FileBrowser Professional Comments & Reviews 2026

Best file app in the store!. Developer is incredible! Very frequent updates and new features. Thankfully not a subscription model. Couldn’t be happier! Don’t think twice, buy and you will not regret it.

Great App!. I honestly don’t think i could praise this app enough. It’s a must-have for me! I have a NAS that holds 95% of my “stuff”, and getting it to the iPad for local use is a snap. There have been recent updates that have amazingly improved the interface, too. thanks to the devs at Stratospherics!

AD Auth No Problem. This works fine accessing file shares requiring Active Directory/Kerberos authentication. It’s a very capable application with plenty of features, and definitely the one to buy when you need, for example, to access a file share at work over a VPN using your AD credentials, hint hint. I wish it supported NFS, but that’s neither a complaint nor a feature request.

iOS Grows Up. I have an iPad Pro and it’s been frustrating how hobbled it is out of the box. This is what the Files app should be. I can edit Google Drive and Dropbox files in place. I can move files from Dropbox to my Time Machine. And it’s all inside an app that feels like it should come with iOS standard.

Best of the best. Interface, security, and options are what make this app a standout in its class. I bought this, and three other similar apps at the same time to try and solve my storage mess. After using all four, I can say this without a doubt is the most superior file browsing app on the market. I’ve tied in my iCloud, NAS, and four other cloud providers, which was kept me so much more organized than I’ve ever been before. Not to mention the time and multiple apps I’ve eliminated. The detail that went into every aspect of the app, the updates, and the developers website is truly exceptional. I even reached out to them via twitter, and the response was great. Can’t recommend this enough, thanks!

Top notch and a must for the iPad user. Works well, supports many different type files. About the only way it could be better is if it had a add on video plugin kit that would allow it to open specific video files without having to use other vendors app that sometimes crash. It would be a worthwhile addition I would as sure as many others would be willing to pay for. Anyway thanks for such a fantastic app probably the best one I bought for my iPad Pro.

iOS newbie here. This app is a dream.. I never leave reviews. I’m never that impressed. This app is different. It’s like a magical candy shop for file junkies. From my new (and yes, my first) iPad I can juggle data between my Windows shares, my DigitalOcean S3 bucket, my Linux laptop external drive, and my Mega folders. This is solid fun. And get this: no insane monthly subscriptions. Plays audio from folders (yay). Plays videos from S3 (a breeze). This app rocks for me. Your gigs may vary.

Highly Recommended. This app is exactly what we needed. We needed an app that we could access files via VPN and edit them in place and save them back to the same directory. It was easy to use and pefect for what we needed. I highly recommend this for iPad users working remotely or on the field.

Satisfactory, but with minor flaws.. I wish there was an option to set background color for image viewer. For some reason it would change from grey to black then to grey again, even during slideshow. Some UI elements in the settings are low res and look pixelated. Other than that, pretty good.

Makes the iPad much more useful. App does what it claims and makes the iPad much more useful for me in a business setting. I was easily able to connect to our LAN. and SharePoint sites to open PDF files, pass them to PDF Epert or Bluebeam Revu, mark them up with the Apple Pencil and save them back to their original location. This is exactly the workflow I was hoping to achieve with the iPad Pro. FB makes it possible.

Gold Standard Utility. This has been the most generally useful app for years. Now, with the ability to hide the menus in gallery view, FileBrowser is the gold standard for browsing graphics, too. 10/10

Does what Apple can’t (or won’t). Apple is great ..mostly. They make great hardware (except possibly the 2018 iPad pros and how fragile they are) but they are their own worst enemy sometimes. iOS is not a computer operating system and the iPad is not a computer replacement no matter how fast the a12x ship is...why? too many software limitations! If you’re not an apple sheep you know what I’m talking about. Well this app helps with some of that. It gets around some of those stupid restrictions about as well as you can.. like connecting to smb folder shares. It does an amazing job with that and quite a few other things. Tbh is not for this app, I would have returned my iPad long ago. Get it if you know what about which specific apple limitations I’m talking about and want to find a workaround. It’s the best at what it does — with less adamantium.

Latest version is garbage. Just upgraded to IOS 11 along with the latest version of this software, not sure what was done to FileBrowser for Business but it crashes almost every time I try to use it and the folder views are so big that only a couple can be displayed without scrolling unlike previous versions. If you are looking for a good file app, pass on this and keep looking, at least until they fix this garbage... and to think I bought this disappointing revision... bring back the old one!!

Needs improving. The major reason I purchased the app was Shortcut actions. It wasn’t clear to me that file operations only work on remote devices. I wouldn’t have purchased the app without shortcut actions for local files. There are a lot of good features in this app and I hope that that these issues will be addressed so I can improve this review.

