Probe cooking waste of time. The absolute worst app why even have it, basically it’s only good for turning on and off. You put the probe in it says you have to take it out but then when you don’t have the probe in and you want to cook with the probe it says you don’t have the probe in. Then when you try to set your food temperature, it won’t stay at the setting that you want and it doesn’t track it so what is the point? And this is with the app update it’s always been awful KitchenAid do better.

Very Flawed App. I created a review citing numerous issues with the app. KitchenAid responded to one of the issues and deleted my review. So putting in a new review. I guess they assume their answer resolved my issue. I had stated that the probe wasn’t working. The response I received from KitchenAid was that I should start the oven in probe mode. This requires a target temperature which stops cooking once a probe temperature is reached. My question is why? What if I just want to monitor the temperature manually. Seems silly to force me into a different cooking mode just to use the probe. App is also confusing because it told me to plug the probe in AFTER the operation started. Why? I wasn’t using the PROBE operation so it should just ignore it. The app also showed that the probe was plugged in and displayed the probe temperature dial that was spinning with no reading. That seemed to indicate that the probe was plugged in correctly but not functioning. Poorly designed software that is obsessed with controlling this function. A further issue I mentioned was that the oven showed it was preheating continuously. The dial on the range went from red to white indicating preheating was done. So the software was failing to recognize that.

Absolute garbage. Never stays connected. Oven itself constantly freezes or restarts. No way of restarting the oven without the circuit breaker which then you have to redo all your settings. Can we just get an oven the cooks effortlessly and stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Had I know this oven was connected to app i would have never bought it. Stay away. Utter rubbish.

I am getting errors about file name is not in the list. I made an account and add my range to the list Frost after that my smart commercial range didn’t go further. And today I just wanted to try another time it gives me an error which your name is not in file list! So disappointed I bought this range only for smart part!!!!

App connects but doesn’t show temp changes. I had no problem configuring this app with my network and range (KFGC506JSS) but once I start a cook cycle, it shows current oven and probe temps once but then NEVER UPDATES the temp readings. I have to cancel the cycle, program the cycle again, press start on the oven, and then I get updated temps, and then it’s locked again. Have to repeat this every few minutes to see current probe temp. Also, the app notifies me that oven has reached the set temp, but the app still shows it’s in preheat mode. There’s no excuse for not putting oven and probe displays directly on the oven itself - you can’t see the temps without the app and the app doesn’t work. Construction took too long so now it’s too late to return this range.

Terrible app!!. UPDATE: This app is getting worse, not better. I realized that I was no longer getting notifications that cycles had completed (which is basically all I use the app for anymore…everything else is unstable or useless) so I go to check the app. App tells me the oven is offline. Go through the process to reconnect (app directions and oven directions don’t match by the way). Oven tells me that it’s connected to the internet & KitchenAid. App tells me that it can’t connect to the oven and to check my firewall or call support. STUPID!!! Tried removing the appliance from the app and re-adding it. Same problem. Deleted the app from my phone, re-downloaded it and tried again, same problem. All the problems from my original review still stand, nothing has been fixed and now it’s even worse. Don’t buy this oven if the app is something you are interested in. ORIGINAL: I like my new KitchenAid combo wall oven. Tons of fun features and it works and looks great. This review is for the app though because I do have a problem with that (though maybe it’s an oven issue and not the fault of the app? I don’t know). The status of the microwave in the app is always getting out of sync with what’s actually going on. It could have been hours since the microwave was last used but the app always thinks that it’s still running. The only way I’ve found to fix this (and it only works about half the time) is to open the app, leave it on the home screen (where you can select oven or microwave), run a short cycle on the microwave and then make sure I open and close the microwave door. That seems to push an update to the app. If I select the microwave from the home screen (which brings up the incorrect timer) and do this process, it doesn’t work. So the app has this timer running…and it seems to me that even if the app and the microwave lost their connection to each other, the app should assume that once the timer in the app is done, the microwave is no longer running. Instead, the app timer keeps resetting itself if I go in and out of the microwave screen and even if I sit there and watch it finish, it still says the microwave is running and I have to do that janky process to get it reset. If this is an app issue, I hope you all can figure that out. If it’s a hardware problem with the oven, I hope this review will get passed on to the hardware team and maybe they can fix it with a software update.

Cannot set up app. I cannot save my profile in the app and cannot proceed any further. The save button is grayed our despite all sections being filled Called your help line 50 min wait. The. They said I have to connect to the cdn side. Estimated wait time is 59 mins. Then I have to transfer back to the American side. Awesome app and service !!! Not really. By the way. I already did reach out to you. And after reaching the candidate side after 90 mins. They said they could not help me and said I had to call the line in your generic responses to everyone that comments here .

