App does not allow copy. Unable to copy any output within the app, and not as easy to see or export the reference section as on the website.

I didn’t notice any hallucinations so far - this makes Open Evidence much more trustworthy than other apps, including ChatGPT and other competitors. Sources including guidelines are very well selected and the list of used references is fantastic. Really a game changer to improve the daily work flow of a physician like me!

Revolutionary and disruptive tech. I have been using this platform for over 6 months now, and it is both revolutionary and disruptive. Whether updating medical knowledge or searching for actionable up to date treatment plans, this AI reference is invaluable and beyond game changing. My patients (and myself) benefit from its powerful results on a daily basis. The answers are both thorough and accurate with extensive reference if you are an AI naysayer. Only negative I can synthesize is clinicians could be rendered obsolete with this phenomenal technology. In its current iteration, this tool is an invaluable adjunct to modern day medical practice. Amazing!!. Great app! It’s super easy to use and super educational, and i always get quick, helpful answers. It also gives sources if you wanna dive deeper. it’s honestly become my go-to for medical stuff. highly recommend it to anyone who wants a bit of peace of mind or honestly a bit more info on everyday medical questions.

Evidence based research. Very useful for medical research and work — it brings together all the useful primary literature I don’t have time to search through in one place, and answers my questions with evidence from these.

Changing my practice… with references!. This AI is helping me guide my own learning process in residency by giving me fast searching for both the most cited and most recent studies in different practice areas. It’s not infallible at summarizing but it gives me great blurbs to start off with.

Great, but use with caution. This is a fantastic app. It generates fast, clear and succinct answers to questions, but there are some issues to be aware of. I have found that in practice, you REALLY need to use the right prompts, or some of the information you receive may be incomplete or misleading. For instance, it may not provide you information pertinent to special populations (ie pregnancy), unless you think to ask for this specificity. I also found that when asking about treatment options, it may provide options but will not go into details of the risks associated with these options unless specifically prompted. I also noticed it will sometimes generate information that is not fully correct if the prompt is too general. For instance I typed “magnet runaway pacemaker.” I expected to get information on the runaway pacemaker condition and how to use a magnet to stabilize it. But what I got was “A magnet runaway pacemaker refers to a malfunction of a pacemaker that results in erratic and rapid pacing due to the inappropriate activation of the device’s magnet response mode.” I think this will eventually be an incredible application of AI for as a tool for medical practice. Looking forward to future updates.

Absolutely amazing. I started using OpenEvidence about 1 month ago when I found out about their web version. It has replaced every other medical reference. I use it every day in my work. Glitchy, slow. When it first came out, it was amazing. However for the last few months, the searches have been very slow, with frequent crashes. Today it seems to be unusable, causing my screen to flicker whenever I open this app.

Great new resource. I have been using the app for about 2 months and have been very happy. It does have some difficulty with complex questions though a very low hallucination rate by comparison to many other bots.

No npi number. I’m an rn, pretty much retired, and don’t have an npi number. So I can’t have an account, and can’t access the app……. Any way around this issue? Especially given what is currently going on in Washington DC?

Right heart support. Gave inaccurate list of medications to support the right heart function. Later when I searched for what I already knew was the correct answer it stated correctly that it was preferred for right heart support. Needs work!!

This is so concise and perfect!!. This AI powered tool is smart and concise! I wish I knew of this sooner. Move over Up to Date! You’ve been usurped!

Existential crisis. Before the deep consult feature this seemed perfect for me since I still had a purpose and my education and time and effort in medical school didn’t seem like a waste at all. It was so powerful to help my patients and help me learn, getting discrete evidenced based answers to very specific questions I had; but I was still doing the work of a doctor, it just helped me save so much time and help my patients. Now with the deep consult feature I’m having existential crisis as I see myself being replaced by computers. You can pay someone with less education and just have them use this to get to the final answer. It’s diagnosing patients with wonderful answers and explanations and differentials in 10-12 minutes (including me inputting info) or so and I’m still quicker but not for long I’m sure. I wasted over a decade of my life trying to learn to help people and this will replace me. I support this open evidence app 100 percent as it eases suffering and helps people and my own sense of purpose / ego/ and worth to the world is not important when stacked against lessening the suffering of patients / people. But I wonder how many of us in this world will be largely, not completely, but almost completely worthless to society as far as our occupations are concerned (including me) in the next 10 years. Our worth will solely be in keeping each other company and being kind to one another (which is a big important deal of course) as poverty and wealth inequality rapidly grows, with only the tradespeople, artists, and people employed in AI having any real income or sense of purpose and worth to our society at large. The people still moving and shaking the world with AI will say, “We’ve given people so much leisure time.” But unfortunately I think that mostly it will serve to rid people of a feeling of purpose they have in doing a job well for society. And people will be poor, as the autocrats are already talking about how AI will save them money and that way more people can be unemployed and out of work with no purpose outside of the above-mentioned, all while the inequality of wealth reaches a breaking point. The same people who have so much money that no additional money will make them any happier are the same people who will leverage today and tomorrow’s technology to replace us, including doctors to make themselves richer. Admin at hospitals and private equity in healthcare will cut costs using AI this way in future hurting others happiness and finances while not demonstrably making their own lives actually any better; it’s sickness when you have 100 million dollars and you think having a billion dollars will make you happy after all.

Keyboard hides text. Worked well until last version. Now the keyboard hides the text input screen. With medical words this gets difficult because predictive words don’t work well with medical words. I can’t see what was typed until after and can’t change curser location.
