Keyplan 3D Lite - Home design App Reviews

Love the app. Great for playing around to see what you like. I got this up thinking that it was going to be another one of those scam apps but when I downloaded it and actually realized that this app was a keeper. After about 2 or 3 min days that I started using it I upgraded and purchased a couple of the packs. I don’t regret that. I love everything put in it and it makes it super easy to see what you are building and what you may want to build. the only downfall yet is I have not figured out how to do a two-story house. I don’t know if that’s just me or if it’s the app but we’ll see.

Purchased full version for six dollars. Just bought it and it’s simple to use. You get what you pay for. It’s very basic. That’s OK though. It allows you to do plans and change plans quickly, at least quicker than doing it on paper. I use this to come up with ideas and concepts and then take it to a builder to price out, do planning, and then if needed take to an architect to get actual drawings. I hope more options open up for example bifold doors, half windows like you see in the shower areas, king size beds...things like that that I think are fairly common and should be in this. I gave it one star because I think it really should be about a three dollar app. You guys are off to a good start but more basic options are needed. Overall, I’m happy to use it. Please continue to add and improve it. You are the best basic architecture app that I have used.

It’s very functional. I got this app because I am getting a new bedroom and I wanted to be able to plan it out. This app is a little bit tricky at first but it’s a lot more precise than most. You can enter the exact dimensions, and unlike other apps you can save your plan. I have the lite version because I don’t wanna pay for anything, but I believe it is a very good app. Some areas it could improve on is having actual real life products you can buy that u can place in your rooms. It would also be nice to be able to maybe take a picture of your items in your room you already have and they can make a 3D version of it as the same style of the app. Other than that it’s a very good app and I recommend getting it .

Mediocrity at it’s Best. It’s the best that’s out there, but being the winner out of a bunch of losers isn’t that good. The app seems more like an interior design tool than an architectural tool. I’m a licensed engineer & an unlicensed architect (I do both but only went to school for one). I’ve paid for the full version, and would pay a lot more for an even better version. This is a great tool for initial design of side projects, stuff you design when not at your computer or drafting board. Pros - Flyaround navigation for interior design & painting tool is very quick and efficient. Preloaded furniture & sizing tool makes laying out interior items easy. Cons - The scale of the drawing grid is not shown, and can’t be changed. Drawing walls is very clunky. Inserting pre-drawn rooms is not possible, and moving rooms is too. There is no save button, and it is very easy to lose a lot of work. There are very few exterior finish options (clapboard, shingles, siding all missing). Library is 10% of what it should be, very small. No multiple floors. No roofing. No porch, railing, deck, patio options.

Good for my purpose. I used the free version. I wanted a program that would let me lay out and see in 2D and 3D some rough ideas for remodeling a 2 car garage to home gym/office and this app worked. I had to make some substitutions, like hobby horse for exercise bike, but I just needed to see objects of a certain size. Dims are entered and shown in ft/inches, but it internally converts to metric when editing them, so if you enter 40 for an object width, next time you edit the width, it will show 1.016 (clearly meters, but it doesn’t show the units). The grid isn’t labeled with scale and items snap to it not always super precisely. Still, it served my purpose, which was to visually test out a few layouts.

So. I bought this, and I loved it. Once I found out you needed to buy the full thing I was down. This looked great for being on a phone and people need money so why not. I bought it in app, paid for everything, went through all the dumb stuff, and it didn’t work. Every time i tried to buy it again, it would tell me I already bought and began downloading, and then the game froze. So I thought to search online. I saw the app of the full game, bought that, and it worked perfectly. In conclusion, if you want the full version do not buy the in app purchase; go to the Apple store and buy it from there. I also emailed for a refund and haven’t heard a response so...if you see this I guess?

The full version is not a “Full” version so beware before purchasing.. The app is okay, not as great as I hoped. Unlike some other design apps you can only build at one level only. It would be nice if we could just change the level (altitude?) of the landscape (I have a one story house, but you go up steps because it’s slightly raised). The 3-d portion doesn’t really work as well as some other similar apps. I bought the “Full” version hoping to recreate my house and look at different ways to update it before redecorating, but they don’t actually say the “full” version doesn’t include everything. Not sure why they even call it full when there are more dlc packs. 🙄. Annoying because it says it has ‘everything ‘. I would have paid more for an actual “full” version with EVERYTHING included. There’s even packs that are locked unless you rate them (as I am now), or ‘sell’ your friends emails to them. Yeah, no. Very disappointed. I suggest that the “full” version be renamed to something less specific like ‘basic’ or ‘lite’ or whatever. As well as adding a better description of what it includes.

Faster Than Drawing!. Have you ever had a fantastic design idea in the middle of the night? What did you do? You probably didn’t get out of bed, turn on the light and search for paper and pencil; did you? You probably went back to sleep, thinking you would remember it in the morning. Sadly, that didn’t happen. With Keyplan 3D you simply pick up your phone (from beside the bed) and in just a few strokes of the finger, voila! That award winning idea is there in less time than it would have taken with a pencil. No more paper and pencil for me. I love drawing but it seems I erase more than I draw, the paper looks a mess and nothing is to scale or proportioned correctly. I’m really the only one who can see my genius in all the scratching. In almost no time at all with Keyplan 3D, not only is my design idea documented but it’s in full color, in 3D with directional light source and ready to tour! WOW, HOW PROFESSIONAL LOOKING! All the doors, windows, cabinets, appliances and furnishings simply drop into place. I love how easy it is to resize ALL COMPONENTS and “paint” them to suite my existing furniture. THIS IS WAY FASTER (and better) THAN PAPER AND PENCIL EVER THOUGHT OF BEING!!!

Pretty great for an inexpensive app. I wanted something to help plan how to rearrange furniture in my friend’s apartment and this works like a charm. Pros: Very simple and intuitive to select and alter your furniture, walls, etc. I like that I could take a chair, resize and color it to be a loveseat that looked almost exactly like hers or make her unusual windows and save them. It’s easy to resize walls—almost too easy! I accidentally added 3’ to the size of her bedroom without realizing it and was surprised everything fit so easily. Cons: It would be nice if you could temporarily lock the walls when you have the size you want. See remarks above. I also had a really hard time manipulating small items like screens and curtains in both plan and 3D. My pencil kept grabbing rugs, the room, walls, everything BUT the Shoji Screen. Overall, I think if I were designing professionally I would buy one of the more expensive apps but for a hobbyist/friend helper like myself, this is a lot of fun for $5.99.

Please respond to this 💕. I love this app so much, it's so easy to use, it's just perfect! There's really only three things I would like you to do and I'm just gonna split them up into groups so it's easier to read 1. PLEASE ADD AN UPSTAIRS!!! This is the one thing that a really need! With other apps I've played like this they all have some sort a laying system kind of like a drawing app would, besides it would probably be beneficial for you guys. You could add it to your five dollar pack if you wanted to (by the way to the people who already paid for it including me please don't make us pay again) 2. Please make it easier to edit shapes. I would really like a wall going up along my stairs but to do so the shape would have to be a half triangle and you don't have that in the game. Once again it would be beneficial because you could add stuff like curved walls 3. Please just add more stuff in general, I love you selection but it could be better! Anyways have a nice day and please take what I put down in mind, except for the upstairs please just do that one!!!

Suggestions for the developers. Easy to use and great for home planning, I’ve tried it for two days and will buy the full version. Just two suggestions for the developers: 1)The startup screen is crammed with all the features you don’t get in the free version, and invitations to buy these extras. Let customers see what they can do with the free version first, and then give them the extra options later. 2) Most people start out with room measurements. Give an option to type the wall measurements with the keyboard instead of trying to recreate them with your fingertip.

