Camera freeze. This is a very good app, but it’s 1 star here because for whatever reason, the camera just freezes. No matter if I’m trying to draw with it or I’m taking a photo, the camera just isn’t working and will not move. This makes this app pretty much unusable, because I’ve tried reinstalling and restarting my iPad but nothing seems to change and I don’t think it’s my iPad’s fault because the camera works with every other app I have (none of them are osmo related however).

It’s a great app and all... I love the app. I was able to make a cute art piece and show it around my school, but one day I found some inappropriate pictures. Also, this is for kids, and it’s a little hard to understand for younger children. And it might inject some bad images in their brains.. Overall, this app is great! It inspires kids to draw, but try to improve what you allow posted on Masterpiece.

This is the game. All I wanted was osmo then I got it for my birthday the starter kit and this my favorite game so for so moms dads buy osmo it is good and the pad is not in the kids face so full stars

It’s good but. This is amazing but I complain about no updates and I already drew all the pictures but it still is amazing if you’re bad at art you can just trace the lines

Osmo masterpiece. My my baby sister just sent me the Osmo World genius kid my daddy just put it behind his back he said first don’t eat the Oreos on the couch because at least boxes and this app called Osmo World and Tangram and this one is the one from numbers and this one is for awards

I like it but…. When I asked my mom if I could get it she said yes! So when I used it it gave me a thought in my head and I could use it, but after a week or so it stopped working and I couldn’t get in and I bet my parents would not even fix it so please fix this app and I also cannot search so please fix it 🥺

Do but buy!. This app is a terrible! I paid 70 dollars just to find out that they “Something went wrong and they weren’t able to recover”, it also says at the beginning that it doesn’t support the iPad we have. It showed a list of iPads that were supported, and our iPad was on there.

Do not get. Any time I try to draw on this app it keeps moving the drawing and I can never get it in the same place so my drawing always is wonky and it is soooooooooooooooooooo frustrating so if you are looking for a drawing app KEEP LOOKING

My search won’t work!!. My search always says disabled and I can’t do anything about it. Can someone please fix this? I’m starting to get annoyed with this game because I can’t draw anything I want because the search won’t work! Please read this review and try to fix it.

Zero creativity. I thought this was going to be a very creative app but apparently I was a stay away from the real answer. This was a tracing app not an app where anyone learns anything. I would rather swim with Puranas in a flaming hot pool then get this app for anyone as a present. I used to love it until. I loved this app so much I used to draw on it all the time. That was until it said it wasn’t supporting iPhones anymore. I used to make stitch drawing for my friends but now I can’t. Now I need to find another app to help me with my drawing. Fix this please and thank you

Just one thing I really super really want to be able to see through our hands and I like detailed but I can’t see any face on a picture of my dog 🐕 cause there is way to much details😑It’s fun to draw memories and my pictures have no face! By the way my pictures are memories so please fix the pat soon!

Emergency! Fix this ASAP. When I have everything set up in both settings and the iPad settings too, it only shows me a blank white screen. I know my camera works and it should be compatible, however, that is not the case. Please fix this monumental problem because I am honestly not gonna ever use it if this problem persists. Great product. I got this for Christmas from my grandma, and I immediately started to play with it. All the games are awesome and I really love the way it amplifies the picture. It works for all iPad sizes, and it is really fun!

Cool but one thing. This game can be for younger kids though,but if kids look up inappropriate pictures like blood and gore,don’t let your kids search bad pictures,but it is for kids Incase they don’t know how to draw,I’m 11 Years Old!

Amazing!. This app is so awesome! It is kinda challenging at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s makes art way more fun and easy! It also makes your free hand art much better! Everyone will be soo impressed with your art!

I love this. The masterpiece game is good and all but there is one hard thing but I ignore the hard thing took a picture of the osmo app then drew it and did the same thing on a Sonic then I drew the Sonic

Good game. So when I got this app I approved my drawing skills from 10 to 1000! All star app and it will really help you get more advanced!

