EasyTek Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Needs Work. I’ve had the app for a year now! The interface is good when connected, but the easy tek does not always connect! When the button is pushed to interrupt streaming, it will not reconnect to stream as it will with the tv feature! Great hearing aids, but mediocre blue tooth accessories!

Negative feedbacks help you grow. 1. The icons showing the battery status are inaccurate and freeze all the time. Even after charged all night the icon still shows empty. 2. Syncing is not constant. I use the hearing aide for listening to programs on my iPad and the sound would disappear from time to time. I had to reset it in order to get it back and some times even reset doesn't work. 3. You need to make improvement immediately otherwise your customers will leave you for your competitors. 4. I wrote a review and after submitted it says 'nickname is taken' and the whole writing disappears! I scrolled to the bottom and did not see that name was taken. What is going on? Very disappointing!

Glitches. In trial phase , on an iPhone 10x plus it takes some getting used to, but seems to go out of whack intermittently, going to give it the full trial phase to work out the “oe” (operator error) aspect of it. Maybe there re some bug fixes to eliminate the not connecting or the “device not compatible w phone” alert that pops up.. otherwise when it works it’s what want . When it glitches it’s annoying. Update.... on second device that was sent to me and it’s still not connecting properly ..... SEND HELP!! I just want this thing to work

Ocon user. Very poor and inconsistent connectivity between the easyTek, hearing aids and iPhone app. The functionality claims made by Siemens Signia hearing aids are overstated, and not delivered as promised. People cannot hear me speaking on the phone so I have to stop the conversation while I switch to the phone or speaker which defeats the purpose having this feature and the costly accessory.

Unreliable app, sometimes works, often does not. This app has not been updated in over two years. I have an iPhone X, and the app constantly cycles between programs, beeping in my hearing aids 8-12 seconds apart. I have had Signia Primax hearing aids and EasyTek for 30 months. EasyTek continually loses the Bluetooth connection with the phone. More perplexing, even when Settings>Bluetooth indicates that the phone is paired, yet the EasyTek App is not paired and will not pair with the hearing aids themselves. This condition cannot be reliably changed, that is, communication between the App and the aids cannot be reliably established. When this happens, one reboots the aids, the EasyTek and the iPhone, and still, communication between the App and the aids cannot be reliably established. Finally, the pairing of the iPhone to the aids for the purpose of hearing a phone call through the aids and speaking through the EasyTek is very good, but again it is unreliable. Callers complain that they cannot hear what I say, so I have to switch the audio from EasyTek to Speaker. At times there are wedges of the conversation missing.

Left right volume. I am unable to separately control the left and right volume.

Frustrating. I have had the Easy Tec device and this app for over two years paired with the Siemens Pure bc HP hearing aids. . It switches from universal to music at will. Also constantly dropping blue tooth connection. I've had telephone callers tell me I was dropping out when my Easy Tec was under my shirt. I have had the Easy Tec device replaced three times and same problems. As we speak I'm not able to get this app to recognise my aids.

No Star. This is bad. The font is bad being hard to see depending on light conditions. The interface is bad and waste display space. Probably could have put all modes on one page with buttons highlighting the one being used. Being NASA engineer, I could have done better app. Today, the hearing aid are not much better. My old ones, 4 years old, are better. I have endless stories about it.

Getting There. I mostly enjoy the connectivity. Ambient noise is often louder than the podcast when I’m traveling by bike. Not the same as having workable ears but definitely better than missing most of the conversation.

Not ready for prime time! Deserves no stars. Switches between modes randomly. Drops Bluetooth connection frequently. Fails to switch back to former mode after calls. Makes random noises in hearing aid. Totally worthless. Reading back over other reviews, it’s clear that Siemens has known about these problems for a long time and has done nothing about it. Worse yet, they continue to sell the easyTek device without disclosing the major problems with its software. When I replace my hearing aids I will unquestionably switch to another company. Siemens obviously doesn’t care about consumers, only wringing exorbitant amounts of money for its hearing aids and worthless accessories.

Refuses to connect to hearing aids.. This is my second easytek, the first one worked and connected pretty well. This second one has paired with my iPhone X, but the program refuses to acknowledge my hearing aids at all. The touch control program works, but easytek - the one I want for streaming is essentially worthless. Extremely frustrated!

