Good start, Improve on a few things please. The game is good, I’ve been wishing for a college football version of retro bowl. I love the rankings, playoffs, and college teams. All I ask is that you add “sim” games just so I can get through the season quicker but also just clean up on when the season is over and you look at your season history I’ve the years. I feel like that could be more organized it’s kinda confusing looking at it. Also when players get awards, I wish it was like retro bowl where it shows how many awards that player received in each category. Just an idea it would be cool to have a game mode where we can make a custom college league and set how many games we can play or how many teams can be in the playoffs. Hopefully this review helps you guys! I love your retro bowl and have been playing since the beginning. Keep it up!!

A bit rigged?. Great game and I recommend it highly. However, as you play on there is clearly an algorithm that works against the player. I have it on both the phone and ipad, so play two separate leagues and I play often (I travel a lot, so it’s a tidy little activity while the plane is boarding, etc). In two unrelated experiences the game is constantly penalizing me with negative issues, sometimes two at a time (curfew, skip studying, etc.). The game clearly wants me to pay for more credits to upgrade, increase GPA, increase happiness, etc. Similarly, the whole GPA path is basically a pay to play/win scheme, in this case, sort of literally. You essentially have to pay to play your players. Otherwise, they are often on the bench. In my lifetime I don’t know if I have ever heard of a star player actually benched for academic reasons, while if I didn’t pay for grades it would happen to almost every player every season. That’s a bit much. Injuries as well. Finally, add a SIM button. All my offensive players are injured (another thing that has happened on iPhone/ipad at similar times), it would be good to sim the games without them.

Almost Perfect. I loved playing retro bowl and I personally bought the dlc so I could customize all the pro teams into colleges and made my college back in the day. When I saw that this game came out, I was very excited, and I was even more excited when I realized my school was in there: Virginia Military Institute. I was amazed by the amount of detail that went into this, it refers to the athletes as cadets while you play as VMI and it even rather than saying juniors or seniors it says 2nd class and 1st class cadets. That’s going above and beyond and I didn’t expect to see that level of detail. HOWEVER, you get the tiny details right but miss out on some very large things. For instant; the school is listed as Virginia Military Academy instead of Institute, and the shorter version provided is VAM instead of VMI. Also our arch enemy in football, The Citadel, isn’t in there (which is funny but I’m sad we can’t play them) I’ll just say that if the name gets fixed I’d come back and give 5 stars instead of 4, it’s a really fun game.

Great game but could be better. The original retro bowl was and still is an amazing game. As soon as I saw this game come out, I downloaded it immediately hoping for it to be identical to the original. However, when I got into the game I realized some major differences. First of all, there is no sim button which could help make the season go by faster instead of playing all 14 games. Second, there is no way to get players mid season. In real college football, players can transfer teams. This would be a major feature that could help season progression. Finally, the GPA system is a little bit weird. It keep all of your players in a game every week, you have to spend your credits to keep them in the game. I feel that you should only have to use your coins on a player once or twice every other season. Overall, this is a great game and I am glad that it is finally out. Some things could be better but in the future this game will grow immaculately.

I love this game but,. I love this game but, there are a couple major things missing, 1: A rivalry system, I know it may be complicated but if there could be something maybe in the team editor where you can assign a rival, and then the last week you play that rival should be a must in any college football game, 2: a transfer portal, I’m sure this is on the way but during the offseason you can select player that want to play for you with CC just like free agency, but only during the offseason, it’s not a necessary thing to add but it would be a great addition to give a team a boost, 3: finally, whenever player go to the draft and you over fill you scholarship fund I think it would be nice to receive some reward so what is for every 5k or 10k over the scholarship fund you go you get 1-2 CC to give incentives to have players declare early and give the player more chance to improve the facilities or raise the scholarship fund. Those are just some ideas I think would add a great deal to the game but still a great game, highly recommended to anyone

Outstanding.. You guys have really outdone yourselves. Before this game I would have given the other retro bowl a 10/10 because I didn’t know a mobile game could get any better. It’s an absolutely immersive experience that continues to blow me away 26 seasons in. On top of all this, the premium version is $.99?!? You can’t even buy a gum ball for that cheap in 2024. I only have one problem with this game, and it’s that I cannot, for the life of me, stop playing. I charge my phone to 100% and then play until it’s dead immediately. I fear that I’m going to lose my job soon because all I do is play retro bowl college and I really don’t care because nothing else matters to me. The only addition I’d make is a basketball version of the game- a “Retro Ball” if you will- so I can pay you guys more money.

Great game! Some small bugs and wishes…. I really enjoyed Retro Bowl but I may like the College version even more! Hopefully basketball, baseball, and other sports will be possible down the road! As far as bugs I have observed, there still seems to be some issues with how historical results are displayed in the head coaching profile, like incorrect final ranking, text character overlap, and conference names appearing and disappearing as you scroll through the history. Also, the “Achievements” list tends to glitch repeatedly when trying to scroll through. Lastly, I changed the divisional names from “Major” and “Minor” to “FBS” and “FCS”, respectively, but it is still not reflected in the historical results. Wishes: it would be awesome if a list of historical winners was added for championship games and bowl games, as seen in Retro Bowl and Retro Goal. Also, the ranking logic seems a bit unrealistic at times when considering win-loss records and victories over other ranked teams. Lastly, it would be great to see a happy medium between Dynamic and Extreme difficulty levels. At Dynamic Level 12, I can run/throw for 70+ yards on almost every play but I rarely see a play go longer than 10 yards at the Extreme level. And any more achievements and player records that you can add would also be fantastic! Thanks for making these great games!

It’s okay….. I mean a great concept, retro bowl was amazing and adding a college concept is actually very cool. The reason it’s a 3 star is because of some things I’ve noticed that are kinda frustrating. For one, FUMBLES. Period. My team has 99% morale and aren’t tired what so over, so why do I get multiple fumbles almost EVERY GAME. It’s kinda of annoying. Two, it’s very annoying to manage GPAs every year if I don’t have the chance to have my players study on their bye weeks. And paying 25 cc every year to maintain a solid GPA is very annoying. Three, if a FCS upsets an FBS team they should get a bigger fan base or some sort of reward. And lastly having FCS teams and realignment happen throughout seasons would be pretty cool. If some of these fixes/ideas get implemented would this an automatic 5 star game like the original game. But I know this game just came out so I can’t be to harsh, other then good and fun game :)

Great but the potential for more is out there.. I loved retro bowl. So when this came out, naturally, I loved this game too. It added so much to what was an already entertaining and fun game. But a thought recently hit me. Notice on how you can view where players are from when you click on the roster. It gave me an idea that, for those who payed for the add-on, we could customize what town, city, or maybe even country the players are from. It may seem a little far fetched until you realize that you can customize where each bowl in the game are is located. I love the game, it’s great to customize each and every character and give them their own little story. But this small detail can so much to the players and give them a personality of their own. Plus it could increase the number of people who’d buy the add-on so that they could also create their own players themselves. It’s just a thought. I’d like to hope this could get added someday. Otherwise, the game is still great to play. 7.5/10.

Fun but tedious. The game is fun and you find yourself looking forward to each matchup as you improve your team and chase a national championship. However, the games glaring weakness, in my opinion, is the constant GPA battle. Apparently, according to this game, regardless of a kids personal make up, there are absolutely zero student-athletes in this game. You are constantly fighting the gpa battle, or having to defend your players. A good addition would be player personalities. Something simple, a player is a partier, a diva, or book worm, and that could all be included into the freshman admissions, resulting in a more compelling choice in recruiting. If a player is a partier, his gpa suffers, and so on. High team morale could help, or likelihood of going pro could help with a players gpa or the challenges with that player. Just a few ideas that would make this game better, and give it more longevity.

Can’t pick College of youre choice - but why not?. I like this game. I also like the regular, Retro Bowl, which I played for years now. The main problem with the college Retro Bowl is that you’re unable to pick the college of your choice. When you first start playing the game, you can only choose from a limited number of low to your colleges. The question is, why? Why Is it structured this way? If the goal of the developers is to have the players work their way up, I get it. However, at some point, it’s simply ridiculous to prevent people from playing the college that they really like. If the goal is to prevent everyone from picking, for example, Alabama, and winning every game every year, well, then make it harder …. The real fun and joy of playing a college football game is the colleges themselves. If you can’t play the college that you like, then this game is maddeningly frustrating. To put it bluntly, as structured, it serves no purpose. To be clear now I have won multiple majors championships with multiple teams, including Nevada and Las Vegas – I won with Las Vegas two years in a row - Which should set me up as a pretty good player. However, most of the major college teams are still blacked out and I cannot pick them to play. Why? It serves NO purpose.

