Fantastic. Love this game so much! I'am the typical person, that downloads games to my phone, to play for the time to go by, and when I get bored I just delete and find something else. Buttttt this is by far one of the best games on the App store! If yall could just add some little perks to it. Maybe power ups, Armour, explosives, boss encounters, etc! That would be cool, but other than that, its perfect!

Addicting. Overall it's a lot of fun and their should be more weapons and character customization. Also the music in the beginning sounds like Far Cry 3s music.

Needs more stuff. This game is fun, but things need to be added to it. Music in the background, more weapons, and possibly power ups like speed or invincibility. But it is fun, so I would recommend it

Used to be fun. I've been playing this gave for a year or more. I built up my weapons by earning coins and had a respectable high score. The game was responsive and fun. All of that ended with the last update. I've lost all of my progress and high score, the weapons fail to fire effectively much of the time. It's suddenly not fun. I hope there's a fix coming soon.

FIX THE CONTROLS!!!. The game itself is fun and addicting, but what's the point when the controls are unresponsive and buggy? You can easily get 5 stars for a great but highly-flawed game, but you can just as easily get 1 star for a simple fix in the controls. That alone makes this game broken.

Amazing. Amazing game! I love the graphics and the music! Need more guns though and would be nice if the run didn't go all the way back to the start every time.

Is this the whole game?. I see a lot if potential, but hardly any gameplay. Like, only four weapons, two of which being default. I feel like this should be a wip, and not a released game.

Excellent. UPDATE: The controls are much more fine tuned and precise. Thank you!!! This is only a preview of Jane Mad Run, and I'll be purchasing it as soon as it hits the store. This dev listens and has put this out there to make sure the "sequel" (of sorts....well, the actual release of the game) is fine-tuned and a day 1 success. Kudos guys, this game already rocks, can't wait for the full game!!!

Really well made app. The overall game is really entertaining and fun. It really is well made. Hopefully we get to play on different level maps in the future.

A excellent pixel run and gun. Controls are simple and gameplay is enjoyable. Although there are only 2 weapons you can buy so far the can be upgraded with coins you collect during your runs. The weapons and upgrades are surprisingly affordable which isn't very common with most arcade games and you can get a ton of coins from your runs. You face things like lava, lasers, swat and army, buzz saws and other threats. May this game be a example to other producers

Fun but flawed. This game is a fun time killer, however as stated in other reviews, all progress including records and purchases reset every time the app closes. Another thing worth mentioning is that the knife/sword stops working after about 2 or 3 runs which is very annoying because it happens in the middle of a run. These issues need to be fixed before this game deserves more stars.

Terrible. First when you like them on FB, it doesn't unlock anything. Second, when you try and move up and down, half of the time it doesn't work. I thought it was just me but after looking at other reviews I found that others had the same problem. Third, it's very boring and almost never changes.

Fun run and gun. Very worth the down load. Over all a good game but the controls need a little work, changing platforms is not always recognized with the up and down swipe witch is a very important part of the game needs to be more responsive!

Excellent. One of the best endless runners to come out in a very long time. Minimal IAPs and great gameplay make for an experience thats hard to put down

I love this game but..... I've been playing like crazy and now when I get multiple kills it doesn't flash the letters or play audio (example: quadra kill!! or insane!!!). Seems like it's not giving me as many points as before too I don't know if the two are related but great game otherwise. Please find a fix that was a great part to the game.

Upgrade.. Needs more weapons and maybe,just maybe character upgrades such as health or something, also, make it change scenery, sewers are depressing.

Fun game, but.... Enjoyable action (even if the gun doesn't always seem to fire), but it doesn't save when you close the app. Any purchases, records, coins collected, etc. are back at zero the next time you open the app. Fix that, and this goes to four stars.

Very Addictive. Okay so I Got the game and spent a whole night playing it yeah yeah yeah... It's very addict ing but with little content adding more baddies would be a good idea and also more guns like there could be one baddie where if you get to close to him he leaps out with a blade and such. Also you could insert a boss like all traps are deactivated and it's just you and the boss. For example the boss could be in the back of the truck throwing barrels on different levels of the track. I hope the devs read thins review and I really recommend this game.

Fun, needs work.. So, I'm not listing pros because there are too many. Anyway, -Cons .needs control improvement, I find myself unable to jump due to response issues. This goes for all the actions, I find myself dying extremely quickly because I wouldn't shoot/knife/jump/etc. -mo guns, mo costumes, mo music, mo enemies, MO! It needs more things! I want to buy new hats and costumes and music and find new enemies and buy BA guns and all that! That's all my problems, other than that, I'm very pleased.

