SCAM, pay for VIP and get nothing!. First day of using this app. The force you to create a Sling/dish account to get a vip subscription with payment. Then logging back in the app it confirms that you have vip subscription on your profile page. Yet when you try to view any vip content it says you need to become a vip! What the hell! It would not work how many times i update, delete the app, or even use the computer to view content. Scammers! Terrible application. Liars and thieves. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THEIR APP !!! you will only get ripped for your money for nothing! Will be sued!

Performance issues, Poor customer experience. Performance issues every single time I use it, never was I able to finish episodes without it glitching at least twice, poor experience in the sense it glitches and you have to restart whatever you were on, casting, episode, movie whatever you need to restart. Poorer package choices, same rates for mobile and non Mobile subscription yet if you choose mobile you Cairo cast, upgrade then nothing happens and it’s the same cost!! So why the customer inconvenience, if it’s same cost, why the hassle and why the multiple subscription options with same price? Lastly on that, if there is such an option as Shahid Mobile it should not matter to you if I view on mobile or I cast from mobile, the main source is still mobile so it makes no sense to ask me to upgrade if I choose to cast not watch on the device, specially that it’s the same price!!! Finally, don’t offer a “contact us” button if you have no intention of ever responding to it. All you have are some good shows and you offer poor poor poor service for your cost. Value for money - none.

THE ADS!. So look,the ads are alot!like in 1 episode!But i love shahid so a 5 star for it,Do you ever know how to atleast put 3 ads only?!Like pls But mashallah this app is amazing because,All the good stuff like musalsal are there!when like people miss some episodes they can just download this app!but sadly the ads is kinda ruining it!well yeah ty for reading!💕

Worst app. Frequently asking you to subscribe even if you already have subscription. Only way to logout and login. Lately I’m in trip outside the country and when relying on it to watch downloads I was surprised that app not giving me the login option with partner as it does in the USA hence won’t be able to login and watch in my flight. Tried to reach the customer support through WhatsApp found it’s all automated and not letting me to get answers. App is so frustrating and inconvenient.

You have to call them if u want to cancel. We used to have the wee network here in the Middle East and unfortunately they moved it to shahid which I cannot stress how awful it is for a wrestling fan If u wanna watch the weekly shows / ppv on the same day good luck… and sometimes it’s only on Arabic commentary And if u think fine lll just watch it live… good luck with that to… the livestream on this app are the worst and very delayed on all devices And I can forgive all that and just delete the app and forget the experience but they won’t let me unsubscribe from the app I HAVE TO CALL THEM TO UNSUBSCRIBE which is hilarious and I don’t know how it’s legal In conclusion I have never wrote any review for any app since I owned and iPhone in 2012 even though I’ve seen worse apps but this just gets me for some reason and I strongly VERY STRONGLY would recommend subscribing or even downloading this app/service

The app. This app is really good. People say that it is bad but it is not. The bad part is that you have to pay money to watch it. We have had it for several months now and we share it with our family members in different states and areas. This has a lot of entertainments, kid friendly, comedy, thriller, horror, and romance. It has family things but really if I kept going on, this page would be very big. It is a very nice app. You can also get it in any language. I speak Arabic. And shahid was mainly made for Arabic but there is Chinese English, Spanish and more.

l get to watch Cristiano & discovered good shows. I’m in/from the USA and had never watched an Arabic show/movie until subscribing to this service. So I originally subscribed to this app to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play on his new team because this was the only way to watch him from the U.S. I figured I’d check out some of the Arabic shows/movies to get my monies worth. I don’t watch a lot of non-english language shows/movies because I have to read the screen. I so wish the U.S.A made it more important to learn other languages around the country like other countries do. Anyways, I digress. I started watching this show called Stiletto and I am hooked. Now I want to watch other shows and movies. I am so happy I learned of this new app.

Log in problems. I have problems log in my iPhone iPad and the app can’t even link the phone with Samsung TV. I am getting charged through iTunes while app doesn’t have updates for the last six months. The website has no links to sign in even if I use a different browser. It can only sign others who have sling or dish network. I have written to customer support and called them twice. They promised to fix the problem but nothing in effect. Hope you fix your website and the App as I can imagine many people liked it Thank you

Customer care isn’t of any help!. I keep getting a message they says, sorry, you have reached the maximum number of concurrent views. To watch, please cancel one of these views. I’m the only one watching and there are no other devices logged in! It says that for all my devices after a certain time at night. It is ridiculous because I paid for a yearly subscription and customer care respond just to repeat the same nonsense over and over. I really do love the app, but it needs a better customer support team. I will be cancelling my subscription.

Very slow to post an episode. There is this Turkish TV series that I watch on this app that’s called fareed everywhere across the world. The episodes has been uploaded except on this app. They’re very slow at posting episodes. Every once in a week, this Turkish series uploads a new episode, and this app says every week uploads a new episode, but this week didn’t upload any episode. And it’s good, but it glitches.

Good but glitches. The app is really good with some interesting programs, shows, and many other things! There are some few problems need to be fixed. First, it glitches, works while pausing it, stops when watching, hard to go back and forward on a video, kicks you out of it sometimes! Second, it doesn’t work when I connect my phone to a tv or a screen; just allows you to watch on your phone and tablet.. that’s all! Third, when you watch episodes there’s no history to go back to what episode you was watching; so you have to search it and keep strolling till you find it! Fourth, here in the US the amount of good things to watch is very limited and doesn’t deserve to pay $8.99 a month! Also it’s limited to specific languages too, for example there’s Bollywood movies but it’s funny that there’s no Hollywood movies! Finally, not sure if I’m going to continue my subscription but I’m pretty sure it needs too much work to satisfy users! I hope you will fix it soon (specially the glitches it’s very annoying)! It’s ok to try using it and understand what I’m talking about much better than just read the feedback and leave! Good luck!

Good content but bad interface,. The content is outstanding but the application has two major drawbacks, it is very slow in launching and the interface is totally confusing, it is full by a lists that is built to show the diversity of the content but it is actually repetitive and makes finding the content or continuity of watching a tough task, the interface is instead to be a well organized library it looks like a clown.