So Far Only Ok. The app is fine for basic room planning. It did take me most of a day to lay out my whole house. And that was after I paid for the full version. Once I paid the measuring became a bit harder. There is no way to make it exact, you can’t type in the measurement. Also the snapping guides are not friendly. It does give me a basic idea of what I was looking for. Spatial placement, what I actually have room for. However, I am disappointed. I paid for the “full” version. Which only gave me the ability to look at the samples in 3D. There are these packages that cost extra. That would not make the “full” version very full. I can’t even change the color of the walls or put flooring down. Furniture is extremely limited. I highly suggest the developers of this app change the marketing. 2D Version, 3D version with multiple expansion packs for additional fees. There currently is no full version. An actual full version would be nice. Pay one fee get it all. BUT - the samples should be fully viewable in 3D so you can what you are paying for. Just be transparent please. Thank you

Decent app but needs work. Aside from the in app purchases, this is the best, cheap floor plan app that I’ve found, so there’s that. It also has some pretty cool features for the price and is easy to use. The not-so-good? The additional packs can add up, and you miss out on some great design options if you don’t buy them. I also received an error with one of the pack purchases, and have yet to get it resolved. As mentioned in another review, I haven’t received a response to my email. Poor customer service just adds to the frustration. There are also some annoying features of the app, mainly when trying to move objects around. And I’d love to see the ability to add a roof and other exterior home features. If you want a cheap, easy app, this is perfect for that, but just don’t expect too much.

Just OK.... It works fine for conceptual layout, BUT it needs some simple improvements. For example, there's NO option for a sliding door? That's a very common design element! In addition, there is not an obvious way to design a deck in the outdoor elements. I had to build a “room” with invisible walls and add flooring, despite purchasing the outdoor add-on. Last, it was unclear that buying the "full" version only allowed me to save more than one design; it made it look like there was way more included for the fee. I was disappointed find that it was more and more purchases to get a remotely functional design suite. This could be made way better with minor improvements and some clarification.

Good app, but some issues.... Hello! I’d like to start by saying that this is a good app for people who are trying to figure out how you want a room to look or something, but for someone like me, who is practicing interior designing/ architecture, etc. there’s some things I would like to change. First off, you have to pay 5.99 to get the “full version” which allows you to make more than one room. It annoys me that you can’t make more than one room without paying. Also, if you purchase the “full version” you still have to pay for all of the other packs of furniture, etc. In my opinion, this isn’t necessary. I’ve been trying to find an app like this, and, don’t get me wrong, it DOES work, and it’s a good app, it just doesn’t work in the way I’d like to use it. Furthermore, maybe a future update would be making more decorations and little things to add to the room that’ll make it look more realistic and home-y (if that makes sense). Other than those small details, this is a very good app!

The full version of $5.99 is worth. I downloaded the free one and was disappointed you could only make one room. The full version is really good. There are just a few things I’d like to improve. First, I think the ability to group things and duplicate them would be huge. Second, it would be really cool if we could create multiple floor plans for multiple floors and then stack them together to see what the building would look like from the outside. Also building multiple floors makes the aesthetic of stairs more realistic. Lastly, it would look nice if the wall and floor patterns didn’t stretch out with the object. Thanks for such a great app!

Great for Simple Ideas. I’ve used this app anytime I want to rearrange a room to visualize layout options—it’s great for that. The extra packs available for purchase have a lot of objects to choose from to furnish the rooms with. There’s a color/texture changing tool that works for the building itself and any objects added in, but it could use some work—maybe more settings to adjust it. There’s two things I’d love to see in this app: The first, MULTIPLE FLOORS! I’ve seen this requested a lot in other comments as well. And second, lighting adjustment. It would be great to be able to change the position of the light, or have an option to add indoor lighting that works.

I do not like this game. Needs improvements to the game.. First of all you can only do one room. So when i saw how much money it was I was surprised with the ratings 4.5. Although it is a pretty fun game to play and I’m not saying this in a mad voice I thought this game was going to be just like the game property brothers that candy crush saga kind of game. This game is a great game just need to get rid of the payment. The choices of furnisher was almost infinite. I like how you get paint the walls and the armchairs. So I have this one star because you can’t really do anything because you could only do one section and can’t even erase the section you have. I hate this game.

So incredibly happy!!. I tried 6 other apps before I found this one, I was ripping my hair out with the other ones! This is PERFECT!! What I love is everything is customizable size, other apps let you choose from their presets but no modifications are available! I bought this app for $5.99 after an incredibly brief free demo (which some don’t even have) for the purpose of designing a “tiny house” on wheels and with tiny houses there is a bunch of “custom” things you need to put in. It was absolutely impossible with the other apps!! Only downside is could use tweaking with ability to change colors/textures of walls and furniture. But that’s being VERY picky. Save your hair and just buy this app!!

Technical difficulties..... Updating my review. Glitchiest app that I’ve ever had. I LOVED this program. Downloaded all the extra packs to have more options but after months of happy designing suddenly things started to not load. Different wallpapers or flooring options were only showing up as gray squares under the various menus. To try and fix this, I deleted the app and redownloaded. Now it crashes CONSTANTLY and they all show up twice. There are no longer accurate categories. I have wood floors, fabrics, and many other things in tiles. And I can no longer search by item so I spend so much time flipping through everything to find what I need. I don’t know what’s going on with the app all of a sudden, but it’s having some serious technical issues. It’s sad because I thought this was a very enjoyable program.

Hoping updates will come. This app is nearly perfect, the concept is the best I’ve found. The controls, moving around moving prices can be very glitchy and sensitive which gets really irritating at times. I really wish you could change indoor wall heights and I’d love to be able to add sidewalks, porches, change the landscape etc. and be able to add a roof, more construction and more architectural elements like being able to build a 2nd floor would be cool This is kind of my fault but I was a little irritated that when I paid the $6 for the full version it wasn’t super clear that you didn’t get any extra elements and have to pay more for each package you want. Overall pretty good, I have seen some reviews that sound like the developers disappeared for a while and I hope that doesn’t happen and they keep updates coming.

Easy!. About 15 minutes I got the hang of everything and this app allowed me to draw up the floorplans for my current home and plan a full remodel. I bought the full version, and I would like to have seen more things and that edition. I feel like some of the things I’ve seen in the individual plans or not and the full version plan. Example: cars, motorcycle, swimming pool, hot tub, etc. also, floating wall mounted shelves would be helpful too. However, because I am what is the simplest to use out of the three I tried before this one. 😃👍

Yayyy. For once an app with no glitches when I do stuff! Also there are no coins, like you have to pay $100 to get a Couch. Every ting is free! Even though you can only design one room in the lite version it is worth it. Just make a big room with different sections. I am very pleased. I got the game on a Wednesday and by Friday I completed my dream home.😍 truly I get why you have to make a lite version and I don’t blame the designers for making a one room restriction on the lite version. Does it bother me? Yes. Do I like it? No. But do I get why they have to make it so? Yes. People have to make money. You need to have money to live. I highly suggest this game and I thank the designers for making such a good game where you can design simply and quickly. I hope after reading this you will get this app. It is TOTALLY worth it!

Potential but no one at home?. This was exactly what I was looking for so tried the lite version and liked it very much. I tried to buy the full version through an in-app purchase and thought it had gone through but my icon and apple store still say I still have the lite version. So far, so good. Two days later the app now crashes every time I add a window or door to a wall. The program sends an email to the developers when it crashes BUT the address does not exist and so it is returned undelivered. Where did the developers go? There doesn’t appear to be any support for the app. I am left wondering whether I should buy it again and start over but fear I will just loose another $6 plus all the floor plans I already have created. Writing a review appears to be the only way to contact the developers. I hope they will fix this bug (it had worked fine until today) and will make certain I have the full version. I really like the app when it is working!

Not a monthly fee scam. Was trying to find a nice, simple tool for planning out our next house project, but every app we found would force a signup and try to rope you into monthly subscriptions before you could even touch the app. This app was clean, allows actual lite features without shoving purchase down your throat, and has more than enough features to plan out your next house. We have not bought the full version yet, but from what we can see it looks like an individual purchase. If we confirm that it is, this product will be an instant buy from us (simply because they didnt force us to jump through hoops to get started). Give it a try! It will be worth your time!