Meh. This game is really fun and I love it a lot. But I don't know if this is just for me... But every time I close the app it resets the data money score everything. So that why it get three stars if this was different than it would probably be five stars

More responsiveness required. The Game is good and addictive. But it gets frustrating to have to slide up and down on a touch screen. With an iphone 5 and no screen protectant the screen is still non responsive at times to these sudden up down movements required during the game. IMO add a button to jump up and down instead of a slide option or have both to serve slide lovers. That needs to be rectified first and foremost.

Great game, love improvement. I love the game so much, but some adjustments could make it better. I know that it just came out, but it's annoying that sometimes I attempt to jump and the swipe won't work the first time, maybe a bug? Also, you are probably working on this but more weapons! It brings tears to my eyes that I can only get a ninja sword and a destructive laser of awesomeness ;(

Great fun. This is a great game. Very fun and addictive, if a little premature. I noticed a few bugs that got me stuck on the lowest level, unable to jump. It happened early in a run so it wasn't a huge deal, but if you are far into a run I can see it getting very frustrating. There were also some response time issues, times when I would slice a guy and it wouldn't register, jumps wouldn't connect, things where it seemed like the game got overwhelmed and couldn't keep up. But in spite of those issues I can't stop playing. The only thing it's missing is more weapons and costumes. Can't wait for more updates!

Bruh. Fun and simple little game but only half of my game displays so I have limited vision on what is happening. If you could fix this bug I would love to give 5 stars

Great Game, Good Content. This game is a really fun time killer, but I really wish there were more than 4 weapons to choose from, like set a 3 weapons carried maximum but have a library of multiple weapons. Perhaps try to put this into a future update?

Really good game, hope it keeps getting better. This really fun simple pixel game is really addicting. But could you maybe add some more weapons, maybe outfits or even better maybe a skill tree so that the game it can be even more awesome?! Awesome game, hope for some awesome updates.

Awesome game, just needs more content. Great game, super addicting. I can't stop playing because of how fun it is. There are a few bugs where I couldn't jump and I had to exit my game, but I didn't get too far in that run. The katana is cool but it needs either wider range or a fix if it's a bug because you have to be literally spot-on close to kill enemies. If you're half a second off, you miss and the enemy hits you. There also needs to be more weapons with alternate costumes and levels because that update will be the one to make this game truly awesome.

Excellent Game!!. The game itself had the potential of earning 5 stars, but the swipe controls WERE terrible. I'm so glad the developers fixed them in the latest update. Really enjoying the game now!!

Good game, but I have a few suggestions. I love your game, I can't put it down. But it's getting old fast. I encountered a bug where when I swipe in the right side of the screen my sword doesn't deploy. I can't do melee at all, so I have to close the app open up the task manager and reset the app that way to get it to return to normal. Another suggestion I have is that you add something more, missions, power ups, more guns... Something. Maybe even make some harder foes that take two shots to kill. The have a gun to unlock that it only takes one shot from to kill the harder enemy previously mentioned. Just a suggestion. The game looks great by the way, I love the feel of it.

I want to give this a 5 star review but......almost there. Well, let's start with what I do like. Not many ads, Fun gameplay, a nod to games of old; Doom, Mario, Contra etc.... But it's totally worthless because you lose ALL progress every time the app closes. It's also full of bugs in the game itself; loss of sound, can't use knife/sword etc..... Once these issues are fixed it would be a great app. A good way to pass ten minutes at best. After the update, I'm upping my rating from 2 to 4 stars. Thankfully you can now save your progress and upgrades. Still though, on occasion you will lose control of secondary weapon... but you don't lose progress when you restart.

Bloody violent and addictive. Just repetitive enough to be easy to pick up, but fast paced so its still challenging. The music is fantastic, think 80's dramatic action shooter with a video game tech sound. My new favorite game. My wife hates it.

John Mad Run. I saw this on steam green light and saw that they are making a sequel of this game. I love the idea but every time I close the app I loose all my progress like weapons, upgrades, coins, and high scores, so please make a save option or an auto save option. Also sometimes the green army guys who have the pistols that shoot at you shoot before they are even on the screen and before they pull their gun from their underpants so please fix that bug.

Great, but..... Great game, but seriously I'm going to throw my phone if I die one more time because it didn't recognize I was shooting. It's not an ammo issue, it's a sensitivity issue. Please fix this. I love the game, but augh this bug makes me want to strangle woodland creatures

Controls. This is a great game and is very addictive, but sadly the controls seem to be too similar. For example, when I want to melee, John switches guns instead. Or when I want to jump, he uses melee. Once there is an update improving the controls or giving us an option to change them, I will bump up my rating to a 5.