Satisfied. I am using my easyTek since 2017 and I am satisfied with it but not fully due to some problem encountered. During call receiving, sometimes it disconnect itself from the hearing aid. Sometimes it is connected but you can’t hear the call from the caller. I hope there will be a way to solve this problem. Thank you

EasyTek. Bluetooth and wifi work better than expected. The silk 7x Signia put the ReSounds I tried out to shame. Wish there was some balance control.

Signia easyTek it could be better. The system in scope is similar to other hearing aid apps but this one in stand alone function you lose the ability to use the Bluetooth to communicate directly through the phone. You have to try to use the phone as a standard not as a Bluetooth enhanced app. The phone rings through the hearing aids on Bluetooth but as soon as you answer it turns to a conventional function you either put it on speaker phone or try to use as a conventional phone. The technology should allow for the Bluetooth bydirectional function as it does in the easyTek function.

Frustrating II. Ditto the comments from Frustrating. Many drop offs when using an audio amp. Back and forth between music streaming and universal for no reason.

Good NOT Great. App is pretty well done. I've built customer apps. If the app just didn't drop Bluetooth connection with my iPhone and allowed the Spatial Configurator to stay longer than 20-30 minutes without being reset, I'd give it a 4 or 5. As it is, it's a 3...

It works. It works the way it was described to me. Also makes it easy for me to 'see' how much battery I have left. Allows me to 'see' my volume and where my program is set. Any of the issues I've had usually come from the device my EZ tech is connected too. Very simple to use. Love being able to take calls, listen to music etc right into my hearing devices.

Should be better. This is very very good. But it should be better. Siemens is capable of making it better. The app freezes in the "In call" mode and won't change back to Universal mode even a while after you hang up the call. Please fix.

Behavior varies. For some periods the app does everything it’s supposed to do without difficulty. Other times it causes the right hearing aid to repeatedly restart. I know it’s the app by process of elimination. When it is good, it would rate 5 stars. When it is bad, it rates no stars.

Frustrating. Overrated. Very satisfied with the app when it works as promoted, but all too often that is not the case. Frequently connection drops for no reason, frequently when connected there is no response to touch control via iPhone, frequently it cuts out during phone calls, and occasionally it requires several attempts and cycles through the connection sequence before it "takes". Battery life on device is insufficient to make it through the day. Easy should be stricken from the name.

Frustrating. I'm in the trial phase of Siemens Signia aids. The easyTec interface with iPhone 6 is a constant annoyance. It switches from universal to music program whenever I turn on my phone. With my mail and messaging apps set to notify with sounds, I got beeps every time I got an email or a message. The only way to avoid that was to turn off the sound alerts in my apps. I want the sound alerts from my phone, but not constantly in my ears. When I finish listening to an audio stream, it doesn't automatically go back to the listening program; I have to turn off the easyTec and turn it back on to reconnect and get back into my listening program. When reconnecting, I get "device volume not loud enough" and have to turn up my phone volume louder than I want it. I've had years of experience with Oticon streamers and never had these issues with my iPhone. To avoid the frustration, I've ended up only using the easyTec for TV listening and audio streaming. Otherwise I turn it off. The app is useful in "Use as Touch Only" mode for changing programs and volume control. I haven't found the Bass/Treble adjustment makes much difference.

Useless App. I’ve had my hearing aids and the EasyTek for over a year and it all that time it has NEVER worked to my satisfaction. I’ve been back to my audiologist 3 times and each time she tells me it’s working as designed but it NEVER does. If I had to do it over again, I would not have wasted my money on the EasyTek.

Better than the EasyTek. The app works well with or without the EasyTek it works with. But the EasyTek itself has a lousy battery which means that I have to charge it every night or it won’t make it through the day. If Fitbit can install a 3 or 4 day battery in a smaller unit, why can’t Siemens place an updated battery in its very useful device.

Most frustrating part of hearing loss. This works maybe 20% of the time without ten minutes of fiddling and frustration. Very disappointing. Will not get this brand of hearing aid in the future. Terrible use of technology.

The device not the app is the problem, the app is great. The new (round) easytek does not function like the old one which has 5 buttons on the front and power button on top. The new one drops the Bluetooth connection at random even when I have the phone on my belt and the easytek around my neck. The new one automatically disconnects when I'm in my car but does not re-connect when I'm away from the car, the old one would re-connect when turned on or in range and not connected to my car. I've only had these hearing aids 3 days and already having too many problems. I'm thinking about returning them and getting a refund. I bought these because one of my old ones died but I'd rather live with one that works than two that don't.