Notifications not working. I have registered my 48” range twice and when I try and turn notifications on I receive an error message that I have to register my product to use notifications. It’s very frustrating to not be able to use the app as intended.

App is confusing, so is oven and instructions. Where to begin? Setting it up on your network is a mishmash of conflicting and overlapping app prompts and a hullabaloo of flashing lights. It is disappointingly averse to 5GHz networks, despite these being commonplace in 2022 The app fails to do what the range itself spectacularly fails to do - inform the user if it’s current state! How hot is it now, what temperature is is set to. Basic demands on any thermostatically controlled appliance - unfulfilled! Instead, it bleats on about cycles and modes as if the makers had never baked a chicken, ever. The oven itself likes to beep and beep agin, inscrutably. Undoubtedly pretty, but fails to meet basic expectations.

Terrible start. Been downloaded for 5 minutes and I already want to delete it. Disappointed, had much higher expectations, this ap must be designed to strictly get access to your information, if they actually cared it would be marginally useful to use after downloading.

Has Potential - But new app teething problems. I’m not sure if this was in a rush to get out. Some features could be useful but don’t work. For example, when remotely trying. To set the oven, the cooking modes are locked as Bake and you can’t change the temperature. Just needs a thorough review of all features for workability.

Why won’t it keep me logged in?. Seriously it logs me out every time I close my app!!! And it doesn’t even save my information despite me saying “keep me logged in” so I have to type in my entire email address and password every time. Why is there no functionality that actually works to save my login information or at least give me the option to use face ID for a quicker login. This issue makes the app totally inconvenient and no more easier than me walking up to my oven and turning it on.

They keep switching the which oven side is which.. I thought it was all in my head until I started taking screen shots. What used to turn on the right side now turns on the left and vice versa. Then when I get used to that configuration, it switches again! I end preheating the wrong oven which throws everything off. Christmas breakfast turned into Christmas lunch. The oven focused on in the middle of the app should correlate with oven that it turns on. Quit messing with it please.

Microwave. It has a ton of features but glitches ALL the time. I don’t use the toast or air fry or oven settings. Microwave works ok. Took us almost a year to figure out how to use. There are very little instructions. Sometimes the more bells and whistles the worse something is and that saying is accurate with this product. Do not waste your money. You will still need your toaster or air fryer

Unreliable App: Frustration Guaranteed. I rarely leave online reviews (especially for an app), but felt compelled to do so for this one. I waited a little more than a year after first downloading and using this app to write this quick review. Last year I purchased an electric model KitchenAid Smart Oven (Model # KOSE900HSS00) for my new home. The actual oven is fantastic: it cooks better than any electric oven I’ve ever used before (including the higher-end Wolf brand), its screen is vibrant and thoughtfully laid out, and the attachments are awesome. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for this app. It seems like KitchenAid put the cart before the horse with this one. Over the past year the App has signed me out of my account more times than I can remember. It also frequently freezes up and quits unexpectedly. Buyer beware: do not by a KitchenAid appliance if you’re counting on them delivering a reliable, industry-leading application to support your major appliance.

Don’t count on the notifications. After two days I’ve received notifications on average about 45 minutes after the event. So don’t walk away expecting your phone to let you know when it’s time to take the cookies out; you’ll have very crispy cookies if you can’t hear the local oven timer.

App is terrible. App used to constantly read oven was running. That has been solved with the latest update. Now, when trying to remotely start oven, you have to scroll sideways in increments of 1 degree at a time starting at 325. It’s easier to walk in the kitchen and type in the temperature. Whoever thought this was an improvement should have to endure weekly colonoscopies for eternity.

White screen. My 36” range is online. I can confirm that both connecting itntraditionally and manually and see it on my network. The WiFi led is fully illuminated. The process of connecting it to the internet was successful. THE PROBLEM: claiming the appliance in the app. I can’t get anything past entering the SAID and MAC ID. It just goes to a blank white screen on the phone and won’t do anything. If I try the process all over and hard reset the WiFi connection and reset the network recognition and re-ping the appliance I have one shot to get the actual status bar to show but then it times out and I’m back where I was. Supreme annoyance for an expensive appliance.

Commercial stove. The app never works. You can’t adjust it down below 125 medim rate or rare temps-The probe never works. Had to replace it three times you can’t turn the oven off when you started with your phone which is a hazard and there’s no timer to turn the oven off it’s just awful I would never recommend the stove to anybody. Plus you can’t preheat or delay start oven. Worst product! Kitchenaid should be ashamed! Sad what our products are coming to.

