Hope bug fixes are coming soon. This is without a doubt the best sports game you can play on your phone. Full stop, no competitor. I was really excited to see the kick return update last week, but I’m really hoping we get a bug fix update soon that can return the rushing game back to normal. It’s almost unplayable right now taking a 3 yard loss one of out of every five times you try to run the ball. There’s no way I’m the first person to bring it up so I hope it’s coming soon! I’d love to see RetroBowl MVPs and maybe halftime stat breakdowns in future updates. Would also love to see a 3rd interchangeable receiver added as well like you can with TEs. I’ve seen other people say they’d like to see the other players and star players league wide and I totally agree. Would make the trade/free agency market more fun. Would love to have league wide stat boards as well to see who is leading in different categories and make record stats league wide and not just for the franchise. Hope updates like that roll around eventually, I would totally pay for any upgrades that come along. I enjoy the soccer game as well but it isn’t quite as addicting. Would love to see other sports as well, basketball would probably be pretty tough in this format but I bet baseball would be awesome. Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 for SNES would probably be sort of the model for that I’m guessing. Mostly came to plead that the rushing gets fixed but rambled on. Keep up the great work.

Amazing game but a suggestion for you guys. Game is brilliant and I won’t go into why it is because we all already know. These 5 stars are not to get this comment seen as I authentically believe this is a 5 star game that amazingly only costs 99 cents for the complete version. Just one of the things I think you guys could fix as of now is the fan bar. You always start with a team with one win the previous season (and yes you can win last game). Next year, if you make the right moves you can start with a more than reasonable record for your team (I play on extreme so it’s not the easiest thing to do year 2 but doable for sure). Right now I am 5-3 but since I lost my last game my fans are at 1%. Realistically, if you’re a fan of a team that went 1-15 the year before but got a new coach and are now 5-3 through the first half the season, Id like to think you’d be very, VERY happy with the progress. I feel like the bar does not go up enough for wins (especially situationally), and then falls far too much for even one loss. I think you guys could probably look into it and tweak it to make it much better. Anyways thanks for one of the best apps ever created and I hope you guys keep improving the game and adding more features👍.

Amazing Game, Top Tier, just a few suggestions. This is one of the best mobile games I have ever played. Love the customization, you get to edit the player names, and every team’s name jerseys and location. Love the way the draft works and free agency, you can easily improve your team and rebuild your team with draft picks. Even the gameplay is great, it’s simple but also need skill in order to win. So this is already a great game, but I have some suggestions that would make it even better. I wish you could play defense instead of it just simulating the defensive possessions. And I think kickoffs and punts should be playable too. You could introduce the punter position, or just have the kicker do the punting too. Hope there are plans to add these in the future. Also, I think the star players should be league wide, not just your own team, so everyone would have stats on every team. This probably would take a lot of work, but I think it would definitely be worth it. You could see how the stats of your players compare to those around the league. And this would also open trading your picks for players on your own, instead of hoping a team offers you a player for a pick. Also I hope you guys introduce other games like this in the future, like for other sports, like baseball. Retro Series (World Series)

Absolutely love this game however. The gameplay itself and everything in the game is just great love this game just a couple notes that hopefully the devs could see and take i to consideration. I wish that we could play defense some how and even if not I’d at least like to watch my defense so that I’m more encouraged to draft or sign defensive players cause like, I love having a good defense but I mainly select offensive players since I actually play or watch the offense. Idk I just wish that something with the defense could get changed. Also why does the kicker have a speed rating if I can’t go for a fake field goal I don’t see the point in having a kicker with a max speed rating over kick range and accuracy if I can’t make him run. Also I wish that this game and the college version could possibly be linked somehow so that you can draft players you played in college as a rookie in retro bowl. Also I think adding a kind of “commentator” would be nice as they definitely add to the games moments like 1000 times more all I’m saying is just put like little subtitles at the top saying the players name and that they keep going or something they definitely would be a dope edition to an already dope game.

Torn about this game. Let me start off by saying that I think the main gameplay loop of this game is fantastic. There’s a feel to placing your passes that sometimes feels better to me than Madden ever did. I love the team building aspect and how it’s simplified. I never liked building teams from the management end in other football games. It’s addictive and rewarding to play. Games don’t take that long and always leave you wanting to start a new one. The price point is great as well. Here are my gripes that are causing me to not rate this 4 or 5 stars. First off, and this may be minor but it always seems that on big plays the receiver or RB slow down so much after getting 30-40 yards. It’s like all of a sudden they are running in molasses. This is frustrating because it completely removes any excitement of a big play. But this leads into my second (and main) issue. This game is too easy. It’s almost as if the slow running was put there to balance the fact that you can pull off huge plays all the time. After a couple seasons it becomes so easy to build a 5 star team that just wrecks everyone and before you know it you’re having perfect seasons every time. There needs to be some balancing done here in a way that doesn’t take away from how good the gameplay feels.

Simply amazing. Dear developers: I love you. This is football perfection (die hard Bears fan, so yes, I bleed football, but done right). This game is a perfect amalgamation of a football rpg with the GM aspects, a techno bowl successor with the gameplay, and Maddow, with the players rankings, drafting, etc. i am I total love with this game, and it was free. I love it some much I HAD to buy the full version. Only a couple of naggles. The main one is difficulty. Hard and dynamic give a challenge by being cheaper. High star players no longer catching the ball, at intercepts EVERYTHING, and even 1 star defenses will give your 5 star offense fits. This must be evened out, as on medium were GODs on the field. I difficulty in between would be nice. I love sitting back and waiting to see what my defense will do without my interference but I’m sure there’s some way you can give the option of calling defensive plays just not control the players. That would be awesome. Otherwise, the nuance in this game is deeper than many console game. My players with drug problems had on filed issues. My star wideout declined with age. Players whose stats weren’t the best shocked and out performed as 5 star players underwhelmed. It is amazing how they incorporated most aspects of football into this little package. These guys need a f@#&@## award for there efforts. Bravo guys.

Completely Hot Garbage. Updated again: The game no longer costs 99 cents because it is completely unplayable. Every update makes it worse than before. I don’t even know what is going on over there but I just want to cry because it was so fun, absolutely perfect, and I got to enjoy it for like 3 weeks, my iPad was broken for a week, when I got it fixed and the game was updated it was pretty bad, and I wrote this first review update, took it from 5 stars to 1 and struggled with a broken game, and then they updated it again, and now it is absolutely wrecked. I don’t have the heart to uninstall, I don’t pay for games often, and I wrote “best game... in 10 years” in my first review, but I’m only keeping it in memorial effigy of a game I almost got to have. At this point I am guessing the next update will have even bigger catch radii, completely unstoppable offensive weapons, and the opposing teams will get shut out completely by any defense just a 1/2 star better than their offense, all turnovers too if 3/2 stars better. First review: Just reviewing for credits, but best game I have played in 10 years. Update: bought the game because it was perfect, then the dev updated it. I WANT MY 99 CENTS BACK! If we can choose between 2 and 3 minute quarters, why can’t we choose which version we want to play? I really liked the old receiver tie up game mechanic that resulted in lots of drops and broken up passes, now every throw is a pick or a completion. Refund please.

Perfect to Pick Up and Play. This is a fantastic game and in certain ways better than the latest and greatest on the market today. I remember a time when you could just buy a game, pop it in your console and get up and running in less than 5 minutes. Now you need to sign into accounts, be connected to WiFi, and have to download updates all the time. It’s understandable given the complexity of modern technology but it does take away from the overall experience. Mobile gaming has followed a similar route and when playing the latest FIFA and Madden games its crazy how many things you have to do to get started. Retro Bowl has brought back that nostalgic feeling to gaming and I look forward to building my team whenever I get the chance. It has a simple interface in which you are always playing offense while the defense is simulated for you. You aren’t overwhelmed with choices and being able to simply choose between passing, running, or a QB sneak instead of memorizing countless A, B maneuvers keeps the game fun and light. It’s ultimately very straightforward and something I could even see more technologically adverse people enjoy. Sometimes, simpler really is better!

This game is awesome. This game is awesome and a great way to pass the time. I have put many many many hours into it. I love the way the draft feature and the free agent feature works as well. Just adds more detail and a lot more fun into the game. One thing that I thought about for a long time and would like to recommend to the developers if they are willing to think about it is a trade feature between teams. Like how the draft and the free agency works. I think it would be cool to have another button that opens active trades for players that other teams are putting up. And you could trade your players or draft picks for their players. Maybe not every team will have a player to trade at once and maybe like free agency the options you can trade for change every few weeks so it keeps things moving and you get a lot more interaction between you and other teams. You get to do more on the coaching side like the draft and free agency while you also march your way through the season trying to get to the retro bowl. Just a thought I had and would love it if the developers would consider it. At the end of the day this is their game and it’s an awesome game either way. 5 star game for sure

BEST FOOTBALL GAME ON THE APP STORE. I love this game, I downloaded it a while back and just reinstalled it recently and love it, my head coach has won the super bowl 23 years in a row on dynamic 16 and 2 years after that (still consecutive) on Extreme! While the game is fun and the new kick off feature is really cool, it needs to be tweaked. I noticed touchdowns and yards don’t track for players when they return kicks. I just played a game with my running back as my kick returner and he got THREE kick return touchdowns! Crazy right! But his stats didn’t track and he received a rating of 2 with no touchdowns. If they get the kickoff stats to track and effect moral for the player then I’d consider this game perfect! I saw in another post that seeing star players on opposing teams would be really neat. It would be cool for my star QB to face off against a Star DB like a Brady vs Ramsey type of deal. It would add emersion into the game. That’s all, download and enjoy! Edit: A couple more things! Punt returns would be cool! The ability to skill check or rng to block field goals. New stats like tackles broken or yards after catch, I get it’s a lot of detail but I feel the creators could do it!

Better then most Madden Franchises. This is one of the best game for me on my iPad. The graphics are good, I like them and I’m a young person. Also a very good thing in this is the team morale. I love it because it adds some more depth into the gameplay and almost gives it a storyline to follow. The player ratings are also a good way to tell if a player is good or not. In the draft, that has helped me exceptionally by finding players that upgrade the positions I need and to fill gaps in the team play. That also leads me to another topic; the draft. I love how it only has 3 picks and how simple it and easy it is to make picks and find players to help the challenge of building a dynasty. I also love that after around 2 seasons you can change teams. It helps me decide wether to help try juice up another team or stay with my dynasty. Trading is also a really cool thing in this game, because sometimes the computer comes up to me to offer a trade. It can be for my players and draft picks or theirs, but I can also trade my own players. Sometimes that’s what I do to make a new team and save file challenging. Overall, one of the best games in the App Store to me, best football app by a big margin, and overall a very exciting and fun game to play. I hope if your reading this, please give it a shot, you will NOT REGRET IT!

Better than Madden ever was!. Love this game. Everything about it is straight fire. But I do have a few suggestions: 1. Defense mode - Come on. There’s no football without a defense 2. Player progression - I think non star players, if used enough, should become star players. And Vice versa. Also make use of X-Factor abilities. Or call it Retro-Factor. 3. Refs and Flags - Maybe add actual refs and show a ref saying touchdown, or announcing a penalty and stuff. Also add penalties and flags and all that. 4. Halftime! - A little halftime show wouldn’t hurt. 5. Game time - allow for maybe up to 6 minutes per quarter. 6. Plays - Allow us to choose from a playbook of plays. 7. Coin Flip - Allow us to have a coin flip mini game. 8. Zooming in on players - Make the camera zoom in on players after plays. 9. POV - Allow us to switch to players other than the quarterback before plays and let us switch between players as a play is happening. 10. Training and Practice - Allow us to train and practice before games to enhance our abilities. 11. Celebrations! - Need more of them. 12. Logo - Put team logos on the fields. That’s all I’ve got. Literally the best Mobile Game there is.. This is absolutely the best game on the App Store 100%. This is the football game that can really scratch that itch when you want to play a good football game. I play this more than any other sports game on any other platform. It nah seem to have a simplistic style with what seem like simple mechanics, can actually yield some amazing plays and memorable games. The AI is perfectly balanced and even gives me a run for my money in hard mode as it is. The management system is perfectly made, with all the drafts, trades, free agencies, administration management, you can really utilize tools to make a winning team that still gets challenged, and it’s always fun to make multiple saves and build your teams up in so many different ways. There is a team editor so you can even form a new team or make a custom league of your own teams. If I had to complain about anything I’d say fumbling feels a little too frequent, but that can be very overshadowed by everything else in this game. One debatable issue can’t even compare to all the pros about this game. 100% worth the download and it’s worth every penny to purchase the full game.