BEST GAME EVER But,. Retro Bowl College may be the best app I’ve ever downloaded. For College football fans, it doesn’t get better than this on mobile. It’s just like retro bowl but there are a few differences. First, seasons are 14 weeks, you get two bye weeks, and the playoff section of the season is a total 5 weeks long. The biggest difference is when people go to the NFL, they donate money back to your team, but they will not keep all the money. With the money you have left, you recruit players to your team. There is no salary cap. Another huge difference is you have to maintain your player’s gpas. If they drop below 1 or so, they can’t play unless it eventually goes up or you use coaching credits to make it go up. Overall, the game is insanely fun and very addicting. Every single college team including FCS schools are in the game. Some of the jerseys are off and some team names had to be changed for copyright purposes, but other wise, this is easily the best college football game I’ve ever downloaded on mobile. Maybe the best game ever.

Good game but-. I feel like there are some things that could be fixed or improved. That would make the gameplay feel a lot more diverse and different from the original game retro bowl. First I think it would be cool if instead of “Retro Bowl college“ in the middle of the field to have a team logo as it would make it seem like you were playing a different team every time and it doesn’t get repetitive same with the end zone. Second, I think it is a little sloppy to still have the non-used slots of jerseys that every team has, instead of if the team doesn’t have all four jerseys to just keep it with that and not have those weird jerseys even available. Third I don’t know if it is a glitch or on purpose but I think it is weird that some of the players have smaller arms than others, as this did not happen in the original game.

Some ideas. Maybe do the recruiting a little different have us fight for some high star players add a transfer portal also would like to see a spring game practice mode a few little mini drills make the game a little more challenging cus extreme is getting easy for me the ablilty to sim games let us redshirt players and have up to at least 20 players on a roster so it gets more of a college feel would love to see what you can do to add some read options also can we please get some pixel jersey numbers and we can edit the colors to make it a little more authentic and maybe add some way we can watch the defense play and call plays from the sideline also make the user defense a little better idk much I’m enjoying the game but a must need for me is mini drills to be able to upgrade players and definitely a practice mode where we can practice plays with or without a defense

Good could be great. After playing this one for a couple months now (8th season) I do like the challenge of this one over retro bowl. My biggest complaint is the gpa system and the fact that you have to use coaching credits to help those players. I think a better system would be a points system specifically for that. Which would free up coaching credits for other things. Like I said before I’ve played 8 seasons so far and haven’t been able to expand the scholarship fund yet. Which makes it feel almost pay to win driven (which I would understand because the game doesn’t have adds which is great). All in all they both are fun games but I do like this one better. A cool idea if you are interested: a game where you create a player and you follow that player all the way through from high school all the way up through to the nfl. It could even be a mode for different games. Like retro high school, college, and nfl. Personally I think this would be awesome.

Good game but you’ll be disappointed at the beginning. Good football game with lots of teams. Controls are a bit on the quirky side. It’s got that 80s feel to it but it could have better music. The biggest disappointment is at the beginning, where you’ll find that selecting your favorite team to start with is not possible. You are only given a select few out of a few conferences to choose. Paying money won’t change that either. It’s pretty messed up that you can’t even enjoy your favorite team without having to play 10-20 seasons before you get lucky enough to get an offer. I think being able to select your team without limitations is a MUST and because of that feature missing, along with a statistical leaders area, -2 stars. Sorry but I should have the freedom to choose what team I want to start with. Especially if I paid real money.

Almost there!. I give five stars just because you did a college game. Here are some more ideas. When an FCS team plays an FBS team, the FCS team should automatically be downgraded as it is highly unlikely although it does happen that an FCS team does beat an FBS team. Prepare for conference realignment as the PAC 12 is about to disappear so customization is needed. Would be great if we could do that on our own. Making a schedule creator could be useful but just for the team you control. You should be able to start with the team you want to play instead of playing a different program then hope a job offer comes through. Need more spaces for team names. 12 college football playoff begins next year so that needs to be implemented. Overall loving the game! Thanks guys. I know you will make it even better.

This game is great but minor improvements would make it amazing. First of all, this game is great. But it lacks some big parts of realism on college football. In-season recruiting-I cannot express how much this feature needs to be added. Due to having to cut a player mid season for partying and etc. I believe there should be a scouting/recruiting portal in the admin/facility page. In this portal, you will see seniors, maybe juniors in high school who have interest in your school. You can spend coaching credits to make them more interested into coming to your program. Once the interest level becomes full, the high school player will commit to your program. Even you don’t want to spend coaching credits, you should be able to scout players so you know what is coming from the freshman class of next year. For example, if my running back is a junior and wants to declare for the draft early, you can go to the recruiting portal and see if there is good running back prospect that you have scouted or players that are committed to you, if you indeed do have good running backs for next years freshman class, I would let them declare early. If not, then I would ask them to stay another year. Also a helpful attribute to have would be the ability to sim games like in the original retro bowl. Overall a great game, but I believe with a recruiting portal, things would get a whole lot better.

It’s the best college football mobile game but. Overall this game is been VERY fun but there is some issues. First is the gpa, my star players have to be benched for 3 weeks at a time at least 2 or 3 times a year. My biggest issue with the game overall is that I can’t change teams. In the original retro bowl, you would start with a bad team and once you won a championship, you would get tons of offers and after a couple championships you could go to any team in the entire league. In this game, they 8 FBS teams are the only teams you can play with. No matter how many champions I win, there is 0 offers. And it makes it less fun because there is no real motivation. The journey from Portland state to Georgia or Michigan is what would make this game elite. If they add changing teams, change the gpa a little and maybe make a slight tweak to recruiting. (Michigan and big schools start with a 70k cap while Portland state starts with 35k)

Fun game but…. I love retro bowl and seeing how good RB college was was amazing. But the game can sometimes get a bad feel and what is it about the 50$ budget that is not enough money for the players. I mean it is a great game but it has its flaws and problems. Now there is just something just downright wrong and cruel Dynamic mode it’s just not fun at all and I know your just going to be like that mode was in OG retro bowl. Yeah and I never played it. If you play a 5 star team on your first game then in week 11 you play a doofus team with a 2 star rating they will probably still have a good chance to win. Oh yeah and the other game you played was a easy one. But overall I think the game is pretty solid but because it has so many flaws I don’t think it’s better than OG retro bowl. That’s why I gave it a 4 star rating.

Problems and wishlist. First of all, I play this game more often than OG Retro Bowl, but it does have something’s I don’t quite like. Don’t get me wrong, I love the game, but I have a few things I don’t like and a few things I think could be added to the game. Unlike the original game, you can’t pick any college at the start, which is not very cool. I wish I could start out as a different team than say Wyoming. Another problem I have with the game is after I’ve won 4 major national championships in a row, all undefeated by the way, all in Wyoming, I didn’t get any offers from any “good” schools, just the same old bottom of the barrel schools each year. I wish they would add conference realignment, not random, but at the end of the season I should be able to manually realign the conferences. I think this would be so cool. I also wish they could make funding easier, it’s difficult to build a higher quality teams with the current system. Also a transfer portal feature would be amazing. Ability to add 12 team playoff? PLEASE!!!

A Must For College Football Fans. Let me just say I love College Football, and Retro Bowl is great, and Retro Bowl College builds on that legacy, but there are some problems. First off their are some uniforms that don’t match the teams at all like Florida, also there is a 2nd alternate uniform but it always just some placeholder for what could be there, and I know I could buy the unlimited version and customize but I really just don’t think it is fair to have someone buy that just to change a uniform. Another thing is that there is no transfer portal at all, and I think this game really needs that. My final thing is that I wish it would let you start as your favorite team, now someone else already said this but I like how you have to build your legacy, but at the same time I just want to play as my favorite team. In conclusion this is still a great Retro Bowl spinoff but there are things you can change, but the game has only been out for a week so I think everything I listed or some of it will come to the actual game.

Best app ever! PERIOD!!!. If it weren’t for the original Retro Bowl, with its simplicity reminiscent of the late-‘80s that makes it 8-bit retro, this would be just that, but the rivalry is afoot! If not for New Stars Soccer—the developer’s other soccer game, which would be incredible if played in landscape mode, instead of portrait—I’d recommend the graphics be altered a bit to be more like the 16-bit Commodore Amiga-/Atari ST-style mid-‘80s player/manager sports games that became popular on those computers, with their Genesis-esque graphics/play and their keyboard-and-mouse management. Having played that game for a couple hundred hours, I spent the buck on Team Editor features as soon as the tutorial—which is good, even for RB vets, to learn how all the RBAA rules and college structure affect management and play—was finished...