Oven is great app is horrible!!. Same as all the other issues oven works great app is absolutely garbage. Probe not working at all. Oven temperature sporadically works. Can turn it on from app but no temperature displays. Upgraded to this oven as the WiFi and app capabilities. Worse part is reading the reviews same issues for the past 4 years with same canned response. Still in my first 30 days so thinking of returning it. Paid for an updated appliance to work with Smart device and no luck. Should not be selling as a Smart oven when it does not work.

Great app but. Love the app. It has been working great for us. Only suggestion is we had a faulty motherboard an now my account shows 2 wall ovens. Wish there was a way to remove the defective motherboard S A I D.

Customer Service Rep unable to answer question.. I called KitchenAid’s customer service number to find out if my dishwasher will remove E.Coli bacteria when the Sani Rise cycle is selected. To begin with Barbara in Tennessee said “Wow, that’s a good question. I’ve never been asked that before.” Then she proceeded to give me an answer that was exactly as it reads in the manual which still doesn’t answer the question about the Sani Rinse removing E.Coli. Sigh.

App not intuitive at all. Keep saying press start button I don’t know if they mean on the app or on the stove. Tried to use it while I was away to preheat the oven and it turns out I had to enable the remote from the stove itself. Very confusing. Also took forever to set up. Would not recognize my Wi-Fi. I finally realized that I had to separate dual bands on my router because the router was automatically choosing 5g vs 2.4.

A little disappointing. The app and the oven operations are not really very useful. You never really know about these things until you try them for yourself. By far, the best feature of the app is the ability to link it to a more general purpose app like Alexa. This offers the ability to use voice commands which are simplistic but effective - especially remotely. The app itself is tedious to start, log in and utilize. And only a small portion of it is useful for controlling the appliance. The rest is for shopping for more appliances and account maintenance, etc - these kinds of things just get in the way when all you want to do is turn the oven on. If I’m home, it’s more convenient to just use the controls directly. These things should be broken out better. I could have purchased the same oven stack, without the connectivity, for considerably less money. I don’t think the benefits of the connectivity offered justify that huge price differential for very little benefit. Not even close. The greatest disappointment to me , believe it or not, is the inability to do simple internet related things, which should be the very basic functionality with a connected app. For example, the app / appliance can’t use the internet time service to set the clock. This is really basic functionality. Part of my big gripe is that all these kinds of appliance all have their own clocks. They all have to be manually set or reset every time there’s any kind of power glitch or daylight savings time changes occur. No two clocks are ever the same when set manually, and it becomes annoying (to me anyway) to have all these clocks glowing away, wasting energy, and no two ever display gf same thing. Another simple thing would be to be able to download a background pic. Thecapplisnce gone with a few not very imaginative ones. Loading a new one from a library or a custom one should be another simple action completely overlooked by the manufacturer. And we’re not even talking about real functionality. Things like downloading a recipe and automatically cooking (following) it. With built in sensors, et al. My Traeger BBQ grill can do that and more, at approx 10% of the price for this oven stack. Time for some innovation and value to be added, Mr. KitchenAid, or Whirlpool, or whoever you are behind the scenes. Get out of old think and into something a LOT more useful. You’re certainly charging enough for those kinds of capabilities already. Step it up!

Failure. Oven dial light come on every 30 seconds and blinks yellow and ding dings. I don’t see anything in manual about a yellow light. Online help not available. Broil feature has never worked - we’ve had stove for 30 days - requested service and have scheduled - couldn’t get service for over 3 weeks! Earliest available and closest service company is out of state! This is worse counter service I have ever encountered!

Terrible UI/UX. It took me maybe 10-20 attempts to get the app working. After that I was able to remotely start the oven but it’s such a terrible app to use. Buggy, slow, confusing. They should remove all these extra features and make oven temp set and start remotely with notifications. I can’t get notifications working, some cryptic error shows up.

Useless. After multiple failed loads and retries on this very slow app I finally set up my account, only to find that it only supports ranges, ovens and cooktops, and apparently only smart devices too - not my dishwasher, which is what I need it for. Kitchenaid points you to this app to register your appliance and schedule service, but there’s no apparent way to do that. Big waste of time.

Works like a charm. It took a bit to set up but this app does great. It gives you more options from your ovens especially in the warming mode where you can choose multiple warming temps.

Such a simple UI fix, please!. Please… 1. When I’m trying to turn the oven on from my phone, I cannot see the ‘start’ button without scrolling. 2. But, you don’t indicate that I need to scroll. I have 100% faith that if you did testing on this page, you would find that nobody automatically scrolls to look for the button as everyone taps “bake” at the top 😅 To solve: - remove the “save as favorite” button (as there is already a favorite button at top of screen) - so that the “bake” button is visible.

