Love this app!. I love this app. I use it quite often and I find it very user friendly.

Best in its class. I’ve used this developer’s photo editing software for years. Superimpose X is one of my main photo editors. I expected the video editor to be good, but I honestly didn’t expect it to be as good as it is. I can now do things on my iPad that I have always had to do on my PC.

I’m impressed!. Probably will take the number one spot for me right now. Pretty feature rich application, and so far no issues.

Outstanding Editor. This video editor is FANTASTIC. This app will have many professional video ediing apps looking over their shoulders. it’s right up there with the best of them, maybe even better. It has the features you expect from a pricey professional video editing app. After a quick run through the informative tutorials I made my fist video with ease. It will most likely become my go to video editor.

Best app I’ve ever bought. Being fair you buy it once and the app keeps getting great updates. I feel bad for complaining before but the devs handled my criticism well and improved beyond my expectations. I use this app daily and am constantly satisfied with my time spent. I also own the photo version of this app and plan to get the other apps of this series to help my content creation. I have one request for superimpose V is that to add a alpha background option so I can create PNG images with more efficiency.

Outstanding Video App. I use this app to build content for my socials and podcasts... it has replaced several apps that require merging audio, voice overs and videos into one., the video and transition effects are a nice bonus...

Excellent Video Editing app. I’ve been a HUGE fan of SuperimposeX for about 5 years, and was excited to see Pankaj come out with a powerful Video Editor. The first thing I urge you to do is review the dozen video tutorials that are available one you tap the small green hot air balloon icon on the top left. You realize it has many unique features (Flame text, anyone!!!) and is extremely powerful too! I love that it can automask people not only in your videos but even in stickers from Giphy. It is so convenient to have integration with Pixabay for sound effects and royalty free music! It reads SuperimposeX mask libraries, and the interface is very intuitive if you’ve used other video editors like Videoleap. HIGHLY recommend! ❤️

What an amazing fully functional video editor. This provides so many options in an easy to use UI. Easy to learn and comes with many tutorials to help you out. This was a Gem I found on the AppStore.

Other apps could learn a thing or two from this.. Works great!

Great app. I hope they keep improving. Not sure what the future is. Are they waiting to see how popular it is then start charging monthly, yearly etc. Or waiting for a buy out. For now I’m liking it

Superimpose V Continues to Improve. I’ve been using SuperimposeX for years. Superimpose V has replaced multiple other paid and subscription video editing apps. It’s mind-boggling this app is offered at such a low price. The integration of the two applications is fantastic and no other programs I’ve seen offer such a tightly integrated powerful editing Suite. I’ve run into a few small bugs that are usually corrected within days. This app developer deserves high praise for such a amazing pair of applications.

Amazing App But... Amazing app with a great sum of options and customization, keyframes are especially key and the preset curves are addition, but the ability to have the user add and create their own presets is essentially and a missing core feature.

Can’t export videos. Every time I click export it doesn’t export. Why am I giving this a 5-star? Because this app is good but the most important feature is broken. So I am giving this a 5-star so people can see it.

Superimpose just changed the game again. I’ve been a huge fan of Superimpose. It set the standard for superimposing photos. Then Superimpose X came out and made editing layers even easier. I still use it weekly. I just tried Superimpose V and it was just as amazing and easy to use as its predecessors, only for video. I love the ability to cut people out of videos! Thank you so much! Your apps never disappoint!!

Why try anything else?. Well because that what keeps people making better and better apps like this one. Let everybody else take care of that. As type need not look any further! I may sound like I am to impressed with this app not to be affiliated with them. That is probably what I would think. I am not affiliated with anyone , having to with any part of this app. This is a just great app to go with. A great common sense approach to video editing, which is the same for their picture apps. That being said, do understand, any app that is anything close to being a good video editing app, you are going to need to watch a tutorial on. This has them in the app. If you do not take the time to watch the tutorial, you may get flustered and go one that may be so basic you need no tutorial. But your work will not be anywhere near what it could have been, had you patience and taken some instruction. Be teachable, nobody knows everything. This was a reminder to myself more than anyone.

Great Stuff!. Been using Superimpose for awhile now. Glad to know they have a video version as well. Extremely intuitive and helps me create short movies (and memes) fast!

Has bugs but it's ok overall. There's a masking bug I wish the devs would look into. The Auto Person Mask all of a sudden freezes up at about 94% completion and stops working. I have to close the entire program out to continue and I havn't been able to use thus option for months now. Please fix.

