SUPERB with minor Audio bug in M1 iPad Pro. The game looks phenomenal with High settings in Quality mode on the M1 iPad Pro. The one thing i notice is that the Audio unsyncs in-between Scenes from the characters lips movements. However if you Pause and Unpause it fixes itself…. Maybe is due to the high settings (or not) but it’s definitely a bug right out of the gate. I am playing on 60fps at 1600p res. Textures no more than 1gb. Bloom and Lens flare off.

Incredible. I’m amazed at what I’m seeing. I get great performance with lighting settings maxed. I turned metal fx off and graphics and textures between medium or high .5. Get a constant 30fps and the experience with a controller is wonderful. Yes there are haptics that seem similar to ps4. There’s an insane amount of settings, it’s like playing the pc version. I run the game at 720 and find that with metal fx off and the other settings that the experience is very similar to console. It feel’s somewhere between ps4 and ps5 but at 30 fps. You can hit higher fps but at significant loss to quality. I think the trade off is definitely worth it and having played this game in psvr2 I think that iPhone 15 pro would be a solid way to experience it the first time. That oled and hdr goes a long way.

Expectations not met. I was really excited about giving this game a try. But the overall design of the controls is awful. My phone is not a console, and the controls are just unusable. It made it nearly impossible to play. there’s a reason I don’t play console games, it’s because of these controllers. Cannot stand them. and to see this on a phone is just ridiculous and terrible decision-making on the part of the team. I literally uninstalled the game about 15 minutes after I started playing it.

Honest review (iPhone 15 pro max). All settings don't matter you'll get around 30-45 fps with constant dips on lowest settings why even give us a 120fps option if the system cant run at 60 raising the graphics only lowers your frame rate maybe the game will get patched to run more smoothly at 60 then it'll be a great experience. Only good thing to come from this is the thought that a-lot of other games from publishers put their old less graphically intense games like Skyrim and tem-tem onto the apple store The fact that this game can run at 30 fps kinda is good hope for other games less powerful to run at 60fps (which should be the standard fps instead of 30) Would love to see all the mega man legacy collection games come to Apple

It’s RE8.. It’s a great port to mobile. Am I mad that I’m not getting to play this at 8k 240fps? No. I couldn’t do that on my pc anyways. But I am on my 3rd play through on my iPad so far and this game is amazing. Yes it has some bugs but to be able to actually play re8 and not rely on a cloud service I can deal with the bugs. If you’re a resident evil fan I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you get this. For the people complaining about having to buy the game after you download. REALLY? Why is that a problem? I would kill if every game that came out gave me the chance to play it before actually buying it. Stop complaining and get this now.

Wouldn't download. I launched and tried to download the content. After 5-10 min, the progress bar jumped to about 20-25% and then never moved again, even after leaving it for another 20 min or so (and i have a fast cable). 7+ GB? Really? And the virtual controls shown on the download screen (when you tap on the screen) are some of the busiest, most complex I've ever seen on a mobile game - they look like they were copied from a console controller. This is not a mobile optimized game - it's pretty clearly a console game that's been ported. That's not the way mobile games should be made.

W game. this game is good but don’t play this on touch screen bc you can’t really aim and the phone get really hot so i would recommend a controller if you want a smooth and reliable option but this game is overall pretty good is well made and the graphics and gameplay is super good i will definitely recommend this game to anyone without a pc. hope this help

Great port, but still early. I jumped on this game day 1 and it is Really good! I’m very impressed how well it runs at 900p and 1080p on my phone. All in all there’s a lot of potential here. That being said, I have found some day 1 bugs. Nothing too wild but if they clean this up a bit I have no problem giving this game 5 stars. I already bought the full campaign and the DLC because I have faith this is going to go well.

Play it in winter if you’re cold.. This is guaranteed to turn your phone into the perfect hand warmer. No longer do you need to do something nonsensical like running your hands together. Playing this game for just 30 minutes was enough for my phone to feel like it was ready to self immolate. The display dimmed after 15 minutes of gameplay with the default settings, which really helped since you already can’t see a dang thing in this game. Apple maybe should have considered putting a more robust cooling system in the 15 Pro lineup, but, alas, they didn’t. If you have a controller grip you’ll probably be fine (if you’re cool with 20% an hour battery drain) but overall I would recommend anyone choosing this as their way to play the game. Played on a 15 Pro Max for 30 minutes, got to the scene where the lady come over the radio asking about survivors.

Easy Performance Fix. For those experiencing slowdowns on A17 Pro devices, the solution is to disable MetalFX upscaling and instead use interlaced scaling and a 1.1 resolution render. First, and most important, this will mostly eliminate the seemingly random drops to 15-20fps that happens as you traverse around the game world. This is likely because MetalFX is heavily taxing the CPU, which causes the CPU to choke when loading new data as you walk around, resulting in large frame drops. Second, the game looks much sharper, though there is a little bit of aliasing and pixelation when moving about. Furthermore, with interlaced rendering, the HDR seems to look much better. MetalFX causes the black levels to appear more gray and washed out. There are still some minor frame drops on my iPhone 15 Pro but it’s largely 30fps with nice image quality and manageable thermal levels.

Onscreen controller showstopper. Biggest gripe with Apple has always been lack of support for serious gamers. I was excited to see that a game from my all time favorite franchise (Resident Evil) was finally playable on an Apple device. That excitement fizzled during the first 5 minutes of gameplay using the game’s onscreen controller - incredibly bad experience and absolute showstopper. I’m not willing to spend an additional $50 to $100 for a controller attachment (in addition to the in game purchase price to play the entire game).

Console quality gaming. Setup: Switch Pro controller on an M1 12.9 iPad The game runs like it’s on console and looks just as good. Yes, my battery drains fairly quickly and the iPad does get a little warm. But jeez, what a time to be alive. Current gen console quality on an iPad. Even if you don’t like resident evil, please support the next contender in the console wars. Consumers only benefit from options and Apple is finally serious🫡

Cool I guess. Took forever to download on my iPad. Took me a while to figure it out I’ve never played resident evil so it’s all new to me. And phew once you find zombies it can be intense at least for me lol. Don’t think I would play this on the iPad though. I may try it on the Mac sometime idk. But seems like a good game. It is pretty cool we can play these games on apple devices now. Oh at some point in the game it will cost money.

