Update may not have been ready?. This app was very nice, helpful & informative. The update was not so nice. Some exams were removed. Some exams have incorrect pictures for the positioning, such as the incorrect centering for the CR is being showed in the picture. Some exams have no pictures. The update does include positioning for GI & urinary system exams, along with info on tomography, so that is nice. Update for app needs more fine tuning.
Awesome Application. This application is awesome for radiographers, it is the ONLY application designed for Radiographers! Most apps are very healthcare generic or specific to Radiologist or other members of the healthcare team! All of my students have purchased this application, it is not only a great resource it is easy to navigate, has great graphics, and provides the students with what they need right at their fingertips! Many students today are extremely tech savy, this application fits into their lifestyles! My students use iRadTech in clinic, lab, and class! As a Radiography Clinical Coordinator I endorse this app and suggest all students and radiographers spend a few dollars on a very valuable resource!!! GREAT JOB!
awesome app!. This app is great! I couldn't stop looking through all the exams after I bought this app. It's very organized and user friendly. I like how this app shows pictures of what the positions are suppose to look like and also the radiograph to show what anatomy should be on the image.
Great app!!. This is my second favorite radiology app next to RadNotes!! RadNotes is way cheaper and has tons more info, but I like the photos in this app.
please add more positions. Can you add a outlet view and the Zenga view for the shoulder? I like the format with the position then the actual radiograph. Have you ideas about adding a technique section. Thank for your time in putting together this app. It is very useful when reviewing a position that I haven't shot in a while. I will recommend it to my fellow techs.
Every radiographer should have this. This is a great app and I can't stress that enough. Most people have a procedure guide for those exams that we need a quick reminder for but to be able to look at my exams here is great. It would be nice to have a Kvp and mas reference guide. Hope fully that will come soon. Get this app
Great app...but. I think this app is great and well organized. I am a student that will be taking my boards in 4months. It would be nice to have an option to take quizzes on the positioning. That's my only suggestion on adding to the app.
Excellent for RT students!. I have never written a review for an app, but I must say this one is so worth the $25 if you are an RT student in clinic. Not only have I found it to be an easily accessible way to study positioning details for coursework review and clinicals, it is much faster and succinct than any technique books I have seen. Very good app, and easy to use!
Has the basics minus a few. Doesn’t have inlet and outlet views of the pelvis. If you’re going to pay this much for an app it should have more views.
Good app.. Over all a good app. It helps to have a nice convenient reference at hand. My only gripe is that there appear to be missing views that come up from time to time. Otherwise nicely done.
Awesome application****. Very helpful and handy application. Saved me time and helped me multiple times. Has all the information and positioning needs to take an X-ray. Great application and a must have. Thanks for this great application.
RT(R)(S). I love this ap ! Great for refreshing on rarely used exams and learning ! I am a registered tech and love this program for positioning rare parts (facial bones.. Etc) Would be great for students and techs alike! Wish I had this when I was an Xray student ...
Essential for Students. Thrilled to see the same excellent info contained in my Bontrager book from school over 10 years ago in a handy App!! I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Ballinger years ago. Fabulous gentleman! This App is a must for any Rad Tech student, travel tech, and old Techs like me. Great job Phil 😊
Wow!!!. Bought this app while still in radtech school-it's very helpful and well worth the price :) Any chance you can add flouroscopy exams? (ie: esophagram, be's, sbft)?
Use it frequently. I am a radiography student and my class had to purchase this for clinicals. I have used this app several times during clinicals. It is a very helpful tool for me. I have really enjoyed it. I am so glad that we were able to have this app.
A Great Convenient Application..... As a first year student, the iRADTECH application is a great, convenient, and an easier way to obtain information about a procedure especially when you do not always have the book with you. It covers most procedures and shows what the exposure should display. It is like a mini, electronic procedures book all in one and it is well worth the price...
TBuch. As an educator, I am excited for our students to utilize this app. From reading the other reviews, this is going to be a great investment!
Apps review.. This is by far the best xray app available in iTunes, and it's really easy to use. Plus if you forget how to take an xray u can just get your iPhone and go straight to this app instead of carrying a big bulky book. Great app!!
