Lyft Driver Comments & Reviews 2026

app slow to react when at red light or after making a turn. Hi, I’m a driver in Baton Rouge, La & I really have problems when at a red light & the app shows to go straight 200ft then after passing thru the light the app says to turn right or left! This requires a U turn & confuses the rider & driver as we have heavy traffic in our town & this error sometimes requires driver to go 1/2 mile or more out of the way.. Also many times after making a turn the app is slow to react & indicate the next move causing the driver to miss the turn as he has already passed it.. What are your guidelines for customers who are not outside when driver arrives & when driver attempts to make contact the rider’s phone doesn’t answer or goes to voice mail or has not set up voice mail? One would think the rider would be available but I’ve had this happen many times.. why does the driver not get a fee when the customer is a NO SHOW or cancelled the ride when driver is in the rider’s parking lot? I have trouble turning off my app sometimes while moving which causes the page to slide over then the driver has difficulty focusing on the road causing driver to get a low acceptance rating.. we could use a bigger % also!

Lyft’s Car Driving Program. I love driving for Lyft. I’ve met a lot of people while driving for them but the only issue I’m having is how much they take out from their drivers . They want you to pay $250 a week ( $1,000 a Month) more than any car payment and insurance u can have out their for a car that also does not belong to you. On top of that, they take such a large percentage per ride you get. They don’t factor in your time or gas expenses. They want their $250 regardless of what your going through or doing. If you want to take a vacay , you have to bring they car back , even if that’s your only mode for transportation. A 30 min ride will get you about 7-8 bucks all rides up to about 10-15 mins will get you almost $4 and sometimes riders are not tipping. They barely have challenges that will help you earn more money. It’s crazy the charges they take . You would think they would want the drivers to profit so we can be our best for their clientele but they don’t care. I appreciate being able to be flexible and make money but as a single mother , driving the car drains me . I can only work a few hrs a day because of my child so I hate to be on the road for 7 hrs to barely make $80- $90 . I would say if driving for lyft that you come in with your own car.

All kinds of problems. Just came back to using Lyft to drive. Generally speaking, I like the Lyft GPS system much better than Uber, but I just started driving again last night after a long break of about a year and there seems to be a lot of things broken. Several times, for instance, I had someone in my car but could not start the trip because I was not parked in the exact location they had set their pickup - like within feet. There was one ride where I was parked at the end of the driveway instead of pulling in. After 2 minutes of stammering my way through “this never happens” I figured I’d try to pull in the driveway. I backed up and didn’t even have my back wheels over the driveway entrance yet and it pinged saying I could let them know I arrived. This was embarrassing and I was super lucky they were so understanding (and happy drunks). And it cost me valuable time during peak Saturday night ride hours. For less than 10 feet. Another time, the same thing happened but it gave me the option to “arrive early” but said I would lose out on any wait time and would not be compensated if the rider cancelled. Of course, this ended up being the ride that I waited and waited and called the rider several times and he never showed up. So then I had to be the one who cancelled the ride (hope this doesn’t reflect poorly on my record so quickly after returning from a long absence). Lots of problems to fix here.

Dashboard /GPS UPDATES. As a recent Lyft driver, your driver app could use some updates on the dashboard: Today I had 7 trips and 6 of those trips every were the wrong navigation directions. I would turn when the Navigation advised & then the app would update & re-route to a different direction in the middle of driving to the destination. Yes, I did looked in the App Store to make sure the app was updated. However, this is unacceptable having this many wrong directions on this many trips. One trip the navigation wanted me to turn over the top of a median and the rider witnessed the app showing me the GPS. Direction. Your dashboard could use some helpful updates for drivers. Examples: An icon that references a coffee cup or man/woman restroom so that you don’t have to “Go Offline” but to pause for a short time. This allows the app to momentarily pause for a possible snack or restroom break. Additionally, on your dashboard, you could include a traffic cone icon and when selected it would come up with other icon choices, such as accident, traffic, wrong direction, road closed, speed enforcement, would definitely help out the drivers. Also, when connecting with CarPlay, it would be beneficial on the GPS if it would include stop signs and traffic lights because some of the roads are hidden and you can’t see them so therefore you bypass them and have to go around the block. Please consider these updates/changes! Thank!

Lyft is a ripoff for drivers. I’ve been doing Uber and Lyft in Kansas City for about a month now and I have to say I am quite appalled at how manipulative Lyft is with their drivers. They talk big numbers and bonuses and guarantee $500 a week, advertise big bonuses for new drivers, and make it seem great. But then you drive 15 minutes to pick someone up and they don’t show up and I make $0 for it. Lyft says “it’s because you didn’t arrive within 5 minutes of the scheduled pickup.” Lyft doesn't care to ask if I couldn’t find the entrance because the customer’s phone number wasn’t in service. They give you rides that take you all over the place, making it 10x more difficult to reach your 100 rides, they pay you about $3 for a mile and a half ride that took 8 minutes (and that includes the extra 55¢ for gas), and they put up bonus zones with no intention of leaving them there long enough for drivers to show up. Why even have bonus zones when they disappear in 30 seconds? Because they are trying to lure drivers with zero intention of actually making sure they get the bonus. Lyft develops an app and leaves the drivers to take on all the wear and tear, time loss, gas money, and doesn’t even care to compensate them properly. I can assure you once I hit my 100 rides, I will never drive for Lyft again unless I find myself in a $10+ bonus zone or they decide to increase fares or quit taking such a high cut of the measly ones currently in place.

Full time Lyft driver 11months in. Suppose to have an overhaul to the point system June 1st still no change. Never been elite although I make more money than most in my city. Always been 5 stars I get no rewards for that. In 10 months I’ve drove over 2400 ppl and 42k miles and Lyft still takes too much of my money. Took a lady to SFO from Sacramento Lyft charger passenger $312 I only received $122 driving over 2hrs from my city and had to drive back they took almost $200 and only gave me $122 is robbery. This app and company could be great but it’s too greedy when us drivers are the reason they can pocket billions. Then I was using there express rental paying 1800 a month for 10 months just for the car. And when I purchased the same car Lyft took all my weekly bonuses off my app… I no longer have 10% - 60% Bonus hours that usually start at 9am to 3pm.. Which make it look like those bonuses was only for Lyft took make more money and not the 5star driver. Take this information before coming to Lyft. And the customer support is really bad 80% of the time they don’t even understand our problems. Again I’m a platinum full time 5star driver with a 100% driver rating who goes out his way for passengers. Also Lyft needs a better way to deal with non service dogs being called that for a free ride and the dog is dirty and clearly not a service dog stinking up my car and we don’t get paid for it. Or picking up big heavy bags at an airport that can hurt you and you don’t get paid for your service. Hopefully Lyfts looks at this and decides to treat and protect their drivers better.

Money. I like Lyft but I also don’t I feel like they take a lot of money out so you barely get anything. Sometimes I am driving 7-10 hours and only would make like $80-$90 which is nothing a lot of ppl only want rides like 2-5 minutes which results In like $3 for you as the driver. The passengers complain that they are paying a lot but us drivers DO NOT SEE any of that money only like little less then half. Not including the amount of time it takes to get the passenger which sometimes a passenger would want to be picked up like 20 minutes away which we don’t get reimbursed for and then for the passenger to only want a 2 minute ride after I just drove 20 minutes to get there to only make $3 this app needs to pay a little more to the drivers especially if this app sometimes is our only income. We have to put gas and drive many miles away for a little compensation you would literally have to drive a full 24 hours I believe to have a great pay at the end of the shift ridiculous Lyft needs to do something about that. As far as the app I don’t really have issues with it only the GPS where it would re-route me sometimes for no reason but other then the crappy pay it’s ok if you want to make a little bit of extra cash.

About 50% is what they take. I’ve been driving for Lyft now going on three years in Texas, and have a 5 star rating with over 2,500 rides. In the beginning lyft was fair in the payout and if the app had glitched on a ride bonus they would correct it and pay you for the bonus but not anymore, they will tell you,” we’re truly sorry but we can not add your bonus to your account due to another driving picking up the client.” Even when a client spilled something or made a mess in your vehicle they would rate the damage based on the type and size of the damage. Since 2021 they only will only pay you $20 no matter what the damage is. They claim it’s only meant to help assist you in paying for it to get professionally cleaned( it’s costs about $100 to have it professionally cleaned the right way) . They take about 50% of what you make, maybe 55%. If you drive for Lyft don’t expect much help from the company that no longer values it’s drivers, because we’re easily replaced once I’ve paid off the new car I just got for driving lyft I’ll be deactivating my account. It’s decent money if your willing to put the hours and miles on your vehicle but your not valued and they will not fairly compensate you anymore, even it’s it’s there fault or a clients fault. I’ll usually make $150-$250 on a bad night. With them taking 50% you’d think they would value you and at least accommodate you but it’s just another big business… so sad to see this is what they’ve come to… I used to be a big promoter for them but it’s hard now when you know your parent company doesn’t really care about the small business owner.

Speed limits. I have been driving for Lyft for about 4.5 months. I have enjoyed it and I have improved on keeping it at the posted speed limit but there are multiple roads where I Lyft that are 35mph and then change to 45mph or 45 to 55mph but it’s not showing it on the GPS which then shows I’m speeding when I’m really not. I have heard from many customers that the company used to use Google maps. Then someone told me they might be using tom-tom. Please help with the improvements on the speed limits and whatever software you guys are using because it does affect how we get paid in our ratings. The other thing that kind of drives me a little crazy is having to go through neighborhoods to get to the main road or a cut through that brings you to a stop sign at a busy intersection which sometimes can be a safety hazard when you could have driven a half mile to a mile to a stoplight, taking a left or right onto that main road that you’re coming out to anyways and be a lot safer. I have chosen to be go sometimes the way GPS wants me to if I know that I’m coming to a stop sign and I have to cross four lanes of traffic. Some of the concerns I have since I’ve been driving for you guys.

SUPER SHADY BUSINESS + NO ACCOUNTABILITY. 4+ year driver and it’s not even worth it anymore. Lyft does every vile thing under the sun to the drivers and beyond a message thread of you complaining, they do nothing about it. THEY STEAL FROM US!!!! Wages, tips, cancel fees, tolls, bonuses, and personal miles(if you rent with them) are all tools they will use to take incremental amounts of your hard earned money from you. I’m still waiting to hear from “support specialists” from a year ago for more major issues. Lyft cut off our rides is about 2/3 and you keep 1/3 of profit 🥴 Passengers are supposed to be charged a $10 cancel fee when canceling within an hour but just this week they made sure I didn’t receive it 4 times which means they shorted me $40. They charge me almost $400 a week for 90 personal miles and this week I’ve been magically accruing mileage while driving less… now that I’m over my amount that’s an extra $25!!! THEN YOU TRY AND ADDRESS THESE PEOPLE AND THEY LEAVE YOUR MESSAGES UNREAD FOR HOURS AND WHEN YOU FINALLY GET THROUGH TO THEM THEY DISCONNECT AND FORCE YOU TO RESTART THE WHOLE PROCESS!!!! THEY DONT EVEN HAVE A CONTACT NUMBER!!! I have soo many unresolved message threads of them sweeping issues under the rug that it’s insane. I’d be more than glad to show y’all these threads so you can first hand see how irresponsible this company is! DO NOT WORK FOR LYFT GET ANOTHER COMPANY MONEY

Bugs. I’ve been driving for lyft for about 2 years and when I first started things were good. Recently it seems like my app has bugs in it. Whenever I get a request it lowers the volume of my music. The only way to fix it is to force close the app after accepting the ride or force closing my music app and open it back up to restore the sound to its original volume. Also the map used to zoom in the closer I got to the passangers location making it easier to find them now it doesn’t so I have to manually do it. I don’t mind except I’m driving and it’s a pain to have to tap the screen several times for it to zoom in fully. There is also the problem with navigation at times. I’ve noticed that whatever app you are using for gps navigates the the pin and that’s not always where the address is. Sometimes the pin will drop on the opposite side of the street or in an alley behind the location. And unfortunately seeing the house/business number isn’t always possible especially at night and I’m where the pin but not where the actual location is so I’ll say I've arrived but I actually haven’t. I wish the apps took the address given in the lyft app and not the location of the pin.

Things that severely get under my skin when using the Lift Drivers App.. As a frequent user of the Lyft app, I've encountered several frustrating features. One issue is the cancellation chime, which appears to serve no purpose other than to annoy me when a passenger cancels, giving me the impression that I've made an error. Occasionally, the cancellation chime is similar to the tip chime, which doesn't bother me, but I wonder why Lyft has a separate cancellation chime. When a passenger cancels, the ride and navigation disappear, providing sufficient notification. We don't need the additional cancellation chime. Moreover, when using another GPS, the Lyft app's background map is difficult to rotate, and it reverts to a sideways position after adjusting it. Why can't it remain in the desired position, and why is rotation so challenging? Also, I've had instances where I receive a nearby ride request, but the app fails to navigate, even though I’m still quite some distance away from the Pin . It incorrectly states that I've arrived when I still need to proceed and locate the address. Why does the app announce my arrival prematurely and fail to navigate in such cases? I will revise my review as I encounter aspects of the Lyft app that I dislike.

