Nothing received after purchase. I truly enjoyed this game up until I had one move left on the mystic ruins, but ran out of moves. Naturally, I couldn’t let this slide so I attempted to make a small in-game purchase. The selections were just like every other game so I just went for the closest to $5. I went through the whole purchase, and my iPhone even had the successful purchase pop-up. I waited for a few minutes for the game to catch up. It never showed anything so I went back into the bank and made the $1 purchase just to double check. I’ve given the game more than enough time to show my purchased gems(a few days). It’s a shame, I really liked this search and find and it’s storyline. It really is on the better side of the search and find games on phones. I know $6 is not anything to be worked up about but I’d hate for someone throw a ton of money at it to get nothing in return. Maybe a developer will see this and patch it hopefully. If you’re not about spending money on an app, this is a great one!

I truly enjoy this game as well as storyline!. It seems like a fantastic game, however, with this game as well as any other through G5 the object seems to get harder and harder to accomplish because your necessities run out all too quickly, thus an offer to buy items is offered. I have to have my money for real life items such as needs for hygiene as well as necessities for everyday life. I just love these ganes to escape my own hell... yet, here we are... ahhh, the awesome fight of life takes so much more precedence over reality mundane to now virtual mundane...

Interesting but…. I am just starting with this game-similar In form to some other of your games I like. One problem, though; I can read the other games whereas your print is really small. I get a headache every time I try to play. Next issue; when the natural food store is set to shadow mode, the shadows are invisible. I know they’re supposed to be more difficult than pictures but, on my phone at least, it’s pretty ridiculous!

Too little actual game play. The problem with this game, as with most games by this company, is that you spend most of your time just being led around by the nose. You read some text, then the game tells you -- and gives you no other choice -- to tap here, then tap here, then tap here, tap here, tap here, it just goes on and on and on and on and on, tap here, tap here, maybe a little more text, then tap here, tap here, tap here . . . Then you get to spend a few seconds finding three objects, then it's back to some reading, and tap here, tap here, tap here . . . It's nothing but frustrating. It's really not a hidden objects game, it's a tap where the arrow points game.

Latest update. Don’t know if the problem was made in the latest update, but there’s something wrong with “The Sheeps Tavern.” When you have to find two items of a kind, this happened twice already, first there only has one cigar, now there only was one scoop. I used all the tools to search for the pair, in “order,” but only retrieved one of them each time I played. Now, this wouldn’t matter if you didn’t have to use the coils/magnet (?) to retrieve the last item because it doesn’t have a pair in the search field.

Love and hate. I’ve been playing this game for over a year and really love it; however it has now stopped working for the second time in a couple of months. It comes up normally and all of the pop ups wanting you to spend money, etc. come up as usual. But alas, nothing else works. I am playing on an iPad mini 2 and have no problems with the other games. Even shutting it down doesn’t work. Hate not being able to continue.

Too dark.. G5 games tend to have very opaque visuals so, compared with other hidden objects games, one can barely find them and get through rounds. Of course, this looks like a cheap trick to make one give up, use tools, then have to spend money purchasing even more of them in order to advance. If it’s not and G5 is really invested in client satisfaction, then this should be addressed. And reading other comments here reminded me that I, too, have encountered the problem that objects don’t budge when you tap them except with a lot of effort and often not at all. This means that time runs out on one and can also mislead because it instills doubt that it is the right object, sending one to others. I don’t know if this is deliberate or a technical glitch, but, again, something G5 should be looking into. If they read these comments, that is.

Tragedy. This game would be great fun if it weren’t for the fact that to win a new avatar in the challenges that they have a player would have to spend about $100 or more. The graphics are great and the basic ghosts are generally a challenge to get rid of, but not impossible. To get one memento for the WinterWitch you have to go into Whitewalls as many as five times before you get one. Sure you can buy 650 snowflakes for twenty bucks a pop, but when you use 20 every single time you enter Whitewalls you would use all of them up long before you’d eliminate her. I’m taking away 2stars, because I feel it’s a tragedy, the challenges shouldn't be so impossible. When it comes to having a new avatar it should be something you can attain and there are too many ads for buying stuff you don’t absolutely need to win the challenges. I’m taking away 1 more star because when a player goes in everyday to win the daily prize to build the wasp piece if you aren’t close to the 24 hour mark from the last time you entered the game it won’t give you your piece or coins or energy for the day. I entered the game everyday for the 5 days and at one point it said I had skipped a day when I hadn’t. What the heck is up with that? I shouldn’t have to wait until midnight on a work night to enter the game to get my days in.

Latest update made game too easy. I’ve had this game for a few months, and it was a fun way to kill time. However, the new update has taken away any challenge there may have been to the game. In the previous version, after getting to the second level at each site, a second room would be available. You would have to find the listed objects in the first room to open the second room, and then more time would be added to the clock and you had to find additional items in the second room order to win. Now, only one room is available when you go to a site, with way more “hidden” objects to find and more time on the clock. But with so many objects to find, you don’t even need to look at the caches to see what your searching for. Just tap any random object that sort of stands out and you’re done. There’s no pressure because its literally impossible not to find them all in the time allotted. Also, you’re wasting the same amount of energy as before to enter each site, but with less actual game play since you’re only searching in one room; before you used the same amount of energy for double the game play since you got to search two rooms. The whole point of the game is to find hidden objects in a scene, and now you barely get to do that at all and when you do it’s ridiculously easy. Disappointing. I’m not even motivated to play anymore. Probably going to delete soon.

