Plays Like a Dream. An excellent quirky little time waster. The levels have a very basic visual language so you always know where you are and you learn the idea behind each space after a few runs. The controls are tight like Mario games of old. I've never played Flappy Bird so I can't comment to its status as a clone. What I can say is the sleepy little 2.5D sprite in mock 8-bit, floating through game/dreamscapes, scooping up doves to a lovely soothing soundtrack all makes a perfect kind of sense in the way jumping on goombas and hopping around in old green boots did. I wouldn't say this game is entirely beholden to its antecedents. It has enough personality to distinguish itself, but it gets right the very same things those old games got right which contributes a great deal to the game's replay-ability. I'll be playing this one for some time.

Color. The game is awesome but it would be appreciated if you add color to the game, or many put an option in the settings menu that allows color or just black and white.

I love this game!. I saw that on Nitrome's website that 8bit doves was coming out for $0.99. But now it's called endless doves and it's free! This game was so fun and I was hooked once I started. I think you should totally get this game!

Love the retro style. I really into this game as well as 8 Bit Doves, I love the retro feel and the challenge it brings. My only negative thing to say is that I wish the achievements for getting 100 doves and getting 50 doves without missing a single dove were lower. Considering the game is randomly generated, these two achievements are too difficult and not likely that I'll earn them. Besides that, a 5 star game.

Left button glitchy. Great game! If you guys can fix the glitch where the left button doesn't push down sometimes (maybe every 10th flap), this game would be perfect. I seriously love it, so please fix this soon; I'll update to 5 stars. :)

Good game... But controls are too challenging to be fun.. Don't take this the wrong way, this is a great game and I think this is just me. But the controls are basically impossible for me. Game is wonderfully made though.

Almost perfect. This game is a great throwback to classic game boy games. The music, controls, and graphics are amazing. Still, it has one fatal flaw: LOADING For a game made for quick burst gameplay, loading in between deaths is ridiculously long. If this problem is fixed, it's an easy 5 star game.

Love it.. The music is so enchanting tbh. I love the concept and backgrounds and the 8-bit and basically, everything about it is perfect. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the loading takes a little too long. In my opinion, it should be immediate. Regardless, I am in LOVE with this game and would def recommend it 👌❤️

Crashes. I would love to try this game if it would load. I open it and once it gets past the nitrome screen it crashes. I'm on and iPad 2. Hope I am not the only one with this problem so that it may be fixed.

Not like flappy birds. This game isn't like flappy birds which is way too linear. The motion of play is very smooth and required skill that is learned through repetition but is still very enjoyable. It can be very difficult to level up. Paying a buck to eliminate ads is good. Should have more content though.

Nitrome!!!. I was excited to see that Nitrome was putting out a game for the IPhone! I usually don't get games or write reviews but it was free, it's nitrome, what the heck I'll try it. So far I like it. Just a few suggestions/bugs: 1- when the ads come up after I die, the screen sometimes goes black and I have to exit the app to fix it. 2- The Loading is really long after each death. Also after you get far enough into the level it has half a second of lag, which makes my guy crash. I think both of these things have something to do with generating the level? Both annoying but not a big deal. 2- More!! I would so love to see preexisting Nitrome games adapted for phones. My favorite has always been Snowdrift and if you could translate that with the same ease of movement to here that would be beast. Thanks! -A

Not a flappy bird imitation, but better!. As you've probably seen, a great portion of the reviews are about how this game is very similar to flappy bird. But, the only sameness between the two are that the character that you play as flys, and that you can earn points. But the points are earned in almost completely different ways. This game is extremely difficult at first, but the longer I play this game, the more entertaining it gets! (For me at least!) Anyway, it's a great game, I love the design and music/soundFX, and if you don't like it than just play it longer! 😄😊

It’s okay. I think it’s a really good game and it’s giving me a old type vibe. But it’s kinda hard and I got bored of it quickly.

