Retro Bowl College Comments & Reviews 2026

Can’t pick College of youre choice - but why not?. I like this game. I also like the regular, Retro Bowl, which I played for years now. The main problem with the college Retro Bowl is that you’re unable to pick the college of your choice. When you first start playing the game, you can only choose from a limited number of low to your colleges. The question is, why? Why Is it structured this way? If the goal of the developers is to have the players work their way up, I get it. However, at some point, it’s simply ridiculous to prevent people from playing the college that they really like. If the goal is to prevent everyone from picking, for example, Alabama, and winning every game every year, well, then make it harder …. The real fun and joy of playing a college football game is the colleges themselves. If you can’t play the college that you like, then this game is maddeningly frustrating. To put it bluntly, as structured, it serves no purpose. To be clear now I have won multiple majors championships with multiple teams, including Nevada and Las Vegas – I won with Las Vegas two years in a row - Which should set me up as a pretty good player. However, most of the major college teams are still blacked out and I cannot pick them to play. Why? It serves NO purpose.

Obviously amazing game but here are some suggestions. I really have a lot of fun with this game and the pros version of this game. But my suggestions is to find a way in both games to make extending the OC and DC contracts mean something. In both games I have never resigned a coordinator because I feel no difference in the plays my offense is calling when I have a 3 star OC vs a .5 star OC. I’m sure there’s a lot of people suggesting this but yea it would be great to find a way to play defense. Although I see how it would be hard to do that with the mechanics of this game. Maybe add a way to change the uniform colors lol. My local college has like pink uniforms in this game instead of thief maroon color. Plus our in state rival is not wearing anything close to what they wear in real life. It’s kinda hard to get used to. It be nice if we could alter the colors of the unis or if you did a update on the accuracy of uniforms.

This game is my favourite game on the app store. If the developers ever see this, please do not update the game to have the current conference re-alignment. Or if you do, please make conference customisation a feature. I hate the way conferences have been re-aligned in real life and I want to keep more regional conferences (which I prefer) in my favourite game. Onto my review: this game is freaking perfect. I could play it for hours (and I have). It’s well balanced in all aspects, easy to learn, hard to master, and endless fun. You can tell that the people who made this game care; and I really appreciate that. Somethings I would like to see added/changed: It should be harder for group of 5 schools to be highly ranked/make the playoffs. It’s just a little to easy right now, making it slightly unrealistic. I would like to see conference customisation added as I previously explained. I think it would be cool to add a “stats hub” or something of the sort for more advanced stats (e.g. 4th down conversion rate, 2pt conversion rate, et cetera). I would definitely like to see the new 12-team playoff added. I also think it would be cool if there was a list of national champions (and maybe champions for each bowl game) as there is for Super Bowl champions in the original retro bowl. Easy 5 stars though, those are just some knit-picky things. God bless this game and its developers.

Good could be great. After playing this one for a couple months now (8th season) I do like the challenge of this one over retro bowl. My biggest complaint is the gpa system and the fact that you have to use coaching credits to help those players. I think a better system would be a points system specifically for that. Which would free up coaching credits for other things. Like I said before I’ve played 8 seasons so far and haven’t been able to expand the scholarship fund yet. Which makes it feel almost pay to win driven (which I would understand because the game doesn’t have adds which is great). All in all they both are fun games but I do like this one better. A cool idea if you are interested: a game where you create a player and you follow that player all the way through from high school all the way up through to the nfl. It could even be a mode for different games. Like retro high school, college, and nfl. Personally I think this would be awesome.

What happened?. I started playing Retro Bowl two years ago, and the fact it’s still on my phone two years later is a testament to how awesome that game is! This game, however, is the biggest disappointment I have played, and I have played very crappy Gatcha games. The first thing I dislike is how you can’t even select teams. Even being in year two of a head coach position, winning two championships, and having two Heisman winners would make you EXTREMELY qualified to coach any team. What is with the whole “no offers available?” If I can’t change school, let me start with my favorite one. The second is the team colors. I get that you have to be careful of the licensing, but in Retro Bowl, you had the colors of the NFL teams represented. Why did Ya’ll suddenly change the colors and make them look so gross? The third is the GPA and the scholarship systems; why are my players getting benched every other week because their GPA drops three points after every game? Who thought that this was a sound system? An injury system, or even a dilemma, would be a significantly better improvement than just implementing this goofy feature. Also, why is there no transfer portal where we can spend our coaching credits to get 4/5 star players? It was in the first game. Why remove it now? If this game were perfect, I would have given you another dollar. But I can’t even keep this Horrendously mediocre cash grab of a crummy sequel on my phone, taking up space. Maybe, if you guys fix this game, it might be worth playing again and possibly investing that dollar. Until then, I am thinking about getting rid of RetroBowl on my phone because of this. Devs, you’ve poisoned the well thoroughly. I fully believe you can fix this!

Possible improvements to RBC. Phenomenal game. I have no gripes about the game, however there are things to fix about it 1. A rivalry system. Rivalries are one of the biggest things in college football, and allowing each school to play their biggest rival at the end of the season should be a must-have for a college football game 2. Transfer Portal. Another more recent thing about college football is the transfer portal. It should also come to where the Scholarship fund is kept by the school for the Transfer Portal 3. Conference realignment. One of my biggest issues is the fact that conferences are rigid instead of modifiable. Along with Conference realignment, we should also have the ability to add or remove conferences 4. Modifiable formations. Similar to Retro Goal, where you can modify how your players are set up, I think it would be nice if we could incorporate different types of Formations as our basic formations, for example Singleback formation on offense and 3-4 formation on defense

Good but adjustments. Really fun game 5 stars but there should be less group of 5 playoff teams and accurate cfp seeding and ranking + also a transfer portal where dismayed players will leave ur team but you can also acquire players from the transfer portal. One last thing is there should be a qb or player career mode where you play your last high school game and depending on how you play, you get different offers, example, if you play a bad game than you only get offers from half star offense schools to one and a half star schools. If you play ok then you get offers from half star schools to 3 star schools and if you do great than you get offers from half star schools to 5 star schools maybe you could also add a star ranking system for the player as well so u could use that. Then you sign with a school and play and have different dilemas and injuries and you could choose to enter the transfer portal and stuff. I think that addition would be really really fun. All these ideas would make the game more fun and realistic but its already great and you definitly should download it.

Needs to be fixed and added!. This game is honestly better then the Nfl version in many ways, but on here you cant play more then 2 full seasons and it gives you a error page and makes u leave the game thats my biggest issue with it, there is some stuff that could be added, like make it so its more then 50k to start with especially without premium, make it so u can see how old they really are bc i mean u could be a freshman in college at the age of 24 u never know honestly, Could you guys pls link the 2 games together so we dont have to buy premium again bc they are almost the same game, make it so we can like see out old college players even if hes been drafted to the Nfl, like let us see his Nfl stats year by year, let us scot high school players and u should honestly make extreme a bit harder because now its boring and easy, thank u guys so much for these fun games.

BEST GAME EVER But,. Retro Bowl College may be the best app I’ve ever downloaded. For College football fans, it doesn’t get better than this on mobile. It’s just like retro bowl but there are a few differences. First, seasons are 14 weeks, you get two bye weeks, and the playoff section of the season is a total 5 weeks long. The biggest difference is when people go to the NFL, they donate money back to your team, but they will not keep all the money. With the money you have left, you recruit players to your team. There is no salary cap. Another huge difference is you have to maintain your player’s gpas. If they drop below 1 or so, they can’t play unless it eventually goes up or you use coaching credits to make it go up. Overall, the game is insanely fun and very addicting. Every single college team including FCS schools are in the game. Some of the jerseys are off and some team names had to be changed for copyright purposes, but other wise, this is easily the best college football game I’ve ever downloaded on mobile. Maybe the best game ever.

Great game, Here’s a few ideas!!. Honestly it has been so fun playing this game and i have a coach who has switched teams every season and has been every team in the game, the freshman admissions is pretty cool and all especially with the scholarship fund with the donations and stuff, but i would really really recommend adding something like the “transfer portal” to allow players to be given scholarships mid season, i also think it would be cool to have stats for non roster players, and the option for them to have scholarships given to them. Another idea would be making the amount of players on your roster a little higher especially because you should be able to recruit a lot of freshman and it would work better especially for a college based game. Also, and i don’t know if this would be possible, but at least getting some jerseys into the game, for example BYU aka “Provo” is like bright purple and it’s a real pain having to go through and change them all. But overall a great game and i hope you see this and appreciate the ideas!!!

Almost Perfect. I loved playing retro bowl and I personally bought the dlc so I could customize all the pro teams into colleges and made my college back in the day. When I saw that this game came out, I was very excited, and I was even more excited when I realized my school was in there: Virginia Military Institute. I was amazed by the amount of detail that went into this, it refers to the athletes as cadets while you play as VMI and it even rather than saying juniors or seniors it says 2nd class and 1st class cadets. That’s going above and beyond and I didn’t expect to see that level of detail. HOWEVER, you get the tiny details right but miss out on some very large things. For instant; the school is listed as Virginia Military Academy instead of Institute, and the shorter version provided is VAM instead of VMI. Also our arch enemy in football, The Citadel, isn’t in there (which is funny but I’m sad we can’t play them) I’ll just say that if the name gets fixed I’d come back and give 5 stars instead of 4, it’s a really fun game.

A (near) perfect college football game. Id like to start off this review by saying this is one of the best mobile games ive ever played and the people at new star are incredibly talented and clearly care about the product they put out. That being said I do have a few critiques. First off, I feel like there should be some way to schedule games. This is something coaches/administrators have to do in the real ncaa and it would also add a really fun element of control. I love playing as and building up a bad team like Umass for example, but it’s frustrating to play as them because I dont play anyone competitive until the playoffs. Along that line, I think the game would greatly benefit with confrrence realignment so teams in bad confrences can move out of them with stellar play (i.e cincinnati and Houston in real life). On to some more nitpicky things. One i think the hashmarks should be wider than they are in normal RB to match the actual difference in pros vs college. Also some sort of transfer portal system would be nice but i realize thats a bit ambitious. Also I may be in the minority here, but I was really suprised when my star players didnt declare for the draft after their junior year, I kind of wish they did for that added layer of realism. Anyways, amazing game and I hope some of my changes get implemented. Thanks New Star! Edit: The fumbling really needs to be turned down or even include an option to remove it entirely. Extreme is nearly unplayable, because ive had my rb fumble 3 times in the same game. I know its added for realism sake but it feels like i get cheated out of wins.