Frustrating. I really enjoy this game and have played it for a couple of years or so. Love the graphics although some items are really small for my 66 year old eyes to see. I’ve found I can enlarge the screen on my iPad mini but almost always I can get a few items found and the game closes on me. Now, it’s closing on me whether I enlarge the screen or not. I’ve shut off the iPad and turned it back on, cleared the cache (which wiped out all my progress on another game I play), deleted the game and reinstalled it ... all to no avail. I’m ready to call it quits because I now spend more time getting back into the game than actually playing it.

New at this one. Challenging. Haven’t been playing long. Don’t quite understand everything but starting to catch on as I play. Need lots of practice bc I can’t finish any locations before time expires, but you don’t have to start over when u go back into that location. Only have to finish collecting the items that are left, so that’s a big plus!! Don’t have to buy more time to be able to collect everything from each location. Getting lots of rewards. Having difficulty identify the objects you need to look for & in find them in the grey scenery.

Lots of style, less substance. The advertisement pulled me in with the amazing graphics, and generally scarier feel — which I like — than I’ve seen in other hidden object games. I was looking for something genuinely creepy, with a nice steampunk feel and this seemed like it would pay off, with high quality graphics and FX to boot. It’s not a particularly scary story, though, and the characters and locations don’t offer anything new in what could be a really rich, compelling world. The quests are unnecessarily complex, with multiple ingredients and steps, and none of these extra mechanics really add to the gameplay or the story. I’m locked into a female character, I can’t go back and change my name or customize my avatar, and there’s no opportunity to get out of the on-rails dialogue, none of which offers much player character story progression, or progression or development for NPCs either. Seeing the ad, I was hoping for more. The base mechanics are fine, the visuals are great. The rest? Eh. It wouldn’t take much to pare this game down to really fun mechanics, and to amp up the story to be scary, compelling and personal to the player.

Addictive but designed to make them $. Liked the game and played for a couple of years before writing this review. Graphics are great, but search items are very repetitive. They real should mix it up, because screens have so many possibilities. Some quested are unrealistic because…especially in order to win you have to acquire screens that are hard too come by in the rotation….especially when they wants pairs three days in a row. If this is your thing...know big $ are required unless you are super skilled and want blow the money..I passed. This is suppose to be fun! Ads between games get annoying. Fun in the beginning, but for me it got old. Think it is time to quit. Like a challenge but 3 days of pairs screen have chased me away

Great Hidden Object Game. This game is very versatile with numerous stories going on at once. It would be confusing if there weren’t arrows to guide you on where to go next. The objects are very challenging and they move each time so you must always be searching. You get enough energy but the rubies can go quickly and aren’t earned easily but if you don’t want to wait to earn more you can purchase them for $1.99 or $4.99 which is reasonable. I’m enjoying the challenge!

Used to Be Fun. This game used to be fun, but since the last few updates it’s been virtually impossible to finish finding all the objects in a room. Almost to the point where I feel like I’m searching for something that’s not there. Since I don’t spend any money to buy anything I’m ok with it taking longer to achieve accomplishments, but lately I feel like the game has been set to never let you successfully complete a room unless you spend money. I just literally tried to win a room 10 times in a row and failed every time. I’m ok with a little extra challenge or it taking longer if you don’t spend money. I’m not ok with the game being so hard it’s impossible to ever progress. Some rooms have so many objects now you barely have time to look at them all before time runs out, much less find a specific list of items, especially if they’re in the silhouette mode. If it continues to be impossible to win I’ll probably delete the game. After all, what’s the point?

Little disappointed but overall good. Big fan of G5. Love the graphics and their concepts are generally good. This game, as are many of their games, is a hidden objects games with a twist. I played secret society for years until computer crashed and never really got back into it. Loved that game. This is similar but, I am finding that this is less generous with rewarding the player with occasional food for energy and the collections, so far, are harder to fill and also give less rewards. The take home is the player ends up having to spend more money to keep playing. Only on level 17 so, maybe it will get better. I hope so because always liked G5 because they rewarded the player and didn’t seem like they were all about making money. Also, and this really bothered me on secret society as well, I HATE THAT WHEN YOU LEVEL UP IT TAKES ALL OF THE POINTS YOU HAVE’NT USED PREVIOUSLY!!! Granted it raises you to your maximum energy score +5 but, energy points are hard to come by and you don’t want to lose any especially if you bought food to get them. Please fix this!!!! Additionally, I agree with some of the other reviews: you need to allow more time especially, since you are having to flip from thing to thing and it’s not all listed out like it was in secret society. Thanks for your hard work G5 developers you create good stuff.

Victorian Steampunk Search & Find. This game takes some charming aesthetics from the steampunk genre and sets you in Victorian England to look into the ghostly specters haunting the town. The visuals are mostly stills, but they set the tone appropriately and are fun to explore. As far as gameplay goes, G5 borrows from it's go-to gig of "Search & Find" to fill in the meat of your activity time, though for an app game on the run, that's not necessarily a bad thing. The gameplay of the current version is an update from a older version that had you looking for tedious items to open doors and locks, and much of the logic behind figuring out where things go or what to use them for often made little or no sense. This version removes that rigamarole for simply finding items and *ta-da* there's that thing you're looking for! The only downside to the game is that it can get dull and repetitive, and the game hasn't expanded much in the world it has created. And that's a real shame because the idea of ghost hunting in Victorian England with a little steampunk flourish is a wonderfully fun idea, something that could easily have countless possibilities added on to it. Overall, if Victorian Steampunk Ghost Hunting is your style, than this will be a lovely addition to your tablet or iPhone. (And in the meantime, I strongly urge G5 to revisit and expand on this world, because the concept is too big for just a few locations.)