Good, but could use a couple things. For one, we need a storyline! Why is this weird dude flying around a castle collecting doves at midnight? I'm thinking Something along the lines of him being a magician and his doves are set free in the middle of the night so he has to go find them. Maybe an evil wizard is his enemy and while the magician is sleeping he goes to the dove cage and opens it, consequently releasing the doves. This should appear every time you open the game, before you get to the menu. A daily bonus or allowance would be nice too- like every day you get 100 dove points or whatever they're called. Also you should add a machine in the game where you dispense 100 dove points and pull a lever, then out comes a random creature or amount of dove points. You should also be able to change your character-the one flying around the castle. Maybe different clothes you could buy may be cool. Other than that this is a totally fun and awesome.

100% Broken. App will not run, even after deleting and reinstalling, lost thousands or birds and game still does not work. Fix it for a 5 star review.

Just another nitrome flop. Time and time again, nitrome releases a game that looks cool and has a nice concept, yet is totally trashed by its own god-awful controls, terrible hitboxes and nonexistent tutorial on how to even play this unplayable mess. Hold left button to twist right, hold right button to twist left, complete and utter nonsense. Please make one good game. Once. Ever. Please.

Way Too Difficult to Enjoy. What is it with free iPhone games that just have to be impossibly hard and not fun at all? Why is this success in the mobile gaming arena? I'm really tired of it. The gameplay of Endless Birds is entirely too difficult to enjoy. It restarts with every failure, so there's no progression. At least, not as far as I can tell, because I'm not going to spend enough time to try and find out.

Dumb reviews everywhere. I see a lot of people say hate comments like (this game is RIP for Retry or flappy bird) they are very stupid be cause they didn't notice this game Based On 8Bit Doves which was made by the same company same game with levels, and Retry ripped 8Bit Doves which when Endless Doves came people through it's rip for retry or flappy bird, retry is junk game ripped 8 bit doves and this game Based as Lite Version from 8Bit Doves , but this game ripped TimberMan by the way you collect stuff to unlock characters

Crash :(. I haven't had a chance to play the game because every time I try to get on it crashes and takes me to the home screen. It looks like a really fun game but I wish it would stop kicking me out. :(

Needs more content/in-app purchases. I've been playing this game for a couple days and I only have 3500 doves. This game needs to add the purchase of doves so it doesn't take ten years to get the last thing (which I'm still dying to know what it is) but overall it's a pretty good game.

Nomnomkun. This game was looked liked it based on flappy bird... Oh man I was so wrong, it have relaxing sound track, the "world" beautiful and have all direction, and heck you collecting birds! It's fun, even after the 100 game and you fill great each time you get more... Another great game by ninten *ahm* I meant Nitrome!

Good but. Being a very different game for Nitrome, they did a great job. My only complaint is that the prices for the birds are crazy! 100,000 is beyond possibility. I though 1,000 was a lot until I saw the last one. Please change this or add ways of obtaining big points.

Great. Nitrome has been making great flash games as long as I can remember, and I'm glad to see that they are still doing what they do best, while keeping their charming style. Keep making memories.

Great imitation of Flappy Bird!. This game is basically Flappy Bird on steroids. You touch the screen to control the player either left or right while he continuously glides through the air, all while collecting the aviation type creatures throughout the level. The minute you crash it's over. Replay value is high and addictive! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's lack of music (wish they had included a Christmas type one with the update) and levels. Yeah, they change it up every now and then, but a new background would make gameplay much more fresh. Overall, great game and try it out!

You've done it!. Such amazing content! This is what video games are all about! You've touched my heart in places that haven't been touched in what seems like eternity.

Heartwarming.. I feel that in the future when my grandson has the iphone16, hes going to show me all of his cool apps. I'll then chuckle and take his hand, lead him to my attic, and take out an old, dusty box. I will then open the box and hand him my iphone5. He will turn it on and ask "Grandpa, does this thing have any games or what?" I will chuckle again and gingerly take the old phone. I will then open "Endless Doves" and my grandson will love it. It is a masterpiece. If Van Gogh's talent was designing apps, Endless Doves would be his masterpiece. 11/10.