Good but Expensive. It’s great. I’m moving into a new apartment and this is giving me the opportunity to map it out, first. However, it’s expensive. Especially if you want all of the design options. I immediately purchased the Full Version for $5.99 thinking it would give me all the design packages, being it’s called the “Full Version “. This is not the case. To get everything -about 12 packages, at the time of this review- you have to purchase them, ranging from $1.99-$2.99. I could end up dropping $35 for a Sims build mode with a measuring tape. It’s worth the $6, sure, but $35? I’m not sure. Which is frustrating.

Super Easy!. Loving this easy to use app to design our new home and outbuilding. Nice balance of ease with good 3D rendering for the price of a cup of coffee. It’s not construction drawing level but sure helps visualize size and space. Much cheaper and handy to make revisions than sending to the architect over and over again. Limited to one level but able to handle an entire site plan. No roofs but enough objects to lay out an entire floor plan. Also able to add colors and textures to floors, walls, chairs, etc. - pretty cool! You will spend more time than you think doodling with it. Hoping they add more objects in the future like ATV’s, automobile types, etc. Very satisfied!

Love it but needs updates. This app is pretty great, especially the purchased version. It really helps you put your plans down and see them in view. The things I suggest, and hope for is; firstly, I wish you could make your plan have levels (upstairs/downstairs) not just having to layout floors side by side. Also, it tends to “glitch” by either having some white wall looking thing all of a sudden pop up and go across my whole plan(s), until I go back far enough to get rid of it but then it just pops up again. The other common glitch is not being able to drag appliances or items, not matter how many times I try to “grab it”. Lastly, I wish you guys would put in the ability to add a deck or porch! I do like this app a lot, but I would love it if these issues were addressed!

Nice but frustrating. I used this app last year to figure out how to arrange a room. I remember now that it was frustrating. At that time, I hadn’t paid, so the frustration was reasonable (imo). For free, I thought it was kind of cool even though the options were limited (in terms of furniture etc. options). Tonight, though, I paid for the full version. Then I went looking for instructions because I couldn’t do basic things - like change the floor from grass to wood. Or get the white to actually look like white. Or actually view the room from a non-aerial view while INSIDE the room. I could look INTO the room through the door, but I couldn’t “walk through the door” and look around from the ground. That stuff is annoying, especially now that I’ve paid. And if the other reviewers are correct about having to purchase each individual room “package” despite having purchased the “full package,” i will be even more annoyed. I’d like to be able to add my own furniture / accessories if there isn’t something similar. For instance, how about a sliding/“barn” door? and a dog bed? Different varieties of rugs (maybe something soft and fluffy)? The app has potential, but I see the developer doesn’t respond to the reviews, so it’s hard to know whether the feedback is even read. The lack of responsiveness just knocked my review from 3 stars to 2, actually.

Addictive Creativity. Using this app can be addictive in a good way. My only issue is the controls and responsiveness to screen taps. I am an Artist so once I have a grasp of how things works I want to flow. I hate the slow and sometimes impossible nature of grabbing objects to move them/resize them. It is also not always clear what can and cannot be done without a purchase. I paid the $5.99 and would have be elated IF got what I thought I was getting. I thought it was EVERYTHING. Nope, I still have to buy more packages to get the best looks for interior design. I also love tall ceilings but the walls seem to be locked at about 10 ft but the options of height and width are there when walls are selected. But the type in numbers option yields no numbers and no action. Help!??? Also i like that I can make Bay Windows huge and sky scraper tall but why not walls too!? But overall the graphics are excellent and I have been able to get something that looks like my dream mansion! So for that thx!

Easy to use, helpful. Needs house utilities.. Utilities, while unglamorous, are important to place correctly so that everything ELSE is placed correctly. Wish there were some piping and ductwork, electrical outlets, etc. I managed to add in piping by using the old cad trick of drawing a line (in this app, a thin wall) and another right angle wall as these have dimensions and then adding a thin column for the pipe. -I’d like to add ductwork and will figure out a work around. - Small items can be very difficult to move. I find that while I’m trying to move the small object, the whole view moves around. This can be quite frustrating.

We are living in the house I designed with this app!. Seriously, this app was key in designing the house we wanted. Our new home is 2,000 square feet and two stories. I tried other apps but they were too complicated. It’s not perfect of course, but every design detail was manageable with a little ingenuity. Once I had my design, we hired an architect to develop the prints, draw in the plumbing and wiring and get all the permissions from the city and county. The architect was very pleased with what I gave him and there were very few changes due to codes and such. It would have been nice to design a second floor on top of the first, but I made it work two plans (just duplicate the same footprint for both levels).

Disappointed. I have been using this app for months now and have loved it! I payed for the full version and even bought all the packs so I could plan things accurately. I do interior design and building plans and this helps to visualize everything easily. The only issues I had with it was some of the colors and textures were messed up with the newer packs. All the wood, fabric and wall paper textures from the newer packs had shown up in the tile section. It made it a pain to navigate through them but wasn’t a big deal. But recently I downloaded the app onto my phone so I could have easy access to it on the go (before it was only on my iPad at home) and all my plans showed up, but there were objects missing and it said I hadn’t bought the packs. So I just figured you must only have access to everything on one device. Which is annoying but whatever. But then I went to get on it on my iPad and it said the same thing! Now I don’t spend money on apps. Ever. So this is extremely frustrating to me and I really hope someone gets back with me to figure it out! I’ve emailed with no reply. I wish it had the option for an upstairs and roof and more plants and landscaping options. An easier way to navigate through the furniture would be nice too. Category’s inside category’s. (in the living room category have a couch category and a light category, etc. ) the search option is nice but I think this would be good too. Also triangle walls for stairs. But these things I can work around.

Needs work. Immediately upon building the perimeter for the first floor there is not enough room visually. Yes you can drag wall to make longer but it doesn’t zoom out enough to get the overall picture(birds eye view). It needs zoom ability to full boundary view. Also when dragging walls to length, you cannot see the length you are achieving unless zoomed in. A bubble at the end of wall being moved showing length while being readable at any zoom would be a win. Also possibly make the wall lengthening split sides from middle to react where the finger is so that you can lengthen the lines without your finger being on the tip of the line every time(more options). As it also blocks the view if you want to match tip of wall being lengthened with a grid line and or the possible numbered length bubble. These issues immediately created a feeling of wasted time and frustration with use. So within the 2 minutes of trying it out, I will now delete it based on the crummy UX(😔). A good idea that just needs refinement.

Works great!. Do yourself a favor and just pay the $6 for the full version, because you will probably fall in love and want it ASAP! I’ve been using this for two years, just noodling around with possibilities for our house. We ruled out an attic conversion so I focused on our dream addition. That allowed us to have a good, visual idea of what we wanted when we hired a pro to do the design and plans. Since then, I’ve been able to upload the finished plans and traced over them. This has helped with talking a walk through the rooms and especially for furniture layout. Bonus: they respond quickly if you email for support. Don’t hesitate on this one!

Very helpful to visualize your dream home plan. I purchased this app (full version) hoping this would help me on house remodeling project. Binge watching Property Brothers gave me so many ideas... I needed something to visualize plans before talking to contractors. And yes, this app has been exactly what I wanted! I love that you can duplicate a plan and make different versions easily. It has limited number of furnitures and what I see is not always a good match, but ability to change “part” of object colors separately has been unexpectedly useful. (It’s not for very detailed modification, but you can change color of cabinet counter top, handles, and the rest to different colors, for example.) Plus, you can change size of furnitures freely. You can be creative and substitute by modifying existing items if they don’t have the exact item you need. (Ex. I’ve created a “deck” by making a coffee table very big, flat & short) One tip - if you are using an iPad like I am and frustrated that text color for notes your wrote is white font color on light gray background, change your iPad display setting from dark view to light view... I emailed customer service about it and they responded in couple days. (Thanks! :) One item on a wishlist - if we can “group” multiple objects together so that they can move around as one piece (such as table+chairs, object you created etc), that’d be awesome!