I'm impressed. Looks good, runs smooth, no complaints about file size or price. The phone gets a little warm, about like when it's charging, but that's hard to avoid considering how hard the phone chip is working. There is a minor delay with dialogue in cut scenes, but that's a small issue. Overall I'm impressed and hope to have more titles like this in the near future.

I respect the effort but…. While I applaud CAPCOM for bringing this to the iPhone and iPads, there’s still a lot of issues. First, there is no full screen mode when using the iPad Pro extended desktop. Next, the controller only display’s information for X-Box controllers. This is really a no go if you’re using a PS5 or Nintendo controller. At times the game feels sluggish even with the settings turned down. The camera is hard to turn and aim due to choppy issues in frame rate. Now issues for players who purchased this on the Mac App Store. Resident Evil Village is not a universal app. Meaning not only do you have to purchase it again, the save data from iOS and iPad OS will not work with the MacOS. And achievements in Game Center are tracked separately.

Good game. Keeps crashing. I’m still playing the demo and haven’t bought the full version yet. I was reading other reviews a lot of people were saying it crashes during gameplay. So as I was playing myself I too experienced the same problem. I really want to buy the full version. But I don’t think I want to put money on this if it will keep crashing. Just hope the problem can be fixed

Almost perfect!. Game runs extremely smooth and is beautiful on my 11 inch M2 iPad Pro with 8GB of RAM!! I can’t imagine how much better it looks on the 16GB of RAM that the larger iPads have. Love the customization options, love the fact that it doesn’t take me 2-3 days to download like it does on my PS5 and Xbox Series S (I have horrible internet). My only issue is the black bars on my iPad, I wish I could play it at full screen just like the iPhone and just like how genshin allows on the iPad. Much more satisfying and immersive experience. Again, LOVE the customization options! If apple keeps pumping out AAA games and release them day and date with the consoles/pc then I feel no need to run and grab a gaming pc!! Hopefully Dragons Dogma 2 comes & arrives on the release date! Would love if apple started creating AAA story driven and multiplayer exclusives of their own👀 you know, to prove just how seriously they’re taking gaming now..wishful thinking

Well…. It’s functional but bad first I choose from all the presets to just see the range of what the 15 pro max can do and honestly they didn’t look at that different balance and performance were basically the same, plus the game froze on the screen although I could hear myself moving and opening menus and it force closed on me once, honestly if you wanna play around then go ahead since it’s free up to a point but don’t buy the full thing. If I didn’t already have a console to play it on I’d rather go buy a new one over playing it like this

I don’t think some people are seeing the big picture.. The fact this is on a phone is a milestone in gaming! First, on the main page it recommends to use a controller. I use a backbone and it works and runs perfect. I do not plan on using touch controls. Second, graphics are adjustable and on certain settings can make you stop and look around. The phone for me at the settings I run does not over heat and if I max out the graphics I would expect it too. PCs and consoles have fans and they still get hot and run loud. Why wouldn't a phone with no fans? Yes, there are some glitches and some voice sync issues but nothing game breaking on my end and I am sure there will be updates and fixes. For the first at bat Capcom great job! I will show my support for the hard work that went into this. Already purchased and will be buying RE4.

It felt like it is basically an emulator version. I couldn’t help but feel disappointed when I tried the Resident Evil Village mobile game. It’s as if they’ve taken an emulator version and slapped it onto mobile devices, resulting in very low-quality graphics. The immersive and visually stunning world of Resident Evil Village from the original console version has been reduced to a pixelated and lackluster experience on mobile. What baffled me the most was the decision to lock the base game behind in-app purchases. It’s as if the developers are trying to generate more downloads at the cost of the players’ experience. Resident Evil Village deserves better treatment, and this mobile adaptation falls short of capturing the essence and quality of the original.

Resident evil village. I’ve been waiting for this since they announced it was coming to mobile I’m giving this 4 stars because only a small group of people can play this and the mobile controls are a bit difficult I come from call of duty mobile where I’m pretty good at it and this games controls just feel odd the full game is only like 15 I think so not that bad

It‘s so fun.. When I played on the computer, I was very satisfied with this game. When I learned that the iPhone 15 could play this game, I bought one directly to play Resident Evil 8. Feeling the great fatherly love from it can be said to be the best work of the Ethan series. It is exciting😵‍💫, scary 😱and scary, and is deeply loved by me, a Chinese player. I'm already looking forward to December's Resident Evil 4🤩🤩🤩

Would be Higher. First of let me say, I’m impressed with the current landscape of mobile gaming. Being able to play resident evil on the iPhone is great. However, it comes with its caveats. Personally, the graphics are great and it’s the mobile controls are understandable but a separate controller is definitely needed to play well. To keep this review spoiler free I’ll speak vaguely. The game is very unstable after finishing a certain boss fight level and cut scene with the merchant. It manages to crash almost every and leaves you unable to progress. Even if you manage to get past that scene it’ll randomly crash shortly after. I double even tripled checked to see if it was a Graphical issue but to no avail . I even re did the missions to make sure it wasn’t a case of a bad save file But at last it did not work. I hope they would fix the crashing Quickly as I’m not the only one experiencing this . Considering you’ll just have a unfinished-able game after paying Them .

Audio video not synced. 5 stars to Apple for bringing it to IPhone and all others who made it happen. I love the feel of having AAA game in my pocket witch such a great framerate and graphics. There’s just one issue that in cut scenes the audio and video are not synced at all. Please look into this matter and bring us more games like this

Amazing!. I cannot believe this game is running natively on a mobile device, after running my game for 30 minutes, 900p , medium settings, metal FX Quality, I had a stable and enjoyable gameplay! Looks amazing!!!!! I can’t wait for the future gaming on mobile. Assassins creed has my eye but this game ran beautiful for a mobile game. After 30 minutes my phone went to 46c , no overheating dimming or anything, and I dropped 12% battery. And I’m in a humid room that’s hot. Amazing.