Does not seem to work with latest version of Catalina.. I can connect and log into my iMac mid 2011, running High Sierra, but cannot with my new iMac December 2019 running latest Catalina. I understand Apple keeps moving forward, and developers have moving targets they must constantly adjust for. But FileBrowser is not the only tech I have that shows this problem. Yet no one seems to be acknowledging this or giving estimates as to when they will be fixing the problem. It is frustrating to handle the inconvenience. It is maddening to be kept in the dark.

Wow, I connected to my NAS and ALL cloud storage in 15min. Just like my title says, I connected to my local networked storage system, as well as Microsoft, one drive, dropbox, box, Google Drive, and my local networked PCs, all within about 15 to 20 minutes. So far the inner face seems intuitive. This really did work and that’s probably what matters to all of you. If you want to use your iPad, or iPhone to access all of your networks storage, other computers on your net, work, and cloud storage, this would seem to be the app that will do it for you, effortlessly! Just make sure you use a password manager, or know all of your passwords if you want to connect as fast as I did. If I encounter any difficulties down the road, I’ll try to remember to come back and update this review.

Life saver!. This app solves so many problems! • Moving files around your phone from any app or folder when no other onboard means is available. (No need to hop files from app to app to get them where you need them.) •The ability to create folders and organize a variety of file formats very easily. • CORRECTLY reflecting contents of network drives and moving files between those and your phone. • Making any file, from any app or drive, available to an iPhone flash drive. (Example - saving recorded GPS tracks to a flash drive, from the Gaia app, for Search Management to upload to their Search and Rescue software at base.) • Eliminating the need for that stupid iTunes app. But one has to ask... if FileBrowser Biz does all this so incredibly seamlessly, then why does Apple make it so hard/impossible to move anything around an iPhone and/or drives?!!

Filebrowser TV is only way to read PDFs on Apple TV. Filebrowser TV is a fantastic app. So is their regular FileBrowser Pro but I really wanted to comment on how great the Apple TV app is. You can access your computer seamlessly without any glitches and it allows many more file formats to be opened from there. Other Apple TV file apps only support photos and audio or video files, but FileBrowser TV supports many other types of files. It’s so cool to be able to have PDFs on the TV. I wanted to make a feature request in case the developers see this review: It would be fantastic to have access to cloud storage services in the Apple TV FileBrowser app the way the FileBrowser Pro app links to Dropbox, Google, PCloud, etc. Especially because FileBrowser TV offers more file formats to open, it would be nice to be able to open them from Dropbox, etc., too.

Updated Review. This is a great app. I had some issues with it, but those stemmed from not understanding some of the functionality. They could do a better job explaining some features like the USB iOS13 update. That said, I am updating my review as promised!

Extremely pleased after using past few months. I cant say this is the easiest product to learn but its not any harder to figure out than other complex productivity or utility apps. I've had to contact their Support a couple of time to ask how to do something and have had immediate responses, never robotic and always a person able to walk me through the steps. My husband and I both purchased the file browser app and installed it on our ipads and computers. We have a home network NAS we use to share our home management and joint files for things like heathcare, banking, tax returns, wills, vehicles, manuals, photos, etc. File browser gives us each the same access to all our NAS, Google and iCloud files. It keeps entire folders in sync on our local devices. Before I was aware of this product, we each struggled with the best way to ensure 100% file access between our individual accounts. This product resolved that!

Great App for Connecting to Files. This is a great App for connecting to lots of different kinds of external file systems and getting data on to or off from your iOS devices. It has some clever integration with the iOS Files App as well. My favorite trick is using the support for iXpand devices for some “sneakernet” action. Support is really good. They responded to my question the very next day.

I do artwork on IPad professionally & this has been a lifesaver. Convenient, fast, easy. I work as an illustrator from my iPad & often have to transfer files to my PC for final adjustments in Photoshop. I recently had to quickly turnaround a project of 150+pages, that would typically mean exporting each one individually to google drive/Dropbox/etc, waiting, downloading on my PC, waiting. Because this project was so big I knew it would take too long to work that way. After quick research I found FileBrowser for business and I don’t know why I didn’t get this app sooner. Such a game changer if you work across platforms like I do. It makes it so easy to transfer files instantaneously between my PC and iPad — it feels less like two separate entities and now more like two arms of the same entity. Can’t recommend this program enough.

