Total home run. So far I’ve only used this app for two practice sessions. I’ve been working through the beginner course and now to the point of working on getting all my cord changes to 60 in a minute. I was tracking this just using the iPhone timer and pencil/paper but this app makes the whole process much more efficient so I end up getting to practice many more chord changes in the same practice session and can track the results is awesome. Having the cord chart right there for reference is another bonus especially just starting to learn the chord I found I ended up having to refer back to the section in the book to make sure I got it right. As someone who started with right hand guitar and switched to playing left handed I also appreciate that in the settings you can enable left handed mode so the chord charts are mirrored. I ended up not using it but I may be in the minority as to me it makes sense to look at the right handed chord chart and just flip it in my head - your results may very. All in all an invaluable tool to add to your practice routine which is definitely not a distraction. Highly recommend this app.

Where's the Score?. I thought this was going to count the changes and give me a "score" for the minute? It is not for me? Anyone else not getting that?

Great app for great practice exercise. This app is intuitive to use and makes Justin's favorite chord practice method really easy to do and track progress over time. Highly recommended.

Looked everywhere no android. Really hate android but needed to find a dl and I guess there is none. Sad

Great Tool. I heard about this while doing Justin's course. It changed the way I do my chord changes and keeps me honest about sticking to the time. The pressure of having a timer forces me to pick up the speed and in the few days I've using the app, I can really notice a big improvement. Thanks Justin for all your hard work and dedication.

Almost perfect EDITed. Works great on iphone, no sounds/buzzer on ipad. Still love it tho EDITED: down to 2 stars… love justin and love this app EXCEPT random chords aint really random so unless you add/subtract chord lineup, get same sequence everytime. undermines the method. wouldn’t be big deal, but I’ve asked mute times for this simple fix to no avail.

Doesn't work. It doesn't keep track of the chords played. It just counts seconds. My timer can do that.

Not perfected yet. Love Justin and his beginner course, but this app needs some tweaks. I've selected the 8 cords I know and have used the app for three days, and yet there are some combos that have no score because they haven't been selected in the random mode. Wish there was a way to manually select the cord combos so that I could at least get a baseline score. I like the concept of the app, but it needs some changes to be more useful.

Helpful. I've integrated it into my practice routine. Very handy, thank you much, Justin!

Minor change/fix. I can hear it when the timer starts but alas when the 60 second timer is up, I can’t hear the audio alert. Maybe a setting option so I can set the type alert for start and end. I admit I am hard of hearing and do wear hearing aids.

Needs some bugs fixed (new version). I just upgraded to the new version and am not totally happy. First, it erased all of my prior scores and selected chords which is annoying, but I'll live. Second, the countdown and time-up alert sounds are waaaay too quiet now and it's almost impossible to hear them over my playing - even with the amp at fairly low volume. You had a volume slider before and if anything they were too loud, but that was far better than now. Please fix this. Thirdly, the score increase and decrease buttons don't auto count when you hold them anymore, now you have to hit them once for every count which is totally tedious. This needs fixed too. Lastly, the best score display is tiny. Why can't it just show in the score box like before? All minor things that can be addressed, but considering how much I use this app they really are annoying. Otherwise, this app has been amazingly handy and helpful. I hope to see it return to its former solid self. Thanks!

Great app that needs 2 changes!. I have been doing Justin's beginners course and this app goes perfectly along with it! It is a very helpful app to really help you speed up your cord changes. There are two slight problems with it that if fixed, the app would be perfect. The first is the screen times out before the timer ends. It would be nice if the timer would at least keep going with the screen off or if there was a setting in the app to always keep the phone on. The second is to make the cords more randomized. Some combinations always come up and others seem to never come up. However for a free app it's great and has definitely been helping me with my cord changes!

Great way to keep track of progress. This app is much more convenient than writing down what chord you played and how many changes you made. Having it randomly choose from the chords you've told the app you know keeps you from choosing "easy" changes. Thanks Justin!

Mostly wonderful. I think it’s a great app and beautifully designed. I like that I can add chords to the library as need to I learn them. Personally, I’m glad that the library is not too extensive so you don’t have to spend a lot of time searching through and just focusing on the chords you want. I might’ve missed something, but I don’t see a way to remove a chord from the library. The only other issue I see is that once I shut the app, it does not remember the cords that I was working on so I have to re-select them each time. That aside, I think the app is brilliant and very helpful for beginning guitar players such as myself. Thanks Justin!

