Okay. I once owned a version of the Tom Tom navigation app years ago and it was great. It seems to have regressed with current app, the GO version, IMO. One is that there is no indication of what road you are currently on. Another is that the directions for a nearby toll road are strange. The way points are apparently mostly toll booths where you are instructed to keep left then you start over again. But the main problem is that it doesn’t tell me how far to my next turn or exit which is all I really care about. Other issues I reported in a previous review have been fixed so I appreciate that.

Most useful app on CarPlay. This App has come a long way, been using it since before CarPlay even existed. The app has great features that aren’t available on the “other” services and 100% Ad-Free!! The Offline navigation makes this a no-brainer. Many of the complaints and bad reviews are because people simply aren’t tech savvy. You want offline navigation without having to download maps? Really?!? How?!? Bad reviews cause the maps look “blurry”….how?!? Some of these bad reviews are so off-track that I’d swear they’re from competitors trying to stain TomTom’s App. For the price of a few cups of coffee a year, the features you get and the constant map updates are totally worth it. If you have CarPlay you’re gonna love this app and the Siri/Siri shortcut integrations.

What on earth is up with this app?. I downloaded this (on my IPhone) yesterday and although, I downloaded the US map, it only shows my state data (South Carolina) on the map display. I live in SC but I work in Georgia - it doesn’t register/show “any” streets for Georgia on the display. It syncs up, no problem, with my CarPlay but the display again, only shows SC info ONLY! I typed in my Georgia work address in the search bar but to no avail. Then, when I want to figure out how to make this thing work properly, I have to decipher through a bunch of different videos on how to get the whole US map on my phone?? Are you kidding me??? Shouldn’t that be an AUTOMATIC, when you download the app? Or a simple customer service toll-free number to help walk you through setting it up? (I’m somewhat tech savvy but apparently not a GENIUS like you all expect me to be to “figure it out on my own) I didn’t have this issue with Apple Maps or Google Maps! And you want to charge my $30 a year for this kinda crap??? I want a refund on this or some help on how to fix this problem!!!

Best route options out there.. I’m a little disappointed that I was forced into a 12 month subscription without a notification to cancel before the free trial period ended but I like the routing options better than other available apps so I will use TomTom until this subscription expires…unless you are able to integrate user input for reporting police, potholes, objects in road etc. If that happens I will be willing to continue subscriptions. Not sure why you don’t have this incorporated already. Anyway, add this and you’ll get 5 stars from me. Also, I do like no pop up adds but would be willing to see them in exchange for a free app. Been using TomTom navigation for many years. Keep up the good work.

TomTom let me down. The only reason I pay the annual fee for TomTom is to use in rural areas with no cell service (Waze is my go-to). On this weekend trip to the coast TomTom kept freezing on the screen the condition that would cause this was if my phone got a brief cell signal then lost it. To fix it I would have to pull over, close the app, then restart it. This happened 3 times before I gave up on it. Fortunately I pre-loaded the area in Google maps and was able to enjoy the rest of my trip without issues, no thanks to TomTom. As a long time user (including the original app they discontinued) I will no longer be paying the annual fee. App will be deleted and I’ll be looking for other hard load app options. Review update... after Karen’s (TomTom’s rep on here) response I went to the support page she referred to in attempt to give the details of the problem so they can fix the bug. I got a robot that just kept referring me back to the same page. Too bad. I once liked TomTom.

Before purchasing Tomtom. Hi, I hope the developers can answer a technical question please: I am wondering whether full functions of the TomTom app would work on my IPad Air (4th Gen no sim card) connected by wifi hotspot from my phone. I don’t have CarPlay in my car so I use my IPad screen as a navigator, My current issue with Waze and Google Maps is that they don’t work correctly on my IPad when connected by a hotspot wifi, showing that the GPS cannot connect, even though it is working fine, it just shows a dot on the map which is not at all synchronized with my actual position. Do you think it is an issue with TomTom? Alternatively do you offer a trial period. Thanks for your reply

Endless changing license terms. I paid a good chunk for an App ages ago. Every few updates TomTom modified their revenue plan. So those of us that paid for an expensive 1-time purchase app just get screwed endlessly as they switch to new revenue plans. Violating the terms of the license agreement that was originally purchased under. Find. Charge me for subscription for new maps, but I paid for a navigation app with a specific version of offline maps...and now I can’t even use them without a subscription?! No wonder the legacy navigation units are DOA, they can’t change the rules or the game after you paid into their system and expect customers to stay. If I have to buy TomTom again, why wouldn’t I buy someone else’s app?

Subscription. I am tired of subscriptions especially if they are tied to fees. I would of loved to try out Tom Tom (I was one of the first back in the day) but the whole thing about a trial period and then a small monthly fee sent red flags up for me. I had too many monthly subscriptions that I seldom used and don’t want to get back into that habit. Why would I buy a subscription when there are so many for free that work perfectly fine. The only reason that I’m writing a non review is to let the developers know why I don’t want to try their product. I am turning subscriptions off not on. I want to own not rent. Hope this helps to understand where some people are coming from. Maybe one day I’ll try it but until then keep working on it.

Gave it a shot. I have been using Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze for years. I thought it best to give this a try. Off the bat, I was very disappointed that you have to pay for traffic info, etc. where that is free on other map apps. Major interstates are instead stated as US highways. No traffic camera notifications like I get on Waze. No mic search or address entry, need to use the phone instead of the screen. While this is visually nice map and the developers did a nice job so far, I don’t feel that the price is worth it compared with the other alternatives that are out there for free.

I was looking for an advanced GPS, this is not it. I thought I could find a better gps then what apple or google have, well this paid app is not that. The free apps far exceed this one. This one doesn’t give an estimated drive time. The maps are weird that you have to download them, it’s not even smart enough to find an address unless you download the map first. You would think if you put your route in then it would figure out what it needs to download. I played with the app for about 30 minutes before driving with it, was so bad I just deleted it. It offered nothing over the free apps. I am willing to pay for an advanced navigation app, but this a step backwards.

Lost all my data upon renewal. The app wouldn’t recognize my subscription renewal. It also wouldn’t allow me to renew because it said my subscription was current. The manage subscription option failed to connect and errored out. The only way to get it to function was to delete the app and reinstall. All my data was lost when I uninstalled. TomTom now wants me to sync my data to their cloud to not lose it next time. This feels calculated and forced since there was no subscription problems in previous years.

Using with CarPlay by Voice Command. This app mimics the built-in TomTom navigation in my Subaru. I am considering using it when my free Live Traffic from SiriusXM expires, or if I get a new Subaru without built-in nav. Can I ask for directions on my Siri-activated steering wheel button? Can I say “Drive to 123 Main Street using TomTom” and have it calculate direction? On CarPlay if I just ask for “Drive to 123 Main Street” it routes using the Apple Map. I can add “…using Waze” or “…using Google Maps.” Can I do a similar feature adding “…using TomTom?”

Great for no service areas. I’ve recently started traveling in areas of no cell service. And, wanted offline maps incase I lost the route information in an area with no coverage. It has worked perfectly so far. I used the old TomTom devices for years, but mostly have used apple or google for the last ten or so. I’m still getting used to the user interface, but am very satisfied thus far.

gets me there... i’ve tried almost all map apps, from apple to google, and some that most have never heard of, and Tomtom is the only one that has an efficient mapping system ALONG WITH (and this is important for me) an audible warning of speed and red light cameras. Almost everyone offers speed camera alerts VISUALLY on the map but I find it EXTREMELY handy that tomtom is the only one that actually offers audible alerts so that I can be prepared for one way before I recognize I’m coming up on it on my own. If my next turn isn’t for 3 miles I’m not checking my carplay every 200 feet for visual alerts... i’m cruising for about a mile and a half before i look down again, so if a camera happens to pop up on the map that i’m unaware of, I get 3 pings in my stereo and a voice alerting me of said camera... THE BEST CAMERA SYSTEM OUT THERE RIGHT NOW.. the app itself has its kinks every now and then as I’ve seen with them all but overall a true 5/5 try not to change much in terms of functionality and I’ll be subscribing when my free trial is up.

Really poor nav system. I’m really disappointed in this app. There are some good aspects but they do not offset the excessive cost. First, I frequently pull a travel trailer so that actually results in a more positive review. Pros: 1 off line maps are a real plus 2 ability to set vehicle dimensions are a great help 3 actually stores customized routes and doesn’t change the routing Cons: 1) user interface is definitely unfriendly. VERY DIFFICULT to customize routes. Cannot shape routes at all so have to add a waypoint - which can cause serious problems. 2) Absolutely no lane information. In fact little information about an upcoming turn (see below) 3) Frequently indicates a slight curve when it is a hard turn, making figuring out the correct lane nearly impossible 4) can’t seem to use GPS coordinates instead on a street address 5) speed limit indications frequently inaccurate Overall, except for the truck routing feature, definitely not worth the cost.

Needs voice input. Would be nice to have the ability to use voice input when your already in motion. All the other gps units have it. I think the stability has increased which is good to see. My premium membership will be soon won’t renew until the voice support is added. Also would be nice to use contacts on Apple car play. I would rather support a company that values privacy than other map providers.

Horrible App!. I have been using it around my hometown to verify its accuracy/usability when I go out of town. It, usually, only suggests one route…like it’s their way “or the highway”. It does not re-route you. One time, it kept telling me to make a u-turn when I was just taking a different known route. It’s turn lanes are not always accurate, either. It would say to use the right turn lane when it should have been the left turn lane. Even though it proclaims to be the most up-to-date/accurate traffic…it’s not. One time, there was an accident on my route significantly delaying my arrival time when, had I taken a different route (actually suggested by another app), it could have saved me several minutes (about 10, not just 1 or 2). I regret paying for the app after their 7 day “trial period”. Save yourself the money! There are better navigation apps (some even free) out there.