Doesn't work. I played this on my friends phone, but when I opened it after downloading it on my phone (which is on the latest software) it crashed during loading. I deleted it and reinstalled it multiple times, but it keeps crashing. PLEASE FIX

I love the feel of this game. This game just gives me such good vibes. Like im flying through a nice dream or somethin. Brings back great feelings of my childhood for some reason. I love the fact that this game exists lol.

Amazing but have a game breaking bug. This game is absolutely amazing and I have been playing it non stop for the past couple days. This being said though earlier today I have been having an issue with the app where once it is loaded to the title screen, the game freezes with squares of the title screen missing. I don't know how to fix it but maybe an update would help :) keep up the great work and I hope this game gets more visibility.

Good but..... The game is good. Very hard to beat. But the app gives me headaches 😨 and I wish it were in color to make the game a little more fun. This game is kind of one of those games where you play it for 1 or 2 days then get sick of it. All you are doing is getting doves it gets really boring.😴😐

Thanks again!. Another great Nitrome game; however, it runs terribly when I'm connected to wifi. At first I thought it was my device (iPod 4th gen), but I was playing it without wifi and it was super smooth. Wonderful! But please try to discover the source of this bug.

Addicting but not annoying. Games like Flappy Bird were extremely addicting yet extremely annoying, but this game(even though it is difficult as crap), is addicting and amazing. I fail a lot but I don't get frustrated like I did with games like Flappy Bird or Daddy Long Legs. This game may be free but if it was 99 cents, I would still get it. 6 stars

Awesome game just one suggestion. This game is awesome overall, it reminds me of an easier version of flappy bird but I have one suggestion. You should add achievements into the game as another way to score points. I personally love it when games have achievements and livens up the gameplay so you have something to try to do. But it is an awesome game and recommend it to everyone

The music. I played this game some years ago but deleted it bc I didn’t have enough space on my phone, now that I have a new one I wanted to play again this beautiful game with its beautiful music, but I don’t hear anything! Visual. This game looked so good when I got it though I think this game is way to hard for me XD but, the difficulty won't effect my score, I would like it if it took less time to try again :3 everything is great except those ads that cover up the screen, no matter what, I just can't seem to delete them.

Fun but frustrating. The game has a neat art style and calming soundtrack. However the soundtrack has an extremely quick loop and gets repetitive quickly. The game itself is fun but there is an ad literally every time you die which can be frustrating for a game like this. Overall good experience but the ads seem to really ruin it for me

Wonderful game. I love this game. It is a great one. One thing that I would suggest is to make it so you can upgrade and buy new guys that fly around as well as birds. Other than that it is one of my favorites.

Really good game. Takes a little bit to get the hang of but is a really cool game. After you get good it is really fun. The thing that I like the most about this game is the music, it’s really calming and peaceful. It’s kinda sad but at the same time it makes you think that the game may have a deeper meaning even when it probably doesn’t. Definitely download it and see what you think!

I love it but I’m still bad at it. I love this game, even though I grew up in an age with 3D games I only had my gameboy and a Super Nintendo for a long time. This game really has all the stuff I love the. Pixelated style looks so good I like pixels stuff, and the music is great u love it, now the game play itself I can’t say it’s super fun or anything it because I’m still bad at it. That’s the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars lol.

Flappy bird is quaking. This game is SO peaceful, the design and music is beautiful but the big thing for me is that this game doesn’t bombard you with ads every time you die (for me that’s a lot). This game is a little difficult in the beginning but after awhile I got it and I l o v e that you can unlock different birds. Way better than flappy bird.