I can’t figure it out.. It does not count the chord changes.

Tracking changes. I thought then app would track the changes for me, since it's hard for me to count and keep changing but if all your looking for is a timer this is a great app.

Nice for one minute changes.. Wish. It would keep track of the scores / records of one minute changes so as to know how progress has been during app use.

great tool. nice tool to track progress for beggining guitarists learning chords.

Doesn’t count changes. Played a few dozen in a minute and counted zero. Yes, I played the right chords.

No scores. App works well for mixing up chords but for some reason I can't input scores?? :(

Amazing!!. I love this app, it is very helpful in practicing chord changes and I don’t know what I would do without it. However I have also run into a minor problem, when creating a new chord, it doesn’t allow special characters like “/“ which I use for slash chords. Its a very small detail and it doesn’t really matter but again, thank you so much Justin!!!!

Does not score. This app is only a timer for me. It does not give me a score. Very disappointed.

Not just a One minute practice. Wow! I have been using Justin Guitar to relearn guitar an have done these one minutes changes exercise the last couple years. I’ll use this to generate a random pair, then I’ll try building a cool rhythm... it just an all around cool little app that can improve anyone’s skills. “ it’s cranked to 11!”🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

Great app, some suggestions. I really like this app, especially the option to focus on problematic chords. Here are some suggestions for future versions. - It would be good if the problematic chords would include combinations I haven't played yet. Alternatively it would be good to be able to manually select a combination to practice because some combinations don't seem to come up in random mode, at least not yet. - the app doesn't keep the screen from timing out. If the screen times out in 1 minute which I believe is the default the screen sometimes turns off before the timer reaches zero and it stops counting down. - it would be awesome if the app could recognize a strum so that it could count the number of chord changes automatically. :) I sometimes mess up my counting while playing. - there seems to be a bug. My lowest scoring combination is A-D but it doesn't come up if I select problematic chords. I would definitely pay for this app!

Simple and effective. Great companion app for Justin's virtual students in the beginner or intermediate courses.

Very effective learning tool. This app really helps keep track of your progress on chord changes. Definitely better than writing it on paper!

Very useful. Great app. Does exactly what it supposed to. Makes it easy to follow progress

Good but needs some work. No way to reset “best score” counter to zero so that one can start over; noticed the developers who quickly responded only to say its true and they would put it “on the list” to fix!

Good idea, poor tool. Can’t tell when to stop! Timer sounds need to be volume adjustable and selectable.

Great for Chord Practice. I really like this app. It is great. I just wish you could select chords you want to work on from the score menu. I like working on my slowest chords. Also I added a chord and even though I deleted it it comes back when I restart the app. Ghost chords.

1 tiny fix = 5 stars. I want to love this app. I'm following Justin's beginner course, so this is great! Except... Every time I practice, I have to change my device's settings to keep it from going into standby. It would be nice if there was a big button right smack in the middle labeled "keep screen from turning off" or at least let the timer keep running in the background. Either one of these features (or both) would earn this great tool an immediate 5 stars. I love the app, especially for free (thanks!), but with having to change my device's settings every time I practice, and then back afterwards, I just can't give it a higher rating yet.

From a complete new bee 🐝. Just getting started and have found Justin’s style of teaching works excellent for my particular style of learning and pace preferences. His chord change app has been really helpful. I am so grateful I have found this and just started using it 2X a day. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Still buggy but worth it anyway. This is so close to being perfect. But not quite there yet

Clean, good app for what it needs to do. It’s easy to use, clean interface. Usability is not amazing, but it’s free! One request: add option to delete or modify a previous score. I mistakenly added 302 chord changes instead of 30, and since then it’s 302 has always been my high score :(

Two Needed Changes. 1. I have on phone and iPad but have to enter new chords on each. 2. I like that I can add chords but it really needs a full library. 3. Allow you to edit chords after they are entered into the library. I have made a few boo boos that I need to correct but I can’t, frustrating.