I want to like this app.... I had really been impressed with and then it just stopped responding to all taps and is now 100% useless. It's really too bad because it had worked well then it JUST STOPPED WORKING. Reloading the app just made things worse. Now I can't use the app at all as if someone flicked a usability toggle. I feel ripped off and this app is like many others in terms of POOR QUALITY. That the app now pitches pCloud, a garbage service, tells me everything I need to know about the purveyor.

It does everything a file control app should do.. You can connect to networked servers. I am using SMB3 to a Ubuntu samba server and Synology NAS. It can find and display file specifications. You can use internal display apps for iOS file types, or link to external apps for unsupported files. It remembers your position in the directory structure, even after you close the file browser. I will try the backup feature at some point. If that works, I may raise the rating to 5.

Poor integration with File Browser. Having already created numerous folders using the basic File Browser app, the Pro version does not provide access to them. Instead it tells you to go to the iPad Files app to access them. Having neither time nor patience to figure out this bit of software design stupidity, I consider purchasing File Browser Pro to have been a waste of money and time. The basic version is more than sufficient for most users. Do not bother to buy this.

A great and reliable productivity tool.. I find the Files app on iPad to be lacking in so many ways. A progress status for instance when transferring files. Also, I have recently been backing up video files on an external hard drive and, nearly every time, a number of them are corrupted. I was almost giving up on the iPad until I tried FileBrowser for Business. Someone on Reddit recommended it and I’m glad I gave it a try. All of the files I have transferred using this app have done so without error and it’s great to be able to have confidence that I can backup my valuable files. The interface is a little quirky but, once you get used to the way it works, it just works and I don’t need to break out in a sweat.. Highly recommended.

Outstanding!. Wow I can’t believe this is not still not a subscription. I bought this a number of years ago. It is absolutely the best at what it does on iOS. Buy the PRO version to support the developers for goodness sake. I actually have both. This adds considerable functionality without undue complexity. It is kept up to date and still adds functionality. So best in class and outstanding support…seriously just buy it.

An Absolute Must for iPad Pro / Business Users. FileBrowser for Business is everything that’s missing plus a whole lot more when it comes to accessing files on servers, and doing all the basics like copying/moving files, up/downloading, editing text files, creating text files and folders - plus a whole lot more. The fact that it connects instantly and perfectly to servers and cloud services and allows such tremendous interoperability among all of them makes it the all-time MUST HAVE app if you routinely access/create/edit/copy/move files around on cloud and network servers. It lets you do everything even easier than on a PC or Mac connected to your external storage. It’s just great from the look and feel to the functionality and reliability. Hats off to this app and to the team behind it.

Great app that just keeps getting better!. I should have written this review before now, because this app has been very beneficial connecting to my desktop Macs in the last 2 years. Exchanging files back and forth with ease was the initial reason for purchasing it. Organizing files and connectivity is a breeze. This app is always updating with new features and fixes. I’ve been a Mac user for 3 plus decades and very much appreciate a company that is willing to support older OS X, MacOS or in this case FileBrowser for supporting older IOSs. I may need that latter support someday good to know it’s there.

I upgraded from Filebrowser to FB pro, totally worth it. I was very happy using Filebrowser with a paid subscription. I noticed that FileBrowser Pro offered me the ability to locally sync files to my iPhone and iPad so that would have access, even if it didn't have a network connection. I decided to upgrade for nominal fee. You can set up a full synchronization, or use it as a back up. It works flawlessly and it's fast. I then noticed the additional capability of writing custom scripts that can do a wide variety of tasks. These can be scheduled or you can run them manually. A couple of examples are provided. No programming language required. You simply pick which files and folders you want action taken on, select from the various actions, and it's done. You can do this across multiple clouds. The Pro version also offers quite a few more connectivity options than the standard product. I have to say one of the things that impresses me the most about stratospherix, the company that makes these products, is their support. If I report a bug, I almost always get a response within 24 hours. If there is a workaround, they will provide it. The fixes usually come out with additional enhancements on a regular basis. If you need an app that allows you to comprehensively manage files and folders, while never having to leave that app, you definitely want FileBrowser Pro. From my experience as a retired IT pro, it really is a best in class product for iOS.

The best just got better. This app was always brilliant, but the developers hit it out of the park with the latest version released today. Incredibly intuitive. Drag and drop, multiple tabs so you can go back and forth without digging through directories, a way to access multimedia files playing in the background; andI’m sure a lot of stuff I haven’t yet discovered. I use the app for file management via a NAS, Dropbox, iPad storage (provided by File Browser Business, etc. FB is my favorite iOS app, and it’s a centralized hub for me. Essentially it brings some PC-desktop organization and functionality to iOS. Big shout out to the developers. Great work!