Nice Concept.... I’ve played several G5 games and this one seemed to have an interesting story line. The graphics are good as with other G5 games I like. The story starts off a bit cliché and tedious, with what I would say are too many instructions to get the idea of what you need to look for. You have to collect this, that, and the other thing seems like a few times to get rid of the phantom or whatever. I just started and it already seems repetitive. To find the shards, it just shows you where to click, which seems to defeat the purpose of “finding” things for me. When you click on them, it also covers up a portion of the scene, so you know already the objects are not going to be *right there*. I like a little more challenge to figure things out and less instructions to explain gameplay. I’ll see how it progresses. Guessing this is one game I’ll play now and then, but not consistently due to repetitiveness of tasks. Would like to see it reworked some to make quests include less steps and more challenge.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!. For the second time I am going to have to delete this game...I am over 50% through and after stopping game play-as it made it impossible to try to find items at Mr. Dumba$$ Kipples, it ran my energy out-wanting me to purchase more-which I won’t -and now I cannot select anywhere to play on the game...it is all there-I just can’t play. So freaking annoying. Why would I even buy energy if I cannot get into use it-or, is this how you ‘weed out’ free players? I could care less-I am done with it. There are plenty of other free games to play that do not treat people this way. It WAS a nice game but not worth these headaches.

A rookies review!. I got refered to this game by a friendly player from my other games..thanks..(Star1)..but i find that this is the same kind of ..beating around the bush kind of genre ,to find a simple object or character..so as to eventually cooerce the player to do the easy thing and spend money to acheive there goal.I know that everything can't be free and that the developers don't work for nothing..but at least give the player a chance to progress in way that makes everyone enjoy a pleasant experience!

Fun but worried that there’s nothing new. I’ve been playing for a while now and I’m on the last specter that’s listed and I can tell that the story isn’t ending. I love playing and the story is thrilling but I’m worried it’s just going to stop after I finish this specter. I hope the game gets updated because it would be a shame if it doesn’t.

Paranormal. This game may be good for you if you have I pad, but not for cell phones.. And they may introduce items you’re searching for at last moment, or not at all ( possibly suggesting the the item may exist on ghostly plane, as opposed to the plane of reality you’re searching ). They use terminology for items you may not be familiar with, or if the item is there, you may only see a corner of the object, and have no clue what you’re looking at.. They reward you, but not with items you really need, or very few of said items such that, you’ll constantly be buying with real cash . This game should be improved more!

Loved the game until it started cheating. Fun hidden object game that I would have easily given 4 stars. I just discovered that this game cheats. In particular you are asked to find objects that aren’t actually in the scene. How do I know? I just used 2 magnifying glasses to find a pair of Billiard Balls in the Tavern. In both cases, the magnifying glass showed the one ball I’d already found, but not the other. Therefore, only one of the two balls were in the scene. (In the pair matching scenes, the magnifying glass highlights the pair of objects.) Are they really cheating us out of resources? Or did their QA miss a bug? I don’t know. I’ve dropped a few dollars and a few hours playing this game, but no more. Your mileage may vary. In any case, hidden object games are dime a dozen in the App Store. I moved on, and I recommend you do the same.

Downloading it again 😔😑💢. I like this game, cause it really helps work my brain more faster and observation too. But... but when my iPad died (I have it for 7 years, the battery died and it can't be fixed) I have to buy a new one, so I downloaded again but what I don't like is that all what I did (to the point to fight the witch) is gone and I have to star again that is frustrating me a lot. Also I hate to fight so many times the stupidest ghost animals so many times just to get the object in order to banish the ghost to the point that sometimes I don't want to play it cause I don't want to be frustrated.

Game is a fun way to kill some time. BUT YOU NEED TO DO AN UPDATE !!!. I am enjoying playing the game I’m on level 157. Now that I’m at that level I’m getting no where new nor finding a way to finish the game. Plus you only offered some of the specters once at the beginning of the game. I did not have the opportunity to capture them & now that I am finally find the needed items I can’t complete them… I have spent money so it not like I’m asking for something free. I just wish you would offer the seasonal specters again (durning those seasons would be fine). I am just really doing the daily challenges when I have some down time. I’d really like to complete the game, I’ve been playing for over two years & it’s starting to get to boring. I tried one of the other games but it just had too many things to do daily & I don’t have 2-3 hours a day to waste, nor do I want to spend any further money on that game while I still have tons of rubies (that I’ve already paid for) on this game. Please consider doing an update & offering an opportunity to finish finding the other characters. Thank you!!

Paranormal Society. I'm trying to catch on, but maybe I'm too old for this!?! I spend way too much time and money on Hidden Objects and thought that this might be an easy-to- understand break from that, while staying in the same genre. I'm going to hang in there until I catch on, and will update my stars then.3/7/18-catching on. I feel that this is a big rip off. I just paid ( I don't remember what, but it wasn't cheap) to enter a room that isn't open. The fiesta room. Not fair. Plus in this game and the other "hidden object game " I'm in the game forgets that I was there the day before and I had to pay to restore my play. These games are very expensive. Please take care of this and restore my rubies in both games.

Nothing ever changes…. I love the beauty of the scenes and the characters, however, I have been doing the same things for a year. No new scenes, people, or anything. I defeat the same spirits over and over again in the same set ups. New building g never open and the ghost chasers have abandoned me. I play faithfully, make purchases, and do all I should be doing, but it’s obvious that nothing will change as I look at the dates of these reviews. I have purchased hints and when they are all gone I’ll be deleting this app. Truly as shame.

So far, so good. I’ve noticed that these games request feedback before a player really has a chance to know the game. But so far, it seems like a pretty good game. I have one complaint that runs across all games and all distributors, why are men no longer included as protagonists? Every game I’ve played for years has the primary character being a female. I know it used to be that women were entirely absent as main characters, but is the answer now to completely eliminate men?