Great Game, small issues. First off, I love all of the “Retro” games you all have made. The depth of these simple mechanic games are incredible. I’ll probably never go back to the original Retro Bowl after playing this version. I don’t mind the GPA mechanic. It’s not hard to work around that. I never spent points in the original retro bowl on players so now I actually have to for GPA. I’d rather more focus go into how the rankings work each week. For example I started at Vandy and I played Georgia week 7. Both undefeated me #14 and Georgia #1. I beat them and Georgia remained #1 the following week while I only climbed to #7. I’ve noticed lots of rankings are weird like a 3 loss bama team or Penn St. will still be top 5-6 and one loss teams will barely be in the top 10. I’d recommend applying some tweaks there. It really breaks the immersion of the game. Also if a team doesn’t play in their conference championship at the end of the season it should hurt their ranking for the playoff. 3 loss bama shouldn’t be the #4 team in the playoff when they didn’t even play in their own conf championship. Again, these are small issues and I love the game just ideas for how you could continue to tweak it.

Seriously?. Ok, first I wanna start off by saying RB college is an amazing game and new star did a wonderful job. But I have one complaint, what the actual heck is up with the team colors? They are all so bland, (some teams not having a colored logo, strip on their pants, or sleeve) and I feel like new star is doing this literally so that your OCD has had enough and makes you buy premium to edit the colors because they are so annoying. I mean come on, Clemson Is orange white and purple, and they made it yellow white and royal blue. Come on new star, your better then that. Another thing is the fact that you have zero big games whatsoever before the playoffs. This makes getting into the playoffs itself way easier then it should be. Other then that, the game is awesome but I will be redesigning each and every Jersey color for each and every team to actually be somewhat realistic. (Doing your job for you)

Needs improvement. This game is such an amazing way to pass time. In my opinion, it’s better than the original retro bowl and I love the variety in teams, players, and so forth. However, I have some bones to pick. Primarily, it gets boring. Dynamic is simply too easy. I played on dynamic for at least 10 seasons and it was too easy to put up 40 to 60 points every game, or sometimes more. Additionally, hard difficulty feels too easy and impossible is impossible, which is how it should be. I want to play and not know I’m going to win every time due to an incapable opposing defense. I feel like all that needs to be done is to make the opposing defensive players a little smarter, so no matter what their skill is on whatever difficulty, the decisions they make are more realistic despite varying skill and athketiscn on different difficulties. When I play dynamic, it should make “tough” games tough. I shouldn’t be able to pass the ball for an entire game and guarantee an easy win. Make the players a little smarter and give it a little bit of the unpredictability of the real thing. Then you’ll have yourself a winner.

Awesome game, but needs some fixes/improvements. So, like many on this one, came from the NCAA 14 Revamped community. It’s GREAT. Completely worth downloading and buying if you choose to. The game play is easy to learn, the features are good for what I’d expect in a mobile game. And it fits the retro football aspect like it’s other versions. Great: game play, teams, features, college feel. Suggestions: the biggest thing that frustrates me so far is as you get hired by a new team, you don’t get that new teams “ratings”. You have to start completely over in your upgrades, which seems dumb if you are getting a “promotion”. Went from a good b12 team that was top 10 2 years in a row, to defending champ Georgia that was top rated offense/defense and upgrades. When i joined, i was disappointed to see 2* offense/defense and minimum program upgrades. It makes you not want to move schools essentially because you have to start over. Also, the recruiting is more of just “free agency” than recruiting. I think recruiting needs to be redone to actually do some recruiting. Follow same style as other things where you have to make decisions that affect your team, but it does it for your recruits. The pay to recruit is rough cause any good player is going to take up most of your budget. Pretty odd system

Great game! I also have some suggestions for the devs.. Ok first of A transfer portal which I know might be hard to make it would be sorta like the free agent portal in OG retro bowl. Second off please add rivals because well the only thing about it is that there would be some fun and challenging games. Third add a thing where if you know Oklahoma and Texas is joining the SEC in 2024 so if you have premium in team edit you can move teams to different divisions. Fourth add commitments because there should be commits in the early season so you know who is good that wants to be with you. Fifth add a thing if you have premium you can make the playoffs bigger example the FBS is expanding to a 12 team playoff next year so yeah. Well that’s all just if you see this reply and hopefully some of my ideas will be considered! Bye!

A Great Game! But…. Retro Bowl College is a fun and addictive football game that is almost identical to the original Retro Bowl, but with a college football theme. The gameplay is simple but challenging, and the pixel art graphics are charming. One of the things I love most about Retro Bowl College is the team customization options. You can choose your team's name, colors, and uniforms. You can also recruit players and manage your roster. This is a great feature for fans of college football, as it allows you to build your dream team. Another thing I enjoy about Retro Bowl College is the sense of progression. As you win games, you earn money that can be used to upgrade your stadium, training facilities, and staff. You can also use money to recruit better players. This sense of progression helps to keep the game interesting and engaging. However, there are a few things that Retro Bowl College could improve on. First, the game could use more variety in terms of gameplay. For example, it would be nice to be able to call custom plays or edit players' personal info. Additionally, the game could use custom sliders to allow players to adjust the difficulty level to their liking. Overall, Retro Bowl College is a great game for fans of college football. It is simple to learn but challenging to master. The team customization options are excellent, and there is a good sense of progression. However, the game could improve by adding more variety to the gameplay and custom sliders.

Great game but a few critiques. I consider this game better than the origional retro bowl, however, there are three things that i eould love to see added in the near future. Sim game option, abilities, and a more relaxed GPA system, first of all i think that sim game should come back from the original retro bowl,However, i would like to see a new adition called an Ability, basically something special about the player ranging from valedictorian that makes it easy for them to keep their gpa up to cheetah that increases their speed stat past the normal threshold. This is an ambitious ask but i feel that would let this game take a major leap and intrest people who got bored of the original retro bowl to trysomething new. My 3rd and final ask is a relaxed GPA system, it seems like all my star players need to be benched every other game just so they won’t be suspended. Those are some ideas goodbye devs of NewStar.

Great But Could Be Improved. I would like to start off by saying this game is great in many aspects, however, some mechanics could be tweaked to make the user experience near perfect. First, while having to manage the player's gpa, the only way to increase their gpa is by having to bench the player or use coaching credits. Even setting the training regime to low seemingly has no effect on improving player gpa. Second, the random events in RB College are mostly, if not all, negative. In my own experience I think I only experienced 3 events that in fact boosted a specific players moral. Most of the time the random events cause either a loss in morale, or coaching credits. I really hope that the developers tweak these mechanics because this game has so much more potential than where it is now. I would still recommend playing the original RB for now.

Almost unplayable as a dynasty. This game doesn't hold a candle to the pro Retro Bowl, for one reason: Recruiting and roster building is absolutely broken. There aren't enough ways to raise scholarship dollars, and the prices of players are too high... so you can't possibly build a balanced team. You either end up with one side of the ball being much better than the other, or you only have 5 or 6 players. The game also screws you when you take a new job. I moved up to the Ohio S. job. In real life it's one of the 5-10 best jobs in college football. The team was pretty well rated on the job selection screen. After I took the job, suddenly they were a disaster. I only had four players, with no QB... and somehow all the players who left only gave me $17K in scholarship money... and all the recruitable QBs cost more than that. So I'm supposed to play an entire season (and maybe longer) without a QB? That would never, ever happen. Especially not at a top school. This game needs a lot of work.

Needs improvements. Solid 3.5 stars but im rounding up. I have some pretty solid issues. My largest hope is that you could include a weight for the successful teams in real life. I hate Alabama, but they have been in the real life CFP 7/8 times. In my saved game, bama has been the bottom of the SEC since i got “hired” into the conference. Ive faced Rutgers in the CFP 3 times now. Thats so dumb. Fix it, please. I can get over all the other issues with that one fixed. It doesn't have to be super accurate, just the big boys we’re used to seeing. Georgia, Bama, Michigan, Ohio State… ect. It would be nice to see more of those teams come through undefeated or close to. That way I can crush their dreams! Also, i think it would be super easy to have the end zone show the name of the home teams university. This would be huge. Please add that.

Fun. Pretty fun and I like the game but it’s pretty annoying that I’ll dominate a game and still have to criticize a player for literally no reason. Other than that it’s fun and unique but it doesn’t make any sense that I’ll have a perfect game and yet the DL apparently didn’t do well so either pay up or make him mad. That’s a weird mechanic that I have no control over but I like the draft system and how it’s very limited with cash and options especially after you pick the first one. That makes it seem more real and challenging. I also think it’s slightly annoying that my players will sometimes fumble off of the kick off when I don’t control that either, it seems a little cheap and it only happens in very close games. That doesn’t have any part in my rating I like the challenge even though it is annoying. Replay system is a cool addition and it would be cool to add celebrations in cup games or bowls. Only thing I would like to add would be a better system of choosing plays. I understand that is a lot for a simplistic game and I’ll be clear that I do like the play system as it is.

