In 2022 you can’t be this useless. I have Miele washing machine, drier, dishwasher, 2 ovens, stove top since 2020. The only ones I was able to connect are washing machine, drier, and dishwasher… I still have not been able o connect the ovens! For the appliances that are connected, the app gives only very basic information, like on/off, nothing about system functionality, and maintenance needs, no soap level, nothing. You would think I could set up the appliances to start/stop remotely, but no! I never was able to get the ovens connected yet! I would like to be able to add everything to my Apple HomeKit, but that doesn’t appear to exist. It’s disappointing to see great engineering for the appliances with a non-functioning application and difficult connectivity, common, you can do better than this!
App Doesn’t Work…. We just bought a Miele washer and dryer and part of what sold us was the smart home features offered by the app. We tried creating an account on the app and every time I log in it gives me a “Fault” plus a long hexadecimal number. I kept trying to explain to the service rep on the phone that the app wasn’t letting us log in but he had a script so first we uninstalled the app and then he told me to unplug the washer and dryer. The fact that we weren’t able to get past the login page didn’t seem to affect the workflow. So now we’ve given up on the app. We also tried to register the washer and dryer on the Web (since the app wasn’t working) and we could log in there from the us and password that we had created on the app. Unfortunately we got another error when we went to “my appliances” (something about a lost link to a business ID) and couldn’t register for the warranty. If the app and Web site are this unreliable, I have serious concerns about the product itself. We’ll probably just return them and get something cheaper that at least works as advertised.
Horrible. This app is terrible. If I’m not waiting for 40-60 seconds to access my stove top, I’m logged out or my change are not applied. Even more so, and this is beyond the app but closely related, Miele has opted for some propriety system rather than embracing smart home standards. This means this app is the only gateway to their controls. The appliances themselves are shockingly bad as well. The stove top ignores my manual overrides when I’m adding a pan or changing on the cooking stove and the stove top starts blasting the filter even though I said it should only run minimal speed. The appliances have poor UX, work poorly and are unintelligently designed. But expensive? Yes. I will never, ever, ever opt for this brand again.
Useless. Apparently you cannot create an account from within the app, or at least not easily. Oh, it goes through the motions, but if I let iOS create a strong password, or if I paste in a strong PW, the “create account” button stays greyed out. As if I didn’t type anything in. If I type in my own PW, it rejects it and applies new restrictions not listed in the prompt. Seriously some of the worst UX programming I’ve ever seen. I will not be using this. I hope the appliances are better.
Not even able to set up wifi/ app not working. I bought new washer and dryer TwinDos this past summer 2022. Until now I didn’t set-up the app nor wifi. Today we wanted to finally be able to control washer & dryer on my phone and I couldn’t even log in the app. I downloaded the app, start the login with my email & password used on my Miele account when I registered the machines. I received a message error So in case the website account and the app account we’re not for some reason connected, I tried to register. Now I received a message that this email already had an account. So to make sure I was using the proper password. I went back on the Miele website to reset my password (just to make sure) I go back on the app and try to login again with my email and the password that are associated to my account on Miele website. And yet again, I received an error message! I understand now why this app is rated so poorly. You would think that after spending a lot of money on a washer and dryer (waited 7 months to have them delivered) the app would be at the level of engineering of the washer & dryer. Not at all! So now what is next? Can you please reach out asap to tell me how I can finally login into the app and hopefully use it. I am definitely disappointed and quite annoyed that such a company can’t have proper app on par with their pricing!
Camera. It’s interesting that the app talks about an oven camera and how wonderful it works. We got our oven in late DEC 2022. The camera has never worked. Today I called and was told that it is a known issue. Miele should remove the camera reference on the app description page until it is fixed. All oven owners who paid for the camera app should be refunded the extra dollars that were paid for the camera. The app itself is meh. It is good to get alerts if I’m relaxing and forget my food in the oven. Miele needs to up their game for owners. The user manual has limited information. There are way too many places to look for recipes and classes. As well, there needs to be more remote classes and online tutorials. That being said, Miele is an awesome oven.
TRASH APP for great appliances. If Miele appliances were as poorly designed and as incredibly useless and dysfunctional as their app - I would not even recommend them out of spite to my worst enemies. What an embarrassment - I would be ashamed to be on the product team that launched and maintains this app. Probably outsourced to contractors who did just enough to get it launched. It’s not even a MINIMUM VIABLE PRODUCT. Short version: this app is not worth the 100mb of space it takes up on your phone. Save yourself the headache and just forget this app exists:
Not sure what happen. I have used the app ever since we purchased our washer and dryer. It use to work fine except when Miele changed the software and it quit measuring twindos levels. Now I went to use it today, and the app doesn’t even know my settings, my units, and no connection to my WiFi - seems I have to start all over setting it up. What is this about? Their wasn’t a single note, any communications warning that we need to reset all our units etc. so I am not sure what is going on but not sure I want to take the effort to completely reset the app up again to see my devices. I agree with everyone on how frustrating this app has been.
Promising, but lacking. Can’t figure out how to delete the demo modes on the dashboard page. They just clutter up the page when I don’t need them any more. When using Request Information > Send Message, I thought I’d “Transfer Additional Information,” but after using that option, I couldn’t back out to the Send Message page! I was stuck on the transfer additional information page with no back or send button. I had to restart the app and I had to retype the message! Why is there a “…” button for each machine on the dashboard page when there is only one option — “stop program” — when you press it? Why have the extra step? Why not just have a “stop program” button for each machine on the dashboard page instead of adding a layer of options? Lastly, why do you bury the help/feedback options so deep in the account section? Why not have this at top level?
Piece of junk: can't log in so can't use any functions. I made my account on the website, and I can log in there perfectly fine, manage my account, etc. But when I try to log in with the app, I just repeatedly get "Fault: there was an error processing your request" Customer service just suggests reinstalling the app, but I've reinstalled many times and have the same exact error on two different phones and my iPad. I know it's recognizing my account, because if I enter the wrong password, it tells me so. If I enter the right password, I just get the fault error. I suspect it may have to do with the fact that I created my account on the web instead of in the app, but I can't create a new account in the app now because I already have one from the website associated with my email address. And customer service is terrible about responding.
App no longer works. While this app used to work on previous phones, it does not work on my new iPhone 13. When trying to log in, after accepting the terms and conditions, the scrrrn is blank except for the Miele logo at the top and a button at the bottom which says Scroll to Bottom. I’ve clicked the button but nothing happens since there’s nothing in the screen to scroll anyway. I’ve restarted the app, and even reinstalled, but I always get back to this stuck position after accepting the terms and conditions. I can’t use the app at all anymore.
An update broke old software installations. Pairing process has bad instructions.. 1) App worked fine for me before: 4-5 stars THEN… 2) A recent app update caused app to crash on every startup. I deleted the app (and data) and reinstalled; this fixed crash problem but deleted washer/dryer and app pairing 3) Adding my dryer to the app did NOT work when I explicitly followed the instructions. The app asks if this is your first setup of the appliance. When I answered no (becuase I’ve had the dryer for months) the subsequent app setup would FAIL on step 3.4 (my initial run through) or 3.6 (if I manually entered IP address by clicking top right IP button). The app bizarrely could not see the dryer on the LAN and seemed to time out on the authentication step (even though I could ping dryer with network utilities from my phone) 4) when I lied and answered that yes, this was my initial setup, the app could find and pair with the dryer and get through the auth step 3.6. Note: I’m a comp sci guy with reasonable networking experience, and I am not making silly mistakes like being on the wrong network with my phone (eg being in 5ghz network instead of 2.4)
App worked fine. No real issue setting up the app. The only reason it is 4 stars is that the setup process isn’t intuitive. I can see why some folks have challenges with it. Example when setting up the dishwasher the dishwasher says to use the app to connect the dishwasher to the wi-fi. So I did that and nothing happened later to find out I needed to hit the OK button a few times on the dishwasher to proceed. (Would have been nice to have a prompt that said hit ok to proceed) Boils down to lack of focus on User Experience. Which is typically a blind spot for Engineers so not all that surprised. Great dishwasher though!
Disappointing. Been using, or rather trying to use this app for 2 yrs. Was never able to connect first pair of washer dryer, even trying different methods during 2 hours. Tried again recently, it worked, then I added another pair of similar appliances. Everything about the app is slow, rigid, hardly updating real time (eg the appliance shows ready for mobile control but the app says no, you need to close it and reopen). It does alert you when the cycle is finished. It does allow you to select more extras on a program than the washer allows on its screen: one wonders why!
Unusable, will not let me log in. Customers have been reporting for at least a year that this app doesn’t function well, but nothing seems to be changing. It would be funny, if I hadn’t spent $30K on Miele kitchen appliances. Can I have my money back? Update: the developer’s advice worked, and I’ve increased from 1 star to 3 stars. This problem could be avoided by adding a note to users that they must create a new account, and it must use a different email address. I’ve withheld 2 stars because this poor UX for a premium brand.
After 2 months, still can’t login. No progress from Miele support after 2 months going back and forth and have not heard back from them for 3 weeks. I get an error any time I try to login to the app. I can login just fine on their website. We were hoping to use their wi-fi control/manage capabilities in the washer & dryer we bought (was one of our decision criteria), but still can’t use. When you spend a ton to buy “premium” products you’re supposed to get premium products. Aside from this app, an no wi-fi usability, happy with the washer & dryer. But very disappointed in the Miele Support experience far.
WXD160WCS. Problems calibrating washer and calibration way not complete. Can washer be recalibrated and how? Time on washer not in sync with real time. Wash cycle may say 35 minutes remaining but actually take 50 minutes in real time. Not any water visible at beginning of wash cycle but plenty of water visible during rinse cycle. Only using cold water intake hose and not using hot water intake hose. Are there problems only using cold water hose?
App upgrade broke or downgraded functionality. One buys Miele appliances at a premium cost for their impeccable quality. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for this app. This latest upgrade actually has degraded connectivity functionality. I was forced to reset and reconnect all appliances; and yet randomly the app loses connection and reconnects, sometimes multiple times within the same appliance use cycle. This upgrade has badly broken WiFi connectivity between app and appliances. Whether the app will connect or not is completely whimsical rendering it basically useless. Other gems from this “upgrade” are lost functionality (does not show TwinDos supply levels) and unnecessary and useless animations on the machine icons. Whichever subcontractor Miele outsourced this app development to needs to be replaced with a company that builds an app commensurate with Miele’s appliance quality and reputation.
Fault: There was an error processing your request. I don’t know what to say since I cannot even log in to my account after installing the app and creating my account. I get this completely useless message: Fault: There was an error processing your request. It has been logged (ID: 5368f56f8bdb70f2) It is truly shocking that a major luxury appliance brand has such a terrible app. Response to Developer Question: No, I did not create my account on the website. I created it with the app, and I am unable to login from the app. I’ve never ever faced a situation like this. The error message is not actionable by me and is intended for the developer. Seriously? Response to “Developer” response to my previous comment, to reinstall the app, clear cache, etc.: I have tried all of the above, your app is fundamentally flawed. Like so many other people have said, one cannot even login! It is as basic as that. Please do not offer suggestions that do not work and simply waste my time. Clearly, Miele management is unaware of this terrible situation.
Not what I was expecting. I love my new Miele washer and dryer. They’re fantastic! However, I’m not at all pleased about having to connect my appliances to the internet in order to use all of the features. And so far all I’ve seen when I try to use the remote features is a “server problem please try again later” error message. I don’t need appliances to talk to Miele servers, which talk to my phone. Especially when they don’t seem to want to talk to each other.
Completely inaccessible for Blind individuals. We purchased a coffee machine with smart integration because I am blind and I wanted to be able to make my own coffee using this application. Sadly, I was deeply disappointed by the lack of accessibility the developer thought to bring to this application. The coffee machine is amazing, we love it, but I’m not able to use it on my own. I am always available to consult and help any developer create accessible solutions for low vision and blind individuals. Aside from that, the remote function disconnect randomly and needs to be activated by pressing the touch button on the actual coffee machine, which of course, I cannot do on my own. So, hopefully someone reads this and they reach out in order to improve the accessibility for everyone. If that happens, I will gladly change my rating in the future.
Unbelievably bad app. Simply cannot get worse.. This app is probably the worse app I have experienced in a while. For example the equipment can only connect to one app. So what is a family has more than one user like most families? In response to the above Miele suggested to use the same Login & Password on multiple devices. This is obviously a really bad work-around for a fundamentally bad and unprofessional app design. Miele you really need to lower you premium product pricing if you can only deliver a super low end product to your customers. This is simply a horrible product/application period!!!!!!
Terrible app is still terrible. I wrote a review to the effect of “this thing doesn’t work and can’t even login”. I’m not unfamiliar with technology - in fact I’m a software developer. I still stand by both how ridiculous it is Miele hasn’t fixed simple authentication issues and to email me and I’ll give you free advice on fixing (seriously just want to use the app). I got a response from my first review “have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?” Seriously? You have an auth issue in your servers and that’s how you want to fix it? Sigh, anyways I reinstalled it (and updated it) still can’t login - who would have seen that coming. Originally got my washer (which tbf is awesome) in December 2021, we’re pushing Feb 2022 now. Two months to do nothing hah. Edit: somehow they’ve made it worse in Aug 2022. New updates that I can’t see and now I can’t even load the app, see my account, or my devices. Bunch of hot garbage.
So many great features!. This app unlocks so many excellent and convenient features for our Miele washer, dryer, and dishwasher. I appreciate being able to control and monitor our appliances remotely. I also am grateful that the developers are continuously adding improvements to the app. Fits perfectly with Miele‘s slogan “immer besser.”