Dear developers. Dear developers the game is amazing and runs amazingly good on both the M2 ipad and on the 15 pro max. Graphics amazing, my only concern is the buttons layout, its just terrible, there is not words to describe how awful it is, it takes all the screen even though I resized, two much stuff going on. The only way to enjoy the game is with an xbox or ps controller because your touch controller is awful. So for me now playing on the go is impossible with that terrible idea of yours. Please do something about it. Design touch controllers for mobile so we can enjoy the game on the go. I don’t wanna be on the bus or on the train playing with a controller. Is not ideal. For now you are only getting one star. When you guys fix the touch controllers. Definitely give 5

Amazing iOS port. Impressive Triple A gaming on your iPhone. Honestly this port blew me away. I had my doubts. But they were soon put to rest. Not only does this version include PC options (graphic presets and basically every other customization feature one could ask for outside of mouse and keyboard) but also support for HDMI to usb-c connection for a more traditional play thru make this an excellent return to form for not only Apple taking their gaming division seriously but also Capcom for leading the way on supporting such games. Looking forward to Resident Evil 4: Remake!

Audio issue. Im not sure if I’m the only one but the audio will not play on the iPhone’s speakers I tried deleting and reinstalling but still no audio. When I try to use wired headphones only the cutscene audio is delayed but normal audio like guns shooting sound good. This could be that I have my setting too high but I’m still running at 40-50 frames so that shouldn’t be an issue. Great deal as of now.

Incredible PC level port. When I heard games such as RE Villiage, RE4 remake and Death STranding were coming to mobile devices like the iPad and IPhone 15 pro I was incredulous. But since downloading it on my M2 IPad Pro I have been blown away. This is RE8, the full feature release with no compromises. In addition, the graphical settings to tailor the experience to what you want are amazing and up to par with anything you’d find in a PC release. The only thing is I would recommend a controller, as playing a game like this with touch screen is atrocious.

Color me impressed. The title ran perfectly on my m1 iPad at full specs, taking advantage of virtual memory swap. No slowdowns and full frame rate (I do have a TEC IPad cooler though, so I’m sure that made a difference. That being said the price is fair for the full game, and I look forward to downloading it again when I can afford it and checking the rest of the game out. Amazing work dev team.

Looks amazing on iPhone 15 PM. I have to admit it looks really good on the iPhone 15 Pro Max I have it hooked up with my controller and I just found myself completely and rapture in the game. I sat down for what I thought would be 10 minutes and nearly an hour later I was still playing it. It’s amazing what the mobile gaming has become, I hardly can think of a reason to own a console anymore.

4 stars - impressive but not perfect. I was very exited to hear apples new A17 chipset can run games like resident evil and AC Mirage. Playing this demo I learned that the default settings are not the settings any iPhone pro user would enjoy playing, lag and slowdown not only made the game feel slow but also led to cutscenes Audio desync. I recommend 30fps cap and bumping down the resolution to 720 or 900. I have yet to test 1080 but the resolution the game defaults to leads to bad performance.

Visually stunning! Controller is basically a requirement. I was impressed by how the game allows for all the graphical options you would get on a pc. Runs well on my iPhone 15 Pro, and I can tell that it will run even better as machines get faster and faster. The only thing is… you basically have to have a controller to player because the touch screen controls are terrible. I know this is a direct port, but they could have done a better job with making the controls more tailored for mobile. That aside, the game is fantastic!

Best game I ever Played. Beautiful graphics I don’t know what everyone is complaining about. You just gotta go through the game and enjoy it in the beginning you have to let everything download. Make sure you put your phone next to your Wi-Fi router for faster download. This is the best game I have ever played, and if you don’t like the game, don’t download it but don’t get upset on how the game works. This game is legendary. Congratulations to the creators.

Next step in gaming. The ability to download and play a AAA game and play on my phone is amazing. Yes, downloading and installing was a bit more complicated than normal. Breath, slow down - it’ll get there. I used an Apple dongle to connect the phone to the TV and play with a controller. Some lag present in the cinematic scenes and controls. Overall, I’m excited this is the way games are progressing and hope to see more AAA games make themselves available on the iPhone.

Amazing just need optimization. Played the game for a few hours, you need to buy a controller for the best possible experience. Overall the game runs smooth with some stutter time to time. Some in game cinema have the audio a few seconds off, I had to pause the game for the audio to sync. I rate the game a 4 stars at its current state, but once the game is optimized I will easily bump it up to 5 stars. It’s amazing to be able to play AAA game on an iPhone, I am excited to see more games.

Amazing!. Game runs great for it being on an iPhone 15 pro max. I used the backbone with it and it worked flawlessly. Default touch controls layout is not ideal but after repositioning my buttons, adjusting opacity/size and changing the aim to toggle instead of hold, it’s a completely viable way to play. Can’t wait for resident evil 4 and death stranding now knowing how well this runs!

Triple A Gaming Before US. One: I’m livid with the complaints after my best experience with this game that I’ve had from the Series S and Steam Deck. Do all of you own Series X, PS5, and gaming rigs? So far as I’m concerned, the critics can be ignored with prejudice. Two: Triple A gaming is now present and alive in the Apple ecosystem: Genshin Impact, Divinity Original Sin 2, Formerly Fortnite, Civilization VI, and Resident Evil Village. Three: This will help spur the upcoming gaming development now being advertised at present: Resident Evil 4 remake, Warframe, and so many more are coming, let’s not beat the major development company bringing much needed development to our platform while they bring something that was overdue from their competition, including one that abandoned us when they didn’t like the cut that Apple took out which is the same as the cuts that Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, and others take out. Four: Honestly, I’m inspired to see if I can make an honest go at this, seeing as I can now truly see what the platform is capable of.

Handheld Gaming Evolution. So far I am about 6 hours into this game on my 15PM and I must say this has blown me away. The experience of playing this game on my phone reminds me of the first time I played my Switch. A full blow Triple A experience on a small convenient device I carry around everyday. Don’t be fool you definitely need a controller but thats fine since I would much rather play with a controller. I recommend this game to anyone to buy and try. This really makes me hope that capcom and other companies start bringing more games over to the iOS platform. I would love to see Monster Hunter, Dragons Dogma, and SF 6 on here.

Needs optimizing. I have the 15 pro on Verizon not sure if carrier is relevant. I also have 256gb storage I’m sure that’s relevant. I tried playing this with my ps5 controller and the controls are so delayed in comparison to the ps5 version. Of course the ps5 is a console so I expect there to be a difference but this is suppose to be fully optimized for the 15 pro/max models and if it’s not optimized for my 15 pro that’s not great. I also played it with just the touch screen, I can’t imagine that’s the best way to play it but again it’s not the best. And I played on default graphical settings and mid range and high end and still experienced the same issues.