It’s Great But,. This game is overall very fun and addicting to play. I’ve recently had the app for a week and have already played 5 seasons. Overall it’s a great but there are some key aspects missing. First of all, the transfer portal. This is a key part of the current college game. This would make it more fun because you would be able to switch teams and be able to bring them with you or instead of needing to get people who have never played you can get veteran qbs and rbs to help power your team and mentor the young players. Second, the GPA aspect of the game. I like the overall aspect of it but it is too difficult to get around. For example, you can be playing and after like 3 or 4 weeks your star player is done and potentially for the rest of the season. Also, you can spend credits on helping their GPA but many of us can’t spend credits every week trying to help players be eligible. Thank you for listening and hopefully you will help the Retro Bowl community make this game better and more fun for all of us. Overall, though the game is a very good game and very fun.

Almost great game. I have played the original retro bowl for 2 years and I was excited that this came out because I wanted a college one. Before it came out I made my own college version in the original retro bowl and it took me at least a month and I got all the jerseys down I even looked up all the hex codes to make it perfect and I was expecting the college jersey to be right and their not for example, LSU is light purple and gold “very light”, Indiana has orange jerseys and blue jerseys, and auburn is blue and yellow? I could fix it on my own but that would only fix my problem and not other peoples. Secondly where’s the transfer portal or NIL? It would make it more fun and more interesting. You should be able to hire recruiters to go scout areas like south east, central, north and all that stuff. You should add new faces to the RB college and regular RB.

Near perfect. The game is such a fun sequel to the original retro bowl, but there are just enough differences to make it a noticeably different experience. I think more players leaving during their Junior Years could be an interesting addition, as well as the installation of a transfer portal feature. The in-game sprite comparison between the original RB and RBC seems extremely odd- I took screenshots of my Colorado QB from RBC when he’s throwing and my custom team’s QB from RB when he’s throwing and the difference is very noticeable. The Retrobowl in-game sprites look more built and full, while the college sprites look like they’re starving. The college qb’s arm is one pixel thick! I’d love to see a mix of the sprites in the college game- maybe have the star players have the original sprite? I’m no game developer. Another complaint is a stupid one, but when I see a college like Northern Iowa called NIU instead of UNI on the scoreboard just bugs me- same with Southern California not being called USC. I wish having the premium in the original retrobowl would transfer over to the college experience, but I could understand why it wouldn’t be.

Great game! But one problem…. My experience with this game has been AWESOME. But it also has been a little frustrating. The best parts of this game is that the developers put the time and effort to actually include gpa, majors, and hobby’s which I thought was awesome. Also they included about every school that has a football team, even the minor ones. the one major problem though that I have had with this game is that half the time I don’t know what some teams are. Like for example LSU has just like the full name in and it’s not just LSU. So it takes time to go through and change very single team name to what they are exposed to be which I haven’t taken the time to do yet. But besides that one problem this game is already one of my favorite games and I am only probably two hours in. I already like it more then retro bowl. Besides that one problem this is a five star game and I highly recommend that you buy it.

Potential to be Great. I like how every game matters and that the margin for error to get into the CFP is small (unlike Retro Bowl, where it feels like all you have to do is make the playoffs to win the Retro Bowl). The signing process and scholarship cap also forces you to calculate and sacrifice more, and means you can’t build an all-out five-star dominate team, which keeps the game exciting when you play tough teams. The GPA meter is interesting, and I have no problem trying to maintain it during the season, but if GPA drops during the season shouldn’t it rise over the off-season? It doesn’t seem fair that a player’s low, end-season GPA remains the same the following year (did he not study during spring and summer semester!?). And a four or five star Minor team can actually be more difficult to beat than most Major teams, so there might need to be an adjustment there. And I’m still confused about how to maximize the prevention of fumbles, especially for running backs, who seem to fumble more than WRs and TEs. And, of course, maybe the ability to choose a few more teams at the beginning would be nice. Also, I never liked having to play the final game of the season as your first game as head coach; teams usually hire coaches before the new season, and I’d rather start fresh than be at the tail end of a crappy season.

Love the game!. I am a huge fan of the original retro bowl and this game is no different. If I could suggest 2 or 3 tweaks though. I don’t know if it’s possible but possibly a way to redshirt a freshman would be nice. Also if the team jerseys could be completed and made more accurate it would fix my OCD when selecting the team jerseys. Finally the thing I have more of an issue with is after a game, having to almost exclusively discipline 2 or 3 players makes it very hard to keep the moral up. I like the feature and I think it makes it more authentic to a college team, but maybe just dial it back a bit, or give an option to resolve instead of just discipline or ignore. Those things being said, I still love the game and I really like the differences implemented to make it stand out from the original game!

Awkward mechanics in the game. First off I love this game I have always liked cfb better than the nfl but have been disappointed in just a few aspects. First off I like how the game doesn’t let you pick the specific team and have you build up to get that offer, I have been an Ohio State fan for my whole life and the fact that I have to build up was kinda interesting but way too time consuming as it took me 9 straight seasons of winning the major to get me that offer. Second I think gpa was an interesting twist but I got my players gpa from a 1 to a 3 using coaching credits in the meeting and he still is benched? Finally I think it’s interesting how its much more difficult to become ridiculously overpowered because you 5 star players wont reach their potential by the time they’re out of college. I also think its weird how some jerseys are completely inaccurate since the teams don’t violate copy right, why was this not an issue in the original game, if you don’t know what I am talking about for example university of Illinois’ uniform is purple and yellow instead of the navy and orange, the indiana hoosiers are also like a texas orange instead of the dark red

Needs to be fixed and added!. This game is honestly better then the Nfl version in many ways, but on here you cant play more then 2 full seasons and it gives you a error page and makes u leave the game thats my biggest issue with it, there is some stuff that could be added, like make it so its more then 50k to start with especially without premium, make it so u can see how old they really are bc i mean u could be a freshman in college at the age of 24 u never know honestly, Could you guys pls link the 2 games together so we dont have to buy premium again bc they are almost the same game, make it so we can like see out old college players even if hes been drafted to the Nfl, like let us see his Nfl stats year by year, let us scot high school players and u should honestly make extreme a bit harder because now its boring and easy, thank u guys so much for these fun games.

Obviously amazing game but here are some suggestions. I really have a lot of fun with this game and the pros version of this game. But my suggestions is to find a way in both games to make extending the OC and DC contracts mean something. In both games I have never resigned a coordinator because I feel no difference in the plays my offense is calling when I have a 3 star OC vs a .5 star OC. I’m sure there’s a lot of people suggesting this but yea it would be great to find a way to play defense. Although I see how it would be hard to do that with the mechanics of this game. Maybe add a way to change the uniform colors lol. My local college has like pink uniforms in this game instead of thief maroon color. Plus our in state rival is not wearing anything close to what they wear in real life. It’s kinda hard to get used to. It be nice if we could alter the colors of the unis or if you did a update on the accuracy of uniforms.

Great game with small things to fix. I’ve been a fan of the bowl games for as long as I can remember and the developers are usually pretty good at making adjustments. College football is definitely a bit harder to manage due to the huge amount of teams, locations, bowls, rankings, standings, etc. I really do hope they can make it work because it’s ones of the best mobile games in our time. Issues I’ve noticed: ranking system is weird, doesn’t make sense at times; a lot of teams with the wrong names, and school colors (team editor helped for my favorite team); no way to maintain players GPA levels other than spending a lot of credits player by player each time (Maybe add option for investing in overall Academics); Other aspects missing is actual recruiting work not just admissions; the Transfer portal similar to Free agents in NFL version; having the name of the city or team in the end zone; other team being able to stop the clock with their own time outs; show the final top 4 teams in bracket form; finally implement some type of way to play defense and control my defensive stars. Great work to the whole team that has worked on this project. Hope it can continue to grow with a lot of support.

Needs to be more like the current college game. Love the OG retro bowl and have customized it as a college game for awhile now. So I was super excited for an actual college version to play but have found this one a little disappointing. First off, the gpa is weird as a lot of people have commented on so it needs to be changed where you don’t have to bench your players every other week. Once or twice a season seems more accurate. Second, where is the transfer portal and NIL? These are huge parts of the current game and could be easily modulated from the pro versions free agency and salary cap. New star needs to research this and add it here. It would be a nice wrinkle to have to match NIL offers from other schools between seasons. Third, why can’t you start at the school of your choice? I like the work your way up approach but also might like to pick my team for a different game just for fun. I want to be able to do both. RB is escapist entertainment and sometimes I want to escape by working my way through the ranks and sometimes by dominating with my fave team. Give both options. Finally, I don’t understand why certain parts of the game aren’t included. If you have kick returns why not punt returns? Kickers but not punters? Let us play defense! And actually see our defensive players we recruit in action! Let us have more players! 12 is not enough. Overall RB is the best sports game app hands down and my fave. Keep working to make it even better.

