reason. Why would this app require my stove’s precise location with no option to opt out? In this time where corporate data breaches and info sharing is common, this is unacceptable. Also, this is not a bug but a feature your developers created - please read these comments and address them in here.
Error. Always see error message when trying to send something
Difficult to use. Wall oven is connected to the app and I can set temperatures etc, but the assisted cooking feature doesn’t recognize the oven is connected and just gives me a message that it can’t find any appliances. Would love to be able to use the assisted cooking feature. STAY AWAY FROM JENN AIR. Have had this wall oven for 3 months and the microwave has stopped working. Scheduled repair and waited for 4 hours, but no one came and no one called. Called them to find out what is going on and only answer was to reschedule so I could spend another 4 hours waiting and hoping. The customer service rep said they couldn’t do anything because they send everything to a third party. So they won’t take responsibility for their own service. I wish I had never bought Jenn Air, every product I own has been disappointing. Save the pointless response here. A company that really cares would contact me after not living up to their promises.
Jennair Wall Oven. Love the remote accessibility but don’t love the fact that you need to set it up before you leave the house. I’d like the option to turn it on at anytime - particularly when you’re running behind and therefore it’s unexpected that you want to preheat.
Adding a new device unit not easy. Adding Wi-Fi device connections horrible.
Too many production bugs. Seems like iterative development at the expense of quality. Example: App = 450 deg, Range = 325 deg. and I can’t tell which is telling the truth. Since the app is an integral part of the overall experience it needs to be treated that way... not just as an afterthought.
Not working any longer. OMG! This app has nothing but bugs. Since it has t been working, my oven light no longer mysteriously turns on in the night. It would be great if the app worked. All my appliances have issues and in just two short years, I’m replacing the refrigerator, oven and dishwasher.
Can’t change temperature unit. Get a System Error alert when changing the temperature unit in the app for my refrigerator.
Pretty buggy. Sometimes the app needs cook times, sometimes not. Sometimes shows oven temperature, sometimes not. Often when you put in the cook time, say 2 hours, it starts and shows 1 hr and 35 mins. Needs some work.
Finicky. I wish you could keep oven on through the app when you have multiple batches. After one batch, the timer shuts off but you can’t reset the timer again unless you turn off, reheat, and start over the app is not well done. Sometimes I just want an old fashioned timer on the oven so I don’t have to work with this feature.
Useless. I can find my own recipes, otherwise it provides no useful information
Doesn't work. I have 55 connected devices in my house. All easy to connect. The Jennair app is buggy. Very poorly laid out. Poor instructions. So much for "perfection". That's a marketing hack for people For a $6000 appliance I expect more. A $20 Amazon device works better. Oh .... and here comes the "cut and paste" response

Oven issues. App issues. I read about the light problem. I have the same problem. I can come into the kitchen in the morning and the oven is off but the light is on and hot as - well hot. Sometimes I can get it to go off by turning the oven on then off. Sometimes not. The new app is also a problem. It thinks the oven is off line but the oven says it is connected. I can't use the app now with the oven. One less working feature. I have had the system board replaced and still have issues. Meat probe says food is cooked minutes after it being inserted. I turn the oven off then back on and start again and it may last longer and actually cook the food. Be cautious. Seems lots of problems for an expensive wall oven.
Garbage. How can a 1 yr old appliance worth 7 grand constantly not light and preheat properly. Low end quality for high end price

It’s garbage. The app does not refresh time/heat properly. Cooking modes don’t update the oven properly. What a let down. You have to quit and open the app to get a proper reading. The worst part OSs the oven itself is a brutal experience to try and vaccinate the sluggish touch screen. Regrets.

Alexa Canada. Not sure why the Alexa skill doesn’t work in Canada and why there isn’t a camera in the oven.
Terrible. Basically doesn’t work. So very frustrating. This was a selling point that made me pay $15000 for an appliance group and it’s a dismal failure. Pick another brand if connectivity is one of your goals
Would not connect. Maybe it’s a good app, but not for me. The dishwasher that I have that is wifi enabled would not connect. So therefore I’m giving a one star as I can’t give a zero.
Latest update destroyed my range's wifi modem. Thanks for rendering my 2.5 year old, JUST out of warranty, $8,000 range partially inoperative.
Very Poor App. Every week I get disconnected from this stove and it takes several tries to restore the connection. Sometimes I just give up. I split the home network to include a 2.4GHz network. The router is literally on the other side of the stove. Next purchase will not be a JennAir.
No complaints. Works well. Able to start/stop the oven as required and see current temperature whilst preheating.

