Retro Slam Tennis Comments & Reviews 2026
I want an option for control. I think this game is pretty fun but holy does it get my blood boiling when I can’t control how the score ends up. Getting one play then jumping forward to when I’m down from 15-0 to 40-15 is annoying. I also hate that the ball will be next to my character and he will NOT HIT IT (could be skill issue though) . Still a very fun game 👍
Good, but not enough. It’s a fun game, gameplay and concepts are all amazing. Huge fan of the retro games. However the 2 biggest complaints (and the reason I deleted the game) was the difficulty and energy. Difficulty wise there’s a slight learning curve, but I still felt you should be allowed to play more sets. It’s dumb relationships are the reason you go so behind in sets and games. Secondly, the energy is garbage concept, I get micro transactions are essential, but it completely ruins the fun and slow of the game.
A good game. I like this game, once you get the hang of it and know how things work it’s really fun. So, here is how to do hits and get more energy. HITS: TOP SPIN: when you hit the ball just tap the top of the tennis ball BOTTOM SPIN: same as top slip but tap the bottom SLICE: when you hit the ball tap the sides of the tennis ball FLAT: when you hit the ball tap the middle KNOB: when you hit the ball swipe up into it Getting energy when you have no cans: you have to rest!! EDIT: it does get annoying with the score, it’ll make you lose most of the time and will give you a 40-0 score for no reason
Great game. Best tennis game on the App Store. New Star continues to never disappoint. Suggestion for the developers- I wish you could be able to see your record against the player you are about to play. My second suggestion would be to see the bracket/draw on who one or who lost in the tournament. Hope you take these suggestions! Keep up the good work on these games
Fun Gameplay, Terrible System. This game is ruined by its greed. As others have said, you have to pay real money if you want to restore your energy to have your max skills during matches. But that’s not even the most egregious cash grab to me. You can pay real money for clothing items that give you skill boosts, but they only last for 50 matches! Seeing that is what made me leave a review. I hope there is a massive update where you can buy a premium version vs having to keep throwing money at the game - otherwise I’ll stick with Retro Bowl from this developer.
Hard to control. I love the general mechanics of the game, but I dont like how the aiming phase doesn’t give me a projected landing area. I can’t easily tell how hard I need to hit the ball to, say, get it right over the net or just on the line in the back. It should be easier for me to make that shots I want than it is. I’m used to the more forgiving NSS where short and longer shots can both result in success. The game doesn’t feel always in my control, especially with a slow character missing the returns I eagerly want them to. Makes it feel more rigged than challenging like in Soccer.
Not sure how to feel. Best tennis game I’ve ever played but how am I supposed to play and get higher on leaderboards when I always have no stamina and have to rest. If I chose to rest it puts me down 3-4 spots and if I don’t I lose tourneys because I have no skill from no stamina. Also when I rest I end up not getting the energy drinks and end up wasting the rest day and moving back 4 spots even though it said I won one of them. And even after the tip saying to improve your happiness by talking to people but I can’t even talk to them due to having no stamina and I want to save my little amount of stamina for games.
Super fun, but the stamina system ruins the fun. Great game, love how they added different life features to youre player unlike retro bowl would have. It’s also just fun playing a retro tennis game in the first place. The main problem is the stamina system. You HAVE to either buy stamina or watch an AD, and after a few ads, you get locked out from watching more, so you just can’t really play. Like, why do that when retro bowl was so successful partly because premium was a one-time, $2 payment. Give us something like that so we can actually play the game.