Where’s the apple car play dash view ???!?!?!?!. I was under the impression that with the subscription I would be able to use this with my CarPlay as my main navigation as I love TomTom but that’s not the case, I know a beta has been out but they didn’t let me join and it’s been well over several months and this update has reached paying customers ? It’s ridiculous, I’m seriously thinking about contacting TomTom for my money back because there’s no point for paying for something that won’t work on CarPlay Dashboard, there’s many other free navigation app that will! Please add this ASAP to your app! -Sincerely Dan, and all paying subscribers !

Offline Mode Concern during Hurricane. I recently purchased a family subscription, one of the main reasons for the decision was offline maps downloaded so I could navigate if there was no cellular service. I have been having issues with the widget not working saying something to the effect of check my subscription, which had already been processed. I deleted the app and reinstalled all my maps again still same issue. I live in central/south Florida’s and we recently had hurricane Ian wreck everything around us. I had no cellular service, could not even get a simple SMS text through. We had to check on a friend of the family and wasn’t sure about how to get there so I started my TomTom app and nothing. It kept telling me it could not verify my subscription. When I needed it the most for truly offline it failed. I’m writing this review to the developers, please look into this issue. This was the moment your app is designed to work and I was faced with complete disappointment.

Works when not in motion freezes when driving. I so wanted to love this app, got my offline maps download, created a new Tom Tom account to synchronize and was planning to subscribe after the trial period was over. The app never crashed once or froze while doing this. However when used while driving froze within the first 5 minutes. Had to restart the app and start navigation and within 5 minutes froze again. The 2 times it was connected to apple car play. Never had issues with Waze or google maps . Disappointed as I really wanted an alternative to what I use right now.

Room for improvement. Decided to use the trial version for a road trip and while it was nice to have maps downloaded as to not rely on internet connection, Tom Tom frequently had incorrect posted speed limits and took you on roads that it shouldn’t have taken costing more in fuel and valuable time. Google Maps was more accurate once we switched over and listed the names of gas stations, restaurants, and hotels along the way. Tom Tom in my opinion is not worth the subscription fee. Waze and Google Maps both have better features and do not cost you.

It’s fine, but not quite there. I wanted the TomTom GO app plus CarPlay to replace my TomTom GO 520. It’s a no for me. While TomTom has an ongoing issue with iOS 13 and the MyDrive app I figured I’d give the app a go. The one thing I love about TomTom is their traffic feature. The CarPlay version doesn’t display the bar on the right side of the screen that shows upcoming gas stations, traffic, and parking. For that reason it’s a 4 for me and not a 5. It’s the reliable TomTom directions system and interface, but without the handy bar.

Not Impressed. I downloaded and purchased the app because I had used Tom Tom GPS unit for years. I was very disappointed in this app. You get WAY more with Waze which is free then you do with this app. It makes settings and features of other apps. I’ve been using it with my Apple car play around my area to see how it works and when using car play it won’t load until you physically unlock your iPhone and open the app. I used it to go somewhere local where I have never been before it kept getting confused and turned around and rerouting. Not worth the payment especially when you can use a app like Waze or even “maps” that comes with the phone that offer more options.

This is what we get for buying a $120 app?. I bought the TomTom US Canada app for over $100 and not too long after i purchased, support for it was dropped and taken off the appstore to be replace by this micro transaction garbage. Youd think the company would be loyal to the customers that got them where they are. I should get a lifetime membership to this app for purchasing the previous app at such a hefty price, & just for it just to be discontinued. Shame on this company for throwing away its only loyal customer base, especially when there are better alternatives that come installed with a brand new iphone. Theyll see this failed after trying to hop on micro transactions when there are FREE alternatives.

Not worth it.. I have used many different navigation systems and apps before and this one specifically is not really it. Most of the places and address are still not up to date and the general experience of using this app is much worse compared to its biggest competitor, Google Maps. Additionally, I do not really understand what that subscription, after 30 days free trial is for, because in my honest opinion, you can get a much better experience from other navigating apps at no cost whatsoever.

NEED TRUCKERS ROUTING OPTION:. I’ve had SEVERAL versions of TomTom for DECADES, back when I thought they were not only the BEST KEPT SECRET, but ALSO the BEST around!! Well, I don’t think that anymore. I think MAYBE people have been NEEDLESSLY tinkering with this product in areas where it DOESN'T NEED it & NOW, we have instances were CERTAIN THINGS are on the screen that DOESN'T NEED to be. Like just RECENTLY with me (…& not the ONLY time, btw) I was TRAVELING down a particular highway & there were 2 departure exit routes off of the one road, so TomTom is showing ON SCREEN (to someone/ME who’s NOT familiar with the area AT ALL) the route/highway number of the road I am NOT required to take AT ALL & the SHOWS the route/highway I need to transition to at the LAST SECOND, when it’s WAY to late for me to turn while I’m in traffic. And in a LARGE TRACTOR TRAILER no less. In OTHER words, your ACCURACY & NEED TO KNOW information ON SCREEN has gotten WORSE!!! And by the way, you all need a TRUCKERS OPTION for this app, so: 1.) it REDUCES the NEED to carry a LARGE device that may at TIMES attract thieves & MAY be stolen. 2.) My actual HARDWARE DEVICE’S TRAFFIC doesn’t display, for WHATEVER technical reason/issue & I’m PAYING for it & NOT being able to use it. 3.) A TRUCKERS ROUTING OPTION can be a EXTRA surcharge with the ability to type in the particular trucks dimensions, as far as Height, Width, Weight & possible HazMat Cargo.

So disappointed I removed the app even though I paid for a year.. Even though I paid for a year on July 1st I am so dissatisfied I removed the app from my phone. If you have owned a Garmin I doubt you will ever be satisfied with tomtom. This app rarely shows the name of a cross street at an intersection. Support contacted me if I could provide an example, after driving for another 3 weeks with the app on constantly I have yet to come to any intersection where the cross street name is available. Using TomTom MyDrive on a large screen PC it’s possible to locate the cross street name, but certainly not on the mobile app. TomTom GO Navigation TomTom "Hi Jwaand! We’re sorry you had a bad experience. We request you to help us with the name of the maps installed on your phone and also confirm if changing the zoom orientation helps? ^Team TomTom I no longer have the app on my phone. Changing the zoom makes no difference, this is simply something that tomtom doesn’t feature. My neighbor has an $80 thousand dollar Audi with built in tomtom navigation, and has the same problem. His answer is simply to use Apple Maps via AirPlay.

Didn’t work on my trip to Cancun, Mexico.. I downloaded the Yucatán Peninsula area, where included the towns, cities and spots I had planned to visit, and just work to make the back and forth from main cities, meanwhile I downloaded de offline version of google maps, (for Free), and works flawlessly. The paid version of TomTom, sent me at the wrong direction at the first spot to visit, then at the second one was off for some blocks, after the 4th one I quite using it and used only the Google Maps. Make yourself a favor and download the offline version of the area you’ll visit and you are covered with Google.

One major problem that makes me regret paying for a year. I make a lot of sales calls, and I I never realized how helpful it was to have stop lights on my navigation app until Apple Maps (of all people) came out with traffic lights before even Google Maps. To be able to see exactly where you are turning solely based on simply counting the number of traffic lights you need to go through is crazy convenient. TomTom’s interface is clean and easy to navigate, but until they add street lights - I’m a one and done subscriber.

Not like the original TomTom. Purchased for trip to Iceland. Couldn’t find the Hilton Hotel in Reykjavik. I put in the name of a famous waterfall and it returned three hits. The descriptions were in Icelandic which I can’t read and the wrong choice would have sent me an hour out of my way and taken me to the wrong side of the falls. There were several addresses it couldn’t find as well. I finally gave up and used Apple Maps which worked fine except for one time when there was no service. Fortunately TomTom worked that time. Why they think descriptions in Icelandic are a good idea is a mystery. In need of a major improvement

Not up to par, at all.. Did free trial, and really wanted to like it given I can use on a iPad. The app for trucks is basically worthless. It won’t find any of my last three stops in order to route me there. Then on routing it doesn’t display truck stops only gas stations for cars. How the app does not identify Loves, or Pilot while claiming to be a truck navigation system is beyond me. Even worse they charge you more for the truck navigation feature. Glad I found it’s useless before I paid for it.

Been using TomTom since 2010. In my thoughts, Tomtom is one of the best Navi app out in the market now, even I don’t use it as of right now. The red camera alert would actually save you lots of money. Also the clean UI interface makes me rewind the old days that I used tomtom. Thank you developer for making a great Navi app, much better than Garmin I would say. The only reason why I stopped using tomtom is that I use Apple Maps now which is free since I don’t drive much if at all. It’s been working greatly for me.

Pathetic is a good way to describe this. You have to download the map first in order to use it, which is fine, in theory. However the way this is designed is that it won’t download in the background so you must have the app opened and primary in your phone otherwise the map will never download successfully. Directly related is the slow download speed. Even on a 500Mbps connection it would take at least 30 minutes to just download Texas. So you are not able to touch your phone for at least the 30 minutes to download. Ok, so when you do this inconvenient thing, is the map good? Negative. I live in North Texas which is growing rapidly. But even neighborhoods that are now built out and 5 years old do not yet show on this map. If I search for a business it gives me promoted businesses hundreds or thousands of miles away instead of what is nearby. Overall it is useless.