Nearly Perfect. I love the entire Retro Bowl franchise! I’d even made a college slot on the first Retro Bowl before this one came out thanks to customization, and for a dollar each you cannot beat it! If you love any level of football and retro graphics download it and go ahead and pay for it. (You’ll have to pay for this one if you want schools to have the right colors) I was glad when the hash marks were widened, but that the first area for improvement. It’s programmed that you play from whichever hash you ended closest to, but especially with the widened hashes a middle field would be a nice addition. For recruiting it would be nice to have a transfer portal option that works like free agency in the nfl version. Also if you had unhappy players at the end of a season, they should enter the portal. Maybe you have the option to resign them (like free agents in nfl) or can refill with transfers or recruits. Conference realignment may be too tricky to pull off, but the 12 team playoff would be nice to at least have option. Maybe coming once we get there. Lastly, I wish rankings favored the better/power schools. Too many playoff fields with Georgia State, Kent State, New Mexico to name a few. If I was coaching those that’d make sense, but want to play power schools in the 4 team playoff field at least. Great work as is, of course, but my ideas to add to an already robust and excellent game.

It’s the best college football mobile game but. Overall this game is been VERY fun but there is some issues. First is the gpa, my star players have to be benched for 3 weeks at a time at least 2 or 3 times a year. My biggest issue with the game overall is that I can’t change teams. In the original retro bowl, you would start with a bad team and once you won a championship, you would get tons of offers and after a couple championships you could go to any team in the entire league. In this game, they 8 FBS teams are the only teams you can play with. No matter how many champions I win, there is 0 offers. And it makes it less fun because there is no real motivation. The journey from Portland state to Georgia or Michigan is what would make this game elite. If they add changing teams, change the gpa a little and maybe make a slight tweak to recruiting. (Michigan and big schools start with a 70k cap while Portland state starts with 35k)

Problems and wishlist. First of all, I play this game more often than OG Retro Bowl, but it does have something’s I don’t quite like. Don’t get me wrong, I love the game, but I have a few things I don’t like and a few things I think could be added to the game. Unlike the original game, you can’t pick any college at the start, which is not very cool. I wish I could start out as a different team than say Wyoming. Another problem I have with the game is after I’ve won 4 major national championships in a row, all undefeated by the way, all in Wyoming, I didn’t get any offers from any “good” schools, just the same old bottom of the barrel schools each year. I wish they would add conference realignment, not random, but at the end of the season I should be able to manually realign the conferences. I think this would be so cool. I also wish they could make funding easier, it’s difficult to build a higher quality teams with the current system. Also a transfer portal feature would be amazing. Ability to add 12 team playoff? PLEASE!!!

Just a few things. Ok, awesome game, but the only complaint I have is it doesn’t feel like college football. For example the fans cheer when the other team scores, even when you’re at home. You should add something like CFB 25 where the home fans make noise when the away team is on offense. Also, it doesn’t feel like there’s any tradition, and that’s the best part of college football. Where’s Boise State’s blue turf? And Tennessee’s checkered endzone? Those are the only complaints I have, I’ve been playing so much and the game just rocks but maybe add these couple things. Edit: 2/9/25 I’d really like it if there was an exhibition mode. I’ve heard New Star is going to add it but it hasn’t happened yet. I’d also like it if you could start with your favorite team like in the OG retro bowl and RB25. I wanna be able to rebuild my favorite teams, you know? Also you got the rights from the NFL, so why can’t you get them from the NCAA? One of my favorite parts about RB25 was the pixelated logos and endzones. It just felt so classic and made the game even better. I would also like if you could add a team builder and conference realignment like CFB25.

A bit rigged?. Great game and I recommend it highly. However, as you play on there is clearly an algorithm that works against the player. I have it on both the phone and ipad, so play two separate leagues and I play often (I travel a lot, so it’s a tidy little activity while the plane is boarding, etc). In two unrelated experiences the game is constantly penalizing me with negative issues, sometimes two at a time (curfew, skip studying, etc.). The game clearly wants me to pay for more credits to upgrade, increase GPA, increase happiness, etc. Similarly, the whole GPA path is basically a pay to play/win scheme, in this case, sort of literally. You essentially have to pay to play your players. Otherwise, they are often on the bench. In my lifetime I don’t know if I have ever heard of a star player actually benched for academic reasons, while if I didn’t pay for grades it would happen to almost every player every season. That’s a bit much. Injuries as well. Finally, add a SIM button. All my offensive players are injured (another thing that has happened on iPhone/ipad at similar times), it would be good to sim the games without them.

You have cricket, but all you need to do is get a baseball game. You have a great company with great games except some in the past, but I’m not here to say about that but can you please add baseball for all the baseball knots and have it defense and offense because you know baseball fans will be mad about that and also if your other games can you add offense and defense, so people who are been complaining for years about that can finally rest assured that they can play a full inning game for an insane experience hopefully in two years because you made that college football game while you were in you’re dying prime and got more people to download it and also you’re probably gonna be competing against college football 25 which is being hyped up for the best EA sports game ever since college football 2014 so you have to get a good hype up show sports who is the boss make everyone proud and doing in a few .years or a month six months will be waiting for you.

The Best Option for CFB Fans. I have tried many coaching simulators and football games on mobile. None of them are as good as this game; recruitment, customization, teams, and even a full postseason with awards. I’ve watched this game go from good to great; the implementation of the “SIM” feature and more recently the face mask editing has taken it over the top. But as I said before, the game is great—not perfect. I’d really like to see a few other things implemented, most of which have already been amplified by the preexisting fan base. Regardless my list includes: a transfer portal system (including toxic players leaving), a redshirt system (just add another slot to the roster with limited games for the designated player), TRUCKING (the same feature from Retro Bowl needs to be in RBC—can’t express how much fun it makes pounding the rock!), and a class ranking system would be cool too (there’s already polls for team performance through a season, just add a poll after freshman admissions to see who has the top 25 recruiting classes.) It feels ironic to give so many suggestions and critiques to a game that I’m already rating 5 stars, but when compared to its mobile peers, RBC crushes the competition with that iconic retro charm. For all of those reasons, it’s my clear-cut national champion (relatively).

Has potential. I really like the game, but i have some ideas that i think would benefit the overall experience. 1-playing defense. If we were able to play defense, the games would be more enjoyable. or even being able to choose defensive plays/schemes and formations. 2- custom stadiums-being able to edit the stadium beyond the color of the end zones would benefit the game and make for a more unique gaming experience. 3-coaching decisions. Many of the choices that the game gives me regarding disciplining players repeats itself year after year. It would be interesting to see more scenarios than we do as of now. 4- custom schedules. I understand that each team needs to have a set amount of conference games and whatnot, but I think we should have the ability to choose our schedule outside of conference games. Teams that struggle could make a lighter strength of schedule and successful teams could make a stronger strength of schedule. Lastly, I think adding an online mode would be great, or creating online leagues where we can play against our friends or anyone else online. I thoroughly enjoy the game as it is, but i think it has potential to be a much better game

This game is great but minor improvements would make it amazing. First of all, this game is great. But it lacks some big parts of realism on college football. In-season recruiting-I cannot express how much this feature needs to be added. Due to having to cut a player mid season for partying and etc. I believe there should be a scouting/recruiting portal in the admin/facility page. In this portal, you will see seniors, maybe juniors in high school who have interest in your school. You can spend coaching credits to make them more interested into coming to your program. Once the interest level becomes full, the high school player will commit to your program. Even you don’t want to spend coaching credits, you should be able to scout players so you know what is coming from the freshman class of next year. For example, if my running back is a junior and wants to declare for the draft early, you can go to the recruiting portal and see if there is good running back prospect that you have scouted or players that are committed to you, if you indeed do have good running backs for next years freshman class, I would let them declare early. If not, then I would ask them to stay another year. Also a helpful attribute to have would be the ability to sim games like in the original retro bowl. Overall a great game, but I believe with a recruiting portal, things would get a whole lot better.

Needs improvement. This game is such an amazing way to pass time. In my opinion, it’s better than the original retro bowl and I love the variety in teams, players, and so forth. However, I have some bones to pick. Primarily, it gets boring. Dynamic is simply too easy. I played on dynamic for at least 10 seasons and it was too easy to put up 40 to 60 points every game, or sometimes more. Additionally, hard difficulty feels too easy and impossible is impossible, which is how it should be. I want to play and not know I’m going to win every time due to an incapable opposing defense. I feel like all that needs to be done is to make the opposing defensive players a little smarter, so no matter what their skill is on whatever difficulty, the decisions they make are more realistic despite varying skill and athketiscn on different difficulties. When I play dynamic, it should make “tough” games tough. I shouldn’t be able to pass the ball for an entire game and guarantee an easy win. Make the players a little smarter and give it a little bit of the unpredictability of the real thing. Then you’ll have yourself a winner.

Fun. Pretty fun and I like the game but it’s pretty annoying that I’ll dominate a game and still have to criticize a player for literally no reason. Other than that it’s fun and unique but it doesn’t make any sense that I’ll have a perfect game and yet the DL apparently didn’t do well so either pay up or make him mad. That’s a weird mechanic that I have no control over but I like the draft system and how it’s very limited with cash and options especially after you pick the first one. That makes it seem more real and challenging. I also think it’s slightly annoying that my players will sometimes fumble off of the kick off when I don’t control that either, it seems a little cheap and it only happens in very close games. That doesn’t have any part in my rating I like the challenge even though it is annoying. Replay system is a cool addition and it would be cool to add celebrations in cup games or bowls. Only thing I would like to add would be a better system of choosing plays. I understand that is a lot for a simplistic game and I’ll be clear that I do like the play system as it is.

Great game but a few critiques. I consider this game better than the origional retro bowl, however, there are three things that i eould love to see added in the near future. Sim game option, abilities, and a more relaxed GPA system, first of all i think that sim game should come back from the original retro bowl,However, i would like to see a new adition called an Ability, basically something special about the player ranging from valedictorian that makes it easy for them to keep their gpa up to cheetah that increases their speed stat past the normal threshold. This is an ambitious ask but i feel that would let this game take a major leap and intrest people who got bored of the original retro bowl to trysomething new. My 3rd and final ask is a relaxed GPA system, it seems like all my star players need to be benched every other game just so they won’t be suspended. Those are some ideas goodbye devs of NewStar.