Useless device. It won’t connect to hearing aid half most of the time and if it does it automatically disconnects itself it automatically switches from universal to music all the time total waste of money I would not recommend this divide to anyone

Review. The app works only after several attempts at connecting to the desired device. During other times it searches out and runs down its pitiful battery’s very short life connecting to any Bluetooth source: passing cars, wireless music sources and my tablet—all on its own. Also, the very valuable ability to configure the sound in loud and very active spaces (spacial configuration) disappeared after the last upgrade. It also requires special attention after said updates since it forgets a lot. I hope the next series of hearing aids is simply Bluetooth compatible without the drama and incompetence in soft and hardware design. 🤮

It's not what I had hoped for.. Listening too TV works good. If background sounds will automatically increase the volume. Enjoyed that feature. No other setting will do that and I was told there were auto features, not. I'm a Veteran and had hoped for better.

EasyTek. The software is very unstable and causes one to be constantly work the connection. Once into the reset up mode one usually has to shut the phone down and restart because the setup hangs up. It seems to me that a company that is approved to serve the veterans needs to have a far better product. I will be in contact with the VA.

Real pain. Spends more time disconnected than connected. Says it can’t find hearing aids when less than 12” away. Have replaced Easytek and smart connect several times with no improvement. Maybe if Siemens would actually test the units being sent back instead of just sending a new unit with the same problems they might be able to figure out what the problems are and fix them. :(

Buyer Beware. The app is not totally as advertised. While it does provide an interface for the EasyTek streamer the spacial configuration is very lacking in that it does not provide quadrant listening like the non-EasyTek app. Also the spacial configuration switches back to normal on its own. I have exchanged emails with the app support people and changes have only made things worse. Hard to believe that the app used without an EasyTek device works better than the one for the $400 additional device.

The honeymoon is over!. I was very excited when I first got my aids and the Easytek! That lasted about a week. Now that I am in my third week I am more often frustrated than happy! It's like this is someone's first app they wrote and they do not even use it to understand what it is missing! It's not like I have ANY choice so I will continue using it, but wow really it can't do.......that? How frustrating!

Worst app ever!. I have had my easy trek for over a year and this app is nothing but problems. Pairing with an iPhone 6 is a challenge. Each day I have to delete the app and basically start from scratch. Siemens needs to hire a legit app programmer to fix this or get out of the business. At this point I’m advising friends to a sound Siemens hearing aids at all costs. There is got to be a better solution than this dysfunctional mess. If I had $6k of pocket change to replace my hearing aids I’d leave Siemens NOW.

Terrible. Was this designed in 1977? Horrible technology and worthless adjustments. Notice no change in sound no matter where I set volume. Can’t just keep music function off. Why isn’t there a setting for that? Designed by middle schoolers?

Love & Hate. When and if it works it’s good. It always crashes / doesn’t connect to the easyTek. Then you have to turn your phone off and turn off the easyTek and hope that will work. My opinion is they need to fix the piece of crap easyTek and this app. For what we pay for these items it is a joke they do not work correctly. I have the CIC primax 7 hearing aids and had the primax 5’s and they both had the same problems with the easyTek and the app.

Adequate. The app performs as stated in manual. Uses beeps and tones to set volume, get connected, etc.. After 18 months, I frustrated with this device and companion app! Only gave it 3stars because it's antiquated... Should have voice to announce volume, caller, & connected. How about call initiation like most Bluetooth ear pieces.. Range needs to be improved, fails at 16 ft not ~30! If you go out of range the Bluetooth , and then come back to the phone, it DOES NOT automatically reconnect! You have to reconnect it manually

It needs a lot of improvement. I have an apple 6s phone and I continually unhooks from phone and you have to restart phone and start from scratch. Also it never connects to phone calls on its own. You have to manually select easyTek to talk on phone. Fix this crap.

Frustrating at Best!. I have been using my Easytek for over 4 years and have been through 3 units so far. They work well for a few months and start failing routinely, nearly on schedule and almost the exact same way. First, the start to drop out while in use. Secondly, they constantly switch back and forth, sending on-off tones to my hearing aids which is extremely annoying. Then, as soon as I answer a call with the Easytek button and say hello, the call drops out of the bluetooth to regular phone. I can’t have that happen while driving in IL. Lastly, before it fails completely, the Easytek app or pendant, has to be constantly re-installed and paired to my phone and hearing aids in order to re-connect them together. Being as I go through the VA to get my care, I can only upgrade every 5 years and until my upgrade comes due, I am stuck with this. I’m not even sure if they will send things iff for repair, which leaves me without until items return. Typical! The VA obviously gets contracts to the lowest bidder. I do not recommend this product coupled by the Easytek pendant.