Actually better than madden. This game is amazing and one of my favorite sports games I’ve ever played. It’s so simple yet so much fun. I’ve been playing this game a ton and on one of my seasons I’m actually on year 39 which is insane. There are obviously things I wish the game had like stats of other teams and their players to see how they’re doing as well. I think my biggest problem with the game is the way defense works though. I have 11 defensive players on my one franchise because I wanted to see how it would work and it’s been fun but can be frustrating when I make maybe 1 mistake on offense and my defense can’t get a stop for some reason even though they’re all star players of 4 and up. It feels like even though I add more defensive players my defense doesn’t get better which is frustrating. It’s almost like they actually play worse. I’d just like to see more of a difference when I’m investing 11 of my 12 player slots on defense than I am seeing. With that being said this game is 5 stars without a doubt. The mechanics are fun and easy. There’s stats for your players and even a HOF for the best players you’ve ever had. They continually add good updates that make the game even better and I hope they keep going because I’m going to keep playing.

Great game, but not always balanced well. I like this game and I think it’s well worth the price to get the full version. I’ve played through probably 30 seasons so far. That said, the devs often “over-balance” the game at their updates. It seems like after every update you have to totally change your offensive game plan to be able to win games. For example, playing on the highest difficulty I was able to average 4-5 yards per rush attempt, with a nice balance of a few 10+ rushes and a few getting stuffed at the line of scrimmage. Now after the most recent update, rushing is next to impossible and with the same team I’m averaging maybe 1-2 yards per attempt with a solid half or more of attempts going for 0 or negative yards. This is with a 4 star RB and two 5 star offensive lineman. Now I basically have to throw every play, which just isn’t as fun. I don’t want to sound overly negative. I do genuinely enjoy this game. It’s a nice medium between a casual mobile sports game and playing franchise mode on Madden. Really my only complaint is that the “tweaks” that the devs list on the update notes (and in fairness to them, they do post thorough update notes) occasionally overshoot what I would consider balance.

Taught me how football works. Getting into this game has taught me how football works. No other football game has taken me past confusion with football and into understanding like this one. Like, I knew nothing about football before playing this game, nothing, and now I understand a lot! I was obsessed with this game for a while, but after a certain point I felt like there was no challenge. Every game basically plays the same way. Especially after optimizing my team, I started crushing almost every game except maybe one or two in a season. Starting a new game doesn't rekindle my interest either because the games still all play the same. I'm not sure what I'd like to see change. But I HIGHLY recommend this game all the same. Especially if it's free! Edit: Actually I'd like to play defense. Right now you don't actually play when the other team has the ball, text comes up that tells you what's happening and you don't control any of it until you get control again. If you have a low star defense, you can expect an opposing team to score every time they get the ball, making every interception devastating, and you can't do anything about it. It would be nice to have more control in order to mitigate this and also it'd just be fun! Still highly recommend.

College version!. Love this game, have played 30 seasons mobile with Jacksonville then S.F before downloading switch and getting premium or whatever the paid version is. First thing I did on my switch version is take 8 hours to convert all the teams to College teams. One division being 2025 SEC, then a collection of my top 16 personal favorite non SEC teams. It runs great and is something I can always load up and enjoy. The mobile version is just as good as the console, and is a must play. K would love to see defense added, but I fear that there’s too much to change and it could ruin the game. Defense is much harder to simulate manually. It requires much more work on computers as well. If defense is added, I feel online multiplayer is a must have as well. Being able to play against each other instead of computers, just like Techmobowl but with modern fixes is a dream of mine. Finally College football being added would be incredible, maybe just redevelopment would be good, making a whole app. Different rules that separate college from pro, most stark being OT rules would benefit from not having to jump around. All In all this game is incredible, and I’m so glad it exists. Btw For My college game, I did 6 years with Ole Miss, then switched to Tennessee Vols. Die hard Vols fan! GBO

Amazing. Awesome game. I play it whenever I have downtime or just get a chance to. The ability to customize your team and manage free agency, coaching, the draft and much more is an aspect I don’t see many other games implement. Obviously I don’t have much bad to say, but there are some tweaks I think would make it even better: Increased chance for interceptions to be by star DBs. I feel like having 2-3 really good DBs only increases the chance an INT happens, not increasing the players chance. I’d love to see my players get more chances to improve their stats so I can see the actual impact they had in their career in the HOF. Simulated games. I’ll never get tired of the game but sometimes I just don’t feel like playing the 2-13 Jaguars in week seventeen. I think simulated games would be really cool to see for research purposes on how to build a good team for newer players. Lastly, I think being able to see a players stats throughout their whole career by season would be really cool, especially if they were traded to you or picked up in FA. Idk about others but I like to see my team grow so getting that story through their stats in their whole career would be awesome.

A must-buy. I originally downloaded this game never hearing about it beforehand, played through the first three games, and came across the wall to purchase the rest of the game. For $1. After paying that $1 I have put countless hours into this game building different teams, coaching staffs, and mastering the different concepts the game had to offer. Before the most recent update, I believed it was too easy to score field goals — which was quickly remedied as it is now more difficult which is GOOD. This simple mobile game provides the GM experience you would like to see in an official EA Madden game, but simplifies the gameplay to offensive efforts only, having the defense simulate itself. Playing against teams you’ve built in the prior year can become your worst enemy as you’re going against your own evil creation. You can call audibles, timeouts, cut players, praise/fine players for certain actions, and so much more. The only recommendation I have for the developers of this game (if possible) is to try and implement a lateral system so the football can be passed off to another player close by to avoid a tackle, but with a higher chance of fumbling. Other than that, this game is an absolute must. Even if you know NOTHING about football, you will quickly pick it up and never want to put it down.

This game is great. This game is the best game on AppStore I play it all the time. It’s competitive let’s you create your own team you don’t need internet you can play it anywhere u r. It’s free u rly don’t need any money unless you want too this game isn’t payed to win. It almost never gets boring, this is the greatest game out there, although. The game has some flaws and it would b great if the developers could fix it. First the game is very competitive and that’s the whole point but this have has a little glitch for players to cheat, all you do is just close the app and open which I think that kills the whole point of the game because it’s supposed to b competitive but people take advantage and use that. something personal, my game just lost all my progress it hasn’t happened to anyone before and I really like that team it was the team I originally started with but one day I opened the app and my progress was reset. I had also naught the unlimited version and it reset too could someone help or do anything for that. Overall tho this game is fun it offers u everything. Great Concept!

Nice idea but such lazy / poor AI. I loved the original this is based on and really appreciate what the devs are ostensibly trying to do. They also have added a lot of features that are really well thought out that make the game more of a long-term experience. It’s nice that the difficulty adapts to you as you play, too. But once the difficulty reaches a certain point, the game is unplayable and laughably broken. Imagine that literally every single other player on the opposing team is 2-4 times faster than literally every single player on your team. Imagine corners being able to intercept any ball thrown within 12 feet of them — regardless of if your throw arc looks perfectly above them to your open receiver. Imagine it taking the computer 25 seconds to score a TD from 95 yards out while it takes you nearly 4 minutes to eke out a TD if you are PERFECT. Imagine throwing a ball perfectly to an open tight end and it literally bounces off their face incomplete 10-15 times in a game. Imagine knowing with 100% certainty that when the opposition gets the ball, they will invariably score a TD from anywhere on the field. Imagine it being impossible to gain more than 22 yards on any play, ever. I get that it’s a mobile game, it’s a buck, and it’s not a “football simulator”. But this is such lazily coded AI that amounts to nothing more than, “the defense is 100% flawless, 100% of the time, and at least 100% faster than 100% of your players.”

Great game but needs some fixing. Retro bowl is a great game don’t get me wrong, its just frustrating. First of all you should have the option to be one of the players meaning that you should be able to have a qb franchise or a wr franchise and not only be able to be a coach. Also you should be able to request a trade or demand a release from the team your on because I’ve been on the chargers for 6 years and I signed a 4 year contract. Also the other teams offense is a 1 star rating and I have a 5 star rating defense and the other team scores a touchdown every possession, I literally mean every possession. Also if one of my players are on a fast break the defense catches up every time. How does the defense not run out of energy yet my players have max stamina and run out of energy in like 3 seconds. Another thing, when you throw the ball it’s almost like it’s an interception every single throw. If I throw it 3 yards or less near a defender then it’s going to be an interception. If you throw it anywhere near a defender it will be an interception. Even if there not that close to it but there in diving range they still intercept it without diving, it’s annoying how I have to keep allowing points and changing possession. Also players that don’t have a name and a star above there head are just flat out useless they gain 3 yards in 5 seconds, like what’s the point. Other than that it’s a really good game and I really recommend it.

Best Game Ever. I have been playing retro bowl for 10 Seasons and it’s great. But I wish something's could change. First of all I wish you could play defense. It’s really annoying because with a low star defense the opponent will score almost every time. I wish you could change that. Secondly I wish you could tag people to the hall of fame for free. I like the game because there are intense season ending playoff games like in the retro bowl I lost 35-23 then the next season I beat the same ream 22-10. I also like the morale idea because it’s hard to keep your players morale up and it really adds challenge to it. I also like after a game it says like Jamel Nieman was seen shaking hands with the president then it gives you more fans. I like that it is 8 bit and you have to keep your fans up. You get coaching credits every game I like. Another reason why I love retro bowl is you can’t upgrade every player to five stars like other football games every player has a certain potential that is their best. Finally, I like you can get coaching credits and that you can pick up free agents, draft players, coach a new team, but it makes it hard to pick up new players because of the cap room. But I think you shouldn’t have to pay the coins and the cap room for a drafted player or a free agent. I also like how you can get new coaches.

Best iPhone game. This game is so great that there isn’t much you can do to this game to make it better. One thing I would want is to be able to play on defense or at least see your team play on defense and have an option to skip it. I would also love to add announcers kind of like madden or 2k. I also want more freedom of movement when running or catching, kind of like a one-hand catch, breaking the defender’s ankles, or a spin move would be cool. Another thing you could add is for the defense to commit flags. It’s a good advantage while being realistic. Also being able to pick the play you want to do at any time like a field goal or a punt. It took me so long to hit a 60 yard field goal because I couldn’t choose to do it there needed to be seconds left in the game to be able to kick a field goal at 60 yards. Another thing that I would want is for players with expired contracts to sign for the same they did when you got them. I lost multiple players because my players that I signed back took more than I got them for. I’m at 7/10 players right now, I don’t have a running back, linebacker, or an offensive lineman.

Mobile Game of The Year.. I’m not gonna claim to have played this before it got big, because I didn’t. But I’m so glad I picked it up when I did. Even the free version of the game is amazing, but after the dollar version I can genuinely say it’s one of if not the best mobile game I’ve ever played. Beautifully made and so well put together. I love that it’s a full retro style and not some clunky 3D type game. As well as getting to play as a GM and players, it’s a perfect balance between the two. And as someone who can easily get bored of other mobile games in a week or less I can always count on RB to satiate my boredom. I also don’t know how you guys could do it and I’m sure it would take a lot of work but adding star players to other teams would be awesome, as well as them having individual stats. I’m also not sure how or if it would work. But defense. I know I would 100% enjoy that. I’m sure also a good majority of players would love to see a retro basketball or even a retro baseball game. The developers of this entire project have done God’s work with this game and I can’t want to see what the future of this company brings.

FAVORITE APP PERIOD. The game is without a doubt one of my favorite apps i’ve ever downloaded and i continue to love playing this game. Although, i think they should update it with a feature where you can see opposing teams roster, coaches, facility ratings, etc. They should also do something where you can simulate different choices during the game like getting an injured player halfway through the game so you have to make a decision on whether or not to let them keep playing type of scenario. I also think that letting you choose your defense set up or different defensive plays would be cool. I say that because of the fact the game only uses a 4-3 defense and i’d love to see my team with a 3-4 defense and occasionally a 5-1 defense on the goal line maybe. I think it would also be neat if they added the option of drafting or getting a punter from the free agents list where the better the punter would also help with a better, more dominant performance from the defense cause the offense would have to gain more yards. The option to not only customize your team on premium but also your stadium, field, and stands would be really neat. Getting the option to make an avatar for yourself as the head coach would be really cool or the option to edit parts of your story leading up to becoming head coach of that team that you chose or got selected to. I think these would be really cool in a future update to the game or even a possible sequel. Nonetheless 5 star game without a doubt!!