Lyft is Rip Off and needs to be better. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Lyft takes 50% of the total ride cost which is absolutely ridiculous considering how manipulative the company is. You will accept a ride that is “17 min away” going “10 min” from pickup location for $8 and when you’re 7 min away, the rider cancels and how much do you get compensated? Nothing. You get compensated absolutely nothing. Left is running a slave labor system and has gotten worse over the years. I rejected a ride that was going to greenville GA from atlanta (ETA 1hr 30 min) because the pay was a mere $40. No consideration for the fact that you will be displaced, no consideration for the distance. I got back home and wanted to run a test just to get an idea of how much Lyft actually takes from each ride. So I had my friend turn on their driver app, and I requested a ride to Greenville GA. My ride cost was $78, when my friend saw the ride on his driver app, Lyft was paying out $39 for this ride. A mere $39 for a 90 min journey. Lyft is a sham and if they don’t improve will keep trending down. I’m not driving for Lyft anymore given my experiences thus far and the robbery that is taking place with the company taking a 50% cut of driver pay and being so manipulative with their bonuses and terrible “challenges” that are just there to persuade you to drive for pennies on the dollar just to get a “$40 bonus” for taking 20 rides that will only total you $140 (if you are lucky). Terrible app, terrible company. I wish them nothing but failure barring any attempt at doing better.

Terrible company. I worked for them for 3 years and since I was permanently deactivated almost 2 years ago I still to this day go on regularly to write reviews as to remind and warn people to not sign up for this company. Years of work I put in while I maintained a rating around 4.9 to 4.8 and lyft has very little room for a bad rating considering 4.6 is risk of deactivation. Anyway my point is I was a good driver. I did thousands of rides for them and in the end was one day surprised by a message stating I was permanently deactivated due to ALLEGED violations of lyfts community terms of service. After emailing and calling for over a month to find out what I supposedly was accused of that was apparently so horrible and trying to get re activated I saw every email had been completely ignored out of the 30 I sent. I did however finally get thru to a supervisor on the phone who was as mean as they come and said I was accused of texting and driving which by the way I didn’t but anyway texting at driving and they now felt I was unfit to be a driver despite this being my only job. The rude woman then took a much more stern tone saying I’m a liability and that I will never drive for lyft again and told me to stop calling because it won’t happen. There was no proof given by the person who accused me nor was I given any chance to defend myself it’s simply just their word against yours and whether you’re lucky enough to have lyft believe you. I remain deactivated to this day.

The new cancellation policy. Now that we are in phase 2 and we now have LONG PICKUPS, this policy starts up! Now things are very different! Now we are going to lose money! Before we didn’t have all the long pickups! That’s when this policy would help! I hope I am wrong because I can’t afford to lose money! Why couldn’t this start when we go back to normal life! I never had long pick ups before the COVID 19! Now I have driven far just to pickup! Especially when the stimulus checks came out! I had a pickup 36 min away! And it was highway miles to pick up ! I love Lyft but I feel like this is going to hurt the driver! I truly hope I am wrong! And I would also like to say that when I have a ride in queue can you have an option where they can’t text or call until I am done with the ride I am on! I had someone who was texting and I can’t text back! I am not going to be rude with my current passenger and we can’t text and drive! That is a big safety issue for all of us! I hope I didn’t come looking on here like a nag lol! I just thought it was a horrible time to change the policy when our pickups changed drastically since the shutdown! I hate to cancel or not accept a ride because the distance was far and a very short ride after pickup! And many are like that! Thank you

Lyft are Thieves !!!!!!. 1. The pool options passengers have to select make the driver LOSE money. You drive around town to pickup a shared/pool ride that is 17mins away and they only go 5mins away from the pickup. A WASTE OF MY DURN GAS!!!! If you decline it will affect ‘Acceptance Rate’. 2. The incentives to driving ‘no longer is worth the paper they print them on.’ $36 dollars after completing $65 rides. Do the math....$0.55 a ride 🙄 3. I made more money in Arizona then I do in Atlanta!!! Arizona does not have Shared/Pool ride options for passengers. If they did not have shared in Atlanta as a driver I would make more of an income. Lyft retains more of the ride fund during a shared/pool ride. Especially when there is more then one passengers during the shared ride. THIEVES! You will not make money doing Lyft! 4. The Express Drive is a joke too! They give you under 250 personal miles to use during the weekly rental. You can do 200 miles alone within 2days in Atlanta. They are basically not allowing you to use the car but to use it only for Lyft. 5. If I am using my money to gas up a car that I am renting to use. Why do I get penalized for declining a ride that will not make me a lot of money? Lyft selectively and randomly now only give small bonuses and incentives. Every since they went public, they are no longer for the driver. Doing the calculations, I now make below minimum wage.

The. Worst. Customer/Driver Support System. By. Far.. Comcast, Airbnb, all that services with infamously bad customer service reps - yeah, they are bad, but at least you can call them. Lyft here, with driving as integral part of the business model (there’s no rideshare without someone driving, right?) decided to go with the most convenient and comfortable way of communicating with Support - chatting. Chatting?! You guys all have phones, right? So if something “minor” happens, like a passenger vomits all over your car, something that doesn’t constitute an emergency, the driver has to get off the road, stop the car, stop working and patiently sit and wait for the customer service rep to respond to their chat. Oh, and let me tell you about the best part - waiting. They don’t tell you “We’ll respond to your message in ~2 hours,” oh no, they say “We’re working on your issue right now, good sir. My name is Bobby-Jack, let me look into your issue.” And then nothing happens for an hour. You write again and ask for an update, and now there’s Diana-Shamyana who says “Right on, Sir, the previous rep got disconnected by “accident,” but I’m here to help you now, let me look into your issue.” And then - you guessed it - they disappear again for hours. Or quote some bland and obvious part of the rules that is hardly applicable to my situation, and THEN disappear. But what about my issue, am I going to get help? No, you’re not. Wipe the tears and get back on the road, you *proud independent contractor*

Don’t need navigation button and need text to say I’ve arrived. I you may have made some changes because I complain that I didn’t push the navigation button. It almost caused me to have an accident trying to change lanes to get on the highway because I hadn’t pushed the navigation button. It’s not necessary because you see that we’re moving. Also, there needs to be text that says I’ve arrived or I’m here. I have to take the time to type that in it’s better than having to call them Also, I think Lyft needs to absorb all the cost for us taking three and four dollar rides give us at least 70% and you take 30 otherwise we don’t pick up those rides because they don’t pay for the cost of gas Otherwise, I love Lyft more than I love Uber and Uber has been in the news more lately about their drivers trying to have sex with riders and also Uber eats this ladies pepper sprayed peoples food while she was delivering it and it was caught on camera. it caused the woman severe stomach pains that she had to go to the hospital so Uber is being sued about that. Hopefully Lyft, you’re doing background checks. I mean criminal background checks on drivers so that we don’t have people like that in our fleet. Thank you for listening.

Terrible experience and I rarely leave bad reviews but this company infuriates me. Things that could be better •Wait time after arrival is 5 mins.. should be 2 •Too many cancellations for the reserved trips (usually the older people who book through another app) •I drove for 10 mins at a normal pace, rider cancelled on me right when I got there. No cancellation fee. I though the support rep that if it didn’t get resolved I was done with Lyft. Of course nothing happened so I rage quit and uninstalled the app. •Both Uber and Lyft have a lack of transparency on the how much the rider pays. I can no longer easily access it in the app. •Usually rides I get in auto que are garbage (as in pay and distance+time driven) • Changes my trip on route to a ride I don’t want… Things I like •Choose not to be matched with a rider again •More destination filters Edit: not much has changed — though they did allow you to set destination filters while in a streak. Unfortunately won’t use them anymore. Apparently if someone throws up in your car it’s considered a damage report and you have to take pictures and submit within two hours. I had no idea so contacted support and got nothing — just read this website and sorry nothing can be done. They said fairness was important but really what it is about the $$$. They take so much from the driver. A passenger was going to pay $90 and I got $45. How is that a cut? Don’t drive for Lyft, not worth it

Upset with pay. So usually you know your worth, you know what your going to put in, to get back out etc. those that get my vibe- this is you. Not right now with Lyft. Idk why they have to make more than us per call I’m tired of 4-6 daily rides! $4 knowing these people don’t have a car and don’t tip!? It’s so unfair to us to get try; I only do this bc I’m disabled- I’m not worth $4 on a $20 min ride. That’s harsh my time my gas my day my car my wear and tear, your program running itself thru us, and please just .. why not have the Best Rep in the game? Instead of the cheapest? Pay us bettter. It isn’t a video game! I’m here here to play and roll dice! I like “my job” I despise greed and knowing your hitting us too hard. Now insurance too?! But don’t worry only our riders prices will go up 🤮🙄-used up number/car. ten rides at $4 is $40 they know they don’t won’t tip just don’t let anyone convince you that you’re worth it based on your tip because people who take ride chairs do not have a car. Hopefully they are saving for one right or who knows either way they are not tipping you on a daily basis (they do it’s very rare and sometimes a smile or standing out helps yall) I always give my best. Then take my time to let them ^^ At the top know they’re just “wrong.”

Let’s work together for a better life!. Lyft. Please….use the “RELEVANT,” ACCURATE LYFT APPS, with DIGNITY, and RESPECT to the Lyft drivers, I started work hard in driving, then, your Lyft navigation system or GPS. In the place of pick-up, and I got my passenger; sitting inside my car. Then, your “ARRIVE.” To the area, it won’t pop-up in my cellphone, the same thing with the “SLIDE TO DROP-OFF, passenger. It’s because I’m a nice person, with compassion with others needs, and cares to people; I still continue gave them ride to their designated destination. And “I END UP FOR NOT GET PAY FOR MY SERVICE.” For my miles, distance, Bonus, and Time. I can’t live like this kind of situation almost everyday problem happened in your “ LYFT SYSTEM.” I don’t know, if the Microsoft that your company use or the area of driving is blocked by trees or building. I am new in your company in just two weeks driving, and encountering all of these problems. ATTENTION LYFT: “ LOVE YOUR DRIVERS.” Because we need each other to survive in this world. Thank you. For your kindness and consideration to your self-employed drivers. I thank all my passengers for rating me an ( 5 ), stars driving performance. May the good lord blessed us all. AMEN!

Incompetent customer service, and app issues. I have been driving with the Lyft for over five years, and there has not been one time A customer service representative was able to answer my question without giving me a generic scripted response. They respond to you with everything that you can read on their app. They seem to not know anything and they seem to also not want to help. I’ve had the same ongoing issue for months now regarding reserved rides and why from time to time there would be a pop-up that says “something went wrong, retry“ for almost a half hour at times and I reach out to customer service and literally none of them know what to say or how to fix the issue. It’s beyond me that customer service never has the answers and then they tell you it has to be escalated and then you have to wait weeks for someone to email you. When that error pops up drivers are blocked from being able to pick up a reserved ride because you’re unable to see the info or click them. Thus missing really good money and customer service keeps hitting me with the same scripted responses about updating the app or reinstalling the app and I’ve done that 1 million times and it still doesn’t work. they then try to tell you they’ve answered the question when they in fact haven’t. Because they just wanna get you off the chat. Because they don’t know anything. There’s no one else to contact other than the regular customer service on the app and they need training because they literally don’t know anything. They just write the same thing to you that you can find on the website.

Please fix some things. The Lyft app requires drivers to have a picture, but you don’t require riders to have a picture or an accurate name. I’ve picked up people that just have a number as their name emojis as their picture cats anime but not an actual picture of their face if we’re required to show our face, they should be required to show theirs, I’ve think it’s unfair that your time on the app is not logged when you’re at an airport but when we are out here and Lyft rides, take more than 8 to 10 minutes I think the app should not be logging your time, especially when you have challenges Going on so there’s more people out lifting which means the queue times are going to go up because there’s not a demand anymore. as far as mandatory breaks, there should be a button that we should be able to log when we take breaks there needs to be a button for roadwork. I’ve logged hazard multiple times because roads are blocked off due to construction and they still don’t show up on the map. there needs to be some more categories added to why you don’t wanna lift some anymore. I’ve had people get in my car with such an odor and or dirty clothes that I had to clean my car after they got out because the smell was still in the seats and I don’t want to pick someone up that has bad hygiene. There should also be better maps of our rides so that we can clearly see where you’ve been maybe not addresses but at least the street because sometimes the rides come back to back and you don’t have time to log the complaint or you didn’t get a time to unmatched somebody we should be able to change the orientation of the map because it doesn’t always real time Catch up when you start moving.

What’s w/collecting sensitive data?. The app collects sensitive data including & up to ur contacts. Why does Lyft want that? Total invasion of privacy. Drivers you CAN OPT OUT of the Arbitration agreement Section 17. That way if you want to participate in a class action suit you can. -I as a former driver had the worst time with the gps. I was told the drop off would be on the left at times when the drop off was at the right. As a new driver I didn’t know there were designated pick up areas for passengers & drivers and I got lost a lot & ended up having to cancel rides cause I couldn’t find the passenger . The app should tell both drivers & riders to go to the designated LYFT rideshare pick up area & it should be clearly physically marked. I’ve been to stadiums where no one knows where the Lyft pick up area was and they used a bar address that was nearby. The gps is just crazy in general wants you to zig zag a lot instead of taking you down a main street. There’s too much for me to write but on the positive side of things…. I did like the fact that Lyft does show the amount of the ride & how long the ride is. Uber doesn’t do that. You just take a risk of taking a crappy low ball ride. I like the fact that Lyft offers cheaper rental options too. I like that you can talk to a real person with Lyft if you do use the flex ride option. I like that you can be unmatched. Thanks for all those things.