Inconsistent. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. The only reason for two stars is that it works pretty good with the tv option. Other than that it doesn’t respond to changes that I make with any beep so I don’t know if I’m getting the adjustments I’m making or not. Then there are times that it will only give me a choice of demo mode or try to connect which doesn’t respond. For something that is supposed to accompany $6000 hearing aids it’s a disgrace!

Constantly restarting. My right ear bud is always restarting like it just came on . The little tune that tells you it is coming online plays over and over and after I tried to get it looked at by the app they referred me to hearing specialist ... it’s not the hearing aids it is the connection between the hearing aid and the app ... if I turn the “easy Tek” app off, it stops ..once I turn the WIFI to connect thru the easy tek app it starts the issue all over again ... I was surprised that no one wanted to look into this . I waited to review this app just to give them an opportunity to assist but to no avail . Hope this helps people decide on whether they want to use it .

Learning experience!. Have used for about 3 weeks now & I really like how phone to hearing aids sounds . Takes some getting used too but seems worth it.

It’s a great idea, BUT. I’ve been using this a little over a year. It’s A great idea. Too bad they didn’t finish it. Spatial configurator is the only thing that really works and works well especially in restaurants in groups of people, except when it changes mode or reconfigures when you least expect it. Has a mind of its own. So I’m never sure when it’ll work right. Especially frustrating when driving and trying to listen to music or a book. Much too often I have to change it out of the streaming music player mode to Universal three or four times to get the volume control to work right. For listening to music It’s great once I get it to work if I do. I often have to restart my phone. Most people can’t hear me on the phone so I have to go to speakerphone. A great idea, I wish they’d fix it. But I don’t think they will, It’s been going on too long!! I keep it off most of the time unless I’m trying to listen to music or a book otherwise it’s too noisy and unpredictable.!!

Not perfect for me. I’ve been using this app for approximately three years now and have found several things that bother me while I am using the app. For starters it is annoying when I am listening to music or other media and there is a sudden noise nearby. Instead of attenuating the noise it amplifies it to an uncomfortable level. Kind of like a gun going off in my ears. Not cool. Secondly, I get a notification tone with every incoming message or email unless I turn it, the notification, off for each text, email etc. Makes it hard to concentrate on tasks at hand. Thirdly, if I am using an app such as a language learning app, the spoken sentences are clipped in the beginning due to the notification tones. Self defeating to say the least. There are positives to the app such as the clarity when talking on the phone. I have a stethoscope that plugs in while at work that gives good amplification of the heart and breath sounds. Im sure there are other items to be noted or improved on but that is all I have for now.

Great to manage hearing devices. It took me a while to figure out how to sync everything just right. But once I do this is a great app to see if batteries are changed and to control volume

Frustrated to the Max!. Have had this for two months now and it is not what it is advertised to be. Battery life is so short that you need more than one to make it through the day. Shows that it is paired to phone but has no sound. Drops pairing in the middle of calls for several seconds (no sound) and then static and picks them up again. Way too much money and aggravation for something that does not work.

Lynnie. Garbage. I find myself going back to my old aids I purchased at Sam’s. Having the Bluetooth technology is great but not when it sacrifices hearing quality of the hearing aids!!! It is nice to have them chargeable so I don’t have to put batteries in every morning nor have a battery die in the middle of something I’m doing but overall I’m Not real happy with this!!!

Aggrevating. Disconnects constantly from the phone when trying connect with transmitter then takes forever to set back up. Surprised a company with Seimen’s reputation would continue to produce this software when it is so clunky, unreliable and poor performing. Yet they have no revisions to offer or under development. Planned absolecence?

EasyTek with silk 7. I’d rate this app a 0 star if possible. The app keeps disconnecting from my EasyTek so every time I have to repair it with my phone. I have an iPhone X and I know the issue isn’t with apple. I can use any other device paired via Bluetooth and have no issues. The hidden modes that the EasyTek switches your hearing aids to without your permission is really annoying. They need to allow the user to manually change things if he/she desires too.

Dismal. It seems that there is a big bug that does what every it wants to. It is suppose to be able to keep several different devices that you can connect to. I can't even connect to one device. I got a transmission box and the only thing that is voice level, being able to control the sound levels independently from the television. I can pair the two but that is all I can do. Also the instructions are clear as mud. You should have a ordinary person write the instructions and someone to do the prof reading.