0 DOMINANT Teams?!… That’s Utterly RIDICULOUS!!!. In EVERY season that I’ve played?! ALL of The CFP Teams had At LEAST 3 but MOSTLY 4 losses. What kind of NCAA Football is that?! My 1st season at Vandy, I went 10-3 (losing only to UGA and Tenn). I was my division Runner-Up but EVERY CFP Team had a worse record than us. I had to settle for A Sugar (I think) Bowl appearance vs USC (we lost, in kind of a BlowOut; 45-28). I’ve purchased The Unlimited Version, 50 Coaching Credits and even 500 Coaching Credits because I play on “Dynamic” and I want to have A Competitive Edge. But I would like to see Power House Football Teams with Powerhouse records. UGA, BAMA or Ohio State SHOULDN’T finish 9-4 or 8-5 and be the top teams in their conference. That’s An OFF Year, for those teams. Oregon winning The PAC-12 at 8-5?! RIDICULOUS. Please, fix!!! Other than that?! GOOD Game. Change The UNREALISTIC PARITY and make The Powerhouse Teams actually POWERHOUSES?! That and adding A Transfer Portal?!… Will make “Retro College Bowl TOTALLY AWESOME!!!🙏🏽🔥🏈🎮💯

Great game. Boy is this an amazing game. This has to be the first in a long time when a sports game had a sequel and it was equally as good or better. I also love that there are no ads. There are a lot of games that are good but have way too much ads. Although it’s a great game it would be nice if there was a transfer portal. In today’s college football, it’s a major part of the game now and it would be nice if it was added. Another cool thing would be if you could change divisions and conferences. Say if you have a really good FCS team but, you want to go FBS. In this game you can’t. Also since the college playoffs are changing next year it’ll be nice if the changes are made. Even with these features not in the game, I love playing everyday and would recommend it to anybody.

Go Back to Retro Bowl(+). This game is okay. It adds a dimension to standard Retro Bowl, which means it’s not just monotonous football all the time. But, key things are missing — like transfers. The rates of walk ons aren’t high either. Managing GPA is also kind of ridiculous, as any training besides light leads to a rapidly declining GPA. But the biggest problem with the game, and I paid for the unlimited version, is that it’s still buggy. It feels like a beta game, so no wonder it’s free. I am in Y6 and stuck with the original team I picked. Why? Because I’m unable to improve my coach rating despite winning the Naty for several years. The lack of improved rating means I get no job offers from other schools. And my rating doesn’t increase because, per the developer who I emailed, I’m not at “a supposedly better college.” So, effectively, I’m stuck. I’m only out $1, but until this game gets fixed, don’t waste your time and money. As stated, the developers aren’t helpful either besides “please be patient, we’re aware of this,” yet the game’s been out for awhile.

Possible improvements to RBC. Phenomenal game. I have no gripes about the game, however there are things to fix about it 1. A rivalry system. Rivalries are one of the biggest things in college football, and allowing each school to play their biggest rival at the end of the season should be a must-have for a college football game 2. Transfer Portal. Another more recent thing about college football is the transfer portal. It should also come to where the Scholarship fund is kept by the school for the Transfer Portal 3. Conference realignment. One of my biggest issues is the fact that conferences are rigid instead of modifiable. Along with Conference realignment, we should also have the ability to add or remove conferences 4. Modifiable formations. Similar to Retro Goal, where you can modify how your players are set up, I think it would be nice if we could incorporate different types of Formations as our basic formations, for example Singleback formation on offense and 3-4 formation on defense

Great game but I see a few possibilities. First off I want to start out by saying I love the original retro bowl I’ve been playing it since it came out when this game came out I was very excited, I love how you have to start out as a smaller school and work you’re way up to get better offers or build the smaller school to a powerful program. But I have 1 small issue with the “Pro Draft”, when you’re players get drafted depending on there performance throughout college depends on how much money you get towards signing players to the team but the game gives you a max of $50,000 to sign players with which is a decent amount but it feels like if you do so well with players you should get a little bit more of a reward towards the scholarship fund, maybe a max of 75,000. But besides that is a great game 4 stars

retro collage. can you make so you can use it on laptop

Too many fumbles on extreme. Too many fumbles on extreme

Great game - minor changes. The game is great and I love the new features compared to the original retro bowl, although it would be nice to add something new to the gameplay such as being able to play on defence or having flags. It would also be great if you could see how your player is going once they reach the nfl, when they are tagged in the yearbook. For example it could say that they made rookie of the year or something. Overall, great game.

Great game, but a couple bugs perhaps?. Love the different dynamics involved compared to Retro Bowl (which is a great game). After purchasing the unlimited version, the 12 man roster option doesn’t seem to be recognised and stays as 10 in the roster screen, even if 12 is your options selection. Bug, or am I missing something? Also, setting the coaching options to light seems to drop the GPA values as fast as the normal setting. In one season my kicker (a junior) played in only half the games as the GPA sometimes didn’t improve after being benched, even with light training as the setting. As with the continual improvements in Retro Bowl, I’m sure the college version will get massaged too. Cheers for the great games!

Very decent. A few things. I was looking forward to a spin-off of Retro Bowl, possibly even a Retro Bowl 2. I had very high hopes, which were met with some joy. I am happy that there’s a little twists and changes here and there with the budget, GPA and more. I’m also happy with the attention to detail, like how you can see their majors and what they’re studying. In terms of gameplay, there is no difference from Retro Bowl itself, which is a slight disappointment. One of the overarching problems of Retro Bowl was it’s repetitiveness; you draft high potential, you have a decent season, you draft more high potential, you win the Retro Bowl. Even if it was a slight gameplay change, like penalties or flags being in the game. I didn’t mean for this to be negative in any way. I love the thought put in to this game, and I have really high hopes for the future. Thank you for this amazing game.

Retro bowl college. I got to second year and it was super different from the first retro bowl it’s a different game once you get to second year it goes CRAZY!! Mom hates I play this at DINNER AND SCHOOL. Instead of EATING AND LEARNING STUFF.

R. this game improved my ability to peel oranges

Love the game but having a bug. One of my favourite games. Unfortunately I’m having a bug where I can never access the store. I would like to purchase the unlimited version but it always says I can’t connect to the store because I need a stable internet connection even when I have one. Please fix

Great game, minor improvements always possible. Love the game, I play it for literally hours every day, there just needs to be more variations with the receiving patterns. You can always complete a pass if you just throw it to a wr behind his db. Also running the ball is virtually useless, they should buff running the ball.

Massive improvement on the original…but slow. Improves on the nfl version in basically every way, but menus and load times take forever compared to retro bowl and goal. Very frustrating. Simming through a game is also no longer an option.

Great Game but... I’ve been playing as Hamilton and everytime I finish a season and win my division as soon as I press continue on the congratulations screen the game crashes and gives me an error popup but when I close the app and go to load up the save file it just sits there loading forever and won’t let me back in.

Suggestions. They should make a retro bowl cfl

Question/statement. You guys should make it that we could play defence, like you choose one player for the drive or something like that But otherwise I love the game

Very good game. Maybe add an option to sim games but overall great game, its competitive and its fun. Im glad i waited for this game because its so fun.

Great But…. The game is great, but why can’t my defensive players get any stat other than tackles? I had a 4 star DLinemen for all 4 years and he ended up being a 5 star by the end of his college career. Yet he did not have 1 sack or any stat other than tackles

Suggestions. Please make simulating a option like in the NFL retro bowl also it would be cool to make your own plays and make a retro bowl for the CFL

Worst game I ever played224526. It’s literally impossible

Game needs work. Game is fun and addictive but with that you find many things that make the game annoying and borderline unplayable. For some reason I’m constantly playing with Neanderthals on my team constantly throwing the ball to the back of their heads. Or somehow just tossing straight to the other team. I get football games but this is more of a bug then anything. No one would be on a team that allowed footballs to be smacked across the back of their heads 😭

very good. very good very niceeeeee very good very nice

Great. This is a really fun game action packed and everything but the two main take aways are no simulate and in collage there is no free agency but there is a transfer portal so if you add transfor portal recruits this game would be flawless!!

Amazing. I would absolutely rate 5 stars if I was able to sim games.

Overall great. I love the game but the Provo team is purple and it’s blue in real life also it’s BYU Provo

Transfer portal. I love this game a lot! I’m not one to rave about games but this one is great, I only think the transfer portal would be a great addition. Mid season when a player is down or someone is cut for being toxic a player from a “minor” school would be a great alternative!

Trash. Keeps crashing after year 2

Question. Could u add sim games back i love the game so far

well man. so basically you have to buy team editor to play as note damn wich is think is just very dumb

Game won’t load. The game won’t load after you finish the first season and advance into the playoffs

Question. I’m enjoying the game so far but can you make it so we can simulate matches?