👎🏽The customer service system is extremely disgraceful 👎🏽. I received two ride requests in one week, and in one case, after I arrived at the location 8 minutes later, the passenger canceled the ride by messaging in the app, saying, “I no longer need it, I want to cancel.” I waited at the location for more than 10 minutes, but the ride was not actually canceled. I had no option to cancel either, because you can’t cancel before the call is made. When I tried to call the passenger, I kept hearing a repeated voicemail message that said, “This is Lyft, and you are in driving mode. This call cannot be connected.” I tried several times, but kept hearing the same message, and there was no other option. Eventually, I had to pull the pickup and cancel again. As a result, my account was suspended. There is no customer service phone number available to resolve issues. When I tried to report the problem, the app asks for the specific ride, but the ride I had canceled does not show in the ride history. I don’t know what to do. This is a full-time job for me, and I’m being faced with these issues. I rate this app zero stars because there is no direct contact option when these problems arise. It feels like a scam where you are being taken advantage of, with no way to reach out for help. In the second case, I received a ride request, and when I arrived at the pickup location, I messaged the passenger that I was waiting. They responded, saying, “I did not order a Lyft, you have the wrong number.” I encountered the same issue again.

Uber is better. I drove for Lyft almost 1 and half year now. The problem arrives every now and then. They don’t pay you. Less than minimum. Customer support is dumb. It’s not even support They deducted 220 and 180 from my account. They never replied to the mail regarding this. It’s been over 6 months. Can you imagine being a Lyft driver full time and losing 500 dollars for nothing? Such a big company and they destroying the life of its employees. This is how the homeless is growing in America. They made my life miserable now allowing me to pay my rent 3 months back I went to pick up a lady on a hill. There was no network. I started driving towards the destination. Rider was doctor and she was in a hurry. After a while I called the customer support. I drove 8 miles and the support says app shows I didn’t pick up the rider so it’s been canceled. Drop the rider on the road!!! Does it make any sense? Is it even a service. Should I call them to leave the driver on the road? Today at 8 AM in the Bay Area. Prime and prime place. I went to pick up someone at the clinic. After 15 minutes the clinic says patient didn’t even come to the clinic. So I’ll have to cancel the ride. Is it my fault? I didn’t get cancellation fee. When asked the support tell me how to cancel the ride, how to pick up the passenger. I have nearly 2000 rides on Lyft and Uber each. What’s wrong with this Lyft? I get to see atleast 5 or 6 accidents a day. Every minute drivers on the road is dangerous. But who gets paid more? Engineers and call center working from home. Who gets the insurance? Them! Life is tough at as a driver . Trust me.

They take too much!!. I’ve been a driver for years now. I do feel this app makes the most out of any of the ride share apps I’ve used. However, they take so much money from customers and drivers it’s ridiculous!!! Half of the fee the customer pays goes to Lyft, then on top of Lyft taking half the customers money, they are still taking a quarter of the drivers earnings on top of that!! I made over 600 dollars the other week, and only got to see about 400 of it!! That 200 could have gotten my insurance, or paid for my car to be detailed, or used to save to fix my vehicle. I make 25-35/hr from the app’s calculating, I should not be struggling at all!! However due to the large amounts the app takes for “fees” I am more or less making nearer to 20 an hour, while putting hundreds of miles on my car a day. I have back issues, so getting a normal labor focused job is not going to work for me. Driving is one of the only options I have to be able to pay my bills… it’s insane how much this app takes from customers and drivers. On top of that the prices are always changing for my customers, literally by the minute. I’ve had many people tell me that Lyft tried to charge them 60 dollars for a ten minute ride when they had just paid like 20-25 the day before. Then the driver doesn’t see any of that difference, it all goes to Lyft!! I’m grateful for the app, but also feel like if Lyft took less from each driver and customer they would still be alright!!

Does not give accurate location. I’m a new lyft driver but it has happen three times where the lyft app has failed to give me the proper directions. First time it told me to make a left on 24th and mission and I did but drivers are not allowed to make a left on that inspection does the lyft navigation not take that into account? The second time it told me to make a right on 5th and mission and so I did but the building where my passenger was heading was on our right side, if I dropped her there she would have to retract to get to her location. The navigation system should have sent me to go down 4th, right on Howard and right on 5th and my passenger would have not been upset. Then the third time I was picking up a passenger on mission between 3rd and 4th. I was on 5th following the navigation system and it told me to make a right on Minna, the system believed my passenger was waiting there even though he was on Mission. Once again I had to retract and go against the navigation system to pick up a passenger. Please fix the navigation system, it’s such an inconvenience to get the wrong directions especially when you’re in a metropolitan area like San Francisco and one missed turn during rush hour can turn into 10min delayed and a u happy passenger.

LYFT DOESNT CARE ABOUT DRIVERS - STAY SAFE!. This trash company doesn’t support their drivers. They don’t care about our property. They don’t care when riders damage it. They must not care about their support team either, if they’re even real. It seems like “support” is just a dumb chat bot. But even sadder if it’s a real person because the MASTERS do not let them say more than 12 prewritten sentences. If you have an issue that this bot doesn’t understand you are out of luck. Basically Lyft gives you a big middle finger and closes the chat. So what happened to me… A guy brought three dogs in my car, two in a crate. The crate ripped my seat and the dog not in a crate clawed my door panel and put 7 holes in it. For my trouble Lyft gave me $80. HAHAHAHA Unbelievable. If you value your car don’t expose it to Lyft passengers - if they damage it you will not be appropriately compensated. Instead you will be told, “I believe I have exhausted all the information about your inquiry. I'll be ending this chat now. Stay safe!” Update: Lyft sometimes offers what they call “pay includes pick up” this is meant to entice driver to travel far distances to pick up a rider. However, once you get there if the passenger decides to “significantly” change to drop off location you will only be paid based on the “rate card” which will not include the distance you travelled to pick them up. This allows for riders in less trafficked areas to scam you and Lyft will not do anything to support their drivers in this situation.

They will let 5 star drivers go. I’ve been driving for Lyft for years have a perfect score and at the beginning of December right before the busy Holliday season Lyft put my account on temporary hold and the rep in the email named donavan told me they would reply with in a day or so to tell me why I was put on hold. They stated they are doing a investigation (which from other drivers is just a lie they can get away with legally) it’s now been a month I’ve sent multiple emails and still haven’t been contacted once since this supposed temporary hold was made. As a result a 11 year didn’t get a Christmas gift and I couldn’t travel home for Christmas. This trash company has made it impossible for contractors to find any resolution and help when they do this. They send one email and that’s your one option to get help. However after a few days Of emailing the thread to donavan and hearing nothing copied the email address to email and hopefully get someone who will actually help. It came back saying the email isn’t even in service. So Lyft is out here banning 5 star drivers without stating why and sending them a fake email about a temporary hold meanwhile they never had any intention of resolving the issue or letting you know what went wrong. Thanks Lyft ruined so many things I relied on you guys for. Stuck through the pandemic and everything just get banned for apparently nothing.

Lyft map only option. I’ve been a truck driver for 18 years and the Lyft app is a bit dangerous. Let me explain. I’ve contact Lyft support about it but the service personnel in the Philippines would never understand what I trying to covey to them if they never been to the USA. The Lyft maps app directs drivers through a residential street across a major Blvd or avenue with no stop lights and the driver need to shoot across fast. The issue with the Lyft maps is that the programmers, the Lyft ambassadors the office personnel don’t have to drive across that dangerous direction the drivers is told. I know Southern California so well that I can foresee that but I feel sorry for the drivers that not familiar with the area. I so wish I could have a conversation with an executive from Lyft to share my input that would help lower accidents, decrease passenger drop off times, help with flow of traffic. I want to speak to a non Philippines customer service representative from the USA but don’t know how to contact someone in corporate from the USA. And lastly this is not a smite at the customer service center people from the Philippines they are awesome whenever I call they just can’t help with the concerns I know that can help the Lyft platform run more smoothly. The guy that writes the assembly manual has never assembled it. Hands on is what is needed. The app creators cannot find there way without navigation and that where the issue lies they keep compounding thinking they facilitating it when in fact the more they add the more they complicate. Simplicity is needed. Have someone from corporate get ahold of me. Am a Lyft driver of 9 years.

Ask for feedback from Drivers, but you ignored when We done it. The radar request system is a joke. Drivers often have to sit there waiting a long time watching the radar screen for a ride. When a ride finally appears, we have to react very quickly to grab it. But the “accept ride” button is placed right next to the “go offline” button. Because of this terrible design, drivers can easily tap the wrong button and accidentally go offline while trying to accept a ride. This causes us to miss rides after waiting for a long time. It’s an unbelievably stupid UI design. Whoever designed this clearly never drove for Lyft. The navigation directed me onto a one-way street that was only for exiting, which resulted in me being stopped by the police and receiving a ticket. I reported this issue to the platform, but they dismissed my complaint and did not offer any compensation. Last week, the app again directed me to enter a one-way exit-only street. Fortunately, I remembered my previous experience and did not follow the instructions, avoiding another potential fine. Additionally, there are some design issues with the app. The buttons for going online and offline are too large, which often leads to accidentally opening the app when trying to close it, or accepting a job when trying to dismiss it. The interface also displays too many unnecessary features on the online/offline screen, which can be confusing for drivers.

Lyft is the worst ride share app with un-professional employees.. I won’t recommend it to anyone. I would be the last person to leave a bad review for this rideshare or Lyft company, it has been a year few months now since they banned me from driving with them which I found so wrong.. just because a customer complained about a lie that had no further investigation I’m not hurt or mad writing this,it is just the fact.. you guys seem to care more about the customers than the actual driver and we are the reason you guys company expanding. I missed nothing but the good customers I have had that still reach out to me asking when will I drive again and my answer is like never .. it’s so unfair for Lyft to just ban someone from their company for the fact that a customer gave out a compliment and they didn’t even do a deep further evidence cause they care less .. you guys did closed the door for success on me but God’s plan is always working.. I wasted half of my vehicles mileage on driving for them and gain nothing, even some of the airport trips payments were less than the the time and miles driven.. For those of y’all out there trying to drive for them make sure you do not get any customers complaints for your own good if you rely your life on Lyft cause they’ll end you like a movie.. please don’t ever rely your life on Lyft if you looking to leave your job for this ..

Bonus streaks and not driver friendly. One thing you need to know about this app is that I have noticed when I am doing a bonus streak there will be a cancellation and then it knocks you off of your streak and you either have to start over or it ends completely. You are driving to the rider and boom cancelled and then you get the pop up saying you lost your bonus. Pretty crappy and the support you contact is useless most of the time. It forces you to take the toll roads and then riders get upset. If you put on a filter and take a ride the directions do not come back up for you but is still filtering and so you then have to use maps app to find your way to the destination you set. Most of the time you don’t get rides with the filter and is a terrible perk they add for the levels of rewards. It should be available no matter what. Sometimes you get in a terrible neighborhood and need to use the filter more than it is allowed based on your reward level. Also, make an option to report no mask due to COVID-19 easier for the drivers to report riders. As well as under 18 or no car seats and you waste you gas and time. We need the app to reflect these issues and without the drivers dedication and safety 1st as a priority; driving for lyft with the app’s current situation is a real issue.

Horrible company. The app is an absolute nightmare. It sends you down one ways and wrong ways regularly, especially in school zones. The entrances are from right to left not left to right. They’re always one way and yet Lyft refuses to fix this. They have a tendency to send you down one-way street regularly until one day you’re going to have an accident and possibly get killed because of this app.. Also, they should pay us more for people that need assistance with heavy bags and wheelchairs, and such not only that as a woman of a certain age, heavy lifting is not allowed, but yet they send me with someone that needs assistance with their wheelchair and if I get out and help, I could cause irreparable bodily injury to myself which Lyft will not pay for so I will sue them because they will most certainly deactivate me if I refuse a rider with a disability not because I have something against a person with a disability but because I have a disability myself make it make sense Lyft not only do we need to boycott them. We need to file a class action lawsuit against this company because they do everything they can think of wrong they abuse us as drivers continually they steal our money they barely pay us enough for the normal rides then they get fined by the FCC and then they pay us even less because they’ve gotta pay out all of these fines from different government entities and from all the lawsuits that have been filed against them already.