Best video editor on iPhone. But…. I have yet to come across a scenario that there isn’t a tool for in this video editor. It seems entirely comprehensive. Also the user interface is very well designed and uncluttered. Editing is easy and effortless. The only problem I have encountered is a bug, where in the project view the three dots disappear on each project, which prevents me from deleting projects once finished and therefore taking up more and more storage space on my phone. The workaround I’ve devised is to simply delete and reinstall the app which clears the projects. Unfortunately it clears projects I would have liked to keep. Hence the four instead of five stars the app would truly deserve.

Plsss read. Really great app! I use it to make all my videos. The money is so worth it. There is one problem every time I try to make a video it closes out. i thought it was storage but I have a lot of storage please fix this. I do have some suggestions: for the animating text (great idea btw) I think there should be like a melt like it can dissolve or something also this would be good for transitions too that’s all I can think of right now thank u 🤗

“Go Superimpose”. Based on what I reviewed so far, this app will rock. There are so many video editing apps in the market, but this one Has the visual effects that we are expecting from the Superimpose team, especially the video masking and the ability to animate. I would strongly suggest to make this app more for video effects than just an editing app. Hope I see more update in the future like title animation and speed ramp. Again, thank you Superimpose for another great app!

Ripple delete???. Does this app have ripple delete or at least a way to lock clips together on the timeline? Surely it must but I can’t seem to find it!

Very Glitchy. I have been using superimpose x for years now and it is my favourite photo editing app for mobile devices, and was naturally very excited to use the video editing version. However i think because the app is so new it has alot of bugs and glitches. I hope that it can improve and eliminate the glitches cause it gets very frustrating at times and it makes video editing super time consuming. Also another change i want to see is with the keyboard commands. I use the app on my ipad so i would really like it if i could delete, copy, paste clips using the commands on my keyboard. As well as dragging multiple clips at once would be amazing.. other than that i have very high hopes with the app and thoroughly enjoy how much you can do with the editing for it being a mobile app and not a computer software. :)

Could be GREAT but lacking Speed. Got this app because i absolutely loved the picture version of Superimpose. This is not that great of a video editing app. I was able to pick it up after some time but after really diving into its use i found that i eventually was able to out pace it. What i mean was there was so much lag and sluggishness trying to accomplish tasks it made it un pleasant. If the app was able to keep up I would probably give it 4 or 5 stars.

Awesome. I just started with the video part. I’ve been using the camera part or image, part forever and love it it’s complicated and I’m self taught and I was actually putting off the video part because it just seemed intense, but I needed a project done that then my other video gave me capability of so I tried it. It was relatively simple for what I needed, and it was amazing how quick and easy I was able to figure it out. 50 stars for this product.

Yay!!!. I’m extremely excited about this app! SuperimposeX had been my #1 photo editor for years now. Inexpensive, no subscription, no tracking - just a stable, consistent, capable, and elegant set of tools I’ve come to depend on. My luck with video editors has been less good. The once-excellent Focos Live became a data harvester for Bending Spoons, the same folks responsible for Splice. LumaFusion is superb, but actually a little too elaborate for most of my needs. To find a video editor that brings the security , economy, and power of SuperimposeX to video is something I’ve been dreaming about. So yeah, I’m stoked! I’m giving it five stars, confident that it’ll exhibit the commitment to quality and ethics that have made SuperimposeX my rock-steady photo editor. Now let’s see what this baby can do! …and so far it’s everything I could wish for and a LOT more besides. The audio processing alone is stunning - but the keyframing!!! And all in an intuitive UI you’ll be using like a pro in no time. This developer doesn’t disappoint. One year on - I can only say that this app is everything I hoped it would be. Absolutely my go-to video editor, often used daily for weeks at a time. The dev continues to add features, nearly always as I’m thinking: “gee, it’d be cool if it could do…” — and voila! I’d rate Superimpose V (and X!) right up there with Procreate as THE superb, stable, ethical, essential tools for creators of visual content.

Great, but a few bugs. This app is pretty amazing, but it doesn't support slomo videos! It just crashes whenever I try to import a slomo video. bug: upon attempting to open mkv video, the app deletes it from file without permission.