Overall I like it. Works well with my iPhone. I love the hands free use in the car. The only thing I would love to see is no need for the "necklace". Wouldn't it be nice if the Bluetooth was built into the hearing aid? The other option would be a something, anything smaller that is more easily hidden.

Disconnects. Great when it's working, but it regularly disconnects, and beeps a lot.

Siemens who?. They make trains, power stations, MRI machinery, large scale transformers who knows what else but the micro stuff they can’t get right! As many have observed the gadget is very fickle, short lived and more a source of annoyance than an assistance in everyday life. They might get it right one day! A disappointed customer, like many others. They can have mine back and play with it! Regards GAKS Still no change! A pathetic little gadget and a waste of money! Why don’t you offer to take it back? You should be able to afford it? Another piece of electronic waste! Regards GAKS

Not happy. Bought for use with hearing aids will connect to calls but won't let you listen to music or movies on iPhone. Slow on updates, neck loop keeps breaking at ends mine has been repaired on no. of occasions needs improvement

EasyTek. Not user friendly nor conistantly reliably and the user manual is useless, missing lots of stuff that I have had to learn from trial and experiment.

Expensive. Very expensive for something that's far more trouble than it's worth.

It could be better. Keeps disconnecting on me. Short charge life.

Works great. Syncs well with my iPhone. Great for listening to all sorts of audio.... news, Ted talks, my music etc. Great for hands free phone calls. Hearing loss disadvantages turned into wonderful advantages.

Potential. Bluetooth connectivity is spotty.

Old App never updated and forgotten by Silvantos. With all the newer models available Silvantos has forgotten that there are users with older hearing aids still using the easy tek and needing support for older products. With the newer models of hearing aids the older models get ignored.

Inaccurate and unreliable. The App consistently indicates inaccurate information about battery levels. Often the Bluetooth connection doesn't work. There is no way to reconnect. There is no automative connection.

let down. after waiting patiently for my hearing aids to come in i got them fitted and when i got home i could not get the app to work with my hearing aids. extremely let down

IPod 5th Generation. Please make it work on the iPod. All app does is go to a dark screen. My next hearing aid will be a Seimans brand, if , you get this app working on the iPod.

Jim Bj. Always disconnects form blue tooth and have to reconnect

Ho Hum. When it works it is great but it doesn't work most of the time. 😤

Signia. If I would Have known how hard and unstable connecting to Bluetooth and Signia is I would never have bought the Siemens earing aid. The connection to the App is crap.

Very buggy. Could give 5 stars if they improved the connection reliability with the EasyTek device.

Easy Tek. My Easy Tek works well on my TV, however it sometimes disconnects so I have to pare it again. The battery doesn’t last long so I have two devices. It’s better than having my neighbour hear my TV. I don’t wear the telephone piece too often as I like to keep the necklace inside my shirt. I do have the microphone for a speaker but that is very hard to make the connection. Most of the time the speaker starts and my connection isn’t there so I just leave it. That device to me is very important as I don’t hear any of the speakers as they don’t know how to hold the public microphone. The Easy Tek microphone l wish would work better. These gadgets are all very expensive and don’t always work.

Easytek ouff. J’ai un iPhone huit et ça fonctionne pas très bien ça se déconnecte très souvent faudrait faire une mise à jour car j’ai aucune autre application qui pourrait fonctionner avec désagréable

Lag problem. I am a bit disappointed about the easytek device. Plugged to my home theater system and it lag ... Approx 300 ms ...

Bon gratis et facile. Bon gratis et facile

EasyTek. Bluetooth is garbage. Very difficult to connect on power up, frequent disconnects while in use. My $20 earbud is more stable.

Review. Terrible app and hearing aids. They keep disconnecting from the antenna. I’ve replaced both hearing aids twice and repaired as many times.

Lotus land. I agree with "hog town" review, also would like to see more range before Bluetooth fails...my old sonus unit has twice the range, this one 25' and I lose the signal...major bummer...

Great tool. Nice to see how good are the batteries and easy set up too!

Pas très bon. Et même je dirais bon à rien mais pour les appareils eux très efficaces

Works okay when it works. I like being able to mute background noise when streaming music but it doesn’t always connect reliably.

Up and down. I love the versatility of the Bluetooth but it disconnects all the time on me. I also wish I could access the voice commands on my iPad and iPhone as well thru the neck piece. Aside from some stability issues it's not bad.