Love 💕 love this app!. Mostly fits my needs and very reasonably priced. Super easy to use, and the drawings impress people when shared, especially the 3D view. Folks are really impressed when hearing this was done on an iOS device! The biggest feature I could use that might not be a big programming lift is to be able to rename standard objects once they're placed. For example, the outdoor pack doesn't have all the kinds of trees I need on the diagram, so it looks like an apple orchard on the diagram. But in fact, there are several ornamental trees and such. I end up taking a screenshot and writing on there what each tree actually is. Which obviously needs to be redone every time changes are made. Similarly, when creating a custom object (saving an existing configuration after making changes), it'd be nice to rename it to differentiate it from the original. And the last relatively small-lift feature request is to put custom shapes in the correct category. For example, I made a tall yellow box to represent a specif floor lamp type. Whenever that lamp is placed in a new room, I have to remember that it's in the geometric shapes collection and not called a lamp.

Good but needs work. Pros: 2D and 3D View, customizable wall widths, variety of options for furniture and other home items, outdoor options, color options, can name each room and see area Cons: Would prefer to have basic furniture pieces like how their drawn in real professional floor plans when I use the 2D view. Need more practical furniture options like basic furniture people bye from ikea or target maybe even from Wayfair. The demo shows exterior ground work like pathways but how do you even add it yourself? Need the option to type in dimensions, it gets a bit annoying sliding it to try and get the dimensions right. My house has arched ceilings so it’d be great to have ceiling options. It’d also be great to have curtain options for windows and more window type options. Would also like to see garage doors.

Was good for awhile, then crashed. I wanted to get a better view of a new apartment and start planning out arrangement for furniture. I’m not any kind of designer or architect. It was annoying that the free version only allows one room but I made do by leaving openings where doors would be. It is clunky and can be frustrating if you’re trying to place a small item or make a wall a specific length. It was all going fine and I opened it this morning to get a picture to share with my mom, but something appears to have happened after I last had it open. If I try to open that design, the app crashes. The file has been totally corrupted and is unretrievable. I can’t delete, duplicate, or add a new layout without paying for the app. I spent most of my sick day yesterday (a good 6 hours) getting this to a point that my mom can use it for reference (it’s her new place, she hasn’t seen it in person) and now it’s gone. My only option is to delete the app, re-download it, and start over or find a new app and start over there.

Limited. I was messing around with the free app and thought it was pretty cool. I figured the limitations were because I hadn’t paid money. So I purchased the whole package, it opened up maybe a handful of options. I was a little disappointed because spending $6 I thought I was going to get a lot more than I did. So I thought maybe purchase a room package so I did….again it opened up a handful of options. I can’t build a second floor, you can barely do exterior designs, you can’t do porches and extensions or roofing…the limitations are ridiculous. Simple room design with simplistic furniture and material…sure…Don’t waste your money. Keep the free version if anything at all. Spending money on this app doesn’t get you anything. I requested a refund but it was denied. Hoping to save someone else the pain of spending money on this app.

So worth it!. I love this app and I use it a lot on my iPad. I only wish that there were a few features added like the little eye dropper looking tool you use in paint or photoshop where you can replicate a color or one you’ve used previously. This would make it easier because there are many colors and patterns that are similar so it takes a minute to find the right one you used before. Another thing I wish it had is actually being able to create a second story, but on top of the first. It allows for a better visual for support and such for the upper stories. I remember in the original Sims PC games it allowed you to create multiple stories but it had algorithms in place that were somewhat following real life building codes to make sure it’s safe. You can also see where and how stairs will actually look in relation to the next floor. I know the current layout is optimal for builders but I am not one so it’s hard for me to conceptualize it when the floors are side by side. There could also be an additional button that controls what floor you see/work on, like the design and build button function. You just use it to switch between the two.

Quick starting, great app. So, have used it for roughly an hour, very excited as it’s a very straightforward app. Draw your room, measurement is right there for you to get an accurate size, then click on the category of thing you wish to add, click, hold, and drag it to where you want. Tap it again to resize, rotate etc. extremely quick 3D representation too. What’s missing? Outside wooden or concrete decking. Don’t know if I can change the color of things yet, say a silver fridge vs white or a different type of wood, wall color etc. so far so good though. I paid for the pro version and added the outdoor pack.

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!. I’ll be honest, this WOULD’VE been the best Architecture game I’ve ever had, if only you weren’t. So. Limited. There is five projects that you start with, and you cant even USE four of them without having to buy things! And it’s not like you can create another world, because the four other worlds are hogging all of the space! So ya, you have ONE project to work with, and if it gets screwed up, you might as well delete the app right here. Then theres actually doing the project. The tools and things are really easy to use, and would’ve shut down all the hate from above, but easy tools are nothing compared to only making ONE room. Only. One. Room. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!! ONE ROOM?!?! I think that is INSANE and as soon as I realized this, I deleted this app. DO NOT GET THIS APP!

Works well. I got this app because I have always had an interest in architecture and interior design. I do enjoy this app (I got the full version, the lite was quite annoying), but it has a few areas that I would like to see improved. For one, I would like to have houses with multiple levels. Even if the floor are side by side, I would really like to have a “duplicate” feature so that I could copy the shape of the lower floor because it is quite difficult to recreate. I would also enjoy a feature that would allow me to add the wall dimensions manually rather than with the slider, because it takes a while to get the measurement I want. I do like the furniture, and the add-ons are lovely. Great choices for flooring and walls, and even the colors of the cabinets and window frames are customizable!! The lite version, however, was the world’s most irritating thing. You could only have one room, and there were many limitations. Had no problem upgrading and I’m glad I did.

Paid for full but can’t access it. Poor customer service.. Like a number of other reviewers, I paid for the full version years ago and no longer have access to those features. It appears they created two separate apps on the App Store (full and free). Those of us that paid previously were not given access to the new full version. When I try to download the features from within the free version, it just errors out. I contacted customer support multiple times. Bizarrely when they did respond they tried to pretend that they were forwarding a response they had already sent me…and acted as if it must have gone to my spam folder (even though this email came through no problem and there was nothing in my junk folder from them). In their response they suggested I contact Apple and tell them I bought the wrong app and to ask for a refund. Huh? Even if Apple would refund me for an app I bought six years ago, because I “bought the wrong one”, I don’t even have access to the full version to request a refund. It’s not a ton of money but it still stinks that I paid and can’t use those features. It could be a useful app.

A few technical issues and missing features. I really enjoy this app but there are some truly annoying things wrong with it. If these things were to be fixed, it’d be pretty much be perfect for my uses. First one being in the top down view, and in the 3d view, moving objects is like pixel hunting. It’s impossible to actually move items and often times you’ll accidentally move them up and down, or accidentally rotate it. Very annoying. Move the arrow for adjusting height a little higher or something. The “move” arrows for items is WAY too small. In 2D/top down view, I’ll just not even be able to move items and just keep accidentally moving the camera over and over. You can’t zoom in enough to avoid this. Another thing, some objects you can adjust the height like distance from the ground, but others you can’t? Like placing a plant on a counter. You can’t do that. Makes zero sense. And my BIGGEST issue is not being able to select multiple objects to move. I make custom items often with the blank objects and if I want to move that cluster of items, I have to move it one by one and knowing how garbage the moving icon is, I end up wanting to toss my phone in a river. Grouping items together to move would be amazing. I also think the search feature is way too specific. For example searching “box” doesn’t show me the item titled CUBE…. Have multiple keywords for items please. Also please add the ability to rotate the textures. Other then these things, I like everything else.