Honestly? The most well done new star app. After a bit you get way stronger than everyone, but that’s true for all new star games. What this excels at is the hundreds of options you can approach the game in being the “best”. You can try winning all the events, completing all the coach challenges, max your rank points, your world points, etc
Good but bad a lack of features. I liked the game at first but the mechanics were hard to get used to as a diehard retro bowl player and there where confusing things like a lot of the different ways to get stuff in the game was gamboling and was hard to get used to unlike in retro bowl where there are options to choose for your players. I did however like that they had more personal life stuff into the game play but it also felt more like just promotions
Energy system is broken. This game has the same main problem that that superstar soccer has. The energy system is incredibly annoying. In order to obtain it you either have to participate in things that will lose you energy (counter productive) or you can purchase it. The problem with purchasing energy is that you can’t do it with in game energy, only real money. It’s very annoying.
buggy and system isn’t great. this game has been fun but has a lot of potential to be way better, ive had a few gripes that make gameplay frustrating. for starters, the energy thing. it’s not easy to get energy drinks, you either have to take a rest week which causes you to miss out on scoring for the world rank or watch an ad if you don’t somehow get one elsewhere. also during a tournament, you can start out with full energy but then dip to 75% or even 50% during the tournament and it tanks your abilities and skill, making it harder to win. second might just be a bug fix, but a lot of the time when tapping the ball to determine what shot you take it takes multiple taps and doesn’t register most of them, making me miss some shots or not get the desired shot. if these two things are fixed this game would be 5/5 cuz it is very addicting despite these errors.
Corrupt save file. I think the gameplay and other stuff is great, but my save file is corrupt. I’ve been playing on this file for a few days and after finishing 2nd in the race I closed the app right after the interview portion because I had a soccer game irl. After I re opened the file, the game keeps on soft-locking and I can’t access the game. I’ve tried restarting the game and even my phone but it keeps on soft locking. Please fix this as I don’t want to restart all over.
Great concept but just pay to play. The concept of hitting angles on the ball with power to dictate spots is stellar. I have retro bowl on Apple Arcade their football game which I like too. The only thing about this as you progress the price of energy inflates far beyond the money you’re making to where you’ll need to purchase energy to play at your best or you can play with no energy and then the computer ruins your shots. If this game wasn’t paywalled like so it’d be decent. If you haven’t downloaded don’t bother as soon as you get the hang of it you’ll have to pay to continue to play.
Has so much potential. Great game, like many others say it pretty quickly becomes easy to win every event and loses its excitement. I would come back to play if they 1) made more significant milestones in the progression of your player so “leveling up” feels significant (right now winning each new event feels anticlimactic), and 2) if they introduced variable play style among opponents so that every match doesn’t feel like a carbon copy with slightly faster or slower opponents. I enjoy the game mechanics, but maybe hard mode could include the influence of opponent shot spin on your own shot, or some sort of variable luck so that it’s not copy-paste strategy from match to match that usually results in an easy win.
Great Tennis Game. I’ve really enjoyed playing Retro Tennis! It’s surprisingly deep for a retro-style game. The gameplay is challenging in the best way, and I love how much strategy is involved — from deciding when to train, rest, or play in tournaments, to managing energy and player development. The systems are well thought-out and make every choice feel important. Even though the game doesn’t have official player licenses, it’s fun to see the familiar names with creative twists. If I could suggest a few improvements: • It would be awesome to add headbands and wristbands as accessories, just for fun and visual flair. • A customization feature before starting a career would be great — like editing other players’ names and attributes or creating your own roster of fictional stars. • Maybe even a manager mode for those who love the off-court side of the sport. Overall, fantastic game. Tons of replay value, and clearly made with love for tennis fans!
Literally Unfair AI. I’ve played tons of rounds, and I did a tournament where in the final, even though I had good gear, almost max happiness and I put EVERY point I had into speed in order to keep up, I STILL could not get anything past the AI player. He was able to run back and forth and never missed a shot the whole entire set, across the entire court no matter how steep the angle of the shot was, and even though I had invested every point into speed and spent REAL money to get more energy just to make sure and max out my energy meter before the final, I STILL lost because the AI served, I hit it back at a hard to catch angle and the AI moved insanely fast and caught it, and launched it across the court with a hit way steep, almost completely sideways, and my player just literally couldn’t move to the ball, and that was it. All that waste in what could have been a fun experience, ruined because the game says. This whole entire match system needs a rework if it’s possible to lose just because the computer says I lose now, no matter how well I did. I spent REAL money to have the game go, ‘you’re losing this match and you can’t do anything because you have no actual control.’