Huge download keeps failing. When you 1st launch the game it notifies you that a > 7 gb transfer is necessary to play. Its states not to quit the game or power off your phone. Problem is your iPhone by default auto-locks after 30 seconds as the game is not programmed to prevent this. Then we you unlock your screen and return to the app its has a network error. Restarting the download is not possible. I have tried this 3 different times now and increased auto lock time to 5 minutes. I wanted to support this game given its one of the 1st of its kind. However it really shows that Capcom is new to iPhone app development. Not ready for prime time.

A good game but I prefer to play on other platforms. It runs pretty stable 60fps I would say. But if you want higher quality then it starts to get a bit sluggish, still very enjoyable though. I tried the demo on iPhone 15 pro max but ended up getting a steam version because I find this game really fun! If you like mobile experience, this iOS version is completely fine. The fact that it now runs modern AAA games is amazing! Really looking forward to RE4 and death stranding now!

Amazing!!. Finished the with the touch screen controls and i love it! Had to move around the layout a bit and play with the graphics settings in order to get the best out of it. I am impressed with the game and how my iPhone 15 pro max handle it! I cannot wait for the future games that will come to iPhone been wanting this for years and its finally here and apple did it the right way! Ps tried the backbone controller and tbh i felt more accurate and had better response using the touch screen control than the physical controller. Thank you apple!

Runs great IPad Air 5. Awesome experience, but please make it so the time, date, and battery percentage go away at the top. It’s distracting and driving me up a wall. Other than that, this is awesome. You forget your playing in a mobile device. Game pad is a must! Edit - I finished the game and was maybe 25% finished with the DLC. I had to uninstall to free up storage space and after installing it doesn’t see my save game. It’s there as I can find it in iCloud storage. I created a new save, then over wrote it with the original, and it still doesn’t work. All of my progress is completely gone and there’s apparently no way to fix it…..

No problems here, pure awesomeness!!!. I adjusted the graphics to hit the sweet spot! I read a couple of reviews saying they don’t have the 120hz option on their phone? I have it so I don’t know what their issue is but I hope they get it resolved. My experience with the actual game is amazing!!! I had only a couple of fps drops but nothing crazy, I play with a backbone controller and it works splendidly! I’m so excited for the potential of more games coming to the mobile market. This is was something that was needed a long time coming to other options than the P2W games that have flooded the markets. One game, one price thank you! This game is absolutely worth it, especially if you have a controller.

Amazing. It’s crazy I can play this on my phone. Not only that but it runs and looks great. There are a ton of graphical settings too. Best of all is the price, so cheap even with the dlc. If you have an iphone 15 pro or pro max and like gaming, this is for you. This title shows that mobile is more than capable of AAA games and it can’t be ignored as a “console” any longer.

Not what was expected. I have played through both ps4 and ps5 versions on all difficulties and achieved 100%. I could only play through to were I was about to see the first view of the village after the beginning car crash, before the game crashed. The game audio doesn’t match up with the characters when they speak. I’m running a new iPhone 15 pro max. And the game struggles to maintain frame rate and stability. Two tests have been done to test both the highest resolution and frames etc. as well as the lowest. Both of which I’ve experienced game crashes and frame rate drops. With the graphics and all being at max. The game visually looks like it’s on a PS3. Hopefully there’s improvements going forward, and I look forward to seeing how things go for this beautiful game.

Great with an iPad Pro ‘M’ class & Dual Sense Controller via USB-C. Make an M1 iPad Mini!. Having played this on several platforms now. I can definitely say that iOS holds up well to the MacOS AND PC versions. It is responsive when using a Sony Dual Sense via USB-C and the upcoming ‘Gaming Lens’ mount. Sadly the ideal iPad for gaming that would compete well with small AMD gaming consoles like the Steam Deck, would be the iPad Mini, which was notably missing from any 2023 Apple events. With an ‘M’ class processor, 8GB memory & 256GB or 512GB storage, along with 5G connectivity, would make this both a cloud and local gaming “Elephant” to contend with. Otherwise, like the Goldilocks tale, running Resident Evil Village is either too big or too small on what it can be run on, with the iPad Mini being “just right” if it was available. Also, even the M1 runs hot and you can see the battery drain right before your eyes. I’d say 1-2 hours will be max on a charge. Of course you can run it charging, but then you lose the low latency USB controller connection. You can use a powered USB hub, but than you are left with tangle of cables, and frankly this is suppose to be a “mobile” experience. I guess the good thing is the competition doesn’t fair very well either for battery powered use. Overall, a smart direction for Apple. Oh and don’t forget ‘Alien Isolation’ also exist, and will run on the iPad Mini 6th generation too.

It’s resident evil but needs its bugs fixed. I’m a big time fan of the resident evil franchise and have been for quite some time now and was so excited when I had heard it was coming to iPhone 15, it plays just it would on a console I’ll be it with some rendering sacrifices but plays pretty smooth.. that is until it crashes on you mid game and you have to but up the app again, now I’ve checked to see if it’s the graphic settings I’ve choose and even set them to the lowest performance settings and it still crashes on me when playing mid game so please developers if your reading this may you please fix this issue as soon as possible.. I really wanna put it up there as a five star app but can’t due to how the game is behaving after having spent my money on this game

Almost Perfect Game!. The game it's self is really good, but if you don't know what your doing graphics wise, the game will crash. I have a iPad Pro 4th generation, with the M2 Chip and I wanted to test the limits, I put the settings at max for everything to test the M2 capabilities. It held the game really well at 120 Hertz refresh rate, but then 5 minutes in, the game reset the entire iPad. I would recommend adding a limiter to the setting menu, something like “based on your device capabilities, it would be best to put these settings for the best performance” and etc. and maybe add a ignore option for people to have their fun with the settings, otherwise you’ll be needing to go through each settings to see what the max is while the game runs smoothly. The game is awesome, the M series chip is truly powerful, but I think this game could run better on a MacBook M series chip. Something like the MacBook Pro with a M3 Max chip. But anyways, don’t set your settings too high or it might crash your entire iPad or iPhone 15 pro with the A17 Pro chip. Either way I’m still very impressed with how both chips handles the game at such high settings. The game is very good, and the gameplay is very well done even if it’s not at the max settings. Some adjustments is required to the game settings wise with performance, but story wise and device capabilities, I’m super impressed! I would recommend this game to my friends on both a desktop computer and IOS/iPadOS.

