I’m impressed...but. The app has very few errors, but I do have one complaint, they removed the feature to upload pictures of your army to the app. It was a small thing but looking up a unit and seeing your own models was amazing!

Disappointing. Aside from general difficulty of use, the most aggravating aspect of this app is the requirement to own the digital versions of publications to be able to use content from them. I own the physical books and have no reason to buy a digital copy, but the app doesn’t allow you to show proof of purchase to access the content you already own in a book.

Like the App but Having Issues Post Update. App is worth having and not expensive... certainly valuable as an “official” list builder. On to new issues: 1) why are the forgeworld models missing (Sayl or say Colossal Squig); 2) where is the reaper bolt thrower; and 3) allies not working properly for at least ironjawz and moonclan (especially artillery). The new interface is better; however, there are some bugs that need to be fixed quickly.

2nd Edition is Better Overall. This app deserves 5 stars because it is aesthetically more pleasing than the new app and simply the 2e game rules are more new player friendly than 3e. While 3e has some creative mechanics and many good ideas even improvements over 2e, it divulged too far from having access to quicker simpler games. 3e is too cumbersome because every battle plan requires changing goals and points tracking every single turn. This breaks immersion and makes short games more difficult to accomplish. I think the traditional approach of defining rules and goals through the battle plan is better because it allows for more variety of games through battle plans. Basically the structural changes of 3e should in large part just be part of battle plans. 2e is just way more accessible to the casual gamer and new player.

Complaint. I have been a subscriber to this app since the beginning and recently started having issues. I can not access the list building for the last two days. There does not seem to be anywhere on the website for Games Workshop to let them know there is an issue. I have double checked for updates, but there doesn’t have any at the moment. Please somebody let the developers know we need this resolved. We as consumers, love this product!!!!

I love having all the books on my iPad, but the app itself could be better.. I love the app, it just frustrates me they don’t put any effort into making it easier to use. Instead of only saying (rules on page 74) MAKE A LINK you can click on!! I buy every battletome and update books/rules (I’ve literally spent hundreds of dollars in the app!) so it’s annoying(!) I have to back out of a book to the main library and then “open” the other book/battletome and go to that page. FOR THE LOVE OF SIGMAR MAKE CLICKABLE LINKS and or shortcuts...

Subscription keeps breaking. Every few weeks the app fails to recognize my subscription. I have to delete the app and reinstall it to fix the issue. There should be a way to fix it in app or re- sign in. Fix that annoyance and this will be a great tool.

It took awhile, but great app now. This is an update to a review I made shortly after the app was released. This app has come a long way and I currently use it all the time, from making army lists to using azyr for battles in progress.

Great Capabilities!. Beginning to reconsider my investment in this app, having purchased most of the codex I am beginning to notice errors that are corrected in the printed books. I see this as a problem considering the digital media could and SHOULD be constantly updated and correct. The value of the digital media is that I don’t have to carry 8 books around with me and having the Azyr sub makes list building awesome. I have a load of suggestions for improvement and many items that need to be corrected. FAQs should automatically baked in and be fully transparent as well. Is there a way I can see these items corrected or should I attempt a refund so I can purchase the correct content in physical format? -Bryan

Good but has a few issues. It’s a good app. The army builder function works well. It’s simple to use. With all the of the options you need to build an army from any of the books. It includes options for playing in each of the realms as well as the associated spells and artifacts. It allows you to print a decent army roster to use as well. It however isn’t updated often with changes to existing warscrolls that have errata published for them. Updates seem to come every few months. Also, I’ve had to delete the app numerous times for errata to actually update. At which point I have to restore my purchases - which I’ve never had an issue with. And then redownload every book I’ve bought. It does not however include any battalions or army building rules that are published in the WD. Overall it’s worth it. If they paid more attention to keeping it in sync with the published books and new rules in the WD, it would be a really good app.

Good update, zero usability. It is a good update concept that can greatly reduce the time wasting for downloading each warscroll. But the design is awful and nearly impossible to read. The fonts are so small thai I can’t see even with 9.7” iPad and even smaller in iPhone. The model stats are written white text on light yellow background which is oppose of any design guide in the world. The problems are very east to fix: make the font 2-3 times bigger. Make the light yellow header and stat wheel darker. Everything else are good but I cannot use the app any more until you fix these problems.

Maybe worth it, nope. The free app is good for looking at warscrolls. Problem is the app doesn't get updated in a timely manner. Once a new book comes out if the new warscrolls make it in within a month or two your in luck. Do not pay for a Azyr! It's about two months behind and the points are often wrong. Also most of azyr is bugged and will not give you accurate list making. Go to warhammer community website and make your lists there. Use this app only if your lucky enough for your warscrolls to be on there.

It’s OK. As a WarHammer addict, this app is my go-to for warscroll reference and model research, but it’s not perfect. In the general warscroll section, I think you should be able to switch the Profile View, like you can in My Battle so you can see the unit size, point values and battlefield role without it having to add it to My Battle. Another addition I would suggest is additional search refinement. Right now you are only able to refine your search by Grand Alliance, Faction and key words I think you should be able to refine search by stats and battlefield role, as well as a point value. Instead of sifting through my entire factions warscrolls for a unit that hits and wounds on 3’s, I should be able to put what stats I’m looking for into a search engine that can refine my search by each models stats. You should be able to look for models based on their attack and save values, movement, bravery, wound number etc., that would make this app WAY more effective. I would also suggest that you add a MathHammer type calculator, one where you can plug in your models stats and have your average wound output, point value efficiency, etc. calculated. As for right now, this app is just OK.