System need to be fixed. Am a member for at least two years now and I don’t know why there is no Arabic copy from all the Disney movies for kids specially that we live in USA and you guys use to carry it before , and it being weird recently am already logged in and keep asking me to subscribe! I thought something was wrong with my payment but it says am a member already and I can’t to use my account? It happened couple of time now I keep logging in and out and removing the app and downloading it again and I hope you can fixed it guys ? It not fair we keep paying you money and I can’t to watch any !!

Good Shows, Unreliable App. I am signed out of the service at least once a week and cannot sign in except through the website on a computer. The device does not continue your episodes from where you left off, especially if more than on user is watching on another device. Also, the controls to play next episode or ff/rew are only half displayed at the bottom of the screen. :(

Nice, but so much bugs and glitches. The app present a lot of local and foreign shows that makes it a really nice app that provides multiple tastes but the experience, specially in mobile phone is so bad there are so much glitches and bugs and every time i update the app i said this time there’re going to fix it, but they don’t actually i wish, it was like other streaming services apps like N*****X in the smoothness, so please and make it a smooth app simple app that can provide a better experience for arabic region

Bad experience. Be aware. I’ve been a customer since 2019 Lately, the service stopped working. And I needed help but the support was far worse than I expected. I contacted them foe two weeks and every email they assign me to a new person and no one NO ONE helped me. They refused to escalate the case to the technical support because I needed to screenshot + record a lot of things. I provided everything they asked me. Still, no help. They act like robots! I’m paying for no service technically. I’ll be deleting the app and cancel the subscription and I’ll never come back. I regret ever month I was subscribed with them. Pay the same amount for better services. This app is not worth the money, unless they fix the app from A to Z.

Quality issues. Very heavy compression levels on all the shows, you can clearly see pixilation even on the 4K shows. The audio is limited to Stereo and on most shows it just mono tracks. For the price it’s decent but not worth the renewal. I don’t believe they will reach Netflix level in terms of quality any time soon but at least they are starting. I encountered issues with subtitles not syncing correctly with the show. The UI is very glitching and needs improvement.

Very bad service i wish i saw people comments. Very bad service, it is almost scam i payed twice with different accounts and did not get any service for regular and VIP. Customer service is the worst i have seen ask agin to do step that we did hundreds of time and they do nothing instead of actively activate my accounts. I canceled subscriptions deleted accounts, ask my bank for refund and consider them as scam no service received. I Wish everyone read comments before use their service.

Be Aware!!! Not worth a single star.. This is by far the worst App out there. No site security whatsoever. Do not leave your credit cards or personal info stored on this site if you have to sign up for their services. Otherwise your risk major fraudulent charges on your account. The app is easily hacked on top of the worst customer service possible. I don’t understand how this is allowed to do business in the US or listed on the apple store. This obviously does not meet the least accepted business standards. Check your devices management and you’ll notice people connecting to your account even after changing passwords over and over again. And again the customer service is absolutely the worst - I won’t even call it customer service. It’s a shame the way a company of the size of MBC is running their business.

Worst application ever!!!!. How hard is it for a big network to develop a watch on demand app!!!! Specially when they charge as much as this!!! Worst application ever! I pay around $25 a month for my subscription and do not get nearly 10% worth of my money! The application is so inconsistent, slow, every time you hit rewind or forward the video pauses or crashes, its a nightmare to try to watch a series because it keeps freezing and every time you are done with an episode you have to quit the app and log in again and navigate through their stupid interface which is not user friendly at all, or the video would not play because all of the BS errors (errors are not consistent either) that you keep getting, I have to quit the app and relaunch more than 8 times to be able to watch the episode, once I am done with this series I will CANCEL my subscription big time!

Subscription issues. I bought the app twice and I still can’t use it! One account is locked because it says it has two many devices so I can’t access it so I paid another subscription using a different Apple ID since you can’t reach customer service! After paying a yearly subscription I can’t login with my account coz this account is linked to another account?! Then I deleted the app and reinstalled but still the same issues!I sent multiple complaints but no one contacted me! Please solve this issue ASAP

Don’t bother with a VIP account!. The idea behind having a platform to stream all kinds of shows (Mainly produced by MBC group) is fantastic. I believe at some point the development team behind the application has fallen very short to stay up to standards of basic technical aspects. I come from an IT background and I can tell you that the App is not stable and should not be released without an good testing phase. If you sign up with a VIP account, you think you would not be bombarded with ads, right? Well, no. During Ramadan (now) you are bombarded with ads for Talabat - like 4 ads one right after the other. Isn’t the point of being a paying member not to be bothered by ads showing up? Why is this not the case, and why only Talabat? Communication with any devicethat supports Chromecast (which almost all smart TVs have now) is very sketchy. The app keeps dropping you and needs to reconnect, especially right after the forced ads. Come on guys. You can do much better than this, I’m sure of it.

Can’t watch on iPad with a keyboard case anymore. Great job guys.. Every app update screws something up. Recently it made it so all of the status bar icons still show up when watching in full screen which is very annoying. The most recent update made it so you can only watch Shahid VIP on iPad in landscape mode if you rotate the device clockwise (camera bump on the bottom right). This is the opposite orientation of ALL of the iPad keyboard cases, so whatever you’re watching will be upside down unless you take the iPad off the keyboard case, shake it, and put it back. And as soon as you interact with the iPad, the screen flips upside down again. The app forces you to update the the very latest app version as soon as there is an update. So when the update has a serious glitch that makes the app unusable, you’re screwed. You can’t just stay on the previous version. They clearly don’t bother testing the app for five minutes before forcing everyone to update.

It suffers from some issues. This app contains a really good number of programs, series, shows and so on.. I think this app is most helpful for people who understand Arabic language since it has only few shows that support English language. I can give this app 2-3 stars since it still suffers from some issues. First, when I connected my phone to apple tv it immediately shows an error message and doesn’t let me connect it. Also, sometimes when I watch an episode, suddenly it kicks me out and takes long time to upload the episode again. Finally, If it allows me to connect my phone to Apple tv which is few, it doesn’t let me turn the mirror off or go back to the home page. Hope you able to fix these inconvenience issues ASAP

Login broke after recent updates. I’m not a big fan of this app anymore after the recent updates. I had VIP subscription through Sling and all of the sudden after the update I couldn’t login anymore and I couldn’t find anywhere in the app where I could login with Sling. I was then forced to create another account and use iTunes to sign up. After creating another account for some reason I have to login to the app every time I use it. Pretty annoyed. Fix it!!!