Why can’t I play on my iPhone??? 😕. I got my kit about 2 years ago, and I loved it. It helped me show my creativity, and let me draw everything I wanted to with ease. Though, I was very disappointed when I found out that phones don’t work any more. I have up in the app for about 4 months when I wanted to try again. I opened the app when it said that it fixed the phone problem. I was super happy, but when I went in, it wasn’t working for me. I just tried to do it again 7 months later, and It still isn’t working for me. This is very annoying, because if it was working, it would be my favorite app. Btw I have iPhone XS. Idk If that causes the problem, but I’m still disappointed. Pls fix this :(

Great but needs few improvement..... My 8 year old sister got this game for Christmas from my aunt. When it came with the package, it said that it required an iPad Air, or mini in order for it to fit on the stand. That was a huge problem for us because we didn't have an iPad Air or mini. We have an older generation of the iPad, so it wouldn't fit on the stand😢😓😔. This is not good because we can't use this app properly. I wanted to also write this review because it's not fair that the stand can only fit with certain iPads and not others. Its basically requiring people like me who have older iPads to waste their money on buying a new iPad just because of the requirements for this little game. You HAVE TO FIX THIS NOW!!!!

Beware the Search feature on this app. Apparently this uses Bing SafeSearch and our child was able to produce definitely “ not safe for kids” results on his first few image searches. Customer support says there is an option to disable search via our account - need to find this I guess. Can’t say more about our experience using this app as we too it away from our child after they showed us what they searched for.

I've Only Rated Four Stars Because.... I have only rated this four stars because, though it is an awesome game, it's not really for children. I'm only nine, but I'm warning the parents that this game isn't for younger children that don't understand bad words and some bad pictures when you go to search for their favorite things. But, if they understand to not search for certain things that aren't for kids their age, then this would be the perfect gift for your child if they like to draw. Just a warning about the search.

No IPhones. I bought this kit two years ago and LOVED it! It helped my draw so easily, and it was very fun! I then lost the kit for a year, and just recently found it! I downloaded the app again (Osmo masterpiece) only to find out it wasn’t compatible with iPhones anymore. I and very devastated, annoyed, frustrated, and mad with the company at the moment. If this would be fixed, you would get a 5 star review from me, and I would love to be able to use the app, bc I can’t anymore. Fix this soon. It really is a big problem, and I know I’m not the only one who’s mad about it.

Does not operate as detailed. Received creative kit as gift for christmas. All apps need usage & troubleshooting link. Some usage blind. (I.e. magic). When bringing up line drawings, camera does not recognize pen use on board as pictured in minor instructions. No support detailing help. Camera operates on Monster. Disappointed please help.

Pretty good, but very glitchy.. My siblings and I got the Osmo Masterpiece kit 7 years ago as a present for Christmas. It’s a fantastic app!!! It’s really easy to use and understand, except for one thing. Just recently, in the past year or two, it’s started glitching really badly. The worst glitch is when your picture moves around on the drawing screen so that it doesn’t align with what you have already done. Other glitches are us getting kicked out completely and the search not working. All of this may be because our iPad is 5 years old, but that’s decent still for an iPad’s “lifespan.”

It is awesome. This is awesome I play it every day and night it is so fun and I think it is good for those young children out there

This is kind of trash.. Ok so I’m drawing, and the screen keeps moving every 2 seconds. I choose a complex image, and messed it up because of this. I have tried several of different osmo accounts but nothing works- this is usless. It took me 1 hour rather than 20 minutes to draw this. Wow.

