Have some issue for setup. Not works with my owncloud 7 + ownnote setup

DO NOT BUY. Not reliable at all. It should save locally and then sync later when it can connect. It just deletes your notes. Lost important data without warning.

App continuously crashes. A few moments after opening a note the application throws a session timeout error. The error message will not respond to clicks to dismiss the error and it takes up 40% of the screen. This appears to done to piss poor coding. After the error is thrown any updates to the note are still updated on the server and packet analyzer shows continuous traffic.

Getting better and better!. Been using this off and on for over a year now. When I first starting using it, it was a bit dated but it has really come along well with the push of updates. 👍👍

I can only edit in offline mode?. This app is not ready to be published. It doesn’t work properly. It sees my notes but I can only view and edit in offline mode. I don’t understand why this app is published. It feels like an alpha quality software.

Not workin. Not getting past even logging in

Not production ready. App is missing core functionality such as: multi-step undo. No support for multiple accounts/profile-switching such as work/home. There is a strong focus on markdown instead of getting robust plain-text support to work first. Updates are not well tested in seem to introduce regressions as much as fix exising problems. Older versions which had fewer features, ran smoothly. As of 4.0.4, interaction is slow and clunk-clunk-clunky. Adding text to a note adds ~100ms delay per letter typed (with Notes v4.0.4 and NC 23.0.7) Overall the app is of middling utility, especially considering its age. Best to wait a for quality to mature I recommend using Koder app with nextcloud webdav instead.

1.7 crashes. Major regression in 1.7 that makes it perilous to create a new note. I saw duplicates and crashing.

Flat out doesn’t work. Waste of $2, it connects to my NextCloud install but just 401s when trying to do anything.

Doesn't work well. When service is intermittent you will lose note data. For example traveling through an area with poor reception. This software is entirely reliant on a connection which is a major design flaw. Notes should be saved locally with a unique tag (such as QOwnNotes does) and then sync and remove tag when available. Instead this software periodically syncs your note to the cloud which is pointless. In a browser this makes sense. On an application, it makes no sense. I encourage the developer to better the synchronization to allow note taking without connection to the server. For now a massive ring will prevent notes until some net connection is established. This is totally unreliable and the same as using the phone's browser to connect online. edit: Just add a Safari shortcut to your home screen from your notes website. Works just as well.

Doesn’t sync with offline mode on. I had to create an app specific password and log in. Seems to work as long as I don’t toggle offline mode. I though I could leave that on and then manually sync, but that doesn't work. Otherwise seems to work OK

NOT v26 ready despite latest update claim. This app used to work pretty well as a bare bones app for nextcloud notes up to nextCloud v25 but for server v26 it’s pretty broken. The app constantly disconnects when you switch to another app and refuses to reconnect to the note you were just editing, which leaves you to completely reboot the app every edit. Instead of natively editing the note through the app it brings up the web interface for note editing which is slow and does not properly fit the phone screen. The app constantly goes out of sync with the notes on the server and presents you with an unreadable interface to select which version of the note is up to date. You no longer can switch between markdown and preview mode when editing a document even though it’s saving everything in markdown. All in all just needs way more polished to be used with a v26 nextcloud server.

Just broken. Don’t waste time. It doesn’t work.

Complete Junk - Useless - Will not sync. This doesn’t send notes made on mobile back to the server. This makes it completely useless.

Feature Request: Save to Notes from other apps. This looks like a handy app. Unlike Apple’s Notes, it will sync to my Nextcloud installation. It would be nice if I could copy documents to it via the “share” facility found in most other apps. Also, initialization (adding URL, password, etc. so I could log in) was confusing due to lack of error messages and other guidance. Thank you.

Ok - needs much improvement. For what the app cost you would think it would have a little more features. First I had to manually install the ownCloud code on my ownCloud server. Then the app recognized this app. However features when accessing ownCloud via the web are sad and very basic. Nothing but a test editor which can be done with the default ownCloud. Anyway it's ugly compared to the default ownNotes. This app is very basic as well. Simple note program. Again one can simple use the default ownCloud app which is half the price Ana does the same thing. On top of that no security. No pin nor touch access :(. I do hope it improves. But for now I may just delete app and remove from my server. And I could not enter feedback on the developers page else I would have kept these comments off here. Let's try again guys. :(

Slow. I like the format but it loads notes extremely slow.

Very buggy. Good UI layout. Poor quality. Lots of errors creating, updating, and deleting notes.