Useful, but new update wrecked it. The Broken Realms update broke the app on my old iPad 4. The app description still indicates that I can run it on iOS 10, but it crashes immediately on launch every time now. It never even makes it to an in-app screen. I see a split-second flicker, and the app is open in the background, but it drops me back to the home screen every time I try to go to it. Fix this, and I will happily update my review. Thanks!

Not the worst app but pretty bad. This app is a worse version of iBooks and BattleScribe combined in one. I see no reason to ever buy a Battletome from here again. It is cumbersome, weirdly slow, and the worst offense is how out of date the warscrolls are, if the warscroll is there at all, particularly the named characters. I want to like this app and support GW. There are good aspects, for example it is nice having access to all the warscrolls, but this is held back by the strange way it hides battalion rules (except for the ones you purchase) and listing artifacts and spells seems good except there are no rules for these at all (even if you own them). This app is a disappointment and I would get a refund if I could. Update: Also, despite the fact that I bought the new Stormcast tome, I cannot view battalions. This app is just a series of new disappointments.

Subscription problems. Every month the subscription renews I always loss the list I’ve build, every renewal it doesn’t allow me to access the “Azyr” option. I always have to uninstall the app and reinstall. This is painful enough but manageable, what really gets me is I have to rebuild all my list. As I’m sure all of you know sometimes a lot of tinkering goes into building a list. I really like this app and think it’s great but if I’m paying for this I feel like I shouldn’t have to deal with this.

Been a good run. I’ve been using this app for years and never had any major problems with it. They still have the warscrolls for all the old discontinued fantasy models and armies which I always really liked. I don’t know if they’ll remove it when the new app launches tomorrow but this one really wasn’t that bad.

Good most of the time. Honestly, this app does exactly what it says it’s going to do. You can look up and build list if you pay for the subscription, or just use it to quickly check warscrolls. However, every few days, it completely forgets that I have a subscription and won’t let me access my lists. The only way to fix this is to completely delete the app, cancel the subscription, and then resubscribe. Update as of October 2020: removing a star because it is absolutely ridiculous that whenever the app updates, the only way to verify your subscription is to completely delete it and lose all of your lists. How is this still not fixed?

App is great...when it works. I have lost my lists so many times because I have to uninstall and reinstall the app in order for it not to take me to the subscription screen. I’m already subscribed. I’m really close to giving up on this subscription, but it’s very useful when it actually works.

Trash. The app often, 7/10 times roughly, asks me to resubscribe to use features, which I can’t because…. I’m already subscribed. This wouldn’t be a problem if they had support, they don’t. Maybe someone besides me could figure out in their not mobile friendly website what the heck they are supposed to do but I can’t. So… can’t use it when I need for it, can’t get support when I can’t use it, all for the low price of 1$/month. Thanks but no thanks. P.s. I tried deleting it and reinstalling and updating, still trash. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised with a company like this.

Long time user. Yeah, updates are getting sloppy. I just got the be’lakor book in real media but of course if I have NO idea if I will need the digital version in app. Well since I want the nighthaunt battalion then yeah, probably. However I won’t buy it till I know they will properly update. Be’lakor at the moment is still not updated in points or in the warscroll. I never got an update for the Sull’eske white dwarf faction. They had a super cool battalion with soulgrinders and defilers. Alas never made it to the app. My point is, they got sloppy with this about like over a year ago. Tldr; they make you buy your books in app even if you have them, they don’t TELL you what is updating or when and they charge you a monthly fee. Plus side, all the rules (if you get your stuff sorted out) at the tip of your finger on your device.

You pay for nothing.. Absolutely ridiculous to pay for an app that has had 3 updates since the release of AOS 2.0 and they still haven’t fixed all the missed issues. Missing tons of units, now has a poor layout and bad fonts and serious issues with allies and battle line units. Do your self a favor and buy something else, anything else.

Currently Useless For AoS 3rd Edition. While I’m not experiencing any bug whilst using the app the Warscrolls, points, battalions, grand strategies, etc., have still not been updated to 3rd Edition. It’s been over a month since 3rd Edition released, it ridiculous. I feel that the update is being held back for the release of Warhammer+, but until then this app is useless.

Not impressed with the new update. Why fix something that ain’t broke. I acknowledge that the previous version of the app had its issues, but this new update seemed to make them worse. Why are there two Wanderer factions in the Azyr list builder? One of which has no units in it at all. Also, I liked how I could pick the load out of equipment for my units in the old app, that’s gone for some reason. Also when trying to attach allies to a list that says I have used none of my allied points yet, it tells me that I have reached my allied points limit. There are so many issues that it makes the list builder unusable in my opinion. It feels rushed. I hope they fix these issues in the near future, but in all honesty, it should have been fixed before it was ever released.