Amazing game. I have experienced hours of fun mastering the movements and map patterns. It never gets old because I feel I can always improve. My friends and I have fun beating each others score and getting better every day. We started getting like a score of 5 now we are at about 35. Please add some more customization options for the birds or the guy! Amazingly simplistic!! Don't take away from the easy learning! I don't know what people have against it. The adds only come every now and again. The add that goes on half the screen can be removed with an x usually or even just by pushing the button to exit and come back.

Well there goes lunch breaks.. Thanks Nitrome for another great game in which I can put hours into and only end up with a score of 6... Putting me near the top of the leaderboards!

Boring + far too many ads = 1/5 stars, instant uninstall. A full screen ad every time I die? Really???

Cannot Open App. Ever since I updated the game, the app will not open. When I try to, it closes right after.

Ads. Another fun Nitrome game tarnished by constant pop up ads. It's not worth your time to try and get immersed with the super cute atmosphere this game has going for it, as your state of fun will be cut off by ads once every minute or so.

flappy bird copy. I only downloaded this because it was by nitrome but I was sad to see it was just another copy of flappy bird. the game would be way more fun and less frustrating if there were like a set amount of lives so if you die, you don't have to start from the beginning. please update it and let us have at least 3 lives, just doing that would make the game a million times more enjoyable. I never write reviews so yeah. that's all I have to say about it lol

Cute little game, but too many ads. Really like this game, simple music and control. The only thing is the video ads. I don't mind paying for the ads to be removed, but it happened to me many times that the bird died because the game freeze for a second to load the videos. Seriously, cute game, but the ads are way too distracting.

Very buggy in iOS 6. Just thought I'd mention that first. It ran quite choppily on my 4th gen even after closing the app and starting it up again. Had to play through it several times before it broke through, but it still has its lag. Anyways, it runs fine on my 5th gen, so I got to have a lot of fun with that. I found myself setting goals on how many doves I was to collect in one playthrough. It works great because you keep earning more doves with each incentive, and get rewarded more. There seen to be enough level design to keep things interesting because a lot of areas have different paths. It's a new adventure every time you take to the skies!

This game needs WAAAAY more recognition.. For this review, I'm gonna break these into four different categories. Graphics/Music: These are just astonishing. I love how the graphics are similar to the GBC era, and how the 8-bit music pairs up with this. 5/5 Originality: You can plainly see that the creator took some inspiration from Flappy Bird and RETRY, but certain aspects are different. 3/5 Gameplay: Yet again, the controls are similar to RETRY but some aspects are different. The randomized level generator makes this game much more enjoyable and different each time, causing much replayability (and rage). 5/5 Overall Rating: 4.9, this game was just astonishing levels of awesome, although not very original. Download it!

Not Sure.... Ok, good game and I was pretty pumped to play a 16-bit game where you fly through this-place and collect doves, chickens and that's about all I know of. The game is kinda really friggin laggy so I always dying 0 birds. I'M GOOOOOOOOOD

Charming. It's sort of a nostalgic feel in its graphics and music. Simple and addicting. Although difficult; obstacles are a lot tougher to dodge then the mechanics allows. I can see a failed drop or rise few seconds before he makes contact. Being able to do a sharper loop the longer you hold the screen would be beneficial.

Amazing app, but not for tablet. I love this game and it’s so relaxing. However I don’t think it’s for tablets. On a tablet every thing was just so zoomed in and not only the GUI looks terrible zoomed in, it’s also very hard to play because you basically have no idea what will come next. Other then that, it runs great on a phone and it’s still a great game.

Horrid game with fullscreen video ads. Nitrome games are known for being challenging, but this is just plain unfair... The biggest problem however is the fullscreen video ads it pushes in your face. Haven't seen THAT tactic yet. Well that was my sign to delete this piece of crap for good. Don't get it.

Horrible. I love retro look and 8 bit music but this is Flappy Bird nightmare all over again. If you loved Flappy bird you will love this. Otherwise stay away. :)