They’ll do what they want and you will suffer. At first I thought WOW what a great app. I’m making extra cash meeting great people and seeing new places but now that I’m going on my 3rd month it seems that lyft literally changes my pick up as I’m on my way to pick them up and sends me in the opposite direction. Then my scheduled pick ups are being canceled due to error? Who’s error because all it says is “admin canceled“! When I have a scheduled pick up I work around that specific time so I’m available for that time. If Lyft is going to cancel, compensate me for the time off for said scheduled ride. Now I’m no longer doing scheduled pick ups because of Lyft’s inability to keep their programming straight. One time it stopped the ride right in the middle and tried sending me to pick up another. I had to cancel the one it was trying to send me to and turn off the app and ask the for directions to get him where he needed to go on my dime. Navigation is a whole other story. Navigation has me driving around a city block when the destination is two doors down the street. I’ve had passengers tell me I’m passing their destination and I have to “exit” the trip because they don’t want to drive around the block to get to their house two doors down. Can’t wait for other ride applications to get running to switch over because this lyft thing is losing my support really fast. It’s only 8:30 am and I’ve already gotten a cancellation due to error. Thanks a lot Lyft. No more scheduled pick ups from me. - Disappointing

BIGGEST SCAMMERS IN THE INDUSTRY. Let me start off with this I don’t usually write reviews. I know, you’ve heard this from many other people too. However, I truly don’t. My issue with this app is the fact that not only are you deteriorating your car and cutting its lifespan in like halve, but when you address an issue with any of the workers at lyft NOTHING GETS DONE. I’ve waited over 5 days for someone to resolve my issue. I had a passenger who peed in my car, and not only did that stop me from reaching my goal for the day but I also had to pay to get it professionally cleaned. I’m sure you drivers who have been in similar shoes can empathize with my frustration. When I reached out to lyft they PROMISED ME to issue me an $80 damage fee. They said it would be available in the app within 24 hours, yet till this day I still haven’t gotten it. I’ve talked to them plenty of times and what do they say? “We’ve escalated this issue to a superior to assist you in a timely manner. You should be receiving and email within 24 hours”. Today is day five and I still am without the funds to cover my expense that had to come out of my pocket. All the hours, money and car damages that I’ve gone through for lyft not to be consistent with delivering their promises. This is unprofessional to say the least. I’m no longer using their app, I had a 5 star rating, but they are not going to respect us drivers they don’t deserve our service.

Disappointed Platinum Driver. I rent a luxury EV through Lyfts driver platform. I’ve given 3,742 rides in 9 months. I have an excellent rating at 94% Platinum with 5 stars and my account status is in great shape. Yet it’s troubling me how Lyft adjusts its bonuses to match my driving habits and notifies me ahead of the week while its systematic background checks come as a complete surprise. I’m unable to login during my regular working hours on a Friday night during driver score qualifying and rewards hours because tonight is a routine background check. This means with no warning at all I can’t access driver mode. The app itself says it could only take a few seconds. But after a few hours and speaking with several chat support workers I’m told it could take 24 hours. When looking online it’s states it could take 2-10 days. So today Lyft because you’ve given me time to sit idly when I’d normally be working, I’ve taken the time to draft a platinum level complaint. In this time I’ve began contemplating if you want me or anyone else driving for this company at all. Hey there’s room for improvements all around so even if I stop driving for Lyft and all else goes well maybe you’ll have developed a protocol for keeping drivers on the road during background updates or at least notifying them ahead of time so we avoid any inconveniences they might cause. For what purpose would you disable a drivers access to driver mode during an annual update anyway?

Map needs serious improvement. Everything works great in the app except directions, we need a turn by turn listed and A lot of times when picking up a passenger does not have the exact location forcing me to call passenger. Also it would be nice to be able to send quick messages such as pre-populated messages we can click and quickly send rather than only having the option to call. I am grateful that there’s only a $.50 fee to transfer the money instantly it’s nice to know that Lyft isn’t being greedy with the transfer fee. And lastly I feel like 15 seconds isn’t enough to except a ride I was getting gas and didn’t want to miss an alert I missed a passenger due to the time it took me to open my phone to accept which in turn dropped my acceptance rate down 10% that’s really not fair. Otherwise I just started driving for Lyft and I absolutely love it. One last suggestion, Uber has an option to pre pick certain contacts in your phone when you want them to follow you The developers should look into creating something to same. What a great option to feel even more safe, which I have yet to feel unsafe!! Thank you Lyft for providing and outstanding second source of income our family ❤️

Poverty Ahead!. Amazing app for anyone looking to waste time, money, destroy your vehicle and have random people in your car doing random things. Im a 5 star driver with over 1200 rides over the past 2.5 years. In that small amount of time fares for passengers has risen substantially , while driver pay out stats the same and in many cases pay the equivalent of about 6$ per hour if you try this full time. One morning I opened my passenger app and a ride to the airport was $150. I opened my driver app, logged on and received various airport trip requests paying between $15 and $17! That’s beyond greedy. It’s unfair to the passengers and drivers. It’s predatory, disgusting, and exploitative. The average trip request is often 6-9 minutes away, 15-25 minutes out after pickup and usually offers $6-9. Pay rates have not changed in years and god forbid you rent a car from them, they give you even lesser rates, all while keeping all of your fares until the balance is covered. Pure scam that takes advantage of those who rely on income from driving. My heart goes out to anyone who has to do this; even McDonald’s is a better option than this racket. Avoid if you care about your life (research assault and murders of drivers). Absolutely NOT worth it. Lyft has nothing but contempt and hatred for it’s drivers and they prove it daily with their unethical and hostile policies.

App flaws and ripoff for drivers. I’ve been doing Uber and Lyft in Chicago for about 5 months now and I have to say I am quite appalled at how manipulative Lyft is with their drivers.

If you can find another job, RUN. App has a bunch of things wrong with it and no matter what it’s always the drivers fault. App glitches and accepts a ride without my permission and it counts against me to cancel. App says a ride is 1hr in its really a 5hr ride to a different state and when you try to cancel, guess what? They threaten to terminate your account and remove your ability to cash out daily for the time being. The only way to reach a human is if you are literally being held at hun point, literally they will not talk to the drivers if it’s not a life threatening situation so you have to talk to an a robot who gives the same generic answers to every situation and doesn’t recognize complex situations. Oh and don’t get me started on how terrible and unreliable using Lyft direct to get paid by lyft is. Can’t access your money at random times they decide to do unscheduled maintenance, random double charges for gas which is insane with how expensive gas is. And instead of doing anything about it, lyft makes unnecessary updates to the app like changing the ride request chime. Cause I really appreciate an annoying beep beep beep while I try to figure out how lyft is gonna F me over with my next ride. Like I haven’t gone thru 2 cars and my life savings trying to make this crap job sustainable. Lyft prays on people like me who need the work. Deplorable if you ask me

Make our phones SHOUT; Take us ALL THE WAY HOME!. 1. As a (now) three year driver, and Ambassador with Lyft, I am still amazed that the App does not incorporate an iOS “take-over”/cover function that notifies a driver that does NOT have the Lyft App noticeably open (in front) of any Incoming Request (i.e., nav units). Rather, a request will only appear -momentarily- as an incoming SMS, that a driver, when DRIVING, can easily miss. The App, when a driver is in Driver Mode, should take over the screen (as well as audio) of any iOS device, like an incoming call, alerting the waiting driver if any incoming request. And, needless to say, the driver should have On/Off control over such functionality. 2. I’ve always been annoyed by Lyft’s Destination Drive limitations, whether by miles or time, that seems to ALWAYS cut out (off) before a destination is achieved. Case in point, during this week’s drive times I had set my Lyft (and Uber) Apps to a Destination Drive location (home), and while Uber takes it all the way to my destination point, then ASKS if it’s OK to go offline, Lyft (as usual) CANCELLED the destination drive stating that they (Lyft systems) were sorry, that there were no rides to be had until I reached my end destination... even though I still had over “35 MILES” still to go!!!???

A lot of problems with this app. Overall, the app works fine for direct routes and single passengers but it does a poor job of handling multiple passengers and prioritizing drop-offs. (1) The app does not allow you to pick up or drop off passengers according to what makes the most sense. The app wants you to strictly follow predesignated routes which is a problem when you drive past someone’s destination because the app is sending you to a farther pickup/dropoff. (2) When cancelling a specific pickup, the app cancels the other passengers. This places drivers in a horrible predicament and stresses out customers. (3) The Waze integration is convenient but even Lyft advises you against using it because you have to switch back & forth, it creates lag time, you're likely to miss notifications, and it doesn't always transfer the address/directions. So, hello red light & speeding cameras. (4) Trying to contact Lyft through the driver app is a series of choosing predetermined questions, answering how it '"didn't help", and then requesting contact. On some screens the “contact us” option, which is heavily buried in the app, doesn’t work. The app directs you to the website. (5) If someone wants a Lyft ride and you happen to be right there, the app won't connect you to each other. (6) Telling users to restart their device after every app update is not a 'Pro Tip.' It's. Problem with the Lyft driver app. (7) Finally, if you don't accept certain rides, you are penalized with a lower 'acceptance rate.' Many issues that need to be addressed if Lyft expects to be a strong competitor.

The platform blocks and gives free trips to customers without first investigating. Hello, I want to make a report through here so that everyone who is familiar with it can see that they are not the only one. They suspended my account, which was inactive for more than two weeks because I was on vacation and now when I want to use it To go out to look for money I found that it was blocked and the only thing they told me in the email was that I violated Lyft's policies and when I investigated and called a Lyft representative told me that my account was blocked because during the course of a trip that I was on, a person who I don't know who he is because they don't give information reported that I was masturbating and that person reported without proof and ended their trips and did that damage to me or to us who happened to us just to get free trips where they block my account for 2 or 3 or more just because an unconscious person makes a false report without caring about the damage it causes me since I only do lyft and even though I am a driver of 5 strangers with good reviews you block me at the slightest accusation and that client is rewarded with a free trip for his false accusation because for a person to do what that client reported has to be a person with mental problems and believe me, I am very well in my mind thank God and alone I want to comment on this so that you can also leave your opinions because Lyft should take into account what we do not make an effort to provide good service and stop blocking us the first time a client reports us just to get a free ride.

Dangerous Update!!. The update is dangerous and should be illegal. As Lyft often does, they have added “features” that are intended to make Lyft more money and have more control of their drivers but disguised as “safety features” and “improvements”. You cannot access any of the information previously available while your vehicle is moving, which in theory makes sense, but the Lyft app takes almost a full minute of the vehicle being parked before you can see trip details or perform many actions necessary to safely navigate to the passenger. If you have an emergency and need to cancel but you are on the highway (and therefore cannot stop) there is no way to cancel the ride. It is no longer possible to quickly check the pickup address or a note from a passenger while stopped in traffic. If you arrive at the pickup spot and the drop off is a 45 minute drive to the middle of nowhere, you won’t know it until the passenger is already in your car and if they are unhappy that you can’t drive them to their destination, you’re left in a very vulnerable position that could easily result in a violent incident putting you at risk. This “feature” should be changed or removed from the app and the greed and lack of regard for driver and passenger safety should be made known to anyone forced to use this garbage company for transportation. Couple concerns. I’m not sure how it all works. I’m glad to be able to work, however many times I’m in a busy area on a busy night and I can go an hour without a request. I can be busy for an hour or two in suburbs, and then I get to a busy area and I get no requests. Another thing I’m unsure about is the rate increase. I see the rate increase pop up and fluctuate as soon as the rate increase disappears I get a request. This happens so often I’ve noticed the pattern. Multiple times a night i see this occur. The final thing is a concern or issue I’d like to bring up. I know the pay for a fare is based on time and distance. Time is clearly hardly a factor and it should be a much greater part of the equation during peak times on peak days. Eg fri night on Las Vegas strip. When the traffic is so bad it takes an hour to exit a hotel property and get 1 mile to the destination and I only get the minimum $4 that’s clearly a problem. Less than half of what minimum wage hourly pay is because of traffic that is out of my control is a huge issue. There have been several nights where I’ve just gone home because I was stuck in traffic for more than two hours and only got two minimum rides during that time. I think understanding that traffic in high demand areas(especially in LV,NV) severally limits the amount of rides a driver can giver per hour should be considered. If time was a bigger part of the equation when calculating fare in these areas it would be far more beneficial for your drivers.

Awesome gig. I have a full-time job and only do Lyft part time, but I have made an absolute killing in the little amount of time I have available to drive each week. From the time I cut the app on til the time I cut it off, I am absolutely going the entire time. It’s fun too getting to explore around your city as you give a ride to people enjoying a night on the town, or helping someone out in a dire situation such as their car breaking down and needing a ride into work, and if the feeling knowing you helped someone out isn’t rewarding enough, Lyft offers actual rewards for such things as taking a certain amount of rides on high volume days such as holidays, or you can earn perks by taking fares in bonus times (usually the weekend) and earn points to get to platinum status where you get free roadside assistance or free tax-filing for 1099 self-employment, and even being part-time it was easy to get to platinum status. You can even rent a car if you don’t have one for very reasonable weekly rates and it’s mainly all hybrids so your dollar will stretch when having to fill it up, and they even have plans where for a little extra you can have personal miles so you can get where you need to go. Lyft is seriously the best side-gig that anyone can have, and from what I can tell, if need be, it could be a full-time gig. If you work any job that pays less than $10 an hour, you should just quit, sign up for Lyft, and even if you rented a car from Lyft, you would probably still make way more than what you’re making now.