Functional, intuitive initial offering.. Needs to fill out some features. Example - door ‘not shut’ feedback is currently not included. Dynamic temperature change not available.

Can’t connect. I would like to rate this app, but I have been unable to connect to WiFi. It appears to time out before it connects. Update, the recent update to the app aloud me to connect and so far everything seems to be working well.

Oven features unusable because of this app. Clunky, slow and faulty. Hours spent loading app, signing in (u have to re-enter password manually every time?!) and getting my oven connected. When it works, there are long delays between entering commands in app and oven response. All I can get thru the app is current temp of oven. I can’t enter a new desired temp or control anything but the oven light. But what’s driving me crazy is that on my new oven the built in meat temp probe can only be used thru the app (no controls or displays on the unit itself). The app shows that the probe is connected, but registers an unchanging temp of 32! No option appears to set the desired food temp (the whole point of an electronic probe.) KitchenAid website has no support beyond what’s in the printed manual. The section of the website for help on mobile app features is literally blank.

Keep Me Signed In!!!!!. Why must I keep having to sign in by inputting my login and password?!?! It doesn’t matter if I have checked “Keep me signed in” or not, I still have to input my login info. This makes using the app less appealing and for the Wifi enabled 48 inch range, you really need to use the app to get full use of the features and settings. Please fix this!

A lot of work to do. I wanted to love this remote ability, but the oven consistently disconnects or becomes disabled for remote use. We were particularly interested in the probe, but the same as user enuf18, we have a problem where it only shows 32/30 degrees F. So it’s basically useless.

Went to site , started my age , kitchen aid had 3 party to contact me wanted me to upload my personal information get the heck out of here, do they don’t no right to ask for personal information, purchased 5 quart mixer returning as soon as possible. Please, post, share this 3 times emailed me upload my documents yea right kitchen aid emails ,unsubscribe I will not remove until the email stops.

KitchenAid Range/ Oven. Pros: Nice fit and finish. Above normal BTUs. Great simmer option. Nice beginning for WiFi control app. Cons: Certainly should have a ‘door open’ indicator. Should enable information and control thru internet conected app .

Sign in is broken. I love the potential for the app but it’s driving me nuts. I have to sign into this thing every single day and sometimes even during the day. I click the box to say “remember me” but it doesn’t. At least my password is in my keychain so after I hand type in my email address I can click on passwords and keychain does the rest. I’m not doing my banking here folks. It’s just an oven. No need for the Fort Knox security treatment.

Don’t bother. One of the most pointless apps I’ve ever seen. For example the timer counts to zero but does not chime or vibrate to let you know the time has expired. Why bother? It’ll send a push notification when the unit is turned on, and show me which burners are on, but I can’t turn them off or change settings. Why bother? The only feature that might be useful is being able to remotely lock the controls - but it’s just not worth the trouble.

Oven temp control. Please update the temperature slider on oven control so it is in increments of 5 degrees. Going from the default 350 to 425 is a lot of swiping. When you don’t swipe straight you have to start over. It is the only frustrating thing that I found in the app.

I have never gotten this app to work.. I have never once been able to use this app to see the temp of my probe and change the heat correctly. The first year of using the app it crashed and at one point would not let me sign in for months without reloading; then would forget my name and password constantly. Now I log in and cannot navigate the probe temperature or set a schedule for my cook times not even trust the temp shown on the screen as it’s been preheating for several hours now in app, while I’ve checked the oven and know it’s at full temp. Having this bee so unreliable and unstable is disappointing and irresponsible.

Awesome new version. Look and feel is much better, experience is simple and intuitive. Awesome job! Loved it

KitchenAid Stove. Love the basic stove. Hate the crummy software and the poor app. You can’t see the temperature except on your phone. No timer unless you control the oven via phone. Router has to be within 30 feet of the stove - would have been nice if that was in their literature. It would have been easy when the house was being built. Customer service is extremely poor. Hour waits then have to get transferred elsewhere for another hour for software help. Then they acted like we were the first people ever to hate their crummy software design. Wouldn’t buy this again as is. Would happily buy again if they went back to the design with a panel for controls so we didn’t have to use the app.

Latest redesign is terrible. WHY did you switch us to having to scroll through the temperatures HORIZONTALLY? Just let users type in the temperature like before. This feels like intentionally bad design.