0 DOMINANT Teams?!… That’s Utterly RIDICULOUS!!!. In EVERY season that I’ve played?! ALL of The CFP Teams had At LEAST 3 but MOSTLY 4 losses. What kind of NCAA Football is that?! My 1st season at Vandy, I went 10-3 (losing only to UGA and Tenn). I was my division Runner-Up but EVERY CFP Team had a worse record than us. I had to settle for A Sugar (I think) Bowl appearance vs USC (we lost, in kind of a BlowOut; 45-28). I’ve purchased The Unlimited Version, 50 Coaching Credits and even 500 Coaching Credits because I play on “Dynamic” and I want to have A Competitive Edge. But I would like to see Power House Football Teams with Powerhouse records. UGA, BAMA or Ohio State SHOULDN’T finish 9-4 or 8-5 and be the top teams in their conference. That’s An OFF Year, for those teams. Oregon winning The PAC-12 at 8-5?! RIDICULOUS. Please, fix!!! Other than that?! GOOD Game. Change The UNREALISTIC PARITY and make The Powerhouse Teams actually POWERHOUSES?! That and adding A Transfer Portal?!… Will make “Retro College Bowl TOTALLY AWESOME!!!🙏🏽🔥🏈🎮💯

Near perfect. The game is such a fun sequel to the original retro bowl, but there are just enough differences to make it a noticeably different experience. I think more players leaving during their Junior Years could be an interesting addition, as well as the installation of a transfer portal feature. The in-game sprite comparison between the original RB and RBC seems extremely odd- I took screenshots of my Colorado QB from RBC when he’s throwing and my custom team’s QB from RB when he’s throwing and the difference is very noticeable. The Retrobowl in-game sprites look more built and full, while the college sprites look like they’re starving. The college qb’s arm is one pixel thick! I’d love to see a mix of the sprites in the college game- maybe have the star players have the original sprite? I’m no game developer. Another complaint is a stupid one, but when I see a college like Northern Iowa called NIU instead of UNI on the scoreboard just bugs me- same with Southern California not being called USC. I wish having the premium in the original retrobowl would transfer over to the college experience, but I could understand why it wouldn’t be.

Some Suggestions!!!. I love the game so much!! Here are some suggestions to make the game better imo… -Please add in-season recruiting!! This could make it feel more real and more at stake, we could use recruiting points to bring recruits in and build a solid recruiting class. The current system is good but it feels more like an og retro bowl draft than recruiting. -Please add field/end zone logos!! If we could have a way to add field logos or add end zone names it would make the game more immense and would make away games feel more hostile. It would also be cool if we could import url logos to teams in the editor. It would be cool to play a bitter rival and having to be reminded that you are on their home field during the game. -Please add a way to customize conference in editor!! This one may seem like a stretch…But if possible could we have a way to edit conferences. With upcoming realignment in the real college football world it would be great if we could assign the teams in RBC to their new respective conference. I think it would be a realistic edition to make the game better than it already is. *Y’all probably have already made these things and waiting to release it in a new update but I hustled wanted to give y’all some ideas* Thank you, and again I love RBC!!

Great but the potential for more is out there.. I loved retro bowl. So when this came out, naturally, I loved this game too. It added so much to what was an already entertaining and fun game. But a thought recently hit me. Notice on how you can view where players are from when you click on the roster. It gave me an idea that, for those who payed for the add-on, we could customize what town, city, or maybe even country the players are from. It may seem a little far fetched until you realize that you can customize where each bowl in the game are is located. I love the game, it’s great to customize each and every character and give them their own little story. But this small detail can so much to the players and give them a personality of their own. Plus it could increase the number of people who’d buy the add-on so that they could also create their own players themselves. It’s just a thought. I’d like to hope this could get added someday. Otherwise, the game is still great to play. 7.5/10.

Fun Game. I like the funding limiting you from selecting top players every recruiting cycle, as it keeps the game challenging. Without free agents, a transfer portal option might be interesting. Sometimes it’s frustrating not to be able to select walk ons from all the positions you need. The rankings are still a bit off, with teams like South Alabama, Texas State, and Troy doing too well because they are ranked too high while their conference opponents are too low. The main updates needed are for beginning team selections. “Nashville” is a great program now, so a weaker team or two in that conference makes more sense. I liked it better when there were about two options in each conference. My main reason for not wanting to pick the game back up is the limited team selections at the beginning, and several have been the same ones since the game was released, so it gets boring. With 16-18 teams in the top conferences, it makes sense to have 2-3 options available in each.

Great game a couple of problems. I’ve been playing retro bowl for about 3 years now and when I heard retro bowl college was coming out, I was hype, the game overall is a great game but there are a few things that just make it unplayable, the first thing is, I wish we could take advantage of the transfer portal or even have players leave our program to make it more realistic. The second thing is I wish recruiting was a week to week thing that makes it feel rewarding to get players, don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind the current recurring system, but I wish there was a setting where you could turn on more advanced recruiting for the players who wanna spend their time recruiting and then the normal recruiting for players who just want to enjoy the fun experience. The third thing that I hope changes is having the option to start with any team, I get trying to build your way up to becoming a great head coach but as die hard Michigan fan, I want to start a dynasty with them and play with them, another thing this game could work on would be the uniforms, the color schemes are either a bit off or the uniforms them selves are a bit outdated. And finally I saved the biggest issue for last, I wouldn’t call my self a pro when it comes to retro bowl but I’m definitely not a new player, I usually settle on playing on hard difficulty and what makes this game so unrealistic that I quit 3 weeks into my new dynasty is how horrible the AI defense is, it’s like every drive we let up a touchdown and if I don’t score we lose, it doesn’t matter if I’m #1 ranked Bama and I’m playing Kent state, they will drop 40 point games on me and it makes the game not only unrealistic but annoying, I just wish AI defense wouldn’t force me to score 40 touchdowns a game and would actually make stops, that’s the #1 reason why I quit this game and haven’t been able to play through a full season of this game, thank you to everyone who read this and I really hope the developers see this and fix the AI defense, thank you have a blessed day.

Go Back to Retro Bowl(+). This game is okay. It adds a dimension to standard Retro Bowl, which means it’s not just monotonous football all the time. But, key things are missing — like transfers. The rates of walk ons aren’t high either. Managing GPA is also kind of ridiculous, as any training besides light leads to a rapidly declining GPA. But the biggest problem with the game, and I paid for the unlimited version, is that it’s still buggy. It feels like a beta game, so no wonder it’s free. I am in Y6 and stuck with the original team I picked. Why? Because I’m unable to improve my coach rating despite winning the Naty for several years. The lack of improved rating means I get no job offers from other schools. And my rating doesn’t increase because, per the developer who I emailed, I’m not at “a supposedly better college.” So, effectively, I’m stuck. I’m only out $1, but until this game gets fixed, don’t waste your time and money. As stated, the developers aren’t helpful either besides “please be patient, we’re aware of this,” yet the game’s been out for awhile.

Amazing game, few suggestions to make if even better. First off this game is so fun, I prefer this version to retro bowl just because I’m in college and I tend to prefer college football but this game is the best chill football game there is prolly Few suggestions to make it better Add transfer portal options to be able to recruit players for CC similar to the free agents in RB, also players who are toxic could potentially transfer out, Also PLEASE ADD A CAREER MODE this would be so much fun, same concept as RB college but you play as a specific player on the team, a WR, QB, RB, TE, whatever, of defensive player (that would be sick if we could play defense too) but you’d still get the similar scenarios like should I study for exams (GPA increase) or should I train (XP) or go to a party (Morale boost) and just make the season progress with the games but you play as one specific player. Also not sure if the specific player traits are still in the game for ex one player might be a bookworm and have a naturally higher gpa or one player might be a glass cannon and be injury prone. Little things like these will bring much more realism to the game and make it more enjoyable overall.

A lot of potential, but *deeply* flawed. This game has a lot of fun features to it, but it’s largely spoiled by being an intensely negative game. They have a system for tracking the morale of your players, and once that gets low it’s extremely hard to raise it because the game starts piling on with repeated morale dropping notifications after every single game. Even after wins you will often get stupid notifications that one of your players celebrated inappropriately or wore a headband that someone didn’t like. 🙄 You even have to decide whether to let a player’s gpa drop because you wouldn’t let them receive academic help of some kind or else the team’s overall morale will drop because you supposedly showed one player favoritism. You can offset some of the morale dropping by subtracting coach credits, but then it becomes nearly impossible to build those up for using on things like facilities, coach hires, & scholarship increases. They even have negative demands at times for you to cut players from your team (with no way to replace them during season) unless you pay enough coach credits to keep that from happening. If you don’t have enough credits at that point, too bad! 😡 I’ve played (and enjoyed) the NFL version of Retro Bowl for a couple of years now, and it’s nowhere near as negative and morale sucking as this game. If the game’s designers would fix that aspect of the game (as well as a few other minor issues), they would have an extremely fun game that can become quite addictive. As it is currently, though, it can be extremely frustrating — to the point of being almost unplayable at times.

Great game but could be better. The original retro bowl was and still is an amazing game. As soon as I saw this game come out, I downloaded it immediately hoping for it to be identical to the original. However, when I got into the game I realized some major differences. First of all, there is no sim button which could help make the season go by faster instead of playing all 14 games. Second, there is no way to get players mid season. In real college football, players can transfer teams. This would be a major feature that could help season progression. Finally, the GPA system is a little bit weird. It keep all of your players in a game every week, you have to spend your credits to keep them in the game. I feel that you should only have to use your coins on a player once or twice every other season. Overall, this is a great game and I am glad that it is finally out. Some things could be better but in the future this game will grow immaculately.

The superior version of Retro Bowl. Retro Bowl College is better in pretty much every way than its predecessor. One of the main issues it addresses is the snowballing effect that happens in the original Retro Bowl: after winning a few Super Bowls you have enough credits to always have the best players that you need in each draft. Players can stay on for many years thereby guaranteeing five star teams. Retro Bowl College in comparison limits players to 4 years (sometimes 3 if they opt to go to the draft). This means that the player has to spend a year or two building the right team to ensure a good run at the championship. It feels much more realistic and adds much needed balance to “end game” coaching careers. Overall, Retro Bowl College is my go-to nowadays. It’s more challenging in all the right ways yet still just as easy to pick up and play.