Failure to find my account. They failed to find my account after the application suddenly signed me out. Keep in mind I purchased the “VIP” package through iTunes. Just to find out my email address isn’t on their registry and that I have no subscription. Which begs the question, on what email address did they bill me then? If I provided the same email address on my iTunes that I essentially used to subscribe. Total rip off and waste of money and time. Yeah on more thing, their “team” is not capable of solving any problem especially mine given that their response was; “we cannot find any subscriptions on the email address you provided, please provide us with the correct email address”. Why would I provide you with the wrong email address, I dont get it. Poor service and poor application. Very displeased.

Too much ads. I love watching on shahid but there are too many ads, when I watch an episode there’s an ad 20 seconds, then I was like :it’s ok it’s only 20 seconds then another ad pops up after the last one like two in a row, then I’m half way in the episode another ad pops up I said it’s ok and the ads are pretty interesting then when the ad finish the episode went way back then I don’t know where I left the I want to find where I left then ANOTHER AD POPS UP IN THE MIDDLE OF ME TRYING TO FIND WHERE I LEFT OF. So the Shahid team please fix this. Mohammad alkuwari.

Glitches. This app is really good and you can watch majority of all the new Arabic series, movies and comedies. Up until a week ago I was able to watch the app on my tv connecting through Apple play. I connect to Apple play I open the app and click on the show I want to watch and all is does is circle to play and then disconnects. At first I thought it might be my phone, so I restarted it and still the same so then I tried different apps and they work. Would love to be able to watch the shows in the big screen instead of on my phone. Would also be great if they created an app to be downloaded and work on the smart TVs. Thank you and hope the glitch is fixed soon.

Application would not open the contacts. After I paid for subscription, I wasn’t be able to watch any of the Contant. I did it over and over for nothing you guys need to fix this problem please

Shahid For Apple TV. There is a persistent problem in the application “Apple TV version” , when I enter any movie or series, a message appears telling me that an error occurred!!! I have two Apple TV devices with different edition, and different network supplier, but the same problem !!. I tried to reset the networks restart the devices and the routers and modems, factory resetting the devices deleting the app and reinstalling. But the same problem !! My both devices are updated to the last version of iOS!

Weak. The application is really poor. Every time I try to save my personal information it does not save them. There is no way to change the method of payment to be through credit or debit card. When I first downloaded the app I choose to connect it to my iTunes but I changed my mind and I decided to pay using another method but there is no feature that enables me doing this directly from the app. When I press free trial it takes me to the packages available for subscription!! When I contacted the customer service through WhatsApp they asked me to delete the subscription from my iPhone settings and wait for 1 month to be able to change the method of payment 🧐 I deleted the app and then I downloaded it again but nothing is changing..

Need allot of work. I like the movies at this app and the episodes and everything you can watch in it, BUT other things like CUSTOMER SERVICE that they provide is Horrible, the help service on whatsapp is disaster they never reply to you at all and if they do it will take them not less than 1 day, second if you are watching something and you put it on hold and then resume, it will take forever to load, so you have to log out then log in, third I want to update my credit card information because I change my old one, the application wouldn’t accept the new one don’t know why, I have sent many messages to the help center and yet no one ever answered me till now !!

Bad and good sides. Shahid app is amazing for including a lot of great series but it has too many adds that really bother me and most of users like 20 ads on one episode? at the beginning I used to say it’s alright since the ads aren’t too long but now the shortest ad is 30 seconds and I get ads that one minute it’s so annoying and the ads doesn’t change I get the same ads the whole time 🙁, and I would like if the number of episode and the minute I stopped on get saved since it hard to remember when you see a lot series , thanks for your helping.

So you tried to make me pay for your service by bombarding me with ads, pathetic. Instead of making me watch the show with 1 or 2 ads nooo you gotta make them pop once every 5 minutes and they’re not skippable, well ok, not only you made me delete the up, but also show you how your idea of forcing people to pay is kinda cringe. All this because I wanted to watch one cringy show that happens to be on your mess of an app. Unstable, terrible, straight up garbage, I can’t even be a free user since your ads are all over the place. Pick a better business design.

Suspicious company practice!!!!. Update: July 2022 Now login in with “Shahid partners, DISH/Sling” have mysteriously disappeared from the iPad application altogether. Now you have to enroll and pay them, on top of your pay to Sling.🤯 Suspicious or Not? I have the Shahid VIP service through Sling. The latest Shahid VIP keeps logging me off about every week, (شاهد الحلقة الأولى مجانًا)and asks me to select a package to sign up for a service. And every week I have to exit the application and sign back in with the existing credentials, otherwise, I would’ve been signing up for a new package every time and paying numerous monthly fees. Sounds suspicious!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY A SCAM...!!!. How dare you call this a Movies/Series App.??? This was supposed to be top of the line application from MBC TV GROUP and it’s none but a TOTAL FAILURE & UTMOST SCAM I ever seen in my life. Shame on you MBC and shame on your CEO and President for calling this...” An innovative Arabic international App like never before...” This is a Total scam and Apple team MUST look into their deceptive offer and lies. I NEVER HAD ANYONE TO ADVICE ME ABOUT THIS APP.; however; I am HIGHLY ADVISING ALL NEW SUBSCRIBERS TO STAY AWAY. Please don’t take my word for it, you go ahead and see for yourself what I am talking about. I don’t know where should I start from to tell you about this scam!!!! Nothing works and it took me hours over the phone to speak with an incompetent agents to finally tell me that this App. Doesn’t work in the US. Go to Netflix and avoid this scam. You been warned!!

Was good but. Been using the app for over 4 years and my subscription expired 4 days ago without out any notification. I renewed my subscription instantly and since then have not been able to log back in. Customer support has been very slow and so far no solution in sight. Apple says I have a paid subscription for a full year yet when I log in it say I need to subscribe in order to watch.