Siemens easyTek. Half the time when I’m connected to the app, the app doesn’t recognize it, therefore I cannot get any info from the app (battery life) yet I can play music through the hearing aids

Klunky tek. Interaction with my iPhone often gets my right hearing aid restarting repeatedly, resetting to defaults when it starts working again. Nifty when it works, but it is unreliable

Always resetting. Poor , have to reset every day

Great idea but problematic. The idea of a Bluetooth hearing aid is terrific but the implementation is a bit half-baked. Problem is that the Bluetooth is not very robust. Pairing is frequently forgotten and connections dropped, and have to be reestablished, sometimes more than once a day. I'm used to more stable Bluetooth and feel I have a right to expect it here too. To be fair to the authors of this app, I don't know whether this is a hardware or software issue. Also, this is an app that cries out for an Apple Watch companion. (written a while later.) Having lived with this app a while longer I have to agree with the most negative reviews. Siemens seems to have farmed out app development to a subcontractor. Big mistake, in this case. I hope sooner or later it dawns on them that they have a serious problem on their hands that needs to be fixed pronto.

Great App with Minor bugs. I also experienced the problem another reviewer noted about using the TouchControl functions with the EasyTek App, but the solution of using the TouchControl App works. App is pretty intuitive and gives great control over HAs. Especially like the configurator adjuster available in Universal program. The developer needs to do a better job of letting customers reach them for support. The support link here just takes you to the Siemens corporate site-no links to customer support of the apps.

Don’t buy it. Always drops hearings aids. Constantly having to repair. TV connection doesn’t work. Great idea. Too many bugs.

Great app. Very easy to use. Pairing is seamless. Love It!

Updated to 1.4.3. App works as expected. However, the touch control within the easyTek app is buggy. You can get it to work but the volume button is maxed out yet the aids are at the default volume set by the dispenser. This occurs on any program that is programmed by the dispenser. Disable the touch Control within easyTek and use the separate touchControl app when not using your easyTek or you don't have it with you. The touchControl app works flawlessly. Be advised that you can eliminate ambient noise when streaming any audio. This procedure is in your manual.

Quirky To Say The Least. Don’t use this app unless you have to.

It’s good. I don’t have anything to compare it to.

App doesn’t work!!. I have a Pure 3bx in left ear. It connects with my EasyTEK...which connects with my phone, tv, music, etc.. The APP, however, WILL NOT RECOGNIZE my Bluetooth connection on my phone!!! Its infuriating!!! Oh, and also....APP SUPPORT has been useless!

Upset. Easy Tek continually says the app is not compatible with my hearing devices, it is frustrating.

Everybody. I know you don’t look at these or else Would have repaired the software repaired by now

Frustrated. I've had the unit and this app about a year now, I have found from my hearing specialist that there's a new version that allows directional hearing other than just forward. My suggestion Is that as you update this app and or the equipment you make it all interchangeable. Very frustrating to try and use the equipment when only the new equipment will work the way it's written. Overall the app is good have a long ways to go in order to make it great.

Total dud. Stopped working completely soon after receiving it. Audiologist tried to reconnect without success

New user - app spotty. It has great potential but overall disappointing. Sometimes links with " In Call" as if I'm in the middle of a cell call, when I'm not. Sometimes doesn't connect at all. Sometimes it connects but tells you it can't connect, and sometimes works perfectly. It's really hit or miss. I don't see why you need the easy tek itself when you have the app. I'm still under the trial period so if I can't get solid info from tech support, back it goes.

Iffy. Iffy

EasyTek. Excellent app, easy to use and sync with hearing aids and iPhone.

Lukewarm Like. The app is very much like the famous Little Girl, "when she was good, she was very, very good. And when she was bad, she was horrid." Recognizing that hearing instruments appears to be a whimsical exercise that, at best. It is not consistent. It takes far too long each day, and during the day, to have the iPhone and the hearing instruments both pair with the app. If you are prepared for some frustration, but also anxious to find what is, at least allegedly, the state of the art system, you should try it.

Horrible. Only have one thing to say this app s_ _ks fix it.