Can’t even login. Downloaded the app to use with my appliances, mostly so I could be notified when my wash is done. I have a Miele account and have reset the password a number of times but am still given an error when trying to login on the app. I’ve been trying for months now (seriously!) and the issue still hasn’t been resolved. I can log in to the website from both a phone and PC and see my registered appliances just fine, but the iOS app continues to give me an error notification whenever I try to login. In other reviews I see they’ve suggested creating a new account with a different email and new credentials— this won’t work, because my appliances are already registered to my existing account. Maybe try fixing the app?
Utility of Miele App Going in the WRONG Direction. The Miele app no longer tracks the levels of the TwinDos detergents in my Miele washer that is less than a year old. Formerly, it would track the detergent levels and notify the owner when the levels were becoming low. Removing this functionality, without any notification to the customer of this loss of functionality, resulted in our washing clothes without any detergent after the detergent supply unknowingly ran out. The washer’s manual directs the owner to reset the detergent levels to 100% after TwinDos cartridge replacement using the app but the app no longer supports this detergent reset. Attempts to contact Miele technical service/customer for updated directions leads to a phone menu options that offer everything other than an option to talk anyone in technical service/customer service. Miele, if it is your intent is to destroy your reputation in the US, and want to drive away your current customers, you are doing a great job!
New Start! Looks Great!. The user experience of the new App is much better than the legacy one. I have not tried the connection setup with new appliances, but all of my existing appliances are fully functional in the new App and I like the sleek design of dashboard. I do hope the App can support usage history per appliance in the future. Also the fill levels for G7566 dishwasher are still incorrect or unavailable.
One Size Fits All. The app works pretty well, allows me to view the estimated time remaining on my load. My washer which is a medium range model does not have some of the features available thru the app. Some features now available on my washer are Eco, Water Plus, Single Item. These features can be selected via the mobile app when doing a Mobile Start load. I’m not sure if selecting these features acutely make a difference. Will the washer add extra water each fill if I select Water Plus via the app, what about the Eco Option? I don’t think the app correlates correctly to the model of appliance you have. I think they applied a One Size Fits All aspect to their app. However, it is very useful and convenient when looking up the estimated time remaining.
Abysmally bad.. This app has so much potential to be great, but my appliances won’t stay connected long enough for me at actually use it. Every time the app updates, both my washer and dryer disconnect and I have to fight tooth and nail to get them reconnected (the app will never recognize the appliance WiFi once connected to it and fails 95% of the time). It is frustrating enough to have to reconnect my appliances with every update, but add in that reconnecting them is nearly impossible and it makes me wonder why I paid so much money for this washer and dryer in the first place. EDIT: Thanks for the tips and they did finally connect, but I reiterate that it shouldn’t be this hard. I shouldn’t have to do phone gymnastics to reconnect my appliances (again and again).
App literally don't load after first page. Completely doesn't load with the latest update. To reproduce steps that I took: 1. Open app 2. Select "USA" from location list 3. Tap "login" 4. I can see terms & condition, with a "scroll to bottom" button, click that and then hit "agree" 5. Takes me to an empty page with "scroll to bottom" button, but tapping that doesn't work at all. So I can't even login. When I tried a different country (New Zealand), looks like the second page is the"privacy policy" page. So I'm guessing something's wrong with the US version of the privacy policy page. What I've tried: - restart the app - reinstall the app - both 5GHz and 2.4GHz wifi - turning off wifi and login using 5G - turned on & off VPN - selecting "New Zealand" and login with the US password, app says it's incorrect credentials. When tapping on "forgot password", no password reset link is sent
Washing assistant failure. The washing assistant in the app is a great idea but it doesn’t work. It helps you pick the correct settings but when entering the choices on the washer it’s very difficult. The washer uses words for temp and rpm while the app gives you actual temperature and rom numbers. It would be great if these were the same. ALSO you cannot start the washer from the washing assist app because it errors if you have colored wash. There is no way to correct this warning. The washer has the color choice and works. Would love to see the washing assistant app work better. I have had my washer dryer set for over a year and still REALLY struggle trying to get my washer set for the types of clothing and then the wash dried without any wrinkles. Still has not happened yet. I was hopeful with the assistant but not that helpful yet.
Miele Hardware Great the app is THE WORST. where to start? I'm a German expat living in the US. Miele is part of my upbringing. The hardware is still top notch. But the App? Absoluter Mist. Absolute Garbage. Miele should be so embarrassed. Too many things wrong it would fill up pages. I just mention one. Something they don't seem to be able to fix. Setting manually the TwinDos level. You can't do it. Really? You still were not able to fix this in a year. I'm not surprised you are only getting 1 star ratings. Maybe time to find somebody else. Samsung and LG are looking more promising. Received answer within a couple of days from Miele This is what they wrote Hi, Bdanneb - To set manually the fill level, your appliance must be switched on. If you then click on the Status tab of the fill level, you will be redirected to a page where you can set the fill levels manually. The fill levels can be adjusted with a horizontal slider. This app is useless.. This app is useless. Wishing I wouldn’t have bought a Miele dishwasher. I can log into the Miele website with my user name and password but I tried doing the same on the app and keep receiving an error message. Tried calling Miele’s customer service number about 20 times and it never connects you to anyone you can talk to. One time it connected it sounded like someone was watching movies on their end. The one time I got through they said to uninstall the app and then reinstall it. Did that and still the same error message. Have been trying to call the Miele service number and it connects you to no one on the line. For what I paid for the dishwasher their app, customer service and products are complete garbage.
Only can see status of dishwasher. I liked the auto-dos ability of my dishwasher. This would have been perfectly paired with a working app. Start the dishwasher without being home or when you remember late at night while laying in bed. The app paired it shows my dishwasher and the current status. It will let me turn on. But doesn’t actually start the dishwasher. Maybe because I bought my Miele from Lowe’s and not high end store the app just doesn’t work for my version.
Unable to log in. No response from miele. Very disappointing. Edit- miele responded several weeks later asking if I created account on phone or website. Does it matter? If so why are there not instructions that say so. Tried creating account both ways, both ways fail. Even though miele sent this question, question came from a do not reply address with no instructions on how to reply. Is there a way to create a review with negative numbers? That’s what this app needs.
Dumpster fire. Buy anything else.. When miele washer / dryer is working, it is great. However: 1) this app just plain won’t open. Just shows miele logo and then crashes. 2) miele washing machine W1 UI is the worst in the business. Seriously. It is impenetrable. Goodness help you if you want to either figure out of if twindos is active in a wash, or cancel the cycle and switch to something else. Impossible. 3) the machine has a built in defect- if twin dos cartridge is left in the machine for a few weeks and the machine is not used, or twin dos is not used (easy to do if you don’t known what to look for), it will clog, requiring a $600 service call to fix it. Nowhere is this mentioned. One would think that an app could help with 2) and 3), but no, because the app doesn’t even open. Unfortunately, this is 100% consistent with our experiences with the miele brand.
Worst app ever!. Even ignoring the fact that this app is meant to represent a high-end brand, this has to be worst app ever. All my appliances that I had added disappeared from the app. And now every time I try to add them back, I get a “server not reachable error.” Click on the Stock tab and the error is “We are having some technical issues”, and that error has been going for a few days now. Go to the Profile/Account information tab, and the option to update your password doesn’t work (keyboard doesn’t even pop up when you try to enter your email address, and the app then crashes). And yes, I have the latest iOS version, have tried to restart the phone and so on. Basically the app is totally useless.
Can’t log into app on new phone with my USA Miele account. The Miele app worked fine in the past - I used it to notify me when the washer & dryer finish a load. When I got a new phone, I tried logging into my account, but the page where I am supposed to accept the terms and conditions is blank. I could accept the terms for another country (I.e) Canada, but account login failed. My girlfriend tried on her phone and had the exact same issue. I tried calling support, and they referred me to the washer manual to troubleshoot what is clearly a new bug in the mobile app. I emailed support but never heard back. I purchased this washer and dryer partially because it had a mobile app, and now I’m considering returning them both.
Disappointed. This app has some features that are useful but really it is a glorified laundry cycle alarm. The one thing that would be cool is the timed function however it never works. If you specify a start time, like say 5:00am, and then hit the start button it just starts and you are stuck with wet clothes in the machine all night! This is really the only function on this app that would be useful and it never works.
Crashes, cannot use the app at all. Something has changed since I last ran the app. Both the app and iOS are fully up to date as of today. When I attempt to launch the app, after several seconds of a static splash screen, the app crashes. I tried 4 times before I gave up, and it crashed all 4. I see other people posted app reviews indicating they also experience this problem. I’ll go back to a 4 star review after the issue has been corrected. I take off a star because the app is slow to load, and because the login flow sometimes leaves me logged out needing to log back in, and login fails to integrate correctly with password manager apps.
Useless. I’ve Miele appliances which the app was quite useful for a couple years but now the app not functioning. The symptoms have gone from bad to dysfunctional. The initial issue was not able to link the appliances and now at startup the app immediately returns “…having some technical issues”. I’ve removed and reinstalled the app several times. The app is installed on several iPhones with the same issue. In addition, have verified the appliances are connected to the home network. Seems QA has gone down the drain.
Cannot log in. I have not been able to log into the app at all. I’ve created different logins for the web vs app. I’ve installed on different devices. I’ve uninstalled and renistalled. I cannot log in. Reading past reviews this hasn’t been working in a long time. Why advertise you have WiFi capabilities when they don’t work?? False advertising. Disappointing doesn’t begin to cover it. Updated after your response - I already have created two accounts. Shockingly amazingly bad!!!. I have experienced bad apps from beginner non-programmers from many non-accredited schools and programs, and I can assure you that this app from inexplicably an expensive brand is the very worst ever!!! Really!!! And absolutely. I paid a premium price for a Miele washer and drier and based on the non-performance of this app I can just say not only never again, but KEEP AWAY from any of these Miele products!!! Firstly the basics. There is no way to reset a password!!!! The app redirects to the home page and neither can you reset it from the website. I have been trying for days. If I were Miele, the time is nigh to bring down your already risibly bad digital properties and not create furiously unhappy customers with app that is so, so, so bad. Then when my app used to work, I had to live with a dumb “demo” washer!!!! Why would I want a demo washer in my account IF I have an actual washer?!!!! How about letting the user delete it? And I am mostly furious because Miele won’t let me activate high water plus levels (needed for the washer to not damage clothing) without the app and that does not work at all now. This is the worst app I have ever seen. It is a tragedy to behold. Never Miele again for me!
Miele update functions as desired. Added a useful feature to take the mystery out of choosing programs and options depending on the laundry type being washed. Bravo! I cannot comment if they have fixed the infuriating user registration issue that required 2 user IDs, one for the app and another for the website. Request to Miele: it would be useful to be able to buy TwinDos units and caps from the app.
Sadly app is as bad as reviews indicated. I wanted this app to be better than the reviews indicated. It wasn’t. Pretty graphics. Was able to pair my dryer with home network. It did nothing. I want to change a program setting (turn off the dryer buzzer). The manual gives incorrect instructions. Customer support was painfully useless (three tries). Thought I might be able to access the program function from the app. No. Then I thought that if I could control the dryer remotely, I could at least turn off the dryer when the buzzer went off. No. Last ditch: I’d try to turn the dryer on remotely. It’s the only feature in the app. Didn’t work. App deleted.
Frustratingly Unreliable Wireless Connectivity. Love my Miele appliances, and spent a fortune for them. One of the many reasons I bought them was for the promise of convenience they’d bring through connection with their namesake app on my iPhone. Instead, the convenience is more an exercise in frustration. I’ve registered the products, used the steps provided by Miele to successfully add them to my wireless network using the Miele app, however, when I launch the app (usually in a moment I’m in a rush and want to lean on connecting wirelessly to preheat my coffee station, or check the status of dishes cleaning in my dishwasher) it’s a crap shoot whether I’ll be successful. At least 70% of the time, I receive a message in response letting me know my appliance isn’t “connected” to the network. Miele, please (I’m begging) please fix these connectivity issues with a software update if possible. I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars on your products and expect them to work as advertised.
Update from bad to worse - dishwasher. App feels like an advertisement now. Lost functionality. Product/design team should be fired. No longer show salt or rinse aid levels. Also, no longer shows the cycle it’s currently in. Thanks. Your app is now 100% useless. We didn’t want you to totally redesign your crappy app. We wanted you to fix the crappy api calls and internal memory. Look at your reviews, find the root problems, and improve. It’s 2021… How hard can it be? Update: After 6 years with a $2200 dishwasher and writing bad reviews, I finally got a response! 6 years! Best dishwasher I’ve ever owned. But aside from your vacuum cleaners, I’ll never buy your products again. Just don’t go the tech route — you’re terrible at it. Stick with with making excellent products. Consumers won’t stick with you if you offer technologies you can’t perfect then charge them through the roof.
Frustrating App. For the second time in the past couple months, the app has logged me out and removed my connected washer and dryer. Then, even though the washer says it’s connected to the app, the app won’t recognize the washer. The only fix is usually to delete the app and start over. Even then, the connection process is tedious. I would expect a much better and more consistent app from a company as competent as Miele.
An absolute garbage app. Update: app loads once if it’s newly installed, and then ceases to function thereafter. Will work again if I delete and reinstall app. That’s NOT a reasonable process! *Neither* is constantly erasing cache and settings in safari or on the wider device, like the developed keeps hawking. 6 months ago it worked. Then it updated and hasn’t worked since. Won’t load list of machines. Won’t connect to Miele servers. Won’t add new machines. Just utterly trash. Why does Miele even pay this group to build apps when they can’t possibly be delivering functional software. Edited: the developer “response” is tone deaf. They have hundred of users explaining how broken this app is in hundreds of ways, and they still say “log out and back in” as if this isn’t the ONLY app that behaves this way out of dozens on my phone. No other app has this absurd level of recurring issues. You can’t “log out” if you *the app never fully loads* in the first place.
WORST APP EVER. I have followed all instructions as far as registration goes. I have been unsuccessful at signing into app even after signing out of my laptop, changing my password a hundred times, deleting and re downloading app a thousand times and even went into apple store to make sure nothing was wrong with my phone It is so ridiculous to keep getting an error / troubleshooting/ problem reported as well as remain unsuccessful at getting into app to hook my machines up to my phone. Pointless to be smart phone machines with a horribly designed app.