Surprised. I was designing a home that I was going to build me a couple years and I found this app so I decided I’d give it a shot. I was surprised with everything that was actually in the app you can put furniture and all that other stuff in to actually see how it’s being used in the space, but I was using it on an iPad and I don’t recommend that because it’s kind of difficult to navigate through the building as your building. I definitely recommend this app for anybody that kind of wants to just play with some ideas of floorplans or kind of see how things fit together in their physical form. I like the ability to go back-and-forth from the blueprint view to the 3-D view and really get an idea how the space is being used. I got the upgraded version because the light on I want to build so much and I’m definitely Pleased with the purchase.

Paid yet packages disappear. I really loved this app, it was easy to use so I paid for the full version. I then paid for added “packages” which were glitchy- it took a couple of days for them to be accessible, and some didn’t show previews. Worst thing is now they have “disappeared” as in, all the designs linked to any paid package that “crashes” are now GONE. It’s frustrating because we pay money for them. It crashes often and gives the option to email the developer which I have but nothing comes of it. Overall, I enjoyed using this app it was helpful and fun even! But not when the things you paid for just randomly disappear leaving your designs empty. And the “Restore Purchase” option is not working. At this point, I’d rather have my money back and remove the app but they aren’t responding. Such a shame considering how much potential this app has.

Update erased 2 years of 25+ floorplans. As a realtor and design professional, I’ve loved this app for creating quick floor plans and ideas for clients, as well as for my own space. I would gladly have paid a fee to purchase the use of the app with how much I’ve been able to use it until the update installed and all of my plans from the last two years disappeared. This was devastating, as I had measured out every room of my own property, and client properties, recording it all here. I would pay a fee to purchase this app, but after this experience, I don’t trust it to keep my plans safe. I created a new plan to test this and after closing the app, it also disappeared. When I attempted to ‘restore purchase’ and pay a fee, the App crashed. This app has run smoothly for two years and is super glitchy since the update. This is beyond frustrating. Please restore my previous work and fix the glitches in the new update. I’ll leave a higher rating once I’m able to get my work back and know that my files are secure in the app. Otherwise, I advise others to run the other way. There are several decent apps that serve the same purpose if this one can’t be fixed.

It’s ok. So this app is ok there is a few things that I would like fixed #1 we need to be able to put multiple rooms without paying like who would have only 1 room in there house and the whole house is the same color like who wants that!? #2 I would like it if you could have 4 arrows each going a different way so you could move better like other apps. #3 I would rate this 4 stars if you add more furniture and toys food and it would be cool if you could add people and customized there clothing and stuff and coffee machine is needed why is t there one! If all of these things are fixed I would give it 6/5 stares ok!!! So please fix theses things like ASAP!!

Keeps crashing. I did half the floor plan came back to it a few weeks later. Now I can’t add anything to it without it crash immediately. I have changed my Apple ID and password. Was good until they tried to charge me again for my purchase.. I purchased the full version of this app (the other app) for what was advertised as a once off fee of around $30 and which worked fine for two years and then inexplicably they logged me out and the restore purchase button won’t work. The only option is to pay again. It seems a lower rate so they’ve changed the app somehow but not honoured past full purchases if it. I’ve written to their website but have received no reply. I don’t recommend this app if this is how it runs after a while.

Useless!. I have to pay the full version so I can add more rooms to my box. This lame crappy app didn’t even have to pop every second each time I tried to make another box, it just kept telling me to upgrade. Well no thanks uninstall.

Literally the bestttt. I’ve used a lot of designing apps but this has to be the best.

Hidden Costs. I bought the full version of the app as I wanted to better visualise my house being built. You’d have thought buying the full version would get you access to simple things like sliding patio doors, but no, that is in one of the upgrades you then have to buy. So on top of the $9.99 you’re looking at $2.99 to $5.00 for the various add-ons each. It is also very fiddly. I put a wall down and when I try to put in an intersecting wall it changes the length and you can’t rectify that. What would be very useful would be a box where I can enter the length of the wall. If you want to do detailed plans, look elsewhere this is not the app for you. If you want to get an approximation of what your future house may look like it may work for you, but be prepared for a lot of frustration.

Slightly annoyed. I bought the full program & some of the little packs. Designed bottom half of my house, which was pretty easy. However, I got a new phone & transferred everything over. Lost my design, so I have to start again

The one. There's no shortage of home design apps: most of the ones I tried I deleted in seconds. This one doesn't require a signup and let me design a whole room without charging an exorbitant fee - good start there. Most importantly, though, it's a great tool. The interface is easy, moving and resizing walls, doors, objects is simple and all the numbers add up smartly (seriously, some other apps will demand you calculate your own wall sections just to keep the corners square). Plan view is clear, 3D is crisp and neat, and moving and editing between the views is simple and consistent. There's a great range of premade objects and textures, all easy to find and apply. I can suggest improvements. I'd enjoy reaching a much higher level of zoom in plan view. Relatedly, editing and placing small objects can be difficult - even grabbing a narrow object like a curtain sometimes descends into frustrated stabbing at the screen, because the anchor gets lost. In 3D, it can be difficult handling objects near the floor as they tend to hide behind UI elements. The ability to clone objects would be very handy, as would the ability to lock objects in place. There are some fairly simple classes of premades I'd like to see as standard: sliding doors, for example. And one day, a special tool for wall sockets! - such an important part of real-life design that always gets overlooked. These are reasons why I'm rating four stars instead of five, but they haven't stopped me paying (a very reasonable amount!) for the full version. This is THE best home design tool I've come across and I recommend it highly.

Great qp. Really great ap for visualisation and drafting. It would be improved if it could allow measurements on the outside of the drawing to be used as a house draft.

Multi Story. Great app for designing simple house plans. If you like playing the Sims then this is pretty close to the building side of it. Easy to use and and you can design a whole house in the lite version. Only down fall is you can’t do anything more then 1 story houses.

Could you update your outdoors package to include a grass filter, fire pit, the stones (which you include on your advertising picture?) , cars/ bikes & people? It’s the final touches on a piece that really make it work. Other than that, I LOVE IT!

Keeps crashing. Easy to use but has bugs that need addressing. Kept crashing when I did something it did not like. After spending 2 hours measuring and adjusting walls, I did something that caused the app to crash and would not let me reload the saved work.

Amazing app but I do see places for future improvement. It’s a totally cool app for designing homes and outdoor especially, I would like to give 5 stars but I do see some areas for improvements. One thing I don’t like from the outdoor package is the swimming pools!! They blur as you change the size giving these awful looks, also do notice when you change size the border also become dramatically thicker ><.

Love, BUT….. I absolutely love this app so much more than the old one I was using for years. The problem is this one constantly removes my packs - I’ve purchased the full version plus almost ALL packs, but it still keeps making me restore purchases every time I try to select items or open a plan. It even deleted all my items from purchased packs, from one of my plans. This is a big problem. If this were to be fixed, then the only thing I might wish for is to have resized items “remembered” at the selected size if you select them again for the same plan before closing.

Might be limited but good. I used this floor planner a few years ago and I didn't argue or complain. It’s fun and you could simply do one room and probably screen shot and connect your rooms if you could do that. But it’s what I’ve done already and it’s my opinion of what I could do in my solutions. Overall, it’s good.

Many shortcomings. 1. There is little to no instructions. 2. Window selection is lacking 3. No electrical outlets, switches, floor and wall vents. These are an absolute necessity. 4. No ability to draw freehand lines or objects. 5. No bifold doors for closets. 6. I would like to see better drawing capabilities. Incomplete. I am trying to scale furniture for my bedroom. I bought the full app and then discovered I needed to by the bedroom add on. Turns out neither of these purchases gave me access to a king sized bed. The largest bed is a double. Waste of 10 bucks.

Not a fan. I used to use this app for renovation and flipping houses to see my thoughts and ideas come to life. Now that you have to pay for absolutely everything especially a second room is impossible to use. I get app creators gotta make money somehow but the fact that u cn only use one room and a small rang of furniture is disappointing

Easy to use. Very easy to use and all I needed. I haven’t figured out yet if it’s possible to have a different height for the walls yet. As I’m building a tiny office building with a sloping roof, this feature would be great to have. Anyhow, I love this app. Thank you

Just what I was looking for. Easy way to figure out room layouts without having to for example build a sketch up model. It’s limited and has tricky controls, but once you get the hang of it they become a lot easier to use.