The app works, but .... My range did connect to WiFi although I had to try several times before it connected. I am not having the connection/crashing issues that others have reported. App is cool although all you can do is turn the oven off and on and turn on the oven light. The timer on the app would be helpful if it audibly notified you when it’s done. All that happens now is that you get a pop up notification on your device. If you are not looking at your device, you miss the notification. I think this needs to be tweaked to actually be a helpful timer.

App is terrible. I have the kitchenaid 48” range - they took away the display and replaced it with a terrible app. So you can turn on the ovens but the timer which is kind of key for baking doesn’t create audible beeps on the stove, doesn’t beep on your phone, and the notification doesn’t appear when the phone is idle - even though those settings are all engaged in the app setting console. I know when I’m baking the last thing I want to do is touch my phone and I sure don’t want to carry it around waiting for the alarm to beep. Terrible decision to remove timer from range and replace it with software that doesn’t perform basic functions.

Not able to add household members. I only connected via WiFi so me and my household could get alerts due to the very quiet oven tone on its timers. There is no easy way to add a HH member except to have them log in with my id (which I don’t want them to have access to).

App doesn’t remember me. Every time I use the app I have to login even though I have marked the keep me logged in box. Also, app doesn’t interface with iOS so it requires you to manually enter your email and won’t save your password to your phone. I tried the timer feature once, but there’s no alert when the time runs out, so it’s easier to use phone or microwave timer.

Complete garbage. Does not connect to my “smart” oven even though my phone and oven are connected to my WiFi just fine. I get the feeling this app was either someone’s summer intern project or it was farmed out to the lowest bid. A shame because for the premium paid for a “smart” appliance, you would think they would have an app that actually works.

Totally disgusted. Bought $10,000 oven and nobody can fix it.. Buying a $10,000 commercial range expecting to be able to use it fir Christmas family reunion in our new home. They have sent two techs out to fix it. First one said he gave up because tech support wouldn’t help him unless he got over into diagnostic mode. He couldn’t get it into diagnostic mode so he could get no help from tech support. He left frustrated and told me good luck. Local dealer sent another guy out. He worked over an hour. Then he left and said he would have to come back after Christmas.

Cant login !. Just purchases a pro range.Wonderfull range by the way. However Really need to use app to set cooking timer but after creating my account still cant login . Basically it does not finish the process of registration. In my opinion this app should not bound to registration and should work offline with WIFI. Problem sign in . Try again later. This need to be fixed. I called customer support hope this resolve soon.

new user. I had a little bit of issue connecting my oven but got it working and now is the best and most convenient thing I’ve ever had

Horrible. App is useless. Have deleted it. Stove beeps at random times and is driving me crazy. Company I bought it from sent tech to look at it and basically said don’t know what is the problem.

Login annoying!. This app requires me to log in every time I use it. Completely useless and inconvenient. How about you update the app so people can actually use it.

Fine. The app is a bit glitchy but overall it’s functionality is useful but limited. The biggest limitation and disappointment is when using the built in meat probe function. Often the probe cannot be detected by the app and therefore, since the probe reading is only available through the app, both the probe and the app are useless for this feature...which happened to be a key selling feature for me. Sadly, no resolution from Kitchen Aid. So I use a $30 meat probe from Amazon instead of the one built in on my $6k range. Thanks!

Doesn’t work. They made it way more complicated than necessary and in the end it does not work. Do not waste your time.

Instructions not clear and cryptic messages. Over instructions in the app are not clear and don’t seems to flow. Also sending cryptic messages when something is wrong Can’t find a way to turn appliance off or cancel an action.

Still horrible. 3 years later I thought I’d try this app again. Still frustratingly horrible, and this is coming from someone who builds digital platforms for a living. Just as disappointing as their products.

App with probe sucks. I have a commercial grade KitchenAid stove. Has no display. When cooking with convection roast probe function,btw very cumbersome, app display freezes so you have have no idea what is happening with my food. I am now using my meater probe with its app.big fail

Kitchen aid app. The kitchen aid app is not very good. Cannot change temperature once it has started. Terrible user interface.

Can’t even save my address. In order to enter an appliance I have to put my address. It won’t let me even put in my address?!

Terrible oven. Purchase 36” gas range and it lasted around 6 months. Oven won’t heat, 2 of our burner grates have cracked, it’s incredibly poorly designed for cleaning the top of the range. The only positive was because there was support and no parts availability they gave us out money back. Downside of that is the price of the range went up around $1000. Definitely not buying another one this time around. I was able to source parts that were compatible but it didn’t solve the problem.

Not good. It’s a brutal site

Glitchy and faulty. Really poor experience. Always slow, glitchy, clunky, and has now caused a connectivity issue with my range. Avoid.

Awful app. Does not remember credentials so you have to type everything every time. Also, no Alexa support.