Best File/Media browser for iOS. Continues to impress me with its rock solid capabilities & features not seen in other tools. Have tried most of them on the store for years. This is steady state target soln for both local and network playback of multitude of file types..music or photo or video or pdf. Worth it.

Best Filemanager App Available. I’ve used File Manager for years and just upgraded to the Pro version. Highly recommend this to all my friends and coworkers. My only gripe is that they occasionally change things without notice. The last change removed the ability to see file sizes besides the file names on my iPhone 12 Max. Bring this ability back please!!

Great App/Update. I’ve been using FileBrowser for a few years now and have really been enjoying the app. Also I really love the new icons in this latest update. I’ve only encountered one bug after updating where tapping or swiping in the center of the screen doesn’t work (iPhone X) but other than that the app is still great as always. Keep up the great work!

Best app for file management. They don’t collect data. That’s number 1. Plus it just works tremendously. I use it to manage files on a network and FTP. I also keep files locally for all in one location use. Definitely worth it!!

For pro users. I consider myself a pro user. So naturally, I found the native Files app extremely underwhelming. FileBrowser Pro does everything a pro user could expect plus more. I purchased the bundle and have only tried the business version so far. I’m not exactly sure what the difference is.

Love the Connectivity to PC. I had bought a flash drive to store all my procreate files on, however I quickly learned that plugging a usb c drive into the drive causes quite a few files to get corrupted. I was really upset that I seemed to lose drawings that I valued, so I checked out this app based on a recommendation from a Reddit post. At first I wondered if I should get this or the other version, but I figured I'd get this for the increased functionality. Rather than connect my flash drive directly to my iPad, I am now able to connect it to my PC, connect to my iPad via the servers, and upload folders that way. The drag and drop is nice and the multiwindow is very helpful in saving files. At first I had troubles learning how to share PC folders and learn how to undo the read-only issue, but now that it works I'm really grateful that I can still back up my procreate pictures. Since I don't have a Mac for the apple ecosystem, this is doublely helpful.

Favorite App. I’d to see the app to have two additional features: (1) a looped playback function that allows users to select and continuously repeat a specific portion of a video, and (2) the ability to create, save, and manage playlists for videos.

New release 20.0 has a fix. FileBrowser has generally been a great app but this last release, 20.0, with the new tabs festure is unstable on my iPhone 7 (iOS 13.4.1). When playing my mp3 song library it randomly crashes. It also drains my battery quickly. The development team quickly responded to this with this solution, which works: “We have found that another user switched off FileBrowser’s “Scroll Long Filenames” option and this resolved their audio playback issue. Go to FileBrowser’s "Config->Preferences" page and switch off “Scroll Long Filenames”. This should work-around the problem until we are able to fix it."

Worth every penny!. I've been on a long hunt for the best file browser/manager app I could find for iOS, and this one has finally brought my search to an end. DAV and remote integration is smooth and flawless. And their support is pretty friendly and responsive too. Thanks for a great app.

Now able to Access Windows 11 PC. Local works fine. Setup ZeroTier with firewall disabled and getting the Connect Failed: Socket Timeout. After receiving email from support that “A socket timeout indicates that basic TCP/IP routing to your PC has failed” I went back in to my security settings and also disabled Public Network firewall and then was able to connect using the ZeroTier VPN. I only had Private Network firewall disabled. Thank you support. Please update your support guide to include this for the socket timeout issue. I really love this app and paid full price for Pro even though I have owned FileBrowser for years.

Puts the PRO in your iPad. === Updated for version 20.0 === This app just continues to evolve in thoughtful, useful ways. The new interface is *fantastic* and makes an already powerful tool even more powerful. === Original review === Seriously, if you have any inclination to be using your iPad as a laptop replacement or “Pro” device, and you have to access files on servers, this needs to be your first purchase. Apple’s Files app has undoubtably become more powerful, but FileBrowser does things that Files has not even dreamt of yet. It connects to my mobile hub so I can interact with SD cards and portable hard drives. It connects to S3, SMB, SFTP, all the rest of the clouds, even if they don’t have Files-compatible apps. It even accesses my Photos app storage. It lets me easily copy things between any connected locations, and it syncs stuff too. Stop reading this, and buy the app already.

Does see all photos on phone…. *EDIT* To the developer. FileBrowser as complete 100% access to all my photos. Original Review Sometimes Inlike to save photos from various sources and then store them on my lan. I can see the photos on my phone but when I open the All Photos in iOS within File Browser, it doesn’t see them all, only selected ones. Makes this all but useless.