One of the best navigation apps. I’ve tried Waze, Apple Maps, Google Maps, and various others on the store and this is by far one of the most polished. The subtle overlay of buildings in 3D is a nice touch. There’s only one reason I’ll be sticking with my current map app over TomTom Go: there is no automatic turn by turn direction list in Car Play mode. You can click through settings / current route / instructions to see a list but it doesn’t auto update and is a little cumbersome. By default, CarPlay just shows a map on the car and phone screens. It’s just enough of an inconvenience to keep me from subscribing currently and using as my main nab app, but I’ll be watching future versions. If you don’t use Car Play, this is one of the best navigation app around.

Worse than terrible. This is not a trick specific app as it was portrayed to be in the vehicle section. The only choice is, it gave me was for a vehicle with a combustion engine, and the maximum speed limit that I would like to put in. I am glad I tested in my pick up instead of my semi it was trying to take me down streets that my pick up truck would hardly fit on. That’s why I tested it on a route that I was very familiar with. I will not be extending my free trial. It also did not give the name of the state highway. That would be the main highway if it was also a County Road it would give the County Road number, this thing needs lots of work

Visually better, but still not great. I appreciate the visually style updates it’s received over time, finally looks clean and modern enough to not offend. My real issue now are the horrid audio cues. “Turn left onto the rotary” - where to the what now?! You are entering a traffic circle and taking the third exit - all of which are rights. “Turn left in 300 yards” - how about turn left at the stop light. These issues outweigh any improvements. Apple Maps and Google Maps can be rough, but natural language directions are best in class. TomTom is sticking to some early 2000’s level instruction. Still no way to say you are in an EV and prioritize charge stations over gas stations. Lots of little annoyances make it not worth a subscription.

Great features. I have used many different GPS programs for work. This one has most of the best features in one app. If there was one, wish I would ask for the ability to choose my route, rather than having it chose for me based on my trip preferences. Basically what I’d like, is to have the fastest option, the most feel, efficient option, and the shortest option given to me before I set out on a trip. other than that, I am very happy with this this one.

Perfect for junctions, but some weakness. This app have an outstanding junction view that enables automatically sometimes. Is also fast to render on screen! The only weakness is for search for places, besides good for gas stations and groceries, it lacks information for other places if you dont have the correct address. Like last week looking for a USPS, it sends me first for an abandoned place and after try again to a USPS administrative place, so I end up with no day time to post a mail this day. Google is way better to find places and time open. But I am still using tomtom as first choice.

Product has issues. In the latest versions I can’t find addresses in Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. For example when I type in my home address it cannot find it anymore. If can find similarly named roads in other cities. If it was just me I would reinstall. My brother has similar issues. What I can conclude is that TomTom needs to invest more in testing this product before releasing updates. What makes it worst is that the failure happened whilst I was on holiday abroad. Luckily my car has its own built in sat nav or I would have been lost.

Needs Work. I really wanted to give this app a top rating but I can’t. Unlike prior versions, the current version of this app when used with Apple CarPlay is way too unstable. It often freezes and requires a restart while driving which is annoying and sometimes very difficult to do safely. No other CarPlay navigation app I have ever used has frozen even once. Also, a strength of this app had been its ability to guide to an alternate route when traffic warrants. Several versions ago they got rid of this and replaced it with a green line on the screen showing a faster route but without the audio guidance. This requires the driver to study the screen, usually in heavy traffic, to figure out the alternative and follow it, a task that is often difficult and dangerous while driving, making this feature useless. There is a lot to like in this app but tomtom has a lot of work to do to get it to top tier. Team tomtom I have already tried deleting and reinstalling with phone reset. I am using an iPhone 7 with iOS 14.7.1. What is the timetable for getting this fixed? Also, what about my second point regarding rerouting enroute due to traffic? Is there any intention and timeframe to fix this?

Love the app. Like most everyone out there I’ve used all other major driving apps, this one is the best hands down, from audible alerts to lack of distractions….I’ve never been a fan of hitting buttons to alert or where every Dunkin’ donut is in my area, just need directions and TomTom does it well!!! Only have two complaints…. Please give the street maps a little more contrast, I like to be able to see how many streets I need to pass before I make a turn, probably just a personal habit but when I’m sitting at a light on a different route I don’t want to be looking at street names, a quick glance at the map could give you a quick ballpark idea of how many blocks before one needs to turn. The only other issue is exit names when driving on a highway, other apps do a much better job of matching what the exit names as displayed on the road signs, this makes it easier to know you’re taking the correct one. TomTom is more generic and doesn’t quite match so if I was driving on a new road I would probably use a different app because don’t want to get rear ended trying to second guess if I’m taking the correct exit.

Free Trial. I downloaded the app via IOS 17 but unfortunately it doesn’t provide the option for the free trial. I had this app in my Dodge Ram truck and it worked flawlessly. I now own a Jeep Grand Cherokee and it doesn’t provide navigation. I would like to utilize it on CarPlay. I think it’s one of the best performing navigation app. It provides all the options for a safe journey to your destination.

Worst I’ve tried. I think I’ve tried every navigation system that is ever been available. I have to say that this one was absolutely the worst. I went ahead and signed up for the trial, because I wanted to see if maybe it was worth paying the money, if it was that good as an app! However, the first thing I found in firing it up, was that the maps look faded and hard to read. I installed it on an iPad but it doesn’t size to the iPad without just doubling it. that’s not that big of a deal since I normally would be using it on my phone, but I still found it interesting. But most profoundly, I live on a cliff and the navigation starts down at the bottom of the cliff where there’s a road, and navigates me to where I want to go from there, except that I’m not down there. I fired up a couple other navigation apps to make sure that it wasn’t a problem with the GPS correctly identifying where I was. But they all did it correctly. I went back to TomTom and it still showed my current location at the bottom of the cliff. Extremely disappointing. And hard to read. there were a number of other features I was looking to see if it had, but it was lacking features available on other platforms. And for them to be charging as much as they are, I would’ve expected a MUCH better application.

Good program. I use other map apps but they need to be connected to the internet, and I am in areas with no Internet access so they don’t work or take forever to load. I set this app to route just from my downloaded maps and it gives me directions immediately without being on the internet. Exactly what I needed!

Best Navigation App Out There. I’ve been a TomTom user ever since it was available on the 3GS. I even had GPS dock. I’ve used it in Canada, US and several Caribbean countries and it has never let me down. I love the micro map updates instead of the multi GB updates but which it would automatically download. Every time I open the app there is a map update waiting for me must manually initiate. Should be an option to auto update upon opening with pre-approval options via cellular and wi-fi. CarPlay could use some work. You can only do about 1/2 the things via CarPlay still need to use the phone most of the time. Was disappointed when annual subscription’s started but I get it. I also miss the option to update the speed limits. Keep up the great work.

Simple, dependable and easy to use. TomTom is easy to use. The interface is very user intuitive and it allows me to use maps where and there are no cellular signals. The UI is more focused on navigation assistance then both Apple Maps and Google maps, providing key detailed like speed limits and traffic camera alerts. It reminds me of the old days when using dedicated navigation hardware. The software is great for national parks where there typically are no cellular services. The subscription cost is reasonable.

I wish tomtom was better than waze!. Tomtom is just not on the level of waze maps. Probably because the traffic is not as live and there aren’t as many users using tomtom as their are waze. I hate how you have to download the maps. I don’t have to do that on waze, google maps, or Apple Maps. Tomtom needs to do more to try to be #1. If tomtom wants to be the best maps they have to get a ahead. And to do that probably means creating new mapping technology before other mapping companies do. Good navigation but like I said I hate to have to download the maps. That takes up a lot of my phones storage!

Not for me. I had high hopes given that the app is a pay one and Tomtom has been around for a long time but it was disappointing. When navigating, the vehicle location shown in the app lags the voice by some distance and it got the name wrong on a major street into the subdivision where I live. The worst problem is that the app continually momentarily freezes and then jumps ahead to catch up. After watching that on a thirty mile driving trip it very quickly became really annoying. In other ways it is no better than the free Apple and Google map apps.

Why do I have to download the maps?. I downloaded TomTom for the free trial. I already know that I am not going to like it because I’ll have to download the entire United States in order to find destinations. I did a couple searches without downloading maps and the navigation couldn’t find the address. I thought this service was premium given the subscription price. Why use a paid app when there are so many free ones that have simple easy to use interfaces without having to download the maps. I can see where the feature would be handy in some states but it takes up too much room to download all 48 States. I will finish the free trial and probably stick to Google, Waze, Apple Maps.

So I like it but……. I have tried all the mapping apps and it is definitely a good try, but it does not register as a mapping app apparently so when some one sends you an address or you see an address you click on it every other app pops in the list to go to but not TOMTOM. You have to copy and paste so frequently I just use Apple Maps which is ok and gives me traffic cameras and some times is as good but has no offline maps. I want the option to avoid traffic cameras. I believe apple actually licensed TomTom maps

Love it but has some issues. I use it for my daily drive and I love it but there are some basic issues that need to be fixed. Recent update has affected the search function. It is not possible to search using suburb names. There are some map issues such as wrong location of POIs such as hospitals and shops which needs to be fixed. There is no option to report such errors from the app. The speed limit tolerance cannot be set. we should be able to get an alert exactly at speed limit not after crossing the limit. when on free drive mode ( No route navigation selected) the map always points to north as default. It is better to point it to the driving direction. There is no option to select it as default.

