Crap. I went to set up first device, led strip light, and the app kept telling me to connect to a 2.4g hertz network but I already was connected. If the app can’t figure out I am connected to the right type of network then it shouldn’t be so forceful. If I can’t get this figured out then I will be forced to return the product because of the app and not the product itself.

Purchased for Alexa. Consider myself advanced when it comes to these bulbs and after 4 hours found that the app only works with the camera option. Not the bulbs. I should have known when the average rating was 1.5 on Alexa with everyone else saying it doesn’t work with Alexa.

Garbage. I bought the same mercury strip lights I usually do and then had to switch to this app. It wouldn’t use my Wi-Fi net system so I had use my actual Wi-Fi which takes them out of network. Then 9 times out of 10 I open the app and everything is grayed out so I can’t control anything. The genie app was and is 100 times better.

Worse Indoor Camera. By far the worst camera device ever, the first one we got the camera wouldn’t reset so I had to exchange it. The 2nd one we got, in the app the camera view showed it was upside down when the camera was placed correctly! While I was monitoring, the app itself would freeze. Do not waste your money on this device.

Not efficient APP multiple problems. I was able to get this app to work once before and now I’m sending it won’t so I uninstall it went to reinstall it the first time it took me two hours the second time I’m still unable to install. I’m not wasting another two hours. I’m going to return the product.

Amazing led lights. The lights are amazing I like like that I can change them with my phone and go with my room😍😍

DO NOT BUY. Absolutely the worst cameras you could buy. They false advertise with could storage, never answer your call or return emails via customer service. Was on hold 95 minutes! The cameras like to disconnect or sometimes not load and the motion detection works maybe 20% of the time. Absolute waste of money and time.

New app & Cameras. The new versions both camera and app are horrible. Can’t playback like it says. Can’t have 128gb SD card it has to be smaller. Night vision doesn’t work. There are no options to change things like the old app and cameras. Unless all these new versions have the bugs fixed, I’ll still with my older versions and older app. Waste of money in my opinion.

App crashes. I have written to Support sent a video of the app crashing trying to reinstall it and now I can’t get location services on it. If the app isn’t going to be fixed, then people should really get their money refunded at this point. It is incredibly frustrating working on something for hours and the same thing happens over and over again. Anyone out there looking to buy a camera don’t buy this one. It’s a waste of money and it’s not even heavy enough to be a paperweight!

Was super good!. Was working great for a few days, then they randomly stopped responding, so I decided to re-sync them to my WiFi and it won’t add them back. App fails to add the device to me account, but it will show it in auto detect mode.

But another brand. I wanted geeni brand bulbs made by this same company, they are hard to find now. I saw these and decided to give them a try. They worked for a week. Then the app began to crash when trying to open it. It’s been a few weeks and still no fix for the iOS app! So I have 4 non functioning lights now. They were great until they were not.

Terrible. I bought 4 camera they would not pair spent 160 for new router back to the store for new as cards still no pair tried to subscribe to premium and even called my bank no way to subscribe 3 days still no reply from tech support I say scam how many people gonna spend money and never get connected so disappointed it pairs for 5 minutes without subscription then never again.. super suspicious

App won’t open. Worked fine for a couple months and now the app won’t even open on my phone. It closes itself immediately so my security camera is useless for anything other than a paperweight. I’ve reached out to Merkury customer service twice but no response.

Getting annoyed. I’ve been fighting with this app all evening. I’ve paired the camera twice and it appears to be working. Too bad I can’t say for sure because anytime I try to connect to it through the app it will say the camera is disconnected even though the camera shows up on my WiFi with a strong signal.

Risking your money if you buy. **I don’t recommend this product or anything they make to anyone. Hard to connect and hard to understand customer service and vice versa. I bought 4 totaling almost $50 and ended up throwing them away. I had my receipt but not the packaging. Was a waste of time putting them up taking them down and a waste of money buying them this was the 2nd time I tried their products and same thing so lesson learned. I’m good save your money though and time

Why change a good thing.. I have 2 of the older (4 months) cameras and the older app. It works great I have hardly had a problem out of them. I decide to try 2 of the newer style with the new app. (Only because I couldn’t find the others for sale anywhere) The app is terrible to navigate, the camera wouldn’t stay online. Even though it said it was online. I had to restart it 4 or 5 times. Actually pushing a button on the camera by the way. This was maybe a week at the very most. Had motion set up to take video, but didn’t see one video at all. A single picture every hour on the hour was all that was captured. Will be getting rid of the new cameras and keeping my older ones. Hopefully will be able to find one or 2 more, given that Merkury doesn’t change the original Geeni app.