Can’t download what you pay for. The app is useful enough if you just want to look at warscrolls. But since I can’t download the Battletome I purchased to see the rules the app might as well be useless. Additionally, purchasing a rule book should give way more benefits than just unlocking battalions, like unlocking a models points or potential war gear options on a scroll. As it stands the benefits are small and that’s even if you can manage to download the book you pay for in the first place.

Good Reference, pdf books closes too fast. It’s good for references and models war scrolls. I just feel like the books in the app seem to close to easy. Like zooming in and scrolling down closes the book. Wish would stay open until hitting the close button. Other then the pdf books I like how the other information can be made and organize. Just those pdf books closing way too easy makes it a meh rating for me.

Mediocre. This app is alright, although points keep updating on this app, so I don’t see the point of buying a Battletome when it’s just going to get outdated. App’a kinda glitchy too, but useful for quick pull-up. Hopefully see some new updates to it

Warscrolls look awful now. The new design of the warscrolls is terrible, both aesthetically and functionally. What was wrong with the previous design? Now they're repulsive-- they're hard to read, they lost style and flavor, the high-quality photos of the models in action are replaced by tiny stock-on-white thumbnails... bad bad bad. I would sooner make my own out of index cards to shuffle through than use this app's warscrolls.

Layout has improved but has issues. Note: I don’t use Azyr. I really like this new change to the app and really enjoy being able to search for models by keyword. Its a lot easier for me to go through and look at all possible Aelf units for my army. A major downside is that there are missing units, especially for a lot of my Aelf units. I assume they’ll fix it in time but right now it’s a pain to not have my warscrolls available to me.

Lazy! But, WHY!?. Ok, so I’ve allowed for a lengthy amount of time before reviewing this. Simply put it’s lazy. Nothing is accurate, or accurately little is. In an attempt to force purchasing of products they’ve limited the functionality of the Azyr app list building.... that you (or at least I) pay for. It’s simple things that’s not only lazy, but limiting. To the point few tournament allows the Azyr lists. For instance Greywater lists can’t add the extra artillery... that they’re allowed. Battalions don’t require them to be filled correctly for the list to say “valid”.

Great, but slow to get updated.. I love using the app. It’s easy, fast, and useful. My only complaint is that they take way to long to add new books and factions into the app. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.

Missing Units. I am glad to see with this update the doubling of unit names aren’t double (no two Bretonnias or Beastmen for example). However, there are still missing units under the swifthawks and the section called order. Hopefully they will be added in soon because they’re great units!

Good App with some flaws. Really an excellent way to keep track of your army and have Battletomes in one place. The only frustrating thing is when I try to read my battletomes it’s very easy to exit the Battletome with a swipe up on the screen. Makes navigating the pages on my iPhone a hassle and reading in one sitting difficult

Works for most things just expect some bugs. I’ve been using the app for quick reference on my warscrolls just bought my first battle tome through the app recently but it won’t download at all so cannot read anything about the army upon restarting my phone for update my azyr deleted all my army lists and won’t let me log back into despite still haveing an active subscription besides those two BIG BUGS it’s great for looking at army’s and access to the store

Most issues resolved. I love this app and can only hope 40k gets one just like it. Others have experienced issues but I don’t really recall any since I downloaded it. This really helps me decide my next purchases with all the free warscroll for every unit/heroes. Just keep in mind that it will not replace owning a codex which can be purchased digitally through the app.

Having in-app issues. I am unable to hit "continue" on my devices due to the button either: 1: not showing up at all 2: showing up immediately above the "cancel" button The rest of the app is lovely, but I'm extremely disappointed in this

Great resource but issues with Azyr. I think this app is fantastic, and has a lot of potential but the problems with the app are significant. - The points cost for units and warscrolls are sometimes off. So are some of the actual warscrolls themselves. - For me, Azyr stops allowing me to enter its feature and the only fix for it is to delete the app and reinstall it. This makes me lose all the lists I have built. This is probably the worst part of the negative aspects this app has, as it has me redo lists over and over again just to make sure I don’t forget it.

Can’t get store to load. I love this app but after the last update I haven’t been able to get the store to load. Was looking to get another Battletome that didn’t load so I deleted and reinstalled the app. After that I can’t even get the store to load so I can at least get the Battletome I did get to come up.

Don’t subscribe!. The subscription service is a joke all it does is let you see point cost while building an army list. I thought it would at least add command abilities , artifacts or spells to individual units warscrolls but I guess that’s to difficult for GW. The free reference for all warscrolls is this things saving grace.

Lacks regular updates for a paid subscription service. The title pretty much says it all. There's been a whole new faction launch and GHB with points changes and it's been forever since the app saw an update. Do yourself a favor and unsubscribe until they start doing their jobs and getting the app updated!

Fatal flaw. Great app but it refuses to recognize my purchase of the new SCE battle tome and will not give me access to all the SCE war scrolls because it says it wants me to also buy the old SCE battle tome. NOT COOL. I paid for the app and the book and I still don’t have access to what I should. GW reached out to me and told me to wait 2 weeks and check again. However over a month later after a reinstall the battalion warscrolls for SCE are not recognizing my purchase of the new SCE battle tome and insisting that i buy the old one to unlock content i should have. NOT COOL!