Like it but hate it. Okay, so far I do enjoy hunting out ghosts and spectres in this game. The graphics and sceneries are very well made... But there are some really frustrating moments as I play the game which I do hope you’ll understand why I’m writing these few complaints... 1: I hate how you only have 3 minutes to find all the items in each area. I don’t know how anyone else is dealing with it, but I feel like that is hardly enough time to find everything on the items list. 2: By far 1-3 items of any kind in my experience seems that are too well hidden, it’s almost like they weren’t there at all. And 3: Out of the three difficulties in finding items, such as a regular list, finding the shapes, what I found most irritating is trying to find them in the dark with so little light.. It’s really too dark... Now, I am aware you can buy helpful items in the shop, but I refuse to buy the gems in order to get them...

Too Difficult Too Find. The game and graphics are really great but why I don’t like about it is it’s too dark to try and find the items which takes up majority of the time, from there you would have to spend way too much o buy rubies to be able to continue the game plus you have to wait for your energy to Ui.d back up before you can play the game. You say the game is but it really isn’t because you have to spend too much money on purchases even if you wanted to banish the anomaly you would have to buy rubies. Constantly buying rubies I have actually bought the game. There’s time when I don’t want to play the game because of the expense, too dark, the silhouette is hard to find, and there’s not enough time to search for the items especially in the dark mode. It’s just cost too much to play these hidden objects game. They’re fun but too expensive.

Special Quests. The game is very entertaining, but there is a problem with the Chinese New Year Quest and it has been happening every day. When I am in the Golden Blossom and run out of time, the game locks up on my I Pad. This happens on an daily basis and I have to reboot the I Pad and loose any rubies and green dragons spent on that level. I have been buying rubies in order to keep playing to finish the quest before the time runs out. This is a huge problem with the game as I am entering the rooms with the special items several time a day with no results. Even the chance of earning bonus items, energy boosts, etc is little to NONE. I seriously doubt I will be able to finish this quest in the 10 days left due to this daily set back.

So far, so good. I'm a big fan of G5. Usually their games are fun and interesting. I've just started this one but I am enjoying it. A couple of small issues. Time seems relatively short compared to items that need to be found and since all the items that need to be found are not readily seen, I feel like I am going back and forth. Also the items you are searching for are sometimes difficult to decipher exactly what they are. That being said this seems to be an interesting game with a good storyline.

You get what you pay for. I enjoyed the art style and the music but the scenes are a bit too dark to see, and sometimes objects are barely visible making them too difficult to find. Because of these things there’s not enough time to complete the challenges, and using the special tools to find objects costs a ruby, which are hard to come by unless you want to spend money. You definitely can’t win a seasonal challenge to get the cool portraits when playing for free... the locations require multiple visits to get the items needed. You also run out of energy much too quick to play more than a few challenges, and again, the energy replenishers you can buy also require rubies. And of course, to even do a challenge requires multiple different items which... you need to do another challenge for, spending energy. TL;DR you can play this game for free but you won’t be able to progress in the seasonal events without paying money left and right and you have to be extremely patient to play the other quests. You can only play this game for a few minutes at a time unless you happen to have very keen eyes and a lot of luck. Not as playable as it could be.

March 2018 Update Has Ruined The Game. This was one of my favorite games. However, in March 2018 the updated the game making it exponentially more difficult. It was already hard at higher levels but now if you don’t spend a lot of money on helper items it’s near impossible. I was ok spending a little money from time to time, but now it’s ridiculous how difficult they’ve just made it. Don’t waste your time, find a game from a different developer. If G5 is reading this, what were you thinking?!!! Either roll back that update or significantly increase the amount of time allowed to find objects under your new restrictive cache-less system.

Started out awesome! Now, not so much.. I used loved this game! Rated it a 5 Star, until the crazy updates. I like games that I can actually accomplish a level once in awhile! If not, I just won’t play, your loss, not mine. Honestly I haven’t opened up this game in months until today to see if things have improved. Nope! Seriously, why are the objects soooooooo transparent? Whose bright idea was it to cram as much junk into one room as comically possible to try to “hide” an object? I’ll check in again to see if things have improved.

Better than most hidden object games.. Like usual, it’s got pay to win junk in it but you can play for a long time before running out of resources. I like the concept. I had that the option to zoom in is there. That just makes it harder. I’m on an iPhone 7 and you have to make sure you move the screen around to see everything, even when it is zoomed all the way out. But it’s a small thing. I like it.

Steampunk Decor!. I love the steampunk Victorian bits & pieces! They look so realistic. However, some I couldn’t recognize, much less find them when looking for objects! Like the sextant; I didn’t know what it should look like, and some other things.... it’s a bit confusing at times. Also, when going from one area to another, there are sometimes hints there, but the page changes so fast I can’t even read them. I’m just starting, but I hope it’s not comprised of me having buy a bunch of stuff for no real reason, until I run out of money and can’t play anymore. I understand you developers want to earn money, but things get so expensive that it’s not affordable and we have to quit! I hope that’s not what happens here! The game should depend more on our ability to solve a puzzle rather than how much we can buy!!! So far, so good. I hope it continues!

Fun For Awhile Then Disappointing. Love the concept and graphics but eventually it gets too difficult. Some of the locations are very monochromatic making the objects, which are again often the same color, impossible to find in the allotted time. Earning coins and rubies to buy tools to help you get past these humps is very slow so I’m sure the objective here is to get you to spend money. One of the tools, the compass, even wastes times as it spins for seconds and barely highlights the object. I guess the point is to hook you so you’ll spend money to proceed but I’ll end up moving on to another game.