Not worth it for personal use.. I have been a MAJOR FileBrowser fan for many, many years. I got excited that the Biz version allowed you to sync. But it still relies on other apps to manage your files to sync. You cannot create folders within the app to store documents and sync those externally (back up, yes; sync, no). I still have to use Files or other 3rd party apps for storage. HUGE disappointment and waste of my money. But! The original File Browser app is still my go to to access multiple storage locations.

Great App. Very powerful, I’d like to see the ability to turn off filenames of images to be able to scroll through them just like the Photos app on iOS.

What a fabulous app!. Does everything you could possibly want, including quickly and easily connecting to Windows and Linux shares and viewing and playing every popular file type. It will even let you automate moving files between folders on your Windows or Linux share using a timer. It also works perfectly with IOS shortcuts. Truly, what's not to like? And you can buy a lifetime license instead of %}^*} in-app purchases. It's so much better than FE File Explorer! I wish I'd bought this years ago!

Great app. Had the normal one for tears and planned to get the pro one but never did until a few days ago and it definitely worth the price. Amazing functionalities. The app is the best browser app ive come across since for 10+ years. Its a great feeling to know you have a tool that can help you in every situation. Also the price is nothing compared to some other apps like Documents which has a monthly price of this app but cant compete with FileBrowser Pro. But most important feature is an amazing support team that explain every issue as simple as they can for you to understand and help you in every way. The support team is famous for being fast and thorough. I have made some support teams angry at me for being a novice but stratospherix team take their time explaining everything which is the best support experience ive had ever.

Best File Browser out there. I have tried a lot of so called file browsers and this by far is the best. While we have “Files” on iOS File Browser Professional is far better. I can connect to devices such as my NAS that Files won’t. I have been using File Browser Professional for a few years now and it is worth every penny! Plus the developers are constantly making upgrades to even make the app better.

IOS ICloud Sync. You mean I don’t have to backup everyone’s devices in the family????? I can just click and sync to a folder on my NAS???? I can cancel google photos at $10 a month and safe $120 a year???? I’m IN!!!!!!! Very well done app.

Best File Browser for iOS. I rarely write reviews and provide feedback – unless I am getting paid for it. However, I absolutely had to step in here and share my feedback about FileBrowser Pro. I do this because it is rare for a piece of software to be released that works well, is intuitive to use, and covers every need that the user could have. Everything about this file browsing app just works great. Most of the time, we are stuck with low quality/poorly written junk Apple software (such as their miserable Files native app in iOS, among many examples). I have thousands of JPEG files on my local network, including Synology, and yet the developers over at Apple could not (amongst any of them) find a way to reliably allow thumbnail previews to appear so that you can actually see the images in the directories you are browsing. You see kids, including easy and intuitive workflows for your software end users is kinda important. Nevertheless, this file browsing app does all of that and more. I absolutely cannot recommend it enough. It will be the best $15 you ever spent.

Rad file browser / manager. I use it, like, every single day man. It’s the ti- 🫢 …it’s an extremely good app. Well worth five stars.

I can’t access one of my folders. I can’t access one of my folders it just says ‘error’ but other than that this app is good for school & I kinda had no choice but to download it but meh. Wat’s the difference between file browns were for business & FileBrowser pro? My FileBrowser for business recently updated to FileBrowser pro and there was no difference...at least not that I’ve noticed yet. And for some reason I need to type in a password to access FileBrowser. I mean, it’s fine I can live with it, but it’s a bit annoying. Anyways, great app, it helped me submit a lot of documents and get recourses for school. — Pheonixwolf (not SH Wildpaw Girl if it says that — I changed my name lmao)

One drive business. Unable to use one drive business due to federated login, but support provided workaround using Office365 SharePoint.

Slide show. It’s a pity the slide show feature does not have the ability to shuffle photos when using. Maybe something that could be added in an update. Other wise great app.

Very complicated. Too complicated for me.

Appalling monitoring of any connection. This app should be banned for the amount of intrusiveness in each bookmark and mail you have on your phone or on your mac. No permission asked.

Returns iOS file control to the user, at a price.. Hefty price tag but the functionality is unmatched. Background folder syncing happens effortlessly and keeps my media folders up to date. The gui is robust and full of features. Accessing my NAS and and SMB shares is easy. The only thing I wish I could do is open the default “Files” folder instead of having to open that app separately or map the individual app folders. I don’t have to go into there often so it isn’t a large inconvenience.

Doesn’t allow access to S3 buckets via Files App WITHOUT the app constantly being open. I cannot for the life of me understand why accessing S3 buckets under ‘Network Folders’ in the native Files app isn’t possible without the app itself having to constantly be opened separately, whereas other similar apps like this do not need to be running to access them. Kind of defeats the purpose of having Files integration. And I’ve tried EVERY different setting there is. Like, who in this development team came up with that bright idea? Makes no logical sense. Would easily be 0 stars if I could rate it that low.

