App stopped working. My neo used to work with this app but decided to stop completely

Great, but could improve.. It works amazing as intended for this iPad, but when it comes to using legato Chat Link pro, I had to use my MacBook Pro to change settings from hdmi to analog for it to work for both MacBook and iPad. That feature should be added to this app as well instead of using a pc to do it.

App crashing because of audio. Need to be able to record microphone and elgato at the same time. I game and the elgato audio captures my Xbox but I cannot capture my microphone I also have hooked up to the m4 iPad. If I open the Xbox app and try to use the microphone on there at the same time the elgato app is open, the elgato app instantly crashes everytime until the microphone is not in use on any other app including voice memos

Works well!. This app does exactly as it says. I was able to connect the HD60s+ to my iPad Air and record video. One caveat I ran into… When I connected it with a USB 4 cable, it was only capturing at 6-7 frames per second. Once I connected a Thunderbolt cable, it jumped up to 60fps.

It’s not stable, quality is good. As an output audio device, it’s not stable. I am trying to use it to record a live production session - I am producing on a M1 MacBook Air, i have the HD60s+, and an M1 iPad Pro. When I record a song, and then listen to the playback through the HD60S+ recording, it’s fine. When I attempt to record, using the HD60s+ an output source, Ableton Live 11 Suite crashes. Additionally, on the iPad Mini 6 gen, the dark mode is broken, all the elements on the screen are the wrong color. Also, it has the same issue as the iPad Pro. I would love to use it as an alternative to needing a second computer, but in it’s current state, I cannot use it. I will be waiting for the update

Finally!!!. As a videographer, this is a game changer! Make sure you have a Thunderbolt 3 or higher in order to unlock all resolution the app allows. Ran into one issue where i have to reset the recording destination to the downloads folder every time I open the app. Very small issue compared to the positives. Thank you Elgato!!!!

Amazing and Crisp!. I wanted to record my video game consoles (eg. Wii U), and my laptop isn’t capable at recording at 1080p 60 FPS. Then I remembered that iPads can record over USB-C, and I downloaded this app. I recorded the gameplay to a external SSD, which is connected to an inexpensive USB-C dock. Since I have a M1 iPad Air, the footage came out great! Thanks Elgato!

Crashes, error 12743.. I have a 13 inch IPad Pro with the M4 processor, fully updated. I have allowed all permissions, and am unable to reliably record anything either to the local storage or an external drive. It seems that recording at 720p takes longer to crash than 1080p. Sometimes the clip saves, but usually it just crashes, leaving me with the error I referenced above.

False Marketing. The does not work for ipad 10th generation I used multiple usb c adapters to convert the el gato and I never got a signal.

Should add scale to fit. All works great except for sometimes having to force close app to unfreeze screen when starting a new connection. I wish there were an option to scale to fit the image because I use this app to stream my Switch to iPad and it leaves black bars on the top and bottom

Works pretty well, but some issues. The app works pretty well, but I have a few issues. I usually have to connect and disconnect the input multiple times before the app recognizes the input. Setting it to 4k when playing a lower resolution stream like from a Switch just shows a blank screen. The biggest issue is no audio passthrough. I get audio in the recordings but no matter what my settings are in the app or on my iPad, there is no audio coming through the speakers or headphones unless I record it and watch it back.

Unreliable and loses work. I can’t use this anymore - it’s too unstable and crashing with the same OSStatus error others are reporting. I am having this error whether I’m saving to Photos, iCloud Drive, or On My iPad. Sometimes it happens after 5 seconds, 5 minutes, 15 minutes. I’ve verified my Security settings are set to allow all of this access, yet this still crashes. Unfortunately this leaves me with no other choice than to use other apps as it’s blocking me proceeding with my project.

This app makes recording a breeze, but…. I love how easy everything is on the app but we are missing features and one of the most crucial features we dont have is the ability to record HDR like the PC app does, for that reason alone I will give this 4 stars and if they ever do HDR recording on the ipad then I bump it to a 5 star rating!

Completely broken. Absolutely nothing works. It gives an error whenever you try recording more than two seconds worth (OSStatus error -12743). This happens if you save to the iPad directly or on an external device (both APFS and exFAT). If you do listen back to the no-more-than-two-seconds of a video that does save, there is no audio. The pass-through audio also doesn’t work. Setup asks you about audio input but that setting is not respected. Running on an M1 iPad Pro

Supported devices. How come the 4K60 S+ is not compatible

Needs work. App is really unstable also I have a 4K X and a I pad with better quality resolution then 1080p I should be able to record higher

Useless. I spent $300 on an Elgato 4K X to record my laptop screen onto my iPad, only for it to no longer show me the option to record in 4K or 1440p. About a year ago I was able to record in 4K but that’s no longer possible.

Does Not Work With Xbox Series S. The user manual states you need to connect HDMI IN from the Neo into the Xbox Series S. The series S does not have an HDM1 IN port.

Useless. It doesn’t recognize any devices. Not even Elgato devices. Why is this even here?