Burner unsafe and burn and fire hazard. Our brand new kitchen aid 36” gas range is so unsafe to use. It’s front two burners one on right and one on left turns on after 20 seconds delay leaving huge blast of flame and causing burning and fire hazard. The technician once came to replace it but now even worsts than before. It has been already a month and haven’t heard from them yet. So not impressed with service and range.

Useless app. I don’t understand why roasting doesn’t have a preheat before starting cook time? It is very inconvenient when you get use to baking this way. Should be the same across the board.

Glitch. Can’t get past the pairing screen. It will scan the code on the side of the oven, but then gets stuck on the following screen. Infinite red circle. Tried for 4 days now and no luck.

When will this App perform like the Appliance?!?. For over 2 years I have used the App EXCLUSIVELY with my Kitchenaid commercial oven. Totally hooked on both technology and cooking, I want the full experience. The App has actually gone downhill. It now requires at least 3 shutdowns to view progress throughout the cook. And I mean 15 shutdowns for every meal! Really not worthy of the oven or the Kitchenaid name!!!

App no longer works. The app was working fine. Today may 27 2024 I updated the app and now it no longer controls my appliance. It keeps saying press to start and nothing happens

Not stable. Every time I want to use it the able says lost connection and you have to go through the entire setup process to setup the stove

Barely works. This app will tell you when your oven is preheated, but almost every other part of it is buggy and poor. Even switching between cook modes gives me weird errors, and half the time I can’t tell what it’s actually doing.

Can’t Connect. Have tried everything and unable to connect including inputting SAID and MAC manually. My router has smart steering ( both 2.4 and 5G) even entered MAC for stove as 2.4. Can’t set router only to 2.4 for network as would impact all devices on network. For all the hype about being Smart Wifi it is sure dumb and not easy. Also tag with QR located in awkward position to scan so moved to make scanning easier. Other than this love my new stove

Not a great app. For a simple App, getting the appliance connected to our WI-FI was terrible. Support from Kitchenaid was non existent! Not a great app. Not intuitive at all. The app doesn’t have a lot of programmability. I miss my Electrolux and the perfect turkey setting amongst other options

App review. Easy to connect app to appliance. Not the smoothest app to be able to connect the app to be able to use your app to turn on Appliances

Good stove terrible app. I really like my range. I only installed the app so I could use the temperature probe, but the app randomly kicks me out and then tells me I don’t exist, and the temperature probe doesn’t work, and since connecting the smart range to my WiFi, it occasionally decides not to start when I push the start button. I’ve managed to get round that each time so far. Definitely need to make the app better or give up on smart appliances.

KitchenAid App. This app sucks. I scan my 48” gas stove QR and tried manually entering info to no avail. Get use my WiFi feature for $10,000 plus stove. Super disapointed.

Can’t Log In. Can’t review the app. I can’t log in.

Not the best. Delivery took months considering Covid - understandable. We had great difficulty connecting the range at first having to call support numerous times. Now the meat probe does not work. The disappointing part is you can only use the probe through the app. Wow Kitchenaid I expect a lot more after spending this amount of money on your range. I will look at other alternatives next time.

App needs work. App definitely not user friendly to setup. Would not accept my preferred email so I used alternate and it worked. From there easy to setup. BUT first time I tried to use it I can’t turn it off? Keeps giving me messages that it cannot connect. Pretty unsafe to be able to turn on but no easy shutoff function? Love the range though.

Not good for serious cooks. inability to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit Unable to set precise temperatures, eg 360 Timers not trusted, dont get set, no feedback while cooking, even google home integration fails after successful sign in

Horrible. Won’t let you log in. Deleted and reinstalled and still nothing. At one point I did get a confirmation email....but still nothing. Needs to be fixed so we can connect to our oven. Update...was finally able to log into the app after many many attempts. The notifications are nice about temp and cooking mode....but the timer is useless. If you leave the app in the background to check your mail for example the timer stops and only starts again once back in the app. Not so helpful. This app needs a whole bunch of changes before upgrading from 1 Star. The commercial style range however has been amazing.

New update removed hood light color control on the otc microwave ? What happened?. This for the the Kitchenaid over the range microwave. Hood light color control does not work from this app. When you sleect it it just has an empty bubble.

Garbage. Great stove that requires an app for timer and temp prob. Guess what both don’t work. Just fix the garbage app or hardware. $4000 useless stove for baking or roasting. Thanks

Brutal. The app is based on scanning the QR code on the stove top. There is no QR code on the stove top so it renders the entire process useless. I trashed the app soon after

Don’t buy for this feature. Hasn’t worked right since we purchased the oven. Customer service doesn’t exist. No help in the internet and especially Kitchenaids site.