No stars. Didn’t work when I tried to connect it I even gave it a few days. I can’t even cancel my subscription and no one ever responds I’ve been waiting for a while now and no response, they don’t even have a phone number on their website. This is very frustrating, please do not get their items.

Excellent. This product is excellent and works like a charm and easy to set up. I’m going to buy 4 more before they are all gone. Please send me a coupon ..lolol

Thumbs up. At first I had problems connecting my camera Wi-Fi an app together, but customer service stayed on the phone with me about 30 or 45 minutes to straighten the problem out. Since you and I have had no trouble and I’m very satisfied with this camera.

Night mode. Window with screen does not capture good quality view

So far a very good app with plenty of functionality. Lacks some settings. Would be great to have the option to add or change the email for the account when The account is created with apple or with Google. It’s also necessary to be able to have the option to get sent a password reset email in order to create a password for when the account is created by default with apple or Google without a set password. The app lags in creating detections and notifications for the auto detect smart feature.

No Good. The Geeni app is way better than this one. It was very frustrating to pair my device to the cam which took over an hour of searching online for a solution. Worst of all, they want you to subscribe in order to view the pics or recording in a bigger size. It is my biggest regret of purchasing their newest product. Never again.

Best Investment Ever!. Man this is the best investment I ever bought! I like how the quality of the camera is; it’s not blurry at all! It give you the sense of feeling like you’re there in real time. My only concern is sometimes I loose connection; but then again that might be where I’m at when I’m out an about.

Not that great and poor customer service.. The customer service seems none existent. I emailed once and didn’t get a response at all. Emailed a second time and it was like they never read what i said and just sent me FAQ links. The device itself doesn’t always record events and will stop recording for a whole day or more with no obvious reason. Not following the rules we built in for it either. Overall not great

Easy to Use. This app is very easy to navigate and also has great quality picture with just an update. It doesn’t send a lot of notifications but if it is offline it will. Convenient depending on what you are monitoring.

Absolute garbage!. How an app can decline so much is indescribable. Obviously you have a lot to do to make this right. I have a Merkury Cam, one of the newer ones and virtually nothing is smooth about pairing or using that device with this crap. The old Merkury cameras with the old geeni app were flawless. Whomever the developer of the new app is ought to be fired on the spot for releasing this trash!!!

two apps for geeni devices is stupid. I bought 28 different devices that use the Geeni App. I then bought 14 of these cameras to use all within the same app as the name and company is the same, setting beside the 1080 version only to find out they won’t add to my mercury app I’ve been using, why is this? So I’m out 252 dollars total if I don’t use all the cameras I opened, mounted, and set up, then another 380 to go back and purchase ones that work with the other geeni mercury app. Maybe don’t write POWERED BY THE GEENI APP on the stupid box if it’s nothing but a huge lie, because this isn’t the geeni app. I feel like I purchased a product and was completely lied to by the packaging stating untrue facts. Be aware

Garbage. It is not a wonder why you cannot find their items for sale anymore. Merkury always has had glitches and problems with their smarthome products, but a new app for a single “new” product is pure garbage. Now I have to use two apps to run cameras from the same company? Figure it out, turkeys. All the problems noted by other consumers and nothing making any of their products better. Just more buy, buy, buy. But at this rate it will be far much more like, “bye, bye, bye.”

Review. Such a clear picture , if power goes out I’m alerted by the camera going out

Fine at first. First i had issues not getting alerts at all. Now the app doesn’t even stay open. I’ve reinstalled about 3 times and it still closes the second I open it. Please fix this.

No cancellation in app and poor support. The camera works fine. No way to cancel if you start a trial without getting support help. Support does not know the product well and failed to cancel my account before I was charged. Dishonest and incompetent company. Find a different brand.

Merkury smart. So far this camera app has worked amazingly. It was a cheap price and I highly recommend it.

Best choice. I love these cameras easy set up definitely will get some more

Scam please do not download!!. The real mercury hardware app is under The name “Geeni” The official Mercury camera and security app. As well as the app that controls your household devices like your dimmer, switch, your pet camera, your LED light sin, things of that nature. Please do not go to this app thinking you’ve downloaded the one that is supposed to be downloaded with the official mercury software this is not they are trying to get you in customer service to ask you a bunch of questions that are personal in order to expose you to some type of fraud or scam. Sorry.

Camera. The camera is God awful. If I would have known connectivity would be an issue I’d never have bought the thing. I’ve a camera at my front door that runs on the same internet as this one. It’s never disconnected nor has it ever gave me any issues. It’s not my internet because I’ve got gigabit internet. It’s the camera itself; don’t buy and if you’ve already bought it. Return it before your 30 days return policy is up.