Sorry but this app being associated with Smart Home is misleading. This is app should be tagged Dumb Home! The fact that every single time I need to press a switch on my Oven to allow me to use this Smartphone app to control EVERY SINGLE TIME! Makes me wonder why they bother with it! Yes, I turn the oven off when standing in front of it and I need to remember that I also must turn on the ability for the Miele App to connect to it! DID I MENTION EVERY SINGLE TIME? What a pathetic excuse for a super expensive range of products!
Can’t even log in…. Can’t log in. It says saved password is incorrect. I problem, I’ll change it. Forgot my password does not work. No emails, checked spam. Nothing. Deleted app and reinstalled. Didn’t help. Online support does not deal with tech issues… not sure where to go from here.
Kind of useless. Whilst I love getting a pop up notification on my app telling me the washing or drying is complete so I don’t forget about it, I can’t stand that I can’t silence the alarm from the app once I’ve acknowledged the notification.
Terrible mobile integration for a brand new washing machine. Common Miele…. I’m unable to go past “Select Program” from my iPhone Miele app. Since 2 months now. It says connected “Mobilestart” and your app is truly garbage. - Fix it pls ?? For a premium company - hire a good app developer to work with machine tech.
Love the machine, HATE the app. The machine we have washes our clothes wonderfully and really is as energy saving as it is said to be. However, it is shocking that I now have to get a technician to our home just to check the machine because it will not connect to the app. Seriously??? I would’ve expected a far better system by Miele.
Multiple users share an account? Really?. To add a device requires the plate (sticker) on the device to be scanned, but the camera’s zoom is disabled in the app, and focussing on a narrow sticker doesn’t work. So in fact the scanner works on about 50% of appliances, the rest require the number to be typed, and the sticker is often not easy to see. The messages on the appliance may not reflect what is happening, for example the app says it’s working, but the appliance says “connection failed”…. After struggling through the connection process, any pretence of security goes out of the window when you discover that to add a second phone requires using the same user account! So every user shares the same password. Wow. Clearly they put zero thought into that!
Useless App. Downloaded the latest version which has made the app and mobile function for my washing machine useless. I constantly receive a “we are experiencing technical issues” error. At least the previous version of this app worked, this version is just as slow but has completely reduced the use ability of the app.
Old version 3.8, is better. Multiple problems with this app not the lease of which is can’t operate via mobile start. Others: less information, slower, etc Please bring back old till these are sorted!
Waste of time trying to make it works. (1) spend a lot of time to get the devices connected. (2) After a while, could not logon. The reset password function did not work, tried a few times to reset password, still fail. (3) register a new user id and could not pair the devices. Wasted too much of my time for this Miele App