Very Poor Customer Service/Non-Functional. During my free trial period, I emailed back and forth with a customer service representative for well over a week since the subtitles for a show were not working. This show was the only reason I subscribed to Shahid. Needless to say, even after a week the issue was not resolved and was not able to take advantage of the free trial period. When prompted with a request for another free trial (as it was clear I was having technical difficulties the entirety of my free trial) I was denied. I was told the only option was to make ANOTHER profile to receive the free trial. As inconvenient as that was, I made another account. I was charged for the “free trial” period. I emailed customer service yet again and was basically told “too bad”. Save your money, this company is clearly only interested in your money even when the service is not working. Very poor customer service experience and will be sharing this experience with other so they can steer clear.

App does not open up. I’m very disappointed, i used to love this app but not so much anymore. Every time I try to open up the app to watch a show or movie the app will not open up, sometimes I have to delete the app and re-download the app and then maybe it’ll open up for one episode but as soon as I exit out of the app and go back to open it again it fails and does not open up, I pay for my subscription every month for nothing, please fix this issue before I cancel soon

I don’t recommend. Disappointing. I was watching a show on Shahid and I got logged out. I tried to login again and couldn’t even after I changed my password. I have a subscription and it’s active so I don’t understand why all this is happening. I tried sending them a message. Then I saw their WhatsApp icon on the app. I thought wow great I can quickly get some help. DO NOT send that number anything. It’s just some automated line that sends you the same messages over and over none stop even after you opt out. I’ve never had such service. It’s so disappointing they take your money and don’t want to resolve your issue.

Please include option for homepage in English!. My grandmother is visiting from the Middle East and I would like to be able to play shows for her but I cannot understand the sections of the app because it is all in Arabic. Because I do not read or write Arabic I am having a very hard time using this great service! Also can this be compatible to stream via Apple TV??

Alot of glitches, and malfunctions. Not the to mention the daily glitches, but also i planned to watch the Barcelona vs real madrid supercopa de espana final on the SSC channel through shahid, and it decides to malfunction and not work on ANY device, from my tv to my ipad and iphone. there goes the first half of the game before i decide to stream it from somewhere else. Definitely don’t recommend to rely on for important sports game, despite me having the “sports” vip package

Absolutely useless. This app simply does not work. It is also a scam. You start vip series and guess what, the next day it is in the vip collection that requires a subscription. It offers a trial period. You try to subscribe, it tells you that you need to have a dish network or Sling TV account. WHY? You go to try to subscribe to either one of them. Dish Network, you cannot even create an account. Evidently, you have to be a Dish Network customer in the first place. Try Sling, it offers a bunch of US TV channels for free (happy hour). Anything else, you need to subscribe to one of their base packages blue or orange or both. Interestingly, Shahid vip is not listed. You Google it, you can find it on Sling. Long story short, Sling is also convoluted. Evidently, you need to subscribe to Sling orange or blue for $30/month and MAY BE you can add Shahid for $10/month. What a waste of time! What a rip off!!! I only need to subscribe to Shahid not sling or dish network. How difficult can that be? Try WatchIT (one stop shop). Unless Shahid can be available as a separate subscription, it is useless and absolutely a rip off.

So many glitches. The app bas good programs, but consumes more data than competitors. The downloads keeping pausing abruptly without notification & you may spend days trying to download a single episode Also the link between downloaded items and viewing while streaming is not recognized The app always messes up the episodes & so you always need to remember where you stopped watching because 9 out of 10 times the app has this incorrectly

They don’t bother replying to your issues. I messaged them on their 2 main social media accounts and they didn’t even bother to reply for almost a year now. If their service works for you then fine but I strongly suggest no one bother subscribing or even contact them if you have issues UPDATE AFTER THEIR REPLY: No my issue isn’t reinstall fixable and guess what? I already emailed you with so much details to this email you just shared and another email address from your website and no one replied for 2 weeks

Terrible update. New update is absolutely terrible. App glitches a lot and assumes that user is streaming from multiple devices when a notification pops up from another app. It also doesn’t go to the next episode or turn off when the user hasn’t touched the device in more than 3hrs, therefore draining battery. Last annoyance is that it takes 10min to load an episode with great wifi… all of these problems weren’t there in previous version. Please change back

Very poor customer services. The customer service using only email, no international free phone number or local number in USA. The customer service replied fast to your email problem without providing any solution to your problems. I use to have the app running perfectly on my Apple TV device, I try to update the application and it didn’t work so I deleted the application and try to reinstall. I couldn’t redownload the application. With more that 12 emails no actual solution was provided. I am very disappointed 😔

Good with some flaws. I’m a VIP user (subscribed through the website) but when I downloaded the application on my phone and logged in, it shows me as a free user. I reinstalled the app twice and still isn’t recognising me as a VIP user. However when I downloaded it on my Samsung smart TV, and I paired the device it worked. But the app still isn’t. I contacted customer support and got no response. Besides that, the selection of Arabic shows is good and especially during the month of Ramadan. The user interface is easy to use and follow and I like the lie stream option too.

Needs a lot of improvements. I see the concept of the app and its a great idea. But why dont u work on the improvements of the app and fixing glitches? Every time i stop an episode i have to close the whole app and start all over again .. every time i switch between apps and go back to shahid i have to close the app and start all over again ! Every time i wanna watch something where i left it i have to look where did i stop! I think you guys are just so lame when you see an income of something you stop working on it ! If you dont wanna be creative and hire professional people to fix it, I think you should at least copy Netflix or any other app .. but working this app is soooo frustrating!

Beyond the worse. As my reviews got always deleted for some reason, I have just updated the App again, and AGAIN Shahid has removed (Login with partner account) few months ago the only way for US customers to subscribe was through partner in US (in my case it’s Sling). Shahid team started to introduce App Store subscription and since then all plethora of problems started as if they are pushing away from partners accounts but in informal way, with this latest release the option to use the partner account isn’t even in the app. They did that multiple times before and the. They fix it few days later. It’s simply insane. And with regards to their technical support in a simple word USELESS.