Just updated!. Purchased a while ago and downloaded the update. Have good information for reference/reminder, but I don't think it's meant to rely on. It a great app for students.! 5 stars here!!
Incredible App for any RT and RT student!! This will not disappoint.. Currently a RT student at a hospital-based program and found out about this app a few weeks ago from one of my instructors. Purchased during a special discounted offer, but would still recommend to others that it's worth the posted price. Offers visual of positioning, CR placement, breathing instructions, image quality, and anatomical structures demonstrated, etc. Absolutely love the zoom feature, actual radiographs of anatomy, and the ability to makes notations in the notes section of each procedure. It's an awesome, easily carried, discreet and handy guide. It would be great if Flouro cases were also implemented in the future. Love this app!:)
Love Love Love iRad Tech!!. iRad Tech is awesome! I think it is a very useful application for a Radiology Tech. It's easy to work with and has great images to go off of. This is every Tech's dream! :)
Great App for everyone. I graduated this past May (2010) and found a job just this past week at a mobile imaging company. My job requires me to bee 100% on my own all the time. I will be the first to tell you that I do not remember every single position and tube angle that I learned in school. This app is a great resource to have when I come across exams that I rarely saw in school. I only wish I had this while I was still in school during clinical, it always took forever to look things up in the book and thats normally what we had to do if we came across something we did not remember or were asked a question and did not know the answer to it. I would have loved to be able to just pull out my ipod touch and open this app! Everything I have looked at has been very accurate and you can even make notes for techniques if you want! Great all around!
Review. iRadtech is a very good app for radiology students and Techs! This app is very helpful in case you need to double check a position, and its faster than looking it up.
Fantastic App. !!!!!. Absolutely fantastic App. I wish I had this when I was in school. It would be great if a technique chart would accompany it - just for averages of Pedi, Small, Medium and Large patients. Adding a trauma section of X-rays would be great and would top off the App. You should create one for Fluoro and Surgery cases too. Thanks for making the App. Love It. The only downfall would be that the type be a little larger for those of us that have trouble seeing in the darker X-ray rooms.
I Rad Tech. Outstanding app.!!!! Very nice to have for ref. and is quick and easy to navigate. Great for both Rad students as well as current license holding technoligists. Highly recommend.
Very helpful!. I'm finishing up my first year of radiology school and I've used this app almost everyday at Clinicals! This app is perfect for a student on the go. The only thing I would suggest is during updates save my notes on each procedure because they always get erased so I'm never able to use them.
Exactly what I have Been Looking for!!!!. As a radiology technologist, this is excatly the kind of app I have been looking for!!! It's informative, I love that it shows what the projection is suppose to look like!! Great App!!! Can not wait for the update, to view some less common positions/projections!! Great Job on this App!!! :)
Great!!!!. As a first year student, the iRadtech is very helpful and well worth the money. It offers most of the standard projections. It covers all the information you need to know about the procedures. It also is good for a refresher of the exams that you dont see often. I think it's great and well worth the money.
RT Beth. Great App by a reputable source! App has high resolution images and handy information. Can't wait to see what they come out with next! I am looking forward to the next update and the GI/GU exams being added.
Mastoids?. iRadtech is great!! I got an order for Mastoids and I had never done them before. With this apps direction I got the images on the first try!!
Wonderful and useful. I am very pleased with this app. It is not over done, and pretty direct, making it user friendly for students. At this time our program does not require a device that could run this, but many students already have such devices and I'll recommend it to them. RT's ... I think you'll find it useful as a refresher, and or for seldom performed exams. Plus it has the "newer" or changed aspects of positioning and angles on ones I checked so far. The other nice feature for students at least is the ability to add notes. I see the potential as a technique book replacement with this feature. It also can serve for a student to add a note about a site specific variation in the exam. Two requests: not have the agreement screen come up every time app is activated and then have to click it. the other would be a badge/flag of some sort indicating a note was made. The only way to tell now which have notes, is to click the note button to check. If a badged or something showed, it would be a nice alert to check what you noted about it, or for a student to stop and say... better look ... maybe there is a department specific variation etc.