FINALLY!. I’ve been looking for an app like this for a while. No fluff, easy to use. I’m not bothered that I can only make one room with the lite version since it’s all I needed it for at the present time. My only advice would be to have the dimensions always appearing right side up so I’m not having to read them upside down. Other than that I am very happy with this free app that doesn’t have ads plastered everywhere!

Amazing app! Worth the $8 + feature request. I started with this version and liked it so much I paid the $8 for premium. All the features make me happy, the only thing I wish we could do is duplicate rooms within a page. Like when you click on a room you can rename, move, and remove it, but I wish there was also a duplicate button. Instead I have to duplicate the whole floor plan and can’t see the rooms side by side if that makes sense.

Most terrible design app ever, must be erased!. I am a high school student who downloaded and used this application several times. The fatal disadvantage of this app is that if you experience it for free, you can only make one room with four walls, and beyond that, you have to buy the Lite version unconditionally to continue the design, so you feel betrayed after you notice that it was developed to steal money from users. Did you limit the number of walls to this extreme for the purpose of discriminating against lower grades? Please don't use users to make money.

Almost too simple. It’s a great too to visualize rooms, but it can’t use exact measurements for walls, just to the nearest inch.

Slow loading. This app is amazing but it takes an hour to load everything and I’m not even exaggerating the slightest it takes forever.

Let us make a room inside a room!!. Some sort of glitch caused my project to crash and not save because we cannot have rooms inside of rooms. Very annoying because now I have to go back to the site and retake all my measurements!!!

Fun but disappointed 😞. I LOVE 🥰😍💜 this game!! I love how tools are simple and not complicated, and I love how all the materials that you can use for the house don’t cost a certain amount of coins or you don’t have to be on a certain level. I love everything about it except for that it costs money 💰 💴💰 to create 1 room and an upstairs!!!! 🤯🤯😢 I loved this app In till I found out it cost money to have 1 ROOM🥺. That’s the only thing I don’t like about the app but other than that I LOVED the app! Good job 🥳🤩🤪😜😋😛😝😎🤣😂😀😃😄😁😆😃😁

It’s ok. So this app is ok there is a few things that I would like fixed #1 we need to be able to put multiple rooms without paying like who would have only 1 room in there house and the whole house is the same color like who wants that!? #2 I would like it if you could have 4 arrows each going a different way so you could move better like other apps. #3 I would rate this 4 stars if you add more furniture and toys food and it would be cool if you could add people and customized there clothing and stuff and coffee machine is needed why is t there one! If all of these things are fixed I would give it 6/5 stares ok!!! So please fix theses things like ASAP!!

Nice app to start.. This is a nice app to start your design. There is so much more that can be implemented and improved. Furniture and appliances need updated. Wall design is nice but wish I could change the height of each wall and add lofts or second floor. The only negative is the cost for in-app purchases. I bought the kitchen and bathroom and I don’t feel there was enough in inventory to choose from. Overall a very nice app to start with. Hope to see more cool features in the future.

Great app, but unstable. I loved using this app. I worked with it for a couple of days, redesigning 2 bathrooms. I was really happy with the result and had gotten the hang of the app and its functionality, but the next time that I opened it, the plan was no longer there. It keeps giving me an error saying “Missing data - the project is missing its data.” It was supposedly saving to the cloud, but I can’t access the plan, even after deleting and reinstalling the app. IEven the demo rooms (which I can’t access in the lite version anyway, but which were there to tempt you and had an image and some room size detail) are giving the same error. They now show a 0 sqm room size. If any developer is monitoring these comments, please let me know if there is a way to sort this it. For anyone considering using the app, take screenshots regularly if you are happy with what you’ve created.

Great app with fixes needed. This app works well for very BASIC design. As in, I can build the general footprint and add some basic fixtures and finishes. The choices for these items (furniture, cabinets, vanities, rugs, flooring, showers,paint. Etc) is abysmal. As an example, how hard would it be to add a gas grill? And why can’t we add patio space without building a room? And why can’t I add a nice color to my walls? What’s there is just gross. It’s a great app for general room sizes and layout. Just don’t expect to add details without getting frustrated.

Needs improvement. I do love the app and I spend a lot of time on it. I like that you can edit anything fairly easily and get some ideas laid out cleanly and saved. What I don’t like is all the time and effort I put into a project could be halfway erased when I open the app the next day. It’s extremely frustrating and not entirely reliable. It is rare but it does happen and it’s disappointing. I would like to be able to do multiple floors. It’s hard trying to map out one floor to the next. Being able to layer would be nice. I’d like to see roof plans on here with dormers or what have you. Could be a really cool app.

Fun but Frustrating. I purchased the full version and then continued to buy packs. I tried to buy the family pack and the relaxation pack, both say they were purchase and show the money coming out of my account, but it won’t let me install them, keeps popping up a message stating I didn’t buy this pack when I know for a fact and have proof that I did. I emailed support and have not heard a response and there is no extra help on their website. I already hate purchasing stuff for my phone, much less being ripped off with it.

Y do I have to pay to make a wall?. So I love building and designing homes! And this game is so fun but, they make u pay to make walls sometimes? I try to build a room and my screen says I need to buy this to do this. Tbh I would love this game if they didn’t make u pay for this. They also need to add more floors and wallpapers, I feel like there should be less u have to pay for. I love this game! But maybe add some changes w/ the paying to put walls in some places like when in try to make walls!

Very helpful. Just moved into a new home, with the help of this app I knew exactly where things were going to go before I moved in. I was also able to get rid of a few pieces that weren’t going to fit anywhere rather than moving them and having to get rid of them after. Right now I’m thinking of remodeling the kitchen and have used it for that. I love how you can pick an item and adjust the size, it makes planning so easy.

Misleading in-app purchases. Purchased the “full” version instead of the piecemeal content packs expecting that the “full” version would include all the content. Turns out they want another nearly $20 for all the content. That includes simple stuff like slightly larger beds, but also cabinets, larger furniture, even simple models of cars. For an app that also uses confusing unit conversion and makes you pay $6 just to add a second room, you’d think the included content would be a little more robust. Navigation and control is fine, but it’d be great if we could set dimensions by text on all objects more easily.

Game with a lot of potential...but hard to make that happen. I got this game a few days ago. It’s a nice simple way to design a little home for you or your family. But there is a little tweak I would like fixed. It’s really hard to navigate. In Minecraft, they have navigation arrows. I know that it is hard to put those arrows in to navigate yourself around, but if you could find a way to update that little error, that would be fantastic. And also how do I make a second story for my house. There is no point having staircase options if you can’t even get a second level, please make that an option. Then I will give this a 5 star review

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!. I’ll be honest, this WOULD’VE been the best Architecture game I’ve ever had, if only you weren’t. So. Limited. There is five projects that you start with, and you cant even USE four of them without having to buy things! And it’s not like you can create another world, because the four other worlds are hogging all of the space! So ya, you have ONE project to work with, and if it gets screwed up, you might as well delete the app right here. Then theres actually doing the project. The tools and things are really easy to use, and would’ve shut down all the hate from above, but easy tools are nothing compared to only making ONE room. Only. One. Room. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!! ONE ROOM?!?! I think that is INSANE and as soon as I realized this, I deleted this app. DO NOT GET THIS APP!

Works for me. I use this app to make a floor plan for my apartment before I move so I can decide where I want the furniture and don’t need to move it multiple times. I don’t use it often so I kind of have to relearn it each time, but it is not hard to use. I wish I could mark outlets and light switches and cable locations and could figure out how to make the doors open from the opposite side, but for my purposes it works well enough.