Well done. Love the passing. The gameplay is nostalgic and it actually is well made. Enjoyed it throughout the first season. It has scenarios after each game which you can control. Like if a player stayed out after curfew or was caught with drugs. You can control if you want to discipline them or ignore. It will add fans or drop moral and each game gives experience so you can level your players. You get to choose what ability to upgrade like QB hits level 2 you can pick arm strength/ accuracy/ stamina or speed. Has full stats for each game / year / and career for each star player. You spend just $1 you can name everyone for your favorite teams. Hire coaches and upgrade stadiums. It’s really well done. Only down side so far is you don’t get to play defense and the RB and WR just run in a strait line after they do their route. You have to swipe up or down to dodge but feels kinda basic. Wish it had a directional pad to control. But the QB play is a lot of fun. You control how far you want or to throw short or lead the WRs. And of coarse it looks just like tecmobowl. Definitely recommend if you are a fan of the old game. I can’t stop playing it.

Some more depth elements. 1. The fans seem to shift to much, for example they could love you then you lose one game and you lose like 20% fan interest. So that needs to be bumped down a little. 2. Add more control over play calling. So you could add a system for offense where every play you have three options to pick from. Then on defense you could make it so you have a pass defense play, run defense play, and balanced play (run and pass). And to decide which one to choose it gives you a percentage chance of which play the offense would call. So if it’s 60/40, 60 for pass, 40 for run. You have a better chance of getting a pick with a pass play but if they call a run play they will get a big gain. Since it’s 60/40. Then same thing with other percentages. 3. Add an option for playbooks. This, would play into hiring coordinators like some scan have a aggressive defense some have pass heavy offense and etc. 4. Finally make it an option for you to start off coaching in college so you can stay there if you don’t want to be in the nfl. Maybe if you do well get a chance in the nfl, if you do poorly you get moved down to a lower conference team like from sec to sun belt or you could just go to a less known college. Also please make these free because I believe these would make this game a five star app.

Good enough. Game is fun and easy to get into and start enjoying right away. Lots of customization that don’t have anything to do with gameplay (uniform and ball style, for instance) which do add an element of fun. As for gameplay it’s fairly routine and the rhythm of the game is predictable. There’s a few mechanical issues with the way the game is played. One problem is setting the ball on either hashmark which the NFL does not do but always instead places at the ball in the middle of the field creating angular kicks. In college the ball is placed on the nearest hashmark. Also when a player falls down without having been touched by another player in the NFL the play is still live. In college the play ends. However in RB the college rule applies so there is an inconsistency there. You can’t make any substitutions during the game. This detracts considerably from you thinking you’re actually coaching since once the game starts you’re locked into whatever players are there. The defense management is passive. Nevertheless, I was able to go into about my fifth season and with a new team (Cleveland) won the Retro Bowl in my first season as their coach. The only upgrade I purchased was the basic $.99 upgrade. I had a good draft and reinvested my coaching credits into team health and morale.

Bought it and was not disappointed. The game is now free, but even when it wasn’t I was looking for a game exactly like mid you I don’t really care for football I’m more of a basketball guy but I played one free season and was amazed back at its early stage I couldn’t help but buy since my birthday was in a few days with a small very small portion of the money I bought this game and nba2k20 mobile I played retro bowl and I have been playing for 1 year and just recently stared really playing this a game agin like a month ago I won 4 championships in a row I maintain and stack my roster I have attachment to my players I wish you could look at everyone in the leagues stats tho and there was deeper progression system I want intel on teams and when I don’t sign a player I want to see where he goes i also want a option to sim games although there aren’t that many I sometimes don’t wanna play some, I showed my friend and he can’t stop playing this game he wants a stacked roster like me but I’ve been playing so long and also bought some stuff you might be a one man team but take you time and make this happen I’m a happy Customer I want it to be EVEN better though write me back if you see so we can chat maybe.

Best football game I've played. This is what a great game looks like. I'm not one to usually rate a game, but this one deserves it. It keeps calling me back to play it and that is something I see in console games not mobile games, but these developers did great. Yes it is retro which is a let down due to the fact that I play 3D games but that doesn't particularly matter, what matters is the fact that it's fun Now even though it is a fun and amazing game, it does have its flaws, for example your never explicitly shown how the catching works, I had a guy on my little marker showing where the ball was going but the guy three feet in front of him intercepted it, another issue is that you don't get a defensive gameplay view, just text bubbles telling you what's happened, it makes the game faster but it makes it feel like you're not fully in control of your team, I would be happy with just watching it instead of reading it, one I feel a bit more control because I can see who's not doing well or who is great, secondly similar to my first point, I'll be able to know who's my weakest link, if that was fixed I would be happy. Nonetheless this is a great game, but needs a few adjustments

Really good game. Overall 10/10 game but a couple changes could be made to make it even better. First I think the trading system could be expanded upon. The option to trade players for players or picks for players would be cool. Also a trading block and ability to trade multiple players/picks would be great. Another thing I would change is the option for a legit Hail Mary. Most NFL quarterbacks can throw at least 50 - 60 even yards even at the end of a game but the max a quarterback can throw in this game is like 30 or 35. Maybe near the end of a half or game the option to call a Hail Mary where your quarterbacks arm strength and receivers speed increases significantly but it is still a very difficult play would be awesome. Another problem is with the simulation mode. I think simulating games was a great addition to the game but the players stats are clearly completely off of what happened in the game. For example, sometimes a kicker will miss twice in a game but afterwards it will show he was perfect or you will score 4 touchdowns but it will show the quarterback threw four himself and the runningback scored one rushing. Also, the new retrobowl mvp award has some issues. It keeps getting awarded to the players who barely made an impact. My tight end had 3 catches for 29 yards and won it over everyone else. Other than these things the game is pretty much perfect.

More than I expected!. Man this game is simple, fun, and awesome! Not only do you control the office but you are in charge of the entire team, staff, facilities and attributes for everyone you control. You are the GM and head coach and you have to make decisions that you deem right for your players, coaches, fans and franchise. This game was well thought out and exciting. Even the difficulty is unique as your players performance depends on how well they trained or how tired they are from previous games, plus the strength of your opponent. Low rank teams will put up a fight but the high ranked teams will demolish you if you’re not careful! I’m in week 14 and in a tight run to make the playoffs! There’s so much that goes into your decision making like a real GM and I would’ve never thought this game would have it all. It would’ve been great to control some defense too, I drafted 3 DEF rookies to start my new team. But playing offense is just as fun. This definitely gives you some Tecmo Bowl memories but this is a great adaptation. Highly recommend this game! And if my review doesn’t convince you, the menu music alone is worth your $1!!! The retro synths with the beat drop is straight FIRE!!! RETRO BOWL LESSSGOOO!!!

Good but could be a lot better. It’s a fun time-waster, but there is a fine line between simple and easy. This game is just easy. After I was used to the mechanics, in the second full season, I went 19-0. Receivers are always open at the line which usually gets you 5+ yards a play just like that. It would be more fun if it was more difficult. You should make it so that receivers are guarded tighter so it isn’t so easy, make running give you a little more yards on average so the game isn’t so pass heavy, and allow us to kick a field goal from whatever the REAL maximum is. I made a 63 yarder with ease earlier. We all know those “seconds” aren’t really seconds. Two RB seconds are practically equal to one real second. Either change how long your seconds last or add more of them. The biggest thing probably is allowing us to play defense. This will make the game way more fun for everyone, and give another huge aspect to the game. If you do this, PLEASE do not make it easy. If you have to, add difficulty settings. I haven’t downloaded the full version, but I don’t think there are settings for that on there. This game has big potential. Make sure you update it often so the game is more enjoyable and doesn’t start to get boring. Do all these things and it’s 5 stars from me.

Good game with flawed design. For a free game and even a dollar it’s good but it has some major problems. While I enjoy the mechanics and aesthetic, clearly development of the dynamic difficulty system suffered. It seems to me that the developer didn’t know how to make AI defense more skilled which I suppose I wouldn’t either so higher difficulty simply makes your players drop the easiest catches known to man significantly more often the higher your difficulty level. In fact, it seems that your players drop easy catches frequently in general, but the insanely high frequency which this occurs at in high difficulty is simply ridiculous. This increased difficulty also makes your defense essentially non existent so it’s a game of keeping up on offense and winning off a last second field goal. My other problem with this game would be the running. While it’s already quite bad that you can generally only throw up to like 20 yards or so, your players run out of stamina very quickly so you can generally expect them to run at most 20 yards after the catch which is in my opinion really dumb. This forces you into letting touchdowns by in score or go home moments when your receiver was wide open and far away from any defenders because he just starts walking towards the end zone after running 10 yards. It also makes the run game utterly unviable. If these 2 main issues aforementioned were fixed, it’s a 5 star for me.

Fun retro style game. Better with the premium version. This game is very fun. I’m on yr 13 on my save slot. I paid the dollar for the premium version and it’s definitely worth it plus the 25 CC. I am dedicated to keeping my QB on the team. He is 4 1/2 stars with MAXED arm strength. He has 3 rings and 3 MVPs. I like the option to switch from team to team. One thing that could change is when you switch back to one of your teams after one year I wish you could still have some of your former players. The good thing about the premium is that you can tag them for your HOF so you can remember your former players and see how many rings and awards they had as well as there stats. This game is worth the download and it barely takes any space up which is a plus. I strongly recommend getting the premium version for the dollar just to get started. One good strategy that I used to get started after a while of playing is once you start trade your players that are not so good for draft picks so you can pick younger better players. I also like being able to have 5 save slots at the same time. It’s good also because you don’t have to spend money to win like most other games and it has no annoying pop ups of new offers. It has a very simple shop where you can get CC coaching credits, as well as websites to browse at shirts and hoodies. Over all this is a 100/5 stars worth the download.

Best Mobile Game I’ve Ever Played!. I love this game alot! When I first downloaded it I played 4 hours straight no lie! Very addicting to will you’re draftees to a super bowl (haven’t done it yet lol) I love the team/league editing, for someone who loves aesthetics they really hit it out of the park!! Only tweaks I would love to see implemented would have to be 1. Defense, yah it would probably be hard but my defense can’t seem to stop anyone anyway so im up to the challenge lol 2. Some Type Of System where I can make my own trades for players nd not picks 3. there needs to be a playbook option like madden mobile, Playaction, Run, Short, Long Pass. Think it would make things more interesting nd keep offenses looking original 4. If Everything is gonna cost coins, there needs to be more coins handed out, seems once I get enough coins to do something I gotta put my players conditioning back up taking me back to zero coins. One last thing I would like to suggest is to expand the # of saves, I think 10 would be suffice, I want to play as all my favorite teams from day 1 and not jump mid save if you get my drift. Anyway That is all I would to do make this game a 10/10 master piece, thank y’all for making this game!!!

BETTER THAN MADDEN. This game is good period. Without a doubt the second you download this game, your hooked. Improving your team with pixels from way back when, that’s amazing! First thing I would suggest is being able to play Defence. I just think it would be so cool if you were able to play with the your opponents but on Defence. That would also provide room for multiplayer. I think it would also be cool if you could play with a friend, play by play. Second thing I would suggest is logos for teams. That would be put in the middle of the field of course and where you keep the score. Third thing is Being able to make longer games. With Defence and longer games, this would Improve your game better than it already is. Fourth. I think people have already asked this a billion times, but it’s just a good idea. You should be able to have a mode that allows you to have real players, current and past. Such as Tom Brady or Brett Favre. Fifth, and last. Simulator mode. Kinda like a idle game where you upgrade things but better. I think it would be cool to be able to build and improve stadiums and be able to see what your doing, and make restaurants inside your stadium. This is one of the random ideas, but I’m just trying to provide suggestions for future updates. Love it but wish there could be more things. I love the game but it just feels the same thing every single time you play. Ok so I rated this game based of of playing and I have played this game for like 2 or 3 years and there is nothing new like when can you add challenge flags or even flags in general plus why must the game never have any cool stuff like when will cometary be a thing we’ll never mind anyway why can’t there be a my career mode like why must this game be the same and I play on extreme and I’m still getting a perfect season like I have went up against New England 10 times so far in the nfl and please add an extra do you want to trade the player and I feel like the trade button doesn’t give you a trade and I feel like if there is a player you put in the hall of fame then you should be able to sine them but there contracts are more expensive plus I feel like if you have more than 20 rings I feel like your character gets like bonas cc like you could get 100 rings and nothing would happen plus I hate how character’s contracts go up every time there contracts are ending like I feel like they should ad a button that is 50/50 of lowering the price please add some of these changes plus I bout the expansion to you make my roster bigger and change the teams color and that stuff but It didn’t work so I just lost money so please just give me the expansion I paid for it😡😡😑😑

It’s good. Very easy, but good.. Update: When changing the conference name, the championship should say the new conference name, not the basic NFC/AFC. In the season records in my countries league (took me 5 hours to make lol) it says NFC champs for one year, and it bothers me because everything else says EFC. Please fix. Alright, I’ve been playing this game for a long time, starting playing it near its release. I recommend playing on hard difficulty, otherwise the game is very boring and easy. It’s still easy on hard difficulty, but a bit more fun. It’s a great game. I think that QBs don’t fumble enough. This is a simple request that could change, IDK and I don’t mind if it doesn’t. I also think DBs on the opposing team if they have a good defense should be physical and dive for the ball and stuff. Stop making the game easier please. I want a harder challenge, so please at least tweak some things for the hard difficulty. 1I know coding is difficult and it would be hard to do these things, but still it might make the game more challenging and fun. Great work devs. Retro Bowl has been one of my top 3 favorite games consistently these years.