Live update. Where has live traffic up date gone, I have used this app for years and it used to tell me when there was a traffic delay. It has stopped working recently and become annoying in peak hour traffic. Please fix this issue, I have tried all internet and message boards fixes.

Great GPS App. I did a comparison between google maps and Waze and I am really happy to say that this app is now my go to navigator and is definitely worth the money and I’ve gone through a LOT of GPS devices and gps apps. It helps me get to job sites for work much quicker then said devices and apps. Toll avoidance could use a bit of work and I’m still waiting on proper iPad support, other then that I can’t really find any issues with it. Which is great the the fact I have the option to only pay $6 a month is even better. I may end up going for a yearly subscription very soon as well. Great app. I did write a review before on this app basically requesting iPad support but I’ve decided to edit it with an actual review. I know it’s most likely been buried by other reviews, heh. I also noticed that this app has recorded voices and not just computer TTS voices. If your going to download more voices for this app I suggest using the James voice. You’ll get a bit of a kick out of it and people who have been in my car with this running have also gotten a kick out of it.

Pretty good, but…. I’ve recently switched over to using this app through CarPlay in my car - prior to this I’ve used a TomTom SatNav and have been very happy with it. My last device stopped working a couple of months ago and customer service suggested several things to get it working but to no avail, so have had to download this app instead. I was going to purchase another SatNav but I understand TomTom don’t service Australia any longer, and I can only purchase one online. What is really annoying is not being able to add voices anymore - I had John Cleese on my SatNav Go 520 (which was a chargeable addition) but I can’t have his voice transferred to this app - it was successfully transferred from my second SatNav to my latest device, so why not this app too?

Great App BUT. I downloaded the app and trialed it for a few days, although the app was great I only gave it 3 stars. The reason for that was that it did not have any connection to my Apple Watch. Although I have great long vision for driving without glasses, looking at a small screen on the phone to see when the next turn is does cause me issues, so being warned say by vibration from my watch would be great as it does using maps. If TomTom come out with some Apple Watch interaction on a later release I will be then using it. Keep developing TomTom.

This is now a Trash app. Compared to the shine it had in the original version, this app has now turned out to a trash app. Looks like the developers have lost their way in the wilderness and they themselves need a navigation app to get them back on track. For those users who still have access to the original app, please continue using it or as long as you can. Fortunately, the old app still works on iOS 14 but it might die if the developers don’t revive it with updates and new map data.

On the phone is great but…. It is illegal to use the phone whilst driving and whilst I can use apple car play with a cable in the Volvo let’s face it I won’t be plugged in every time I go somewhere. The app isn’t available in the google play store in the car which is disappointing because I used it all the time in my Renault where it was built in.

Great App. We are currently driving from Qld to WA and find this App to be excellent. It is very accurate and we love the way it shows fuel stops and road works on the side bar. Would be perfect if it would show rest areas as well. Could not be happier with this app, especially with the price. Ended up putting my Navman away and use this all the time. It is very accurate finding free camps on WikiCamps as well and gives you plenty of warning when to turn off the road.

Very frustrating Traffic doesn’t work. DO NOT BUY UNTIL TRAFFIC FIXED ON 4G. I have been using TomTom devices for over a decade and thought I would try the app. Big Mistake. Problem is that the traffic and MyDrive services fail to work on 4G. They initiate on wifi fine. Then stops working after a few minutes on 4G. I might as well use Google Maps. No speed cameras. No traffic congestion. Tried resetting everything. No change. I know it is a known issue as the help forum has it captured for well over a year. Please fix it. Or I will cancel my subscription.

Speed warning not working. I have been using GO for a while now. Great app. One of the things I really like is the speed warning. At the moment this is not working. Also many of the 40 kmh zones are not coming up. I have just RE downloaded the app to see if that helps. One week later and still no response. App is useless to me without a speed warning function. It’s the only reason I pay to use a GPS. It’s a free service otherwise. I think it’s fixed now.

Unreliable Navigation App. Being an original Tom Tom client and now Tom Tom Go client, I'm finding the new Go app directions very unreliable. I recently went on a trip to Dubbo, Australia, and when inland the app on 3 occasions tried to direct me off and away from the main & shortest thoroughfare - thank goodness for traffic signs. On my return journey from Mudgee, after pressing the inputted "Home" tab, it sent me along the fatherest route, rather than the shortest route, incurring an extra 130 plus km, plus an additional 1hr 40 minutes of driving, than what should have been the shortest route, coupled with 3 completely unnecessary toll charges and running costs. This is not the first experience of wrong directions being given by the app, for in the past I've had similar unreliable experiences. Never had these issues with the original Tom Tom App, only Tom Tom Go. Reliability is an essential part of all navigation apps, unfortunately my experience with Go has not been reliable, nor pleasant, the developers really need to get their act and the Go app act together. As an additional issue, you cannot find any direct contact details on the Tom Tom Web site to talk with anyone or make a complaint, just a run around, very very disappointing.

…THE Best GPS…. Been with TomTom for years now. Had one of their regular GPS years ago then signed up for their app when that became established. The app is just awesome. Maps are constantly updating which is great. Gives all the info needed including traffic. It really is well worth the dollars.

Why Tom Tom is the best. After over 20 years using my Tom Tom, I have been super impressed with all of the features. Maps are very up to date and I can’t recall ever being mis-led to any destination. From the early days using a Tom Tom navigator to now being on my phone, I have travelled the length & breadth of Australia, and it has never missed a beat. Thank you. Paul R.

Map position is not accurate. The car position in relation to what is shown on the map and turn by turn instruction is not accurate or slow to react (e.g. the turn is coming out at 200m away, but the map is still showing that the car is 700m away from the turn). Sometimes the GPS positioning could go haywire when there are many lanes on the same piece of road.

Very happy. But speed zones should be larger as they are quite small. It would be good if the whole screen would change colour when over speed limit as this would be easily seen with peripheral vision.

Needle in a haystack! Just got worse…. I live in a southern suburb of Wollongong but this has my address as Wollongong = strike one. I work in Ingleburn (very western suburb of Sydney) but this lists it as Sydney = strike two. Tried it for my local Bunnings store (Shellharbour) but as with my suburb, it lists it as Wollongong! So three addresses (which if I didn’t know) I would never find because for some insane reason TomTom generalises the location? With GPS I need accurate information...... Unlikely to continue past free trial which is a shame as I like the lane guidance. Update- gave it another crack and the online search suggestion does improve it. HOWEVER I CANNOT CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION?? The option does not appear in its regular spot in subscription management?? BEWARE. Not sure what i can do here.

Problem fixed!!!. Hopefully this review helps someone! I upgraded my phone, had issues loading the TomTom application. I deleted the application all together (make sure you don’t cancel your subscription) Downloaded the app again & started from the beginning. Deleted, downloaded, rebooted, back to working again. Unfortunate hassle but hopefully this information works for someone out there experiencing issues!

Map Errors. Many errors in the map and locations. Otherwise it plans routes well and provides detailed information. You just have to put up with being navigated to the street of a POI and not to its actual position and often it will show you driving beside the motorway ????

Where is Street Name?. It is coming up to renewal for me and I’m still waiting for the street/road name to be shown when using Apple CarPlay. When will you be including this feature? The street name is shown on the phone but not on the Apple CarPlay screen! Here in Queensland it is a $1161 fine and 4 demirit points for using or, even touching, a mobile phone while driving. Please immediately get your programmers to show in Apple CarPlay the street/road name on which one is travelling. Surely it doesn’t require rocket science to include this absolutely necessary feature. I have just purchased the TomTom Go Navigation app for 12 months. The MAJOR deficiency is that in Apple CarPlay the name of the street/road that one is travelling on is NOT displayed. However, it is displayed on the iPhone app. Why one but not the other? I will probably not renew the subscription in 12 months time unless I can see in CarPlay the name of the street next to the speed limit sign and my current speed. Why can the TomTom programmers have these latter two items displayed but not the name of the street/road I am driving on? I consider the display of the street name to be an ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL in CarPlay.

Melbourne is a 3000km suburb. So there are no longer any suburbs in Victoria? Every street is in Melbourne with a different postcode Good way to encourage people to use google maps. Didn’t you move to a yearly subscription model? Great way not to renew I go an open the app today and there is amandatory map update and the app won’t function until it downloads. But it was working 2 days ago when used. What level of moron produces an app to be used when out, and requires mandatory updates and makes it unusable until they are complete? Maybe when you first install it, but after you have had it for 6 years.

Has great potential.. As at today, TomTom has nigh on impeccable coverage around Australia, and the core functions of the app (traffic, route-planning, guidance etc.) create an experience that is competently able to compete with Google Maps. Despite this, the app has potential for an even better experience, such as being able to customise the aesthetics, allowing for satellite imagery as the map, heavy-vehicle routing and iPad and Apple Watch support.

A Favourite That Changed. I was the one of the original TomTom users. I paid $80+ for the original app and it was worth it back then. The original colour scheme was wonderful, I wish you kept that or offered to us as a theme. Roads were bigger as well on the map, it was easy to see at a glance. Don’t fix what isn’t broken. Having bought multiple standalone TomTom GPS units and loving what you offered as a company has come to an end. You really should give the old users like us who bought the unlimited app the access to this new app without having to pay a subscription for it.

Disappointed. Although one of the better apps there are a couple of things I would like to be addressed 1 Have the option of adjusting when the speed alerts goes off eg 1km (find 5 is to much) At the present time I am using a speed alert app too. 2. Can hardly hear the warnings eg I don’t think it is safe to look at the screen continually

With more use I am understanding what this app does. I am to date happy with its performance.. Does this app only work if a destination and route are chose? I am looking for it to work in showing speed limits and alerts interactively without a destination. But without a destination it jams up goes nowhere. Having trialled the app can you tell me how to take out a subscription. This seems so hard

Cameras. Hi just a little issue with cameras when I travel through a red light camera it does warn me but when I travel back opposite direction towards the same camera it does not register the warning of that camera, in fact it’s not even showing up on the map.