Console level Graphics on the go. Downloaded this the day I purchased the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The graphics are insane it’s like I have the PlayStation 4 in the palm of my hand.

Console like experience. I’m running the iPad Pro M2 with 1TB storage and 16GB memory. The game runs at max settings 2732x2048p with MedalFX Upscaling on Quality, getting 40 to 45fps. It’s very much a console like experience, comparable to the PS5 and Xbox Series X. There is a free demo version available to play right away after finishing downloading the game. I highly recommend trying it.

Good but needs some TLC. Good game, however I find there is lag and an FPS drop when there are more than three enemies on the screen at one time which makes the game harder to play and enjoy. Alongside this, when the lag starts the audio de-syncs and when enemies get close the FPS drops severely. Controls with the gamepad are good however the aim assist is almost non-existent despite the option being available (this may relate to the lag when there are multiple enemies). I’ll update this review after the next patch if there are improvements.

Can’t even play it. Constant crashing. Can’t adjust screen res in settings without it crashing the game. Using iPhone 15 pro. After about 5 minutes of gameplay the phone struggles to keep up frames and audio losing sync with animations. Eventually crashing again. Please fix

Running smooth on 120 fps. I am really excited not particularly about game but for the future of mobile gaming. iPad pro m1 can easily run on 120fps mode with full hd resolution. And upcoming m3 iPads will be much powerful.

No sound. Why can’t I get any sound? All other apps / games work with sound fine.

Great game. Great game enjoyable

AMAZING!. This the future of mobile gaming, never knew I could play this on my iPad Pro m2, completed the game with no issues on high setting. 🔥🔥🔥

iPhone 15pro plus and iPad Pro 5 gen!. Won’t download the rest of the files that is required to play this game? What is going on. Please fix asap so we can all enjoy this great game.

Fairly regular rashes iPhone 15 pro max. Find this crashes maybe once every 30 min, really annoying. If the issue is settings too high (maybe?) then why do you let users set settings that don’t work? Also all my choices were within the apparent abilities of my phone when I was adjusting the settings

Previously didn’t know how to dload files. I previously reviewed this poorly due to a UX issue (didn’t know there wasn’t touch controls to begin downloading files) - I’ve since been able to download the files and it’s an amazing achievement. Only giving 4 stars now as it seems to crash after about ten mins of gameplay consistently.

Where’s the rest. I’d play about 1 hour and the game was just good ( not perfect because of fps and graphics issues ) on IPad Pro M1 But after 1 hour the game ended and I wasn’t able to continue and faced to this message : You can purchase the base game via: Online Store

needs update. Phone gets hot after play a little while

Insta crash. Still crashing instantly on trying to start a game on 15 Pro Max.

My god!. Was a bit sceptical at first on how well it would run (iPhone 15 Pro). But from the get go, it’s astonishing. Graphics, animations and frame rate is top notch for a mobile game! I haven’t tried the screen controls since I have a controller (8Bitdo SN30 Pro, which is compatible with iOS) and would advise you to get one or similar. It does consume batteries so keep it plugged preferably. Also, if like me you have a USB C portable screen (or TV), you’ll enjoy it even more (magsafe fan is not a bad idea, if plugged to a screen). The game itself is engrossing from the start and will purchase it for sure. This is hopefully the beginning of more AAA games to come: great job!!

Crashes Constantly. Sadly unplayable due to constant crashes.

Some game bugs with FPS and Controller.. It is actually insane how you guys did this ……… this is the true mobile and iPad gaming experiences that we were looking for ❤️ . Some bugs I found in the game : 1- using 120 fps option form the sitings make the game run on 30 or less frames, meanwhile when using the auto fps option the game run on 120 fps on my iPad ( IPad Pro 2021 - 11 inch ) 2- while using a PS4 controller the game has a little bit of delay with the right stick on the controller ,but 0 delay with the other buttons. Thanks you Apple and Capcom for making this possible ❤️ .

Played on iPad Pro M2 and it was smooth. Hopefully Capcoms initiative will usher in more developers to port to ios and iPad os

Great game and well optimized for iPad. Good: -Very well optimized, I’m playing this on M1 iPad Pro and the game runs at a consistent 30fps with good frame pacing, 1920x1342 resolution with all high settings, I didn’t even need to enable MetalFX upscaling -Game is stable and well polished, I didn’t run into any bugs or crashes throughout my two full play through of the story -Good graphics, the graphical quality seems to be scaled down compared to the Mac/PC versions but it is still beautiful and one of the best looking on iPad -Full controller support and has controller vibration Bad: -Touch controls are awful as expected -Does not recognize my PS5 controller so all the button icons are Xbox controller ones, also does not have support for DualSense adaptive triggers or haptics (there is still vibration though) Overall this is one of the best AAA games I’ve ever played on iPad and I definitely recommend. Protip: I recommend playing this while plugged in to save the battery, also if you have a magic keyboard, plug it directly into the iPad instead of the keyboard charging port, otherwise the battery will drain while you are playing.

Doesn't work on my IPhone 15 Pro. For some reason I can install the app but I cannot begin the download to play it when I tap Begin Download - nothing happens!

显存也不够啊. 画质能开高,但是手机性能跟不上,闪退😦

I love this. I love the ambition here, and I hope that there are even more console quality games out in time for the m3 ipad.

how do you even play this game?. I’m stuck in this screen asking for me to download data storage and I try to but it won’t let me and Im stuck. Please fix this game.

RE Village Review. I got to say, back in the old days when iPhone 4 and iPod Touch were a thing, Resident Evil 4 moblie is a lite version of the console we know in love. More of a decade later, here we are: a complete full game of Resident Evil Village, playing on a M1 iPad Pro. What was the result of it? They really pull it off with this quality. I’m really impressed. However, playing on a touch screen, even on the iPad, is just doesn’t work for me. I should definitely need a controller in need to have a huge experience for it. What’s good also is the price of the base game. CAD$21. I was worried that they would charge the same price as the console because this was released a while back, but they didn’t. I recommend playing this game. It runs well, no issue so far.

Won’t load on start page. Exactly like the title says

Slick, but pricey being a port of an older game.. Since most RE fans already had this game on PS5/XB I’m not sure the FULL price is worth it, considering you have the ability to remote play —albeit black bars on the sides. On iPhone 15 PM it looks amazing in full screen, and works great w/Backbone (ver 2.0) controller. You have to tone down the settings a little though to make it run smoothly, if you max out GFX it can get glitchy. On sale it’s definitely worth it.