A Brilliant Addition to Superimpose X!!! (Updated). Oh my gosh! This app is insane and just continues to get better and better. They just added rain that can be adjusted in size, volume, and intensity. You can even fog the glass and adjust that too. I am an animator and Motion VFX artist. I have literally been hoping and hoping and waiting for software like this to come to mobile. It’s here! This is it! Please give this a try and help spread the word on the Superimpose suite of apps. I don’t ever want them to go away. They have never disappointed. They now virtually cover all of my needs. There is zero necessity for a desktop or laptop device at this point thanks to developers like this. Thanks guys for all of your hard work. You have saved me. ❤️

Masking without a green screen !!!!. I have been using Superimpose X since you released it. The “person” mask extraction has always been your best feature. Superimpose V takes this to the next level. The masking and tracking of the “person mask” is incredible. No need for a green screen. However, is there a way to remove unwanted artifacts from this layer, or anyway to add and subtract pixels? Basically clean up the edges. ? Great job so far with this one.

Amazing!. This app is unbelievable! You can do ANYTHING with this app! Every issue the developer quickly resolved if it can be. The app CAPCUT is trying to make its mark. I like it too but prefer this one. However, there are a few functions on CAPCUT that I wish were available here. Hopefully the developer will implement them. I would rather us this one because I love the way it operates and the fact that it works in conjunction with SuperimposeX. The one issue I found recently has been emailed to the developer. I hope I get a response soon. Thank you SuperimposeV!

SuperImpose V. Everything is extremely good it’s just anytime when I have green screen graphic I want to cut out, it just ends up cutting the whole thing and nothing shows.

Great!. This app is amazingly powerful yet surprisingly simple. It can get unstable at times. If you have a couple hundred clips, it will crash frequently. However, an easy workaround is to export the video, and reimport it. This brings all the clips into one clip, making it way more stable.

Great when it works! (But some bugs). I keep running into 2 very common bugs. First to do with every time I cut or trim a clip I have to redo it a second time otherwise duplicates the clip or just doesn’t cut at all. Second bug is AUDIO! Very important for this to be fixed. Adding audio from other clips or editing audio between multiple clips in the same area cause there to be either non existent sound on the clip your adding or non existent sound on one of the original clips. Otherwise, I’ve made some great videos from this app.

So much. There is so much to play with, don’t know if you can ever use it all! Great product! Wish it was on pc also!

Good start, capable and quick updates. I was one of the users of Superimpose X that requested video capabilities. I’m happy to see Superimpose V introduced. The recent update with LUT usage capability is great. I did some test projects and I am pleased with what you can accomplish combining videos and photos. Integration with Superimpose X is a definite plus. This developer is adding new capabilities at a rapid pace. Hopefully as time goes on, functions such as tracking and a stabilizer can be added to the product capabilities. I will send feature request to the developer as time progresses. Question: what are the total number of tracks supported in a Superimpose V project? Are there specific number of tracks assigned to specific functions like video, audio, effects etc… or you can use any combination you want? Thanks and keep up the good work

PERFECTION!!! But…. This app is EVERYTHING I wish iMovie was! And then some!! My ONLY problem is that the app starts to get REALLY slow and glitchy until it crashes after a few minutes of editing my videos on my iPhone 13 Max Pro. I restarted my phone and closed all other apps but I still get the glitches when I’m scrolling through the video and then the app crashes. I hope future updates can fix this problem. This app is everything I need in a video editing app! Can I send or view crash reports?

😩. Hi there are two problems One cannot save an animated image with a transparent background. For example, images were added and they were animated. There is no way to save them with a transparent background. Number two, effects and elements cannot be modified

An amazing developer and app, but with bugs. Absolutely love Superimpose X, and am stoked about this addition. Though I constantly run into issues of video display disappearing while editing (only resolved by adding a new video on top layer or closing out and reopening) as well as video sound all of a sudden stops playing. I know this app is still new, so I don’t doubt these bugs will be fixed in due time. But at the moment it does prolong editing time having to work around it. Overall a great layout and very easy to use while allowing some additional features and transitions compared to many other video editor apps i’ve come across over the years!

Great potential!. I love the functionality and lightweight performance of this video editor. However, there are some tools I would like added. A 'Audio Panning' effect with key frame support would be fantastic. Being able to change the audio channels would be nice too. However, there are some bugs right now. The one that is extremely annoying is that every audio effect, fade in/out or any of the ones in the effects menu make the audio play on only one channel instead of both. It's more noticeable with headphones/earbuds. I'm not too good at explaining things like this, but I hope that if the developer sees this, they can look into this and hopefully find out what I'm talking about. Regardless, this has great potential and I'm looking forward to the future for this video editor. 4/5.