Major improvements!. I just discovered that the two greatest shortcomings of this app have been fixed—the timer sound is now loud enough to hear, and you can hold your finger down on the count “counter” to jump up by large increments instead of having to tap it 50 times. Also it’s showing my previous high count which I could never figure out how to see before on my iPhone. Thanks for the efforts! A very nice app now, great for building up my speed.

Now I can add my own chords!. I hadn’t used this app in a couple years but I was having problems with some advanced chord shapes. With the added feature it really is a great app for practicing and advancing.

Annoying bugs but useful app. This app is great for keeping track of chord changes, but the interface isn’t very intuitive, and if you try to tag a chord the writing is invisible. Also, if you want to see your lowest chord scores, it includes those with 0 changes if you haven’t practiced that chord. But still a very useful app. ALSO: it would be great to add a feature of you could see your progress over time by dates. It would be very motivating if you have 20 changes and get up to 40 in a few weeks!

Great mate. This is great, thanks Justin. I love it. Only minor change I would like is to have a user controlled default setting for volume.

Microphone doesn't work so no scoring. Nice idea (and I like his other apps), and it's helped me with my chords. But the microphone doesn't work on my iPad or iPhone. Therefore no scores, therefore I don't know which chords "need work".

Very handy, but needs minor improvements. As a beginner, I found one minute changes to be an excellent practice method. Awkwardly setting a timer on my iPhone, and recording my results on paper whilst holding a guitar was discouraging me from wanting to practice. This app is a great way to time the practice, and capture progress! To earn 5 stars, it needs many minor improvements, such as larger menu buttons, move "Save/Next" button away from the number input to avoid accidental skipping past input, scroll wheel or numeric input for results instead of tap and hold for high scores, larger countdown timer, tap on current chords to bring up the two relevant chord charts, improved graphics for chord charts, relevant video demonstration for each chord to play within the app, link to other video lessons, in app purchase of products, progress over time graph (e.g. Total number of chord changes per practice day, individual chord change graphs), feedback on completion such as "New personal best! 4 changes more than ever for this combo!" or "6 changes above your average. We'll done!" accompanied by a progress graph for the chord changes just completed, optional user profile login on open if more than one user has been added, scores saved to Game Center, and optional practice reminder notifications at a set time. All these suggestions are minor, but could make a great app even more brilliant!

Excellent practice tool. Great tool. Employed as part of my regular practice routine each couple of days and quickly seeing the results.

Fantastic tool for beginners.. Great little app to keep you motivated by letting you see your improvement from attempt to attempt, a must for beginners.

Needs improvement. Useful but can’t delete chords and can’t change chord names (bug?!)

Good idea. I like the concept but The app doesn't access my phone's microphone so scoring doesn't work.

Great app. This app is awesome for practicing chord changes.

It's great, but.... I think Justin is brilliant! What a lovely bloke... Unfortunately the app doesn't work with the microphone of my iPad, and so that lets it down.

Not quite enough data saved. Prior to using the app, I had been using a little notebook. The nice thing about the notebook is that I have the dates and the cords that I have played, and so I can see my progress, me getting faster over time. The random selection of cords is useful, however, the data saved appears to only be the fastest change for any pair-- not quite enough to motivate IMO. I will likely keep using this for the timer and the random selection, however checking my scores is going back into the notebook.

Repeats the same changes. Repeats the same changes over and over and never really gets to the harder stuff like F, Bm and changes with them.

Needs more chord choices. Would be much better if app included all chords in major and minor scales plus 7th chord voicings.

One Minute Changes. I wish it would display horizontally as well as vertically. I thought it was suppose to count the number of changes too.

Really?. It’s just a fancy timer and nothing special about it. You still have to count the changes by yourself. Not recommended.

Really helpful. I love that the app challenges me to practice all the different chord changes. The dictionary is great. I’d like the app even more if it tracked the dates and scores so I could see my progress. Also if I could hold the plus button to record higher numbers faster.

Counter needed. This app has a lot of potential. I feel it needs to keep count for the guitar player using the Ipad's mic. If it's supposed to, forgive me.

Audible Timer Needed. It would be great if there was an audible signal when time is up. Also having the app use the mic to count would be great.

Glitchy but useful. There are problems with adding and editing chords, and the interface is not very well designed. But you get what you pay for.

No longer works. Not updated to 64 bit, so will not run on iOS 11 👎👎

Useless. Screensaver comes on and stops app before the minute is up