Bring back the old app!. Where’s the assistant??? That was one of the best features, I’m so sad it’s gone in the new version! It’s great that the new version is faster but I don’t like that I can’t see the amount of soap left in the container. Please bring back these features!!!
Missing some features. It's great that I can turn the washing machine off after it finishes, but what about the dryer? It's really frustrating that there's no stop button for the dryer. Please add one! This is for Tumble Dryer TWR780WP.
Good But Fails to Deliver on Remote Start. Amazing machine but the app is not so amazing. Great that you can see updates from the machine whilst out but the functionally of remote start does not work at all, as with other comments the “we are having some technical issues” is all too frequent. Hopefully this will be fixed as the ability to remote start a load will be amazing.
Could have more features. I really like this application, but it could have more features. I have 2 Miele appliances, 1 dishwasher and the WT1 XXL Washer-dryer. The app has more features available for the dishwasher then the washing machine. Part of the reason is that the dishwasher has the Ecofeedback option so you can keep track of how many times you used you machine and which programs you used, but I think this feature could be used for the washing machine as well even though it doesn’t have Ecofeedback. The app should be able to determine and remember which washing or drying programs I used and could track my washing machines use and time. Even if it won’t show energy and water consumption. The app always connects to the washing machine when it’s working and I get notifications on my phone all the time, so it should be able to remember and store information like how many washing and drying programs I used per week or month and see the statistics in the app similar to the dishwasher. Please Miele 🙏 add this functionality in the future. Also it would be nice if you could release a software update for the washer-dryer so it could also have Ecofeedback 😊.
Mobile start is useless!. In the main program parameters screen for the washing machine, there’s nothing to select as nothing happens when I tap on Program: Please select! I’ve updated to the latest app version; I’ve restart my phone, I’ve waited. Nothing! Useless ! I was hoping to set it up to start wash 1st thing in the morning. I can’t be bothered to use the mobile app for the tumbler dryer.
Please get the basics right. For the washing machine * allow to dismiss the finished notification so the machine stops beeping * I have constant ultra phase anxiety: is there still enough? The app says level is sufficient where only about two tablespoons left. Once I missed on the second one and nor machine not app notified me. Should be constant notification every wash until I refill or turn off * the app is super slow, like I’m communicating with a machine on Mars * the machine can be operated remotely notification is annoying.
Not smart at all. We love having a smart home but this is one of the most expensive yet dumbest appliances. Why aren’t my favourite programs automatically visible in the app? Why are there no stats on usage, consumption etc. I also don’t understand why you need to physically switch the machine into app mode, which times out pretty fast. The machine should always be available from the app. I expect a lot more from this washing machine and I hope you are focusing on the app features as a priority. Maybe have a look at the stats you can look at with an aircon unit and go from there.
Total junk. Can’t login to the app to use it due to a supposed password error. Reset it twice and it works on the website. Life is short. I wasted too much time on it, so I have deleted the app and will never try again. No famed German engineering excellence to be found here.
Terrible. After the app not working on our new machine, I got excited with the app update and yet again it does not work. Functionality very poor. Back to manual operation. Poor service from the time of purchase through to actual operation.
Improvement!. I have 5 Miele appliances and finally the app works again for all of them. I am grateful for the latest update, my life is hugely improved by receiving notifications when programs are finished. Thank you
This app needs serious work!. First of all, some of the appliances just won’t get added to the app, tried so many times, after this update, these units all became “non connectable “, and can only be added as dummy units, can’t even see the operating manual - click on it, and says does not exist! Miele makes outstanding appliances, how can this app be so bad! Can’t even post this review, keep asking for a nickname and telling me they are all taken!!!
So badly developed - why Miele?. Ok let me say Miele appliances are the literal BEST so why is the app so poorly developed. It simply does not work. It’s so buggy. Will only connect 20% of the time when the device is confirmed connected to the network & active. I’m assuming like most companies today it’s cut price offshore development in a hurry to get something to market. The UI is outdated & the UX well I have no words for how bad this is. Start again you’re wasting your time and ultimately will loose customers. I’ll think before I buy Miele again & that’s just disappointing.
Lacking support for power wash?. With my washing machine (WWG 360) most cycles (like cottons) allow you to add power wash as an extra to the cycle yet the app doesn’t support it for Mobile Start. Even if my previous program for cottons had it (and the app shows a run time of 1:36) and I select it, the run time is 3:09 because the app doesn’t support it. Can you add support for it and I’d happily give 5 stars?
Frustrated. App was working well. Then it logged me out (after an update I think) and now I can't log back in. When I say "forgot my password" - it says it's sending me an email but I never get an email. When I try to reregister - it says this email is already registered. Frustrated...
Update still won’t work. Was anticipating a solution to all the failures of 4.0 but was extremely disappointed to find that 4.0.1 has not fixed a thing. Apart from adding Alexa… which doesn’t work because the app won’t I spose.. again, disappointed still can’t benefit from the mobilestart and other features that were removed when 4.0 came in.
Miele App and Dishwasher. The app constantly says that the dishwasher is not connected the the WiFi or is turned off. But I can see it connected to the router thru my phone and pc connected to the modem router. In addition when it does show up in the app the button to turn on the dishwasher on only shows up randomly. Most times the button does not appear on the page. Basically the app is useless and I have to operate the machine directly 95% of the time.
One of the most annoying apps ever. I add my Applience and without being asked it adds a demo Applience. These two flick around and get the order changed constantly in the app. One second I’m selecting my real Applience then the demo. Can’t get rid of the demo unit, that process errors out. Stupid and annoying. Not to mention constant needs to reset the app. Junk