Love it so far!. This app is pretty fantastic! Even has LPO and RPO for zygapophyseal joints. I would be nice if it stayed in the same routine you were previously looking at as I switch back an forth between other apps but otherwise it's great!
Very useful app. I am a clinical instructor and use this app as a quick reference to show students how to properly position patients and how the resulting radiograph is supposed to look. I love this app.
Wonderful!. I love this app! It's great to have at clinic! Also, it's alot easier to carry around than our book. Thank you iRadtech!
Awesome!. I am new to the radiography field, and this has been an excellent reference. I regret ever buying the bulky 'pocket'-guide/flip-book. This is all I need! *I would love to see a search feature by named views as well as by anatomy.
Great tool for students. Clean direct interface, loads of information on positions and Central ray positioning as well as great images to demonstrate the corect part and Image plate alignment. Worth the cost in every way. just wish we could use it during tests :)
iRad Tech is awesome!. iRad Tech is fantastic! It is well organized and easy to use. Just click on a projection of an exam and immediately the explanation, positioning picture, and resulting image appears. An additional bonus is enlarging the picture and image to visualize the anatomy. It's like having a small Merrill's in my pocket!!
IRadTech is a Must!. This app is a must for all RadTech's! It's great to have with you during clinicals to provide a little reminder. I think this is my most used app!
Great app, worth the price. The latest update made this app an amazing tool. It's finally formatted for the newer iPhones so it looks nice, updated positions, and the ability to add notes is great. By far the most expensive app I've bought but well worth it.
More!. I like the app, but wish the eval criteria was a little more detailed and listed some techniques. And I wish it had more of the not so common exams, that's the only reason I purchased it.
Good for the basics. Missing a lot of specialty views.. If your a new tech and just need the basics, this is fine. I wouldn’t say it’s worth 25 bucks though. I was hoping it would have more specialty views. Here’s a list of common views not found on this app. Hammate hook and pisiform views of wrist. Radial head view of elbow. False profile of hips. Inlet/ outlet view of pelvis Flex/ext of L-spine. This is just what I could find missing at a quick glance. At this price I really wish it would have more. For a little more you can just buy the Merrill’s pocket book that has a lot more info to offer. How do I get my money back?
Very Cool App!. I thought this App was very cool. I like the way it goes into depth on the different positioning and IR placement etc. The only thing i think that would add to this app that i would love, would be to put the recommended mAs and kVp on the different positions as well. Other than that i am very satisfied with this purchase and think that it is an excellent guide to go off of.
IRADTECH APP. This app works great! It is well organized so it will be easy to look up information if you are in a hurry.
Awesome Rad Tech tool!. Thanks for this great application. I wish I had this when I was in school. App. has all the important details as well as pictures of ptn. positioning and radiographic images. Thank you so much!
Radiographs. New version is 100% better! Thank you for including radiographs for all exams!
Awesome App. Being a student in a baccalaureate radiology program, I find this app to very helpful and useful. It is great for a refresher of the exams you don't see very often. The only thing I wish it had would be some of the fluoroscopy exams like BE and UGI. This app is well worth the investment!
Almost perfect. Just wish it had kVp and mAs other than that very useful and always with you as long as you have your phone.
Used to like it. I used to like this app, that is before the last update. The update may have added some exams, but it also messed stuff up. My notes got mixed up with the wrong exams. There are pictures that are incorrect (positioning wise) an they also removed some exams, specifically TMJs. I paid a pretty penny for this app and would have remained happy had things stayed as they were. If it ain't broke....
Great resource for students. The first year students in our radiography program have been using this app since they began in August. It has proven to be a great resource to them as they enter into the profession. Great app!
Terrific App for Techs and students. This app is great! The information is complete, well organized and easy to access. The images are quality and helpful. Should be useful as a resource for everyone and a great study tool for students.

Emilly. It's a good start, not quite finished. Has example radiographs for most but not all projections. Also would be great if centering points were described separately in descriptions. Needs some more projections described before it would be a "go to" reference. Love the 'add notes' function. I'm looking forward to updates, and maybe even sending some radiographs to add to the app!