Good game Needs changes. This game is pretty fun for the most part but there are a few things i would add to make it 5 star: First I would really appreciate if you added a list of every national champion winner like they list super bowls in retro bowl i know some years had split winner but just put both or the college that claimed that title that year. I would love if they added transfer portal. for example if a player is angry he might transfer at the end of the season and you can recruit players from the portal. another thing i would love if teams that are better win more, let me explain in the playoffs teams that are 9-3 will win it all over a undefeated team this doesn’t make sense to me and i would appreciate if the winning wasn’t so random and ai teams would win back to back. i also think they should keep track of the winners of bowl games/conference championships that the player wasn’t involved in.

Great game, but….. First off, I want to say I love the game play. I’ve been a big fan of Retro Bowl (and so are my kids) and love the simplicity of the controls, the quick game-play and the edit options. Those things are still prevalent with Retro Bowl College. This version gives you the opportunity to climb the coaching ladder, upgrade facilities and hire coaches as well. All great things. You also get the opportunity to recruit players which is very cool and upgrade them as well. However, I feel this version is way more difficult in terms of managing your players and upgrading coaches/facilities. For example, players need to maintain a minimum GPA (which is a great idea) but there only a few ways to help them keep their GPA up and most of those come at the detriment of other areas of the game. If you sit a player out of a game to raise their GPA, sometimes it takes multiple games to improve their GPA. Like in Retro Bowl, players make dumb mistakes but again, these seem to happen nearly every game and sometimes it happens to multiple players in a given week. Unlike Retro Bowl, the players do not do positive things to help them out, only negative. Unless you have a lot of coaching credits, it’s very difficult to keep your players happy throughout the season, let alone improve facilities and coaches. I would gladly give this game 5 stars if the week to week management was a bit more user friendly/realistic. However, the constant struggle of having to manage all the negative issues with players makes this a 3 star game.

Add Redshirting to Expand Roster?. This game is an improvement to the original Retro Bowl. I would change teams frequently in the original - between a few drafts and free agency, your team could be stacked for a decade after just a season or 2. But in College football, the 4 year max adds a more difficult dynamic. My one suggestion to make it a little more like actual college football would be to allow building a bigger roster than 10 by recruiting players and redshirting them for their first year. Sometimes you see a star skilled position player, but your roster is full. Rather than forcing to revoke a scholarship, redshirting would allow you to recruit the player but have him unavailable to play for his freshman season. This mimics actual college football, since true freshman have to redshirt frequently since they have no way of becoming a starter. Overall this is a top notch follow up to retro bowl!

I love this game but,. I love this game but, there are a couple major things missing, 1: A rivalry system, I know it may be complicated but if there could be something maybe in the team editor where you can assign a rival, and then the last week you play that rival should be a must in any college football game, 2: a transfer portal, I’m sure this is on the way but during the offseason you can select player that want to play for you with CC just like free agency, but only during the offseason, it’s not a necessary thing to add but it would be a great addition to give a team a boost, 3: finally, whenever player go to the draft and you over fill you scholarship fund I think it would be nice to receive some reward so what is for every 5k or 10k over the scholarship fund you go you get 1-2 CC to give incentives to have players declare early and give the player more chance to improve the facilities or raise the scholarship fund. Those are just some ideas I think would add a great deal to the game but still a great game, highly recommended to anyone

Needs to be more like the current college game. Love the OG retro bowl and have customized it as a college game for awhile now. So I was super excited for an actual college version to play but have found this one a little disappointing. First off, the gpa is weird as a lot of people have commented on so it needs to be changed where you don’t have to bench your players every other week. Once or twice a season seems more accurate. Second, where is the transfer portal and NIL? These are huge parts of the current game and could be easily modulated from the pro versions free agency and salary cap. New star needs to research this and add it here. It would be a nice wrinkle to have to match NIL offers from other schools between seasons. Third, why can’t you start at the school of your choice? I like the work your way up approach but also might like to pick my team for a different game just for fun. I want to be able to do both. RB is escapist entertainment and sometimes I want to escape by working my way through the ranks and sometimes by dominating with my fave team. Give both options. Finally, I don’t understand why certain parts of the game aren’t included. If you have kick returns why not punt returns? Kickers but not punters? Let us play defense! And actually see our defensive players we recruit in action! Let us have more players! 12 is not enough. Overall RB is the best sports game app hands down and my fave. Keep working to make it even better.

A Must For College Football Fans. Let me just say I love College Football, and Retro Bowl is great, and Retro Bowl College builds on that legacy, but there are some problems. First off their are some uniforms that don’t match the teams at all like Florida, also there is a 2nd alternate uniform but it always just some placeholder for what could be there, and I know I could buy the unlimited version and customize but I really just don’t think it is fair to have someone buy that just to change a uniform. Another thing is that there is no transfer portal at all, and I think this game really needs that. My final thing is that I wish it would let you start as your favorite team, now someone else already said this but I like how you have to build your legacy, but at the same time I just want to play as my favorite team. In conclusion this is still a great Retro Bowl spinoff but there are things you can change, but the game has only been out for a week so I think everything I listed or some of it will come to the actual game.

Awkward mechanics in the game. First off I love this game I have always liked cfb better than the nfl but have been disappointed in just a few aspects. First off I like how the game doesn’t let you pick the specific team and have you build up to get that offer, I have been an Ohio State fan for my whole life and the fact that I have to build up was kinda interesting but way too time consuming as it took me 9 straight seasons of winning the major to get me that offer. Second I think gpa was an interesting twist but I got my players gpa from a 1 to a 3 using coaching credits in the meeting and he still is benched? Finally I think it’s interesting how its much more difficult to become ridiculously overpowered because you 5 star players wont reach their potential by the time they’re out of college. I also think its weird how some jerseys are completely inaccurate since the teams don’t violate copy right, why was this not an issue in the original game, if you don’t know what I am talking about for example university of Illinois’ uniform is purple and yellow instead of the navy and orange, the indiana hoosiers are also like a texas orange instead of the dark red

Potential is tremendous. First off the concept is amazing. However, the only way to play to make it challenging is on extreme. The issue with that is, after my first game on a new season 5 players were suspended for low grades… really? Lol okay fine, however even in extreme there should be some teams that aren't 5 stars, lets be real. There should still be a ranking of teams based on strength and school merit major/minor. If you want to hit us hard with the school drama fine. Let us grind the play. It also seems like no matter how good of a defense you have, 99% of the time no matter what team you play scores on every possession. Lets fix that. There is also a glitch right now where defending a player is not raising moral. I’m great with earning coaching offers to new schools and not starting where you want…building teams, grinding coaching credits ect…however would love to see some form of regular season recruiting, visits, letter of intents, ect instead of just a “draft” style board like Retro Bowl. I wouldn't mind also, being fired for poor performance a time or two to make things interesting and having to start over and build again with new offers. I would also love to see you being able have offers to pick your preseason opponents, that way you have a chance to improve your ranking based on schedule strength wins ect. Not opposed to playing all offense however, can we get some flags on some plays? Every now and then to make things interesting? Replays? And why limit our audibles? We already cant choose plays, audibles should be unlimited.

Great game! But one problem…. My experience with this game has been AWESOME. But it also has been a little frustrating. The best parts of this game is that the developers put the time and effort to actually include gpa, majors, and hobby’s which I thought was awesome. Also they included about every school that has a football team, even the minor ones. the one major problem though that I have had with this game is that half the time I don’t know what some teams are. Like for example LSU has just like the full name in and it’s not just LSU. So it takes time to go through and change very single team name to what they are exposed to be which I haven’t taken the time to do yet. But besides that one problem this game is already one of my favorite games and I am only probably two hours in. I already like it more then retro bowl. Besides that one problem this is a five star game and I highly recommend that you buy it.

Great game with small things to fix. I’ve been a fan of the bowl games for as long as I can remember and the developers are usually pretty good at making adjustments. College football is definitely a bit harder to manage due to the huge amount of teams, locations, bowls, rankings, standings, etc. I really do hope they can make it work because it’s ones of the best mobile games in our time. Issues I’ve noticed: ranking system is weird, doesn’t make sense at times; a lot of teams with the wrong names, and school colors (team editor helped for my favorite team); no way to maintain players GPA levels other than spending a lot of credits player by player each time (Maybe add option for investing in overall Academics); Other aspects missing is actual recruiting work not just admissions; the Transfer portal similar to Free agents in NFL version; having the name of the city or team in the end zone; other team being able to stop the clock with their own time outs; show the final top 4 teams in bracket form; finally implement some type of way to play defense and control my defensive stars. Great work to the whole team that has worked on this project. Hope it can continue to grow with a lot of support.

What’s with the hashes. This is a great game overall and I have loved it for the time it’s been out and have been playing it like crazy, but recently the new update was released and everything is great except the wider hashes. Whenever I run a play I could get downed in the middle of the field but it will still put me on one of the hashes. Also multiple of the routes are messed up specially the ones with the TE. He’ll end up running across the whole entire defensive line just to get put in the dirt before he could even run his route. The way there’s so much space on the opposite side of where you are on the hashes completely throws me off. Sometimes my wide receiver will just streak wide open because of the weird placement of the ball. Don’t get me wrong I love a free touchdown but now it’s just annoying. Also the runs are all over the place. What looks like a inside run ends going outside and it messes me up. Overall the wide hashes just mess with my mind and make the hard for me to play. I want to play the game but these hashes just get on my nerves over and over again. I really hope a developer sees this and responds. PLEASE FIX THIS

It’s Great But,. This game is overall very fun and addicting to play. I’ve recently had the app for a week and have already played 5 seasons. Overall it’s a great but there are some key aspects missing. First of all, the transfer portal. This is a key part of the current college game. This would make it more fun because you would be able to switch teams and be able to bring them with you or instead of needing to get people who have never played you can get veteran qbs and rbs to help power your team and mentor the young players. Second, the GPA aspect of the game. I like the overall aspect of it but it is too difficult to get around. For example, you can be playing and after like 3 or 4 weeks your star player is done and potentially for the rest of the season. Also, you can spend credits on helping their GPA but many of us can’t spend credits every week trying to help players be eligible. Thank you for listening and hopefully you will help the Retro Bowl community make this game better and more fun for all of us. Overall, though the game is a very good game and very fun.