Sloooow!. I’ve recently connected a number of other branded devices to the internet and apps, and although Miele’s app interface is respectable, it’s slow and awkward to connect. It takes forever and is unreliable.
What a JOKE 4 years of the first V1 App worked now use all. As long loyal Miele users, our washer and dryer were updated to newest versions. Along with Miele upgrades to app. The never ending errors continue! You can’t get Dryers to connect? But the washing machine does. Oh but that is ONLY if the app even opens up. Crashing is constant “welcome” as is the setup! The worst app & network setup ever. Miele listen to your customers! Have you bothered to check the app reviews? The web reviews, a simple google search you will see the 100’s of threads complaining about this issue. Step up your game! $8000k + on washer and dryer and you can’t even use the tech YOU Offer!
Ver 4.3.1 should be the stable release. Waited and experience app crashed since purchasing WWI860 in Oct 2021 The version 4.3.0 and prior is absolutely rubbish vs ver3.x on my iPad which is flawless This stable release version should be version 4.0 Still it’s not perfect but at least I can schedule the desired program without crashing /disconnect
Non starter. Comparing this to the Bosch application is comparing night and day. Bosch connect setup, done. This thing, 10th attempt faults with error 3.7.17 really useful, cannot add my dishwasher to the account, no idea why. Had to restart the phone multiple times , even the dishwasher multiple times to get it pass updating wifi module to finally adding the device to the account. However it just bombs out with 3.7.17, no idea why and makes no sense. This application is bad compared to other wifi pairing applications from smaller companies such as LIFX or even Sensibo and utter garbage compare to Bosch. Do better Miele.
New app doesn’t work. Just doesn’t work! Keeps saying they are having “technical issues”. What’s the point of the app if you can’t use it. I can’t programme my washing machine as I keep getting the same response. For the price of the machine it’s extremely disappointing. I’ve had previous touchscreen issues and had to get it replaced and now this. Please fix this app ASAP.
New app no longer work with WWG360 washing machine. There were bugs in the previous version app but at least the app can communicate with washing machine ( purchased within 3 months only). After the update, all important information is gone and the app can no longer allow me to chose program for my washing machine. Please fix. Do NOT buy Miele smart home devices unless they fix the app.
Insecure app and rubbish support. Only a couple of weeks after downloading the Miele app and creating an account, my account got hacked and I lost access to the app. Each time I requested a new password, I received a temporary password in Bulgarian language. When I contacted the customer support (several times) they just advised me to change the language from Bulgarian to English, as if the problem was the language!! Given that Miele accounts are hacked so easily, and that anyone who hacks a Miele account can control your appliances remotely, I strongly advise users not to use the Miele app.
Can’t create account. I can’t create an account as when I type in the matching password I get this error message: There are errors in your form, please try again. No matter what combination I try with new passwords it doesn’t work. Very frustrating )-:
Strange setup. Why does the tumble dryer needs to be turn to MobileStart manually before you can remote start? That defeat the purpose of using mobile, since you have to walk to the tumble dryer and turn the knob, you might as well start the dryer while you there
Cannot connect. Before this update I could at least connect and see how long in the cycle it is. Now after the update to the current version it says my machine is offline, which it clearly is not as I can see it on my router. This is not the German excellence I am used to. May I suggest a beta program where users could test for you as the QA side from you is woefully inadequate.
Half way there. This app is a bit of “everyone has an app so we should too”. But it’s not actually useful. You can’t access all the settings on your coffee machine, you can’t configure your drink preferences. You can’t customise anything, you can’t even ask it to make 2 coffees. All you can do is start making coffee and starting a coffee from you phone is pretty useless because you have to go put milk and cups in the machine anyway. This app would be much more useful if it was solely for machine configuration.
App crashes immediately upon opening if i try to link my dryer. I have a washing machine and tumble dryer. They were both previously connected to the app and working. We set up a new wifi network. I reconnected the washing machine but cannot connect the dryer. When i attempt to connect via the app it times out. When i connect via WPS the dryer successfully connects to our wifi network but the app crashes before i can connect it to the app. When i try to re-open the app it crashes immediately and this continues for hours. I have deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times. I have rung Miele support and they have told me they cannot help as it is a problem with the app and that i need to contact the app provider. My expensive Miele washer and dryer are not working as advertised if i cannot use remote start and get notifications when my laundry is finished ed or if there is a fault with the dryer.
Awful step backwards from the old app….. In the old app I could see how much water and power the washing machine and dishwasher used each cycle. Very important for those of us the live off grid. Now that’s gone. Also I used to be able to see the % of detergent left in each autodos container. Now it just says “sufficient”. Can we please go back to the old app!
Worst app I’ve possibly ever used. Miele products - the best you can get. We purchased six Miele appliances for our new place and I remember reading the reviews for this app prior thinking “there’s no way they’re right - Miele wouldn’t produce something so terrible”. How wrong was I? I’ve literally never once rated an app, but this is SO BAD I’ve felt compelled to write one. Miele, sort your stuff out. If your products weren’t so good I’d be advocating for people to avoid you based on this app. The user experience is atrocious.
No service. Have received a Freezer which does not work, Have tried numerous times and spent a total of three hours on hold over two separate occasions. Finally got through was told would be contact by customer service which still has not happened. Very disappointed and the freezer will be put out on verge if I can stop payment which I am currently in he process of completing. No stars no service
Where’s the smarts in the smart appliance. What a half-baked effort. Because of its noisy and persistent alarm on the washing machine, I had paused the machine because I got tired and wanted to go to sleep. I assumed I could continue the cycle in the morning. In the morning I found the machine had switched itself off (good it’s saving power but surely it could go to a low power mode) and could not continue the program while I got on with my morning routine. First I would expect to be able to setup silent alarm and be notified through app when finished. I would expect a sleep mode to either pause and resume at set time. App should be able to fully control machine no matter what mode it is in and even if it is off.
Worst app I have ever used.. I cannot start washing machine programs with the new app. Sometimes it even shows the washing machine as off when it is on. The old app worked fine. This is frustrating. Please fix the new app
Broken in iOS 17, now fixed. Worked in iOS 16 but broken in iOS 17. Fixed with update received recently. However, there are some acknowledgements now required and you can’t login anymore. Uninstall the app, reinstall and you will be able to login. Seriously Miele who is doing your app development. Upgraded from 1 star (broken) to 3 stars (fixed but still mediocre).
Smart App? More like Glitchy App. Since recent updates all this app does now is crash.. crash.. crash.. Developers, test your application before launch as there is many bugs in your current version.
Localisation? What's that?. A German app telling me that my address in Australia is invalid and then suggesting an alternative that is pure gibberish that lacks the street type identifier is some level 1 slack. If you want to use an app to push your products then you need a valid address, not the Europeanised interpretation of what you think it should look like.
What a terrible app. I have given this app a one star review, only because one star is the lowest. I’d much rather give 0 stars! This app is only good enough to notify when the washing load is finished! That’s it! End of story. The Wi-Fi is connected, yet the app loses its access to the washing marching. No it’s not user error. I’m a network engineer, my wifi is perfect. In fact this washing marching is locked to my 2.4Ghz network in my IoT ssid on its own Vlan. It’s not like it needs lots of bandwidth. 2.4Ghz is best for longer range Wi-Fi. I’d not my Wi-Fi strength is -54dBm (very good). So please Miele improve the app! It’s letting you down!
Update for app. This is bad, very bad. The app logged me out and requested an update which I did. I can no longer use the app as it won’t move past the logo page, so now I can’t use the wireless connection to my washing machine.