Suggestions. I like that as a driver, we have the option of having more rides queue up while we drive but I’ve been having a bit of an issue with the app queuing me with long distance (37-47min) trips without letting me know before accepting. I don’t know how long the trip will be until I swipe to pick up passenger. If I could know beforehand I could possibly stop for gas or a restroom break if needed. It’s just a inconvenience. Also the app update is very inconvenient when it blocks you from touching the screen while driving. I’ve tried to go offline in the middle of a ride so that I don’t get queued with another ride and it blocks me from doing anything onscreen until I stop. Sometimes I am on the highway and I can’t stop. I understand this may be due to safety reasons so that drivers don’t text and drive but I feel it is better to go offline than to get auto-queued with more rides and having to cancel on them afterwards. The same goes for not being able to click on the passenger’s info while driving. There was a confusion between me and a passenger about which address to go to. I could not tap on his info to see the destination address because the screen was blocked! Very frustrating

Drive for Uber instead!. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was driving for 15 days before Lyft allowed someone who couldn’t pay for their ride to blatantly lie saying I pulled a knife on her. They deactivated my account. I was renting the car to drive for them and couldn’t drive to pay after deactivated so they told me to keep until redetermination of my appeal. Once that happened I had to turn the car in after not being able to drive to pay for a week which I was told I’d be reimbursed for however a few days later they told me they would be using my deposit they said I’d be getting back to pay for the week they told me to keep the car for that I couldn’t drive to make money for. Someone also sent me on a send off mission saying I had to go to the dmv which I didn’t so that was a day I took off for no reason. In conclusion they give you a constant run around and let their passengers just lie on you and once they realize they are wrong they still try to take your money. Dealing with Lyft has been the worst experience and I regret ever downloading their platform. I’m looking into getting a lawyer and also looking into having them investigated seeing as though they allow this to happen often to other drivers. It seems like a scam at this point to be honest. 👎🏽 wasted of time and money and effort and energy.

ZaC. Great Support Team. Way to go

Worst pay. The pay is horrible and no tips from customers

Love it. I have been driving Lyft for over a year. The app works great, but would appreciate knowing what direction the ride is headed. Very reliable, and staff have been easily available to solve any of my issues. Way to go, Lyft

Worst Support ever. Their support team no nothing try to reach them they will give you general answers only it is 5 weeks that I can't drive because they don't know what is wrong with my background check and why they can't process it with Sterling. They say sterling is closed that's why but when I call sterling they told me no they are open but they did not receive my information from Lyft.

Bad services. I used to drive with them and this company doesn’t have any ethics and morals. just stick to Uber.

Nice. Nice

Promo. Use this code “RAJAT82095”and get $500

Support team don’t have knowledge to resolve problems. Support team don't have enough knowledge and holding phone line for more than 30 minutes, they don't have proper tool for tracking past anything happens pay issues🤬

No any respectful. Lyft just use drivers for zero support

Excellent. Great App

Worse place to work at no driver support at all. My account was put on hold due to false racist accusation from a customer who asked me where i am from and when I explained that I didn’t do anything and the customer initiated the conversation they permanently removed my account. Not to mention the very low pay no driver support and they align with any customer complaints even if it was fake or racist. Horrible experience. If there was below zero i would rate them

App not working well with Music on Apple Carplay. Whenever there is a sound from the app (notification, navigation, message etc.) It will dim the music volume to very low as well as the sound quality. To resume my volume and music quality, I have to ask Siri to pause then play the music, because manually pause/play would not do the trick. Lyft app should not interfere with my music on Apple Carplay!

Worst driving experience ever!. Was taken on a 15 minute trip in a snowstorm to lyft someone less than 500FT to get paid $2.72, I wish you luck.

No phone call support available. I donot understand that being such a big ride share company they don’t have phone call support that’s big big drawback

Worlds worst application. This is the world worst application on the earth. This application is worst application. I think we don’t need this this application and also one thing the Lyft customer support. They are very frustrating guys. They don’t know anything. The guys are just wasting your time. They are never resolved any problem. They are very, very, very bad guys. The Lyft application is worst application on the planet on the Earth.

Worst Customer Service. I went to Canada Post and the clerk said u need a new form for scanning. Mailed lyft , they said cant do anything call Sterling background check as they are the contractor. When I called Sterling they said we have no access to form contact lyft. every time I e- mailed lyft , they send me same msg to contact Sterling.

No support. No support form anybody very bad experience

they steal drivers money. they are doing illegal activities, the worst company ever

Lyft looking at their drivers like a slave. As a driver you get no support from lyft, they deactivated your account with no reason!!! Any report from passengers ending to deactivated drivers account whiteout hearing from you!! Judgment by Lyft is absolutely unfair and discriminatory 👎👎👎

Age. Why only people above 25 years can drive??

Bad. If you wanna experience stupidity, start driving for lyft

VINAY58873. VINAY58873 Use this code to get 300$ bonus

very sad. Just don't download this pendant and don't lose your life.

😖😖. Really not worth it..! They have to change their system for sure especially to challenge Uber

Cleaning fee. If passenger through out vomit in the car this time driver clean himself Lyft don't pay any cleaning fee . They ask for receipts , who will clean vomit except driver ? At night car wash close even day time no one will clean car while vomit , so driver can't give any receipts , Lyft don't take care Lyft driver 1

The app needs improvement. It is unfair for both the driver and the passenger to have pickups at least 10 to 15 minutes away only for the driver to find out its a 3 minute trip after arrival. Also, the app brutally lags after accepting a fare and at times freezes. I’ve had to pull over multiple times just to restart or to wait for the app to load navigation. Absolute waste of time... Lastly, it would be appreciated to make some small UI tweaks such as moving the sign-on button from the top to the bottom. I find that safer when driving. Grateful for the business that it provides me, but I find the app brutally inefficient and can be hazardous due to its performance.

Driver support team must be changed. Can not understand, why they can not support their drivers as Ubers support team? 2 days ago, morning my account was deactivated. I tried to contact them about reason, but no answer. I did my background clearance 3 weeks ago and everything was ok. Thats why guys you are getting requests from 10-15 mins away. Driver support team must be changed !

FAKE SIGNUP BONUS SCAM!. I signed up because I was offered $500 for my first 100 rides completed in 30 days. I completed 156 and they said I wasn't “eligible”. Wont tell me the reason. I escalated the issue and they said I was in fact eligible and would recieve it within 5 days. It has been a month and still nothing. So i messaged again and now i am all of a sudden “ineligible” again.. horrible. Stick to uber.

Lyft is operating like we in the 19th century. Wake up Lyft 2020 is almost here , worse service ever

❤️. 💎

It’s good but if you guys added a night mode to the navigation then it’s gonna be much better. It’s good but if you guys added a night mode to the navigation then it’s gonna be much better

Fraud and unreasonable unfair to drivers. Very unfair and unprofessional policy for drivers they rob drivers

They deactivate the account without any reason. I was driving Lyft, just 10 days After 10 days, they mail me that my App driving by someone else, and they deactivate my account. I don’t know how can I prove that? And there is no one to listen you if we contact with team, they ask that my contact is at the risk team. It is a stupid app. Don’t change your job at the behalf of lift. There is no guarantee when they deactivate your account.

Terrible earning. Lyft is for cheap people with no basic etiquette and they have the audacity to introduce upfront fares of 2$ for a 10 minute ride that’s about 2km haha you can make more money begging on the streets than working for Lyft using your own car

Attention needed: Lyft only listens and accepts what riders say not the driver.. You guys always listen to the rider not the driver. Sometimes a false statement and bad review against a driver is being accepted and considered by the lyft team while not accepting what driver says and what is the reason for the negative reviews. I suggest a mechanism to listen and give importance to their drivers as well. Thank you

It’s a SCAM. First of all they say $500 bonus for 50 rides in GTA area. After 50 rides under one month no bonus was received and chat support said its not your profile. You are not eligible for that like how?? When I clicked on your promotion and downloaded this app and started how I’m not eligible. There is no tech support. There app doesn’t comply with apple carplay. Worst experience.

Scammer. Everything you do ( insurance + driving + car maintenance + gas + car installment ) , you will become servant and they took 49 % from your income and at end you will lose car depreciation .

Selfish company. They don’t give a damn if you stay online for a whole day and make you fool by giving you short bonus quests and they don’t send you ride while bonus is on

Pay. They don’t pay fairly to the drivers.

Worst app. I usually don’t have time to write a review for the apps but for this i would have to say its worst . Costumer support is worst they took almost 1 day to get back to me.

Not worth it. If you drive in London Ontario, be prepared to wait from 3 to 6 hours to get a trip. Then the app will say you earned more than $25 per booked hour. Their CEO will tell the media our drivers make more than $20/hr. The media will report this without checking the facts and this $20/hr is made in 3 to 4 hours of standby. This gig isn’t worth it. The pay is far too low, and after accounting for maintenance, gas, and the hefty tax bill you’ll owe Revenue Canada, you’ll end up losing money. Lyft takes nearly half of every fare, and if you reject unprofitable trips, they punish you by slowing down your ride requests. I learned the hard way don’t make the same mistake. Any other job would be better than this.

Scam. They offered 40 percent and 30 percent surge but not giving rides , i just make 15-16 per hours . Don’t use this app for driving. Thanks

Underpaying. One of the worst rider app to work with . They are charging almost same or more money to their riders and sometimes pay only 50% to their drivers Priority mode feature is a scam they use to pay even less than normal pay.. Monoply is the word to use for todays gig work owners

Worst ride share app. They just deactivated your account.

Do Not Drive Lyft. I made $4 on my last trip was not even remotely worth it to waste $6 on gas and car. I had a trip $2.95 like really how do you expect drivers to work out? They have large turnover of Drivers. Do not wait at Airport, waited all day for $18 ride.

Took More than the fare. My ride app didn’t end after completed the ride. I sent an email with a explanation and I got a email back from Lyft saying thank you for the honesty. But they took more than what I got paid. Daylight robbery.

Withheld Remuneration. They have withheld my payment, even though I have submitted relevant documents.

👍🏾. ‏Lyft's mapping system is based on miles. I hope you add kilometers because they are the standard in Canada.

Very worst experience. I am just wondering who designed this application without knowing the basic things. Particularly in scheduled rides design, the system/ AI functionalities are not working properly. In scheduled rides, The conditions / criteria’s doesn’t meet the global standards for drivers to do the lyft. If they don’t make the changes to their application it would be going down soon.

Notification. Notification for rides should be loud and long. Every time you have to focus on the screen otherwise lose the opportunity and decline acceptance.

Completely falls apart at the slightest hint of a bad connection. First off, this is not a criticism of Lyft as a company or as a source of income. This is exclusively a criticism on the highly flawed Lyft software. Lyft driving is great, but if you’re going to try it, you had better hope your rider doesn’t live in a dead zone. Unlike other rideshare apps that can contend with temporary connection lapses, if you experience any interruption in your internet with Lyft, the app will not recognize that you’ve arrived at your pickup. Although it gives you the option to say that you’ve experienced a bad GPS connection, this usually results in an indefinitely spinning loading wheel, preventing you from proceeding with the ride. By this time, the passenger is already in your car, and because you don’t have access to the turn by turn directions to their destination, you are forced to politely ask the rider to point you in the right direction while you restart your entire phone. This scenario plays out for me every single day. I don’t know if anyone else experiences this. I know that there are many highly objective glowing reviews for this app, so maybe I’m in the minority, but if other people are experiencing this, then Lyft needs to work around this.

Banned because I don’t rent my car from Lyft. Lyft banned me from the app Ing. My documents would not be accepted specifically my insurance documents. The bear came after attempting to load my second vehicle to the Lyft app with identical documents after several attempts, left me, claiming that my documents were not accepted after they have been accepted previously. After doing my investigation, I have concluded that lift files against renting cars from any platform other than theirs and they will deny block or fraudulently not accept your documents because they want you to Rick cars from them and not any other service to use on their platform I read something that there may be an insurance liability which in itself is not a reason to ban someone a potential insurance liability is not a reason to ban someone every every insurance case is a potential liability. Every insurance case is a opportunity for insurance claim not to be paid. So basically, I’ve been banned because I have chosen to use a third-party Russell service that’s not provided through Lyft and they won’t acknowledge that but everyone who is going through what I’m going through understands it to be exactly that! I’m looking forward to lift lawyers making sense of this

Amp. I’ve been driving for Lyft for over three years now, the only problem that I have is with the amp. Recently I turned on my amp and picked up my first passenger of the night, shortly after I picked them up the amp lights completely shut off so I plugged it in to my charger in the car and still nothing, let it charge overnight and the lights still wouldn’t come on even though the app said the amp was connected. I ran through every troubleshooting step that I could find about the Lyft amp and I even went as far as taking the amp apart and trying to diagnose the problem that way but nothing was wrong internally. I even purchased an amp off of someone online and still the same thing happened, worked as it should during the first pick up then as soon as I picked them up it happened again. The “support” in the app was no help at all and told me to get an electrician to help me with the problem and that the amp should be working for all drivers and not just drivers under a certain tier. It’s definitely not an electrical problem so please Lyft, find a way to fix this issue.

Better than other gig economy apps. I relied on the gig economy for a living during part of this past year, and I made good money driving Lyft. There were lots of incentives and bonuses out there, and the app helped me plan ahead to catch busy times and big events. Now that I am employed full-time again, I still drive Lyft occasionally, and feel much less penalized for being a “casual” compared to other gig apps. I also feel I have plenty of control over when and where I pick up rides. My biggest complaint with this app is the navigation. I have found myself directed down alleys and private driveways, onto roads that were closed or no longer exist, sent the wrong way down one-way roads, etc. Once I was even directed to a drop-off point that was fenced off from my passenger’s destination, and cost him 10 more minutes finding the way around to the other side! Luckily I mostly know my way around my metro area, but this problem could easily become dangerous to a driver working in an unfamiliar area.