Fun but lacking. Wish there were the possibility of penalties (perhaps a combination of skill/XP and morale?) and i don’t like having no control over my defense beyond picking the players and the DC. Having control over the plays on offense would be nice. Like picking the plays and setting the playbook before the game. Maybe knowing what team has as a preference for on offense (like pass heavy, run often) and being able to tailor your defense in an effort to stop the opposing team. If I can’t direct my defense, being able to set it for blitzing the QB, covering the WR, or whatever would be a suitable compromise. Lastly, it’s annoying that when I call an audible, the CPU defense shifts. The point of calling an audible is adjusting the offensive play after seeing the defensive coverage. For example, if you were about to pass but see the defensive coverage is favoring pass blocking, you can audible for a run and pick up yardage. The defense would have to adjust but it wouldn’t be instant like in the game currently. Overall, it is fun but fun enough to wish it had more. If it did incorporate those suggestions; penalties; more interaction wile on defense; playbook selection; and audibles not shifting the CPU defense; I would 100% buy this game on multiple platforms. As it stands now, it’s great as a free game. Weather and replay isn’t interesting enough for me to shell out money.

What I think. I feel like overall the game is really good I feel like #2 football game in the App Store obviously behind madden but I prefer this game I like everything is has to offer with hopes there’s more updates in the future I feel like the game is fun but it’s missing something to me I feel like star players make a difference but you can’t really do any moves I feel like qb scramble could definitely get more interesting I don’t like how you can’t play defense it’s almost pointless to get defensive players to me overall I feel like gameplay is my biggest problem I’m waiting for some massive update or something where this game will dominate the app market The off-season is also very cool wish there was more to the draft process and I wish free agency was a thing I think the coaches kinda make a difference maybe let’s higher rank coaches have access to different plays or something to make it feel like they actually matter outside a buff or upgrade In conclusion I feel like this is a really fun game and I will continue to play it hopefully this game becomes more of a complete football but as of now still think this a good quality game Also I feel like trading is fun I wish you could trade your own picks for other teams players or picks and make the game more competitive I get it’s a fast paced game but I wouldn’t mind it slowing down for better quality

Best sports game on App Store!. This game is incredible, I love everything about it, but that doesn’t mean there’s room for improvement. One thing I wish you would do is add it so you can see a opposing teams roster, coaches, etc. along with during gameplay you can see your opponents Star players on defense, like how you do with the users players. I’m pretty sure other people have said this in their reviews too, but it would be awesome if we were able to start in college or choose to stay in college, I don’t care if I have to pay for that feature, I would get it either way. Another one is of course the option to play on defense as well. I think it would be cool if you added a simulation feature to it, so you can sim games you don’t wanna play, because sometimes after like 5 full seasons of games, you just kinda get tired of playing and wish you could progress your career and franchise without actually having to play the football game. Also I think it should be easier to get Coach Credits, sometimes it’s really hard to resign guys because you don’t have enough cap room, but the only way to make more is to either cut someone or pay Coach Credits to expand the cap, but the expansion cap is mega expensive and the only way to get it without paying real money for more Coach Credits is to farm them for like 10 season. I think if you add this stuff this game becomes App games hall of fame worthy. Keep updating and make this game even better!

Good bones but a few suggestions. First and foremost, this game is already a lot of fun. All I feel it really needs is a few improvements to better both the actual gameplay and simulation aspects of it. Pass interference is my key gripe. Really takes the wind out of drives and is a bit frustrating, especially when you first takeover a new team and have bad personnel. Secondly, being able to change formation and choose where your personnel go on the field would be a welcome change. Thirdly, I have yet to experience growth from my coaches, unless I have been doing something wrong, getting my coaches xp is something that hasn’t occurred yet. Finally, maybe some end of league accolades or a player HOF to encourage retaining players and building their story and legacy towards your team. It might not have been what you sought out for when you started out but the potential of this game is off the chain! Thank you so much for making this. PS: The salary cap forced me to cut some players in order to complete the draft. Is there an option to forego draft picks or can one be made to trade a draft pick for a pick the following year? Fun to play - Kind of a rip-off. Yeah, it’s addictive. And fun for awhile. But after I paid for the unlimited version, and paid to increase the salary cap, all my best players started getting injured… regularly. It’s a given at this point that when I begin a new season, one, two, or even three of my players is going to miss at least a third of it. As I write this, my running back, wide receiver and one of my defensive backs is injured; and will be out for multiple games. My quarterback just returned from a 5 game stint on the IL. If the developers want to improve the game, there should be an option to turn off injuries. Because of this issue, I can only give the game 2 stars. Update April 21: So I’m reducing my rating to one star, because the developers recoded the game to essentially make your Running Back useless (My 5 Star RB is now a crappy third receiver). I was in the middle of a season when the last update was released, and my RB went from averaging 70-80 rushing yards per game to less than 20! On most attempted running plays, he’s not even getting to the line of scrimmage. The same is true of your Offensive Linemen (I have two highly rated OL’s, but my Quarterback is sacked multiple times per game - I played one game where he was sacked 6 times by a 2 star defense). They went from averaging 10-12 blocks per game to 2. Were other players clamoring for these drastic changes? Who knows? But it really did not improve the gameplay at all.

Nostalgic App that takes you back to the best of an era. I don’t ever write reviews but I love this game! Definitely one that brings back memories of my youth and has the same great action! Love the player skill development and free agency and draft features. Coordinator hires and development with traits adds to the game play as well. Retro feel but with dynamic features that app developer put a twist on. Look forward to more updated versions that could possibly add more roster slots so you have younger players on deck to build up skill-wise while veteran players get ready to retire. Would love to review other team player stats and also a leaderboard with comparable stats for each position. More realistic trade scenarios where trades are proposed to your team as well as you can go in and request a player trade from opposing teams. The app should have the ability to track or realistically keep stats on previously developed players from old teams if you change teams and if they also get traded once your heading a new team. That would give you the ability to pursue and trade or sign previous players you’ve had on your roster and have had success with before. Also lastly, developers can surely bump up the difficulty in the AI just a few notches for more challenging seasons. Looking forward to more app developments and updates!

This is probably one of the best games, however... I really do enjoy this game, it’s a fun game to pass the time. The gameplay is clean and the decisions you make actually matter. I also feel that even though you can “pay to win” it feels worse and less rewarding than if you play the game as intended. My problem arises when the AI takes over defense. Note, I like to play the game on hard with three minute quarters. I constantly find myself running into the problem at being at the mercy of my defense to win games. I’m sure the devs are working on a way to play defense, but as of right now it makes the game feel incomplete. Even with a five star defense with four and five star players there isn’t anything I can do if I get a bad roll of the dice except cheat and restart the app hoping for a better one. And if I choose to play on a lower difficulty I just win because the enemy defensive AI is significantly easier on medium. Closing thoughts: even though I really do like this game, but it feels incomplete, and for that I can’t rate it any higher than three stars. I really hope the devs are working on defensive gameplay, and I hope just as much that it feels are rewarding as the offense. Thanks for the great game though, and keep up the good work!

Best app for passing time. Games are short and easy for premium team customization is great I literally made a whole college roster with it gameplay is amazing the graphic are simple but amazing passing and running are great but things they could improve on is that there should be a option to put one of your players on kick returns cause i don’t like how slow the normal ones are and I feel like they could improve on dynamic difficulty I wanna feel the struggle against a 8-2 team and not the score being 60-20 and then the next week where a 1-8 team drops 55 on me and I barely get by but that’s pretty much my problems with the second one I can just easily change the difficulty to extreme I like the role of the upgrade system with the franchise like the stadium where if you lose with a 1 stadium your fan base basically goes to 100 to 50 from 1 lose to a 10 stadium where the fan base is barely affected like the role coordinators play and the attributes play but to finally cut this off my take away is you can pick up this game do the bare minimum by just playing games or get into the more complicated side with managing cap , coordinators, facilities, contracts , players morale or condition and trying to break records and you can get caught up in it I’ve never been more invested in a franchise centered sports game since like 2014 with ncaa 14 and if this game to me is better than madden 23 as a whole that says a lot

great app can i Suggest something???. so when i got this game it was kinda just another game on my phone but one time when i was playing it my sibling whose in highschool told me that the boys at lunch in highschool always play it so i started playing more. its so fun and makes you really stratagize and plan how to use ur cc heres my idea tho it would be really cool if there was a choice to try to make the defence jump and get five yards and it would be almost like the onside kick and ud have like a 40% chance, also refs would be cool to see on the field and sidelines and u could add some low chance penalties like if player has a toxic moral they would have a higher chance of getting into a fight or something, one last thing last time i was playing my qb had an ingery and i thought it would be cool at the end of a play it go back to the qb and hed be on the grownd and medics would come out and take him of the field and after the game it would say the same thing,,, you dont have to add these i just think those would make the actuall field game more realistic thanks for making a great game

Super fun but needs some easy fixes. i started playing a few weeks back and i love this game, but one thing i found difficult was my morale was always so low with no way to bring it up. i felt like every game a player had a dui or was fighting. there are very few positive situations that arise, like i could throw for 800 yards and the postgame interview would be “what are your thoughts on (insert DB) today” and the two options are both negative. not to mention the fact that i can be 6-0 with 70% fan approval, then lose one game and it plummets to 45% approval (yes that actually happened) there needs to be more positive rewards. secondly i think the draft picks really shouldn’t start with such high ratings. maybe put one or two that start out as like 3 star prospects, but most of them should just be 1 or 2 star players with POTENTIAL to be 5 star, giving you an incentive to hold onto your investment. and also maybe make make coaching credits a little easier to get? everything is super expensive and by the time i can afford to upgrade facilities or get better coaching, my star players are retiring or on different teams and i have no QB because i spent all my coins on a 3 star offensive coordinator. again, fantastic game, but please take some of these things into consideration. thanks!

Pretty good. This game is really nice and cool. Way better than madden mobile. Excellent work. Only 2 complaints. Add PI penalties. My receivers are getting bodyslammed before they can catch it and then the pass gets picked off. But the thing that really gets me is that, when you join a new team at the end of a season, their star rating is lower than what it is on the screen where choose players! Even if I resign all the players that ran out of contract, it’s still lower! Pls fix. Other than those two things, this game is Amazing! Thanks!

Simple yet beautiful. This game achieves the difficult task of making something easy to learn and difficult to master despite relatively simple gameplay. An effortless time waster that will keep you going for hours.

Great Game, but it could improve!. This game is overall great but after you get the hang of it and have the best team it gets boring, here are some things you can consider adding: 1. A 2 player system (You can play against friends in the same device) 2. Being able to defend like in the madden mobile game 3. Commentators (It will make the game more exciting) 4. Multiple fan sound effects/ chants. 5. Being able to hear audibles. 6. Laterals 7. More ups and downs (it is boring seeing the same crisis or benefits) These are some examples you could consider adding. This will make it far more interesting and fun!

Sick game - some ideas. Love the game have been playing it for about a year now. I would love to see the game add trade between other teams instead of only free agents, like I could trade 2 picks for a round 1 value player or something like that. A game this style would also be awesome for a basketball game!

Worth the money. I’ve never paid for a phone game before until I found Retro Bowl. This game is honestly fantastic. I’d expect nothing less from a New Star Games game. All sport games should aim to have the same quality as NSG games. Awesome

Can’t stop playing!. This game is soooo fun but simple. The controls are easy to learn. I love all of the menu options and the draft makes this game even more fun. I love the challenge of trying to beat better teams and trying to win the retro bowl while picking up better players. The only thing I would change about this game is if it had more game modes maybe. Like having online and friendlies so you can vs your friends. The option of defence would also be brilliant. But even if these things never happen, I won’t stop playing this game!

Best American football game on iOS. Once again conclusive proof that playability will win out over graphics. Deep experience building a franchise and end of season drafts and roster development as well as fantastic game play harking back to the classic Tecmo bowl.