Great game. I think this is a great game, ive had tons of fun, and i think the energy system isnt too bad. Ive reached number 1 world rank and the energy system didnt really stop me that much other than at first. You just need to rest for bigger games like the 1000 or the grand slam, or else you will not make points. Great game.
Maybe my favorite retro game. I’ve played all the games in the rb series and this is by far the most addicting! I think the energy system brings a solid balance to the game and doesn’t detract like some comments mentioned. Would recommend to anyone!
really good game. kinda scummy system. the game has an energy system, which has been getting more and more popular with mobile games like this where you have a certain amount of “nrg” and going to events (ie; playing the game) uses up this nrg while every other side feature also uses nrg in some way or another (balancing happiness levels in game and whatnot) and it is honestly just SUPER annoying to deal with, and you can only get kore nrg by spending your real money, not in game, or else you will spend the entire time with your skills -75%. new star just give us an option to buy nrg with coins, yall CANT be hurting for money that badly
Good potential but energy system is awful. As many other reviews have said, the energy system is awful. Energy is always very low and there’s no way to fix it without buying energy drinks with real money or finishing coaches challenges, but good luck with that because you get one a week and you will deplete far more energy than you will get from the reward. Currently, I’m stuck in a grand slam semi finals with 1% energy which gives 75% deductions to your stats. It makes it virtually impossible to win a game. I like the idea of energy, but you need to be able to buy it with in game coins as opposed to with real life currency, it makes the game a blatant cash grab. Hopefully new stars updates their system until then, 2 stars
Overall, a good time.. The reviews on this game are too harsh—it’s plenty fun and enjoyable. Three things. First, there needs to be more content. An easy idea would be the addition of the Olympics, but I’m sure more could be added, like doubles. Two, the game just gets too easy once you figure it out. I shouldn’t be winning 98% of the events I enter. Finally, more stats would be good—how do I stack up to the tennis greats of all time?
Retro Slam Tennis – 5 Stars. Retro Slam Tennis is an absolute gem. I’ve never played tennis in real life, but this game makes me feel like a true pro, both on and off the court. The energy system? Completely fair. I REPEAT—do not listen to the complaints. People who struggle with it just don’t know how to manage their resources properly. This game isn’t just about swinging a racket; it’s about living the life of a professional athlete. You have to juggle everything—your social media presence, family, relationships, friendships, sponsorships, training, and even the temptation to splurge on flashy items to boost your following. Every decision matters. If you don’t plan ahead, you’ll run out of energy and struggle. But if you strategize, like I did, you can dominate. I played three full seasons and, in my last one, went undefeated by perfectly managing my calendar and keeping my energy in check. Retro Slam Tennis doesn’t hold your hand, and that’s what makes it great. It challenges you to think like a real athlete, making every victory feel earned. If you’re looking for a deep, rewarding sports sim, this is it.
Best game since New Star Soccer. My favorite app of all time, going all the way back to 2013, was new star soccer. And as a tennis player, seeing the app I’ve always wanted pop into existence has literally been a dream come true. The tennis gameplay itself is genius, with the ability to use real strategy and skill to defeat opponents. And, speaking of opponents, they’re pretty difficult when you’re starting off, so it feels like an actual tennis career. The lifestyle/training gameplay is the standard new star games formula with coaches acting similar to agents from NSS, and lifestyle affecting public perception. Using the NSS formula on tennis is pretty daring, and while it’s close to perfect, there are some hiccups upon release. There are 2 major problems I’ve seen: 1. Overheads should go down with top spin. In tennis, you crank them with spin, similar to a serve, so they stay in. I keep missing because the current overhead will register a miss since spin doesn’t affect them. Kind of stupid to have the hardest hit shot in tennis require a soft touch to work. 2. The energy scaling in the game is unbalanced. Once you hit the higher levels, you have to be Roger Federer and win every major tournament to even afford energy drinks. Not sure what the thought process was there, but it actually makes the game almost unplayable by the time you hit top 5.