***Driver Beware***. This company does not care about its drivers at all. I have talked to numerous passengers while driving and compared what they paid versus what I made and Lyft has been taking about 50% of the profit everytime. On top of that they also allow passengers to create nicknames instead of using their real names which creates a safety concern for the drivers not knowing who you are really picking up. They rarely will do any surges unless you take at least two rides in a row and you have to go offline to see if they are even offering one but will show you hay you are in a high demand area. They will constantly send you ride requests for 20-30 minutes away when the person is only going 5 minutes down the road and will not compensate you for the long drive to pick them up. If you have to cancel on someone because they don’t show up you only get $2 while Lyft takes $3 of it. To sum it all up, they are making more profit than the drivers are at this point. Make sure this is worth your while if you choose to drive for them

Not good at all ways. They don’t do a good job .. driving for them after they adjust the pay that claims you will get paid once you accept the request .. but actually they reduce the price for the mileage and the minutes .. it’s loss and all people complain that they lose much money and they stopped working with them .. on the other hand they don’t take care of drivers .. I had an accident and there insurance 3rd party which supposed to cover your accident they try to hide from you .. I called them and you can’t imagine they give me disconnected number for insurance and same as email as nobody reply .. when I contact again they give me another number and email and both of them out of service .. smh ????? And they don’t pay for clean more often and sometimes missing earning or trips .. they do stuff behind you while they claim that they paid you and then after a day to take it back specially for cancellation fees .. they they clear the whole trip from your trips so won’t find it .. that’s why a lot of riders use lyft because they cheap but bad for drivers as you don’t get paid well because they charge rider cheap ... I ended up deleted the app as many drivers and stuck with Uber .. they do better job

They’re not listening to feedback. I’ve driven for Lyft part time for 2 years. During the COVID-19 quarantine, Lyft should have made the option to cancel passengers who are not wearing a face mask. It would protect drivers as well as other passengers I would later pick up. We should get the customary $5 cancellation fee as a result, but there’s still no option for it. During a time when Lyft claims they need more drivers they put my account on hold for an “annual background check”. I’ve never heard of this before. There should’ve only been one background check at the beginning of employment, and no one else I know who drives for Lyft has ever heard of this annual check. It’s taken over a month to complete and I’ve been on hold for nearly 2 weeks and can’t make any money. It’s ridiculous. Lyft also needs to charge more per minute and not per mile. That would mean I could actually make some decent money driving on local roads with lots of stop signs, red lights, and city gas mileage. Instead they charge more per mile. A $3.71 ride minimum isn’t enough to make a living where I live.

BE AWARE YOU DO NOT GET PAID FOR A LONG WAIT IN ORLANDO. Today is the last straw I’m taking from Lyft!!! You lost me to Uber now. I had a scheduled pickup at 10:30 am this morning. I was there on time I arrived and it said the rider has wait time so I waited the allotted time. When the time ran out I called the rider and I spoke to the rider and she said she is ready to go as soon as they let her loose. So I continued to wait for her . A staff member came outside with another patient and as me if I was waiting for the rider and I said yes . The staff member said she will be out in 5-10 minutes I said okay so I waited then the staff brought the rider out at 10:50am and the rider was in my car at 10:52 I was leaving. So I dropped off my rider and I sent a message to lyft about the long pickup time and they wouldn’t pay me extra as they said they don’t pay for long wait times. Lyft has done this to me before not pay me extra for additional stops they have not paid me for wait times and furthermore they have not paid me for rides that cancelled and or disappear off the app . I’ve been screwed by lyft . I hope your company goes under. Cause you sure do not take care of your drivers 🤬

Just don’t bother. Want to make below minimum wage and struggle to pay bills, then this is the job for you! With its super unreliable mapping gps and incredibly low paying fares, you to could be barely surviving! But what about the 70% guaranteed? We’ll let me tell you, they don’t pay you the 70% up front. They pay you extra for normal low paying rides then keep the majority of the surge rides along with a hefty percentage going to their fees “in order to keep the app running” but then you’ll make around 60% of passenger payments and then they pay you the other 10% the following week on Thursday. How’s the driver support, surely they pay for good driver support? Oh no, it’s a bunch of people you can barley understand and honestly don’t know anything, you’re better off just googling for some answers because these bozos clearly know nothing. Well if you want to hate what you do and feel taken advantage of this is the right gig for you, if not save yourself from these greedy ride share companies that forgot long ago that the drivers are the only reason these companies have any chance of success. Seriously, don’t drive for them or Uber. Go do DoorDash or instacart

LOVE Lyft but app is glitchy. First let me say I absolutely LOVE driving for Lyft overall. I use Express Drive and it has been overall a really wonderful experience. The app however needs some work. I have a lot of glitching the past few days. Navigation changes in the middle of rides, has frequently not allowed me to accept rides significantly lowering my acceptance rate which affects bonus pay and today I missed over $50 in Ride’s because I had a scheduled pickup and the app sent me all the way across the other side of town and when I called in about these things they said these were glitches but they unfortunately couldn’t do anything about any of it because the rides weren’t canceled they timed out. So I think these issues need to be worked out. I can’t afford for things like this to happen and for Lyft to basically say ‘sorry I know u didn’t do anything to cause this but there’s nothing Lyft can do to help so you’re stuck eating the cost and there’s no guarantee it won’t continue to happen and cost you more $.’ If these issues were fixed I’d give Lyft and the drivers app 5 stars.

Improvement Suggestions!. Ride-Along Mode: experienced drivers can have a dedicated passenger to ride along with them. Increases safety, motivation, and quality time with loved ones. Those passengers would be notified ahead of time of a front seat passenger during their trip InRoute Passenger Pop-up Tip Notifications: halfway through each passenger’s ride, they receive a pop up notification with the opportunity to tip their driver. Pop-up example: “Enjoying your ride? Thank your driver with a token of appreciation for their excellent service and being a key function of helping you and others get to their destinations safely during this pandemic!” Show suggested donations of Fair 10% Good 15% Above and Beyond 20%. Passengers often forget to tip their drivers. This option will provide the perfect time and opportunity for them to reward their drivers. Radius Mode: experienced drivers can preset a radius from where they are (or possibly heading toward) that includes both the pickup and drop-off mileage location per trip. Helps those needing to be at a destination but have time to offer rides without being pulled too far away from their desired vicinity. Hybrid vehicles: experienced drivers can select from a variety of hybrid vehicles on the Express Drive and Flex Drive platforms to reduce greatly their fuel expense and increase their time on the app Landscape Mode: full function of app that adjusts display to landscape view (More to come...)

Bid for runs?. Daily I select scheduled runs. Daily they cancel when I'm on the way. Your Acceptance Rate declines even though you are already on runs when phone 'Pings' with ride requests! Stop the acceptance timer on runs more than 10 minutes away and show us rider pick AND destination! Give us time to make an educated decision on whether or not to accept ride. Lyft procedures are not driver friendly. I was kicked off runs and received low acceptance rate for driving CAREFULLY during our recent ice/snowstorm. You really expect drivers to show up in 5 minutes when driving at 10mph? Really? The world is not San Francisco and drivers during recent and future ice/snowstorms should receive Bonuses for risking their lives! Since I last wrote this I’ve been deactivated. 6 yrs later still don’t know why. I drove for them for 7yrs with higher than 4.9 customer rating. I even bought a nice van after the yearly background passed. 1 1/2 weeks later after earning $500 promo BOOM! I’m deactivated due to background that never changed. Of course there’s nobody to contact.

Improvements: ability to customize preset texts, Download all rides and my data as CSV. I am a driver and need to be able to customize the preset texts. The ones available are not good grammar and I want to be able to personalize the service and let the guest know where I am. I’ve seen it on another app, Favor delivery, where the driver can customize their preset messages for use Also, as a driver I really ask for the ability to download my data to includes variables such as: rides given, tips, fees, ride distance for each ride, etc. All this as a single CSV for lifetime driver stats. Thanks!!! Another needed improvement is that when a rider says “needs service” “safety flag” etc,. Or any other comment, please PLEASE make these clear to the driver after the ride so that we can correct ourselves. How else can we get better unless the feedback is given to us in real time? My car is always clean and I got a “needs service” from a rider. If I had known immediately that they thought it I could have known to look between rides, especially when giving back-to-back rides.

Very disappointed. I have been doing Lyft a few nights and the reason for that is because they have a promotion 140 rides for $2300. But, I am so disappointed with the app, customer based, and rate. Their gps is a gas/mileage burner. These two features make drivers burn gas because it doesn’t lead you to the short cuts as a result, this puts more unnecessary mileage on cars. Their customer based most of them are weird and unprofessional. Some of them coming to your car smelling cigarettes and weed. In my first night, I had few customers who got in my car using profanity over the phones. That night a customer got in the car and started talking to her using profanity. My biggest problem is the pay they’re paying drivers $8 to $10 for 7 or 8 miles. When a request comes up, drivers cannot see the rate and number of miles you will need to complete to earn the money. On top of that, if two requests come up, you don’t pick them up the app will automatically go offline. I don’t know if I will be able to complete this promotion there are to many bumps in the road.

They will cheat you out of your money!. Driving with Lyft you definitely have to read and count your earnings. There was a streak bonus from 10pm-11pm if you do 3 rides you will receive an extra $15. Well I completed my rides and I never received my bonus. I reached out to support and they mentioned they can’t see any streak bonus going on in my area and ask if I could screen shot the streak time and bonus. Well how the Lyft app works it doesn’t allow drivers to go back and see previous streak bonus from previous hour/day, it only shows current and future streaks. So basically it’s impossible to prove that there was a bonus going on. I was dealing with support for over an hr just for a dead end. I highly recommend if you choose to do Lyft unfortunately you will have to screen shot every bonus you do prior to doing so. Because if Lyft screws up and don’t pay out the bonus that’s due to you, And you don’t have a screen shot they won’t assist because they can’t verify all previous streak bonus which is crazy to me. Me personally I would drive with UBER instead because I’ve never had a pay issue.

Don’t be trapped by this hoax... Once you get experience and have excellent rates and know how to make efficient trips according to your strategy like : avoiding poor street areas, very long trips and utilize busy times to increase profits and reduce costs ( efficient utilize of overall trips) and you narrow your acceptance rates ( this is legal and should not impact rates - just will not get rewards- they will start to either support false allegations or fake ones with no merits. This is temporary suspension and the next day they will permanently remove you claiming they made a review of the false allegations and found that you had unsafe act. Main allegations will be : 1.someone other than you was driving your car and 2.you were driving under influence. While those allegations have no merits, even if you submit videos and evidences of that voids these allegations, they will still sustain them! If you want to work as slave, take this job. Just do t think that you will be hero or you will make good profit with cost effective trip management. They will haunt you once you are effectively managing with false allegations. If you rent a car then they deactivate you, you will be in loss!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had an issue recently (June 21, 2019 to be exact) and I addressed the issue with an agent via text (which is dumb as well because we NEVER SPEAK TO ANYONE). The guy kept throwing me polices from a book like he was reciting the pledge of allegiance. As I told him I already knew the policy but my situation was different because the APP WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO PLACE SOMEONE AS A NO SHOW if you aren’t at the pickup location. I explained to him and as they can see already the location had me in the woods. Not in the woods and there was people house in the woods where there was only a 2 way street either north or south and nothing but trees and ditches for approximately 4-5 miles. From the start the address was unnamed but I just assumed someone car may have broken down or something. I get there and on top of my 4 minute wait I wait 6 extra minutes after a 23 minute ride to get there to not be paid because I could only cancel and not d a no show. AGAIN because the location was somewhere I had no way to get to and in order to do a no show I had to be by the pick up. I wanted some type of reimbursement for my long drive plus wait and I got NOTHING. I hate lyft now! Don’t do it it happened to me twice and they say it’s my fault.

Necessary updates. 1. Needs to factor in DC traffic direction changes on weekdays before and after work hours. For example, Rock Creek Parkway becomes a one way during certain hours. 2. When you apply a stay in area filter and then remove the filter and then reapply the filter, it will often give you a ride beyond the filter as soon as you reapply it. 3. Needs to day "keep left" or "keep right" at forks and not just leave you hanging. Really, the directions need to be so clear that one could get to a destination purely by audio only. Google maps works this way. 4. When ride switching is enabled and a direction filter is active, then once you accept a ride, your ride may be switched without consideration to direction. This defeats the purpose of the filter and leads to drivers cancelling unwanted switched rides. 5. Needs to allow riders to save drivers so they can request them in the future if they are in the area. 6. Needs to provide cardinal direction when new rides are offered during a current ride. There needs to be a better way to know where the next ride is going before the current one ends to reduce drivers dropping rides once they drop off pax and get a better picture of the next ride. Also, needs to not block important final directions when trying to drop off pax. 7. Needs to immediately proceed to navigation on swiping to pick up pax to avoid having to click the navigate button while driving. Default should be navigate instead o route overview.

In debt because of Lyft. Hello, I am a full time student that not too long ago was working for Lyft. Everything was perfect, I liked working when I had time and it really helped me to pay the bills. One day I was in an accident while driving for Lyft and my vehicle was totaled. Weeks later I called Lyft and ask them about the status of my account, the Lyft representative told me that my account was active and that I don’t have to worry about getting a new car. I even told him year, make, and model just to be sure I can use that car to drive for Lyft and he checked and say that the car was perfect. I told him -ok thats the car Im going to buy (cost after state tax about $16,000) and I purchase a vehicle. Around one week after purchasing the vehicle my Lyft account was cancelled. They didn’t even send me an email or nothing. I call them but they didn’t answer. I submitted a ticket with no answer. I even tried contacting them via facebook and they don’t answer. Now I need to pay for this car that I don’t really need because it was purchased to user for Lyft. P.s. i live in a college town and other platforms are not very popular here. I don’t want Lyft to pay for my vehicle, I just one them to activate my account again.