Can’t recommend for older hardware. Even though the App Store says it works on my hardware, games like this require the fastest processor and lots of ram. I had played some G5 games in the past, but the newer games don’t work well on an iPad mini 2. It crashes, and gets really slow when I zoom in on a location or move between locations. Requires quitting all running apps, force quits and restarts. I’m sure they work much better on newer iPads. That said, this game is pretty much like other hidden object games, like Seekers Notes. You go to locations over and over, use energy, collect things to get awards. You can play without spending money, just know you’ll run out of energy in half and hour or so. It’s very pretty, lots of detail, great artwork and animation.

Love This Game. I love the storyline and the graphics. I enjoy playing and hunting for the artifacts to solve the mystery. I go out of my world of stress and go into the game and get into that world for just the time I play. I hate it when I have to return back and go back to do my regular routine. But can’t wait to go back and become the paranormal investigator and solve more quests and receive the items and rewards to advance in this beautiful illustrated game.

Extremely boring. I've played this game for over a year and it's the same old thing, over and over: find hidden objects (almost impossible to find as they blur objects into backdrops); follow some dumb ghost or monster around for weeks and months; read stupid, nonsensical dialog by "ghost hunters"; collect objects; then start it all over again. Just a big bore. Don't waste your money on the "rubies." They NEVER make an effort to make the game appropriate to holidays as do other games such as GummyDrop. A game about GHOSTS never acknowledges Halloween or lifts a finger to try and make the experience fun or interesting!! Same boring scenes except when they want to add more objects and less time to find them. They just wound this thing up and let it go hoping it will be a money pit for players. Never looking at it again. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Boycott until they make an effort and offer perks!!

This game is amazing but needs another update. I’ve been playing the game for at least 5 years now and I’m at the point where there really isn’t anything to do in the game anymore other than the daily challenges. I’ve completed basically the whole game but I haven’t been able to finish the event spectres because they are unavailable at the moment and I always thought those spectres were the coolest but at that time I wasn’t able to get them and ever since then I’ve been hoping and wishing that there would be another update coming but after 3 years I don’t think there will be. But please we need another update because this game is amazing!!!!

Love. I just love this game, I started playing when it first came out. Though I am a bit sad because before you could interact. For the example in order to find the objects you had to move things around, unlock, and dissemble things in order to find the objects. But other than that I love love this game it gets my mind to work

Great If You Like Ghost-Hunting and Finding Things. So far, this is a fun game of finding objects and banishing ghosts in a mysterious and interesting world setting. The music is one of the things I enjoy the most...very haunting, eerie at times, and peaceful. It's a good mix of difficult and easy things to find. I find most of the intriguing objects very quickly, but there are usually one or two that are quite tricky to locate. Overall, nothing annoying or unfair, so I give it five stars. :) Just a note that it's awesome how you can use magnifying glasses to reveal where something is, hourglasses to give more time, and compasses to show you the direction to look...very nice touch. If I think of any suggestions or complaints, I will write another review once I get further along in the game.

Fun game, but.... I like this game better than many of the other hidden picture games I have played. Two things are starting to get really annoying though... First, the ads get worse the longer I play. They pop up when I log on between searches, sometimes in multiples. I don’t mind dropping a couple bucks to buy a good app (and eliminate ads altogether) but these micro-transactions end up souring a game for me. I stopped playing the Trapped on an Island game because the ONLY way to progress was to pay cash. It was a candy crush clone hiding in a cool story, and the story was cool enough that I lasted for a while. Second, the special seasonal specters are impossible to get because the algorithm distributing rewards seems to be set for very low percentages. Again, it’s clear that the ONLY way to get them is to pay cash. In both cases, say that up front. “If you pay us $20 you’ll complete this quest. It just seems like G5 cares only about profits and don’t care much about the actual gameplay. I still like this one, though. But if these get worse I’ll find another.

Fun & Relaxing. I haven’t played a hidden objects game in years since the last time I had use of my home computer. My mother recently had one of your games on her iPhone and she let me play on it a little. I really enjoyed playing your hidden objects game but the thing that I liked most is that I could zoom the screen and find the objects. So, I looked for it and am now enjoying playing your games on my iPhone.

Great Game, needs improvements. The game is really good and I have fun enjoying it but I’m stuck currently on the winter event because I don’t have enough chargers to charge a collection. While the game is really good it’s hard to get gems without paying, but making most of the collections tend to give you gem rewards like magifnying glasses and lamps for dark scenes. When it comes to energy, it is spent quite quickly when you go higher up in level, but in comparsion with other games it actually is regenerated quite quickly. (3 mins instead of 5.) so that’s very nice.

Love the game but I hate the Mystic Runes. I give this game a four star, although I love this game so much that I became obsessed with the hidden object game and the paranormal, but I hate the Mystic Runes where you have to match up the runes by color and sometimes I really don’t want to spend so much money on diamonds for that’ I mean back then they didn’t have it and I love it! now they suddenly install it, so I was wondering if you could if you could put the game back to the way it was without the Mystic Runes, then I will give this game a 5 stars. Than You! No pressure though 😊

Sorely disappointed. I’ve been playing this game for awhile. I’m on the 57th level and it’s become exceedingly obvious that the developers are now solely interested in taking your money. I would understand this is they were doing it in a way that was even half way fair. However that is not the case! They are blatantly making it more and more unlikely that you can finish a quest. They keep piling on ridiculous ways to just outright take your money if you wish to continue with the game. Well they’ve shown me it’s time to stop. Fair warning…the further you go in the game the much higher the drain of your resources (ie..your money). It’s become a rip off and I’m sorry to see that. Greed always seems to win out. Fairness is out the window. Completely! Don’t say you weren’t warned!!

