Just what I was looking for. Works beautifully.

Nice app. User friendly and convenient.

Easy to use and great for annotating. I’ve been using this app to analyze research papers, because it’s just like writing and highlighting on regular paper. Very helpful for classes, and taking notes.

Problem in saving. Hi This app is generally very useful and im eager to buy ultimate one. Theres a problem in saving pdf, especially las changes with typing tool. For example i annotate, save and close the pdf, when im back las annotation seems have been deleted

I love this app but one critique. I love this app for annotating my college textbooks! If you are a college student this would be PEFECT for you. I specifically like how when I highlight the text it automatically copies into the annotation section so I don’t have to write an entire new note or copy/paste into a google doc. However, I wish I can see the entire statement that I highlight in the annotation section of BOTA without having to go back onto the page in which I highlighted the statement to begin with. Also, there should be something to explain exactly what BOTA is. I got bookmark and annotations but not the other letters.

Good on the features, but lacking some software needs. The individual annotation options are awesome, the color variety is pretty good, and they all seem to work as they were designed to. The app crashes quite a bit, especially if you try to use the search feature, and if you haven't saved in a while, it can be a pretty big loss for your annotations. An auto-save would be really nice, especially since there is a tendency to crash. Also, the news screen and feed are the first things you see, when that's not what anyone is using the app for... it would be nice to have your documents be the primary screen and then if you're interested in kdan's articles, they'd still be available.

It’s ok. I use this app for my school work and when ever I try to writing some this to do my math it always has spikes coming out of the numbers and letters also then they want you to pay . Honestly girrrrrllllll. Your better of using paper or docs cause just like what the heck oh well i hope this review helps y’all byeeeee

Markup by Kdan Mobile. Updated review: Probably a good app; however, it's useless to me without an expensive annual (or monthly) subscription, which I simply cannot afford. I would consider a one-time purchase.

Freezes a few times but overall user friendly. Sometimes it freezes but it's simple, convenient and easy to use.

I love this application. Great for studying from a PDF. Makes highlighting and note taking very easy.

Dark mode….. For the love of all that is holy, change the value of your background color to something other than “burn retinas” or implement a dark mode. This should be a 5* app if it wasn’t for lack of dark mode and Superman set the hex value for the current background. He is literally the only one that could possibly stare at the screen for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Gets all my annotation done!. It’s simple and gets all my annotations done. As a teacher I love it for lesson planning!

Not lining up. When I try to highlight or underline text, it appears about an inch and a half to the left of my finger. Makes the app unusable for me. Any idea why that is happening?

Can Download PDFs that other iOS apps can’t. I often get pdf bills via email and view magazine articles that I have paid subscriptions to that I can’t save because the other pdf viewing apps can’t save the resulting PDFs. But Markup almost always works where most other pdf apps don’t.

Had high hopes but this app failed to meet them. Iwasplanning to use this for studying instead of printing hundreds of sheets of paper. The app would crash continuously or completely erase portions of highlights for no reason. Sometimes in the middle of the document so I had no idea until I scrolled up. It got to a point that the simple task of highlighting chapter would take three times longer instead of making things more efficient. I wanted it to work so badly, but when markups aren’t saved and there is no way to make progress saves, what’s the point? Back to paper I go.

Great. Makes things so easy to work with

Doesn’t recognize $59 subscription. So paid for the free app and cannot set up not save docs.. Going through the subscribe hoops. It doesn’t recognize my expensive yearly subscription. I verified my email. Nothing, app is still in limited free mode. I shut it down. Nothing. This should be simple and painless. Disappointed.

More like PDF CrashUp. This app will crash even if you so much as look at it wrong. Also why is the tool bar on the right hand side, should be on left; write with right tap controls with left (assuming non sinister handed).

What?. If this software just instantly solved this issue it is incredibly essential !

Account needed. Flawed business model.. you need an account to perform basic annotations. There is not need to have an account especially with the need to track what you annotate online ( there is a setting to turn this off).. many pdf annotation application allow conversion of sites into pdf There is no need to sign up for all these “features” especially with a subscription.. wrong on so many levels.

Not working. I like markup but at the moment the mark up tools are not popping up....

Just amazing. What did we ever do before we had cell phones? Better yet what did we do before we had this app?

Has a Lot or Features, But Some Are Badly Designed. I use markup for math PDFs that my school assigns me. However, after using the pen tool, it tries to “sharpen” the writing by making the tips of numbers sharper. That does not always help. Sometimes the middle of 3s stick out with a sharp point making it look weird and making it look not neat. It is annoying. Over that, it’s a fine app.

Locked out. I have the free version with only 9 files. I cannot unlock this. I’m getting the same message others have gotten to sign up for Kdan cloud to unlock file restrictions. More stars if you can tell me how to unlock without Kdan cloud.