Pretty useful, needs more regular updates. Pros - Having all the warscrolls for the game in one place is very useful. Purchasing digital books is great, as you have everything in one location. Building an army and having this application note everything and help error check you is a wonderful feature, and the price of just 1 dollar a month is fair. Cons - updates. The game will get updated but this app could wait a week to get the update, or even 2 months, as experienced with GHB2020, an important publication changing many elements of the game. Buying the digital copy of rule books does not entitle you to a pdf copy, though they cost the same. A different digital venue is required to buy purely digital that is non compatible with this application. Games workshop is king of making you buy something you already own multiple times. There are missing rules if you failed to purchase a battletome or rule book. Also, other publications, like white dwarf magazine articles or limited edition characters aren’t always put in here correctly, or often, at all. I’d also like to see eratas or designers commentaries added as a free download or a note of “updated” to the relevant publications to be sure I know that I am playing the most up to date version of the game.

Some Issues Still Not Fixed. The most recent update was good, and got access to purchased books restored. The Azyr (subscription) part of the app is still not quite up to date. Allegiance abilities for Ironjawz aren't working. Quality of life improvement would be to move all the 'Compendium' books to their own section, and not have them cluttering up the 'General's Handbook' section.

Good app for list build but can’t access azyr anymore. Good for list building but now every time I try to access azyr to build a list it brings me to the subscription page even though I’m alert subscribed. Uninstalling the app may fix the problem but I’ll lose every list I’ve created. Emailed support but no response as of yet.

Good luck saving rosters. So in general this app is good. Access to all the Warscrolls is nice. Making your army lists is easy with the Azyr add on. The problem is that every month it asks me to subscribe to Azyr again even though I am subscribed. I then can’t use Azyr without uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and then all my rosters are gone. This is extremely frustrating and really needs to get fixed. If I’d have known about this issue I never would have paid for Azyr.

Downloads. This app was very good until they took forever to update for the GHB 2020 and now no matter what I try I can’t download my purchased battletomes. I even deleted and redownloaded which means I have no battletomes because it it’s keeps circling and never downloading anything even the one that we’re already there. I guess they care more about 40K and it’s app since 9th edition started. Hopefully they care about this app eventually but until then I won’t be buying any battletomes.

Azyr subscription issues. Good app when working. Since I upgraded to a new phone it will no longer recognize my subscription. I click on the button to subscribe and it tells me I am already signed up, however it doesn’t then take me to the lists I previously prepared! So frustrating!

Disappointing. The old app had its issues but this the update is a joke. Even though they update it regularly it’s still missing character and models, if they were in the last app why didn’t you port them and start updating not getting rid of them and remaking them? Also the last app had pictures of all the models even if it was art work, now most stuff is missing pictures or art work and it makes the app feel cheaper

Good but could be great. This app is very useful but could be amazing with the proper support. It allows you to access you warscrolls and digital copies of books. I wish this app and GamesWorkshop provide the ability to download digital versions of the physical books you already own. The ability to add the relevant command traits and artifacts to the bottom of your warscrolls.

Forgets my subscription multiple times a month. I have to constantly reinstall the app because it’s bugged out. It won’t always recognize my subscription so I can’t access the list builder. This is fixed by uninstalling and then reinstalling the app but doing so means I loose my saved lists which is half of the reason to have a subscription in the first place! This app would be 10 stars in my heart if it weren’t for this bug. Sadly the functionality is only present half of the time for me and I don’t see any way to fix it. Also the contact button on the app leads to a page where I can only seek help for the 40K app so that’s also disappointing.

Wheres the rules?. While it looks like a nice app with the war scrolls in there, where are the rules that the description says it is supposed to come with?

Quickly Found Bugs. Always has to be uninstalled and reinstalled to get the latest warscroll cards. Brayherd Ungor Raiders are broken in Azyr, they should count as a Battleline when Brayherd Allegiance. Musicians, Banner Bearers & Champions are also broken. This is from a 5 minute play.

Renaming Bookmarks. Great app nut PLEASE allow me to rename my bookmarks, having a bookmark named after the page number is much harder to choose which one you want than if you could give them adequate titling.

No Rules. My app doesn't have any Rules Section, I tap on the Rules at the bottom right and nothing happens. Have reinstalled, but same result. Probably just the next evolution in this game, going from 4 pages of rules to none.

Needs bug fix. Great app, needs a few things ironed out, the ebook reader crashes as soon as you try open it. Very sad as I feel I've been robbed of $5.

Eh. The rules cant be displayed nor will they allow me to download them in-app?

Very buggy. So slow. Bug occurring when trying to delete warscrolls. Easy to navigate but laggy. Inability to swipe between warscrolls in my battle mode is a major deficit.

Needs to be fixed. Good app but I have the enhanced edition book but keeps telling me I need to buy it again!!

A great app but..... Fantastic app but there are some major bug bears that really spoil the experience. For starters, if you buy a book in the app (which you have to to unlock battalions) when zoomed into page (kind of have to on phone), scrolling around the page will often exit the book. Highly frustrating when trying to read it - forcing me to buy the book in iBooks as well just to be able to read it! Also, the issue with azyr returning to the “subscribe” page STILL exists. I click subscribe, apple tells me I have an active subscription and then just returns me to the “subscribe” page. Only fix is to reinstall the app which deletes all my armies. Extremely frustrating!!!