Good game idea, but poor handling. The original idea of this game is great. I have been searching for a game like this for a long time. The settings and difficulty are also fine for this game. But the handling and control is so poor that I had to delete this game right after my first try. The up and down swipe was not working well. So you are easily dead in the game.

Could use more. I really love this game but I feel like something is missing. Perhaps it is lack of character customization or the lack of unlockable weapons but overall it's a very enjoyable/addicting game

WOW the greatest game *****. This is one hardcore cool game, challenging but still fun, I can not stop playing! The old school yet new school feel had me hooked from the start, I wish there was more of a story mode, worlds you work your way through etc. and more weapon upgrades and armour upgrade would be great too but overall this is the perfect game for anyone looking for an addictive classic style new school gaming experience, just get it now!!!

GREAT GAME. Great action game. Still trying to get past first level but it's OK as I learn more every pass. Wish my gun was better but gotta get better scores before u can earn that. I am having a problem making John jump when needed, still a neat game! DL and ck it out!

My problem with you guys. I loved the game at first. But seriously . Have you guys read the reviews? Maybe you're fixing it now . But this game would be better if It worked properly. I can jump when ever the hell I want . Until some situation pops up where a Lazer or something and then when I go to jump. It doesn't jump! Or when I shoot and sometimes it doesn't. I'm trying to beat some records and I can't because of the lag D:< thanks :3

Eh...it's alright. Really would rather give it 2.5 stars. Nothing great here. Got bored of it after 5 runs then took it off the phone. Limited weaponry. Have no Facebook so I couldn't unlock the extra 2 weapons without trying to earn the loot. But didn't hold my attention long enough to try and rack up coins. Go up. Go down. Shoot. Rarely ever used the knife. I usually enjoy "distance" type games but this one wasn't worthy of staying on the iPhone for more than 7 minutes.

Room for improvement. It is a nice, addicting runner. To get five stars they would need to add a little bit of invincibility time after you get hit. The obstacles are very close together and sometimes you can go from full health to dead (5 hits) in just 1 second. They also need to make the upgrading weapons and the weapon store a little more complex. There are only two weapons you can upgrade. And honestly there are so many ammo boxes lying around that you don't even need to upgrade ( when you upgrade max ammo goes up.) simple, fun game.

Outstanding. This game is so addicting and so much fun! However, there is a lack of guns and features... You guys need to update this game more! There should be new obstacle, enemies, characters, and guns. To wrap it all up, this game is so much fun. I highly recommend it.

Did I miss a tutorial?. Your first experience with the game is to die. This is not enjoyable. I read reviews about switching to knife - but how? The game has gobs of potential but seems like the devs knew how it should work and forgot to tell the rest of us.

Have been following this for some time and really like how you released this first to tide us over and to gain more interest for the full release. Controls are spot on, and the weapons are really fun. It's like doom meets jetpack joy ride. Great!

Great fun, but weird side effect. This game is loads of fun, the only problem is it makes the bottom of my vision look like it's moving the the left and the top slides to the right when I look away from it.

Content!. This is a fun game with quite a lot of potential, but it's lacking the content it needs. Keep the fun and addictive gameplay, but add some more satisfying elements, as many things as you can think of that'll stop the game from feeling like an eventual grind.

save bug. the gameplay is AWSOME,but i got a save problem,can you fix it plz?

No save!!!!. The is awesome but it doesn't save your progress!!! Why there is no bug fixes so far?!!!

Save issue. Pretty fun game! Decently challenging but not a lot of variation. It never saves your progress/weapons, which is super annoying. Everytime I reload the app it makes me like their page again/go to their website to unlock the same weapons. I just did that the last time I played!

John Mad Run. Amazing game. Really fun and addicting. It's sort of a jetpack joyride rip off though. The thing that makes this game annoying and unplayable is that your weapons never save and when you click on an ad in the game, the game will glitch out... very disappointing.

Upgrade Deleted All Progress. I spent a lot of time to upgrade my weapons on previous version. This upgrade deleted all of the progress and I have to start over from scratch. I'm now deleting the app.

KEWL. Very addicting but could use more weapons, enemies, challenges and power ups.

Boring as the day is long. The sluggish controls, the blah layout. Repetitive actions and overly time consuming progression just compound the overall amateur design of this time waster labeled as a game.

Good Game, Bad Controls. It's not really that the control scheme itself is bad, it's just that it does read my right thumb sometimes (shooting/secondary). Besides that, I love the game.

This game is a DOOM rip off. This game rips off DOOM which originally came out in 1993. DOOM -Run, and Gun FPS action -Blood, and Gore -The hud displays the Doom Marines face, also displays health, and ammo. -You start off with a pistol in the first level of DOOM, then you get a shot gun. John/Joan Mad Run -Just like DOOM except it's a 2D sides roller with endless running