I don’t know why. I don’t know why I would buy another camera like this. I pay money for the camera and then I have to pay you to use. It sounds pretty stupid to me when I can get a better camera and not have to worry about all that miss seems like to me the world is so greedy that they will do everything they can to make money and scam people out of money. It seems senseless to buy something that I have to pay to use. I bought it now it’s useless paperweight, but I’m gonna bust all the pieces and throw in the garbage already destroyed one of them. I have one more left. I’m going to destroy that too. Apples getting bad. About wanting to charge you a little. Monthly fee to use apps that makes no sense. But that’s Apple. The world is more and more evil and greedy. I’m surprised they don’t charge us to breathe now I’m sure that will probably come soon

I got these. I have these cameras I don’t really have any problem with them

Highly recommend. I just started using this app for my led light strip so far it hasn’t given me any issue. Everything on here is perfect. Very simple to setup and use.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Won’t let me buy a plan. The app itself works great but you must buy a plan to watch what the camera records. For some unknown reason every time I try to purchase the plan it tells me unexpected error contact support but there is no support I’m guessing cause there is no way to talk to someone even through the help chat no one responds.

Needs an update!!. The app needs an update I believe the cameras are fine. It just has issues sending the notifications when it detects movement, even with the correct settings on it. It may be a bug with the notification settings.. also the activity log, the log for the detection recordings, is bugging sometimes you’ll see your previous recordings and sometimes it won’t be there. Please update the app and the camera so it can work smoothly!!

Run!. I bought this to watch my elderly mother was I was away in college but the user interface is horrible, along with them, trying to forcefully persuade you into a monthly subscription. You’re better off buying a WebCam or the ring system. Everybody wants to charge description but do not want to provide quality to the product. I did and asked for a service I asked for a product to make sure my mother didn’t fall again. There is a special hot place for greedy people.

Live video. You should have Live Video available on main screen. I am able to see what was captured on each camera in the last 10 minutes but not the option of viewing all three LIVE at one time.

Customer support. The app was great until a week ago. Now it gives me notification but shuts down when I try to view the camera and it won’t allow a live feed. What happened?

What a joke.. Already purchase 2 cameras with the other app. Then we decide, “hey let’s get one for the porch.” I notice they got this white one at Walmart. We spend 40 dollars for this junk just for it to tell us it won’t even give us motion detection unless we subscribe to a plan. So I try to subscribe to this plan and the app has no way to let me, just says to “visit our website” so I do that, and guess what? The website takes me back to the app!! I don’t know how anyone else managed to get a subscription but this is nearly impossible for me to do. I don’t even know the price of this plan yet I still want to purchase it just so I can see who is accessing my mailbox! Fixxx the app (: and the quality is awful. If you just purchased this camera just put it back in the box and get a refund.

Disappointed in Geeni.. I tried to connect the cameras to my other geeni app which contains my Merkury 720 cameras and it wouldn’t not allow me connect to the app. This is terrible I even tried to connect my 720 to this app and still nothing. There is a button which says select other device to connect and it won’t allow you to access that. Why can’t you connect devices if they are made by the same company I do not understand that at all. I rate this a 1 star because I was expecting a lot more from geeni and I am very disappointed.

Very difficult to setup. I have had many different brands of smart bulbs and this is by far the most difficult to setup for the EBE-BAW419 light bulb. Every time I attempt to pair the bulb through the app it tells me to turn on Bluetooth sharing on the iPhone then it automatically sends me to settings and there is no option to turn on Bluetooth sharing. I basically have 2 useless light bulbs because all they do is blink.

Time to ditch Merkury?. I use a lot of Merkury in my house from smart plugs to lights to cameras. This new camera uses a totally different app, you can setup motion sensors and it will take pictures. You can record 20 second and take pictures while viewing the camera. BUT…. You have to pay for a plan to view any of the recordings or pictures? Don’t have to with the older cameras they have. I can’t even save the pictures or recordings to my phone. This new app is trash and the UI is not user friendly.

Camera. Not to difficult to setup but a longer power cord would be nice. Instructions on how to view camera is not there . But I figured it out

No support. Developer making an update and subscription is off line. Has been off line for at least 2 weeks and when I call they tell me there is “no timeline available” as to when it will be back. Told me I could spend an extra $50+ to put a SD card in them to limp along until update is complete. I asked if it could be as long as a year and the “support” again said “ there is no timeline” I spent 2-44+ minute calls on hold. First time they cut me off. No help what so ever with chat support. Don’t buy

Why have an SD card slot?. Why have an SD card slot if no SD card I put in there can be used??? And yes I bought a brand new one for this reason alone, but the app continues to say no SD card found.

Awful. The camera, app, and customer service are all awful. I would not recommend this camera at all.