Extremely useful but for one main issue. Azyr subscription is cheap and highly useful for armies, but having to purchase a battletome when you already own the physical copy is stupid, if 40k apps allows physical books redeemable in the app then why cant age of sigmar :s i have the collectors edition of hedonites of slaanesh and yet they still want me to pay to use it on my phone, that’s practically 3 battletomes worth just for the same item 😓 secondly the army maker and battalions could be done abit better- if you select a battalion you then have to add the units in other leader and battleline sections, which can get confusing with which unit is with which battalion especially on grand host battalions, a better way would be to select the units under the battalion as an options and requirements ( like selecting spells and other unit options and the like)

Good app but buggy. App does what it should but intermittently forgets I’m a subscriber and there’s no restore purchase option. I then have to delete the app and download again, which wouldn’t be an issue if there were cloud saves for all the lists. Sadly there isn’t.

Avoid the subscription.. An average app. Some minor bugs. The biggest issue with it is the extremely slow updates for the paid subscription. A fine app for free... but rather poor for a subscription service.

A step backwards from the previous version. New version of the app doesn’t allow you to see what Other choices are made Battleline by HQ choice (as well as sometimes getting it wrong, Idoneth for example). Changing or removing your General doesn’t change the Battleline back to Other when it should either. Additionally it doesn’t allow you to choose the amount of troops from the initial selection screen (only from the main screen after you’ve selected), and there are no longer terrain rules available in the warscrolls. All of these things were available in the previous version. Additionally, the new warscrolls don’t flow as well as the old ones, with some having abilities at the bottom that are referenced at the top, and whilst it all looks prettier, it’s a step back from the previous version.

Great idea. Latest version is unusable. With the latest update I see two issues that I've experienced with the app: 1) crashes very frequently when adding a unit to your list 2) warscrolls don't download I'm rating 3 because the concept is great and the ability to have the rules in your pocket is great, otherwise it would have been significantly less.

Latest update no good.. I just updated , new soul wars update and now all I get is blank screen. Latest update still no good

IAP Broken - New Battletomes. Looks like your latest update has broken IAP for the new Bonereapers and Ogors Battletomes for anyone on iOS; they can’t be purchased.

Not worth subscribing until updated properly. The paid subscription part of the App, Azyr, used to be a good resource for army building and learning about your opponent’s armies. Unfortunately, GW have recently diverted resources from the paid version of this app to try and fix the nowhere near fit for release 40k app. It’s still a useful resource for reference, but not worth subscribing until they give it proper updates in a timely manner and fix the bug where Azyr intermittently doesn’t recognise your subscription until you delete and reinstall the app - meaning you lose all of your saved army lists. I cancelled my long term Azyr subscription earlier this year, them restarted it when they finally updated it. Seeing as updates still aren’t happening on the same schedule as new releases I have cancelled it again until they fix it.

Handy-ish app. Missed opportunity to incorporate some sort of balancing mechanism for pick up games. Isn't compatible with the iTunes book download section so you have to pay twice if you want to unlock certain warscrolls. App won't launch purchased item and crashes when trying to read purchased books.

Slow to update. App is fine but if you want to make list for new armies it frustratingly slow to included them or any changes to points or warscrolls

Needs big improvements.. The new version deleted all my saved armies, and is missing units / war scrolls. Looks good but functionality is missing. Needed more testing before release.

Poorly Maintained. They just “updated it” which I had to jump through hoops to do manually and now it’s got heaps and heaps of errors in it.

Fix needed please. I have bought the enhanced version of the rules but it does not unlock the formations in this app. Can that please be sorted. The app is good other the. That small flaw. It could do with a download all function too.

200+ page book without an index or bookmarks?. Downloaded the first book. Very nicely done, formatting and art is great. But if you close the book to do something else in the app it doesn’t save your progress, so back to page 1. And there is no index or way to quickly shift to a new spot.

Needs to be more up-to-date. Please be more precisely up-to-date when updating the warscolls. For example the Khorne Bloodreavers and Blood Warriors are still on their Age Of Sigmar beginner's set's loadout, while updated ones (with added wargear options) are already posted on GW website ages ago. Started using again, clunky.. I can’t seem to remove units from my list using the trash/trolley icon (may be doing something wrong). Should be a more solid app if we’re paying via subscription.

It’s ok. Interface is nice but scroll position between pages can be a pain as the scroll position on the warscrolls view isn’t persistent.

Needs a revamp. Old version was better. Could access pictures of units and warscrolls and Azyr worked much smoother.

Needs to be updated!!. The App needs to be updated as it should changes Units to Battleline choices pending your general. Not all units are in it. Cannot at Skaven Gnawholes to my army in the scenery section. These type of things should be updated to Current rules as the army roster is a PAID for Subscription.

Great, with a few issues. Great app! But some of the battle line choices aren't working when setting an allegiance. For example, there's no way to add stormfiends as a battle line unit when selecting Clan Skryre as the allegiance. You can still set the Skryre Acolytes, just not the Stormfiends. But besides that, awesome app!!