Insane. Absolutely insane.. How is this free again? I spent $25 on LumaFusion, and yes, that app is insane. But holy crap, holy crap, this is right there. Price wise, this app should be like $22-23. And LumaFusion doesn’t have tracking, auto masking, free royalties, speed editor, the list goes on. How is this free???? 30/10. I feel bad ripping the developer off- make it cost something so I can pay it and my conscience can let me off the hook 😂

slow hangs. Slow and cumbison

Fantastic!!. This does all the heavy lifting when comes to compositing needs on the iPhone. The biggest extra is no subscription required. Summed with the video/compositing app and your set.

I love this app. Immensely powerful and intuitive. Bellow the surface this app is easy for 8 year olds to do motion tracking chroma keying and keyframing. This truely does have features that pro apps struggled to do 10 years ago without a lot of cpu ram and knowledge. My biggest fear is that they will do with this like all the other great software and throw it behind a subscription paywall. Hopefully not. This is a amazing educational tool and something that can be expanded on in the future.

Good app for beginners!. Overall a good beginner app for editors. One con is that the app continuously crashes, and sometimes doesn’t auto save. I have the newest iphone and have tons of space, therefore I don’t think my device is the cause of this issue.

Incredibly Powerful Editor!. I’ve been a Superimpose user since long before “X” was released, and have always used it as my main photo editor. Now I may begin using Superimpose V as my main video editor as well, because of its powerful key framing abilities and stunning effects! The only thing it’s missing is the ability to access and use media from the Files app, which I hope will be implemented in the near future!

Versatile and Thorough. The app is good on my iPhone. Snapseed has a ton of features and is relatively easy to use.

Doesn’t split correctly. Every time i try to split a clip it ends up duplicating the part i split at instead.

Can’t share to Facebook. I worked for two days to add video clips to an audio file . i shared to Facebook but it wouldn’t work . if I can figure out why it doesn’t work, then I’d give Superimpose V a higher rating

Bring back old pixelate. 7/8/24 We use to be able to pixelate the whole picture form excluding outer edges but know the pixelation only effects inside the imported images including transparent images of objects and people keeping the outer highlighted image normal.Example:the scatter effect still effects entire pictures -pixelate use to do this 5/25/2024 Finally you guys updated,and added zoom with keyframes!!! But these are already presets and difficulty to keyframe.can you plz add a simple customizable zoom effect?

Great, except…. Currently I’m running 16.3.1 on an iPad Air 2020 4th generation. The issue I’m having is pretty major: the sound drops out. For instance, I have a project that is an hour and 44 minutes long, and I’ve created some splits, but I have done no changes to the audio. About halfway through the project, I created a split, and after that point, the audio will not play. Again, I made no changes to audio volume. The sound just doesn’t play. I’ve tried closing and reloading, restarting the iPad. Making sure I have minimal programs running in the background. To no avail. I can’t work with this app if this keeps happening. And it’s happened in previous iOS versions (15) as well.

Tutorial needs work. Difficult to use, tutorial isn’t user friendly. I can not even merge a clip

Can’t open my video. I have been working on a video that is 8 mins and I was almost done when the program froze then kicked me out and now I can’t open my video. Waste of time.

Room for improvement. I wish we had a reduce noise feature to smooth the skin and Un sharpen mask should work without the threshold. The whiteness ruin videos sometimes.

Buggy. When I put multiple videos/sounds into a project, it won’t play the sound of them while I play them back to make sure I have them properly timed. It used to be good but now it’s a poor product. This is very buggy

not worth the money. for 10 dollars its very niche, u can only appy filters to the entire screen, masking is terrible ended up using their photo app cause it just overall is better

This is the most useful app I own. I use this app nearly everyday. I hate the style that some of these ai editors do with the face tracking and would far prefer to do it myself. My computer with Final Cut is in my office so this is perfect for smaller projects like reels and TikToks. I’ll edit the keyframes here and send it to Skynet for captions. The transitions are great and the editor is easy to use. Effects are great and the workflow reminds me a ton of the old Superimpose photo editor which I’ve been using since I was 12. I have two gripes! Nothing big. First off the split clip function glitches A LOT. It’s not rare to split and it duplicates everything before the play head. Second is very specific to me. I work for a broadcast studio, and our video is recorded in interlaced, not progressive. Once I import interlaced clips into the editor the quality takes a massssive down turn. Any movement and it looks like waving your hand in front of an old tube tv.

Handy but could be much better. Superimpose X has a warp effect with a snap to grid feature. This NEEDS that. — 2024 edit: they must have sold the app because now there is a paywall for many features even for those who previously paid. No good.

Awesome Features, Useful Tools. This developer has been supplying us with great photo editing apps and tools for quite some time now. This app should be the default movie making app for iOS and Android due to its plethora of options, and most importantly, its ease of use.