They need to combine geeni and Merkury. Every time they update these apps I’m without lights. I have to remove them and put the my old bulbs in waste of money. Will be returning all 8 bulbs

Cam. The camera goes off when app starts up

Merkury camera. Camera is good but I can’t set up the subscription for the cloud.

App Crashing. The app keeps crashing so i can’t control my bulbs. Not super convenient to have to go to the Alexa app to control them, especially when it’s so limited through Alexa. Please fix asap!

Tuya is better. This app is trash. Doesn’t work and won’t connect to my Merkury bulb. Tuya is significantly more user friendly and connected to the bulb on the first try. Save yourself the headache and download Tuya instead.

Led lights. My led light strips won’t connect at all but they are such good quality and really nice.

Merkury camera. The camera is excellent

Easy App. I like the app because it’s easy to use and I have messages every day.

Can’t share. Doesn’t allow you to share the camera to another phone. This app and camera is junk. Geni is so much better!!

Develope Across all Platforms. Please develop a mercury app and geeni app across all iOS platforms to include iPad Pro. you can even add Apple TV to the mix. Your development team is getting very lazy please up your standards.

don’t get this. If you are wanting a good led light that you can control from your phone don’t do it. I have tried so many times and it won’t connect. waste of my money. waste of my time. do better.

No stars. App keeps crashing can’t use cameras at all very upsetting since these and this app is used to monitor my 4 year old with epilepsy and to monitor is multiple daily seizures please fix this app crashing issue

Memory card. There’s no option for memory card - formatting. I can instal one but that’s as far as it goes. I have tried 5 different 32gig memory cards that work else were and nothing happens. What the purpose of having a slot if it’s useless.

Waste of money. Camera works on and off and most times I can not see my car. I would recommend you get a better camera for a few more bucks I know I wish I did

The bulbs never connet. Is incredible that the bulb appears in the app but when pairing is never able to complete… this was a nice way to waste 40$ on smartbulbs that doesn’t even work as a normal one cause theyre flashing when you turn on the lights…

You have to subscribe for full benefit. You get alerts but no or very limited visibility into the situation. You SD card is if no use unless you are a subscriber. Otherwise cute cam great fidelity

Horsesh**. Just complete dogsh**. Camera connected first time after about 2 hrs of trying then immediately froze and now it won’t even reset or do anything. All within 4 hours of buying.

Irresponsive. After downloading the App and work four couple of days it became irresponsive. Developer seems to have lots of work to do concerning it.

Pretty easy to use. Setting this up was pretty straightforward . Good night vision.

Trash LED lights do not buy. They don’t work at all. They are horrible. I can change the led colors to blue, green and white. I’m so unsatisfied with this led light strip. Never buying this crappy led strip again. Waste of my money and time. Don’t buy anything from this crappy company.

Good. It’s very nice but it keeps disconnecting from my phone and it’s a struggling to get it set back up sometimes

Not great. Not great as my previous camera. I can’t save photo or get motion warning without pay plan. WiFi isn’t good unless it is close to router. Not worth my time.

I’d rate it less if I could. You have to pair anytime the power goes out. And now the app is broken. Spam screens of “uh oh something went wrong” only option is to restart app, but I can’t because it piles the errors. I’m done with these bulbs. I’m going to a better brand.

Same garbage. 2 apps and neither one work, can’t locate camera on my network, nothing but problems and headaches for years! I expected nothing and they provided nothing!!!!

Horrendous app. I have a lot of the older 1.0 Merkury smart lights and they work great. The new 2.0 lights wont sync with any of my other legacy programs and I was forced to use this one. What a waste… because this app thinks theyre offline 80% of the time.

dont, just dont. i bought LED light strips to put up in my room, and it wouldn’t add the device to my account, only to find out you need a Iphone 13 or higher. didn’t even say it on the packaging, and it was in very fine print on the instructions.

Eh. The app is very slow and just not that great. The outdoor cameras are a joke. The mount was designed without using their brains. Pay the extra money and get something worth your time.

Whats with the update. The update made the privacy mode on the camera disappear and now my camera is stuck on privacy mode and I have to find a way to reset the camera why would you get rid of the privacy feature!!!!?

Avoid. I have an older model with the old app and it’s AMAZING! The new cameras and the new app don’t even work! The motion detection never sends me a notification and the camera disconnects constantly. Terrible upgrade guys… more like a downgrade. Will be returning.

SD card. Why did my SD card stop doing the 20 second recordings??? You are trying to force people into buying a plan?!?!? WHY?

Doesn’t pair. I’ve tried everything in my power to try to connect the smart bulb to the app. However something isn’t working properly and I’m unable to sync the smart lighting with my phone app. 0/10 don’t recommend. Customer support is no help.

Security cam. Great video quality very clear bit you get what you pay for so there is a slight buffer to video