Increase the pay already.. I like the idea of gig work. I like they now show you what you’ll earn prior to accepting a ride which is important being a independent contractor. What I don’t like is the compensation for rides, especially in cities, is atrocious. Your pay for meter time is a joke and if you get stuck in traffic or long pick ups, the pay is just too low. The app provides the service of what a taxi does, does it significantly better than a taxi, but charges people less? Why not the same or competitive as a taxi? Why not pay drivers more that way? And most importantly, instead of just paying every driver a fair compensation for Every ride, they run promotions to bonuses once you hit a certain amount of rides enticing you to try and get a bonus you might not receive if it gets slow screwing you on taking lower pay offers trying to get there. Just pay everyone fairly for every ride and increase the dang fares in the cities! They are way too low! We’ll make more money, you’ll make more money, and just stop with the gimmicks and make it straight forward!

Lyft they share my confidential information. I’m opening a Lyft account and my wife was trying to refer me yesterday but it says invalid information and my account has been suspended. We contacted support team but no one has resolved the problem yet. One of the lyft costumer services I was talking about my issue I told him why when I send a costumer services request through the app it’s sent on my wife email but I’m using another email address he told me ok go check your wife email I told him it’s confidential how did you guys share my information with out my permit and now you told me go check your wife email address about your issues this is a big mistake I have a screenshot of the conversation with this costumer services and he was saying you have invalid information I told him kindly let me know my invalid information hi text me like this ( go check your wife email we sent you your information over there) My social security number and my drivers license it was sent to everyone in the world 🌎 lyft share my confidence information with everyone My background check was approved. I didnt even finish the process of opening the account up. How is it possible to suspend it with just saying invalid information.

Lyft app & GPS. Theory is always perfect until reality shows up. The drivers scoring feature is not only unfair but it’s also impractical and unrealistic. Phone mounting on the right side of the steering wheel for a right handed driver is as well a perfect scenario until your phone mount is on the left side of the steering wheel then an issue occurs. Trying to maneuver the workings on a smart phone with the left hand of a right handed driver becomes a highly difficult feat to achieve without pulling the phone out of the mount which will call for pulling over in a busy traffic in order to orientate to resolving the problem. The most annoying is the gps taking a wrong long way when a much shorter and quicker route is a few feet away as local knowledge etc. To follow the drivers scoring feature in this Las Vegas roadways is a totally waste and unfair measure of a safe and smart driving. The arrive screen will not open unless you take the exact long way that always create a new problem etc. There’s just too many errors to visit in such an unrealistic and unfair platform.

Locking Up On Me Lately. Over been using the Lyft Driver app for over 3 years now. While I may not entirely like the way Lyft chooses to do some things compared to Uber, in general the app has historically worked well. But lately (after recent updates) I’ve encountered app issues where the app sometimes runs sluggishly when I navigate, or start/stop rides. Even when I have no other apps running, it might take a minute or so for the app to start navigating after I swipe to start the ride. Not a good look to my passengers when I pick them up and it takes so long for the app to clue me in on my destination! And recently the app has taken to freezing up on me before I even am able to go online for rides. It freezes so thoroughly that I can’t even switch screens/apps, close the app, ahut down the display or even turn off my iPhone! This is the only app that I have that exhibits this undesirable behavior. Thanks to this unpredictable dependability, I rarely drive for Lyft anymore. I don’t like freeze-ups and sluggish app response.

What is the point of Scheduled Pickups?. More than once I have had the frustration g experience of signing into the App (as directed) to be online for my “scheduled pickup”. As soon as I sign in, the app starts sending me rides that ARE NOT my scheduled pickup. Because I am dutifully headed toward “my scheduled pickup” I do not accept the random rides. This OF COURSE negatively affects my acceptance score! Yesterday - I left home at 4:15 am and crossed a toll bridge to head to a scheduled pickup. Once I got to the rider’s block - I noted that the scheduled pickup had disappeared. As another LYFT driver pulled up, I asked - are you here for a person that had requested a scheduled pickup? He was there for the pickup that had disappeared from my queue (I assume Because I had declined several rides in sequence in order to arrive to the “scheduled pickup”. ) In situation like this I am out the $6.00 till and the 8 miles of gas to arrive to a ride that was taken from me. (Not cancelled by passenger - just moved from my queue)

Lyft Driver. In the State of North Carolina, Piedmont Triad area. The app is missing rides I have completed. Navigation gets totally confused in parking lots and tight street situations. It will also navigate me to a freeway, expressway, highway and or parkway and once I have committed, it wants me to make a U-Turn to get back on course. The wasted gas and time is getting to be too much. Customers/riders will tell me often not to follow Navigation and they will direct me ti their destination. I have noticed and unable to prove missing rides I have completed. I will screen shoot each ride before I accept one ever again. Also since I am Gold standard bow and promised to have 24/7 Phone Support- there is No Phone Number anywhere. The app is also showing my car as a station wagon and I have a 4-door Sedan. There is no one to help because there is bo phone number or ability to change the picture or email with anyone responding capable of helping with these and more issues. Where the support phone number?!

Issues that need fixing. I have been driving for Lyft a little over two months, and these issues are still on going. I thought maybe the app would fix it with updates however, I was wrong. 1. First week went great, my buddy had his feedback button right away. I figured if I waited a week for my first results it would come to the app for me. I have still not had this option 🤷🏼‍♂️ .. 2. Before I pick up a ride it is suppose to show how long the ride is estimated to see if it’s worth it, have NOT received this option either. 3. The GPS needs fixing because it keeps bringing me to the back of buildings where my customer is not! Lastly.. I could not pick up one of my customers due to an issue that happened in town, she had to walk to me. And she got in & it didn’t register that she was with me or an option to say she walked to me. She had to cancel the ride and hope 🤞🏼 that I was the ride because she was late to work already for the state of emergency issue! Please fix! I love the app , love working for myself. Great way to earn money for yourself the way you would like, making your own hours. Thank you for your time.

It’s Ok. If you are looking to make a couple extra bucks on the weekend it works just fine. As long as you get decent riders you will be ok. With that being said, if you have to deal with there support department then I wish you good luck. First off you can’t call to talk to anyone so if you have a particular situation that really needs explaining over phone you can’t. Everything is done thru email. Their support reps are like robots and only will respond with genetic responses. I had a rider spill and entire 32oz coke in my back seat; and because I had another rider waiting on me in my cue, that I had to go pick up immediately after I hit drop off, I wasn’t able to report the incident until after the other ride was completed. They denied my claim because I didn’t report after the ride; even though I could not report because of the other rider waiting. Future driver I wish you good luck. I for one will not be driving anymore sense Lyft doesn’t seem to care for their drivers. The front line to their customers. The driver are not happy the customers aren’t happy.

Lyft doesn’t care about their drivers. I’ve used Lyft for 5-6 months now with no issues, might have even given them 5 stars until what happened recently. A rider sent a complaint of an accident but the rider is safe, I am safe and the car is fine. Not really an issue, I could send proof and the problem goes away. At least that’s what I thought, I waited over a week for an email and I got no response. I direct messaged them and called them several times and they’ve all said the same thing, “we will transfer you to the proper team” and they never transferred me. At this point I’m starting to think the proper team doesn’t exist or doesn’t care about their drivers at all. I wasn’t able to work for a whole week and I can’t even contact the proper team to explain the situation. I even went to their office and their inept representatives there said they can’t help with this issue. Why even have customer service representatives if they can’t help solve basic issues like these. Never in my life have I seen a company be completely incapable of helping people with an issue they have.

Not professional. My experience with Lyft is not good at all. The way they deal with drivers is terrible. They deactivate you, blame you for everything and make you feel the worst person ever just because some passenger didn’t wanna pay no show fee and lied about you. You’re the one who got to prove otherwise, cause Lyft will not care, customer support extremely unprofessional. Unfortunately I had to deal with their customer service, they literally don’t care or often just don’t even know the right answer, customer service agents will try to ignore your question or give confusing answers. The pay is not great at all, actually you will realize that some days you’re loosing. Just consider these expenses: gas, wear&tear, taxes, food, drinks etc. it’s just not worth it because you waste your time. Lyft been decreasing rates for drivers, while passengers pay more, drivers don’t get surge prices no more, while passengers do. Had a passenger after a game, it took me 50 minutes just to get to the passenger, he told me that Lyft charges him $85 for the ride, I just got $14. I could be talking about more disgusting stories from Lyft, but I hope you got the idea. It’s the way they handle it, it’s unprofessional.

Integrated map. Cool new feature that integrates the Google Map into this one. Would very much appreciate if it is done completely, as it is unclear in its current form. Telling me to “turn right in 400 ft,” then telling me to “turn right” without names and places, especially when there are several alternatives simultaneously, is a bit confusing. Second note, don’t know if it’s related, but still in maps: had a passenger last night with a stop on his way home. As we got to first stop, a market, I asked if he was just doing a quick stop, he said yes. Told him he could add in another stop so he wouldn’t have to wait for another ride. He did. As he went inside I marked the 1st stop as arrived and the map for the second appeared along with icon, “ready to go.” He got in, icon pressed, and as we were leaving the map was there ~without directions~. It was close and we both knew where we were going so the ride went w/o a hitch. But this glitch definitely could have caused some issues if we didn’t know.

Bad experience, terrible customer service. If you have even a small issue don’t expect anyone to want to help you. You can’t reach anyone via phone, only email and it takes days for them to respond. If you do get someone to respond it’s typically a rude response after 24 hours (you only get one email per day and it usually doesn’t contain any relevant information). Do not recommend. Trying a second round of driving at issues are still pretty bad. You can’t technically deny a ride without it negatively effecting you but if you take every ride offered to you the algorithm doesn’t take in to account which WAY you are driving and typically wants you to turn around whilst on the highway to pick up a passenger that they quoted a 4 minute pick up in rush hour traffic. Expect to drive 10 minutes in the opposite way and when you’re about 2 minutes away from pick up the client will cancel the ride and you will not be issued a cancellation fee because lyft quote the wrong eta. That or be magic and be able to cover 12 minutes of rush hour distance in 4 minutes. But then again if you were magic you wouldn’t be considering such a terrible way to spend your days

After 5 years of driving I’m happy but I’m not. I don’t have so much negative things compare to Uber. I think Lyft is a better company. Do they need increase pay per mile. Yes they do. My onlyFrustration is this whole ETA non sense. How you won’t get paid because you didn’t show up according to ETA. Like if passengers are ever ready anyways. I also believe they need to stop switching rides when we are less the. 3 minutes away just to go 15 minutes another way. I feel like they just taking my hard earn money. I also believe Lyft needs to have passengers check or click on number of passengers they have so they can get a better ride. So many time have I arrived in my van and people try to get 5 6 people in a regular Lyft without ordering Lyft XL. It’s not fair to the driver to be dealing with this nonsense. You can make it where the passenger say I have 3 people. When the driver i arrives he verifies that it is 3 people. If not the trip cancels automatically and driver gets paid for wasting time.

Lyft Driver 5 years. I’ve be a Lyft driver for 5 years Full time, like any jobs there are pro and cons, I had a few issue with lyft from being deactivated from losing out on streak bonus and bonus. What I learned from the 5 years is , have both Uber and lyft just in case one has delays. Don’t be to money hungry like trying to make it to the bonus zones. Because a lot time it despairs Just set your goal for the day and work. Of course timing plays a lot of how much you could make, so you really have to mess around with the times you drive, the time of year and so fourth. Driving in Rhode Island, Florida, Massachusetts. I make the most on Friday Saturday, especially Sunday. And mostly at night time from 10pm - 5 am. Weekdays 3:30 am- 10 am. Is when I make the most. You have to like driving, and remember you have other lives in your hand so being alert is a must, being patient is a must . So I hope this helps people out there using this app.

Stellar Service. I’ve been driving for Lyft off and on since September 2015, back when the Driver & Rider app were one and the same and airport pickups weren’t even allowed. Since then the Lyft experience has steadily improved. Each update has improved the app, and it’s very easy to figure out what you need. Most valuable (IMO), is that you can actually speak to a RLHB) Real Live Human Being) within minutes. I’ve been in a car accident, had someone vomit in my car, had someone be just plain mean, someone leave valuable items, and each time I would use the app to get help and always, always, always, I get a response in a timely manner, whether via email or a phone call. Improvements/Suggestions 1) I would not mind having a feature that allows you to know if the ride in your queue is longer than 45 minutes 2) I also would not mind if when we get an address, we also have a city listed for those times when the app is loading or glitches and you don’t know where to go. Knowing the city you’re going to can at least provide you with some semblance of direction to drive towards until the app works. Two more things I think would be cool (and passengers also have said this) are as follows: 1) It would be nice to be able to request your favorite driver(a) 2) the ability to be able to request a female driver (as a woman I often hear this from other women). Overall, the app and lyft are amazing and I’m certain will only improve.