AAA games on iPhone and iPad. It would be great if touch control was optimized.

Phone is getting overheated. The game is good with good graphics and good gameplay. But a playstation level game is not good for an iphone. The phone can’t handle the high graphics. My phone was over 150 degrees F after playing the game for 20 minutes. Not recommending for any one.

Love it - but crashes and freezes a lot. Looking forward to the game getting more stay.

HORRIBLE IN IPHONE 15 pro. I CANT PLAY THÉ GAME IT ALWAYS CRASH ON ME

game running smoothly. i would recommend this game to play on ios it running good but in some areas it shutters and some people are saying it crashes maybe it is beacuse of the change in graphics settings just play on default it will run good

Très bon jeux. Je suis tellement heureux d’avoir un jeux de cette qualité sur mon ipad pro et j'espère qu’il en aura beaucoup d’autres. Merci 😃

Running smoothly on iPad Pro M1 but with no mouse/keyboard support. I don't use a controller and the on screen one is horrendous. I simply don't understand why there's no mouse and keyboard support especially on the iPad...

Good game. It’s a really good game of course. Never max out your graphics 💀

The controls are frustrating. It wasn’t fun to play with the finicky controls. It also doesn’t run great on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, framerate gets pretty low. Deleted after 20 mins.

RE Village is worth it!. I love this so much. it’s not like any other game on the App Store, that’s for sure, maybe alien isolation. This is a good port and a very smooth on the M2 iPads. I like that I can truly play with the graphics settings as well, it gave me freedom to make it as good as I could get it. very hard on ram usage for sure, but I’m sure they’ll optimize it overall and make it perfect then it already is. Just the amount of play-through I got for the demo alone was good enough to hook me in and buy it, especially with it being only $21 CAD right now during its release on iOS! Good job capcom, and to all the teams behinds capcoms, masterpiece of a game right here. Edit: the touch screen controls are very intuitive somehow, spite it looking like a emulator control scheme layout. Don’t let it intimidate you, it’s quite clean to use. But maybe capcom, could clean it up a bit, or make a dedicated touch screen control layout, like other popular mobile games out on the App Store. Edit; edit: after completing the entire game in under ten hours (9h51m), Id say I loved it completely. I played the story mainly and did a bit of exploring, but I’m now doing a second play through taking my time completely. especially bc I’m on a harder difficulty by choice now. I hope it’ll take nearly as long as it did before or longer for me to complete again. I plan on playing it on the hardest difficulty as well with all hud settings off and taking my time with completing the game at 100%, I hope that’ll be where the 20 plus hours of gameplay come in.

Not great, yet.. I played loads of games by Gameloft and it basically shaped an image of how mobile game should look like to me, so I am disappointed about CAPCOM’s “redesigned controller for players better experience.” Everything else is decent, is just that in my opinion they should have a proper joystick and shooting button instead, nothing is redesigned really, is just a horrible transplant from gaming console.

Can’t download data. Cannot download the remaining data

Game won’t start on M1 iPad Pro 12.9 1Tb. Can’t get it to load on my m1 iPad Pro 1tb 12.9 stuck on (iCloud Drive is not currently available. Please check your iCloud Drive settings, ensure it is enabled, then restart the application. Canceling application startup.) page… I tried to delete and reload the app 3 times…

great game, others are too stupid to get running. MAYBE TRY FREEING UP STORAGE IF YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD THE GAME IDIOTS

Crash. Good graphics and ok fps but the game is not fix I had some crashes in graphics increases proces I hope to fix this problem

Incredible feat but still keeps crashing even after the latest update. The game is lovely but it can’t keep playing for longer than 5 mins or so before closing out completely. So frustrating

Best. Anything in this game is absolutely great . Do not hesitate to buy basic game

Wild. It’s crazy that this can not only run on an iPad Pro, but it even runs well and looks well. I originally played this on my PC, but I think I would’ve had a great time if I had originally played it like this too.

App Options. Awesome on iPhone 15 Pro Max. Fonts in Options Settings are very small, please fix this

Stunning game but heats up. Wow thanks Apple for bringing AAA games to iPhone and iPad. Console quality graphics. You need a controller to get the full experience. My only complain is the heat. My devices warm up like crazy and battery get discharged quickly. Hope there is an update to address this issue. Thanks

Stuck at an error!. The game was working perfectly in my iPad Air up to a point in game where I can’t proceed anymore because a pop up shows up saying ”Game has not finished downloading yet” I have updated paid version of the game still it says that. Kindly get back to me on how to resolve this issue!

Perfect Port. Just finished the Castle portion of the game (several hours in) on my m2 iPad Pro, and the game looks and runs amazingly well. Absolutely no complaints regarding visuals, gameplay, and performance. My only complaint is that I can’t play it on the TV (either as external display or mirrored) while taking advantage of the full screen real estate. Would be really great if a display resolution setting was available that matched the external display dimensions rather than just the oddly narrow iPad display to make playing on a larger screen more appealing. Here’s hoping more developers release iOS games of this caliber. Pro Tip: Keep the iPad plugged in directly (not through the Magic Keyboard) while playing or you’ll be draining battery life pretty quickly.

POS. This stupid game wants to download another 8GB, yet won't download at all even on a 15 pro max

Doesn’t work. I can’t pass the initial screen where is supposed to download some data. Help please

Doesn’t work. Downloaded the game and it won’t download the large download it says it has to download before I can play the game. Won’t download it. 15 pro max 1tb, latest iOS. So far, completely useless.

Crashes on iPhone 15 pro max.. Can’t handle the graphics and crashes. iPhone 15 pro max.

Not bad can’t wait for other future games. So far I’ve played only the beginning and I have yet to purchase the full game, overall it’s not bad, try playing on the lowest graphics but keep it to at-least 60 fps or 120 for those on iPad. Controller is recommended but I got used to the touch screen gameplay as I’ve played Games like Call of Duty Mobile, Apex Legends mobile, PubG, Etc. Overall it’s an amazing game and with proper wifi connection, good skills, and some space in your storage capacity, this will be an overall amazing game! Cheers to the new era of mobile gaming! And let more improvements and games flourish! - From a long time mobile gamer.

Amazing. This is the beginning of a new era of mobile gaming.