Ok, but could be better. Could remember last view for awhile instead of always resetting to the main page. Still missing some important views (for years!). Don't show many alternative ways to get views. Make this better, please
Bon outils de travail. Géniale!!!!!

iradtech eval. where are the SC joints?
Extremely useful and helpful app!. iRadtech is very helpful. The photos and positioning instructions are great. Well worth the $19.99!!!
Wow!!!. Bought this app while still in radtech school-it's very helpful and well worth the price :) Any chance you can add flouroscopy exams? (ie: esophagram, be's, sbft)?
Great!. This is a very helpful app as a 1st yr student. Well worth the $. Shows most all your standard projections.
Need Kvp techniques. Very helpful, but RadX Mobile has techniques and is $5.00 cheaper.
Very useful. This is very useful, I just wish there were trauma "shots" & positions in the app.
Very Good. Very good application and helpful
app. this app is just wonderful!!!! the pictures help alot to positioning the patient correctly . so handy to use
Why did I buy this?. No special procedures, no OR procedures, no injection and contrast, this seems to be developed for first year students, not licensed technologists, and should be targeted as such. Utterly useless to those working in the field.
Terrific!!!!!. This app is great! It would really be awesome if u guys added the collimation oh and a technique chart would be cool too
Love it. Really handy for Rad Tech students
Update. There are views missing but for ap erect abdomen the evaluation criteria should not be the same as supine ap abdomen. Fix that. Go over all views to be sure none are just copy and pasted.
Love love love!. Great app
Great app. Great app. I use it all the time. When is the update coming???
Yay! This is one amazing app great for students awesome information!!!. Great app! Awesome for clinicals a must have for the student radiographer! Well worth the money
$30?. I go to update and suddenly I'm suppposed to pay $30. I'll just stay with what I've got
Iradtech. This is a nice app would be nicer tho if you could add and modify the exams also if you could have labeled x-rays in another section and acceptable s# for different brands and how to change technique to change the s#
iPhone Update renders useless. I just purchased this and updated my iPhone at the same time. It officially doesn't work. This is a ton of money for me to have something that doesn't work. Please fix it!
Incomplete Resource. For $30 you'd think they'd include ALL of the projections you might use, but it lacks NUMEROUS projections. As a current Radiography student, I'd say this App is barely useful. It is definitely not worth the hefty price tag. I feel as if I was robbed.
RT Instructor. Good App. Ready to use it.
Great but could be improved. I think including kVp and mAs would make this app perfect! Great for sitting and reviewing positioning when you have down time.
kVp and mAs. Would be much better if included kVp and mAs calculator or averages for study purposes and having everything in the same spot. Awesome app though, highly recommended by teachers, students, and techs.
irad tech app. This app is great! I'm a radiography student at SUSCC in Opelika, AL and I use this app ALL THE TIME! It's great for clinicals and even to study for in-class exams! I would like to make a few suggestons though. I would like the app even more if it contained the anatomy and the common technical factors (kVp and mAs) for each procedure. All-in-all, I'm very pleased with this app! Thank you! Jasmine Parker 2nd Year SUSCC Radiography Student
Awesome!. I am a future RT and this app is awesome and helpful, but you do need to add special views like the Fuchs and more positions. Other than that, it's the
Awesome. I love the app.
Great app!. Great app but little expensive.
Very handy app!. I use iRadtech all the time. If there is something I don't see on a regular basis, I pull my iPhone out and double check the projection. Very handy to students and techs!
Perfecta. Perfecta
Excellent!. Would love to have some manual techniques for reference. (Tabletop &/or Bucky). Also suggest removing #11 - #14 from shoulder folder and placing them in a separate folder named clavicle under AC Jts.
Falls short, very very short. As a student 7 months into the rad tech program, I know more then this app. I'd recommend Bontragers Pocket Book over this for a few dollars more. The price is insulting and the info is even more so. I bought it when it was $10 and even that irks me, certainly not worth $25.