Can’t watch on Apple TV. Would love to watch all the Arabic tv series, but can’t. As soon as I play it on Apple TV or a direct cable it doesn’t stop loading. I have watched a few tv series but very little because of this reason. Very disappointed. If it doesn’t fix I’ll be cancelling.

Freezing. The application keeps freezing if not fixed will move to Netflix.

Need improvements. The app itself is working mainly fine, minor glitches happen every now and then, but I can easily ignore them. My comments is regarding contents: - the number of new Egyptian series or movies is low or not updating regularly, since last month Ramadan, very few new Egyptian series have been added. - Also we are lacking the contents that are suitable to all family members (including kids), most of new Egyptian series are either horror or inappropriate for kids.. we miss these shows suitable for the whole family. - I am also requesting to increase the Egyptian library, as I assume it’s the most watched by most viewers. This library needs to have Egyptian latest movies, some talk shows, latest series, some of sport shows… and so on.. this will enrich and boost this app strongly.. The overall of my satisfaction is above average, but of course it can be excellent if you consider the suggestions in my review.

Bad customer service. I subscribed to Shahid Sports VIP and I did not know that it does not stream all football leagues. So I decided to unsubscribe after 3 days and I sent an email asking to cancel the Sports VIP and get a refund. The customer service staff replied only once and did not get bak to me since then. I sent multiple follow up emails and all I got is zero reply from their end. I am still waiting for my request to be handled till now. This is really terrible service.

Poor search tools and customer support. It’s very hard to find shows via AppleTV platform. You can’t use the search tool to type a shows name, as the search bar doesn’t work. Hard to access different seasons of a series too. Customer supports logs you out if you take longer than 2 minutes to type your reply and then you have to wait another 24hrs to join the waiting queue. The Struggle is real

Worst update ever!!!. Since the app got updated I can’t watch anything because it keeps on crashing and exiting me. Now the app wont even open! Website is no better as it keeps on reloading and the quality of the videos keep on changing! Please fix this ASAP or u will lose so many subscribers!!

Chromecast & Apple TV. In the description it says the app can now stream to Chromecast or Apple TV and I don’t know where this option is in the app on iOS!? I downloaded the app and subscribed for that exact reason but I am not able to have any luck knowing how to or figuring out how to stream.

Give us the option to add star rating for movies. It is very helpful to give the audience to write and add a review on the movies. This will help us to choose the best movies to watch and give the actors the rating they deserve.

So much potential / Apple TV. The app mostly works fine, when navigating or searching for shows etc Then just as you get comfy enough to hinge your favourite shows a constant stream of “Unknown error” occurs. I have not been able to watch more than 2 episodes of Arous Beirut in a row without having to restart the app multi times just to get back to where I was up to. It makes me want to delete the app and subscription all together. Please fix.

Bad application and bad service too. It just worked well on the first week and then I wasn’t able to cast my series on the TV. I’ve been sending messages and no one replies!! Very bad service and application! So disappointed! I’ll be cancelling if not fixed very soon!

Glitching and cancelation has now became a hassle. I’ve recently re subscribe and this app has become of poor standard . While I’m watching I get a pop up on the screen “every 10 minutes or so“ suggesting what shows/movies to watch and to get rid of the pop up I need to exit what I’m watching. Also the cancellation has become an issue, it won’t let you cancel from the app or the website ! You’ll need to call the “international line “ HUH !! (So far it’s a frustrating experience) hope to get these glitches fixed to leave a positive review) Cheers

Very bad app and service. A lot of glitches. The app keeps disconnecting with a message saying no internet connection! Every other device / app works fine with no issues whatsoever! For a platform like Shahid I was expecting something more reliable!

Not as promised. I have already Purchased this app. And payment is up to date , I am using my account for my phone and tv. Now I have a new tablet which I am not able to sign in on using my account, I have sent the help centre a few emails but no answer to any no help no support.

Disappointed. I was excited to see MBC group finally have their own app for phones & Apple TV’s , sadly realised their app for Apple TV doesn’t have any live MBC channels at all and their iPhone app only have few handful of MBC channels , none of the main MBC channels like MBC 2 , MBC Variety , MBC MAX , MBC Persia not available live via this app ! The program invest so much on the ads but doesn’t want to invest to place compatibility with Sony tv or to be found on google store which reflects carelessness for customers convenience more over incompetent developer is hired for developing such a big program with big budget and willingness to grow but poor management who can’t put the customers first nor the growth of the program Properly to compete with other big names in the field like Netflix and similar programs in the market that are easily available on any platform. Poor developer who can’t take things further!

Multiple users. I downloaded this app on iPhone to use with my sisters login unfortunately her login is a guest only login, I’m unable to access or finish any episode as it keeps disconnecting. Also I accidentally selected Arabic language and now I can’t revert to English. Not sure if the app for iPhone is reliable.

Worse app. Ever since the last update the app keeps telling me to get the 3 in 1 offer despite already have paid until December. I never logged out of my app and when i click the 3 in 1 offer for it to activate my account which is already active i get a message saying The receipt is already used by another customer but I'm the only one that uses my account i’ve emailed them and no response. Im paid up to December.

What happened to the cast option. I cannot cast to my tv there’s no cast option while all apps has it these days like Netflix for example. It will make it way better because i don’t want to watch on my phone this is a huge problem casting icon is what you need to work on asap.

Waste of money customer service is disgusting. Worst customer service ever called them up regarding having issues with my shows loading and they could not even assist. The works can’t even speak English properly. Kept trying to get rid of me first told me to respond to an email which I did, I never heard back so I called again got the same operator than she tried to get rid of me again and told me to chat to someone on WhatsApp which I did, who turned out to be a generated computer which was also no help what so ever so now I’ve cancelled my subscription. Better off streaming shows from the internet.