Enjoyable, but.... I’m enjoying the game, but the little clues at the start of each location, disappear too quickly to be read. Also, there are no opportunities to get/find/earn rubies. The ability to earn coins, etc, is easy enough, but not so for rubies. Everyone who enjoys games, doesn’t necessarily have expendable money to spend on in-app purchases. It would be nice if you gave a little thought to those people, as well. One last thing, I’m playing this game because I enjoy searching for the items. This game has very short lists, which limits the fun, imo. Why is it that I have several tools, etc, in my inventory that I’ve earned, but have to PAY to use them with RUBIES. The same rubies that are so hard to earn? Thank you. *I would like to add that I’m very grateful for the amount of time you give for finding the items on the list in the scene. I’m slow & I appreciate that you give ample time to hunt down those hard-to-find items. Especially in the early levels, like where I’m at, around level 30 or so. Thank you.

Non existent support. I have enjoyed the game but you do spend money. Also there is a mistake when you get to a certain level in the Sheep Tavern and I have wasted about 60 purchased rubies try to find the elusive second object that does not exist and even though I have emailed the developer....nothing has been done. Under consumer law in Australia this is illegal as the game does not deliver what it states. The developer is only interested in your in app purchases money spent.

Enjoying this game.. So far I am doing well and I love the gameplay. Interesting without being too difficult. Don’t need to spend a fortune to progress, unlike some other games.

If I have one complaint it is that the game moves between levels slowly but the developers can improve the games pace easily - As this is the only fault I can find with this game it puts Paranormal Society along with the other G5games in a league above the rest!!

It is intriguing But!. I’m finding it so hard to get through a quest without spending money. And it all adds up to be an expensive game. I love it Also Though I don’t think there is quite enough Time to get through the three sets of items you must find, in order to get anywhere in a set. It could do with a little more time on our sides because you’re nearly there maybe one or two items left to find. And red light STOP And if you want to continue , more Money again. Good game. I enjoy the game but not usually enough time find then objects especially in silhouette and Spotlight mode. Then run out of energy and have to buy more too often or stop play! This can be frustrating .

Addictive. It is early days for me with playing this game, but it's very addictive. I love these type of games and G5 have many of these that I enjoy playing regularly. Paranormal Society. Prior to the update, I was at a level over 160. As I could not access the game, after many attempts, and losing all progress, I deleted it. Though, the updated version is certainly more appealing. I wonder though, if there is a way to restore my progress.

Nearly Impossible. Nearly impossible to find the objects required, especially in the nighttime mode. It would be good if there was a dictionary were you could look up or view the objects you need to find in the help section, As some of the objects I have never heard of before. Or if you can’t find an object in the required time, perhaps show where the object was. In the ‘shape mode’ one of the clue is a rectangle, there are several options to choose from, it is hard to tell which one they are referring too

New updates. Paranormal keeps crashing since the new updates - at least, on my cell. Plus, the changes in the sites, miles toooooooo many added objects to sort thru, on the iPhone 4s my screen is way too small to see anything. Sad but the game is becoming unplayable.

Fun but repetitive. I am enjoying the increased challenge of the game, but having to earn entrance tokens in a very limited number of locations makes it boring and repetitive. How many times should I have to visit to visit the same location and then the phantoms are in those locations, too. Some graphics are pretty bad, too. The temple of fertility and the golden blossom are really bad on a tablet.

Dead end. I really loved this game. It helped me decompress before bed. I loved how even if you’ve searched the same room 100 times, it would still give you a challenge. What I’m really upset about is how the phantom beasts that I need to banish so that I can get the right items to move onto new spectres. Well all of my phantom beasts have gone to rooms that I have not been able to afford yet and so I’m basically stuck at a dead end. Bummed.

Entertaining without working too hard. I really like this game because they are generous with the amount of energy they provide, as well as the variety and frequency of new quests/activities. You're never bored, and you don't have to come back day after day to move on quickly to the next stage!

Why is time so short?. It has become frustrating to find hidden items as the time has shorten and the number of items have increased along with the number required to complete the level. Can this be fixed? Can the setting somehow include the ability to lengthen time based on the skill level of individual? You have a great game but it does need a little modifications to help older people enjoy the full benefits of the game.

Fun but becomes difficult. The game is a mental challenge once you get past the beginning games. However, they sometimes are too hard and can’t keep advancing easily.

What happened since the recent update. Ever since the update issued on April 5 I have not been able to play my game. I love playing this game and am now ready to delete it. I have done everything I can think of. From turning my phone off, signing out and then back in and checking for current updates. Which is how I know this is currently updated. I’ll give it a few more days and I’m deleting this game. I have a few other games from this company. I hope they don’t drop the ball on those games.

Fraudulent. I enjoyed this game for a while, thought it was well constructed and fair, so I spent 99 cents to keep going. It wasn’t long after that I discovered that it is buggy and/or just plain fraudulent. I used power ups that expired long before they were due, and the grinding involved in this game even after you have paid is ludicrous. I am surprised Apple is keeping these shifty developers in their store and am considering a new provider more and more with this lack of screening.

Love the game but. I love your games. They are very fun. However, I do wish there were more puzzle similar to escape games. I feel like it would be a great combination to have a long game like this be escape game interactive. That way we can have more than just look for items.

What’s going on!. Where is the new characters?! This game has been stuck in lack of progress mode for almost a year. I’ve been waiting patiently for new stories and spectators to banish but no progress has been done. I play hidden city which is constantly updated with new story lines. If they don’t create new content soon I’m leaving the game and deleting the app.

Battery killer. This game is fairly charming. It’s not great but will occupy me while I’m unable to access Hidden City. I would enjoy it more if I wasn’t concerned about the battery. After a few minutes the phone physically gets warm. At that point I shut it down. I had an app kill the battery in another phone so I’m not about to risk this phone over this app.