Great game even with the free version. Simple but enjoyable game. You’re given the opportunity to build a team from bottom dwellers to champions through drafting and upgrading your front office. Offense only is the only thing I can fault with it

Amazing game but…. I love this game but there are a few tweaks that need to happen well one main tweak which is why do we have to pay for the whole game when you would get a lot more people in by not getting people to pay for the whole experience other than that the game is so fun and addicting (pls listen to me please I would love to know why)

The perfect football game. Retro Bowl is incredible. I’ve been having such a fun time. The controls are amazing, the pixel style graphics are so perfect and I love all the franchise features as they keep me coming back. This is the perfect football game for iOS. Thank you! Please add trucking by holding the screen. Can the ball carrier moves be upgraded to where you don’t lose as much stamina as fast, and to truck while holding the screen

Very good game but…. This is a very well made game and I love it as it’s soo well made. But for some reason there is a glitch in the game where everything just slowly when in a match, it’s very annoying because the only way to fix this is deleting the game and re downloading the game. Please fix this. But everything else is very good and I highly recommend it.

Fantastic Find!. I’m not sure how I stumbled across this game but I’m glad that I did as it is now my go to game when I have 5 mins, 15 mins or 50 minutes to spare. Well done to the developers for coming up with such a fun and addictive title!

LOVE IT BUT….. I love the game and everything it offers. From the drafts to the coaching staff to even how the game gives off its energy. Yet there’s one thing I would ask from the developers is that as a huge basketball fan. PLEASE MAKE A BASKETBALL VERSION OF THE GAME. Love the game, not sure about the update. I like the bullet pass, but the responsiveness when trying to juke or dive is lagging now which is frustrating when going QB sneaks etc. only happened on this last update. Hopefully a quick fix

Best. Game. Ever!. Okay, this game is flat out insane, when I had to get the full version I was a little reluctant, but this game is incredible! Only 2 things I’d like to see. Can we have infinant pages of Player HOF? And also, add Pass Interference penalties. I don’t wanna see the game get too technical with rules, but my receivers are wrestling with defenders and getting tackled before the pass gets to them! Retro bowl. I’m Australian so I never really knew how to play American football but this game taught me and it is so fun and passes the time so well, great for car rides as it brings you along as a manager and a player, and no ads or anything so it’s a perfect game 10/5 if I could do that

New favourite game!. I’ve been a one game guy for a few years now and I’ve struggled to find a new go to game. Within minutes of playing this I knew I had found a new game that will annoy my wife as much as the old one does.

This is an all time CLASSIC. Right now!. Easy to learn but difficult to master. This game is so addictive because it’s both fun and challenging. The catching is great but once you figure out the running game it goes to another level. Love changing names, love the decision making away from the field. Should I cut these Coach’s? Should I rest a player? Can I can win with great receivers but maybe a low rated QB? Love the stats, love the trades, love the game play . . . LOVE THIS GAME!

Ratings mean absolutely nothing.. When your 5 star offense struggles vs a 2 star defense and your 5 star defense can’t stop a 2 star offense, you know this game is an utter waste of time. I have raised this question multiple times for the Devs, they delete the review. What a useless company. Don’t believe the bot 5 star reviews, your players are constantly injured, ratings don’t mean anything and it’s not even a fun waste of time.

This is Awesome!. This a fantastic game filled with smart plays and fun things to do. I rate this game very highly not only because it’s fun but because I think that NFL is great. You have to play this game.

Fun game, great features!. The developers achieved what they set out to do. Created a fun, retro football game with a nod to Tecmo Bowl. It’s more of a team management simulation, than an arcade style game. Still very fun and has great, well designed features and gameplay.

Why no defence??? Why no play customisation?. This game is ALMOST there.... BUT.... Why aren’t we able to play both sides? We spend all this time and attention building out a defence (hiring defensive coach, drafting defensive players, etc...), but defence is a total n/a when it comes to gameplay. How come? It would seem we should at least be allowed to pick the defensive set-up (blitz, zone, man on man, etc..) and have some control over stopping the opponents offence. Also, a module to allow you to design your own plays would greatly enhance gameplay.

One problem with retro bowl. This is a really good game, I love pixelated games and this one is by far the best. A big problem about this game is at the start you may verse a tough team and have a really high chance of losing. I didn’t download this game to get intercepted every 2nd throw. Other than that, it is a pretty good game

Amazing Football Game.. This is an awesome football game. I’m a big fan of pixel games. I purchased the full version yesterday and I’m happy with the purchase, it is nice and cheap! I like how the games don’t feel boring. In a future update could you make it possible to bring 1 player from your old team to a new team. Or maybe have a daily challenge that gives you a few cc. ‘Fatal Error’ crashes!. Love the game, but please sort out the random ‘Fatal Error’ crashing that happens randomly and wipes out all your game history, forcing you to start all over again. I’ve had it happen after 3 seasons and even after 8 seasons…!

Fun and all but.... Great game one problem I’ve had is that is I want to make a play with the quarterback it glitches and gives it to the running back which one reason I’ve lost many games overall this is the only problem I’ve had other than that I love this game😊

Lots of fun. You don’t need fancy graphics, you just need addictive and fun game play. Can you manage to roster your own NFL franchise team and then hold you nerve as you control your QB trying to make that Q4 touchdown pass?

Great game but far from perfect. This is a game that I got recently but already love. The graphics are cool and simple and the gameplay while repetitive has a unique style. As far as the problems go they are more like suggestions to improve not reasons to not play. I wish there was an option to defend, that there were more options in the main menu, the game gets a little repetitive and once you get the hang of the controls can be easy. Love the game though and would recommend for people to download.

Sim game. This game is a classic, super fun and enjoyable but one thing that annoys me is the sim game. The team I have right now is 5 star for both offence and defence and sometimes when I pick sim game a team that has 2 star offence and 3 star defence will win like how does it work and why aren’t I winning against them much more

Great game but one more thing will make this game even better. I love this game it is very addicting. I love how your team starts off bad then over the years you get more money and better players and try and win the retro ball. But I what would make it better when you trade your players you can get players in return for them instead of picks. Like we can choose any player from any teams and choose the player you want from that team and propose a trade to see weather they accept. It would be more exciting then just getting a 1st, 2nd or a 3rd round pick when trading a player.

Excellent game. Latest update fantastic. Such a good game. Fantastic replay. Love the new icons denoting mvp and bowl rings. Would be awesome to have these in stats pages too. Would also be cool to expand stats for best in league tables and best of all time for various stats. Could you increase the Salary cap each season if team tops group/league/bowl? Would be nice not to have to cut some players when they need to be renewed. Latest update is great.

Transferring game data. Love this game, can you please make it so you can transfer your saves from different devices. I have been playing on my Mac and would like to play on my phone but can’t get my progress transferred. Please add this into the game.

Great game. I don’t know if the developers at new star games reads these because this is the first time writing a review, but I was thinking about the idea of a two player event, where each person chooses a team that they want to be, and then they have a great game of football.

G’day, great game, just have a few suggestions. *Able to play on defence too. *Manually receive kickoffs and kick off. *Manually punt and return punts. *Option to play 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 minute quarters. *The quality of team ratings changes over a few seasons (the same teams always appear to dominate and make the playoffs, even after about 20 seasons of playing). Interesting there’s no female icons you can choose for at least the head coach position…In Aus people would be up in arms. Top 3 iphone game - just needs a few more things. Love this game What’s good is the simple mechanics, the fun details and stats for your players. I do have feedback that I think would send this game to the hall of fame for iphone games. - just a few more detailed stats if possible, like which year each player won a championship or an award, or which year and game did they break a record in - like retro bowl college, replays after big plays - the option to watch a sum of your defence on the field - the stars highliting the opposing teams best defensive players - I personally find the game very easy as i have multiple leagues where i have yet to lose a single game and they are 50 year seasons, i think it would benefit if there was an extreme mode where there could be season ending injuries or career ones, and other teams were fantastic - more variety in positions, basically there could be some more mobile quarterbacks/tight ends or perhaps some strong receivers who lose a bit of speed - super nitpicky but random generated, generational talent in a draft, where one player is completely maxed out and over time he costs a lot more for his contract - side note* maybe a baseball, hockey, or basketball game would be awesome! Overall these are just some thoughts of mine over the years playing this game. I would love to see them and I’m not entirely sure how difficult it is to implement. At the end of the day these aren’t needed I just think they bring benefits without any negatives. Thank you for this game!

New stuff to try. I love this game but I find that it would be better if we could punt return and have the options to fair catch the ball, like holding down for a while. Another thing I would love to see in the game is that once you player makes a driving catch and lands on the ground without any opponent nearby I would like the player to get back up and continuing to run down the field. Overall love this game and it’s can be addicting at times. I also love that it doesn’t have to be on wifi.

This game is only fun for a day or so. As soon as you collect enough points to ad good players to your roster, all the players I added where injured in less than 2 games leaving me with no wr, no qb, no rb, for 5 games how tf am I supposed to carry the ball 100 yds with players I can’t change or upgrade and also they can’t catch

This game is fun and time consuming, I love the exhibition mode because you can choose your matchups instead of it given to you automatically, I’m considering buying the unlimited version because the extra features look so fun and 1.39$ for kickoff returns, weather settings, custom names, being able to make your own team and choose whatever colours you want, and all the other things seems like a great deal for 1.39$

Glitch since latest update. Love the stop sim feature, but since that last update when starting new saves the rams and giants show up as ny/la "n" and the chargers and jets show up as ny/la "a" idk if that's on purpose due to copyright laws but they're named after their conferences rather than the real names

Slow motion glitch. There’s a problem where the game becomes slow motion randomly. I’ve looked online and tried the tips recommended but seems to not go away.

The game is fun. But I went 10 and 0 and my qb got injured then I went 13 and 0 and my qb got injured again for 3 games then I went 16 and 0 the win a game with my real qb then we made playoffs and he got injured for 5 games so he can not make the retro bowl. I get that u did not want me to make playoffs but like u have to do it like that just take out getting injured

Lost interest. It gets boring playing Dallas every year in the playoffs. Should have made the teams more even instead of having a few teams with high ratings every year. Stopped playing as it was monotonous.

You get to take the coaching role as any nfl team you like or even create a new team. And this game is less than $2 at the time of this review. Get this game! Transfer saves. I played retro college bowl as Hawaii and after winning the major championship with them I wanted to play retro bowl. Immediately when entering my first thought was that I should be able to transfer my data from retro college bowl to retro bowl so that I could play with or against my players that were drafted from college. And I’d also like to choose which college I coached at in retro bowl so I can continue my career as if I got hired after winning the major chip to coach in the NFL. Instead of the random college that’s assigned to me. Otherwise I loved playing retro college bowl.

Please update or fix bug. When I open the app it starts up but then when it’s supposed to go to the load menu, the game will close and send me back to my phone screen. Please fix. I love this game.

Definitely worth paying the two dollars extra for premium version. Minor criticism: Would love for there to be a mode that doesn’t set the AI to max stats but gives them better defensive IQ. Tight end position is a bit broken. He’s always open and uncovered. My tight end has multiple mvps lol

Can’t get in. The game is great but after 5 games I couldn’t play anymore. It kicks me out every single time!! Please fix it!!!

Needs updates / improvements. The game starts off fun but as you get better and increase your team I’ve realized there’s so much more they can do to improve the game. Easy, medium, hard, dynamic at this point are all insanely easy I’ll never lose a game, but on extreme it’s borderline impossible even with a 5 star all around team. If they made a difficulty that was actually hard but not as insane as extreme it would make the game more competitive and fun. I also wish we could have full rosters for offence and defensive that actually represents a full football team instead of only being able to have 12 max. If they ever made these changes the game would be so much better, even an option to watch your defence simulation play would be cool. I hope the creators see this and consider some of these changes to the game.

I NEED this update (plz). I’ll be brief at first, Retro is one of the best mobile games I have played, I’m on like my 27th season on my third save, but there are two HUGE updates that would make the game PERFECT. Those are 1. Make a online/competitive mode where two real players could go against each other (also plz don’t have this affect the game where you can only play online, just when matchmaking) but to make this happen another large update must happen, and that’s 2. Being able to play defense, now, most o.g fans are wondering how this would be done, and I think the player should be able to switch players as the game goes on, maybe a special button for cornerback and safety’s to run faster or a button to tackle, (this ofc would have to be VERY well done cause most of the boys miss a lot of tackle) and maybe even be able to play during kickoff, kick return. Me and my friends LOVE Retro Bowl and can’t wait for every and all new updates, please keep building on this amazing game, thanks for reading!