Fine on the rare occasion it works. The app basically acts as a timer which is convenient but it is also the only way to control temperature probe cooking. That would be fine if every third use of the app didn’t require either deleting the app and reinstalling or completely reinstalling including re-entering the wifi password. The problem was reported to Kitchenaid with the response to trip the breaker to reset. The problem with this for me is that I had to locate a sub-panel behind the range to power a Kitchenaid microwave which I have been waiting for for almost a year now. Flipping the breaker will cause the breaker behind the unit to trip meaning I will have to pull the unit out which requires, among other things, removal of the door. Not a useful solution in my opinion. If you need to use the temperature probe, I would suggest buying another brand as this app is not worth the trouble.

Bad app. Horrible stove. Please don’t buy this stove or even use this app. Can’t login and stove has no screen, so you have no idea what’s happening with cooking or preheating

Wish the app worked correctly. Probe stops communicating with the app or visa versa. SO ANNOYING Timer function is glitchy, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Please fix the issues so I can use my $10,000 range properly.

Works well but!. The app was a pain to set up. Customer support helped me get it working, but it shouldn’t be that difficult.

I expected more from a $8000 range. Super disappointed the app constantly disconnects from my range. Even when it is connected it usually isn’t reading correctly. The appliance itself is great, the app needs a lot of work.

Disappointed. After hours spent trying to connect the app I was more than disappointed that it could not be programmed for a delay start. Now I find that it can be turned on and off from my iPad without setting the dials to wifi and wifi. But it still does not allow delay start.

Terrible set up and now incessantly beeps. The oven itself is lovely. The app is the worst one I have ever used. Took many many attempts to set up. Once it finally started working the oven beeps at random times for no reason. The chime went off probably 15 times between 2am and 4am last night. I tried deleting the app and it didn’t improve. Now I can’t even get it reinstalled. Customer service told me they had “never heard of this issue” despite the fact that it is well documented online. They recommended disconnecting the power to reset the electronics. We will see if that works. This app needs to be updated/redesigned.

Professional KitchenAid stove/range. Horrible….WiFi connection is very difficult to connect. Buttons don’t work properly, oven doesn’t respond. Ruined many meals. Do not buy!!!

DO NOT BUY Commercial Oven. 3 year old KitchenAid commercial oven is very unreliable. Sometimes it takes 2 hours to reach 500F, other times it never reaches the preset temperature. Junk. DO NOT BUY!!!

App is just okay. It needs the basics.... like don’t make me sign in everyday. Or at least enable face and Touch ID. There’s so much more but the above issue is truly annoying.

Sign in EVERYTIME????!!!. EVERYTIME I use the app it makes me sign in, using my email and password. Even when I select “remember me”. So annoying when all I want to do is check the temperature of the oven. It is a horrible app, needs a fix!

Disappointed. Come one guys, go hire an IOT firm to make something work. I haven’t seen this nonsense since 2010. So many prompts and still Won’t pair to the ranges WiFi. KitchenAid should be ashamed to release such garbage.

Useless App. Downloaded, deleted, downloaded. No matter what I do this app doesn’t work. Should have known from the other reviews it wouldn’t work and who has time to call if there is a problem? Just fix the app or take it out of the App Store.

No point. What is the point of having an app for your stovetop when you can’t even cut it off from the app? Also the built in timer is useless because hello KitchenAid - my phone has a timer. I don’t need an app for that. What a waste of technology. It will also be outdated in no time at all because it only connects on 2G. Do better.

So bad it is funny. What I like about this microwave is that it is so slow and poorly designed as to actually be funny. Came here just to say that.

Connection issues. It’s 50/50 whether the app will connect to the unit and vice versa. I still cannot obtain access to the unit manual. When it works, it’s great.

Can’t set up account!. Should be a no-brainer to set up an account, but when I tap on the ‘choose state’ field, the ‘choose country’ box pops up. When I call the App customer service line, the outgoing message lists a number of alternatives, none of which have anything to do with the App! I expected better from KitchenAid.

Doesn’t work. Can create account, choose state button gets stuck. If the first step itself failed, is is the worse app. Uninstalled!

Works, but very limited. The app is pretty easy to set up and pretty easy to use. I find it really frustrating that you can’t choose an arbitrary temperature. You can do 100, 110, 150, 175, 200, and so on. I need 125 😩

On iphone 12 the login is hidden. Could not get past the login page. The keyboard is obscuring the login textboxes. Missing the next input carrots you would expect. Keyboard cannot be collapsed to paste into the text field. Apple passwords gails to populate both boxes to confirm password setup. Rage quit.