Cannot sync many notes. I have about 5k notes in my Nextcloud. App has problem downloading them upon a first try. Most of the time download does not complete. And list of notes on the app is empty. I can add new notes though through the app and new notes sync with server. One out of a few times upon re-entering the credentials app will download all the notes. However subsequent note refresh (sync) operations fail too often.

Ok. It's ok for an app that supports an already basic note taking app (ownCloud notes). It's pretty buggy though and lacks any additional tools to make it worth spending money on. For example, having - above the keyboard would help when making lists. The list are pretty buggy as sometimes it will just delete the last couple items for no real reason.

Meh. Like a lot of Nextcloud’s offerings, it is pretty sub par. While they’re focusing on AI buzz words their core, and actually useful features languish. This app has a lot of potential. It’s a shame their leadership is chasing sparkly shiny things and not making their existing product good. I had a bear of a time just signing into my server

Much improved!. This app has come a long way since it started! I hope that Peter continues to make improvements and maintain the app--so far this is the only way to connect your iPhone to the ownCloud Notes section on your server. It is fast and relatively bug-free at this point. I initially found the setup instructions to be a bit incomplete--a small FAQ would be useful--but once I got it going I've had no issues. Thank you, Peter, for a good app--keep it coming! :)

iOS 7. No funciona en iOS 7 pueden reparlo?

Works great with NC20. Author responds quickly to support requests too. Using QOwnNotes on Linux, and, this app on IOS, everything stays in sync. I converted all my notes from Simplenote so I could host my own notes for privacy reasons. I don't like relying on cloud services where someone else has the data. Update 04/22/23. Since nextcloud took over the app so many things broken. I can't edit any notes as the insertion point jumps to the top of the note and often deletes things if ai type. I can't edit notes on another machine and then use this app as then it's out of sync. It's unusable now.

Does not work with OC 8.1. Does not see the ownnotes app on my OC 8.1 server.

Coming along nicely. Thanks to the developer(s) for the several recent improvements to this app. With the addition of better Markdown support, file-names/management improvements, and editor improvements in general, using this app is a much better experience. Better Markdown-entry support and improved check-off list handling would be welcome improvements.

Doesn't work correctly. I can see notes I've created on my laptop but I get an error when I try to create a new note through the app. I paid for it so you'd think it would work

No Longer Native to OwnCloud. I bought this app over a year ago and have never been able to install the app on my OwnCloud server (self-hosted or otherwise) therefore can’t connect to it on my iPhone. That’s extremely disappointing after paying even this small amount for an app. Now, I can’t install OwnNotes on OwnCloud at all because it’s deprecated and considered a security risk. Find something else. Don’t bother with this app.

Perfect. As I use Nextcloud increasingly as a business tool for my studio, I want mobile connectivity to the various tools within Nextcloud. This app connected and synced perfectly (read zero fuss) with my NC instance and now I can add and edit Notes on my phone. Just what I wanted!!

Unreliable. iOS app doesn’t update notes reliably making it redundant.

Excellent Notsey/Dropbox replacement. I replaced my Dropbox accounts with a custom owncloud server and needed to fill a gap where I as using Dropbox to sync plain-text notes across nvALT on OSX and my iOS devices. Cloudnotes has been a perfect replacement for this. It even works offline, though it does complain about loosing the connection multiple times when it does (though it could just be the spotty reception I get). Sync seems to be very fast, and I haven’t had any reliability options. The iPad version was a nice surprise as well. Great app.

Nice addition to my owncloud server. Works as advertised. Prompt response from dev as well. Would love to see support for folders in future. As is, it keeps my various notes synced and private.

App does not work consistently. The app does not sync notes to or from my cloud consistently and the "contact support" button also does nothing

Great app, Peter!. I have few recommendations to make it even better: 1. Option to lock the app with key/finger/face 2. Option to load a note directly to the preview page, passing the .md preview, and see immediately the needed tasks presented beautifully 3. Option to remember the app state, what note was opened, and open it again on restart on the same previous preview I hope it’s not big work, it will upgrade your users dramatically (for my opinion) so it worth the effort. Great!. As a paid app it could use some more features to add value but otherwise does exactly what it’s supposed too. It does support the categories. Can finally stop using the iOS notes app and use my Nextcloud server!

Unreliable. If the remote server is slow, notes are not properly saved, which result it lots of conflict and data loss.