Good Concept. Great concept and very useful as a reference guide. However, needs some fixes. The iPad version doesn't allow you to select the rules page. Also, like others I bought the enhanced age of sigmar which doesn't register on the app. For usability, being able to download all warscrolls at once, and being able to swipe between warscrolls in your battle section would save a lot of time.

Missing battle packs. I love the app don't get me wrong but I had to delete and reinstall the app to fix a issue in doing this all the battle packs which included warscroll battalions have been locked. Is there a way to get them back?

Zero content included. This is just a store. Literally every single link in this app takes you directly to a storefront where you are asked to part with 25-100 dollars for Games Workshop products. There is no free lore or information of any kind included. Utterly and completely worthless and shameless.

Books crash upon opening. Everytime i try to open the 20$ generals handbook i bought it crashes. Not happy at all!

Books not transferring with new iPhone. Have also used this app for a very long time and have enjoyed it immensely... however I just got a phone upgrade and found that the two army books I had purchased did not transfer over. Not sure if this is a buyer beware but rather annoyed as I bought the “electronic” version for its ease of use and adaptability with the army builder. Not impressed, and feeling rather old bearded as a result.

Love/Hate. It’s a great app when it’s working, can be very useful with the azyr subscription. However, the azyr portion glitches fairly often asking me to subscribe when I already have. This is very frustrating and I’m not sure why I’m paying a monthly sub for something that doesn’t always work.

Forever to update to GH20. Decent app for downloading books and creating list. Hard to create an updated list to GH2020 when app has been updated in 3 months.

Why does my app not like me?. I constantly have to delete and re-install the app to make it work. It always forgets I have a subscription and won’t let the app work as normal. Please fix.

This app has no technical support. We wait 4 months for an update, we purchase digital books that we can’t download, we keep paying subscription, and we don’t get any support when things don’t work. I’m done. Games Workshop, get your house in order.

Great just a few bugs. Clean and simple. Would be good to have a "delete" war scroll function. Also, rules do not load on my iPad. Newest iPad as well.

Bug Fixes Nonexistent. They updated the app after 4 months of no updates just to and a new race and broke downloading battletomes. I reinstalled as it said on their website and lost the rest of my battletomes. They better fix it in a week when they add the sons of behemat

Awesome app for Age of Sigmar.. The recent update fixed all the qualms I had about the app, I now give it 5 stars as it has all the information needed to play AoS with any army for free and it's convenient for buying all the AoS books on as you can have them stored all in one place and now with the addition of chapters, you can skip to any part of the book instead of having to flip through. Great update GW, I'm really enjoying AoS and I'm glad you found a way to continue the story and keep the Warhammer Fantasy world fresh and interesting. Cheers :)

Clean and easy to use. Runs smoothly, and so far has been the perfect companion to entering the new age of Warhammer. Suggested for everyone getting into AoS!

Great app but.... ... has some issues with the iPhone X (rules PDF doesn’t load on it). Will update score when fixed!

GW did good?. If you are gonna play AoS, this is a decent app for all your war scrolls and allows you to design your battle list in app.

Azyr app. Azyr app is out of date. Doesn’t update frequently like it says. Ironjawz has no option to use Ironjawz command traits or artefacts.

Terrible and only option for app. This app is legitimately terrible. Read a warscroll and go back to the selection menu and you are now 3 factions down the list instead of where you were. And because it’s game workshop there is no community made app that would be 100% better. Greedy prices for battletomes too. I’m not paying 30$ for a digital copy of a battle too that can only be used in the not so user friendly app.

Useless. This is why Gamesworkshop has been dropping. Even still they do not learn their lesson. This app is more for keeping track of rules than army building, all the rules are either free or very expensive but available as pdfs through other means.

Neglected app, but could be good.. Great for army building and looking up information. Used it every time I played. Unfortunately, they don’t keep the information up to date, fix errors or bugs. I constantly had to reinstall the app due to it would forget that I was subscribed. Eventually had enough and cancelled the sub.

Why is Vandus Hammerhand gone ?. This app had all the rules for Vandus but now he is gone for new reason . And I can not even buy my battletomb yet. So the app is all I have.

Great app! Wish it would turn to landscape with IPad.. Great app with lots of great improvements to the original. I wish that the app would reorientate its view when you move the IPad into landscape.

Lost access to Battalion. I find it very frustrating that I no longer have access to the Battalion warscrolls after the latest updates to the FEC Battletome. They are requesting I purchase yet another copy of a book I already own. They don't even offer a discount or upgrade possibility .. They expect you to spend another 28$ to regain features you already payed for on pretext that its a new edition. That's a real rip off IMO.

Terrible. This app is a buggy mess, selecting a warscroll then backing out causes you to jump back up to the top of the warscroll menu. On top of that it takes anywhere between 2 weeks to 2 months to update everytime new models/rules come out. Unacceptable, especially if you are paying for the list builder

Suggested feature. Were physical copies of the books to come with a download code so owners didn't have to purchase a second time to have a digital copy, that would significantly increase utility. Also. My iPad version, even after reinstall, does not have the main in rules

Azyr Sub. I’ve had a subscription to Azyr since the app launched, and I continue to have issues trying to access it. When I hit the button for Azyr, it takes me to a screen that shows me info about it and has a button for me to subscribe. Usually closing and reopening the app fixes it, but the latest version just doesn’t let me access Azyr at all. When I tap the subscription button it tells me I’m subscribed (which is great since the fee came off my account), but I still can’t access Azyr. It just brings up the sub info screen. I usually love the app, and like most of the new changes (not a fan of adding units with one tap, preferred the old UI of picking things before they got added from a few versions ago), but I’d really like to be able to use my army builder. Update June 2019: This issue still persists. I always have to uninstall, and the install the app to fix this. And then I lose all my saved data. I love the app, but this is extremely frustrating.