Great Game. This probably sounds stupid, but could you do a retro bowl where your the PLAYER and not the head coach, I know it sounds weird but it could be fun, and also a cfl mode would be nice in the other games too

Terrible Admin. I have reached out to the game developers multiple times about a bug that prevents me from playing the game and just says “loading”. They still have yet to respond or fix the issue. For now I give it a 1 star, I will fix it once the bug has been resolved.

Bug. After season 6 it gave me an error code so now I can’t resume my progress. So I have to start over.

Sim Games. 5 stars once we can sim games

Fun game but…. Game is fun like retro bowl and retro goal but im facing an infinite blue screen when opening a save that is about to go to postseason. Please fix and then this game would be 5/5

Yes. Amazing game I’m really surprised only right now 5 people have the game

Finish the Trifecta. Retro Bowl RB College RB CFL (coming soon?)

Definitely worth playing. For anyone who’s played retro bowl, retro bowl college is just as fun. I do have a pet peeve that also comes over from retro bowl. I finally get an offer from the five star team I wanted to hc for and their stats plummet and all of their players have toxic morales. It’s so annoying that I give up on my high potential team I have been building to have to start over when I was trying to get the 5 start team benefits. Other than that this game is elite and is so much fun to play, building your team up to five stars and competing in many bowl and championship games. If you’re good you will be competing in bowls with a 3 star team!

4 stars, but only for now. First off I want to say this game is very fun and very unique and you get to be one of the greatest coaches ever at your favorite college. The one reason why I didn’t get five stars is because I want to be able to edit the teams, but not says I can’t access the store because I need to be connected to internet. I am already connected to internet and it still won’t work. I tried restarting and deleting the app over and over to be able to get it. Nothing will work, all I need is some feedback on what to do to help this. Is it IOS updates or is it something else because people that I know were able to access the shop just fine.

Needs more tools. Love this game. It's awesome how many teams are in this game and love that it is only 1$ to customize players and teams. However, in college football there are NIL deals and a transfer portal. There could be scenarios where you can choose a NIL deal for a player which has different added boosts. There also should be scenarios where a player may think of transfering where you can spend some credits to keep them or let them go. There should also be more teams to choose from in the begining. Overall this game is great

Great game, but needs slight tweaks. First off very fun just like the original Retro Bowl. I still appreciate the $1 price for unlimited mode so you can customize team colors/name. The game also looks good, wish it was a little more bright though. Only critiques is that the sim button isn’t available but I’d assume that’s something that is coming in a update. Also the play calling gets stale and boring fast because of a lack of variety and lack of controlling what play is called. Other than that there isn’t much wrong with it. Morale does feel like it lowers faster than retro bowl but that might just be me.

Pls have a way to get players mid season. Amazing job so far keep up the great work. Just a few suggestions for future updates. 1 Can you pls add a walk on menu where in it you can see walk ons interested in coming to you’re school in the menu you should also be able to schedule visit which would make the recruits want to come to you’re school more if you win the game there scheduled to see. Also you should be able to persuade players to walk on by paying CC or by winning games there scheduled to see. Thank you for considering my suggestion keep up the good work.

An Amazing Sequel. I’ve loved Retro Bowl ever since I discovered it a few years ago. I’ve been watching the different content made and playing the game myself. But at certain points I’ve gotten a bit bored of the repetitive grind of Retro Bowl. This game reinstated that love. The new complexity of managing a college team is a nice refresher and I love the ways they make everything work. Gameplay is the same but it feels good not to see the same teams every game. Sure, it would be nice for their to be players on the other team (Their named and have stats like are players). But this is a great refresher and an amazing game.

New game idea. Now that you done college and you need a new place to get more money I have 3 good ideas 1 retro bowl high school: create a high school game with the playoffs running into the field with your states flag and play in Friday night lights. 2 Basketball game: make a basketball game with passing dribbling and shooting kind of the retro basketball game 3 Full app purchase on App Store Instead of having to but it on the game as it does not always work to buy the full game in the game just post another version but this time you have to pay on the App Store as it would be way easier which means more money for you

Good Game but definitely has a major problem. The gameplay is good and most elements of the college game is solid but the most major problem is easily the gpa. Gpa always decreases, which can be pretty annoying when half your team is suspended and you’re too small to have enough credits. As someone who used to play D1 football I can easily say that people don’t just fumble their grades weekly. Some people are better than others but in the end only a few players go on suspension per season. The Dev/Devs should definitely add a “Good Student” trait who can actually keep their grades up.

Too much cc has to be spent on GPA. First off. I loved Retro Bowl. So this was a no brainer to play. A lot of the same feeling but with college teams and system. Team Editor is nice to have. Lots of fun to play. However, I have two big gripes. First, and the most common gripe in most reviews, it’s the gpa system. It’s a bit unfair. I have to spend almost all my cc on gpa. It’s hard to move forward in the game without purchasing more. I don’t mind paying to unlock all the features, but I should only want to have purchase more cc, not have to. Also, having team morale go down to allow a player to study is kind of silly. Second biggest gripe. There are never any positive things that players do between games. It’s always negative. I have yet to be able to praise a player for playing retro bowl college in a team meeting. This is killing team and player morale. I don’t mind it being tougher than retro bowl was, but I am on year 7 and never a positive player option. Will update to five stars once these are addressed.

Good but a few things that just make it really bad. It’s cool and I like it obviously the old retro bowl is way better for right now partly for nostalgia and because it has so many cool features. I think you guys should add a skip game feature because it takes a long time to advance in the college edition because of the scholarship limit thing. Also you should be able to connect the two accounts so you can start off in college and then move to your actual team once you graduate that would be a cool mode and a rivalry system. For the most part the game is awesome just some small things that needs to be worked on. Retro bowl developers please respond to this because I want to see what you have to say!

great game but i have a few suggestions. first add sim games like original retro bowl, also this is for all the rb games, add an option to play defense. you should tap a player to switch to them before and mid play and movement similar to offense, tap the player to stop and instead of swiping forward and back to dive and stop you just start running that way, and another for both games is add starting a sim in a played game and jumping into a sin game. in the og rb i always sim games and ill be down by like 14 in the 4th and i just want to be able to lead a comeback. also add the start with favorite team feature, and finally add a transfer portal which is just the same free agency system as the original. but overall a great game and i like the realism in all the college stuff and i got unlimited and have all the real college teams and its awesome great game frfr

Great game but a few things I wish was added (would read). Let me just say it’s a good game and I play it a lot but there’s a few things that’s just wrong. First jersey colors, they just are not accurate to real college football and I want them to make an update for that. Second, Picking your teams, I got the game and I wanted to be my fav college football team and all there is to start are some crappy teams, I mean i have my fav team now but you need to do a lot of work. And this is some more stuff, Transfer portal, other scoreboards and more stuff.

Needs work. This game is great, not as good as the original yet, but there is need for improvement. Specifically, Recruiting isn’t good at all. It’s basically free agency, players cost to much and it’s a complete gamble whether there is even 1 5 star in the whole thing! In addition, switching schools needs work. I one back to back chips then transferred to a team I beat in the playoffs (that had a 4 star Offense and 3.5 defense) and they had a mid qb a “good” rb and 2 mid receivers. On the other side of the ball it was just as bad I don’t remember the specific positions but we had one 3.5 and that’s the best player. I forgot to mention this is Bama. I just think that a team like bama shouldn’t have this bad of a roster. Even now the tide has a great roster compared d to what I had. Over it’s good but needs a bit of work

An amazing game, but a few suggestions. Retro bowl college plays exactly like retro bowl. Many are ok with that! The game feels more balanced, as it’s hard to superpower your team from the draft as easily, as you don’t get guaranteed picks and money. The college overtime system is also awesome. I love how it plays. I could go on and on about gameplay, but the main appeal is the massive amount of college teams. This is done very well, but a big thing i’ve noticed is that there is rarely ever an undefeated team left by the end of the season, even barely a team with just 1 loss. This is very nit picky tho. That’s all i really wanted to say. More revamped retro bowl, great game!!

Let me rule.. Sure my first season was bad, but season 2 I won a bowl game, season 3 I went undefeated and won the major championship, season 4 I repeated for the major championship with my juniors. Now season 5 I’m not even ranked, my preferred team hasn’t even considered me once, and my fans started the season at less than 70%??? I’m obviously doing really well, I’ve had 3 dudes drafted in the first round and I’m probably the best coach in the country, but the game doesn’t reflect that at all, in any way. Do I have to do this for 10 years before I’m recognized? Or what?