Unreliable. App was initially working fine but now very buggy. Asks to confirm EULA each time app is opened. Quite annoying
AutoStart not working. For the amount paid, the app should be a lot better and fonctionnal. Having a whole feature not working is really disappointing.

Typical. Everything Miele does is crap. Overpriced crap. They need to throw all their engineers out and start over. The app is no exception.

not connecting. First time using the app, trying now to connect it for over an hour and it’s not working. Too bad.
Can’t get connected. I’ve followed all of the instructions multiple times. I can connect the ovens to my local wifi, but not to the phone app. I’ve called Miele and emailed them and I can’t get any real help.
Worst app and experience. Won’t connect.. Brand new appliances and none of them connect. I have wasted hours researching and trying. Ironically I registered my SubZero with zero issues.
Great once you get it working. It took three attempts between Miele tech support and my internet provider to connect and set up our new washer and dryer to the app. The manual doesn’t give sufficient information to perform all the necessary steps and the app didn’t offer me the ability to connect the appliances through the app. I was successful in connecting both appliances using WPS on my Rogers router. After connecting the app still will not work until you finish the installation commissioning for each machine. You also have to scroll through the menus on the machine to activate the mobile control. It took me quite a while to figure it all out but it now works perfectly. I can choose programs, options for the programs and start the machine right from the app on my iPhone or iPad! Very helpful as I don’t have to look at the manual and then scroll through options on the machine’s control panel to choose programs. Miele would benefit by fixing the instructions
Needs work. Took a lot of time to get the App working and the dishwasher connected to WiFi. Very clumsy setup procedure. Once connected, I could only turn the machine on or off. The App neglects to tell you how to activate MobileStart on your appliance. Wasted time figuring that out. It turns out it just means hit “remote” in the front panel! Why not just say that??? I expected more from Miele. Did Miele contract Microsoft to do the app? Seems like it. Poorly done.
Appliance Connection Drops Frequently. When I first installed the app I loved it. Always could check in when washer & dryer would finish & got notifications when cycle completed. Now the app frequently shows both appliances not connected. Sometimes one is connected & not the other, sometimes both are connected. Renders the app as useless! Appliances themselves display that they remain connected. I have reverted to setting a timer in my phone to let me know when to run down to the laundry room.
Terrible app. Before the last update I would receive notifications when laundry was done. Now I don’t get any notifications.
Bug - terms of use accept button. There appears to be a bug in the current version. When using the app for the first time, it presents a terms of use agreement. Clicking on the accept button doesn’t ever accept. It keeps looping through the same terms of agreement dialogue and you can’t get beyond it. All that said, looking forward to using the app and my new Miele appliances!
Very poor considering the brand. Took forever to set up with products. Every time I open the app I have to approve the user agreement... For such a high end brand this is a very low end product, makes me question their other products quality.

Embarrassing for Miele. One would think that Miele would be able to make an investment in an app that would support the brand/reputation of its appliances. If there was an example of an app that was designed by a back-end programmer with no consideration of usability and the user experience .... this would be it. This app is a mess. Miele - hire a UI/UX person. Start from scratch and re-build the app starting from a an end user standpoint. Keep your devs away from defining how the app should be designed.

Worst app. I am not sure whether this was ever tested. Fridge/freezer wants to scan or use image recognition to add. Neither works Washer and dryer installed fine, but the app literally does nothing but allow me to order more detergent, nice
Password Reset does not work. I’m sure the new wine storage guide is lovely and all, but I’d much prefer if the basics like password reset worked. The app doesn’t require you to enter your password twice on creation, so maybe it’s a typo. That’d be no big deal but after 10+ attempts over 24 hours there’s still no email (yes the address is correct and no it’s not in spam). Maybe the reset service works the same limited hours as Miele tech support. Really unacceptable from a premium brand!