Great game, but. I really enjoy this game, but I quickly became the number 1 player and even on hard mode I was winning nearly every game. They should add an extreme mode like retro bowl or a more progressive play like staring in a local league and working up. Every thing else like the game play, energy, heart, and player ratings is awesome.
The game makes you lose. Playing the game is fun and easy but each match starts with you losing until you can score a point. If you miss a point there’s no more chances in the game and you lose automatically. Not a fan of the energy system and having to pay to get energy and the happiness level is bs. Also the game doesn’t use the official rules of tennis regarding the out of bounds line. Also the player should get more control of the game not just the final shots of the match to “TRY” a comeback even after training and happiness the game still make you lose.
The energy system isn’t that bad but there is ways to improve it.. I’ve seen the many thoughts on the energy system and how it feels bad but I think with a little improvement to the way it can be used, it would make it far less annoying to use. Why the NRG system feels bad: I’m no idiot it’s obvious that this is intended to be the primary source of income for the game (no ones buying paid equipment that doesn’t last forever). There are also many things that cost energy that are random whether or not they work. Relationships feel HORRIBLE when you put 25% down to only get coins instead. Similar with resting, the chance to not get any extra energy drinks is low but brutal when it happens. What is good about the Energy System: Intentionally planning your schedule makes you feel smart. I think it makes sense that you probably shouldn’t play every tournament possible and should instead take time to rest during a convent stretch in the schedule. Skill prevails. If you’re good enough at the game and are reasonably leveled up, you can put up a good fight even on 50% Energy. How I’d improve the issues: Resting and relationships should automatically yield a result. As for resting specifically maybe make it a weaker energy drink and coins or something. When resting you should have the agency to stay where you are in the world instead of going home. It could be punishable with less recovery whatever but it would make it feel even smarter about planning your schedule out. I think this game has a lot of potential and it’s really on the developers whether or not they want this game to do well and feel fair for those not willing to shell out cash.
Stop the skipping on important points. Please change the 40-40 to make it allow us to play that point, it’s so frusting as to skip that part in which you could have totally won the match, with it skipping its so annoying because i know i would win, horrible idea to make it skip the most important point please change.
Needs Work. Not anywhere near as polished as the football counterpart, this title suffers from a variety of issues that set back considerably the amount of fun you can have with it. Your player begins almost incapable of hitting the ball over the net with a full power shot, but is for whatever reason encouraged to participate in tournament play against the best players in the world. Get ready to lose repeatedly even if your shots (the only aspect of the game you have any control over) are on target, as your character is too slow to run towards the opponent’s ball so you end up losing. You will also be responsible for juggling “happiness” as a measure of how often you call your friends family and romantic interest, even though this system offers essentially no rewards and cues at the cost of playing tennis which might actually grant you the necessary experience points to make your little guy fast enough to chase down a tennis ball. I definitely understand why this game is not garnering the attention or downloads of Retro Bowl. Maybe the developer will spend more time fixing typos in the dialogue and tips screens and adjusting gameplay mechanics to feel more rewarding and improve the curve of the character scaling. Until then, you’re safe not playing this title. I’m now uninstalling it.
Make it so we can actually play points. I really like the idea and concept but having the player always at a disadvantage makes it incredibly hard to play. Also make it so we can actually play points instead of having it where if you lose the point but won’t lose the game it auto loses for you instead of letting you play. Oh and make it so you can hit the ball, half the time I will miss the ball after clearly hitting it and getting a green dot on it but the game says it’s a miss.
Great Mechanics. Retro Slam Tennis is s solid game at it's core. It rewards you a lot more for training compared to its soccer and cricket counterparts, and as a result doesn't give you instant gratification in the first season- energy is difficult to maintain. This quickly becomes a non-issue past the second season, and aquiring NRG is easy for the most part. The main issue is the lack of content beyond gaining followers. There is very little to spend coins on outside of the "lifestyle" section, and no upkeep is required of the things you buy. I like the game, I just wish there was something to work towards once you've been number 1 for a few seasons.