Broken. I prefer ncaa to nfl, ive played literally hundreds of seasons on retro bowl, even created college teams. Was so excited to see this game come out but sadly its a huge disappointment so far. I chose georgia tech as my team. I play on the hard setting. I expected a rough go but…in one season, my 2 star defense forced 3 punts. Yes, in a SEASON my defense made 3 stops. Theres also a halftime score glitch, i went into halftime with a lead and when the 3rd qtr began, i was now the losing team. Its very similar to retro bowl on dynamic setting where every game is just a shootout. Dont even focus on defense, theyre useless anyway. Also, if you have 4 players theres no way to fill out your roster because you lack funds. No walk ons? The developer did an incredible job with RB so ill stick around and hope for some improvements.

OK but has potential. This game is fun to pass the time but has some infuriating elements. For one, the GPA thing needs adjusted. I get football players aren’t all geniuses, but they’re also not all dumb where half the team can’t play due to low grades. Secondly, the rankings need work. My team is undefeated and just beat a rival. I was ahead of them for one week and then that pass me? So I’m 9-0 and ranked 8th but they’re 8-1 and ranked 5th? And their one loss was to me? Makes zero sense. And lastly, recruiting players to fill out roster should be free if they’re low level. I get handing out money to the higher level kids, but not these 1 star scrubs. I can’t even fill out a roster and I paid for the upgrade.

Huge Fan. I love the original RB and played it countless times. Was excited about the college version and it is great, but the gpa thing can get annoying. If you’re gonna have it drop as frequently as it is than we need larger roster of stars to sub in (i.e. 14-16 man rosters). I’m no game developer but if that is not an option that I guess just make the gpa drop less frequent like some had suggested (make it force players to be benched 1 or 2 times a season). Also I’ve beat 3 ranked opponents including the #1 ranked team and I’m still only ranked 18? If possible make the ranking system more similar to actual ADP rankings ?

Amazing. I came into this game expecting it to be a copy and paste of RetroBowl, but I find it hard to stop playing this game and go back to the original. This game is an improvement in almost every way to the original, I went back to RetroBowl and all my throws were incomplete because the mechanics have improved that much. While the overall gameplay has stayed the same, it still feels refreshing and smooth. This may be a hot take, but I prefer RetroBowl college over the original RetroBowl.

Players are too hard to use. There is absolutely no way that players get suspended from having a 1.7 GPA that often. It seems every other game, my players are suspended and have to stay off the field for AT LEAST three games. Not only does the academic aspect perform poorly, but so does the scholarship aspect. It is all but balanced. You can only hold such a small amount of money, and you have to role with 1 star to even half a star players to have a full roster. This game needs to work on its player aspect. Original is better, but I like how there is more teams. I finally get to play my favorite football team 😊😊

All these people writing reviews are stupid. Nothing is wrong with the game also the colors are off BECAUSE SO IT WONT BE COPYRIGHT I DONT KNOW why other people are saying the colors are kinda off and why Indiana isn't red,BUT what I'm also gonna put on top of that is when you actually select your team you can't select all of them ITS LITERALLY THE POINT OF THE GAME. What I'm also gonna do to support that sentence is I would keep that feature because I think it's one of the best features in the game. Everyone writing reviews on this Great game are stupid and are wrong

New Star Games, keep up the good work!. I like the game it’s enjoyable too but I feel like if I win the national championship multiple years in a row I should be able to move my current organization the the sec (we all know they are the powerhouse conference of cfb) also players GPA should go up during the off-season. It would also be cool if there were accounts so you can track your team to other devices as well as link college rb to pro rb as far as draft class goes and stuff(this would be sick). The game has lots of pluses but I know New Star Games will work hard as they always have to improve the experience and give us the best mobile game on the market.

Great game, some changes needed tho. I loved retro bowl and equally love retro bowl College but something that is irking me is Washington State University being green not red. Our colors are CRIMSON AND GRAY not green and white. I’ve also noticed weird bugs in the game like after I swiped down the top of my screen to check the time mid game. For some reason after I did that the frame rate would drop every play and that hasn’t happened until I swiped that screen (on an apple phone). Also one of my games my ranking didn’t display but went back in the game after. All that aside, I still love the core gameplay and will continue to play for a long time.

Love it. I love Retro Bowl and when I saw this I downloaded it right away. A lot of the feedback I would give - wonky GPA system, lack of a transfer portal - has already been covered. Ways to earn more money for recruiting during the season would be nice too as that can be limited. However, after seeing what the team has done to listen to feedback to make Retro Bowl the awesome game it is, I look forward to the updates. I was wondering when I would find something that was as good as Retro Bowl, it figures it would be from the same team. Well done!

Should be higher. I would give this 5 stars but it’s pretty clear they decided to get a bunch of team names and colors wrong so people want to pay to correct things. That’s fine but just the volume of errors makes it also feel very lazy. Florida was yellow and black, Tennessee is red and white, tons of team names are wrong. Just charge $3 for a premium version where everything is right. I also got a very strange glitch after multiple OT where the other team went for 2 twice, enabling them to get 4 points on top of their TD before I got the ball back. It would also be 5 if this was the only version but they just took retro bowl, made some changes, and then released. Hopefully there will be a Retro Bowl 2 that is a step forward instead of a repackaging.

Best game!. New star is very nice company and I would totally recommend RB College over the the original RB. It has so many teams to choose from and you can always find a good team to start with. Most of the good teams though, you usually can’t start with you have to play a season with another team which I actually like better that the original RB. The rules for college in the game sort if differ so like some college rules are in it but some aren’t which I think could be tweaked a bit, but this game is awesome!

Love it!. Perfect CFB game. Has it all. It’s like you’re running whichever program you choose. Would love to have awards(Frosh/coach of the year/HEISMAN etc). Also- you’re as good as your record. When you tap on yourself to see your coaching history, each year only shows regular season record. Can this be changed? I had a year which I went 7-5, but won conf championship and bowl game to go 9-5. When I look at my coaching history, it shows me going 7-5 for the year. Just nitpicking but hey; 9-5 just looks better than 7-5. AWESOME GAME!!!

Good game, butttt. I believe this game is very fun. The mechanics are the exact same as Retro Bowl but the college ranking system and teams really add a new twist that is very exciting. The freshman class system is fun to work with, and the GPA requirements are fun to keep an eye. My suggestions for the game would be to have Juco players on the incoming players screen, and that they start higher star level but are juniors/seniors. My other suggestion is to have all players on a team at least level up once in the off-season no matter what, as in college players will develop a lot during the offseason. This will make the game much more realistic, because as of now it’s almost impossible to get any players above 4 stars.

Good game but... This game is good. I say it’s even better than the NFL version. The only problem is I wish their could be more teams like LSU. Hopefully in the near future they can add more college teams. Also I hope they will make more plays. If they make more plays it would be better to play on offense because almost everyone already knows the plays and how to score or get a big gain off of them. I also wish for there to be reverse options, reverse passes, and quarterback read options added. I think if they add those plays it would make the game more unique and playable. Thank you.

Good but could use some work.. Is a shame that literally every week player gpas drop or something happens to lower team morale. At least on RB there was potential for good things to happen between weeks as well. Not enough Cap as well and no free agents or nil kind of makes it difficult to build a decent team. To go along with that; there should be a way to develop players in the off-season. I’m a huge fan of these games. 26 seasons in RB and on my 6th season on College. I reimagined the NFL into CFB on RB lol, so this is huge to me. Not critiquing, things I think would make it better. ALSO!!! If we could edit Stadium colors to match the colors we change the team to. Pleassseee.

Desperately needs transfer portal. Update: Over half my roster is upset and I’m constantly having to discipline multiple players every week. I’ll check back for later updates. This game isn’t ready just yet. Hard to make a decent roster when having to constantly discipline/cut players. Seems there is always at least one toxic player on my team and each week I have to discipline the player for something new (sometimes multiple players). Not to mention, I won the championship last season, yet received only $15k in funds which allowed me to add only one terrible player in the offseason. At this rate, I’ll never have a 4-5 star team at this rate. A transfer portal (similar to free agents on the NFL RB version) is an absolute must. Please implement ASAP because I’m about done with this version.

Elite but three things. The is game is great and I love it. Probably my favorite game but I have 2 minor issues with the game. The first being that there should become 7 draft rounds, this really doesn’t matter but I think it would be cooler to have 7 rounds. Second I think that it is annoying how some of my players are suspended and then I meet with them but they are still benched, what’s up with that? I also think that it is too easy to win end of season awards and that they should be harder but they should also give you some coaching credits for coaching them. This is still a great game and I love it. Keep up the good work, Ichabob

GREAT GAME but I have a recommendation. Retro Bowl College is a GREAT idea and I love the concept behind it. One thing I’d like for the game to change is for recruiting, I’d rather it be bid offers where you could possibly do different things for an interest rate or something. Instead of it just being instant if you hit “recruit”. I’d also change if your a lower school team, it’ll be a lot harder for you to land 4/5 star players if the team doesn’t have good reputation or isn’t a Major school team. I LOVE this game tho and I’m glad it’s finally out!