Useless. Really that’s ur useless app and need subscribe !?!?! OMG u have to pay for use useless appp !!!!! Don’t waste ur time guys , find another free and better appp !!! HORRIBLE on iPad Pro 12.9 iOS 11 - REFUND. 1.) It takes 2 to 3 tries to make the smallest part of any letter or number appear on the screen. I do not need new nubs for my pen and my other apps recognize my Apple Pencil marks with perfect sensitivity. 2.) This app can’t handle the user switching from portrait to horizontal without RADICALLY distorting the handwritten characters you just filled in. 3.) This has one of the least intuitive interfaces if someone SIMPLY WANTS TO JUST FILL IN BLANKS ON A PDF FORM WITH THEIR APPLE PENCIL. 4.) This app is a rip and I want a refund ASAP.

Be prepared to lose a lot of work. This app is great when it works! But about every other session of using this app, it crashes and I lose PAGES of work. Even after saving individual edits, when the app crashes, I tend to lose a good portion of the already saved edits... Its 2017, figure out how to make your app auto save and not crash.

Markup. Easy to use and creates exactly what I need without difficulty

Love it. Gotta have it. Makes my life so much easier to keep organized! I love to capture websites and craft ideas in the moment so I can have later access to my collection!

Frequent crashes and lost work. This app has decent basic editing capabilities when it works. However, it crashes frequently resulting in a substantial amount of lost work even if you have been saving along the way. Really frustrating, and in my opinion not worth it.

Good App. PDF markup is a very versatile app that has helped me keep up with reading, making course banks, and for many other uses.

Great app for annotating documents. I needed an app to highlight and take notes and this app is perfect for this purpose. It is easy-to-use and very convenient!

Notification Nag. Another app that asks repeatedly for permission to send notifications. Sick of these. A productivity app is supposed to make you productive, but that's hard to do with disruptive nagging. It's like having a (stupid) coworker throw a glass of cold water in your face every time you want to save a page as a PDF.

Flattened PDF Saving Issue. I was using this app to mark up and annotate music scores. When I finally went to export the first score I annotated as a flattened PDF, it saved, but upon looking at the file ALL of the annotations had shifted in some way or boxes were filled when they were not originally. If this problem were fixed it would be a great easy to use app, but this issue defeats the purpose of using this app in the first place for me.

Does Not Work as Advertised. No way to import bookmark links for markup. Help files for using are not correct and confusing. Apps like this that waste peoples time with fancy advertising and fail to deliver need to disappear. It gets real old real quick.

Great app but problem with having more than a couple of files. I find this app great for my work with pdf files but after storing some files on the app I can not open and it says ‘want to store more file? Sign up to Kdan Cloud to unlock the file restriction’. Even though registration is free, if you do not want to get yet another cloud service you are trapped and I could not find information on the actual restriction as to find a way to work comfortably within he limits of it (is it number of files?if so, how many?) without this is definitely a 5 stars

Easy to use. Functionality is great.. Not much else to say. It does what it says and is a little more pleasant to work with (in general).

The app keeps forcing to leave a review. So here it is. Kinda in the middle of something, app. I do like it. Wish that (a) you could buy not subscribe and (b) there was less of that ‘online experience’. I just need to read and markup docs. I don’t need or want to be part of ecosystem.

Great for College!. This is the perfect app to download professor notes and use my iPad pencil to highlight, add notes pictures and it all saves in one great spot. I love everything about this app for the free download!

Working Features?. It shouldn’t be this difficult to see the claimed tools and features in action before a user makes a purchase. The onboarding experience is like a seamless gateway to make a purchase right away. No way to gauge if it’s even worth it or working as expected. Looking elsewhere. Thanks

Good PDF reader. Over all experience is good. Sometimes your hand writing on pdf might be altered after save, some of them just disappear. Need to be better on saving hand writing notes.

Enhances reading and annotating. I really enjoy the annotation and reading features of this app, as it makes note, taking highlighting, and overall pdf readings easy to follow and easily read on iPad! Great tool for college students

Finally an app that edits a PDF. I have done most of my editing right on my smart phone which is amazing. There are features to highlight, change font color etc and it's all very simple. I'm not a techie so I've done basic editing tasks however converting a PDF on your phone is an accomplishment. Good app

Scam. This app was initially free when I signed up for it in January with no further information provided by the developers that whatever documents you downloaded to it, were going to be hijacked and not allow you to access it until you sign up for their subscription which is $59. My seven day free trial is up today and I have been trying to cancel it. I now I have been charged with no way of getting a refund. I would have never downloaded documents into this app if I would have known that it was going to be like this.

An App That Responds To My Needs and More!. Not THE Best, but pretty darned good at the basics and beyond! I'm not the most gifted at speech writing, calling out the faults of one of anything over another, and come to think about it, I'm just not that crazy of creating a laundry list (I often wonder about the origin of this saying, "laundry list"; the heck you say! Ha, ha, You thought I was too insignificant to think this deep, didn't you?! Well here's not the place to toot a horn by or for the author of this review, since I've already exhausted a majority of my life, working day and night tireless, trying to find the answer! I have even earned more than one doctord it, so when I say this app is pretty, I mean it's beautiful; when I say this app is darn good, I mean what my doc say's to me; and when I say to my audience "not that crazy", you can bet , or better yet, Google my degrees of doctord it, for I've spent the majority of my years in Professional Academia and should have done better at "not that crazy, anymore"!) This app is really good!

why pdf size become so big after editing. it's all good except after i edited a 6mb big pdf and it grown to 46mb size after i saved the change?