The full version of $5.99 is worth. I downloaded the free one and was disappointed you could only make one room. The full version is really good. There are just a few things I’d like to improve. First, I think the ability to group things and duplicate them would be huge. Second, it would be really cool if we could create multiple floor plans for multiple floors and then stack them together to see what the building would look like from the outside. Also building multiple floors makes the aesthetic of stairs more realistic. Lastly, it would look nice if the wall and floor patterns didn’t stretch out with the object. Thanks for such a great app!

this game is great but it just needs a few fixes. I was looking for a game where i can freely desing a home, and then i downloaded this game and it was perfect but theres 1 problem, its a bit hard to move so if you guys can fix that it would be great, but i also have one question that i need answered is the full version $5.99 per month or do we just need to pay once to get it?

Disappointing. I’ve been playing this for a while now and I was very happy with it…until I saw that I had to buy in-app purchases just to make more rooms. Like seriously? You could already been making money off of ads, and you resort to charging people for the basic need of building more rooms? Honestly this just feels like Home Design all over again. Disappointing to see most architect design apps that just mostly consist of in-app purchases just to milk off on people who just want to design stuff. I wouldn’t reccomend this to anyone who wants to design a house.

Crashes, doesn’t let me use packs. I have had this app for a while and haven’t had a problem with it until recently. Every time I go and use it the app crashes or the packs that I have paid for disappear even if it has a check mark on it, it still won’t let me use the packs. This has been happening for months. It used to work perfectly fine but now it doesn’t.

Please add floor levels to update!. As someone who consistently renovates homes and works in architecture and interior design, I love most of the features of this app. It isn’t always the most user friendly when moving objects but works well for the most part. My biggest request would be to work on integrating the ability to add floors. Multi-story homes are the most common type found in family oriented areas, and adding the ability to create multiple floors and visualize the floors together instead of only side by side would be a big plus for this app!

This app is incredible. I rarely leave app reviews but this app is amazing. I figured out my new kitchen within minutes of building my first layout which was so easy. I’d been working on how to remodel our kitchen and use the adjacent dining room with the plan for months but realized I just needed to play with it. This saved me so much money and time. My friends and family I sent the designs to we’re so impressed even though the app is so easy to use anyone can do it!

Useful free app, be aware of total cost of paid version. Very useful free app when I was considering a kitchen redesign. Some major limitations in the free vs. paid version (can’t set walls to exact length, can’t have more than one door, limited number of items and colors/textures available, can’t use shapes to stand in for items they don’t offer) but I mostly got around them. When I decided to upgrade to the paid version though, I realized it was a series of “micro transactions” for a bunch of different “packs”. IMO no pack was worth its cost, so not worth it to upgrade and spend a bunch on stuff I won’t use for one or two items per pack.

NOT ONLY FOR ACTUAL HOME DESIGNING. I am 11 years old and my sister is 8. We were just looking for a good home design game that would let us do whatever we wanted with the house without continually having to play hard match 3 games or earn coins. When we looked at it, it seemed like an app used for if you were renovating and wanted to see what this painting looked like here or how that color would blend with this couch. But it is not! It can be, but it is not just for that! It can also be used for a great pastime! Thank you!

Great app but has so much more potential!. This app is fantastic! The only downfall is that it could do so much more!! I know they’re slowly introducing new features but these should already be implemented in the current app. By now they should be able to add a second floor to the layout instead of a second floor plan that’s separate from your design. Also, need fence options using: mason block, brick, chain-link, metal...not just bamboo. I’m excited and hopeful they get this figured out soon!

I FREAKING LOVE THIS. This app is literally amazing!! I’ve had it for like 5 minutes and I love it. All I wanted to do was see what it was like to redecorate my room. The free version gives you 1 room so it’s perfect. The editor lets you change the color of whatever you want and you can make floors too. I 1000 percent recommend. 1 thing tho.. not big at all just a suggestion… it would be nice if you could add rugs

Removes license over and over. This app could be pretty cool. It really should have some additional features for a paid app. You can’t select and move multiple items at once. The copy and paste settings are very clunky. Even if you buy the “full” version, it then asks you to buy additional packs for any good items. Worst of all, however, is that it constantly removes my purchase. Any time I haven’t used the app for a while, I go back and it says I haven’t paid for the “full version” even though I have. Then randomly, after a few days, it will suddenly start working and have all my floor plans available. It could be great, but it is unreasonably buggy and they don’t honor your purchases.

Best app since sliced bread!. I was looking for an app that would allow me to create my dream home floorplan and this is by far the best one! You are able to manipulate the dimensions of everything and adjusting walls is very easy! When my husband asked me to change the layout of the bedroom, i was able to do it within minutes. Best part is, im doing it all on my cell phone! To allow others to see a giant 3D rendering, just mirror to your smart TV. I couldn't believe how easy it was to use! Love this app!

Very homeowner friendly!. Been using this app for a few years, really excellent program for homeowners to test various layouts before finalizing with the architect. This game is good 😗. The only thing I’m upset about is that to make more rooms you have to buy the bundle which I’m not really interested in doing. But even though I haven’t bought it I think this game is still really good. It still lets you make a room and use all the tools to plan out everything, i would recommend this game 100% the only reason I haven’t bought it is because I’m not sure how much times I would use this game. This app has the potential for so much more.. I decided to start building my dream house and this app is really good for it. I like how it is simple and easy to use for someone that has zero experience with building a house. This is a great app however it doesn’t have some things I want. There is no option for a second floor. I put in stairs that lead to nowhere. There is no roof design option. There is no option for installing utilities that could benefit home owners (solar). I would love it if they created expansion packs that included placing electrical outlets. I would definitely buy options for in-depth utilities planning, construction, and maybe landscaping.

Hate the new update!!!. This app is really awesome and I use it every day, but it’s kind of ridiculous that when you buy the full version, you don’t get all the packs. This is why it’s only four stars. I do have some suggestions to make it better though. First of all, I imported a plan to the app and was trying to complete it, but I can’t because it’s ‘forbidden’ to ‘make a room inside of a room’. This is absolutely ridiculous so please fix it ASAP! When you go inside your house, you look up and see the sky and you used to see the ceiling. I hate this soooo much i think I might delete the app, so please fix this!!!!!!! Technical difficulties..... Updating my review. Glitchiest app that I’ve ever had. I LOVED this program. Downloaded all the extra packs to have more options but after months of happy designing suddenly things started to not load. Different wallpapers or flooring options were only showing up as gray squares under the various menus. To try and fix this, I deleted the app and redownloaded. Now it crashes CONSTANTLY and they all show up twice. There are no longer accurate categories. I have wood floors, fabrics, and many other things in tiles. And I can no longer search by item so I spend so much time flipping through everything to find what I need. I don’t know what’s going on with the app all of a sudden, but it’s having some serious technical issues. It’s sad because I thought this was a very enjoyable program.

Quick starting, great app. So, have used it for roughly an hour, very excited as it’s a very straightforward app. Draw your room, measurement is right there for you to get an accurate size, then click on the category of thing you wish to add, click, hold, and drag it to where you want. Tap it again to resize, rotate etc. extremely quick 3D representation too. What’s missing? Outside wooden or concrete decking. Don’t know if I can change the color of things yet, say a silver fridge vs white or a different type of wood, wall color etc. so far so good though. I paid for the pro version and added the outdoor pack.

Wasted $6. I initially rated 5 stars because this is exactly the kind of app I was looking for to help rearrange a small room in my house. I scrolled through the room packs and saw a couple contained the exact items I needed. So I purchased the full pack for $5.99 thinking that would unlock every pack. WARNING: it doesn’t. It just unlocks the ability to create more layouts and share them. I’m using this app for one room, wasn’t planning on needing multiple layouts. Now I’m out the six dollars and I still don’t have the exact furniture I was looking for. Disappointed in the lack of clarity. Plenty of others have complained about the same thing so it’s not like I was being negligent. Ugh, whatever.