Can’t even Register!!. I set up the account. I added my location. The only option is to ‘dismiss’ so you can’t add an appliance until you add your location... so I edited my location. And the only option is to dismiss... I’m in a loop. I spent $9,000 on two stoves and they can’t make a user friendly app? I just want to use my new oven!!!!

I truthfully wish I could rate negative starts. Not only the App is a waste of our time but the main website itself is just a nightmare! Terrible App & horrible website!!

Useless and hopelessly complicated. Even with a PhD in engineering, it took about 45 minutes on the phone with a KitchenAid technician to get the app to work with our range...except even after installation it still wasn't working. Installation process is hopelessly complicated and non intuitive.

New "simplified" design fail. The old app had features and visual feedback. This new design is giving 1992 printer screen. Nah. Pass.

App does not open. Does not open, just the initial picture with logo.???!!!

The over range. We have a the worst luck with this oven!! Had them come out to fix it and put new parts in and it still says the same faults!! It’s getting old!! You spend lots of money on it and not even 6 months old!!!

Difficult to set up remote access. Can’t add two access points

Terrible. A $5000 stove deserves an app that someone can actually set up. Tried 10 times of scanning barcodes and turning knobs. And it never connects.

App crashes. Every time the app “finds” our new refrigerator, the screen goes black…and that concludes the usefulness of the app.

They just keep making it worse. I think, do they actually try this app themselves? The new rolling way of setting the temperature is the most annoying thing you could possibly imagine. I’d never recommend anyone to buy a ‘smart’ oven 🤦🏻‍♂️

Won’t stay logged in. Despite checking “keep me logged in” the app requires you to re-enter info each time. On top of that it isn’t setup to use faceID or even to quick enter previous info. Pathetic

Worst money I ever spent. We have moisture in the display every time we use the oven. Never buying one of these again months to attempt to fix.

Too Invasive. Why does my oven need my email and phone number? “Creating a profile” is diabolical work when I would simply like to preheat my oven on the way home from the grocery store. You all should be ASHAMED.

Clock gets stuck. After seeing the control lock ON, the clock gets stuck and dies not show the correct time.

Constant have to log back into this app.. The “keep me logged in” button does NOTHING. I’m not logging into this 3 times a week. This makes the app useless. 1 star.

Temp monitoring. Since a recent update, you can no longer monitor the temperature of the oven when setting a preheat temperature. You set the temperature and it stays at the initial 95* until it reaches the desired temperature.

Timer useless. The timer stops timing if the app is not in focus, switch to another app and the timer stops. Overall the app and the 48” stove are lacking

Notifications won’t work. Update…app was actually working well. Now it won’t hold any of my notification settings so I get nothing. Please fix it and leave it alone!

Has potential. Timer is a nice idea, but has a major flaw, you need to keep the app open/active for it to work. If you switch to another app, it stops counting down.

WiFi. I would love to have a start time without using my phone!

Oven does not heat right out of the box!. We have been without a range for 3 months. Today our Kitchenaid range arrived and the oven will not heat up. $5,000 stove and it doesn’t work right out of the box?!?!? Unbelievable!! So disappointed (and hungry).

App not working. Doesn’t find range. Able to scan number then just get a blank screen. Same thing happens regardless of whether I enter the codes manually or scan it. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it with no luck. Would love to try it if i can ever get it to work.

Crashes immediately after clicking new appliance.. Crashes right after going to add new appliance, so I am not able to use this feature on my new range.

Logs me out. The app will not stay logged in for me. It’s annoying because I click to have it always remember me.

App is messed up after last update.. Not sure what you did to your app, but it doesn’t communicate well with the oven since your last update.

Not intuitive. I’m just begun using the new stove and the app together I have just begun using the new app and stove together, but there’s nothing about the app that works in an intuitive way, or seems to be useful including the review, which I cannot see what appears to be printing

Does Not Work. Doesn’t seem to work for me. I set up an account but can’t login. I get, “Problem Singing In. Please try again later.” I can login online to my account but not via this app.

Sign up again??!!. Even if you already have a KitchenAid account, you have to sign up again for a new account to use this app. Ridiculous.

Unnecessarily requires location sharing. There’s no reason that a microwave app should need my full address, phone number, and precise location just to connect. I was really excited to use my new microwave until I saw this app’s blatant disregard for basic privacy.

Confusing. App is dead. Can’t get past the welcome screen. It says it sent an email with a link. Finally got the email but can’t tell which link app page referred to. Company support said they think the app is down. They had no estimate of when it would be back on line.