Can’t Connect to Tv. I hate how I can’t connect it to my Tv. My phone is up to date as well as my Tv. When I connect the app it shows up on my tv but when I open any video or show or the Live stream they have it cuts immediately!! there is something wrong with the video format itself on Shahid. Great content, but fails to stream to tv!. Every time we try to stream to our tv, it doesn’t work! All our devices and apps are up to date. This is very annoying considering it’s a paid app! Only way to stream is with connecting laptop with a hdmi cable to the tv. Please fix this to allow streaming or we will subscribe to another streaming service. Also would be great to have an English option for this app. While we love arabic entertainment, not all of us can read Arabic!

Put an effort!. Great app has all you want but a lot of downs. There’s no option that allows you to change to English. Some of the tv series can’t be played on tv, the app exits as soon as i try to connect. The home page doesn’t work. Keeps freezing. Mobile app keeps freezing and won’t play videos. Sometimes it would play with sound only and no picture. It would do this after successfully playing a couple of videos as if there is some kind of a limit on how many videos one can play in a day. Very frustrating

It doesn’t stream anything other than live. It doesn’t work with any devices it keeps dropping from airplay it won’t stream shows on AirPlay and if it dose it’s pixelated I tried all the troubleshooting they recommended I tried it with other tvs it’s let down I don’t recommend it at all

SCAM!!! Once you are subscribed, you can’t unsubscribe. I have been going back and forth for two months now with them to remove my card and stop charging it, and they are too slow and useless when responding. You need to call to have this canceled. I am subscribed to Netflix, Crave, Amazon, and Disney but have never had any issue when I need to cancel my subscription when not in use. This is SCAM! Still no Roku App. Roku is widely used in USA and Canada. Rotana Plus is already available on Roku but not MBC Shahid. Please do something.

Terrible App. This is app is simply terrible. It costs as much as Netflix and is nothing close. I payed twice for a subscription and it’s not working, everything is locked. It’s a scam! This is not the first time this happens. It would work on one device and not the other. You can have a subscription and then it suddenly doesn’t work. Save your money and or fet another app

Airplay not working !. Casting through airplay is impossible and when it works image is pixellised. I’ve seen the same problem reported in the comments and nobody from the dev team cares to solve it.

Last update screwed up AirPlay. The app looks modern and easy to search things but AirPlay is no longer works !

Terrible troubleshooting. My app could not play any shows. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, now I cannot login even though the password is correct and all other users confirm it. Shahid customer care sent me several emails- they asked for my device, iOS version, app version, but then they tell me to watch Shahid on a browser. Why ask for device information and then you don’t troubleshoot my specific issue? I want to use the app not a browser.

Subscribed but everything is still locked. I’ve been paying for Shahid for about 3 months with no issues; but once my subscription renewed for this month, everything became locked as if I didn’t pay. Idk why this happened bc I was still charged.

Subscription. Took forever to just cancel my subscription. They ask for unnecessary info, I told the agent the amount they deducted but still insisted on receiving a screenshot, and asked for last digits of the card even though it’s already included in the screenshot. All that through what’s app which took a bit of time. I still don’t understand why I can’t just cancel it through their website. And need to contact them and provide bank info, It would be fine if it were 1 thing, but no 4 things with a screenshot.

التطبيق لا يعمل بشكل جيد. التطبيق لا يعمل بشكل جيد، يتحتم علي اغلاق و فتح التطبيق اكثر من مرة حتى يتسنى لي مشاهدة حلقة و بعض الاحيان لا يفتح ابدا ! في الجهة المقابلة عند فتح تطبيق مثل اليوتيوب فإنه يعمل بشكل جيد اي ان المشكلة ليست من اتصال الانترنت. اتمنى معالجة المشكلة.

Bad customer service and subscription issues. Earlier this month I logged in one day and everything was locked in my account like I’m not subscribed, even though I paid the fee. Customer support take a long time to respond and they are not very helpful. Also the app doesn’t show you transaction history of your purchases! The tab is there but has always said “transaction history unavailable” and I’ve had the subscription for months. You also can’t check your payment cards available on the account or change the card if you need to.

Horrible app. I have a vip package and all of a sudden the shows are locked asking me to subscribe for a vip package which I already have. Tried to resubscribe thinking I could use another email but nothing it won’t even allow me to resubscribe. App claims to have sent a text message but got nothing, tried a different number and surprise surprise didn’t get a text either. Tried subscribing through the app and all it does is it times out before getting to the payment option. It’s as if they’re trying to make it impossible to subscribe. Ontop of that you have to call an intl number for customer service, it’s 2023 have you not heard of a toll free number? Whoever they have developing and updating their app should be fired immediately, you are an embarrassment.

Great app but missing one feature. This app is amazing if you enjoy Arabic programs and series. The picture and sound quality, especially with headphones, is excellent. However, it would be nice if there were an English translation option since I am not completely fluent in Arabic.

Continue watching issue. I cant remove any shows from continue watching that i started to watch then I didn’t like. Can add a delete or remove option

Very good contents, awful app!. I am using it mainly on Apple TV 4K 2021, the App is clunky, slow, and hangs very often, I have to restart my Apple TV to make it working if it hangs. My Apple TV is connected via Ethernet (no WiFi) and I have high speed internet connection. I don’t have this problem anywhere on other popular streaming Apps, like Netflix, Disney+, etc… It is sad that those awesome contents get buried behind an awful App.

Improvement required. Issues with Alshahid application: 1. I tried the app on my phone and iPad, I even tried creating a different account, however, it keeps signing me out, and sometime I cannot sign myself in again. 2. Alshahid withdrew my entire iTunes card credit without offering me a service. 3. It is very difficult to reach maintenance, additionally you have to call international if you live out of Saudi, UAE. Why not create a generic call center. 4. MBC is a huge company with great choice of Arabic shows and programs, why can’t they take the steps of Netflix or Wavo. I hope someone is reading my review because many are willing to pay for this service provided they start improving and become proactive with costumers.