*Edited for current update*The only game I ever play in my phone anymore. I’m on season 38 or so and have enjoyed collecting the achievements. I honestly love how the strategy mechanics work as far as practice intensity and testing players. Honestly the micro transactions never once bothered me. And I have no idea how long I’ve actually played the game for, but I did spend money to support the devs. This game has a lot of potential for simulation or even a sequel. I would love to be able to select my own plays and an expanded playbook, and if/when that happens, I will probably just play this over Madden every couple years. This game is a gem to retro football fans or really any kind of football fans. There’s tons of other features that are explained in other posts I’m sure, but I literally don’t even touch any of the other games I have in my phone anymore. Edit: ever since I got the new iOS update, it seems like every 5th frame skips and slows the game down. I’m on an iPhone 8 Plus if that helps at all.

GREAT GAME WITH SO MUCH NOSTALGIA. I remember playing GameDay 2002 when it was on on the PS2 or 1. Can’t remember but I loved playing football, don’t get me wrong, new football games are great with their graphics but sometimes I’ve always wanted to go back just play the old stuff. With retro bowl, it fulfills and brings back so many memories. With choosing your favorite or starting off random, the challenges and perks of each player during a draft. This game makes me feel like I’m still kid. I LOVE IT’! One thing if the creators could add though is adding the Pro Bowl into the game. Imagine having won the retro bowl so many times but then going to play a bonus pro bowl with all the top players from the season. That would be awesome. And I know a lot of people wonder about Defense, there should also a way to play defense too. I’m addicted to playing this game, but I would also love if there was feature where we could play defense as well and also have the Pro Bowl added to see all the other players from different teams. Hopefully this happens because people will love it even more!!

Great game, it is too close to perfect. This game is awesome, I enjoy building my team and players, making sure they’re happy and winning, really makes it worth the grind! One thing that I would LOVE to see in future updates is the ability to see the other teams’ rosters and to be able to make trade deals between, not just get random offers when a spot is available on my team. I’d love to see the players that I build up get traded to other teams and see them develop maybe trade for them at a later time, not just disappear unless I put them in the hall of fame. Would love the ability to have a practice squad where you can have younger players with potential level up, or maybe just 2 more bench spots to store players with potential while other players play out their contracts. One thing that would also be great to have, is the hall of fame players, be able to build a “legacy” team to play in exhibition games, be able to play them in their primes would be awesome.

Updates. This game is very fun but the new update made extreme mode really easy and not as fun as it use to be. Would it be possible for the developers to add a even harder difficulty ? Also another thing that would be great to add is more plays like having three receivers in one side or having a full back etc. Also adding Diffrent classes of positions like mobile QB’s or pocket passers or fast RB’s vs strong RB’s. Would it also be possible to add upgrades past the bar? Another great thing would be double hits. Basically a lot of the time a player will be brought down by a defender and another defender will dive in and go over them. A double hit would be when the new player flies in the will change the direction of the tackle and possibly cause a fumble. Great game though could change. I love and play retro bowl a lot. But when I find myself playing retro bowl it seems the same. I have an idea. First add flags it would be fun to add flags because it adds a challenge in like go back 10 yards and after the game you could criticize the player or defend him which lowers his morale or boosts it. Second off I think you should be able to play on defense because it would be great to use your skill to play on defense and would make the game better because it’s harder to win game and also then you could be able to run the ball when it’s a interception or fumble recovery. Third of all I think that there should be a shop where you can use your your coaching credits to buy accessories for players like gloves, visors, cleats, etc. and it would boost your players morale. Fourth of all in the tab where you can upgrade your stadium training or rehab facilities when you upgrade any of them it should show what it upgraded like is it bigger, newer, painted differently, etc. but I still love retro bowl

Great game BUT. I’ve been playing this game for a year now and have to say it is a truly a fun game and great time killer. I’ve made a few observations and these issues I hope can be addressed. 1. The offensive coordinator position is truly offensive. The play calls made are always in-cuts and short slants and rarely a go route. 2. The audibles are too random. If you’re looking for a go route, you could and in most cases use up all your audibles to get the play you’re looking for in one down, especially if your in a passing game pinch. It’s even worse if you have a low rated qb with 2 or 3 to chose from. 3. I understand the need to make a little money on this game as it is ad free(huge perk there, thank you) but the training, rehab and stadium declining twice or more in a season saps the credits you need to field a decent team. It’s been happening all the more since the new update. 4. Why are there no achievements/ records for the offensive line? They rack up huge tackling stats. Thank you again for a great game, I hope you read this and take these items into account.

Tied for best offline franchise football game. I hate madden with a passion since it removed like every good thing about it. Yet this is a polar opposite to madden in every fashion. The only franchise mode and gameplay that comes close to this is this geometric footbalI game have on my pc and I’m to lazy to check. Though a couple grievances I have is I wish the entire team was customizable which is semi possible with unlimited mode but it’s something I wish was just in the normal free gameplay. Then something that would be great in the unlimited erosion would make a play and/or make a player. Plus making the dynamic AI harder for the Better teams would help, like I need to be like the Jags would be on easy, but then the Chiefs substitute would be on Extreme, just to add more difficulty to the mode and so if I don’t want an undefeated season I don’t have to force a loss on my part.A very minor Grecian error is on player positions, specially o line, if it could be more defined, interior versus exterior. Then add a new class called edge, and I know it’s going the of the dodo, but also maybe a fullback position. If you want a quilting football experience try this game out.

One of my favorite games. If your considering getting this, don’t hold back! It is great and you won’t be let down. There are very few in game purchases and you don’t need them to win. If you are a football fan/player (like me) you should totally get this game. It starts off with your team really bad, but then you can get really good. Some tips: Key offense players to have are a QB, a halfback, two wide receivers, and maybe a tight end. All defensive players are good too, and you might want a kicker. You won’t really use him if you like touchdowns and 2 point conversions, so I wouldn’t get one. Also keep your morale up so you keep you players! For the makers: You should add a coin toss, a logo in the center of the field, and refresh the free agents list less often. Also you should make a defens or something where you could control your defense. This is just stuff you should consider putting in an update. P.S Go colts and boo Broncos hehehehehheehh

Love it. UPDATE Got some of the features added and thank you but would I would like to have the draft be like the nfl draft and also have the option to trade draft picks for players or trade up in the draft and I don’t know if this is a glitch but the rush and alternate uniforms are the exact same. One more thing would like if on week 12 it be thanksgiving and week 16 be Christmas and if for the kickoff game it has the the kickoff logo and for the playoffs it has the logo for the wild card division and conference games . Great game favorite retro game but I would like if the dynamic setting was fixed because it’s way too easy and I wish that the draft was like the nfl draft were the worst team gets the first pick and that the best team gets the last pick(s) and as well as changing the playoff format to the new nfl playoff format were it has 7 playoff teams and that the 1st seed gets the bye and small thing but would like also if we could be able to get different uniforms and customize the uniforms and that it would be free for unlimited version users. Overall great game would like to see those changes.

Love, love, love it. I have only been playing for like 4-5 days and I can’t say anything more or less than…this game is just plain amazing. I love how the game is 8-bit and not 3D it just seems more enjoyable. Within 3 days of playing my roster and coaches became amazing, my team’s morale is also almost maxed out and I have already won 2 championships. I love the concept of earning coach credits to sign free agents, buy new coaches and upgrade your stadium, training facilities and rehab facility. Getting premium for 99 cents is totally worth it, it helped me get a new 5 star QB and upgrade my facilities, the weather package is also very cool because it adds in wind when it raining and it makes it feel more realistic. If I could change just one thing I would say to make morale and fan loss lower when something bad happens or you lose a game. Other than those two things this game is very enjoyable and I see myself playing for a long time. Great job guys I hope to see more great video games. (PS, maybe a Retro Basketball)

Great game please add more. Please add some type of play calling, also sometimes when I’m on the 50yardline and it’s 4th down it only lets me go for a field goal or 4th down but sometimes this can be bad, if my kicker can’t make a 60+ goal and the game is close I would rather punt, also please add some play calls prior to lineup maybe even for defense as if the opponent is on their 15 and there is 12 seconds left I would have only dee coverage to Prevent Hail Marys, also please add some type of hail Mary’s for us as the qb can only throw maybe 30 yards with max arm strength, plus maybe where I can run out of the pocket with qb but still throw as long as I don’t cross the line of scrimmage, speaking of which maybe add some penalties as it says bad moral causes them but I don’t see them ever. This game is great but I feel some addition can make it more in depth for long term playing to spread to our friends to help you make more money, as I paid for this in my tablet. Especially some defensive play, even to be able to watch it would be cool. I understand playing defense isn’t as easy but having a few playcalls would give defense more depth

Great game. Here’s some suggestions. I was thinking it would be kind of cool to have the league be more dynamic and maybe some coach and player relationships. I was just thinking of an instance where I really liked a WR I had in ATL but after 9 season I left for CIN and since realistically that player would not have retired if his contract expired and you could maybe contact old star players to ask them to play for you again and their decision is based on your relationship. Another idea would be player to player relationships where if my QB has thrown my WR 400 TD’s i think they’d enjoy playing with each other at that point. So along with the other suggestion, let’s say for instance; I have a really good WR and QB combo in ATL for 6 seasons then I leave for CIN and with my good relations with the WR he could influence either the relationship system between the QB and Coach (player) and you end up getting your star WR and QB combo while rebuilding a franchise. Think like Tom Brady bringing Gronk to Tampa Bay. Either way thanks for reading this far and I really enjoy the game!

Defense is frustrating. I love the game! My one major reservation is that the difficulty gets so high in year 4 or 5 that I have to start a new game. Once you get into year 4, the difficulty climbs to Dynamic 16. At that level your skill players, no matter what their speed is, get no separation from the DBs. You are always throwing into tight coverage. Interceptions are way up, incompletions are way up and yards after the catch are minimal. Couple that with the run game that is limited at any level, now you are getting just a couple yards per carry. On the other side of the ball, no matter how skilled your defense is, they get no stops. Your best hope is that you only give up a field goal and not a TD. I think that if you got rid of the easy, medium, hard, extreme an dynamic difficulty levels and instead had Dynamic automatic, which is what dynamic is currently, and then had a Dynamic manual mode where you could select a difficulty level from 1-16 (or whatever the highest level is) that would be great. I find that at Dynamic 12 or so, that makes for a good game.

A+. I've had retro bowl for awhile, and I've seen it go through many fun and amazing changes! This is by far one of the best sports games on the market. It's incredibly simple yet extremely addictive and entertaining! However amazing this game is, there's always room for improvement. Some things I would want to see changed are: 1) Option to simulate games. 2) Better variety of free agents. 3)Ability to play defense (in whatever way that may be, whether it be picking plays *blitz, *man to man, *etc. or singularly selecting a certain player *could only be star players), also with the choice of playing offense and/or defense. 4) Ability to see rest of draft class. And lastly 5)the option to change the length of a season (my suggestion would be an 8 game, a 12 game, a 16 game, and an 18 game) As for the last one I would also suggest giving the option to skip to certain points of the season. The Perfect Game For Me. I’ve played 42 seasons and love this game. I’ve read the bad reviews to see what people are complaining about and in all cases - they just aren’t good enough at making football decisions. If your QB goes down, figure out how to pass with the backup. The targeting line is simply not accurate. Adjust your throws. Having a great Coordinator will help all your backups. If the defender can grab the receiver, figure out where to throw the ball so that doesn’t happen. If your Running Back can’t run well, throw the ball. Get a back who can catch and use him as a receiver when the wideouts are covered. Sometimes your defense lets the other team score easy? Go for 2 each time you score. The other team is far less likely to score if they go for 2. That couple of extra points can win the game. To those who gave up... you just weren’t up to the challenge. Updates change things, adding a new challenge. It’s a great game. I love the progressive addition of female Coordinators. I’d love to see an all-female player version. Girls love football, too.

FAVORITE GAME I HAVE. This game is so fun it is easily my favorite game, easily five star but there are some things I’d like to ask you to change I’d like if you just get the weather changes and stuff for free I get it it gives you more money but my parents don't let me spend money on games so I would like it if you just made it so you had that for free. Also I would like it if you made a thing showing how much cap space you would have if you cut a guy, like when I want to pick up someone but have to cut a guy to do it for money I don’t know if I’ll actually have enough money once I cut him to get the new guy. Finally I’d like there to be some way to be on defense, like maybe a your best linebacker or lineman who has to get past the o-line or something anything to play defense because that would be fun but also make it like optional because the games go a whole lot faster just without defense just clicking through so if we don’t have a whole lot of time we can skip defense. Real retro football with the mobile touch. Unlike most football games on mobile this one is actually fun. I think the option to play defense as one of your players would be nice or at least to watch your team play defense. It’s also nice to skip the defense at times so having the option and not forcing it would be good. If the game also had a place where you could check your teams all time leaders in the different stat categories that would be great. I’ve played 15 seasons and I would love to have my team’s player accomplishments past & present posted for me to see. It’s a reason to keep playing and breaking career/season records of your players from the past along with having a sense of investment in keeping your older and normally more expensive players on your team. Overall the game does a great job of bringing fun sim style football and team management in an easily approachable package. This game is not a pay to win game. This is a developer that deserves our support for providing us starving football fans a mobile game that is actually a game.