Fun graphics. Wish there were more animated graphics. I’m a little loss as to what I’m doing and why. Trying to figure it out but, I’m pretty new! I wish it didn’t cost so much to get the tools we need. There should be more tools given during the quest. I’m not sure that I will play this long because of the costs to move ahead.

Big FUN. I've had lots of fun playing this game. As of now it hasn't gotten to the too hard stage where you just spend all ur "energy" and never win. I don't mind it getting harder or more quest to complete mission but some G5 game get too hard too fast. Hoping this one doesn't follow suit.

Creative and fun!. The story line is amazing, and there’s so much for you to do in this game. If you’re looking a good game to help pass the time, this is a great place to start! I love the dialogue between the characters, and the mechanics are super easy to pick up

Not enough energy to keep playing. Game is great but it is hard to play more than 20-30 minutes at a time. Too much energy to get in rooms and takes a long time to level up. It would be so much better to be able to play longer like other G5 games. Makes one lose interest.

I really want to like it, but.... It’s so hard to see. It’s too dark. It’s hard to navigate, it pulls you over when you do find an item. You waste time getting back to where you were. It gets stuck when you try to zoom back in. It’s near impossible to see on the dark mode. There’s not enough time due to the above issues. I love these kind of games, but this one is just not enjoyable. There’s no way I could play it on my phone.

Paranormal Society. Fun game!!! Don't care so much for the fact that if you tap too many places to search, you may lose time on the counter. Wish you could purchase energy, hints, etc. with your coins or trade items. Overall, a fun game! Got stuck on a high level had to completely start over ☹️

Fun but frustrating. Early on in this games...so far only a couple complaints. First, there are times when an object doesn't respond when it's found. I've had to use tools to locate an object that I'd already clicked on. Also, the cost to search is too high. I can only do 4 searches before i have to wait for recharge.

Paranormal society. Make sure your game doesn’t break because the idiots at g5 can’t even fix it for you!! They told me to play on a PC well, I don’t have a PC but it’ll still be the same account wouldn’t it??? This is so aggravating but it taught me a valuable lesson, not to ever buy anything intangible w/real money!!!! I’d lose all the rubies I have and all my achievements and I’m pretty up there on level 116! And I’m just supposed to throw all that hard work away?? I can’t believe they can’t fix my game!!??

Nice scenes. But extremely frustrating if you cannot buy tools. Too many things are needed- like 3 sets of Tongs in one location. When you win tongs, sometimes you win 1, other times 2 or 3. The whole time you're trying to win the tongs, you're taking hit points and if you fail- you lose. Some days I'm lucky if I can play for 15 mins without running out of energy.

Glitch @ The Sheep Tavern-FIX PLS!. I like a lot of G5 games, this game is good but The Sheep Tavern has a bug/ glitch that needs to be fixed! In the pair mode when you have to find/match 2 of the same thing there are certain items that do not exist twice like scoop, billiard ball and sometimes bagpipes. And the only way to pass the stage is use the dispel/orange lifesaver looking cheat on the bottom right corner. The magnifying glass one doesn’t work because 2 of that item doesn’t exist and you’ll be wasting your hint/cheat item. PLEASE FIX !!!

Like it. I like it, interesting, and different. I do agree with some of the other reviews is that the scenes are too dark making it difficult to see anything let alone what you're looking for and the time seems real short in order to find all objects. I'm intrigued though so will continue playing for now.

Great game the graphics is beautiful the colors are so real it’s like you’re back in that Error in the colors like I said I’m gorgeous you don’t have to have a lot of money I enjoy playing the game and it’s fun to play and it keeps your mind working I love hunting for things good game

Richly Detailed. The searchable scenes in the game are all so lusciously and richly detailed, it’s an incredible feast for the eyes. The whole Victorian England aesthetic combined with the paranormal and steampunk is very well executed in my opinion. I’ve played this game before and I have to say that the way they redesigned the map makes it feel that much more immersive.

When is new update coming?. I love this game and have captured all the ghosts! Now it is just repetitive because there are no new challenges. When will we see new content? It’s been 2 years since the latest update.

Fun way to spend some time. The only thing I dislike about this game and others like it is the time limit. Why even have a time limit? Or at least give the option to shut it off. That's the one thing that will eventually cause me to delete the game. I play these games to relax, not to create more stress.

Game play. The concept and plot of the game is ok. I have played Secret Society for years. The goals in this game are challenging, which I like. Unfortunately the locations require in app purchases to continue game play. The locations do not give tools to help with difficult levels. I have reached level 18. I’m not sure I will continue to play. Something needs to change in the game. I enjoy a challenge but I also like to complete challenges.

Too slow in moving forward. I’ve played this game for a very long time. I enjoy playing but it is not a challenge. The game is not moving forward with interesting twists and turns. It seems as if the originators have given up and moved on. This could be an interesting game with more openings and more intrigue with new ghosts and challenges.

Fun concept but frustrating Event challenge. I like the steampunk nature of this game and the normal quests work fine. However, with this winter witch event challenge, I got the first item for the bird collection the first time I explored the Whitewalls scene but haven’t been able to find anything else since. I’m now at level 4 in that scene but still stuck on the second item of the first collection required for the corpus cameo and it’s incredibly frustrating.

Overall Delightful, Some Drawbacks. The storyline is really interesting and the artwork and music are beautiful. There isn't quite enough time to find all of the items and it takes a lot of in-game currency, which is difficult to collect in a short amount of time. Some of the objects are difficult to identify.

paranerd. Presently the app is not staying open, and I cannot get into it. It will delete all my data if I remove it from my iPad, and I haven’t come this far for nothing. Hopefully this will be fixed and soon. All my other apps are opening without any problem.