BAD. I have bought the monthly subscription and paid it, i have the shahid vip subscription and it still wont work on my smart tv. Every time i click on one of shows that is labeled plus it never opens and it shows that i have to sub-scrip to view but am already have an account and paid for it!!!!!!!!!! the app works fine “but slow” on my phone, works also slow on laptop,

Don’t ever upgrade. Every time I’m doing upgrade for sport they deduct amount and then it will never be activated!!!! And you have to contact the customer service and the customer service will advice you to contact apple !!!! That’s really bad !!!!! Hire good IT developers !! Which can prevent this error from happening , this is not the first time !!! Don’t ever pay for upgrade ! Useless. Shame on you

Pathetic Service. On 24th April I highlighted an issue, that after I did Shahid plus sub, free content works fine but VIP content doesn’t. After they blamed the network, though I can’t see any relationship and proofed wrong sending them proof of same error regardless of different networks, they took no ownership and finally closed the complaint on 8th of May. No actual investigation done, no effort , and no contact or feedback.

Does not work well. Not sure if it’s an issue w the app in US but I subscribed through my Apple ID and paid for subscription but it only let me watch 1st episodes and then told me I have to join VIP subscription watch. I emailed support it took many times to get to a person to email me back. With not much progress so I canceled my subscription and deleted the app. I lost my money for my first month. I really hope they do fix this so they don’t lose any customers

Customer service,. They don’t help at all and I asked for the manager to call me it has be 3 days and the manager has called or fix my issue and I paid for the whole year and the canceled it after two months I tried calling and understanding them but they don’t make any sense I send them all the information that they asked for in the email and they still didn’t do anything for me their service is horrible.

Great app. One thing missing. I enjoy the quality of the app. tv shows and movies i hope to see some english subtitles on the older season of shows / movies in the future updates :)

Great changes. I wrote a bad review before because it was honestly terrible and everything wasn't working but now that they launched the new update I can use it on my tv and works perfectly great. Thank you for hearing out and changing it it couldn't be more perfect now. Thank you

Your Updates Doesn’t Help!. The app was working fine ( even though some of the tv shows and movies don’t play) but I was fine with it. Until you updated the app, and everything fell apart, now the main screen (الرئيسية) doesn’t show, it’s literally a blank screen! Can’t you test the updates with virtual machines before launching them, MBC is not poor so you can at least test the updates before launching them and ruining the application!!!!

Beware impossible to cancel. App is ok but the business is shady. Basically once you subscribe. There is no way to cancel. The app acts like you can but then says you have to go online. Then you go online and it says you need to call. You try to call the phone goes nowhere. The. You email support and no one gets back to you. Either a scam or incompetence (more likely) just realize you are stuck unless you cancel you credit card.

Work on your glitches please. Shahid really got to work on its glitches and technical issues. This is not a free app and so we do expect a smoother experience than this. I don’t know how a huge channel like MBC can’t handle an application correctly. Sound issues are very common unfortunately. Content is good but how does that matter if we can’t even hear anything!

Stupid and useless. Its super stupid that there is no history of what we already watched.. or if there is 120 episode you have to pass by everything from the ending to find the first episode , or you can’t connect the tv or stream from Tv.. another thing, i found out that because my granma watch a lot of turkish series with her account now we cant find turkish drama section anymore, but with the other tv who’s not connected with any account we can still find the turkish drama ? Why ?

Problem in watching. When you are watching a série and you stop in the middle of an episode if you want to come back to it sometime there is a problem in the app it will take you to the previous episode this should be fixed

Unstable Apple TV support. April 2022. I must say the iPhone app is stable as a rock with no issues! Not the same can be said of the Apple TV app which always had weird connection issues requiring reinstalling it and signing in again and again. This has been going on for 2 years now. It is an app that’s hopelessly copying Netflix format (partners🤔) but failing miserably at delivering stable content. No real customer support exist so this app gets 1 star from me.

Almost good. The app is good, it’s looks like a famous streaming app. However, recommend to fix bugs that stop or close the app + enhance the search + Apple tv app needs to enhance in classification and search. Movies and series not playing. Thanks for the recent update that provided the ability to Airplay. But now when I click on some movies and series it doesn’t play. Please fix this!!!

Please follow the App Store instructions. I’ve been trying to delete my account for long time. The customer service keeps asking me for information not related to the request. I’ve submitted account termination request from the same account, so why you asking me about my bank account transactions information!!! For God sake! Just delete the account.

App keeps giving error. I paid for the yearly membership and it worked for 2 days then it logged me out with error everytime I try to login. Followed all the steps that the automated support system advised it did not work. When someone replies after 8-9 hours it’s in a time different zone and if you do not respond, they close theh conversation without solving anything. If it works, App is nice, but customer support is bad.

So many glitches. The app bas good programs, but consumes more data than competitors. The downloads keeping pausing abruptly without notification & you may spend days trying to download a single episode Also the link between downloaded items and viewing while streaming is not recognized The app always messes up the episodes & so you always need to remember where you stopped watching because 9 out of 10 times the app has this incorrectly

Too much issues without any fix. Update: There is another issue with AirPlay, it hangs a lot. Most of the time, it shows error and doesn’t play on Apple TV (3rd gen.) Any fix for that? The platform has a very good collection of contents, but the app on LG smart tvs not showing all marvel contents, nor the channels and some other good stuff, only available on my phone which is frustrating Also after each episode on my lg tv it shows that i have to subscribe so I have to remove the app from the tv and unlink it then redownload it and relink it again to watch the next episode which is just not satisfying at all Please you need to fix the app on lg tvs and provide us with an apple tv app too AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Slow slow. So this app is nice have a lot of shows but your app is super slow it needs a high internet and where I live there internet is only 100 mbp we don’t buy any other channels because we thought this would be great but sadly is slow takes long time to buffer fix this issue please or I will cancel it and my family member and friends too برنامج حلو بس كلششش بطئية

Glitches and poor customer support. I had the worst experience dealing with customer support to find out why the app was not working on my phone or to provide me with refund for that reason. I was patient with them for 2 months, and still was not able to have it fixed or to get full refund. And everytime you contact them, you start from scratch 🤦🏻‍♂️

Grey’s anatomy disappeared. Why is greys anatomy no longer on shahid? It was available last night and today when I checked, it was unavailable on all devices. Whenever I search for it, it says it has been either deleted, renamed, or moved somewhere else. Please sort this out and bring it back to shahid. This is very annoying. Everything else is available except Grey’s Anatomy and I need it. The platform is great in general and I have never experienced such thing. Thank you.