Refund. Set up to doesn’t work to every cloud service and I when I asked for refund comes up with this app not eligible for refund ripoff

Frame.io. This app is great but it needs to get integrated with frame.io

FileBrowser. Very good at being able to read and write back to my MS Exchange Server

Best app. This app is the ultimate for file sharing, it’s saved me many times. Considering the way Apple lock everything down, FileBrowser opens your device up to saving, storing and moving your files back and forth across your network. Stable app, it hasn’t crashed once. Great work to the entire team for creating this app.

Create Temporary Servers.. Please allow us to create a WebDAV server that we can access from other devices via a web browser.

Not worth it. Always gives me sync error. Have tried to reach out for help with the creators but havent heard anything. Its been more than 7 months of waiting.

File sync no longer works. I modified a file in one of the sync folders. Then when I do a sync, the file in the sync folder is overwritten by the older file in the SMB server. This feature used to work before but is now broken!!!

Browser. Please update to include a browser to download url. My university only has a site to download through login. It doesn't work with the URLs downloaded.

Support for iPad USB storage. The app does not offer support for iPadOS 13 USB storage.

Urgent Help Needed. Why of a sudden the file browser pro Sync Files CANNOT be accessed. I placed so many files in there already. Not sure how can i get customer support too from the app! Pls Help.

The best app. I’ve bought for about 5years, it’s the best among these kinds of apps. If it can support programming language, such as python, it’ll be better

Brilliant tool please add stickers or emojies to markup tool.. Absolutely fantastic tool would love to see some extra options in the markup tool such as simple stickers such as arrows, asterisks, simple emojies like thumbs up and the like.

Really fast SharePoint. Faster access to SharePoint sites and share drives than PC or Mac!

Near perfect. One of the most useful apps for iPad.

Doesn't work with Onedrive for Business. Office365 and onedrive for Business does not work with this app. Sharepoint server will not connect through this app either.

iPhone 12 support. For years this has been outstanding across our iPads & iPhones. However the new iPhone 12 will not connect through the internet. Locally on wifi it works, content to the internet and it immediately stops. Frustrating that the iPad version continues to perform outstandingly.

Good utility. Great to access network shares but a few bugs with streaming audio or video to the built in viewer/ player

Doesn’t Get Better Than This. This is by Far the best File manager app on IOS. In terms of feature and functionality nothing else comes close.

Great for iXpand. Thanks for continued support for iXpand, it’s why bought the app in the first place. Once again thanks for still Supporting iXpand in 2023.

Overall, a fantastic app. The reading speed for viewing large size file is absolutely fantastic (comparing with apple’s default Files app). The only feature that I hope the developer can implement in the future is to further expand the thumbnail capacity (so that it can keep the last 50000 thumbnail or even more). Anyway, a truly amazing app to use.

very useful!. this app rocks. plz plz consider adding thumbnails for svg files!

Google Drive Compatible. OK, the app is as good as everyone is saying. It would let me upload all folders to google drive whereas the native Google Drive app on the iPad would not.

App needs to be updated for ios11. App is not able to open .pdf or .docx files. Don’t know about the other types of files.

Works great with NextCloud. App handles server connectivity loss reliably. Great interface and superb support for many services.

Latest version crashes opening SharePoint. The latest version of the application crashes when I try to open a SharePoint location. The previous version worked very well on iOS 11. Please, do not update to the latest version...

Well played. Really good application

I wish more apps were this good. Works extremely well. Handles networked storage much more reliably than any Apple made application on any platform. Easy to set up; easy to use. FB takes away 95% of the pain of ipadOS file management. I can't say enough good things about how wll it handles network and cloud storage.

This App is the Greatest Utility on iOS of all time. I honestly think this is the most useful utility on my iPad and iPhone. Connects to servers, cloud storage, acts as a video player, a book reader and much more. The Swiss Army Knife of iOS Utilities. I use the Apple TV Version and upgraded from Standard to Pro for the Shortcuts functionality. The couple times I needed support I got it immediately. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. *July 2022 update. You can now rename photos using exif data! No more running my clunky shortcut! Thank you guys so much!

Very powerful app!. A Very powerful app. I use it with my vpn and I have now easily access to all windows servers. Great support too!!

ePub support. Best FileBrowser ever! Just please add support for ePubs . Also add Mega in cloud providers.

Il as ses bon côté. Très satisfait du programme :-)

Whines to post review. Even after paying a premium price for the app, this app constantly whines at you to post a review. Here it is. -3 stars.

This one!. Stop looking. This is the one you are looking for. (Seriously…stop looking).