Keeps crashing on 15 pro. In the preset under display settings, I just selected 'prioritize graphics'. No other changes in any graphics settings at all. keeps crashing at the same spot in the game. This is with 15 pro. All this hype of AAA games in iphone for nothing.

Runs well, makes me motion sick. I will rate it high because it performs pretty well and looks amazing but for some reason this made me motion sick which never happens to me and I played it on both pc and ps5.

Accidentally deleted the game and now I have to start over…. I was deleting apps off my Home Screen and I accidentally deleted it so I went back and reinstalled it and now all my saved data from before is gone. Is there any way to get my saved game back so I do t have to everything over again??

iPad M1 review. This works great on an iPad with the M1 chip. PS4 controller works and had no heat issues. Graphics are not jaw-dropping stunning. They are pretty good and for the small screen size it's hardly an issue unless you highly value visuals. There are lots of graphic settings, I believe most people can find a decent set up. No stuttering and super low latency with the controller. You can try the game for free before buying it. I highly suggest giving it a chance and see if it's something that works for you. This could be a start of something big if Apple follows through.

Constant crashing. I was excited for this release on iPhone 15 until I started playing and can make no progress in the game because it crashes every single time. I’m extremely disappointed with this release and the fact that no updates have been made to fix this issue. The game is unplayable in it’s current state.

Keeps crashing. Games keep crashing after update! Huge glitch after first winged key…the door takes more than a 1 minute to open and when you finally get by is a dark room and you fall into a glitch or crashes when you are about to open the chest to get the key. Dont buy until fixed!

Amazing. I got this game on PC and loved it. The game plays just fine at 2k on my iPhone 15 pro max, the controls aren’t the best but that is ok considering the amazing work that was done to port this game to iOS

Incredible on iPhone. It’s crazy to think you can play a high quality game like this on your phone that is in your pocket! Runs great and super smooth. Love that they let you try it before you pay for the full game

Probably the best game on the phone. I love resident evil games and the fact that they put it on the new iPhone is amazing I love this game and this is the next gen the way the game is played is amazing and how everything works perfectly I’ll say play this game

Return the prices to what they were. Peace be upon you, why did the prices increase? The price was very reasonable. I was collecting my money to buy the paid version, but you increased the price to $40. This is too much. Please don't be greedy for money and focus on user experience, not money. Unfortunately, you are all greedy and do not care about anyone

Nicely done. Works great, didn’t buy the full game and prob won’t only because I already beat/own it on pc. I would really love to see the re 2 and 3 remakes up here. I own on pc but would purchase those again because I love those ones!!! Please add more!! <3 capccom

AMAZING AMAZING AMZING. Great to see a real, I’m sorry, but “D” is currently driving. He will respond as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank You for letting him pay attention to driving. title come to iPadOS and it works so well. Yes, you need a controller - that’s the reality for any game worth playing. Looking forward to RE4.

Great port but…. I dont really have any issues with the game itself, it’s great, my only problem is how a game that was advertised to run only on the new 15 pro and pro max iphones still costs money to play. Just, for a 12 hundred dollar phone id wish we could get some games like this with it to advertise the performance of the iphone

Worked great until I maxed out the graphics settings…. The game when to a screeching halt so I restarted it and now it wont open. I do not recommend messing with the settings. I believe it is a PC Port and there are no limitations to the graphic settings so your IPad Pro or IPhone will fry if you try this. Hopefully they’ll put a cap on graphic settings.

I have a problem. Hi at the start of the game when I enter the village after like 5 to 10 minutes from the start the game turn off I tried to go in low settings and in medium settings and still have the same problem

Crashes right after getting into village. Playing on my new iPhone 15 pro and the game crashes before I can even get into the action right after getting into the village. I have tired to restart again a few times and it always crashes. Might want to fix the bug making it unplayable at the moment on the device you said it was developed for

Super excited even more disappointed. Unfortunately after I purchased the full game I am incapable of even starting without my game crashing I am going to try to delete and redownload but am very disappointed I am having to go through with this process to begin (yes I have an iPhone 15 pro with the second highest processing power an iPhone can have)

Well done. This game is phenomenal on my iPhone 15 pro max. Graphics are great and runs quite smoothly on my phone. However, I keep running into this issue where sometimes if I exit out of the game the screen will freeze and I’ll be forced to reopen the app

Good port at 720p only, otherwise very flawed. Positives - Great visuals - multitude of settings to tweak - virtual controller resizing - works with most bluetooth controllers - very resonsive touch controls - free demo Negatives - No options to turn off gesture camera controls, messes up with the movement/combat views which can lead to quick gameover - some minor controller lag - off sync voice acting in 60 fps - some out of bounce glitches - people who are prone to motion sickness may feel ill playing the game. they can turn off wobble and the acceleration options

Runs great but... The audio is ALWAYS off during cutscenes which really ruins the immersion when getting into the story. Sometimes the sound is like 10 seconds away from the movement which ruins the story

Unfinishable Due to Freezinf. The game has frozen 2 separate times during the post final boss cutscenes now. 2 separate times I have fought and defeated the final boss, only to have to restart the game and go back to the beginning of the fight. This is not to mention the ~5 times the game has frozen on me during my playthrough. The game is itself is good, but the port leaves much to be desired. I don’t recommend buying it here. Play it on a console

Very impressive. I wouldn’t recommend playing this version, but now I’m interested in getting it for my PS5. The iOS version works best with a controller attached.

People playing this game, get real. Leaving a one star review because it’s not optimized for touch is ridiculous. Of course it’s not optimized for that. Grab a controller and play it properly. Everyone who does that is much more able to appreciate the work put into this game

Crashing. Can’t get pass the opening story. Every time the witch appears in the opening story it crashes. Update: Getting further into the game but keeps crashing. The graphics and gameplay are beautiful!! Playing with my Backbone. It’s like I have a PS5 in my hands!! Please fix the crashing issue. 15 Pro Max.

proof of concept, but unfinished... Yes, it’s impressive that an iPhone can run a console game. But, let’s be honest, the iPhone can’t REALLY handle this game yet. In many parts, the main hall of the mansion for example, the frame rate struggles, maybe drops into the 20s. Hopefully, with a little optimization the A17 chip will be able to do the work, but even with all settings at the lowes,t it still struggles in parts. The iPad with the m2 chip obviously run much smoother.