One of the best games I have. Ok, to start I think this is probably one of the best games on the App Store, (for kids-early teens) but I also feel like it’s kinda like among us, where is super fun the first 50 games, then it starts to get boring after that, it’s basically more of the same thing. I personally still enjoy it as a pass time for when I’m on the bus or something like that. I also think one of the best things you could do is make it so you can play defense, like I wouldn’t care if that’s a premium thing (I don’t have premium, but I would 100% pay for it if it had defense) and there could be pre made defense plays. And maybe even a another upgrade would be that you can make your own plays, (offense and defense) but as a restriction let’s just say you can only use it once per game. I don’t know how helpful this actually is, I’m only a 14 year old boy, but if you did get this far thx for reading, hope you take this into consideration. Overall 5 star game!

This, this is perfection.. Guys, I need y’all to read this. Listen, months ago, I wrote a review about this game, undermining it and giving it 3 stars. You know why? Because I was crap. I played like crap, I had crap strategy. But now, I’m playing on extreme and having actual games where it gets intense. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this, and everything right about it. There is no flaw, no glitch. This game is the perfect game to waste free time. I was a hater once, but now, now I appreciate greatness. The game is fun, I can play it for hours. I’ve won 22 retro bowls and already on season 31. It may be repetitive, but it’s so replay-able. I’ve given myself challenges to do to help with boredom if there is any. - Defense only team, win the retro bowl. - Offense only team, win retro bowl (try to go undefeated). - Only 1/2-1 star players only and win retro bowl. And lastly - Get every achievement. On extreme, most of these are teeth grinding hard, yell and cuss out loud, throw your phone across the room type hard. Have a good time, great game guys!

Great Game With Some Suggestions. I have played Retro Bowl since the summer of 2020 and I still play it often. I have shared this with my friends and family and I am still having a great time playing it. This is a great game that will last for many years. If you are looking for something to do on a plane, a car ride, or just bored, this game is perfect. First of all, I think it would be a great idea to add a basketball game based on Retro Bowl. I saw this with Retro Goal and was really impressed with the design. I don’t know if the game should be 2v2 or 3v3 NBA Jam style or even better, 5v5 with immersive management. I think a baseball game would be great too but nothing on the App Store has a great basketball game with clean gameplay. Back on Retro Bowl, I think you should add online gameplay where you can use Hall Of Fame players to play against friends. I don’t really care how it works or if you play against people competitively, but online would work well and I always wanted to play against my friends. Thank you and please keep the updates coming.

So Much Fun. All my friends started playing this game and normally I don’t hop on trends *cough cough* Squid Games *cough cough*. But I felt I had to make an exception since this is a sport game. And it did not disappoint. Love the retro aspect of the game since I feel most teens my age didnt play retro games as children so they don’t get it. But I do. The music is a vibe and it’s definitely this game is def a go-to to pass the time. One note I want to make for the Devs is I think the game would be so much more fun if there were an online mode where you could play against friends. Or even making it an iMessage game would be pretty neat. The last point I want to make is that I think the “menus” should be more beginner friendly. I’ve had this game for about a week and still don’t know where anything is since it all kind of looks the same. Maybe change up the colors or something idk. But it’s pretty hard to navigate is the point I’m trying to get across.

Incredible Simple and Addicting Gameplay. Let me start off by emphasizing this game is amazing. The gameplay is easy to control, yet makes you feel satisfied when you’re able to break off big plays with your team. The GM aspect of the game is probably the weakest part. You’ll get draft picks every years, but they’re useless when you’ve built a team you want to stick with. This is due to the game only allowing 10 players on your team, which I would like to see maybe 20 at minimum. The trading lacks usefulness as well because you can only trade for draft picks (which again are useless). You are able to play game without spending money, but if you want high level players early on you’re going to need to drop some cash. I personally have zero problem with it as I want to support this particular Devs games because the template could be used for others sports as well. Overall great game that I’ve played everyday for the last 4 days and I’m still interested.

Can’t get off it. One of the best games I’ve downloaded. Not a single thing wrong with this game, but there is a lot that could be added. 1. Playable defense. I think playable defense is a thing most retro bowl players would like. It gives more control of the game to the player making the game more like able. 2. Online 1V1/Leagues. I love the style retro bowl is in right now and I want to keep it. However, an online and offline version would just be way better. For example, you can make a ranked thing where people get trophies etc. and if I could 1V1 one of my friends that would be awesome. And Leagues, just like madden, you could have a load of your friends join and see who comes on top. 3. More control of the play calling. The only thing I have wrong with this game is the routes and the limited amount of plays to be called. I honestly hate the comeback route. That’s about it. I think the game would be way much better with all of that but other than that the game is a great game to play just in general.

Awesome simulator. Quick gripe: Honestly the actual game play is so simplistic I would love for more simulation elements to be added into the game. Maybe more in season options to shack up the roster like proposed trades. A more entrance level credit option for some low end free agents. Of course my larger idea is having players have a bust or gem potential with younger players. Everything is very predetermined. I can see the players potential in the draft and as long as I as the user am decent enough at the inputs there’s no downside to even one star players, since I can use my own personal skill to “takeover the game” through the air. Maybe if 1 Star QBs felt worse or couldn’t make the plays I see in my head, but that feels like the wrong answer the right answer sounds like having maybe a few more randomly generated elements to spice up the flow of the game. Other than that difficulty complaint. This game is nostalgic as all hell to look at, and a joy to play. The way you manage resources and grow attachments to your team is exactly what I look for in a game like this. You guys really nailed this development!

Perfect for us ‘80s kids 👍🏼. Love the Tecmo Bowl feel but with a bit more skill needed in passing as well as the team management aspects. Not sure how you may one day integrate player control ability for defense, I’m sure there’s some algorithm in place to determine outcomes based on skill levels and whatnot, would be neat to try, with the option to turn it off and on maybe 🤷🏼‍♂️ One and ONLY gripe is with kicking. I hit that arrow in between the slotted area ALL the time and never seen so many “Doinks” 😡 it’s quite aggravating. Not sure if it’s due to ability, but a lower skill level should simply make the arrow move faster, if you nail within the Gray area that should be a sure shot MADE FG. As it is now, you have to always hit it on the very low area to make it, frustrating as h*ll, but I’ve gotten over it lol, just a thought. Killer game guys, I’m sure you could go bananas adding this and that, but keeping it fairly simplistic is what makes it nostalgic and fun 😊 5 stars here (and I rarely give that out, but younger cats may not get into the Nintendo feel, so what lol)

Super Solid Game. I’ve been playing for a couple years now and it’s been a game on my iPhone that I just keep coming back to. If you want to make an elite team on your first year as a coach is build up a ton of Coaching Credits which is given per game OR pay for them in store which is super cheap! $4.99 for 250 CC! It’s definitely not a pay to win game, it just depends on your taste or how fast you wanna build the team. So it’s my favorite game to pass the time in all situations. I do have a request for the developers if it can be made possible this would make this app almost perfect! Would love an option on the pause screen in the middle of a game to see my players current game stats. So I can keep up on setting my personal records in game and for the season. I have to wait till the game ends to see what stats they hit. I’ve even settle for being able to see the stats at halftime, that would be great. Either way thank you for making an amazing app!!!

Good but not perfect. This game is amazing the gameplays great, I love the scenarios and all the different customizations for the teams. The game really lets you do whatever you want like use home/away/rush jerseys or using different balls. The only thing that makes this game 4 stars instead of 5 is that after a while the game gets kinda boring. It’s very repetitive and especially after playing for a while you find yourself having the same things happening over and over. I think that if they had new updates every month like qb mode or more ways to boost morale then it would keep the game more fresh. I absolutely recommend this game to new players as it provides an amazing football experience retro bowl is definitely the best American football game on the App Store since madden mobile has taken a hit the last few years. I love this game and I have played it for years but I just want new things and more updates with fresh content. If they add new things in the future this game will for sure be 5 stars.

Free, fun, then frustrating. Like many “free” games this game draws you in. It’s fun at first, at least the first two (2) seasons of the game but then the third season. Unless you play it on lower skill rating the teams you play only get more harder and without upgrading (which may or may not be better, see I don’t pay money for online free to play) your team it becomes very very frustrating as your defense stops nothing and the opposing defense become Jedis from time to time. There also options that you can only access with, you got it money. A lot of people will counter that it isn’t that much- money, and if you intend to stop playing eventually, it really isn’t much money. But it’s money and it seems sneaky and a bit immoral to business this way. Usually I might give a free on-line game only a single star, but if you don’t mind winning the “Retro” bowl once or twice and then suffer the inexplicably great defenses that seem to pop up or pay to upgrade your team (which still may not solve your issues), or play at lower level, then knock your brains out. 2 Stars, because the game doesn’t really change (AI doesn’t use its Jedi force skills) the first season or 2. After that….

Updates. The game is really fun to play and the most played game on my phone currently but there could be some more things that could make it better. First you should add a career mode that would make me play more. One other thing you should add is customization to stadiums would be cool. You should also add when you trade a player to one team than at the end of that season you leave that team and that player is still there because the player disappears after you trade them or if you leave one team for a season then come back have about the same players there because all the players are replaced with worse and less. Also you should add is that you are able to look at other teams roster so you can see what the star player is on offense and defense. Although all the things I suggested the game is probably one of my favorite games. I hope you listen to my suggestions to make the game better.

Great value for light football fun. For what it’s trying to be, this is a great little app with some surprising depth. Playing the actual football games is fun, but very basic; you only control your offense, your D is automated based on your DC and players’ stats. The running, passing, and kicking all feel surprisingly accurate in terms of the touch controls and results. But that’s only half of what this app has to offer. In between games on the field, you draft, trade, and develop players and coordinators, which is where the surprising depth comes in. You may even be offered a coaching job with another team! It’s straight based on the NFL, with all 32 teams represented and each season played all the way through. It isn’t Madden, it’s never going to be Madden, it isn’t trying to be Madden. But there are no ads and the offered IAPs are unobtrusive, reasonably priced, and not at all necessary for advancement. As long as you don’t expect some hardcore simulation and accept this game for what it is, you can have a lot of fun with it.

Best Football Sim. This game is one of the best in the whole store in terms of replayability and fun. It’s a great football sim and gives you plenty of reasons to keep coming back. The full version is also worth it for the money as you get so many new features unlocked which make the game even more replayable. Highly recommend this game and I’ll still be playing it for months to come. UPDATE: So I have continued to play for the past couple months and each new update adds more to the game and makes it even more fun to replay. The one thing I want now is the ability to set the difficulty of each team in the team editor. Maybe add a new “Custom” difficulty for premium members only who can change the star level for each individual team. I created 32 custom teams each with their own theme and I’d love for them to stand out with their own levels of difficulty. I’m sure this wouldn’t be hard to add but it would make a big difference for those people who really want to take full advantage of making custom teams. Great game again!

Really good game but can be improved. Hi hopefully you see this, this is the best football mobile game I have played but I am finding some flaws the more I play. I am into my 5th season and I am finding the run game to be useless. I have a very good OL and a good HB but I can never seem to have success. I also see players stamina to run out very fast and makes big plays almost impossible. I would like to see a way to play defense like just as one of our star players. Also more customization and stat tracking would be great to see. I would love to see a custom team mode and longer games where we could make the uniform and team name mabey even hole field. For stat tracking I would like to be able to see other teams players stats and mabey even a mvp given out each year. I feel this would add more depth to the game and I would even pay extra for there’s changes. I have been waiting for a Mobile game like this for a while so I hope you take theses changes into consideration. Thank you for reading

One of the best games I’ve played. First and foremost, as the title suggests, this game is amazing. I have a save file that I’ve gone 17 years with and still haven’t gotten bored of the game it’s that good. Overall everything is relatively simple which makes the game easy to play but it has enough features such as training players and hiring high rated staff members and players, and being able to upgrade facilities, to make the fun last and give it a bit of a challenge as well. So if you’re looking for a quality sports game, or just any game in general, this will have you entertained for hours on end. Developers, if you are reading this, my only suggestion/request would be to implement being able to see other teams rosters as well as your own and allowing the player to be able to attempt trades with draft picks or players because right now only the computer can offer trades and I feel that having the ability to offer trades ourselves would amplify the game that much more

This is possibly one of the best football games ever made.. Retro Bowl is quite possibly one of the best football games ever, up there with NFL 2K 5. This game is so simple yet so fun. I have played for well over 100 hours and I have not encountered a single bug. This game is extremely well built. The different difficulties are actually more and more difficult, and the gameplay is incredibly smooth and easy to understand. My only problem might be that the Dynamic difficulty is way too easy, even on its highest level. Even though an new player might not, once you get the hang of it with a good QB and one good WR, you are pretty much guaranteed to go 17-0. Other than that, the draft is simple, salary cap is simple, the team building is very manageable, and the game doesn’t require WiFi. It has no ads except for other games made by New Star and those can be easily ignored. This game is fantastic and even without the premium version it is a 10/10 game.