Best file browser I used so far. Very versatile, many features to manage files like desktop experience. One thing I want to suggest is to improve in-app video player. I know this app’s primary focus is not media player but still, it’s missing basic features like scrub to forward, subtitle control, repeat options, etc. overall, no ragrets on the purchase.

WoW! This is exactly what I've been looking for. What can I say? I've been looking for a way to synchronize files on my device with the files on my computer without hassle, this is the solution. It's not cheap, but it is priced quite appropriately considering the functionality.

Awesome but could be better. This is a great little file app, it’s necessary on the iPad as i find there are a ton of bugs with OneDrive and what not with the regular ipad file app, i regularly lose my work that it supposed to be saved. If not for this app, I would be MUCH harder to use the ipad as laptop replacement. The only complaint i have is that there is no real proper keyboard shortcuts like there is on Mac. The biggest thing i miss is very easily typing on the keyboard and the file would be come highlighted, where one could easily hold CMD and up arrow to open. It’s a very quick keyboard gesture that saves a ton of time navigating through file paths all the time that this app does sadly not have. Even adjusting the accessibility settings on the ipad does not help much. As an FYI, the regular files app for the ipad does support this feature.

Gold Standard Utility. This has been the most generally useful app for years. Now, with the ability to hide the menus in gallery view, FileBrowser is the gold standard for browsing graphics, too. 10/10

They keep making the app better ✅. Been using the app and the tvOS app for years, never disappoints. When I have questions, support is always professional & helpful. Hall of fame app, it should be (Yoda voice)

Please add this feature…🙏🏼. I love File Browser Pro. Please make it where you can drag your finger across the screen to select.

Highly Recommended. This app is exactly what we needed. We needed an app that we could access files via VPN and edit them in place and save them back to the same directory. It was easy to use and pefect for what we needed. I highly recommend this for iPad users working remotely or on the field.

forget ALL the other apps (ESPECIALLY the Files app). This is the only app you’ll ever need. Pay the $15, skip over Apples shoddy, half-baked mess and the subscription apps.

Was My Most-Used App. I’ve loved this app for a long time, and I still think it’s great. Unfortunately, file transfer speed over WiFi/ssh/smb has forced me to look elsewhere, and I’m sad to do it because this one has served me well. If you can live without transferring files between machines, this is probably the best. Xfer speeds over fast networks are super-slow, though. Less than 1MB/second. If this is a non-issue for you, then look no further.

Best File/Media browser for iOS. Continues to impress me with its rock solid capabilities & features not seen in other tools. Have tried most of them on the store for years. This is steady state target soln for both local and network playback of multitude of file types..music or photo or video or pdf. Worth it.

Ugh. This is the second app I’ve purchased trying to download large files via SFTP. This just says “Calculating...” after I try to copy a single file and get’s stuck there. Also, this is supposed to be their professional version and yet you can’t even specify an initial directory for SFTP. Lame.

Website lied. Does NOT load raw nef files. Literally the only reason I bought this was so I can more efficiently go through and organize and delete Raw pictures from my photography stored in the nef file type. The website state that this format was supported. It is NOT. will be requesting a refund from apple directly as I doubt a developer who so blatantly lied will honor a refund request.

Best app for file management. They don’t collect data. That’s number 1. Plus it just works tremendously. I use it to manage files on a network and FTP. I also keep files locally for all in one location use. Definitely worth it!!

Background tasks don’t work. Developers need to stop claiming their apps work in the background. They don’t! Apple doesn’t allow them to. This app like all others has to remain open in order for tasks to complete

Wonderful app with useful features. This app is one of the - must have - apps on my iPhone and iMac Mini.

Backup photos to local server. Pro tip! Use this app to sync my pictures from my phone to my local NAS server. Never pay apple cloud anymore.

Loop One is missing for media files. Hello. I love this app and overall great except we need option to loop single mp3 and mp4 files in a large mass playlist. An example is where it will have a small 1 in the symbol to show it is looping. PLEASE FIX

Best file app in the store!. Developer is incredible! Very frequent updates and new features. Thankfully not a subscription model. Couldn’t be happier! Don’t think twice, buy and you will not regret it.

Great browser with robust capability. This is a great file browser enabling cloud service browsing as well as browsing of local NAS devices, and many other choices. Offers tabbed browsing, which allows for functional dual pane browsing.

Suggestion. Excellent app! Suggest to add crossfade option to the music player. All in one file browser app!

Sandisk iXpand. This is a very robust app with a ton of features. My one issue is that it does not support the newest iteration of the iXpand drives, the Lightning/USB-C Luxe. Do you have plans to support that drive?