Worst medical app.. For a company that charges $8600 for a pair of hearing aids, this has to be about the worst medical app on the App Store. I have a pair of resounds lynx and while they are not perfect, they work a 1000x better than this dog of an app. The easy trek device is the worst. It loses connection, changes mode without prompting and does not change back without user intervention. It is completely unusable in it current state. I will be switching to another brand as soon as possible. The hearing aids themselves maybe good, but the user interaction is the most infuriating thing. It is bad enough when you can't hear, but to them have to fight with your device is not worth it, even if it was a $50 device, but $8600, no way, ever. Go back and look at the reviews and see how long they have not cared to address, much less fix the problem. Save yourself a constant headache and pick anything else.

Easytek b. Tried using your app but it says cannot find the easytek. Sitting on my lap. Been using hearing aids and wifi on old phone. Your app does nothing

Malfunctions. Update: malfunctioning in new ways. I can no longer connect. Going out and buying Apple Bluetooth earbuds.

Easytek. Great app very useful and friendly

Works inconsistently. Could be better

Lots of potential. This app is great when it's connected. Love the ease of switching settings using my phone. People think you're just checking texts so hearing aids are less obvious. The problem is it won't stay connected and has to be reconnected multiple times in a day. Also, there is no "notification" when you lose the connection. Also, reconnecting isn't always easy. It sometimes requires cycling the power on the Easy Tech device. Sometimes it's even a tough connect first thing in the morning. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, it uses lots of battery. Until I got this device I never had to charge during the day. Now, it's every day if I want to make it to bedtime. And for the developers out there, I have an iPhone 5s, just in case you were wondering.

Temperamental. Temperamental Often refuses to connect

Needs Major work. Hardware work some of the time. Not able to reconnect to IPhone without having to manually reconnect using the phone settings. I spend way to much time making it work.

When it connects works ok.. This works in conjunction with an accessory for those using Siemens brand hearing aids (with Bluetooth capabilities). This product is pretty horrible. Majority of time it fails to sync for a variety of reasons. Tells me the hearing aids will not sync, my cables are not connected (despite fact they are), or just won't connect. When it connects, works well. The phone comes in well, streams music! Is very nice and worth the couple hundred dollars I paid. However, I feel part of disappointment when it is connected stems from my audiologist and her lack of knowledge in setting up a hearing aid properly. So for that, I can't blame the app/accessory. Though if it connected say, 95% of time I'd rate it higher. Can't use it if it doesn't connect. Am to point I may return hearing aids and accessory. I want a Bluetooth enabled aid that works.

Not very useful at all. Not very useful. I very seldom use it.

I agree with Frustrating. Constant beeps, disconnects etc.

Very good. But could be better

Needs update. This app badly needs to be updated mainly to address Bluetooth self disconnection issues described by almost every user.

Gotta use it to love it. If you are looking for an application that will really add value to your life you have to use EasyTek. Bring the news, the game, the big event directly to your ears to improve comprehension and enjoyment. Friends and family commenting on how loud the TV is? EasyTek directs sound to your ears directly through your receiver to your hearing aids at a comfortable volume for you regardless of the volume setting on the TV... even if the TV is muted! Telephone calls are directed right to your ears and the application even allows completely hands free telephone conversations. But, it's like every tool, you've got to use it to love it.

Also frustrated. This app needs a lot of help! Keeps disconnecting. alm

EasyTek. It is very useful for my hearing impairment. Works great for me

You would have thought Siemens could have come up with something much better than this.. Bad

Very good system/It works well when...... It takes a little bit of understanding to get all the systems in sync all the time. When everything is connected it works like a charm. However, if you do not set up the pairing each morning, the programming apparatus tends to go off on its own and decides the program best for your environment, which is impossible to change without reconnecting the devices.

Spatial Configuration doesn’t work. Does even appear after IOS 11 update. It basically worthless. Has only Universal option on configuration on iPhone 7. Nothing else. It’s pretty worthless

R King. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE FIRST REVIEW. I’M EXPERIENCING THE EXACY SAME PROBLEMS AS THE PERSON DESCRIBED. HAVE BEEN FOR THE LAST THREE OR FOUR YEARS. YOU WOULD THINK THEY COULD HAVE FIXED THINGS BY NOW. Will there be any updates fourth coming in the future, or is this it?

Great app & love my hearing aids. This app is great easy to use

Staying connected.. The Iphone will not stay connected to the easy Tec. It looses connection several times a day. Very frustrating.