Too many bugs.. Impossible to upgrade subscription to family plan. Reports “Item is being modified, try again later” but days or weeks later same response. Not possible to contact support via the app as it always times out. Not possible to report a problem via App Store as it reports I don’t have the Product! App Store shows I do and each year subscription fee is taken.

What is happening?. All of a sudden whenever I search an address it no longer shows the suburb, just my city name with every result. It shows the postcode but who can ever remember that and sometimes it’s caused me to travel to the wrong address. Bring back the suburb names! Update - thank you. Disabling online search worked so I can see suburbs again. Looking forward to the permanent fix. Other than this issue I love the app. The speedometer is a bit all over the place lately but don’t know if that’s a TomTom issue or not. Just wanted to mention it. Thanks again

Hero to Zero. I’m a professional driver and have been using Tom Tom Go for about 4 years. It was the best there was. Was. Early in 2020 they did an update and now when you search an address it shows the suburb as “Sydney” (in my case) .... if you don’t know the postcode and you’re searching for a common street name you’re stuffed. They said they were fixing it, but honestly folks have been complaining since the beginning of the year and they’ve done nothing. I kind of want a refund. I paid for something that will make my life easier and atm it’s not. It also started crashing at the beginning of the year and has been freezing on opening.

Speed alerts essential. The variable traffic conditions mean I always use the navigator even on my commute. I use Tom Tom because of speed alerts - I am sure it has saved me a fine or two.

App Purchase. I had a Tom Tom navigator device which was outdated, So I decided to get the App with the Annual subscription for my iPhone max xs . I’ve been using it often, it’s extremely user friendly, efficient to search up places with quick finds. Thank You Tom Tom for reliability and quality.

Used for 15 years love but few shortfalls. It’s a great gps but after almost 15 years can’t believe the following not addressed. 1) No option to auto update, it prompts you for a 10mb to a larger map update if you want on cellular. Honestly, this feature is from two decades ago, give people the option to auto update because it’s always out of date due to these forced manual updates. 2) I loved the original version, you could customise sounds to speed cameras, speed limit etc. So sad this feature was dropped. Overall it’s a solid gps but rarely updated with new features, about every 18 mos minor updates and few annoying items go ignored for over 10 years.

An app that just gets worse and worse. Started with TomTom Navigation app on very early iphone (possibly 4 with very early versions of iOS) and the dedicated sleeve accessory with built in speaker they released. Everything seemed to be ok until they changed over to this new app and iOS 15 came out - then the trouble started. App would constantly refuse to launch. Deleted and reinstalled - Nada. Several times - Nada. Then when it would work, Live Traffic and Speed Camera warnings which I pay for as part of my subscription (even after paying $99 for original version of app) STOPPED WORKING. Tried to get support. Might as well have been talking to a lump of snot. Absolutely useless support staff that don’t have a good grasp of english and seemed to be more interested in closing help desk tickets even though the problems I raised with them had not been solved. Sick to death of this app and the company behind it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT….you will only be disappointed and will face many hours of painful interactions with their support staff. Waste of time. Going to Waze or Apple Maps for now. Goodbye Tom Tom.

Tom Tom sometimes go. TomTom used to be the best navigation app going. Maps for life, regular updates, the first app to use lane and turn image assistance. Then they decided to rent you the app and not support their old app. The new subscription app worked pretty well at the start, but regional roads in Queensland are hopelessly inaccurate. Roads that have not changed in 100 years are fine, but road works, speed limit changes and new roads from the last 3-10 years just don’t seem to be updated. Add to that every time iOS gets an update or your subscription ends, once you pay your subscription you have to download all the maps again. I had 2 years of subscription, it was supposed to auto renew. I couldn’t figure out why no addresses would show up unless I was already in the suburb. I have since got another year of subscription. In the last 12 months every time I go to use the app, it’s useless and I have to download the maps again, hardly time saving if you have to wait 15 minutes before you can search for the address. I won’t be paying the next subscription. As I said at the start, TomTom used to be the best, look elsewhere these days Lloyd

Just tried IOS version in Australia - disappointing. Just installed trial version on my phone for navigation via CarPlay. Absolute fail. App works but: - speed limit on major freeway for first 25 minutes of my journey was completely wrong! Indicated 100 when posted speed limit is 80!! In a major city on a major road 🤷‍♂️. How could one trust this in an area where one is not familiar with speed limit changes? - No ability on app to report error - Speed cameras are consistently reported 40 meters further on than they actually are on that same major road (trip between Melbourne east and Geelong) - turn notifications 45km from intersection whilst correct are just annoying, but bearable. I was looking for a reliable alternative when out of cell/mobile coverage as I currently use Waze extensively. Regret the app failed a reasonable persons test I’m sad to see. Trial cancelled.

Why does the app take so long to load?. I was disappointed that dedicated TomTom GPS devices are no longer available in Australia and replaced my old device with this app on my phone. In many respects it is almost as good as a dedicated device. However, why does it sometimes take more than two minutes for the app to load? (Yes, I have timed it.). I have no other app that takes more than a small fraction of the time it takes this app to load. If it helps, the long load times I have noticed occurred when the network coverage was poor. However this app is surely supposed to work off line.

Subscription not worth it. You get the same features on Google map or Waze. Waze is much better option if u r concerned about speed cams and mobile camera. But no doubt the lane change interface looks a lot better on Tom Tom. You won’t be able to search for a place but just type in the exact restaurant. Overall I have been driving Uber and used TomTom for a week and would choose Waze over Tomtom

Not worth subscription. I recently subscribed for monthly plan. It was suggesting longer route to my work yesterday. Wrong speed limit and no fixed speed/red light camera warning in few places. One of the speed/red light camera was there since more than a decade. If this company wants my money then it seriously need to update their map. It is definitely not worth paying for map if you get google maps/waze for free.

Go TomTom. So have used for many years and it seems to work well. This is beneficial in Australia due to downloaded maps. The only criticism I have found thus far, is the lack of caravan support. Trucks has now been added but surprised no caravan as of yet. I always assumed cars and trailers/caravans would be a welcome addition before trucks. All in all, very good app 👍🏻

Was Once The Best.. Like many others I have used TomTom for many years. I have paid for lifetime subscriptions and then an ongoing subscriptions for up-to-date maps and most importantly Traffic. Traffic hasn’t worked on my device for around 3 months. It’s very frustrating considering I’m paying for the service but not receiving it. This function still will not work even after 2 updates from TomTom. I wish to continue to use TT but I don’t know how much longer I can put up with sitting in Traffic. I would also like a credit or refund of my subscription to compensate for the faulty product. Please fix the Traffic issues!

Why was I charged for subscription to Traffic that is not available? Please refund. It is well known that traffic is not available on iPhone due to a TomTom Go bug that has been there for many months. Why are you still charging subscription fees for this non-existent service? Please refund me and all other subscribers ASAP since the issue began and stop charging new fees until this is fixed. The app is pointless without traffic. Horrified that TomTom support, as at 7 Nov, are still telling people to reset their network, wiping out all VPN and other network settings on their phone, when it is KNOWN that is not going to fix the problem. Why expect users to set all that up again, to no avail. It is KNOWN the traffic issue is because TomTom Go app does not support 4G or 5G for the last year or so. It is irresponsible and greedy that TomTom are still charging people for the app and say that now they are “looking into it”. I expect a Full Refund of all the subscription fees I’ve paid since this issue started. Why do developers waste time creating new releases with new features when this most basic feature doesn’t work?. Get all your developers onto this problem and hold all enhancements until traffic is fixed.

Please reinstate ‘celebrity voices’. I relied on your predecessor Tom Tom navigation app for many years, and to amuse my children had downloaded Darth Vader’s voice. The children are now grown up and have their own cars, but I miss Darth Vader and his exhortations terribly! The new version has otherwise been excellent so far, but please oh please won’t you reinstate Darth Vader?

Better & more accurate traffic needed. I use the TomTom app in tandem with the WAZE app (free service) which has a lot of cool features then the TomTom app & WAZE seems to give more accurate traffic information, don’t get me wrong I prefer the TomTom layout but just want to be able to trust TomTom for trip information especially as a paid service, would also love to see more improvements with CarPlay especially to be able to report things like e.g. speed cameras, etc more easily. Thanks

Tom tom sync problem. Hii guys i have Tom Tom go professional 620 navigation and i am using in Australia and i have app as well , when i am recording the route in my navigation its not syncing at all with the app it routes which i recorded it should sync as well but its not and another if in this app you guys add the option for record the route like in which way Tom Tom navigation gps have and vehicle dimensions we can add then this app gonna be one the most selling app . Thanks

Traffic doesn’t work. The beauty of TOMTom is the traffic updates and route planning. It stopped working on my phone. Updated phone. Became intermittent. I ended up uninstalling and doing a factory reset and re-installing. Still stuffed. I have cancelled my subscription and after (I think around 20 years with TomTom I’m going elsewhere. The suggested solution (a network reset) didn’t work. Not that it would be expected to as a full factory reset hadn’t worked. GREAT NEWS - after the latest update traffic works!