A top alternative to College Football. Probably one of the best football games I’ve played. A free College Football game that lets me play out as my fav team and build them into a dynasty? Say less! It’s got everything Retro Bowl has but with a college twist. Player GPAs, Scholarships, you name it. I like the challenge of only having players for only 4 years. It makes each roster you have fresh. The gameplay is seamless and the ranking system is pretty cool, too. Not only do they have all 133 FBS teams (well, fictionalized counterparts), but also all 128 FCS teams as well (still fictionalized). The fact that they did what EA wouldn’t even do with their past CFB games is just amazing. But I will talk about the flaws. You can’t realign conferences to your liking. Want to move Winston S. (Wake Forest) to the Sun Sash (Sun Belt) for being a bottomfeeder? Too bad! Think your Midwest (MAC) dynasty team should be in the Large X (B1G)? Nope! There’s also no transfer portal, so that’s a bummer. That would really add some spice to the game. Also, no redshirting. Some would say the jerseys and teams aren’t exactly the same as the real CFB teams, but, c’mon, unlimited is ¢99 so get that. Also there is no field editor, so I CAN’T MAKE MY BOISE STATE FIELD BLUE. I know, bummer. But besides all that, it’s probably the best CFB game to come out in a while and it should definitely be on everyone’s mobile device. You don’t even have to be a CFB fan to get into RBC.

Great game! Some small bugs and wishes…. I really enjoyed Retro Bowl but I may like the College version even more! Hopefully basketball, baseball, and other sports will be possible down the road! As far as bugs I have observed, there still seems to be some issues with how historical results are displayed in the head coaching profile, like incorrect final ranking, text character overlap, and conference names appearing and disappearing as you scroll through the history. Also, the “Achievements” list tends to glitch repeatedly when trying to scroll through. Lastly, I changed the divisional names from “Major” and “Minor” to “FBS” and “FCS”, respectively, but it is still not reflected in the historical results. Wishes: it would be awesome if a list of historical winners was added for championship games and bowl games, as seen in Retro Bowl and Retro Goal. Also, the ranking logic seems a bit unrealistic at times when considering win-loss records and victories over other ranked teams. Lastly, it would be great to see a happy medium between Dynamic and Extreme difficulty levels. At Dynamic Level 12, I can run/throw for 70+ yards on almost every play but I rarely see a play go longer than 10 yards at the Extreme level. And any more achievements and player records that you can add would also be fantastic! Thanks for making these great games!

Some necessary things to add. I played retro bowl for years. So you know when this game came out,I was more hype than my team winning the natty (they did by the way-go blue!) but now as the years progress, this game just isn’t accurate anymore. And while I know the game was never meant to be completely accurate (I mean just look at how long the field is!) but you can’t brand something as college football when it doesn’t look like college football. So here’s what I ask: first, I want it to be up to date with normal retro bowl. This means exhibition and sim. Honestly, if they just gave us that, I’d still be happy. But second, we need the twelve team playoff. Maybe this could be included as an option in the menus, just like the new kickoffs in normal retro bowl. Finally, we need to be able to switch which conference a team is in. That’s just a fact of college football, and if you don’t have that, then it’s just not representative of what college sports are today. If you read this whole thing thanks! If your new star reading this, plz reply! This is a great have and it can only get better!

Very decent. A few things. I was looking forward to a spin-off of Retro Bowl, possibly even a Retro Bowl 2. I had very high hopes, which were met with some joy. I am happy that there’s a little twists and changes here and there with the budget, GPA and more. I’m also happy with the attention to detail, like how you can see their majors and what they’re studying. In terms of gameplay, there is no difference from Retro Bowl itself, which is a slight disappointment. One of the overarching problems of Retro Bowl was it’s repetitiveness; you draft high potential, you have a decent season, you draft more high potential, you win the Retro Bowl. Even if it was a slight gameplay change, like penalties or flags being in the game. I didn’t mean for this to be negative in any way. I love the thought put in to this game, and I have really high hopes for the future. Thank you for this amazing game.

This game needs a little help by me. If you see this, please read it.plzzz ❗️❗️❗️🥹🥹. First of all the amount of time to play should be increased to five minutes on both Retro Bowl college and Retro Bowl. second We need new routes. and last make it so that we can customize the field like if you press a team it should say customize field, and then you can draw things on the field

Suggestion. add a simulation like in the original

Great game!. I love this game, many hours of fun. The would love to see some passions such as punt returns and the transfer window (perhaps if players are toxic they leave?) just to give some more story telling as the seasons progress

Retro bowl. Perfect spinoff to the game although i wish that you could link your retro bowl college to the main retro bowl so i can see my stats from retro bowl college on the main retrobowl

Great game - minor changes. The game is great and I love the new features compared to the original retro bowl, although it would be nice to add something new to the gameplay such as being able to play on defence or having flags. It would also be great if you could see how your player is going once they reach the nfl, when they are tagged in the yearbook. For example it could say that they made rookie of the year or something. Overall, great game.

Please read this. Almost perfect but PLEASE make a multiplayer mode it’s the ONLY thing needed to make it perfect

More teams. First off Retro college is amazing I just have one issue I can’t use Oregon My parents won’t let me pay money on the unlimited version so I can’t pick Oregon at the start And I don’t want to have to wait until I win like it five times. I just want there to be freedom of any team to use AT THE START!

Freezes Often on Mac. Thanks

Great game, but a couple bugs perhaps?. Love the different dynamics involved compared to Retro Bowl (which is a great game). After purchasing the unlimited version, the 12 man roster option doesn’t seem to be recognised and stays as 10 in the roster screen, even if 12 is your options selection. Bug, or am I missing something? Also, setting the coaching options to light seems to drop the GPA values as fast as the normal setting. In one season my kicker (a junior) played in only half the games as the GPA sometimes didn’t improve after being benched, even with light training as the setting. As with the continual improvements in Retro Bowl, I’m sure the college version will get massaged too. Cheers for the great games!

Pls add career mode. I saw a yt vid abt a career mode in rb college so pls add it soon

Boring. Boring

Too many fumbles on extreme. Too many fumbles on extreme

retro collage. can you make so you can use it on laptop

great game. similar to retro bowl but with an extra twist, more off field issues with players which makes it a little harder. Overall really good game, would recommend.

It’s really good. I really like this game, it’s addictive. I just wished there was more games like this like a rugby league or rugby union one.

Sim button!. Great game, love everything about it. Just a recommendation, add a sim button for people who like rebuilding quickly! Just like yous have in retro bowl. Cheers.

Make it more realistic. How come there’s Minor teams that are better than a lot of the power 5 teams? And could you make the recruiting more realistic? Like a minor team should not be able to recruit a 5 star player. And is there any way you could make a difficulty in between hard and extreme because I think I’d find that more fun than just losing one game each year but still winning the natty.

J. Love the game it’s fun honestly making me wish you guys made more football games

Simulate Games. Great game with a good concept but gets boring after a few seasons having to play every game, so adding the ability to sim games like normal retro bowl would make it a lot more playable

Great But…. The game is great, but why can’t my defensive players get any stat other than tackles? I had a 4 star DLinemen for all 4 years and he ended up being a 5 star by the end of his college career. Yet he did not have 1 sack or any stat other than tackles

Great Game, But. It truly is a great game except it’s missing realistic components such as, beating ranked teams is easy but the moment you can make the conference championship game you lose to a 3-6 team after beating consecutive perfect or close to perfect teams. Please make higher ranked teams better than ranked teams for a touch of realism.

Hi. It’s a good game

Great game. I think the game and graphics are great, I just with that accurate uniforms were included

Suggestions. They should make a retro bowl cfl

Very good. The only thing you should add is simulating

Worth The Download. Been a great game! Wish you could sim some games. But definitely worth a download and play if you like retro gaming with the old Bo Jackson feeling xD 10/10 keep updating this! Need to add the Ivy League just to mess with!

Simulation Please. This game is great. Exactly what I’m looking for. But I’m starting to hate playing it because I can’t simulate games. Please please please make it so we can sim games. Makes the game so much more fun. Thank you!

Love the game. Great game but after 5 seasons or so any premier team like Alabama and Georgia lose a lot of stars and teams that shouldn’t ever be good like New Mexico State are 5 stars and winning national championships. Is there any way to keep the good teams good without having to restart every few seasons?

Add simming. Please add simming it takes so long to play thru the season especially when ur team sucks it makes me wanna quit

Great game. I’ve played both this game and the original, both outstanding games. Although the college game is supposed to be more difficult, I find it to be easier and more enjoyable. I really can’t say enough positive things about it.

Suggestions. Please make simulating a option like in the NFL retro bowl also it would be cool to make your own plays and make a retro bowl for the CFL

Needs sim game option. Really fun, its just like retro bowl but college which I've been waiting for forever. One problem is that you can’t simulate games which you can do in retro bowl nfl

Sim Games. 5 stars once we can sim games

love game. no ads and very fun

Plz. Pleaseeeeee add a nba one where you get to GM a NBA team everyone I know would play please

Good music. It’s basically the same as the original but the music is amazing and it has more features you just need a sim button

Question. I’m enjoying the game so far but can you make it so we can simulate matches?

Fun but needs improvements. Very fun and great game but we need things in retro bowl that aren’t in this game. Also add new features like making your characters debate over if they want to go to your college or not, so you have to approach them over the season. And the big one, simulate games must be added

Simulation. I love playing this game but I wish there was a way to simulate games

Terrible. This game sucks so bad

2. Simmed match option and transfer portal would be cool .

Overall well done but ……. Great game, overall well done, but…. it would be better if we could play defence. Not having to play defence limits the fun and experience of this game.

Retro Bowl college. Can we make it so we can Sim games?

Great game, minor improvements always possible. Love the game, I play it for literally hours every day, there just needs to be more variations with the receiving patterns. You can always complete a pass if you just throw it to a wr behind his db. Also running the ball is virtually useless, they should buff running the ball.

update the difficulties. please update the difficulties because dynamic easy and medium is way to easy like u go undeafeated, but the second you go to hard you can’t make a 50/50 pass and even if it’s a wide open man somehow the d will get it.

Update Broke The Game. Update or something broke the game, everything is in extra slow-mo and sees impossible to work around. Have tried restarting, pausing, etc. and it’s still stuck in slow-mo.

Needs Exhibition Game. This needs exhibition game too

Make game simulations. The game would be a lot better if you could simulate the games because after about a season, I find it gets boring

Question/statement. You guys should make it that we could play defence, like you choose one player for the drive or something like that But otherwise I love the game

Conference Realignment. Game is great. The new conferences for the 2024 season haven’t been updated in the game yet, but even still, I think that with the unlimited version you should incorporate realignment, like if players wanted to add/delete conferences and shuffle some teams around.

Love the game but having a bug. One of my favourite games. Unfortunately I’m having a bug where I can never access the store. I would like to purchase the unlimited version but it always says I can’t connect to the store because I need a stable internet connection even when I have one. Please fix

Finish the Trifecta. Retro Bowl RB College RB CFL (coming soon?)

love the game, need simulation matches. game is amazing, love it more then the normal retro bowl but we need game sim!!