Good Game. Enjoyed this game very much. Still playing my first career I’m at the point where I’ve maxed out my player as much as I can and the games are easy now. Even putting it on hard mode doesn’t really make it challenging. But the initial grind when you’re first starting out is worth playing. I guess the older my player gets (right now I’m 31 years old) the game may get back to being challenging but so far I’m still having my way with opponents. Also I like how throughout the years opponents get better themselves while others fall off for whatever reason. Makes it realistic
Such a fun, easy game!. Retro slam is really fun. In the game you play tennis as a pro. You have to balance energy, fame, and happiness with family, friends, and fans. The game is super simple, and after a few matches is very easy’ it took me around 5 minutes to get used to the game and I love it! Even with low energy, you can hit great shots. The game is super simple and enjoyable for everyone.
I hate the Energy System. Agreed with the other comment. The game is very fun … when I can actually play it. However the energy system disincentivizes playing the game and almost forces you to use micro transactions to progress. Even when the option is available to watch an ad for a prize, there is no guarantee that this prize will be an energy system, which makes me feel like my time was wasted. I was a big fan of the other games by NSG (and have bought the premium versions of Retro Bowl and Retro Goal) but this mechanic leaves me very disappointed in this title.
Good game but some changes please. Overall good game but it doesn’t make sense how the opponent can still move before you hit the ball, are they freezing time? Also the news article normally shows them downplaying and speaking negatively about your player, can we get some more positive news articles? I’ve seen like one or two.
Lots of potential. Fun game, but has a few problems and the energy system is not one of them. It makes the player think about whether to play certain weeks and plan out their season. Issues: 1. Lob shot negates the rest of the gameplay. It wins points with about 97% success rate. No issue if the player chooses not to use it but it needs a complete nerf otherwise. 2. Progression is interesting until it isn’t. By the second season I maxed both my stats and gear and won the final so I don’t want to play more with nothing to go for. Retro bowl has the same problem but I think the gameplay of that game stands for itself a bit more. Overall, I’d just give the player more incentive to use varying shots for different situations to make the gameplay more diverse and thoughtful. Also, maybe experiment with forcing the player to not be able to max all stats on a character so they have to choose a build.
Amazing game. One key flaw.. Would love to give this 5 stars. Best tennis game out there. But I recently found a bug: I've literally hit all the marks for my coach 2 seasons in a row, and it still says I don't qualify for that coach's reward. Very frustrating. But the gameplay itself is virtually perfect. Worked hard to become #1 in the world, and it's very rewarding to stay on top. Just wish I could get that coach's reward! I've more than earned it.
Unexpectedly Good. I saw all the reviews and was hesitant to try it but after marathoning thru two seasons it’s an awesome game. You don’t need to partake in all the events to win the season and I have been able to stockpile a lot of NRGs by resting and upgrading my skills so that when I’m low on energy I still have a good baseline of skill. They did it again.
Great game but…. I really enjoy this game. Once you get the mechanics down it’s easy to play but still challenging enough to keep you on your toes. My major problem is that I have lost two career saver to the game just freezing. I tap the save file and nothing. This has happened twice with maxed out characters. Please look into this issue.
Money Grab. Gameplay is fun. Absolute blast to play. However, you lose energy in the game from playing in tournaments. You can only use energy drinks in the game to gain energy. And you can only earn more by either randomly winning them (rarely) or buying them with real money. If you try to watch an ad to earn a “reward” it will say “ad still loading” and then you can’t watch it or get a reward. When it actually works it’s 60 seconds of ads and you don’t even get a “reward.” The game is a greedy money grab.
Good Game. I’d say it’s a mediocre game, spent about 8 hours playing it on the first day. Jokes aside honestly this game has potential (Also you are able to keep up with Nrg you just have to watch 6-10 ads to have a steady flow of NRG) Also I’ve played Almost every new star game so it’s funny to see eyes on the games logo.