Fraudulent use of credit card. Let the buyer beware! I used to be a lifeline TomTom customer until they recently started their fraudulent practices of abusing stored credit card details to subscribe customers to services they never subscribed to. In my case they took a once off purchase of 12 months of speed camera updates and then converted it to a recurring monthly subscription without my authorisation. This despite the terms of purchase not mentioning any conversion to a subscription. Then they refused to refund me saying I had benefited from this even though I had not connected my device up until the day I contested the transaction. I eventually found an email they sent me where they said they had decided to “upgrade me” to a subscription so I would never be out of date, proving the point of me never having agreed to this in the first place. Bunch of crooks. Never again is this company getting a cent from me as being able to trust a company with my credit card details is a must.

Not to be trusted.. You need to use this app either with local knowledge or check your route with a paper map/ street directory before the journey. I find it often tries to take you via some side road off the main highway. Some of these roads are far too narrow for caravans and or larger trailers and much much slower than highways. I have checked the ridiculous route this app tried to take me with WAZE and Google maps and they didn’t take me on the same roads. I’m the first to admit WAZE, Apple Maps and GMaps often take us on stupid journeys but they are free and at $30 a year subscription I’m afraid I won’t be renewing this one.

Crashing with CarPlay / No alerts. I have used TomTom products for over 20 years and bought this app to use with Apple CarPlay. The app often crashes and so does not load on my car or says update your subscription even if bought. The speed limits are wrong and worse than my Go520. You can not update these and the speed alert does not work. It is possible to get better products for Apple CarPlay and so this is a sad.

App crashing. The TomTom app is normally perfect and wouldn’t swap for any other navigation app. Since I upgraded to IOS 14.0.1 the app constantly crashes. Hopefully TomTom will release an update to rectify the issue. I have TomTom IOS version 2.3.1 installed on an IPhone 7 device. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling and the issue continued.

Utter trash.. Don’t waste your time. 5 times it took me to the wrong place. Not a live feed as such. Rd camera locations completely wrong, they’re for traffic going the other way. It’s beeps and dings more times than a church bell. It’s as basic a navigation app as you’ll get, only worse. Can’t input any data into it to make a true live feed. If you have Waze, don’t change to this. You’ll be super disappointed. And they charge you for this too! Not good.

No voice for navigation. Have tried untold options of settings and delete and download. It is just frustrating. No way to seek support from Tomtom. Spent many hours trying to solve both the Navigation voice and also to contact Tomtom. My suggestion is do not part with your funds as you will be as frustrated as me. I am on ios16.2 for iPhone 13. Have tried the website as sent to me from TomTom for seeking help but that is pathetic. Absolutely no way to request help from that website. Again do not waste your money because if you strike problems TomTom in no way will help.

I got robbed.... Paying $60 for an app that's supposed to last a lifetime then being forced to download a separate app because the lifetime (for me) was only 5 years is bad enough. Insulting me by giving me only 3 years of service because of my prior app purchase is even worse. Making the Go app interface so there's almost no similarity (or user friendly navigation) from the expensive paid original app topped it for me. I went from being a huge proponent of tomtom (and by proxy, my purchase) to telling everyone to stay away from anything tomtom and to get the same services offered for free by other popular apps. Hint: rhymes with shmoogle paps. Tomtom should be embarrassed, ashamed, and apologetic. Lifetime means just that. Changing the app and forcing change without appropriate compensation is extremely shady and we shouldn't have to stand for business practices like these. Until the law(s) can keep up with technology we are forced to being susceptible to getting ripped off by maneuvers such as these. Update: it’s still junk, stay away.

Est-ce que c’est compatible pour poids lourds ??. Est-ce que c’est compatible pour poids lourds ??

Missing most of Ontario. I live in Kingston Ontario, a city of over 130,000 people that doesn’t exist in TomTom’s Ontario Canada map. I even installed it twice to make sure I hadn’t done something wrong.

Tom Tom go.

Not a efficient app. Free map apps are far better then Tom Tom, app dint work in Florida even after downloading maps, always shows lengthy route compare to other free apps, will not buy this Tom Tom map again.

Scam. This app will rip off your money. They say it has a trial period in the beginning but they charged me 30 dollars anyway. I didn’t like the app and stopped using it but they took the money anyway. I did not agree to pay ! Such a rip off. Save yourself and don’t even click on it. I will file a complaint with Apple’s store

Bought the over 100$ CAD version. No suppoty. Cumbersome input. Bought the over 100$ CAD version. No suppoty. Cumbersome input . After I bought the " lifetime " unlimited maps, it became subscription based. Apple bought their technology and Maps is free. The developers asked me to contact them, without really having a contact method ( in Canada at least) The generic and contorted user pages on the website did not help me to contact, as requested. That's a belgian company. Funny enough, on the 10 yars old harsware I can update the maps, but It's a different era, screen and USB adaptor. Maybe, they will become( one can hope) less deceiving and honor the advertised on Apple store app. Without hiding behind ridiculous and lack of communication. Buyer beware. I was not.

Purchase. The world has flipped upside down lately. Economies & money are tightening daily. Monthly instalments are now more of a burden than ever. I personally own the 620 model & find its performance outstanding. I would definitely consider a one time payment ( $20.00-$35.00) much more tempting. It would be awesome to share the app amongst my Apple devices. Regards ...Dave

Pastor. Excellent GPS! I highly recommend it.

Stay away from this conpany. Be careful I have purchase a lifetime App as promised just being mambo jumbo tech web explanation and run away with my money and the App is not working any more and now to get a subscription to rip off more people. Stay away from this company.

Excellent et Merci !. Toujours à jour et fiable , merci 👍

What does Tomtom do better than the free GPS apps. With free GPS apps on my phone what does tomtom do better too justify the cost$

Why to pay every year ?. All Nav now you buy hardware and you’re done. Nav map updates are free forever. Especially there are many options now including google , Apple Maps etc. I am happy to pay 29.99 for one time but not every year. I understand you want to fund and make living but do other apps to have more revenues. Old days with maps are gone.

get lost, not reliable!!. I took the application to travel through Costa Rica, it took me through little streets with no name, to bring me to a closed road. It was telling me turn left” and it was a cliff at the left side. or no street at all. Finally, I get lost several times and have to ask the locals The map is not updated, difficult to set up, and not to much options in setting

Almost perfect. Negatives 1. Would be nice to pay one price instead of instalments 2. Would be nice to have more voices to download that repeats street names, etc. Positives 1. Download entire provinces and states unlike google. 2. When you go off course it adjusts its route quickly 3. Great visuals while driving. 4. Able to play music and have directions come through as well. 5. Having tell you about speed limits, cameras, etc are great touch. 6. Very accurate apps. One thing I’d like to see is ability in car play to use microphone to search designation instead of typing. Great job on this, my favourite guidance app. Thank you, worth the money.

Not updated. lots of places we can’t find exactly such a waste of money

JC. If the TRAFFIC LIGHTS and STOP SIGNS are added on all routings, crossing roads, highways, freeways, streets, roads and avenues will be much matching with Google Maps

Scam. I used to own the tomtom app in 2008 , paid 69:99 on app store. Eventually it stopped working , I now needed to subscribe! Bye bye tomtom!

No sound!. I have tried everything I can think of and have consulted the web, but cannot get my iPhone X to read out directions.

Good app for motorcyclists - could be better. I have only tried the free version so far. I think it’s a good app for motorcycle riders. The good: - lane indications are clear easy to understand at a glimpse - it refreshes quickly, route is snappy compared to google maps - offline maps saves phone battery - the route bar with upcoming gas stations on it is a game changer on a motorcycle.. no more stopping to search the next pit stop - the course to follow on the map is clear, quick to understand, free of distractions - you can choose the curvy roads as a preference, and exclude unpaved roads. What could be better: - more configuration for the interface visual aspects ( for example the street names are not easy to read, would love to be able to put all text on screen bigger, or have grayed area for contrast and the next street name over it) would be nice to be able to adjust text size, or on screen items placement a little (with my helmet on, the bottom of the screen it not that easy to see at a glimpse. - could have some Color profiles (not a must but would be nice) What would be a game changer: - include an option to have the weather maps on an overlay in there. I’d be paying this app AND a surplus for the gps features combined with weather maps. On a motorcycle I want to be able to avoid rain or see “you will hit a rainfall in 25 minutes on this course” so I can safely stop and put on my rain gear or wait at a coffee for the rain to pass. It would be phenomenal if I could select a course that avoids rain. Or just know where on my course the rain is gonna hit. Right now I have to juggle 2 different apps, stop at a gas station and interpret where the rainfalls are compared to my course, resume riding and hope for the best. 5 stars and take my money if you can implement this. Overall: I recommend the app

No map updates. I love the app but have not had any map updates in about four weeks. The new support system does not help and it seems impossible to ask a question to a live person.

TomTom Go app won’t open just displays an “Opps something went wrong!”.. I have downloaded the app and received the “Opps” message. Deleted app and re-downloaded it however get the same message. As a TomTom user for many years, it’s very frustrating when my previous TomTom device is too old to have maps updated.

Just another blood sucker. I had bought the app before they changed to a pay per use. Sure the app is free to download but then they hit you up for $$ before you can use it. I paid nearly 80$ for the stand alone app just for them to discontinue it and remove it from the App Store. I feel they stole my hard earned $$.

Cars only. No walking option.

Truck option still unavailable in version 3.8. Even if the information says ‘truck option now available’ This option still not available in this version on my IPhone

Free and force to subscribe. It seems this app is free but it force you to subscribe after downloading 500MB of map data

Not up to date. Save your money and use Waze instead. Purchase Tom Tom about two months ago. The issue is that it does not get updates with road closures etc. I was even directed to drive on one way streets that are reserve to buses and bicycles only. Very frustrating driving around in circles with this paid app.