Crashed and didn’t save. Don’t use this app. Spent a fair time editing a PDF and the app crashed and I had to start again. Shocking.

Your data is made public and your account can’t be deleted. Don’t use this app unless you are happy with your personal data being available for anyone to find online.

Total b.s.. Just make it a pay only app it's such a waste of time to download and not be able to plug and play right away and it's all web based.

Good app but needs improvement. This is a good app, but it needs improvement. For example, file management is not easy. You cannot access OneDrive, but can with GDrive. When a file is copied into the app, you cannot move that file into a folder, you got to copy it and then erase the original one. A bit annoying. No left swapping on a file name to offer options like erasing, for example. No drag and drop. Also, what makes me giving it one star is the fact that you have to open a KDan Cloud access to store more files! Deuh! I don’t want to open another cloud drive. Let me stock locally as much as my iPad can hold!!! Or sell me an app that will, but don’t force me to open a cloud stuff somewhere in space!!!

Best PDF complete app. I have over 10 pdf apps. This the in top 3. Keep going. Raise the bar higher. Let your customers be really happy.

No terrible, but not great.. Extremely frustrating to use. Nearly impossible to draw with. Needs new system for making and selecting lines, shapes, and anything else you create. Very hard to use even with a $130 Stylus. You can do better!

Suddenly Asking Me To Pay!. I got this app a while ago and it’s been great for all of the online readings in my courses. I just started a new course yesterday and suddenly it’s telling me I have to pay before I can open anymore files. I have gone in and deleted all of my old files so I shouldn’t be near the 500mb free limit. How annoying!!

Does not properly mask confidential information!. I do not typically write reviews for apps, but I wanted to let everyone know. I downloaded this app to cover up my account number on my bank statement for a future lender, however when I viewed the document as a PDF in my iCloud Drive, the mark that I had made took a second to load before it appeared, exposing my entire account number! This happened every time I scrolled down to the next page. When I viewed the same exact document in another PDF viewer, the mark up that I had made was actually lower than it appeared in this particular app. I am uninstalling it now and would not advise using this to protect confidential information.

SCAM. i have somehow been locked into paying $20 a month for this useless app and i have not been able to find a way to cancel the subscription.

Best PDF app. You store, rename, highlight, search, annotate, etc... It's exactly what it says. I hope the developers add features like creating tables/charts & inserting pictures or even converting docs/pics to pdf.

Can’t adjust display in reading epubs. Can’t use it to read comics

Love The App. One small thing. When I select the option to high light something. Using say color yellow you can see through it. Can you change it for black. Cause when I highlight in black I want to block it out completely. Sure others do to.

Also, I like the idea of a PDF copy saved of all my documents, photos, notes, etc... just in case something happens to the original application OR the actual tech device, and data/ photos etc. are lost forever. why the pen colors are much less???. there are only 6 colors left and it is not enough to use. Please add more colors!!!

Great App. I need to be able to make notes in my PDF when I study. This app is great and very user friendly. I can prepare my document such as an agenda ahead of time and be totally ready to take timely notes as key points are discussed.

Perfect for my needs. I needed to be able to read, highlight, organize and reference PDF files easily, this meets my needs and has a scan function also.

The mark up are not saved. I was pleased with this app at first but then I realized that all of my mark up on the PDF are not saved.

Simple elegant and easy to use. Very easily lets any off file to edit and the pdf reader is stunning. Editing anything or just signing documents is real easy now.

Amazing app. Most apps that have a premium version only allow a couple of features without paying. This app allows you to have all the features for free that are necessary. Premium provides you with an additional storage method and four or five additional features that aren't necessary. Good job on this app!

Best free file storage app. I use this app to store and share all of my work documents. I couldn't be more pleased with its features and capabilities. Also, I like that you get free cloud storage and lots of viewable documents if you sign up for a free account with Kdan. I literally use this app every day, it's a staple.

Clunky. Clunky, doesn’t play nice with Apple Pencil. Hard pass.

Much better options available. Interface is flukey, and emailing edited files is a pain. Once they do send, files arrive corrupt. GoodReader is much better.

I like the UI. This is the most beautiful PDF annotating app I've ever seen. As a interior designer, sometimes I have to use PDF annotating apps to view materials. After survey for quite a few similar apps,I love the interface and the various functions it supports. Especially you are able to change opacity and width of free hand writing. This feature is helpful and easy to use when I have to do markups on the pictures. Love it so I gave five stars, will definitely recommend my colleague to download it.
