Terrible upgrade. This app is archaic and outdated. You guys need to learn from other banks- GTbank I stopped using the mobile app years ago, I rather use the online banking on my laptop, it is more reliable. Sometimes OTP is not delivered, You wait endlessly for the OTP that never arrives. You need to upgrade or completely shut this app down! It is an embarrassment to the standard chartered brand.

The app is crashing after iOS 16 upgrade. I love this app but unfortunately after iOS 16 upgrade, it doesn’t open anymore. It crashes when you try opening it. And for some of us this is the only means we have to access our accounts since there aren’t brick and mortar shops available in many states. I’ve submitted a complaint on their website, still no fix. You’d assume for a financial institution of this magnitude, they should have mechanisms in place to test the beta version of iOS 16 to see if there’s gonna be compatibility issues and bugs. Update! I’ve changed my initial star from 2 to 4. An update to the app came and everything is working well. Thanks for the quick fix.

Horrible. I haven’t been able to log into my SC Mobile app! Since yesterday the 22nd of September 2021!!! Whenever I open the App is closes within a second on its own! I can’t also use my internet banking cos I have to approve from the SC Mobile App! This is super frustrating!!!!’

Face ID. Why is face ID a registration and i have tried having it reset by the bank for more than 2 months now and yet still when i try registering it says i have exceeded the maximum number, this doesn’t make sense, i lost one of the previous phones and gave the others out so it doesnt make sense that after doing a factory reset the app still keeps traces on the previous device. This is a huge flaw that should be rectified

Broken app. In terms of customer experience, this app is the worse of the worse. The frustrations probably makes them the most secure but very frustrating to use. You'd be setting up the app like every 3 days, they clear out your pins and password

App crashes. Kindly update app to comply with ios15. It Keeps crashing on both iPad and iPhone after an update to iOS 15

Wish there was a negative rating; this is -5. Upgrading to this version was a terrible mistake on my part. The upgrade required the configuration of my device as a soft token device even though I have a hardware token that I’m very satisfied with. There is no option to proceed without this setup. I should’ve uninstalled the app at that point and bade good riddance. But I proceeded, thinking I will be able to disable it afterwards. After the setup, I’m unable to complete transfer transactions on the internet banking portal ( note, not the mobile app) without the soft token and I’m can no longer use or activate my hardware token. A call to the call center confirmed that I’m now dependent on the soft token device rendering my hardware token useless as they are unable to undo the change once I activated it. DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP IF YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR HARDWARE TOKEN!

App has been broken since February 2022. Try using the app to make transfers to either a saved beneficiary, or local other bank and see the errors that pop up. I’ve had to use the browser to make transfers, and now that isn’t functional. I sent an email 2 weeks ago after your last maintenance broke the app, but this has not been reversed or sorted. Also, why isn’t there a search feature where long lists exist? This is User experience 101 please. Do better!

App broken. Have been enjoying the app but now I Can’t login to my app since this last update few days ago,app closes on its own when ever I try to open..if this maintenance update is gonna continue breaking the app or having it not working properly then I suggest u guys should avoid the update or look for a better means not giving people headache when trying to reach there money..

Old and Outdated UI/UX. I can’t believe a bank like SCB still couldn’t afford to get a developer team and create a totally new & modern app. You should be ashamed of this app, it seems 2010ish > to transfer to a bank I need to start typing manually to find the bank. Why not a search bar. > The dashboard that shows balance doesn’t look enticing, very low standard. >Poor looking transaction receipt generated Standard Chartered is the most lazy bank, I ever seen. I wish I could give a 0 star, I’ve been using this app for 3yrs and you haven’t added any new features, just stupid bug fix.

Crashing on IOS 15. I recently updated to the new iOS 16 and ever since this app has been crashing any time I try to open it. Immediately I open it it closes automatically. iOS 16 Compatibility. You guys should update your app to work with iOS 16. Normally you should have been testing it for compatibility before it’s been released by Apple. Now I can’t use my SC mobile app on my iPhone because it’s crashes as it’s not compatible with iOS 16

Difficulties trying to open an account on the mobile app. Have been trying to open account on the mobile app for weeks now, the selfie part is so annoying, always complain that I should hold my phone upright and when I do it complains that there’s poor lighting even when I can see my one face clean and clear... it’s so frustrating and you guys should work on it

I had the problem initially when using the beta version of iOS 16 and had to roll back because your support team said there is nothing they could do to make the app work. Terrible experience. The app is very unstable. Some days it works other days, there is a message to reactivate the device that the app was reinstalled. Interestingly, there was no reinstall. Got frustrated and just moved my balance to another bank with a better user experience

Too problematic. Standard Chartered needs to step up this app why should I have to reactivate my login info every time I need to use my app. It’s not an app I visit often and I always have to reactive it and I still can’t get in has it never goes through easily… Please develop an app that less stressful it’s frustrating that I can’t get into my own app every time I need to use it. It’s even worse now has the reactivating keeps giving an error message just like the log in which means i need to get to the bank for my transaction very very annoying..

Seamless. I don’t understand why people would give this app anything less than 5 stars. I upgraded my app without any hassles yesterday. I used it today and it was seamless. It is a great improvement on the old app. I guess you listened to your clients concerns and decided to give us a stellar app. Kudos!!!!

Error with account. I’m not enjoying my account I am not able to perform any transaction on the account I even called the call centre and I was told my account was active but anytime I tried performing any transaction it will always telll me failed transaction

Dormant. My account is dormant and I’ve been trying to reach out to customer service for reactivation but to no avail and I’m very very distant from the only branch here

Reregistration. I keep having to reregister my sc key on my phone. I have to do this multiple times a day anytime I want to login. It’s a major inconvenience pls could look into this.

Nightmare!!!!!!!. Been trying to log into the app for the past week !!!!! You log in and it says make phone your token ! Which I have done a while ago and have been using !! Now accepting to do it AGAIN !!! And it cannot send an OTP to my phone FOR OVER A WEEK!!! called chased … called …. Screamed still nothing !!! How do you have funds and cannot bloody access it ?! Zero star if anything like that !!

Not flexible to use and slow on updates.. The app looks ok in pictures but it is not flexible and no search function in the app. You need to manually scroll to get banks, contacts. Also, the app is too slow to update to new apple updates. You cannot use it for log in across multiple devices too.

Login Key. Even though I’ve received messages in the past that the issue has been resolved, the app keeps asking me to revalidate my login key. I can’t tell if this is a faulty security issue or the app or something else. But it is quite frustrating.

Brilliant Update. I just updated the app and absolutely love it. I particularly love the colour coding of the debit and credit transactions, especially on the calendar page. It allows for a much better overview of daily transactions without being bogged down with details. Great work.

I can’t open the app. Anytime I try to open the app, it exits

Worst experience since the upgrade. This is the worst mobile app from a financial institution that I’ve come across on the planet. The view has been redesigned and looks crisp but the model and the logic is crap. First, the app looses connectivity and complains about internet every 20s. Second, The settings page freezes, you can turn on biometric authentication or other stuff. In fact once you click on settings, you have to quit the app completely to able to do anything else. Third, the mobile token is the most unstable and unresponsive part of the app. It asks you to register but spins and spins for mins and later gives error of internet connectivity. When I initially tried on VPN, I got the code but couldn’t activate, later a call came in from support that VPN isn’t supported. I haven’t tried other features of the app as this experience has been extremely stressful. I’ve deleted and downloaded the app twice, yet experience is same.