Life time free Mapupdates. When I bought my Tom Tom that was the pitch. LITTLE did I know!

Forcing someone to do something they don’t want to isn’t a good thing. Forces you to do a 7 day trial to their $30 / year subscription. You can not skip this or decline it. You Have to accept the offer which will automatically start charging you after the 7 days. Why is it so difficult to get a decent working offline navigation app that actually works without paying loads of money for it?

Old lifetime App. I subscribed to your old app and bought lifetime for TOMTOM to decide they no longer wanted to offer that and I ended up spending money for TOMTOM TO DISCONTINUE IT and go this route. So be very wary of TOMTOM’s bait and switch plus so many other apps for free, why pay TOMTOM.

You have to pay for this?. With all the free GPS navigation maps out there, they have the nerve to charge for this!!! UNINSTALL!!!

Don’t install it. Don’t waste your precious data They are fooling They not even ask to try just ask for money to get free trial Don’t download it

WHY WE SHOULD PAY???. Google map , iPhone map, Waze this are all free and better then this tom tom why we should pay ????

Too expensive. This is too expensive

Can’t even use it. It takes forever to download BC map. I have a 1G wifi and it will take more than 10 minutes just to download the map without even allowing me to skip the process. This company should be dead long time ago and now they are developing this subpar product. Such a joke.

Not as good as Waze or google maps. I signed up for the 7 day trial. I entered my home location. Connected my iPhone to my Honda Civic airplay. Asked to go home but TomTom responded that I needed to enter my home location on my phone which I had already done. Next I put in a destination and started a test drive. The only solution TomTom had for going off course was to offer u turns. I noticed I was actually g directed to the highway. I didn’t want that. However there was no UI element to change route options to not use the highway. I started over and selected a route that did t use the highway. I ended up at a bridge that could not e crossed as it was under construction as it has been for the summer. I have cancelled my subscription and have uninstalled.

Subpar in Apple CarPlay. Adding a stop to the active route is clunky. Quite often the first recommendation is a place that you have to u-turn to reach (just show me what's ahead on the route). Once added the stop cannot be removed.

Bad design flaw. Highway names instead of numbers. City names instead of cardinal points.. TomTom uses the historical name of the highway instead of the number descriptor. For example TransCanada highway, instead of highway 40. This is inconsistent with all real life signage. Also, instead of using simple simple cardinal signs, highway 40 east, as indicated by the sign, it will use a random city eastbound, where I get tested on my geographical knowledge of the area when I am trying to make that split decision of which ramp to take. Why not keep it simple? Use highway numbers and use cardinal points! Who’s idiotic design idea was this? Also when I am driving the bubble showing the distance to my next way point should always show the next exit number or highway or intersection! Why show just a distance that doesn’t tell me what I need to look for until I get really close? Simple fixes, but in the meantime unusable software. Hard to understand these design choices.

No language option, really?. I like the app a lot, but giving it 3 stars as some on screen directions are in French (exit left for example) and there is no option in settings to change it. I only have units and not units and language like some manuals show.

Complete waste of money. Very limited map in Canada. It has even no map for Kitchener-Waterloo.

The user experience is not as expected!. The app doesn’t serve It's purpose how it can be used! It's tough to navigate through the app, the user experience is poor. It doesn’t have all the address on it like google map. typography colors icons all are outdated. It's definitely needs a redesign guys work on it!

Great app. Used it for my trip in the US and it worked perfectly. Upside: The speed real time speed is shown, easy to use and they show distance between each gas station or before traffic which is great on long trip. Downgrade: they don’t indicate the exit number only the name and you have to download each state you’ll be going through. Also not sure if it’s worth paying when google map is free. Would probably use it again for an other trip there if it’s cheaper for short periods or free!

Mispronunciation. Everything about this app is good EXEPT. The pronunciations of abbreviations. An example is Instead of Dr being DRIVE, Tom Tom says “Doctor road”, that’s not the only one. I have a old Tom Tom GPS that mounts to the windshield, that one pronounced everything fine. I’m not sure what’s up with this app.

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

Fooled Me Once. Several years ago I had bought ($$$$) the downloaded TomTom version with lifetime updates. Then they changed to this subscription model and stopped supporting the version I had, no more updates. I was not about to pay a subscription fee considering I had already paid a lot for the downloaded version. No more TomTom for me, even got rid of the TomTom GPS units I had for our other cars. I was a big fan until they did that, no more.

Poor Visibility. It got me where I needed to go. My problem is the visibility the information while driving. There isn’t enough contrast to see the text with a quick glance while driving. The text doesn’t stand out from the background. With Google Maps or Apple Map I can quickly glance at the screen and quickly read what I need, i.e. street names.

Best Navigation Apps than others. This app works nicely, when is the traffic it shows in app sidebar that no one other apps showing. It is good but need update for from contacts list address to find some time difficult. One more thing this apps for mirroring in car it shows like cinema scope display but it need full display. I have a car Honda Civic Sedan Se 2015 it has 7 inch display not Apple CarPlay so just mirroring

Plain Vanilla Map. I am disappointed about the lack of detail on the map. Needs more colours and company icons like BP, Mobil, CVS, etc. It helps when driving either looking for a landmark or a street if the GPS says make a Right at BP . Looking in my own neighbourhood and the categories listings I couldn’t believe how many mistakes I found. Businesses that never existed or went out of business. Restaurants down as hotels. Tom Tom it’s more like Dum Dum

Hard to see directions. Good voice navigation and clear map. But hard to see white on white text for the next turn. I would also love if TomTom added route number signs to next turn instructions. The next turn voiceover doesn’t always match up with the road number or interstate number.

arrival point. It is one of the best apps I have used but it needs to improve the arrival point, for example when it arrived at a place I don't know if it is to the left or to the right and I have to guess, the Apple Maps app has it as if you implement that would be the perfect application

I use for motorcycle riding. I’ve tried several different iPhone apps for motorcycle route mapping and like this one the best. I find it user friendly and the turn by turn commands work great with the Fodsports Bluetooth in my helmet.

Bad approach. Just installed. Before it would let me do anything I had to agree to a 30 day free trial before subscribing. If by that they mean I can use it for free for 30 days and then opt to subscribe but that services would end after 30 days if I didn’t subscribe. That’s another story. But here is the other thing. I’m always looking for a better gps app. But I don’t use gps frequently enough to justify a subscription. If it were a one time pay option I might consider it. But not subscribe.

Offline maps, with search ability.. Perfect for when you need to get somewhere and you have poor cell signal, or outages. For the annual price, you can’t go wrong. Maps are updated, no dealing with a separate gps device. your phone is your GPS, and utilizes carplay.

Truck GPS a lot of issues. I drive a tractor trailer, I mainly use trucker path but decided to try the truck GPS out. This GPS needs a lot of work and it really screwed me. Luckily nothing happened but it brought me down a truck restricted area and it took me a half hour to get backed up into traffic with assistance of others. I still gave it a shot in my car after that incident using it as a truck GPS and it still was bringing me down truck restricted roads. I paid for a month but it’s not worth it if it’s going to cause possible DOT violations and accidents. Please use with extreme caution.

Major Limitation. Route Bar! If your using this app with CarPlay, the Route Bar is missing. If this app were to display the bar when using it with CarPlay it would be a complete package. As it stands, save your money until TomTom developers complete this must have functionality. No Route Bar, NO THANKS! Referred to a Developer. Was already referred to a Developer back in August. Reminds me of a politician saying “referred to a Committee” or “Checks in the mail”? Dec 28,2020: Another month goes by. No “ROUTE BAR”? Dec 30th 2020: Cannot Recommend this app due to it’s lack features, ie Route Bar Information. Couple this with no possibility any future availability of this basic feature, no thanks. This application does have limited functionality but by no means would I recommend paying $ money for it. Wish I had known this prior to purchasing but as they say....”Fool me once shame on me.....”

Doesn’t work without data connection. What is the point to save maps on the phone? To have a reliable navigation without active data connection. In my case TomTom Go couldn’t even start without active connection. It will spin for a couple of minutes and later tell me that I don’t have an active subscription. The way it programmed that every time you start Tomtom it will check subscription status and then proceed. Any thoughts on this TomTom?

Free trial. WTH. So you want me to give you my card info to see if i use the app. If i choose to keep it you charge me. NO!! Free trial is trying the app for 7 days. If i like it i buy it. So for those who want to try it, you have to give your card up. Then run the hassle of canceling. So you get no actual free trial or test drive.

A solid app but dated UI. Overall still a useful app, though the UI is very dated (the AmiGO free version is much more modern) and there is no voice search of POIs which is critical while driving. I still love the route bar and the map, traffic and navigation in the US are good. I’m hoping since Apple Maps and other companies use TomTom services that this app will be updated.

App good but UAE maps very limited. Hello, I like the app, however in the United Arab Emirates the map is extremely limited. I’d like to use it more (have a subscription) however a more updated map (like Google Maps, Waze or even Apple Maps) would allow me to use it more.

Truck navigation. Thank you very much TomTom for adding truck navigation! Your software is great and I have been waiting for either TomTom, Garmin, or Rand mxcnally to do this in an app I already know your routes and software usability is great! Thanks again Now please make this usable on ipad tablet

Glutton for punishment. Decided to give us another try again new iPhone pro 13 still no sound on it!! I have everything turned up. I have even turned off my Bluetooth and wireless so that it would just reach through the cell towers and nothing when I hit the button that says go unlike my TomTom unit which will say starting route zero sound comes out of this app. Very frustrating

Useless!. Destination arrivals on wrong side of streets. Street names doesn’t show like garmin portable GPS and other navigation apps does. Apple Maps is far better for me and I also get red light camera notification and Apple Maps is much clearer in directions like telling you which light or stop sign to turn at. I give Apple Maps 10 stars compare to 1 star I you TomTom. Garmin and Apple Maps are my number one apps and devices to use.

