Calling not working. There appears to be a bug when calling. I receive waiting for @user to join call. Calling out from both devices and not receiving calls. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Little work. Hi developers I love nextcloud but if next update can fixed little things that user like me might like ,when I’m calling my friends and or family I don’t hear the ringtone, when I’m making video call I have to tell my friends hey is video maybe the person should see the video prompt before answering, call with @....and @.... should be change like missed voice call/video call.i find it creepy that when someone call me in a private chat 1:1 and hang up on their end my phone still be saying in a call it doesn’t end on the other side like that other caller can secretly call back and be listening . Sorry for my English hope to see update soon.

Works great! Needs a dark mode. I have no complaints but I would like to see dark mode make its way to this app.

Needs work. I’m happy to see this app progressing as I’ve seen it go from as spartan as a messenger to possibly get to...a little less spartan? The functionality is great but I never get notifications. You basically have to text your contact and say “hey open up the Talk app so I can message you”...no good. Gets 2 stars for now

Great app. You guys still need to work out the quirks where sometimes you need to leave the call fully and re-join, once that is worked out solid five stars.

App is crashing. App crashes after logging in.

Can’t login due to csrf failure. Can not login with proper credentials due to a csrf failure. Will update review when I figure it out.

Broken Badge Notifications. I love this app, It has made communication with my family easier (multiple platform users) However with release version 12 the badge notifications have been broken. I would give a 5 star review but the badge notifications are a huge deal breaker for me.

files. App is super useful but it would be nice to have files integration with future releases. Thank you nextcloud team! :)

IOS App dont work!. I can’t login in my Iphone 7 plus, because the LOGIN button is not working. I tested this bug in Android device too. Android work..

Push Notifications Broke. Looks awesome but the notifications don’t work at all for me. My Android device works fine but my iOS devices don’t have any notifications.

Pretty Good. Love how good the video calling part works even with slow internet it seems to remain stable. Now if we get the text option turned on I’d be using this app all the time. I’m just not one for video calling all that much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Great!. Thanks for the app! Right away I wasn’t able to get notifications working even though I had settings correct, an uninstall and reinstall of the app on my iOS device seemed to do the trick and got notifications working. Incase anyone else experiences that issue!

Doesn't work with self signed certificates. I have a self signed certificate which isn't a big deal usually, but even after installing the .pem file to my iOS device and trusting the root certificate in Settings, this app refuses to find the server over https. The regular nextcloud iOS app works fine, the talk app on Android works fine, only having problems with the talk app on iOS.

Nextcloud is Awesome!!. The project the team and community behind Nextcloud is great. This app, although not perfect, is a great addition to what is already an amazing self hosted drop box alternative. I look forward to seeing how it evolves and being a part of it.

So close!. This has great potential. It just needs better push support.

IOS 17 Broke it. The app crashes after I put my credentials. I think it’s the new IOS release that broke it. Are you guys working on that?

Love This App. I love this app but the one downside is not being able to set notification sounds. Only the default one that comes on iPhone. So if that one bugs you it’s unfortunate because you can’t change it.

Great Start, Insecure. Off to a great start but the inability to lock the app behind a passcode and/or Face ID is an automatic disqualification for current usage.

Unable to view text messages. Although the call functionality is nice, it's rather useless without the ability to also view and send text messages, as that's how the majority of people will typically communicate (at least within my use case). No point in migrating to this until that's resolved.

More security. Very very cool app!!! Plz add black theme it’s very important and very cool , and add OTR and OMEMO encryption!

Bug in latest update! iOS 17. I have been using this app for many years with zero issue. But after latest update, when I open app, it loads rooms, but when clicking on any of the talk rooms app crashes.

Keeps getting better.. In the 7 months my partner and I have been using this as our primary source of texting. It has been getting better and better. we sent thousands of texts today in want to remain private but secure. we didn’t feel comfortable using services like iMessage. We moved to this hosted on my homelab and wow it’s been a wild ride. There are issues as with any app. but nothing game breaking. i’ve always had weird issues with iMessage and moving to this app. The amount of issues didn’t change, but what the issues were, did. In my opinion they are more manageable. but there have been frequent updates and big life improvements. my only main complaint is an update or two ago they added the little texting bubble that appears whenever someone starts typing. Like iMessage/other apps. It still does not work on this app. Never has. Wish they would get it to work. and one other annoying issue is I can’t send medium to large sized videos. it just outright fails to send them. Giving an error. so anything more than a minute long at 1080p 30fps won’t send. I’m content with this for the most part. I may switch off to a matrix server sometime. But if this app keeps improving, I will stay with it.

Keeps getting better. This app keep improving, we use NextCloud and TALK for our business and our clients. The apps is solid, functionality is on par with other conferencing apps. Keep up the good work.

Best self hosted chat available!. Many great features, keeping up with big names! Some fixes are --1- noting contact card when contact is sent --2- call proxy service tune up --3- buffered chat, so not having to wait for connection before typing. Usually not a problem --4- gif handling in chat and not needed to click on it --- keep up the awesome work!

Close. It would be nearly perfect if only you could open guest links in the app without having to log in.

Great app, one suggestion. This is an absolutely great app, but the only thing missing from it is dark mode

Scaling issues.. Scaling issues, almost everything was either to zoomed in or out of place and had to manually be put back into place.

Using none standard port doesn’t work. Using port 444 over 443. When accessing via web browser no issues. When trying via this app it doesn’t work.

Awesome. Between this and my only office integration I think I’ve fully replaced MS Office, google drive and now (thankfully) Skype. Don’t expect to have massive video chat parties unless you have good hardware and configured it properly

notification never works. the product would be interesting, but with the notifications that never work, the product is of no use. we have been several to try this product, but not being able to know if someone has written to us, it becomes more frustrating than otherwise. and in the end we transferred to discord. Sorry Talk but this product is unusable.

Notification problem. With iOS it’s only one ‘ding’ sound for notifications instead a ringing phone continual or other sound like regular phone or other VoIP. Impossible to reach instantly a person.