My osmo is working. My app is being weird... no matter how many times I buy a new reflected it still doesn’t work. I went to my normal camera and it was reflecting just fine. I go to masterpiece and it just shows a red screen when I try to draw😠 I’m pretty sure it’s the app

Terrible. My uncle gave me the osmo a few months ago. I was pretty excited because the ads looked fun, but as soon as i got it, i flunk. How do you expect a nine year old to figure out the osmo thing when you’re not even telling them how to use it properly! Okay game. Masterpiece is hard and sometimes doesn’t load pictures the right way. Now it will not let me search. It keeps saying search disabled on this account

Needs updating!. I used all the Osmo apps for several years with my kindergarten classes and the children loved it as I did. I am retired now and wanted to use Masterpiece for my own enjoyment. However although my iPads have moved on, Masterpiece has not. I use the 11 in. iPad Pro which fits just fine in the Osmo base, but Masterpiece won’t work. It will pretty soon become obsolete if you do not update the app to play on newer tech. Considering the price of the base set (which was $100 when I purchased it and is probably more now) it doesn’t seem fair that you don’t update the app to play on the newer iPads. The Osmo system is great if it works on your gadget, and I would have given five stars if it did.

Good but…. I think you should make it so you don’t need to use the camera and I don’t know how to put my drawing in the Osmo gallery

Great!. Good app! I can draw really good from this and it really supercharges your drawing skills. You can really make a masterpiece. The only problem is that when you search, it freezes. That needs to be fixed. Other than that, its great!

Typing issue. When I am trying to type it just sets me in a random spot in my word. It really makes it difficult to type and it’s really time consuming. Is anyone having this problem

i get so frustrated. k, first whenever the is a SPECK of something not white it glitches and moves the pic over to hight AND i’m a drawer and this is NOT ok! so fix that, then i think you sould make something wher you don’t get lousy work just because you don’t have a osmo board -draawingGOD👩🏾‍🎨👩🏾‍🎨👩🏾‍🎨

App is very glitchy. I got the Osmo for a birthday gift a couple years back, and it gave me hours of fun. After about a year I got bored of it, so I deleted all of the apps. Just today I decided to download it again because I wanted to draw some random stuff, and it just wasn’t the same. When I would be drawing the lines would just randomly start to move around the screen. I would be extremely upset, but I would simply move them back. This worked for about two seconds until they would move again, and they would get smaller or larger. I would get very stressed because it would do this when I would be doing very detailed designs, and then they would move to an unfixable position. So if you are extremely patient and willing to deal with this for some silly drawing then I would recommend this app, if not don’t waste your time with it and your money in the started and games.

A challenging app. My siblings and I got the Osmo genius kit for Christmas last year and so far all the apps work great. Masterpiece is actually really challenging though, and too hard for my youngest siblings (3 and 5 years old) to draw. They now prefer the latest addition to our collection, Osmo monster, where what they draw doesn’t have to be perfect. As for he other apps, Osmo Newton, Osmo numbers and Osmo letters all work great, though it is a bit difficult for my siblings to find a letter in a huge pile of tiles. And Osmo tangram works well too, it just seems very dull and is easy to complete all the levels even for 3 and 5 year olds working together. As for the Osmo apps as a whole, my siblings all enjoy playing games from our collection and have added the Osmo Coding and Osmo pizzeria sets to their Christmas and birthday lists! Thanks Osmo, for creating a great set of games!

Love it. I love this app I use it all the time from school projects to just having fun. It is the best app ever. But recently when I drawing it will glitch and get out of the app. If the creator of the app reads this please fix the glitches and it jumping out of the app. Other than that I love this app it’s the best.

Good at the start bad at the end. This app is pretty good at the start when I first got but now it is very glitched. The camera freezes ALL THE TIME!!!!! very disappointed.

File sharing. Very cool app but Needs to improve its file sharing to more then just a email and the the jpeg should be shared as video and a picture ,,

I ❤️ it!. I used to suck at drawing but now even the best drawer in my class is impressed by me! Its just so easy! The lines do confuse me sometimes though. 😀 The new update isnt that good though because it says that my internet connection is bad???? And also when i open the app the screen flashes black and white really fast and hurts my eyes!!! PLEASE FIX THIS BUG!!!