This games great. But it definitely needs a sim button for the games

Hockey. Make a hockey one please

Nice game but needs improvement. I find the game really good but I have a list of things that would make it better. 1.Stadium logo: Players can import logos that will be showed at the centre of the field 2. End zone customization: Name of the team or players could import their own 3.some sort of screen shake and loud crowd noises on bigger and more hardcore stadiums 4.specific chants for teams 5.ui improvements in postseason (bowls) 6.bowl customization Players can import their own bowl logo for these special games 7.better recruitment (more walk ons and more interesting recruiting) Thank you

Goated. Goated

Bugged. The game is good but every close position the ball just teleports to the defence like it happened twice in a game. That’s the only reason why I dislike this game, but it has also sold me a lot so boohoo.

Retro Bowl Hockey. Make a Hockey game next.

Help. Shi not letting me back into the game idk wats happening legit logs me out when I click on the app

Sim engine is broken + No new update. When u sim on easy, the other team usually scores like they are on extreme. Just lost 43-7 with my 5 star team because I wanted to make a realistic tune up game. The fact that we haven’t gotten any updates that.make this game playable again is unfortunate. Make this game more like hoopland with pro days, Spring games and transfer portal. Overall a good game but details like those would give it 5 stars.

Wish there were a Retro CFL. Great game, but I wish there was a Retro Bowl version for the CFL.

CFL retro bowl. We have retro bowl, retro bowl 26, and even retro bowl college. As a CFL fan, it would be awesome to have a CFL retro bowl with the team and the format of the game. Ex: 12 players on field, 20 yard end zones and shifted goalposts, wider field and 3 downs. This would be awesome even if I have to pay for it. That’s my idea.

Not as good as its big brother. Not true

Recruiting class. There are glitches where the next class couple classes are really bad and stay really bad if this could be fixed that would be great.

Sim option - otherwise I love it as much as the OG. Subject basically covers it, but the game is great and I definitely see myself sinking hours into it, already bought the full version. But a simulation option, the same as the first Retro Bowl , is needed to progress the game quicker.

Suspensions for low grades breaks the game. 1) There is nothing you can do to stop players from having low grades, except bench them. Which aside from being silly, is a mechanic already present in the condition metric. 2) there is no facility to improve with coaching credits to make GPA degrade more slowly, or improve more quickly. 3) there is no way to improve grades of a player who is suspended. You just sit there and hope for the best. Combine this powerlessness with the fact your players are often out 3-5 games or more with suspensions and the game is broken. All your other efforts are for naught. Moreover it is unrealistic. I just played the last reg season game, the CFP semi and championship without my best WR and RB. In what world would that happen? And they’re out the first 2 (and counting) games the NEXT SEASON as well. Will they be out 3? I don’t know—I gave up. And you will too. Stay away until this is fixed.

Love every aspect of this game, but one suggestion…. I have played Retro Bowl and Retro Goal for years and absolutely love that you finally put out Retro Bowl College—I love the new challenges of managing the team, recruitment, GPA, everything. The only suggestion I have would be to allow for SIM games like the update to the original Retro Bowl allowed. When you’ve got a top 5 team and play one of the low ranked schools it would be nice to speed up the season. I suppose that’s just because I really enjoy the management aspects of the game. Thank you so much for developing this game that allows me to unwind for a few minutes every day after work!

Very addicting. This game is a masterpiece and I can honestly say it is the only game I play every day. Gameplay is simple yet really smooth and the in depth detail as far as team customizations and so on are great. Only things I could suggest be added are a trucking move, more catching animations, and the ZIG route added to the play concepts ! I think the zig route would add more excitement to the plays. Also if the max running speed could be increased and the Qb throwing power could increase to 40-50 yards I think the game would become even more exciting with more explosive larger plays! Overall, very great game and one of my all time favorite mobile games. Hope for more updates in the future !!

Good game but... This game is good. I say it’s even better than the NFL version. The only problem is I wish their could be more teams like LSU. Hopefully in the near future they can add more college teams. Also I hope they will make more plays. If they make more plays it would be better to play on offense because almost everyone already knows the plays and how to score or get a big gain off of them. I also wish for there to be reverse options, reverse passes, and quarterback read options added. I think if they add those plays it would make the game more unique and playable. Thank you.

Pretty good game, some balance issues. This game is mostly a copy of Retro Bowl, except converted to college instead of pro. Same game, slightly different team management. It's mostly bug-free. There's the occasional receiver who turns and runs away from the ball instead of toward it. And it has some balance issues, especially higher difficulty. The defenders are so ridiculously fast that as soon as you throw the ball, 3-6 guys will immediately run from 10-15 yards away and all get in front of the receiver before the ball gets there. Unfair interceptions like that are the game's biggest problem and the reason I ended up dumping the app. The game is unplayable on hard difficulty due to that issue, but on medium, my receivers can make 50-75 yard TDs repeatedly and are almost untouchable.

Almost great game. I have played the original retro bowl for 2 years and I was excited that this came out because I wanted a college one. Before it came out I made my own college version in the original retro bowl and it took me at least a month and I got all the jerseys down I even looked up all the hex codes to make it perfect and I was expecting the college jersey to be right and their not for example, LSU is light purple and gold “very light”, Indiana has orange jerseys and blue jerseys, and auburn is blue and yellow? I could fix it on my own but that would only fix my problem and not other peoples. Secondly where’s the transfer portal or NIL? It would make it more fun and more interesting. You should be able to hire recruiters to go scout areas like south east, central, north and all that stuff. You should add new faces to the RB college and regular RB.

Pls have a way to get players mid season. Amazing job so far keep up the great work. Just a few suggestions for future updates. 1 Can you pls add a walk on menu where in it you can see walk ons interested in coming to you’re school in the menu you should also be able to schedule visit which would make the recruits want to come to you’re school more if you win the game there scheduled to see. Also you should be able to persuade players to walk on by paying CC or by winning games there scheduled to see. Thank you for considering my suggestion keep up the good work.

Good game but-. I feel like there are some things that could be fixed or improved. That would make the gameplay feel a lot more diverse and different from the original game retro bowl. First I think it would be cool if instead of “Retro Bowl college“ in the middle of the field to have a team logo as it would make it seem like you were playing a different team every time and it doesn’t get repetitive same with the end zone. Second, I think it is a little sloppy to still have the non-used slots of jerseys that every team has, instead of if the team doesn’t have all four jerseys to just keep it with that and not have those weird jerseys even available. Third I don’t know if it is a glitch or on purpose but I think it is weird that some of the players have smaller arms than others, as this did not happen in the original game.

Conference realignment pleaseeeeee. Ok, I love this game. The OG Base game jerseys sucked but I don’t mind buying the unlimited to fix it. I enjoy editing all the jerseys and even making sick alts for my favorite teams. Also, why does my dynasty team play teams that they wouldn’t face IRL? I’m a Pitt fan, and I had to play at Indiana for 7 seasons before I finally got my dream offer from Pitt. But why is my Pitt team playing Colorado State? That matchup would never happen in real life unless it was a bowl game. And also, we should be able to realign conferences as we please. The Pac-12 doesn’t exist anymore!! I really enjoy this game but New Star really needs to step up their game. I’m not gonna be able to buy CFB 25 so if I’m gonna have to play this, at least make it accurate to the CFB world we love so much.

It’s okay….. I mean a great concept, retro bowl was amazing and adding a college concept is actually very cool. The reason it’s a 3 star is because of some things I’ve noticed that are kinda frustrating. For one, FUMBLES. Period. My team has 99% morale and aren’t tired what so over, so why do I get multiple fumbles almost EVERY GAME. It’s kinda of annoying. Two, it’s very annoying to manage GPAs every year if I don’t have the chance to have my players study on their bye weeks. And paying 25 cc every year to maintain a solid GPA is very annoying. Three, if a FCS upsets an FBS team they should get a bigger fan base or some sort of reward. And lastly having FCS teams and realignment happen throughout seasons would be pretty cool. If some of these fixes/ideas get implemented would this an automatic 5 star game like the original game. But I know this game just came out so I can’t be to harsh, other then good and fun game :)

Fun but tedious. The game is fun and you find yourself looking forward to each matchup as you improve your team and chase a national championship. However, the games glaring weakness, in my opinion, is the constant GPA battle. Apparently, according to this game, regardless of a kids personal make up, there are absolutely zero student-athletes in this game. You are constantly fighting the gpa battle, or having to defend your players. A good addition would be player personalities. Something simple, a player is a partier, a diva, or book worm, and that could all be included into the freshman admissions, resulting in a more compelling choice in recruiting. If a player is a partier, his gpa suffers, and so on. High team morale could help, or likelihood of going pro could help with a players gpa or the challenges with that player. Just a few ideas that would make this game better, and give it more longevity.

Best app ever! PERIOD!!!. If it weren’t for the original Retro Bowl, with its simplicity reminiscent of the late-‘80s that makes it 8-bit retro, this would be just that, but the rivalry is afoot! If not for New Stars Soccer—the developer’s other soccer game, which would be incredible if played in landscape mode, instead of portrait—I’d recommend the graphics be altered a bit to be more like the 16-bit Commodore Amiga-/Atari ST-style mid-‘80s player/manager sports games that became popular on those computers, with their Genesis-esque graphics/play and their keyboard-and-mouse management. Having played that game for a couple hundred hours, I spent the buck on Team Editor features as soon as the tutorial—which is good, even for RB vets, to learn how all the RBAA rules and college structure affect management and play—was finished...

Unpolished Copy and Paste. This game is a good concept but has not been executed in a good way. This is almost the same game as retro bowl but with the draft being replaced by recruiting, some new gimmicks like GPA, donations, conferences, different schedules, etc. But this is an unfinished product, many of the teams are unfinished uniform wise which takes away from the game and it lacks depth and any difference from retro bowl. The recruiting is basically the draft from retro bowl and isn’t anything new. Another thing is that you have to pay for premium again if you already had it in retro bowl. My advice: finish the uniforms and stadiums, link retro bowl and retro bowl college together so you don’t have to pay twice, and make it unique, fix the recruiting to be actual recurring (look at ncaa football 07 recruiting and implement something like that). Just make it unique and finished and it can become a good game.