Just needs a few tweaks. I’ll just get straight to the point. 1) you should be allowed to simulate regular season games 2) the uniform colors for the vast majority of schools is completely wrong 3)no option to play exhibition games like with your favorite teams 4) when you play rank teams those rankings don’t appear in your schedule review, not even your ranking at the time (so unless you remember every ranking there’s no way of telling) this is huge in college football and a mandatory 5) Having “Minor” schools aka FCS is not even necessary and over kill . Plus you guys didn’t even include all of the FCS schools 6) Super annoying how the “Minor”/FCS schools are rated higher (more talented players) than half of the “Major” programs which is obviously far from reality. 7) During post season play it gives you the results of the “Minor”/FCS playoffs but not for the “Major”/FBS. Why is that ? 8) The playoff tree branch for the Major teams is impossible to read . Trying to limit each game to just a 3 letter acronyms makes it nearly impossible to figure out who is playing who. This is not the NFL.

Great game but issues. First off this is exactly what I wanted from the regular version of retro bowl…. College. It’s perfect but I am having issues where some plays drops to like 3 FPS when I hike the ball. Also, another issue I encounter is when I won a conference hit the “Continue” button it froze and didn’t do anything so I closed the app and reopened my save but it stays stuck on the loading screen. So I am assuming it is corrupted. Other than those issues I am having a good time. Edit: They have seemed to fix this issue. Thank you for the quick response and making a great college version!

Colors. I am an Arkansas fan big time. I got this game and it was really fun way better than the nfl one but I was grinding for to get Arkansas I I got it but when I saw the colors I was furious! Purple! Our main color and only color is purple. How do you do that what makes you think purple! We’re red razorback red! Not patriot purple or something. How do you mess that up!? Like what were razorback RED so yea that’s my only complaint. But still fix you have every other team correct but Arkansas like what’s wrong with you. Also can you make the #4 or alt2 jersey not the same for every team pleas. Great game though just get the color right.

Retro Bowl College. This game has been one of the most fun games I’ve ever played. I love the college experience and I love the every little detail y’all included like the rankings. One thing I would love for you to add in the next update is new scoreboards. You could make different sports stations and have different scoreboards for them. Also two other things I would enjoy are commentators that could talk the game for a little bit as you play and my other suggestion would have other players statistics too like you could also see individual stats and team stats. Overall this is an amazing game and I hope it keeps getting better.

Freezes. I have played retro bowl for a while and was excited for this one, but after i completed my first season as a minor team, whenever i tapped on my coach the game would freeze and i would have to exit and go back in. Same thing also happened with the yearbook tab. I didn't care too much since I didn't absolutely need those tabs, but then it froze when it showed my teams portrait after the conference win. Whenever i try loading the save, the game just gets stuck on "loading". I also had Retro Bowl Unlimited and it's a shame to see that it doesn't carry into this as well.

Add a few more things. First off I love the game. Everything about it is awesome but every game has a problem, I think players GPA should be determined on their mindset(for example)like say the players background is Frat boy or a student council member coming out of high school that should help determine on if I should recruit this certain player and not only by skill. Also make development quicker we only get 3-4 years with the player. Another thing after I win a natty why is my team unranked the following year. But I like the effort y’all put in the game it’s very fun also one last thing, Add storming the field after huge upsets and halftime performances

Really good game but the colors. This is a amazing game for any collage football fan. But I do have a big problem with it. The team colors don’t match the real life ones! And I know it’s hard to make 100 and something amount of teams. Like I just transferred to my favorite team the Oklahoma state cowboys and are irl colors are orange black and white but in the game we are yellow and black. And the Arkansas razorbacks are supposed to be red but instead they look purple. It’s really just a pet peeve and can easily be fixed if I just buy premium but still could y’all think about fixing the colors.

Great game. The game plays great and my buddy and I are having a blast going between schools to rebuild programs or give life to ones that haven’t had success before. That being said trying to get all the achievements is annoying since I don’t have the luxury of spending money on non necessities right now and the perfect season either isn’t working or I don’t understand what it wants. I’ve gone undefeated with a conference and overall championship in all but 1 of my last 6 seasons for both Major and Minor divisions. However I am unable to get the completion for a perfect season. Other than that the game is amazing no matter what difficulty you play or how you design and run your team.

I LOVE NEW STAR GAMES. When I was scrolling through the App Store, I found this game. I immediately downloaded it, and I play it every single day. Tomorrow’s my birthday, and I’m gonna celebrate it with playing a BUNCH of this game. One thing that I’m hoping that comes in the future is Exhibition Mode, as it is in the other game, Retro Bowl, I’m excited to see it come. But one problem is when I went to the Athletics Office in Franchise Mode, my coach card was gone. It just showed my Offense and Defense Coordinators. I hope that glitch will be gone in later versions. What I’m finally gonna say is THANK YOU NEW STAR GAMES. I love the Retro Bowl games, and sometimes I even think it’s better than MADDEN.

The game is fun…but. I love the game but I’d probably prefer Retro Football to this. The idea of a college game is exciting but it’s so frustrating to play an entire season have 4 players leave for the pro draft and lose all their donations because you’re capped…give us a chance to raise the limit before we’re just out. Further there are other oddities like walk ons and accidentally losing my QB when I give the freshman a chance to be back up…but oops! Looks like he’s now the started because my other QB is gone. Fix these issues and I’d play more often…I’d even likely buy coaching credits but it’s not worth it with all the missed chances because of lack of warning or opportunities.

Almost perfect. I’ve played retro bowl for years and bought premium version so i could customize uniforms and make all the college teams because i prefer college over NFL. So when i seen this i was super excited and i love it way more than the OG. Only problem is the teams colors are wrong on most of them. Some uniforms are right but a lot of them are wrong. And i don’t want to re buy premium and go through the hour long process of changing all the uniforms again. Please can we get the uniform colors fixed to correctly match the real teams. Other than that perfect game as usual.

Great game but silly issues. I have always loved the first retro bowl. Played it all the time. So when I saw a College Retro Bowl I was hooked like crazy. But there are some tiny mistakes. First mistake is very minor but it is the jersey colors. Michigan St with light green? Iowa with purple? Its just silly and as a little tip; each color for college has its own number. You can edit the colors and put the number and ut will automatically go to that color, so I don't really understand why retro bowl editors don't just do this. And another error is the rankings. An undefeated Michigan is behind a 3 loss Tennessee? This happens a lot and I was hoping yall could fix this

Coaching credits. I just don’t like it how you have to constantly pay for coaching credits to do stuff for your team like gpa, moral, and team condition I truly feel like I shouldn’t have to pay 2 3 dollars every minute I play the game because I don’t ever have enough coaching credits to do anything like I think at this point the game is made that way so you can constantly make people pay for coaching credits also I wish you could do your players stat ratings I mean that would be an amazing feature honestly but other then that the game is amazing I really hope you consider what I said because most game companies don’t even care what there customers who actually play the game has to say

One problem. This being almost exactly like Retro Bowl is amazing and the gameplay is still just as fun even if your just playing as a college now. But there is one huge problem that I think everyone is annoyed with. Why is the GPA system so bad? My players spend more time benched then actually playing football. I feel like the best way to fix this problem is to make a library / study hall / etc. something you have to spend coaching credits on. Fix this and it will be 100x better. It’s hard to enjoy this game when half my team is benched because their GPA drops to a 1.00 in 3 games.

Awesome, but literally only one problem.. So this is a great game. The cheerleaders and band are a cool touch, and it’s even better than retro bowl in some ways. My only problem is that I don’t want to by unlimited again. I bought in in regular retro bowl, so maybe it’s just me but I think it’d be great if u could link rb and rb c so that u only have to buy unlimited once. But I also want to be able to pick whatever college I want to at the beginning of a save, just like in regular rb. Other than that, great job, this is a really cool game.

Best. Game. Ever. This is my favorite game, It brings the fun and excitement of retro bowl to college. The only things that could be better are: 1. Ability to make a format for example, multiple running backs, or more than 2 Wide receivers on the field at a time, like in retro goal. 2. Has to be easier to level up players, takes to long to level up a player to Max star level. 3. One thing that would be fun would be if you could hand off to running back and throw, not essential though.

Can’t Win Without Buying CC. The gameplay itself is very good but it’s a strait cash grab. You have to use all your cc on maintaining players gpa so they aren’t ineligible leaving you none to upgrade your stadium, practice facilities, rehab facilities, or extend your coordinators contracts. I have had multiple notifications that made me pay cc to keep star players, one of which confidently came the moment I spent all my cc on keeping my players eligible. Also almost every game I’m forced to pay cc to keep my players from becoming toxic. If I remember correctly I never had any issues like this with the original game. Fix this please I don’t want to spend my hard earned money on retro bowl coaching credits.