Driver. Whoever the people are that work for Lyft drivers support most are untrained and unprofessional and prejudice. I been driving for over 2.5 years, 5 star ratings . just recently I received an email stated rider said I wouldn’t let them leave and ask them for personal information. This makes absolutely no sense, if I’m going to ask a rider for information it will be before they enter my car not before they leave. And the representative call June email me without no clear details of exactly what the rider said happen , so that I can probably find out which rider could have fabricated this lie just to get a refund from them at the cost of tempering with someone income. They deactivated my account. I’ll definitely get a lawyer for you guys. Drivers get paid less then 50percent of what you guys charge riders, you don’t pay our insurance, we drive our own car, how dare you treating a fellow human being with such an injustice act. When both Lyft and Uber no longer in business, they will be taking taxi paying more than twice what they’re paying now, they will learn a lesson.

Lyft needs to be more supportive and not assume things when you don’t take a ride. I have driven for Uber for a year and a half and in the last month just began driving for lyft after a Lyft sales person took an Uber ride with me just to sell me, which I found very sneaky and weird. So far I have several complaints. Number one, if I don’t take a ride it’s because I can’t take my eyes off the road or, maybe more importantly, my lift volume will not talk to me either on the phone or through the car, so I missed rides unless I see them which I shouldn’t be seeing them because my eyes are on the road. I have had to do everything without sound so far where with Uber and everything else the volume goes nice and neatly through my car. I’m going to call them, because my phone speakers work just fine under any other circumstance.. But I keep getting messages that I’m not excepting enough rides. Everyone works at their own pace for one thing, and if I miss a ride it’s not just because I’m being a slacker. I’m out there to drive. I’m not out there to say no to drives! Lyft, lighten up!

Unfair to drivers. Firstly, the amount offered to drivers is usually not worth it but for a lot of people in certain markets, it’s inevitable to deny what may be the only ride at the moment. Surge zones are always there until you’re there (drivers know what I’m talking about) why try and lure drivers into a place of high demand and take away the surge that brought them into that area firstly, also if a rider is getting a ride in a surge zone, the bonus should automatically be added to the ride. Wait time should be down to 3 minutes, not 5. Also, anybody in a place where codes are required for entrance, should be held accountable for providing us with those codes, otherwise we can’t reach the pin and are unable to get our cancel fee due to not being close enough. Also, turbos are 9/10 not worth anything as stated, the base earnings seem to drop during turbo time and turbo just brings it back to what it originally would be, why even offer 10% turbos, it’s usually just adding a couple cents. Also, putting the high % turbos during high demand hours, but Lyft puts them during hours they know people don’t use the app. Be fair to drivers please

Good app! Could use a few more features and usability enhancements.. Overall, the Lyft driver app is really well done. The interface is intuitive, quick to respond, and works pretty reliably. However, I do think a few things could be improved: 1) Better handling of internet connectivity loss. This can be a very stressful situation when driving in areas of bad cell phone connection, and I wish the Lyft app would handle those situations more gracefully. 2) Ability to dismiss *messages* or notices to drivers. It’s kinda irritating to me that I can’t swipe away or delete these notifications like you can with other apps. My OCD knows that I’ve already seen them! 3) A CarPlay app would be FANTASTIC. I don’t know if this is even possible with how Apple’s framework works, but the ability to interface with the app via CarPlay would be incredible, and safer for both the rider and driver. It could work similarly to how the Amp displays the riders name, etc, but with more information. I think there is a lot of cool functionality that is being left on the table. 4) night mode pls bb 5) More functionality when stopped in driver mode. It’s irritating that much of the apps functionality goes away when in driver mode. I’m sure this is to reduce distractions, but I think more should be available when you’re not moving or with a passenger. Overall tho - keep it up team! You’re doing a good job.

I like it. I like the idea of separate apps for riders and passagers but as that happened i was looking for more features as one app would load up a lot of a heavy download two app would be more easier to do so but it did not fulfill my expectations as the only thing i love lyft and thats why my 5 star rating is that you can get some schedule pickup in advance as that makes me feel like a responsibility for me To go out and work and this is good because there should be a lot of people that takes this “your own boss” too seriously but they are what they think a boss would do nothing of work well this might help people to motovate themselves to go out and work i know it does to me no because of the boss thing but more of the prime time that is i dont see any busy pink map i just said that there is no one and i dont go out but having one schedule that makes you go out encourage people to think positive and work well they out of house already why not

Great other than BS Offers. It’s an easy way to make a few extra dollars, But they do lie to get you to drive during certain time frames, for instance lately they have been offering $25 streak bonus which means you have to do 5 rides in a row with out decline rides or missing them (which y can miss just because of an bad signal because it only gives you like 10 seconds max and sometimes after hitting accept your phone will show loading screen for a couple of seconds and make you miss the ride even if no one else has even gotten it yet. What really has run me the wrong way is yesterday they said I missed a ride right before my streak ended and it was a total lie I never even received a ride notification when they claimed I didn’t accept it, and the time before then I was on my way to pick up the rider and they some how gave another driver the ride while I was on the way and even though it’s nothing I could’ve done to prevent that it broke my streak one ride before finishing so I feel like it’s an complete scam to get drivers to drive during a time that there aren’t many driver

Why do you withhold tools from drivers. I have access to several beta programs for Lyft and in the last year my normal application never gets the tools that are in the beta while drivers I know are getting them. It is absurd that Lyft as a publicly traded company plays games with drivers. Since the pandemic Lyft has also screwed CA drivers more and more by lowering earnings in a guise of guaranteed earnings. But let me ask this question if you are driving a luxury car do you believe that guarantees are a good thing? Passengers have started telling drivers in most CA areas what they are paying on a ride and what is sickening is that lyft is paying less than 40% of the charge to drivers in most areas. In some areas it goes as low as 25%! Is this fair to drivers or the destruction of their vehicles? Look at the CA gas prices and tell me how a 75 mile ride paying $60 is even remotely fair when time is factored in the ride is not really paying $60 it is more like Lyft pays .10 cents for every 5 min on the road. Yuck

Been over a year no surge bonus streak. I’ve been calling lyft & asking them to help me with an issue I was having with the app …. My home is pa … i was getting the “ bonuses streaks surges heat whatever they’re called “ I went to ga for my mothers funeral & signed up to drive down there for extra money for the 3 weeks I was there … there as well I was getting it all … once I went back home, I haven’t gotten any of it …. They tell me it’s because the drivers card is set up personally per driver & everything is different per driver … I had it when I left I had it when I was down south as soon as I left ga it was like I got nothing extra & lost everything …. I even said if they’d take the time & fix it I’d leave all my other apps & stay only on this app …. I got zero help .. the other crappy thing is, it doesn’t tell me if the rider I am going to pick up is staying in the area or is going to a whole other state till they’re in the vehicle … usually leaving the area you lose out on so much money & time, that it’s not even worth doing because it come all the way back on your dime because your not allowed to find something to make money on the way home ….

Unprofessional idiots don’t trust them. I worked as a driver for Lyft for about 5 years until the pendemic happened the I had a very sickly wife at the time that had a stroke with two kids This was my only job at the time they and I was the only one providing for my family they said they sent me a notification not to work on two days which I did not see or received until they called me so they fired me because I worked on those two days I think all I did was went online or off they fired me for working and permanently banned me from working now keep I mind at the time I had a wife that could not walk and two kids now fast forward two years later they still have other people working through the pendemic they put me and my family life endanger buy not allowing me to provide for my family I would not trust them as far as I could throw them were is legal justice when you need it yes I do work hard with them and pay my taxes with them as well they did not temporarily stop me from working and and compensated on my down time they completely band me and stop me from working while others were able to provide for there family I think they need to be disciplined for that

Annoyed driver. Hi everyone, I have been driving for Lyft nearly 5 years have 13k rides and I’m a 5 star driver, but just lately the app has become very driver unfriendly, all phone numbers have been removed months ago even the safety one, all email contact isn’t available now so your left with chat that’s slow at best if someone is there to help you, and most of the time it’s not helpful at all. I drive in the LA area and here we still have the mask mandate but too many riders still persist in not wearing one, so as per cdc recommended action I cancel, they also still want to put as many people in they want to squeeze in and in my car I’m allowed 3 riders in the back seat so anymore than 3 riders I cancel as per instructions. Now I’m being told I’m at risk of suspension if I cancel anymore rides and I have tried everything I know to find out why I’m being threatened because I’m following the rules, my advice to ANYONE considering signing up to drive for Lyft is DONT they don’t give a hoot about there drivers, passengers are always right and unless you have video with audio forget about ever being right with Lyft. If you do sign up be prepared to let riders in not wearing a mask etc

No Live Customer Service UNSAFE. Today I turned on Lyft for the first time in a while to get a promotion that was offered. The app itself worked fine… BUT, during a ride it added a ride to my queue that was a 237 mile ride. I didn’t know until I picked him up and slid the slider to pick him up. I couldn’t take a ride this far! But, there is NO WAY to know when they add a ride to your queue any details about it, including the star rating. The customer had paid $215 which was all he had to get to his destination. When I canceled his money was not refunded. This put me in a VERY BAD SITUATION. The customer did nothing to me but was obviously very upset. I tried calling several numbers to try to get them to request another driver but there was NO LIVE HELP available. When I tried to text them I kept getting “Try Again Later”. IT TOOK TWO HOURS FOR THE TEXT SYSTEM TO WORK AND SOMEONE TO RESPOND. This is VERY UNSAFE for drivers. We need customer service available to us 24/7. Another cost cutting measure from corporate America to screw the front line workers over.

Horrible company, apologies to the Dev team. If you’re driving or considering driving for this company you need to stop right now and consider another career or option. They provide a (horrible) GPS (when there are multiple free GPS’s available for free) and take 60% of every single ride you do for them. The executives are laughing at the fact that they invest zero into their “employees” while making those same “employees” pay for the vehicles, vehicle depreciation, wear and tear, gas, taxes (fares do not have taxes deducted), tires, brakes etc. They even take a portion of cancellation fees when you drive all the way to pick someone up and they cancel while you’re waiting outside the pickup location. The only time I use this app is when I’m using location filters to potentially find fares on the way to a destination in which I’m already headed. But even that, their best feature, they limit to 2 rides per day. Uber has a lot of the same issues but is still a much better option. On the flip side, the dev team does a good job and probably doesn’t deserve the 1 star, but there is no other way of rating this awful company and stopping drivers from signing up.

It has its days!. The app has it days when it can be great and at its worse. That's why I rated it a 3 star due to the neutral feeling towards the app. I am a driver and recently the app has been working on a mind of its own. For example: I arrived at a location to pick up a passenger then slide ARRIVED, when the passenger got into my vehicle I slide PICKUP and the ride was canceled and then stated it was canceled by me (the driver). So, end up taking the passenger home without pay. Also, there are many times I am not on a ride or location and it still states I am in that area or on that ride and I am in a totally different ride and far away from the location it still has me in. I out the option on to flash rides and it comes off by itself along with turning me online by itself! I also, experienced always have to do troubleshooting due to nothing is wrong with my account with Lyft however I am not receiving ride request for hours, and having to uninstall and install the app over and over multiple times in the day to get ride request when I never had a issue in the 10 mths that I have been driving for Lyft.

So buggy and unprofessional. I have a thing for the underdog, started driving Lyft instead of Uber on a whim and did so for like a year, but even with this massive head start of arbitrary brand loyalty, Lyft finally lost me. I tried to start driving again after some time living abroad without a car, and the process is insanely buggy— I can’t delete my old car (which i don’t own anymore) so the app keeps asking me for its insurance and registration information; the background check says it will take a month, then the next day it says you’re approved, then the next week it says sorry you were rejected. Made me look back and realize that it was always a spotty experience driving for the platform (no transparency if you were about to drive 25 minutes out of your way for a 3-minute ride; a weird and hard to control system where your next ride is auto-approved while you’re driving; etc). Working with these guys is like calling customer support for a Wish order and it’s truly astonishing that they have kept hot on the heels of the mighty Uber with this level of mess. Time to finally switch.

A Company of Fools. Nothing but idiots and imbeciles make up the customer service department of Lyft. The fact that this company has 4 different partners and doesn’t communicate with any of them is complete clownery and buffoonery. The rental car I had from Express Drive, Flex Drive, ARI or whatever the hell you want to call it, broke down two weeks ago. The car ended up at the manufacturer’s dealership pending approval either repair or to retire the car. It’s taking two weeks and beyond to resolve this things and running out patience and I’ve had up to the rim with these people as a whole. The folks at Lyft keep emailing to to return the car. Returning it to where? All the HuBs are closed because of the coronavirus! The card doesn’t run, the transmission is out! They keep trying to charge my card over $375. What for? I haven’t been able to work and I’m not paying for a car that I have been able to use. I have been getting emails left and right from Lyft on this stuff and I’ve explained the situation about 10 times already. These people either don’t take notes or they are disorganized and don’t pay attention! I’m DONE!

Lyft driver review. This is me lyft driver and we work tighter as a team but driver not treated as main key force for this business, when ever they want to block a driver when ever they want to compensate you or not it’s up to them there is no one to check and balance for situations between lyft as company and driver as a employee, I had indecent happened in NewYork and I report that through channel wise and one of my support team member block and close that case to says that lyft is not responsible for your car cosmetics damages if passenger do tensional or intentionally , but I check lyft policy it’s against that decision, they policy is that passenger will pay for the damage if driver provide the damaged prove to send pictures which I did I have police report as well but who care about drivers no one so end of this ( my passenger break my car partition which is installed between passenger and drivers as well as she break my tablet which I installed in back seat for passenger entertainment) I dot need that money I just requested that she have to learn lesson for next time when she react again with other drivers. Thanks all please read this and give some reaction for society.