Great game. The game plays great and my buddy and I are having a blast going between schools to rebuild programs or give life to ones that haven’t had success before. That being said trying to get all the achievements is annoying since I don’t have the luxury of spending money on non necessities right now and the perfect season either isn’t working or I don’t understand what it wants. I’ve gone undefeated with a conference and overall championship in all but 1 of my last 6 seasons for both Major and Minor divisions. However I am unable to get the completion for a perfect season. Other than that the game is amazing no matter what difficulty you play or how you design and run your team.

New Star Games, keep up the good work!. I like the game it’s enjoyable too but I feel like if I win the national championship multiple years in a row I should be able to move my current organization the the sec (we all know they are the powerhouse conference of cfb) also players GPA should go up during the off-season. It would also be cool if there were accounts so you can track your team to other devices as well as link college rb to pro rb as far as draft class goes and stuff(this would be sick). The game has lots of pluses but I know New Star Games will work hard as they always have to improve the experience and give us the best mobile game on the market.

Great game to freshen up some retro football! But…. This game is would say is definitely better than Retro Bowl. Even though I still like the original, this college edition is much more complex with rankings, and playoffs. However I have been playing this game for the past few days and I just finished a season and then closed out of the game. Before I closed out was the picture of my team showing that I won conference. Once I went back into the app, that particular game would not load and said there was an error and closed out the app. I would like to now out the developers could somehow fix this since I was starting to become committed to that save. So if you ca n look at this problem.. that would be great. Thanks.

Desperately needs transfer portal. Update: Over half my roster is upset and I’m constantly having to discipline multiple players every week. I’ll check back for later updates. This game isn’t ready just yet. Hard to make a decent roster when having to constantly discipline/cut players. Seems there is always at least one toxic player on my team and each week I have to discipline the player for something new (sometimes multiple players). Not to mention, I won the championship last season, yet received only $15k in funds which allowed me to add only one terrible player in the offseason. At this rate, I’ll never have a 4-5 star team at this rate. A transfer portal (similar to free agents on the NFL RB version) is an absolute must. Please implement ASAP because I’m about done with this version.

Transfer portal plz or potential to bring players with you when switching teams as a coach. I think it would be amazing if you could have a transfer portal and use some of your cash to sign people in the transfer portal but if this is too much to ask maybe just have it too where you can bring players with you when switching teams as a coach cuz when I have really good players on my team I do not want to switch teams so I end up never switching teams as a coach cuz I don’t want to lose my good players and have to get new guys that I haven't worked with and got really good

Please. This game is so much fun, I do think that it does have the potential to be even better. Adding a multiplayer ability would break the internet i think. Even if it costs money to unlock the ability to play it. Fighting for recruits with your friends or playing a buddy in the CFP would be insanely fun, and maybe adding a transfer portal as well, seeing a friend steal a player from your team in the transfer portal would be amazing. Like I said, the game is already amazing, but adding multiplayer and other things like the transfer portal and maybe conference realignments, plus the ability for FCS schools to become FBS schools would add so much replay ability to the game. Thanks!!!

Retro Bowl College. I love the game genuinely and the gameplay was amazing I really love the fact that we don’t have the option to get free agents because it’s a college so it’s just the students😂But one thing I wish you could put since it’s kinda like madden but a 2D and better version the intro for the game Retro Bowl College is beautiful and I notice it starts with “Down…Set hut” it got me an idea if you could put audio in it like when you start the game and every one lines up on the ball as soon as that happens the qb says down and then when you drag the screen to pass he says hut is really love it if you put that thank you Retro bowl creators you really make my day

Need some work. This game is very fun. But it need a lot of work done to it. Like there need to be a exhibition game mode for those multiplayer games. I thing there need to be a transfer portal or a scouting menu close to the end of the season. To make the game have more character they need to instead of the end zones saying “ retro bowl college” it needs to say the team name. What I think they should add in the coming update is that you can sign a contract to play team out side of your division like I wanted to play South Bend but I could not. It is a very good game and I give it a five star and I know it’s early development. This are just some thing to think about.

Good game, butttt. I believe this game is very fun. The mechanics are the exact same as Retro Bowl but the college ranking system and teams really add a new twist that is very exciting. The freshman class system is fun to work with, and the GPA requirements are fun to keep an eye. My suggestions for the game would be to have Juco players on the incoming players screen, and that they start higher star level but are juniors/seniors. My other suggestion is to have all players on a team at least level up once in the off-season no matter what, as in college players will develop a lot during the offseason. This will make the game much more realistic, because as of now it’s almost impossible to get any players above 4 stars.

As good as the original retro bowl but.... it seems like they just pushed out a college version to push out a college version. There are small details that show the game was rushed like none of the jersey colors being accurate. For example, Pittsburgh being yellow and purple and the Gators being yellow and black. Also, there not being a transfer portal (free agency) which could make the game as good as the original. Also there are schools who's names aren't correct like Duke being Durham. It might be because of licensing but in the Original RB the NFL teams have the same name. Also why are there so many freshman that are bald. The small details don't affect game play but they are nice to have since it shows the devs care. AMAZING GAME but the small details would be nice.

Love this game!. This game is fantastic. I play this game everyday and I can’t get enough of it. Although, the game is great I would make a couple changes. The GPA on players seems like it goes down way too fast. I have to bench some of my best players every like 3 weeks so they don’t get suspended. I even recruit players with higher GPA’s even if they aren’t as good as the top recruits. Another change I would make is the recruiting system. I feel like it’s too easy to get the top players of the class. I think it needs to be harder to recruit them especially if your record was bad last season or something like that. Players should be able to reject your offer. Other than that it’s the best game ever!

Fun game but…. I love retro bowl and seeing how good RB college was was amazing. But the game can sometimes get a bad feel and what is it about the 50$ budget that is not enough money for the players. I mean it is a great game but it has its flaws and problems. Now there is just something just downright wrong and cruel Dynamic mode it’s just not fun at all and I know your just going to be like that mode was in OG retro bowl. Yeah and I never played it. If you play a 5 star team on your first game then in week 11 you play a doofus team with a 2 star rating they will probably still have a good chance to win. Oh yeah and the other game you played was a easy one. But overall I think the game is pretty solid but because it has so many flaws I don’t think it’s better than OG retro bowl. That’s why I gave it a 4 star rating.

It’s pretty fun. I love the gameplay and whatnot when I’m playing the football matches, but there’s no excitement in the game besides the actually gameplay. There’s no recruiting, which I would’ve thought be a huge feature of a COLLEGE football game. The ranking system makes ZERO SENSE. I was undefeated and beat a #1 ranked Michigan, come to find out after the game they had only dropped down to #4 ranked and I had barely moved up 10 spots out of all the teams. Ridiculous. If they would do more with the interactive part of the game, it would easily make it a 5 star game. I also think a road to glory story mode would be super fun where you’re a quarterback, or WR, or a RB and you control only you. This game has so much potential, and I really hope they actually go somewhere with it.

Elite but three things. The is game is great and I love it. Probably my favorite game but I have 2 minor issues with the game. The first being that there should become 7 draft rounds, this really doesn’t matter but I think it would be cooler to have 7 rounds. Second I think that it is annoying how some of my players are suspended and then I meet with them but they are still benched, what’s up with that? I also think that it is too easy to win end of season awards and that they should be harder but they should also give you some coaching credits for coaching them. This is still a great game and I love it. Keep up the good work, Ichabob

I love it. First off this game is so fun especially for making you start on a team you don’t like to feel what it’s like irl but there is a few things I would think would make the game the best game in the App Store. First I think they should add flags or something similar cause it kinda makes it not realistic. Second I would love if they would let you choose to be a coach or player. Lastly I would absolutely love if they more people and the guys that are not star players are still names and I would also love if they would add more people on a team for free cause 10 people is just not good enough for me I would like the real number of players in the game. but other than that I absolutely love this game and would play it if I were you

Possibly my all-time favorite game. I love college football, I love casual gaming, and I grew up playing the old Tecmo Bowl games. Retro Bowl, both pro and college, combine all three of those things. What makes Retro Bowl great is games can be played in as little as 4-5 minutes and entire seasons can be played in just over an hour. The controls are simple and work equally well whether you’re using the screen or a controller; no more spending 30 minutes trying to figure out what to press and when to press it like with many modern games. I’m looking forward to future College updates given how much college football has changed in the past few months regarding playoffs, conferences, and transfers.

Great game. I like this game better than the regular version because feels like you have to work a little more to win. The only complaint i have about this game is that a lot of the team colors aren’t accurate and it would make better in my opinion if they were accurate. I like the yearbook feature but I wish it was a little bit easier to manage. I like that it reminds you to yearbook the player if you want but i still find myself forgetting. The last thing is it would be much easier to manage the team if the players GPA’s didn’t drop so drastically when you change the coaching regimen. Overall though this a very fun game and i definitely recommend it if your looking for something different.

Overall great, some features missing. The game is great. It’s fun and challenging. However there’s a few things that I’d like to see added or changed in the future that I think would make the game even more enjoyable. First of these changes would be some kind of redshirting system. Where you can bench a player for a season and at the end of the season that player gets a stat and potential boost. Another smaller change I’d make is I’d give all of the end of the year awards names. Instead of just “most outstanding college player award” just call it the “Bliesman trophy” or something. I also wish I could see all of the awards one of my players has won without having to look at the curriculum vitae. I really do love playing this game though.

Simulation. I love this game and every aspect of it. Always loved playing the original but when they added the aspect of simulation it made it even better for times that I just wanted to be a manager and build the team and let the players play. I would love to see that in this game as well but another thing is balancing both the simulation mode in the original retro bowl and if one is added into the college version because seeing a running back have over 2000 yards every season and quarterbacks having over 6000 is just absurd. Maybe a way to fix this is by separating regular season and playoff stats. Overall amazing game

Many things to say. I liked the game overall, but would not mind a few changes. Number one the players GPA score goes down too quickly so you have to spend lots of coaching credits in order for them to play. Next the games are just to easy until the playoffs. Also the rankings are messed up you can beat a team but still rank lower than them. In my opinion there needs to be a transfer portal in the game so you can pick up more players. Then the roster you should have a 12 team roster not 10. So on your offense you can have all wide receivers, quarterback, tight end and running back. So you can be improve on defense or add to offensive line. That’s all but like I said a great game.

Love this game!. I have been having an absolute blast playing this and talking about it with my friends while they play it, but I think it would be so fun to be able to actually play it against my friends. Like in online games of some sort. I have no concept of how difficult something like that would be, but it would be so fun. Where instead of it fast forwarding through the portion your defense plays you can see them go against your friends offense. This was just a random tangent, but I love the game, love playing and comparing teams with my friends, and hope I can play against their teams one day.