A suggestion. As you can see I rated it as a 5 star because the game is great and I love to play and I will never get rid of it but I think instead of auto balls you should just be able to choose your play between run and pass and when you choose run you get much more blocking I rarely run the ball because of how it is now. Also you should make so you can watch the defense and choose cover run or cover pass doesn’t matter if you play or not. One more thing is you should be able to return your punts and kick returns and just make it so you can choose which WRs or RBs returns the ball. But the game is so good and I hope retrobowl creators read this you guys should get more advertising because this game is amazing, unique and simple. The only football game that is your competition is Madden Mobile but Madden just gets really complicated, easy and always having to play. Decent gameplay, many flaws. Gameplay is somewhat fun, but a number of other things ruin the overall experience. Running is pointless, 90% of the time you’ll get 2 yards even with a 4-5 star RB, so essentially the game is only passing. There is also no playing defense, so if you’re playing on any difficulty higher than easy the other team will score a TD almost every possession regardless of how many defensive stars you sign. Fan rating makes no sense, you gain 1%-5% for a win and lose 20%-40% for a loss. I finished my first season 11-6 on top of the division but with a 5% fan rating… supposedly your team goes 1-16 the season before yet you lose all your fans? Coaching credits are unbalanced. You win 2 per game, but between losing them in decisions (happen between every game) and having to upgrade your deteriorating facilities, there is barely enough to sign 1 average player here and there. Season fatigue system doesn’t make sense realistically. I don’t think Brady and Mahomes need to sit a week or two a season so that their passes aren’t completely inaccurate. I ended up finishing the one season and deleting the game. Too many annoyances to make it fun overall.

Warning: This Game Is Perfect. My roommate got this game a few months ago, and every day I would hear the little retro music from the living room. He never really made a big deal of it but I would ask about his team and he would give me player updates. The depth of this game is so immense. It’s simple if you want it to be and it can be infinitely nuanced if you are looking for a more advanced level of play. He finally told me that he joined a league and I just had to get this game for myself to see what the hype was all about. I was not disappointed. I’m on my second save, 1 season with the New York Jets and have my sights set on the retro bowl this year! Let’s gooo! Needless to say I’ve sent a link to every single family member of mine, football fan or not, this is a must have. Great art style, fun music, intuitive controls... you name it, Retro Bowl’s got it. My favorite thing is the strange sense of pride you get from the random first team you are assigned to. I was never a Jets fan. I grew up in Dallas, TX. But hey now I’ve got some pride in my franchise. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. IT’S FREE!!!

Nostalgic addictive fun!!. This game has that throwback charm and the mobile mechanics make it easy to pickup and enjoy. Don’t expect a Tecmo Bowl clone, the controls are simpler since it’s designed for mobile. However, you get a deeper experience overall since there are choices on how to run your team and organization. Imagine the Sims crossed with Tecmo Bowl and a dash of Angry Birds controls? A tad overwhelming at first, but once you dig into investing in your facilities, the players’ morale, looking at trades, free agents, the draft after each season, etc… it becomes an addicting experience! The gameplay is seriously fun and simple. It’s what keeps you coming back after each game. One gripe is that you can’t call plays or change the direction of runs/routes, but I do understand that choice in order to make this game more accessible. Not a deal breaker at all, just craving a bit more control now that I’m totally into this game 😆 Football fans, give it a shot, and I think you’ll be hooked. Really fun and hard to put down.

Easily the best football game on the market. I simply adore this game. It’s the mobile game I’ve played more than any other and the only time an in app purchase has been an afterthought. I’ve never found a football game I’ve liked as much, and I was able to find new joy in the team editor and adding in my own teams from a sport I used to play. The controls are exceptional and every time I throw and interception or fumble I can only blame myself. The difficulty is great, I did a “can I get a winning season” on extreme without any star players and went 9-7 on my 3rd attempt. The best thing has to be the attention to detail I realize every day. One time I wanted to see how the calculations worked for each team’s strength and did a simulation (playing through season) for multiple seasons and did a graph of each team’s record and postseason. I saw a story. The saints went from 8-8 to 13-3 and won 5 Super Bowls before falling back to 8-8, it wasn’t just random. This game is outstanding, and after seeing how much I’ve been playing I needed to give a review.

5 star game with minor issues. First of all the game is a fun little time waster. If you miss the simplistic times team building in madden, this is a nice little throw back. The only issues I have with the game is that your players get injured. A lot. And I don’t mean like your QB goes down for the season and you’re screwed, I mean your players get injured every. single. game. And these players will be hurt for 1 or 2 or 3 games, come back and get hurt again two games later. Even with your training facility completely maxed out, the players get hurt. And it stinks when they do because the decline of your offense is incredibly noticeable when one of the star players you signed or drafted isn’t there. The bot players with no names run like they’re wearing lead shoes which takes away from explosive plays. If your RB gets hurt, the replacement back is unusable. Another minor issue I have is you can have a maximum of 10 players with names, and these players are the only offense and defense you have because like I said before, the nameless players are useless. Aside from that this game is a ton of fun, and I highly recommend it.

Absolute Blast to play but…. This game is super fun, in terms of team management it’s team management is on point I love the potential system, and all the other things involved in team management. And while the on the field stuff is fun, it is a bit easy. Because its easy to find a receiver who would run a 4.19 in the combine, its incredibly easy to just bomb it to them. And while there is nothing wrong with that per say, it just is a bit to easy. The defense is where I have most of my issues with this game. They really don't play up to their ratings and allow TDs incredibly easy, no matter how good the players are. In my first season I had a terrible LB and thats it, that defense performed so much better than the one that has a 2 star DL and 2 star DB added on top of that. I know these players are not that good yet but they should be better than the 0 star players on the field before this. Other than that this game is a blast.

The jump for ball mechanic-We choose when and when not with a swipe up.. I have played for a while. It is my most played game on my phone. I have it running more than any other app. I never leave reviews but I guess after more than a year of playing this I guess I should leave a 5-stars. My one thing to say is receivers jumping for the ball. Sometimes they jump when they shouldn’t. When it’s an open route they beat their man if they follow where the ball is thrown it’s a nice TD. Instead the receiver stops and jumps and either catches it and gets tripped up, or he tips it for incompletion or an int. I see the point of the jump ball from the end zone to one on ones and it’s amazing when it goes your way. It being a risk/reward, we the player should choose if they jump or not perhaps with a swipe up on the receiver after the ball is thrown. Another thing is throwing over the middle to an open slant that is a 1st down and the RB jumps up like he is Micheal jordan and snags it and gets 2-4 yards and can mess you up bad if it’s 3rd or even 4th down.

genuinely a very good football game. after playing the mind numbing and extraordinarily lacking madden mobile this is such a breath of fresh air. actual coaching/management decisions to be made (plus the little things too, like being able to change uniforms and ball type before every game) genuine options to upgrade your team and staff. and of course, utterly amazing gameplay, the choice to let you actually chose where your throws are placed is brilliant and allows for a much more in depth and enjoyable experience. when i first saw the retro graphics i thought “oh there will be so little in terms of gameplay” but no i was wrong, there’s just as much in terms of gameplay mechanics as there is in madden mobile but EVERY mechanic is executed so much better. a great game i’d recommend to any football fan looking for something to spend some free time on. thank you retro bowl for bringing a breath of fresh air to the mobile football gaming world.

Top 3 game to ever exist. Back in my younger years I spent way too much money on the App Store. With age came common sense and in the past 7 years I have purchased maybe 2 games. Unlike many free games, I downloaded Retro Bowl and found an enjoyable experience that lasted more than an hour and was pleasantly surprised to find no ads. After several hours playing I decided to purchase the upgraded version for 99 cents and after almost a year of playing I do not regret that decision. At this point, I have created a legendary Pittsburgh Steelers empire and played well over 1000 games. If you enjoy football, this game is well made in all aspects and is worth every penny. I will continue to spend many more hours playing this game because it does keep you entertained with aspects such as seasonal progression and hall of fame players with their stats. Retro Bowl: Keep making updates for this game because I will keep playing it.

Like updates, suggest improvements. I have downloaded this a few times and get hooked especially now with the kick return option. There are some bugs I have found though that are important- I have returned a kick off to the end zone for a TD twice and those yards aren’t counted for the player. I am sure you guys have a bunch of suggestions for ways to make the game better but here are mine that would take it to the next level- being able to design your own plays would be amazing. Being able to play defense would be great as well. I wish it would be harder to develop a five star team. It seems too easy to get high rated players in the draft and within two seasons I can make a five star team no problem. One reason is that during the draft I can use all ten of my scouting options, turn off the app and when I start it again I have ten more and can repeat this until I know all the stats of the draft players.

Fun until the game decides to artificially increase difficulty. Game's not bad on the default "Dynamic" difficulty when you start but after maybe one or two seasons, all the fun flies right out the window. Players will refuse to catch the ball, won't run their routes, every contested throw becomes an interception, the plays the game gives you are almost nonsensical (I found there's almost no difference between a half-star OC and a four-star one), opposing teams score every drive or every other drive even with a four-star defense; I'm not sure you can even it call it RNG because it's not random most of the time, it's intentional; the game literally sabotages you. Defense being "RNG" is supposed to encourage you to spend real money on credits to get better players; funny enough, the main developer outright stated they'll never add playable defense. There's probably no chance that play calling or maybe designing a playbook will be added either. Honestly, after one championship, you've seen it all. After a while, you're just playing against artificial difficulty that's supposed to make the game more realistic (fair enough), but it just ends up being frustrating.

Great game!. I downloaded this game a couple of days ago and I’ve already played about 5 seasons it’s very addicting and feels better then maddens franchise mode. It would be cool maybe if they showed a simulation of the defense instead of just saying “so and so missed a tackle” actually show the play. It would also be awesome if your players could lateral the ball behind them to avoid getting tackled but of course make it a high risk of a fumble. I also think it would be awesome if there was an actual roster system that showed each teams roster with their stats to where you are actually able to trade players with other teams. I know it’s supposed to be like an arcade game but an online system would be awesome. Allowing people to join your franchise and while playing the game it’s almost like a tug a war to see who can score the most while watching your defense try and stop them. Just a few suggestions to add to the game. The game is already a 5 star in my opinion but if they added these I honestly think this game would be a huge hit!

It’s a level of customization that Madden used to have. I downloaded this game and didn’t know what to expect. I actually figured that I would delete the app entirely later. However, once I saw how much customization you can have, I’ve been playing it so much. You have all of your nfl teams. Okay, it’s not really NFL licensed. But the silver and blue team called “Dallas C” is close enough for me. But what has sold the game for me is that you can change any and all teams to be what you want. I made every team different, put them all in cities like Roswell and Tulsa, and added silly team names like the Roswell aliens or the Auburn Ninjas. You can also change their uniform colors on top of that. The only two things that would put this over the top would be if you could view other teams players and stats, and actually request a trade yourself. Usually if you want to trade a player, you just get a pick in the upcoming draft. If you could view other players stats (and maybe have an option to view the league leaders in passing for example) and decide who you want to go after, this would be the perfect simulation.

Wish I could rate 6 stars. This is the only review I’ve left on anything, the game is great but the best part about this app is the devs. They could have left the game alone after release and update it every 5 years with minor bug fixes, but they go above and beyond and update this game often. I always get excited to see what’s new and how it effects me playing. I’ve played the game since it first came out and it’s come a long way. I’d say it’s better then Maddens over the last 10 years but that’s not saying much lol. The game itself can be a blast with the amount of customization and it’s mechanics, makes for a great casual play. 11/10 would recommend, idk how much it cost anymore but I think I paid $1.. One thing I’d like to see in the future is maybe not defensive play but defensive play calling. Say I think the opponent will pass the ball, I call play for everyone to drop back in cover and it gives you a defensive boost for correctly guessing what they will do.