Great Game. This game is amazing, and it has just the right amount of challenge, strategy and fun. The pressure thing is very annoying but it serves its purpose; making the illostrious tournaments harder to win. One thing I want added is a way to see records or past martches or when we last played the person we are playing so your in-mind storylines are better. Ex: I know I’ve played the guy named Wu at least 5 times in my first 2 seasons but I want to know who has who’s number, you know, who can get it done against the other guy. Other than that, amazing game.
Over hated. As of today this game has 3 stars. I have enjoyed every second of playing this game and never really had problems with calls or energy. I think people just don’t give the game enough time to level up their skills and are mad they can’t win every game when they clearly aren’t at that level yet. People also don’t pay attention to relationships helping your simulated score.
Really good game but some problems. Every time I select my character it seams to stop working. Like I tried exiting and entering multiple times but I can’t get into one of my characters. I had a similar problem with claiming the rewards from the coaches by clicking too fast and the game freezes and doesn’t work but now, it just keeps crashing I start a new character but now it works. I really want to use my old because that’s the one that I put the most time and effort into. So all I’m asking if you see this is please update the game but fix the bugs and that’s all okay.
Incredible game - a couple little fixes could make it perfect. Really bizarre to hear anyone doesn’t love this. Love the authenticity with the real tour and locations, the steadiness of the players in the rankings, game play is great. There’s only a couple things I wish it would fix: 1000 level events should be 2/3 set matches for men like the ATP tour. Could help the calendar go a little faster and save some energy, but more than anything, add more authenticity. More colors for the outfits!! There’s so much nuance to how you can customize the uniforms in the retro football games, I’d like to see that here. Also maybe options for sleeves/sleeveless, hats/headbands, socks, armbands etc. Making all the characters more customizable would really add a lot of flair. Would also love it each event kept your full history there. It’s nice you can see how many times you’ve won at a certain tournament but knowing the places where you’ve never made it out of the 2/3rd round or whatever it is would be interesting since you lose track after awhile. Likewise would love to see what the H2H with other players are before a match starts, what the total H2H vs Finals vs Majors etc. That would be very interesting since you wind up facing the same people in similar situations a lot. I could see how it might be a tall order but adding the option to play doubles in some tournaments would be very cool! Would make balancing energy a little harder, but you could also make more money. You’d probably have to maintain a relationship with your doubles partner and they could leave you if it’s bad. Would be a fun option for early on in the career to help boost exp, etc. Not sure how the gameplay would work but I’d love to see it. Likewise, having quallies seems like it would be difficult to do accurately for early in the career but if it keeps developing that would be really cool. Would also be cool if every 4 years the Olympics popped up??? If the original retro bowl can keep track of wildcards and contracts the Olympics seems doable. Also maybe adding more pages of the shop since it feels like you blow through it really quickly when you play a full career. Can’t wait to see what you guys do next! Hope this game isn’t slipping between the cracks with the others being more popular, it’s so solid!
Energy. Love the game and the gameplay. The matches are fun once you get the hang of it and upgrade the right skills. Literally my only issue with the gameplay is the energy. I’m a level 40 and idk when it happens but the NRG drink prices go up by so much. Why does it cost 500 coins to get 25% of my energy back. And when I do watch ads for free energy I spin the wheel and most the time I only win 25 coins which isn’t even half of what I need to get the lowest amount of energy. If your energy recharged after a certain amount of time or the nrg drink prices went down this game would be impeccable.
Great Game!!!. Very good tennis game, energy system makes the game challenging to decide whether to rest your player in order to compete in upcoming tournaments. Does a great job at incorporating different tennis shots into the game unlike any other. Only downside is the follower growth hits a snag after 100,000 and makes it hard to achieve 1 million. The in game store gets a little stale because of this too. Can easily be beaten without paying. Overall would definitely recommend to any tennis fan!
Not a game to relax to. Nothings more fun than playing a little retro slam tennis and just getting absolutely destroyed. Didn’t hit the ball exactly where you should have down to the millimeter? Yeah, that’s hitting the net. Thought your opponent that’s ranked 125 will be a cake walk? Nah we actually injected him with a steroid that makes him the fastest human alive. Want to play some practice rounds? No. Just no. How about easier difficulty to enjoy the game more? No but you CAN make it harder! All of the retro games are fun except for this one. I play to relax, not throw my phone against the ground.
