Very Helpful. This is a very helpful tool when your not really sure whats okay to eat.
Needs revision and more features. I wish there was more to this app. You’d think for the price there would be a more extensive list and other functions (food diary, recipes, and different types of lists of you have an additional allergy or sensitivity). Also it’s confusing because like it says I can eat things like pumpkin pie but when you look up the ingredients to pumpkin pie some aren’t safe. I have believed this app, ate something they said was safe, and then had a flare and ended up in pain!
Can we trust it?. It’s kind of hard to trust the app when they say “caution!” for pecans but then recommend KIND bars with pecans...
Ic warrior. Good app!
Very Disappointing! - Look Elsewhere!. Are you kidding me? They couldn't get more specific? Under beverages "Juices" is in all three categories: "bladder friendly", "worth trying cautiously" and "foods to avoid". Hmmm, I wonder exactly how many juices there are…? Pear Juice is great but what else can I drink?? I hoped this would be good because it's from the Interstitial Cystitis Network!
Invaluable. This app is a great resource to use. I find myself checking it every time I am about to eat or drink anything. The only thing that would make it better would be if the user could add their own personal friendly or trigger foods to their own app.
Great Start!. I am so happy that the ICN has developed this application for us. It is MUCH easier than looking at the full version website while on the go. I would love to see a lot more of what the ICN has on their website available here, as well (doctor finder, combating a flare, etc), but the diet is a perfect start to the ICN joining the app world! Thank you so much for caring for us, as a community, and keeping the app very decently priced. I know this will become one of my most used applications (we'll have to see if it can surpass Angry Birds in data usage!) ❤ kt ❤
Only half works. While this app partially works it wasn't worth $.99. There are free lists on the web of foods to avoid and to enjoy. All of the buttons had the error "unable to read" - disappointing!
Useless. This is simply a list of foods to try, to avoid, and that are ok. The problem-most foods are in all three lists. Additionally you can track anything. It is just 3 lists that aren't even helpful. I'd like my money back.
Needs an update. You should update with more foods & search place. You also should make it fit the iPhone5 screen.
Pretty good app. I wIsh there was a way to submit inquires to the creator about products not on the list (like jello).
Great!. Such an easy app to use! You are able to easily search for either ingredients or foods and check to see if they are friendly, try it or caution. It’s not the largest list of items so be sure to check with your doctor and use caution trying items not listen but overall a great and helpful app!
Such great help. This app is great help, I have used it since day 1 and found it to be such a great inspiration to broaden some our meals, yet a lot of stuff is still missing but I understand that it takes time and energy and manpower to do such a thing. But it would be nice to know about game meat like : elk/venison/bear/boar/duck/ rabbit/ quail/ etc I know that all might sound random to you or weird or gross but a lot of people live and rely on fresh meat they hunt for too. Nobody seems to know in any groups, so I've always wondered. Can the app answer my question on game meat? Oh and more drinks maybe? Boy am I ever so thirsty for something other then water!! :| lol Thank you IC Network for every single article and publication you have done, every video, every research story, every fundraising effort and thank you SO VERY MUCH for this app!! It has been ever so helpful :-)
ICN Food List. App is very helpful tool. Great assist when grocery shopping. Would love an ICN Cookbook app
Invaluable resource!. It is an awesome app that allows you to have the wonderful IC diet at your finger tips. It groups food/drink so you can look up a specific food. It also groups items into three categories, safe, try it and avoid.
Seriously? Seriously Cheesy!. I can't believed I had to pay 99 cents for this app. Come on guys!
LOVE IT!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. I have been suffering from IC for about 14 yrs. I hated to always guess of what to eat and what not to eat, I kinda know what triggers my flares, but it's nice to know all I have to do now is click on my ICN APP!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS!! IC patients are going to L❤VE this!! HI JILL!!! GOD BLESS all who gave all for this APP!! 🌹👼 Denise
Update. Please make the list more thorough and make the search feature more robust to make the app worth it. Nice project, and I’m happy to chance my review if there is some attention given to this.
Much better than linking the list!. As some reviewers have mentioned, you could just link the PDF of the food list. But that is thirteen pages long, and as of the most recent update is no longer organized by category. Someone new to the diet needs to see the foods by category and have a searchable database. This is an excellent app.
Use it Daily!. I love this app. It's easy to search for specific items or just browse to get ideas for dinner or a snack. Definitely worth the purchase. Would recommend.
So helpful to avoid flare-causing foods!!. I am so happy to discover this app! Makes it so easy to determine what I can and can't eat, especially when grocery shopping, out at restaurants, or even just to share with others who are curious about IC! So glad that more information is getting out there about this condition as well, thank you!