Great App but not working fully for me. Love the App and the creative possibilities but there seems to be a possible bug where I am unable to access my camera roll with a security restriction error. Followed the instructions to change my privacy settings but the App is not listed here to enable. Tried removing and reinstalling, restarting the iPad and no luck. I'm on the iPad mini with iOS v8. Hoping a fix or suggested work-around will be provided soon.

Behind the times. Heads up, this product doesn’t support the latest tech; if you have a decent iPad, the app may not work for you. There’s no plans from the company to fix this issue, so likely not the best investment you can make in a tool for your child. Don’t waste an hour of your day downloading the 10 extra apps or build the anticipation of using this with your child. Make sure it’s all working first because you can’t trust it works how you’d expect. I even asked the company when the release would happen and they just gave me excuses. Buyer beware!

Can't select pictures. Love the idea behind the app but no matter what I try, I can not select any of our photos to use. They load/appear fine, the app has permission to use the camera roll but when I tap an image it doesn't pull anything up. This is (in our mind) the #1 best feature of the app so very disappointing. I've un/reinstalled and it's the same problem. Please fix.

Needs to be updated. Our app is no longer recognizing the drawing base. And the camera zooms in so much that it only captures 40% of the drawing area.

Unusable - freezes during searches and while drawing. This has been rendered useless to us due to the freezing. We’ve ensured all other apps are closed when we kick it off. We’ve soft reset. We’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing fixes it.

Bought this awhile ago. Upgrade I pad now none of the 5 games we have will work. Tech support said we are just very small firm. We don’t have resources to figure it out. Give me break.

Photo Option Unavailable. The photo option seems unavailable with the product I have. Customer support or product development or whoever - you need to fix this asap. Otherwise I'm afraid I have to return the Osmo itself.

Masterpiece it is not yet. I have the Osmo and love it! I was very excited when I watched the video for this app and downloaded it immediately. I have an iPad Air 2 and the app keeps freezing or kicking me out. I hope this gets fixed soon as I would love to show it to my daughter.

Can't enable access to my own photo library. Having fun drawing images from the gallery and from photos I take with my iPad BUT can't enable access to my photo library... When I select masterpiece app in settings I only see camera available to give access. I don't see Photos app as shown in tutorial. Please fix.

Great app, picture warning. This app and the technology are amazing and we love it! But, there is a search bar to find pictures for drawing with easy access to pictures that are NOT child friendly (pin-up style). I talked with customer service rep that assured me they were unaware and will fix it. Until it is fixed, parents beware.

Camera. Hello, I've downloaded the app, but I can't get it to connect to my camera. I've followed the instructions, but turn on camera was not an available option. My other osmo apps are connected to the camera. We are looking forward to using this app one the camera issue is resolved.

Masterpiece is a great app. I've just started taking art classes. This app is great! I don't have to figure out how to sketch what I want to paint. I just load the photograph and wham - masterpiece creates the sketch and reflects it on my art paper. Great for me and grand children will enjoy all other features that is available for osmo.

Excellent fun for home or classroom. I teach 1st and 2nd grade. My students love Osmo. We use all 4 of the currently available apps. Students especially enjoy Newton, which allows them creative problem solving. They like that the levels get increasing difficult and there isn't a "right" solution. We use hands, line drawings, Wikisticks, and pipecleaners to direct the falling balls. I find Words to be a helpful and engaging way to practice content vocabulary and the apps comes with pre-loaded words and photos as well. Tangrams is excellent for spatial relations practice. The wood pieces are of very high quality and students also appreciate being able to select different difficulty levels. Finally, the artists in the class and the creative thinkers both enjoy Masterpieces.

ms.. It worked for 5 minutes. now the app crashes while opening. the worst part is the web site says “ let us know if you have problems” in the help section. it takes another 10 minutes to find out how to contact them.