Extremely Convenient. For very detailed customized programs or to just launch a program remotely and keep informed when the washer is done or the dryer is done, this is really the best app I’ve ever worked with!
Crazy system. Talk about progress! My husband, happy to get smart machines with an app, set everything up with tons of problems from the get go that got solved over time. But now, I learn that to have an account on our premium machines, I need to use his email and his password!!! I can’t believe it. I had to listen to “James’ “message twice to believe it. These Miele smart machines are NOT ready for market. What a shame. I have had Miele machines all my married life (since 1981). I’ve never been let down. Always worth every penny. Not now with this app. Keep to what you know team! Machines!
App is a fraud. It doesn’t work. I am immensely disappointed: a highly reputable brand with a mediocre app.
Needs improvement given how much Miele stuff costs!. Premium price should equal a premium experience. This app is *OK* but, really, your developers didn’t test the app sufficiently to know that the user agreement shows up (and needs to be dismissed) EVERY TIME I start the app? Absurd. Come on Miele, with the price your appliances cost, you should be doing better.

MIELE APP REVIEW: PROBLEMS. I got my second Miele laundry pair in June 2023. Firstly, Miele app is NOT user friendly. I had Miele app upgrade notice, but next to none advice how to proceed. I believe I eventually was able to upgrade Miele app, BUT the next time I did laundry, my Miele washing machine was dead!!! It was the evening of Friday September 01, 2023: Long weekend and no technical support. I called Miele store at Yorkdale. I was told that it does happen and to use the breaker to re-set the washing machine and book a technician to come over. It worked, but the next day I had the same problem again!!! I love my new Miele laundry pair as I have loved all my Miele appliances, but the after sales customer service is NOT IMMER BESSER!!! Miele should have over the phone technical support. Also, I was unable to install Miele app. It is not user friendly. I had to go to Miele store at Yorkdale.

Poorly designed. No Siri Shortcuts, on the espresso machine side of the app it is not designed effectively, should be able to adjust parameters in the app for drink sizes. It seems to have Alexa but who uses that? If this is a smart home app please support Siri or allow for shortcuts or at least the new matter standard!?

This app is horrible. I paid a lot of money on my washer and dryer. The machine says I am connected to my Wi-Fi but the app cannot find my washer machine. Go Figure! JWCYU

Buggy junk. Can’t tell my machine it has had its detergent bottle replaced because of an app error. Please don’t “continuously improve” this; my machine isn’t gaining any new features sat in my basement and I just need it to work reliably. Not good enough for a premium brand. Buy Bosch!

Useless for fridge. Don’t know how well this app works woth other Miele appliance but for fridge, there is very limited functionality The app has limited feedback on the only two fridge settings available. It worked intermittently and now it failed completely to pair with the fridge. Wasted my tune to retry, reinstall and retry. I hope this is not an indication of the quality of their appliances. Very disappointed with the app.