Clean fast robust constantly updated. Well done, team.

Very Disappointed and Regretful. Purchased the bundle, not knowing what features were different. Can’t get it to work and immediately regret my purchase. I followed all the set up instructions for windows 10 and even though the file folders are showing up, no file information is available. Very disappointing!

The most comprehensive file browser.. Feature request: ID3 tag editor.

Crazy Good. Just buy it- thank yourself later. Amazing piece of software.

IOS ICloud Sync. You mean I don’t have to backup everyone’s devices in the family????? I can just click and sync to a folder on my NAS???? I can cancel google photos at $10 a month and safe $120 a year???? I’m IN!!!!!!! Very well done app.

Wide ability. Been using this for remote file access from NAT, SSH,FTP, etc. And, it has been working flawlessly.

Music player repeat, Save Image action no more. No repeat one song toggle on the music player, and “Save Image” action in Share sheet is missing when a photo is selected. Also the Save Image action on share sheet doesn’t show up anymore

The best!. I don’t rate apps often, but I needed to on this one. Simply the best files browser on any platform! Outstanding! Fast and easy! Fine job!

Changed my life.. Love this file manager… But PLEASE add support to show video and audio thumbnails from MP4/M4V/MP3 etc album/video poster. I rip movies and each file has a poster art. This does not show up here.

Powerful and easy to use!. Great app. So easy to manage. Integrates well. Also great support. Must have app!

Files app flop. Got this to try to connect to a sftp and get it through the files app, but as it turns out, every time I want to look at it in the files app this file browser has to be opened, as it doesn’t try to connect automatically or send me back to the files app it just opens up and sits there.

Must have. No nagware for reviews, works as it should and is always improving. This is a great developer!!! Thanks

Excellent App until .... It works as advertised but broken in ver. 11.1. The “Open in...” menu is now missing. Please put it back.

Was good for a while then started crashing after 5 minutes of usage. I was using it browse and edit photos on a NAS drive. It worked fine for a while then started crashing after 5 minutes of usage.

Create a task is missing and WebDAV server never keeps working. Can’t create any tasks. Create a task is missing. Trying to create a task to backup folders to flash drive. WebDAV server keeps disconnecting, even when the phone is unlocked.

Awesome!. Please keep up your good work, I wholeheartedly love your app! The best File Explorer ever tried on iPadOS and iOS :)

Excellent app that is regularly gets updates. I'm more of a Mac OS guy, but I couldn't resist the new M4 ipad. Long story short, this app makes the ipad productive and efficient...highly recommended, has a permanent place in my dock.

Million Dollar App. I wanted something that could join iOS / S3 / Local / Cloud etc.... This is it.....this thing is the best thing since sliced bread and Pyramids. Im very impressed so far!

Mostly use to browsing/playing video files. Great app overall, but the player could use some improvements.

Useless. Could never make it work. Spent days trying and let a long time before I tried wasting my time again because I saw the shiny reviews and thought I was doing something wrong. Turns out that 'Socket error 54" is just one of those life mysteries. Tried to get a refund but I guess that there's a time limit.

My favorite business app on my iPad PRO. Amazing product to convert Word on an IOS device. Must get this if you need this conversion of PC files to IOS device. Just love!

Love the upgrade. March 2020- I Just upgraded to the latest version and I love the tabbed view, much more intuitive Glad I paid for the biz version, we’ll worth the cost! Glad to pay my share for the good work, goods apps Stratospherix make No, I do not work there No, no one in my family works there No, none of my friends work there I just think they have great apps

Updated Review. This is a great app. I had some issues with it, but those stemmed from not understanding some of the functionality. They could do a better job explaining some features like the USB iOS13 update. That said, I am updating my review as promised!

Flawless. Works 100% of the time. Every feature you could ever want.. This works perfectly. I can finally leave behind my desktop OS and work 100% on my iPad. Worth every penny. Makes the default OneNote / Files apps look like childsplay,

Great App. Very powerful, I’d like to see the ability to turn off filenames of images to be able to scroll through them just like the Photos app on iOS.

Still the best. Still the best file manager for doing anything on the iPhone or iPad. I’ve used this program for years and it keeps improving.

Great app. This is the best file app I have ever owned. It has all the features I need, and has excellent customer service

Easy and right to use. App Works very well. Easy to set up and accurately shows networked computers. Connects to computers without problems. Just a great app

Maybe a good app but…... Just wanted to batch rename photos for a project. Thought I spend the 15$. I have wasted to much time trying to find the rename function. Still haven’t located it. I have read and watched everything I can find on this app. Nowhere do I get a screen like they show. Wasted 15$.