Alot of glitches, and malfunctions. Not the to mention the daily glitches, but also i planned to watch the Barcelona vs real madrid supercopa de espana final on the SSC channel through shahid, and it decides to malfunction and not work on ANY device, from my tv to my ipad and iphone. there goes the first half of the game before i decide to stream it from somewhere else. Definitely don’t recommend to rely on for important sports game, despite me having the “sports” vip package

Application full of bugs. This application is full of bugs, the streaming is bad, every time an advertisement comes up, the application crash after. Also when i try to air play it on my apple tv, it shows the advertisement, then the screen freezes... so i have to kill the app start it again ... thats happen over and over. The application is not smooth, and quite irritating

Not able to watch series with over 30 episodes. When I try to stream series over 30 episodes from my Samsung TV, i can only watch the last 30 episodes. For example “Ma Feyi” series has 60 episodes’ i am not able to stream 30-60, i can’t watch 1-30. Note this problem is only with Samsung TV app.

Unable to sign up!. I loved the app but it keeps disconnecting every 5 minutes and then it would just not let me go back to the episode and ask me to sign up. I tried to get the vip thing to get rid of the adds (which I thought was the reason it keeps disconnecting) but it won’t let me sign up unless i have “dish or sling” accounts which I'm not interested in getting so im deleting this app 2 days after. Very disappointed in their set up! I would’ve happily subscribed otherwise.

Bad just bad!. This is the worst streaming app I’ve ever used. I am a VIP member, every week and sometimes twice a week it either signs me out or it won’t sign me out but it tells me that you are not subscribed to the VIP subscription!! EVERY TIME I have to sign out and sign in again on both my phone and on my apple TV to be able to use my subscription! It is ridiculous don’t bother subscribing it’s just the most frustrating thing!

Not happy! 😠. I’m using Sling and I had the hole package (arabic channels with shahid plus) for $25 a month. The channels working fine but shahid only worked for 2 weeks and then when I try to login it says “invalid password and/email combination” I called sling, and after waiting in the phone for about 40min they said that I should contact with shahid (not sling). I tried to contact with shahid but couldn’t find a phone number, only email. After I emaild them they said that I should call Sling! 😡

App not working. Since yesterday the app stopped working. Tried logging in as I usually do through sling tv, and all it does is try to load. It’s very frustrating!!!!! I’ve been a customer for years. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but to no avail. I have to watch using the website and it’s not as good as the app.

Usual bad & unsatisfying MBC service. 1- I paid for VIP membership so I can watch whatever I want Ads-free!! This is not what we got. 2- you constantly changing the live channels order, and I can’t even reorder them based on whatever I want! So I have to go through a long list of stupid channels first. 3- Glitches and hanging is the only constant and stable feature you’re offering the users so far.

This app is great and it’s meant for Arabic shows not something similar to what Netflix offers. Ppl need to stop accusing EVERYONE from the Middle East of being copy-cats this app is meant for middle-easterners which is also why the app is called shahid which basically means watching

Terrible app. I have the VIP account but the app is terrible! Do not waste your time and money. The episodes do not load, so I only have access to a few episodes. Two episodes seem to give me the error that the episodes cannot be viewed in my region. For another series, it only shows me episodes 50 and above, without any episodes below 50. This is very frustrating and annoying. The app also crashes frequently. I have the latest app version.

Very poor service and not able to subscribe to VIP. I tried to subscribe to shahid VIP. I used my credit card and I was charged $0.08 and I wasn’t able to subscribe. I sent the customer service about my problem and they replied after 1 week asking for some information. I responded and now it is another week since I responded to them and I haven’t heard from them until now. They proved to have a terrible slow customer service.

Great rebranding but one issue. MBC group is catching with the rest of the streaming companies, but we need an essential option that should be there by default: watch history. I need to have quick access to what I have been watching so that I can pick up from where I left off.

Inconsistent service. I like the content shahid offers. I am a member through Sling. On a monthly basis my membership is discontinued by Shahid & I don’t know why. No option to sign up again through the app, since originally I sign up through Sling. So I have to delete both apps then download Again & sign up to Shahid through Sling. It gets tiring after a while. meanwhile I am paying Sling for that service. Whoever manages that app needs to step it up.

Tottaly non competent application failure in every details. I cant believe it from mbc group to introduce such non competent app., not sync. Perfect with chromcast - slow login - every time time making my list it is not saved across devices and even in the same device- Taking a money based service should be optimum not just to collect millions $ only The big problem that i found many users complaining of different issues here in feedback and giving bad rating, however developers did not improve anything .....!!!! Sorry for saying this feedback but it is correct

Good app, latest version doesn’t connect over iPhone AirPlay!. I had no problem with the app before, worked great projecting on TV using Apple airplay. Latest app update broke the connection through AirPlay, all other apps still works with AirPlay! Please fix it asap

Bad really bad. You keep updating the app and it keep getting worst, it keeps crash all the time very slow, sometimes it logged me out with no reason and its hard to login back because the app is not working probably. Today is the 2/April/2020 and I wrote a comment 10 days ago about the app crashing, I still cant login as I am logged-in but it’s still saying that I need to login crazy right? is this what I am paying money for a non working app!!!

App works fine. I just started a vip subscription and the app has work flawlessly. I download episodes, and then connect with my appleTV device to watch on Samsung TV.

Canceled subscription. I canceled the subscription but I still should have access to the content, but it’s not allowing me to access the content, it’s asking me to join again. App doesn’t work. The app worked fine for few months. However after the last few updates, I can’t stream on TV. My words about this app.. This application is very bad because there are more than 20 advertisements in one episode, and there are also more than five advertisements in a row, and this will affect the reputation of the application, and if this thing does not stop, the Shahid application will be one of the worst applications for watching series, and you will remember my words one day.

Full of issues and glitches. The app is constantly buggy. I have it on iPhone, iPad and TV. If i watch on iPhone, it does not sync up with TV or iPad in the Continue Watching section so I have to remember where I left off. Super annoying. If I pause a show on iPad, it keeps iPad awake preventing it from going to sleep like all other streaming apps when you pause them.