Paid service never up to date. They can’t expect us to be happy with a paid service that is never kept up to date with releases lagging months late and once released are missing artifact and spells

Ok - needs lots of work.. App is a reasonable first attempt but the inability to easily upload new scrolls is infuriating. Reinstalling the app allows you to get fresh scrolls but then wipes out purchases made. They want another $58 to rebuy the rule book, OR double dip,and ask for another $1 to buy multiple scroll singles that should have been included in the book purchase. GW focus on allowing in app updates and get your scrolls sorted, then worry about the new content.

Books bought in App can't be read. Bought the new book through the app, it added the battle scrolls but doesn't open the book. Very broken.

Improvements, but flops as well. Outside of the fact that AoS is more expensive than previous version of the game and rules are more expensive despite being told they would be free, here is my review of the app in its current form. Recent additions have been good, but a major flaw has been the crazy breakdown of the armies. For example, empire is split through multiple sections and only way to view them all at the same time is to view all of the ordered armies in one shot. Not sure why this change but it really makes it a pain to find the troops you want (over filtration is not a good thing). Ogres and green skins which I also play are also just as bad and real pain to create battle lists, but at least there are less destruction forces than ordered forces to filter through. GW, please fix this back to the main headings like it was before. Eg. All orcs and goblins under one and all ogres under another. Maybe then add subheadings for further filtration system.

Nice app does need some work.. I would like to see a search function to help with finding warscrolls. Otherwise great app. The update fixed the rules issue I was having with my iPad

Getting Fed up. Hasn’t been updated in 3+ months, points changes have not been kept current. Covid is a garbage excuse for a digital product. If they can’t be bothered to update, I can’t be bothered to continue my subscription

Why?. Enjoy the app but was abandoned in March in favour of 40k app which was released as incomplete garbage. Aside from being time consuming how hard is it to keep the data in this app up to date. Could have had one person doing that in march and this would have been up to date late but not neglected for more than an entire quarter of a year. Warscroll builder is up to date. How many people manage that?

Says I need to subscribe despite having an active subscription.. Unusable at the moment, says I need to subscribe which I already do.

Very useful on the go, but not always perfect. Very useful app; having access to all scrolls on the go is very useful. However currently I can't get the Skywardens scroll to download, which bothers me to no end since I've just started collecting KOs. Also, be careful when downloading the book previews, it's very easy to accidentally hit the purchase button instead of preview...

Out of date. Currently, the majority of warscrolls (such as the lord of change, most verminlords, and a ton of troops) are still from the compendium even though they've either been revised, changed, or simply have more recent had editions printed.

App is great but with a couple of issues. I have been using the app since its inception and it is a huge convenience. However it has some issues. Mainly I have two issues. 1. There is no way to report warscroll/ability issues in Azyr. (e.g. In Slaves to darkness there is a legion that can have command traits for each leader, yet it is invalid in Azyr) and there is no button/form to report bug/issue 2. Some warscrolls are missing, mostly for special models like the Guardian of souls with mortality glass that seems to be nonexistent outside the assembly instructions leaflet.

Subscription is not what is says.. The subscription only covers printing, Saving and list building IF you purchased the General handbook and Corresponding Warscrolls though the App. The Digital versions of the General Handbook and Warscrolls are required.

Don’t buy.. I bought the subscription and it still won’t let me use the army builder. Tried canceling and getting it again and it still doesn’t work. They will basically just steal you money from you.

Not updating is an insult to AoS players. App hasn’t been updated since seraphon FAQ, no Lumineth realm lords, no GHB updates, please unsub until GW spends 5 minutes to actually update their app that players PAY for

No support. 3 weeks since they released the dumpster fire 40k app and the Azyr app still isn’t updated. Not only that but there is no communication on when it will be updated or even an apology for not updating in a timely manner. More of GW trying to squeeze blood from a rock. I’ll use Battlescribe from now on.

Missing Units. Even after updates there are still many units missing that were present in the old app. Legion of Azgorh, for example.

Don’t buy anything. Buy the books on warhammer digital unless you want to exclusively use them in this app solely on iOS. Azyr is garbage, just use BattleScribe

No updates since Seraphon. It’s absolutely ridiculous that you pay for a service and it’s out of date. They have not updated it in months and since the a new army has come out, a General handbook has come out, and a large FAQ has come out. I’ll be unsubscribing.

New and fun. This game is a lot of fun and being able to play with cards in person or on my phone is great.

Where’s 3.0?. The rule book should be updated to the free 44-page 3.0 version available on the website. Having wars scolls from old versions to convert to new version is very helpful.

Update needs work. Azyr (the army builder) needs work. Can not remove units from a list. Models that should be allowed are not available. Minor problems that should be easy to fix.