Doesn't remember last valid position.. When starting the app to check a drive to somewhere it won't remember the last valid position. This means when I check the drive home from work it comes up as though I'm at home and shows a real short drive. Should always remember last position until it picks up satellites.

Family subscription does not work. I bought the family subscription which is visible as shared in my iCloud. It is also visible as shared app in the iCloud accounts of my family members. The app itself however keeps claiming there is no subscription. Utter waste of money. Update: Tomtom responded with a standard link to the Apple family sharing page. Utterly useless as I have set that up correctly and it is working for other apps. As indicated, the family subscription is visible, it just doesn’t take in the TomTom app.

Poor CarPlay integration. My wife has a vehicle with Tom Tom native navigation, and it works really well, even with the vehicles voice system. While I have Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze, I figured I’d download this on my iPhone, and use it via CarPlay I’m my Jeep. Unfortunately, there is no support for Siri voice input, and also no voice input via the screen. For me that’s a deal breaker. The one thing this app does well, is locating you on the Highway vs the access roads. Nice, but not so much better that I’d pay for this vs using Waze. If you don’t need to navigate out of cell service range, I’d suggest passing on this app. I’ll be deleting it.

Would like to try this.... Would like to try this app but it says my trial expired. I must have downloaded it years ago and forgotten. No doubt the app has changed a lot since then, added CarPlay compatibility and gotten generally better. I'm looking to replace another "offline maps" capable app that has gotten progressively worse. This looks promising and I'd like to see how it works with CarPlay. But without access to the trial version, there's no ability to do so.

Suggestion. It seems that the My Places syncing and the Map Updates checking only happens when you first open the app. It would be nice if these services occurred periodically while the app is left open. Usually I leave the app open and have to reopen in order to receive the map update notification or My Places sync.

Separate CarPlay config needed. I use this app exclusively via CarPlay. Each time loading the app in my car, I must manually select “3D, direction of travel.” IMHO, this should be the default CarPlay view. At the very least, I should have the option to select this configuration when using CarPlay. The fact this feature is not available or previously requested is kind of surprising. Especially for a paid service.

Annoying messages popping out in CarPlay. One month or so before a subscription renewal this app has to bug me every single day on the CarPlay screen to check my renewal status, this while completely locking up the carplay screen. This means opening the app on the phone and checking a stupid button. By the way, I have an automatic renewal so why the app is reminding this? Once this problem is fixed this is IMHO the best in class navigator.

EV Cars. When are you going to support EV cars with charging stations along route. This app is gonna be useless in a couple years without this so why not do it now. why do you not show in the instrument panel turn by turn like Apple Maps does a newer cars. It’s slow stuff like this why I may not keep this up on my phone. Apple Maps are free and it has all these features. they did all the hard work you just have to tap into it.

Better than apple or Google’s maps!. Way better routing and traffic as it uses state traffic data instead of crowd sourced one it however doesn’t have user reports of crashes or police but that’s something that I can live with.

It is a very good app.. I said it is very good, not great, I have owned a few of the TomTom navigation devices and one in dash navigation by Sony and I really liked those because of the colorful maps, this mobile version lacks some of the features on those devices and that is why I would only give four stars. Just FYI. I also own a Garmin in dash navigation by KENWOOD, I like TomTom better.

Truck roads. I am a 40-ton truck driver. I wanted to know if this program shows prohibited truck routes, bridges with low height and narrow roads?? I will be grateful if you answer me because I want to buy the annual subscription of this program. Thankful

No voice navigation. Currently (Nov 2021) it doesn’t load. I’ve been outside and waited for more than 14-20 minutes and it shows the title screen and loading . . . When it did work- No matter what settings I try I cannot get it to tell me which way to go. I don't hear any voice commands. For some reason the upgrades have soured things.

Needs to speak directions when the satellite radio is playing. Can not hear voice directions when the car radio is playing. The exits are in white writing and are very hard to see please change the color so you can see it better. Cannot get a map to download

Great app, great price.. Easily worth the 12$/yr to get updates and such, awesome to have the maps on my phone so cell service is not even needed which is a plus when traveling overseas. Do have but two complaints; 1) we really need more map color theme, the day one does not have enough contrast and the night one has the same problem. 2) if I don’t have a route planned I’d like to leave it up to I can see up common streets and point of interest. I also have a feature request, the ability up upload custom POIs via a CSV file.

Time Travel to 2002. Go ahead try to get a refund, I dare you. This app is pathetic in every way. It’s like a navigation app from 2002. Slow, lacking in features and hard to use. What really gets me is the app doesn’t function as the description here. It’s super slow and doesn’t have updated traffic information. How do I know this? Our DOT tweets traffic information and the app is way behind in getting it onto the app. No help in traffic trying to get to work. Definitely not worth the cost.

Excellent Navigation. Near about every time there was a complicated exchange, the map changed to a field of lanes that moved as we moved. Blue for the lanes we can drive and black for the lanes to be ignored. Really helps reassure you that you picked the correct lane. Excellent app.

Better Than Google. I wanted to see what gets me home from work the quickest and compared this with several others and found the routes to be quick and efficient compared with competitors . Great app so keep up the good work! I really like that traffic seems to be spot on

No iPad support. Disappointed this it’s not supported on the IPAD.. appears that it does not use the cloud to sync between my phone and the iPad.. easier to design a trip on IPAD and use the trip on my phone… Not easy to add stops in a route that is already created… needs more design work… Still not sure if is worth the subscription cost so i will probably cancel at some point and playing with it more…

Easy turn. I drive to many places during the day, so I don't remember where your app failed. When a road has several lines, it shows one long blue line. At a great distance from the store, it says arrived. The maps are updated. I bought your app only for 1 reason it has the following feature Easy turn by turn. But it works only for highways and partially in tunnels. I would really like it to work everywhere.

Does not allow me to cross state line in map??. Update from my earlier review. It was user error, it had nothing to do with the mapping. Used it on a 700 mile round-trip. I found it to be helpful. Downloading maps allows it to work even with no cell service. I’d like to see the color scheme changed, perhaps that would make it easier to read at a glance. I think annual subscription price is a good value.

I miss the standalone devices. So when connectivity is good the app has the best traffic navigation and lane guidance of them all. The app claims to work offline… this is only true if you start your navigation in an area you have access to data. But when you really need it, e.g lost in a foreign country without access to the the internet, and then you open the app, the app will claim that you do not have a subscription and will not even open because it cannot connect to verify your subscription. I am fully subscribed, paid up and very disappointed.

I really want to love this!!!!. TomTom! I have so many hang ups with Apple Car Play! The app will stop responding or ask for subscription when I have it and it is valid. I also think that the UI is a bit old especially with the looks of Apple Maps and Sygic, who I think is your main competitors for offline travels. Please work on this!

don't want to subscribe without testing the product. let me use it first, then ask for money. Why do I need it, after the free period, cancel the subscription?

Tom Tom vs Waze. I had a Tom Tom GPS years ago and loved it. I didn’t have to pay any monthly fees. It was Free. Years later when cell phones got popular I got to use Waze and it is also Free. Live updates too. I can’t see going back to Tom Tom and have to pay a monthly fee. I can get Waze for Free.

Terrible Maps. You pay them a subscription and the maps looks like something out of a 1980s Zelda video game, just no details on the maps. It shows major roads and highways, the rest is a guessing game. It gets an extra star because the offline functionality is pretty reliable, but it’s a trash interface and difficult to use in general.

Works well. I have been using this more often than I use google maps lately as I find the traffic and rerouting seems to work better. I just wish it was an open in option when clicking an address on a link or a calendar, right now my only options are Google maps, apple maps and wyze.

Destination Internet Search? Missing places.. Immediate pet peeve, many places can not be found upon search, they’ve been there for a few years. Why no LIVE INTERNET search in case the record doesn’t exist in the built-in maps database (if the device has access of course). An I missing something? Seems like a common feature for these apps to have now days.

Loved the app - but. We use this app for our business and now we understand that there isn’t an update available for an app we have paid for. I can plan on my desktop but it doesn’t send to the app. The app is not finding streets now. I would like someone to reach out to us on the updates or another app without having to pay again.

Best GPS hands down. It’s gives you better routes, and it’s much easier to follow the map directions without it having to speak them out loud and interrupting the music or conversation.

Poor long search, load wrong address from contacts,. Load the address from the contact, click OK and ... nothing. After a long search, they offered to rent a car, the chick filled out A, nothing but navigation to the selected address. After my review, I received a useless explanation from the developers that the search is not loading from contacts for some reason. Both Google Maps and Waze have no problem finding an address saved in a contact.

Needs speed limit on the screen. It appears that the only way to see a speed limit displayed is when you are going to a destination. I often do you not have a destination programmed and I find this to be a bit annoying. I downloaded this app specifically to display a speed limit knowing that Google and Apple Maps often do not display it. Consequently, not satisfied with this app.

Why can’t I lock the map / route north on top?. I like the maps and the interface but especially the ability to download maps for odd access when I don’t have cell service. However I guess I’m old-school from reading paper maps, I prefer having north on top! My daughter hates it and prefers the fixed icon at the bottom with top being direction of travel.