Fun Game/Update. Originally i thought your player was bad because they were new. Training, while you earn points to “improve” only handicaps you in the long run. I made 2 toons and even with the purchased accessories. Racket, Shoes, Shorts, Shirt, and nearly maxed stats, and being ranked in the top 10 in the world, an opponent ranked 150 is outplaying me by a wide margin, a ridiculous margin. My shots are wildly inconsistent, hitting the ball in the same spot yields 2 mind bogglingly different results. I really want to like this game, it is fun but, its also mind numbingly frustrating to lose to a player 140 spots below you consistently.
Solid game; Minor complaints. The game is pretty solid and very fun to play while out & about or on a car ride and my pretty much only complaint is how doing a “lob shot” only works 1% of the time. In training it works perfectly but in actual matches it hardly ever actually works properly, it either sends the ball wayyy to far back or wayyy to short allowing the bot to return them and half the time the bot turns into some 8ft man and doesn’t allow anything to get by. But to be honest the rest of the game is fun to play!

One request. Great work by the devs to the attention to detail in this game! One request - give users the option to customise/modify the names of the AI players! Would allow tennis fans to have a more realistic roster and opponents to play against.
Game would be unreal. The game is great, would be a heap better if you could buy NRG cans with coins like New Star Soccer
Great game, should develop more sports. Love all your games, have you thought of doing a college wrestling or boxing game?
Great game. Only been playing it for a week but this game is already impressive. Great game and I have lots of fun playing it
.. Can’t even load my saves, either crashes or freezes the app
Still crashes. Once you click on the initial game load (one of the 3), it’ll crash- even after force closing the app
Fun but unfair. It’s fun at points, but it always feels like the game gives the ai the advantage. For example, I once played a match where the ai served the ball, and I couldn’t even hit it back. Also, you just don’t have a lot of control over the player like actual retro tennis games, but that comes with it’s own sacrifices. The gameplay is ok, and it benefits from not making you play every point or set, but sometimes it gives the most unfair comebacks for the ai, and a lot of the time, it just gives the ai a point or the entire set without you being able to defend it. Overall, it’s still decently fun, but it has a lot of annoying stuff mixed in there.
🥹. Love the game, fun gameplay loop and aesthetic as usual. Just a few things: i) would be nice to have a harder difficulty, maybe with only a single retry ii) there’s currently a bug where the game crashes sometimes when you complete a coach’s quest
Great game. Fun offline game heaps of features which I enjoy, love the fact that what you do off the court effects how you play on the court.
Great game. I’ve tried heaps of other offline Tennis Games and this so far has seemed to be the best. It has so many things you can do (sponsorships, training, relationships ect). The general feel of the game is great as well. My only complaint would be about the actual tennis gameplay. Like maybe instead of only playing match points. You could have the whole game just be a tie breaker. So you can play the whole game. Also it might be better to have a landscape orientation. Other than that the game is very good. Love the retro aspect. Really recommend trying!!!
Absolutely fantastic. Love this game even as someone who doesn’t play or watch tennis. I’ve played this so much I’m on level 69 and at the top of my world leaderboard by a landslide. I would LOVE to see a game exactly like this for basketball.
Terrible. Awful game doesn’t play properly never works terrible don’t waste your time

Not fun. This game is just a money grab don’t get it
Very fun game. Extremely addictive and fun, if you’re struggling with losing in opening sets all you have to do is get better relationships with your family and friends
Great game despite rating. I love this game. A lot of review complain about it too being difficult or being behind at the start of the match and that’s mainly a skill issue. Keep yourself happy in the game, you will start off better in matches. The game is not easy at first whatsoever but it’s a lot of fun to play and is challenging all the time. Get this game if you want a sports game to actually test your skill and not just cheat play your way to a win
Decent. Game is alright but it says “you only play important parts” and only lets you play half of them and decides that no matter what you have to mount an insane comeback
Some key issues. The idea is great but the execution is frustrating. Why do I typically need to win a point and the game/set winning point but if I lose one point typically the opponent wins the game or set automatically unless it’s match point. I honestly think they should let us play every point. The randomness that seems to always favour the opponent is frustrating enough to make me not want to play. I should only ever be down to an opponent ranked 30 less than me 2/3 matches out of 10. Much less someone ranked over 100 points less. Yet it seems to always be the same regardless of rank.