WTH. Fun game…kind of slow but fun, a little clunky That’s not issue.. all of a sudden after purchasing the full game it says application will not open because playing with another Apple account is not allowed…MFers I don’t share my Apple ID..fix this issue I paid for this game…

No cross save. Great game but broken . started playing on my iPhone 15 Pro Max worked great decided to pick up again later on my iPad made me start a whole new game went back to play on my iPhone 15 the next day and it says failed launch of save data attached to a different Apple ID. I only have one Apple ID all my devices use the same Apple ID . So until it’s fixed, I can only give it one star.

Hey Capcom?!. This game and RE Engine in general perform extremely well on every other platform. Why is this game constantly crashing on iOS?! Yes it’s impressive a full fledged AAA game is running on an iPhone, but it’s equally unimpressive that the game is clearly not optimized. I’ve now purchased this game 4 times (PS5, PC, macOS, and iOS) and feel bad for buying it on iOS. I’m worried about the impending RE 4 release in December. Please spend some time optimizing your port and making RE Engine games run well on iOS, it will be worth the delays I promise.

Great game for mobile devices.. Great performance for my iPad pm2. Just one problem for iPad, the black bars on the bottom and top of the screen wish the game was fullscreen.

Fix Controller Aiming Please. The game runs great on my iPhone, and I’m very impressed by how well it runs on an M2 iPad. However, I’ve found looking around with a controller to be quite delayed. I’ve tried multiple wired and wireless controllers, with all having the same issue. Even using the touch control stick has the same result. Oddly, when you use the touch aiming without the virtual stick it feels fine. Once this is fixed my review will be five stars.

How!?. I have no idea how they got this running so well on an iPad. I tend to care more for visuals than frame rate so I aimed for high res/30fps and man. It plays super well. iPad heats like crazy but still. I’m playing RE Village on an iPad!

Good. Good game. The aiming is bad on iPad touch controller and you waste a lot of ammo with it but so far it’s playable. You aim and try to move the rectifier and it stays locked to like a Lycan leg or something. Just have to fire until they die from leg shots. Same across all weapons.

WOW. This game runs great on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. A controller is pretty much required, unless you like buttons all over your screen. Never thought I’d see the day where we can play a game like this on an iPhone. That’s crazy. Also first review. :D

Resident Evil on IOS is amazing. Just like the console game and everything is here and it’s so surreal how next gen it feels on a iPhone and I can’t believe my eyes and I’m currently playing it on my IPhone 15 Pro Max 🔥🔥🔥🔥

This is a mediocre game. Compared with playing this game on a computer, it will be difficult for you to operate it if you play it on a mobile phone. It is difficult for you to aim at monsters because there are too many buttons and the experience is poor.

Too scary for me but makes me very excited for the future of gaming. Played 30 minutes. Everything ran perfectly except for when I tried to cast the picture to my Apple TV and it crashed.

Incredible, but not ready. The fact that this runs natively on a 15 Pro is a great accomplishment, but it comes at the cost of very high heat and instability. Hopefully the developers optimize it over the coming months, but right now it’s pretty difficult to enjoy without worrying about battery health from the heat, and sometimes having extremely choppy frames before events.

Wow. I was shocked when I saw that the game had arrived. And the graphics of the game were good, I played with the PlayStation controller, but I didn't understand at the end, should I buy the original version of the game?

Needs better touch controls. Fantastic/ unbelievable full console quality port but severely limited by on screen touch controls. Developers need to look at Alien Isolation and adapt a similar, custom on screen control scheme for RE Village. Hopefully this will get done soon.

It's more convenient to play on an iPhone than on a gamepad. I completed it for the first time on the touch screen in 3rd person. Masterpiece!!! Gameplay, plot, direction, graphics! Thank you Capcom and Apple!!

Amazing. The fact that I am able to play this on my IPad is incredible… it is hard for me to find fault. Not sure what the other reviewers are referencing in regard to crashing… I have had 1 crash on my iPhone or iPad…

Amazing. Huge Resident Evil fan ever since the first one came out for the Game Cube. Pretty cool that I would be coming back to this series of all for the first AAA to iPhone. And it’s amazing. Ray tracing + graphics are top notch.

Issues. Constantly freezes and crashes, the game looks great . But my phone gets way too hot , I’m running it on medium graphics and at 2k resolution it was way too laggy and skipped frames a lot of I had it any higher also voice / sound does not match the npc’s . It’s about 5 to 10 seconds off

Port of the console version. I’m actually really surprised that this is running natively on the iPhone and now being streamed. It looks so awesome and it’s exactly like the console counterpart! Now I can finally play resident evil when I’m on the go! Super glad that Capcom was able to do this, can’t wait for RE4 Remake to be available on here too!

There is an issue. It is pretty good and stable there is an issue where it says there is another game save from different Apple ID and stuck on that screen ever time I CAN’T PLAY THE GAME

Hot phone, lag city. After 30 minutes on my iPhone 15 Pro Max the game slows to a crawl and has crashed twice - even with settings on recommended. To be fair I do have a case on my phone which probably isn’t helping. I’ll try it again without the case and see if it’s any better.

Welcome to the App Store. I find it hard to believe that Apple did not personally help you get this into the App Store, yet this is catastrophically unusable for the dumbest reasons. If you want me to download your massive asset package, then you have to turn off the screen timer. If you think I’m going to tap on the screen every 30 seconds for 45 minutes, then here’s a one-star review for wasting my time. I hit send, and then it also occurred to me that you ALSO want $60 from me 🤣 jfc

Great RE Game. This port of the game surprisingly runs well enough. It’s a shame only 15 pros and up can run it. It has an occasional stutter and it’s on sale right now as it says in the description so grab it while it’s cheap before it goes back up in price👍

10/ 10. I tried the game and i liked it but it is short like a few story's short i kinda want to get the rest for my iPad i like that they are Making the AAA games more available to people

Welcome to the Show Apple!. The gameplay is incredible, just as I remember on my Playstation 5. Full transparency; I am using my playstation controller connected through Bluetooth. This game is complex and not any easier than its console predecessor, it requires the controller to adapt to the quick reflexes needed to survive this game.

chugs battery. To be able to play this kind of game doesn’t come without its compromises of just absolutely destroying your battery life. Probably 10% per 10 minutes or so. I am playing on an M1 iPad Pro 11” with 256 GB of storage. I don’t think there will be an update that I can fix this issue as AAA games are very intensive and warms up the iPad immensely. Other than that absolutely incredible.