Pretty good. Defiantly my go to for everything age of Sigmar. I wish there where some QOL changes like a filter button for battleplans.

New version removes old purchases. If you purchased any battalions outside of buying the battletome in the previous version of the app they are locked to you

Deletes your lists. This is the sixth time my lists have been deleted! Fix this problem!

Can’t access purchases. App has no problems taking my money when making a purchase, but god forbid I actually try downloading the stuff.

No 3.0 Rules. If you are looking to see if your list fits 3.0, this ain’t it fam. Maybe when summer holidays are over it might get an update, but taking money for an obsolete list builder is pretty weak.

No Updates. You can’t rely on it, even after spending full price on rulebooks, because it almost never gets updated and not in a timely manner.

Removal of wars srolls.. You invest in models to play a game. It’s not just the time or money but the thoughts and stagey you put into marking a list and you go a remove warscrolls from this app so now I can’t play with models because you don’t sell them any more. Bring back all the warscrolls you deleted.

Buggy/Broken Features. I paid for the subscription to Azyr, but the app hasn't allowed me to create any armies since AoS 2.0 was released! Absurd to charge for a broken product.

Old and incomplete. I mean games workshop is only a $5 billion company we gotta cut them some slack but this is insane! No new battletomes or wars rolls are even available for purchase

What am I paying for?. Update your army lists, points, rules, etc. to reflect the latest Age of Sigmar rule set. App is near useless until updated.

Why?. Why did they change the format of the war scrolls in 2.0? Font is tiny and so much wasted White space at the top of each scroll. You have to now scroll to see all the information. Very amateurish looking warscrolls now in the app. And for the love of God, would you please save my filter between visits.

GW... Fix this potentially perfect app.. For the love of everything good and holy, PLEASE fix your broken subscription coding which kicks us out every time the subscription payment doesn’t sync. I have now re-written all 8 of my army lists 5 times. Not cool.

Very out of date. Need to have updated points to reflect the 2020 generals handbook. Also missing lots of battalions. This could be a great app if GW put effort into keeping it updated from time to time...

Lose all your information every month!. Get ready to uninstall and re-download this app every single month! And as a bonus you lose every single list you might have had stored!

Terrible Service. With 40k 9thEd release it’s clear how horrible GW service is and how stingy they’re being run. They’re not updating the app even though it’s a paid service. They have a market cap of 3 BILLION USD and refuse to hire people or actually run this company how it should be instead of clinging to these archaic indie basement ways.

Please update. Please update the new version. All horrors are adding 200 points into army total. Even after they are changed to blues or brims. I have a valid army that should cost 1990 that is showing as 2230. That is due to the extra 140 its charging for a unit of brims and 100 its charging for a unit of blues

Way to expensive. A dollar a month for the army builder function is way to much. The paid version of battle scribe is great and much cheeper. Two dollars a year, I believe. The free version of battle scribe is still amazing.

Points updates still missing and bugs. An example of incorrect points: Anointed on frost Phoenix is 240 not 260. I can not add judicators as other units when playing mixed order. I understand it’s not going to be battling, but I can’t add them at all, even when the other units just happen to be allies. Other bugs like compendium not opening all the warscrolls. Needs some work

Text adjustment please. I like the new format, but for those of us with eyesight issues please consider the following adjustment. 1) text is small. Needs a way to adjust font size in settings. 2() adult the yellow move,save,bravery dial darker for better contrast.

Crashes. I like the app alot, but the recent update hasnt fixed my problem of the app crashing whenever i check certain units that i might wanna look into. i dont know if its only me with the crashes, but it sure gets annoying after awhile

Subscription bugs. The list builder is really nice, when it works. Constantly getting locked out of it and asked to subscribe when I already am.

General’s Handbook 2020 updates havent been entered. It is really sad to see that the point updates in General’s Handbook havent been entered yet. It has been a month and still no email has been sent out to players regarding the delay.

Such a great concept but super failed application.. App constantly “forgets” I’m subscribed and I have to delete the app and redownload. Every time losing all my saved army lists and content. It’s obnoxious.

Disappointing effort. Missing units, hard to read content (white/cream on pale gold?), no way to credit physical content you own. A lot of promise but execution is lacking.

Broken Tomes. Purchased bonereaper tome through the app and it doesn’t download. Just idles as if it is downloading but after hours it never finishes.

Updates?. New army out as well as new updates to points. When will this app be useful with the new updates?

App Is Dead. Warhammer is an ever changing game and this app hasn’t updated in so long that it’s missing a lot of the new models. From Kruleboyz to Dragons. Was once a wonderful app is now gone

Broken. Pretty much broken and unusable at this point. To many things missing or worded incorrectly or not matching data from other sources.

Baffling.. The included rulebook is made up of full-page scans suitable only for a good size tablet. Impossible to use on even a large phone without constant pinch zooming and scrolling around. It is bizarre that this is offered on phones at all.

Great for a month. At the start of every month, Azyr glitches and thinks I’m not subscribed, even though I am. So I have to delete and reinstall, thereby losing my lists. This month I deleted and reinstalled and it still thinks I’m not subscribed. Were not for this problem it would be a great app.