Great game but gameplay needs improvement. Makes no sense on how happiness is the only thing affecting the automatic play. Top 10 ranking with near max stats but still down a set against players ranked out of 100. Also, in order for me to win a deuce, I need to get adv then another point to win. But if I lose a point at deuce, the opponent wins automatically without giving me a chance to get back deuce.
Fun game but you make it unenjoyable. I have my relationships bar at full how tf am i losing 5-3 (40-0) every opening set?
Hockey. Really like the game, please make a hockey
Really fun but…. Great game and really fun. Very unique with No ads. I was too quick to leave a review the first time and gave it 2 stars due to a few minor things I don’t like about the game. I have now played this game for a while and although there is micro transaction for energy bottles in the game (which I did buy in the beginning) I now know how to manage energy levels and it does seam reasonably balanced. Another great NewStar game that I enjoy so much. I do wish there was a way to buy the game outright however I am always impressed by the quality of what these guys put out. Thanks for another amazing game.
Great game bad gameplay. I wanna enjoy this game but i just can’t anytime i play, The cpu always has the advantage no matter what rank or position. I also don’t like the fact that i can’t play the whole Match why can’t i do that?! How come I am up 40-0 then the cpu magically gets the advantage? Makes no sense
Every game is rigged for the player to lose. My character is number 3 in the world and one in the season race. I should be getting dominated by the 43rd in any universe
Awesome game. Another excellent pocket sports game.. Excellent game. The gameplay is really fun, and the balance between pay and free is excellent. I love that the whole game is available. Small bug, when checking the calendar, all of the tournaments show up as Free entry, rather than their actual fee. Keep up the great work!
Pretty bad. Kinda forces you to spend money or watch ads. Ridiculous. I don’t wanna have to watch an ad every time I need stamina, why can u not spend coins to get energy that makes absolutely no sense. Game also sets you up to lose, the challenge is fine but it gets a little ridiculous at some point. Decent gameplay but ruined by everything else in it.
Great but not amazing. Simply put, the game is fun. If you get into a groove you’re NRG is self sufficient or you can rest up, it’s not money that’s the problem. It’s the repetition of the exact same shots over and over (because they’re the only ones that work), the fact that your speed and focus seem to have no effect on how quickly you get to the ball. But it’s still fun. Bug note: when a sponsorship expires, for some reason the last tournament with the sponsorship doesn’t receive the sponsorship benefits
Fun game but annoying. I swear sometimes the game decides your going to lose and makes the cpu insane
Don’t know what everyone is complaining about. Bro, it’s actually better that you still have to try against opponents even when your number one overall, it is true tho, like you’ll go against a low 100’s ranked play and lose. Make new star hockey or basketball please. Love your stuff bro
Major Flaws. 1st. You could be number 1 rated, but still lose the set 2nd. If u lose one rally the other team could get 2 sets for that and even win the game.
An ok game. It’s a fun game, however it gets repetitive. Maybe adding a duo event or a diving mechanism would help improve it but right now I’m winning every game on hard mode. I hit year 3 and the game freezes every time I finish the coach goals. I experience lots of freezing around the third and fourth year forcing me to create another career and start over and repeat the cycle until I get bored. More frequent updates would be nice as well.
Major Problems. I am ranked within the top 25 I should not be losing every opening set, losing 5-3 in every set, and losing in each tiebreaker 6-2. The worst thing is that this all happens every game and even to players ranked 120 while I’m 22. I should win the first set against scrubs 85% of the time. PLEASE FIX THIS.
Best game series on all of iOS. Another classic. Great job guys, way to keep the ad free identity alive.