<3 it!!. Very handy when your grocery shopping and haven't eaten a particular item...Absolutely a must have for everyone that suffers from IC!!
How Cool is This New App!!. I have been suffering with IC for 23 yrs! Just got an iPhone for Christmas. Now with this App, it will make my food choice decisions a lot easier and more convenient. Besides, I want to make better food choices in 2012 so this will really help me! Many thanks to the ICN for developing this app!
Cooly. Great app! Great when food shopping. User friendly, useful information with links to resources for additional information and low acid brands of food and beverages. Very detailed, Very helpful! Highly recommend!
Basic. It gives a basic list of what to avoid and what you can possibly try. Really short list and limited varieties. A ton of food items it doesn’t list so I don’t know if they are ok or not. Needs to expand so much but if you just start out with IC helps with basic food items.
A necessity for anyone with IC!. Great app! Please update!!!!! Thank you!!
Basic List with Limitations. Really nice list of basic foods. I like that they categorize the items into friendly, try it, and caution. However, I wish they had a search feature to look up foods instead of having to hunt for them. Would also like to see more food types listed.
Needs updated. Half the stuff don't work and it's really outdated. It would be nice if you could add notes
Woeful. Extremely limited list. I should have read the reviews before buying.
Very helpful and useful. I started using this app after being diagnosed with IC I find it very useful only thing I wish it had was an option to mark the foods that I’m able to or can’t eat some of the green zone are triggers for me and I’d like to be able to track what try it foods that gave me triggers or what was safe to eat. Otherwise this app is great I'm able to look up foods when not home and not having to carry my IC diet book.
Great app. I find this app very helpful as well. I definitely would not want to look at the pdf file every time. I would love if it had a scan it feature to determine if what Im purchasing at the stow is IC friendly. But this is a great start, thanks ICN
Updated 2012 List?. I don't see any difference between what was on the old 2008 food list on the web site and this! You want a five star, earn it! You NEED to add a scan module that could be used 'live' while shopping to determine the safety of a food! Put it to use, flag it green for the safe list, or flag it red as a food not to buy. Then this app would be worth more than the PDF I already have on my device! Thanks!
Good app. I love that this app has easy-to-use, research-based information. What would make it even better is a way to make personal notes, especially with the "try it" foods, I sometimes find myself wondering if I have tried it recently, or which brand was it that I can tolerate? Other than that, the organization and extensive info on IC-safe foods are very useful!
Ic app. This is awesome! So much easier to shop.
Needs an update!. I get an error message each time I try to open the four tiles- flare fighting foods, beer wine & spirits, how to use this list & about the ICN. In a flare it would be nice to be able to open the flare fighting foods section for a helpful review.
Just use google. I’m kind of sorry I spent money on this app. It’s a nice list, but not at all exclusive. Chocolate is bad - what about white or macha chocolate? Molasses? It’s also VERY preachy about fat, sugar, artificial flavoring, etc. I honestly wonder if some foods are on the bad list not because they cause IC, but because the developers think they’re unhealthy. Arbitrary. I need an IC only guide. I already know dyed popsicles aren’t the best food choice.
Food. The app has great intentions but certainly does not have the variety of foods I was hoping for. Definitely falls short......
Saved my life. So many things I thought no way would hurt my bladder I learned would. Took the 'freak out' out of my flairs!
Fantastically Simple. As someone who is just entering the complex world of IC, this app has been a godsend in its simplicity. The rating system is straightforward and effective - and that sentiment applies to the design of the app, as well. It is direct, easy to navigate, and quick to read. Cannot support this app enough. Saves me hours of research and I could not be happier.
A must for all IC Sufferers!. This has been the best tool I've found since I was diagnosed with this awful affliction. Such a great help for such a complex diet!
Not customizable. I was very disappointed that for the price I couldn't at least customize which foods are in which category for me. All of us who have ic and know how to use the Internet at all can get this much info but to be able to "have tried it" and track the reaction would be much more useful. Every single ic patient reacts differently to any combination of foods you can think of. Personally I can eat some of the red caution foods and can't eat some of the so called "friendly food. I was diagnosed 3 years ago with multiple Hunner's lesions via cystoscope w/ hydrodistension.

Good!. I love having this handy for when I need it. Appreciate!
Thank you. Thank you for providing us with an app giving us access to the IC diet and more tips and tricks. I had printed a pocket-size version of the IC diet guide but the app is MUCH better! Isabelle