Broken. I prefer ncaa to nfl, ive played literally hundreds of seasons on retro bowl, even created college teams. Was so excited to see this game come out but sadly its a huge disappointment so far. I chose georgia tech as my team. I play on the hard setting. I expected a rough go but…in one season, my 2 star defense forced 3 punts. Yes, in a SEASON my defense made 3 stops. Theres also a halftime score glitch, i went into halftime with a lead and when the 3rd qtr began, i was now the losing team. Its very similar to retro bowl on dynamic setting where every game is just a shootout. Dont even focus on defense, theyre useless anyway. Also, if you have 4 players theres no way to fill out your roster because you lack funds. No walk ons? The developer did an incredible job with RB so ill stick around and hope for some improvements.

So close. This game could be great! It’s a lot of fun in-game and the gameplay is entertaining. However, this game is ridiculously difficult to start. You begin with a bad team, which is fine. However, when you’re bad you only get one coin a game. Then, after the game, you’re forced to choose between defending your player to the press (for the cost of 1 coin), or blaming the loss on him and making him toxic. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO I go on a streak, spend the 3 coins I made, and then the dynamic difficulty goes up and I lose one, meaning no profit from that game AND losing almost 10% fan interest per loss vs gaining like 5 for a win. It’s so unbalanced. All my players have GPA problems, so I assume a win streak will allow me to improve that. Nope. Once I win three (and need one more for a morale boost) I get told my RB is suspended for graded because I used him too often. OBVIOUSLY! If I didn’t I’d lose.

Add sim. I have played this game for so long now, you might even call me addicted. And when the college version came out, I was ecstatic. I love college football and am a die hard fan (go blue! Michigan vs everybody) I play both games quite a lot, but am a bit disappointed with the dev team. The game came out in September and we were promised many feature updates, and yet they have still only been updating retro bowl with features and all we have on college edition are “balancing updates”. Please devs, bring the college edition up to date with the original. I’m still even rating this 5 stars simply because I love the game and this would make this so much better. Thanks for reading this if you made it this far.

Good but a few things that just make it really bad. It’s cool and I like it obviously the old retro bowl is way better for right now partly for nostalgia and because it has so many cool features. I think you guys should add a skip game feature because it takes a long time to advance in the college edition because of the scholarship limit thing. Also you should be able to connect the two accounts so you can start off in college and then move to your actual team once you graduate that would be a cool mode and a rivalry system. For the most part the game is awesome just some small things that needs to be worked on. Retro bowl developers please respond to this because I want to see what you have to say!

5 stars but I have some things that you should add. Transfer portal so I can get more players. Also I think you should add a way to move conferences, and I think that I should be able to pick whatever school I want cuz I like to do rebuilds with any team I want. I also think that I should be able to try to convince juniors and seniors to stay instead of just relying on luck and I would like to choose my non conference schedule so I can play the teams I want to play and make more rivalries. But overall a great game, good job new star. Great job. UPDATE- I would also like to change the color of the field. Example - like Boise state or coastal Carolina and also be able to red shirt and also be able to return punts

4 stars, but only for now. First off I want to say this game is very fun and very unique and you get to be one of the greatest coaches ever at your favorite college. The one reason why I didn’t get five stars is because I want to be able to edit the teams, but not says I can’t access the store because I need to be connected to internet. I am already connected to internet and it still won’t work. I tried restarting and deleting the app over and over to be able to get it. Nothing will work, all I need is some feedback on what to do to help this. Is it IOS updates or is it something else because people that I know were able to access the shop just fine.

Great Game ; one problem. Everything about the game is amazing and I love it … but there’s one minor detail that’s pretty crucial (in my opinion) the colors. Yeah there 250 teams but I’m pretty sure auburn isn’t yellow and blue. For Georgia that got the red but they used dark red witch is fine but then Mississippi state is bright red, that’s not ok. I know it doesn’t matter or change much but it’s just straight up wrong. There is a solution to this which is customizing each team for 1$ which I will do but it’s just a little update that I’d like. The game’s amazing and I’m sorry for complaining about the color of the team it’s just the little things … and my ocd but that’s beside the point. Thanks for making a collage version of retro bowl and keep on doing what your doing. Also can there be more then one touchdown emote.

So close!. So, the game is phenomenal at first. BUT by year 4 you start to have so many complications that you don’t get enough coins to fix. Players GPA’s drop so they’re suspended, injuries happen every game to the ones who’s GPA is fine, you have situations that ONLY negatively affect a player OR the team, and you don’t get all of the credits that you should (credits equivalent to fan ranking 1-3), players lose motivation and don’t want to play, facilities fall apart that you have to fix, etc... It gets to a point that all of the work you put in is just for nothing. It got so bad that I didn’t even want to continue playing the game AND THAT WAS ON EASY. Change the charge for everything you have to do OR give more pay out so you can come close. I get it, you want people to spend money on your game but dang this is a little ridiculous.

Very great game and has good potential. Retro Bowl College is an amazing game especially for on the go college football lovers. I play this game when I have nothing else planned it’s a fun and action filled game. I think it’s a little bit better then the original Retro Bowl game. One thing that I think would change this game is adding the Sim game button on here. We discovered in Retro Bowl that this was added and is still a pretty new feature adding it to Retro Bowl College may get more play time by people. I also think it’s a lot harder to get to new college teams. My favorite college football team is Texas longhorns I’m even a 4 and a half star overall head coach but still I can’t seem to get to different teams. Overall a great game to play.

Good but could use some work.. Is a shame that literally every week player gpas drop or something happens to lower team morale. At least on RB there was potential for good things to happen between weeks as well. Not enough Cap as well and no free agents or nil kind of makes it difficult to build a decent team. To go along with that; there should be a way to develop players in the off-season. I’m a huge fan of these games. 26 seasons in RB and on my 6th season on College. I reimagined the NFL into CFB on RB lol, so this is huge to me. Not critiquing, things I think would make it better. ALSO!!! If we could edit Stadium colors to match the colors we change the team to. Pleassseee.

The potential is there….. Retro Bowl and Retro Bowl College have great potential, but it just.. isn’t there. First, we need exhibition mode. I only play Retro Bowl to play between two colleges and both can be controlled. Exhibition mode is my favorite part of Retro Bowl, why not add it here? Second, can we please pick our own colleges? Rebuilding our schools would be awesome! We don’t like getting low quality power five teams like Vanderbilt. (Sorry to those in Nashville and are Vanderbilt fans, if it makes you better, I brought Vanderbilt multiple championships in this game) Third, the uniforms….. Why do I come across a purple Arkansas jersey? Arkansas is red. You did it for the Retro Bowl game, make the jerseys realistic for us please, however, I can understand, most people don’t want to change college uniforms, so I guess smart idea on NewStar’s part. Last thing, can the better teams (Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, etc, normally great recruiting classes) have better players? I don’t know why a 5-star recruit would want to go to Jacksonville State, that makes the rankings unrealistic too. Thanks!

Potential to be Great. I am a longtime fan of Retro Bowl OG and have played RB College since its release, but college somehow feels like an inferior version of OG. For starters, the consistent double negative events make it almost impossible to get any positive morale with the team. You are almost required to use coaching credits just to keep your team happy. Players do not develop at all over the summer or even gain additional experience like what is normally seen in football, they are basically the same player as they were the last time they took the field. Fielding a 5 star defense with a 5 star defensive coordinator grants little to no benefit over having a middling defense. The most egregious thing regarding this game is the fact that there is still no option to choose plays. Other than these few issues, the game is great.

Needs work. This game is great, not as good as the original yet, but there is need for improvement. Specifically, Recruiting isn’t good at all. It’s basically free agency, players cost to much and it’s a complete gamble whether there is even 1 5 star in the whole thing! In addition, switching schools needs work. I one back to back chips then transferred to a team I beat in the playoffs (that had a 4 star Offense and 3.5 defense) and they had a mid qb a “good” rb and 2 mid receivers. On the other side of the ball it was just as bad I don’t remember the specific positions but we had one 3.5 and that’s the best player. I forgot to mention this is Bama. I just think that a team like bama shouldn’t have this bad of a roster. Even now the tide has a great roster compared d to what I had. Over it’s good but needs a bit of work

5 star potential…. This game is fun and could be 5 stars with some minor improvements. The biggest problem is the difficulty, which affects replay value. Dynamic difficulty is too easy (I win the championship every year) but extreme difficulty is impossible to even win a game. A few other things need to be overhauled as well: -Defensive pass coverage logic isn’t very good -Recruiting is just picking players instead of them choosing to commit to your college (or another college for that matter!) -You ultimately decide if a player declares for the draft or not (instead of them deciding and you being able to sway them) There are also some things fundamental to college football which are missing: -Redshirting players -Transfer portal -Having a say in your team’s schedule Some other minor things: -I paid for retro bowl unlimited but weather is rarely different (I played a season as Montana state and it never snowed!) -Boise State should have blue turf Finally, two things I wish for as a diehard football fan: -Getting to play defense! -Calling / creating plays (which could help with the difficulty problem because you would be able to scheme guys open)

Fun-but this game is terrible. Let me first say this is one of the most fun games I’ve ever played! Its amazing! But let me also say I’m disgusted. Anyone reading this, don’t get this game. I don’t care how fun it is. The reality is, the game makers decide when you can win, and when you have to lose. You guys want to make us think we’re “building” a team. That’s a disgusting LIE. You aren’t building anything. You could have a five star defense and offense, and go up against a team with a one star defense and offense. But if the editors want you to lose, every drive the other team will score, and every drive you have you will either be stopped, throw a pick because your receiver runs away from the ball, or fumble it. Editors, make the game fair. I’m disgusted. It doesn’t matter how good your team is that you so called “built.” If you guys want us to lose, we will. It’s stupid.

It’s good but you need to add sim & mascots. This game is really fun a nice change from retro bowl (which is really good just after 75 seasons and like at least 50 retro bowls it gets a little boring, but you should definitely download) I just wish that you could have sim and interrupt sim and maybe 🤔 like custom arm sleeves and accessories that you can customize, Mascots, Like in retro bowl 25 make a college 25, adding jersey numbers, different celebration dances🪩and then make a basketball still fast paste one (both retro and college) and you will get the approval by me and mr moon 🌝 and mr moons approval is like better then “editor's choice” so make and you will be cooler 😎.