Doesn’t even start from the app. Why can’t you start the dishwasher from the app? Doesn’t seem right to only be able to program and then not start it.
Joy of cooking. I have never loved cooking as matter of fact I have always seen it as a chore, but with the app and recipes at my fingertips it’s been fun and helpful. Love love love

Won’t connect. We have a new JA dishwasher. Followed all the steps and it keeps saying at the last connection step “successfully added”. Except it does not show up. Reset and tried 3 times. Still not showing up. Very buggy and unreliable
Rarely works correctly. This app and the 48” duel duel range is a huge disappointment. I can’t wait until I can get rid of this. Unfortunately a 14k range isn’t easy to replace quickly. Biggest piece of junk I’ve ever owned.
Unhappy. The latest update signed me out. Now I can’t connect. What’s the point? Both the range and the app have been frustratingly unuseful. I thought I was splurging on a quality product. Whoever designed it never cooked a day in their life. Trash.
When It Works. The application could be fantastic if it worked 100% of the time. My account is constantly disassociated and I have to manually add each appliance back each time I want to use the application, which results in me hardly ever using it.
Doesn’t work well. Got new fridge have used before still buggy I’ve added the appliance and when i click finish it reverts to the “add appliance screen” and the appliance is not listed on the account.

Not user friendly. Once the oven is connected to router, it then takes an app on a smart phone to maybe register with the jennair server. Doesn’t stay connected and you need to retry. Once the app is installed on your phone, and you register it after 8 tries, it doesnt seem to let you do anything. Stupid app and oven interface. Not at all user friendly.
Useless. Can’t get passed entering my phone number. The error message says “Phone number must be 10 digits”. Guess what? My number Is 10 digits l! So that’s it? I can’t even add my appliance. This is my inexcusable for such an expensive appliance. Get with it Jenn-air!
Cleans Nicely & Great Support. My dishwasher panel wouldn’t connect to the internet so I called JennAir / Whirlpool and they shipped out a new panel and had someone install it. Now it works. Great customer support to resolve the issue.
The app is junk. After downloading the app, I couldn’t get past the point of entering my phone number, which I did, but the app keept throwing an error that I need to put 10-12 digit number - which I did. Nope - still a no go for the app. And that’s where it all ended. Mind-blowing that for a such an expensive suite of appliances, the company can’t even get a simple app working.
App fixes. I have had stoves that worked just fine for 30 years. I haven’t yet used my new one once and it already had bugs that needed to be fixed. Luckily it is “back online”. What a relief. I would prefer that it just work fine without the fix.
48” Jenn air. We had a 48” Monogram for 10 years. Bought the 48” Jenn air, and it has been a major let down. It burns everything that we have cooked for years the exact same way. The timer is not easy to use, so we set a timer on Alexa when we cook. The gas grill, unbelievably does not have an adjustment. We have yet to find anything that works good on this appliance.
Meh…. Clunky, buggy, and really doesn’t serve any purpose. The biggest benefit is delay cooking, but you don’t have the full 24 hours to actually set this. Buy a Sub Zero or stick with basic Kitchenaid appliances. These appliances aren’t worth the premium attached to the brand.
App won’t let me set up an account. I have been trying for two days to set up an account through the app with no luck. Every time I enter my info the app gives me a notification that there is a technical difficulty and to try again later.
Horribly flaky. This is a completely flaky app. There’s a complicated state machine that doesn’t work intuitively if at all. It won’t accept commands I enter. It always chooses a different option, like bake, instead of steam. Just complete junk.
Beware - oven doesn’t connect to Internet to receive critical updates. Numerous issues with this oven that are supposedly fixed with a firmware update. Problem is we can’t seem to connect the oven to the Internet. Just google “JennAir oven Internet” or read some other reviews. No problems connecting to the oven via the app but the oven fails to connect to the JennAir server and as such can never update.
HATE THIS OVEN. Brand new and didn’t work in our newly built house. Appliance store we bought it from cane out and could not tell us how to work the oven. JennAir came out and decided that a new mother board for Wi-Fi was needed. JennAir people came back out and couldn’t figure out how to take off the front to replace the board. 2 months without a working oven in a new house through the holidays.... NO NEED FOR WI-FI ON AN OVEN!!!!
WiFi is terrible. The WiFi feature of JennAir is among the worst I’ve EVER worked with. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy based on the illusion the WiFi will work. The Next smoke alarm is within 6’ of the oven and works perfectly, the oven “sees” the network but refuses to connect. Perhaps the issue iS with the JennAir server; not sure. In any event the WiFi features is a waste of money.
Juvenile UI and capabilities. 2025 model features regressed from previous model. Yes it bakes. Every oven does that. How about the convenience and cool features that are no longer available. Display themes used to have seasonal and holiday image graphics. Now we get cabbage and lizard scales. No ability to change clock face to analog. Sound volume at max is barely audible.
Very difficult to operate. My two ovens don't show up in the app and I can never be able to turn on the oven. When I try to add the oven to the app, it says my ovens are already added. I don't know what to do and I have not been using this oven for almost 6 months..
The service and quality is terrible. The app is tolerable, the appliances marginally attach to the app esp the dishwasher. The all appliances themselves have required service calls for major issues. I would be hard pressed to recommend JennAir at this point as the service reporting requires a separate service visits for each error. I have a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove top, microwave, wall oven and refrigerator and beverage center. There is no reason why service calls are needed for appliances used for less than a month.
Crashing with iOS 15. The app has been crashing when trying to open in iOS 15. Please fix.
Application made by Fisher-Price. Jenn-air can’t update app without losing your login info. Still doesn’t support biometric, you have to know your model numbers by heart to reconfigure so frequently, and they respond quicker to the App Store feedback than their support will get back to you.
Great app but. I love this app other than the fact that I have to re-log in every time! Even though I’ve selected for it to remember me, I have to enter my email and password every time.