Almost Great, not quite yet. The app does what it represents, although not completely initiatively, and not repeatedly reliable, which is a PROBLEM for a medical device app. After much frustration and time searching for answers I stumbled on a “work-around” for a big issue. The problem: you set the program mode you want for the hearing aid and when the phone is closed the easyTek reverts to “Music Player.” The workaround is that when starting the phone, and anytime bluetooth is turned back on, swipe from bottom of phone screen, select AirPlay, and change it from easyTek to iPhone. Whenever easyTek connects AirPlay defaults to easyTek instead of the phone. As long as AirPlay remains on iPhone you no longer loose your program selections when closing the phone or the app.

Poor.. Very poor . The Hering ais is also not much help for me .

Power Drain. App does everything it says it will do - giving control over many settings to the user of the aids. Problem 1: Even when the app is not open, it runs in the background and uses insane amounts of battery power. The ap needs a sleep mode where it stops using the Bluetooth function unless the app is open. Fix this please! Problem 2: On multiple occasions it will not acknowledge the easytek is on and is connected to the hearing aids. These two issues with the easytek functionality detract from the overall superior quality of the hearing aids. The Phonak iCom uses substantially less juice and never fails to connect with the hearing aids - so these issues are fixable...

Reductive and Restrictive.. The tech has the potential to be exceptional, yet is highly limiting. Adaptive and additive technology should provide the greatest freedoms and empowerments available but this tech has the capabilities, but the software engineers place their proprietary app/software before the benefits of their clients/customers with hearing disabilities. Specifically, the Dr. Office has to ability to alter many elements of the hearing spectrum, but these nuances are not given to the customer to modify, manage or manipulate to their needs. Instead, the hearing disabled (that is me by the way) are at the restrictive and controlled natures of the Dr to make the nuanced adjustments or 'tuning' that some environments present. Moreover, the software only gives a rudimentary 'Bass/Treble" adjustment. The hearing impaired have been at the mercy of not living a quite enriched auditory environment, and though hearing things louder is arguably better than not hearing things at all, the limiting and indigent control of the software engineers intentional design is quite possibly morally reprehensible. Provide mores specific environmental adjustments and frequency adjustments and dampener/filter adjustments.

Works Well. The only major thing I have a issue with is volume control and bass/treble control. I would like the option to place them back into their default position or have an indicator on the adjuster line for the neutral location. Also, would it be possible to have a feature that turns off the hearing aid microphones when listening to music via streaming to allow more quieter listening.

Unreliable. It constantly disconnects and then can’t reconnect.

NEEDS WORK. The hardware seems to work well and the software, after a period of adjustment on your part, does what it is supposed to do. The tones have to be decoded without a manual and stated distance for link to the Bluetooth on your phone is wildly optimistic. It does notify you when the connection is made but not when it is broken. This causes some difficulty but it can be coped with eventually. A manual would be a great help. The cost of their accessories is too steep for what you get. The EasyTek medallion is supposed to work through several layers of clothing but I can't get it to work through more than a tee shirt. A tone to let you know when the Bluetooth connection is lost would also help. I have tried a cable connection to the TV but that is too clumsy to be practical. In short, practice helps but nothing makes it even close to perfect.

BU-DU-BU-BEEEEP! Arghhhh!. When it works, it’s fine. But that’s only about half the time, at best. The announcement sound it produces when the iPhone is starting to send sounds, is absolutely infuriating. It is too long, usually obliterating the meaningful beep the iPhone is trying to produce. It is too loud, to the point of often drowning out external sounds. It comes too often, which in combination with the other two issues, make things like having the Maps app give directions absolutely impossible. "BU-DU-BU-BEEEEP in 100 feet” or “BU-DU-BU-BEEEEP turn now”. Not to be confused with BU-DU-BU-BEEEEP, which may or may not be an incoming text message. Furthermore, the Easytek randomly disconnects from the iPhone. There’s no predicting when it’s going to happen, even when just holding the phone, doing nothing. Often, doing nothing, I’ll get the beeps in each ear indicating the thing has reconnected, obviously after having disconnected itself. Sometimes things get so bad that my hearing aids go bonkers. I’ll suddenly get notification sounds only in one ear. Then, changing volume using the hearing aid buttons produces sounds in both ears, but out of sync with each other. Changing programs using the hearing aid buttons produces the dreaded BU-DU-BU-BEEEEP, even after turning off the Easytek and Bluetooth. The only fix is to turn off and on both hearing aids. What fun. In summary, the Easytek and its app are a pile of BU-DU-BU-BEEEEP! These stability and connectivity issues must be corrected, and more user control must be given to the sounds that are produced (choice of sounds, as well as individual on/off/volume).