App used to work, now can’t even log-in. Tried to access the app recently but had to log-in again. Clicked on login/register and accepted terms of service, but app the shows a blank page with a scroll to bottom button. Clicking does nothing and it is impossible to navigate anywhere. Tried reinstalling app and restarting phone but same error.
Love the washer/dryer, nearly useless app. I got persuaded by the sales to get the latest version of washer/dryer with wifi so I can remotely check and change programs... but this app is nearly useless, when you cancel it doesn’t not refresh, now I only use to check when the load is finish. The program list is forever loading... come on, get someone fix it so we can actually use it.
Easy reminder the wash is ready.. I found the app easy to use and a good reminder to my son to get his laundry out of the machines, please.
Confusing interfaces. We have a full suite of Miele appliances. The interfaces are not as intuitive as they should be. Small details like the washer and dryer permanently (it appears) alerting us to the fact they can be managed remotely. Hardly something that we need to see forever or it should be possible to deactivate in settings. Yes we can simply start the machine but this is basic.
Mobile start dosen’t work. I love how I can track the progress of my laundry in the washing machine, but I cannot start a wash cycle from the app. I emailed and I have not heard anything. If I could get some help with this issue, I would give this app a higher rating. UPDATE: When I select the wash program that I want to run, I do not see any icons to turn the wash cycle on. UPDATE: This happens with all of the wash programs.
App doesnt work. Update: new app version was finally released, still have the same issue. “Fault there was an error processing your request” So this app is by far HOT Garbage! Can’t login via the app, I can login on the website. It’s been 4 months and I'm told they are working tirelessly to resolve it he issue. What a croc. Impossible to log in. The app does not work. It is impossible to connect my dishwasher to internet and use the connected features Edit: found the issue. The account MUST be created from the app, not the website. It forces you to create a new account with a new email address. This is stupid!
STILL NO CONSUMPTION DATA!. Consumption data for W1 washing machines was removed from this app and it was one of the reasons I bought the machine. Each one of my previous reviews has been responded to saying that it is coming back in a future release, but it has been nearly a year with no consumption data! Are you lying or can you tell me WHICH RELEASE will have the consumption data?
Doesn’t do much. The app is a start but for such an elevated brand I would expect an elevated digital experience with this app. Hopefully they keep developing it and bring more features and functions.
Can’t get PowerDisk Status. Remote is handy however, PowerDisk status does not function as others have stated. Otherwise, app is handy to view wash time remaining.
App doesn’t work at all. I’ve never been able to log in through the app with my account, although my account works fine online. I logged support cases and spoke to Miele support multiple times and they have no idea. It get a “fault” error every time. I update the when available and try from time to time with no joy. Sad representation from Miele - especially on such an expensive dishwasher!
Can’t set up app. I just got a new Miele washer and dryer and I can not even set up the app. After reading the terms and conditions and accepting I get a black screen with a yellow button that says scroll down. There is nothing to scroll and no amount of pressing does anything and can not move beyond the page. I have deleted and reinstalled several times as well as restarted my device. My device is up to date software wise too.
Dishwasher setup. I just got my new dishwasher download the app on my app or phone and all it tells me is fault fault fault fault I was able to go on my desktop computer and register and get a login and access it through my desktop however on the app just simply does not work I wanna install the app and reinstall the app several times seems to be a problem.
Garbage!. LISTEN MIELE! Constant network errors! My dishwasher is connected but the network settings in this app is GREY, meaning there’s no info, it’s blank and I can’t write anything. What happened? It worked fine until today? What are you guys doing on the back-end? Also. Here’s a pointer. Why as soon as a cycle is done I also loose all info? It would be nice that even though a cycle is done I could still access the information about the cycle I’ve just run. I.e. energy and water use. Maybe store the last 3 previous cycles. Just please fix this. Oh and yes, your customer service call center is a complete train wreck. What happened to you guy? Pre-Covid it was quite friendly and competent.
Miele App. Do you all even test this? Constantly spins. Have to re-enter login after updates and randomly. Not many apps do this. Please improve. We love our Miele appliances but the app doesn’t seem to be the same high quality. In addition I tried to create a new user id (which seems ridiculous), and it won’t even let me do that. Just spins and then returns me to the login screen. Have contacted Miele customer service.
It doesn’t work. The login didn’t work. Then I’ve tried to find a solution via customer services, provided bunch of information but the final answer was “we don’t have a solution” with no further explanation. It’s a shame that a good product is paired with such a terrible app and customer support system.
Absolutely non-functional. I’ve never been able to login to the app, despite having no issues logging into my web account. I simply get a “Fault” error message, which customer service has no clue about. There are no options in the app or online that provide further help.
Shameful.. Not sure why anyone would even want an app to control their washer and dryer. I don’t even want to use this non functioning app. But my brand new dryer insists that I run setup until I connect to the app. And of course the app won’t acknowledge that the dryer is connected even though on the dryer display it is clearly now on my network. Boooooo. Get it right or don’t bother.
Dishwasher is great! Cannot log in to application!. Unable to log in to the application. It responds with “Fault” There was an error processing your request. It has been logged. Sent information to customer service. They responded with “This is an issue who is affecting some of our customers. We are working diligently for a solution that will correct this problem. Still not working!!
Update - iphone app is working again. Previously the app got a blank screen when trying to accept the terms and conditions. The latest update fixed the issue so the app is working for me again.
Sadly not good. I have been trying to open the app for a month and it just won’t open and doesn’t work. In the beginning I set it up for my dryer and it was working for a little while but when I try to set it for the washer it would not even open the app and now it doesn’t work for either machine
Couldn’t even log in. I contacted customer support and their answer was to delete and then reinstall the app. Didn’t work. My credentials work on the website but I get a ‘fault’ when I try to log into the app. Other than reinstall, they directed me to some self help links…which were not helpful. This, and other issues, make me seriously regret purchasing my massive Miele package. So disappointing all around.
This doesn’t work, miele knows it, doesn’t care. Miele sold me a dishwasher that you can control via this app. The app doesn’t work. They sent a tech to my home. They couldn’t get it to work. I could tell they were going through the motions and asked if it was really just broken but the techs weren’t allowed to admit it. He said yes.
Fantastic!. I absolutely love the app on my new washer and dryer set. They were a little more money than I would have liked, but so far, they seem to be worth every penny.
Way more stable. It is clear they are investing in improving this app. It is far more stable then when I first started using it. Reliability is Miele’s whole thing, great to see their software starting to improve! The usability (UX) is still pretty wonky though.
Worst app from hopeless company. I keep giving miele a chance but they keep disappointing me. Errors, poor instructions, lack of consumer friendly products and software. Obviously their design engineers never try their products on real human beings. Really a company without a clue and i have dealt with them in many ways with many products.
App Broken. Sitting in front of our new dishwasher (which we waited 13 months to receive) and can’t login or setup account on the app to connect dishwasher to WiFi. All the others reviews are right…app was left to fossilize. For as expensive as Miele appliances are and for as long as it takes to get them customers should be compensated. So here I am, going through the manual and settings and the app doesn’t work.
Unable to log in. I just purchased a new Miele dishwasher. I registered it on their website and created an account. I just installed the app on my iPhone X with the latest updates but when I try to login using my valid credentials, I get a pop up with a bizarre error message. I have sent a message to their technical support but it’s not clear how to get past this. Either the app is fundamentally broken, or their servers are down.
App keeps crashing on launch. Have been using the app for a while and although for a while. Mostly for checking time remaining on the wash cycle and for the notifications. But since about two weeks ago I haven’t been able to use it because it keeps crashing on launch.
Still almost all functionality gone. It has been a long time now since they destroyed the functionality of the app. I still can’t see fill levels or what part of the cycle my dishwasher is on. And that is despite it being only three years old and only one level below their top of the line dishwasher. I won’t buy a Miele again.
Not quite intuitive. I’m just getting used to the app. I use apps for everything. This one takes some work and is not immediately intuitive. I like the wash assistant for programming.
Not great. I’d expect better app performance from Miele. There are certain functions on the W1 washer that don’t work on the App. (Pre-wash when added to a Sanitize cycle results in a water inlet error. I’ve seen reports from others regarding the same issue so it’s not only me.). Miele has outstanding products you need to get your App to the same level.
Terrible. The app experience is horrible. I’ve tried multiple times to set up appliances and the connection never is successful. I’ve called support and they literally paged through the user manual on the phone with me. I’ve read other reviews in addition to responses from the developers that they’re updating the app as quickly as possible. Well, the speed at which you’re updating the app is unacceptable for an allegedly premium appliance company.
Not good for overseas use. If you have a Miele account in the USA but live in Europe the app keeps USA settings. Need to allow both options or multiple address s. Otherwise works very well.
Works, but limited features. I have a G7596. About the only information you can see in the app is when your dishes will be clean. It would be nice to see the rinse aid level, the number of AutoDos cycles remaining, or to adjust the dishwasher settings in the app. For such a feature rich appliance, the app is lacking.
Unbelievably Stupid App Design. When used with a dishwasher, near worthless. Can’t set clock with app. Can’t start appliance remotely. Appliance must be on to use. Notifications are horrible: one day it told me my dishes are clean and there’s a message on the display. However I had to actually look at the dishwasher to figure out the message was that I needed rinse aid. Why couldn’t the notification have included the rinse aid message?
No consumption or status info for my dishwasher.. The old app always reported total water and energy consumption used every cycle, but that info is nowhere to be found in this new version. It also displayed salt and rinse aid levels; they’re also gone. My model is a Futura Lumen: G 6875 SCVi AM.
Needs to be reliable and more features.. Set up process didn’t complete successfully and application does not provide features like remote start or stop. AIt mentions it does but I think the commands are sent non WiFi connection. Great product but the application hasn’t caught up like other software for smart light bulbs or appliances.
No longer pulls my washer/dryer into the app. Takes 1 minute to load the main screen then I get a grey bar for each appliance that I own. This worked very well for a long time and now I can’t get access remotely to the appliances. You guys need to make this app better not infinity worse and completely unusable.
Can’t register my new $4,000 washer/dryer. I just spent a chunk of money for a so called high end washer and dryer and I can’t even log into your app to register my products. What is going on!? Without being able to log in to the app, I can’t even use any of the smart Wi-Fi functions on either of my machines. Completely unacceptable.
App not allowing me to log in. I have reset my password many many times and the app continues to give me an error. I own the entire package from Miele. Washer, Dryer, Refrigerator, Stovetop, Oven, Speed Oven, Dishwasher, and Cappuccino Machine the price has been astronomical. So why why can’t the app work on my IPhone, ipad and now I get an error logging in on the website. I wish I could return all the appliances and buy any other appliance and throw these out. PLEASE FIX THE ISSUE!!!!
Needs serious work. The old app was OK some things were difficult or cumbersome but the new version of the app is terrible. The QA department didn’t do their job. 1) many times it will not let you select a mode the controls doesn’t become active. 2) when you can select it, it will come back with “we’re experiencing technical difficulties.” 3) the level of the twindos is no longer available.
Bad app. Horrible app and customer service I can’t connect my appliances to the app and I send almost 20 emails with only one response which is a page long technical instructions impossible to follow. I can’t believe well known German company like Miele has such app their appliance are double and sometimes triple the price of their competitors and they have the worst app and worst customer service.
Difficult to set up. I spent over an hour and a half trying to set it up and finally succeeded. The interface to start a program is also counterintuitive and requires more steps than necessary. However, once you learn the idiosyncrasies, it works really nicely.
I would give a zero if possible. Have been trying for 6 months to get this app to work. Called Miele 4 times, still not working. Too many excuses and customer service sends tickets to IT department, but has no way to transfer my call to get this resolved. We spent far too much money on this washer and dryer to not be able to set a time to wash clothes. I can’t even get logged on the app!
Good app. Messaging needs improvement. To change level of detergents in App. MobileRemote should be ON. It’s not in the message. It took me a while to figure it out Should be in the message :)
Suggestion. App is getting there. How about being able to save a favorite cycle for the washing machine on the app? Tap two buttons ‘Favorite’ and ‘Start’. Right now it takes around a minute to select all the options. This would be convenient and a time saver! Please implement!
Love to give feedback but can’t pair. The concept of the app is pretty cool but the thing can’t pair with my brand new top of the line dishwasher. This is worse than useless as not only does it not work - I’ve wasted an hour on it. Confirming all the other feedback - this thing should be subject to California’s “lemon law” and warrant customers a full refund.
Cannot sign up or sign in. Just awful experience. I bought an expensive dishwasher and tried to use this app. However, sign up doesn’t work (500 server error). I created an account on laptop but credentials don’t work in mobile app with “there was an error processing your request”.
Love the Smart Features. I recently discovered the Washing Assistant on the app and I LOVE IT. Such a great feature. My washing machine has so many great programs and know I know when it’s appropriate to use them all.