Temp probe not working on app. App worked fine for the first year and now the temperature does not rise on the app when using the probe . I have to keep editing and opening to get updates.
Great oven but app and wifi needs work. Device registration and app connection to phone does not work well. Great phone support but too complex, doesn’t reconnect to wifi after power outage and needs setup again, which is clunky at best
Timer function not user friendly. Time function doesn’t work intuitively as a matter of fact, I can’t seem to get it to work at all
Major disappointment. Requiring an app to know the temp of an oven is absurd. Requiring everyone in the home to have the app to operate the oven is also absurd. Knowing what I now know about this expensive over causes me to steer clear of Jenair for future purchases
Does give enough info. It said I can use WiFi to control my appliance. However the app only shows Alexa. Does not say if this is the only way or not. I’ll be deleting h to be app
Can get much better. The app always disconnects after a few days and I need to log in again. Why the oven only in 25 degrees increments. Not very intuitive. I had a much cheaper Cafe oven that their app was much better and user friendly.
If I could give zero stars I would. They make you turn on location services, list your home address, phone number, etc. absolutely ridiculous. Will be deleting and never buying their products again.
Oven wont connect. I’ve registered it, connected it successfully to wifi, tried adding and deleting the oven from the app, still wont work remotely. It even says “ready to cook” , but it wont operate remotely. Useless, false advertisement.
Timer glitches. It can be difficult to set and start the timer. Repetition and even restarting the oven is often required. Otherwise, very convenient for temperature monitoring and the turn off feature is cool.
Jenn Air App. Allows you to control your refrigerator, it does Not allow you to monitor it. In other words you can set the temp, you just cannot tell what it’s running at. Poor! You also cannot setup triggers if it gets to warm to notify you….it stops working. Useless app as I would never change the temp.
Pointless app. App is terrible. You spend 10-15 minutes connecting/ setting up a dishwasher within the app. once you’ve finally completed, app shows no appliances linked. Tried setting my dishwasher up 3 times with no luck.
Very buggy and unreliable. The oven frequently disconnects from the network or from JennAir. It often recently has suffered a power outage and had to recycle. This is a very difficult machine and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Unable to add most devices. The models are fixed to select while adding devices and none of them fit ours from 2019. Moreover 1) there scan doesn’t work without selecting the above, 2) there is no way to automatically see the devices we own, which jennair should have a list of 3) there is no way to check extended warranty
Menu display gone. I loved my other range I had prior to this one This new one no longer has the display on the range so you can’t select the preferences you want I loved the slow cook which I can’t find on this one I hate that they expect you to relay in a phone!! Put the display back!!
Freezer and fridge controls are flipped. Have a jffcc72ehl03 and the app has the controls swapped. Freezer has the fridge temps and vice versa for the fridge. One place for manuals and support is nice though.
Disconnected and won’t reconnect. This application worked for a few weeks then seems like it no longer supports the range we are using. Very disappointing considering the ovens performance was already questionable.

No user guide for the use of the functions. I love Jen air products BUT there is no guide on how to use the settings/functions of the range. Their website says to find the guide on the app. It is not there. Can’t find it any where.
Not good. After owning our oven for a year still full of bugs. Software errors, network connection errors, app sometimes works though app and oven shows not connected. Very disappointing.
Constantly Logged out. When this app works, it’s terrific. Unfortunately my app requires me to log in every single time, despite always checking “keep me logged in” it’s a massive inconvenience and needs to be fixed. Aside from that, it’s great, but they need to get this resolved.
No appliances listed. Nothing shows up when I add appliance. $4000 oven and can’t get a working app lol.