Please fix this update!. After this latest update today, it already crashed three times in one day, each time in the middle of game, lost energy and tools. Come on, don't you test it before you roll it out?

Interested!. The game is typical quest with seek and find. New concept but find some of the pictures dark. Maybe I haven’t found a switch to turn up pics a little but all in all the game is what you would expect. Some of the names would be difficult for younger kids to know but perfect chance to add to their vocabulary if age appropriate! Enjoy. Hoping it’s not a easy win.

Really Like It. I really like this game; gorgeous graphics! I haven’t encountered a single puzzle except for the hidden object find, though. I was looking forward to some of those. It also seems to be impossible to finish a seasonal/timed quest because it takes a very high number of visits to find the clue you’re searching for. Otherwise, I enjoy it and play most every day, several times per day.

Entertaining. It is well put together and thus far I’ve only played twice- but both times have been fun, and progress is possibly. I think I am enjoying it more each time as I learn a little more. I’ve always enjoyed paranormal topics and information... I haven’t been abducted by aliens yet, but I think that is due to there sense of self preservation 😎👍🏼✌🏻👌😃

Paranormal Society. I really love this game and I have barely begun it! The only thing I would change is if the locations of the items not found were shown when the timer runs out. Some of the items I am not quite sure what they are since you can sometimes only see a small portion of them.

It's ok.... It makes me bounce back and forth too much... I'd like to focus on one quest or even one location at a time. The story line really drags out and this requires far far more clicks than is truly necessary. At first playing, it's trying to force me to buy energy when I already have more than half. So far, I, not real thrilled. What I do like is that it gives you caches of items wishing a scene. I'd just like to play each scene the way I wish instead of moving all over. I love hidden objects but don't care for story lines.

Good but needs tweaking. Only issue I have is the touch responsiveness. For instance I tapped the roller pin and it wouldn’t except my tap and kept giving me a -10 on my remaining time?! After 6 taps it finally worked! Smh other than that it’s a fun game. Please fix that issue to make it more than just a fun game but a awesome game ☺️

Addicted to searching. This is a great game! You have to move around the map looking for what you need to advance. There’s many small goals to keep you hooked. I wish it wouldn’t cost so much energy to visit a location though. You can only visit 2-3 locations then have to quit to build back up your energy.

Awesome game!. I look forward to playing this game on a daily basis. I love the beautiful graphics, the challenges, and the rewards. Even the storyline keeps me interested! I would definitely recommend this game if you’re looking to have some serious fun!

G5 Games, Worst Games Ever. Do not play this game. G5 support will let you play and build up levels, then they just decide to erase everything and make you start over from the beginning. I was on level 34 and all I needed was the addition of an email address into my profile. Sure, their support added the email address, but in the process, they erased every bit of progress I made in the game. I am not starting over from scratch and G5 support refuses to restore my game. Warning, warning, warning.....

Interesting yet too challenging at times. The scenes are very well layed out but much to dark to actually spot some of the items you have to find. Some of the items are so concealed in the sparsely lit scenes that without having a hint or by sheer luck you have an almost impossible task in finding them. The musical accompaniment fits and the story-line is entertaining.

Paranormal society. Fun game, but you lose your diamonds quick but enjoyable. All G5 games are the same. They start out good then they have no ending. You pay all this money but the game ends and they have not fixed it so you can get to the main goal. This has been going on for years and they have no intention on fixing it don’t waste your money on this one or Mahjong, journey or any of them. Take care And shame on them!

Missing collection items. When I began playing this game, everything ran smoothly and whatever items I collected in terms of specters were retained. That changed with the second specter; I collected all the necessary items, and assembled all the collections in order to create the cameo to free a specter, and when I went to create the spirit wreath, it suddenly no longer had the required elements to assemble and charge the wreath. I am now stuck with little to move forward on. And the character conversations have stopped.

Perfect way to waste your time!!!. I really don’t like to leave reviews, because they are only personal opinions… however, I’m making an exception with this game because I enjoy playing it with its super nice graphics and its just interesting enough to keep me coming back for more…

Enjoying the game!. Enjoy playing this game. Agree with another review that compared it to steampunk with Victorian England! Good comparison! Having fun but it does get a bit boring and confusing going back and forth collecting the specter, the salt (twice!), etc. But I guess in an investigation to collect evidence it’s like that so pretty much true life as much as it can be! Good job, Game 5!

Interesting. Time consuming but interesting. At times it is difficult to figure what the hidden item is. And the time seems a little constraining but it is definitely a different type of game. Keeps your interest.

Change. While I like this erosion of the game I also liked the first version of the game where you found keys and such to unlock doors and drawers and this to find items. If there was a way to merge them where you find objects off a list or the finding keys version I would not complain

Just getting started. I’ve just started playing this game and I’ve already noticed that I have to tap on the items several times before they respond, which wastes time. Scenes are pretty dark also. I’m thinking these two issues will get worse as I progress through the game. I’ll continue to play unless it gets too tedious. I don’t plan on spending any money yet.

Things that go bump in the night. I am loving this game, the seek and find makes my heart race and the storyline keeps me intrigued. I also am amazed that there is a chat and that I can connect to Facebook and give gifts. Seriously becoming addicted to this game and it is only my first day, you have to try this game!

It’s an ok game. I have only got to 4th level and I already want to delete it! The problem: you are told over and over again that you don’t have enough of an item to make a search of the area. So you have to go to another area make a search, then go back to the area you want to search. This starts happening every time you want to make a search-gets tiresome fast because you are having to do it every...single...time!!! 🙁