Good but limited objects. Keyplan 3D is good but has limited objects. After using it for the basic layout, I purchased it hoping to find more objects, wrong. Other than having access to the basic shape objects (sphere, cone etc.) there is not much additional benefit. I would like to see more objects for home theater (wall speakers, amplifiers and cable routing). I am also planning for a backyard pergola. I don’t see any objects for this. Lastly, I don’t see any recent updates. So what will this purchase provided in the future? Looks like developers are no longer supporting this app.

Best game ever!. I saw this game on the app store and was so happy so i downloaded it and unlike any other game it lets you get the items for free😱I was amazed by the realistic items and even the new update that allows you to build a family as well! the only complaint that i have is why can’t you build a room you have to get the pack that cost money? i mean just to build a room?

Awesome! A few things missing.. This is an outstanding app! I use it all the time for event layouts. For me, the main things missing are the ability to copy and paste as well as group. Imagine creating a table and chairs. You can’t move these as a group and have to move each element individually. A group feature would solve this easily. Now imagine you are designing seating for 250 in an event space. You can’t create a row then group and copy. You must place every one of the 250 chairs individually. Grouping, along with copy and paste, would make this app a game changer - not only for interior designers but also for wedding planners, event planners and theater designers. I still give it 5 stars because of its usefulness. Keep up the great work on this app!

Needs simpler way to create rooms. Impossible to make a room with 90 degree angles and symmetrical walls. When I edit one wall length it changes the other wall lengths. Why can't I just input the dimensions and get a representation of that? Also, it is difficult to highlight the item you want to edit without accidentally selecting other objects or the room itself. Very frustrating. There are no recliners. Manipulating the view isn't very intuitive. But the fact that I found it very difficult to create a room of the exact dimensions that exist in reality is what made me frustrated to they point that I may just give up on all floor planner apps. All of the ones I have tried are extremely tedious. Easier just to use graph paper which you can download and print as needed.

App constantly crashes. Had been using the basic version for a few days. Enjoyed the app. Decided to purchase the extra packs, app was working fine. I started noticing some glitches. I made sure iOS was up to date and App was up to date. I then deleted the app and downloaded again. Glitch seemed to work it self out. Now when I try to remove specific walls, the app crashes immediately. Send crash report and try again. Same issue. Force quit all apps, force restarted device. Opened app, same issues. Removing specific walls are making the app crash for no reason. Enjoyed the app until it started crashing constantly.

Awesome, but not. I first went to go get another app, but it was sooo bad. I then found this app and downloaded it. I immediately fell in love, it was so easy to use. There was one problem though… if you didn’t buy the lite version you had to limit the number of rooms you made 😔. As a teen, I have to ask my parents if I can buy things and they said no, so if you are not able to buy things I don’t recommend this app, but I do. 😋😄😁😆

Great app, great support. Very reasonably priced even with in app purchases and full of all the features I needed. The pricing model is great for a casual user that’s just looking to plan a project or two every once and a while. I reached out to their support to inquire about one additional feature (custom colors) that I would really like to see and the developer was kind enough to respond and say it’s coming in a future update. Great app overall and was really helpful in easily visualizing my basement renovation.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS APP, BUT……. You can’t attach pieces together permanently and you can’t copy and paste anything. What you have to do, for example: If you want to move a piece of furniture that you invent, you have to move every single piece and reconstruct the piece of furniture in the area that you want to place it in. Since you can’t copy/paste, you have to go back on the list of objects and bring it out on the land and then redo the same measurements. So, I would like to be able to attach pieces together permanently (and you can always decide to unattach them of course). And I would like to be able to copy and paste an object so you don’t have to go back on the list of objects and redo another of the same thing again. Great little app..but limited. This is great for single story floor plan design, with lots of options and flexibility for design. However....there is no roof or multi-story functions (yet?) and that limits the experience. We use this to design our remodel plan and shared the designs with our builder for easy communication. We measured actual furniture in our house (beds, dressers tables, couches and chairs, cars, appliances, cabinets and counters etc...) to see what would fit where. We could then export floor plans and 3D images to share with each other and the builders. For this application this app is excellent. If you want/need multi story or roof functions, look elsewhere.

Easy to use, helpful. Needs house utilities.. Utilities, while unglamorous, are important to place correctly so that everything ELSE is placed correctly. Wish there were some piping and ductwork, electrical outlets, etc. I managed to add in piping by using the old cad trick of drawing a line (in this app, a thin wall) and another right angle wall as these have dimensions and then adding a thin column for the pipe. -I’d like to add ductwork and will figure out a work around. - Small items can be very difficult to move. I find that while I’m trying to move the small object, the whole view moves around. This can be quite frustrating.

Love the app. Great for playing around to see what you like. I got this up thinking that it was going to be another one of those scam apps but when I downloaded it and actually realized that this app was a keeper. After about 2 or 3 min days that I started using it I upgraded and purchased a couple of the packs. I don’t regret that. I love everything put in it and it makes it super easy to see what you are building and what you may want to build. the only downfall yet is I have not figured out how to do a two-story house. I don’t know if that’s just me or if it’s the app but we’ll see.

You have to pay to build. I downloaded this app after going through so many other 2D-3D design apps. It was perfect, I am more comfortable using my bare hands to design more than a mouse and keyboard. The format was great, it allowed me to make rooms symmetrical with ease. However, when I went to build my second room, I wasn’t allowed to simply because it requested me to upgrade. I needed this app to build a model house for school. I was incredibly disappointed when I saw that everything was blocked behind a paywall. Overall, the app is good, but I am dissatisfied with the fact that you essentially need to pay for everything. I will now be searching for another app to finish my project.

I like it so far, but….. This is my 3rd design app I’ve used. I think I’m going to like it a lot. So far, I’m trying to recreate me Condo for a Reno I’m going to do this summer. What I won’t be able to do, is put in my sliding glass door, cause there isn’t one in the door section. If that could be added, it would make this a 4 or dare I say 5 star app. I’ll have to continue working with the app to see if there are any other basic examples missing. I’ll let you know. I also, checked all of the add-on packages and didn’t see a patio door in those either. So I guess, I’ll have to do with a double door in the mean time. Keep up the good work.

For the lite version it does its job. I’ve use this application in several different situations in which I have needed an idea of what a room can look like and placement of key objects. Although it does not have all the objects that I desire, and certain things that are issues like using touchscreen on a small cell phone make it very difficult to give the correct measurements of the walls because it’s very touchy. I still recommend use this app to do the basics of what’s needed.

Pls read before downloading. I really liked it at first but after I created my first room and decorated it I wanted to make a new one. When I tried to connect the walls to the new room i had to pay to have more rooms. Although I had a lot of fun playing it if you are the kind of person that doesn't like spending money, I would not download it because it would be a waste of time. Besides that and you are willing to spend some money I think it would be a great game! An I'm just letting you guys know when you or one of your family members or one of your friends want to download this game making sure they know this.

Pretty good, especially for the price. Just some minor peeves. First, if you upgrade to the full version inside the app like I did, Apple does not show it and will happily let you “buy it again”. The second issue is that there is no way to add text or comments to the layouts. Something like “this is a new wall”. The way it splits out rooms is also pretty basic if you have an open floor plan with kitchen, dinning room, living room in a “L” shaped room you can only give it 1 room name. This kind of goes with being able to add text/comments. Resizing/moving items is hit or miss. You need to tap in different areas in different times to get the size vs move menu up. Finally no way to measure. So I draw a room that is 10 x 10 but I want to place something in in a corner 2 feet from the wall. No easy way to do that. Need to insert something 2 feet wide, place against the wall then add the item, finally removing the position holder item.

Keyplan 3D - Full version. I needed to determine if a guest room could reasonably accommodate a Queen sized sofa bed and not appear awkward. This not only helped me make that purchase decision ,but allowed my wife and I to play with all sorts of design decisions for the room without first spending money. I’m now laying out our new kitchen before we meet with a designer to show him our initial ideas. This package helps with visualization of the space. All in all I’m very happy with this purchase.
